- 0:01I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to
- 0:07the universe. We are here at the prescription.
- 0:12We are home. Ah, shit. Autobots, roll out! Welcome
- 0:24to the prescription. I like to get my prescription
- 0:28from Larry. Lock in. Hello, people. Hello, world.
- 0:51Welcome to State of World. This is Larry. I got
- 0:55with me, E .J. and Kay. We might be doing a little
- 1:00bit something in a little bit, but I just wanted
- 1:02to do a little, you know, news update for State
- 1:06of World. Welcome to State of World. How you
- 1:10doing, E .J.? Doing good, man. It's nice to be
- 1:13back. Yeah, and, you know... We're we're we're
- 1:25on the precipice of something because there's
- 1:27so much going on in society and The reason I
- 1:31have a on I know you guys are hearing him like
- 1:33on other shows But there was something that happened
- 1:37with him personally And it has to do with ice
- 1:41over here on the west coast. So I'll go ahead
- 1:44and let me tell the story Yeah, just thanks.
- 1:49Thanks for the introduction doc. We were talking
- 1:52a little bit pre -show and About current events
- 1:57and everything and I happened to to witness a
- 2:01like a ice abduction personally Coming home from
- 2:04like dinner. Just seeing them like four or five
- 2:07blocks from the house Like pull over a guy you
- 2:12see like all the unmarked cars all the no badges
- 2:15or anything So we we did what we could but you're
- 2:19you know, you're in that like state of shock
- 2:22in the in the moment kind of thing. But we pulled
- 2:24over, recorded it, tried to contact authorities
- 2:28or whatever you could and look into it and help
- 2:33publicly and everything. So we found out that
- 2:35they had been in the neighborhood for about a
- 2:38week. I think they had been there a day or two
- 2:40before and then a couple of days after. I just
- 2:43kind of like abducting people one, two at a time.
- 2:48And it's crazy, you know, it's one of the things
- 2:50we all kind of know what's happening, but How
- 2:53long was this recent, was it just within the
- 2:55last, how recently was this? I was trying to
- 2:57pull it up. It was within the last month. I can't
- 2:59remember exactly when it happened, but, but yeah,
- 3:04it's a, it's, it's, you know, like most things
- 3:07in real life, when you went to sit with your
- 3:08own eyes and it's in your backyard, it hits,
- 3:11it's way differently. Exactly a month ago. So
- 3:16just, can you tell us what, can you just, you
- 3:20know, I don't want you to give anybody's identities
- 3:21or locations away or anything. you know, expose
- 3:25anybody, but can you give us kind of a description
- 3:27of what you saw, what happened, just how you
- 3:30came onto the scene? Can you just kind of just
- 3:32tell us the story from the beginning? Yeah, yeah.
- 3:34So we live in a part of Seattle that's that's
- 3:38fairly heavy Latino. I got a lot of like Mexican
- 3:42stores and like pop up shops, taco stands on
- 3:44the corners of like where I am. But we were coming
- 3:49home, so off the highway, kind of taking the
- 3:51street. one of the main streets that get onto
- 3:55our street where our house is. And we saw four
- 3:59cars pulled over on the side of the road. In
- 4:02a lane on the road, there's two lanes on either
- 4:06side, and they just had four cars pulled over.
- 4:09Three of them had flashing cop cars, cop siren
- 4:12lights, but they were all inside the car. And
- 4:15then as we get closer, we slow down just to look,
- 4:18and we notice the three cars are basic. Like
- 4:22SUVs, they're not police vehicles, and they all
- 4:24are unmarked. Like the license plates are down,
- 4:27or they put like a covering over the license
- 4:29plate. Being in Seattle, like, I remember one
- 4:32of them had like a Seahawks decal over it. But
- 4:35no actual license plates. And then you look and
- 4:38you see... So there's like three police cars
- 4:41in total, so there's like six or seven dudes.
- 4:44They don't all have their face coverings up,
- 4:47but they all have like glasses on and like...
- 4:48you can see the handkerchiefs around their neck.
- 4:51So we were like, oh shit, that's ice. So we pulled
- 4:55over or we got to like the next intersection
- 4:58and did a UE or we did, we might've done three
- 5:01rights to turn around, just to circle back and
- 5:05like videotape them. And once they saw the car
- 5:08that happened to be in front of us when we did
- 5:10that was also doing the same thing. So they all
- 5:12quickly pulled their coverings up and whatever.
- 5:16Cause we were trying to stop in like the other
- 5:17lane. to tell them, like, fuck off, get out of
- 5:20here, leave them alone, kind of thing. But you
- 5:25do get a little worried, especially when shit
- 5:27happened in Minnesota, so you don't want to linger
- 5:29too long. So we pulled over the next street up
- 5:32and just recorded them from there to try to figure
- 5:36out everything that was happening. My fiance
- 5:39got out to record. I was sitting in the car to
- 5:42drive and get her if I could. So I saw them take
- 5:45the guy out of his car. It looked like he came
- 5:48willingly, but obviously like not full cooperation
- 5:51just didn't like forcefully get dragged out and
- 5:54and shit and loaded into their car And then one
- 5:58of the ice agents got in his van pulled it up
- 6:01to like where we were So I got a little spooked
- 6:03and drove off then I kind of wish in hindsight.
- 6:05I had stayed there But we're like, alright, let's
- 6:09get the fuck out of here and then ended up like
- 6:13Circling back and seeing the vehicle abandoned
- 6:16there. And then, um, the lady, the lady that
- 6:20was in front of us and a couple people like from
- 6:23the neighborhood, like came out of their, their
- 6:26houses and film too. And, um, they have like,
- 6:31uh, I think it's like a citizen set up ice assistance
- 6:34thing that came up. So one of the people knew
- 6:36that number. So we talked, we talked with that
- 6:38lady, got a little more information there and
- 6:41found out what ice does. Is assistant and not,
- 6:44was that like, What can you explain this what
- 6:46that is? It's. I I don't know exactly if it's
- 6:51part of like Seattle government, but I think
- 6:53Seattle government at least like. Help set it
- 6:56up or has their websites kind of follow you.
- 6:58To them and there they're kind of more trained
- 7:02on the. Assistance so they tried they they kind
- 7:06of know. More the ins and outs of the ice tactics
- 7:10and how to respond and document it and. Try to.
- 7:17Like help with the crisis like with the vehicle
- 7:19for example What ice does is they? They take
- 7:23it they pull it over they lock all the doors
- 7:25and take the keys with them and essentially abandon
- 7:27the vehicle So they're not only like kidnapping
- 7:29the person, but they're essentially like stealing
- 7:32your vehicle So if that happened to be that family's
- 7:35only vehicle or whatever the rest of the family
- 7:36doesn't know what happened to the husband the
- 7:39father and then also doesn't have a motor transportation
- 7:42or any way to get it, but Like one of the things
- 7:45she was trying to do is like try to open the
- 7:48doors if they're not locked see if there's any
- 7:50way in the vehicle so they could potentially
- 7:52find identification to like contact the family
- 7:55and at least help out and You know at least do
- 7:59like the civic duty of letting the people know
- 8:01instead of their stuff I'm wondering and actually
- 8:04sounds like a really nice program that they got
- 8:06going up there yeah, yeah, and I I hope it's
- 8:12helpful, but it's it's one of the things where
- 8:14it's the stuff happened so fast it was a matter
- 8:16of you know maybe 10 minutes when you're not
- 8:19expecting it and not prepared to deal with it
- 8:22so what happened with the uh driver was it in
- 8:26the news you know what their fate was and all
- 8:29this i didn't see anything in the news so that
- 8:31that was what kind of alarmed me and you know
- 8:34made made me almost have like ptsd is you find
- 8:37like there's like websites i think it's stop
- 8:39ice or whatever that has like little trackers
- 8:41and that's how i found out like It had been happening
- 8:44day over day over in our neighborhood, but we
- 8:47watched the news every morning and stuff and
- 8:49it never came up anywhere. I didn't see anything
- 8:51about it. I tweeted about it and like, couldn't
- 8:54even find anything on Twitter. Um, so I'm not
- 8:58sure if, if the media and, you know, with, with
- 9:03it all dictated by like the Trump party right
- 9:06now is putting a kibosh on it or if it's just
- 9:09kind of like out of, out of sight, out of mind,
- 9:12but. I thought it was shocking how hard it was
- 9:16to find details on anything. It is an extreme
- 9:19challenge covering this stuff because there's
- 9:22real no there's not a public information officer
- 9:25to go to even if there was who knows if they
- 9:28were healthy and you can't I mean I don't know
- 9:30if anybody's actually done a FOIA on any of these
- 9:32stuff asking for information I mean the best
- 9:35you could probably do is get local police reports
- 9:38if you were trying to do a story without you
- 9:41know, someone sending video without somebody,
- 9:44you know, without being alerted or following
- 9:46it. And I know a lot of TV reporters and a lot
- 9:50of, I know a lot of like actual mainstream people
- 9:53aren't following this stuff because it's dangerous.
