- 0:00Speaker 2: Easily.
- 0:00Speaker 1: This could have been a real movie. Yeah, and I
- 0:02Speaker 1: would have cast it with like Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm Megan, I'm Wendy, and today's episode is part of
- 0:29Speaker 2: the Girls Gone Hallmark summer series where we're watching and
- 0:31Speaker 2: reviewing fan favorite movies. You can find the full lineup
- 0:35Speaker 2: of movies we're reviewing this summer in our show notes
- 0:37Speaker 2: at Meganowindy dot com slash podcast. Today, we're discussing love
- 0:42Speaker 2: on the air. If you want to connect with us
- 0:44Speaker 2: outside of the podcast, we'd love for you to follow

- 0:54Speaker 2: our Girls Gone Hallmark Facebook group. Shout out to all
- 0:59Speaker 2: of our friends over there, love that group. I just
- 1:02Speaker 2: want to say, first of all, yeah, a thank you
- 1:05Speaker 2: to the Girls Gone Hellmark community for really bringing it
- 1:09Speaker 2: in terms of the movies they recommend. I agree.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I'm jazzed by this list, meaning there hasn't been one
- 1:15Speaker 1: stinker yet, got one, And I will tell you that
- 1:18Speaker 1: when I settle in on the weekends to watch these movies.
- 1:23Speaker 1: There's something that comes over me now. M h and
- 1:27Speaker 1: I think I'm starting to understand the appeal of a
- 1:30Speaker 1: Hallmark movie where a half years later, two and a
- 1:33Speaker 1: half years later, Yes, you know, when I first initially started,
- 1:37Speaker 1: it was really watching with this critical eye.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Am I hate this curmudgeone?
- 1:42Speaker 1: I mean yeah, And now I feel like I sink
- 1:46Speaker 1: into the couch and I just want to feel this
- 1:48Speaker 1: like warm glow.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Get my cozy blanket.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yes, I'm not saying every movie is great, but I
- 1:54Speaker 1: will say from this list, I have not been disappointed
- 1:58Speaker 1: thus far.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Let's start with this of love on the air.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Sure, Sonia moves to Chicago for her boyfriend and a
- 2:05Speaker 1: new hosting gig, which ultimately leads to the quick demise
- 2:09Speaker 1: of her picture perfect relationship. Unfortunately, she shares her troubles
- 2:15Speaker 1: with a fellow colleague, not realizing he is a competing
- 2:18Speaker 1: shock jock shock jock, But when these rivals are forced
- 2:22Speaker 1: to work together, they soon find out that they have
- 2:24Speaker 1: more in common than their radio personas reveal. I have questions, Okay,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I don't remember.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Her moving so moving to Chicago with her boyfriend. They
- 2:35Speaker 2: just lived in Chicago. If that was part of the story.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I believe it was cut for time. Yeah, I think
- 2:40Speaker 2: that was a key point here.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Funny right, and shockjock is just such a like outdated
- 2:47Speaker 1: term to me.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah, now it would be like podcaster bro exactly. But
- 2:52Speaker 2: it does accurately describe him. It does. This film does
- 2:55Speaker 2: take place in Chicago, but it was filmed in Vancouver,
- 2:59Speaker 2: British Columbia.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I want to say, just before we jump further into
- 3:02Speaker 1: like news and notes about this show. It did premiere
- 3:05Speaker 1: September twenty six, twenty fifteen. Kind of hard to find
- 3:09Speaker 1: notes on a movie that is almost eight years old.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Do you know? If I look up a movie now,
- 3:14Speaker 2: there's eight hundred articles written about it, I know, but
- 3:16Speaker 2: because we were in the SEO era, there aren't as many.
- 3:19Speaker 2: There's some old like blog posts written on like blogspot websites,
- 3:25Speaker 2: like if you go to decider dot com right now,
- 3:27Speaker 2: they're carrying a review of every single new movie, but
- 3:30Speaker 2: not the details all of them. Yes, it's the SEO
- 3:33Speaker 2: era is really driving the content you find online. Yes, yes,
- 3:36Speaker 2: and there were only like the seventeen reviews on IMDb. Yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 2: not that many.
