- 0:51Happy to see you here.
- 0:53I hope you're doing well and hope you spend your New Year
- 0:56in a good way, uh, welcome.
- 0:58We got today.
- 0:59Let it be with us.
- 0:59She's a sim racer cosplayer and gaming sound designer.
- 1:03Welcome, Lena.
- 1:05Hey, nice to be here.
- 1:07Hello guys.
- 1:08Been a while.
- 1:10Hello.
- 1:11Hello.
- 1:11Um, let's start with, uh, I saw your last video, uh, on YouTube, uh, that
- 1:16you, uh, visited Thailand and can you tell more about car culture right here?
- 1:22And I know that you also working on your project car.
- 1:26So let's start with this.
- 1:29Yeah, sure.
- 1:30Um, so I somehow, um, dropped into the real car scene.
- 1:36Usually I was always around sim, sim rigs and sim racing, but, uh,
- 1:41somehow I drifted into the actual car scene, into the tuning scene.
- 1:45I was always into cars.
- 1:47So ever since I was a kid, I grew up around this, especially the Thai car
- 1:51scene, right, which, um, I'm half Thai.
- 1:54So every year we went, there was this huge car scene.
- 1:58Um, just happening.
- 2:01It's like it evolved in front of my eyes.
- 2:03Right.
- 2:04And, uh, as a kid, you, you take that in and you're like,
- 2:08wow, that's, that's crazy.
- 2:09Like, uh, that's all the cool stuff.
- 2:12And I want to do that too, one day.
- 2:14So I always came back from Thailand and, um, I told my friends, I was
- 2:19like, guys, guys, you won't believe me.
- 2:20Like there's like street racing happening on highways and stuff.
- 2:25Everyone's like, yeah, sure.
- 2:28You know, like whatever they, they can't imagine very much, but, um, yeah.
- 2:35So this year I actually took a camera with me and I was like, I have to film this,
- 2:39have to document this because, um, we all love racing and we all have motorsports,
- 2:46but I have a huge passion for cars, right?
- 2:48So I really wanted to, to capture the scene there.
- 2:51Cause I feel like no one really knows about Thailand car culture here.
- 2:56And, um, yeah, it was, uh, it was quite a journey because, uh, getting to know
- 3:03the people that take you to these like underground locations and meets was fairly
- 3:09difficult, but we were, we just got lucky.
- 3:12Uh, we were so lucky that the first guy who was our Uber driver just happened to
- 3:16be, uh, uh, I don't want to say street racer because we have the wrong picture of
- 3:23it, but they, they build cars to, to race, uh, In locations that are quiet, right?
- 3:29And he just happened to be one of those people.
- 3:32So we were telling him about car culture and stuff.
- 3:36And he was like, Oh yes, yes, yes.
- 3:37I built this.
- 3:38And he was showing us his car, which was like a Mitsubishi Evo, completely tuned.
- 3:44And, um, yeah, this way we got into, uh, the underground car scene
- 3:49in Thailand and we got to film it.
- 3:51So, uh, if you guys don't know it, it's on my YouTube, I'm
- 3:55starting to do more videos.
- 3:56Uh, those that know me probably know me mostly from.
- 4:00Simracing and Twitch, but I'm trying new things now as well.
- 4:04So it's yeah, that's really cool You know, I've been to Thailand long time ago.
- 4:10Didn't really see, you know, a lot of modded and Cool cars here, but when I've
- 4:16been into Malaysia, which is not far away.
- 4:19I saw that even You know people who's working in taxi.
- 4:24They got This, uh, yeah.
- 4:26Little cute cars with the cool reams and, you know, they, uh, with, with
- 4:30low suspension, it's really cool, you know, like, uh, even on the
- 4:35streets, uh, you, you see a lot of, uh, motor than tuning cars.
- 4:38It's, it's really cool , it, it's, it's much easier there to, um,
- 4:43which you, uh, express yourself.
- 4:45Mm-hmm . Um, uh, in the car scene, but not just in the car scene.
- 4:49I feel like also as a person in fashion and stuff.
- 4:52I feel like Southeast Asia really likes to express themselves in certain ways and
- 4:58it's it's a breath of, uh, fresh air if you come from places like here, I think.
- 5:04Where are you from, by the way, love?
- 5:07Um, I'm from Kazakhstan, from Almaty.
- 5:09Uh, you know, we got some car culture right here as well.
- 5:13Um, but.
- 5:15It's not really huge, uh, but as we got a racing circuit right now, I hope it
- 5:22will grow Um from time to time so we got a really cool bmw club here with
- 5:27a lot of you know, classic bmws and Some modern ones as well And I think
- 5:35we got porsche club also And you know some people really like drift here
- 5:44Yeah, drifting is really popular right here.
- 5:47So we got two drifting tracks.
- 5:49Uh, uh, that's, uh, next to the Sokol international circuit, which, uh, work,
- 5:56uh, should work, uh, this summer already for some testing days and some stuff.
- 6:01Uh, and other one, uh, it's like 50 kilometers, 70
- 6:05kilometers also from Almaty.
- 6:07That's a huge, uh, drift, uh, track, uh, which people using for, um, Competitions
- 6:15and for practice sessions as well.
- 6:20And so, yeah.
- 6:20Nice.
- 6:21Nice.
- 6:21Nice.
- 6:22I don't know anything about Kazakhstan, uh, car culture, if I'm honest.
- 6:26So it's also really, I guess, an insight I've heard very.
- 6:31It's, it's really funny actually, because, uh, maybe 10 years ago we had only SUVs,
- 6:37you know, like Land Cruiser Prado, uh, or something like this, uh, that, uh, yeah.
- 6:42Like the favorite car here for people, uh, but right now I see, you know, a lot
- 6:48of smaller cars, a lot of Chinese cars as we living next to China and some people
- 6:55modding the Zikr, for example, that's a Chinese, uh, top tier electric car.
- 7:02Uh, so they trying to boost, uh, and, uh, like electric motors and all this stuff.
- 7:09Uh, it's really cool.
- 7:10So, yeah, it's cool to see that, uh, right now, uh, in Almaty, you can see different,
- 7:16uh, kind of cars and not only SUVs.
- 7:20I'm happy because I'm not a big fan of SUVs, to be honest.
- 7:24I feel you.
- 7:24There are, I think there are some, like a few expectations
- 7:28I have, where I like SUVs, but.
- 7:30Mostly I agree with you and then it's not my thing as well.
- 7:36I know that you got a BMW first series, uh, can you tell me
- 7:40about plans for this project car?
- 7:43What do you want to do with it?
- 7:44And do you want to like race it on a racing track?
- 7:48Or do you want to go to the car show with it?
- 7:53Yeah, uh, uh, my plans are now to just repair it and have it working.
- 8:00Because, uh, BMWs are notorious for just staying in the garage, right?
- 8:06But, um, yeah, once it's back on, on running perfectly again, I do want to
- 8:12take it to the Nürburgring, so I do actually want to, uh, drive over the
- 8:15track currently I'm putting on some proper, um, tires, uh, some, some better
- 8:21specs because the ones that I have run right now, they're mostly just for show.
- 8:25Uh, and then I put on a new suspension.
