- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Sannas podcast. It's Ashley
- 0:08Speaker 2: and Ben and I are doing our individual interviews with
- 0:12Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, like all of Bachelor nation, who is
- 0:14Speaker 2: here tonight at the Bachelor Mansion with me? Right now?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I have Christina and Edith from the Golden Bachelor. And
- 0:23Speaker 2: while we're recording this, it happens to be the finale
- 0:25Speaker 2: of the Golden Bachelor, Ladies. When I'm assuming that you
- 0:30Speaker 2: know the winner, and once this episode comes out, everybody
- 0:34Speaker 2: will know the winner. Did you predict it to be
- 0:37Speaker 2: her at the beginning or when you left the mansion?
- 0:43Speaker 3: I actually thought it was going to be Leslie.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Okay, so you know I was wrong.
- 0:49Speaker 4: I have a feeling that is gonna be Teresa, but
- 0:52Speaker 4: you know I could be wrong too, so I don't know.
- 0:55Speaker 5: My predictions originally was Leslie and Nancy. Those are my
- 1:00Speaker 5: top two. Like the first night, I mean, of course
- 1:02Speaker 5: I wanted to be but I really felt that those
- 1:05Speaker 5: two were. And then as watching the show and stuff, yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 5: you kind of just felt like Teresa was going to
- 1:11Speaker 5: be in there.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Okay, so you guys really felt at the end, you
- 1:16Speaker 2: felt it. Now, I didn't feel at the end like
- 1:18Speaker 2: she didn't think she was gonna go all the way.
- 1:20Speaker 4: You know what, when Teresa told me that first night
- 1:24Speaker 4: that you know, she went on the date with Gary and.
- 1:27Speaker 3: How she felt, I looked at her.
- 1:29Speaker 4: It was just like her eyes were just so bright
- 1:33Speaker 4: and she was just mesmerized with this man. I'm thinking,
- 1:37Speaker 4: oh my god, Teresa's already fallen for him. And you
- 1:40Speaker 4: know what, right there, I said, you know what, it
- 1:43Speaker 4: could happen, But.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I had just two of those people.
- 1:47Speaker 4: It was Teresa and Leslie, and it actually happened that
- 1:51Speaker 4: they're the last two.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So please tell me why I thought it was Faith
- 1:56Speaker 2: the entire time.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Well, I think, I mean she got the first impression Rose,
- 2:02Speaker 5: which always, if you've watched the show like I have
- 2:04Speaker 5: for a long time, that person seems to go far
- 2:07Speaker 5: and and there's always seems to be this attraction to
- 2:12Speaker 5: that person. Maybe that, and then I think as time
- 2:15Speaker 5: went on, even I felt very different about Faith, how
- 2:19Speaker 5: she portrayed herself and how she was very.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Vulnerable to everything.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I was kind of blown away by how their attraction
- 2:28Speaker 5: really got strong.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Well, I was just taken aback based
- 2:34Speaker 2: on seeing his hometown with her and saying I love
- 2:38Speaker 2: you in front of the family.
- 2:39Speaker 6: But he said that to all three but not so reason.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Why do you think he held back with Theresa?
- 2:44Speaker 6: But you tell her family?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yes, he said that he was falling in love with
- 2:48Speaker 2: her to the family, but not directly to her. Okay,
- 2:50Speaker 2: So why holding back with the person that he ends
- 2:52Speaker 2: up with.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I don't know. But I never saw it with Faith.
- 2:57Speaker 4: You know, Faith was in my we were roommates, but
- 3:01Speaker 4: I just didn't see it. I know that she was
- 3:04Speaker 4: really into him, but I just didn't see Gary really
- 3:08Speaker 4: into her.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Interesting. Wow, the things we don't see.
- 3:13Speaker 6: And Leslie was.
- 3:14Speaker 5: My roommate and and from the beginning I kind of
- 3:18Speaker 5: thought that she was maybe a front runner, but then
- 3:21Speaker 5: getting to know her, you could I could feel why
- 3:24Speaker 5: she would be I mean, she's very warm, she's just
- 3:27Speaker 5: very nice and all that, and I think he saw
- 3:32Speaker 5: that in her as well.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So do you guys think that there'll be a Golden Bachelorette?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Yes, but who knows what?
- 3:39Speaker 4: You know what?
- 3:40Speaker 3: I know that it is, but we don't you know.
- 3:43Speaker 5: You know that there is there is gonna be a
- 3:45Speaker 5: golden back only because the show was so popular, and
- 3:49Speaker 5: I think it's going to be.
- 3:50Speaker 4: But I don't know who they're gonna choose, and I'm,
- 3:52Speaker 4: you know, most likely it's going to be in the
- 3:54Speaker 4: last you know two, Leslie or Faith.
