- 2:57Speaker 1: Can we just let's get a lot of time. Oh.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Will called me this morning. This is a true story.
- 3:05Speaker 3: He got me a little birthday gift. Thank you, Willie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: See.
- 3:09Speaker 3: But he started off the call, he was like, hey,
- 3:12Speaker 3: kind of a cold little spring morning. It's raining in Nashville.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Sureman.
- 3:16Speaker 3: And when I woke up this morning, there was steam
- 3:19Speaker 3: coming out of my toilet as ip. I said, whoa
- 3:24Speaker 3: is that normal? Like, what's going on? And he said,
- 3:26Speaker 3: my pisses is hot?
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh, it's for the Dad's day.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's where the Dad's day? Did? Was your pissot steaming?
- 3:31Speaker 3: I go golllyye, I got it, Like whatever you got.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Going on, I need to get going on. But it did.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Did I hit you with the nice little birthday gives
- 3:39Speaker 1: you ever nicotine pouches?
- 3:42Speaker 3: And he got the vibes up so early.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You were fired up on the phone. I was I'm
- 3:47Speaker 1: driving on the gas station.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I'm like, I know suirm like I kind of put
- 3:50Speaker 3: them on this gas station it's got his roll decks
- 3:52Speaker 3: of everything, all the things that he loves.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's kind of out of his way, it is. Let
- 3:56Speaker 1: me just call and check in on the boy and
- 3:58Speaker 1: be like, Hey, I'm popping over to the local gas station,
- 4:00Speaker 1: the local watering hole. Would you like me to pick
- 4:03Speaker 1: you up some of your favorite blank?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I felt like I was a member of PT Fix
- 4:09Speaker 3: in that moment, because when I was a member of
- 4:11Speaker 3: PT Fix and working construction, my boy Evan and I were.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Often doing that with each other.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Hey, I'm running by that Chick fil A where you
- 4:19Speaker 3: always love getting the Chick fil A, you know, breakfast biscuit.
- 4:22Speaker 3: You want me to grab you one? Hey, you want
- 4:24Speaker 3: me to get you a red Bull? You want me
- 4:25Speaker 3: to get you brought me back to the PT Fixed days, dude,
- 4:29Speaker 3: getting my nicotine right, and uh yeah, it was just
- 4:32Speaker 3: kind of like drowsy driving in this morning, super rainy day.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I was having to concentrate like super hard as I
- 4:39Speaker 3: was driving in. I get a phone call like that
- 4:42Speaker 3: woke me up.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's been raining like crazy here in Nashville.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yes, it's gonna be raining all week too, and it dude,
- 4:48Speaker 3: that's my dad loss this week that's my dad loss.
- 4:51Speaker 3: We don't have to get at it because I know
- 4:52Speaker 3: we got some housekeeping stuff we got to get into first.
- 4:55Speaker 1: We'll get into the dad losses. We'll get into ruheader.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Last day of school, so it was now home for
- 5:01Speaker 1: the summer. I'm playing, what is it, Alice Cooper, School's out,
- 5:05Speaker 1: School's out for summer?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Is that Alice Cooper?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Cool summer? This is yeah? I'm like, oh, sweetheart, this
- 5:14Speaker 1: is your first time experiencing summer. We got to do
- 5:17Speaker 1: it up for you. Get to sleep in a little
- 5:19Speaker 1: bit more slower mornings. But ruheader last day of school
- 5:22Speaker 1: last week, we'll dive into that stuff. I also have
- 5:25Speaker 1: some follow ups that'll help kick this off because on
- 5:29Speaker 1: last week's episode, if you guys tuned in, especially if
- 5:32Speaker 1: you listen to the whole thing, I get into how
- 5:34Speaker 1: I pissed the bed over the weekend last last weekend.
- 5:38Speaker 1: This week, yeah, pt piss. I do feel like I
- 5:42Speaker 1: have some new some updates with pissing the bed. An
- 5:46Speaker 1: answer possibly that I feel like I came across you
- 5:50Speaker 1: actually do. Because I was signaling to the world last week.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I was curious if there are bedwinners out there at
- 5:55Speaker 1: the age of thirty six. Yeah, with father of two
- 5:59Speaker 1: if there are other bed wetters out there, because there's
- 6:01Speaker 1: a part of me it's like, yeah, it's embarrassing, it's
- 6:03Speaker 1: fucking a little insecure about it.
- 6:06Speaker 2: But this is the same.
- 6:07Speaker 1: We're in the trust tree for the dads and papa
- 6:10Speaker 1: team sits and the moms that listen, like you guys
- 6:12Speaker 1: out there that have your giggles, Like, just know that
- 6:14Speaker 1: I am insecure talking about it, but also I feel
- 6:17Speaker 1: safe with you guys.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And I want you to now I think you already
- 6:21Speaker 3: know this. I laugh because you make me laugh about it.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Here's a great follow up from Coach Webb ninety nine
- 6:32Speaker 1: oh three, and I saw this comment last week and
- 6:33Speaker 1: it didn't make me laugh out loud. Repeat a fender
- 6:36Speaker 1: by the way, Coach web between Will's math acumen bed wedding,
- 6:40Speaker 1: remember I put that math problem together, mathcumen, bed wedding,
- 6:45Speaker 1: and incredible successes in multiple careers, it would be a
- 6:48Speaker 1: crime not to donate his body to science after his passing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: That's a good comment, Coach, Well, that's a good cover.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So my god, as you guys know, I pissed the
- 7:09Speaker 1: bed for a very long time. About fourteen it started
- 7:12Speaker 1: to trickle off, But there's spots, there's moments to where
- 7:14Speaker 1: I've still kind of pissed the bed. Usually I wake
- 7:16Speaker 1: myself up when I'm in the middle of a piss
- 7:18Speaker 1: and this is like a couple times a year.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yeah, not that that makes it any better, but with
- 7:23Speaker 2: my age.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It's it's something that's going on. You know, we're just
- 7:27Speaker 3: dealing with it. Last weekend, I just pissed the bed. Fully,
- 7:32Speaker 3: I've also learned how do I even set this up.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Let me take you back to twenty.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And eighteen free agency when I was getting a physical
- 7:41Speaker 1: with the Buffalo Bills, and I've spoken about this on
- 7:44Speaker 1: Busting with the Boys.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I've spoken about this before.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I even think we did a vlog and Under the
- 7:47Speaker 1: Hood where I went on a doctor's visit back in
- 7:49Speaker 1: like twenty twenty or twenty twenty one, whenever I got
- 7:52Speaker 1: a brain MRI. Yeah, but when I was in free
- 7:54Speaker 1: agency and they were giving me a physical, so they're
- 7:57Speaker 1: doing all my scans, all my MRIs from previous injuries,
- 8:01Speaker 1: I would have stinger issue. I've had stingers before, I've
- 8:04Speaker 1: had concussions, I've had a spinal cord concussion that sounds
- 8:08Speaker 1: way worse than how it sounds, and so they're just
- 8:13Speaker 1: scanning me in case I were to sign with the
- 8:16Speaker 1: Buffalo Bills. They're checking their investment. Yeah, they're checking their investment.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It felt like it was going to be a promising
- 8:21Speaker 1: visit to where when I was going to leave Buffalo
- 8:25Speaker 1: on that free agent visit, to where I was going
- 8:27Speaker 1: to have a contract with Buffalo. And they're doing my scans.
- 8:30Speaker 1: They do a c spine MRI, very very normal, very common.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And I'm meeting with the defensive coordinator coach Fraser, I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: meeting with the linebacker coach, and I'm actually in the
- 8:41Speaker 1: middle of watching film about their defensive philosophy, where I
- 8:45Speaker 1: fit in, where I fit in their scheme, all of
- 8:48Speaker 1: these things. An athletic trainer comes in the room. Knock, knock, Hey, coach,
- 8:53Speaker 1: do you mind if we pull Will out for a
- 8:56Speaker 1: little bit? Absolutely? Do you know what we're going to
- 8:58Speaker 1: get him back? We don't know right now, but we
- 9:00Speaker 1: will let you know as soon as we you know,
- 9:03Speaker 1: as soon as we talked.
- 9:03Speaker 3: To wellt row Is right. Yeah, I'm sitting there, I'm like, Okay,
- 9:08Speaker 3: that's kind of weird. Go into the training room.
- 9:10Speaker 1: They have my c spine MRI up on the white
- 9:15Speaker 1: highlighted when you know where they got the scans on
- 9:17Speaker 1: the deal, and they're like, do you see this white mass?
- 9:20Speaker 1: And obviously I'll have the photo to chef so he
- 9:22Speaker 1: can have it up on the screen while I'm talking
- 9:24Speaker 1: through this, but he's like, do you see this white
- 9:26Speaker 1: mask that is in your brain?
- 9:28Speaker 2: At that moment, it was we don't know what this is.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm not a I'm not a what is it a neurologist.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm not a brain doctor. Yeah, I'm not a brain doctor.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And they're like, we don't know what this is, and
- 9:43Speaker 1: we would like to get another MRI on your brain
- 9:46Speaker 1: to fully understand the entire picture. And I'm like, okay,
- 9:49Speaker 1: so YadA, YadA, YadA, And the doc tells me we're
- 9:53Speaker 1: not talking about football right now. We are talking about
- 9:57Speaker 1: this could be a tumor, this could be cancerous. We
- 10:01Speaker 1: don't know. And I obviously like, those are scary things
- 10:04Speaker 1: that I'm telling you, but we just need to get
- 10:06Speaker 1: an MRI as soon as possible. So I asked the doctor,
- 10:09Speaker 1: all right, do I need to get one here? And
- 10:10Speaker 1: he's like, I recommend we fly you back to DC
- 10:13Speaker 1: because I was with the Washington Redskins at the time.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Recommend we fly you back to DC so you can
- 10:17Speaker 1: be around people that are closer in your circle. So
- 10:20Speaker 1: antennas are going up in my brain like, oh, this
- 10:23Speaker 1: seems like a pretty severe thing that's happening that they
- 10:26Speaker 1: just don't know about. And I see this white mass
- 10:28Speaker 1: just sitting.
- 10:28Speaker 2: On my brain.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You're looking at this scan thinking holy fuck.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Like and for audio listeners that didn't see the image
- 10:35Speaker 3: pop up on the screen, we're talking like a dollar
- 10:38Speaker 3: sized coin mass. Like this isn't like a little freckle
- 10:42Speaker 3: that's like, oh what is that?
- 10:43Speaker 1: This is like, so, yeah, something where if you were
- 10:45Speaker 1: looking at your brain, you were having this conversation and
- 10:48Speaker 1: you didn't know anything was going on in your brain.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You've been playing football, you've been doing all these things.
- 10:52Speaker 1: To see this little white mass it's like popping off
- 10:55Speaker 1: the screen. Yeah, So I go back. I get a
- 10:58Speaker 1: contrast MRI with the with the radiologists. They where they
- 11:02Speaker 1: inject IV they see if anything's lighting up to see
- 11:04Speaker 1: if they can figure out if it's going to be
- 11:06Speaker 1: a tumor or not. I then after this MRI, I'm
- 11:09Speaker 1: walking upstairs. As I'm walking upstairs, I hear the radiologists
- 11:12Speaker 1: on the phone with our team doctor, the Washington team
- 11:14Speaker 1: doctor at the time, and he's alluding to I think
- 11:17Speaker 1: we have to get this cut out and ship it
- 11:18Speaker 1: off to a lab to see exactly what it is.
- 11:22Speaker 1: He's under the impression that it is a tumor at
- 11:25Speaker 1: the time. I end up walking in the door as
- 11:27Speaker 1: he's on the phone and he's like, okay, he's in here,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I gotta go. Walks in and I'm like, Doc, here,
- 11:33Speaker 1: great conversation over here. Yeah, And I'm like, hey, Doc,
- 11:36Speaker 1: like we can just cut straight through the bullshit, like,
- 11:38Speaker 1: just tell me what I'm looking at. He's like, well,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I think that you have a tumor in your brain
- 11:42Speaker 1: that we need to get removed and ship it off
- 11:44Speaker 1: to a lab to fully understand what it is. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm kind of sitting there like in a haze, right,
- 11:50Speaker 1: like everything's kind of quiet. He's kind of thought like,
- 11:52Speaker 1: picture the the echo voices in the background, and you're
- 11:55Speaker 1: kind of just staring at this scan of your brain.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And then he starts talking like, but hey, we can
- 12:01Speaker 1: once we get this cut out there's like a titanium
- 12:03Speaker 1: plate that we can put in and you can still play,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you can do all the things.
- 12:06Speaker 2: And I'm like, hey, dog, no disrespect.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But if this is like a tumor, if this is
- 12:10Speaker 1: something that's bad, like def like the first thing I'm
- 12:14Speaker 1: thinking about is not putting my helmet back, is putting
- 12:16Speaker 1: my helmet on and getting back in an Oklahoma drill. Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And so I talked to the team doctor after that
- 12:23Speaker 1: visit or like, hey, we're shipping it off to surgeons.
- 12:26Speaker 1: We're shipping it off to people to get the best
- 12:27Speaker 1: eyes on it, to get as much feedback and as
- 12:29Speaker 1: much information as we can on it. So I'm kind
- 12:32Speaker 1: of sitting on ice for the next forty eight hours.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Like I'm not telling my Charro was my wife is
- 12:36Speaker 1: my girlfriend at the time. She's at the Philippines on vacation.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'm not telling her because I don't want to upend
- 12:42Speaker 1: what she's going, what she's doing currently and then make
- 12:45Speaker 1: it it's like make it all about you when we
- 12:47Speaker 1: don't know the entire picture. Yeah, I'm on the phone
- 12:49Speaker 1: with my dad. It's emotional with my dad. Don't hey,
- 12:51Speaker 1: don't tell my mom And until we know. Neurosurgeon calls
- 12:56Speaker 1: me like forty eight hours later, it is about four
- 12:58Speaker 1: or five in the morning, calls me. I'm a way
- 13:00Speaker 1: sit there. Answer to the phone. He's like, Will, I'm
- 13:02Speaker 1: sure you've been stressing about this. I wanted to shut
- 13:04Speaker 1: down all the stress right now, like that. This is
- 13:07Speaker 1: not a tumor. This is a cyst that I believe
- 13:10Speaker 1: has been in your brain since birth. I went back
- 13:12Speaker 1: through all of your previous MRIs dated back to twenty
- 13:15Speaker 1: fourteen when you were on Washington. They must have missed
- 13:18Speaker 1: it because it is in there. It is a hard
- 13:20Speaker 1: thing to see unless you're going through, unless you're thumbing
- 13:22Speaker 1: through it to look for assist or a tumor.
- 13:25Speaker 2: In your brain.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Because when I was getting those scans for Washington, we're
- 13:28Speaker 1: checking on things after a concussion, or we're checking on thanks, yes,
- 13:31Speaker 1: your sting, yes, shoulder. Yes, It's so very easy to miss.
- 13:36Speaker 1: But I just want to put it to bed. There
- 13:38Speaker 1: is not a tumor in your brain. This is an
- 13:40Speaker 1: assist that's been in your serehbellum that in like pediatric terms,
- 13:43Speaker 1: that leads me to believe that this has been.
- 13:45Speaker 2: In your head your entire life. Damn all we've had
- 13:48Speaker 2: to do.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Is make sure year in and year out, is I
- 13:51Speaker 1: go and get an MRI I've missed. I haven't gotten
- 13:54Speaker 1: an MRI on my brain since twenty twenty one. So
- 13:57Speaker 1: when you're looking at that photo, you see twenty nineteen,
- 13:59Speaker 1: that's a small list. When I was on the Titans
- 14:01Speaker 1: and they checked it out twenty twenty one where it
- 14:03Speaker 1: got barely any bigger. Now all the way to twenty
- 14:06Speaker 1: twenty six, I just got it. It has grown a
- 14:09Speaker 1: little bit. Yeah, now, I'll to say there's nothing to
- 14:12Speaker 1: worry about as of right now. Everything is the exact same, tests,
- 14:16Speaker 1: it out the same, My symptoms are fine, all of
- 14:19Speaker 1: these things. So where we're just gonna have to monitor it.
- 14:21Speaker 1: If it gets big enough, it's something to where I
- 14:23Speaker 1: could be a brain surgery candidate. But even when I'm
- 14:25Speaker 1: a brain surgery candidate, it's something you can go in
- 14:28Speaker 1: and kind of pop or drain like it's a water balloon.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Get it removed. Your boy's gonna be all good.
- 14:33Speaker 1: We're all good to go. It's brought us all the
- 14:35Speaker 1: way back to this moment. I broke that down for you,
- 14:38Speaker 1: because who knows if you guys were curious especially when
- 14:40Speaker 1: you see a scan come up and it's like, what
- 14:42Speaker 1: is going on with Willy see with Willy one shelf.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Here's what we've learned because dee did some research on
- 14:51Speaker 1: the internet, because when I was putting together wetting the bed,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm thinking, okay, appnea, people could be in the state
- 14:58Speaker 1: to where the communication from the brain and the can
- 15:01Speaker 1: shut off and I can feed the bed. But what
- 15:02Speaker 1: we learned with the cyst is that the cyst could
- 15:05Speaker 1: play a big factor in my communication from brain to bladder.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And now I legitimately feel like I have a soul
- 15:12Speaker 1: for why I've been why I'm what the bed yes
- 15:15Speaker 1: on occasion throughout my entire life, and where it's located
- 15:20Speaker 1: in the brain.
- 15:21Speaker 3: It sounded like from Deeck's research is that would make
- 15:25Speaker 3: perfect sense of Deek, are you.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Able to do you remember the breakdown? Okay, here's a word.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Did I have exactly what I googled and exactly what
- 15:33Speaker 4: I reiterated? So if there are doctors out there, medical
- 15:36Speaker 4: people where us ptn D. Yeah, yeah, So the thing
- 15:42Speaker 4: we have is yes, a brain cys can cause bed
- 15:44Speaker 4: wetting nocturnal in your cis as I'm sure and pronouncing
- 15:47Speaker 4: that wrong, especially if it grows large enough to increase
- 15:50Speaker 4: in track cranial pressure or disrupt the nerves or hormones
- 15:54Speaker 4: and regulate bladder function. Basically, it could be something in
- 15:57Speaker 4: your brain that is stopping the our traditional stall point
- 16:01Speaker 4: of our bladders, because we you know, God forbid, we
- 16:04Speaker 4: don't have brainsists like, there is logical explanation that a
- 16:06Speaker 4: brain syst could be the disruptor between your body holding
