- 0:15Speaker 2: Thanks mate, Wow, I wasn't expecting that.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Actually, what were you expecting? Man?
- 0:20Speaker 4: Well, no, I just because usually Kezy facts around a bit.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and see as can you try talking to it?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Three one two three?
- 0:32Speaker 2: What's going on with it? And then it was like
- 0:35Speaker 2: we were just into it.
- 0:36Speaker 3: There was only one Ethan geffoy I was.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I wasn't mentally prepared.
- 0:41Speaker 5: Keyzy, well, just for the listeners benefit.
- 0:44Speaker 6: We're in the ACC studio right now, which is a
- 0:46Speaker 6: shambles every time.
- 0:47Speaker 3: You use it.
- 0:48Speaker 6: Yeah, it just glitches out and things don't work properly
- 0:51Speaker 6: in the headphones at the moment.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 6: So I just did a whole podcast for like fifty minutes,
- 0:56Speaker 6: wiggling the little thing that to make them work.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Wiggily, nothing like that. That just does my head and
- 1:02Speaker 4: that sort of shit.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Yeah, man, And I can barely see you, Jason.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't see you at all, and I can
- 1:07Speaker 4: barely hear myself. But hey, well, soldier on with soldier.
- 1:12Speaker 3: On, Ah, fuck, good stuff. How's your shooting last night?
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'll tell you all about it in the show.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It was what were you shooting?
- 1:23Speaker 2: It's keasy, it's.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Good question, geezy.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Let me just put it this way. It's just getting
- 1:32Speaker 4: to the point where I'm going, Okay, I need to
- 1:38Speaker 4: totally reevaluate my life because this is ridiculous what's going
- 1:43Speaker 4: on at the moment, right, just ridiculous event after event
- 1:51Speaker 4: that's just turning into a farce. On the good side,
- 1:55Speaker 4: it's material. On the bad side, it's really fucking me
- 1:59Speaker 4: off now, right.
- 2:00Speaker 5: So like their batch situation for example, Yes.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Like the canceled flight situation for example.
- 2:08Speaker 3: A couple of feely minor inconveniences.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Oh no, the batch was not minor. That was a
- 2:13Speaker 2: fucking pain in.
- 2:14Speaker 7: The ass, not TOAKYSI and in pugs. And they didn't
- 2:18Speaker 7: mind it as much, not as much as you.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that that's because they didn't know what they were
- 2:25Speaker 4: missing out on.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Well they did.
- 2:27Speaker 5: We were hosting, though, there's extra stress though, more.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Streus to you. If you feel like you fucked it up.
- 2:31Speaker 7: Yeah, well I didn't though I know, but I guess
- 2:35Speaker 7: you're conscious of the fact that no one believes that.
- 2:37Speaker 4: You know, but I'm also conscious of the fact of,
- 2:41Speaker 4: you know, not bleazing on about it either. But but
- 2:44Speaker 4: it is funny. What happened last night was funny. It
- 2:47Speaker 4: was so stupid that it was just like, oh, for
- 2:49Speaker 4: fuck's sake. And then I reached the point last night
- 2:53Speaker 4: when I was just sitting on the couch at one
- 2:55Speaker 4: thirty in the morning, going the fuck is going on?
- 2:58Speaker 2: This is just ridiculous?
- 2:59Speaker 7: Yeah, stupid ship, Can you give up acting? The acting
- 3:05Speaker 7: was fine, Yeah, I know, but it's not about the acting.
- 3:08Speaker 5: It sounds like the shagging around involved is like.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But even that is part and parcel of acting.
- 3:17Speaker 3: But it is. But it doesn't mean you like it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: No.
- 3:20Speaker 4: But you know, like we were talking about back in
- 3:23Speaker 4: the day, you just take it all on the chin
- 3:25Speaker 4: and ship. As you get older and you're grumpy here
- 3:28Speaker 4: and stuff, you don't take it so well.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but you also.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Don't want to be a prima donna either. You just
- 3:34Speaker 4: got to suck it up and go.
