- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck ya!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Each week, my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Patebabe, how are you?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Happy Friday, Happy Febby, where I'm super excited to chat with you today, I mean, link.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Something about February is just really nice because they're like, okay, we're in this, we're in it.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the month.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the new year.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're in all the things and there's lots of stuff going on.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, always, but you made it.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're here.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the day that we celebrate things.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: We're inspired by things.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: We like.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: kind of have a loose agenda for days of the days I like to reflect on the week and that's why it's a great day to like celebrate something you did do because you did something great.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know you did.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: Especially since most of our listeners are women, I thought this would be a fun thing for us to look at together.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: So let me pull up my inspiration, you know, inspirations don't always have to be exciting.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: This one is interesting and the important for us to know.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Women are 83% of single parents doing 66% of the work producing 50% of the food, but earn just 11% of the pay and own only 20% of the land.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: All while getting birth to 100% of the population.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: in case you wondered why we still need feminism.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I share this because look, I think it's amazing if you want to choose to not have a traditional work job, like if you're going to like work from home, or things like that, the fact that you get to choose is because of feminism, and I think it's important that we continue to remind people that it wasn't always a choice.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: and women are still not getting paid what their fair share is and there are plenty of women who are doing a ton on paid labor.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's a bunch of people out there who get to do different paid labor jobs because of the unpaid labor of women.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want, I just want us to remember that because it can be really easy to think that, oh my gosh, like we're greedy or as ridiculous, we want these things or you just be happy with what I have.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, every time you fight for you, you're also fighting for the other woman around you.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: You are so many women benefit from it, you know, especially those who can't fight for themselves right now who don't have the rights or the ease to have those rights.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: So don't stop fighting in the countries and places that you live and don't stop reminding that the people around you men and women or and everything else and everyone else who are like it's not that big or deal like we've moved on by now.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, something that really bothers me is that when a male drives from one state to another, his rights don't change.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: But for women, their rights do.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that right there should piss you the fuck off.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't mean it because I want you to be an angry place at the time, but like my goodness,
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so if you have a family member or a person in your life who's like, you know, it is a big deal.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And this is why.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you can use the link in the show notes below to go over those stats with them and kind of just say, like, explain to me why you think we don't need it anymore.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I just would like to say, like, in the history of the US, we haven't had a, you know, all female at the top running this country.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Even at state levels, right?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like if I'd governor's, but like the rest of the state is not majority women running in, it's always had a majority of men, but never a majority of women.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: So...
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: you know, we haven't got what we want.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't done that yet.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: And you can't tell me if him is a problem when women haven't been in charge of everything.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so I'm not saying that we're better than they are or they're worse than us or whatever I'm just saying, I think we really still have a lot of reminding people to do that they're still work to do and we're still not there yet.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, that is my little thing for today.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get into your winds.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we have from Nancy Lawrence who's an elevate grad and just an all around amazing woman who we've got to go to Cambodia with and celebrate.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: She's got a great win.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: She said, my win, watching this young queen teach Poliz in our own beautiful studio.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I tell you, she's headed to Cambodia for this year's retreat.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: She's smashing it.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I love this win, Nancy, because
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: you and your daughter are smashing it and there's a picture that was attached to this way which is like of Miranda teaching in the speed of full space and you know when we went to Cambodia together the year before none of those things were on the drawing board and so like the fact that you get to have a win where you're so present in a space and you're watching your beautiful daughters an amazing teacher teach in that space what a beautiful win you know it's so interesting how we can underestimate what happened
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just by being focused on what we want to do, it's kind of incredible what we can do and then what we get to witness along the way.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for sharing that one with us.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: So my win is I bought a blow dryer and I have been learning to blow dry my hair.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: And you've got to see it from today's video.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I have been, so once a week, I wash my hair in the night, fry with different blow dryer attachment.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Blow dry my hair.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so I've had more days with my hair down than I usually do.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it's quite fun.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's not at all as gorgeous and wonderful as when my hairdresser does it.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: We can't expect a big thing from ourselves because I only wash my hair once a week.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, at this point, I've been doing it for 12 weeks now.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you take one week out of each month away from my hairdresser doing it, I've only had nine attempts and I'm not terrible at it.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I am really excited about myself for doing that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, a win can be just learning something new.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: giving yourself a mission to be able to get her at something and not great, like that can be a win.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe if one like that, you can share with us.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: You can send your wins into beepot.com slash questions, wins and questions go the same place, and we'll celebrate your wins with you here, because you'll hear it probably months down the road, what do you need to be reminded that you did something amazing?
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: All right, your mantra for the weekend, I do all things in love.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: I do all things, I do all things in love to this you do.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Have a great weekend.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Send your wins and celebrate