- 8:28Um, Yeah, depending on if I do it this year, I wanted to put on, um, a downpipe,
- 8:36an intercooler, the typical BMW tunes, right, and just go for a bit more
- 8:41horsepower and, um, yeah, a tune and then it's, it's basically, it's my, my dream
- 8:49car, because the one series, the E82.
- 8:52It's my dream car.
- 8:53Um, there's the one M which is my absolute unaffordable dream car because it's so
- 8:59expensive, but the one 35, I just comes a second because it's the car before that.
- 9:05And I, I liked the engine more.
- 9:07It's the N 55.
- 9:08It has the, in my opinion, better sound and it has more reliability and I'm not
- 9:15rich, so I need to, I need a reliable car, you know, so a reliable car, so.
- 9:21Yeah, it's really nice.
- 9:24I used to really like BMWs back in the days.
- 9:28I'm a big fan of E46 third series and I really like the old fifth
- 9:33series, which is like E34, I think.
- 9:38But I'm not a big fan of modern BMWs, unfortunately, so
- 9:42they look a bit weird for me.
- 9:44Um, so I really like the classic design and, uh, I think the last BMW, which I
- 9:50really like, uh, that's this first, um, series, uh, BMW, which you got, uh, so
- 9:56yeah, after this one, uh, not a big fan of design, unfortunately, guys, sorry.
- 10:03It stops for me at the F series.
- 10:06I think that one was still all right.
- 10:08Not all of the models, but I think the F 80.
- 10:11The F 82, that was still really nice, the, the F Gen M3 and the M4 from
- 10:19that generation was also really nice.
- 10:21But, um, I wouldn't say I'm a, I'm not a fan of the new ones.
- 10:25They get, they take time to get used to, I think, like, the
- 10:29new M2 looks, um Interesting.
- 10:33Uh, I, I don't know, maybe with the time they get normal, you know,
- 10:39because, uh, this was always the case with BMW when the E46 came out,
- 10:43people were like, Oh, what is this?
- 10:47It doesn't look anything like the E30.
- 10:49And now we love the E46.
- 10:51It's like a classic model.
- 10:53I think this will repeat itself over and over.
- 10:56I think that's the same with the five series from the E
- 11:00generation, the late E generation.
- 11:02When it came out, people were like, Oh my God, it's ugly.
- 11:05And Top Gear was like, Oh, it's the worst looking car ever.
- 11:09But now, like, I think like it's already 18 years old or something.
- 11:15People call it the best, the best looking five series.
- 11:18So I wonder how we will look back at the current generation.
- 11:23Um, BMWs because we make fun of them now and they look very different, but.
- 11:30I wonder how we look back at them in 15 years, if you say,
- 11:34Oh, that's a classic, you know?
- 11:36Oh, with the big nose and the pig nose, that's a classic.
- 11:41Well, who knows, maybe, yeah.
- 11:43Yeah, I think so, because, um, they're really leaning far out of the window of,
- 11:49of their usual design, of their classic design, so, it's very distinctive, I'm
- 11:54pretty sure that, well, still people calling, because it just looks like
- 11:58a pig, I guess, it looks like a pig nose, so the car will always be known
- 12:02for that, but I'm pretty sure that it's, like, having a distinctive look.
- 12:06So I think 15, give it 15 years, it will probably age all right,
- 12:11but, um, I agree with you because we are from a different generation.
- 12:16Those cars are just, the older cars also appear a bit more to me currently.
- 12:22Yeah, so I kind of agree with you, maybe in the future, like in 10 years, we're
- 12:26going to say like, wow, that's the most beautiful BMWs that we had in the history.
- 12:33Yeah, and then the BMWs that come out at that time will be like,
- 12:36oh god, what are they doing?
- 12:37Go back to the other design, yeah.
- 12:40Yeah.
- 12:41So, yeah.
- 12:42I wonder how they're Yeah, going to make new jokes, yeah.
- 12:45Yeah.
- 12:47Yeah, what are your favorite cars?
- 12:49Yeah.
- 12:49Oh, my favorite car.
- 12:50I think everybody knows that this is a Porsche 911.
- 12:54Absolutely my favorite.
- 12:56I really like.
- 12:56Which one?
- 12:57I think I really like old generation.
- 13:00The last one is, uh, is really cool.
- 13:02Um, my favorite is from 2007, something like this.
- 13:06I really like this, uh, the body of the Porsche.
- 13:09It's really nice.
- 13:10Uh, and I'm a big fan of Targa.
- 13:13So it looks really, um, I know classy and nice looking at the same time.
- 13:20I love it.
- 13:21Nice, nice.
- 13:22Are you, uh, driving a Porsche already, perhaps?
- 13:25No, unfortunately no, but hopefully in the future I'm
- 13:29going to take the 911 for a ride.
- 13:32You were, uh, you were in motorsports, right?
- 13:37Yes, uh, I've been into racing.
- 13:40Um, I was working, um, As a coach on the racing track also after my racing
- 13:46career, uh, then I moved to sim racing.
- 13:49So that was like this, uh, yeah, I raced some open wheelers, uh, before that I
- 13:53did some karting, uh, won four times.
- 13:56Championship of Kazakhstan.
- 13:58Uh, and then, yeah, unfortunately I didn't continue my racing
- 14:02career just because, um,
- 14:06they completely, so my team who sponsored me, they completely shut
- 14:09down the program here in Kazakhstan.
- 14:12Um, and yeah, then, you know, the COVID happened and all this stuff.
- 14:17So we, we just have to, uh, start, I started streaming at this days
- 14:22and I started Uh, iRacing and, uh, full time simracing also.
- 14:27Uh, but I'm so happy that things, uh, went this way.
- 14:30Uh, because, uh, streaming gave me a lot of, um, experience, new
- 14:35experience, uh, which is, uh, makes me a, like, better person every day.
- 14:40And, you know, you just, in streaming and in simracing, you're growing every
- 14:45day, and you, like, you never stop, like, uh, The same as you building
- 14:49your rig, you can stop this process.
- 14:51Ah, it's a downward spiral, yeah.
- 14:54You always make something new, yeah.
- 14:58Yeah, true.
- 15:00So, I know that you're doing some cosplays, and you're also working
- 15:05as a gaming sound designer, and you're also a sim racer and streamer.
- 15:10Can you tell me what was your, like, first activity which you started to do?
- 15:16Yeah.
- 15:18So, I always did cosplay, that like is just, I feel like that's such a, like a
- 15:24separate part from, from everything else I do, because that's like my, everyone
- 15:29has something they like to do, like, some people like to go and, uh, I don't
- 15:34know, plant flowers or something, right?
- 15:37Like, you have like this, this peaceful thing that you do.
- 15:41For me, that was always, uh, preparing cosplays, your outfits, and, uh, I'm
- 15:46big into fashion and that's also how I got into like cosplay and stuff
- 15:51because the fashion of anime and, um, of, I don't know, games I always loved.
- 15:57And I was like, I want to do this too, of course.
- 16:00And I saw other cosplayers like, uh, like Imiru and everyone.
- 16:05I was like, yeah.
