- 0:00Hello, good morning.
- 0:01Happy Monday to you.
- 0:04I am Samuel Trapp.
- 0:05This is International Flavor.

- 0:45If you like my shows, you can go
- 0:47out to internationalflavor.com and download them all.
- 0:52I'm trying to figure out as well how
- 0:55to be a good citizen and post the
- 0:59fact that my shows are ongoing on Facebook,
- 1:04but the system isn't quite allowing it.
- 1:08It is, but it's painful and so I
- 1:12don't like to do it.
- 1:13If it was easy, everybody would do it,
- 1:16right?
- 1:17I'm going to figure that out though here
- 1:20in the next couple of weeks so that
- 1:21we can have comments streaming while we like.
- 1:25I used to do it when I did
- 1:27this show as a video and I still
- 1:29do it that way when I do it
- 1:31in Russian, but I don't advertise it very
- 1:33well and frankly I've been a bit lax
- 1:36in getting my Russian version out.
- 1:39At any rate, that is how you follow
- 1:42the program if you wish to.
- 1:44You can also follow civicoutlaws.com forward slash
- 1:47podcast.
- 1:48We have some mainly Missouri-focused government overreach
- 1:55BS because I happen to be the director
- 1:58of a charity by the name of Civic
- 2:01Outlaws, which is a 501c3 and our 501c6
- 2:08is a lobbying organization called Missouri Licensing Advocacy
- 2:14Group, MOLAG, M-O-L-A-G, and
- 2:19our members are quite active in pushing back
- 2:23against state overreach.
- 2:27The licensing goes toward any licensing attack by
- 2:32the state of Missouri attack crowd, which is
- 2:36prevalent in the liquor control and the attorney
- 2:39general's office, and we talk about that on
- 2:43our Friday program.
- 2:46Today, however, remember when you used to have
- 2:51to speak into your little recording device?
- 2:55I had one that would record.
- 2:56Remember when MP3 was first coming out and
- 2:59everybody was buying these little MP3 players?
- 3:01Oh my God, I don't have to carry
- 3:03around four CDs or eight CDs or whatever
- 3:06it is with my disc man.
- 3:09I don't need a disc man.
- 3:10I can get an MP3 player.
- 3:12And if you're biking down the trail, you
- 3:14could have these MP3s.
- 3:15And so you could create MP3 of all
- 3:20of your stuff.
- 3:21And if you're driving down the road, well,
- 3:23like when I went to law school, I
- 3:26had a full-time job in downtown Dallas
- 3:31and I lived in a little place called
- 3:33Cedar Hill, which is 30 miles every morning
- 3:36in traffic downtown to Dallas.
- 3:40Then at night from six to 10 PM,
- 3:43four nights a week, I would go across
- 3:46from Dallas to Fort Worth, another 30, 31,
- 3:5132, 33 miles, go to school at 10
- 3:55PM.
- 3:56I would drive an hour back home and
- 3:5940 minutes back home, 30 miles.
- 4:02How do you like that?
- 4:03A big triangle every single day, about a
- 4:06hundred miles a day on my little S10
- 4:08pickup, which I loved.
- 4:11Drove through a F5 tornado then, which hit
- 4:17downtown Fort Worth whilst I was in school.
- 4:20That was pretty damn cool.
- 4:21We're all in the basement and I'm like,
- 4:22I'm out.
- 4:23I can beat this.
- 4:24I couldn't beat it.
- 4:26Anyway, that's not the story of today.
- 4:28Today, we're just a few reminiscences of Texas
- 4:32and the beauty of living in the metropolitan
- 4:35area of Dallas, Fort Worth.
- 4:37Beautiful area, loved it.
- 4:39Being an HR director for a company called
- 4:42SGL Carbon, which filed bankruptcy.
- 4:50I think they're still around though.
- 4:52Huge German company with an office.
- 4:55We had probably 10,000 US employees.
- 4:59Anyway, I was the HR director for two
- 5:01plants in Dallas while attending law school.
- 5:04It was rather entertaining and I had a
- 5:06good time.
- 5:07At any rate, here we are today, many,
- 5:10many years later, talking about Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin
- 5:16and his appearance at SPIEF, which is
- 5:26the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
- 5:36And that is news.
- 5:40And if you don't know about this news,
- 5:42I'm going to share it with you.
- 5:44It's pretty funny because I had some AI
- 5:48go through it and it came back in
- 5:51Russian.
- 5:52But that probably wouldn't
- 6:02sound well, so I had them translate it
- 6:05to say this version of the song, which
- 6:07came out in approximately...
- 6:09well, the clip anyway.
- 6:10And the new clip came out in 2023.
- 6:15And in the sources, it is said that
- 6:18the music is Vladimir Genov.
- 6:20And the words were written by Ruslan Astashka
- 6:24and Magomed Norbogandov.
- 6:28And so there's some very good...
- 6:30this song.
- 6:30So this song I wish to play for
- 6:32you, which is really pretty funny because you
- 6:35can't find it.
- 6:36They listed three or four for me.
- 6:38And in Western versions and on YouTube, you
- 6:41cannot find that song.
- 6:43Now, I believe I was able to find
- 6:46it on Telegram.
- 6:47And so for the second song today, I
- 6:49believe I'm going to play it for you.
- 6:50But you want to talk about propaganda, okay?
- 6:53Let's talk about the limiting of freaking music,
- 6:58okay?
- 6:59You can't play the song because the song,
- 7:03part of the words, and Putin used them.
- 7:06And I believe he did it intentionally.
- 7:08He didn't say, hey, this is the song
- 7:10I'm thinking of.
- 7:12But he did list it when he was
- 7:15speaking at the Economic Forum.
- 7:17So I'll walk you through that.
- 7:20I have enough materials over the weekend I
- 7:22watched.
- 7:23So I'm going to share with you.
- 7:26We may get to it today, but I
- 7:27kind of doubt it.
- 7:28We have some full questioning from the old
- 7:31Vladimir Vladimirovich.
- 7:33And I think we're going to be able
- 7:37to go through some of those questions and
- 7:41see what he talked about.
- 7:45And we also have for Maria Zakharova gave
- 7:53a, oh geez, a three and a half
- 7:57hour appearance for the, she gives one every
- 8:05week.
- 8:06And I was, what was I doing?
- 8:10Oh, I remember, I had a long day
- 8:12on Saturday.
- 8:14I finally bought a freaking lawnmower.
- 8:17I didn't say FN, I said freaking lawnmower.
- 8:21And I, because I made some mistakes with
- 8:25that this year and I bought a lawnmower
- 8:27and I swear it was horrific.
- 8:30I had two ticks on me by the
- 8:32end of the, you know, one of them
- 8:33left a nice little bump on the back
- 8:35of my neck.
- 8:36You know, I found him that night in
- 8:38the other one.
- 8:39I found the next freaking day after two
- 8:41showers.
- 8:42The little ass was still climbing on me
- 8:44and he had to have been in my
- 8:46hair, which I had washed twice.
- 8:48And that little sucker was still in there.
- 8:51So we're in.
- 8:52Maybe I should get a flea and tick
- 8:54collar for myself and wear it while mowing
- 8:56the grass or not let the grass get
- 8:59so damn long.
- 9:01But something really, really cool happened whilst mowing
- 9:03the grass as well.
- 9:04And I'm deferring from my thing here a
- 9:07little bit.
- 9:08But I listened during that six hour destruction
- 9:11of the yard waste, which still isn't enough.
- 9:17I listened to, in my earphones, SPIEF, the
- 9:21St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
- 9:24All of the appearances of it was introduced
- 9:28by Vladimir Putin.
- 9:30The master of ceremonies is, at least for
- 9:33this opening portion, was from India.
- 9:36There was a company from India.
- 9:38They said that 130 countries were represented.
- 9:42This is huge, by the way.
- 9:45And this is the one where and we're
- 9:47going to get to Scott Ritter later in
- 9:49the week, maybe today.
- 9:50But Scott Ritter appeared there.
- 9:53And this is the same economic forum that
- 9:57he was trying to get to in 2024.
- 10:01And think about this.
- 10:02It's the same time every freaking year or
- 10:05every other year.
- 10:06I think it's every year.
- 10:07But because last year I gave you some
- 10:10quotes from another guy and Scott didn't get
- 10:12his passport yet back.
- 10:13And then I interviewed Scott last August and
- 10:15he had gotten his passport back.
- 10:17He said he had just gotten it the
- 10:19day before I interviewed him.
- 10:20And he was telling me about how it
- 10:23got taken away and what really happened and
- 10:25what a scam it was, because he reported
- 10:29when he tried to get a new one.
- 10:30You can go back and listen to that
- 10:32audio or video of mine on my YouTube
- 10:34channel.
- 10:35You can go out and find that video
- 10:37of me and Scott doing the interview.
- 10:39And he said that they got onto the
- 10:42airplane and escorted him off and then nothing
- 10:45happened.
- 10:46They only did it to prevent him from
- 10:48going to this St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
- 10:52I would love to go to this and
- 10:54I and I'm going to St. Petersburg over
- 10:56Christmas this year.
- 10:57I talked about it last year.
- 10:59This year I'm freaking going and I have
- 11:01a person who says they're going to go
- 11:02with me.
- 11:03We shall see.
- 11:05But I'm definitely going and I think I'm
- 11:07going by myself and I'm going to spend
- 11:09I've always wanted to spend Christmas in Russia
- 11:12and I'm going to try to arrange some
- 11:14things.
- 11:15And I want to I've always want to
- 11:16spend see the Christmas season as Russians experience
- 11:20it in St. Petersburg specifically.
- 11:24And then I'll probably take a train down
- 11:26to Moscow, too, and visit there for a
- 11:28few days.
- 11:29But most of my time over Christmas, I
- 11:32wish to spend in St. Petersburg.
- 11:36Anyway, this forum goes every year and is
- 11:39very, very important for the rest of the
- 11:42world.
- 11:42And there's very few people.
- 11:44There was an American guy who got up
- 11:45and spoke, which was pretty cool.
