Chinese authorities dispatch funds, relief items to mudslide-hit Gyirong Port
Heavy casualties are feared near Gyirong Port in Xizang after a mudslide on the Nepalese side of the border. Finance and emergency management authorities, along with China's top economic regulator, have earmarked 220 million yuan, or nearly 33 million US dollars, in relief funds.
