- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's Variety, Big ninety eight point seven. I'm right happy
- 0:05Speaker 1: Saint Patrick's Day. Appreciate you guys cranking us up this morning.
- 0:08Speaker 2: In a weather today, it's gonna be sunny, high of
- 0:10Speaker 2: about I mean, we're working our way up forty three.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'll take it. I'll take it. Yeah, that's not too bad.
- 0:15Speaker 3: It is kind of interesting that today actually Saint Patrick's Day,
- 0:19Speaker 3: when there was a ton of celebrating and a ton
- 0:21Speaker 3: of fun and a ton of running around on Saturday.
- 0:24Speaker 3: So it's it's just kind of weird to get that
- 0:26Speaker 3: in your brain again, like, oh yeah, get my green
- 0:28Speaker 3: hat on, let's go, let's go to work this morning.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah, we had an amazing time celebrating on Saturday. And
- 0:33Speaker 2: then last night I get the notification and my kids,
- 0:37Speaker 2: of course have to wear green for school, and of course,
- 0:40Speaker 2: out of everything in my kids closets, my daughter had
- 0:44Speaker 2: nothing green, but she has that's the wall. She has,
- 0:47Speaker 2: like one like light green something. I'm like, this is perfect, honey,
- 0:50Speaker 2: this is gonna be just fine.
- 0:52Speaker 1: That's cool. At least. You can't win them all, guys,
- 0:56Speaker 1: you can't win them all.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I was getting ready for work this morning, and by
- 0:59Speaker 3: getting ready, I mean, I've woke.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Up and put on what I was gonna put on,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and then I.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Was like, oh wait, I have a green Irish hat
- 1:06Speaker 3: that I got from one of the biggest Saint Patrick's
- 1:08Speaker 3: Day festivals in the state of Iowa. So I had
- 1:11Speaker 3: to throw on the green hat today to at least
- 1:14Speaker 3: get a little Saint Patrick's Day or going on here
- 1:17Speaker 3: at big ninety eight points.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We'll shock you. I'm in all black once again. It
- 1:21Speaker 2: didn't even cross my mind. It's like I got the
- 1:23Speaker 2: kids ready last night for all their stuff, and then
- 1:25Speaker 2: I just kind of spaced it this morning, which whatever,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and pinched me.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We don't care. We celebrated on Saturday. Anyway. You might
- 1:32Speaker 1: just be Saint Patti's out.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I don't know now because I and I know I'm
- 1:36Speaker 2: going to see it all over social media. I have
- 1:39Speaker 2: to get in on some corn, beef and cabbage somewhere today.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I've got it.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Like as soon as you start seeing everybody do it
- 1:45Speaker 2: or families make it like a tradition, you just gotta well.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I hope you enjoyed that today, and I hope you
- 1:52Speaker 3: find a spot. Oh, there's plenty of them around. I'm
- 1:54Speaker 3: sure there are Say's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I'm right happy.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Saint Patrick's day today is going to be sunny in
- 2:02Speaker 2: a high of forty three.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Is ready ready? Thatt'sy is piping hot today, And now
- 2:09Speaker 1: Amanda fills the seed.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Let's see, my gosh, just when you think the story
- 2:14Speaker 2: couldn't get any more bizarre, Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy,
- 2:17Speaker 2: of course you know by now, they passed away in February. Well,
- 2:19Speaker 2: it turns out that he left his fortune to his wife, Betsy,
- 2:23Speaker 2: but he didn't name his children in his will. Betsy's
- 2:26Speaker 2: will states that all of her money would go to Jane,
- 2:29Speaker 2: but if they died within ninety days of each other,
- 2:31Speaker 2: all of her assets would go to charity. Betsy died
- 2:34Speaker 2: before Gene Hackman, according to this autopsy report. Now Jean
- 2:38Speaker 2: does have three kids. They're looking now to kind of
- 2:40Speaker 2: their lawyer up to see if they can get their
- 2:42Speaker 2: hands on anything, the estate and all of it. And
- 2:44Speaker 2: I hate to say that that feels gross because they
- 2:48Speaker 2: probably just want some of his belongings or whatever it
- 2:51Speaker 2: may be. I feel like they're painting it out to
- 2:53Speaker 2: be like their money hungry kids. But if that was
- 2:55Speaker 2: your parents, you would want to have something to do
- 2:57Speaker 2: with it. I would think, yeah, maybe donate some of
- 3:01Speaker 2: it to charity. But the way this all unfolded, I'm like, gosh,
- 3:03Speaker 2: it's just truly just terrible all the way around.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty weird.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I do also think that if they now Gene Hackman
- 3:10Speaker 3: is a little bit of an older gentleman, obviously a
- 3:12Speaker 3: famous actor that people know and have seen movies that
- 3:15Speaker 3: he's in. But if these two were like young modern
- 3:19Speaker 3: day celebs, A list celebrities, I think this story would
- 3:23Speaker 3: be way more blown up.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I feel like.