- 16:09Speaker 4: your bladder and your body just not knowing when to
- 16:12Speaker 4: pee or when not to be. So there is basic
- 16:15Speaker 4: and I mean this is from the National Institute of Health.
- 16:18Speaker 4: It's dot gov, which means it has to be when
- 16:20Speaker 4: you're a PhD.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It has to be.
- 16:22Speaker 4: I'm PhD dad. From all my Internet research, this is
- 16:27Speaker 4: the exact reason. Will Compton, what's the bed PhD gop.
- 16:30Speaker 1: This to me when you told me that I broke
- 16:32Speaker 1: it down because I got this brain MRI on Thursday,
- 16:36Speaker 1: I believer Friday morning I came into the shop or
- 16:39Speaker 1: this before Ney Bargatzi came on because I had the
- 16:42Speaker 1: di IV the little tape to stop the bleeding is
- 16:45Speaker 1: but we're breaking it down. I'm like, Fellas, this could
- 16:48Speaker 1: be a reason I went to bed, and then when
- 16:50Speaker 1: Deeke broke all that down, I'm like, oh buddy, and
- 16:53Speaker 1: shawshank redemption just getting out of the tunnel's rainfalling down
- 16:56Speaker 1: on my face like freedom because in my mind, I'm like,
- 17:00Speaker 1: this is this is the only explanation.
- 17:02Speaker 3: You're sitting there and I say this jokingly, but you
- 17:06Speaker 3: are sitting there thinking I'm just this big old goofist
- 17:11Speaker 3: that can't get it right with the wedding the bed. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 3: And I guess that that's just me, Will Compton. I'm
- 17:17Speaker 3: a PT pisser. I'm a PT pissar.
- 17:19Speaker 1: With no no answers as to wash you a couple
- 17:22Speaker 1: times a year where I pissed the bed and I
- 17:25Speaker 1: don't know it is what it is. I'm a pisser.
- 17:29Speaker 1: God own, Nay. Now we have answers. We have some answers.
- 17:36Speaker 3: And that was that was one hell of the thing
- 17:38Speaker 3: to have your boss come up to you as it's
- 17:40Speaker 3: a big day, Nate Bargazi or Bargezi's coming and uh,
- 17:45Speaker 3: you know, I gotta be on my p's and q's
- 17:47Speaker 3: and be locked in. And I walk in and you
- 17:50Speaker 3: have an armstrap already on you from your hospital.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Signaling that I'm a survivor.
- 17:56Speaker 3: You come up to me and go, we solve the
- 17:59Speaker 3: bed weddings. That was your opening line, you go, we
- 18:03Speaker 3: saw the bed wedding.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I legitimately I feel like we solved my bed.
- 18:11Speaker 3: We did, though, we did, and that was just an
- 18:14Speaker 3: incredible I'll always remember that quote from my boss of
- 18:16Speaker 3: walking into work and hey, we solved the bed wedding.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Because there was nobody that's like letting me know in
- 18:21Speaker 1: the comments that they got this issue. Yeah. I got
- 18:24Speaker 1: one here from Trevor John and says I shipped my
- 18:27Speaker 1: pants a couple of years ago. Hashtag pop a team shit.
- 18:29Speaker 1: He's trying to trying to come from me. Hey, I
- 18:31Speaker 1: ship my pants.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Tell him popping team shit. I would love to join that. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 3: last year I shipped my pants here at the office. Yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 3: popping team shit.
- 18:42Speaker 2: You guys are either just shitters, or you guys assist.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yeah, or you know some like Frank Frank Hall Uh
- 18:51Speaker 3: six six zero three was kind enough and honest enough
- 18:56Speaker 3: and bold enough to share with us, he said, Uh,
- 18:58Speaker 3: fellow PT piss member here. Been clean for about a
- 19:02Speaker 3: year or so, though I did regularly wear pull ups
- 19:06Speaker 3: to bed until about thirteen years old, very embarrassing. Deeke
- 19:12Speaker 3: followed up on the four of the dad's Oh you're
- 19:14Speaker 3: not alone. Frank's a dude, I feel you the diaper
- 19:19Speaker 3: that's my heart goes out to like I just pissed
- 19:23Speaker 3: through the underwear and the shorts and everything else. I
- 19:25Speaker 3: would have to I know, I know my man he
- 19:28Speaker 3: feared any time he did a sleepover. Yeah, nice looking
- 19:32Speaker 3: guy too in his photo. He's he's with his wife
- 19:35Speaker 3: and a very nice looking man.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Uh.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Deeke falls up on the with the ford of the
- 19:40Speaker 3: dad's account says any advice for Willie on overcoming this,
- 19:45Speaker 3: Frank instantly replied. Frank said, definitely watch the fluid intake
- 19:49Speaker 3: within two hours of going to bed. Would be uh,
- 19:53Speaker 3: one pt piss or to another's uh solve yeah for
- 19:58Speaker 3: the matter than you.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Because my man, he knows when he went to the
- 20:01Speaker 1: doctor at that young age where he was having those issues,
- 20:03Speaker 1: the doc would tell you, Hey, no kool aid or
- 20:05Speaker 1: anything after seven, which is a shot to the that's.
- 20:10Speaker 3: A shot to the heart. That's when you get your
- 20:12Speaker 3: last little caprice son. Dude, Oh I'm a little you're
- 20:16Speaker 3: taking my drinks away post seven pm.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Uh huh so I feel my man and he's right.
- 20:22Speaker 1: It's like, you know, not that I'm like thinking about it,
- 20:25Speaker 1: but I do, like, obviously I'm very minimal before going
- 20:28Speaker 1: to bed, like drinking water and everything.
- 20:30Speaker 3: My wife house is water before bed. She said, why
- 20:33Speaker 3: aren't you drinking water? I never say, but I'm like.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I already had some. Yeah, I already had something.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I don't want to be a long night.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm so good. I also very.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Quickly some housekeeping, some housekeeper before you do that.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I do have a question about beeing. If you're comfortable,
- 20:50Speaker 4: do you have dreams that you are peeing and then
- 20:53Speaker 4: you wake up to be peeing, because I've heard that.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Every now and then occasionally it'll be it'll be part
- 20:59Speaker 1: of it. But a lot of times, like when I
- 21:01Speaker 1: would wake up, you know, not this last one that
- 21:04Speaker 1: happened last weekend, where I'm like telling the world, like
- 21:07Speaker 1: I have what the bed that one?
- 21:08Speaker 2: I like, I just woke up and I'm like, holy shit.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Usually what happens is is I'm in a dream, and
- 21:15Speaker 1: it's usually like an intense dream, and I'll like kind
- 21:17Speaker 1: of like wake up like I'm fighting something, and then
- 21:20Speaker 1: I realized it's like I'm fighting my blood. I need
- 21:22Speaker 1: to hurry up, and I've just been sprinkling over the
- 21:25Speaker 1: past I don't know how long, but I've been like
- 21:27Speaker 1: sprinkling to where one side is a little wet.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And then I'll go, like.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I was saying last week, and I'll I'll examine or
- 21:34Speaker 1: audit is this too much to get back in bed
- 21:36Speaker 1: to where I need to change my underwear. It's usually
- 21:39Speaker 1: in the middle of the night, so I'll go to
- 21:40Speaker 1: the bathroom see if I need to change my underwear.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Sometimes I don't have to change mindwere it's a little
- 21:44Speaker 1: bit to where I just don't want to go through
- 21:45Speaker 1: the process and I want to hurry up and crawl
- 21:47Speaker 1: back in bed and go back to sleep. Yeah, that's
- 21:50Speaker 1: usually what happens. And again that's like a couple times
- 21:53Speaker 1: a year. It'll just happen. This last one was a
- 21:55Speaker 1: time where it was new to where I didn't I
- 22:00Speaker 1: didn't catch myself.
- 22:01Speaker 3: And will I forgot to tell this last time on
- 22:04Speaker 3: the suit and I'm actually a little bit upset about it.
- 22:07Speaker 3: To join you in the PT piss talk. I pissed
- 22:13Speaker 3: the bed my very first night in Nashville, and maybe
- 22:16Speaker 3: that was just me throwing out the bat signal to
- 22:19Speaker 3: you of like, I'm here, I'm here, it's your boys shirm.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I feel like this work thing's gonna work out. I'm
- 22:26Speaker 3: gonna love working at Bustle with the boys. Maybe I
- 22:28Speaker 3: pissed the bed a little bit.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's like the davatars and your ponytails are
- 22:33Speaker 1: your connect We're connect.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Connected and I uh, dude, I talked it up to
- 22:38Speaker 3: being exhausted. I had no idea what the reasoning for
- 22:42Speaker 3: that was, because I never do it.
- 22:45Speaker 2: And get your brain checked out.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of now I've got like no doc said.
- 22:52Speaker 1: The doc was telling me. He's like, look, man, you
- 22:54Speaker 1: have zero symptoms this you this even though it is bigger. Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 1: He's like, intelligence and rationality tells us this could continue
- 23:03Speaker 1: to grow, but it might not continue to grow. Oh
- 23:05Speaker 1: I'm just thinking, dude, it's grown each time. Now it's
- 23:07Speaker 1: been five years since my last start, all right, clearly
- 23:10Speaker 1: it's grown not like a lot more, but significantly more
- 23:13Speaker 1: than what it was. So I'm thinking this will continue
- 23:16Speaker 1: to grow. And he's like, the only time you're going
- 23:19Speaker 1: to know if we have to take that out, is
- 23:20Speaker 1: you're going to start just having symptoms. Whether it's balance.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Whether it's like you just get random headaches, and he's like,
- 23:27Speaker 1: if you're telling me you don't have any of those,
- 23:29Speaker 1: like everything else in your brain looks very clean. This
- 23:33Speaker 1: is just a it's just a like a water balloon
- 23:36Speaker 1: basically sitting in your brain. And he's like, it'll start
- 23:40Speaker 1: pressing up on things to where then you'll start feeling symptoms.
- 23:43Speaker 1: That's what we'll know. But if nothing's out of the ordinary.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Now I'm thinking, I wonder if that's like out of
- 23:47Speaker 1: the ordinary.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But if I'm not.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Pissing the bait consistently, I'm not thinking it's an ordinary thing.
- 23:53Speaker 1: That's just where I'm at. That's where I'm at on
- 23:55Speaker 1: the entire brain update. Appreciate the update.
- 24:01Speaker 3: And I will say this just so everybody in our
- 24:04Speaker 3: audience doesn't think all three of us, of Chef Deac
- 24:08Speaker 3: and I are solace. We are like, it's concerning. We're
- 24:12Speaker 3: worried for you.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but until something is to come up from
- 24:22Speaker 1: the sister's really nothing.
- 24:23Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, I just I have a system my brain.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yeah. So my wife's like, I need you to live
- 24:28Speaker 1: for a long time. I trust me, sweetheart. I want
- 24:30Speaker 1: to too.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Great idea, great idea.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yeah, like I got to go get a CTA scan
- 24:37Speaker 1: because he just wants the docs like, look, and I'm
- 24:39Speaker 1: not doing this because there's zero costs for concern. He's like,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I just want to be thorough and go through everything
- 24:44Speaker 1: that we can to make sure this is still just intact.
- 24:47Speaker 1: He's like, because again, man, you you have no symptoms
- 24:51Speaker 1: and everything on.
- 24:51Speaker 3: The MRI is clean. You just you just have assisted
- 24:54Speaker 3: in you. And I'm going to keep my eyes and
- 24:57Speaker 3: ears open. I'm not saying that like in a joking way,
- 25:00Speaker 3: like I will truly keep my eyes in yours up.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Please do If I notice anything, I'm gonna be like,
- 25:06Speaker 3: willy see, I just want to let you know.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Yeah, there's clearly a high there's clearly a highlight film
- 25:11Speaker 1: that you could put together of mental blunders that I've
- 25:15Speaker 1: had over the years. And hey, doc, let's doc, let's
- 25:18Speaker 1: just watch this montage, watch him do this math, watch
- 25:23Speaker 1: him not understand what sci fi is the right answer.
- 25:25Speaker 3: He's fine, Wait, no, doc, hold on, did you watch
- 25:28Speaker 3: the clip though?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Did you see how he got to We're gonna throwing
- 25:32Speaker 1: the ones where his brain kind of shuts off momentarily
- 25:35Speaker 1: during all of the podcasts that he's done.
- 25:38Speaker 2: You're telling me it's all good.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Doc, You're telling me everything's good. Yay, that's Willy. See
- 25:44Speaker 1: he's good. He's good.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Wait, like other people don't have that which other people do.
- 25:51Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Like I joke about like you're you know, like you
- 25:56Speaker 3: could call him willy and like your moments except by
- 26:00Speaker 3: if I did ever see something that was like concerning,
- 26:03Speaker 3: I would be like, yo, brother, like get checked out
- 26:06Speaker 3: because that is scary. You're like show me the mass
- 26:08Speaker 3: and being like everything's fine, and I'm like that looks
- 26:12Speaker 3: really scary.
- 26:14Speaker 5: It looks super scary. Is there any reason not to
- 26:17Speaker 5: get it removed? Like is there any like logical reasoning
- 26:21Speaker 5: that it's like that right now?
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, just get out of your head, even if it's
- 26:25Speaker 1: because it's nothing that's forming, Like the contrast MRI. You
- 26:29Speaker 1: do the contrast MRI and put the die in to
- 26:32Speaker 1: go up to your brain to see if anything like
- 26:33Speaker 1: lights up to where it could be tumorous or a
- 26:36Speaker 1: tumor could be forming. But nothing, nothing is telling them
- 26:40Speaker 1: that we have to get this cyst out of your
- 26:42Speaker 1: brain because it's not it's not like it's it's not common.
- 26:46Speaker 2: It's not uncommon.
- 26:46Speaker 1: It's like this is like, uh, like people have like
- 26:49Speaker 1: cysts in their brain, but some of them can form
- 26:51Speaker 1: and develop and do all these things to where you've
- 26:53Speaker 1: got to get it removed.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Do you have zero symptoms?
- 26:56Speaker 1: You have zero anything based on all the extra tests
- 26:58Speaker 1: that we've done that says like there's an issue going
- 27:01Speaker 1: on with this cysts, Like it's benign on the border
- 27:04Speaker 1: of the whole thing. Like as people see on the photo,
- 27:06Speaker 1: it's clean, it's intact. There's no like frame, there's nothing
- 27:09Speaker 1: that says like we need to look at this right
- 27:12Speaker 1: here in the cysts, so you need to do this skin,
- 27:15Speaker 1: you need to do that skin. Like everything's came back
- 27:17Speaker 1: to where it's like there's no reason to take this
- 27:19Speaker 1: out of your of your head. Like for him, it's
- 27:22Speaker 1: like surgery is the last thing we want to do.
- 27:25Speaker 3: And the only thing that's like keeping me from not
- 27:30Speaker 3: freaking out but like being overly worried about it.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Is just a kid that I went to high school.
- 27:34Speaker 3: With that had a massive cyst like by his knee,
- 27:39Speaker 3: and I mean he had it like all throughout height
- 27:43Speaker 3: or middle school, high school, and he was like, yeah,
- 27:45Speaker 3: the doctors said like, I don't need it to be removed,
- 27:49Speaker 3: so like it's just gonna stay there until it needs
- 27:52Speaker 3: to be removed. He put like smiley faces and stuff
- 27:55Speaker 3: on it, like with the sharpie, and it was just
- 27:58Speaker 3: kind of like, oh, yeah, he has this just.
- 28:00Speaker 1: On his knee. Yeah, because surgery in anything is like
- 28:04Speaker 1: the last line of defense face you have a torn
- 28:07Speaker 1: labor or you have a tear somewhere. It's like if
- 28:10Speaker 1: you can do things rehab wise, injection wise, things that
- 28:15Speaker 1: help bring it all back in tax so you don't
- 28:18Speaker 1: have to go under the so you don't have to
- 28:20Speaker 1: go under the knife. You want to do those things
- 28:22Speaker 1: before you even have to get If you don't have
- 28:24Speaker 1: to go on for surgery, there's no.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no urgency to go in for surgery.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I feel like brain surgery wouldn't be fun. But
- 28:32Speaker 1: it's sounds like saying brain surgery sounds scary. He's like,
- 28:36Speaker 1: if we ever have to go in, you'll get like
- 28:38Speaker 1: a like a little like a little hockey stick, you
- 28:41Speaker 1: know what's it called incision? Incision, a little hockey stick incision,
- 28:46Speaker 1: And we'll go in with a little needle and you'll
- 28:47Speaker 1: go up like it's you're draining it or poking and
- 28:49Speaker 1: we'll just get we'll get it out of there. But
- 28:51Speaker 1: that's when you start having symptoms or it's pressing up
- 28:53Speaker 1: on things in your brain towards clearly having an effect
- 28:56Speaker 1: on you. Right now, there's no you don't have any
- 28:59Speaker 1: of that.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Yeah, that's I was just thinking, like, as long as
- 29:03Speaker 5: it's not gonna be a Gary Woodland thing, which I
- 29:05Speaker 5: don't know if you know that story about the golfer
- 29:07Speaker 5: who that was actually really bad, but he had a
- 29:10Speaker 5: assist in his brain that was pushing totally different in
- 29:13Speaker 5: his cancers, but the same thing where he it was
- 29:16Speaker 5: starting to press parts of his brain.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It's actually a really cool, good perseverance story.
- 29:21Speaker 5: But uh yeah, And he was like a bunch of
- 29:23Speaker 5: things were coming out of that, so you had to
- 29:24Speaker 5: get it removed. I was making sure it wasn't they
- 29:26Speaker 5: weren't like, oh down the line, it could do that.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I get I know, I'll get a chef scan.
- 29:33Speaker 1: We're getting the chef scanned right now. He's wanted to
- 29:35Speaker 1: be throw as well. He said, I'm just making sure
- 29:36Speaker 1: my Yeah, I love you.
- 29:38Speaker 3: You're my boss. I want to make sure that I
- 29:40Speaker 3: have a job. There's a player to it too. I
- 29:46Speaker 3: will say this, we're talking about brain issues. What about
- 29:49Speaker 3: merch issues. What if you're a merch issue and you're like,
- 29:53Speaker 3: who do I go to for that? Yes, you're going
- 29:56Speaker 3: to at bw TB.
- 30:00Speaker 1: An X. It's but what was it called? My god?
- 30:04Speaker 3: If you're mer issues at BWTB store, No.
- 30:10Speaker 1: You're fine.
- 30:11Speaker 3: As I read, I didn't notice it until I was
- 30:13Speaker 3: reading it, I was like, that doesn't sound right.
- 30:15Speaker 1: First things first, if you're having merch issues, meaning you
- 30:17Speaker 1: need you need merch BWTV, dot com b the others
- 30:22Speaker 1: that merches out. If you're having merch, if you're having

