- 0:11bitch Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the
- 0:13Mercedes Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.

- 0:31the screen.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Jacob said, get a guest for Monday. I did swung
- 0:36for the fences. We got the man.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Former Ohio State National Champla Bardi winner, fifth overall pick
- 0:44two thousand and six with Green Bay, all time leading
- 0:47tackler for the Packers. This man is a damn fine father, gentleman,
- 0:52lover of shoes, amateur DJ an, amazing American male AJ Hawk.
- 0:58Ladies and gentlemen, how are we doing?
- 1:01Speaker 4: What's up? Guys? Hey? How's his day one together? Right?
- 1:05As a new official show?
- 1:06Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:07Speaker 6: Day number one AJ He made it on time. That
- 1:09was the big concern. Look, you've known Flynn for as
- 1:12long as I have. Mornings are not his thing. He's
- 1:15like the only quarterback I've ever known that really struggles
- 1:19to get out of bed. You know, first one in
- 1:20the buildings. Not typically the thing we used to say
- 1:23about Matt the four pm not dude, the four pm
- 1:27running group was the one that you and I both
- 1:29went to.
- 1:29Speaker 5: So, AJ, we're just glad that he woke up this morning.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Well, I think we're all glad that that he wakes
- 1:35up every single morning, hopefully continues to wake up to
- 1:37it every days. Yeah, continue to perform at a high level.
- 1:43So Flinn I said, maybe this is it is gonna
- 1:45be your thing. It's gonna flip you around when you're
- 1:47gonna become like a big time morning person, have like
- 1:49one of those biggest teams that you talk about and
- 1:51document for us.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I've had to rewire myself just a little bit.
- 1:58Jacob's making me like do some life reads. I came
- 2:01back from break right there, so I'm kind of learning,
- 2:02like the lingo, starting to learn, just throwing me in
- 2:05cold turkey right now.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So it's it's a learning have you been.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Doing You've been doing this with me like for seven years.
- 2:10You just weren't like the host, like you came in
- 2:12once a week and so you kind of knew what
- 2:14you were getting into.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but I just came here to argue with you.
- 2:16Speaker 3: So now I'm officially media guy asking questions speaking of
- 2:20a j What are you doing right?
- 2:21Speaker 2: You're driving?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Right? Yep? I'm driving right now. I'm driving over to
- 2:26Indianapolis right now for the day. But I'll it's a
- 2:29quick day trip there and back.
- 2:30Speaker 3: All right, all right, you got So let's let's talk
- 2:33about what what you know your your gig right now?
- 2:35Like how you got started? So when we were playing,
- 2:39like right at the end of the crew, I know
- 2:40you had your your podcast, and like when you told
- 2:43me about it, I was like, what the hell's a podcast?
- 2:45Just do like radio? Like you you like, I don't
- 2:49see you doing media? Like what are you doing everyday?
- 2:51Because you were getting all these crazy guests? So like
- 2:54it was the hot cast?
- 2:55Speaker 4: Right, yep? That's right? Is that?
- 2:57Speaker 2: How is that how everything got started?
- 2:58Speaker 3: Did you always know you wanted to do some sort
- 3:00of media after playing?
- 3:03Speaker 4: Now? I didn't. I mean especially early on, like, man,
- 3:06my first four or five years in the league. Now,
- 3:08I had no desire to ever get in the media.
- 3:10I didn't even understand like why people did it, why
- 3:12former players would do it. But then I started to
- 3:16maybe get a little older, start thinking like, I got
- 3:18to figure out, I gotta do something whenever I'm done playing.
- 3:21I don't know, I could trip and follow on the
- 3:22stairs and my career could be over today. I always
- 3:24knew that was in the back of my mind, so
- 3:27I started thinking about it and doing just a little things,
- 3:29saying yes here and there, the different like opportunities. And
- 3:33then I was just a fan of listening to other
- 3:35people's podcasts, so I eventually kind of started my own thing.
- 3:39I don't know, I don't think a whole lot of
- 3:40people ever watched or listened to it, but it actually
- 3:42gave me, I guess looking back, I got reps of
- 3:45kind of hanging out and talking to people, and it
- 3:47is a little different when you're the guy like running
- 3:49the thing, when you're bringing it back from break, when
- 3:51you're intro at things like it's definitely outside of my
- 3:55comfort zone one percent. That was never what I ever envisioned.
- 3:58And I still see like teachers I had in high
- 4:02school in elementary school. Every once in a while I run
- 4:03into them and they're like, man, they're like age, I
- 4:05see you on TV. Sometimes I see them hear you
- 4:08on the radio talking and I didn't hear you speak
- 4:10for your first fifteen years of your life when I
- 4:12was teaching you, and so like, yeah, I guess sometimes
- 4:15you got to do things that are outside of what
- 4:17you normally would but it's it's fun though. I mean
- 4:20you and Hestrop, you guys have a great report. That's
- 4:22why you guys are gonna have like a classic Mic
- 4:24and Mike run most likely. I can't like to listen.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Uh like AJ, was there one guest that you had,
- 4:32like on that initial podcast where it's like, man, this
- 4:35is fun.
- 4:35Speaker 5: I like stories like this, like I want to do this.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Was there like a moment where you had a guest
- 4:40on and that guest just kind of sparks something and
- 4:43You're like, Okay, this is the kind of story because
- 4:46I'm a former player, I'm a player, current player, whatever
- 4:48it might be that I can get this kind of
- 4:49story out and kind of share with everyone.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Man, yeah, that's a good question. I had like people
- 4:54from all over just because I'm I'm kind of random
- 4:56in my interest in what I enjoy and you know,
- 4:58things that I watch it and bring you. But one guest
- 5:02that really was pumped was I had Robb O'Neill. He
- 5:04was the guy that shot didn Lod. Yeah, I had
- 5:06him come on and tell the story early on, like
- 5:08kind of I don't know how many months after he
- 5:11went public with the whole situation, but having him on
- 5:14and listen to him talk about it, that whole meal
- 5:17ord deal was really cool. But yeah, he gave me
- 5:19a reason. Like when you have something like that, I
- 5:21al podcast, however, it gives you a reason to reach
- 5:23out to people that you think are pretty awesome that
- 5:25you want to talk to him, that you can just
- 5:28if you didn't have a podcast or a show, you
- 5:29couldn't say, hey, Bud, I'd love to just talk to
- 5:33face time sometime, like that'd be cool to face time
- 5:35Like that would creep him out and they would never
- 5:37say yeah. So it kind of opened up the door.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So you created your podcast just so you could like
- 5:41creep people out, just hang.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Out, hang out with the boys a fellows.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it grew into yeah absolutely basically.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And then and then so after that, you you called
- 5:52some games, right, so you got into a little bit
- 5:54of broadcasting being a color guy.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I was. I didn't want to copper to
- 5:59his say games works some as a color analyst for
- 6:04different games where Graham Harrold was the offensive coordinator at
- 6:07North Texas for a few years. Was amazing teammate of
- 6:11ours that I you know, just an absolute classics football character. Yeah.