- 11:48So during the opening of Vistuplenia, the part
- 11:50where they introduced the whole forum and what
- 11:55it's going to be, Vladimir Vladimirovich opened the
- 11:57show, right?
- 11:58And Vladimir Putin outlined specifically what was going
- 12:05on.
- 12:06And I'm going to, at some point, provide
- 12:09for you a direct translation of his opening
- 12:15statement.
- 12:17And I think because it was so important.
- 12:23Hang on a second.
- 12:25I have to look it up first in
- 12:28English.
- 12:28I wish if anybody could find one, it
- 12:32would be on YouTube and it'd be in
- 12:36English and it'd be crap.
- 12:41And so I want to tell you exactly
- 12:44what he said.
- 12:46And I have it.
- 12:46I just got to locate it in the
- 12:49proper way and put what he said.
- 12:52But the important part was, so the format
- 12:54of this thing is they have a huge
- 12:56hall and it's, you know, he spoke for
- 13:02whatever, 10, 15 minutes.
- 13:04And then the way the forum type works
- 13:06is they have an opening thing and then
- 13:08they break it off into a, I don't
- 13:14know, it's plenary.
- 13:15They have a plenary session, they have the
- 13:16out sessions, and then they have meeting rooms
- 13:19all over the place, you know, like any
- 13:21other forum.
- 13:22You know, if you go here at the
- 13:24Lake of the Ozarks, you go to the,
- 13:25and they're coming up pretty soon, your legal
- 13:28events come up, you know, your legal conferences
- 13:36are always here.
- 13:38And lots of conferences are here.
- 13:39You go to a hotel, you have several,
- 13:41you have the opening session where thousands of
- 13:44people get together.
- 13:45Well, here hundreds, but St. Petersburg, the opening
- 13:47hall had to have been seating four or
- 13:505,000 people.
- 13:51It's a big deal.
- 13:53And from all over the country.
- 13:55And the reason it's important is because of
- 13:59what I talk about here on this show
- 14:01fairly regularly.
- 14:03The world's changing.
- 14:05Whether you like it or don't like it
- 14:07really doesn't matter.
- 14:08Whether you think it's wrong or right, or
- 14:10whether you think hegemony is dead or it's
- 14:13not, it's not really the important part.
- 14:16The important part is whatever you think, the
- 14:20world's changing anyway.
- 14:22And it's changing fast.
- 14:24Friends and neighbors.
- 14:26And Vladimir Putin points that out.
- 14:29And Vladimir Putin, whatever you think of him,
- 14:33the guy is smart and he's been on
- 14:35a path since at least 2007 and probably
- 14:42before that.
- 14:44But it really became apparent and he openly
- 14:48discussed it at the Munich Security Conference in
- 14:542007 with Cheney.
- 14:57And there are a couple other goofballs there.
- 15:03Cheney was there.
- 15:05And the guy who flew around, well, I
- 15:07can't remember.
- 15:07Anyway, a bunch of people, US people and
- 15:10hegemony, and they're used to wandering around the
- 15:12planet and telling people what to do.
- 15:15And that's, you know, that's what we do.
- 15:18We're America.
- 15:19We wander around.
- 15:20We tell people what to do.
- 15:21And he told them then it's changing and
- 15:25they've been pushing it ever since.
- 15:26But it's a long freaking process.
- 15:30And so I thought that it would be,
- 15:32because nobody ever does it, to tell you
- 15:35the point of view of the world from
- 15:37Vladimir Vladimirovich and talk about it from his
- 15:41notes.
- 15:42It's a little bit long.
- 15:43It was a 10 to 15 minute.
- 15:44But I'm going to tell you what he
- 15:47said.
- 15:47And I think that it'll be enlightening for
- 15:51you because nobody takes the words directly from
- 15:54this guy.
- 15:55They just spout off over here.
- 15:58Oh, geez, all that propaganda, you bunch of
- 16:01Russian puppets, you know, but but they don't
- 16:04listen.
- 16:06And over here, nobody listens.
- 16:08In fact, they don't even put it out.
- 16:10It's a war of propaganda.
- 16:11And don't think that Putin doesn't have his
- 16:14own propaganda to.
- 16:15So you have to take everything.
- 16:18But.
- 16:20This is going to sound harsh, but he's
- 16:22far more realistic.
- 16:24Afterward, he gave after this thing.
- 16:26So later in the day, he gave with,
- 16:29again, the Indian moderator woman, an individual event.
- 16:34Where he spent another.
- 16:37Two and a half hours in an interview,
- 16:40and I listened to that every word of
- 16:42it and listened to the interview that she
- 16:45gave to him.
- 16:46And I have plenty of the.
- 16:48Quotes from those questions that were asked and
- 16:53everything that came from it.
- 16:57And.
- 16:58I think I'm going to share with you.
- 17:04Hang on a second, got one more thing
- 17:06to do.
- 17:07And.
- 17:11When he was being interviewed.
- 17:18He was talking about the change in the
- 17:20world that is going on, whether people like
- 17:23it or not.
- 17:25So let us begin, because I have the
- 17:27entire thing now.
- 17:28I wanted to make sure it was all
- 17:30there.
- 17:30And it appears that it is.
- 17:33And it's an interesting speech that he gave.
- 17:39And I verified this translation yesterday when I
- 17:42went through it and made sure that it
- 17:45was in good shape.
- 17:46But on Saturday, when I listened to it,
- 17:48I was like, man, I can't believe that
- 17:51people in America really are not provided a
- 17:57source for this information.
- 18:00Instead, they're told things like the only important
- 18:03thing over here in the West that you
- 18:05heard about the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
- 18:08is that Zelensky was bombing it with drones
- 18:13coming through Finland and through the Estonia, Latvia,
- 18:16Lithuania to hit St. Petersburg directly.
- 18:21And you hear that Zelensky published an open
- 18:26letter.
- 18:27And I'm going to share with you that
- 18:29open letter as well, because it's important, you
- 18:35know, what Zelensky said.
- 18:37That guy is an idiot, in my humble
- 18:40opinion.
- 18:42And he is living in a dream world.
- 18:48It's just people are sharing this.
- 18:52And basically he's saying it's 1,800 words.
- 18:57It's the entire letter that Zelensky puts out.
- 19:01BBC is all over it.
- 19:03And there were comments on what Putin said
- 19:08after this letter.
- 19:11And what I can't find is, and they
- 19:13won't send it to you, this open letter.
- 19:16But you can get summaries of it everywhere.
- 19:18But you can find it on Telegram.
- 19:21And I did have a copy, but now
- 19:23it's gone.
- 19:24So they're getting rid of the whole letter.
- 19:27And here we go.
- 19:28Here's a open letter to the president from
- 19:31Zelensky.
- 19:34Well, yeah, but it's only the news.
- 19:37Here it is.
- 19:38Here we go.
- 19:45Well, is it long enough?
- 19:47It's a longer, it's a long, there it
- 19:50is.
- 19:51Slava Ukraini.
- 19:52It ends at the end.
- 19:52Okay.
- 19:53So I found the English translation on the
- 19:55president's website, president of Ukraine.
- 19:59He did have it in English.
- 20:00I couldn't find it earlier.
- 20:02And so against the backdrop of this economic
- 20:06forum, they had to do something propaganda-wise
- 20:10to make this a big deal.
- 20:13He bombed all over Russia.
- 20:16The only thing the Ukrainians have left, okay,
- 20:19war is changing.
- 20:20They're losing badly on the front line, but
- 20:24war itself is changing.
- 20:26America doesn't need millions of soldiers anymore, except
- 20:30to, you could, with 200,000 or 200
- 20:35,000 to drone people, you could just go
- 20:39blow crap up all day long, every day.
- 20:41This is all that Ukraine has left.
- 20:44Okay.
- 20:44But they're steadily losing ground on the front.
- 20:50Sersky himself has been sent to, what's the
- 20:55name of that town?
- 20:58I can't remember.
- 21:00Ivanovka.
- 21:01I can't, well, it doesn't matter.
- 21:02It's in the Eastern half.
- 21:04And if they lose that city, it's, you
- 21:09know, turn off the freaking lights.
- 21:10Now that's not really true.
- 21:12It depends on if Russia is going to
- 21:14head into Odessa through Zaporizhia and all of
- 21:17that, they have to finish Zaporizhia.
- 21:19But virtually all of Donetsk, I might have
- 21:23that reversed, virtually all of Lugansk is held
- 21:25now by the Russians.
- 21:27And Donetsk, there's, it's literally maybe the Ukrainians
- 21:32are holding 10, 12% of that.
- 21:34And Sersky's gone over, I might have that
- 21:36reversed, but Sersky went over to personally frame
- 21:42it.
- 21:42And the communications you're getting from everywhere else
- 21:45is they're going to lose it.
- 21:47So they're losing badly on the front is
- 21:50all I'm saying.
- 21:51And the Russians have gained seriously.
- 21:54They're in the Sumy region.
- 21:55If they finish these three little pockets of
- 21:59Ukrainian resistance in the northern Sumy area with
- 22:03three little small towns that are in there,
- 22:07which they're losing, the Ukrainians are losing badly
- 22:09there, then it's nothing but open fields and
- 22:12forests all the way south to the connection
- 22:15to where they are in Zaporizhia.
- 22:18You know, it's getting worse and worse and
- 22:21worse.
- 22:21Infrastructure, Russia's targeting trucks on the road, you
- 22:26know, especially tanker trucks, because that's what Ukraine's
- 22:28doing to them.
- 22:29They're targeting infrastructure such as power and energy
- 22:33and oil and refining and ability to get
- 22:37places.
- 22:38Gas stations are being blown up regularly.
- 22:43Over the last two weeks, Russia has whatever
- 22:45the number is, 48, 50 gas stations.
- 22:48And Ukraine's doing the same thing in the
- 22:50other direction.
- 22:51And Russia is answering with these exact same
- 22:55strikes.
- 22:56They're mirroring what the Ukrainians are doing, because
- 22:59all the Ukrainians have left because they're losing
- 23:03and have been losing on the front.