- 35:26Speaker 2: Well you're in the safe space.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Jilly Bean was like, Hey, for your birthday, I want
- 35:31Speaker 3: you to sleep in till the cows come home, like
- 35:34Speaker 3: you wake up when you wake up.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Your boy woke up really late.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah really late.
- 35:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Because I tried to hit him a few different times.
- 35:43Speaker 2: She just to tell him happy Birthday, to.
- 35:44Speaker 3: The point where he texted me he goes crazy, I'm
- 35:46Speaker 3: not getting a call back.
- 35:47Speaker 1: What's going on? It was like one thirty at this
- 35:49Speaker 1: time or one o'clock at this time, because I hit him.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I think I called him. It's in my calendar. I
- 35:54Speaker 1: see insurance birthday. I was like, let me give the
- 35:55Speaker 1: old boy a call. It was about eight fifty one
- 35:57Speaker 1: in the morning. Call no answer, and I spot people
- 36:01Speaker 1: started hitting in the group chat happy birthday, Shrom So
- 36:03Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah, reminder, I haven't got to talk
- 36:04Speaker 1: to him yet. Call him again. Nothing, Call him again.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I think I saw Shreim start responding, so I called
- 36:09Speaker 1: him again. Nothing, and like, what's going on with my guy?
- 36:14Speaker 3: Slept until twelve fifteen, slept in until twelve fifteen. Jill,
- 36:22Speaker 3: Jill just let me go, and I never woke up
- 36:25Speaker 3: until twelve fifteen to the point, and I wasn't upset
- 36:29Speaker 3: with Jill, but I was kind of like, yo, shit,
- 36:33Speaker 3: like the gone here goes by day like, And I
- 36:39Speaker 3: wasn't bummed out, but I was kind of like, I mean,
- 36:42Speaker 3: I and this sounds so like most dads are, like
- 36:45Speaker 3: do you know what I would pay to be able
- 36:47Speaker 3: to sleep in like that. I love that I slept
- 36:50Speaker 3: in like that, and that was such a gracious gift
- 36:52Speaker 3: that Jill gave me. But I also was pissed at
- 36:55Speaker 3: myself of like what was I doing. It's not like
- 36:58Speaker 3: we stayed up crazy late. We did a movie night. Yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 3: I was probably like a sleep by eleven thirty, you know,
- 37:05Speaker 3: which is kind of late for us, but not like
- 37:08Speaker 3: a two o'clock back.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Yeah, sleeping the twelve is like you're staying up till
- 37:12Speaker 1: three or four in the morning. Oh yeah, yes, I'm
- 37:15Speaker 1: sitting here. You're like, I know Dad would be like,
- 37:16Speaker 1: I'd love to be able to sleep. My brain's going
- 37:19Speaker 1: I don't know if I could sleep that late.
- 37:20Speaker 3: And I usually there's not a shot dude, you put
- 37:24Speaker 3: in over twelve hours. Yes, And I will say I
- 37:28Speaker 3: did wake up at seven ish, but like I knew that.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Jill was like, hey, you know you sleep in. So
- 37:35Speaker 3: I wake up at like seven, I go pee, shout out, poppetine,
- 37:39Speaker 3: piss and got back in bed and then I was
- 37:43Speaker 3: out till twelve.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Like I'm thinking, if I'm Jilly Bean, I'm coming in
- 37:46Speaker 1: there around like ten thirty. Like, hey, I know, I
- 37:48Speaker 1: told you you can sleep in, but it's twelve thirty.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's Scarlet's eating lung. We've all eaten lunch.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yeah, no, they've lived a whole day. I think it's
- 37:57Speaker 3: my birthday. So it's also like kind of a bummer
- 37:59Speaker 3: to me, cause I'm.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Like, I have my birthdays. God, yeah, Like what am
- 38:04Speaker 1: I doing?
- 38:05Speaker 3: And so I get up and I'm a grumpy boy
- 38:07Speaker 3: because of that. Like I was genuinely a grumpy boy
- 38:10Speaker 3: because I was like, I never do that, damn it.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Where did my day go? But then I hear the
- 38:17Speaker 3: mowing outside, and I go, oh my god, I did
- 38:21Speaker 3: check the forecast, and I did see that like Sunday
- 38:25Speaker 3: morning to like one pm was the only time where
- 38:29Speaker 3: it wasn't gonna rain for like the next week.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And I hear a.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Neighbor mowing, not my hot neighbor, but a neighbor mowing,
- 38:38Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, I meant to do that, but
- 38:41Speaker 3: I still got a puppy proof my fence.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I haven't even done that.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Wifey is Jill's like, don't puppy proof your fence on
- 38:48Speaker 3: your birthday?
- 38:49Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 38:50Speaker 3: I'm like, well, we can't have the puppies in the backyard.
- 38:52Speaker 3: If we don't puppy proof the fence, we gotta do it.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I go out into the backyard, I run into uh,
- 39:01Speaker 3: everyone's favorite neighbor. Of course, he's hanging out in the
- 39:04Speaker 3: backyard with his daughter. She was putting on a concert
- 39:07Speaker 3: to her stuffed animals, had a little Britney spears. Mike
- 39:10Speaker 3: hooked up. He's being dad of the year. I just
- 39:13Speaker 3: woke up at twelve pm.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yay, So I'm you're ready to go, You're I'm ready
- 39:19Speaker 1: to go a fence.
- 39:19Speaker 2: I'm beaty fixed.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he's watching me fix a fence and he's not
- 39:24Speaker 3: saying a word, not saying a word about it. We're
- 39:28Speaker 3: just talking as I'm doing the fence. Well, Jill comes
- 39:31Speaker 3: out and says, it's my birthday. I'd not told neighbor
- 39:34Speaker 3: Blake that was my birthday. And Blake goes, whoa, whoa
- 39:37Speaker 3: is your birthday? I'm like, yeah, what are you doing
- 39:40Speaker 3: for your birthday? We're going to go to a restaurant.
- 39:43Speaker 3: We don't really know yet. Well, how are you going
- 39:46Speaker 3: to go to a restaurant if you're doing the Buddy
- 39:48Speaker 3: here goes to his truck and starts pulling out stuff
- 39:51Speaker 3: and he's like, we're going to do this together, and
- 39:53Speaker 3: we get knocked out in thirty minutes though, start doing
- 39:56Speaker 3: your birthday. Oh blake, you've already helped me too much much,
- 40:00Speaker 3: Like you gotta stop, dude, Like you're so kind, but
- 40:04Speaker 3: I feel bad at this point. So I went, he's.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Making you feel worse at this point.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I went.
- 40:09Speaker 3: I got three cold ones, got some three bud lights,
- 40:12Speaker 3: three neutrals, brought him out.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I was like, I gotta pay you in.
- 40:16Speaker 3: This, and he's like that's a hey, that's a nice
- 40:18Speaker 3: little ransom there. I like that helps me at the fence.
- 40:21Speaker 3: We knock it out in maybe twenty minutes, like truly,
- 40:25Speaker 3: like really kind of saved the day. But the mowing
- 40:29Speaker 3: is the dad loss to you, because now we fast
- 40:31Speaker 3: forward to Tuesday and it's a monsoon outside. Yeah, tomorrow monsoon,
- 40:37Speaker 3: the next day monsoon, And I'm looking at all the
- 40:40Speaker 3: yards and all the dad's mode on Sundays, dude, and
- 40:44Speaker 3: my yard looks it is starting to look like a jungle.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Sure.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Even better news, the Monday Tuesday next week that was
- 40:51Speaker 5: supposed to be clear has now started to being upgraded
- 40:54Speaker 5: to more thunderstorms.