- 9:56It takes a lot of time. You're also in the political
- 9:59crosswinds with people. But just you and your
- 10:04fiance just After this you saw this happen. It
- 10:08happened so fast You're talking to the assistance
- 10:11people. Just what how would you were feeling
- 10:14in the days after that? I mean It was definitely
- 10:17PTSD. I was I was like scanning every corner
- 10:21driving like just trying to be like on alert
- 10:24because it's like Especially like in your backyard
- 10:27like two three minutes from my house. It's like
- 10:29shit. They could be anywhere They could be in
- 10:31my neighborhood. They could be on my street and
- 10:35you know, just not wanting to see that again.
- 10:38So instead, but instead of, you know, blind eye
- 10:42tunnel vision, you're on high alert PTSD or you're
- 10:46wondering, could I have done more? Could I have
- 10:48interfered more or whatever? There's also the
- 10:52risk factor. I mean, there's, you know, there's
- 10:55peaceful protest. There's also, it's a crime
- 10:57to interfere with law enforcement. There's, there's,
- 11:00you know, even if it's a protesting manner, That's
- 11:04still legal. And there's consequences for that.
- 11:06And there's also been instances where, like in
- 11:09Minnesota, where you've had civilian people shot,
- 11:13you've had people shot across the country, injured,
- 11:15killed. And the circumstances don't seem, because
- 11:18ICE doesn't seem to follow any real law enforcement
- 11:21best practices or protocol. Yeah. And they're
- 11:23kind of in this gray zone because it's like,
- 11:27I can't remember if we called the police or one
- 11:29of the bystanders. But the police essentially
- 11:32are just trying to Play peacekeepers as much
- 11:35as they can be like, Hey, they're federal agents.
- 11:38So we don't have jurisdiction over them. So,
- 11:41you know, document it and, and stay safe and
- 11:45do what you can, but like, don't approach them
- 11:48because we can't really do anything if they come
- 11:50after you or assault you. Yeah. It's a completely
- 11:55different jurisdictional setup and I mean, there's
- 11:59even, I mean, I've seen police that has tried
- 12:02to help with ICE and you've actually been assisting
- 12:05in some stuff. I think it depends on also where
- 12:07you're at and just the political makeup and what
- 12:10they, how they feel about this issue. But also
- 12:12you see law enforcement or actually I've seen,
- 12:15I've seen New York police officers starting to
- 12:17arrest ICE agents. You know, I haven't actually
- 12:20seen it happen, but it's been in video, but just.
- 12:26If after your experience, what would you recommend
- 12:28to anybody who comes across something like this?
- 12:32I would recommend documenting it and trying to
- 12:36not necessarily interfere and put yourself at
- 12:40risk, but let them know you're watching, let
- 12:43them know it's going to get published and the
- 12:48community will know about it and trying to do
- 12:52the same thing like that. crisis actor or helper.
- 12:58That's probably not the best term to like, try
- 13:01to prevent them from locking the vehicle. Try
- 13:03to, try to ask them if they can leave the vehicle
- 13:06keys behind if they're abducting someone out
- 13:08of a vehicle like ISR or, you know, trying to,
- 13:13trying to get some humanity out of them. And
- 13:15in the inhumane acts where it's like, Hey, I,
- 13:19you know, I can't really stop you. I'm not going
- 13:21to physically assault you, but like, you don't
- 13:24have to be a dick and Take the keys or destroy
- 13:27property or whatever along with it and look into
- 13:31what what locally is there it's not easy to find
- 13:35but Seattle Seattle has a couple programs. I'm
- 13:39not sure if it's national or it's just regional
- 13:41but There are people that are trying to help
- 13:44triangulate and Calling like hey this this lady
- 13:49is the closest to this location. We'll send her
- 13:51out to respond Just to help where you can it's
- 13:57the problem is a lot of the onus comes on you
- 14:00to know ahead of time You know, it's not something
- 14:02you can figure out on the fly Yeah, it's you're
- 14:05gonna be unless you're media following him around
- 14:08and like, you know an Amanda Moore or some of
- 14:11the other, you know People like her that you
- 14:15know to that work and it's really hard work There's
- 14:19not a lot of even media following them. I wouldn't
- 14:22recommend civilians do any of that. It's interesting
- 14:28because I live in the Midwest, Ohio. You're up
- 14:30in the Northwest. Larry's in LA, but we've got
- 14:34nice stories just in our own backyards. They're
- 14:38a little bit different. They're a little bit
- 14:39the same. It's just amazing how this whole era
- 14:44of politics right now is just... You know, it's
- 14:48just it's scary stuff. Um, yeah, it's it's scary
- 14:51because it is it's like a private militia, you
- 14:53know Especially when you see it firsthand, you're
- 14:57just like what the fuck man. This is just like
- 14:59They don't have to answer to anyone and it's
- 15:02scary when they're on the street kidnapping people
- 15:04and stuff in plain daylight No, I really have
- 15:08I was always a fan of anti -clan laws where if
- 15:11you're gonna protest and pull like you should
- 15:13have your face out And I have the same, I believe
- 15:16the same for law enforcement. Unless you're undercover
- 15:18or there's something like that, I think you shouldn't
- 15:22be covering your face. It just, that harkens
- 15:26back to a really dark period in American history.
- 15:31And it harkens back to some God awful things
- 15:33that have happened in countries all over the
- 15:35world. And I'm just not a big fan of it. You
- 15:43live in more of a blue color neighborhood? Yeah.
- 15:48Yes. What's up, Larry? Larry, we lost you. Just
- 15:51because I know we're all big music fans here.
- 15:54Oh, can you hear me now? Yeah, I got you. Can
- 15:59you hear me? Yeah. Yeah, we got you now. You
- 16:01know, some of those that join forces are the
- 16:04same that bread crosses. That's true. That reminds
- 16:11me. A little Zach Dela Rocha. Vote for Tom Morello.
- 16:19Yeah, that's true. I like Tom. I like Tom better
- 16:21than Zach, but I'm the guitar player. That's
- 16:23for me. Tay, I got this is kind of off the board
- 16:26with this, but what kind of shape did the ice
- 16:28guys look? Because I know early on they were
- 16:31having a really kind of smash the fitness requirements.
- 16:36You know, there was a I mean, did these look
- 16:40like actual trained law enforcement types or
- 16:43did they look more like Guys that just wonder
- 16:46the psychos you meet at a bad redneck bar. What
- 16:49what was your opinion? I would say Somewhere
- 16:53in the middle like I think they all look like
- 16:56they get at least pass a fitness test But I I
- 16:59don't know that I would go as far as look like
- 17:01they were Like fully trained officer like you
- 17:04get you could tell especially like before it
- 17:07Before it really clicks that it's ice. You could
- 17:10tell like these aren't real Please saw, you know,
- 17:14so And that's not just like the physical getup.
- 17:17It's kind of the body language and everything.
- 17:20There's no professionalism to it. There's no,
- 17:24yeah. Right. That's something we've talked about
- 17:27Larry. It's a lot of guys. Yeah. Cause a lot
- 17:34of those guys, right? There, there was always
- 17:36before when you try to, I'm not going to knock
- 17:38it out myself on the mission. Let me show my,
- 17:39let me shut up. But like, Routinely, on the law
- 17:45enforcement thing, especially in federal law
- 17:47enforcement, you have to pass a background check
- 17:50before you even go to the academy. What we were
- 17:53seeing with this thing was a lot of drives to
- 17:55get people hired, even forgoing the age limit.
- 18:00Because the age limit to join law enforcement,
- 18:03if you're going to join law enforcement, is 36.
- 18:07But we saw that they forgoed all that. standards
- 18:13that they had for them because they wanted to
- 18:16drive up like people joining the forces and we
- 18:20also had you know people who who are pedophiles
- 18:24let's let's let's be straight up about it there
- 18:26were pedophiles there was sex there was sex crime
- 18:29people that were part of ice people who should
- 18:33have never been like considered for that job
- 18:35that were put on yeah on the floor a lot of people
- 18:38were given that kind of authority From what I
- 18:42could gather, when they started doing this with
- 18:46Trump, I think they were trying to lure a lot
- 18:49of local law enforcement people because they
- 18:52were offering big bonuses. They were trying to
- 18:54make this look like you can be a federal police
- 18:57officer. They're promising immunity for anything
- 19:00you do. And none of them really bought on it.
- 19:04I think it was $50 ,000. Yeah. And it's still,
- 19:11it's like, if you're a police officer in your
- 19:15community, why would you jump at something like
- 19:17that unless you don't have a choice? Um, right.
