  because I've always tried to restrict myself to one episode

  per week to give everybody an opportunity to sort of catch up,

  right? But now I'm reading that now

  that podcasts have exploded, that it's a good thing for
• 0:25
  people to listen to more stuff that they like, which makes
• 0:28
  sense. I mean, if you have a nice
• 0:31
  restaurant that you go to, you don't just go once a year,
• 0:34
  right? Or once a month, you go often.
• 0:37
  Anyway, welcome to another edition of the Urantia Radio

  podcast where we talk about the fifth epical Revelation.

  Because we love it and we love everything about it.

  And I know I do. I've been a faithful and reader
• 0:52
  for 40 years and I every time I pick it up, I, I don't know why
• 0:54
  I don't just spend all my time reading the book.
• 0:57
  It never ceases to amaze me. And I tell you what also doesn't
• 1:01
  cease to amaze me and what's going on right now with the
• 1:03
  transformative. I mean, I don't even understand
• 1:06
  the significance of it. I suppose maybe I'm just so
• 1:10
  burnt out on all the bad news. But what, what, what has
• 1:13
  transpired here in the last few days with the peace accord
• 1:18
  underway? It's it's very brittle and it
• 1:23
  could break apart. But for right now, the amazing
• 1:26
  response to it is is so profound.
• 1:29
  In fact, I want to play for you some music.
• 1:31
  I will when we when we reintroduce the segment here in
• 1:35
  a minute. But the amount of people that,
• 1:38
  particularly in Israel, Jerusalem, the unity between the
• 1:44
  West and, and the happiness that everybody is expressing over
• 1:49
  this wonderful event where people have actually were
• 1:53
  watching what has been a conflict zone for, for as long
• 1:56
  as people can remember. And at least at this particular
• 2:00
  moment, everybody is laying down their weapons and there's,
• 2:05
  there's, there's a, a wind of peace blowing through the
• 2:10
  biblical lands. And it's having a transformative
• 2:13
  effect here in this country too, in the, in the West.
• 2:17
  I don't know how people are reacting in the in places like
• 2:21
  Germany or France, they've got their own set of problems, I
• 2:24
  suppose. But as far as I'm concerned,
• 2:27
  what we're seeing is a transformative event because
• 2:32
  frankly, up until this point, I I've been reserving a lot of
• 2:35
  pessimism and I think you probably have too.
• 2:38
  So we'll get to what this subject is about, which is how
• 2:42
  much does do our angels help us? And this is what it's gotten me
• 2:46
  to think. And I and I want to tie the 2
• 2:48
  events together and we're going to study a little bit of, of
• 2:51
  paper 114 where it talks about the Seraphic planetary
• 2:55
  government. What do angels do you ever
• 2:58
  wondered that? Like it's a, it's a legitimate
• 3:01
  question if you believe in angels and 95% of us believe in
• 3:05
  angels. Many people who are atheists
• 3:08
  believe in angels. I know a lot of my atheist
• 3:10
  friends who actually they still believe in in their Angel when
• 3:14
  something happens good to them, they say, oh, I guess my
• 3:17
  guardian Angel was watching me. But you know, there is a role
• 3:22
  that they play in the background that we don't see, but we're
• 3:25
  seeing it now. This is what I think that they
• 3:28
  do. I think this is what they do.
• 3:30
  What you're seeing right now happening.
• 3:32
  How many times in the last, I don't know, three or four years
• 3:36
  have we felt personally, each one of us have we felt that
• 3:41
  things were just going to get so bad that there was no hope.
• 3:45
  And this is, of course, has exacerbated all of the social
• 3:48
  ills that we hear about all the time, the rampant drug use, the
• 3:52
  homelessness, the violence, the craziness, all of that negative.
• 3:56
  And it's, it's real. And after a while it starts to
• 3:59
  wear you down. I know it's worn me down quite a
• 4:02
  bit, if not for my faith. So we'll talk about that.
• 4:07
  What are the angels doing? That's the topic and we'll get

  to it. I also want to encourage people

  was signed in Egypt, putting an end to the conflict between

  deserve better in that region. There's no question about that.