- 23:06Now, they both got manning problems, but Ukraine's
- 23:09are 10 times worse.
- 23:11And the Russians, this is a new development.
- 23:14They've hit the end of the patriotic people
- 23:17joining, and that's not so much anymore.
- 23:20They're still patriotic, and they still have these
- 23:23huge bonuses.
- 23:24But my bonus information is from last fall
- 23:27when I was over in Moscow and saw
- 23:30the signs everywhere where they were given 8
- 23:32million rubles.
- 23:35Probably, what would that equate to?
- 23:38At the time, that would equate to $60
- 23:44,000, $80,000, somewhere in there.
- 23:47And so, whatever it is, it's a good
- 23:50chunk of money, because you can buy an
- 23:52apartment for that somewhere.
- 23:54And you can get a nice apartment for
- 23:56that.
- 23:57And you might even be able to get
- 23:58a Moscow small flat for that.
- 24:01You know what I mean?
- 24:02And not very good condition, not in the
- 24:05newer, richer areas.
- 24:06Definitely, those are about three times that, or
- 24:09five times that.
- 24:11They're $300,000.
- 24:14You can get a pretty tasty one over
- 24:17there.
- 24:17And at any rate, Zelensky writes this open
- 24:23letter to Vladimir Vladimirovich.
- 24:28And I'm not positive I want to share
- 24:30the whole thing with you, but in order
- 24:31to fully understand Putin's response, you've got to
- 24:35hear this letter.
- 24:36And so, I'm going to share it with
- 24:38you.
- 24:39We'll get to song one in this diatribe
- 24:45of mine, informing you as to what's going
- 24:47on in the world.
- 24:48And then we'll come back and talk about
- 24:50Vladimir Vladimirovich, okay?
- 24:52This is sort of a long letter.
- 24:54It's an open letter to the President of
- 24:56the Russian Federation from the President of Ukraine.
- 24:59Now, my history tells me Zelensky himself outlawed
- 25:05the ability of anyone to negotiate with Russia
- 25:08on behalf of Ukraine, including himself, okay?
- 25:12So, he can't go meet with Putin.
- 25:14They can't have meetings because he's outlawed it.
- 25:17He's been in power two years longer than
- 25:20he's supposed to be as a dictator, and
- 25:23nobody talks about it except Vladimir Vladimirovich and
- 25:28me.
- 25:28No, I'm kidding about the me part, but
- 25:30there are other people talking about it.
- 25:33But this guy has stolen power.
- 25:36The Ukrainians do not want to fight.
- 25:39Busification is real, okay?
- 25:42And busification is the art of pounding the
- 25:47crap out of people you find on the
- 25:48street and putting them into power.
- 25:52Vladimir Putin talks about this in his speech.
- 25:54So, let's hear their own words, the opening
- 25:56salvo of this fight whilst they are bombing
- 26:00and scaring international people at the St. Petersburg
- 26:04International Economic Forum with 150 to 250 drones
- 26:09attacking the city of St. Petersburg through the
- 26:13Finland territories, Latvia.
- 26:17Well, I'm not sure that Finland was involved,
- 26:19but all the surrounding countries are allowing Ukraine
- 26:24to fly over their territories with these drones
- 26:27so it's a shorter distance because they can't
- 26:29fly south from Ukraine.
- 26:31And so, they're allowing this.
- 26:32They're opening it.
- 26:32This is open war, right, on all sides.
- 26:36So, here comes the letter, finally, to President
- 26:41of the Russian Federation.
- 26:42Doesn't even name his name.
- 26:43When you came to power in Russia more
- 26:46than 26 years ago, many people in Ukraine
- 26:49viewed you positively.
- 26:50That is how it was, but that is
- 26:52now in the past.
- 26:53Now, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians view positively
- 26:57that our long-range drones paid a visit
- 27:00to the opening of your forum in St.
- 27:03Petersburg, covering a distance of more than a
- 27:05thousand kilometers.
- 27:06As you know very well, that distance is
- 27:09not the limit of our capabilities.
- 27:12So, he opens a letter basically with a
- 27:14gloating, threatening behavior.
- 27:18I mean, he's telling the world we're winning
- 27:21and he's not winning, okay.
- 27:23He might have some positive things to report,
- 27:25but they are not winning.
- 27:27This guy is lying and selling stuff to
- 27:30Europe and the U.S., okay.
- 27:32For 26 years, your time in power has
- 27:35completely changed the agenda of relations between Ukraine
- 27:38and Russia.
- 27:39Well, from discussions about trade and other civilian
- 27:43matters, our nations have moved to talking almost
- 27:46exclusively about strikes and losses.
- 27:50You spent nearly half of your 26 years
- 27:52in power in Russia, waging war against Ukraine.
- 27:57Now, where's the basis for that?
- 27:58I'd love to see it.
- 27:59Whatever you may say about NATO, geopolitics, or
- 28:02the Russian language, this war is your personal
- 28:05choice.
- 28:06A war without a real cause, that is
- 28:09how history will remember it.
- 28:12Not sure I agree with that.
- 28:14Those years could have been very different.
- 28:16We often hear that you are comfortable with
- 28:19this war.
- 28:20Of course, not in those cases when it
- 28:22comes to the security of your residence in
- 28:24Valdai or your parade in Moscow, because they
- 28:28bombed those too.
- 28:30They're like gnats on a horse.
- 28:33Or horse flies on a horse, I suppose,
- 28:36would be a better metaphorical example.
- 28:38Your own life is valuable to you.
- 28:41But now, we can all see that Russians
- 28:43are finally becoming less comfortable with this reality,
- 28:47with the fact that the war is bringing
- 28:48more and more negative consequences to Russia.
- 28:52They do not like our drones and missiles.
- 28:54They do not like gasoline shortages and constantly
- 28:57rising prices.
- 28:59They do not like constant restrictions.
- 29:01They do not like your intention to launch
- 29:03a second wave of mobilization.
- 29:06The first wave occurred in 2022, but not
- 29:08since.
- 29:10And expand the war into another direction in
- 29:11Ukraine, or use it against other countries neighboring
- 29:15Russia.
- 29:16Now, that is completely baseless accusation.
- 29:20That part, okay?
- 29:22The neighbor, the other countries.
- 29:25In fact, they're provoking Russia.
- 29:28They're continuing, you know, they're doing the same.
- 29:30They do not like the fact that the
- 29:32people of Russia, that there is no end
- 29:34in sight to your war.
- 29:35Yes, you can still force Russians to exist
- 29:38this way, but your resources are shrinking significantly.
- 29:42This is a desperate man, okay?
- 29:45He is desperate.
- 29:47You will not have enough money or political
- 29:49capital to keep buying the loyalty of Russians
- 29:52the way you have for the last 26
- 29:54years.
- 29:55And we will do everything we can to
- 29:57ensure that the world helps bring that moment
- 29:59closer.
- 30:00As you yourself like to say, we need
- 30:03to run the numbers.
- 30:05Yesterday, I received a report of the loss
- 30:08of your army on the front in Ukraine
- 30:10during May.
- 30:11Once again, the number exceeds 30,000 Russian
- 30:14soldiers killed and seriously wounded.
- 30:16We've been maintaining that level month after month.
- 30:19We have video confirmation of every one of
- 30:23your losses.
- 30:25You think?
- 30:26These are not empty claims.
- 30:29We know that 63% of your battlefield
- 30:31losses are killed and only 37% are
- 30:35wounded.
- 30:35In the 21st century, no army can afford
- 30:38such a ratio, and the share of those
- 30:40killed will continue to grow.
- 30:42It is not as if we in Ukraine
- 30:44are concerned about the fate of Russian soldiers
- 30:47after everything your war has brought to our
- 30:51country.
- 30:52But I do care about Ukrainians.
- 30:54I dispute that.
- 30:57We are losing our people and every loss
- 30:59is painful to us, even when the ratio
- 31:02of Ukraine.
- 31:02This is here comes the biggest lie of
- 31:04them all.
- 31:05Even when the ratio of Ukrainian losses to
- 31:07Russian losses is five or or five or
- 31:11one to he means is one to five
- 31:15or one to six.
- 31:16It still matters greatly.
- 31:17Now, that is a complete lie.
- 31:23He cannot he doesn't have anybody left.
- 31:26And so remember that when we get to
- 31:28Putin's response here later, it also matters that
- 31:31you're regularly postponed every few months, your own
- 31:34deadlines for capturing our regions, especially Donetsk, and
- 31:38you will not capture it this year either.
- 31:41But we in Ukraine do not want a
- 31:44permanent war.
- 31:45We know very well that life without war
- 31:47is infinitely better.
- 31:48And we want to achieve that.
- 31:50I am convinced that the majority of Russians
- 31:52would respond positively to this as well.
- 31:55And you know it.
- 31:57Many did not believe Ukraine would be able
- 31:59to hold out for so long.
- 32:00You did not believe it.
- 32:01And those who advised you did not believe
- 32:03it either.
- 32:04That is a mistake.
- 32:05You did not expect full scale resistance from
- 32:08Ukraine and you did not foresee that things
- 32:10would go this far.
- 32:11Yet here we all are in the fifth
- 32:13wheel war year of this full scale war.
- 32:15Do not be afraid to take the path
- 32:18out of this war.
- 32:20That is the path out of this war.
- 32:23That is the main thing that is required
- 32:25of you now.
- 32:26Ukraine has preserved its independence.
- 32:29This war was not about Ukrainian independence.
- 32:31So I don't understand why that's there anyway.
- 32:33And it will preserve it despite all predictions
- 32:36to the contrary.
- 32:38Many have united around the world to stand
- 32:41with Ukraine and against you.
- 32:42We found the weapons and financing we need.
- 32:45We receive support.
- 32:47You receive sanctions.
- 32:48And this will continue until there is justice
- 32:51for Ukraine.
- 32:52The justice we seek and the justice that
- 32:54can be achieved.