- 3:58Speaker 3: You know, I don't know, I have I have.
- 4:00Speaker 5: What I would like to see personally, is them to
- 4:02Speaker 5: change the format for the Golden Bachelor or Bachelor, not
- 4:07Speaker 5: keep the same format as with the younger like I
- 4:09Speaker 5: had suggested to some of the producers, have three of
- 4:12Speaker 5: the ladies. I mean, they have this incredible fan base
- 4:15Speaker 5: and all these people who really like them that figure
- 4:18Speaker 5: out something to do and bring a couple of them back,
- 4:20Speaker 5: Because you bring one back, there's going to be like
- 4:22Speaker 5: all kinds of controversy.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but then we see controversy when we have double bachelorettes.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Well, but that was the young ones.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeahs are definitely way more supportive of each other.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I think so because we really not, you know, we're
- 4:36Speaker 4: just looking for love. We already have our families, we
- 4:38Speaker 4: already have grandkids. We you know, we have our kids.
- 4:41Speaker 4: So I guess it's going to be a little bit different.
- 4:44Speaker 4: That's my you know, idea.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So I love that you bring that up because Ben
- 4:48Speaker 2: and I have had a little bit of a difference
- 4:50Speaker 2: on this throughout the season. To me, if I were
- 4:54Speaker 2: in so many of your cases a widow or I've
- 4:57Speaker 2: already had kids, in a family life and all that,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I would think that I'd be lucky to experience it again.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But I also think that I would probably be just
- 5:06Speaker 2: fine if I didn't. I think that on the normal
- 5:10Speaker 2: Bachelor show, because you haven't had that and you're working
- 5:14Speaker 2: towards creating a family, there's a little bit more of
- 5:17Speaker 2: an urgency totally. So what do you guys think about that?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Like which feeling is more intense the older version of
- 5:25Speaker 2: the younger version.
- 5:26Speaker 4: I have to be honest with you, as us be
- 5:29Speaker 4: getting older, we have the same heart. The heart doesn't
- 5:32Speaker 4: know the difference between being young or older. That's what
- 5:35Speaker 4: the younger generation doesn't understand. My heart still thinks that, hey,
- 5:40Speaker 4: he's out there and I'm going to find him and
- 5:42Speaker 4: I want the true love, you know, just like in
- 5:45Speaker 4: the beginning before I met you know, my husband and
- 5:47Speaker 4: I had them, you know, I have my kids and everything.
- 5:51Speaker 4: I think that we still have this love that we
- 5:55Speaker 4: want to give and that we want to find this,
- 5:58Speaker 4: and so I have a feeling, I mean, this is
- 6:00Speaker 4: gonna you know, it's going to be different. It's going
- 6:03Speaker 4: to be I gonna.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Say, for me, it's a little different.
- 6:07Speaker 5: I'm I'm seventy four, and he'd look amazing, gorgeous.
- 6:11Speaker 6: I live a really full life.
- 6:13Speaker 5: I travel. I've been to thirteen countries in the last
- 6:16Speaker 5: five years. I'm very busy. I do all kinds of
- 6:18Speaker 5: adventurous stuff. I'm happy and I'm fulfilled, but I really
- 6:23Speaker 5: want that companionship.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I want to fall in love.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I have one more time. I still want to fall
- 6:29Speaker 3: in love.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yeah, you're just looking at the right person out there,
- 6:32Speaker 4: and I know he's out there.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I just haven't found them.
- 6:34Speaker 6: And to enjoy the things I like to enjoy.
- 6:36Speaker 5: I mean, I I'm fulfilled and I live a good life,
- 6:39Speaker 5: but I want to share it with you. I want
- 6:41Speaker 5: to partner to share those things with me that we're
- 6:44Speaker 5: on the same level with things. So I think that's
- 6:46Speaker 5: the difference. Because our kids are raised and I have
- 6:49Speaker 5: grandkids and everybody's doing fine. But I really want to
- 6:52Speaker 5: do more and have someone to share it with.
- 6:54Speaker 2: So can you guys remind us I keep saying you guys,
- 6:57Speaker 2: but like you guys are ladies, so I need to
- 6:59Speaker 2: stop with that. Ladies, Can you remind us of your
- 7:03Speaker 2: backstories individually a little bit? Christina? What's your family and
- 7:08Speaker 2: relationship background?
- 7:09Speaker 5: I have two children, one fifty four, one's fifty two.
- 7:13Speaker 6: Isn't that mind blowing?
- 7:14Speaker 2: I wish you guys could see her right now during
- 7:16Speaker 2: this interview.
- 7:17Speaker 6: I have fifty four my old children, thank you.
