- 0:01I love the new look of Lipps Electric.
- 0:05Kevin, how you doing? I'm wonderful, Jim. It's great to have you here on the program.
- 0:11Correct me if I'm wrong, but recently you guys went through a rebrand.
- 0:16And for those of you who don't know what a rebrand is, it's basically taking
- 0:20the old imagery, the old look,
- 0:22maybe name, logo, and so forth,
- 0:25and repackaging it to separate oneself in the marketplace and also give the
- 0:34company more direction and to help the community, the homeowner,
- 0:38understand more about your core values and what you're really trying to do to assist them.
- 0:44Yes. Yeah, we did. We completed it
- 0:47probably six to nine months ago
- 0:50where we finalized documentation and really
- 0:54did our first van wrap and since then now we have
- 0:56our fifth band wrapped and starting to to get our uniforms up to date and and
- 1:02adjusted this is our new new shirt that our guys are out in the field wearing
- 1:05and you know it just it it's it it's really good for us how does rebranding with consistency.
- 1:17Make your company in the electrician field, in your marketplace,
- 1:24how does that make you guys stand out differently from a competitor who just
- 1:30has a white van and dirty shirt and it's called Fred's Electric?
- 1:36Yeah, it's fair. It's fair because we kind of were that brand for a little while,
- 1:41you know, and it wasn't, it's not a dig.
- 1:43It's just, it's the size of where we were in, you know, the,
- 1:47the, the area of work that we worked in and we didn't feel like we needed the brand as much.
- 1:53And now that we're trying to get into 7,500 homes and take care of all these
- 1:58customers to hit our mission and, and build on our purpose of a company,
- 2:04really the, the brand is what's going to help get us there.
- 2:07And it's amazing how much more these vans pop out in the field and how much
- 2:12better my technicians look dressed professionally and they feel more comfortable.
- 2:18And the environment is improved tremendously with the decor that we put around
- 2:24the building. And it just looks and feels so much more professional.
- 2:29And it's going to, it's really has been teeing us up and putting us out there.
- 2:34It really ups. A rebrand such as yours, which is phenomenal,
- 2:38by the way, really invigorates the team members.
- 2:44Who work for you it makes them feel better about the company about their job about their purpose,
- 2:53they may now even have a uniform which they didn't have before maybe they were
- 2:58told to wear a service type shirt maybe they weren't things weren't uniform
- 3:04meaning the shirt the hat to the van, to the truck,
- 3:09to the logo in general.
- 3:12And that's really important because when your team members, the electricians
- 3:17out in the field, feel good about themselves, it's kind of like getting dressed
- 3:22up for a wedding or maybe a date or something.
- 3:25You just feel better about yourself, getting a haircut and a shave, whatever it is.
- 3:31It's important because when you're in front of the homeowner,
- 3:34you want them to feel what you feel, they want to feel confidence in purchasing from you.
- 3:42It's important. The homeowner deserves that. They deserve a good look. Wouldn't you agree?
- 3:49I would agree. I would agree. And it's a true feeling.
- 3:52Before we did the rebrand, we did have a pretty good logo and we really liked
- 3:57it, but it was definitely more on the white band syndrome and it didn't pop.
- 4:02And the biggest problem was it looked just like a
- 4:05couple other uh companies and so i
- 4:08sometimes would be confused like oh they're all who's oh it's the
- 4:11other company that's not us no no
- 4:14it was the colors were exactly the same nothing
- 4:17really stood out but the feeling and and i my name's on it so it's sure that
- 4:23has a big point of it too but a lot of my teammate has really stepped up and
- 4:28and been open they say they love it and uh the now we have a mascot and a logo, and it's pretty cool.
- 4:35It is awesome. I just love those lips that are part of the imagery, the logo.
- 4:44Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I thought it was really important
- 4:48to get across to our viewers and our listeners.
- 4:51A lot of people don't think much about it. They might take it for granted,
- 4:55but many home service companies don't have this together.
- 5:00It's, they might be good technicians. They may even be a sound profitable company,
- 5:04but they often are missing this key piece of a brand that brings everything
- 5:10together and makes it look like you guys have your stuff together.
- 5:15And so I think it's extremely important. Kevin, thank you so much as always
- 5:19for joining me today on the program. All right. Thanks, Jim.
