  like this week. I was fasting and yo fasting is

  it's powerful man. It is.

  I think that honestly, every Christian should be practicing I
• 1:28
  There's just something about fasting, man.

  When you make it about God, obviously, because, you know,
• 1:33
  there's fasting for vanity, there's fasting for health, but
• 1:37
  then there's that fasting for God, you know, which is
• 1:40
  spiritual, like spiritual fasting.
• 1:43
  It's different. Yeah, you know.

  With that being said, like I'm not, I'm not encouraging too
• 1:52
  fast for your, I mean you can fast for your health.
• 1:55
  There's something wrong with that, I guess.
• 1:56
  Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that, Yeah.

  But there is also that fine line because then you're doing it

  because you want to lurk a certain way.

  Yeah, so I know why you meant by, but by fasting for for
• 2:12
  vanity. However, fasting does have good

  benefits. No, it does.

  Just a little like fact about fasting.

  Like I was reading a book about a pastor's name is trying to

  remember his name Pastor Jensen. He's a pastor in Georgia.

  So pictured he wrote a book about fasting, or at least how

  to prepare yourself for a 21 day fast.

  How to prepare yourself? Yeah, like, you know, physically

  for a 21 day fast, 'cause you know, it's 2121 days.

  Yeah. And for those who don't know,

  that 21 days are basically like, it's what they use, basically

  what Daniel fasted those three weeks.

  But the cool fact is that apparently when like you

  fasting, you like the first 2-3, four days, you start to feel
• 3:08
  headaches and all that. And it there is a scientific
• 3:13
  information that's going on there, basically like your
• 3:16
  body's getting rid of all these toxins.

  So that's the headache. Yeah, it's getting ridic, right?

  Right. And also, that's one information
• 3:26
  I was reading about where he talks about that also too, when
• 3:29
  I, I went through cancer, the doctor also told me that it's OK
• 3:33
  if I undergo a couple facets, you know, if it's 12 hours, 16
• 3:37
  hours. So I asked to be fair, at that
• 3:42
  time, I didn't really know much about when it was like what that
• 3:44
  really meant versus now I know much more.

  They told me that, you know, putting your body in a state of
• 3:53
  where it starves a little bit, it kind of kills whatever
• 3:57
  cancerous cells. It's like, it's almost like you
• 3:59
  starve it. Yeah, so.

  It's only then other solution is to destroy itself, right?

  So in that regard, it does help. So it does help with their
• 4:08
  health, Yeah. And kept potentially prepared

  for like long fast. I'm sorry I'm going on a rant, I

  just wanted to. No, no, you go.

  To to talk about the benefits of fasting, but also since we are
• 4:21
  innately wicked, we can then start using it for an event for
• 4:24
  our advantage. Yeah, absolutely.

  To have a vain life, if you will.

  Yeah. I mean, I bring this, I guess

  this topic of only because, you know, yesterday we were reading

  about, you know, like temptation of Jesus, the temptation of

  Jesus when he, you know, he was led onto the mountain by the

  Spirit and was tempted by the tempter.

  And then it says the devil. Very interesting.

  But it's just the things that, you know, the enemy brought to
• 5:06
  Jesus, those three things, you know, it's like those are the
• 5:10
  three things we strive for as humans, you know, the, the
• 5:14
  bread, the city and, and, and the testing God.

  Those are the things that we strive for.

  Even, you know, as, as believers, you know what I mean?

  Like we as human beings, we rely on the elements of this earth so
• 5:31
  much. We rely on water, we rely on the
• 5:35
  earth, right? We rely on fire.
• 5:37
  And, you know, we rely on the wind, we rely on all these
• 5:41
  elements. So pause there before we, before
• 5:43

  You just remind me of that. But may I ask you, you said you

  were, you learned something about fasting, right Those two

  days. Right.

  Oh, what I learned. Oh yeah, that's so you know,

  what I learned in those days of fasting was how pleasing when
• 6:07
  you make it about God, when you make your fasting about God, how
• 6:10
  amazing and pleasing it feels to your spirit when you're putting