- 32:56We will not allow those who are trying
- 32:57to convince you that sanctions against Russia will
- 33:00be significantly eased and that support for Ukraine
- 33:03will be significantly reduced without any meaningful change
- 33:07in your position toward Ukraine to succeed.
- 33:10The example of Orban shows how those who
- 33:13choose to help Russia in this war against
- 33:15us end in disgrace.
- 33:18Ukraine has endured harsh winters while you tried
- 33:20to destroy our energy system.
- 33:22We held firm and even in darkness the
- 33:24resilience of Ukrainians remains intact.
- 33:27We brought the war onto your territory and
- 33:31you would not have been able to cope
- 33:33with it without North Korea's help.
- 33:35He's talking about you are the first ruler
- 33:38of Russia to turn to Pyongyang for assistance.
- 33:42And today you are fully dependent on China.
- 33:45Also for the first time in Russian history.
- 33:47I don't know where he's talking about this.
- 33:48So these are complete fabrications there.
- 33:52You believed Ukrainians would not have the strength
- 33:55to defend themselves.
- 33:56Yet today our people are helping our partners
- 33:59in the Middle East and the Gulf build
- 34:01their own defenses.
- 34:03I don't know what he's talking about there.
- 34:05You send over a couple hundred guys and
- 34:07suddenly you're the reason for the Middle East
- 34:10and the Gulf building their own defense.
- 34:12You hoped for internal unrest in Ukraine.
- 34:15Actually that it's pretty funny because I've been
- 34:17studying narcissism lately because I got some examples
- 34:21of it and they always accuse you of
- 34:23what they're guilty of.
- 34:25It's pretty damn funny.
- 34:26And here he is.
- 34:27You hoped for eternal unrest in Ukraine.
- 34:30Internal and eternal.
- 34:33But instead it was your own military formations
- 34:35that staged a mutiny against you.
- 34:38June 23rd will mark another anniversary of that
- 34:41event and silence will not erase this fact
- 34:44from history.
- 34:45And now it is you whom your own
- 34:47officials, businessmen, and propaganda look at with obvious
- 34:51fatigue.
- 34:51The world can see it.
- 34:53The world has not grown tired of Ukraine.
- 34:56I have been very tired of Ukraine and
- 34:58you as you long hoped it would.
- 35:00But there is growing fatigue with Russia, even
- 35:03among those in the wider world who help
- 35:05you bypass sanction and keep your economy afloat.
- 35:08You cannot fail to notice it.
- 35:09After 26 years in power, age is beginning
- 35:11to take its toll and with time the
- 35:13fatigue with you will only grow.
- 35:15We've seen intelligence reports showing you are now
- 35:18considering plans to continue the war into 2027
- 35:22and 2028.
- 35:23We also know you hope ballistic missiles will
- 35:25achieve for you what everything else has failed
- 35:27to achieve.
- 35:28You want to draw Belarus even deeper into
- 35:30this war and we are now forced to
- 35:32prepare for that as well.
- 35:33Actually it's the opposite as well.
- 35:35We see you're trying to orchestrate something around
- 35:38Transnistria.
- 35:39Also opposite.
- 35:40Your propaganda is threatened in one way or
- 35:42another every country neighboring Russia.
- 35:44Do you really want to go through all
- 35:46of this?
- 35:46The choice is war is yours now.
- 35:49Enough of war.
- 35:50Ukraine proposes to end this war.
- 35:52Must be done honestly with dignity and with
- 35:55guarantees the war will not be reignited.
- 35:58We see the United States is fully focused
- 36:00on the issue with Iran and it would
- 36:02be wrong to simply wait until war within
- 36:04Europe returns to the center of its attention.
- 36:08Fairies punch in the U.S. in the
- 36:10nose too.
- 36:11Ukraine proposes ending this war through direct engagement
- 36:14between us and you.
- 36:17I am proposing a meeting.
- 36:19Well then why make all these accusations before
- 36:21you proposed a meeting?
- 36:23Everyone heard your representative smiling say that I
- 36:26could supposedly come to Moscow.
- 36:28Why can't he come to Moscow?
- 36:30But after these 26 years there is nothing
- 36:33for a Ukrainian leader to do in your
- 36:35capital just as there is nothing for a
- 36:38leader to do in Kiev.
- 36:40There are countries that have traditionally hosted leaders
- 36:42to resolve issues of war and peace.
- 36:45Switzerland, Turkey, countries of the Arab world.
- 36:48Many are able and willing to host such
- 36:50a meeting.
- 36:51It is leaders who resolve key issues that
- 36:54has always been the case and it always
- 36:55will be.
- 36:56I propose to set a clear date for
- 36:58such a meeting.
- 36:59We've heard that you were promised in Alaska
- 37:02the resolution of certain issues concerning Ukraine in
- 37:05Europe but you can see for yourself that
- 37:09Ukrainian and European issues are not decided in
- 37:12Anchorage.
- 37:14Okay now this is globalism right here.
- 37:17Okay this is Europeans pushing back against the
- 37:20United States and many in the United States
- 37:23are jumping right back in.
- 37:25Marco Rubio key among them.
- 37:27Other agreed participant here's continuing the other agreed
- 37:31participants could join the bilateral attack to be
- 37:34established between us.
- 37:36Since the war is taking place in Europe
- 37:38and since Ukraine needs security guarantees why if
- 37:43you can defend yourself if you're so powerful
- 37:45that you can defend yourself why do you
- 37:48need a security guarantee?
- 37:49While you also seek security guarantees it would
- 37:52be logical to involve those who can generally
- 37:54serve as guarantors.
- 37:56Russia tried that already through the Minsk agreements
- 37:58and you only did them to fully rearm.
- 38:01You thought the opposite a-hole.
- 38:04We believe the United States must be part
- 38:07of the process.
- 38:08This is what could help shape a new
- 38:10security architecture for our part of the world.
- 38:14We have already experienced many agreements with Russia
- 38:16including Minsk agreements that ultimately failed.
- 38:20They failed because you and the liars from
- 38:23Germany and France never intended them to succeed
- 38:27and never in fact you were lying when
- 38:30you put them together and all you were
- 38:32doing was looking for time to stop Russia.
- 38:34That's that's a historic fact that's not opinion.
- 38:38That is why we must first find direct
- 38:40answers between us to the questions that remain
- 38:43and not hide from difficult issues behind formulas
- 38:46technical working groups or endless time in shuttle
- 38:49diplomacy.
- 38:50Your war has permanently set Ukraine and Russia
- 38:53apart.
- 38:54The front line today is the line from
- 38:56which diplomacy must begin.
- 38:58Ukraine is ready for a full cease fire
- 39:01for the duration of the negotiations.
- 39:03No he needs he needs to stop the
- 39:06blood.
- 39:07This is standard practice and current developments around
- 39:10Iran only reinforce that point.
- 39:13An attempt to establish real silence is the
- 39:15best way to begin talking to one another.
- 39:17We believe it would not simply be an
- 39:19attempt but a real cease fire if that
- 39:21is what you want.
- 39:23You know the United States has the capability
- 39:25to monitor a cease fire along the line
- 39:28where hostilities stop.
- 39:30So he's trying to invite U.S. into
- 39:32Ukraine.
- 39:33Ukraine is ready for an all for all
- 39:35exchange of prisoners of war and this could
- 39:37become a good prologue to ending the war.
- 39:40Serious steps must be taken to return civilians
- 39:43and children are taken away during the war.
- 39:46He's still on that on that kick.
- 39:48We must determine what kind of future awaits
- 39:51the generation of Ukrainians and Russians who come
- 39:54after us.
- 39:54If you do not personally come to the
- 39:56conclusion that it is time to end this
- 39:58war Ukraine will continue fighting for its existence.
- 40:01We will have those who support us.
- 40:03All they're going to be able to do
- 40:05is continue bombing Russia.
- 40:06That's it.
- 40:07Just like our war in Iran.
- 40:09All they can do.
- 40:11All they have left is drone attack.
- 40:15They don't have any.
- 40:16The people are done.
- 40:17And Putin's response to this is quite interesting.
- 40:20But you too will have to fight much
- 40:22harder for your own existence not Russia's but
- 40:25your own.
- 40:26This is not a threat from me or
- 40:27Ukraine.
- 40:28It is a fact of Russian history that
- 40:31you know well.
- 40:31When Russia grows tired change comes.
- 40:34We can work toward that fatigue.
- 40:36You can stop your war.
- 40:38Eternal memory to all those whose lives were
- 40:41taken by this war.
- 40:42Glory to Ukraine.
- 40:44OK.
- 40:44So that was the highly propagandized entire letter
- 40:50the open letter from the old Vladimir
- 40:59Zelensky.
- 41:00Now his website that this is a propaganda
- 41:03master.
- 41:03He's actually fairly good at it because now
- 41:06he has a son after the after what
- 41:08Zelensky said or Vladimir Putin said in response
- 41:12online.
- 41:13OK.
- 41:14And so that was pretty good.
- 41:15I'm going to play for you a song.
- 41:20Which one was it.
- 41:21We're going to find out.
- 41:23And then that'll be interesting for us to
- 41:25know.
- 41:26And I think it's the one that I
- 41:27have picked out.
- 41:28Yeah.
- 41:29This one's pretty cool.
- 41:30Friends and neighbors.
- 41:31And I like it.
- 41:32It's a tie you live.
- 41:35They're going to you know it's pretty cool
- 41:37song.
- 41:37And so we're going to play that funky
- 41:41music for you.
- 41:43And somebody's been messing around in the studio
- 41:46with the volume.
- 41:49They're not supposed to do that.
- 41:51And so hopefully this will come out correctly.
- 41:54And whoever's done it.
- 41:55It wasn't me Jr. But I knew how
- 41:57to fix it this time.
- 41:59So here we go.
- 42:01And there you have it.
- 42:03That was tie you by Tasso.
- 42:05And pretty good.
- 42:07Pretty pretty good stuff.
- 42:08Huh.
- 42:09Reasonable reasonably reasonably tasty song there.
- 42:14Let's see.
- 42:16We're going to talk about the response now.