- 19:20And so you end up with people that want to be
- 19:22cops. You get up with the wannabe, you know,
- 19:24the, you remember the, uh, infamous meme from
- 19:26the 2000s, internet tough guy magazine. You end
- 19:29up with a lot of subscribers to internet tough
- 19:31guy magazine, uh, guys that are, you know, shouldn't
- 19:34be, you know, have bad tempers, but shouldn't
- 19:37be anywhere near authority. And, and, and in
- 19:39a lot of ways they've, you know, they're, you
- 19:42know, they've, you know, they want to work in
- 19:43law enforcement, even though they're kind of
- 19:45the worst criminals out there. Like you said,
- 19:47they got a lot of people with back. grounds that
- 19:49are, we should never be in near anything except
- 19:52for maybe a, you know, rehab center, but, um,
- 19:57or some mental health place. But, um, it's, it's
- 20:03just sad to see, um, one thing you mentioned
- 20:05today, I thought also is another thing that we've
- 20:08seen a lot of these is that you mentioned that
- 20:10the person who was in a vehicle that was taken,
- 20:12they were kind of, they were, how was it, how
- 20:15did they get them to stop? So we we saw them
- 20:21when they were stopped, but we kind of got we
- 20:24we saw it in action and, you know, putting the
- 20:28pieces together and and stuff. It seemed like
- 20:31what they did was, you know, one of the guys,
- 20:35because they they had the sirens probably got
- 20:37behind them, turned the lights on. And but there
- 20:39was three three vehicles all together. So once
- 20:42he actually pulled over, the other guys swooped
- 20:45around and boxed the vehicle in. So I think the
- 20:49second vehicle probably pulled in front after
- 20:52and then, you know, backed in. So it was almost
- 20:55like the car was like parallel parked. So it's
- 20:57not an easy way out. And then they surrounded
- 21:00the vehicle. So there was, I think there was
- 21:03six guys all together, three vehicles. And the
- 21:06third vehicle was like parked around the corner.
- 21:09And they have like all three guys in a circle
- 21:11around the vehicle. So the guy would hit a person
- 21:16and would have had to like five point turn to.
- 21:19Get out of there. So, you know, that's such a
- 21:22bad, that's such a bad way to try to get somebody
- 21:24out of a car. Yeah. Yeah. It looks like something
- 21:26from a, it looks like something from a eighties
- 21:29action, maybe the way. And I know what you're
- 21:31talking about. Cause I see it. And it's like,
- 21:32you're going to end up with a lot of these guys
- 21:34getting ran over and killed at some point because
- 21:36they're not following. They don't know how to
- 21:38actually behave like law enforcement. Yeah. You
- 21:41know? Yeah. And I think it's probably also like.
- 21:46That's how they're behaving. Maybe that's what
- 21:49they are. Maybe they're autonomous. Maybe they're
- 21:52autonomous. Real world, what do they call them?
- 21:55NPCs, non -playable. I don't know this stuff,
- 21:58but you know. Maybe that's going to be the new
- 22:01thing in GTA. I wonder if ISIL would be in GTA
- 22:046 now. That'd be interesting. I could see them
- 22:08doing that. Anyway, Tay, that was a great...
- 22:11I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you and your fiance
- 22:14had to deal with that, but thanks for sharing
- 22:16that story. Thanks for sticking there and documenting
- 22:18what happened. And, you know, you're, you're
- 22:21a solid American citizen, dude. And, um, you
- 22:24did great for your neighborhood and you did great
- 22:26for your country. Yeah, I appreciate that. Thank
- 22:29you. Yeah. I say, um, I brought to tell that
- 22:35story because, uh, like these kinds of things
- 22:40and taste talking about like, like, He spoke,
- 22:44like Tay has, you know, we're talking through
- 22:46it. He had the trauma from it. And, you know,
- 22:50I personally, you know, I've been affected by
- 22:52the office officers. Especially if you're a member
- 22:56of that targeted group. Uncle's was about to
- 22:58be arrested. Oh, Jesus, dude, I'm sorry. Because,
- 23:03you know, now I'm going to now I'm going to talk
- 23:05about it. Like, so when there was hot and heavy,
- 23:10like last year when they were doing those things
- 23:12and. They were set up like in front of grocery
- 23:15stores and in front of like, you know Home depots
- 23:17and Lowe's and all that stuff and Like I still
- 23:22I still have to have my head on a swivel, right?
- 23:26Because I just like on Saturday there was like
- 23:30over here on like local news. There was an arrest
- 23:32in Long Beach of from ice and if you watch the
- 23:37video They basically You guys can even like this
- 23:42on my Google The guy was riding on his e -bike,
- 23:47and then ICE ran him over and arrested him on
- 23:50the spot. But he was an American citizen, so
- 23:53what happened is the neighborhood came out to
- 23:56film, which is what you do here. They tell you
- 23:59to film and to observe, observe and report as
- 24:02much as you can. And yeah, they pretty much,
- 24:06you know the story. We thought he was not complying
- 24:10with us, so therefore that's how he got injured.
- 24:13How do you comply when you run over? That's a
- 24:17great question. I don't want to laugh, but it's
- 24:20because it's but it's it's it's absurd. So it
- 24:22sounds kind of funny, but it's just it's like
- 24:25a lot of things with the current political climate.
- 24:27It's just it seems absurd because you got to
- 24:29laugh. It's not because it's these people are
- 24:31just extremely stupid. But there's this how they
- 24:34behave. You know, this is kind of how these people
- 24:36throughout history have been. They're absurd,
- 24:39but they're also highly dangerous. So, what happened
- 24:44with this guy? Did he let him go? I believe he
- 24:50got let go, but he was still detained, which
- 24:53is what they do. But they had no reason to pull
- 24:57him over. They weren't like... Because it was
- 24:58on camera. Let me ask you guys both a question
- 25:03since you've been... He literally was just driving...
- 25:06That's my fear. That's my fear. My fear is I
- 25:10walk my dog. and like they take me and Tay knows
- 25:15how much I love my dogs. They take me, so I always
- 25:19bring like my freaking, my real ID and my passport
- 25:24when I walk my dogs. Like it's ridiculous, but
- 25:27like the fear in me is I get God and then what
- 25:31happens to my dog? Like. Yeah. Well, I mean,
- 25:35you know how law enforcement. Well, law enforcement's
- 25:37got it. Your dog's not going to act friendly
- 25:39because something's happening to you. And it
- 25:41gets to this nightmare where, you know, people
- 25:44and, you know, and the authority rules like this
- 25:46asking in a front violent manner, they're going
- 25:50to, they're going to, you know, they don't have
- 25:51any responsibility or your dog. And I mean, it's
- 25:56just insane it has come to this. And, you know,
- 26:00it was, you know, I mean, your pets aren't safe.
- 26:03I mean, there was a long time where they're,
- 26:04you know, were police officers, the first thing
- 26:07they'd do when you came on scene is they'd shoot
- 26:08your dog. You know, that wasn't everywhere, but
- 26:12it was quite prevalent. It's not as public as
- 26:18it was, but I don't know if that's because the
- 26:20story got old or because the police kind of figured
- 26:23out that, hey, everybody's got phones and you're
- 26:25shooting a golden retriever in broad daylight
- 26:27just for coming wagging its tail, then it's not
- 26:29looking good for you. It's just this is just
- 26:33compounded because now you're dealing with something.
- 26:35It's out. You know, ICE is really exciting outside
- 26:38the boundaries of the law and the Constitution.
- 26:41And I mean, I just I feel for you guys. It's
- 26:43just, you know, I I'm white, so I don't have
- 26:48to deal with that. That's that's the whole issue
- 26:50is you don't know. It's not as also a white,
- 26:54a good white man. But we're good. Let me ask
- 26:59you guys a question. This is another this is
- 27:01another. I want to ask you both this. Have you
- 27:05seen them going at all after white collar immigrants?
- 27:08Because I have not, except for maybe for teachers
- 27:12in schools or people working in like a civic
- 27:15capacity, I've not seen them going after anybody
- 27:18that works for a bigger business. I've not seen
- 27:20them going after, at a bigger business. I have
- 27:23not seen them in neighborhoods where there's
- 27:26bigger businesses, but there's a high concentration
- 27:28of immigrants working there. I have not seen
- 27:30them. I mean, it seems like the business people,
- 27:32they're fine with letting them stay around if
- 27:34it's benefiting big business. or if they're in
- 27:38a rich neighborhood, but as far as when they,
- 27:41you know, when you're in their home neighborhood
- 27:42or you're at the school, it's open season. It's
- 27:46just crazy to me, the absolute disparity and
- 27:51how this is being even, I mean, even with their
- 27:53own bogus rules, this is just, they're not even
- 27:56following their own rules, you know? I just,
- 28:00I haven't not seen anything. There's no due process
- 28:04in any of these arrests. Yeah. I mean, I'm not
- 28:06saying it should make any difference where the
- 28:08other just, yeah. But it's like to me, you know,
- 28:11I've, you know, I've, you know, we got a place
- 28:14down the road where, and it's a little ass of
- 28:16con trucking complex, 80, 90 % of the people
- 28:18are immigrants, but it's like none of the truck
- 28:20drivers are really getting busted because they
- 28:22affect big business. Because, and guess what?