- 46:25Speaker 1: you're writing cats. Okay, a rebel. But it was awesome.
- 46:30Speaker 1: It's just crazy how the years flown by. I still
- 46:33Speaker 1: remember all the emotions, like dropping her off, when we
- 46:35Speaker 1: dropped her off at school. Then my wife's tearing up.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I'm kind of holding her. We're just both kind of
- 46:39Speaker 1: sat together. You see her little you see your little
- 46:42Speaker 1: uh little body walk in school. Now she's coming out.
- 46:45Speaker 1: She just looks a little bit different, older, she's so
- 46:49Speaker 1: sweet all the emotions.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Man, it hit closer to home for me because I
- 46:55Speaker 3: quite literally edited the video of her first day at school. Yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 3: that was afore the dad's clip. Yeah, and I got
- 47:02Speaker 3: all those old pictures from your carousel of that first
- 47:05Speaker 3: day of school. So I know those pictures like pretty
- 47:08Speaker 3: well because I've worked with them for probably like an
- 47:10Speaker 3: hour thirty minutes and made that little clip. Now I'm
- 47:13Speaker 3: seeing this other thing where I see all of a sudden,
- 47:16Speaker 3: this young lady holding this same board all by herself,
- 47:20Speaker 3: doesn't need dad ads next to her in the pic.
- 47:22Speaker 1: I'm like, who's this? Yeah, Oh my gosh, she looks
- 47:26Speaker 1: like a like a little girl man, just growing up
- 47:29Speaker 1: and like.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Smiling, like she's always been a good smiler. Yeah, and
- 47:33Speaker 3: photos and y'all like taught her that very well, but like.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Or she's like some island.
- 47:37Speaker 3: She's got like intensionally smiling. Now I'm like, oh man,
- 47:43Speaker 3: she's growing up, dude.
- 47:45Speaker 2: And she was excited.
- 47:45Speaker 1: But also it's like the last day, so it's like, oh,
- 47:47Speaker 1: you know, Dadda was feeling both happy and sad the
- 47:50Speaker 1: last days of school because then you don't get to
- 47:51Speaker 1: see your friends, like you won't get to see you
- 47:53Speaker 1: want get to see your friends for the summer. Oh,
- 47:55Speaker 1: she's doing some camps, like she's going to do things
- 47:56Speaker 1: to where she's around them. Oh, what's she doing in
- 47:59Speaker 1: the summer. Yeah, yeah, there'll be like a summer camp
- 48:01Speaker 1: that she's gonna do. We got her in a few
- 48:03Speaker 1: different things throughout the because you still got to have
- 48:05Speaker 1: you know, she's now she's like back at the house right,
- 48:07Speaker 1: So it's not like I'm up in the morning during
- 48:10Speaker 1: that seven fifteen eight fifteen window.
- 48:12Speaker 2: I wasn't making lunch this morning. She's kind of like
- 48:15Speaker 2: a nice little dad.
- 48:16Speaker 1: W you could have like a slower morning, go up,
- 48:18Speaker 1: wake up, slower with her, bring her down. Mom made
- 48:21Speaker 1: pancakes this morning for because she knew she'd love having pancakes.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'd go up.
- 48:24Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, mama's got a surprise for you.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Hey what brand?
- 48:27Speaker 3: Like shout out no free, shout out the brand of
- 48:30Speaker 3: pancake mix.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Yoh, I don't know. She Charle hasn't like a container,
- 48:34Speaker 1: but like Charle makes them if it's if it's mine,
- 48:37Speaker 1: Like if I'm making pancake, pake pancakes.
- 48:40Speaker 2: I usually do.
- 48:42Speaker 1: What's the one that has It's like it's got like
- 48:44Speaker 1: the protein in and everything else.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Oh with the bear yeah Kodak Yeah yeah, yeah yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 3: Kodak cakes. So they're their pancake mix Kodaks.
- 48:55Speaker 1: But Charle makes them. She's got her own little concoction
- 48:59Speaker 1: good root us in summertime. Ode now her first like
- 49:02Speaker 1: summer you know what I mean. You got some vacations
- 49:05Speaker 1: lined up. We're gonna go to the beach.
- 49:06Speaker 3: You gotta watch High School Musical two with her?
- 49:08Speaker 1: Dude? Do you ever writ high School Musical? I did not, Dude,
- 49:12Speaker 1: I've always been I've been a closet hater.
- 49:16Speaker 4: On musicals based off your like indie film takes that
- 49:23Speaker 4: you would be a closet musical hater.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Have you ever seen a musical that you like?
- 49:29Speaker 4: Probably the reason I ask His Book of Mormon is
- 49:32Speaker 4: coming to town. It's written by the South Park creators.
- 49:34Speaker 4: It's like the best musical ever. It's the funny, it's
- 49:36Speaker 4: the hardest I think I've ever laughed at a live performance.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Have you ever seen one in person? I've not seen
- 49:41Speaker 1: one in person. Maybe I've been to a play or something.
- 49:44Speaker 1: They're singing I don't know if that. Go watch one
- 49:48Speaker 1: in person.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Maybe I have exist can't.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Remember Hamilton rips, but yeah, go see Book of Mormon
- 49:54Speaker 4: in person.
- 49:55Speaker 1: No, Ti, Nutcracker, that's that's a ballet. Ballets and musical.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Nope, well diffy lill diffy, but same kind of same
- 50:05Speaker 3: kind of dancing, like American football and flag football.
- 50:09Speaker 1: It's like, okay, yeah, cousins.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Hey, I am not a musical guy. I was hamming
- 50:15Speaker 3: it up there off camera, acting like I was like
- 50:19Speaker 3: very upset by this. I'm not super upset. I do
- 50:22Speaker 3: love a good little hairspray. I do love a good
- 50:25Speaker 3: little Book of Mormon. I do love the high school
- 50:30Speaker 3: musical movies. That's a bit more nostalgic because I was
- 50:32Speaker 3: truly in high school as those were coming out. But
- 50:36Speaker 3: high School Musical too, dude, is like it takes place
- 50:39Speaker 3: in the summer and just rips.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Dude. They're just real trilogy one.
- 50:43Speaker 4: They're obviously like he wants to be a basketball player
- 50:45Speaker 4: and he wants to be in the musical, which that
- 50:48Speaker 4: was me in high school.
- 50:48Speaker 1: So I love those.
- 50:49Speaker 4: News is in between junior year and senior year, they
- 50:52Speaker 4: all go and get jobs at a country club. So
- 50:54Speaker 4: all the characters go and have their summer three is
- 50:57Speaker 4: their senior year.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Where they come high school.
- 50:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she would love she would, and that's why
- 51:02Speaker 3: I bring it up. She would go Craig Cray And
- 51:06Speaker 3: as far as like stuff that your daughter's crazy about
- 51:09Speaker 3: that you have to sit on the couch and also
- 51:12Speaker 3: enjoy high school musical.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Ain't that bad man?
- 51:15Speaker 3: You'll You'll be sitting there and be like, hey, that
- 51:17Speaker 3: Efron kid really had it back in the note Where
- 51:21Speaker 3: do you like me some Fron?
- 51:22Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I mean he crushes dude. I'll get into
- 51:26Speaker 1: the musicals, Yeah, dude. I have been a low key
- 51:29Speaker 1: hater on musicals, but it's it's more of just like
- 51:33Speaker 1: my resistance. Yeah, what about with you? You liked Wicked? Yeah,
- 51:36Speaker 1: that music that's a musical. So would like Frozen and
- 51:42Speaker 1: like some of those Disney movies be considered musicals because
- 51:44Speaker 1: I'm singing songs like.
- 51:46Speaker 5: He's not like one hundred, it's not pure blood if
- 51:48Speaker 5: we're going Harry Potter's terms.
- 51:49Speaker 1: But the music parts happen unless it's like a banger
- 51:53Speaker 1: and I'm like, I love this song. I think part
- 51:54Speaker 1: of me is like a why we got to break
- 51:56Speaker 1: this up and sing a song right now, like I
- 51:57Speaker 1: need to get to the next scene where we break
- 51:59Speaker 1: down this drama.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, Frozen is probably the one Dissey movie that
- 52:04Speaker 3: I thought that the pacing wise, now we're really breaking
- 52:07Speaker 3: down movies. But I love that they're able to weave
- 52:11Speaker 3: the storytelling with the song songs of everything.
- 52:15Speaker 4: Yeah, Hamilton too, it's on Disney Plus the Wrap. It's
- 52:19Speaker 4: about the Founding Fathers kicking Britain's ass.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Okay, I'm about Founding Fathers beating some ass.
- 52:25Speaker 1: But we can go back to summer time. Hey. I
- 52:30Speaker 1: love that we beat them like a drum.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I can celebrate that it was Memorial Day. Yeah, get
- 52:39Speaker 3: back to summer though. I'm sorry I segued us with
- 52:42Speaker 3: the musical two.
- 52:44Speaker 1: That's basically it. We got some vacations plan We're gonna
- 52:46Speaker 1: go to Italy and Argentina. We got a little beach
- 52:48Speaker 1: one planned.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Yo.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Yeah, bro, we are fired up. We try and do
- 52:52Speaker 2: like we do our best.
- 52:55Speaker 1: We we didn't last summer, but try and like do
- 52:57Speaker 1: something out of the country. My wife, she is her
- 53:00Speaker 1: number one core value that I think about with her
- 53:03Speaker 1: is like adventurous. She is somebody that just gets me
- 53:05Speaker 1: out of my comfort. She's going. Yeah, very adventurous, likes
- 53:08Speaker 1: going places, like seeing the world, but she tries to put
- 53:12Speaker 1: on the radar, like living somewhere for a little bit.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Oh oh baby, are you going to what was it
- 53:16Speaker 1: called Buenos Aires? Is that Argentina?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Buddy, don't that is argent don't the capital. Don't do
- 53:23Speaker 2: that stuff.
- 53:24Speaker 3: Are you going to like some coastal I'm sure Argentina
- 53:26Speaker 3: is just Italy.
- 53:27Speaker 1: We're going to Venice traveling with the kiddos, just be
- 53:30Speaker 1: us four. Yeah, so Scotty will be Scotti will be
- 53:34Speaker 1: a demon on the travel. Marty prepared for middally fitness
- 53:37Speaker 1: is gonna rip.
- 53:39Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 53:39Speaker 2: We're excited, bro, we're.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Oh, but ald to say like, uh, yeah, we had
- 53:45Speaker 1: our last day of school.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Four years old.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Time is flying, Time is flying, Time is flying.
- 53:51Speaker 3: We have our first family Vaca coming up as well.
- 53:56Speaker 3: By the way, with uh, we're going to Florida. We're
- 53:58Speaker 3: going to We're going to Italy.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Yeah, thirty eight.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to thirty A. We're going to thirty A.
- 54:04Speaker 3: My grandmother is from She was born in Blue Mountain Beach,
- 54:08Speaker 3: so she is actually from that area. I grew up
- 54:10Speaker 3: she lived in Greaton Beach for the longest time, so
- 54:13Speaker 3: I grew up going there.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I hear a lot of positive things of Greaton Beach.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Oh will it's the best there and it's the best
- 54:20Speaker 3: kept secret because it's surrounded by a national park. So
- 54:24Speaker 3: it will never turn into not that all the rest
- 54:27Speaker 3: of thirty eight. What it's turned into is bad. It
- 54:30Speaker 3: will never get to that side. That one's like what
- 54:31Speaker 3: fifteen minutes outside of like the thirty A. Oh, you're
- 54:35Speaker 3: three minutes from Watercolor. I mean it's right down the
- 54:38Speaker 3: road from Seaside and water Color.
- 54:40Speaker 2: There last year.
- 54:41Speaker 1: If you blave breakfast tacos Red Bar? Have you ever
- 54:45Speaker 1: been to Red Bar?
- 54:46Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know.
- 54:47Speaker 3: I have to look back at my not going to
- 54:49Speaker 3: be that guy, But if you've been to Red Bar,
- 54:51Speaker 3: you would you would know Red Bar is so sick.
- 54:56Speaker 3: My childhood was going to Greaton Beach. I learned to
- 55:03Speaker 3: skinboard there. I learned to catch crabs there and cook
- 55:06Speaker 3: crabs that we caught, and boiled peanuts and crawfish, and
- 55:12Speaker 3: like it was just such a memory maker machine for me.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Uh And the fact that I'm getting to like introduce
- 55:20Speaker 3: my daughter to that dude I'm so stoked. And it's
- 55:24Speaker 3: for the fourth of July because their birthday is the third.
- 55:28Speaker 1: They have fireworks going. Man is Red Bar connected to
- 55:31Speaker 1: like a little breakfast coffee.
- 55:33Speaker 3: There is a sleepy little breakfast coffee spot down there.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Because I think that's the building that we were in
- 55:39Speaker 1: because Red Bar Red Bar was just like next door,
- 55:42Speaker 1: Like do they have like these pirate figurines they like
- 55:45Speaker 1: sitting about? Yes, dude, yes, you've you've probably one hundred percent.
- 55:49Speaker 2: It wasn't open yet.
- 55:50Speaker 1: We were there in the morning for the breakfast spot
- 55:52Speaker 1: that was next door. Phenomenal breakfast.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, brother, great, you would love great and great Beach.
- 56:00Speaker 1: That's where that's where Kurt Benkert is, Yes, the quarterback
- 56:05Speaker 1: play with the Packers now has the dime left football.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Because I've seen in his videos. There's a lake there
- 56:12Speaker 3: is where my grandmother's neighborhood, where her house used to be.
- 56:17Speaker 1: In that lake.
- 56:18Speaker 3: There's only like fourteen of them in the nation that
- 56:21Speaker 3: feed into the ocean. And when the ocean water in
- 56:25Speaker 3: the lake water mix, it's called brackish water, and it's
- 56:29Speaker 3: kind of like this light kind of brown water. It's
- 56:32Speaker 3: got really cool sea life and trees that grow around
- 56:37Speaker 3: there where the trees really only grow in that certain
- 56:40Speaker 3: part of the world. But in Kurt Benkert's video, I
- 56:44Speaker 3: saw the brackish water like bleeding into the ocean in.
- 56:47Speaker 1: One of them.
- 56:48Speaker 3: I was like, that looks like greaton Yeah, yeah, I
- 56:50Speaker 3: think he's out there. Which, yeah, we'll be there. We'll
- 56:53Speaker 3: be there in early June, so we will. I was
- 56:55Speaker 3: kind of wondering. I was like, are you going to
- 56:56Speaker 3: be the same time you're going to Italy?
- 56:59Speaker 1: Italy?
- 57:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Florida.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Yeah, dang dude, Yeah, we'll be a July third.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 3: I am so looking forward to that, man, I can't
- 57:07Speaker 3: wait to just That's kind of my lesson of.
- 57:09Speaker 1: The week too, is.
- 57:12Speaker 3: Just creating uh, memories, but creating traditions. I feel like
- 57:18Speaker 3: you have done such a good job of that. And
- 57:21Speaker 3: we're going into the first year of Scarlett's consciousness, of
- 57:26Speaker 3: her being aware of her surroundings, and I'm really wanting
- 57:30Speaker 3: to start those traditions with her.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but dude, they ripped the lesson.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Oh just rip it now, since we're ritten now, I'll
- 57:36Speaker 1: rip it because you're right. I mean, you're one hundred
- 57:39Speaker 1: percent right on the traditions and no matter how it's
- 57:41Speaker 1: like Scotty now, like we obviously do pizza Friday every week. Yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 1: but Scotty when she gets done and she loves pizza, well,
- 57:48Speaker 1: she gets done.
- 57:48Speaker 2: She's such just a busy body, has to be everywhere.
- 57:51Speaker 1: You gotta you gotta watch it all times. Like we
- 57:54Speaker 1: were watching Trolls last week. Troulls, phenomenal movie. Trolls is
- 57:58Speaker 1: a great man, but Ru's locked in, and you know,
- 58:00Speaker 1: we're hopeful that Scotty eventually gets the point where she
- 58:02Speaker 1: sits and like watch the movie versus wanting to climb
- 58:04Speaker 1: all over the couch and run all over the couch
- 58:06Speaker 1: to where she could tip over. And you always just
- 58:08Speaker 1: got to kind of put a border up arounder, whether
- 58:10Speaker 1: it's with my legs or I'm kind of washing her
- 58:11Speaker 1: while I'm trying to watch the movie. Just at all
- 58:14Speaker 1: times about Scotty, can you please calm down? Yeah, she'll
- 58:18Speaker 1: be in this mode where she just starts yelling her
- 58:19Speaker 1: like because she's just playing and having fun. Yes, and
- 58:23Speaker 1: like dude, can you just relax or can we put
- 58:26Speaker 1: you back in the chair?
- 58:27Speaker 2: You put her back in the church.
- 58:27Speaker 1: You just start screaming and yelling she's got to get out.
- 58:29Speaker 1: She's just a busy body. Yeah, those weekly traditions, it's
- 58:32Speaker 1: like you're just trying to get him in the mode.
- 58:35Speaker 2: But dude, it's uh we love it, man, Oh we
- 58:39Speaker 2: love it.
- 58:39Speaker 1: The next word.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Neighbor family do chalk drawing contests between the mom and
- 58:45Speaker 3: the dad and the oldest daughter.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Oh I like that.
- 58:48Speaker 3: And so they do contests and they have like a
- 58:50Speaker 3: different thing that they draw each time, and they take
- 58:53Speaker 3: it like seriously. They don't just give it to the
- 58:55Speaker 3: daughter like they don't. Yeah, and she's like seven or
- 58:58Speaker 3: eight fourger and fire. Yeah, oh, you are just gonna
- 59:01Speaker 3: win this competition. They're like, Okay, it's a unicorn. Here's
- 59:03Speaker 3: what we're doing. Blah blah blah.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I like that.
- 59:05Speaker 3: And because our kids like doing chalk, yeah, dude, and
- 59:08Speaker 3: they it was like so fun hearing her talk about like, yeah,
- 59:13Speaker 3: mom won unicorn, but her t rex was awful the
- 59:16Speaker 3: other day, Like my t rex absolutely destroyed hers. She
- 59:20Speaker 3: didn't even know what a t rex looked like, Like
- 59:22Speaker 3: Sunday chill out.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that, man.
- 59:26Speaker 3: But those old traditions and stuff, Dude, as I'm seeing
- 59:29Speaker 3: them and as i'm hearing about them from like you,
- 59:32Speaker 3: or hearing about gardening that Taylor does with his family,
- 59:35Speaker 3: like all the gardening that they've started doing together. I'm like, dude,
- 59:39Speaker 3: I want to start doing like ripping something with Scarlet
- 59:42Speaker 3: and I just I wrote down, home is where the
- 59:44Speaker 3: heart is, I said, our new house is another opportunity
- 59:48Speaker 3: for new traditions, new memories to create. My family moved
- 59:52Speaker 3: to a small town of Alito outside of Fort Worth,
- 59:55Speaker 3: Texas when I was nine or ten. I was super
- 59:58Speaker 3: sad to leave the house I was brought up in.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: But my parents did such a good job of making
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: the new home feel like our new home. New traditions
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: of hitting up the snow cone stand on our drives
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: home from school, my dad putting a deer feeder in
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: our backyard so we could see wildlife on early mornings,
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: finding our new local spots that we would get excited
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: to go eat at together as a family. All those
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: little things that it's just like the little things that
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: make home home.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like the core memories of it all. It's
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: like when you have tradition, when you're doing like family traditions,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: it's you guys are all deciding as a tribe as
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: a family, Like, this is how we show up as
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: a family on these traditions. Yes, So it's like it's
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: always a bummer if I have to miss a PiZZ
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: of Friday because we travel somewhere. Because you want them
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: to know, like as Scarlett grows up and you guys
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: have a weekly tradition whatever it is, Yeah, you just
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: know in your brain foundationally, like this is how we
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: show up as a family for this tradition.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Me like waking up super early for whatever sport practice.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: It's like, and the sun.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Isn't even remotely rising, and my dad's just by the
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: kitchen window. Hey look there's a little six point He'll
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: be good in two years.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: You look and look at all those little does and.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Stuff, And I'll always remember that all those like little
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: moments and little things of like magic that my parents created. Yeah,
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: like stuff, And I'm excited that this is like the
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: first year that we're getting to do that. So we're
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: gonna go to Old Navy and get like the real
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: I say, gaudy and corny because like they kind of
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: are like the Fourth of July shirts that they come
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: out with, Yeah, like their Fourth of July shirts and
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: we're getting matching ones.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: For the entire family.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: My mom and dad are gonna be there in thirty
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: a and we're all gonna have the matching old Navy shirts.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Scarlet's gonna have one little family pick on the beach.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: You have to, it's a must. Sounds like, and this
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: is just leunging you as a friend.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: You were frustrated to you didn't get to use your
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: creative acumen for Mother's Day. That could be a Sherman
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: Young original shirt that you make with the family because
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: you are too creative to go to a store and biocraft.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Hey that's hey, that's a really really good note.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: He had ones that said red, white, and blue because
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: our last name was white, and yeah, Chip Chip still
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: wears this to this day, saying that's really good.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: I kind of just got a little I got a
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: little goosebumps picture.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Scarlett invite one of her friends one day to that's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: what you guys do for your Fourth of July tradition,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: and like, look, you're gonna be with the fam. Like
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: my dad, he always makes a he always makes a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: shirt every year. Yeah, so we're gonna have to wear
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the shirt. You're gonna have to wear it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: You're gonna have to buy in, and Scarlett, I don't
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: know if you can invite Bethany because Bethany wasn't very
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: pro everything that I was scarting's not.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Going to a matter of fact, Skol is not gonna
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: be the one that says you have to buy in.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: It's gonna be you. Age. You tell Bethany we kind
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: of do Fourth of July, like she's gonna have to
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: wear have to wear Pappa shirms shirt.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Get God, honey, get Bethany's get her hat size and
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: her shirt size too at school today so I could
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: go ahead and I want to get her, you know,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I want to.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Get her the shirt and she's not gonna do it.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: But when Bethany comes over on the weekend, like, hey,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I don't know if my daughter, I don't know if
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Scarscar ran this through you, But can I get your
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: hat size and shoe size? How can we do this thing?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: How was the Young's house? Honey?
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I was good, mister Young, like kept on asking, like
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: what my shoe size was, what my shirt size wise,
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: what my hat size wise? I don't know what it's
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: all for. You just kept on saying you're gonna love
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: fourth at July, I don't know.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: You'd be holding up just probably you girls. You guys
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: are gonna love these outfits. Your old man's coming up with.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Put his hat on.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Hey, do the little snap so where it's comfortable.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: You don't want it to get close to each other.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Let that take a photo of you.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Oh, you guys are gonna wear these outfits. You guys
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: gonna have these your clauses forever. Oh my god, this
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: is gonna beautiful.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Right when we're done with the brons, we're gonna go
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: into snakes and sparkless. Are more of a snake's girl
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: or a sparkless girl. Hooks and lettice time, hooks and
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: lettice time guy that around the table. I can't wait
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: for that, Like I truly cannot wait to be like
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: the nerdy, embarrassing dad that is like pushing all this
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: stuff onto his kids.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Oh it's the thirty get your smoke bomb. Oh in
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: the in the fireworks.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Before fourth of July, I told myself that I'm gonna
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: tell Scarlet that because there's always the the guys that
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: they just get they can't hold it. They gotta shoot
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: them at you know. Ten thirty July third eleven o'clock
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: July third, they start shooting the early fireworks.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Even the daytime one, even in the daytime, go chase
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: the parachute.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell her that those are her birthday fireworks
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: before fourth of July.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: The July third one.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Yeah, where the guys that are out there a little
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: too early. I'm gonna say those are hers, and she'll
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: get today age or she goes dad, those aren't. That's
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: just some guy that's had a couple of lollipops and
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: was looking to.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Shoot some fine sparkless.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Get your sparkled, draw.
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: Your name, do your name if you do it.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Wrong, my god, you're doing it.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Let me get the video.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: And she's got braces and a pony telling me so pissed.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: One day, Oh you mind? You mind doing this again?
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I want to get a video at that, Dad, I
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: don't want to. Can you just can you please? It's
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: for your month? I love you so much. When do
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I ever ask you to do anything? Yeah, twenty minutes
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: ago when you told me to put this hat and
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: shirt on, okay, told me sold me. But I dude,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I can't wait for that. I'm just I'm elated. Oh yeah,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I love the traditions. Off, I had a buddy, you'd
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: go over to his house and if I was invited
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: over to stay on the weekend, like Sunday. Sunday morning
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: before church was like pancakes. They always did pancakes. It'd
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: be eat as many as you can't be, like a competition. Pancake,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: eatie pancakes every Sunday, whether it's chalk, whether it's pancakes,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: whether it's pizza Friday, like those weekly traditions.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Like you'd be.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: Falling asleep in the pews too. Sure gets so many
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: freaking pancakes and syrup.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: He is. They were Pentecostal too, like you know the Pentecostal,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: these tongues they run around. I'm thinking, what the hell's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: going on here? You weren't no wonder. They're carmelooning for
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: the show. They're like, hey, you're gonna be moving will Yeah,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you know, I bulk up just what they was passing
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: out so much?
- 1:06:37Speaker 9: You throw.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: So much pancakes and in syrup. Oh my god, dude.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: A two year note. Though I love the idea of
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: the creative thing, I'm gonna do airbrush hats because I
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: like the concept of the old Navy matching shirts because
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: it's very like going to Sears and like taking a
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: fit family photo and sears kind of like I just
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: remember everyone in the nineties would always get the old
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Navy or the gap like Fourth of July shirts, and
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: like nobody's doing that anymore, and so I love that aspect.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: But I'll do you airbrush hats one great call and
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: have each person's name like on the airbrush hat with
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: like an American flag like across the whole thing.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: You know they'll be good, dude.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Dad hacks, Dad hacks. Crack a cold one, crack
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: a coal one.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I get crack a coal one. That's I need a
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: fresh one.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I'll get you a fresh because we were.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Classic great bear go blood.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: By one of these new ones.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: Hopefully I tried to give it a nice spin instead
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: of a.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: One this week brought to us by Alipop. Here we
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: go about not to the doc. That's normal, We're good,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: my critical one. I think I've shouted this out before,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: but it's ruined Scottie. There the bedtime Scotty is now
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: to a point. Like yesterday, Mom and Rue went after dinner.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Mom and Rue went to go get ice cream, and
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: I went to take Scotti up to do bedtime. Yeah,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: And when I'm sitting there and she just kept saying, Mama,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: woo woo, and I'm like, oh yeah, they'll be back soon,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: They'll be back soon. We're sitting there, reading story time,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: doing all this stuff. I hear Mama come home. I
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: hear him come home. Chro obviously, kiss, hug, all this stuff.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Every night Rue does as well, but Rou's downstairs. They
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: just went to get ice cream. Usually we're doing bedtime
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: at the same time. So just the routine kind of
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: comes together to where Rue always goes in, gives her
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: a hug, kiss, three squeeze, says good night.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: All the things.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But Mom comes in, comes upstairs, and I'm I'm on
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the rocking part to where we hit the books. We've
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: hit brushing tet, we've hit all the things, so we're
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: now it's time to fall asleep. Mom comes in, hug, kiss,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: three squeezes, she leaves. Now I'm sitting there rocking Scotty
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: and she's got pat Pa in. She calls her past.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I see pat Pa, I see her take it out,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: and she's like woo woo, woo woo, and I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Rub's downstairs.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: She's home. She's like woo woo.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I was like, oh, you want you want Rue to
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: come tell you good night? And then she just says
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: back and I just see her like okay, So I
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: text Charles. I'm like, hey, Scotty wants Ru to come
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: up and tell her good night. Rue comes upstairs, and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Bro just melts your heart. Man.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: She comes in, It's like, oh, Rue, Scotty wants you
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: to give her history. Squeeze Scott.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: He's already like leaning up, hug who gives her a
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: soft kiss on the forehead one two three, I love
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: you and just tells her, Bro like, good night, sleep tight.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I see in the morning. I love being your big sister.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: And Ruth's talking to her in like the adult voays,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: trying to talk to the to the baby, you know
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: what I mean. Like she's like, uh, she's just doing it, yes,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: And Bro, it just melts your heart, man, And Scott
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: a Lama puts pat pat back in, Sister rocks off
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: the to sleep. But dude, is it is the most
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: adorable thing in the world. Does he just roue kind
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: of operate like she's being the adult in the room
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: for it.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that element of parenting that I would say
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: any parent would want to bottle up and keep in
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: their pocket forever.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, I was mad.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I didn't like rip it out and just like I'm
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: gonna get one one day.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Oh you'll do. You'll get a thousand of those.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and you're just saying like, I love being your
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: big sister, like all the things that we say to
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: rue her. Mimicking it and doing it with Scottie is
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: just dude, It's Oh that's my crack a cold one.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: What a great crack a cold one, Dude, I had
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: a crack a cold one of I wanted to quickly
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: shout out Uncle Brian and Auntie Hillary. There are Brian
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: was the best man my wedding. There are a couple
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: of friends. They their daughter was born on my birthday
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: May twenty fourth, where we're birthday twins, and she was
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: born and it's their first kid and he's a girl dad.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: And I'm really excited. If I talk to more, I'll cry.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I can kind of knew the the glistening happened.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Oh bro we they they are just like my favorite
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: people in the entire world. They're my favorite people in
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: the entire world, and I have a ton of.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Those love you. That's like, oh ship.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: For anyone listening, there's a close family, uh and friend.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: Like you know what I mean when I just say
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: Brian Cox is good people.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Dude, that's my guy. That's my guy.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I've known him. He moved to our school in seventh grade.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: My cousin knew him, and he ran up to me
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: on the seven on seven field during summer ball and
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: he said, Hey, my name is Brian Cox. I know
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Marshall Young, your cousin. He said, we're going to be
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: best friends. And since that day, Brian Cox has been
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: my best friend. Like, that's my dog and he just
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: had a daughter. Dude, I'm so so that's my ready
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: to rock. Oh yeah, if you want to talk about
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: all the pitfalls of Sherman Young, Brian Cox fills those
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: spaces of Hey, what are things that Sherman's really bad at?
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Not always on time, real messy, not very Uh what's
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: what's the word organized?
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Organize?
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Brian's got it. Brian could have been a dad
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: ten years ago.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: Oh he's ready to go.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: He's a stud.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: He's yeah, we're talking pt sicko wise.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Is he ready to go.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Also that yes, loves the show, loves like he's so
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: ready to be a dad. But as far as he'd
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: put me to shame, he put me to shame. And
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: he's got this stuff he's got to learn of, like
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: dipey changing and all that.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I'll do.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Man, he's gonna be able to do it.
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but he said like he was sending to me
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: when he was in the delivery room. He was sending
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: me just jiffs of cornerbacks, just going like this, I
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: got it unlocked.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: You gotta see me operating in this delivery room right now.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: We could have him one, he could have Dad Hacks. Yeah,

