- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's La La Kent.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome to untraditionally Laala, Hello, my loves. I cannot believe
- 0:09Speaker 2: it that we're venturing into a new year. I feel
- 0:11Speaker 2: like twenty twenty five was like the longest yet shortest
- 0:14Speaker 2: year of my entire life.
- 0:17Speaker 3: They get they get quicker as you get older. Is
- 0:19Speaker 3: that Does that happen for anybody else?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Can I tell you something?
- 0:22Speaker 2: There are times where I'll wake up in the middle
- 0:24Speaker 2: of the night and I'll be side sleeping like this,
- 0:26Speaker 2: and I go, oh, no, wrinkles, switch back to the
- 0:30Speaker 2: back because I'm like, time is passing, gravity is doing
- 0:32Speaker 2: its thing.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Oh maybe that's why I'm tomorrow.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, which means another year is down,
- 0:40Speaker 2: which means, oh.
- 0:40Speaker 1: My god, I'm going to be thirty six. I'm gonna
- 0:43Speaker 1: be thirty six. Oh god, it's fine.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It's fine, Botox facelifts, fuck it, clip injections.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I'll let gravity do its thing for me. You're a man,
- 0:56Speaker 3: You're let's takin and do what you want.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So I don't know know how most people roll on
- 1:01Speaker 2: New Year's Eve, like after they become parents. I remember
- 1:05Speaker 2: living in Utah and like New Year's Eve was such
- 1:08Speaker 2: a big deal. I used to like rocket so freaking hard.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I had the outfit planned. I would start putting my
- 1:13Speaker 2: makeup on at like ten, no, ten o'clock at night.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Oh to like go pregame for an hour and then
- 1:22Speaker 2: get to the place where we were going to like
- 1:24Speaker 2: bring in the new year.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And then it was like on and popping until the summer.
- 1:28Speaker 4: You were going home with those miserable nights.
- 1:32Speaker 3: No.
- 1:32Speaker 2: The other night, we were playing the Switch and rocked
- 1:37Speaker 2: it for probably four hours.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I went to bed. Me too.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I went to bed at midnight, which I never do,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and I felt so hung over the next day I
- 1:45Speaker 2: could barely function. Ocean comes and she's like, hey, Mom,
- 1:50Speaker 2: which is the normal time that we wake up? And
- 1:52Speaker 2: I was like, you gotta go enter your sister. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: was like, please entertain your sister. I'm so tired. Just
- 1:58Speaker 2: why you don't stay at that late?
- 2:00Speaker 4: Don't switch at night.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Everyone's like, are you hungover?
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm like, yes, I am switch and everyone's like it'll
- 2:09Speaker 2: get you every time.
- 2:10Speaker 5: It really does.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I don't know about you or if anybody else did
- 2:16Speaker 3: your your your eyeballs? Do your eyeballs like you have
- 2:20Speaker 3: to your no, but like I would look up and
- 2:24Speaker 3: it would hurt.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right, that's your body telling you stop looking
- 2:28Speaker 2: at the screen. Close your eyes. We should get blue
- 2:32Speaker 2: light glasses. Anyway, That's how I used to do it
- 2:36Speaker 2: back in the day. Now that I have kids, I
- 2:39Speaker 2: want to celebrate New Year's with them, I don't want to.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I do not ever make it until midnight anymore. This year,
- 2:48Speaker 2: Palm Springs is what we usually do. But I am
- 2:53Speaker 2: wanting to have Ocean because now she she's aware, like
- 2:56Speaker 2: and I want her to be around her friends. So
- 2:59Speaker 2: we're gonna to celebrate with her group of friends and
- 3:03Speaker 2: their moms and parents. That way she can she can
- 3:06Speaker 2: have like a good time.
- 3:08Speaker 1: What do you like when you think about New Year's Eve?