- 16:05I want to do this too, you know, and, um, this is just a very separate
- 16:11thing from everything as like my, my wholly untouched, like I always
- 16:15try and cosplay every week, right.
- 16:17Or do something for that.
- 16:19But, um, uh, sim racing, I'm honest.
- 16:23I got into it super randomly, like my, so I didn't even know I was sim racing.
- 16:29Um, my dad, he had like a sim rig.
- 16:33Like not a SimRig, but like he had like this old Thrustmaster, you know, like, uh,
- 16:39and, um, I played on it as a, as a kid.
- 16:42I didn't even know what it was, but he had this old, uh, Formula One game.
- 16:46And, um, I grew up around those things, I guess.
- 16:50And then my dad always tried to, to push me into liking
- 16:55cars and motorsports and stuff.
- 16:57And he, he also, um, uh, So when, when the PlayStation one came out, he was like,
- 17:05ah, yeah, I'm going to buy this so I can play Gran Turismo and you can play Spyro.
- 17:11But we ended up playing Gran Turismo together, right?
- 17:14So I got my first feel like really, really early, but I don't, I don't think that
- 17:20was the Simracing we know nowadays, right?
- 17:23But, um, it was more like arcade, right.
- 17:26Um, and then, um, this like how I actually got into like normal sim racing for me
- 17:34was just through, uh, making liveries in Gran Turismo, you know, like, I just
- 17:41like making cars, like that was all.
- 17:44And then I wanted to show the liveries.
- 17:45So I just drove and I guess I had a talent or something,
- 17:52cause I got better fairly quick.
- 17:53Yeah.
- 17:54And then I tried out, um, cause, uh, Gran Turismo was not really that
- 18:00serious at sometimes you just kept punting each other out and stuff.
- 18:04It was really dirty racing.
- 18:06So it's like, I want something more serious.
- 18:08And the most serious thing that was, it was eye racing.
- 18:10Right.
- 18:11And I, I actually tried it first.
- 18:13I was like, Wow, this is awful.
- 18:16This is terrible.
- 18:18It was really bad at the start.
- 18:20So I didn't pick it up.
- 18:21Then I left it for like, um, like, um, a month and I came back and I just drove.
- 18:29And I was starting to feel like, cause I had a direct drive then, I was like,
- 18:33wow, this feels amazing, you know.
- 18:36And somehow it didn't stop anymore.
- 18:39It was like an addiction, you know, like you had these small rewards every
- 18:43time you were getting faster and your rank was getting up and you were, it
- 18:48just, I didn't even like, I don't know.
- 18:51It just came naturally for some reason.
- 18:53And all of a sudden all the people came like, uh, Dan Suzuki, you and everyone
- 19:00was like, all of a sudden around me, I was like, wow, that's like a whole community.
- 19:04And, um, Yeah, I really, I actually did really love the time when I was, you
- 19:10know, regularly also streaming and, and driving and was having fun, you know, so.
- 19:16Yeah, it's really cool.
- 19:17You know, um, our racing community is truly amazing.
- 19:21Uh, so when I started to stream, a lot of streamers started to support me with
- 19:25their raids and a lot of people came to help like with, you know, whatever, some
- 19:31settings, some, you know, maybe some tips on track in ovals, uh, especially because
- 19:38I was completely noob in ovals when I started racing, never tried this before.
- 19:42Um, and I really like this category right now, really like
- 19:47to do it from time to time.
- 19:49Um, can you tell me how was it for you to like develop your driving skills?
- 19:55Because I know you Like over 4k iRacing, which is quite high, so that's
- 20:00like top 3 percent of all iRacers.
- 20:04Um, so yeah, I would like to know more about this.
- 20:08I'll be honest, I was just driving.
- 20:12I, I, I really just like, I think I'm a person like if I really have fun
- 20:17with something and I'm like fascinated, I want to get better at something.
- 20:21I just keep going.
- 20:22Like I cannot stop it's, but almost every game it's like you get hooked and you,
- 20:28you keep pushing yourself to get better.
- 20:30I feel like, and, um, uh, I work for a sim racing title and, um, I, what I will
- 20:39be saying is completely unbiased, right?
- 20:41But in my opinion, from all of the sim titles I've ever played and
- 20:45racing games, iRacing has always felt.
- 20:49The, like, I am connected to the car, you know, I like, I know what it's gonna do.
- 20:55That's why it was so easy for me to just, if you know what's gonna happen,
- 21:01if you know what's gonna happen, if you go into the turn, if you know what to
- 21:03expect from the car, if you know what the tires are doing, if you know the,
- 21:08you know, if the physics all make sense.
- 21:11Then it's really easy, I think, to, oh, easy, but it's easier to, to learn, you
- 21:17know, um, and yeah, that's why I think, uh, out of all of the sim racing titles,
- 21:24iRacing was just the most natural for me, because I really struggled when I
- 21:29tried ACC, I don't know if you ever.
- 21:33Yeah, I'm with you in this, I think.
- 21:38It's, it's, it's much, it's much different, right?
- 21:40And all of a sudden it's like, um.
- 21:43All of the cables are plugged in different, uh, cables, uh, connections,
- 21:48and I was like Hmm, this feels not familiar with me, so I struggled a bit
- 21:52more there, but on iRacing I really felt like it just all came sort of natural.
- 22:00Yeah, I agree with you in this, um, I think iRacing, uh, one of the best
- 22:04simulator for me, uh, right now, because of community, because of, uh,
- 22:09how you feel the car with, uh, force feedback, with, uh, like, uh, how
- 22:13you, uh, See the track with your eyes on the monitor and all this stuff.
- 22:18Um, I think that I was struggling with, uh, set a course competition a little bit.
- 22:23So when I, um, tried some races in it after racing, I felt really weird,
- 22:28especially with, uh, with breaks.
- 22:30Um, and I don't really like that.
- 22:33You really have to set up the tire pressure.
- 22:36Um, yeah, you know, pretty.
- 22:40Careful, uh, so I don't really like this thing about ACC and also performance on
- 22:47triple screen So I had a 1080 ti these days and it was not really good for
- 22:52me Uh, so racing, uh was a lot better smoother with fps with everything But
- 22:59I think the closest simulator, uh So transition to air factor 2 went kind
- 23:05of smooth for me after racing Um, it feels really Really good, um, and
- 23:12quite close to what we got in iRacing.
- 23:14I think that was the easiest, uh, simulator, um, transition for me.
- 23:20So yeah, but I agree with you about ACC, just, that's not my
- 23:24type of a simulator, unfortunately.
- 23:26I know that many people like it.
- 23:27Unfortunately too, because it's super pretty, it's like, it looks amazing.
- 23:32I love, I love everything about the game.
- 23:34It's just, it's just I hate that I suck at it, you know, I wish I was better at it.
- 23:39So I really tried it, but I think once you, you figured it out, I'm
- 23:44pretty sure it's like every other sim.
- 23:47So, yeah.
- 23:48Yeah, true.
- 23:49Uh, what's your favorite series in the racing and, uh, what, uh,
- 23:53do you race, uh, more and, uh, can you tell me also what do you prefer
- 23:58spring races or endurance races?