  Well, on the human level, we've got kind of a cool thing going

  on, not only to celebrate 100 years of the revelation, but

  also experts from all fields, whether it's astronomy, physics.

  experts, some of them that have been on this program, that have

  And here's specifically in Paper 114, I want to get to how they

  describe their efforts and how they accomplish the task of
• 10:41
  harmonizing the efforts of human beings.

  And they say very specifically that they do not abrogate the
• 10:47
  human will, that the human will must be already in favor of
• 10:52
  ideas, of social cooperation. It's not something that's
• 10:56
  introduced into them. So it writes in Paper 114,

  Section 6, The 12 group of angels, while functioning under
• 11:05
  the general supervision of the resident Governor General, are
• 11:08
  immediately directed by the Seraphic, the council of 12, the
• 11:13
  acting chiefs of each group. This council also serves as the
• 11:17
  volunteer cabinet of the Resident Governor General.

  As Planetary Chiefs of Seraphim, I preside over this Council of
• 11:27
  Seraph Seraphic Chiefs and I am a volunteer Supernatum of the
• 11:31
  Primary Order serving on Urantia as the successor of the one time
• 11:36
  Chief of the Angelic Host of the Planet Went who defaulted at the
• 11:42
  time of the Calagasia secession. So this person who wrote this
• 11:46
  particular paper is a chief of of his group of angels and he
• 11:53
  himself is a supernatum, which means he is a high order who was
• 11:58
  probably sent here to take over for the person who he succeeded,
• 12:04
  who had defaulted with Calagasia, one of the fallen
• 12:07
  angels. So this particular Angel says

  the 12 core of the Master Seraphim of planetary
• 12:14
  supervision are functional on Urantia as follows #1 the epical
• 12:19
  angels. These are the angels of the
• 12:21
  current age, the dispensational group.

  These celestial ministers are entrusted with the oversight and
• 12:27
  direction of the affairs of each generation as they are designed
• 12:32
  to fit into the mosaic of the age in which they occur.

  The present corps of epical angels serving on Urantia is the
• 12:40
  third group assigned to the planet during the current
• 12:44
  dispensation #2 another set of angels, the Progress Angels.
• 12:50
  These seraphim are entrusted with the task of initiating the
• 12:54
  evolutionary progress of the successful social ages.
• 12:58
  They foster the development of inherent progressive trend of
• 13:03
  evolutionary creatures. They labor incessantly to make
• 13:06
  things what they ought to be. The group now on duty is the
• 13:10
  second to be assigned to this planet.

  Now, it's this particular group that has grabbed my attention
• 13:17
  for obvious reasons. Amidst all the strife and all of
• 13:20
  the war and all of the tension between governments and the
• 13:22
  fighting and the bloodshed, and yet somehow something, some
• 13:28
  spirit of cooperation was able to emerge.

  And, and if this becomes stable and it, it, it remains ever so
• 13:40
  this what we've seen in the Middle East specifically, then
• 13:44
  that's progress. There's a right thing.

  What's a They're incessantly trying to make things as they
• 13:51
  ought to be and their modem, their modus operandi, which I
• 13:56
  think it says in this section is it's always everything is in
• 14:01
  mind based on serving the greatest number of people for
• 14:05
  the greatest amount of time. What works in the best interest
• 14:09
  of the greatest number of people for the greatest number of time.

  That's that's the basis of God's will #3 the religious guardians.

  These are the angels of the churches, the earnest contenders
• 14:25
  for that which is and has been the preservation of culture.

  That's what I say. They endeavor to maintain the
• 14:32
  ideals of that which has survived for the sake of the
• 14:35
  safe transit of moral values from one epic to another.