- 3:27Speaker 3: This is the weirdest thing that's gonna happen this year.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I think this is the strangest story I think I've
- 3:33Speaker 3: ever seen.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I believe somebody just said, hold my beer. They'll probably
- 3:36Speaker 2: be something stranger and Jennifer Gardner did announce on her
- 3:41Speaker 2: Instagram stories over the weekend, for a limited time, you
- 3:43Speaker 2: can buy a cameo from her, and she is doing
- 3:46Speaker 2: this to raise money for the California wildfire relief. She
- 3:49Speaker 2: was so open when this happened about the fact that
- 3:52Speaker 2: she felt so much guilt that her home was spared.
- 3:54Speaker 2: She also revealed that she had not only lost a friend,
- 3:56Speaker 2: in the tragedy, but hundreds of people that she knows
- 3:59Speaker 2: lost their entire lives, and we forget about it because
- 4:02Speaker 2: we're not right there.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's just like everything.
- 4:04Speaker 2: There's people in North Carolina that got hit with that
- 4:06Speaker 2: hurricane and all of that, not that hurricane.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I don't know was it a hurricane about a year ago.
- 4:12Speaker 2: There are still places that have not had any relief whatsoever.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And when you're not in it, it's easy for us
- 4:17Speaker 2: as a society to just kind of forget about it. Well,
- 4:20Speaker 2: she's gonna be jumping on cameo and you can get
- 4:22Speaker 2: videos from her starting at five hundred dollars, and all
- 4:25Speaker 2: of that money is going to go directly to those
- 4:27Speaker 2: who lost their homes. And Kanye West is reportedly at
- 4:31Speaker 2: war with Kim Kardashian because he dropped a song over
- 4:34Speaker 2: the weekend and it features Diddy and his daughter Northwest.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Kanye dropped this new song it's called Lonely Roads Still
- 4:43Speaker 2: Go to Sunshine, and it's hard to find on the internet.
- 4:47Speaker 2: He took it down because, well, Diddy is a part
- 4:50Speaker 2: of it, and I'm gonna play the audio for you.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's Diddy, Kanye and North Listen.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, I love you so much, man, It's like
- 5:17Speaker 4: you raised me, even even when I know you. You know
- 5:20Speaker 4: what I'm saying, doing everything when you see me, shann
- 5:25Speaker 4: and then do the live life run into the jungle,
- 5:28Speaker 4: look at you to ride surrounded.
- 5:29Speaker 1: By I don't even lie. So weird? What is going
- 5:35Speaker 1: on here?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Kanye is supporting Diddy in a wild move. That is
- 5:39Speaker 2: a wild move. Now you got to remember, let's back
- 5:42Speaker 2: up to why Kim is upset. She is basically the
- 5:44Speaker 2: mamager of Northwest. So she had sent an email or
- 5:49Speaker 2: some sort of document to Kanye saying, you need to
- 5:52Speaker 2: make sure that this is taken off, like this needs
- 5:55Speaker 2: to be done like there there's no way that I
- 5:58Speaker 2: cannot be protecting my dog. I don't want her to
- 6:01Speaker 2: be a part of this because it's a trademark. Kim
- 6:04Speaker 2: says this to him and he fires back amended or
- 6:07Speaker 2: him going to war and you will never recover from
- 6:09Speaker 2: this public fallout.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You're going to have to kill me. That was the
- 6:13Speaker 1: last thing we seen.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I've I have our time just taking Kanye serious at
- 6:19Speaker 3: this point.
- 6:20Speaker 1: See here's my problem.