- 24:02Um, my favorite series, actually, I think a lot of the, like, if my, if
- 24:07my viewers from Twitch were still here, they would be able to tell this
- 24:10immediately, which is like, uh, TCR.
- 24:12I love TCR.
- 24:13I don't know why it's, uh, I, I, I'm not even a fan of front wheel drive cars, but
- 24:19it was so fun because they were, they were like low powered cars compared to GT3s.
- 24:25And you could just really.
- 24:28race hard, right?
- 24:29I love that.
- 24:29You could, you could, the cars didn't immediately explode, you know, it was
- 24:35really fun to just, uh, go door to door.
- 24:37And, um, I actually like short races more.
- 24:42I am going to be honest, I, I'm, I get too anxious, uh, during long races.
- 24:48Uh, they make me really anxious.
- 24:50Like, especially if it's with a team, um, then I don't want
- 24:56to let the teammates hang.
- 24:58You know, it's, it feels like a big responsibility.
- 25:01Like if you mess up, you ruined it for everyone.
- 25:04So, yeah.
- 25:06So I, I enjoyed the shorter races a bit more.
- 25:10So.
- 25:13Okay, I think that from my side I enjoy, um, both, so I really like to do sprint
- 25:20races and endurances because here's a different, um, strategies, uh, endurance
- 25:25races, so you just, uh, have to save fuel, you have to, uh, bring the car in
- 25:31one piece, so it's really cool for me.
- 25:34I really like it.
- 25:36Um, favorite series.
- 25:38I think everybody knows that this is a Porsche Cup for me.
- 25:41Uh, but I do like TCR because, you know, we did some community races with TCR.
- 25:46And I really like this, uh, uh, feeling when you break in.
- 25:50Uh, the back sliding a little bit.
- 25:53Yeah, the back slides into the apex.
- 25:56It's a really nice ceiling.
- 25:57Yeah.
- 25:57Yeah, it's, it's really cool.
- 25:59And you just, uh, like go in sliding with four wheels into the apex and then
- 26:05just go on throttle and car, uh, like.
- 26:08Straight, uh, to, to the exit.
- 26:11And it's really cool.
- 26:11So I really like, I think that TCR is a really fun, uh, series.
- 26:16And I really like that in iRacing we got different series and different categories.
- 26:21Uh, so you can jump to like front wheel drive cars.
- 26:24You can drive to the cars without traction and ABS.
- 26:27You can drive GT3s.
- 26:29You can go to ovals, uh, do some rallycross and all this stuff.
- 26:35I think, uh, the camera disappeared on stream,
- 26:41but I'm still there in Teams.
- 26:43Yeah, well, I will check.
- 26:45Wait a moment, guys.
- 26:52Hello, Cush, by the way.
- 26:57Slightly technical, uh, issues.
- 27:00Yeah.
- 27:00Are you a part of the sim sim racing team right now?
- 27:03Or, or not, or you, you just, uh, you know, like racing on your own?
- 27:10Usually I just like to race on my own with my friends, and then we
- 27:15just choose a silly name for a team and we sign up for our races on
- 27:20the weekends sometimes, or events.
- 27:24Uh, it was back briefly.
- 27:26It's not on my side, right.
- 27:28Or mm-hmm . Yeah, that's on my side.
- 27:30No worries.
- 27:31Good.
- 27:31Okay.
- 27:33But, um.
- 27:35Yeah, I think, um, the, the most, like I was in a few teams, I
- 27:41guess, uh, the team that was the most serious, uh, was, um, RSR.
- 27:48I guess they were taking things very serious.
- 27:51Um, and, oh God, my ex teammates are probably really disappointed in not
- 27:57being able to name all of the team names.
- 28:00But I was in quite a few teams, but I, like I said, like long
- 28:06endurance races were never my thing.
- 28:08I did, I never wanted to have the responsibility of crashing everyone.
- 28:13So, but it's, if it works, it's, it feels like very fulfilling.
- 28:18Like I can't get by people like to do it, especially with the team together.
- 28:22If you get to the finish line after two to four hours.
- 28:25It's uh, really fulfilling
- 28:29That's great.
- 28:30Yeah, uh, so, uh, i've been a part of olympus sports a long time and you know
- 28:37It's really funny because we started team was like two three people only and right
- 28:42now we got A lot of people in the team.
- 28:44I don't know all of them.
- 28:47So it's really cool how teams are growing and the overall community
- 28:52in racing is growing as well.
- 28:54So can you tell me more about gaming sound design which you're doing and
- 29:03how long are you in this industry and what do you like the most about it?
- 29:08Okay, so of course I cannot say Uh, things, uh, in detail,
- 29:14cause, well, NDA, right?
- 29:17So, I can't really get into details of things, but, um, I am working, um,
- 29:25Well, I'm part of a team that works on, um, a sim racing title and, um, we're
- 29:31making, uh, we get to record sounds, which is, um, a really nice experience.
- 29:36If you get to see certain cars you've never seen before, this close and
- 29:43you get to touch them, you get to work with them, which is really cool.
- 29:47You get to know the teams and stuff.
- 29:50Um, it's always really like, um, like I'm, I'm really fortunate to.
- 29:56be able to work in a field where I have actual, like,
- 30:00personal interests in, right?
- 30:02Um, honestly, I never thought I was gonna end up in the game development space.
- 30:08Because I was more so in the overall audio space, but when the opportunity
- 30:13opened up for me, since I love motor sports, since I love sim racing, um,
- 30:18sure I took the, it was basically right after university, right.
- 30:22And, uh, the slot was open.
- 30:24So I was like, why not?
- 30:26You know, and, uh, I got the chance to work along, uh,
- 30:31really professional people.
- 30:33Learn some stuff.
- 30:36It's a huge stress sometimes because working in game development
- 30:42in 2025 in general is It's very stressful because, uh, yeah, it's,
- 30:50it's different times now, right?
- 30:52Games, they do ship way too early in a way too early state.
- 30:58People get to test them.
- 31:00Um, you don't always have to expect constructive criticism.
- 31:05It's gamers, like you get a very, very unfiltered criticism, but
- 31:11you'll definitely learn to learn.
- 31:14To deal with it, and I think this entire job also made me stronger as
- 31:20a person because, um, If you are, like, you are just part of this entire
- 31:26project that constantly stands in the light of a lot of things, right?
- 31:32Like, um, if you, like, any game that's in an early state and releases, And,
- 31:39uh, things are not really that finished.
- 31:41There's always this, this, uh, feedback that comes in.
- 31:45And if this is your first title that you work on in game development,
- 31:50it's overwhelming at first.
- 31:52You have to imagine this, like you, it's not you, you're just part of it,
- 31:57but all of these people talk about this and you're just on this ship and it's,
- 32:04it's very overwhelming at first, but.
- 32:07You start to really get tough skin, you know, and I feel like with
- 32:11everything I do, it's cosplay because you can also imagine that being a
- 32:15cosplayer is, is the same thing, right?
- 32:19You put yourself out there and people are just gonna say things.
- 32:22You know this as a streamer as well, right?
- 32:24Like, when you start first, you have like, you're like, uh, you
- 32:29don't have tough skin yet, right?
- 32:33And I feel like over the last year, I really got some tough
- 32:36skin from, from all of the things that I did, if it was cosplaying.
