- 0:00Speaker 1: Listen to this. Think back to the last time you
- 0:04Speaker 1: felt totally maxed out mentally, okay?
- 0:06Speaker 2: Maxed out.
- 0:07Speaker 1: You're stressed out, right? Think back to the last time
- 0:10Speaker 1: that you were just like lost it, right? What do
- 0:14Speaker 1: you do? How do you get rid of that stress?
- 0:16Speaker 1: How do you say when your mental load is at
- 0:18Speaker 1: maximum capacity? What do you do to de-stress? What do
- 0:23Speaker 1: you got, Peyton?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I call Kyle.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I call Kyle and I tell her exactly what's making
- 0:29Speaker 3: me mad.
- 0:29Speaker 4: And then she just tells me it's never that serious.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And then I'm usually fine and I go get a
- 0:33Speaker 3: drink after.
- 0:33Speaker 5: That's when you see Peyton at the bar at six.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Or when I was in high school.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I used to meet my friends. There was this spot, like,
- 0:41Speaker 3: kind of in Ahwatukee, where you would be able to
- 0:43Speaker 3: oversee the city. And we'd go up late at night,
- 0:45Speaker 3: and we would park at the top. We had to
- 0:46Speaker 3: drive through this neighborhood. And we would just scream, scream
- 0:49Speaker 3: bloody murder at the top of our lungs.
- 0:51Speaker 4: And we'd always lose our voice after, but it felt
- 0:53Speaker 4: so good.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Wait, you and how many people would do that?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Like, maybe me or two of my friends.
- 0:56Speaker 2: You'd just scream? Yeah, just top, top of our lungs.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Like, you just got to get it out.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Okay, what do you got, Rich? I'm close to that.
- 1:02Speaker 5: I usually sing some kind of Disney song really loud. Like,
- 1:06Speaker 5: you know, like if I'm totally stressed, I'm completely brain max.
- 1:08Speaker 5: It'll be like, let's get down to business to defeat
- 1:13Speaker 5: the huns.
- 1:14Speaker 4: So that's why you were singing FIFO this morning.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You guys walked in, I was maxed out. I was like,
- 1:19Speaker 2: somewhere out there. Is there anything you do, Kyle, to de-stress?
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I go into my closet. I shut the door.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I sit on the ground and I put my headphones
- 1:29Speaker 4: on and listen to music.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Listen to Enya? I remember that.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Usually Enya and his very good one.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Have you done that recently? No, not recently. Thank goodness.
- 1:37Speaker 1: A hundred people gathered at the beach in San Francisco,
- 1:41Speaker 1: much like Peyton, so they could scream at the ocean.
- 1:45Speaker 1: They could think about any bad thing in their life
- 1:47Speaker 1: and just let it all out.
- 1:49Speaker 3: This is the moment that we've all been treating for,
- 1:51Speaker 3: that you guys all came up here for today.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Really think about all the horrible.
- 1:54Speaker 6: Things, every horrible thing that's ever happened to.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You since you were born into this cruel, cruel world.
- 1:58Speaker 6: We're going to let it all out, 100% of your power,
- 2:00Speaker 6: on 3, 2, 1.
- 2:09Speaker 1: See, I like that because I remember one point I
- 2:12Speaker 1: had a rough period in my life, and I think
- 2:14Speaker 1: I came on the air and talked about it. I
- 2:15Speaker 1: would be at the gym, and there was a hot tub,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and I would go underwater in the hot tub and
- 2:19Speaker 1: scream at the top of my lungs underwater.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It was so... That's intense. It was great. It felt great. Now,
- 2:25Speaker 2: I just lift weights.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Now I feel like I get it out lifting weights
- 2:27Speaker 1: and stuff, but I don't like the concept of every
- 2:30Speaker 1: single bad thing that's ever happened in your life. At
- 2:31Speaker 1: some point, you've got to move on. I think if
- 2:32Speaker 1: you're going through something right now, and you need to...
- 2:34Speaker 1: You let it all out.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I guess it's good that if you're holding on to
- 2:37Speaker 4: any of that stuff.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You're going to put Kyle to sleep now.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Here's Kyle's closet jam.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I usually do.
- 2:45Speaker 4: A different Enya song, but this is good.
- 2:46Speaker 2: It's all right. This is the one I had in
- 2:48Speaker 2: the system, Kyle. All right.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I'm not stressed, so. It is pretty peaceful.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Go ahead, Peyton.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Let it out, Peyton.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Ah!
- 2:56Speaker 3: Ah!
- 3:16Speaker 5: Did they give me daughters when I asked for sons?
- 3:21Speaker 4: So much stress relief. We should all feel real loose
- 3:25Speaker 4: right now, gang.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Hey, if you want to call the radio show and scream,
- 3:29Speaker 1: feel free. Call us, 877-937-1047.
- 3:30Speaker 2: We'll let you de-stress on our radio show. I could
- 3:35Speaker 2: be the twist, the one to make you stop.