- 6:21Speaker 3: It's just wild choice after wild choice after wild choice.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It is, and you just want to go, my gosh,
- 6:27Speaker 2: just make it end. But then when you have the
- 6:29Speaker 2: kids involved in it, I can't imagine. And trust me,
- 6:32Speaker 2: Kim Kardashian has made her bed, she can lay in it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: She's had a lot going on in her life as well,
- 6:37Speaker 2: But can you imagine that being your ex husband and
- 6:39Speaker 2: you just never know what is going to happen. I
- 6:42Speaker 2: would be nervous to get on Instagram every day because
- 6:45Speaker 2: who knows what he's going to be dropping or telling?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, what he what video E posts, what song he
- 6:50Speaker 1: has coming out?
- 6:51Speaker 3: What?
- 6:52Speaker 4: For me?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Ryanti's going on on Twitter even like the personal stuff
- 6:55Speaker 2: when he was showing where the kids were going to school,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and I mean, just it's why And I definitely feel
- 7:01Speaker 2: for her, But way to go, Kanye, Let's support did
- 7:05Speaker 2: you right now?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Come on.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Today's arriety Big ninety eight point seven, Happy Saint Patrick's day.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Weather today is gonna be pretty nice, some sunshine and
- 7:14Speaker 2: hive about forty five.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I saw something very interesting on the good old interwebs
- 7:18Speaker 3: this past weekend about travel destinations and dream vacations.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Do you have one in your life?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Oh, I've always said I've wanted to go to like Australia.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I would love to do Greece, Spain, Italy. I mean,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you could ask me all day. Really, I would love
- 7:34Speaker 2: to be a world traveler to see, like the more
- 7:36Speaker 2: you can see the better.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be pretty sick. Actually, I kind of have that.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I I think it'd be really cool to go to Australia,
- 7:42Speaker 3: just the complete opposite of like globally of the United States. Basically,
- 7:47Speaker 3: it'd be really cool to go to Ireland once. I'd
- 7:49Speaker 3: love to do that. Turns out that the people of
- 7:52Speaker 3: Wyoming their dream vacation is Mine, not North Dakota, North Dakota.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Mine, not North Dakota. This is a very why I'm
- 8:02Speaker 1: not sure.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Maybe it has to do with the outdoors or good camping.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I have no clue. It doesn't say I know.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It basically just says the one domestic travel dream for
- 8:14Speaker 3: the people of Wyoming. They're searching on how to take
- 8:18Speaker 3: a trip to Mine, not North Dakota.
- 8:20Speaker 1: What's popping in mine? Not that I might not know
- 8:23Speaker 1: about Amanda.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It's a hotspot for family, fun, local flavors, live arts.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And Scandinavian And then it cuts off.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I can honestly tell you, I am not sure I
- 8:35Speaker 2: might have driven through it, but I've never been to
- 8:37Speaker 2: Why not mine?
- 8:38Speaker 4: Not?
- 8:39Speaker 3: I have not either, which I think now is officially
- 8:41Speaker 3: gonna have to be on my bucket list of like
- 8:44Speaker 3: North Dakota travel destinations. I gotta go see it. The
- 8:47Speaker 3: people of Wyoming are trying to see it, so I better.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: A lot of people I think enjoy going to western
- 8:52Speaker 2: North Dakota, especially for Medora and as they're headed to Montana.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I am a girl who travel to Colorado and Iowa.
- 9:02Speaker 2: If there's family in there, that's our destination.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I think this summer, Corey and I are headed
- 9:06Speaker 3: to Montana at some point, so maybe we'll have to
- 9:09Speaker 3: do a little stop and good old mine. Not if
- 9:11Speaker 3: you were a North Dakota or Fargo or FM area
- 9:14Speaker 3: native here, where do you think our big dream destination
- 9:18Speaker 3: vacation is? At least for maybe coming up this summer
- 9:21Speaker 3: in twenty twenty five The list could change, obviously, but
- 9:24Speaker 3: this summer, where do you think North Dakota and Minnesotans want.
- 9:26Speaker 1: To go in the States? Yep, in the United States.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to say I'm going somewhere warm. It's
- 9:34Speaker 2: good start, and I'm gonna go let's go San Diego
- 9:38Speaker 2: somewhere in California.
- 9:39Speaker 1: You know what, not a terrible guess.
- 9:41Speaker 3: The dream vacation for a lot of ND Natives and
- 9:45Speaker 3: Minnesotans as well, Las Vegas. A lot of people trying
- 9:48Speaker 3: to go get some them on here this summer supposedly,
- 9:51Speaker 3: which I've been to Vegas kind of enough times in
- 9:54Speaker 3: my young adult life that I it's not like I'll
- 9:57Speaker 3: never go back, but I'm just kind of over it
- 9:59Speaker 3: for a while. It's like kind of been there three,
- 10:01Speaker 3: four or five times or something like that. It's like,
- 10:02Speaker 3: I got other places I gotta see.