- 3:10Speaker 1: What do you like? What would be your the most
- 3:14Speaker 1: perfect New Year's Eve for you?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Did you guys know that there's one night that I
- 3:18Speaker 3: is embedded and it was probably like twenty fifteen in
- 3:22Speaker 3: that area, and it was my best New Year's was alone?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah, nothing, I was alone. You were in La Okay.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Mom and dad were on vacation, I think Saint George,
- 3:35Speaker 3: and I was at home and people were like, come
- 3:37Speaker 3: over here, come over there and I was like, I'm
- 3:40Speaker 3: not going to do any of that. I stayed home
- 3:42Speaker 3: with the dogs, Pobby and Bernie because they get scared
- 3:45Speaker 3: for no firework.
- 3:45Speaker 4: So I was like, I'm not going to leave.
- 3:47Speaker 1: A lot of people can't be New Year, their dogs.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Be couples the home to their dogs dead under Oh
- 3:53Speaker 3: that is from heart attacks under beds and things, because
- 3:56Speaker 3: they're so scared. So I was like, that is a
- 3:58Speaker 3: big thing. Protect you like dogs. I you know, I'm
- 4:02Speaker 3: a big dog guy. Yeah, so my dogs get very scared.
- 4:06Speaker 3: So that is like a big reason. After that, I
- 4:08Speaker 3: haven't really done anything out and about. I usually stay
- 4:10Speaker 3: home with them, but I stayed home. I had Panda
- 4:14Speaker 3: Express in Mom and Dad's bed and I had the
- 4:19Speaker 3: windows open so I could see the fireworks like from
- 4:22Speaker 3: skyline and all of that. And I was just watching
- 4:24Speaker 3: TV eating Panda Express at midnight and that is so fun,
- 4:28Speaker 3: best night ever.
- 4:29Speaker 4: And I did have the dogs on the bed moment. Dad.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I don't know Dad does now, but that's what you're
- 4:38Speaker 4: gonna do.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Dad knows everything.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Dad knows a lot.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I don't love that, but I think I'm gonna hang
- 4:43Speaker 3: out with you guys. I just want to see like
- 4:45Speaker 3: ocean pop off some fireworks. I think a lot of
- 4:48Speaker 3: my buddies are like, here's the thing in La, everything's
- 4:52Speaker 3: an event, Like there's not just like somebody's having a
- 4:55Speaker 3: house party that I know of. Yeah, and I'm not
- 4:59Speaker 3: doing the striving a thing where I have to go
- 5:01Speaker 3: and like pay for parking dry like, I'm not doing
- 5:03Speaker 3: any of that. So I think I'm just gonna like
- 5:05Speaker 3: I don't like doing any of it, So I think
- 5:07Speaker 3: I'm just.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Hanging out with the family.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I also, yeah, like just being around people where and yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 2: and making it easy. I also think that Sosa is
- 5:18Speaker 2: going to be really into the fireworks. I thought she
- 5:20Speaker 2: would be terrified of the holidays because Santa Claus and
- 5:25Speaker 2: like fireworks and the poppers. I'm like this, she's like
- 5:28Speaker 2: so high strung and high maintenance that like anything, the
- 5:32Speaker 2: wind blows in a different direction and she's like losing
- 5:34Speaker 2: her mind.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But I'm actually thinking she's going to.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Be solid tonight because on Santa's lap, she didn't even cry.
- 5:42Speaker 2: She just sat there and looked up at him and
- 5:44Speaker 2: then like smiled awkwardly and was totally fine. So I
- 5:51Speaker 2: think she's going to be fine with like the popping
- 5:53Speaker 2: and all the things. I'm very excited. That's what I'm
- 5:57Speaker 2: most excited about. It was just to be around my kids.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Being own family. To ring in the new year is
- 6:01Speaker 3: always a good new year, guess. I've never had a
- 6:04Speaker 3: bad New Year's with my family, And every time I
- 6:07Speaker 3: go out with friends, it's always like, god, fuck, You're
- 6:09Speaker 3: always in the wrong place at the wrong time for
- 6:11Speaker 3: the ball to drop or the New Year.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You're always in a place where you're like, oh.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Well, happy New Year, everybody, and it's you know, it's
- 6:19Speaker 3: I'd rather just be banging some pots, watching my niece's
- 6:23Speaker 3: fire off some things, just hanging out with my family
- 6:26Speaker 3: and watching.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Gigi, Happy New, Happy New Year.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought that up because, and I've spoken
- 6:35Speaker 2: about this before, I really get into just like the
- 6:37Speaker 2: holiday spirit. Even as a young child, like when it
- 6:40Speaker 2: came to Christmas, the gifts were great or whatever, but
- 6:42Speaker 2: like i couldn't fight the feeling of Christmas, and.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to instill that in my kids.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Same thing with New Year's as I get older, I
- 6:51Speaker 2: don't want to bring in the new year that for
- 6:54Speaker 2: me represents a lot like what is it going to bring.
