Transcript
- 0:00What did you do last week? I don't even remember what I did yesterday,
- 0:03but the federal workers are being asked by Elon Musk Through email over the weekend.
- 0:10What did you do last week? Also, Dan Bongino gets appointed by by Trump to be
- 0:16the next deputy FBI director And then also the eagles are shunning the white
- 0:22house and refusing to go My name is brandon fogle.
- 0:26This is evolution and let's just dive into it
- 0:28we got a lot to cover today a lot happened over the weekend and i
- 0:32hope you're ready i hope you're ready because i i know i
- 0:35hope i am i know i hope i am i know
- 0:38i hope i am okay all right so let's just dive right
- 0:40into it so dan bongino if you if you're not familiar with him he is he was he
- 0:46was actually a part of the secret service in the white house and also he now
- 0:50he transitioned over to being a basically a big prime time podcaster he's just
- 0:57hitting the like the airwaves like,
- 0:59He's doing an amazing job in podcasting.
- 1:01But now he's been given the right hand by Donald Trump to serve as the FBI deputy director.
- 1:09So a position that would be underneath Kash Patel.
- 1:13But, I mean, something that's really stood out to me about these appointments
- 1:18that Donald Trump is making...
- 1:20Because in his first term, he threw out some guys out that could get stuff done.
- 1:24But these guys basically basically got clout.
- 1:27These guys are ones that are out on the airwaves and speaking their opinion.
- 1:32They're podcasters. They're Fox News hosts.
- 1:36They're guys that can actually get out there and communicate to the American
- 1:39people what they're doing. And they're not just guys that can get in there and
- 1:42get their hands dirty, but they're actually guys that can go out there and push forward the agenda.
- 1:47They're comfortable doing that, which is which is amazing. Dan Bongino
- 1:50and when he transitioned because he was it
- 1:54was like secret service he worked in the secret service for like I believe
- 1:57Obama correct fact checkers correct me
- 1:59if I'm wrong but I believe Obama and he was it worked in
- 2:02the in that arena and then he's he transitioned over to being a podcaster he
- 2:06was on Fox News for a while just a guy that was out there and when he came it
- 2:11seemed like when he first started off and maybe this hope maybe this is for
- 2:15a lot of people when they get on to doing speaking and communicating on TV and
- 2:20on radio and on the internet that he was,
- 2:23he wasn't as like just bolsterous and like, it's just like hardcore.
- 2:28And just, he didn't speak his opinion as harsh, like hardly as he does now.
- 2:32Like he, he's very clear in what he believes, very clear in what he wants to
- 2:37get done. And he doesn't shy away.
- 2:39I like, when he first started, I remember he was a little bit shy.
- 2:41It seemed like he didn't like, and I think that goes for anybody,
- 2:44but like Since then, he's got his own show.
- 2:49I don't follow too many podcasts out there on Apple, but his is one of them.
- 2:54I love his show and I love what he does. He's great at what he does.
- 2:59And actually, I wanted to switch this up because something about him,
- 3:02Tim Pool, another person that I really, really like, what he said about him,
- 3:06I hope people realize the sacrifice that Dan Bongino is making for his country
- 3:10with one of the most successful shows in podcasting.
- 3:13He's choosing service to his nation over his personal enterprise.
- 3:18America, American honor is back. So that's Dan Bongino.
- 3:23He is there. There's the guy. I mean, and him going in there,
- 3:27this is guy that's going to be cleaning house. He was a person that helped Trump.
- 3:30He was very open and pushing Trump's agenda and getting him back in the White
- 3:34House. He doesn't shy away from that.
- 3:37So him being appointed to be to go in there as the FBI direct deputy FBI director,
- 3:42he's going to actually get in there and get things done as well.
- 3:44So I'm, that's, I think that's pretty good news.
- 3:46I don't know if you're, if you're familiar with him, but he,
- 3:48I think he is a guy that he's not going to sit back and let just the FBI continue on what it's doing.
- 3:55So he's going to be another bulldog in the fight that will get things done and
- 3:59him to step away from what he has.
- 4:01He has a pretty sweet gig right now, a pretty sweet gig.
- 4:04He, as one of the top podcasts that are out there.