  your own flesh into suffering. Like if you literally feel like
• 6:17
  you're suffering, but it feels good.
• 6:20
  It does not feel like a burden. Now the times I fasted for, for
• 6:23
  like health and vanity, it feels like it's like I'm suffering,
• 6:27
  bro. It does not feel peaceful.
• 6:28
  But when I fast for God, just God, so just, you know, like my
• 6:32
  eyes on God, making it all about him, dude, like my flesh is in
• 6:37
  suffering. But the fact that I am like so
• 6:40
  clear minded, I open up my Bible, I meditate and I read.
• 6:44
  And then while you're fasting, you go into this mode of being
• 6:48
  present. You're not thinking about when
• 6:51
  it's going to end or how you know how you start it.
• 6:55
  It's like you're just in the present moment.
• 6:58
  And that's how you know you're doing that that fast for God
• 7:02
  because the fast for vanity and and your health, you have a time
• 7:06
  and you look at the time and you're like, OK, it's going to
• 7:08
  end soon. But when you fast for God,
• 7:11
  you're in this moment of like, it's just you and him.
• 7:15
  And that's true. And you know, that's scripture
• 7:17
  because Daniel, we, we know that it was 21 days, right?
• 7:22
  He was interrupted at the 21st. The, the, the, that would be his
• 7:26
  last at the 21st day, the last one, right, Right.

  Had he not been interrupted, he would have kept going.

  No, that's true and. And it's only proof because the
• 7:35
  Angel had told them when you even started, God already
• 7:38
  answered your prayer, right? But I was being held back by a
• 7:42
  battle that he was undergoing the the Archangel Gabriel,
• 7:46
  right? So God had already heard him,

  but he kept going. Yeah.

  And by the time the Angel defeated that battle or won the
• 7:55
  battle, was Victor victorious. He then lets him know at the

  that at the third week towards the third week.

  Exactly. Had he not had he not been
• 8:04
  interrupted, he would have kept going.

  Yeah, he would have kept going. So like basically what you're

  saying? No, no, that's actually a good

  point that you bring up too. Because even even Moses of being

  on the mountain without. Yeah, we know it was 40 days.

  but basically they were fasting in the temple, right?

  And then the Spirit of God came over them and then told him to

  go right, right. And, and and they were fasting

  for, for like, I think I don't know how many days.

  But yeah, like you said, like they were just so into the
• 8:53
  moment that they were not thinking about when is this fast
• 8:56
  going to end. It was just present, learning,
• 8:59
  observing all about God. And then what was it that you

  learned when you were that in that moment?

  In that moment present in that present moment, I learned what
• 9:09
  it what it, what it meant. Even though I have fasted a few
• 9:11
  times before, but I learned what it really, really, truly meant
• 9:15
  that what it means to make a fast.

  I know this is going to sound so simple and so basic, but I, I
• 9:24
  learned what, what it means to truly make a fast about, about
• 9:29
  God. Yeah, on top of that too, I did
• 9:33
  learn something else too, that when you fast for God, you do
• 9:37
  not rely on anything. And what I mean by this, I mean
• 9:44
  it like for example, during my fast, I've done this, but I
• 9:47
  learned during that fast that you shouldn't really be doing
• 9:50
  that. You should should be about God
• 9:53
  like that. You shouldn't try to use the
• 9:58
  things that you cope with into your fast.

  So I'll give you an example. I love fishing.

  Like I love it, man. I like it's, it's, it's
• 10:07
  something gentle, something. Yeah.

  Sondo, you know. It's solemn, it's solemn.

  It's. Yeah, solemn activity, you know,

  you fish, you look at the fish, you let it go.

  No harm, you know, with, with, you know, anything sinful in it.

  But however, if you're in the fast and then you're like, you

  know what, God, I'm going to go spend time with you, Lord, you

  know, you know, it's, you know, I just want to spend time with

  you and then you go fishing. But to truth be told, if fishing

  was taken away from you, then where's your alone time with
• 10:40
  God? Where's your, you know, where's
• 10:41
  that time with God that you say, you know, is it still the same?

  Will it remain the same, you know, if you're fishing or not?

  So what I'm trying to say is that like when when you fast,
• 10:50
  just be in the present, be in the present moment, in the
• 10:54
  moment, you realize that you are in the present moment and you're
• 10:56
  not thinking about time. It's like that's how you know
• 10:59
  you're making it about God. Yeah.

  So you're saying too, like if, if you're in that past, if
• 11:03
  you're doing an activity, that activity has to be centered by
• 11:06
  God, like God has to be the centre?

  Has to be the centre of it, right?

  Exactly. And always be spiritually active

  in your fast. Yeah, yeah.

  So dude, I, I, I don't know why, but some I've been like, I've

  been walking with God for three years, but for some reason that,

  that 2D fast putting my, my flesh into suffering with joy.

  I was like, whoa, this is, this is powerful.

  You feel like the power because your mind is so clear when you
• 11:39
  read the scriptures, you're reading in between the lines and
• 11:43
  it's not your mind that is making up this wisdom.