- 6:58Speaker 2: There's going to be amazing things. There's also you know,
- 7:01Speaker 2: you don't know if sadness is going to come in
- 7:05Speaker 2: the new year. We talked about this, I think a
- 7:07Speaker 2: couple of years ago. When you go into a new year,
- 7:10Speaker 2: it's like so exciting and you celebrate it. But like
- 7:13Speaker 2: twenty eighteen that held, and obviously I didn't know this,
- 7:18Speaker 2: twenty eighteen would hold the death of my dad.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Twenty eighteen would hold the year that I got sober.
- 7:24Speaker 2: So I think about those things like, I don't know
- 7:27Speaker 2: what's to come, And I don't mean to sound more
- 7:29Speaker 2: bit or dark, but I want to bring in this
- 7:32Speaker 2: new year and essentially a new chapter with people who
- 7:36Speaker 2: I really really love and adore and who I think
- 7:39Speaker 2: are going to be with me for the long haul,
- 7:41Speaker 2: which is always going to be my family.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I don't think it's when you said morbid when you
- 7:46Speaker 3: think like that, But I don't like when people say
- 7:49Speaker 3: like people may think it's like, no, you're realistic. You've
- 7:53Speaker 3: lived through things that have made you realistic. Yeah, you know, right,
- 7:57Speaker 3: so that's just one thing realistic.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, And I am excited to have a new year,
- 8:05Speaker 2: I think for the for the first time in a
- 8:07Speaker 2: few years. I've finally forgiven myself for a lot things
- 8:10Speaker 2: that were weighing heavy on me. I like when I
- 8:13Speaker 2: say I no longer care, they're not just words, like
- 8:16Speaker 2: I truly like, I don't feel it a part of
- 8:20Speaker 2: me at all.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I've let it go.
- 8:22Speaker 2: So entering a new year, I get I get to
- 8:24Speaker 2: go in saying, oh, this is not going to follow
- 8:27Speaker 2: me into any portion of twenty twenty six.
- 8:31Speaker 1: And there's also a lot.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Of goals that you know, before the holiday break, I
- 8:37Speaker 2: was firing off emails and people are like, well, we're
- 8:40Speaker 2: going into the holiday I'm like, I understand that, but like,
- 8:43Speaker 2: I want to make sure that the moment we land
- 8:45Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six, we hit the ground fucking running
- 8:48Speaker 2: because a year is nothing and I need to get
- 8:52Speaker 2: things poppin off.
- 8:54Speaker 4: No, I agree with you.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You know, there's been a lot of dissolving of businesses
- 9:00Speaker 2: and partnerships going sour. I need everything to fall into place,
- 9:06Speaker 2: and I need everyone teed up before we land in
- 9:09Speaker 2: twenty twenty six.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Period.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like buying the twenty twenty six calendar before
- 9:16Speaker 3: the new year. Yeah, you have to have it set up.
- 9:19Speaker 3: You're on target playing ketchup anymore?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Do you have any resolutions?
