  [SPEAKER_00]: And talk about if these players make sense for the Jaguars, just to give you kind of like,

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, we've talked a little bit about PFF's number one free agent, Edge Defender, Tray Hendrixon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does make sense for the Jack Wars in that,

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not a long-term investment.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's up there in age.
• 1:23
  [SPEAKER_00]: PFF projects a $1 year, $21 million deal, which is a deal in which, so you're not doing much to impact your future at the position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you could theoretically, if you sign tray Hendrix into a one-year deal, sign him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and also extend Trayvon Walker, and you still have Trayvon Walker and Josh Hines Allen as these current and future pieces for your team, but Tray Hendrickson is just kind of like this all-in-year type of deal for the Jag wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The issue with signing a player to a one-year deal, $21 million, is that the Jags,

  [SPEAKER_00]: don't have a ton of cap space right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're in the negative right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to get creative.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to potentially make cuts and or restructure contracts and or extend players to get under the cap and then to get some actual cushion with the cap as well to make a move like this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the issue with a one-year deal is that you don't get to spread out that signing bonus throughout the,

  [SPEAKER_00]: length of the contract because there is no length of the contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What you can do is add void years, which the Jaguar certainly I think would do if they were to sign tray Hendrix and it's an interesting one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he plays a position where the Jaguar could use some help though.

  [SPEAKER_00]: George Pickens, Cowboys, no, I'm just going to go ahead and say no, I don't think the Jaguars need to go signing a receiver, they have Jacobi Myers, they have obviously Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr. Britain's Strange is a big receiving thread as well, so I'm going to go know for that one, Center Tyler Linderbaum, the Jaguars do not need a center, don't need much explanation there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Number four, linebacker, Devon Lloyd, Jacksonville, Jaguars, their contract projection for Devon Lloyd's three years, 48 million, that's 16 million a year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if they're closer to the mark, golly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 16 million a year does kind of feel like a value for him the way he played this past year in the way he can operate in your defense as somebody who can make positive plays in coverage who can Defend the run at a high level and rush the passer So yeah, I mean if you could get Devon at 16 million Sure knock yourself out, but you have other

  [SPEAKER_00]: Other areas of the team you got to worry about for sure, but and to me, there is going to be a ton of cheaper free agent linebackers that could make sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have ventral Miller and Jack Kaiser who in combination could make sense playing next to foe, Luke and and you have a loaded draft class at linebacker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, take all that into consideration, but yeah, I'd love to see Devon Lloyd back in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jamel Dean corner back out of Tampa.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about him before on the channel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good zone cover corner and Liam Cohen has personal experience with him on the opposite side of the ball in Tampa.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's over $18 million per year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That number I would say no, because I would just rather have Buster Brown at a cheaper number.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think objectively most people would say he's an upgrade over Buster Brown by the way Buster Brown played last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would rather get buster at a much cheaper number than that one at six Kenneth Walker running back Seattle Sea Hawks great player projection is three years 27 million from PFF yeah I mean that's a great value honestly for Kenneth Walker but to me you have a free agent running back in Travis ETN and if you're going to sign a free agent running back in this range you know like

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now you're locking yourself in with three guys on the edge and Trayvon Walker, Josh Hines Allen, and it's off a way potentially, which that's just a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One year deal, and there's other edge players who I think would be cheaper than Adolfet O.A.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you're talking about almost 20 million per year, linebacker Devin Bush, Cleveland Browns.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And for some reason, they're projecting him to get a lot more money than Kenneth Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Three years, 37 million, no, I would not be doing that if I was the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Probably talking about a year one capit of like two or three million pennies on the dollar compared to Devin Lloyd.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would rather have him than try Hendrix in personally, but they're projecting a one year 15 million dollar deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is a range in which I would feel comfortable with signing Travis ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is, that's somebody who I would love to have back in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I do understand the value that you have in basial tuton and Lee Quay Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's always a bunch of running backs in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And there's cheaper running backs as well, such as Rico Dattel, who is projected $8.5 million per year, not the same level of player, in my opinion, that

  [SPEAKER_00]: that ETN is not the same type of player at all, but somebody who I think can take a lot of carries for you and give you a lot of quality work, more of a bigger physical back whereas ETN is that super explosive back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 17 guard Isaac Seymaloo, Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jaguars do not need to sign a guard, 18 quarterback Malik Willows, Green Bay Packers, the Jaguars don't need to sign.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, I don't think that this is a position that Jaguars need to address him for agency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have Antonio Johnson, absolute breakout star.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not against this one necessarily, but I don't know if it's like, are you pivoting away from Devon Hamilton if you do this?

  [SPEAKER_00]: The only argument I would have for pivoting away from Devon Hamilton is if you just feel like your nose needs to be able to get a little bit more pass rush, which he's not doing much of right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're projecting three years, 49 million for him, which, you know, that's a hefty deal, 49 divided by three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would rather have Travis CTN, but if you're trying to go cheaper, let's say we've talked about this up before, but let's say the Jaguars, they want to go cheaper at running back, but they don't want to have two second-year players and one rookie as their entire backfield.