  It is, you know, it's definitely coming from God because it, it,

  it convicts you, convicts you, you know, it convicted me a lot,

  Interesting. That's good that every time

  you're genuine for for something that has to do with God, God

  And obviously this is not to boast, this is for people to

  listen. Everybody, I'm sure everybody

  goes to fasting. But yeah, again, this is not

  something that gives you points. No it doesn't.

  This is disciplining of the flesh is what false talks about,

  You're putting your body in in a very like suffering stage, but

  with joy. It's, it's weird, you know, it's

  beautiful at the same time. Yeah, that's that's awesome,

  encounter Christ had with the enemy.

  don't have a father or vice versa.

  They don't have a mom, right? They have that they grow up with

  just either or not both. Sometimes they relate to anime

  or or or show that's family oriented because they don't have

  that. So they feel that right, right,

  right. But in another case, they say a

  boy or girl is it does grow up with a father and mother.

  They might not have that emptiness.

  They have this like adrenaline like when one of their cart like
• 13:59
  favorite characters just like cast power or Superman or

  whatever. Right, right.

  It's because we have that desire to want to have power.

  We want to have control power. We want to be yeah, on top of

  feel like this power, but this power of not like ego, this

  power of like, of like the presence of God.

  It's a strength, yes. And I think it's a strength that

  I can do all things to Christ, right?

  That strengthens me. Yes.

  I think it's that power. Yeah, that strength.

  And I then told my cousin, This is why we we relate to this,

  because obviously back in my time, anime wasn't so as as

  I've fallen into this that we keep forgetting.

  We keep forgetting that we are dealing with principalities of

  darkness, evil things behind the scenes that we don't even see.

  And they do not rely on power within this earth.

  They they have, they rely on something completely different.

  And I think human beings rely too much on the things of the

  earth, which, remember what Paul said.

  We do not deal with flesh and blood, but, you know,

  principalities of darkness and evil.

  So this is a spiritual battle once again, a spiritual battle.

  We cannot fight this with the elements of earth.

  Yeah. So just to keep that in mind

  must not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes

  from the mouth of God. Then the devil took him to the

  holy city he had. He had him stand on the pinnacle

  of the temple and said to him, If you are the Son of God, throw

  yourself down, for it is written, He will give his angels

  orders concerning you, and they will support you with their
• 18:14
  hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a

  stone. Jesus told him, It is also

  written, Do not test the Lord your God.

  Again. The devil took him to a very
• 18:29
  high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and

  their splendor. And he said to him, I will give

  you all these things if you will fall down and worship me.

  Then Jesus told him, Go away, Satan, for it is written,

  worship the Lord your God and serve only him.

  Then the devil left him, Angels came and began to serve him.

  Three things he tempted him with.

  between the lines, it seems like there's two deceivers here,

  the last two versus the one you get to see where they are in

  their elements and what they're using right against you and what

  to use jurisdiction that they have in regards to realm.

  but Christ's confidence was so much on God that he said man

  you, and they will support you with their hands, so that you

  will not strike your foot against a stone.

  OK, so in this second one, so now then the devil, someone else

  from different from the tempter, right?

  He tempts him by saying throw yourself, right, meaning he's

  alright, go ahead. And he says do not, you shall

  not test your God, right, right. But the devil likes to defy God,

  or at least to challenge, right? Challenge a challenge.

  Or at least the devil thinks I'm posing God a challenge, right?

  The Lord Christ says you are not to test Him.

  The reason why not to test him is because then he's going to

  pour all His wrath. So you don't want the wrath?

  the enemy right before we go to the perspective of of us and the

  example that Christ left us. So in the tempter, he's he's

  then literally shows him what he capacity that enemy has or

  jurisdiction he has in giving, right.

  wants you to go against God one the enemy will always come to

  attack your ego. These are just based on this

  story and we can do many other things based on this right here

  at the most basic form ego. He will challenge God and to be

  to be. To be fair, the enemy is only

  given permission right to do certain things, otherwise he

  wouldn't be able to. Yeah, yeah, absolutely,

  Christ to like to a mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of

  the world, and he said, I will give you all these things if you

  will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus told him, go away

  sitting. For it is written, worship the

  Lord your God, and serve him only there.

  So based on those things that that Christ gave us the example

  of God being the senator that we will live by his word alone.

  Right. Right that you are not to test

  God simply because you think you're just this little child

  who deserves everything, simply not because you're entitled to

  that, right? Right.

  And 3rd we're we're always, we always.

  He is overall. That's the positive example he's

  showing us in this temptation that we can now read is that

  we're always going to want to be egotistical.

  Everything that the world has to offer.

  And we forget that the jurisdiction that be that

  belongs to the enemy, right, Right.

  it's not under God's permission. And so also in the story of Job,