- 10:04Speaker 2: If I'm gonna go, I have to go for a reason,
- 10:06Speaker 2: Like there'd have to be either an amazing show, right,
- 10:09Speaker 2: somebody's party, something like that. But as far as like
- 10:11Speaker 2: a destination, I'm with you. I'm kind of feeling really
- 10:15Speaker 2: old for that.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's just kind of funny when I look through this list. Right.
- 10:18Speaker 3: So the people of Oregon their dream is to go
- 10:21Speaker 3: to Thailand. Californians want to go to Japan. We have
- 10:25Speaker 3: people in Mississippi their dreams to go to the Dominican Republic.
- 10:28Speaker 3: All these very vastly different places. But now not the
- 10:31Speaker 3: people of Wyoming. Wyoming's are trying to get to mine,
- 10:34Speaker 3: not North Dakota. I respect it.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That's amazing. Today's Variety, Big ninety eight point seven. Happy
- 10:42Speaker 1: Saint Patrick's Day.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Back at it out on Monday, and the weather going
- 10:44Speaker 2: to be pretty decent, some sunshine and a HIA forty three.
- 10:47Speaker 3: All right, it is Saint Patrick's Day. Also for a
- 10:49Speaker 3: lot of younger people, it is spring break. I suppose
- 10:53Speaker 3: maybe for some teachers as well. Spring break just around
- 10:55Speaker 3: the country. Spring Break's happening in universities and high schools
- 10:59Speaker 3: and what have you.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Cargo has I think all week off, and then
- 11:02Speaker 2: West Fargo we get a couple of days off Thursday
- 11:03Speaker 2: and Friday this week.
- 11:04Speaker 3: All right, Well, did you ever do you want to
- 11:07Speaker 3: know one thing that makes me so jealous and drives
- 11:11Speaker 3: me nuts whenever you know, you're scrolling through whatever social
- 11:14Speaker 3: media and you see all the spring break photos. When
- 11:16Speaker 3: I was eighteen nineteen years old, I didn't have any
- 11:19Speaker 3: money to go anywhere.
- 11:20Speaker 1: How are all these.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Kids hanging out in poot Takana And I was chilling
- 11:24Speaker 3: in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- 11:26Speaker 2: A lot of times it's your parents. Your parents take
- 11:29Speaker 2: you and you get to enjoy. I would think otherwise
- 11:33Speaker 2: they're hustling, Gabe, they were hustling harder than you something
- 11:36Speaker 2: or saving their money or whatever it may be, student
- 11:39Speaker 2: loan paybacks or what have you. That pipe might be
- 11:42Speaker 2: a little bit more accurate. Did you ever have and
- 11:44Speaker 2: it doesn't necessarily have to be spring break? Spring break
- 11:47Speaker 2: like the quintessential thing you think about, But did you
- 11:50Speaker 2: ever have a trip around spring break that you remember
- 11:53Speaker 2: growing up?
- 11:54Speaker 1: I had?
- 11:54Speaker 3: I remember our first trip Corey and I took on
- 11:56Speaker 3: a plane just ever well, yeah, but it was for
- 12:00Speaker 3: her spring break.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It wasn't my spring break. She was in school at
- 12:03Speaker 1: the time. Where do you guys go?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Okay, so as in March, So we always kind of
- 12:07Speaker 3: do a vacation around March.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's really weird. It's just kind of been the tradition
- 12:10Speaker 1: for years.
- 12:11Speaker 2: But it's when you need relief from the Midwest, that's
- 12:14Speaker 2: usually how it goes.
- 12:15Speaker 3: And we had Yeah, I really wanted to go to Nashville.