- 6:16I love doing I actually really enjoyed working games and
- 6:18doing doing color commentary and and then eventually met uh
- 6:24Pat McAfee and been joining and joining him and the
- 6:27boys for the last four or five years now from
- 6:30my attic at my house in Columbus, Ohio. So it
- 6:32kind of worked out perfectly.
- 6:33Speaker 2: And you still do it from the attic, right oh.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Nice little nice little room up up top that I finished.
- 6:41It was like it was an attic and we just
- 6:42put some drywall up and a carpet and put some
- 6:44carpet down, and there we go. Five years later.
- 6:47Speaker 6: You know, ah's not even something I've really ever put together.
- 6:51Like you and Paton, maybe how that happened, because now
- 6:54that I'm thinking about it, you say that, I'm like, oh, wait,
- 6:56he played for the Colts his whole career.
- 6:58Speaker 5: He's a West Virginia guy.
- 6:59Speaker 6: You're in a a Buck guy, and obviously you spent
- 7:01most of your career with the Packers.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Like, how did that happen. How did that come together?
- 7:06Speaker 4: Man? It was weird. I never really met him. First
- 7:09time I met him in person, I was playing for
- 7:10the Bengals. Yeah, during my tenth season, a preseason game,
- 7:13and we went out for like a pregame coin toss
- 7:15and just said hey basically, and I knew of him,
- 7:19I didn't know him personally, And then I asked him
- 7:22to come on my show, the podcast I had. He eventually,
- 7:25you know, going back to what was talking about earlier, Yeah, yeah,
- 7:28he eventually I was able to get him on, and he,
- 7:31you know, had all these plans at the time. I
- 7:33didn't know about it too, you know, he was he's
- 7:36been thinking about what he is doing now for a
- 7:39long long time, kind of putting in the putting in
- 7:41the work. And then I used to join him on
- 7:43his show that he had. He's had different versions of
- 7:45his show all over the place, and early on I
- 7:47used to join him every I don't know, every three
- 7:50or four weeks, every once in a while, and then
- 7:52once COVID hit, we just decided, Okay, let's do something
- 7:55more consistently, and yeah, I started joining him on his
- 7:58radio show that was always on you Tube, like three
- 8:01days a week and then banned like a year. Two
- 8:03later I started joining them five days a week, and
- 8:05now I get to run around and do all kind
- 8:06of kind of cool things and work for college football
- 8:10playoffs with him, and and go around and go to
- 8:12you know, just awesome bizarre events and sometimes get the
- 8:15broadcast at him. So yeah, so it's definitely was not
- 8:18I didn't I didn't see it coming and happened very organically.
- 8:21But man, I'm I'm excited. I love it. I want
- 8:23to do it forever.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And so that that's what you're you're I'm assuming you
- 8:26were driving to indeed to I guess your hosting today?
- 8:29Speaker 4: Yeah, Monday, Pat has he does you know, he's he's
- 8:33all over the place. He's the you know, color analyst
- 8:36for Monday Night Rawle and WWE, and so he is,
- 8:39he does this thing there and so a lot of
- 8:41times Monday I'll go a host from studio and he'll
- 8:43will join us from wherever Rowling is.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So the show Pat Macie Show, Wildly Entertaining AJ is
- 8:50on it almost every day from twelve to one Central
- 8:53Time here.
- 8:54Speaker 2: For for our views. So y'all go check it out.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I watch it every day when I'm in my office
- 8:58and laugh and a text a Jay when you know,
- 9:00he said something dumb.
- 9:01Speaker 5: I thought you were supposed to be sleeping my high
- 9:03at that time.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Well I am, I am. We're doing that too, but
- 9:06I watch it in the background.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 3: So, like you say, the you get to do like
- 9:11run around doing all sorts of crazy stuff, Like, is
- 9:13is there one thing that sticks out like this?
- 9:15Speaker 2: I know y'all did?
- 9:16Speaker 3: Was it two seasons ago y'all went, y'all kind of
- 9:18did the post like game Day Show or the Friday
- 9:21Game Show where on the game day set and you
- 9:23and you missed like every single basketball shot?
- 9:25Speaker 2: Did you ever make one?
- 9:27Speaker 4: Man? See, that's why I love you. Fun. This it's
- 9:29fun you get you're setting me up because you know
- 9:31I didn't miss every single shot. You know. You see.
- 9:35Speaker 2: That's exactly see that's one of the listeners to know.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Yeah, so it was perfect, said no, yeah, he would
- 9:40that would bring we would do a show Friday from
- 9:43the game day set that he'd be working on Saturday,
- 9:45and like all the students and fans would come. And
- 9:48luckily the first I think we were in Alabama the
- 9:50first time we did, and he had a hoop set up.
- 9:52It's a pretty tough shot, and he would have me
- 9:54shoot from the stage out to the crowd. And I think,
- 9:57I mean I might have might have been my second
- 9:58or third shot of Pat was offering tuition to whoever
- 10:01for a kid, a kid if if I made it,
- 10:04and I made the second or third shot, and I've
- 10:06met a couple of them, I think I may have
- 10:07made my first attempt, but I've made more shots than
- 10:10I I thought. I would tell you the truth, I haven't.
- 10:13We haven't done it in a while, but I'm just man.
- 10:15It does stuck though, when you're starting, when there's like
- 10:18tuition on the line or money line for these kids,
- 10:22you feel pretty bad when you missed four or five.
- 10:24Speaker 2: In a row, Like I'm the ones you've met. Who
- 10:26knows what happened to those kids?
- 10:30Speaker 6: They had to go to community college for the rest
- 10:32of career, turning tricks to make.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Maybe also though things when then maybe they drop out
- 10:37may and bench something really cool that they were never done.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's what you never know.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Huh.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Glenn definitely co signs on that being in general studies major.
- 10:47Catching up with a J Hawk here on O T
- 10:50B A J I like I've got this sort of
- 10:53playing in my mind and we're just gonna workshop it
- 10:55here live on the radio. So obviously, like you and
- 10:58Flinn are boys, You and Bob Carpenter or boys. Me
- 11:01and Bob are boys, and me and Flynn are boys.
