  Wisdom that stands out. Have you ever met someone who

  didn't have to announce themselves, didn't have to
• 0:17
  dominate the room, yet somehow their presence was impossible to
• 0:21
  ignore? They weren't loud or flashy, but
• 0:24
  there was something solid about them, something steady,
• 0:27
  something different. That's the kind of wisdom
• 0:30
  Scripture talks about today, the kind that doesn't shout for
• 0:33
  attention but quietly stands out because of how it lives.

  Proverbs chapter 10, verse 8 says the wise of heart will
• 0:41
  receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.
• 0:45
  Wisdom starts with humility. It listens.
• 0:48
  It receives instruction. It doesn't rush to talk just to
• 0:52
  be heard. Foolishness, on the other hand,
• 0:54
  keeps talking, keeps reacting, keeps pushing its own way, and
• 0:58
  eventually trips over its own words.

  In a culture that rewards opinions and constant
• 1:03
  commentary, wisdom looks like slowing down and letting God
• 1:07
  shape your responses. Psalm 15 gives us a picture of
• 1:11
  what that wisdom looks like in everyday life.

  It talks about someone who doesn't slander with their
• 1:17
  tongue, who doesn't do evil to their neighbor, who refuses to
• 1:21
  tear down a friend. This kind of wisdom shows up in
• 1:25
  conversations, group chats, jokes that never get told, and
• 1:29
  rumors that never get repeated. It's integrity in how you treat
• 1:33
  people when it would be easier to blend in and go along.

  Then we see wisdom lived out in Acts chapter 6 through the life
• 1:41
  of Stephen. Acts chapter 6 verse 8 says that
• 1:44
  Stephen was full of grace and power, doing great wonders and
• 1:48
  signs among the people. What's striking is that Stephen
• 1:52
  wasn't chosen because he was the loudest or most impressive
• 1:55
  speaker. He was chosen because of his
• 1:57
  character, his faith, and his closeness to God.

  His wisdom wasn't just something he knew, it was something he
• 2:04
  lived. Grace flowed from him, power
• 2:07
  followed him. His life backed up his faith.
• 2:10
  This matters so much for us because real wisdom isn't proven
• 2:14
  by how much scripture you can quote or how strong your
• 2:17
  opinions are. It's proven by how you listen,
• 2:20
  how you speak, how you treat people, and how you stand firm
• 2:24
  when pressure comes. Wisdom stands out when you
• 2:27
  choose kindness over sarcasm, truth over gossip, obedience
• 2:31
  over impulse, and humility over pride.

  You don't have to be the loudest voice in the room to make an
• 2:36
  impact. When you stay close to Jesus,
• 2:40
  when you let His Word shape your heart, your life begins to speak
• 2:43
  for itself. And just like Steven, people may
• 2:47
  not always understand where your confidence comes from, but
• 2:50
  they'll notice the grace, the courage, and the power that flow
• 2:53
  from a life rooted in God. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me that true wisdom

  begins with listening to you. Teach me to receive Your Word

  with a humble heart and to let it guide how I speak and how I
• 3:07
  treat others. Guard my tongue, strengthen my

  character and help me to live with integrity.

  Fill me with grace and courage like Stephen so that my life

  reflects your truth and love wherever I go in Jesus name,