- 3:36Speaker 3: But then anyone knows you're in a horror of a
- 3:38Speaker 3: mood on seat.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Actually, Tracy, the actor I was working with, yes, she
- 3:44Speaker 4: was an hysterics because she said, it's great.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I can just hear you going. You know, you're sitting
- 3:55Speaker 2: there going.
- 3:57Speaker 5: That is the soundtrack to my life at the mot It's.
- 4:00Speaker 2: A sound track to my life too. It's just ah,
- 4:03Speaker 2: for fuck's sake.
- 4:05Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, well, how about first world problems starting today?
- 4:10Speaker 5: We stop everything from being a shambles.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I've been starting now, you know.
- 4:14Speaker 4: It's it's just this week's been an unfortunate series of events.
- 4:22Speaker 5: It has, it's been bizarre, but.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Also this last year and a half's been an absolute
- 4:26Speaker 4: ship show, and so it's all adding.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Up the last three weeks for me though, And I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 6: for example, Mike, you're getting your sickness back again, which
- 4:34Speaker 6: is a massive ball ache. And then I had a
- 4:37Speaker 6: trip to christ Church which was canceled because my nan
- 4:39Speaker 6: got sick. And then the next week in trip to
- 4:41Speaker 6: christ Church canceled it again because of the funeral. And
- 4:44Speaker 6: then the next weekend your batch canceled that because you
- 4:47Speaker 6: stuffed up the booking.
- 4:48Speaker 5: And and then.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Nelson can be very clear, stuff up the book You didn't.
- 4:54Speaker 6: That's my fury, yes, But like I feel like a
- 4:57Speaker 6: lot of things the last month or so, even for me,
- 4:58Speaker 6: are a bit of a shambles.
- 5:00Speaker 3: And you forgot to take your hoodie and everything you got.
- 5:04Speaker 5: The mogis the I think it's yeah, it is, well,
- 5:10Speaker 5: it does it does no, because I'm trying to think.
- 5:14Speaker 4: And I said, because I had a I went to
- 5:16Speaker 4: counseling today and I said to the woman who they
- 5:20Speaker 4: do my counseling with, I said, the fellows are joking
- 5:23Speaker 4: now that I'm cursed, and I'm beginning to believe I am.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You know what I mean? She said, you're not cursed.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Well, to be cursed with things that are minor inconvenience
- 5:35Speaker 3: isn't no.
- 5:36Speaker 4: But you will put it at all as minor inconveniences.
- 5:39Speaker 2: But cumulatively, Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 7: But you're talking about like workers are pain in the ass.
- 5:47Speaker 7: You had a flight canceled, a batch's double booked those
- 5:52Speaker 7: last night.
- 5:53Speaker 4: I'm talking about three days in a row, like four
- 5:56Speaker 4: days in a row.
- 5:58Speaker 7: But I mean, yeah, I don't know, that's not bigger.
- 6:01Speaker 7: You've got more important precid issues in your life than
- 6:03Speaker 7: that ship.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Absolutely, But those things.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Seem to be the things that break the camel's back.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, ah, how can we how can we minimize Okay,
- 6:14Speaker 6: so when we when we lock on a date for
- 6:16Speaker 6: the batch.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm not even going to go there right now.
- 6:19Speaker 6: We're going to call your father in law two weeks
- 6:22Speaker 6: out and then a week out.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Know, CAZy, this isn't for you to organize exactly the
- 6:26Speaker 7: day you mind your business.
- 6:28Speaker 5: But I just want to help many. I know, I
- 6:30Speaker 5: know you do.
- 6:30Speaker 3: You're stick in your bea kond No I care about
- 6:32Speaker 3: This is for Jason.
- 6:34Speaker 5: This is.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Is only It's only been once and twenty years to
- 6:38Speaker 7: say exactly, I cannot wait keasy for you to have
- 6:44Speaker 7: a kid, because you are going to go through and
- 6:46Speaker 7: you're going to try and solve every single one of
- 6:49Speaker 7: your kids problems, every single every single one, and that
- 6:51Speaker 7: kid is going to be fucking use as a resuld
- 6:54Speaker 7: of that because they need to work everything out for themselves.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Right.