- 11:04Like we got to come up with something. And you
- 11:06know me, I'm a self described meathead and that's a
- 11:08term of endearment when it comes from me. Like we've
- 11:12got three meatheads between me, you and Bobby, and Flynn
- 11:15is as close to a meathead as any quarterbacks going
- 11:17to be right. I mean he enjoys, enjoys a cold
- 11:20pop or two, he wakes up late, He's kind of
- 11:23got that mentality, he's got fat ankles. I mean he
- 11:25is kind of a meathead as well. We got to
- 11:27come up with like a quad box of being meathead somehow,
- 11:30some way, and I.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Mean I'm all for that. You're right. And just speaking
- 11:35of Bobby, I saw Bobby yesterday. We were at the
- 11:38same lacrosse tournament for our kids. We had like eight
- 11:41games throughout between all of our kids. I was out
- 11:43there getting stun burned. Hey, Flinner, I was no joke
- 11:46that we brought plenty of mine high born in the
- 11:47kids there in between in between games. So that was
- 11:50a huge for us. But you're right, Bobby, and especially
- 11:53if I wish you guys could see Bob, like kids
- 11:56voting his hat. Bobby always has it is a giant atually.
- 12:00Actually he went so like two weeks ago, I see
- 12:03him at a tournament and my parents that showed up too,
- 12:05and Bobby is carrying this huge like backpack Yetty with
- 12:09the tag still on it. But he's like, oh, dude,
- 12:11which tool was it? Joe brows Surety Golf of yesterday
- 12:14and go through Sweet Book, Doug JUDEO. Guy, He's still
- 12:17have the tags on it, and he's always gonna, always
- 12:19gonna wear the free Murder and he had plenty of
- 12:24plenty of booze cocktails packed into that thing for the
- 12:27full day of games that we were at. But yeah,
- 12:29he's Bobby will sit there. Bobby's not scared ever. So yeah,
- 12:32I'm I think that's a great idea.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It's nothing like carrying the backpack of booze to to
- 12:36youth sport.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Me.
- 12:37Speaker 6: Look, you're not there yet, Flynn. You'll be there, and
- 12:40I'm not judging. And I know Bob, I know Bob
- 12:43is there. Oh my gosh. Does Bobby do push ups
- 12:45before he goes to an event like that? So the
- 12:47arms are popping though.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Always well, So he showed up yesterday. He's lucky for him,
- 12:51the sun's out so he can wear his cutoff and
- 12:53not feel weird. Sometimes he'll wear when it's thirty trees.
- 12:56But I was sitting there talking to Bobby before one
- 12:58of my kids' games, sitting there and talking, and all
- 13:01of a sudden, Bobby just took off in a weird
- 13:03like not a sprint, but like a pretty good gate,
- 13:07and he ran across all the fields and he's so giant.
- 13:11Everyone's looking at him, and I'm like, I yelled, like,
- 13:13what do you do political Pete in the woods when
- 13:17there were Sporter partties and stuff, you know, ten feet
- 13:19from us.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Bobby's really good.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I mean.
- 13:25Speaker 3: So I'm at AJ's a couple of years ago, your
- 13:28birthday party, I believe. And at this party, I look
- 13:32around and they got this little circle coming. So you know,
- 13:35Ohio State known for like a really good string of
- 13:38like white meat headline backer, yah for sure, and they're
- 13:40all there, just huddled up.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Lars was there. Oh, it was unbelievable, and I was like,
- 13:49I just I just took it in.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah, like this is incredible, Like I've never seen a
- 13:53group of big mead heads and such a tightle I
- 13:57mean a J.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Houston like Rapes maybe like.
- 13:59Speaker 2: The founder of that.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Oh boy. Yeah. Like so Rabel used to come back
- 14:04and run with us when he was playing for the
- 14:07Pages and we were in college. He'd come beat us
- 14:09if we'd run half gazers and Brave would come in.
- 14:11He's an absolute savage and he would dominate everybody in
- 14:15the half gassers to talk trash to the whole team
- 14:16as he was doing it, like in our six m
- 14:18run group. So yeah, I'd say Rabel was definitely a
- 14:21big part of that. And then Bobby and Schlegel and
- 14:25I would try to carry that on and hopefully passed
- 14:27down the tradition.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Well you certainly did.
- 14:29Speaker 6: I mean Bobby running the Ohio State Conditioning Test on
- 14:34his fortieth birthday, Like that's like the ultimate. Like I like,
- 14:38I again, I try to be as as I possibly
- 14:41he might have done it with did he do with
- 14:43the team or did you do it by himself? I
- 14:44just remember he had radio with me that day and
- 14:47He's like, yeah, man, I just ran the condition to us.
- 14:49I turned forty and a one was like, you know,
- 14:51you see if I could still do it? Any film
- 14:52did of course?
- 14:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he felt he had like one of the
- 14:55Trainers film. He ran at the facility at a lot
- 14:58of State's facility, and he did it when the times
- 15:02we had like it's it's twenty half gas or so
- 15:04we did it back in the day. It's not fun
- 15:06like it's you like work all summer to get to
- 15:08get that way, and Bobby just decides to do it.
- 15:10I mean Bobby. Yet, like a week ago Bobby went
- 15:13and ran like super hungover, like four hours after after
- 15:17boos and hard he went and ran a mile under
- 15:20like six thirty or something because he got all drunk
- 15:22and was telling everybody how fast he could run the mile,
- 15:24And so he actually woke up and did it the
- 15:27next morning to prove it to his wife and everybody
- 15:29that he was talking to the night before.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I love it.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Hey, Jay, what's all right? I think it's probably gonna
- 15:35be the last question here. So how's the golf game?
- 15:37You got Tahoe coming up?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Right?
- 15:39Speaker 5: So this is the is it the Tahoe?
- 15:42Speaker 2: What is it invitational the celebrity golf?
- 15:45Speaker 4: Yeah, the American Century Championship calling out there in Lake Tahoe. Yeah,
- 15:49I played for like fifteen years. My game, you know
- 15:54they sometimes people say their game is rounding in the
- 15:56form pluinner. That's how kind of pros to speak about.
- 16:00You know, I think I might be on that pass.
- 16:01I think I'm going to be rounded into for him.
- 16:03I haven't really played, but I can't wait to get out.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Well, you live right by the UH where the Memorial
- 16:08that UH is Memorial Tournament. Like, I know you've been
- 16:11a big time member there for a while.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, Well I'm not so much a member, but
- 16:15my brother in la Albrady Clinton members. So if I
- 16:17need to play for some reason, I moved on to
- 16:19his account. I just find his account number and let
- 16:21him know.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He goes to the big guy, who are you following
- 16:23this weekend? What's that? Who'd you follow this weekend? Yeah?
- 16:29Who'd you follow on the on the tournament this weekend?
- 16:32Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't go out to the story guy's kind
- 16:34of muffled. I couldn't exactly hear. I didn't. I went
- 16:36out there Friday late when the weather cleared up just
- 16:39to place on a house on the course with Scotty
- 16:41Cheff where he bamned he did it again. It's only
- 16:43about probably five minutes from my house where Scott is
- 16:45just absolutely dominating. So Scotty sound like a tiger type run.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Isn't it?