- 42:19I want to give you a little bit
- 42:20more of a backdrop.
- 42:21We've listened to everything stated by the old
- 42:24green goblin regarding his attacks on which is
- 42:30really all they've had.
- 42:31All the news every day even in Russia
- 42:34Ukraine is how many missiles how many drones
- 42:38each side sent towards each other.
- 42:41OK.
- 42:41And it is in the hundreds.
- 42:44OK.
- 42:45How many gas stations they lost.
- 42:47How many substations for power have been hit.
- 42:52How many water facilities.
- 42:54There's a big dispute now between the Zaporizhia
- 42:57nuclear power plant which Ukraine keeps attacking.
- 43:00And there was a report read this is
- 43:02dangerous by the way.
- 43:03You have very serious shutdown procedures and that
- 43:07facility has to shut down this.
- 43:10That's what happened in Chernobyl.
- 43:11It didn't shut down properly and didn't cool
- 43:15properly on the way down.
- 43:16And then when when when that shutdown couldn't
- 43:20occur properly it caused a an explosion in
- 43:26the reactor core.
- 43:27And then the whole thing was was destroyed.
- 43:29There's still active radiation sites in Chernobyl today
- 43:34from 1986 or whenever it was.
- 43:37I believe it was 86.
- 43:39And so the Ukrainians are now bombing places
- 43:44against the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant which is
- 43:47the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
- 43:50And they're bombing the heads of that to
- 43:53make sure that it you know that they
- 43:56can shut it down and to cause problems.
- 43:59And the IAEA is very much against this
- 44:01and is trying to monitor is trying to
- 44:04keep that.
- 44:05And they just keep they just keep doing
- 44:06it.
- 44:07Ukrainians keep doing it and keep it on.
- 44:09They have to keep it on generator power
- 44:11for gas and then they shut down the
- 44:13gas lines.
- 44:14It's like they're intentionally trying to get this.
- 44:17They've been bombing trucks as well all through
- 44:20Crimea all through the the land bridge and
- 44:25all this.
- 44:25Remember they were initially trying to just blow
- 44:27up that bridge.
- 44:28Now they're using drones because not all the
- 44:31drones can be tracked and anywhere.
- 44:33It's now drone war is the preferred method
- 44:36of warfare.
- 44:37And that's what that's what they're doing in
- 44:39Israel.
- 44:40That's they're doing in Iran.
- 44:42That's they're doing all over Ukraine.
- 44:44It's drones.
- 44:45And think about this as I was saying
- 44:47early in the show.
- 44:48You don't need a million man army.
- 44:50You need a hundred two hundred thousand drone
- 44:52operators playing video games in their basement.
- 44:55You create a bunker with all these people
- 44:57with drones which is what the Ukrainians are
- 44:59doing and they fly them a thousand miles
- 45:02into Russia and like and they just blow
- 45:04shit up.
- 45:05And so but the losses on the ground
- 45:08continue and their losses on the ground are
- 45:10horrific.
- 45:11And Vladimir Putin's response and I'm not sure
- 45:15his but but against the backdrop of being
- 45:18bombed in St. Petersburg his house involved I
- 45:21was bombed last year when he was going
- 45:24to be there for meetings with I forget
- 45:26who.
- 45:27And then Moscow's been bombed bombed.
- 45:30They bombed it on May 9th.
- 45:31It's a big day for Russia.
- 45:33And they intentionally I think the U.S.
- 45:35kept him from staying away.
- 45:37The U.S. is coming back around and
- 45:39is going to start you know we're pumping
- 45:42more money into Ukraine because the same old
- 45:45idiots are in charge.
- 45:46I wanted to say a-holes but I'm
- 45:49trying to be a better human being with
- 45:51my swearing on the radio.
- 45:53And the the same old crap is coming
- 45:57back just like I said it would.
- 46:00Trump is not in control of this unless
- 46:02he vetoes it which he won't.
- 46:05He'll he'll sign it just like all the
- 46:07all the Israel crap that we never say
- 46:12a word about and nobody ever ever fights
- 46:15it.
- 46:15Certainly not on the national level.
- 46:17And what is your interest in Israel?
- 46:20Seriously.
- 46:20What's the interest?
- 46:22What's your interest in Ukraine?
- 46:24The hell do we care?
- 46:25Well you know and we shouldn't care.
- 46:27It's it's nonsense.
- 46:28We don't give a crap.
- 46:30That's not our fight.
- 46:32Never has been.
- 46:33And we've created as our fight because we
- 46:36wish to take over the world.
- 46:38So with those backdrops and Scott Ritter now
- 46:44with a passport with 130 countries participating in
- 46:48the most significant economic forum in the world
- 46:52which occurs you know this is this is
- 46:55the economic forum you know for people to
- 46:59get together and talk future and economics.
- 47:02I would love to go to something like
- 47:04that and I think I might at some
- 47:06point in my in my history here.
- 47:08But here came the answer and it wasn't
- 47:11really the answer to the letter because it
- 47:13wasn't it but there were specific questions afterward.
- 47:20Let's see.
- 47:21Let's see.
- 47:23Interview.
- 47:26I need to do this first.
- 47:29Especially with the work brothers.
- 47:38Let's see.
- 47:40He started out like so.
- 47:43He said, wow it's a long long introduction
- 47:51that he gave to this security conference.
- 47:54But you know what?
- 47:55It's of global importance friends and neighbors of
- 47:58a global economic importance.
- 48:01Believe it or don't believe it.
- 48:02But this is Vladimir Putin's translation and a
- 48:06pretty good translation there of.
- 48:09Good afternoon respected ladies and gentlemen respected Shavkat
- 48:14Miramonovich, respected Madam Samia Saluha Hassan, respected Mr.
- 48:20Han Jing and ladies and gentlemen.
- 48:22I'm very pleased to see the representative hall.
- 48:25Shavkat Miramonovich and I just exchanged impressions.
- 48:29He drew attention to the fact that the
- 48:30hall is completely full.
- 48:32This speaks to the interest of the St.
- 48:35Petersburg Economic Forum.
- 48:37I want to welcome all participants and guests.
- 48:40Russia and St. Petersburg are once again receiving
- 48:43leaders of major companies, businessmen and experts.
- 48:47This year from more than one hundred and
- 48:49thirty countries for the development of business contact
- 48:52contacts and the establishment of new ties.
- 48:55Our moderator has just set the bar, marked
- 48:58the theme, and I will try to speak
- 49:00on those topics.
- 49:01But before coming here, she also said that,
- 49:03in her opinion, a very good atmosphere has
- 49:06been created by those who organized this event.
- 49:09At the very beginning of my remarks, I
- 49:11want to thank everyone who organized this forum
- 49:14today.
- 49:14Thank you very much.
- 49:16The unique uniqueness and attractiveness of St. Petersburg
- 49:19Forum lies precisely in the possibility of free
- 49:23dialogue on issues that interest entrepreneurs, entire industries
- 49:27and even entire states, countries, he means.
- 49:31We are always open to those who are
- 49:32interested in working with our country, who are
- 49:35ready for equal and mutually beneficial cooperation.
- 49:39Sounds like Xi Jinping.
- 49:40He says same thing.
- 49:41We are convinced that precisely this approach, hearing
- 49:44one another, understanding the interests of each side
- 49:48and finding common solutions is a harmonious path
- 49:52of development and the opportunity to answer the
- 49:55serious challenges facing the modern world.
- 49:58We see what shocks energy markets are experiencing,
- 50:02how tension is being provoked in separate regions.
- 50:05First of all, at this moment in the
- 50:07Middle East, how the short-sighted policy of
- 50:10European bureaucracy is being carried out, accompanied by
- 50:13aggressive rhetoric and leading to the further loss
- 50:16of Europe's position in the world economy.
- 50:19Now, that says something different than the Z
- 50:21monster, doesn't it?
- 50:22This isn't in response to that letter, but
- 50:24he's read it.
- 50:25Moreover, it undermines regional and global security.
- 50:29In fact, European elites are provoking chaos into
- 50:33which they are trying to pull more and
- 50:36more countries.
- 50:38And that's true.
- 50:38They just did it in Armenia.
- 50:41These processes did not arise by themselves.
- 50:44They became the consequences of the fact that
- 50:46the world is undergoing the largest structural transformation
- 50:50in recent decades.
- 50:53This is true and important.
- 50:56Moreover, such transformation is not a transition from
- 51:01one phase of the cycle to another.
- 51:03What is happening is a change in the
- 51:06very paradigm of global development.
- 51:09Now, I want to pause here for just
- 51:11a second and look at the differences in
- 51:16speech pattern agreed in English, but in Russian,
- 51:20it's the same.
- 51:23Zelensky is a bully and an actor, and
- 51:28he's not very well spoken.
- 51:30He doesn't speak in any sort of way
- 51:34that you would expect a leader to speak.
- 51:37I shouldn't say stuff like this, but I
- 51:42think the intelligence gap between Putin and Zelensky
- 51:45is dramatic.
- 51:47And it's true between Zelensky and many, many,
- 51:51many leaders.
- 51:52That isn't a leader.
- 51:53That's an actor.
- 51:56And all he can do is parrot.
- 51:59He can't create his own stuff.
- 52:00He writes his own stuff.
- 52:04And Putin is very, very well-spoken, experienced,
- 52:08whether it's the 26 years or the KGB
- 52:10training or what.
- 52:12But he speaks like an elitist himself with
- 52:18decent language skills and decent ability to express
- 52:22himself.
- 52:23Zelensky doesn't do that.
- 52:25His letter was the tone is just completely
- 52:28crap, you know.
- 52:30And here, maybe you could argue it's the
- 52:34audience that you're talking about, and he intended
- 52:36to write a threatening letter.
- 52:37That's what that was.
- 52:39Why would you give a threatening letter and
- 52:41then invite somebody to end the war?
- 52:44As if you're coming from a point of
- 52:46view.
- 52:46Basically, he's just saying, capitulate, Putin.
- 52:49Yeah, that's real.