- 9:25Speaker 3: How funny that I was going to ask you that
- 9:27Speaker 3: I have a lot, and I'm gonna try to stick
- 9:29Speaker 3: to a couple of them. I'm not going to go
- 9:31Speaker 3: too crazy, but uh, the one that I really do
- 9:34Speaker 3: want to stick with is I want to start getting up.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I want to go to bed earlier, getting up earlier,
- 9:42Speaker 3: and I want to start taking care of my body. Okay,
- 9:45Speaker 3: working out, eating, well, just things like that. I'm not
- 9:48Speaker 3: gonna you know, yeah, like I'm going to the gym.
- 9:50Speaker 3: It's like, Okay, I know I need to, Yes, I
- 9:53Speaker 3: get that, but like, let me start with a couple
- 9:55Speaker 3: of new things and then work that into it. And
- 9:58Speaker 3: I want to go to the gym around like February
- 10:00Speaker 3: March when everybody else is falling off their resolution.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Well that's what people recommend.
- 10:03Speaker 2: They're like, don't do not get it in January, Like,
- 10:06Speaker 2: if you're serious about it, it's jam packed because every
- 10:09Speaker 2: single person has that as their New Year's resolution. Mine
- 10:13Speaker 2: I would like to stay more consistent with working out.
- 10:17Speaker 1: And here's the thing.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I think, when you're setting your resolutions, make ones that
- 10:20Speaker 2: are realistic. Like for me, I know that if I
- 10:24Speaker 2: don't get a workout in in the morning. Come the
- 10:28Speaker 2: end of the day, the last thing I want to
- 10:29Speaker 2: do is go work out. I'm also not the type
- 10:32Speaker 2: where if my day and work is scheduled to start
- 10:36Speaker 2: at nine am, and I know I got to get
- 10:39Speaker 2: my kids off to school and whatnot, I'm not the
- 10:41Speaker 2: type to get to a gym to start working out
- 10:44Speaker 2: in the five six o'clock hour. That's not realistic. So
- 10:48Speaker 2: having a resolution of like, I'm gonna find balance and
- 10:52Speaker 2: I'm going to sit down with a calendar and say
- 10:55Speaker 2: this is how I'm going to structure my days in
- 10:57Speaker 2: morning so that I can implement all of these things
- 11:00Speaker 2: that are going to be good for me. I'd also
- 11:03Speaker 2: like to start doing a water cleanse at least once
- 11:06Speaker 2: a month. My body needs that.
- 11:08Speaker 3: The one thing that I do want to add in.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'm getting better at it, but I want to take
- 11:12Speaker 3: more time for it because I feel like it'll help.
- 11:14Speaker 3: But I want to start five minutes every morning and
- 11:20Speaker 3: do a meditation.
- 11:22Speaker 2: When I was doing that Easton, it shifted my whole day.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Like I was in like the height of my custody
- 11:29Speaker 2: battle and I was struggling to survive.
- 11:33Speaker 1: But I would wake up in.
- 11:34Speaker 2: The morning and listen to whatever meditation, whether it was
- 11:39Speaker 2: like white noise a song. I know, meditation is not
- 11:42Speaker 2: hearing noise and getting into your zone, but anything.
- 11:44Speaker 4: That just kind of because if I don't hear noise,
- 11:47Speaker 4: you're in your own mind, and the noise kind of
- 11:50Speaker 4: brings me back to center.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Did you ever see that meme?
- 12:06Speaker 2: It's about someone who has eighty D and eighty HD
- 12:10Speaker 2: and they're like talking about how their prayers go to God,
- 12:13Speaker 2: and it's like they start praying and then they start
- 12:15Speaker 2: going on at tangents to something else and they're like
- 12:17Speaker 2: they come back.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And go, oh, sorry, God, where was I? That's me?
- 12:20Speaker 4: That's me.
- 12:21Speaker 1: My prayers take like literally find.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I've had to restart a couple of times because I'll
- 12:25Speaker 3: start praying and then I'll hit like that certain like
- 12:30Speaker 3: another and then I'm like why do I.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Even think there? And then I'm like, but why have
- 12:36Speaker 4: I gotten to this point? Oh? I forgot I was praying.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Let's restart this thing. Yeah, sorry God.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So I think training the mind that's.