- 16:50Speaker 4: That is real?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:52Speaker 5: I know it for sure? Is I mean when you
- 16:54see him coming, you're like, yeah, you're just.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Get people from Texas. People from Texas a buil different.
- 17:00Speaker 6: On this one, like half of our studios from Texas.
- 17:05You just got a big cheer here, Ajae, Oh exactly right.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Nice, nice, I love it. Ronnie Coleman, Texas, Texas finest.
- 17:11I love Ronnie Coleman. Has nothing to do with what
- 17:14we're talking about. Think of that. My kids, My kids
- 17:17always yelled leg weight like Ronnie cole.
- 17:21Speaker 2: All right, a JA, we appreciate it.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I appreciate you introducing yourself a little bit to this
- 17:26South Louisiana fan base over here.
- 17:28Speaker 2: So man, we appreciate the time, appreciate you coming on.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I know it's a you got a long day of
- 17:33talking into the camera, so we appreciate you taking some time, dude.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Have it.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Safe travels and hopefully we can get that quad box
- 17:39of meatheads going here pretty soon with all four of us,
- 17:41so I appreciate it.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Wait, thanks, though I appreciate it. Good luck with everything.
- 17:45I can't wait to hear and watch everything you guys
- 17:48are doing, so you'll be tuned in every morning. Ye yes, sir.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Man AJ Hawk good enough to join us here on OTV.
- 17:57Speaker 6: That the quad box meathead thing is real, Like I'm
- 18:00trying to get that done because it is.
- 18:02Speaker 5: It is funny the fact that Bobby and I are
- 18:04really good friends.
- 18:05Speaker 6: You and AJ are really good friends, and then they're
- 18:06really good friends, and I put up with you sometimes
- 18:08as well, Like it just makes too much sense not
- 18:11to have that. You know, Friday's maybe nine am Central time, AJ,
- 18:16If you're still listening, I'm sure he is rude the
- 18:20bluetooth definitely. Did you not hear that feedback when he
- 18:25first got turned his volume down?
- 18:28Speaker 5: Right?
- 18:28Speaker 6: God, I should miss that. You call into a radio
- 18:30show that like in the nineties, like in the Hey Bud,
- 18:33can you turn the radio down because you want to
- 18:35hear yourself? You know, AJ is the absolute man, Like
- 18:38what a what a mine?
- 18:39Speaker 2: That guy has?
- 18:40Speaker 3: He's he's he was absolutely right in his old podcast.
- 18:43He's he has so many crazy interests. I remember the
- 18:45guests he used to have on that.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I was like, what do you do?
- 18:47Speaker 7: Like?
- 18:47Speaker 4: Who?
- 18:47Speaker 3: What even intrigued you to reach out to this person?
- 18:50So he's awesome. He's awesome on the Pat mcavia McAfee show.
- 18:53Check him out today. Every day he's on there. So
- 18:55he'll be hosting today, so I'll go watch him.
- 18:58Speaker 5: All right, we will step away.
- 19:01Speaker 6: We've got Chipper Jones still set to join us at
- 19:03nine Central time. We've got Hold the Mayo at nine fifteen,
- 19:08so we've got a lot to get to. We got
- 19:09weekend winners coming up in about eleven minutes from now.
- 19:12But certainly when we come back, we'll kind of dive
- 19:15back into some LSU baseball and we'll do it right
- 19:18here on OTV top the bench, all right, go to
- 19:22Central Plumbing dot org. Central Plumbing dot Org is the website.
- 19:26Twenty four seven three sixty five. Weekend Holiday game day
- 19:30right tonight kind of fits into most of those categories.
- 19:33The first pitch is until eight, so if you've got
- 19:35an issue going on, it's late at night. It's ten thirty.
- 19:38Hopefully they're not still in the third inning like they
- 19:40were last night. But you have an issue, you have
- 19:43an emergency. Two two five nine, two five eighty five
- 19:47fifty two is always going to be that number. Go
- 19:50to the website to check out what they can do
- 19:51for you in the remodel game. See what they can
- 19:53do for you as far as the tankless water heater.
- 19:56Never run out of hot water. You get home late,
- 19:58you got a shower, You got to do the laundry,
- 20:00you gotta do the dishes. You have no fear when
- 20:03you go tankless, and you can do that with central plumbing.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Oh, like I said, I told you last week, I
- 20:07have I can personally vouch for these guys. I called
- 20:10them when I first start our factory. They have been
- 20:13a part of us. They've helped us in so many ways.
- 20:15Twenty four to seven Emergency Services two two five nine
- 20:18eight five five to two.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football twenty four to seven. You're
- 20:22listening to off the bench.
- 20:25Speaker 5: You want to banger, except when they're about talk LSU baseball.
- 20:31Speaker 2: But you're to do here.
- 20:32Speaker 5: I mean, look, we're always eye hustling football for sure.
- 20:35For sure, actually.
- 20:38Speaker 6: Efforting to get a couple of players on this week
- 20:41from the current team so we'll update you when that happens.
- 20:45Speaker 5: But let's get back to LSU baseball be here, they
- 20:48gonna be here.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Oh, Ron will be there. Oh it's the pancake. Aha,
- 20:54we do it every mind. So Hunt just came in
- 20:58and anytime Hunt walks in. Uh, we talked baseball. So
- 21:03who do we think we can go around the room
- 21:05Flynn Google, who do we think is going to start
- 21:08tonight for LSU?
- 21:10Speaker 5: We talked about it. You have Evans, you have where
- 21:13you have.
- 21:14Speaker 6: You still have good options, Like I don't think there's
- 21:16a team that's playing today that has the options that
- 21:20you have that's across the country as far as the
- 21:22arms that you have available because you didn't have to
- 21:25use them in the first two games. And then, like
- 21:27Alandra said, it did feel like you got to a
- 21:29point last night where like, hey, we got to think
- 21:30about tomorrow and we're not conceding right now, but tomorrow
- 21:34looks like it could happen.
- 21:35Speaker 5: And it did you know it's going to be here?
- 21:37Who do we think starts?
- 21:40Speaker 8: I'll let y'all go first, So I'll say this, Uh,
- 21:44if like caseon Evans is available, if I see anybody
- 21:47besides Case and Evans out there starting.
- 21:49Speaker 9: I'm going to be.
- 21:51Speaker 8: Pretty pretty irritated with that. Like if I see Connor
- 21:55ware out there to start, I might throw something.
- 21:58Speaker 5: On my TV.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I was gonna say Evans too, look at you, But I.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Just don't know, Like I just I mean, I think
- 22:08I probably would go with him, But I do think
- 22:10where is an option and you could go where Evans
- 22:14Cowen or you could flip it or flip it where Cowen.
- 22:19Either way, I'm okay, Like I'm not going to be
- 22:21too upset now. Again, I would love for this thing
- 22:24to be caseon. Evans goes out there and gives you
- 22:27six innings and then Zach Cowan gives you three and
- 22:30we saw two pictures.