- 3:40Speaker 1: No, So, like you said, it took place in Chicago,
- 3:43Speaker 1: but it was filmed where Vancouver.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Indeed, that's right.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Allison Sweeney plays Sonia. We most recently saw her in
- 3:51Speaker 1: Carrot Cake Murder Hannah Swinson Mystery, which premiered in our
- 3:54Speaker 1: Homemark Movies and Mysteries Go We did.
- 3:57Speaker 2: We haven't watched it yet.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Good job jab Before that, she worked on the Wedding
- 4:03Speaker 1: Veil series. And I asked you before we started recording,
- 4:07Speaker 1: is she had a break from Days?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Right now, she's not actively on the show, but I
- 4:11Speaker 2: did reach out to my Day's correspondent and he says
- 4:15Speaker 2: she was there last year for a couple of different storyline.
- 4:20Speaker 2: If anybody was a Day of Our Lives watcher from
- 4:22Speaker 2: like way back when Marlena was possessed. Marlena was repossessed
- 4:26Speaker 2: last year and Sammy was around for that. But she
- 4:28Speaker 2: hasn't been on since then. She's not been on in
- 4:31Speaker 2: twenty twenty three.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Does Day's record in Los Angeles?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yes?
- 4:35Speaker 1: Record film in Los Angeles. That's interesting. I wonder if
- 4:39Speaker 1: she's just been busy with Homemark and like Days will
- 4:42Speaker 1: always welcome her back. You know, let's talk about the
- 4:46Speaker 1: guy that plays Nick.
- 4:48Speaker 2: That was main.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Because you I don't know how to pronounce his last name.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Let's let's talk about what we just did. Look, we
- 4:58Speaker 2: are committed to truth and entertainment, and we really wanted
- 5:02Speaker 2: to get the actor who plays next last name correctly.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And we listen to no less than six interviews where
- 5:08Speaker 2: the interviewers go to incredible lengths to avoid saying his
- 5:11Speaker 2: last name. They say, we're here with Jonathan, they jump
- 5:13Speaker 2: right into the interview. Wendy did find a pronunciation on
- 5:16Speaker 2: the Internet that we do believe to be correct, and
- 5:18Speaker 2: it is Jonathan Scarfe. If you know us to be incorrect,
- 5:21Speaker 2: please email us Megan and Wendy at gmail dot com.
- 5:24Speaker 2: He does play Nick. He has an impressive ninety three
- 5:27Speaker 2: acting credits, including forty nine episodes of a TV series
- 5:31Speaker 2: called Van Helsing, and a number of the interviews you
- 5:33Speaker 2: pulled up were at Comic Con where people were interviewing
- 5:35Speaker 2: really about that show. However, the last Hallmark movie he
- 5:40Speaker 2: did was called The Dator's Handbook in twenty sixteen, with
- 5:43Speaker 2: one Christopher Polaha and Megan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Did you ever see that movie? No? But I feel
- 5:51Speaker 2: like you need to see that. Megan Markle Hallmark movie
- 5:54Speaker 2: you watch it. Maybe we need to watch it. I'm
- 5:58Speaker 2: an Mt. Meghan, I know you are. I'm into watching it. Okay,
- 6:03Speaker 2: maybe bonus episode.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Maybe there's something in our future about looking at other
- 6:09Speaker 1: older movies and.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Not just for the summer. We'll see. Oh I don't
- 6:13Speaker 2: think that's a bad idea. Okay.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Vincent Gail plays Bad. He's the radio manager producer guy.