- 32:39If it was game development and getting used to how, how things go
- 32:44there, you know, so it's, um, huge.
- 32:48Like, I'm experiencing a huge character development arc, you know, so, yeah.
- 32:56Yeah, I know that, uh, you know, you're gaining experience, you're also feeling
- 33:00more confident and comfortable, uh, in the, like, in, in job where you're
- 33:04working and, uh, with more experience you're just, like, feeling better.
- 33:09Uh, so when I started streaming I also was really shy, was, you know,
- 33:14getting nervous on the stream, uh, usually, but right now it's like,
- 33:18natural, uh, for me and I really like, uh, to communicate with community
- 33:24and also racing in the same time.
- 33:27Um, and so speaking of this, um, how, how's, uh, for you to balance, uh,
- 33:34with racing and, uh, talking at the same time on the stream and how is
- 33:38it to balance with also, uh, being a cosplayer and, uh, game sound designer?
- 33:47I'm really bad with talking and racing.
- 33:50Um, this is, this is why I actually didn't like streaming and racing at
- 33:54first, cause I kept performing worse.
- 33:57I don't know if you'd experienced the same.
- 33:59If by now you're probably natural at it, but at the start
- 34:03was really difficult for me.
- 34:04I would end up way worse than if I was just racing by myself.
- 34:08Right.
- 34:09But, um, I guess I've gotten better at it, but I keep crashing.
- 34:17Sometimes if I rechat and do stupid stuff, like the typical streamer stuff that we
- 34:23get them called out for on YouTube, you know, when we end up in those compilations
- 34:27and do something stupid, uh, But yeah, those things happen sometimes, you know,
- 34:34so I was not, uh, I was not really that good at it, but I, I got better at it
- 34:39and, uh, balancing all things together, I guess, um, it's also a reason why I
- 34:46don't simrace that much, um, I'm pretty sure you can imagine that if you work,
- 34:51like if this is your work, you work on a title that after eight, nine, 10 hours of
- 34:58work today, you don't want to sit in the rig and play the other sim racing titles.
- 35:04So I like to have a dynamic currently.
- 35:07So after I'm done with work, I like to cosplay or I like to work on
- 35:14my car or go for a ride, you know?
- 35:17So.
- 35:18I like to have some sort of dynamic because Otherwise, you feel, I feel
- 35:24like, and that's with anything, you burn yourself out, you know?
- 35:29Yeah, when a lot of stuff running around you, yeah, it's really hard
- 35:33to balance all these things around.
- 35:35And I understand you, that's the reason why we didn't see you
- 35:39streaming and racing and racing.
- 35:41Long time, uh, but hopefully you're going to have more free time.
- 35:45So we'll see you once again on Twitch.
- 35:47Oh, for sure.
- 35:48Yeah, for sure.
- 35:49I, I just got, um, access back to my Twitch as well.
- 35:53So, uh, I lost access to my Twitch account because, um, the, the old phone number.
- 36:01So I had, I had a phone and it was set up a two step verification and
- 36:06I, I got a new contract and, um, The phone, the person from the phone, um,
- 36:13contract thingy, he was like, yeah, yeah, we can take your new phone number.
- 36:16It's not a problem.
- 36:17And right before I went to Thailand.
- 36:19It didn't work and I lost my phone number.
- 36:22So I lost everything that was connected to the two step verification.
- 36:26I was so, I was so mad.
- 36:28Yeah.
- 36:28Including my bank and you're like in a different country, right?
- 36:32I hate this guy.
- 36:32I swear to God, this guy.
- 36:37Yeah.
- 36:37But I will be back.
- 36:39Definitely streaming.
- 36:40Um, I take it easy with sim racing.
- 36:42I don't think I will ever try and be super competitive and put in.
- 36:46Okay.
- 36:47six hours of, uh, practice again, I just try and enjoy, you know,
- 36:52like, so you would like to have more relaxing sim racing, I guess.
- 36:58Yeah, relaxing, like, as relaxing as it can be, you know, but,
- 37:03um, yeah, just not take it.
- 37:06I try and not take it too serious because I'm pretty sure like, you
- 37:10know it yourself, like, we are just competitive people when we race.
- 37:15And it can sometimes be consuming the fun, I feel like, especially
- 37:22when you're getting too competitive.
- 37:24So, I just like to keep it fun, I hope, and then See where that goes.
- 37:30I missed so much stuff on iRacing.
- 37:32You guys have so many new cars.
- 37:33You have so many new things
- 37:38Yeah, I don't know if you try rain in iRacing.
- 37:40We got this right now.
- 37:42Not yet But I saw it and I was like, oh god, that looks painful
- 37:46It's gonna be fun for around a week and then everyone's gonna be Uh,
- 37:50worried about their rank, right?
- 37:52I know it's, uh, you know, it's really fun.
- 37:54Uh, I really like rain races with Formal 1600.
- 37:58It feels really good on track in the rain conditions.
- 38:02Porsche Cup also really fun, uh, especially, you know, when people
- 38:05just, uh, starting to rush, they, uh, just fail their break ins
- 38:11and you gain a lot of positions.
- 38:13Uh, but most of the time I.
- 38:16I was surprised that races, uh, kind of clean and nice in rain, so just people
- 38:22trying to be really cautious and careful on track, it's, uh, it's nice to see.
- 38:26Yeah.
- 38:28I thought it was gonna be that rain would be there, and for
- 38:31a week everyone loves rain.
- 38:34And after a week, everyone's like, Oh, no, my rating.
- 38:36I'm not going to drive.
- 38:37So the FO, uh, what's it called?
- 38:40SLF goes lower.
- 38:42I was expecting it to be more like that.
- 38:44But it's good to hear that people actually enjoy it.
- 38:47So Yeah, I think people enjoy it.
- 38:50And also, you know, having, you know, rain, like every week in some
- 38:54series, it just from time to time.
- 38:58I think it just connected to the real life weather as well.
- 39:02Oh, really?
- 39:03Yeah, it's like Ah, that's so cool.
- 39:05So after location you have the.
- 39:08Yes, the extra.
- 39:09Oh, that's so cool.
- 39:10Yeah, it's really cool.
- 39:11And we got the series which got rain all weeks in our racing.
- 39:18I think it's with Ferrari GT3.
- 39:20Um, but yeah, on the series like Porsche Cup, I think previous season we had
- 39:26like two, three weeks with rain, there was Red Bull Ring, Suzuka, and I think
- 39:32another one track, rest of the race has been with a sunny and good weather.
- 39:37Yeah.
- 39:37Um, so yeah, just, uh, people who don't like rain and, uh, they
- 39:43got no clue how to race in it.
- 39:45Uh, they just can skip few weeks and, uh, still gain some points to championship.
- 39:50Um, so it's, it's really cool, uh, because, you know, some people were
- 39:54joking about that, uh, when iRacing added, uh, the, uh, the day switching,
- 40:01uh, here being all sunset races.
- 40:05Every time, um, for the, like, a few months or so, so people been
- 40:10joking that it's going to be, like, in all series will have rain, whole
- 40:15month or two, but that didn't happen like this, so yeah, everybody been,
- 40:20you know, scary, scared about this.