- 6:58Speaker 7: That's the hardest thing is you're just going to go
- 6:59Speaker 7: You work out, mate, you working out. It is going
- 7:01Speaker 7: to be the most difficult challenge for you as a
- 7:03Speaker 7: human being, as will be letting them work out for
- 7:07Speaker 7: themselves because you are unable to stay out to people's business.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Do you know why?
- 7:10Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 7:11Speaker 6: Actually my wife refuses to let me fix anything. It's
- 7:16Speaker 6: the most infuriating fucking thing in my entire life is
- 7:18Speaker 6: the fact that anytime I suggest anything that could make
- 7:20Speaker 6: anything slightly better, she goes, well, why don't you do it?
- 7:23Speaker 6: Then exactly exactly and then doesn't let me do it would.
- 7:27Speaker 7: Drive me up the wall. Having somebody constantly thinking they
- 7:30Speaker 7: know better.
- 7:32Speaker 1: The Whole Archy Big Show week days from four on
- 7:35Speaker 1: Radio Hierarchy with the Warchy Big Show Podcast.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Well, in these cases, I feel like, yeah, you can
- 7:41Speaker 6: you minimize, yes, minimize potential stress.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Yeah, that's just how my brain works.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 7:48Speaker 7: But what I'm saying is, when you have a kid, yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 7: that is not going to give you great returns on
- 7:52Speaker 7: that kid because they will be like and they get
- 7:55Speaker 7: frustrated and they and your instinct is to help. Yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 7: but you can't. You're not allowed to because it just
- 8:02Speaker 7: ends up ruining the kid.
- 8:04Speaker 6: See that's like the other day, I went for a
- 8:05Speaker 6: walk with my mate Guy and who's got a two
- 8:07Speaker 6: and a half year old daughter, and we went to
- 8:09Speaker 6: the playground and I've not had a lot of time
- 8:11Speaker 6: with a kid of that a little and it was
- 8:14Speaker 6: great fun. And at one point she was trying to
- 8:16Speaker 6: get into the swing thing and then I was like
- 8:20Speaker 6: genuinely the guy. I was like, so in this situation,
- 8:21Speaker 6: do you help her do it? He's like, to be honest, no,
- 8:24Speaker 6: if she's really struggling and getting upset, I will. Otherwise
- 8:28Speaker 6: absolutely not. You just let her figure it out. And
- 8:30Speaker 6: then I was like, okay, cool, against every fiber of
- 8:33Speaker 6: my beer.
- 8:33Speaker 4: You wait till you wait till you get to the
- 8:36Speaker 4: teenage ys. Do that is next level.
- 8:40Speaker 5: It's gonna be so good.
- 8:41Speaker 2: That's where you're going.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Okay, I don't want you going down these stupid paths,
- 8:46Speaker 4: but at the same time, I went down those stupid paths,
- 8:50Speaker 4: so I can't. I'm not going to sit here and
- 8:52Speaker 4: say you can't do this, but I can give you
- 8:55Speaker 4: some guidelines and then off you go and boy it.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And but you've also going to realize too.
- 9:01Speaker 4: I mean, the difference between when we were teenagers and
- 9:05Speaker 4: teenagers today is a fucking planet. It is a completely
- 9:10Speaker 4: different world, social.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Media and all that shit. It is a nightmare.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Yeah, although I do think my kids will be different though, Yeah.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Because it's different. Yeah, with the right advice.
- 9:23Speaker 4: But absolutely there's got to be an element of you've
- 9:27Speaker 4: got only that is the hardest thing is letting your
- 9:29Speaker 4: kids make mistakes and going Okay, this is a mistake,
- 9:34Speaker 4: but you don't even say that, but I'm going to
- 9:36Speaker 4: let you make it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 7: I mean they at a younger age. It's more just
- 9:41Speaker 7: basic than that. Yes, it's just you can yes. Yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 7: it's not so mental and emotion No. No, that's right
- 9:48Speaker 7: and all of it. Because I've got a younger sister.