- 6:21Speaker 1: We last saw him in The Wedding Cottage where he
- 6:23Speaker 1: plays Brendan Penny's art dealer. So he's kind of always
- 6:26Speaker 1: this like manager role. Like he had a very small
- 6:30Speaker 1: role in this movie, but it was just funny because
- 6:33Speaker 1: we just just saw him and something else.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yes, even though these movies were nine years apart. Yes, Yes.
- 6:39Speaker 2: John Capello's plays Gus. He has over two hundred acting
- 6:42Speaker 2: credits and his face is super recognizable. He's been in
- 6:46Speaker 2: many things.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Including The Breakfast Club, the janitor in The Breakfast Club.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Do you remember him now that you say that yet?
- 6:53Speaker 2: I remember?
- 6:54Speaker 1: He's like I know all the secrets because he finds
- 6:56Speaker 1: all the notes and all the stuff.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I like that movie.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I know it's problematic, but I still like, I'm gonna
- 7:00Speaker 1: say hashtag justice for Clooney in this movie. The Poor
- 7:04Speaker 1: Dog does not have an IMDb.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Great dog with a giant head. Yes, I like big
- 7:09Speaker 2: dogs like that. Me too.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I got a big dog with a giant head at home. So,
- 7:13Speaker 1: as you told me earlier, my dog has a big head.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You said she's big boned. You were the one who
- 7:21Speaker 2: said she needed to go on a diet, but that
- 7:23Speaker 2: told her she needed a diet, not just me. I
- 7:25Speaker 2: just think she's a sweet little dog.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I know, But I was sad that this dog was
- 7:29Speaker 1: not credited on IMDb when like recently Loved to the Rescue,
- 7:34Speaker 1: that dog was Vince.
- 7:35Speaker 2: It was like a dog's name Vince. It was Bruce
- 7:37Speaker 2: in the show, but I think his real name might
- 7:39Speaker 2: have been Vince. It was Kip Kip. Oh, his name
- 7:44Speaker 2: was Zizip. I have a question for you.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Do you think the dog was named Clooney for a.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Reason in this movie? Oh? Because he thinks himself a cool,
- 7:55Speaker 2: smooth Clooney type.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Like Forever Bachelor, which I know Clooney's now married, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: maybe this at this time in twenty fifteen, I don't
- 8:03Speaker 1: know if he was married or not. Right, they thought
- 8:07Speaker 1: he was going to be like the single guy forever.
- 8:09Speaker 2: This movie was directed by Christopher Tabori, who currently has
- 8:12Speaker 2: fifty four directing credits, which include the Murder She Baked series,
- 8:16Speaker 2: Garage Sale Mysteries, The Irresistible Blueberry Farm. According to IMDb,
- 8:21Speaker 2: he also directs under the name Kat Donaldson and is
- 8:23Speaker 2: credited as an actor under the name Chris Tabori.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I see this is where the problem with IMDb is
- 8:28Speaker 1: when like you use multiple names and people like us
- 8:31Speaker 1: got to search all over the world and the Internet
- 8:34Speaker 1: and back to find out what you've done. Indeed, story
- 8:36Speaker 1: credit for this movie is given to Sharon so Boyle.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm not making fun, I'm just a bad name pronouncer.
- 8:44Speaker 1: She has just ten writing credits, including several children's cartoons.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And when I saw the list of these cartoons that
- 8:50Speaker 1: she's writing to be back took me back to the
- 8:54Speaker 1: afternoons with my daughter watching Here we Go.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Doc mcstuffan's Handy.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Manny and Imagination movers Tippy and Neil H.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Debrowski are credited with writing the scripts for Love on
- 9:06Speaker 2: the Air. They've written quite a bit for a Hallmark,
- 9:08Speaker 2: including Love Strikes Twice, You Had Me at Aloha, several
- 9:11Speaker 2: episodes of When Calls the Heart, and in twenty twenty,
- 9:15Speaker 2: they had written their thirtieth movie for Hallmark, called The
- 9:18Speaker 2: Christmas Doctor, starring one Holly Robinson Peete fun fact. In
- 9:22Speaker 2: twenty twenty one, they coote the first original holiday movie
- 9:25Speaker 2: for the Peacock streaming network along with her son Spider Dobrovski.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It was called The Real Housewives of the North Pole
- 9:31Speaker 2: and it starred Kyle Richard. Did you see it by chance?