- 7:19Speaker 5: I have four grandchildren twenty six, twenty one, eighteen, and fifteen,
- 7:24Speaker 5: and my twenty six yearld grandson just got married. So
- 7:27Speaker 5: I mean, and my family, everyone's very successful, doing well,
- 7:32Speaker 5: no issues, and we're very close. My family's my heart,
- 7:35Speaker 5: My family's everything. But I mean, they want me to
- 7:39Speaker 5: find somebody else there. It's like almost a worry, like
- 7:42Speaker 5: you're alone stuff, And I tell them I'm okay, but
- 7:45Speaker 5: they really want to see me with somebody else and
- 7:47Speaker 5: know that I would enjoy that. But I'm very lucky.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I have such a great family and they're extremely supportive.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, you see, we're going to need all these people
- 7:57Speaker 2: to be the bacheloratte How are we going to do this?
- 8:00Speaker 2: So we really need Bachelor in Paradise golden.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Oh I.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Oh, I love that.
- 8:09Speaker 4: If they asked me right now, you're going and I'm
- 8:12Speaker 4: will like ready, I take off right now?
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, guys, you.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Know great babieses, I can already see it. We don't.
- 8:21Speaker 6: We don't like to have fun or anything right.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Either.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Please tell us your background.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I was married for twenty five years to my love
- 8:40Speaker 4: of my life, and apparently you know, I fell out
- 8:42Speaker 4: of love. But I had these three beautiful kids thirty six,
- 8:48Speaker 4: thirty four, and thirty one amazing.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Oh no, thirty two, I'm sorry.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Two boys and and my youngest daughter amazing. I love them.
- 8:58Speaker 4: They just want me to be happy. Yeah, they're very
- 9:01Speaker 4: supportive and just trying to get out there and find them.
- 9:07Speaker 6: That's my new year's resolution. What of mine? Get better,
- 9:10Speaker 6: pick a ball and find a man.
- 9:13Speaker 2: All right, Well, we'll all start talking to the producers
- 9:16Speaker 2: about this paradise situation. What if it was like a
- 9:19Speaker 2: mix and mingling situation where we had the olders and
- 9:22Speaker 2: the youngers together.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Oh, that would be interesting. Ones like I think.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Things to do to make sure that they go through
- 9:33Speaker 5: life to be happy.
- 9:34Speaker 6: And in their later years. So much advice could those mistakes?
- 9:41Speaker 2: What if we had like one beach with you, guys,
- 9:43Speaker 2: one beach with them, and then like you would visit
- 9:46Speaker 2: each other and like cross this.
- 9:48Speaker 6: And they could ask us questions and we could be
- 9:49Speaker 6: like consulting.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yes exactly, it will be so amazing.
- 9:55Speaker 6: Consultant.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, I love that idea. Yes, it would.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I would love that.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It's been so fun with you ladies. Just last question
- 10:05Speaker 2: to wrap things up, is Gary your prototypical type? Is
- 10:10Speaker 2: this a man that you would have seen walking around
- 10:12Speaker 2: and been like, Ah, that is the kind of man I'd.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Like to with.
- 10:16Speaker 5: So when everything first came out about him, literally we
- 10:20Speaker 5: had everything in common, everything, everything he listed important, We
- 10:25Speaker 5: had something in common. In this environment, it wasn't meant
- 10:29Speaker 5: to be for me. I feel like if I was
- 10:32Speaker 5: to meet him in the real world, out in you know,
- 10:34Speaker 5: Pasadena or something, I would have had a chance to
- 10:37Speaker 5: get to know him because we did have an awful
- 10:41Speaker 5: lot in common. I was very attracted to him. I
- 10:43Speaker 5: thought he's very handsome, he was so nice and charismatic.
- 10:46Speaker 5: But in this environment it didn't work.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I get it. I bet you.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I'm a little bit.
- 10:51Speaker 2: More for us. We needed to be friends first, for sure,
- 10:55Speaker 2: I definitely needed a little bit more of a slower
- 10:56Speaker 2: process exactly.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Yeah, and for me very much so.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But in terms of like the therapy that you basically
- 11:04Speaker 2: go through as part of the show, I did need that.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Okay, Edith, what about you?
- 11:10Speaker 4: You know what, as soon as I saw him, I
- 11:13Speaker 4: was so like, I was excited just to look at him,
- 11:16Speaker 4: and I you know, I was just so crazy about
- 11:20Speaker 4: meeting him, and and you know what, I had the
- 11:22Speaker 4: spark but apparently he didn't have no spark from me.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 6: And we left the same time.
- 11:28Speaker 2: So sad to see you all leave.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Oh we were sad too, But you have each other now.
- 11:37Speaker 6: Yes, so great.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for joining us, Thanks for
- 11:42Speaker 2: celebrating the finale with us.
- 11:44Speaker 6: We're so excited.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yes, we're excited to be here. Thank you, Bye bye,
- 11:49Speaker 3: Thank you.