- 4:07I think him stepping away, that shows a lot of just honor and just,
- 4:13willingness to sacrifice for his country. So that's a pretty big deal.
- 4:18That's a pretty big thing to just step away. But I mean, that's almost what
- 4:21service to America should be.
- 4:25It's public service. It's not a place to go in and get rich and get fame doing
- 4:30so, but it's a place to go in and get things done for the American people.
- 4:34The government, it sounds so odd, but they're there to serve us.
- 4:39We shouldn't be afraid of Big Brother. They shouldn't even be big brother.
- 4:44They're there to serve us, the American people.
- 4:47You know, American people, we are not, there's one king above us.
- 4:50There is, we are all sovereigns of this nation.
- 4:54We are the ones in charge. The American people are the ones in charge and we
- 4:58are the ones that choose to who we're gonna put to kind of basically handle
- 5:03things, handle things that we know needs to get done.
- 5:06So I'm really excited about that. I think that'll be, it's an awesome appointee
- 5:10by Donald Trump. So another thing across the weekend that happened.
- 5:16Can you imagine over the weekend your boss emailing you and saying, what did you get?
- 5:21I mean, and not just your immediate supervisor, but the top guy of your company
- 5:26where you work emailing you over the weekend and saying, what did you get done last week?
- 5:32And listed out in five bulletin points and depending on your answer,
- 5:36it might determine whether you get to continue working here or not.
- 5:39That's what Elon Musk did.
- 5:41He did to the entire government. He sends out a mass email that goes to everybody's inbox.
- 5:48And there is just, through Sunday, there is widespread confusion on what's going to happen.
- 5:56Elon Musk has made it clear that this is really just to determine who is not
- 6:00doing anything at all, that they're not even going to respond to this email.
- 6:05So there is to kind of just basically weed out that, that waste immediately.
- 6:11So he's putting that out there. This is pretty controversial,
- 6:14but this is the same thing.
- 6:16This is the same Elon Musk that I remember like with Tesla.
- 6:20And when he went into Twitter, what he did, when he went into,
- 6:24when he was at Tesla, I remember years back that him emailing his people,
- 6:29his company over the weekend, basically doing the same
- 6:31thing and just it seemed like the the narrative was that he is driving his people
- 6:37too hard way too hard and so him to switch it up and like do he's basically
- 6:43doing the same thing he's not a new dog doing new tricks he's the same dog doing
- 6:47the same tricks he's getting things done he's he cares what,
- 6:51people are actually doing i've always heard about
- 6:54elon musk and if he has a meeting happening in any of
- 6:57his companies and if somebody's in there and they're not contributing and
- 7:00they're not getting anything from the meeting and it has nothing to do with
- 7:04them they're to immediately get up and get out of there so elon musk he's about
- 7:08efficiency and we know that but this is this is hard this is this is very hard
- 7:13like for me because as a federal worker because i'm trying to put myself in their.
- 7:17Shoes and their shoes and what they're feeling going through this.
- 7:20I mean, it's, I think the way that we're going is all about meritocracy.
- 7:25And if you're doing it right and you're doing what you're supposed to do and
- 7:28you're contributing and you're like, you're giving 110%, you're going to stay
- 7:32along for the ride, you know?
- 7:34But if you're not, you're going to be kind of taken away, at least from the
- 7:38positions that are going to have power and influence, power and influence.
- 7:41These aren't you aren't how maybe how much I wish that we are all given a government
- 7:46job and we all had security and everything was was great and hunky dory.
- 7:50It's not it is a privilege to work for the federal government.
- 7:54And I think a lot of people we've gotten away where it's just like you get in
- 7:58and it's just a cushy job and you're you're set for life.
- 8:01And Elon Musk is completely breaking that. And he's being bolstered by Donald Trump.
- 8:07Donald Trump is saying you're not doing enough. Be more aggressive.
- 8:11And Elon says, yes, yes, sir, Mr. President, I will do that.
- 8:15So Elon Musk is being extremely, extremely aggressive in what he's doing.
- 8:20I know it's kind of controversial in it, in the way he's going about it sometimes, but it's the same guy.
- 8:25It's the same guy who made PayPal awesome, and he's not there anymore,
- 8:30who made Tesla awesome, and it is awesome.