- 28:25The administration loves big, because that's
- 28:27their only constituent. So you end up Where,
- 28:31if you're in that neighborhood, you're probably
- 28:33relatively safer than you would be if you're
- 28:35a legal citizen walking through your neighborhood,
- 28:38which is crazy to me. It's just their own, their
- 28:42own, they can't even, they can't even go with
- 28:44their own boundaries. Okay. Okay, Jesse. Throw
- 28:52salt and Mr. Fuji. Oh my God. This is starting
- 28:58to sound like Opie and Anthony. Yeah, I'm about
- 29:05to go into it, Jesse. Because these people, these
- 29:09American citizens, are not given any of these
- 29:13liberties that we fought for, that our forefathers
- 29:15fought for. Instead, we're all being treated
- 29:17like we're invaders, like we're second -class
- 29:20citizens. And this is why I appreciate having
- 29:23an independent party, because those in charge
- 29:26have their heads so far up their asses. They
- 29:29can't see through the leaves. But anyway, I definitely
- 29:33think that when we're talking about how these
- 29:40arrests are done, how I felt because I know I've
- 29:43had these. That was Dr. Larry. I don't have time
- 29:46to. I just want to say sorry, but I just want
- 29:49to say that was that that impersonation of Jesse
- 29:52Ventura was brought to you by Larry. I don't
- 29:55have time to bleed yacht. Yeah, yeah, um, you
- 30:03gotta chew this it'll make you a sexual tyrannosaurus.
- 30:07I don't know if you've seen the ad or not. What
- 30:11we're doing now is we forgot to add this to the
- 30:16show so I'm adding it right here in the beginning
- 30:18and you're gonna put it in the middle. But Vivek
- 30:22Rameswani had bought an ad for his opposition
- 30:25where he used his opposition's mother to do basically
- 30:30a smear campaign against her daughter. And since
- 30:33this is BJ's home state, I'll let BJ explain.
- 30:38Okay, so Vivek Ramaswamy, he's an American from
- 30:43Cincinnati. He's very much a very Trump MAGA
- 30:47guy. He's a pharmaceutical billionaire. Even
- 30:51if it's not a pharmaceutical company and some
- 30:53controversial things happen with that, he then
- 30:55started running for... office trying to get involved
- 30:59in the Trump administration. I think he was part
- 31:01of Doge for 10 seconds until Elon Musk fired
- 31:03him in 2025. He's running for governor against
- 31:08Amy Acton. She was the former Ohio Department
- 31:10of Health director during COVID. She was kind
- 31:14of a controversial factor just because her name
- 31:16was attached to COVID anyway. This was been before
- 31:21this a couple days ago There was an ad ran by
- 31:24Ramizwami's campaign where they interviewed Acton's
- 31:27estranged mom They asked her about Her relationship
- 31:32with her daughter and she called her daughter
- 31:34a liar called her daughter a bunch of names said
- 31:36she had issues She said that claims that her
- 31:39daughter had made about her living in a tent
- 31:41when she was a child and all this stuff were
- 31:44false and And just it was one of the nastiest
- 31:47political ads I've ever seen I've never seen
- 31:51somebody taking an opponent's mom and interviewing
- 31:55them and putting them in an act. The story's
- 31:58not complete with that. Acton was 12 years old
- 32:02in 1978. She had a younger brother. Her mom,
- 32:08the one in the ad, married a guy who was a pedophile
- 32:11and had criminal problems before that. And in
- 32:151978, managed to get himself arrested for sexually
- 32:19abusing Acton. And the mom, though, took the
- 32:25husband's side when they charged him. That was
- 32:27the last time Acton ever saw her mom. This was
- 32:301978. They ran to Pennsylvania so they couldn't
- 32:36serve the warrant where he lived the rest of
- 32:39his days and died. So this wasn't where he was
- 32:43acquitted. You're telling me the Republican Party
- 32:46is fighting for a pedophile? Yes. Wow. This is
- 32:50not the first time. This is not the first time.
- 32:52Wow. So I think the people didn't miss it. She
- 32:54was 12 when her mom ran with her pedophile -like
- 32:59stepfather to Pennsylvania. So that means actor
- 33:02was probably abandoned in Ohio when she was 12.
- 33:05Yes. She was living in a tent with her younger
- 33:08brother. Okay. And this is where people, because
- 33:11she's had some alcohol and she's had some other
- 33:14things, but she was also, for a period of time,
- 33:19was a hero in this state, because Ohio was one
- 33:21of the best responders to the COVID pandemic.
- 33:26We were quicker on stuff, a lot of it from acts
- 33:29and leadership, and that saved a lot of lives.
- 33:31And she was working for Mike DeWine and John
- 33:34Husted, the Lieutenant Governor, and she was
- 33:37a Democrat working in Ohio. working in an Ohio
- 33:41Working for an Ohio administration or a Republican
- 33:45administration and in the wine was a big fan
- 33:49of hers and um But she's a Democrat she ran as
- 33:54a Democrat And this is not the first time or
- 33:56amazalami has done something scummy about her
- 33:59relating to the sex assault that happened to
- 34:01her She he was doing comments several months
- 34:04ago where he said that you know her only campaign
- 34:08her only I guess what it was a qualification
- 34:12that she's aired about herself is something that
- 34:15somebody did to her when she was a kid. That
- 34:19was how he put her sexual assault. I've never
- 34:22heard, I've not heard one time Acton ever talking
- 34:25about her sexual assault. The only time she's,
- 34:28anybody's talked about any of this stuff in her
- 34:30past has been from Ramaswami's campaign, which
- 34:33is basically a bunch of psycho, groover, losers.
- 34:42So he's trying to win based off the fact that
- 34:46she was molested and yes that baseball commercial
- 34:50that he filmed where he was like Man, he's made
- 34:55even before all this. He's probably the worst
- 34:59candidate Ohio's ever had in a major election
- 35:04for like a governor Senate congressional seat.
- 35:07Well, maybe not congressional Max Miller is currently
- 35:10running for election and he beat his wife and
- 35:15assaulted his two -year -old daughter, who just
- 35:17happens to be the granddaughter and the daughter
- 35:19of Bernie Marino, who's our MAGA senator in the
- 35:22other seat. This is welcome to 25 years of Republican
- 35:28politics in Ohio, but this story is just, you
- 35:34know, there was the baseball swing thing. This
- 35:40guy's just a sleazy scumbag. He jumped into a
- 35:42pharmaceutical company and bought some, you know,
- 35:45shady products and aired him as cancer for your
- 35:48cures in a way to like pump up in a private equity
- 35:52way. And I mean, then there's the gaffes, you
- 35:56know, there's the baseball swinging ad, he shows
- 35:59up to an Ohio. This is a guy in a billionaire
- 36:01who shows up to an Ohio State game, you know,
- 36:04wearing a $20 Walmart jersey, you know, it was
- 36:10I mean, it was just people just laughed at him.
- 36:13And then it's just, but it's like, you know,
- 36:15like with a lot of these Trump guys, they have
- 36:17this whole view of things where, you know, if
- 36:21I can't win, I'm gonna burn the whole thing down.
- 36:24So you better just, you're better off if you
- 36:26just let me win. So this is his way of trying
- 36:28to poison anything that happens with Acton because
- 36:31she's been leading in the polls over the last
- 36:33month. And this is his way. It's like, okay,
- 36:38I'm gonna... You know, this is going to be almost
- 36:40like a political murder suicide where I'm going
- 36:43to, you know, you bleed worse than I do. So I'm
- 36:46going to win. You know, yeah, everybody's going
- 36:48to think I'm a scumbag, but I'm just hoping there's
- 36:50more misogynist out there that'll like what I'm
- 36:54doing and they'll vote for me over her. And that'll
- 36:57get me the win. It's the most cynical, diabolical,
- 37:02scummy thing I've ever seen in state politics.