- 9:51Speaker 7: She's sixteen years younger than me, so it's quite a
- 9:54Speaker 7: big difference. Yes, and so when she was coming up
- 9:58Speaker 7: through her teenage years, I was like twenty nine thirty
- 10:02Speaker 7: and so, but I could come into a position from
- 10:08Speaker 7: rather than parents. Parents, by and large, they'll tell their
- 10:11Speaker 7: kids what to do, yes, because of the experiences that
- 10:15Speaker 7: they've had. But for me, what I learnt through that was, yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 7: you can do that. This is what this is what
- 10:21Speaker 7: I used to do when I was your age, and
- 10:23Speaker 7: this is what I found happened to me as a
- 10:25Speaker 7: result of me doing those things. Yes, and then when
- 10:27Speaker 7: you talk like that, they're more inclined to tell you
- 10:29Speaker 7: the ship that they've been up to as well and
- 10:31Speaker 7: be more open about what.
- 10:32Speaker 3: They're going through. Yeah you can't do that.
- 10:35Speaker 7: They're just like, oh fuck, I'll just shut up. But
- 10:37Speaker 7: if you say, yeah, I used to be an absolute
- 10:39Speaker 7: piece of shit and I'm amazed that I'm alive. Yes,
- 10:41Speaker 7: then they go yeah, well actually, yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you can take that approach to and it's a
- 10:46Speaker 4: good approach, you know, even with your kids. And but
- 10:50Speaker 4: you'll you can also get aha yeah and you go okay, yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 4: just saying and you're saying I kind of went. But
- 11:00Speaker 4: you know, we were talking a little while back about
- 11:04Speaker 4: you know, letting people learn their own way, and and
- 11:07Speaker 4: one of this interesting phenomenon like with private schools like
- 11:13Speaker 4: Kings and stuff like that up here in Auckland, where
- 11:16Speaker 4: they would just be managed to the nth degree by
- 11:20Speaker 4: their teachers and shown how to pass their exams and
- 11:24Speaker 4: micro managed, and then they'd get into a university situation
- 11:29Speaker 4: and the fallout and the lack of completion was massive
- 11:32Speaker 4: amongst that kind of group of kids because everything had
- 11:36Speaker 4: been done for them and they had no sense of
- 11:40Speaker 4: doing shit themselves.
- 11:41Speaker 6: It's like former professional sports people, yes, because they're you know,
- 11:44Speaker 6: they're given their regime basically and how and their diets
- 11:48Speaker 6: and all that stuff. And then as soon as that finishes,
- 11:50Speaker 6: quite often, unless you get help, yes, all of a sudden,
- 11:54Speaker 6: you're just on your own.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Yeah, which canna be quite.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Too, and they fall apart or can do.
- 11:58Speaker 5: So what you want to have a tax situation is
- 12:00Speaker 5: you want to like to.
- 12:03Speaker 6: I'm just joking, of course, but I only I only
- 12:07Speaker 6: want to help Jase because I.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Know he's stressed. But you want to help everybody like
- 12:10Speaker 5: I don't want to help you, But I don't think
- 12:15Speaker 5: you need help.
- 12:16Speaker 7: No, no, I mean, but I mean, every opportunity there
- 12:19Speaker 7: is for you to give advice, you will give it.
- 12:22Speaker 7: You love, you love jumping in that, which is not
- 12:26Speaker 7: a bad thing I feel.
- 12:28Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 12:28Speaker 7: It's not a bad thing at all, not a bad
- 12:30Speaker 7: thing at all. But you jump, You've you've always got
- 12:33Speaker 7: advice to give an every situation. So my point, the
- 12:35Speaker 7: only point I'm making, is that when you have a kid,
- 12:38Speaker 7: and it's going to be very tough for you, very
- 12:41Speaker 7: very tough.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I like it.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I mean, and it's going to be hard enough anyway.