- 9:35Speaker 1: No?
- 9:36Speaker 2: I heard a lot of promo about it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I like that. There's that Hallmark tie in, But that's
- 9:41Speaker 2: the last that they have written, which is weird, right
- 9:45Speaker 2: where'd they go? It's been What was your first impression
- 9:47Speaker 2: of this movie? Fight me on these words? Are you ready? Uh? Huh?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Hands down the best Allison Sweeney movie we've seen so far.
- 9:53Speaker 2: A one percent would agree with you. Yay, she shines.
- 9:57Speaker 1: M M.
- 9:58Speaker 2: My first impression is when so someone shows you who
- 10:01Speaker 2: they are, believe them the first time. Oh my gosh.
- 10:04Speaker 1: So are you suggesting that Nick is not that great.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Of a guy. No, Actually, I'm not suggesting that because
- 10:11Speaker 2: when she meets Nick, he's a delight.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It's kind of jerk like, he's like cool.
- 10:17Speaker 2: About the fact that she snatches a snow cone into
- 10:19Speaker 2: his chest. That cool, He's like, snow, big deal, it'll
- 10:22Speaker 2: wash out. I don't know.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I got the I got the sense that he was
- 10:28Speaker 1: I have a dick, but then like quickly turned after that,
- 10:32Speaker 1: What do you like about this movie?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Look? I thought this movie was laugh out loud funny.
- 10:36Speaker 2: And the evidence is in the fact that my husband
- 10:39Speaker 2: was laughing out loud from another room at lines like
- 10:42Speaker 2: the biggest mistake you'll ever make marriage. And then you
- 10:47Speaker 2: should know that my husband says outrageous things like this
- 10:50Speaker 2: all the time, and then he always immediately says like
- 10:52Speaker 2: you should tweet that shit. And he also says like
- 10:56Speaker 2: we should have a podcast, and I was like, you
- 10:58Speaker 2: would get canceled. We should have he would get canceled,
- 11:01Speaker 2: but you would get canceled so fast, and then you
- 11:04Speaker 2: would tank my podcasting career. So no, thank you, sir.
- 11:07Speaker 2: There's a great series of lines that is terrible but
- 11:11Speaker 2: also kind of funny when Scott and Sonia are walking
- 11:16Speaker 2: and he says to her like, no woman's ever going
- 11:18Speaker 2: to keep a guy by behaving that way, in reference
- 11:20Speaker 2: to the way she tells women to behave and she's like,
- 11:23Speaker 2: I did Nikoslaus before I knew you better. It's a
- 11:25Speaker 2: throwaway line. He says it really quietly, but I paused
- 11:30Speaker 2: it and rewound it. Oh God, she should have ran
- 11:34Speaker 2: for the hills.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Then wow, if I don't actually remember that, I do
- 11:39Speaker 1: remember that scene, but I don't remember my yikes.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Use Okay.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I want to tell you that this is a movement
- 11:46Speaker 1: like something I've never seen before in homework.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And remember, like.
- 11:49Speaker 1: When we first started podcasting, what would I always say
- 11:52Speaker 1: about Hamewark movies, the ones I liked.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I would say, this feels like a real movie.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Oh, in our early podcast days, I would say that now.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Easily could have been a real movie.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and I would have cast it with like Kate
- 12:03Speaker 1: Hudson and Owen Wilson, like that's who I see in it.