- 1:14:09Speaker 10: That was like, hey, what the hell do I do?
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: Thore in bad time? Like what do you guys do? Like, oh,
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: look at.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: You get to a point she's ten months.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: She crawled.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: She when I start walking to that bathroom, now she
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: crawls after me, going a screaming, going hell, yeah, it's bathtime.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: It's bathtime.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: I get to play like it's literally playtime for and
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: just the it's that same kind of magic that you're
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: describing with uh Rue and Scottie, like that just the
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: magic of Scarlet crawling all the way to the bathtub
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: and pulling herself on it and looking at the water
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: and seeing her mermaid and just like the noises she
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: makes like she literally grunts in scra of like yes, backtime,
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Like I love bat time. It's just like such a
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: magical little moment of I'm drained to the end of
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: the day. I don't even want to be doing bat time.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: I'm in a sour dog right right right right by.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: That time, it's like a it gets caught with this
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: in like a it's a chore. It's a chore.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: And then I see the way she's crawling to the
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: bathroom and I'm like, oh, it just like gives me
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: so much life to like see her just be so elated.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Dude. Yeah, and Rue's got so much like speaking about
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: like Scottie.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: You just lather them up with soap. You get them going.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: It's easy.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: And are they doing it together?
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they do it together. They do it together.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Scotty trying to like grab Ruse toys and you know
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: you're trying to like separate them. It's just fun to play,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: like include your sister. Scott but has so much hair.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: It's like, you know, just shampooing her hair. Yeah, it's
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: just a deal. I've got her now to where if
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: it's just Rue, I call like I'm throwing some selec
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: SPA time. I was like, let me show you a
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: trick to where I basically get her to just lay
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: back in the water like instead of like just just
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: dumping water on all the time, like laying back and
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: just her ears are under the waters where it's just
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: her face coming out. I play some tunes no, and
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I'll like, you know, massage your head because I'm just
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: trying to get the soap out versus like, you know,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: she gets it. She's trying to play. You're trying to
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: like dump the continue to look up, look up, chin up,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: all these things. Well, let's just get it to where
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: we knock it out. You just lay back, I kind
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: of massage it all out of your hair.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: That's a fantastic dad hack as far as like turning
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: a net negative into a net positive. And now it's
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: it's fun and easy for her, and it's a lot
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: easier for you now too.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and another little dad hack. So if you it
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: was the last time it was happening, where her ears
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: are under, her ears are underwater, on her face just
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: popping up, I'm like, oh, just relax, listen to the music.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Can you hear the tone of my voice? Can you
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: hear the music being played, and she's like whispering like yeah,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: and you know too, like when you have kids that
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: love bath time when you're wanting to drain, they get upset,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: like they're like, no, we want to continue to be.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: We want to continue to be in the bath and
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: continue to play. How I hacked it with rue is
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, uh, you know, we got all the
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: soap out of her hair and everything else. She's sitting up.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I'm like, late, back down, and I want you to
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: hear like when we un pool, like listen to how
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: cool the noise is when the water's draining, when your
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: ears are underwater. So she's laying back, I'm kind of
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: knocking out to where it's like, okay, I cleaned her up,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: we can just get out of bath, versus her like
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: wanting to sit there and play because she's fired up
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: about the spa, about the music and all the things,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: and me like massage in her head because she's like, Mama,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Mama doesn't want me to lay back because it'll still
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: be soaping my.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Oh your mama, Like listen, I'll make sure the soup's
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: out of here.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: But I'm like, listen to how cool the drain the
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: drain noise like when it drains. And she's like okay,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: and she like lays back and I'm like, I'm like
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: in your head. She's like, yeah, so you's drained the
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: water out. Bath time's over. You can get out now.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: You got to save them because they're cold. You pick
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: them up. You know, you're doing all the things. You're
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: like doing the dryer noises so you can dry out
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: her hair and her body and everything else. Playing. Oh,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: but that's a way to kind of hack the system
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: so you're not in bath time longer than you need
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: to be in bath time.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: Fabulous dad hack. I have a dad hack right here
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: by the way. If we want to, let's get into
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: the hacks.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: I got a dad hack as well. This one comes
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: from Sean McGowan. Sean said dad hack with ninety nine
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: percent effectiveness. It reads, Hey boys, big fan here and
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: want to let you know and want to let you
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: in on a little dad hack I use all the time.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: That works almost too well. I have two toddlers, two
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: and four, and as we all know, getting a toddler
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: or multiple toddlers to listen or complete a task can
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: be a challenge. So here's what I do when I'm
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: trying to get them to get something done. I turn
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: it into a race competition.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Bro, my dad.
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: This is just has my dad written all over it.
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: Who's gonna get dressed first, who's gonna brush their teeth first,
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: who's gonna get in the tub first, who's gonna go
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: to the potty before bed first, et cetera, et cetera.
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: It works so well with our two that now my
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: wife uses it. So I'm passing along the knowledge to
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: all ptsios out there and just need to get the
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: kids out the door. Hope all as well. Sean from Connecticut, CT, Connecticut, Yep.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: My dad. My dad's go to was, Hey, how fast
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: do you think you can do it? Oh?
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: I don't know, like twenty seconds because he had me
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: trained at that point. Right, let's see, twenty seconds. He
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: had a time ax, always wore a time ax head.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Get that thing going, and I'm off to the races
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: on trash, newspaper anything anything.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: You have that dad hack too, because I'm gonna I'm
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: using that dad hack once Scotti becomes of age where
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: she's like, can get herself dressed or brush your teeth
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: or do things like on her own.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but I love that Dad hack Man.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: We gotta leave pretty quick for ballet where you think
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: you can get your hair done?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: What do you think maybe two minutes?
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: You think you do it in two minutes? I could
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: do it in a minute.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: I got one here from Colton Jones on Spotify.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Dad Hack Here, boys take the pacifier to build a
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: bear and have your kid pick out a stuffed animal
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: to put the pacifier in. Work for my boy ps
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: haven with the beds his first day of senior year
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: of high school in twenty sixteen.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Dude shut out.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Colton, Dude shut out coldon Hey, I have a video
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: that I'll send to you sober since senior year of
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: high school. Let's go h I got a video for
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: Chef of a little girl putting her pass in the
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: build a bear looks so much fun? She was ripping,
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: Dude ripping.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Yeah, build a bear. That's a that's a fun that's
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: a fun like event to do with going to build
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a bear, building the stuffed animal.
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: I also, I have a Dad hack that's been sitting
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: on my sheet for weeks, forgotten every single episode to say,
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: here's my dad hack Nan It not nan It. We
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: love nan It. Nuna our stroller. Nuna makes like a
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: little stroller bag that you can put on your stroller.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: You don't have to have Nuna, you don't have to
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: have the Nuna bag, but put a bag on your
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: stroller and put poop bags, water bottle, snacky pios. Because
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: I'm starting to do those walks in the morning Scarlet
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: and the dogs, and now that I have that little
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: bag on my stroller, dude, it is a lifesaver. I
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: even sometimes put paper towels in there because you never know.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Because Goose, I mean, God bless him, dude, that guy
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: had a ticket to the glue factory two years ago.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: I mean, Goose, I could literally go home to live
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: with Grandma. I'm pretty much fed up on Goose. He'll
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: get poop all over him.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Yeah, on the.
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: Walk and he's trying to jump up on the stroller
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: and he's got poop all over him. And thank god,
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: I have my paper towels in my little mag I
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: love Goose too, but it's ill Goose.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: Yeah, take them to the farm.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: He might, he might.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: I threaten him with the glue factory and he acts
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: like he doesn't understand me, and I'm like, buddy, you
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: gotta get it together.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna find out, you're gonna buyd knock around,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: find out we got some pt fixed.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I have a just dad hack. You're on the stuff
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: to have in the bag. I was gonna throw back
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: an old school dad hack, just strictly on routine. There's
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: obviously new dats that come your boy BC, but any
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: new dad's out there that is looking for just some
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: small game and it's around my cracker cold one a
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: bedtime routine. But just to refresh people on the routine,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: on the routine that we do with Scotti, because we
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: now have Scottie. Not now she's been doing it for
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a minute, but putting away her laundry, like getting her
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: to do a little chores since she's like kind of
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: with it a little bit, she's only eighteen months old.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: But making sure you got that bottle ready to go downstairs.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Before you go upstairs, or before you go to the room,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: you go into the room, set the room, you set
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: the tempo, You set the environment, whether it's lights off,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: you got the night light on, you close the blindes,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you close the shades. You got the sound machine playing
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the music, the things that set the tone that let
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the little one know bedtime is about to happen and
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: about to take place. And again this is for newer
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: dads or younger dads. Changing table. Now you rock the
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: little one on the changing table. You got the you
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: got the temperature set, you got everything set in the room.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: Now it's time to go to work.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: You get them on the changing table, You change their diaper,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: You lather them up at the lotion if they got
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: the dry skin, you got the loaches for the dry skin.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: You got all the things you need to do. You
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: put the pajamas on them. While you're putting the pajamas
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: on them, you sing them a song. Me, my default
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: is always just using the kid's name, the child's name
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: for the song. So to be like scott E scott E,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Scottie Joe, Scottie Scottie Scottie Joe. And I just look
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: at her and I sing, and I look at her laugh,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: I look at her smile mmm. Or I'll do Old
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: McDonald had a full hit it with the old McDonald's
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: E I E I O. And you sing to why
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: you're changing them? Yes, sir, you got them changed? Now
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: you hit I sent little Scotty, Joe down if they're
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: big enough to walk, Scotty. Now it's on to do laundry.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: You see Mom and Dadda do the laundry every day.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Now she's mimicking. She's want to see Scotty laundry time.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: She'll hand me one piece and she'll grab one piece. Okay,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: we'll walk.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: To the laundry. I throw it in laundry and I
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: go boom.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: She goes over. Ugh, she comes out after laundry. We
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: now get her too. So once you get them changed up,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: if they're not walking, or they're not doing the little
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: wattle thing, you now get them in the sleepsack. At
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: sleepsack time, they sip them up in the sleepsack. Maybe
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: sing a little too, maybe sh boom down.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: In the crib. Get him in the sleepsack.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: For Scotti. We rip a couple of books. She ygs
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: the bottle. Yeah, we go in and do brush your teeth.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: We brush the teeth. You have the little routine with
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: brushing the teeth. They love it. You go in, you
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: read another book or two if you want to us.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I have one. The starting song on the sound machine,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: and now it's the white noise that lets us know, Hey,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: it's sleep time. Lah Yeah, back Papa in hold Lama.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: She reaches for a book. No, no, sweetheart, it's time for bed.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: It's time for sleeping. Yeah.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: She kind of relaxes, sit back down. We just rock
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: back and forth.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I sing her in by Wimble from Mighty Joe Young
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: until she's out cold, or until she's getting to that
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: stage tour she's still a little bit awake. The sleep
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: training stuff kicks in where you want them to go
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: to sleep on their own. Scotty now being eighteen months,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: you put her in the crib like while she's still
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll rock her to sleep towards she's fully asleep,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: because you just love getting that extra cuddle time in.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Put her in bed when she's a little drowsy. She
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: learns the false go to sleep on her own boom.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: Just dad hack routine, just re recycling some stuff that
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: we've talked about in the past. Will you know that
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: there's new dads that come in that come through just
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: simple get routines.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: Right If I yeah, you're a new mom or a
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: new dad and you just listen to that part of
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: will I don't think you heard them.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: I think you need to rewind.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: I think you need to listen to that again and
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: break out a little pen and paper because you just
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: play everybody on so much game.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: And I'm being dead.
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: Serious, dude, you're a If you were a staunch, staunch Democrat,
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: I'm a staunch Republican. You put that bill in front
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: of me, I'm signing it.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: That is you want to talk about getting your baby
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: to sleep, That's exactly what we do. And I know
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: that we went off of two different methods with the
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: reading stuff, but you could tuck in scarlet tonight with
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: that method.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: That's exactly when we do. You're a dad that's listening
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: right now or as soon to be dead or in
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: your significant other mom doesn't listen before the dads. This
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: is some game that you can take. Hey, here's game. Like,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: we gotta set the tone, we gotta set the room.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: And she's probably gonn say yeah, yeah, I know I've
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: been wanting you to do this.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: Oh dude, you got a buddy with bags under his eyes.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: We can't get the kiddo down.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: Just like, kindly ask him if he does have a
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: bedtime operation that they're going off of. They might not
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: have one like there's some people that just aren't aware
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: of this, and that's okay, dude, you're new to parenting.
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: But I'm telling you, if it could be anything, he
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: said what he said, and I'm saying that we do
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: the exact same thing. But you get that structured down
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: of these steps are taken every single night.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Yeah, because you're teaching them too. It's like you're training
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: them to understand that, hey, it is bedtime now. Just
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: like now, it's like Scotty, she can't pull out and
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: open up the trash cabinet, but she knows now, Like
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: when she's done with something, she'll continue to like hand
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: it to us. But as she hands it to us,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: it's like, oh, we got to throw this in the trash,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: so I'll grab it, or I'll just have her walk.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Let's come over here to the trash can. Open up
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: the trash can. She sits there and stares at it
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: for a long time, pretends to put it in, doesn't,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: and then I'll end up just like knocking it out
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: into the.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Trash and I'm like, yeah, good job.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: Study. But then over time, you're building these iterations of hey,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: when you're done with your snack and you are strong,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: enough to pull it out. You're going to be throwing
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: away your own trash. Yeah, you're just setting them up.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: You're setting them up. Yeah, you got to.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: Train these little ones.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Call ins, call ins, dude, let's dive in PT six, MT. Six,
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: we interrupt this episode to bring you Lollipop to.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Talk to him about Ollipop. You saw Chase Daniel. He's
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: got a rankings, He's got a rankings out there. We've
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: converted a sick out. Yeah, we've converted this converted a
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: lot of guys or or we're just we are learning
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: that there's a lot of people out there that's a
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: fan of Ollipop and they have.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Incredible they have incredible beverages.
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: Incredible beverages. And it's not like we have made it
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: cool to drink Lollipop. I think that Ollipop has just
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: put us on game, and we're helping everybody else be
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: put on games.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we're all helping bring the noise to the masses.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, because I listen, I need to
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: get on top of a mountain and talk to people
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: about the Chris Bapple that is out there, and you
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: hear it week after week, weekend, week out. Top of
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: my list, favorite drinking bar. None right now is Chris Bapple.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: And I'm being dead serious. I've mentioned knit twice. I
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: was just recently at Target.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: Oh there's all these sodas and Seltzer's and all these
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: brands and blah blah blah. Hey which one sold out?
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: Which one is sold out? Or you might get a
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: one piece of crisp Apple. Yeah, but as far as