- 12:47Speaker 7: Yeah, it's going to be really hard when you think
- 12:49Speaker 7: you guys must be jud start having kids, aren't you,
- 12:51Speaker 7: because you guys are both getting on. But it's also
- 12:54Speaker 7: that thing too, because what you do is you take
- 12:56Speaker 7: out you when.
- 12:57Speaker 4: You know when you're having a herd the time and stuff.
- 13:02Speaker 2: A lot of the time you don't want advice. Oh no,
- 13:05Speaker 2: it's the least moment. It's the least when you when
- 13:10Speaker 2: the last thing you.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Is when people fucking go oh, this is what you
- 13:16Speaker 4: should do, and you go just just.
- 13:19Speaker 7: About and in fact that that's usually uh, that's a
- 13:24Speaker 7: complaint in your relationships, right. Oftentimes you'll find that your
- 13:30Speaker 7: partner wants to vent. But as males, and this is
- 13:34Speaker 7: a broad strokes, fucking blah blah blah, what you want
- 13:37Speaker 7: to problem solve. So when you hear somebody complaining to
- 13:39Speaker 7: you about a problem, you go, oh, well, why don't
- 13:43Speaker 7: you do this? And but the thing is, no, no,
- 13:45Speaker 7: I don't want you to solve it. I just want
- 13:47Speaker 7: to be able to complain about it, whereas my thing
- 13:49Speaker 7: is I don't want to hear any complaining. Let's solve it, right,
- 13:52Speaker 7: which is also.
- 13:53Speaker 5: No, I've changed. I used to be like that.
- 13:55Speaker 3: You get beaten up by a day.
- 13:57Speaker 5: No, I'm happy for them to complain for a while.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Oh for a while, and then yeah, for a wee while.
- 14:03Speaker 6: How you feeling? Should we try it out a minute? Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 6: it's for me.
- 14:07Speaker 3: But I do also say is this are we just
- 14:09Speaker 3: complaining or are we You.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Know, I don't really complain to my wife, but I
- 14:16Speaker 4: can be in a horror of the mood and she
- 14:22Speaker 4: she'll just leave me alone. Yeah. That's the only time
- 14:27Speaker 4: where it's like, well, and when I'm in a bad mood,
- 14:29Speaker 4: not because necessarily things have gone wrong or anything, and
- 14:31Speaker 4: people go, oh, why don't you go and do this
- 14:33Speaker 4: or why don't you go and do that, And it's like, no,
- 14:36Speaker 4: I just want to be in a fucking bad mood
- 14:38Speaker 4: and just leave me.
- 14:39Speaker 7: Glasses has learned that from raising four daughters, and that
- 14:42Speaker 7: is when your kids and her emergers, let them work
- 14:45Speaker 7: it out.
- 14:45Speaker 2: And leave it alone.
- 14:47Speaker 7: Yeah, you just go quiet. Do you bring her real
- 14:50Speaker 7: dark on the same Yeah, it's a bad trait. I
- 14:52Speaker 7: got that off my mum.
- 14:53Speaker 6: Yes, my wife had this funny thing last night to
- 14:56Speaker 6: do with that, which is like when my partner gets angry,
- 15:00Speaker 6: she doesn't want to talk to me or be near me,
- 15:02Speaker 6: but she still wants me to be nearby so that
- 15:05Speaker 6: she can show me that she doesn't want to talk
- 15:07Speaker 6: to me or be you like, so if you just
- 15:10Speaker 6: completely shut them off, that will make them even more annoyed,
- 15:12Speaker 6: whereas if you attempt to talk to them, they will
- 15:15Speaker 6: at least be given the chance to be like, no,
- 15:16Speaker 6: I'm angry at you, and that helps.
- 15:19Speaker 4: So it's annoying, it's fascinating, really fascinating stuff.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Hey, anyway, listen to the hud Acky Big Show for
- 15:25Speaker 5: to seven.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Don't.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We'll solve all your problems.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Sorted out enough problems of her own