- 12:44Speaker 3: A meditation and the other thing that I do want
- 12:47Speaker 3: to do once a month or even like once a
- 12:49Speaker 3: week if I could, I want to go to the beach,
- 12:53Speaker 3: oh to get grounded, Like I don't, like.
- 12:56Speaker 1: We got to find a good beach though, I.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Was thinking about going up to Malibu.
- 13:01Speaker 1: That's a far drive. You'd have to leave very early.
- 13:03Speaker 4: To say I think that.
- 13:04Speaker 3: But the traffic is actually shorter going up and around
- 13:08Speaker 3: because everybody's going down. And yeah, it's kind of like
- 13:11Speaker 3: if I were to do it at the time, I've
- 13:12Speaker 3: looked him up, but like, is it a long drive?
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yes, but I thought, why not listen to.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Just calming music and have like a quiet drive where
- 13:22Speaker 3: it's a big meditation, go to the beach twenty minutes,
- 13:25Speaker 3: thirty minutes, no shoes, sand grounding.
- 13:29Speaker 1: You know, Chris Jenner is really onto something.
- 13:31Speaker 2: By waking up at four am, you do have a
- 13:34Speaker 2: lot more time in the day to do what you
- 13:36Speaker 2: need to do.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You do work out the getting your.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Mind raving to assume at four am, four four four.
- 13:46Speaker 4: What No, this bitch is going about at like's why
- 13:49Speaker 4: she's Chris Jenner. That's yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Some people are built different.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Well, what's it called? Donald Trump? Our good old president?
- 13:58Speaker 3: He did say the one thing I can I agree with.
- 14:01Speaker 3: If you sleep for eight hours a day, you cannot
- 14:03Speaker 3: be successful. He was like, there he goes. The human
- 14:06Speaker 3: body only needs five to six hours. If you're getting
- 14:09Speaker 3: any more than that, you cannot be successful. You're sleeping
- 14:11Speaker 3: through your successful hours.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Oh no, I know, and I did that one did
- 14:15Speaker 4: hit me in the heart. But now I was like,
- 14:18Speaker 4: oh no, I'm getting this back and hit you in
- 14:20Speaker 4: the heart.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Sorry Jesus.
- 14:23Speaker 2: The last thing I want to say before we wrap
- 14:25Speaker 2: this episode up is The Valley is also going to
- 14:28Speaker 2: premiere in twenty twenty six.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't know what that's going to be like.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Do we have a early Is it like March April?
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think it'll be. Is it going to be like
- 14:39Speaker 1: a Marchish aprilish?
- 14:41Speaker 5: So we don't have to wait that long? No, I'm crazy.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I don't have to wait that long.
- 14:47Speaker 4: I'm really excited to see.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I'm tripping. I'm fucking tripping. So there's my New Year's resolution.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Don't trip things that I don't have control over.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I have to be able to let them go and
- 14:58Speaker 2: just be like it's done, don't care and you even
- 15:02Speaker 2: and feel it to my very core.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And that's my hope for all of you.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I want you guys to go into this new year,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and you know, just try to conquer the art of,
- 15:14Speaker 2: in moments, being selfish, taking your needs seriously. Life is
- 15:20Speaker 2: very very short. I don't mean to freak you guys out,
- 15:23Speaker 2: but take time to ask yourself what makes me truly happy?
- 15:30Speaker 1: And something that resonated with me.
- 15:35Speaker 2: That mom said the other day was when you lose yourself,
- 15:39Speaker 2: you find yourself. There is such thing as being too
- 15:44Speaker 2: in tune with your own emotions. When you're feeling like
- 15:47Speaker 2: you're getting to know yourself a little too well, I
- 15:49Speaker 2: recommend an act of service. Go out, try to make
- 15:52Speaker 2: someone else's life a little bit easier, and in those
- 15:54Speaker 2: moments you will find a happiness that you did not
- 15:56Speaker 2: know you were searching for. With that being said, I
- 16:00Speaker 2: love you guys, and I will catch you in the
- 16:01Speaker 2: new year.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Bye bye,