- 12:18Speaker 3: She really wanted to go to Nashville. You wanted to
- 12:19Speaker 3: check it out. I really just like the history of music,
- 12:22Speaker 3: and you know, being a fan of various people in
- 12:26Speaker 3: country music.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's like, oh, let's go to Nashville, check out you
- 12:29Speaker 1: know some live tunes.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Just enjoy the absolutely my days were there and not
- 12:33Speaker 3: really have a plan. And so we went and it
- 12:36Speaker 3: was March and we're thinking, oh yeah, this is like
- 12:38Speaker 3: sort of south. It'll be probably seventy eighty degrees. And
- 12:41Speaker 3: so we go there and we brought like hoodies and pants,
- 12:45Speaker 3: but not like a jacket. We get there on a Wednesday,
- 12:50Speaker 3: and I am not kidding. For five days it was thirties.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Oh no, cloudy. It rained on the Friday and Saturday,
- 12:59Speaker 3: so like the big weekend day of walking around, it
- 13:02Speaker 3: was freezing and of course no jacket, nothing, I just
- 13:06Speaker 3: walking around in a hoodie. Goes to show I obviously
- 13:09Speaker 3: wasn't very prepared and didn't plan ahead at all, which
- 13:12Speaker 3: now I obviously look at the weather before I go,
- 13:14Speaker 3: but I'd never been so mad in my life. It
- 13:16Speaker 3: was about the same temperature there as it was back home.
- 13:19Speaker 1: So funny you say that.
- 13:20Speaker 2: So typically we usually do a Denver trip just to
- 13:23Speaker 2: go because it's built in baby City and my dad
- 13:25Speaker 2: has everything.
- 13:26Speaker 1: We don't have to run a car.
- 13:27Speaker 2: It's just an easy trip for our family, right well
- 13:30Speaker 2: while we're there, So this was last year our little
- 13:32Speaker 2: mid break situation, and it's a it's hit or miss
- 13:37Speaker 2: what the weather's going to be. Sometimes we go there
- 13:40Speaker 2: and it's really nice. Sometimes we go there and they're
- 13:42Speaker 2: having worse weather than we are. Right And so last
- 13:45Speaker 2: year my husband and I are like, Okay, we're going
- 13:47Speaker 2: to do a date night, and so we went up.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's called black Hawk and it's like a little casino town.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And we went up on a Wednesday and we were
- 13:53Speaker 2: just going to come back on Thursday evening.
- 13:56Speaker 1: So it's just going to be a one nighter.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Well, they said it was going to be a huge bluss,
- 14:00Speaker 2: just this huge blizzard. Were like, okay, we're from Fargo, Like,
- 14:03Speaker 2: we're gonna be just miss. Let me guess you're gonna
- 14:07Speaker 2: get a couple of inches of snow right pound it.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We wake up the next day and there is over
- 14:15Speaker 2: a foot of snow.
- 14:16Speaker 1: We cannot get out of the mountaintown.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It was so bad. We're stuck in this casino. Thankfully,
- 14:22Speaker 2: we had already had bought like a spa day situation
- 14:26Speaker 2: and everything, but there were people that were trying to
- 14:30Speaker 2: get out of there.
- 14:30Speaker 1: They couldn't. Thankfully, we had a hotel room.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Some of these people had nowhere to sleep, They ran
- 14:35Speaker 2: out of food, like it was insane for forty eight
- 14:40Speaker 2: hours at this hotel. And again we're kind of experiencing it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: But I was going, I'm hungry, Like we were eating
- 14:46Speaker 2: a bag of chips. But yet you could have all
- 14:49Speaker 2: the drinks you wanted. You got gamble if you wanted to.
- 14:52Speaker 2: But I'm like, I'm starving. I never knew how much
- 14:54Speaker 2: I wanted, just like a good meal for entertainment, right,
- 14:58Speaker 2: But it was one of those moments I'm like, Okay,
- 15:00Speaker 2: So this year we had talked about it. We're like, oh,
- 15:01Speaker 2: we'll just go for a week for what the same weather, like,
- 15:05Speaker 2: just add mountains.
- 15:06Speaker 1: That's it.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Gooday's variety, big ninety eight points, all right, Happy Sam
- 15:13Speaker 2: Pitt Saint Patrick's day.
- 15:15Speaker 1: It is going to be a nice day, some sunshine
- 15:16Speaker 1: and high are forty three? All right, Amanda.
- 15:18Speaker 3: I recorded a couple of individuals whilst I was doing
- 15:20Speaker 3: some pub crawling on Saturday, and basically I want you
- 15:24Speaker 3: to figure out did these or I don't know, attempt
- 15:26Speaker 3: to answer, did these people do these things that they
- 15:29Speaker 3: admit to doing when they were a little kid or
- 15:32Speaker 3: were they an adult and had a couple too many
- 15:35Speaker 3: green beers. All right, all right, are you ready for
- 15:38Speaker 3: our first clip?
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yes, all right, here we go. Let me pop that
- 15:41Speaker 1: down a little bit.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I looked at stranger's ice cream cone because it looked good.