- 52:51That's really, it's a horrible letter when you
- 52:55look at it from the point of view
- 52:56of actually trying to accomplish what he says
- 52:59he's trying to accomplish.
- 53:01Just throwing the words, let's have a meeting
- 53:02at the end doesn't change the nature of
- 53:05what that letter is.
- 53:07It's, look, look, I can still bomb the
- 53:09crap out of you and enjoy your economic
- 53:12forum that I'm screwing with.
- 53:13That's the nature of that letter.
- 53:16So Putin can, but Putin is well-spoken
- 53:18and Putin doesn't rise to the challenge, which
- 53:22you'll see later in the responses.
- 53:26I'm going to, let's see here.
- 53:28Well, no, let's continue with his letter.
- 53:30What are his appearance?
- 53:31What existed before?
- 53:33What would I like to draw attention to
- 53:35for decades?
- 53:36This is where he's telling the history of
- 53:39the world right now.
- 53:40The decade, well, speaking currently, for decades, the
- 53:45model of global development was built around a
- 53:47limited number of financial centers, technological solutions, insurance
- 53:52and logistic hubs, rating agencies, and reserve currencies.
- 53:56Now, he named those things on purpose, okay?
- 54:00There's a specific reason he listed those.
- 54:03Such a structure was presented as universal, as
- 54:08supposedly suitable for everyone, and most importantly, as
- 54:13supposedly neutral.
- 54:15In reality, however, it was increasingly used as
- 54:20an instrument of political pressure and unfair competition
- 54:23when payments, technology, logistics, or even access to
- 54:28information can be switched off at one moment
- 54:32in order to punish someone who decided to
- 54:35act in his own national interests.
- 54:37Now, tell me that's not true, okay, of
- 54:40what he just said.
- 54:41That is, in essence, the system was a
- 54:44specially created system of dependence or of extracting
- 54:49resources.
- 54:51Tell me that's not true.
- 54:52That's absolutely true with the Western system.
- 54:56Today, the overwhelming majority of countries see this.
- 55:01Entrepreneurs, banks, industrial companies, farmers, and carriers see
- 55:06it.
- 55:07Samuel Trapp sees it.
- 55:09I added that part.
- 55:11It has become obvious that investment plans and
- 55:14steps for business and development risk can face
- 55:17a serious risk, the risk that the external
- 55:20infrastructure on which they rely can be used
- 55:24against them.
- 55:25Tell me that's not true.
- 55:27That's absolutely true.
- 55:29And therefore, states are beginning to develop their
- 55:32own technological solutions to create their own supply
- 55:37routes and their own institutions.
- 55:42Russia feels these changes in full measure.
- 55:46Pressure on our country remains, but at the
- 55:49same time, our space for maneuvering has become
- 55:52wider.
- 55:53New partnerships have appeared.
- 55:55New financial and technological solutions have appeared.
- 55:59We are mastering more promising markets.
- 56:02Thus, Russia assesses global changes not only as
- 56:06a threat, but also as a colossal opportunity.
- 56:10Now, that's positive, isn't it?
- 56:13That's positive.
- 56:15And in order to make use of them,
- 56:17we strive to act quickly and pragmatically.
- 56:20I repeat, the roots of the current turbulence
- 56:24in the world lie in the fact that
- 56:26it is moving from a vertical, hierarchical model,
- 56:30which worked in the interests of individual states,
- 56:33and moreover, a very small number of states,
- 56:37towards a more complex, distributed, and multipolar world.
- 56:43Now, think about that.
- 56:44Is that wrong?
- 56:46You might not like it, because we're the
- 56:48one that he's talking about.
- 56:50We're talking about the individual state and the
- 56:53globalist elites from Europe.
- 56:55So, continue.
- 56:57What is meant by this?
- 56:58First of all, and remember who he's speaking
- 57:01to, business owners, economists, the freaking world, us,
- 57:05right?
- 57:05First of all, the structure of growth is
- 57:08changing in favor of new centers of development,
- 57:12the countries of the global south.
- 57:14You can't deny this, by the way.
- 57:17And this, respected colleagues, you yourselves see and
- 57:21know well.
- 57:22It is not a declaration, but an objective
- 57:25reality.
- 57:27And that translation comes across, because you could
- 57:31say an objective.
- 57:32These are objective facts.
- 57:35These are not propagandistic declarations.
- 57:42This is fact, and it is fact, and
- 57:45it's immutable, this fact, and we're still choosing
- 57:48to ignore it.
- 57:50But after all, in the countries I'm speaking
- 57:53about, the population is growing, the middle class
- 57:56is forming, industries are developing, and the domestic
- 58:00markets are expanding.
- 58:02That means cities, roads, ports, energy, and digital
- 58:06networks are being built.
- 58:08Their own financial, educational, scientific, and technological centers
- 58:12are appearing.
- 58:14None of that can be denied.
- 58:16In this regard, I note that the world
- 58:18becomes more just when economic growth embraces more
- 58:22and more countries, when opportunities are received by
- 58:26billions of people who previously were on the
- 58:29periphery of the global economy.
- 58:31It is very important that the new centers
- 58:33of growth want to determine their own development
- 58:36trajectory to receive a greater share of added
- 58:39value and create their own brand standards and
- 58:42competencies.
- 58:43For example, if one looks to the dynamics
- 58:46of the global GDP over the past five
- 58:49years, almost half of its annual increase, 49
- 58:55percent, was provided by the BRICS states.
- 59:01And that is true, people.
- 59:03Whereas the contribution of the so-called group
- 59:06of seven, the seven largest economies, is 18
- 59:10percent.
- 59:12For reference, that should tell you a lot
- 59:17right there.
- 59:18If it doesn't, it should.
- 59:20For reference, I can add that with global
- 59:22economic growth in 2021 to 2025, averaging 4
- 59:27percent annually, 2 percent was provided by the
- 59:31BRICS countries and 0.8 percent by the
- 59:34countries of the group of seven.
- 59:36That's also alarming to most economists.
- 59:40At present, the share of BRICS in the
- 59:42world GDP by purchasing power parity is approximately
- 59:4740 percent, and the share of the group
- 59:50of seven is less than 29 percent.
- 59:54Therefore, the BRICS indicator overtook the seven back
- 59:57in 2020, but BRICS leadership is still increasing.
- 1:00:01According to forecasts, this ratio will continue to
- 1:00:06increase in favor of BRICS, at whose expense
- 1:00:09the question arises, what is happening?
- 1:00:13It is happening because economic growth rates in
- 1:00:17the BRICS countries are steadily growing higher.
- 1:00:21They are higher now and will grow even
- 1:00:23more high in contrast to the ones that
- 1:00:26they're comparing.
- 1:00:27The translation isn't quite right here.
- 1:00:29They are higher now and will continue to
- 1:00:31grow, and the trend will continue.
- 1:00:35If the countries of the group of seven
- 1:00:37have growth rates at best of 1.5
- 1:00:40percent per year till the end of the
- 1:00:43decade, then for BRICS, this indicator is going
- 1:00:46to exceed 4 percent on average, and that's
- 1:00:50true too.
- 1:00:51Respected ladies and gentlemen, dear friends, we did
- 1:00:54not invent these numbers, and he's right.
- 1:00:58We did not invent these numbers.
- 1:01:01This data is from the IMF, International Monetary
- 1:01:05Fund, and the World Bank.
- 1:01:07International institutions, they themselves are forced to speak
- 1:01:12about this.
- 1:01:13Of course, business is more interesting where development
- 1:01:16is more dynamic, where there is prospect for
- 1:01:19increased production and sales.
- 1:01:21Therefore, the focus of global trade, and along
- 1:01:24with it financial systems, is also shifting.
- 1:01:28It is shifting, and the trend is continuing.
- 1:01:31For many years, the main flow of goods,
- 1:01:35capital, and information passed through a small number
- 1:01:39of Western infrastructure nodes.
- 1:01:43Even when the goods went from one country
- 1:01:46in Eurasia, let's say, to another state in
- 1:01:50Eurasia, payments, logistics, insurance, arbitrations relied on institutions
- 1:01:56of third countries.
- 1:01:58This is what the fight is about.
- 1:02:00All of this, Ukraine, Iran, all of it
- 1:02:05is about this, okay?
- 1:02:08This is key.
- 1:02:11That's why the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum
- 1:02:14must be ignored, because they're speaking the truth,
- 1:02:19okay?
- 1:02:21That's where you're getting world truth.
- 1:02:24It's unfortunate, but absolutely true, okay?
- 1:02:30So, countries in Eurasia paying each other have
- 1:02:33to do so through Britain and the United
- 1:02:36States.
- 1:02:36It's been that way for years, okay?
- 1:02:39I've got to speed up or I'm never
- 1:02:40going to make it.
- 1:02:41This creates additional costs to each of these
- 1:02:45transactions and forms political dependence on the other
- 1:02:49countries.
- 1:02:50Today, international trade is becoming more efficient.
- 1:02:53Deliveries are being taken into accounts.
- 1:02:56Deliveries are increasing without unnecessary intermediaries.
- 1:03:00Settlement and national currencies are developing, and new
- 1:03:03corridors are opening.
- 1:03:05This is absolutely true, and there's no stopping
- 1:03:09it.
- 1:03:10You don't have to use the Bretton Woods
- 1:03:13structure, is what he's saying, and people are
- 1:03:16not, increasingly not.
- 1:03:19Does that mean the Bretton Woods structure, the
- 1:03:21SWIFT system, the IMF, and the World Bank
- 1:03:23are gone?
- 1:03:24No.
- 1:03:25It means people are getting alternatives, and you
- 1:03:27better start thinking about that.
- 1:03:30In Eurasia, these are the North-South Corridor,
- 1:03:33the trans-Arctic transport route, links to the
- 1:03:36Caspian Sea, Central Asia, the Black Sea, and
- 1:03:39the Far East, all of which are booming,
- 1:03:42huge, compared to us.
- 1:03:46All these projects and logistical routes are real
- 1:03:49features of today's development, importantly, future development.