- 1:35:05Speaker 3: off Theseectomy. Let's see what they got.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: Let's see. Hey, this is George Barrett.
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: Hello, George, long.
- 1:35:13Speaker 8: Time listener, first time caller. I listened to one of
- 1:35:17Speaker 8: yours post part earlier today. It was talking about the sects. Listen,
- 1:35:24Speaker 8: now we've all done this.
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: I think, you know, maybe once or so the storm did.
- 1:35:30Speaker 8: I was actually uh put in, got a you know,
- 1:35:34Speaker 8: a quick a little check up.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: Every thinks fine, right, it's pretty smooth.
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: Right, Well there, I am really on the table, have
- 1:35:42Speaker 7: some laughing gas and all of a sudden, doctor's stilling around.
- 1:35:47Speaker 11: First one knit sim burn it cool. Doctor's still playing
- 1:35:52Speaker 11: around a little longer, you know, still playing, still playing.
- 1:35:57Speaker 11: I'm this is take a little a long I expected.
- 1:36:01Speaker 11: He picks up over my leg and says, do I
- 1:36:04Speaker 11: have both kidneys?
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: I this is random time out, he said, do I.
- 1:36:09Speaker 4: Doctor says, well, you ask him do you have both kidneys?
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: And the guy said, well, yeah, that's super weird. I
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: have both kidneys. Yes, okay, okay, keep going.
- 1:36:17Speaker 9: Start talking more.
- 1:36:18Speaker 7: I'm like, what do you mean?
- 1:36:19Speaker 12: My kiddy like, well, what happens when you've got the kidneys?
- 1:36:22Speaker 12: You develop all your testicles? And I'm like, why have
- 1:36:24Speaker 12: two balls? So there's that's obviously there, and he's like,
- 1:36:27Speaker 12: but your best difference is at all? At the same time,
- 1:36:31Speaker 12: I'm like, I'm pretty sure I have both kidneys. So
- 1:36:34Speaker 12: if I'm feeling around, because I'm feeling around, nothing.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Nothing call for me.
- 1:36:39Speaker 8: The story of because after this all.
- 1:36:40Speaker 12: The ejaculating, is that I was able to actually have
- 1:36:43Speaker 12: two buoys one nut did that because I only have
- 1:36:47Speaker 12: one beast stefference.
- 1:36:48Speaker 7: After the doctor played around and didn't ult sound on.
- 1:36:51Speaker 13: My kiddies and found I have both kidneys, and felt
- 1:36:53Speaker 13: around a little longer find out that, yeah, I only
- 1:36:56Speaker 13: have one active best difference, so I only want to
- 1:36:59Speaker 13: do one snip. The shittiest part about this whole thing
- 1:37:01Speaker 13: is it doctor didn't even give me half discount.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: I am George down and everything. I laughed, didn't get
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: half off, and he laughed at me.
- 1:37:10Speaker 7: He said, no, God, bory By that you're still getting
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: five stars is a mystar treatment flappy yas helpful, b
- 1:37:17Speaker 7: but uh yeah, the whole uh working off that much,
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: it's a real thing. Uh even a one nut, you know.
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: I asked Hivited how to do it half that time
- 1:37:26Speaker 7: because only had half the process. He said no, So
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: it was very interesting. But yeah, my little story behind
- 1:37:32Speaker 7: that is go do a voice? Do we have it
- 1:37:34Speaker 7: done again? Thank you for listening to my story and
- 1:37:37Speaker 7: let us be safe. Heaving for me because yeah, it
- 1:37:40Speaker 7: was quite the story, you.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Know he had so.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: So George's pro snip, did you just hang up a
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: common misconception conception about the hotline? It only goes two
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: minutes twenty three seconds. So we get a lot of
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: novels from people. That was the longest one I've submitted
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: in here, because it's funny. That's vast step in front
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: of what it does. No is the duck that allows
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: sperm to go from your balls out, So he has
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: a ball that just has sperm that can't leave the ball. Oh,
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: so he's clogged up, and yeah, I don't know this
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: man personally.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: My assumption is, yes, maybe not clogged, but it's only formulated.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: He's only got one dose in there, and he's had
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: it for his entire life.
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: Shout out to that particular ball, Yeah, like truly for
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: hanging around this long and just being being there for
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: your boy the sperm in that nut.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: Like it's got to be a community at this point
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: because he is a family.
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: Og sperm swimming around in that thing.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: And we aren't.
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: Doctors, We aren't doctors. We're saying we're not experts at all.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: But that sounds right to me.
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: But it's like the.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: Boys are hanging in there, it's like, hey, I heard
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: in it, you know, and other in other realms, like
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: they're just they get to know each other, they say hello,
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: they get acquainted, but they're off, they're off somewhere else.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: They never get to know their boys the way we
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: get to know each other.
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: They don't get to chill out here for thirty something years.
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's crazy. Oh, I was.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: Trying to think of a name, Greg Crazy Greg the sperm.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: What is I love that he asked for half off
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: while he was high on laughing gas with his pants
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: around his ankles. I mean, it's a fair professional, real
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: dad right there to be looking for a discount while
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: under the knife. He's not gonna be folf like, what
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: are we talking about?
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Dog? And also I would ask, are we able to
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: pull out the sperm that testicle so that way I
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: can bottle it up like it's a.
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's from a glacier, from a last Yeah.
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: I'd almost want to jar it the whole ball. Yeah,
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: if it doesn't need to be in there. I don't know,
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: you know, I'm kind of talking out my ass, but
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: that'd be fun.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: That can be fun. Yeah, But the boys are still
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: in the ball, like when you want to get them
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: out so they can at least see the world. That's
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: what I'm saying. They're never going to be used ever. Yeah,
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: unless you can pull it out and extract it and
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: like freeze it.
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: And if George here is like in sales or anything,
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: that's a conversation piece, so you just have it on
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: your desk or like on a bookshelf, and then he
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: that's you just call them.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: You just you put some white tape over the jar
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: and just call them Doomsday boys. Because there kind of
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: like some doomsday guys, like they've just been trapped underground.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Yeah forever.
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: Yeah, those are.
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: The doomsday boys in there.
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: But it kind of looks like just a testicle. Uh,
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: what's what's the same, George, Like it kind of just
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: looks like a testicle. George, Yeah, it is. But there's
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: millions in there that you haven't seen the world. So
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: I'm doing I'm a favorite dude. Can we talk business
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: or what? This next one is titled PT Pisser.
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: Oh please, welcome to the show, Pet Pisser.
- 1:40:54Speaker 14: And Podcast and have a pet pisser story. We were
- 1:41:02Speaker 14: actually in Nashville a couple.
- 1:41:05Speaker 9: Of months Agoville in Nashville.
- 1:41:08Speaker 15: Party and I was thirty five thirty eight weeks pregnant
- 1:41:14Speaker 15: at the time.
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 1:41:15Speaker 15: And he went to Broadway that night and gets back
- 1:41:20Speaker 15: in I did not go out, and he rolls over
- 1:41:25Speaker 15: on top of me and our son in my belly.
- 1:41:28Speaker 9: At the time. No her size reference.
- 1:41:32Speaker 15: He was a line at maybe and oh no, on
- 1:41:35Speaker 15: top of me.
- 1:41:36Speaker 9: I hear a bang into the cabinet the Airbnb and
- 1:41:40Speaker 9: piss just starting to hit the floor and Kip thinks
- 1:41:44Speaker 9: that he is being in the toiletom target of the AIRBB.
- 1:41:50Speaker 14: So I howk up really quickly and try to get
- 1:41:55Speaker 14: him into the bathroom.
- 1:41:56Speaker 15: He's all over a toilet, all of the floor as
- 1:41:59Speaker 15: absolutely gets struck in bed and just goes back sound asleep. Yeah,
- 1:42:05Speaker 15: we were watching an episode now with our eight week
- 1:42:08Speaker 15: old little boy. His name's kap after his dad, and
- 1:42:12Speaker 15: I just had to call and he has.
- 1:42:14Speaker 9: No idea that I'm calling. Oh, thank you so much day.
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: Kapepe just got out of.
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: And that's why we don't forget Mother's Day, folks, That's
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: why we don't forget.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: It's something. I'm farther away from the laptop. She's saying
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: that he rolled on top of her to roll out
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: of bed.
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: To roll out of bed, he.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: Rolls over his thirty five week pregnant wife.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: Beat it the floor and then just starts hearing peek.
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: Kape is melting in his chair right now, he's melting
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: in his chair.
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: Average Broadway experience.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought I thought she was going to say
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: that he that kp was started to piss on her. Yeah,
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: that's where I thought it was going to. I got worried, which.
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: It sounded like he kind of did a little bit
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: when she was helping him to the bathroom.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, let's get you to the bell. Let's
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: get you close to the toil. She probably stepped in it.
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: Yeah, KP, thank you for your service. By the way
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: you sound, I mean he sounds like a road dog. Yeah,
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: he's a road dog.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: I didn't know where it was going at first.
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: I thought Madison was going to say she went the
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: beds and she's like in the third trimester.
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: I was about to tell or they went the bed
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: together deeke the pt pisser title. I was like, did
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: we mean the empty pissar? Like, wait, did we unlock
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: a new crew here? Oh my gosh, that voice.
- 1:43:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's very ominous on the gender leading into it
- 1:43:49Speaker 4: to try to give you them little tease.
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: But it's a good calling. Good. That's hilarious, dude.