- 12:07Speaker 1: It had that kind of rom calm.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Level to it to me. Yes, we've said this about
- 12:12Speaker 2: a movie before, but I think that the script for
- 12:15Speaker 2: this movie must have been longer than the standard Hallmark
- 12:17Speaker 2: script because the banter is so fast paced. And I
- 12:20Speaker 2: had made this comparison before, and I wish I could
- 12:22Speaker 2: pull it out of the top of my head. But
- 12:24Speaker 2: similar to the fact that we know that Gilmour Girls'
- 12:26Speaker 2: scripts were longer than standard one hour show strip because
- 12:29Speaker 2: the dialogue was so fast and furious. I imagine that
- 12:32Speaker 2: was the case here, And I love that because if
- 12:34Speaker 2: you've ever watched some Hallmark movies, there's a lot of
- 12:37Speaker 2: pauses in the dialogue and someone will say something and
- 12:41Speaker 2: then there's a pause and then a reaction, and I
- 12:45Speaker 2: think we're getting out of that phase. It happens less
- 12:48Speaker 2: and less. But there was obviously none of that. I mean,
- 12:53Speaker 2: these are two seasoned actors. Ali Sweeney had no trouble
- 12:58Speaker 2: keeping off with this dialogue. M M. I didn't know
- 13:02Speaker 2: mister Jonathan Scarfe prior to this movie neither. I have
- 13:05Speaker 2: no idea, but their banter was top notch. I gotta
- 13:08Speaker 2: tell you, I loved his voice, like it was a
- 13:10Speaker 2: real radio voice for me.
- 13:12Speaker 1: But it's interesting, like I think he has one other, yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: one other Hallmark movie, and then he's on other stuff.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So it's so weird that he was cast in this movie.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I thought, I wonder if, like this is not his jam.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It's just like he was available available. I don't know, Hey,
- 13:27Speaker 1: did you notice the jazz music throughout this movie? I didn't.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I just thought, like every like city scape scene they'd
- 13:34Speaker 1: show up Chicago. They'd have this like really cool jazz music.
- 13:37Speaker 1: What made it really feel like Chicago to me? I
- 13:41Speaker 1: loved it, but I do have a complaint about the
- 13:43Speaker 1: sound in the What I wish for a department.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Oh so, I loved the final scene with Sonya's tearful
- 13:50Speaker 2: confession on the air and Nick racing to the studio.
- 13:54Speaker 2: It gave me did you see the finale episode of Friends?
- 13:57Speaker 2: Ross doesn't want Rachel to get on the plane, and
- 13:59Speaker 2: there's like this final moment where they're trying to run
- 14:01Speaker 2: to the airport and that he goes to the wrong
- 14:03Speaker 2: airport and he's checking his messages and he's like checking
- 14:07Speaker 2: his messages because this is pre ubiquitous self uh huh,
- 14:10Speaker 2: And he's like, did she did you get on the plane?
- 14:11Speaker 2: Did you get on the plane? Because she's left him
- 14:13Speaker 2: a message from the plane where she's like talking about
- 14:15Speaker 2: her feelings, and you see him say like did you
- 14:17Speaker 2: get on the plane? And she walks in the room
- 14:18Speaker 2: and she goes, I didn't get on the plane. It
- 14:20Speaker 2: gave me that moment of like calling her and rushing
- 14:24Speaker 2: to her. I thought it was a.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Nice that's funny because you know what.
- 14:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:28Speaker 1: What moment it reminded me of in a big movie
- 14:30Speaker 1: is Jerry maguire. You had me a hello.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it gave me that kind of feeling. I love
- 14:36Speaker 2: Jerry McGuire movie. Jerry McGuire movie Show Me. It's one
- 14:40Speaker 2: of my favorite movies. I love that movie. I haven't
- 14:43Speaker 2: seen that movie in years, but I did enjoy it.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Quin it makes me feel a certain way. I love it.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I have a wished for about that particular scene though. Okay,
- 14:50Speaker 2: so we'll talk about that.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I do love me before and after, and I gotta
- 14:54Speaker 1: tell you I loved it when Nick took her shopping
- 14:56Speaker 1: for a revenge dress.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I love before and after only because I want to
- 15:01Speaker 1: be in before and after.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I don't think she needed like any sort of like
- 15:07Speaker 1: fussing with no.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah, she just needs some color in a wardrobe.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah. And one last thing, shout out to his scriptwriters.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I thought the lines, like you said, were sharp, quick
- 15:17Speaker 1: and witty.