- 37:04And I've seen quite a bit. I would imagine he's
- 37:07gotta be in trouble because like the way that
- 37:09like the underlying basics of the general election
- 37:12are, he's got, I mean like I haven't looked at
- 37:14polling for Ohio. It's, I'm very skeptical of
- 37:19polling in Ohio because Trump has been, in the
- 37:22past they've showed Trump candidates like in
- 37:25close races, but then they win by six or seven
- 37:27percent because - Right, but let's assume that
- 37:30Ohio is a plus six red state. I mean like if
- 37:33that's if it is nominally plus six plus five
- 37:36Like then and he's kind of in trouble. He might
- 37:40be like five points of the water Yeah, well,
- 37:43I've talked to I've talked to Ohio Republicans
- 37:48and they've been telling me even when the polls
- 37:50were When they had him dead of heat, I don't
- 37:54know what they were seeing in their internals
- 37:56But they were horrible because they were saying
- 37:58we're gonna get smoked and it wasn't just Well,
- 38:01it was it was get it gay it got to a point where
- 38:04Ramazwani and Houston were such a drip because
- 38:06John Houston He's a former lieutenant governor
- 38:09Running against the Senate race, but they were
- 38:12worried about them dragging them down and down
- 38:14races across in congressional seats and in state
- 38:18Senate seats and state rep seats right now is
- 38:20the act in as 78 % weight yeah, she's like and
- 38:27she's up. Let's see. Let me check So she's up
- 38:32she was she was like 51 % like two months ago,
- 38:36right and now she is like 75 so Sentiment is
- 38:41a strong it like because again like the underlying
- 38:43that's crazy. It comes down to like it reminds
- 38:46me a little bit of I was explaining to somebody
- 38:53a friend of mine who was an operative he was
- 38:56like, oh he's knocking on doors and I was like,
- 38:58dude, it's become more like It's the same thing
- 39:01here, people are pissed about their home. They're
- 39:04pissed about the law. They don't like spending
- 39:07money overseas and they feel like what's going
- 39:10on. What's going on just doesn't make any sense.
- 39:14What's funny too is in Ohio polling, it's like
- 39:18as bad as the economy and the gas prices are
- 39:21hurting him. In Trump candidates and the GOP.
- 39:25But there's also what ranks high is also concerns
- 39:28about democracy. Like the corruption issues,
- 39:31things like that, what they've seen with ICE.
- 39:33And it's not as high on the Republican side,
- 39:35but it's definitely like a top issue where like
- 39:38independents and Democrats, where it's just like,
- 39:40okay, what happened to the rule of law for people
- 39:43with cash and power? That's like a lot higher
- 39:46issue that I've seen in polls. And I'm like,
- 39:48okay, that really surprised me. Because... Trump's
- 39:52always stated that people don't give a shit if
- 39:54he steals as much money as he wants or takes
- 39:56what he wants or does, or let's Jared go around
- 39:59and, you know, consult on his own to get billions
- 40:01from, you know, from terrorist states. Um, everyone's
- 40:06cool with it, right? If the economy is good.
- 40:08I found it funny. Not the case. Yeah. Yeah. I
- 40:14found it funny when that one, there's that one
- 40:16clip of, uh, of Trump saying the blacks, the
- 40:21Latinos. They all are they all have high poverty
- 40:25levels. They're at the best poverty levels as
- 40:27possible and and You know those people that are
- 40:31paid to cheer but like they're cheering of course
- 40:33the minorities Being on up on poverty being living
- 40:37in poverty. I think that's that kind of says
- 40:39it all Yeah, I definitely think that it's important
- 40:44like you know, I mean Trump's always been a massive
- 40:47racist as you I mean he his whole Mean his whole
- 40:50opera, you know as modest operandi with his slow
- 40:53-mo operation in New York was racism, you know,
- 40:56I got like, you know, I got I got being done
- 40:58like Yeah So it is like mentioned I was like,
- 41:03oh don't look up who like who got sued for like
- 41:05that I think it is that I'm pretty sure it's
- 41:08that I got arrested This is a well -known story
- 41:14so like I mean it's not like What's going to
- 41:16be really funny is I think that, like, the zonocrats
- 41:18are going to win the house. Yeah, the apartments.
- 41:20No, they're going to win the house. They're going
- 41:22to, like, basically, they're going to get, like,
- 41:2350 or 51 in the Senate, and then veterans are
- 41:25going to flip. That's, I think, what's going
- 41:27to, like, that's because always, like, I'm at
- 41:29the point in my life where I predict maximum
- 41:31chaos, so maximum chaos is that. They win the
- 41:35house. The Senate comes down to the veterans,
- 41:38basically. And so, like, even though they should,
- 41:41they're not going to. Yeah. I'll tell you what's
- 41:46different right now is that There hasn't okay.
- 41:49So you look at all the issues you look at the
- 41:52war which nobody has any understanding for why
- 41:55we're involved with Like as far as like unless
- 41:58you're paying attention to foreign policy and
- 42:00you know stuff about Trump I mean it benefits
- 42:02Russia more than anything what we're doing. So
- 42:04that's why we're doing it. Um You look at the
- 42:06price of gas you look at all the I mean, I mean,
- 42:09there's nothing he's done. Right? It's like the
- 42:13Is in it the funny thing about the Iran war is
- 42:15that attacks everything that he ran on his president?
- 42:18And you get to that and then you get into the
- 42:21summer and it's like, okay instead of trying
- 42:24to fix that He's doubling down on the same nonsense
- 42:28Dirty part, you know, you know the key see the
- 42:30GOP doing the same stuff in other races You see
- 42:33Ken Pax and what's he doing? He's bringing Elon
- 42:34Musk in closer, you know, like that's the only
- 42:37person donating no Ken Pax in Texas, you know
- 42:41and I mean, I mean, I can't, Telerico looks pretty
- 42:45good right now, even though I guess it's still
- 42:47leaving. Um, it's, that's going to be a really
- 42:50important bellwether election. I mean, you got
- 42:52John Ossoff in Georgia, who's just absolutely
- 42:55annihilating Mike Collins. I tell you what the
- 42:59bigger concerns here too for the Republicans
- 43:01and what's good for the Democrats is That you're
- 43:05seeing a lot of new way faces and voices emerge
- 43:08on this that are powerful voices and faces like
- 43:11Telerico like all soft like um, you know, there's
- 43:15a some then there's a broad side Yeah, I'll say
- 43:20yeah like I mean he's got his background the
- 43:23way he came in and won that primary That you
- 43:26she should have been dead on the water, but he's
- 43:28a well -spoken smart very good candidate He's
- 43:33just showing me that he's just he goes and he
- 43:35speaks to people and and he just tells a story
- 43:38and it's like I mean Rogers looks like an empty
- 43:42suit next to him and And it's like okay. These
- 43:45are younger faces. These are new people. This
- 43:48is energy That's stuff that we need right now
- 43:52and you know, I'm not a huge DSA fan but yeah,
- 43:55you know, the energy is important and I think
- 43:59the thing that One thing I think that everybody
- 44:01can agree on, even most, you know, the anti -Trump
- 44:04Republicans, certainly, is that, you know, I'm
- 44:07for parties that believe in democracy. And I
- 44:09think that's, you know, we believe in rule of
- 44:12law. And there comes a time where it's like,
- 44:15okay, you know, we shouldn't be letting some
- 44:18of these business decisions happen in the White
- 44:20House. It's like this, it's not, you know, we're
- 44:23not a klepto state. We're not a banana republic.
- 44:27Yeah, I know. I mean, somebody should tell them
- 44:29that. And because it's not how we're acting.
- 44:32But it's interesting. It's stressful watching
- 44:35it. But yeah, it definitely is. And BJ, I just
- 44:44want to thank you for reminding us after we logged
- 44:46off about this one point. So yeah, thank you.
- 44:49Thank you for bringing this up, man. I really
- 44:51thought that this was really interesting to get
- 44:53onto our show. Honestly. Well, hey, well, thanks,
- 44:56guys. I'm going to get off here. Well, you've
- 45:03watched Brett every time. Oh my god. I've watched
- 45:05that too much. Hey numbers, thanks for saving
- 45:10us. Oh my god. But my experience, so I've tried
- 45:19to... Mouth cancer, esophageal cancer, maybe
- 45:25with sexual tyrannosaurus. Yeah, just ask Catherine
- 45:34Zeta -Jones and... Michael Douglas. Oh my god.
- 45:38Oh my gosh, man. He hates so much box. He loves
- 45:42so much. He loved eating box so much he was willing
- 45:44to die for it. But there's a story I heard about
- 45:49anyways. I mean, it's Catherine Zeta Jones. I
- 45:54mean, I mean, if going down and kill me, I wouldn't
- 45:57I wouldn't do it anyway. But what am I saying?