  Now, if you saw any of the speeches, a lot of conversation
• 14:43
  was going on with the Prime Minister of Israel about Jacob
• 14:46
  and Abraham. And you know, you think those
• 14:49
  things have been preserved not only in the Old Testament, but
• 14:53
  in the New Testament in Christian culture.
• 14:56
  So the religious guardians, these are the ones that have
• 14:58
  prompted the preservation of maintaining all of these great
• 15:03
  truths of the past. The moral values that we pass on
• 15:06
  from one generation to another. They're just not a genetically
• 15:09
  inherited. This is something that is taught
• 15:12
  to each generation. And it is the angels of the
• 15:15
  churches who minister to this effort.

  However they how it, however it is that they accomplish their
• 15:22
  task. It says that they are the
• 15:25
  checkmates of the angels of progress, all the while seeking
• 15:29
  to translate from one generation to another the imperishable
• 15:33
  values of the old and passing forms into the new and therefore
• 15:38
  less stabilized patterns of thought and conduct.

  These angels do contend for spiritual forms, but they are
• 15:46
  not the source of ultra sectarianism and meaningless
• 15:51
  controversial division a professed religionists.

  The core now functioning on Urantia is the 5th to serve the

  angels of nation life. This is the fourth group.

  They are the angels of the trumpets.

  That's a quotation I assume in in reference to the passage in

  Revelations. They are the directors of the

  political performances of Urantia national life.

  The group now functioning on the in the over control of

  international relations is the 4th core to serve on the planet.

  It is particularly through the ministry of this Seraphim

  division. The most highs rule in the

  kingdoms of men. So what we've seen perhaps

  recently is perhaps in large part to this particular group,

  the angels of nation life, the angels of the trumpets, the

  angels of the races, those who work for the conservation of the

  evolutionary races of time, regardless of their political

  entanglements and religious groupings.

  Perhaps they are working with this Africa urantiothon that's

  going on. Here's a fine example.

  modern humans. These are the Seraphim that are

  closely associated with the Ministry of the Race

  Commissioners and the group now on your ranches.

  The original core assigned to the planet soon after the Day of

  Pentecost, The angels of the future.

  These are the projection angels who forecast a future age and

  plan for the realization of better things, of a new and

  advancing dispensation. They are the architects of the

  successive eras. The group now on the planet has

  thus functioned since the beginning of the current

  dispensation, The Angels of the Enlightenment.

  Urantia is now receiving the help of the third core of

  Seraphim, dedicated to the fostering of planetary

  education. These angels are occupied with

  mental and moral training as it concerns individuals, families,

  groups, schools, communities, nations and whole races.

  So you you figure that maybe in some quarters of the world and

  others, they are assisting those who set up schools.

  I know some friends actually, we hope to hear from April Hallen,

  who even at this moment is over representing the the Urantia
• 19:08
  community in her work with these schools in Africa.

  And so can we assume that the angels are helping her, making
• 19:18
  sure she gets there safely, things like that?

  It's possible. This one came to my mind when we

  were going through COVID and we first thought that this was a
• 19:28
  naturally occurring not until later we learned that it was
• 19:32
  human beings playing around with things they shouldn't be playing
• 19:35
  with. But the angels of health, these
• 19:37
  are the seraph, seraphic ministers assigned to the
• 19:40
  assistance of those mortal agencies dedicated to the
• 19:44
  promotion of health and the prevention of disease.

  This present corps, by the way, it is not obvious.

  It's the unseen presence of these agencies.

  You know, when you thought about when when they were coming up

  with a, a cure for COVID, there was, regardless of what the

  outcome and how it all began, there was a cooperative effort

  of scientists around the world who worked very tirelessly to

  try to come up with something in in case this thing got out of
• 20:15
  control. So are we to assume then that

  the angels of health help them in their efforts, coordinating
• 20:22
  them, sort of nudging them in a certain direction so they notice
• 20:26
  a certain element that could be used to come up with a cure?

  It's possible. The home Seraphim, your auntie
• 20:34
  now enjoys the service of the fifth group of angelic ministers
• 20:38
  dedicated to the preservation and the advancement of the home.

  The basic institution of human civilization.
• 20:45
  Boy, do we need these, these seraphim.