- 3:37Speaker 4: It's so easy. Fall in love with me.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich. Misha, good morning.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:49Speaker 2: That's good. That's pretty good. All right. That had some
- 3:54Speaker 2: firepower on it.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Wow.
- 3:55Speaker 6: All right.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That's how you de-stress.
- 3:57Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I don't know that I'd want to work in the
- 4:00Speaker 5: same cubicle room with her that would frighten me to death.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Okay, guys, but, like, for real, what, like, there was
- 4:09Speaker 6: this one day, like, oh, my God, I was so
- 4:12Speaker 6: stressed because it was one of those days where, like,
- 4:15Speaker 6: you know where everything goes wrong? So, like, right from
- 4:20Speaker 6: the beginning, like, I overslept.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I didn't, like, hear my alarm.
- 4:24Speaker 6: And then, like, I had this huge presentation at work, and, like,
- 4:29Speaker 6: I completely blanked. And then like later, like my friends
- 4:34Speaker 6: texted me because we were supposed to go on this
- 4:36Speaker 6: like girl trip and they canceled it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And like, I was so.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Bummed and you know, I was like, I'm going to explode.
- 4:44Speaker 6: I don't know what to do.
- 4:46Speaker 4: So I decided to.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Just like try one of those, like shake the stress
- 4:49Speaker 6: out of their body videos. Like I'd seen online, you know, those,
- 4:54Speaker 6: and like, I found like I was at work, so, like,
- 4:58Speaker 6: I thought one of the empty conference rooms was.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Like, good, you know, available. So it was, like, cool.
- 5:09Speaker 6: And like just regulate my body and whatever. So I
- 5:14Speaker 6: like fully locked the door, put my AirPods in and
- 5:18Speaker 6: like committed.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I was like locked in. I was like, let's do it.
- 5:21Speaker 6: So it was like my arms were flaring and like
- 5:24Speaker 6: my legs were shaking.
- 5:26Speaker 5: And like my whole body was vibrating.
- 5:28Speaker 6: And like at one point, I was like bent over
- 5:31Speaker 6: making these weird like breathing noises because the lady on
- 5:34Speaker 6: the video kept saying like.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Let it out, let it out.
- 5:37Speaker 2: So I was like, you know, doing that.
- 5:43Speaker 6: And then, you know, I'm not going to lie. Like
- 5:47Speaker 6: when I finished it, like I took my AirPods off.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I was like, oh, my God, this worked. Yeah, you're
- 5:52Speaker 2: probably exhausted.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and I felt better.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Like, I let it out until, like, I heard applause. And, oh,
- 6:01Speaker 6: my God, my heart just dropped. Because, like, it turns out, like,
- 6:05Speaker 6: the conference.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Room had, like, this.
- 6:08Speaker 6: you know kind of like glass wall that turns out
- 6:10Speaker 6: to like be clear when the lights are on and
- 6:13Speaker 6: like literally there were like about eight of my co-workers
- 6:18Speaker 6: just like standing there and i like apparently they had
- 6:21Speaker 6: been watching me the entire time um.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Like you're like oh no i gotta start again when
- 6:29Speaker 2: you turn the lights on you can.
- 6:30Speaker 6: See through the glass But, hey, you know, because it
- 6:34Speaker 6: kind of, like, worked for a second, like, honestly, I
- 6:37Speaker 6: still do.
- 6:38Speaker 2: It every day.
- 6:39Speaker 6: But, like, now at home with the curtains closed.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Sure.
- 6:42Speaker 2: All right, Misha.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Shake that stress out.
- 6:46Speaker 4: That's a good way to de-stress.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in. Hey, hey. Thank you. You know,
- 6:51Speaker 2: don't knock before you try. No, no, no. Your scream
- 6:53Speaker 2: is great. Thanks for screaming this morning.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Thank you, guys.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Clayton, good morning. All right. Does it feel good? Feels
- 7:08Speaker 2: pretty good. Honestly, though, usually when I'm stressed, I power
- 7:14Speaker 2: wash things.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Power wash.
- 7:16Speaker 4: It is actually very satisfying to power wash.
- 7:19Speaker 5: It's like crazy how much like it feels like you
- 7:23Speaker 5: were in control when you were power washing, right?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Like nothing can get past you that's dirty.
- 7:29Speaker 6: Yeah, it's just the sound, like the dirt coming out.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's just so satisfying.
- 7:34Speaker 6: It's like the, I don't care what it is, the driveway, patio,
- 7:38Speaker 6: trash cans, furniture, outdoor furniture.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I don't care if I'm stressed.
- 7:43Speaker 6: I'll just start blasting dirt off of something.
- 7:45Speaker 2: That's nice.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I can see how they can take your mind off
- 7:49Speaker 1: of something.
- 7:50Speaker 6: I love it.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I haven't done it in a long time.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That's good, Clayton.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in, man.
- 7:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Good stuff. John Jay and Rich.