- 15:18Speaker 2: What you wish for?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Okay, I wish they didn't make Sonya so uptight.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, now hear me out.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I think she has valid reasons for not wanting to
- 15:28Speaker 1: be Scott's plus one and instead of like, what's the
- 15:32Speaker 1: word I'm looking for. I don't want to see Validae again.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Is hearing her reasons? Like they just put her into
- 15:39Speaker 1: this like oh, she's uptight.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And I didn't like that.
- 15:43Speaker 1: She Yes, she's career driven, but I can't stand when
- 15:48Speaker 1: they portray a career driven woman as being uptight. Remember
- 15:52Speaker 1: a pairs proposal. They did the same thing there. Sure,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I can't stand it. I agree, it gets me fired up.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I wish that I could believe that smart, strong Sonya
- 16:01Speaker 2: would want.
- 16:02Speaker 1: To get back together with Scott. He didn't treat her
- 16:06Speaker 1: very kindly.
- 16:07Speaker 2: No, and I felt like after the breakup when they're
- 16:11Speaker 2: like back together kind of or exploring getting back together,
- 16:14Speaker 2: I didn't believe it. And he was like, I like
- 16:17Speaker 2: the new you, and she's like it's the same flag me. Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 1: He just liked that she showed up and looked pretty
- 16:24Speaker 1: and when up.
- 16:26Speaker 2: In this first restaurant scene, he's like, I thought you
- 16:29Speaker 2: were going to dress up. Oh my god. I would
- 16:32Speaker 2: have been like I would have turned around and walked
- 16:34Speaker 2: out of that restaurant. I mean, I like to think
- 16:36Speaker 2: it would be strong enough to be like mmm mmmmmmmm yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I mean she was enough.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She was totally enough successful beautiful, Like why did she
- 16:46Speaker 1: have to be arm candy as well?
- 16:49Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Oh that bugged me so much. Here's my problem with
- 16:53Speaker 1: the sound in this movie. Okay, there were scenes in
- 16:56Speaker 1: the studio, like when they were done with their show
- 17:00Speaker 1: and they're just talking, and then you would hear background
- 17:03Speaker 1: music and you would also hear other talking, like there's
- 17:06Speaker 1: another talk show going on, and it was too much.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And at times I would be like, is my podcast
- 17:13Speaker 1: like playing right now while I'm watching streaming this?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Like it was so weird. I just don't know if
- 17:20Speaker 1: like it only bugged me, or if it bugged other
- 17:23Speaker 1: people too. I got one more that final scene. It
- 17:27Speaker 1: was it was a five star movie until that final scene.
- 17:30Speaker 2: For me.
- 17:31Speaker 1: She goes in that monologue, I was falling in love,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and I was like, no, because you just got out
- 17:41Speaker 1: of this not so great long term relationship. Take it slow,
- 17:47Speaker 1: say you're developing feelings for this person, because when he
- 17:49Speaker 1: comes in, he goes, I was having feelings for you too.
- 17:51Speaker 2: He didn't say like I was falling in love with you, Like.
- 17:55Speaker 1: There's this whole like rebound thing. Who knows. Just take
- 17:58Speaker 1: it slow down, slow down. Yeah, so it it knocked
- 18:03Speaker 1: it down a little bit for me.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And that one particular scene. Yeah, also the misunderstanding moment
- 18:10Speaker 2: that we didn't need, where she overhears him saying like
- 18:15Speaker 2: she's boring and uninteresting and annoying, and I won't bring
- 18:18Speaker 2: her to poker again.