- 22:31Speaker 5: That means things, That means things went well.
- 22:34Speaker 9: That's the ideal situation.
- 22:37Speaker 6: No, I agree there, but it's not disrespectful to like
- 22:39Connor where I think like he's had moments this year,
- 22:42But I just you trust those two guys, like those
- 22:44two guys have been a weapon for you all season long,
- 22:48and you have to go for everything, like you're not
- 22:51worried about West Virginia in Super Reach, Like that's like
- 22:53you're not worried about anything right now, you're worried about
- 22:56getting to that point.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Good.
- 22:59Speaker 8: I was just gonna say that we had we didn't
- 23:02see Collen or Evans last weekend, and the last few
- 23:05times that we have seen Cowen he's been getting a
- 23:07little touched up. So I'm like, maybe a tiny bit
- 23:11like nuts outright concerned about that, but it's just something
- 23:15to look out for and watch out for.
- 23:17Speaker 10: Yeah, well, everyone's gonna say, Okay, well you've thrown all
- 23:21these guys. The only ones you haven't seen are those three.
- 23:24But Primo's pitched twice. It's been less than an inning
- 23:27both times. Maverick Rizzy's pitched twice, but again it's been
- 23:30about an inning both times. So like you've seen him
- 23:32multiple times this weekend, the pitch count's not high. Like
- 23:34I would imagine in a pinch you need a lefty.
- 23:37Premo could come in and do it, Maverick Rizzy can
- 23:39come in and do it, like you could piece this
- 23:40thing together.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Uh, I know, I don't. I hadn't validated, like, see
- 23:45if this is actually true. Matt se says.
- 23:47Speaker 6: Scoone was saying last night he would start Cowen since
- 23:50he was a Friday Ace last year.
- 23:53Speaker 5: My problem with that is he hasn't done it this year?
- 23:58Speaker 11: Yeah, why change it?
- 23:58Speaker 5: Right?
- 23:59Speaker 6: And you're putting some in a position that they haven't
- 24:01been all season long, And I get it. Look last
- 24:05year he was like he was. That's why you got him,
- 24:07like you saw him in the regional, But you haven't
- 24:11done it this year. And baseball is one of those
- 24:13sports man you get somebody out of their routine. And look,
- 24:17I know Evans wasn't a starter until Tennessee, but like
- 24:19he does have that experience and now, like that's not
- 24:22going to be completely out of the norm for him.
- 24:24Speaker 5: And I know, look, Zach Cowan's got a lot of
- 24:26innings as a.
- 24:27Speaker 6: Dude, a starter, but it's been a long time and
- 24:30I feel like his role, he's thrived in the role
- 24:32of coming into the game and shutting the game down.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Yeah, And I kind of look at this as like
- 24:37I look at everything silver lining. Right, what's the long
- 24:40play here for LSU baseball? The goal is not to
- 24:42win a regional. It goals to win the College World Series, Right,
- 24:46So I always look at things blessings in disguise.
- 24:49Speaker 2: You're gonna have to.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Answer these questions at some point if you're going to
- 24:54win the National Championship. This helps you answer a lot
- 24:58of those questions. You were gonna face the same situation
- 25:01if you keep going and going and going. So it's
- 25:03good that you facing it now against Little You get
- 25:06a lot of these questions answered. You get guys like
- 25:08real pressure situations obviously. I mean, you hate that baseball
- 25:14such a can be such a not a fluky game.
- 25:17But it's just a streaky game. I mean, this is
- 25:19it's incredible. So I mean at the end of the day,
- 25:24bats have to get hot.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Yeah, And if you listen to us back when we
- 25:29were hanging with Hester, the one key to victory.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Is dingers.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Hit the ball over the fence, yeah a lot. Yeah,
- 25:40because we used This is one of those games like that.
- 25:42This is their fourth game, this is Little Rocks fifth game. Yeah,
- 25:48they got a lot of tired arms that you have.
- 25:51If you have to win at fifteen to fourteen, you
- 25:53do it. Yeah, doesn't matter. Get the bats hot, focus,
- 25:57hit it hard, like look, that's that's the meat aad
- 26:01football player. And it's like, so what if our pitching
- 26:05isn't the greatest tonight.
- 26:07Speaker 6: Right, you have your normal situations, the is the bats. Yeah,
- 26:11So if you don't know what he's talking about. When
- 26:13we did Hang with Hessel, that was a six to
- 26:15eight show, and so games would start obviously while we
- 26:18were on air. We'd have them here on in studio
- 26:21and there would be danger alerts, not dinger danger alerts,
- 26:25and we played a whole sound like if they hit one,
- 26:28we had a siren sound that we would play.
- 26:30Speaker 2: We would interview.
- 26:30Speaker 3: It doesn't matter for your middle of an interview, in
- 26:32the middle of the if there was a home run
- 26:34hit on that television.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So hopefully tonight, hopefully we get some morning baseball games.
- 26:42Speaker 5: I don't I don't. I don't think we're gonna get many. Mean,
- 26:47like we can put like yeah baseball like South Korea and.
- 26:54Speaker 9: The Dodgers were playing into.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Yeah, ol danger I mere degenerate without telling me, I
- 27:02will say that.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Like.
- 27:02Speaker 8: The one thing that kind of bothered me is when
- 27:05we had the bases loaded. I think it was the
- 27:08first time we had the bases loaded in the third
- 27:11and then Ethan Fry came up and he's out there
- 27:13trying to swing out his shoes.
- 27:15Speaker 12: But you have the bases loaded, just put the ball
- 27:17in play, you know, like you don't have to.
- 27:21Speaker 8: Yeah, point no you I think that was the third
- 27:23outside think you had two outs, but like that even
- 27:27more to my point though, like don't go out there
- 27:28trying to swing out your shoes, Like you don't need
- 27:31a grand Slam in the third inning to walk the
- 27:34game off.
- 27:35Speaker 9: You still have time. Just put the ball in play
- 27:37and get somebody in. You know, it would be so sick.
- 27:40Speaker 3: That's just not like you don't try to hit a
- 27:43home run like you're trying to throw it, trying to
- 27:45throw a fifty yard touchdown.
- 27:46Speaker 2: You can't try to do. It just comes to you.
- 27:50Speaker 11: Attle bit Fried Jones, those dudes, come on, don't do that.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Yeah, you had some step up last night.
- 27:55Speaker 6: And I'll be curious to see if we have any
- 27:57lineup changes Chassic something.
- 28:00Speaker 11: Maybe maybe like Mila moving up or something like that.
- 28:03Speaker 9: Bear down a little bit back really well.
- 28:09Speaker 11: On the weekend.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Her Natives was what I know at one point Yeah
- 28:12he was.