- 15:46Speaker 3: All right, did this person do this while they were
- 15:48Speaker 3: a little kid?
- 15:49Speaker 1: It made me uncomfortable.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Licking a stranger's ice cream cone. That's got to be
- 15:57Speaker 2: when you were a little kid, That's what I would guess, right.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yes, I was a little kid.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I thought it was my dad's friend, so I thought
- 16:03Speaker 2: i'd lick his ice cream code. He was not my
- 16:06Speaker 2: dad's friend, and it was a complete stranger who was
- 16:09Speaker 2: not amused.
- 16:10Speaker 1: He did not take it all that well.
- 16:12Speaker 3: If you were at a Twins game or something, sitting
- 16:14Speaker 3: next to a family and some little kid just lit
- 16:16Speaker 3: your ice cream cone, yuck.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But also, that's just kids. Kids don't have a sense
- 16:21Speaker 1: of germs, you know what I mean. They're just like, ah, whatever, right,
- 16:26Speaker 1: not a care in the world. All right, you're ready
- 16:27Speaker 1: for your next clip. Here we go. Is this a
- 16:29Speaker 1: little kid or a drunk adult? I got my head
- 16:32Speaker 1: stuck in a railing at a theme park. Head stuck
- 16:35Speaker 1: in a railing at a theme park.
- 16:36Speaker 2: That's got to be a kid, because if you're drunk
- 16:38Speaker 2: at a theme park, yikes.
- 16:39Speaker 3: I have done this, not at a theme park, but
- 16:41Speaker 3: I've gotten my head stuck in something when I was
- 16:43Speaker 3: a young kid and obviously was stuck and had to
- 16:47Speaker 3: get some help to get out. I didn't have to
- 16:48Speaker 3: call the fire departments or anything, but it was pretty scary.
- 16:51Speaker 3: All right, little kid or drunk adult? What'd you guess?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Little kid? Yeah? All right, I was a drunk adult.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Oh boy.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I tried to prove that my head was the perfect
- 16:59Speaker 2: size the bars, and it was not, and firefighters had
- 17:03Speaker 2: to lube me up with something that felt like butter
- 17:05Speaker 2: to get me out. Could you imagine this on video?
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah? I agree? All right, I have one more for you.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Is this a little kid or drunk adult? Amanda?
- 17:14Speaker 4: It's one time I poured hot tea on my stepdad's
- 17:17Speaker 4: lap on purpose, just to get even.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Pouring hot tea on his stepdad's lap dogs like a salt. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 3: be a kid, definitely the second third degree burns or something. Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 3: all right, Well here's what this gentleman had to say
- 17:31Speaker 3: whilst we were pub crawling on Saturday.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I was a drunk adult. My stepdad was always talking
- 17:36Speaker 4: trash me, so when I was twenty five years old,
- 17:39Speaker 4: one time I got hammered and confronted him on why
- 17:42Speaker 4: he always treated me this way. So he had the
- 17:45Speaker 4: nerve to say that it was because I always had
- 17:47Speaker 4: crap for brains. I didn't take that too well, so
- 17:51Speaker 4: I took a pot of tea and dumped it in
- 17:53Speaker 4: his lap when he wasn't looking. He used to say,
- 17:56Speaker 4: I haven't talked to him ever since.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Here's one of those scenarios where you're out about in public,
- 18:01Speaker 3: you know, asking for help with a radio bit, and
- 18:03Speaker 3: you've almost wonder if someone took it a little too far,
- 18:06Speaker 3: shared a little too much of their personal story with.
- 18:08Speaker 1: A little bit of therapy.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yeah, either way out, I do appreciate those three who
- 18:12Speaker 3: helped me with that, Thank you very much.
- 18:16Speaker 1: He's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Well happy, Saint Patrick's say, going to be a beautiful
- 18:20Speaker 2: day as some sunshine I have about forty three.
- 18:23Speaker 3: All right, we have Saint Patrick's Day going on today
- 18:25Speaker 3: for a lot of people around the country, maybe even
- 18:28Speaker 3: around the world, but definitely around here. Spring break is underway.
- 18:33Speaker 3: It is, yes, and there is a clip that has
- 18:36Speaker 3: gone viral on the Internet of a family whose father
- 18:41Speaker 3: decided to download Pinder while they were on their spring break.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Bad move, Dad, not smart.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Now, when you see things like this on Instagram and
- 18:51Speaker 3: they go viral or you see them on you to
- 18:53Speaker 3: whatever it is, part of you kind of wonders, is
- 18:56Speaker 3: this set up?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Are they all in on it? Is this real?