- 40:24Yeah, I remember people were so hyped for Reign, that's when I was still playing.
- 40:28Every time they did a stream or something, the chat was going like, Oh, now they're
- 40:33going to reveal, like, surprise Reign in Daytona 24 hours or something.
- 40:38And I was like, there was actual conspiracy that this was going to happen.
- 40:43Think I was hoping like, hopefully they do this.
- 40:46That would actually be super cool.
- 40:47But sadly that never happens.
- 40:49Uh, iRacing has have wasted their chance there to make the coolest, uh, the
- 40:55coolest, uh, I guess, release of their range just randomly make it happen during.
- 41:00like a big event, right?
- 41:01That would have been so cool.
- 41:02But yeah, I've, uh, I've seen some videos about how you guys
- 41:07have like the dry line and the wet lines and the puddles and stuff.
- 41:12And they are like form really realistically.
- 41:15So I think because I want to go to the Nordschleife this, uh, this year, I,
- 41:21I might just give it a try, I guess.
- 41:23Is it the updated version of the Nordschleife?
- 41:25Do you know?
- 41:26Like the Um, I think so, that not, I'm not sure if they're planning to update
- 41:33it, the last track which they updated was Spa Frankenchamp, so it's updated
- 41:38right now, actually the newest version we got in a racing, it's really cool.
- 41:44Um, also speaking about Nordschleife and all this practice, we got also
- 41:48BMW M2, you can try it, so I think it should be quite close to your car.
- 41:54Oh, yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, there's still quite some difference, but yeah,
- 41:59I guess from the, which one is it?
- 42:02Um, it's the first generation M2, right?
- 42:06So it might even have a dissimilar engine inside the M55.
- 42:11so.
- 42:11I think so.
- 42:12Yeah, so, that's cool.
- 42:14No, I, I think, I don't know which engine it has, but, yeah,
- 42:18I will definitely try it out.
- 42:20Did you try the M2s?
- 42:21Are they fun?
- 42:21Yes, I tried, uh, you know, we did a lot of races, uh, during week, uh, 14th,
- 42:27because we had, uh, This time, uh, it was really fun, uh, because we've been racing
- 42:34at spa and, uh, here's a cool draft.
- 42:36Uh, all cars are really close to each other and it's, uh, it's bring a
- 42:42lot of fun and a lot of cool fights.
- 42:44And, uh, compared to GR86 and, uh, MX5, uh, this car is more predictable for me.
- 42:51So it's, uh, like, uh, less on the theory.
- 42:55Uh, it's really predictable when it's starting to lose the rear,
- 43:01uh, you can catch it really easily.
- 43:03So yeah, I really like this car.
- 43:05And, um, yeah, guys, if you're starting a racing, I highly
- 43:08recommend to try this car.
- 43:09This is free car in a racing.
- 43:11Uh, this is also cool.
- 43:14Nice.
- 43:15Uh, did you like the GR 86?
- 43:18Oh, no, really.
- 43:19Doesn't sound like you.
- 43:19Yeah.
- 43:20You know, I'm, I'm struggling with the MX 5 and GR86, uh, because
- 43:25this car feels really weird for me.
- 43:27So I don't know how to balance it for the corner, how to make it,
- 43:32you know, uh, work on like 100%.
- 43:36Uh, let's say like this.
- 43:37So it's for me either, uh, you know, it's like, it's like, I'm loading
- 43:42tires on like 60 percent or I'm just overloading them and, you know,
- 43:46car, uh, doing a really weird thing.
- 43:48So I just really can't find the balance on this car.
- 43:51I know why.
- 43:52Um, speaking about the MX 5, MX 5 is, uh, trying to kill you, especially with,
- 43:57uh, with the advanced set for my racing.
- 44:01It's just really tricky with cold tires, uh, Yeah.
- 44:04We've been doing some community racing, uh, races recently, and
- 44:08I've been struggling with MX 5.
- 44:10Uh, so yeah, when I jumped to a racing, I tried to get out of MX
- 44:155 as soon as possible, and then I just started to do some formulas.
- 44:19Uh, so yeah, it's still, still the same.
- 44:22I don't know why, but, uh, I don't, not a big fan of these cars.
- 44:26Do you think, do you think it's because you've raced, uh, open
- 44:29wheelers in real life that much?
- 44:31That maybe you just.
- 44:33You, you went from MX 5, you were like, Hmm, this is not for me.
- 44:38And then immediately went to OpenWheelers and It feels just more natural to you.
- 44:42Well, I don't know.
- 44:43Um, maybe open wheeler is more natural for me because I got
- 44:47like more experience with them.
- 44:49Uh, so I never drove any road cars on a racing track before, uh, that, uh, so, you
- 44:56know, tried some, uh, Porsche 911 on track and, uh, also in W Series selection event,
- 45:02we had a Porsche Cayman, uh, GTS, uh, been driving the small track in Austria.
- 45:08Uh, but You know, just maybe a lack of experience or something But right now I'm
- 45:16quite Experienced in Porsche Cup series.
- 45:20I'm doing really good flip times in Porsche Cup And I understand car and how
- 45:25it handles for the corners, and I still don't know what to do with MX 5, really.
- 45:32I don't, I don't understand Porsche Cup.
- 45:34I've never understood it.
- 45:36The car is very You need to drive it in such a special way, like, especially
- 45:42now, before, I remember it was very, uh, it wanted to kill you on throttle
- 45:48all the time, if you were, um, giving it too much throttle, and if you had
- 45:53a tiny bit of slip, you'd just die.
- 45:55Like, it was just over.
- 45:57Um, but now I feel like when I tried them again, they are just very understeery.
- 46:01Like, I don't know if it's still the same.
- 46:04You know, on cold tires, it's a little bit understeery right now, uh, but, uh, when
- 46:10you warm up tires and, uh, temperatures, uh, and, uh, tire pressure getting
- 46:16normal, um, Absolutely no issues with it.
- 46:19So it, it has a really good grip, even, you know, on the throttle.
- 46:24Yeah.
- 46:24Sometimes you can, um, you know, slide a little bit and overheat the back and
- 46:28you're going to have some issues, uh, with tires, uh, for a couple of corners.
- 46:34Um, but you can, you know, switch the brake bias, uh, play with it, uh, just
- 46:39to get back, uh, the tire pressure into normal and everything will be fine.
- 46:44But yeah, uh, cold tires, uh, Like, unpredictable, so you need time to
- 46:50get used to this, uh, you, like, you need two laps, uh, to warm up tires on
- 46:54Porsche Cup, and then you're going to feel okay with it, and right now it's
- 46:58more friendly with brakes, so it's harder to look up, uh, wheels on it.
- 47:04So overall it's really fun series and compared to GT3s people
- 47:09Because we don't have traction.
- 47:11We don't have ABS system in my opinion Porsche Cup series more cleaner and
- 47:17You know just better racing compared to GT3s Uh recently I had a GT3 race
- 47:23at Monza, uh, like that was maybe three four weeks ago or something like this
- 47:27uh, and You know, guys crashed after Lesmo before Ascari on a straight line.
- 47:34I was like, how you did this?