- 28:13Speaker 6: He was three for four, three for three, Yeah, and
- 28:15I know lasted batty, but I mean, like that's somebody
- 28:17that's swinging it well right now. So again, when you
- 28:20say you gotta win or you got to get up
- 28:23out of here, like you gotta do whatever it takes
- 28:25to win, and like if it's you know, changing the
- 28:28lineup a little bit again, Like I'm not into doing
- 28:30things you haven't done all season long. Jay has messed
- 28:33with the lineup, Like that's that's part of baseball. We're
- 28:36not talking about starting a guy that hasn't started this year.
- 28:38We're talking about, hey, you move a guy two spots here,
- 28:40and move a got two spots up, whatever it might be.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Because there's some right now and that are just seeing
- 28:45it better.
- 28:46Speaker 9: You know that that little rock coach is giving them
- 28:48like the motivational speech.
- 28:49Speaker 8: In the lifetime right now, they're like nobody thought that
- 28:52you could do that. Like we've gotten this far, we
- 28:54got nothing to lose. We're playing with house money. Go
- 28:57out there and play your ass off like they're going
- 29:00to put on a put a burger up. Yeah, person,
- 29:03and I need Jay to like go in the locker
- 29:05room and give like an aug gurrito kind of rent.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Yeah fire, have you ever seen that? Rant?
- 29:12Speaker 13: I think actually, I think I think everything rebaly Yeah
- 29:15I seen that, Yeah, without question, So all right, get
- 29:18after it again, Like we'll come back throughout the show
- 29:21and we'll talk a little LSU baseball certainly going to
- 29:23close the show talking L s U Baseball, what we
- 29:25expect to see tonight inside of the box, and we
- 29:28do have Chipper Jones still start to join us in
- 29:30thirty minutes.
- 29:31Speaker 6: We got Devin Snow in about forty five minutes. But
- 29:33when we come back, we've got weekend winners.
- 29:36Speaker 7: Here on O T B off the bench.
- 29:42Speaker 6: All right, go to pelicanroof dot com. Pelican roof dot
- 29:44com is the website. When you go to pelicanroof dot com.
- 29:48Man an incredible tool that they have, and it's going
- 29:50to pop up on the right side. If you want
- 29:52to get a quote, Like you want to get an
- 29:54idea of what your roof replacement is going to be,
- 29:57all you gotta do is type in your ad like
- 30:00where you live. It's going to take an outline of
- 30:02your roof and give you a pretty good idea of
- 30:05what it is going to be. And once you get
- 30:07that idea, then obviously you give them a call. You
- 30:10have a conversation, here's what I need, Here's what I'm
- 30:12looking for. But man, it is such a great tool,
- 30:15that instant roof quote, because then you know what you're
- 30:18dealing with, Like you know what you are going to
- 30:21need when it comes to replacing your roof. Just another
- 30:23great asset. Look, you go to the website again. Pelicanroof
- 30:26dot com. Five star reviews all over the place. Pelicanroof
- 30:29dot com.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Yeah, roof repairs, roof placements. There's no place on earth
- 30:34that needs a good roofing company at your back than
- 30:37South here in South Louisiana.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Call them two to five two eight sixty five.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The locker Room to the Airwaves gets off the bench
- 30:43with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 30:46Speaker 6: Now all right, welcome back in it is OTB one
- 30:53O four five ESPN back should you hack my Napster account?
- 30:57Speaker 9: I did not. I think naps are still a thing
- 31:02or it's coming back or something like.
- 31:05Speaker 5: It's going to be like Spotify or whatever.
- 31:07Speaker 6: Well, I mean everybody out there knows that the Landra
- 31:11and I are team Apple Music.
- 31:13Speaker 9: Yeah, we're Apple Music. What do you use?
- 31:15Speaker 2: So I'm actually thinking about fre switching. I'm a free
- 31:18agent right now. So I'm with Spotify. Still got the account.
- 31:20Speaker 3: So my kids are getting to the age where they
- 31:23want to have their own like playlists and listen, and
- 31:25I have a family account with Spotify right The interface
- 31:28is so confusing, Like we can't figure out how to
- 31:30like get different accounts, like switch on Netflix, you can
- 31:34easily go to you.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Know, mom, dad and the kids.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah you can eat.
- 31:38Speaker 3: You can't do that on Spotify, you have faith. Each
- 31:40of the kids have to have their own email. Like
- 31:41it's just the whole mess. So Apple Music, what you
- 31:45got for me?
- 31:46Speaker 2: I like absolutely a lot.
- 31:48Speaker 5: You know, a lot of the people that try to
- 31:50act young make fun of a Landra and I. But
- 31:52it's easy, super easy.
- 31:54Speaker 9: Super easy.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Like what about switching from a great interface, but like
- 31:58family accounts.
- 31:59Speaker 5: Yeah, like my son Hudson has his own and I
- 32:02never see his, so I guess it's.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Going well if my kids, If my kids are listening
- 32:06to something and I'm in my car by myself, I
- 32:09can't listen to something without turning theirs off.
- 32:12Speaker 5: Yeah that's account.
- 32:15Speaker 11: But it's like one of the time.
- 32:16Speaker 3: It's like we can't figure out how to like get
- 32:19signed into the other count easily.
- 32:20Speaker 6: The Apple part, it's just like the first time that
- 32:23that happens. You hit that you want to add a
- 32:26family account, just hit the button and then you can
- 32:28listen and.
- 32:29Speaker 3: You want to talk about starting some family fights when
- 32:31I have when my wife and I are going somewhere.
- 32:34We're taking two cars and I got like one or
- 32:35two of the kids and she's got the other. Yeah,
- 32:38like fighting over who's playing music.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:41Speaker 6: I used to know because I'd be on the road
- 32:42down and I'd be you know, I have my ox
- 32:45Core plugged in listening to music, and then I would
- 32:47get the message Katie and the kids are jaimin on
- 32:49the you know, the home pod, and.
- 32:52Speaker 11: You ever like cut them off?
- 32:53Speaker 5: Just like heay back you met my wife?
- 32:57Speaker 4: Right?
- 32:59Speaker 2: No, anyway, Spotify just fix it. It's easy.
- 33:03Speaker 3: The technology is there, Yeah, every other Disney app, Netflix
- 33:11you Yeah, lock it up.
- 33:16Speaker 5: We do not. All right, let's get to some weekend winners.
- 33:21Speaker 2: That's how win it has done.
- 33:23Speaker 4: That's right.
- 33:24Speaker 11: We can't have anyone to freak out out there.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Okay, he's got a k bark and Poloser got too far.
- 33:31I'm by winning. I went here and I win there.
- 33:34Speaker 5: No one, are you doing what it takes to win
- 33:37a championship?
- 33:39Speaker 4: Wow?
- 33:39Speaker 2: Winning? Well, then I guess there's only one thing left
- 33:42to do.