  Big problems with homes in the Western culture, No question we
• 20:53
  need help. For some reason, our
• 20:56
  governments, our culture seems to diminish the home.

  And it's such an important, it's the most important institution
• 21:05
  of human civilization. So we need these seraphim to
• 21:08
  help preserve the idea of home being the basic institution of
• 21:13
  human civilization. There's the Angel of industry,
• 21:16
  the seraphic group concerned with fostering industrial
• 21:20
  development and improving economic conditions among the
• 21:23
  ranch of peoples. This, this core has been 7 times
• 21:28
  changed since the bestowal of Michael.

  That's that's a lot. It's it's almost an average of
• 21:33
  every three years, every 30 years, No, 300 years.

  The angels of diversion. These are the Seraphim who
• 21:41
  foster the values of play, humor and rest.

  They ever seek to uplift, uplift man's recreational diversions
• 21:49
  and thus to promote the most profitable utilization of human
• 21:53
  leisure. The present corps is the third
• 21:57
  of their order to minister on Urantia.

  Maybe they were helpful in preserving the idea of the
• 22:02
  Olympiads, preserving the Olympics.

  Maybe that's part of their, maybe that was something they
• 22:09
  had their hand in. And then finally, they're the
• 22:11
  angels of the Superhuman ministry.

  These are the angels of the angels, those Seraphim who are
• 22:17
  assigned to the ministry of all other superhuman life on the
• 22:20
  planet, temporary or permanent. This corps has served since the
• 22:25
  beginning of the current dispensation.

  Interesting 11 group. And then I'll conclude with
• 22:32
  this, with these groups of master Seraphim disagree in
• 22:36
  matters of planetary policy or procedure.

  Their differences are usually composed by the Governor

  General, but all his rulings are subject to appeal in accordance

  with the nature and gravity of the issues involved in the
• 22:50
  disagreement. None of these angelic groups

  exercise direct or arbitrary control over the domains of
• 22:57
  their assignment. They cannot fully control the
• 22:59
  affairs of their respective realms of action, but they can

  and do so manipulate planetary conditions and so associate
• 23:08
  circumstances as favorably to influence the spheres of human
• 23:13
  activity to which they are attached.

  That probably is the most important statement of how they
• 23:19
  function among us. I'll read it again.

  They cannot fully control the affairs of their respective
• 23:25
  realms, meaning the material conditions, but they can and
• 23:31
  they do manipulate planetary conditions, the environment, the
• 23:36
  flow perhaps, and so associate circumstances as favorably to
• 23:41
  influence the sphere of human activity.

  So I'll leave that to you to ponder, because that's a very
• 23:48
  important caveat to all this. What do they do?

  How do they do it? How do they affect us?
• 23:53
  How do they influence us? And how do they work with nature
• 23:56
  and environment? They can't abrogate the natural
• 23:59
  order, but they can control it or influence it in such a way
• 24:04
  for a specific outcome that they have in mind.

  Bringing two people together that together collectively might
• 24:12
  potentially come up with an answer or a solution to improve
• 24:16
  the conditions of that particular subject or effort
• 24:20
  that's going on. The hopefully the sponsoring of
• 24:24
  the end of wars or the ideas of a 20 step peace treaty in
• 24:29
  Jerusalem. And, and what else might
• 24:31
  possibly enter the mind of our world leaders who even now in in
• 24:35
  parts of Europe are fomenting at the idea of taking down Russia
• 24:42
  or China's idea of trying to dominate the world because their
• 24:46
  leaders are so preoccupied with surveillance and power.
• 24:50
  My thought not these angels try to be influential, influential
• 24:55
  to these leaders. And then of course, we haven't
• 24:59
  ever, I don't think we've ever talked about the Reserve Corps
• 25:02
  of Destiny, which is the next chapter.

  And that actually involves the unconscious cooperation of
• 25:09
  certain individuals who've been pre selected the Reserve Corps
• 25:14
  of Destiny. That's another group that we'll
• 25:16
  talk about perhaps in a coming episode.