- 47:39But, uh, so I haven't raced for so long.
- 47:42Where are you now, in terms of fine rating?
- 47:46Um, so I just, uh, I get 5k and, uh, now dropped to 4.
- 47:526, 4.
- 47:537, something like this.
- 47:55Yeah, yeah, I tried, I tried my best.
- 47:58I was almost at 5k.
- 48:00I said, uh, 4, 800 something, it's getting almost to 5k and
- 48:07then Road Atlanta happened.
- 48:10I remember this very vividly, like very clearly.
- 48:13And I'm, I'm good at hot lapping Road Atlanta, but I'm terrible at Keeping
- 48:19my tires, uh, in a good condition.
- 48:23So every, like, at the last few laps in the GT4, I was
- 48:28leading the race every time.
- 48:29And I was just grinding.
- 48:30I was just farming every goddamn time in that like section, when you go like the.
- 48:36This spiral down section, this S, uh, with the downhill section, right?
- 48:42Uh, this, you go right, you stay on the right side and then you, the apex is
- 48:48on the inside and then you really fly out and then there's the wall, right?
- 48:52There's this wall where if you go too far, you go into the wall.
- 48:56But I already died every time clipping this curb on the inside.
- 49:00And my setup was just not set up correctly for the car every
- 49:05time I died in the last lap.
- 49:07So I went from 4, 800 iRating to 4, 600 iRating to 4, 400 iRating and at
- 49:14some point I was like, I guess uh, it's just not supposed to be to get to 5k
- 49:19this time Yeah, that's the last attempt that I had and then another track.
- 49:24I'm really good at I guess and a combination I'm also pretty
- 49:28good at is um when the ferrari, uh The, what is it called?
- 49:34The Ferrari challenge?
- 49:37Yeah.
- 49:37Was it?
- 49:37Ferrari challenge.
- 49:38Correct.
- 49:39Yeah.
- 49:40That, that one was really fun at money, money core, money core.
- 49:44I don't know how to pronounce it.
- 49:46My French friends will be angry, but, uh, that one was always super fun.
- 49:52But also it's just a hot lapping track.
- 49:54So all of these like hot lapping track, I was always really good at.
- 49:58And, um, The, the ones where you have to actually really race.
- 50:05I was not that good at, I was just good at hot lapping, I guess.
- 50:09Uh, yeah, that was also really fun, a really fun car, the 488.
- 50:13I really enjoyed it.
- 50:15People didn't like it, especially the Ferrari challenge.
- 50:18I remember everyone said, uh, the chat, the Ferrari challenge set up was not good.
- 50:24I liked it.
- 50:25I don't know.
- 50:27Yeah.
- 50:27You know, it was, uh, in my opinion, bit understeery, but, uh, I think
- 50:32you can get used to this and you can make the car, uh, driving in
- 50:36the way how you want it to drive it.
- 50:40So usually I'm just saying like, uh, I don't have enough
- 50:44skills for this, for this setup.
- 50:45Yeah.
- 50:48It's a weird setup.
- 50:49Yeah, it's weird.
- 50:50It's just different compared to what we get used to in GT3s,
- 50:55in open sets, for example.
- 50:58But what I felt like, and I think that was the intent behind it, maybe, I'm not sure.
- 51:03But, um, when I drove it, it was so difficult.
- 51:07But when you got good at it, and you then went into the normal
- 51:10GT3, it was super easy to drive.
- 51:13Just, uh, a good setup with, like, uh, Like a proper setup, but, um, yeah, so for
- 51:20me, it was easier to go to, like, I like starting with the Ferrari fix challenge.
- 51:25And then when I got into IMSA, no, what was it?
- 51:28Um, there's like two, two series, right?
- 51:33One is IMSA and one is the VRS.
- 51:36Yeah.
- 51:36Yeah.
- 51:37And I got into VRS.
- 51:38It was actually much easier for me to just drive it to normal set up.
- 51:42And I was still competitive.
- 51:44Yeah.
- 51:44But only in a Ferrari, no other car, because I knew it, you know, so.
- 51:52Yeah, usually it's really good when you're starting GT3s, just stick with
- 51:56one car, because you get used to it and you just need to adapt to the tracks
- 52:01and don't spend time to switch around cars, so I think that's a good thing.
- 52:07Yeah.
- 52:07Um, can you tell me, uh, what is your plans for, um, for social medias?
- 52:14I know that you got 65, 000 followers on Instagram and, uh, I saw that you,
- 52:20uh, doing some videos for YouTube.
- 52:22So what are your, what are your plans for the future in social medias?
- 52:27Well, um, a big focus right now is on the, on YouTube.
- 52:31I really like making long form content and, uh, Instagram is
- 52:36the same stuff like always.
- 52:38I, I just make cosplay and fashion and stuff like that.
- 52:42Uh, I also like to mix those things up sometimes.
- 52:45Um, like I, I do really enjoy, uh, streaming, cosplaying, simracing,
- 52:50and cosplaying, even if it was a bit goofy, but it was still
- 52:53really fun with the community.
- 52:55Uh, yeah, things like this.
- 52:58Like, I like to combine, So I think my community is a mix of people
- 53:04who enjoy anime, who enjoy Japanese cars, drifting, and cars in general.
- 53:11And yeah, so that's basically who I tried to cater to, to, right.
- 53:16So I tried to make these, uh, long form videos with, um, yeah, this, with my,
- 53:25with my influence of, of my hobbies and things like even in the last Thailand
- 53:30video, we still Into the shopping mall.
- 53:33So I guess you're the normal car guy to be sitting like in front of a
- 53:37video he's like thinking he's gonna see like cars and exhaust flames and
- 53:43stuff and then I take them to like the ketchup place and Shopping mall
- 53:49at first and it's it's different.
- 53:51You know, I like to just make my own content sort of and I I really don't care
- 53:57if what's trending right now is, uh, this or that, you know, I just like to do,
- 54:03I just like to do what I do and I'm a believer that if you do something with a
- 54:07passion, it, it will find its way, right?
- 54:12Yeah, that's true.
- 54:13Yeah, I think if you, if you like to do what you, what you like to
- 54:18do, uh, then you can find people who like the same stuff which you enjoy.
- 54:25So, yeah.
- 54:27Exactly, yeah.
- 54:27And then, um, people will also see that you're having fun.
- 54:31And I feel like with sim racing, like, as much as I, I love sim racing, but I,
- 54:38when you only stream it, and you don't do anything other than sim racing all
- 54:42the time, then For me, that was just like, it was not everything I wanted to
- 54:48do, you know, there was like, I still want to come back to simracing for sure.
- 54:52I also want to practice Nordschleife on the sim.
- 54:55I want to see how much the sim actually can prepare me, you know, for it, or
- 55:01how much, you know, It can compare, I mean, of course, on iRacing, I get
- 55:06to drive a race car and it's going to be much different than my car, right?
- 55:11But still is, I'm pretty sure that I have a big advantage already.
- 55:17The moment I get on track, I know much more than someone who never drove on
- 55:23a sim or something before, you know?
- 55:25So, and I'm also super happy to be documenting the entire
- 55:31process on YouTube basically.