- 8:32It's like the best electric car
- 8:34out there, and who completely transformed Twitter and X and has made it,
- 8:39i would say even better now i
- 8:42mean at the beginning when you first took over it was not better it was
- 8:45not as great as it had previously been and i would grant that
- 8:47it but it has since then become the place
- 8:51the place everything happens on x and i think that's you can't flip a switch
- 8:57and make everything right overnight and so i think with elon musk he does things
- 9:02extremely fast But there's only so much warp speed that you can do,
- 9:08especially when you're trying to cut through red tape and bureaucracy and the American government.
- 9:13So what he's doing, I think, is extremely good, but it's tough.
- 9:18And I am trying to visualize myself if I was on the other side of the fence,
- 9:22if I was the federal worker.
- 9:25I mean, most of these, if they do get cut, they will have a good severance,
- 9:29a very good severance, like eight months severance.
- 9:31I mean, where do you get, where else do you get that?
- 9:34And to just go out there and find something else, but maybe this will light
- 9:37a fire under you that you'll go actually, that you'll go out there and,
- 9:41and a lot of them probably are doing amazing work, you know,
- 9:45but a lot, but some of them aren't.
- 9:46So it's, I think it's just cleaning out and weeding out what,
- 9:49who, who is not doing the amazing work.
- 9:52Maybe get them doing something that they would be better doing all
- 9:56right so and lastly i wanted
- 9:58to kind of talk about the eagles and
- 10:02what they did what they are saying right now
- 10:05that they are refusing to go to the white house this this
- 10:09one kind of struck a chord with me it kind of it kind
- 10:11of hurt me deeply it kind of hurt me deeply because it's
- 10:14the same thing i remember like other teams that have done in the past that
- 10:17they just want to say i'm not going to go to
- 10:20the white house because i don't like who is in the white house and this
- 10:23i i hope jalen hurts steps
- 10:27up and changes this because this this is the thing that put me on like when
- 10:32i kind of walked away from the nba when like i i used to love the golden state
- 10:37warriors and curry and and those guys and just and they were doing they were
- 10:42so awesome but they they just showed so such.
- 10:45I don't know, just distaste for our country and refusing, like,
- 10:50because if someone is in the White House, you're refusing to go.
- 10:53I don't care if they're on the other side that you don't agree with.
- 10:57If you are going to say that you're not going to go to the White House,
- 11:00that is like, that's patriotism.
- 11:02That's like, you're American.
- 11:05Because I mean, that is, to me, that is troubling. And I hope Jalen Hurts steps
- 11:10up and does not allow his team to go through this, you know,
- 11:14because he is the leader of that team.
- 11:16You know, we are all Americans. So it's like we can get on board together and
- 11:20we can support our nation.
- 11:21It's the same thing as kneeling for the national anthem.
- 11:25It's disgusting. It's disgusting. So I hope that the Eagles do something and
- 11:31get this fixed and do not go forward with not going to the White House and just
- 11:38shunning the White House.
- 11:40And because somebody I don't like that's in there, I'm going to bow the knee
- 11:44to the public opinion of the people that are close-knit to me.
- 11:48Instead of just stepping up, you know, if they're on the other side, do the same thing.
- 11:53It's like, it's troubling to me, and I hope Jalen Hurts, because he is the one
- 11:57I would call out for this.
- 11:58He is the one, I actually, I like Jalen Hurts a lot, and the team is awesome,
- 12:04and he makes the team run and perform amazingly, and I'm sad to say that because I am a huge Chiefs fan,
- 12:10but he, he, they were the better team, but let's see if you have better character
- 12:15or if you have even equivalent character to Patrick Mahomes and the chiefs,
- 12:20because the chiefs would not have like said,
- 12:22depending, I'm not going to go to the white house. If we would have won,
- 12:24the chiefs would not have done that.
- 12:26They would not have done that. I don't think, but so I hope that I hope Jalen hurts.
- 12:30It takes what he, his leadership role seriously and turns this around and says,
- 12:36no, we're going to be good American citizens and support our country and do
- 12:40what's right and go to the White House.
- 12:42So, all right, we'll leave it at that. Peace.