- 19:00Speaker 2: That was my instant reaction because it is so hard
- 19:04Speaker 2: to listen to.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like I'm hearing something I shouldn't hear,
- 19:08Speaker 3: and now the entire internet has heard this.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Take a listen to this clip.
- 19:12Speaker 3: When mom finds out that Dad has downloaded Tender, I.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Don't know what you're talking about you're talking about? It
- 19:28Speaker 1: kind of hits me in a weird spot.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I feel like we shouldn't know that that exists, so
- 19:32Speaker 3: I don't think it's fake.
- 19:34Speaker 2: But also, who's videotaping this? I mean, if you find
- 19:37Speaker 2: out because you didn't give the fullback story about how
- 19:40Speaker 2: the was it?
- 19:41Speaker 3: The daughter daughter discovered dad on Tender Yeah, which is
- 19:45Speaker 3: also extremely awkward.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And then tells Mom, Ye, and now we're destroying the family.
- 19:51Speaker 2: We're on spring break. Yeah, And then somebody's just recording that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But I'm with you. Can you imagine making that U? No, Yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 2: that's wild.
- 20:02Speaker 3: So I guess that poses the question, Amanda, you and
- 20:06Speaker 3: the squad are on spring break, you've got Tinder, you've
- 20:10Speaker 3: got bumble, you've got hinge, and you find your dad
- 20:14Speaker 3: on there. Are you immediately telling mom? How would you
- 20:18Speaker 3: handle this scenario? I'm going to assume, film it and
- 20:22Speaker 3: put it on the internet for the world to see.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Is not your first step? Definitely not.
- 20:26Speaker 2: My first move would be going directly to dad. Immediately
- 20:30Speaker 2: going to dad and saying, what is this? Yeah, explain yourself, right,
- 20:36Speaker 2: and then you have X amount of time to tell
- 20:40Speaker 2: mom or I'm going to right?
- 20:42Speaker 1: Would you wait till after spring break at least? Oh?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Gosh see, let's hear this at home. I'm trying to
- 20:47Speaker 1: enjoy my time on the beach. Oh see, that's the
- 20:51Speaker 1: thing I mean.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I guess you would say, Okay, I know, you get
- 20:56Speaker 2: off right now, like you need to be off of
- 20:58Speaker 2: Tinder right now, right, and then you haven'tuntil we get
- 21:01Speaker 2: home or when we get home.
- 21:02Speaker 1: To tell mom. Oh, I don't even think I could
- 21:05Speaker 1: sit at dinner. Yeah, that's also you have to fake it.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Everything about it, and then oh, I would be the
- 21:11Speaker 2: worst at this, yeah, because I can't be fake, Like
- 21:14Speaker 2: I can't, I would be and then one glass of
- 21:18Speaker 2: red wine.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Hey mom, Yeah, like it wouldn't take much, you know, Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 1: I would be so well.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I guess if I was on tin, we'd have to
- 21:27Speaker 3: flip it the other way for me if I found
- 21:29Speaker 3: my mother on Tinder or something on spring break, if
- 21:31Speaker 3: we are out or whatever, because I wouldn't find my dad,
- 21:34Speaker 3: right if I was on tender.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you would still be able to find out, say,
- 21:39Speaker 1: what's your dad?
- 21:39Speaker 3: If I found out my dad was on tender, I'm
- 21:41Speaker 3: old enough now and no offense to Greg, but he's
- 21:45Speaker 3: old enough now. I would probably just pummel him to
- 21:47Speaker 3: a pulp. Oh geez, Yeah, there would be fisticuffs. Bro,
- 21:50Speaker 3: You're not doing that to my mother.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You know.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And then when mom goes what's wrong, I'd just say
- 21:56Speaker 3: we got into it or something and then tell her
- 21:58Speaker 3: when we got home or something. I'd eventually tell her. Yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 3: but such a dude thing, very fisted, carry dude. Me
- 22:05Speaker 3: and dad are boxing it out. Definitely boxing it out.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Don't do that to my mom.