- 55:32So, it's also something I want to do.
- 55:36And then, yeah, I try and either go or both places, I want to go back to
- 55:41Thailand this year and I might stop in Japan on the way and then also film
- 55:51something about Japanese car culture.
- 55:56I just wanted to ask you, like, if you're planning to go to Japan, because
- 56:00you, uh, really like anime, cosplay, and also, I think, car culture in Japan
- 56:06is just huge, with a lot of different tuning, a lot of different, uh, you
- 56:11know, styles, and, uh, all the stuff, it's going to be really interesting
- 56:14to watch on your YouTube, uh, so, when you get the chance to get into Japan.
- 56:20Yeah, I wanted to go always.
- 56:22Um, but, um, since, um, so like, it's so Asian culture, I grew up with it, right?
- 56:30So like, cosplay or stuff like that, like Japanese influences, or like
- 56:35Japanese pop culture influences, like the entirety of Asia, right?
- 56:40You have like, everything is inspired by Japanese pop culture or
- 56:45Japanese car culture as well, right?
- 56:47Because Like, uh, but, um, I, I grew up with it, but every time I get the
- 56:53chance to go to Asia, I love Thailand so much because it's my home, right?
- 56:57It's also my home that I, I, I don't leave.
- 57:01Like, I always plan to go to Japan.
- 57:04I just, I, I can't, I can't leave.
- 57:07It's, I, I can only recommend if someone has never gone to Thailand,
- 57:11it's paradise, like, and, uh, it's just really nice to have these.
- 57:16You have, you have Bangkok with these like skylines and modern buildings and
- 57:21you're surrounded by this gigantic city, but then there's palm trees and beaches,
- 57:27you know, and I just, I just love it.
- 57:30So, but this year I try for sure to make a stop at Japan and, uh, I'm
- 57:36going to be excited to also see, um, Japanese culture and how it really is.
- 57:41Cause I only experienced it on the internet, right?
- 57:44So.
- 57:45I have no idea what to expect actually, so I wonder, uh, I heard a lot of things
- 57:51from my friends that are from Japan and stories, but it's always different if you
- 57:56go, I guess, you know, it's always, uh, it's always going to be a bit different
- 58:01from what you've seen on the Internet from what you've got told from your friends.
- 58:04I'm really excited to see it for the first time.
- 58:07Yeah.
- 58:08Yeah, I think when you will go in real life, uh, to whatever places, you
- 58:13gain, uh, gaining your own experience, uh, so this is not a problem.
- 58:18Which is something you can take from internet or something like this.
- 58:21Yeah, exactly.
- 58:22Yeah.
- 58:22And speaking about Asia and like Thailand, Malaysia, I think if
- 58:28someone got opportunity to go to this countries ever, they just have to go
- 58:33here because it's a different culture and it's nice to see for experience
- 58:40and truly Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, so beautiful cities with a big skyscrapers.
- 58:47Just amazing.
- 58:48Absolutely.
- 58:49Uh, so real like, uh, Kuala Lumpur.
- 58:52I've been to Malaysia eight times because I race in the Asia Cup
- 58:55series and, uh, for more BMW.
- 58:58So I really like this country.
- 59:02It's super hot in the car.
- 59:03Indonesia has also Oh, yeah, it was really hot.
- 59:06We had like 58 Celsius in the cockpit.
- 59:09Or foremost, we had 34 outside.
- 59:12Uh, it was, it was really hot.
- 59:17But, you know, I still enjoy racing here, Sepang.
- 59:20It's a great track.
- 59:21I'm still waiting until it's going to be in a racing.
- 59:23I heard some rumors about this, uh, and yeah, just, uh, you know, food is amazing.
- 59:32People really friendly.
- 59:33And just I'm big fan of Asian countries.
- 59:37They really nice.
- 59:41Where have you are like, where, where have you already been continent wise?
- 59:46Um, where have you traveled already?
- 59:49Like, have you been on all continents in the world already or?
- 59:53Uh, no, you know, I, I just, uh, I've been on my, uh, continent, unfortunately
- 59:59I didn't, uh, visit United States or Canada, uh, but in the future I'm
- 1:00:03planning to do this because I got, uh, like, a lot of friends living in United
- 1:00:07States and also one of my dream is, uh, to try maybe some street stalk on Oval,
- 1:00:14uh, track, uh, that would be great.
- 1:00:16Uh, because, you know, iRacing really pushed me into the ovals.
- 1:00:19Into oval, yeah.
- 1:00:22So now that that's my little dream to try oval car in real
- 1:00:26life, uh, that'll be great.
- 1:00:28But I've been to Austria, I've been to China, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey,
- 1:00:34so yeah, quite a lot of countries, uh, but I'm planning to visit the United
- 1:00:39States, uh, because, uh, this is place, uh, which I have to visit because
- 1:00:44iRacing is from, from United States.
- 1:00:46And, um, most of my community from United States also really, uh, would love to
- 1:00:52see their culture and their people also.
- 1:00:56Yeah.
- 1:00:57Um, fun fact.
- 1:00:58It's like the, the Arkham and Arts car.
- 1:01:03I don't know which one it was, but the VA is one of the best
- 1:01:07sounding race cars I've ever heard.
- 1:01:11In general, NASCARs just sound like absolute forces of nature.
- 1:01:16I love it.
- 1:01:17I love it.
- 1:01:18Especially if they are all in one pack and they fly by, it's insane, yeah.
- 1:01:24That's true.
- 1:01:25Um, so before we wrap up, uh, can you give an advice to girls who want
- 1:01:31to go into the like car culture, uh, maybe tuning their car and they want
- 1:01:37to jump into some racing as well?
- 1:01:39So what can you tell for them?
- 1:01:42Just do what you like.
- 1:01:44If you want to, if you want to modify a Peugeot 106 or something, just do it.
- 1:01:53Uh, I feel like.
- 1:01:54The car culture is about expressing yourself.
- 1:01:57It's, um, it's turning into a very toxic place.
- 1:02:00I think in the West here, it's turning into like, Oh, this isn't
- 1:02:04an M car or, Oh, don't care, just do it for what you really want to do.
- 1:02:09And if it's something that you really want to get into, don't shy away from doing it.
- 1:02:13I really encourage you to go and try and, and just express yourself through
- 1:02:19You know your car or whatever you want to do I think it's really important that
- 1:02:26people just don't like just do what you want to do and don't don't listen to the
- 1:02:32internet Don't listen to the cool people that say like no you have to do this or
- 1:02:36that If you want to try out something and yeah, don't, just do it yourself.
- 1:02:43That's my tip.
- 1:02:45Yeah, that's the best advice I think.
- 1:02:47Many people in sim racing also go on to tell that, Oh, you have to
- 1:02:51drive like direct drive wheelbase.
- 1:02:53You have to have really, um, I know expensive equipment to be competitive.
- 1:03:00So yeah, I would, I would like to say that, uh, with any equipment
- 1:03:03you can be competitive and you just, uh, need to have fun in it.
- 1:03:08And, uh, doesn't matter what you're doing.
- 1:03:11Uh, the main thing is to have fun.
- 1:03:13Uh, so guys, here's the links to social medias of Lena B.