- 1:03:53As an example of the fact that the
- 1:03:55global trade system is ceasing to be Western
- 1:03:59-centric, I will note the following.
- 1:04:01In 25 years, the share of BRICS in
- 1:04:05the world trade in goods has more than
- 1:04:07doubled.
- 1:04:09Last year, the countries of our association accounted
- 1:04:11for almost a quarter of world exports, and
- 1:04:16this indicator continues to grow.
- 1:04:19The internal trade turnover in BRICS is also
- 1:04:22growing.
- 1:04:23It exceeds one trillion dollars per year.
- 1:04:28A particularly significant role in these processes is
- 1:04:32being acquired by the so-called connector countries,
- 1:04:36if you may call them that.
- 1:04:37They connect markets, technology, financial flow, and business
- 1:04:41culture.
- 1:04:43Moreover, this is not only about simple transport
- 1:04:46and transportation through certain territory.
- 1:04:49Here, it is important to note the main
- 1:04:51thing, to ensure trust, logistics, settlement, legal certainty,
- 1:04:55and technological compatibility.
- 1:04:57The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is
- 1:04:59participating in the work of the panel session.
- 1:05:02I ask you once again to welcome him.
- 1:05:05He's sitting on stage.
- 1:05:06Thank you very much of Uzbekistan.
- 1:05:08And Uzbekistan was booming, and I said this
- 1:05:11when I was there.
- 1:05:13Do you know how you tell a country
- 1:05:14is growing?
- 1:05:15I swear, you walk down the street there,
- 1:05:17everybody is pushing a stroller.
- 1:05:20You tell me it's not positive when everybody's
- 1:05:23having babies.
- 1:05:24It's freaking positive.
- 1:05:25That place is growing, and there's money, and
- 1:05:28it's just crazy.
- 1:05:30And the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
- 1:05:33was at the forum, and he gave a
- 1:05:35speech too.
- 1:05:35It'd be nice to share it, but you
- 1:05:37know, you got to translate them all.
- 1:05:38It's all done in Russian, which was, you
- 1:05:40know, there's the introduction was done in English.
- 1:05:42It's pretty funny because the moderator's Indian, but
- 1:05:45everybody's wearing earpieces.
- 1:05:47You know, they had that, and the whole
- 1:05:47hall was packed.
- 1:05:49The President of Uzbekistan is leader of one
- 1:05:52of the centers of economic growth.
- 1:05:54It's true.
- 1:05:55Its population is actively growing.
- 1:05:57True.
- 1:05:57Industrial plants are being implemented, and its agricultural
- 1:06:00and energy potential and domestic markets are increasing.
- 1:06:04At the same time, Uzbekistan acts as an
- 1:06:07important connection linking Russia, Central and South Asia,
- 1:06:11China, and the Middle East.
- 1:06:13There will be more and more such examples
- 1:06:16when a country's own development is harmoniously complemented
- 1:06:21by, and uses advantage of, ties with other
- 1:06:24centers in the multipolar world.
- 1:06:27This also applies to our guest from Tanzania.
- 1:06:31Once again, Tanzania plays a similar role in
- 1:06:34East Africa.
- 1:06:35I note one important trend.
- 1:06:37The global trade architecture is moving away from
- 1:06:41the original principles of the World Trade Organization.
- 1:06:45Since the beginning of the 21st century, the
- 1:06:48number of bilateral, regional, and mega-regional agreements
- 1:06:53in the sphere of trades has increased fourfold.
- 1:06:58Now, that means four times as much is
- 1:07:01being done directly, country to country, without the
- 1:07:06West, without the dollar, is what he is
- 1:07:10saying.
- 1:07:11Why is this happening?
- 1:07:13The erosion of the World Trade Organization was
- 1:07:16launched by the very same people who created
- 1:07:19it, namely the Western states.
- 1:07:23When it was beneficial to them, they promoted
- 1:07:26the WTO and the ideas of the WTO,
- 1:07:29and invited other countries to participate in it.
- 1:07:33But when the West began to lose the
- 1:07:37competitive struggle, the general universal rules of trade
- 1:07:41that were implemented within the World Trade Organization
- 1:07:45became burdensome and uninteresting.
- 1:07:51So, unilateral restrictions and so-called sanctions were
- 1:07:56put into play.
- 1:07:57And this way, Western countries could effectively switch
- 1:08:02off the WTO mechanism and undermine trust in
- 1:08:06the institution itself.
- 1:08:08And if there is no trust, and the
- 1:08:10institution no longer works properly, then businesses and
- 1:08:14states will find another solution.
- 1:08:18And that solution is being found in the
- 1:08:21form of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.
- 1:08:25And he didn't say this part, but outside
- 1:08:28of the WTO.
- 1:08:31That's what's happening.
- 1:08:33And further, I've already spoken about sanctions and
- 1:08:37blocking, and in essence, the theft of Russia's
- 1:08:42international reserves.
- 1:08:43Do you know that Besant is talking about
- 1:08:45stealing $100 billion of Iranian money that the
- 1:08:49West has froze forever?
- 1:08:51This is exactly what they're talking about.
- 1:08:53Stealing Russian money, stealing their stuff.
- 1:08:56This is how you control them.
- 1:08:58You steal it, but you tell everybody, well,
- 1:09:01they're bad people.
- 1:09:02So we steal it.
- 1:09:04There is no process.
- 1:09:05There's no legal process to do it.
- 1:09:07But you do it anyway, like Scott Besant.
- 1:09:10If he can steal $100 billion, that's fine
- 1:09:14for him, because you don't go to jail
- 1:09:15for that.
- 1:09:16You get an award.
- 1:09:17You get an award for figuring out how
- 1:09:19to do it and not going to prison.
- 1:09:21And that's what's going on.
- 1:09:24You know, when I'm with Maduro, we got
- 1:09:27it going on.
- 1:09:28Besant's going to steal $100 billion in Iranian
- 1:09:31assets.
- 1:09:32I mean, this is the tale.
- 1:09:35You grab that tale and you yank hard
- 1:09:37just to keep them from moving forward and
- 1:09:41leaving you behind.
- 1:09:42That's what's happening.
- 1:09:44So further, I've spoken about sanctions and blocking
- 1:09:48in the theft of Russia's international reserves.
- 1:09:51This has irreversibly affected the position of world
- 1:09:55currency, the dollar, and the euro.
- 1:09:58It is simple and obvious factor, and it
- 1:10:01must be acknowledged.
- 1:10:03Now, all countries, and I want to emphasize
- 1:10:05this, all countries without exception, like Russia, can
- 1:10:10at any moment be deprived of access to
- 1:10:13their lawful assets placed in dollars or euros,
- 1:10:17as well as to Western financial and payment
- 1:10:19infrastructure.
- 1:10:21That is a harsh statement and a teardown
- 1:10:25of the United States and the world trade,
- 1:10:30well, the elites in Europe.
- 1:10:31You and I understand this is a question
- 1:10:34of unfair competition.
- 1:10:36Remember, 130 countries here.
- 1:10:39Sorry, phone ringing.
- 1:10:42But I'm not going to answer it, but
- 1:10:45I am going to send a text so
- 1:10:50he knows that I'm not ignoring him.
- 1:10:55And I didn't mean to leave that on,
- 1:10:57I usually turn it off, but I'm glad
- 1:10:59I heard it.
- 1:11:00Let's see.
- 1:11:01I'm going to send something to him really
- 1:11:04quickly, though, if and you don't mind.
- 1:11:09Call after nine.
- 1:11:12There you go.
- 1:11:12Very sorry about that interruption.
- 1:11:15You and I understand this is a question
- 1:11:16of unfair competition.
- 1:11:18The pretext may be different.
- 1:11:20They will always be found.
- 1:11:21In our case, the conflict in Ukraine, in
- 1:11:25some other case, a conflict in the Middle
- 1:11:28East, conflict in Africa, even attitudes toward the
- 1:11:32LGBT community.
- 1:11:35Please, one can find fault with anything, but
- 1:11:38at the root, nevertheless, is one in the
- 1:11:42same thing.
- 1:11:43Unfair competitive struggle.
- 1:11:45Now, that is a takedown, right?
- 1:11:48Everything.
- 1:11:49He says that everything by the way, the
- 1:11:51sad state of Western public finances also undermines
- 1:11:56any trust in the West, meaning high public
- 1:12:00debt and large budget deficits.
- 1:12:03The Eurozone's public debt in 2025 grew to
- 1:12:08eighty one point seven percent of their GDP.
- 1:12:12The worst indicators are known.
- 1:12:15Greece, one hundred and forty six percent.
- 1:12:17Italy, one hundred and thirty seven.
- 1:12:19France, one hundred and fifteen percent.
- 1:12:21Belgium, one hundred eight percent.
- 1:12:24Russia, by the way, has sixteen point four
- 1:12:27percent, although the figure does float a little.
- 1:12:31Yesterday at the meeting with heads of news
- 1:12:33agency, I said that some of our experts
- 1:12:37show a figure of fifteen point eight percent.
- 1:12:40But in any case, it is an incomparable
- 1:12:43value.
- 1:12:44The budget deficits in the European Union in
- 1:12:462025 is three point one percent of GDP.
- 1:12:50The maximum deficits are in such countries as
- 1:12:53Poland, three point seven percent.
- 1:12:55Belgium, five point two.
- 1:12:57France, five point one.
- 1:12:58United States, five point nine.
- 1:13:00In Russia, it's two point six.
- 1:13:02It may grow somewhat by the end of
- 1:13:04the year, but I think it will still
- 1:13:05be less than other industrially developed countries.
- 1:13:10Such a situation is fraught for Western currencies
- 1:13:13with a new surge of inflation.
- 1:13:15Something similar already happened in twenty twenty one
- 1:13:18and twenty two when prices in the Eurozone
- 1:13:21and the United States grew by 14 percent
- 1:13:23over two years.
- 1:13:25It's obvious that in such conditions, countries of
- 1:13:28the world are reducing assets in the West
- 1:13:30and transitioning settlements into national currency, their own
- 1:13:36money.