- 46:00Anyway. Hey, Arturo. Nice to talk to you. I love
- 46:05my wife. I heard about Michael and basically
- 46:14Kirk Douglas used to brag about cutting him off
- 46:17because that like helped Michael kind of like
- 46:19made him like a better person he cut him off
- 46:21into a college and I have to show you Michael
- 46:23Douglas was telling his dad that he used his
- 46:25luggage to smoke with drugs and that's how he
- 46:27put up my god You know, that's funny. I just
- 46:32heard a similar story from Dakota Johnson. I
- 46:34didn't know she was, I didn't know she was Don
- 46:37Johnson's daughter. And I guess when she was
- 46:4018, he said, he, as soon as she said she was
- 46:42going to go into acting, he looked at her and
- 46:44goes, okay, I'm cutting you off. Like I'm not
- 46:46giving you anything. And she's like, what? She
- 46:49goes, yeah, I told you, if you go get a normal
- 46:51job and you go to college, I'll pay. You can
- 46:53stay here. You live in a house. Otherwise I'm
- 46:55not giving you a shit. If you're going to go
- 46:56do me an act or go do something productive. But
- 46:59if you want to do that, if you're on your own,
- 47:00you're going to have to do it. You're going to
- 47:01figure it out. And I'm like, well, so it's by
- 47:05the way, she's, she's got like the weird, like
- 47:07the weird Hollywood family. It's not that it's
- 47:10Dawn because Melanie, I don't know if you remember
- 47:12like when we were kids, there was this movie
- 47:14about like his family lived with tigers. and
- 47:20it was like it was a documentary and it was Melanie
- 47:23Griffith's family that lived with the Tigers
- 47:24and she like got mauled at one point by the Tigers
- 47:27like they lived and they had Tigers in their
- 47:29house and like big cats. That was that was Melanie
- 47:33Griffith's family. That was Melanie Griffith
- 47:35in Roar. She was the daughter of the family in
- 47:38Roar and that's the documentary. Now I know how
- 47:41you're that's a good way for your daughter. I
- 47:43can see how she ended up in 50 Shades after all
- 47:45this shit. No, she's great. I mean like I saw
- 47:49the God I saw she's actually like really good
- 47:51at it. She's very much We kind of like I remember
- 47:59Melanie He's every millennial tastes like what
- 48:03the hell's going on with these guys. Yeah heck
- 48:05a cap and we're talking about ice and being serious
- 48:08and now Next thing, you know, Jesse the bodies
- 48:12here then Arturo Well, like let's talk about
- 48:20this then something serious, you know Because
- 48:22you know everybody like kind of comes to us talks
- 48:24about news from media rights through all that
- 48:27stuff So we'll talk to media. Why not the whole
- 48:31the whole team that brought over WWE and all
- 48:34that media stuff Netflix all got fired that Lynn
- 48:38got fired BJ what does that say to you? Um Tells
- 48:44me they're not doing a good job And their stock
- 48:48price is reflecting that interestingly enough
- 48:50It's also come out that the one of the Netflix
- 48:53people fired had literally massive problems with
- 48:56every single director there Mainly like Ben Affleck,
- 49:00you know just small names like Ben Affleck David
- 49:03Fincher Zack Snyder, you know And like basically
- 49:12they had like a big blow up because over her
- 49:14Narnia thing, which is like And like CAA basically
- 49:19like put the kibosh on her but like I do think
- 49:22that like it kind of follows a pattern of like
- 49:26Some of these content guys getting like getting
- 49:28hit on and killed and I think some of that is
- 49:31because of some of the purchase because I think
- 49:34that like and I don't think that like And I am
- 49:38including a WWE in this it's not been a great
- 49:41purchase No, it's been a what's interesting enough
- 49:44as I was reading this before I came on was that
- 49:47the two people just let go by Warner What's the
- 49:50paramount major came through? They're gonna be
- 49:52stepping right. It looks like they're gonna be
- 49:54replacing the two that were just let go by Netflix
- 49:56So out of all these changes the two they're gonna
- 49:59have the jobs of the Warner Brothers jobs There'd
- 50:02be the Warner Brothers people Kind of like how
- 50:07we said all this was best. Yeah, it's kind of
- 50:14interesting to me too. That there's kind of been
- 50:18some rumors out there about Netflix wanting to
- 50:20acquire Universal. That's the that's been kind
- 50:25of out there, but that's that's interesting to
- 50:27me. You're probably going to see a lot more of
- 50:30these kind of mega mergers. Not that there's
- 50:32a I think the trick with that. So it's. So I
- 50:37was going to say, one of the secrets for Disney
- 50:41is the parks, right? And I've talked about this
- 50:43before. Essentially having the parks with the
- 50:46IP lets you turn it into like a money factory,
- 50:51right? And I think if I'm Netflix and I'm like
- 50:54getting into the parks with the IP... Oh, wait.
- 50:55Juro, I think you were actually talking about
- 50:57this. Yeah. This is what we were talking about
- 51:02last year. Holy shit. It's ownership of the IP.
- 51:06So essentially, if they can get into a thing
- 51:09with Netflix that can provide those IPs, they
- 51:12can funnel that in and make it a whole thing.
- 51:17I think we talked about the whole thing with
- 51:20Disney and WWE. It's weird that they couldn't
- 51:22get the - Yeah, we were talking about this last
- 51:24year. Because WWE had a whole thing with Universal
- 51:26when they had the movie nights, when they were
- 51:27with NBC, right? So yeah, I wouldn't surprise
- 51:33them because they were - So I kind of suspect
- 51:38South long it's probably gonna wind up with universal
- 51:41Comcast universal and Right, that's right. Because
- 51:46it is NBC Universal, right? I'm not wrong, right?
- 51:51Yeah. Yeah, and this universally is Comcast,
- 51:55right? So Pico also I think that he might wind
- 51:57up back there and they might wind up doing like
- 51:59So the initial plan I think was NBC Universal
- 52:02merging with TNT or WB and then Apple food for
- 52:08Netflix, but they may end up doing the same thing
- 52:11They were going to do here and do it there but
- 52:13I suspect that Netflix is gonna wait until Trump
- 52:16gets trounced in the midterms because of What
- 52:19happened with the like so basically I think they're
- 52:22kind of like they're not gonna like they're not
- 52:24going to do it Until they know that the administration
- 52:28is kind of a dead -end administration. So they
- 52:30want the reporters So one of the hidden subtexts
- 52:33on this is because Trump kind of reads on that
- 52:36shit and pisses off a bunch of the media guys.
- 52:40I think they're all kind of like, one, they put
- 52:42the money down for this midterm. I think they're
- 52:44all waiting until after to kind of go in because
- 52:47what will happen is if he loses the House and
- 52:49the Senate, then essentially that's going to
- 52:52neuter his ability to kibosh something like the
- 52:55Netflix thing. So I think Netflix is kind of
- 52:57waiting until they have a clear feel before they
- 52:59do anything else. Again, this is sufficient position
- 53:03on my part, but it's not hard to like put together
- 53:05that like yeah, they still want it And again,
- 53:09I think it's the same thing like the other reason
- 53:13why that NBC Universal and like WB Merger make
- 53:18sense. It was again was the IP because if you're
- 53:20universal like NBC Universal and you own the
- 53:23universe parks and you need licenses to put on
- 53:26those parks if you actually own like the if you
- 53:31own the the warner cartoons and you know the
- 53:33dc cartoons you can just put them there and it's
- 53:35a big problem for universal coming up because
- 53:37there's a whole thing about like the characters
- 53:39they have they have some of the ips they bought
- 53:41from disney right or they bought from fox and
- 53:45from um and from some of the ips that disney
- 53:48bought basically they have the rights to the
- 53:50simpsons they have the rights to and well as
- 53:54the other the simpsons and i know uh marvel i
- 53:56have marvel island which they can't touch right
- 53:58and So effectively, they're kind of the talk
- 54:02is that they're going to have to negotiate with
- 54:04Disney because they're the Disney. They're the
- 54:06Simpsons are coming up now. Right. And they really
- 54:09don't want to like because Simpsons land in Universal
- 54:12is a huge fucking deal. So they don't want to
- 54:14get rid of it. So I think they're going to have
- 54:16to negotiate. They may lose the Marvel rights.
- 54:17And then like for them, I thought they had already
- 54:19negotiated with Warner. Am I wrong or am I talking
- 54:24about another theme park? No, because they they
- 54:27basically so They have the rights through Fox,
- 54:30than Disney bought Fox. So a lot of, I think,
- 54:33what NBC Universal was doing, they wanted the
- 54:36IPs that, like, Warner had. They wanted that.
- 54:38They wanted, like, all the Warner IPs. They wanted...
- 54:44They do have the Harry Potter IP, which was...