- 1:44:07Speaker 1: after a night out on Oa Street. And my boy
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: won't say his name because I don't want out him.
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: He ain't gonna do it, but he.
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: Has this drunk pissing situation.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he fucking peas on the headrest next to me

- 1:44:29Speaker 1: what the fuck are you doing? Does he wake up?
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: Does he kind of He's like, you know, he's hammered. Yeah,
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: he's like, oh, well, oh my god.
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: I'm so sorry.

- 1:44:54Speaker 3: towel uh next to me at my buddy's light house
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: was in college, and little note that said, hey, there's
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: a spot in the TV room over by this wall.
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: Day I need you to clean up. We'll talk later.
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: It's probably like five o'clock in the morning, six o'clock
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: in the morning when I wake up.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: That's how you know I had a fun night.
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: When I'm waking that early and I cleaned the spot,
- 1:45:17Speaker 3: not knowing anything about it, I'm like, what is this?
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: Blah blah blah, and get a nice little photo of me.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: I thought it was a toilet. Dude thought it was
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: a toilet, just out in the open.
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: Safe space.
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: Safe space.
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to decide which one to tell.
- 1:45:32Speaker 4: So there was I just told a story that I
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: got pissed. Yeah, I'm going to tell the alternate POV
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: of that.
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: So you did it. Oh, Luckily my fiance doesn't listen
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: to the show with her family. Get over it.
- 1:45:46Speaker 4: With a previous relationship, I worked service industry and we
- 1:45:50Speaker 4: had our Christmas party notoriously in like February is when
- 1:45:53Speaker 4: it happens, and we went out before did that, and
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: I went back in my ex girlfriend.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: I wonder why.
- 1:46:00Speaker 4: At the time lived with a couple of my friends
- 1:46:02Speaker 4: on the girls soccer team. And I remember like three things.
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: I remember getting back, I remember seeing the ceiling, and
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: I remember a thud allegedly I wasn't there for it.
- 1:46:14Speaker 4: I fell asleep in the bed and it was so
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: loud of the snoring. She went to the couch. I
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: walked out to the couch and decided that where her
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: feet were on the couch was the toilet, and started
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: to pee all over the couch As she slept and
- 1:46:30Speaker 4: woke up. She went back into bedroom and locked the
- 1:46:33Speaker 4: door it's a tough couple of days for your boy
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: don't remember doing it, and there's no video footage, so
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: I can't confirm her deny.
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's I saw alleged.

- 1:46:54Speaker 1: not involving people, but like one.
- 1:46:56Speaker 4: I walked from the bar that was near my parents'
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: house back to my parents house, fell asleep on the couch, fine,
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: woke up button naked in the back room with a
- 1:47:03Speaker 4: note from my dad that basically was like I'll kill you.
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: And my shirt, underwear, socks, pants were just drenched. The
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: whole couch was drenched. I had to go buy a
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: couch shark that day. Like we we whitened. We got
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: stories and my dad and mama just love you guys.

- 1:47:50Speaker 3: just oh for sure, yeah.
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: You know what you got.

- 1:48:07Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah, so KP.
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: You're in a safe spot. You're in a safe space.
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: But he's an empty SICKO.
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: Got him.

- 1:52:18Speaker 1: I don't want a Ollipop shame because they're a sponsor
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: of the show, and I love all that. I like
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: all of these flavors, yes, but to have Chris Bapple
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: at five, it's treason.
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: I feel you on that. I feel you on that.
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: It's that is your taste buds and your truth. You know,

- 1:52:47Speaker 3: a sponsor of the show. I don't think you can
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: go wrong with ollipop. And was very surprised myself when
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: I ranked cherry is number one and my like taste essay,

- 1:53:37Speaker 1: and one hundred and fifty. Oh will.

- 1:53:45Speaker 3: mean you're mare of that recipe that you fucked up?
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: He said was half and half and heavy whipping cream

- 1:53:57Speaker 3: They but she's like, I'm super prago. I need a
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: sweet tree. What was that recipe again? The real one?
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: Don't mess it up. It is the banana cream ollipop
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: flavor mixed with good one Chabonnie sweet cream. You mix
- 1:54:12Speaker 3: it together, you put a ton of ice in there.
- 1:54:14Speaker 3: Sters st stir. You're drinking a milkshake at that point,
- 1:54:18Speaker 3: you're drinking a milkshake. Mike Drop, Mike drop, Chase Daniel.
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: I'm just saying clearly I had had banana cream.
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you want to go first there or do
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: you want me?
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: Mine is a saddlert. I do want to give a
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: warning to our listeners.
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: I can't even think straight right now. Hey, here's a
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: Dad Loss.
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: I just want to hit because I think this is
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: a profile pick of Sirm's face close up. Oh now
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: is this a burner? This is from Ashton, Dad Loss.
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: I blinked, I blinked in That little girl wrapped up

- 1:55:04Speaker 1: This from Ashton on Discord and his profile picture is
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: a close up of your face. He's one of the