- 1:13:37They are making wider use.
- 1:13:39They're accumulating gold, too, by the way.
- 1:13:41They are making wider use of alternative payment
- 1:13:43systems and increasing the role of digital financial
- 1:13:46assets, including digital currencies of their central banks.
- 1:13:51Russia in trade relations with leading partners already
- 1:13:54many loses its own national currency.
- 1:13:57Thus, the share of the ruble in our
- 1:13:59expert operation today is sixty five percent or
- 1:14:03almost two thirds.
- 1:14:05I emphasize the world needs a modern, flexible,
- 1:14:08responsible financial architecture without risks, bans, barriers and
- 1:14:13with incentives for foreign and sovereign development.
- 1:14:16Its instruments must reduce cost, accelerate settlement, expand
- 1:14:20access to financing and, of course, with proper
- 1:14:23counteraction to tax evasion, fraud and money laundering.
- 1:14:27Naturally, special attention should be paid to this
- 1:14:30next.
- 1:14:31Historically, it developed that the West was regarded
- 1:14:34by other countries as a source of technological
- 1:14:37development.
- 1:14:38But here, too, we see a serious transformation
- 1:14:41is important.
- 1:14:43Over the last twenty five years, BRICS countries
- 1:14:46have substantially increased high tech export.
- 1:14:49Now they exceed one third of global supply.
- 1:14:53And this speaks to a change in technological
- 1:14:55leadership in the world.
- 1:14:58Gradually it is happening, but it is happening.
- 1:15:01Our strategic partner, China, has the most patents
- 1:15:04in the field of artificial intelligence, where, by
- 1:15:07the way, Russia has also very good prospects.
- 1:15:10Let us welcome the vice president of the
- 1:15:13People's Republic of China, who is on the
- 1:15:16stage.
- 1:15:17Our other key partner, India, is one of
- 1:15:19the leading players in the I.T. industry.
- 1:15:22It accounts for a significant share of global
- 1:15:25software market.
- 1:15:27Russia occupies high positions in the pace of
- 1:15:30introduction of digital platforms, trading marketplace, solution to
- 1:15:34the financial sphere, a field of urban services,
- 1:15:37health care and education.
- 1:15:38They improve the quality of people's lives, both
- 1:15:41in Russia and in dozens of countries around
- 1:15:43the world where they successfully compete with foreign
- 1:15:46analogs.
- 1:15:48We also lead in complex sphere is nuclear
- 1:15:50energy.
- 1:15:51More than 80 percent of nuclear power plant
- 1:15:54construction projects in the world market are being
- 1:15:59implemented with the partition participation of Rosatom, Russia's
- 1:16:04nuclear energy power company.
- 1:16:07More than 80 percent.
- 1:16:10That is a serious indicator, says Putin.
- 1:16:15We also lead in the complex sphere of
- 1:16:18nuclear energy.
- 1:16:20More than 80 percent of nuclear power plant
- 1:16:23construction projects in the world market.
- 1:16:27I just read that.
- 1:16:29I'm sorry.
- 1:16:29We've also have serious engineering and technological groundwork
- 1:16:33in managing the water energy balance, which is
- 1:16:36acquired after great importance in Asia, Africa and
- 1:16:40throughout the world.
- 1:16:41I believe colleagues participating in this panel discussion
- 1:16:44session cannot but agree with this, and they
- 1:16:47do.
- 1:16:48It is obvious the most important factor of
- 1:16:50global transformation is precisely technological processes.
- 1:16:54Experts identify three key technologies of today and
- 1:16:57tomorrow capable of changing the citizens to work
- 1:17:00in the activity of the state.
- 1:17:02What are they?
- 1:17:03Artificial intelligence, which allows processing large arrays of
- 1:17:07data and making optimal decisions in all spheres.
- 1:17:10Second, autonomous systems, which radically increase labor productivity
- 1:17:14and change the entire sectors of economy.
- 1:17:18And finally, platform solutions, which allow market participants
- 1:17:22directly in real time in automatic mode to
- 1:17:26exchange information and conclude transactions accordingly to forecasts
- 1:17:32by scientists and specialists.
- 1:17:34Those countries are groups of countries that possess
- 1:17:38a complete set of their own technology in
- 1:17:40the field of AI, autonomous systems and digital
- 1:17:44platforms will become powerful centers of sovereignty in
- 1:17:48the multipolar world.
- 1:17:51Moreover, without these technologies, real sovereignty will, in
- 1:17:55principle, be impossible.
- 1:17:58I emphasize the existence of one's own technological
- 1:18:01base is fundamentally important for countries with large
- 1:18:05populations, vast territories, distinct cultures.
- 1:18:09Such states cannot act merely as users of
- 1:18:12other people's solutions.
- 1:18:13In that case, they risk becoming objects of
- 1:18:16management by foreign platforms and how those platforms
- 1:18:20will be used.
- 1:18:23Is another question.
- 1:18:25In essence, large states, true civilizations face a
- 1:18:29question of historical choice.
- 1:18:31Either they create their own platform and technology
- 1:18:34contour, or they turn into a digital periphery.
- 1:18:38And here one should not be deceived.
- 1:18:41Foreign services may at first be convenient, but
- 1:18:46later the price of this dependence will reveal
- 1:18:48itself.
- 1:18:49Russia has already received this lesson.
- 1:18:52We saw how some software suppliers leave the
- 1:18:55market, how payments are blocked, how political interference
- 1:18:59and commercial relations occurred.
- 1:19:01Therefore, we strengthen our own critical infrastructure and
- 1:19:05cooperate, enter into a cooperation only with those
- 1:19:09partners who respect mutual obligation.
- 1:19:12Such experience tested over years has accumulated our
- 1:19:16relations with the People's Republic of China, a
- 1:19:19true strategic partner of Russia.
- 1:19:21Our economic cooperation covers practically all spheres, including
- 1:19:26high technology, transport, machine building, and, of course,
- 1:19:29energy.
- 1:19:30Dear friends, as I have said, positions in
- 1:19:33the system of world economic ties and global
- 1:19:35leadership dependent on the ability of a given
- 1:19:37country to ensure its own sovereignty.
- 1:19:40It would not be an exaggeration to say
- 1:19:42that the race for sovereignty has unfolded and
- 1:19:45is gaining momentum.
- 1:19:46This is not only about the ability to
- 1:19:49resist external pressure and defend your own national
- 1:19:52interests.
- 1:19:53It is also a question of the quality
- 1:19:54of your state, your economy, and society.
- 1:19:58Sovereignty means being stronger and, I emphasize, smarter.
- 1:20:02That means managing resources more precisely and investing
- 1:20:06more efficiently, including in technological developments.
- 1:20:10I emphasize real sovereignty requires efficiency.
- 1:20:15One cannot say we are sovereign, therefore we
- 1:20:18may do things expensive, slow, and inconveniently.
- 1:20:21On the contrary, in all areas of work,
- 1:20:23one must act as actively as possible with
- 1:20:26the greatest return.
- 1:20:27One must produce faster, ensure growth in the
- 1:20:30outcome of the state, business, and citizens.
- 1:20:33In tense and difficult conditions, Russia continues to
- 1:20:36strengthen its sovereignty, not by closing itself off
- 1:20:39but, on the contrary, by expanding its circle
- 1:20:42of partners.
- 1:20:43Yes, at present the economic dynamic is restrained.
- 1:20:47We will probably speak about this further.
- 1:20:49Here I will recall the task set before
- 1:20:52the government beginning already next year.
- 1:20:55It is necessary to return to sustainable rates
- 1:20:57of growth and the national economy.
- 1:20:59It can be done under one condition, by
- 1:21:02increasing capital investment and launching a new investment
- 1:21:06cycle.
- 1:21:07Friends and neighbors, we're not going to get
- 1:21:09to the end of Vladimir Vladimirovich.
- 1:21:11I should have read him individually and I'm
- 1:21:16going to note where we put these professional
- 1:21:21skills of increasing the pace.
- 1:21:26And because he noted some more numbers, I
- 1:21:29thought I could read it a little bit
- 1:21:31faster because of the content, but I must
- 1:21:33have opined too much.
- 1:21:36And unfortunately, I can't extend the show today.
- 1:21:39I may combine the two together for posting
- 1:21:43them on internationalflavor.com for when I get
- 1:21:47back tomorrow and we will merge the two
- 1:21:49shows together into one for you.
- 1:21:52Or I'll just call this part one of
- 1:21:54the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum analysis.
- 1:21:59But later this week we're going to get
- 1:22:03to his questions.
- 1:22:04We're going to get to Zakharova and that
- 1:22:08was an important deal when we get to
- 1:22:10her.
- 1:22:13I've got some practical answers.
- 1:22:19Let's see if we can find the Egypt
- 1:22:22question, Ukraine, peace, what prevents long-term peace.
- 1:22:28There are so many questions and I want
- 1:22:30to show the one question from the Green
- 1:22:35Goblin where he said what he was going
- 1:22:39to say, I believe.
- 1:22:41Here it is.
- 1:22:44The question.
- 1:22:45During the Spiff plenary Q&A, the moderator
- 1:22:48asked Putin about Zelensky's open letter.
- 1:22:51The letter included what I've read to you
- 1:22:54before.
- 1:22:55Putin's answer.
- 1:22:55Here's his answer.
- 1:22:57He addresses the personal insults.
- 1:23:00He says Zelensky mentions his age.
- 1:23:03Putin responds that age matters, but what matters
- 1:23:06more is capacity and the ability to work.
- 1:23:12It means you have to have the work
- 1:23:15ability and he says some older political figures
- 1:23:19are quite energetic.
- 1:23:21Then he addressed his time in power.
- 1:23:23Putin says leaders should go to elections and
- 1:23:25act within their constitution.
- 1:23:27And he said outside of the constitution, people
- 1:23:30usurp power, which is a criminal offense.
- 1:23:34And this is a direct shot at Zelensky
- 1:23:36himself being legitimate.
- 1:23:37He addresses the guarantors of this.