- 18:19Speaker 1: M hm.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Why would I don't? It's so obnoxious, like it doesn't
- 18:23Speaker 2: even sound like he's talking about her. I know. And
- 18:26Speaker 2: I feel like the relationship they've built where they've antagonized
- 18:30Speaker 2: each other this whole time. She would say, are you
- 18:34Speaker 2: talking about me?
- 18:34Speaker 1: M m? Yeah, I agree, Like he invited you over, girl,
- 18:39Speaker 1: you built your dinner popcorn, but they had dinner too,
- 18:42Speaker 1: different night maybe different nights. Okay, let's talk about did
- 18:45Speaker 1: you see that?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Do you have any who eats a snow cone at
- 18:48Speaker 2: the movies? That's a good freaking question.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Nobody, nobody, nobody, icy but not drips, get all over
- 18:57Speaker 1: the place.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Big mess, get it.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, they should have had her spill and icy on him. Huh,
- 19:01Speaker 1: that would have been a better idea.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Okay, tech did an age well in this movie, because
- 19:07Speaker 1: now you can.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Delete a text. Oh unsnd it unsend it?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yes, Yes, then, of course we would have had to
- 19:13Speaker 1: illuminate all the hyjiinks of her getting back into his
- 19:16Speaker 1: place through the dog door.
- 19:18Speaker 2: You hate it? Of course? I actually thought it. I
- 19:20Speaker 2: watched that scene. I thought, oh, Wendy's hating this, and
- 19:23Speaker 2: I just I thought her commitment to the bit was
- 19:25Speaker 2: pretty incredible, like she's running up and down the stairs
- 19:27Speaker 2: and back and forth. I kind of thought it was humorous,
- 19:30Speaker 2: even though they're crawling in the dog door. I could
- 19:31Speaker 2: have done with it.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I didn't hate the entire thing, just was like, oh.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Well, and now that he's awake, how she oh she
- 19:38Speaker 2: sneaks back out the dog door.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Never mind nash cat, Well he's awake, Like, you don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: hear that? I know?
- 19:42Speaker 2: And why did she at that point? She didn't need
- 19:44Speaker 2: to pretend to not be there. She could be like
- 19:46Speaker 2: walking out of the back.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Oh, I was saying in the restroom, Well after you
- 19:50Speaker 1: woke up? Yeah, like it was all in the same
- 19:53Speaker 1: like our time frame.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Yeah, at least standing in the kitchen. It's still nighttime, right,
- 19:57Speaker 2: it wouldn't be that weird that you were still there exactly. Okay, agree,
- 20:01Speaker 2: I have one more.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Did you see that Nick is wearing cats? And visibility
- 20:05Speaker 1: Cloak When he walks, he's like walking the dog and
- 20:08Speaker 1: her and Scott walk out and they say goodbye, and.
- 20:10Speaker 2: He's like around the corner leaning out. Can Telly Sammy
- 20:14Speaker 2: their invisibility Cloak corners totally? You know, she doesn't even
- 20:18Speaker 2: see him or the big giant dog. I don't believe
- 20:20Speaker 2: that the dog wouldn't be like your friend exactly. What'd
- 20:24Speaker 2: you rate this movie?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Four point seven five stars?
- 20:27Speaker 2: Wow? I get four point two five. I liked it
- 20:30Speaker 2: so much I did too. This is great. This might
- 20:33Speaker 2: be might be my favorite of our rewatches so far.
- 20:37Speaker 2: So far, not rewatches the favorite of our actual yeah
- 20:41Speaker 2: four movies.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Well, I've liked them all, me too, but this is
- 20:46Speaker 1: my highest rated so far. Is there one that's going
- 20:49Speaker 1: to beat it?
- 20:49Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. This was so fun
- 20:52Speaker 2: and I almost love that it was an actor that
- 20:55Speaker 2: we're not going to see again this summer or anytime soon.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Jonathan'scarfet Yes, who knows when we'll see him again? Right?
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah? I don't know unless I watch more Van Hills