- 1:55:16Speaker 4: the Discord of selfie. The three of us and Ashton
- 1:55:19Speaker 4: took that picture and made it his profile picture.
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: So someone goes, oh, that's a lary. Is your real name?
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: Ashton Sherm.
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: He goes, no, shirm share to pick one day and
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: I just used it and never changed it.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: Oh ash legend. Oh my god, that's funny, dude. I
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: love that.
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: My my emails along you want me, you want me
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: to jump right in?
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: Dive in, Okay, dive in.
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: This comes from Christina Cardwell. This is a saddlert. It
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: does touch on, uh, miscarriage, and so just like a
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: warning to our audience, if you want to skip past this,
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: you totally can. But this is just a grandmother's take
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: on her son and her daughter in law and then
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: going through a miscarriage situation, how they're dealing with it,
- 1:56:07Speaker 3: the thoughts and feelings of it.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: And here we go.
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: Hey guys, my name is Christina and I am the
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: proud mama bear of a United States Army Ranger.
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: Thank you for your service.
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: Dude, Hope I can keep my story short and interesting
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: because I know it would mean the world to my
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: son if you read this. Our family has been in
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: a whirlwind of joy and agony in the past few months.
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: To start out, my son is just a sweetheart of
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: a soul if you can imagine a soldier trained to
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: be elethal weapon to be a sweetheart. But yes, he
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: has been since the day he was born. He joined
- 1:56:41Speaker 3: the Army right out of high school and of course
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: decided a ranger is what he wanted to be. The
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: process is a long story, but what a lot of blood,
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: sweat and tears, my tears. He made it through basic training,
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: Ranger Assessment and selection program are ASP Airborne School and
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: Ranger School. Damn so safe to say dude's cooking.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was his.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: Dream and he did it.
- 1:57:07Speaker 3: I think he was twenty one when he finished all that,
- 1:57:09Speaker 3: with a couple of deployments in between. If you know
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: anything about Ranger School and Rageer Regiment, it is definitely
- 1:57:16Speaker 3: a man's club. He has had the time of his life.
- 1:57:19Speaker 3: Trust me when I say he has sewed his oats.
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: But he was growing tired of a crazy single bachelor
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: life and dreaming of settling down and starting a family.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: He's a handsome devil and he has had a few
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: quote unquote relationships A long time ago. I told him
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: not to tell me about his ladies until he knows
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: he is serious, because I would fall in love with
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: them and he would end up breaking up with them.
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: So I really don't know about his latest So I
- 1:57:47Speaker 3: really didn't know about his latest girl until a few
- 1:57:50Speaker 3: months ago. He starts selling me he is thinking about
- 1:57:55Speaker 3: buying a ring, and I can't tell you how many
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: prayers I've prayed for my boy to find it his
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: one since the moment I saw.
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: His sweet little face.
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: I've prayed for his wife that he would find the
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: woman of God for him. So I guess I wasn't
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: too shocked when he called and asked if his father
- 1:58:13Speaker 3: was close by because he had something to tell us.
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: I did want to slap my twenty six year old
- 1:58:18Speaker 3: son when he said that they were using the quote
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: unquote pullout method for birth control? Are you kidding me?
- 1:58:24Speaker 3: In parentheses? He brought her to meet the family for
- 1:58:27Speaker 3: Easter Sunday, and we fell in love with her. They
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: embraced this baby with their whole hearts and began planning
- 1:58:32Speaker 3: for a wonderful future. They got married at the courthouse
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: the first week of May, planning to do the church
- 1:58:39Speaker 3: wedding after the baby is born, and the gender reveal
- 1:58:41Speaker 3: was a couple weeks later. The Monday after Mother's Day,
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: my son sent me The Guy's Mother's Day episode and
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: told me to start listening. The minute that he found
- 1:58:52Speaker 3: out that he was going to be a dad, I
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: told him to keep listening to y'all. It's the best
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: dad advice I had ever heard. Thank you, Christina. I
- 1:59:01Speaker 3: wish his dad had something like that back in the day.
- 1:59:04Speaker 3: And now winky face. He was excited to be a
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: dad and become the best husband he can be. And
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: then last Wednesday, I got the worst phone call from
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: my new daughter in law at her twelve week checkup.
- 1:59:16Speaker 3: My baby grandson was gone. I will never as long
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: as I live on here. The agonizing crying of my
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: son when he called me an hour later when he
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: had heard the news his son was gone and he
- 1:59:30Speaker 3: was desperate to be released from his training and to
- 1:59:34Speaker 3: get to his young wife, who also was slash living
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: her worst nightmare. My heart ached for them, and it
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: was all I could do to get in my car
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: and rush to them. My son is not a boy anymore.
- 1:59:45Speaker 3: He is a man and a husband. He was doing
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: what he needed to do and protect and defend his family.
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: He did what he had to do to get off
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: work and make the four hour drive to his wife.
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: Yesterday they went to the hospital to make the surgery
- 1:59:58Speaker 3: to remove baby from her body. He has been by
- 2:00:03Speaker 3: her side every second and they both have held each
- 2:00:06Speaker 3: other through the darkest days of their lives. It is
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: gut wrenching but also beautiful to watch them do what
- 2:00:13Speaker 3: men and women who truly live what marriage, who truly
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: live out what marriage is in sickness and in health.
- 2:00:23Speaker 3: Marriage is such a dark or sorry. Miscarriage is such
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: a dark and taboo subject in our culture, and well
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: intentioned people say things that's sting, like you are young
- 2:00:34Speaker 3: and you can have another or well, Lisa happened early
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: in the pregnancy. No one knows what to say, and
- 2:00:41Speaker 3: for a man, people just overlook the pain that he
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: is going through. My son was madly in love with
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: his baby boy, who he planned to name after his dad,
- 2:00:50Speaker 3: his papa, who passed away two years ago.
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: They had a.
- 2:00:53Speaker 3: Whole future ahead that has now been shattered and they
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: are lost right now. And in the end, I think
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: this will make their marriage stronger, but the days ahead
- 2:01:05Speaker 3: will be hard and full so many tears. Please shout
- 2:01:09Speaker 3: out the dads, the moms, the grandmas and grandpa's aunties
- 2:01:12Speaker 3: and uncles and cousins going through the pain of miscarriage.
- 2:01:15Speaker 3: Those babies are real. They still live on with the Lord,
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: and we will wait for the day when we see
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: their beautiful faces. All my love and gratefulness for all
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: you do for parents, Christina Williams, Gigi, that is a
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: really cool story. Yeah, this is a really cool story.
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: That's a really hard story.
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: And from perspective of Grandma too.
- 2:01:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it for anybody going currently going through that, or
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: has been through that, or is desperately trying for a
- 2:01:55Speaker 3: child and they're listening to the show.
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: My heart really does.
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: Go out to you, because I have met people that
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: I'm very close to you in my life that the
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: only thing they want on this green Earth is to
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: be a mom or a dad. That's like truly all
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: that they want business goals and aspirations aside, personal goals
- 2:02:19Speaker 3: and aspirations aside. They just want to be a mom
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: or a dad. And they come across loss like this,
- 2:02:29Speaker 3: or they come across the obstacles of getting pregnant, getting
- 2:02:32Speaker 3: pregnants hard for them. They're going through IUI, they're going
- 2:02:35Speaker 3: through IBF and it is a battlefield one that I
- 2:02:40Speaker 3: haven't fought on. You've talked numerous times on this podcast
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: about it. But I think the really beautiful part about
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: all those stories, the only silver lining that I can
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: take away from it is what incredible parents those parents
- 2:02:58Speaker 3: will be when they eventually have that day or if
- 2:03:02Speaker 3: they have to adopt or whatever. The answer is that
- 2:03:07Speaker 3: child is so lucky that they are going to get
- 2:03:10Speaker 3: brought up in that house because their parents wanted them
- 2:03:16Speaker 3: so desperately and wanted to raise them and pour into
- 2:03:21Speaker 3: them and build them into wonderful humans that they get
- 2:03:33Speaker 3: to share life with. It's just like a very beautiful thing.
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: It's so dark and hard and taboo, like she said
- 2:03:40Speaker 3: to talk about.
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but there is a silver lining. I'll get off
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: my soapbox. But you did a great You did a
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: great job explaining that and like seeing like the hope
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: and what the future does look like if when they
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: do have a child, because they understand the magnitude of
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: how hard it is, like you know, and I were
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: going through IVF very stressful, uh, very stressful in my wife,
- 2:04:05Speaker 1: Like women feel like it's their bodies or their fault
- 2:04:09Speaker 1: and all the appointments that you have to Yeah, yeah,
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: and also it's like, uh, then when you hear stories
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: like we have friends that you know, we were very
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: fortunate to have Scottie on our first round of IVF,
- 2:04:22Speaker 1: and then we're in the the poor me and not
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: that the poor me isn't necessary, it is you can't
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: like sprint through any piece of adversity or pain that
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: you're feeling. It's like it is important to feel the
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: pain and know what's going on. I know when you
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: do talk to people, it is hard for others to
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: fully understand everything going on in your life to know that, oh,
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: they're just wanting me to sit here or just be
- 2:04:46Speaker 1: an ear for them during this hard time, because yeah,
- 2:04:49Speaker 1: all of us you just want to solve, You want
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: to figure out. You want to grab optimism or you
- 2:04:53Speaker 1: want to grab hope, like latch onto hope, because hope
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: you can you can work with. So when people are
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: at a loss of words, it's not because they don't care,
- 2:04:59Speaker 1: they don't know. It's like they just we all know
- 2:05:04Speaker 1: that we're going to get through moments, that there is
- 2:05:06Speaker 1: no sprinting through those moments, and you're gonna have to
- 2:05:09Speaker 1: feel those moments and that the people that are closest
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: to you are going to feel them with you longer
- 2:05:13Speaker 1: as long as you need them to. Because even my man,
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: like I'm sure him and his wife, like this dude's
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: a ranger. He's been through what he believes is hell.
- 2:05:21Speaker 1: This is like a new hell that you know, he
- 2:05:26Speaker 1: thinks that this is the new worst thing that's happened
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: to us for mom, this is the worst thing that's
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: happened to them. But they both like intuitively know that
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: one day when they look back at this stuff, it's
- 2:05:37Speaker 1: going to help, Like you said, beautifully, it's going to
- 2:05:40Speaker 1: shape them as parents on how precious everything is. Hey,
- 2:05:44Speaker 1: how much this kid that's in front of us now
- 2:05:46Speaker 1: you are a miracle while also still having space to
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: mourn losing the losing the first one. Yeah, dude, you know,
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: like they're they're there's space for both. One feel much
- 2:06:00Speaker 1: larger right now in this moment. And as they know,
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: as we all know, in any hard moment that we
- 2:06:07Speaker 1: are going through, whether it's currently or in the past.
- 2:06:10Speaker 1: If it is in the past and way back, when
- 2:06:13Speaker 1: you know that it shapes who you ultimately become. Like
- 2:06:16Speaker 1: I've obviously spoke about my mom, Like there's so many
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: hard things that all of us hear and everybody listening
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: that can look back to their hardest moments.
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: You might be going through one now that it does suck.
- 2:06:28Speaker 1: And it will ultimately I know, Like when you're in it,
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: you don't want to hear the ultimately part. You just
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: want a buddy to sit there and like, yeah, man,
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: like sitting here, we're all giving a digital bear hug
- 2:06:43Speaker 1: right now, sure together, because that is hard. Even Grandma
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: is going through something watching from Afar, and Grandma might
- 2:06:50Speaker 1: be speaking now where this couple could be listening to
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: it and maybe they feel like they've made progress from
- 2:06:56Speaker 1: it to where now it's they're living in that moment
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: of pain for just a you know, for the fleeting moment.
- 2:07:02Speaker 3: Yes, and it doesn't minimize the hurt that you have
- 2:07:07Speaker 3: from it. To quote, I've been listening to the audiobooks
- 2:07:10Speaker 3: of A Song of Ice of Fire. Not to throw
- 2:07:12Speaker 3: a Game of Thrones into this, but Tyry and Lanister
- 2:07:15Speaker 3: had a great quote of pain is the past feeling
- 2:07:20Speaker 3: so dangerously close and the future feeling so dangerously far
- 2:07:25Speaker 3: away that you.
- 2:07:26Speaker 1: Can't grasp it. Yeah, man, I loved that quote.
- 2:07:30Speaker 3: When I heard it, I was like, Wow, that's a
- 2:07:32Speaker 3: great picture of it and they are in this moment.
- 2:07:36Speaker 3: The hurt is real, and that future that you feel
- 2:07:39Speaker 3: like you can't see or you can't touch is not
- 2:07:42Speaker 3: going to minimize that hurt or what has happened in
- 2:07:46Speaker 3: the past. It's not going to make it completely go away,
- 2:07:49Speaker 3: and it's not going to make the fact that that
- 2:07:51Speaker 3: was really sad and that you're moving on from it
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: doesn't mean that you don't care about it. But eventually
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: those past in future will kind of equal out and
- 2:08:03Speaker 3: you're gonna get back into a headspace where you're ready
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: to take this on because you have dealt with this
- 2:08:09Speaker 3: in your past.
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: You're in lanister, Dude, he's a sick dan Gable paying
- 2:08:15Speaker 1: his weakness leaving the body.
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: Oh no, but it's uh yeah, well said bro.
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: No one's ever drowned in sweat, dude, Cause you know too. Like,
- 2:08:24Speaker 1: if you're somebody who knows somebody or somebody who's currently
- 2:08:27Speaker 1: going through whether they just had a miscarriage, and they're
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: they're seeming like they're needing a shoulder to lean on,
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: it's dude, give them a hug, ask them, hey, how
- 2:08:35Speaker 1: are you doing? But there's there's nothing. It's like the
- 2:08:39Speaker 1: whole nobody's coming to save you much. Even like, uh,
- 2:08:43Speaker 1: my wife and I we've been through We've been through things,
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: and even when I'm needing the ear say it's you.
- 2:08:51Speaker 1: I just want you to listen. Yeah, tells me.
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: No matter what you give me, you're not able to
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: I don't know, rector fixer.
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: You give me some perspective, but no matter what, it's
- 2:09:02Speaker 1: going to be the conversations that I'm having with myself
- 2:09:06Speaker 1: or my own doing or my own choices that's going
- 2:09:08Speaker 1: to fix the thing that I'm I'm needing to be fixed.
- 2:09:12Speaker 3: I've had two or three of those convos with you. Yeah,
- 2:09:14Speaker 3: similar where you didn't I didn't need an answer from you.
- 2:09:18Speaker 3: It was more so I just felt like I could
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: lean on you in that moment because of like our relationship,
- 2:09:26Speaker 3: feeling comfortable with you, sharing it with you, and whether
- 2:09:31Speaker 3: or not you had the answer, it didn't matter. It's
- 2:09:33Speaker 3: just nice that I was able to share that with you,
- 2:09:37Speaker 3: kind of lay that at your feet and you to go, dude,
- 2:09:40Speaker 3: I see it, and that does suck.
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: That's art.
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, thank you for writing in. I have a
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: big one here from Dylan Paine. I'm a pre Scar
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: Scar listener. Back when dad losses were motherfucked moments and
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: before Olipop really started popping. I'm reaching out to you
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: guys to show love, but also the request deployment of
- 2:10:04Speaker 1: all available PT six ers, MPT six ers, goom berets
- 2:10:07Speaker 1: and every sick oh willing to send my little girl
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: their positive thoughts, prayers of strength and healing energy. In February,
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: after a after a routine two and a half year
- 2:10:18Speaker 1: check in with our daughter Everly piis our daughter everly'st pediatrician,
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: a mass was felt in a lower aptomen. Initially we
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: were told it could be it could just be constipation,
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: but need to take it seriously and get an ultrasound.
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: The following day, an ultrasound, CT, MRI, MIBG scan, two anesthesias,
- 2:10:38Speaker 1: and two biopsies later, every parent's nightmare became our reality.
- 2:10:43Speaker 1: Our daughter, who at the time was acting like a
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: completely normal, energetic, sassy toddler, had been diagnosed with a
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: rare cancer called ganglion euro blestoma that was my shot
- 2:10:56Speaker 1: at that word, and had a five inch by three
- 2:10:59Speaker 1: inch two tumor that is putting pressure on her spine
- 2:11:02Speaker 1: and closely interfering with a kidney kidney function due to
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: the complicated location of the tumor near her spine and
- 2:11:11Speaker 1: difficulty of a and difficulty of a resection. At the time,
- 2:11:19Speaker 1: we were recommended by multiple surgeons and oncologists to give
- 2:11:22Speaker 1: two rounds of chemo at first at shot, to give
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: two rounds of chemo at first and hopes the tumor
- 2:11:29Speaker 1: would shrink enough away from the spine and have a
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: better chance at safety removing the tumor. Our little heavy
- 2:11:35Speaker 1: the Brave took on those two rounds of chemo like
- 2:11:40Speaker 1: Willy one shuff wood on the gridiron like an absolute savage. Unfortunately,
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: like Willy knows, you can put every ounce you have
- 2:11:49Speaker 1: out there in the outcome doesn't always favor you. Post
- 2:11:55Speaker 1: chemo scans showed the treatment was ineffective. Her team of
- 2:11:59Speaker 1: docs informed us that a eight to ten hour surgery
- 2:12:03Speaker 1: is what we're looking at to remove roughly ninety percent
- 2:12:07Speaker 1: of the tumor. My wife, being the absolute legend that
- 2:12:10Speaker 1: she is, did what she does, which is not fuck
- 2:12:12Speaker 1: around when it comes to our daughter. She immediately contacted
- 2:12:18Speaker 1: the best of the best to handle our daughter's situation,
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: which meant we will be flying to New York City
- 2:12:23Speaker 1: come on to have her operation at Memorial Sloan kettering
- 2:12:28Speaker 1: with a world renowned surgeon. Come on. During the first
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: chemo treatment, I did everything I could to deploy the
- 2:12:37Speaker 1: good strategy that proved impossible. But another powerful tool I
- 2:12:42Speaker 1: learned from you guys came into play and it changed
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: how it changed how myself and even my wife are
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: looking at these trying times. It's not we have to
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: spend four or five nights in the hospital watching our
- 2:12:57Speaker 1: sweet girl go through chemo. It's our sweet girl gets
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: to fight this thing in an amazing facility full of
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: incredible doctors and people. It's not we have to fly
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: to New York City for a terrifying surgery. But how
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: luck here we that we get to take our little
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: warrior to the best there is. God damn rest assured
- 2:13:22Speaker 1: that during all of this, our little Everly is unshaken, unfazed,
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: and showing us the meaning of resilience. She has taken
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: every appointment, every treatment, every needle poke and stride. She
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: also has no clue what she's teaching her mom and
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: Dada every time she walks to the hospital with her
- 2:13:41Speaker 1: bald head hooked up divs, acting like she owns the
- 2:13:52Speaker 1: place and putting a smile on every face that walks by.
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: We arrived in New York a few days ago and
- 2:14:00Speaker 1: are good spirits at having some fun as we prepare
- 2:14:04Speaker 1: for surgery on the twenty ninth. This is her national
- 2:14:08Speaker 1: championship game, her super Bowl. You might not know this
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: little girl, Oh Dylan, but believe me when I say
- 2:14:25Speaker 1: this one is built for the a gap. So wherever
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: you place your bets, put the mortgage on our heavy
- 2:14:40Speaker 1: to walk out on top, and a.
- 2:14:42Speaker 2: Prop bet.
- 2:14:47Speaker 1: Ah and a prop bet that she smiles the whole
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: way through it. Cancer fucked with the wrong toddler. One
- 2:14:57Speaker 1: last thing, huge shout out and a massive round of
- 2:15:01Speaker 1: applause to my wife and first ballot empty SICCO Hall
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: of Famer. She's advocated and fought with every fiber in
- 2:15:08Speaker 1: her being to make sure our daughter gets best possible care.
- 2:15:11Speaker 1: The tenacity, perseverance and strength you've shown our second to none,
- 2:15:16Speaker 1: and it's no question our little girl has noticed and
- 2:15:18Speaker 1: now exudes and now exudes those same attributes during the
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: last three months. You've led the charge from day one,
- 2:15:29Speaker 1: and I'll follow you into any battle that stands in
- 2:15:31Speaker 1: front of us. I love you more than the most.
- 2:15:35Speaker 1: Our support from family and friends has been beyond incredible.
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: But this is my official request to send the cavalry
- 2:15:43Speaker 1: the sickos. As we head into the unknown. We will
- 2:15:46Speaker 1: need all the prayers, positive thoughts, and healing vibes to
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: get through the next couple of weeks. From Dylan Payne,
- 2:15:52Speaker 1: who's sent in a bunch of photos.
- 2:16:05Speaker 3: First and foremost, pink hearts foreverly in the comments. And
- 2:16:13Speaker 3: I know that that feels very shallow and like whatever,
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: but like, send all the vibes. I'm I'm trying. Y'all
- 2:16:26Speaker 3: have seen me ugly ground the show, and I'm trying
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: really really hard not to because I grew up with
- 2:16:36Speaker 3: a girl that was my age that battled cancer, a
- 2:16:45Speaker 3: huge like we're talking grapefruit sized tumor in her brain,
- 2:16:50Speaker 3: like the type that most surgeons are telling her parents
- 2:16:56Speaker 3: it's not a shot. There is not a shot, like
- 2:17:01Speaker 3: cannot fix this, and they, uh, I gotta get through this.
- 2:17:11Speaker 3: Her saying that they stuck with was refused to lose,
- 2:17:19Speaker 3: and they went out of their way to find the
- 2:17:23Speaker 3: right surgeon, and they went out of their way to
- 2:17:26Speaker 3: find the right treatment, the right machines. And she's married
- 2:17:33Speaker 3: with kids now, like she is a full growed adult
- 2:17:44Speaker 3: and it was nothing short of a miracle. There's nothing
- 2:17:50Speaker 3: short of a miracle. And that's why, like when I
- 2:17:58Speaker 3: hear that story, I know that there's not like a
- 2:18:05Speaker 3: whole lot of hope in certain situations other than like
- 2:18:10Speaker 3: ever leaves a beast, she kick her ass. But I've
- 2:18:20Speaker 3: seen it, like I've truly seen it, and like they
- 2:18:28Speaker 3: have the best attitude imaginable.
- 2:18:30Speaker 1: Uh, imaginable. That entire email, like all the verbiage, all
- 2:18:40Speaker 1: the language, all the the optimism when it feels like
- 2:18:46Speaker 1: this would clearly be a situation where not a lot
- 2:18:50Speaker 1: of optimism exists. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, good luck. I
- 2:18:59Speaker 1: know he is gonna kick cancer's ass. Oh, all of
- 2:19:02Speaker 1: our thoughts and prayers, absolutely everything imaginable, vibe wise, towards you,
- 2:19:08Speaker 1: Dylan and your family. Your wife has seemed like a superstar. Everly,
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: it seemed like a superstar. He SAIDs on the twenty ninth, Yeah,
- 2:19:22Speaker 1: right now, it's we were recording on the twenty sixth.
- 2:19:25Speaker 1: This is just I'm so sorry.
- 2:19:26Speaker 4: May twenty four, two days ago he sent I had
- 2:19:28Speaker 4: to resent for formatting, but he sent it on May
- 2:19:30Speaker 4: twenty fourth.
- 2:19:31Speaker 1: He said this, but the surgeries on the twenty ninth. Yeah, yeah, yes, yes, yeah,
- 2:19:35Speaker 1: that's no. Listen right now it's the twenty seventh. Everly's
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: about to go into her national championship or super Bowl.
- 2:19:45Speaker 3: Dude, shout out that team and that surgeon, like the
- 2:19:51Speaker 3: team that's going to be like taking care of ever lead.
- 2:19:54Speaker 1: They're gonna rip they got this yeah yeah, mm hmm.
- 2:20:02Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 2:20:08Speaker 1: I'm like, uh, I just want to say this, dude.
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: I'm uh.
- 2:20:16Speaker 3: We say this way too much on the ship, but like, uh,
- 2:20:23Speaker 3: I'm so weak Sauce and the great scheme of things. Dude,
- 2:20:26Speaker 3: I'm so weak Sauce. It's not even funny. Dude. H
- 2:20:33Speaker 3: that guy's a pet stick, oh dude, Like for real,
- 2:20:40Speaker 3: I'm just a guy that loves quoting movies and like
- 2:20:43Speaker 3: says dumb shit that's funny. That's like that's literally all
- 2:20:46Speaker 3: I am. And thank you for listening, uh to the show? Dude,
- 2:20:53Speaker 3: Like sharing that so sick.