- 54:49Right, they have the Warner IP, which is in Harry
- 54:51Potter, which happens throughout the parts. If
- 54:53Universal, just Harry Potter was worth... The
- 54:59like Harry Potter and Bugs Bunny and like and
- 55:03like DC superheroes For the parks was worth the
- 55:07entire deal, right? This is kind of a thing like
- 55:09the media guys won't offer like no I mean like
- 55:11the IPs to put them in the in the parks the way
- 55:13those parks are set up Would have been just like
- 55:16a money driver. So I think I do think that like
- 55:19That was what they want. Right? This is why I
- 55:22think like And I think what's gonna happen is
- 55:25I think again like Netflix would probably come
- 55:27in And I think the money driver is by having
- 55:31those parts those parts of money machines. They're
- 55:33like basically like cash So you can have it like
- 55:36the whole thing around that like yours was really
- 55:38good at building out the attractions But they
- 55:40don't have the IPs Disney whereas Disney has
- 55:43the IPs, but they're not as good as these mercer
- 55:46Right. So it's like it is kind of all the interesting
- 55:48kind of thing and it's something Disney does
- 55:51a bad job But like Universal does a much better
- 55:53job. They just have shitty right all they really
- 55:56have is DreamWorks, which Tell you really love
- 56:00I'm low. Yeah, I can hear now. Hey, man Hey,
- 56:07hey, man, you know the minions I still they're
- 56:09still ahead. It's so like the millions will carry
- 56:13universal and It's funny, I know I know that
- 56:18because um, yeah, you choose your little avatar
- 56:21and on the streaming services, right? So peacock
- 56:25There's just there's very little cartoons. It's
- 56:28only like A couple of DreamWorks characters.
- 56:32I tell you what, they just, I mean, I got to
- 56:34hand it to Peacock. They just hit, I don't know
- 56:36what they did this past quarter, but the quarter
- 56:37before that, you know, Peacock hit profit for
- 56:40the first time. It seems to be - Go look at the
- 56:45park revenue with the new Harry Potter lands.
- 56:47Look at the Epic Universe, I'm pretty sure. Go
- 56:50look at like what those Harry Potter blocks are
- 56:53doing, which is like - I wonder if the rallying
- 57:00stuff's helped their appeal at all. By the way,
- 57:06did we talk about the Saudis? No, we haven't
- 57:09done that yet. We were talking ice. We mentioned
- 57:13it. We could talk about the Saudis now. You were
- 57:19ahead of this, Arturo. I think we were talking
- 57:21about this a month or two ago. Well, I mean,
- 57:23the problem right now is that essentially the
- 57:26Saudis aren't involved like you would like. The
- 57:29Iraqis well, they're actually been directly run
- 57:31directly. Yeah, like Yemen Yemen basically like
- 57:34the hoodies are Like they're very well organized
- 57:37and where you well, I quit I Mean, it doesn't
- 57:41like the Saudis and has shown her ability to
- 57:43fucking like like basically hit any place in
- 57:47style, right? Um, and as you kind of see like
- 57:50there's an expectation now and I think like it's
- 57:54gonna be like you know literal troops like they're
- 57:56awesome you know you missed our police show conversation
- 57:59Arturo but we were talking about the UFC event
- 58:02that's happening in the Middle East they haven't
- 58:06cancelled it yet they've not they have not said
- 58:07anything yet but according to everything that
- 58:11event is happening on Saturday well the problem
- 58:15is literally it is a lot of money right They're
- 58:19saying they're doing that but like I mean if
- 58:21you if you ever wanted to put a target for like
- 58:24in fact, that's right there and I mean, I don't
- 58:29want to be like, okay, so I want to be I want
- 58:31to catch us very careful, right? I am NOT advocating
- 58:34for a terrorist attack on a sporting event but
- 58:39given the story of the Saudis and how they use
- 58:41sports watching for this and the abilities that
- 58:44the hoodies have shown to Infiltrators outside
- 58:48and they have groups as they are as literal war.
- 58:51There's like a long history. It is a war so It
- 58:55would be a target of opportunity. I You know
- 58:58if I were I would be very very worried about
- 59:02going to that particular end and even more so
- 59:06for WWE I You know the Give me odds on what you
- 59:12guys think that does the WWE event happen the
- 59:15neck the one coming up. We'll talk about banging
- 59:17them But the one coming up, does it happen? I
- 59:20think so. Let me let me show you or let me read
- 59:23you the Rihad 2026 events that are currently
- 59:26on the calendar that haven't been canceled. There's
- 59:29UFC 333 this Saturday. Let's go. There's Canelo
- 59:33Alvarez versus Christian Mabili on October 31st.
- 59:38WWE Crown Jewel on November 7th. UFC Fight Night
- 59:42Adesantia versus Magna Magna Dove December 5th.
- 59:47and then wrestlemania 43 what do all those events
- 59:50have in common uh they're in the at least affiliated
- 59:58of i think i think is if the canelo fights they're
- 1:00:05all tko events It's not it's not Zufa box, but
- 1:00:18like it's Turkey. I think Whatever is one if
- 1:00:25I think they're gonna have to cancel some Connor
- 1:00:27Benz on that part like we're at the point where
- 1:00:29like the the The embassy basically pulled the
- 1:00:33personnel we pulled all our personnel from the
- 1:00:35embassy there, right? Yeah us nationals to get
- 1:00:38the fuck out of there. Yeah, and I think you
- 1:00:41can't do that Here's the other problem like okay,
- 1:00:42so let's say you're doing mania, right? I'll
- 1:00:45either that crown jewel How do you ensure that
- 1:00:48event? What is the insurance? How do you underwrite
- 1:00:52that event? Unless the Saudis are willing to
- 1:00:54write these massive checks. And the problem with
- 1:00:56this, again, we're in a hot war. We're in a hot
- 1:00:59war with an enemy that's shown our ability to
- 1:01:01target our economics. And Trump isn't really
- 1:01:05backing off from this. And really, they were
- 1:01:07starting to talk about Quienta strikes again,
- 1:01:09which again, some of that is bullshit. But I
- 1:01:14don't expect this to cool down anytime soon.
- 1:01:17Can I also take like again this entire thing
- 1:01:19the wind side of like the Iraq Iraq has been
- 1:01:21playing this because they're very much played
- 1:01:23it so they're gonna fuck with the whole mentor
- 1:01:25that kind of said it so I would expect the Escalation
- 1:01:29before the mentor motion when it's meant to move
- 1:01:31up November is in November 3rd 3rd Next week.
- 1:01:38Oh second two weeks. Yeah, so basically my way
- 1:01:42before that we might we might have a special
- 1:01:44guest song Really? Who can't say again? I'm shooting
- 1:01:51my shot here. I'm just gonna... No. I'm not gonna...
- 1:01:55But there's all this going into this. And then
- 1:02:06the escalation from the Houthis and just the
- 1:02:10surgical destruction of Saudi has been... It's
- 1:02:15an incredible thing to see, you know? You could
- 1:02:17definitely tell that Iran is playing a part in
- 1:02:21this. You can definitely see that with the strategies
- 1:02:24being used. to take down Saudi Arabia. Like the
- 1:02:29attack on the airport in Riyadh totally shutting
- 1:02:32it down. And there's all this backlash from...
- 1:02:39That I think really understood is outside of
- 1:02:43the area or in the West is how much people in
- 1:02:47the area hate the house south. I'm talking like
- 1:02:52there is deep animosity for the house of God.
- 1:02:55Oh, it's terrible how much state I mean that
- 1:02:58goes that goes back over a century just in recent
- 1:03:01Well, there's actually like the thing was that
- 1:03:03the family I'm gonna get in trouble here, but
- 1:03:05like they're essentially like a feudal fan like
- 1:03:09they're a few little Like feudal overalls and
- 1:03:11they have yes, they have a lot of slave labor
- 1:03:13kind of like we're not slave labor Let's call
- 1:03:15it indentured service coming into the country
- 1:03:17like leaving in like not quite conditions and
- 1:03:19they're like an upper class and This society,
- 1:03:22if you really take time to look at it, they're
- 1:03:25doing a lot of sports washing, it is not a very
- 1:03:31good one, right? There's some real issues with
- 1:03:34that particular country, if not Trump. Instead
- 1:03:36of fixing those issues, they want to use sports
- 1:03:39and buying media companies to make it look like
- 1:03:41they have... Do you remember the interview with...
- 1:03:44You know how they... One of the things of media,
- 1:03:47if you're like, pay attention, you know what
- 1:03:49media outside the US, you know that. Western
- 1:03:51media likes to like talk shit about China, right?
- 1:03:56And China has the problems, all countries have
- 1:03:58the problems. But China, if you look at an objective,
- 1:04:00they've raised the quality of life of their citizens
- 1:04:02in the last 40 or 50 years. Like when we talk
- 1:04:05about bringing people out of poverty, the country's
- 1:04:09done that, is China. You look at their cities,
- 1:04:12you look at how they build the structure, you
- 1:04:13look at how they improve the quality of life
- 1:04:15of their people, it is significant. This is what
- 1:04:17we see. They want to be seeing their cars, electric
- 1:04:21cars or that because like they really have like,
- 1:04:23Saudi has done that for a very small class, where
- 1:04:28there's a very stratified society. In South,
- 1:04:32right, there's like the oligarchs and like kind
- 1:04:34of like the randos, but they're like, it's a
- 1:04:36very kind of like rigid and like, top down society.