- 22:10Speaker 1: That's the case. Then I'm grabbing my camera.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Th on.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'll ride some sunshine today, h I have about forty three.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And of course it is Saint Patrick's Day. And when
- 22:23Speaker 2: did the parenting pressures become so hard? I know the
- 22:26Speaker 2: thing social media right now and I am scrolling and
- 22:30Speaker 2: it's not even eight am. And I see leprechauns in
- 22:34Speaker 2: people's houses much like Elf on the shelf.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I see toilets.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Being decorated in green with like a trails from the leprechaun.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what's the way have I done wrong as
- 22:47Speaker 1: a parent? What's the leprechaun toilet situation?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Just it's a pot of gold, it's having fun. I'm guessing.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:54Speaker 2: This is a new trend. People are having fun with
- 22:56Speaker 2: their kids on Saint Patrick's Day. I've never been on
- 22:58Speaker 2: board with them, never heard of this at all. Your
- 23:01Speaker 2: parents never did anything crazy for you, the luck of
- 23:04Speaker 2: the Irish or anything.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Maybe at like daycare or something grown up.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Well, once I was not and once I was in school, No,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I we didn't do like nothing. We don't have a
- 23:15Speaker 3: single Saint Patrick's Day tradition at Glyndenhouse grown up.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I love that people are doing this.
- 23:20Speaker 2: So I had told you, like, for Valentine's Day, put
- 23:22Speaker 2: together a cute little gift or whatever for my kids.
- 23:25Speaker 2: And I'm seeing parents having like lucky charms in the
- 23:28Speaker 2: morning with like all of these gifts.
- 23:30Speaker 1: And it's cute.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I don't hate that, No, this is fantastic. It's just
- 23:34Speaker 2: making me feel like I have failed as a parent. Okay,
- 23:38Speaker 2: my kids couldn't even find anything green in their closets
- 23:40Speaker 2: really this morning.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But you know, you just got to prepare.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I guess, I know, all right, you know what, I
- 23:46Speaker 3: don't think your children will be the only kids not
- 23:49Speaker 3: rocking green today.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I kind of spaced it just because
- 23:52Speaker 2: we celebrated Saint Patrick's Day at the pub crawl on Saturday. Now,
- 23:56Speaker 2: of course today the kids are wearing green, enjoying. Some
- 23:59Speaker 2: of the kids are un break It's just a lot
- 24:01Speaker 2: going on. Yeah, I mean, think about it. In the
- 24:04Speaker 2: studio here, you and I are similarly dressed. We're both
- 24:06Speaker 2: kind of rock and just black for the most part.
- 24:09Speaker 4: I have.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I just happen to have a green Saint Patrick's Day
- 24:12Speaker 3: baseball hat.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I'm proud of you. I did remember that this morning.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Other than that, I completely blank that today with Saint
- 24:18Speaker 3: Patrick's Day until I got here.
- 24:20Speaker 2: But yeah, so there are so many new fun parenting
- 24:22Speaker 2: traditions and just traditions in general. Do you do the
- 24:25Speaker 2: corn beef? Are you making that at home? Or do
- 24:27Speaker 2: you guys go and seek it out on a day
- 24:29Speaker 2: like today? You know what, I'll probably have pizza for
- 24:31Speaker 2: dinner today. No, we need a Ruben pizza.
- 24:35Speaker 4: You know.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I do like a good Ruben.
- 24:37Speaker 3: I do like if I go out and we get,
- 24:39Speaker 3: you know, some type of Saint Patrick Day food. Most
- 24:41Speaker 3: times it's going to be like a stew as opposed
- 24:44Speaker 3: to like because I don't like cabbage gotch he doesn't
- 24:47Speaker 3: really like cabbage per se, but will eat corn beef
- 24:50Speaker 3: for sure. Love that a nice stew. Maybe we'll do that.
- 24:53Speaker 3: But overall, I'm Saint Patrick donoff on Saturday. Today, I'll
- 24:57Speaker 3: probably go about a regular month day.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Today. You're just going to Monday. That's it. I'm gon tap.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I'm just going to try to survive. I think today
- 25:05Speaker 3: sounds like a plan. So Leprechaun, you know, elf on
- 25:09Speaker 3: the shelf, So what do they do like Leprechaun in
- 25:11Speaker 3: the lawn.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Leprechaun on the John.
- 25:13Speaker 2: If they're going to be putting like the Green Food
- 25:17Speaker 2: Dye and the Toilet's Parents, you're killing me.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But I love it. It's adorable. That Leprechaun on the
- 25:23Speaker 1: John is classic.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Definitely one that's going to be brought to the glitten
- 25:26Speaker 3: House today.