- 33:45Speaker 11: What's that.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Win the whole thing?
- 33:51Speaker 6: All right, I'm gonna start off here with a weekend loser.
- 33:55It is the Colorado Rockies. Yeah, I'll be honest with you.
- 34:00I've been bitter with the Colorado Rockies for a long time. Yeah,
- 34:02since two thousand and seven. Why you ask, Because they
- 34:07made a run and made it to the World Series
- 34:09in October of that year, and because they had never
- 34:12been they got the cover of Sports Illustrated. You know
- 34:16who only got on the front page but in the
- 34:18top corner.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Your boy.
- 34:19Speaker 6: If they wouldn't have made the I would have been
- 34:22on the full cover and just a little bit of
- 34:24the cover. They're doing better, the Rockies. They don't need
- 34:26to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. It should
- 34:29have been US against Florida. So for that reason, I've
- 34:34never really liked them, even when I played and started,
- 34:37even when I played there, I would go wear my
- 34:39braves hat to the games. I'm not wearing that. So
- 34:42I was already mad at you. And so in another series,
- 34:45another suite for the Rockies, they continue to make history
- 34:48for all the wrong reasons. They fell five to three
- 34:52to the Mets, so they've lost eight games in a row.
- 34:56It is their fourth eight game losing streak this season.
- 35:00The Rockies are now nine and fifty, the worst record
- 35:03through fifty nine games of any Major League team in
- 35:06the modern era since nineteen oh one.
- 35:08Speaker 5: They have been swept ten times in twenty series. M
- 35:13you suck.
- 35:14Speaker 2: You gotta get trash.
- 35:15Speaker 9: Yeah, that is real bad.
- 35:16Speaker 8: You've got to be like real trash to be the
- 35:20worst start in MLB history. I mean, you had a
- 35:22really bad Detroit Tigers team in the two thousands. You
- 35:25had a really really bad, putting up historic numbers White
- 35:28Sox team last year.
- 35:30Speaker 11: So that is back, he's a loser.
- 35:34Speaker 10: Yeah, the White Sox can't have anything there. They can't
- 35:36even be historically bad. The Rockies are like, ah, we
- 35:39got we got you.
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna piggyback on Jake's loser because that was like
- 35:42my one loser. I had a bunch of winners. My
- 35:44one loser was the Rockies for this one stat since
- 35:48today's June second, Since May second, they have as many
- 35:53victories as Scottie Scheffler does on the PGA.
- 35:57Speaker 5: That's so bad.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Four tournaments played for Scotti, wenty eight games played for
- 36:01the Rockies. They both won three times. So Rockies, you
- 36:07track historic geez, you messing up boy. Jake to on
- 36:12Sports Illustrated cover Double Doubt Rock while the Rockies get
- 36:18to cover the World Series. We beat the Florida Gators.
- 36:22Speaker 11: By the way, does anybody remember what what happened in
- 36:25that World Series?
- 36:26Speaker 6: I do.
- 36:26Speaker 11: They swept, They got swept, Yeah, I do.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Because the trash trash.
- 36:30Speaker 6: Me not good, got two star bow legged running backs
- 36:33trying to get on the front of sports, and.
- 36:36Speaker 9: They robbed you.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Rob was robbed.
- 36:39Speaker 9: We was man. I will never forgive the Rockies for that.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Ever.
- 36:43Speaker 9: The O TV crew has an official b with the Rockies.
- 36:50Speaker 5: Yeah, forever.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Just to take batting practice one time when I was
- 36:53with the Broncos taking practice in your little trash fieldt
- 36:57your balls out of the freezer because they traveled too far.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Yeahs, all right, sorry, all right.
- 37:04Speaker 9: I got a weekend loser.
- 37:06Speaker 8: If you remember a couple of weeks ago, I had
- 37:08this same weekend loser when Jim Schlossnagel said, hey, it's
- 37:13it's much It's much harder to win the SEC in
- 37:16the regular season than it is to win a national championship,
- 37:19And I said, Okay, that's cool. He's getting out in
- 37:21front of not winning the Natty. Turns out that's not
- 37:24gonna happen get knocked out of their own regional by
- 37:27UTSA lost to them on Saturday seven to nine, and
- 37:32lost to them again last night four to seven, and
- 37:34they also lost to them earlier in the season.
- 37:36Speaker 9: So ut s A is UT's kryptonite.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Deep.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that has to be part of your losers.
- 37:45Speaker 9: That is part of the loser because how you gotta say, gigam.
- 37:50Speaker 5: Season is the end of the season.
- 37:54Speaker 12: You hold what you hoed the Aggies last season.
- 37:57Speaker 8: Yea, I appreciate took him to Natty Austin because you
- 38:00were on tech like Texas was on your mind already.
- 38:04Speaker 9: You were super rude to that reporter, denying the facts
- 38:08that were the facts.
- 38:09Speaker 8: And then you come around and you're the number one
- 38:12team in the country for a long time, got way
- 38:14too hot, way too early in this season, and just
- 38:17fall off at the end and get kicked out your
- 38:19own regional.
- 38:20Speaker 9: And it couldn't have happened to a better person.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Yep, you'd love to see it.
- 38:27Speaker 11: We're gonna start with the weekend losers.
- 38:29Speaker 10: First off, We'll start with the crappy States of Mississippi
- 38:32and Oregon, our sixteen team parlay crash. Yep, because Oregon
- 38:37and Oregon State, yep Ole, Miss and Southern Miss all lost.
- 38:41Speaker 11: You guys are all bombs that hit two years in
- 38:43a row.
- 38:44Speaker 2: It was destined to hit.
- 38:45Speaker 10: Even Dandy made a late comeback to when there. They
- 38:48didn't even get out of their regional. So Oregon, Mississippi,
- 38:51you guys suck that. It's my first weekend loser.
- 38:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Yeah, and I thought it was gonna hit. I was
- 38:56so confident.
- 39:00Speaker 11: They made the run up. Okay, I'm good that was
- 39:01the one.
- 39:02Speaker 5: Yeah, sure it did not.
- 39:04Speaker 6: I'm gonna kind of keep the same theme as both
- 39:07of y'all because that's kind of where I was going
- 39:09to go. Like if you were a big favorite in
- 39:11this NCAA baseball tournament, like you got to be a
- 39:14weekend loser.
- 39:14Speaker 5: And look, this isn't glass houses.
- 39:16Speaker 6: LSU could be added to this if they don't win tonight,
- 39:19but the top two seeds going down like they did
- 39:22Vanderbilt in Texas.
- 39:23Speaker 5: But it, I mean it wasn't just that.
- 39:25Speaker 6: I mean you had a lot of teams that were
- 39:27hosting that just did not show up and look for
- 39:31l O. Shue, like they lost their first game and
- 39:33so they get a chance tonight, like Little Rock had
- 39:35to go earn that and they did. But like these
- 39:38teams like out of the gate, now credit to like
- 39:40teams like Old Miss, they fall back and now they've
- 39:42got a chance.