- 1:04:40And that means that like, the countries around
- 1:04:44like in Yemen, it's kind of like a really interesting
- 1:04:46category. It was the only country in the Middle
- 1:04:49East to go communist, right? And also like they're
- 1:04:53very much not I very much more like and again
- 1:04:57the hoodies aren't that the hoodies are a little
- 1:04:59bit even the fundamentals of it is more much
- 1:05:02more kind of The the economic model is very much
- 1:05:07opposed to what's obvious, right? I'm not defending
- 1:05:09them saying like there is a very kind of like
- 1:05:12clear conflict There's a lot of like the problem
- 1:05:14is gonna be like there's all these tribes go
- 1:05:15like but they are What I'm saying is right now
- 1:05:19that situation is extremely ball out, right?
- 1:05:22And I kind of feel we're looking at like WrestleMania
- 1:05:27in Las Vegas. I don't think that like they're
- 1:05:30gonna be, they're gonna try because they don't
- 1:05:32want to like give up the money they're beginning
- 1:05:35from the Saudis. But I feel like the Saudi train
- 1:05:37may be kind of like in danger for a lot of like,
- 1:05:42for TKO actually, which is kind of like the major
- 1:05:45kind of partner, which is gonna be like a really
- 1:05:47interesting knockdown effect. If that money does
- 1:05:50dry up because of, you know, force, what they
- 1:05:52call force majeure, because like war and like
- 1:05:54situation, then what that, what is that going
- 1:05:57to look like for WWE? Because again, like, you
- 1:06:00know, they have that, right? They are making,
- 1:06:03they made these bets, right? Assuming that the
- 1:06:05Saudi money was going to be available. And the
- 1:06:07Saudi money has always been kind of like a very
- 1:06:09interesting proposition. They have TKO as four,
- 1:06:13four events, at least four events. like this
- 1:06:18this quarter so that's a lot of money to lose
- 1:06:20if they can't go and and i've explained this
- 1:06:22before but like the way this works is you you
- 1:06:25have these dead targets you have to meet these
- 1:06:28dead targets there is no this is not a maybe
- 1:06:31you have to meet these there is no if ands or
- 1:06:35buts about this and you know uh it makes it like
- 1:06:41really interesting to see what what it's going
- 1:06:43to look like if those like Revenue shortfalls
- 1:06:46happen. And it's not like I don't think I mean
- 1:06:49like I mean, they're not gonna get they're not
- 1:06:52gonna recover I just I I just caught a clerical
- 1:07:01error. So I wanted to correct it So it doesn't
- 1:07:04go out on all of us the UFC this weekend's in
- 1:07:07UAE not in Saudi Arabia But there's also Because
- 1:07:18they have also done the evacuation orders for
- 1:07:21Qatar, UAE. So the area is not really safe to
- 1:07:29be in right now. But yeah, I think we hit pretty
- 1:07:34much everything I wanted to hit. But you know,
- 1:07:39this is state of world. This is something new
- 1:07:41we're trying, where we're talking about current
- 1:07:43events and events. So getting this kind of personal
- 1:07:46story from From Tay here, thank you for sharing
- 1:07:50by the way, Tay. I know that was, I feel bad
- 1:07:54that you had to witness that and go through that.
- 1:07:56But again, like what BJ said, I appreciate what
- 1:08:00you did of recording and doing what you can without,
- 1:08:03you know, putting you and your fiance in any
- 1:08:06danger. I appreciate you. I appreciate your fiance
- 1:08:09putting herself in danger by recording it. Because,
- 1:08:14you know, what happens? It doesn't matter what
- 1:08:17sex what race you are. They will come for you
- 1:08:19and Thank you for sharing with that with us Yeah,
- 1:08:24it's good. It's good to get out and get a little
- 1:08:27bit It was it's hard to hard to find like BJ
- 1:08:30said so every every little bit helps Yeah, I
- 1:08:37want to thank you for coming on I want to thank
- 1:08:39BJ for coming on Thanks, man, I'm always a great
- 1:08:44you are our news man here our journalists I was
- 1:08:52sorry. I'm actually talking to another journalist
- 1:08:55about my stuff. Sorry But yeah, thanks. Hey,
- 1:08:59just your story is really good Larry really shared
- 1:09:02was great. I You know, it's I think it's important
- 1:09:06for people to like share those stories because
- 1:09:08you guys give an example of how to handle this
- 1:09:10you also show You know, and this is something
- 1:09:13people really don't play enough acts pay attention
- 1:09:16to the news is just how this helps How this just
- 1:09:19hurts people that are just on the periphery of
- 1:09:21it or could be, you know, within it, you know,
- 1:09:25because Larry's living in that neighborhood.
- 1:09:26You're living in that neighborhood. You know,
- 1:09:31this is not just something that happens to one
- 1:09:33person and then they're deported and that's it.
- 1:09:36There's a whole, you know, people or community
- 1:09:39and and these things are a crime against community.
- 1:09:43And I think that needs to be discussed. I mean,
- 1:09:47like. I'll share a little bit. There's a story
- 1:09:55that happened on the island. I remember like
- 1:09:57on election day. So one of the things that happens
- 1:09:59on the island is the state party is being run
- 1:10:03by this. She's a resident commissioner. She's
- 1:10:07a very, she's very Trump. She's a very Trump
- 1:10:10friendly lady, right? And she talks out of her
- 1:10:13ass. Like, she basically will tell anyone you're
- 1:10:16going here. And then, like, you kind of know
- 1:10:18she's going to lick the boot. That's what she
- 1:10:20does. That's what she always does. And so one
- 1:10:23of the things that happens on the island, the
- 1:10:25state of party really has, like, a very strong
- 1:10:27support among people who live in housing projects,
- 1:10:30kind of like the immigrants, the Dominicans,
- 1:10:35the Cubans, the people who've, like, immigrated
- 1:10:37to the Puerto Rico to kind of get the assistance
- 1:10:38they need. Everyone kind of told the Dominican
- 1:10:43community in Puerto Rico that like, you know,
- 1:10:45she is with Trump. She's going to betray you,
- 1:10:48right? And like they didn't believe it. They
- 1:10:50didn't believe it. They said, oh, she's told
- 1:10:52us she's not going to do that. She's not going
- 1:10:53to do that. The moment she got elected, she gave
- 1:10:56all the lists of like, she gave her voter roll
- 1:10:58list to the twice, right? She basically just
- 1:11:02like immediately kind of like fucked them and
- 1:11:04like gave all the information to them. And she's
- 1:11:06like, she's basically like bin persona. Like
- 1:11:09she just disappeared. And she's like, it's, it's
- 1:11:12one of the very terrible and it's like the you
- 1:11:15gotta like people you gotta like vote locally
- 1:11:18and pick somebody who's kind of happy it was
- 1:11:20like the fight i had on the island it was a hard
- 1:11:22fight because it was either you know like the
- 1:11:26stater party which is going to do whatever the
- 1:11:27federal government wants or vote for the independentista
- 1:11:32the independent there was a big independent kind
- 1:11:34of like they all got together and like ran as
- 1:11:37one party and they came close. They didn't have
- 1:11:39the time, a lot of people like the other people
- 1:11:41didn't trust it, and I kept explaining to them
- 1:11:43like the way this has to work, right, at least
- 1:11:45in the Allen, is you need somebody who's going
- 1:11:47to tell the federal government to fuck off. And
- 1:11:50I was kind of explaining because like, oh no,
- 1:11:52but they're independent. So I was like, I was
- 1:11:54like, look, like in Ireland, in Scotland, in
- 1:11:57Wales, like Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales
- 1:12:00all have independence parties that like run the
- 1:12:04place and have run for like the last 20 years.
- 1:12:06And like the way it's kind of worked is essentially
- 1:12:08what happens in the central government, the federal
- 1:12:09government, like the UK, British government keeps
- 1:12:13sending them money to try to keep them kind of
- 1:12:15happy because like they know that they need to
- 1:12:17get out, so it actually like works out really
- 1:12:19well for like having somebody who will be willing
- 1:12:22to kind of like, you need to have local authority
- 1:12:25that can tell federal authority, amen, like take
- 1:12:28care of that. Like I think at the local level,
- 1:12:31like don't think elections don't matter. do pick
- 1:12:33someone who will kind of have your back, right?
- 1:12:37You may not completely go with somebody, but
- 1:12:38try to get somebody who at least respects some
- 1:12:41of your rights, right? Have an advocate, like
- 1:12:43pick somebody who's gonna advocate for you, but
- 1:12:44not for like the gun lobbies or like the rich
- 1:12:49people, right? Yeah, yeah. That's a strong point
- 1:12:56there, Arturo. And now I'm gonna do the plugs
- 1:12:59as we're gonna get out of here. I wanna say,
- 1:13:02you know, follow Tay Casey on his his Twitter