- 39:42Speaker 5: But it was like the favorite strugg.
- 39:47Speaker 9: Georgia, Georgia for their own regional Georgia.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Watch that game. It was incredible.
- 39:54Speaker 11: We had all talked about how easy of a regional
- 39:55that was.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, but dude, the matchbox got them.
- 40:00Speaker 6: That park plays so small, and Oklahoma State took full advantage,
- 40:03including a walk off home run.
- 40:05Speaker 12: Well, but also who had Right State getting out the
- 40:07national right?
- 40:09Speaker 9: They literally you look back at the.
- 40:12Speaker 6: Dog because it usually like the weirdo, they can tell you,
- 40:14like a little bit about every school.
- 40:17Speaker 5: I got nothing on right let me go look because
- 40:22I know I got you got I got nothing.
- 40:24Speaker 9: We had all the odds written down.
- 40:26Speaker 2: What do you have on Little Rock with us?
- 40:28Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean Little Rock beat in the finals.
- 40:30Speaker 5: This is a pretty bad.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Proposed Little Rock before we go to break, I want
- 40:34to do I gotta do it. Give a shout out
- 40:36to this winner on the weekend. Okay, all right, LSU
- 40:39Shreveport Baseball, let's.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Go, let's go baby.
- 40:44Speaker 3: That's nine and oh Inn AI World Series title, longest
- 40:49winning streak in college baseball history.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Come on, I don't care. Come who when.
- 40:57Speaker 6: Fifty nine to zero in a collegiate unbelievable. I can't
- 41:01even I can't fathom it. I mean, baseball is like
- 41:04the ultimate. Look, our guy wasn't on today. He walked seven, right,
- 41:08they kind of they had one big hit. We couldn't
- 41:10get even going fifteen.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Team batting average three six one pretty good, teamy all right,
- 41:16two three eight pretty solid.
- 41:19Speaker 6: Fifty nine and oh is incredible. Shout out three one eight,
- 41:21three one great.
- 41:24Speaker 3: I will say it for that. Do you think they
- 41:26they're team building? Like during their training camps they go
- 41:30to the water park.
- 41:31Speaker 5: There's no doubt.
- 41:31Speaker 11: Oh yeah, let's go.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Let's go build that team chemistry.
- 41:34Speaker 6: Right on the interstay right, you know, about seven minutes
- 41:36from Texas, there's a beautiful water park.
- 41:38Speaker 2: We're all gonna smell like trash water together.
- 41:41Speaker 5: But we had fun.
- 41:42Speaker 2: We had a great time.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Those slides were banging, and fifty nine and oh, shout
- 41:46out to the pilots, let's go fifty nine.
- 41:49Speaker 8: And oh on any level, that's incredible to do it.
- 41:51It is incredible, such an up, up, down, sport.
- 41:55Speaker 2: That is, I must have a big n il budget,
- 41:58must I want to?
- 41:59Speaker 5: I went to uh some classes at l s U Shreeport.
- 42:02No big deal, A big deal.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I finished up.
- 42:06Speaker 9: You're an alum.
- 42:07Speaker 5: You finish up with?
- 42:08Speaker 2: What'd you graduate?
- 42:08Speaker 5: You making fun of my general studiesiology?
- 42:14Speaker 2: Basically general studies.
- 42:16Speaker 5: No, hey, you can't get into pet school with a
- 42:19general studies degree. You went there, That's what I was
- 42:21going to do. Had a little had a little stop
- 42:24in the NFL there.
- 42:24Speaker 2: But couldn't get in. Okay, couldn't get accepted?
- 42:27Speaker 5: Oh for sure. I had a cord when I graduated, Bud,
- 42:29did you what cord around my neck?
- 42:32Speaker 2: For my grades?
- 42:33Speaker 5: I don't even know what that means exactly because they
- 42:34didn't pass those out.
- 42:35Speaker 2: The balls graduation them.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Aw are you on that note?
- 42:41Speaker 6: We'll be back more O TV off the bench, you dork.
- 42:46Round of applause. He was Matthew Clayton. Trash Rangers dot com.
- 42:54Trash rangers dot com. Just where you can put that?
- 42:56Speaker 5: Take that? Flynn just had go to their website.
- 42:59Speaker 6: You can sign up for residential service, commercial service, roll
- 43:03off dumpsters. So if you got a project at your home,
- 43:07like T Bob used him when he was moving to Chicago, right,
- 43:09I mean he used him like three times, like, hey,
- 43:12we get we need a dumpster. They were there, We
- 43:13need dumpster, they were there, and it was great for him.
- 43:15But if you've got like a renovation going on at
- 43:17your home, if you have one at your business, they
- 43:19have three different sizes to choose from, and so you
- 43:22call them talk through what you've got going on. They're
- 43:24gonna make sure you have the right size and flind
- 43:26that number is the number here? Two two five, three

- 43:45Speaker 7: Gers turn talkers, This is off the bench, agree to you.
- 44:00Speaker 2: I only got the ac working in there.

- 44:09Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 44:09Speaker 2: I was sweating a well.
- 44:11Speaker 6: Typically it starts out a little bit cooler than that.
- 44:13But yeah, I don't know, man, I'm over here like
- 44:15it's completely different. That's why I changed seats.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Because I only got a little cool air on me.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Now, I had my nice hoodie that we got great hoodies,
- 44:23like the color short print, trying to wear that good
- 44:27short dish print, you know, sweat my ass off over here. Yeah,
- 44:31sweating lag you stole something. We're back now though, nine.
- 44:37Speaker 2: At nine.
- 44:37Speaker 6: Oh, you meant like we've got Chipper Jones that's to
- 44:41join us about five minutes from now.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Uh.
- 44:44Speaker 2: He was pretty good, right, all right, he's decent, one
- 44:46of the best ever put on a uniform for sure.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:50Speaker 6: I we'll go all over the place with with Chip. Well,
- 44:54you know, we'll make fun of him because he's a
- 44:55Florida fan for a little bit. Uh, Stetson as well.
- 44:59His dad obviously have involved with stets in the actually
- 45:01had a pretty nice little run there.
- 45:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:04Speaker 6: I mean he's a Florida fan Steeler fan. So you know,
- 45:07if I can look past that, that means we're we're friends.
- 45:10I can look past those two things, No big deal.
- 45:13I can tell Flynn's still trying to get past the
- 45:15Florida part. We'll do it when we come back. Tribor
- 45:18Jones lead off our number three off the bench, all right.
- 45:24Go to KTZ Blinds dot com. It's KZ blinds dot

- 45:42all the right things.
- 45:43Speaker 5: And Brandon Barton and the team always do all the
