- 0:00Speaker 1: Solid.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Mm yoho, y'are welcome everybody.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Mm hmmm what is that voice?
- 0:25Speaker 4: If? If this is the it's a good start. It
- 0:29Speaker 4: was a good start. I like to start everybody.
- 0:32Speaker 5: I liked it, I would honestly, I probably should have
- 0:35Speaker 5: deferred to Tara so that she could introduce our bestie,
- 0:40Speaker 5: our bestest friend in the world, just her shoulder.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I brough a guest for a ten Night's show. If
- 0:49Speaker 1: any of you guys saw us when I used to
- 0:51Speaker 1: help co host the Hey Host Show, the uh Per
- 0:55Speaker 1: Halloween Show, I dressed up in this attire and the
- 0:58Speaker 1: chat got to name my pat parrot here who we
- 1:01Speaker 1: settled with the name Pickle Tips. So Pickle Tips is
- 1:04Speaker 1: our special guest of honor tonight. I promise you this
- 1:07Speaker 1: is the least craziest thing you're a good about tonight.
- 1:16Speaker 4: And us wrapped in Lonely Island, and it still would
- 1:20Speaker 4: be the least weird thing, right.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So you're probably wondering, like why I'm dressed as a pirate.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We decided, with tonight's show being boat themed in our
- 1:31Speaker 1: Zizzy and Escapades, we decided to dress up that way.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And I don't have boat clothes, so I went as
- 1:39Speaker 1: a pirate, which also fits with what we're talking about.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Conversation after we got done on Thursday, it was we
- 1:49Speaker 4: should totally wear boat stuff. That would be awesome. And
- 1:52Speaker 4: Terry and I were like, well, I've got this, I've
- 1:53Speaker 4: got this, and Tara was like, wait, I don't have anything,
- 1:56Speaker 4: and you're the one who brought it up.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I mean, and we get pickled.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Can we get pickles? Legal tits you can bring out
- 2:10Speaker 3: well and not get a band.
- 2:13Speaker 1: That's true on the YouTube, that's true.
- 2:16Speaker 3: They don't And I need to just heads up, guys.
- 2:19Speaker 3: We've got a storm rolling through Jasper's bang behind me
- 2:24Speaker 3: and the dogs might go a little crazy as the
- 2:27Speaker 3: thundering lightning rolls, So just don't be mad at poor Jasper.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Who could help it? Who could ever?
- 2:36Speaker 4: Dog gunnet Chad get your storm out of here.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Oh, then let's be prepared if my power goes out. Well,
- 2:44Speaker 3: I think about that till just now.
- 2:45Speaker 1: We'll have pickle teds read your your notes.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Sounds an awful lot like Harrison Ford. It's fantastic.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Like as a person or.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I mean, listen, the last time we were flying and
- 3:03Speaker 4: he said get off my plane. Oh, and I was like, okay,
- 3:06Speaker 4: that's fine.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Well, welcome back everyone. So tonight we dive into episode
- 3:15Speaker 1: three of our special investigation, Zizion's on Field. This multi
- 3:22Speaker 1: part deep dive exposes the chilling truth behind the Zizian Cult,
- 3:27Speaker 1: a radical mix of trans vegan rationalist anarchists who have
- 3:33Speaker 1: left a trail of bodies stretching from coast to coast.
- 3:37Speaker 1: This is, without a doubt, the most bizarre and complex
- 3:41Speaker 1: true crime case I have ever encountered, and with new
- 3:45Speaker 1: details emerging almost daily, Oh gosh, come out lately, but
- 3:51Speaker 1: the story keeps getting wilder. So we're here to continue that.
- 3:54Speaker 1: We'll be here every Sunday at nine pm unraveling the
- 3:58Speaker 1: tangled web of the Zizians. So make sure you are subscribed.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You hit that like button right now so people can
- 4:06Speaker 1: also know to tune in and not miss out and
- 4:09Speaker 1: turn on notifications because you do not want to miss
- 4:11Speaker 1: a single minute of this investigation. But before we go
- 4:15Speaker 1: into talking about all of that, what are we all
- 4:17Speaker 1: drinking tonight?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Terry Well? I decided to go with one of my
- 4:23Speaker 3: new favorite wines and it is white Haven seven Young
- 4:27Speaker 3: Blanc from New Zealand, and I like it. It's fresh,
- 4:31Speaker 3: it's aromatic and it's got lemon verbina. I have no
- 4:36Speaker 3: idea what that means in lemon grass flavors. But I
- 4:40Speaker 3: like it because it's crisp. But it's not so light
- 4:44Speaker 3: that I can just sit here and drink two or
- 4:47Speaker 3: three bottles in a night. So Scott just a little bit.
- 4:51Speaker 3: And it says it has pair and yuzu notes. So
- 4:56Speaker 3: if anybody knows what a yuzu note is, I need
- 4:59Speaker 3: to no, because I don't know if I'm experiencing it
- 5:03Speaker 3: or not.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Is Japanese liquor or something? Yeah, okay, I think I've
- 5:11Speaker 1: had it before, now that I think about it.
- 5:14Speaker 4: You do it is a citrus It's a citrus fruit.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Oh maybe that's not that.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I'm just it's one of my new favorites. There's no
- 5:28Speaker 3: insane tariffs against New Zealand, so the price shouldn't get
- 5:33Speaker 3: all jacked up on me like some of the other.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Now, but you've spoken that, I know, Oh my goodness.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Well as for me, I'm going with barefoot moscato again.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I didn't drink a whole bottle this time before the show,
- 5:52Speaker 1: just half. I'm doing better. I have two bottles of those.
- 5:57Speaker 1: You know, it's not one of my favorites. But it's
- 5:59Speaker 1: really all they out at the gas station, so you know,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and it led to a great show last week, so
- 6:05Speaker 1: why not continue the fun. No reason to attempt fate.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm so happy to be back tonight with you guys
- 6:13Speaker 1: to talk about this crazy case. It's gonna be I'm
- 6:17Speaker 1: gonna warn y'all now, it's gonna be another long one.
- 6:21Speaker 1: And if you thought, but if you thought last week
- 6:23Speaker 1: was a wild ride, oh boy, oh boy, buckle up.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Actually a better idea put on a life vest since
- 6:33Speaker 1: we're gonna be in the boating world because you're probably
- 6:36Speaker 1: gonna need it.
- 6:39Speaker 4: That's true, yea. I you know, I kind of want
- 6:42Speaker 4: to talk about a little bit about this case, and
- 6:44Speaker 4: then you know why I'm interested, and then what I'm drinking.
- 6:47Speaker 4: So I'm gonna make you all wait, although you probably
- 6:49Speaker 4: tell me less of can So why am I interested
- 6:54Speaker 4: or still interested? It's not every day you stumble across
- 6:56Speaker 4: a group that combines anarchists, sailboat communes, iy hormone labs,
- 7:01Speaker 4: effect of ultruism, sleep deprecation, box truck convert conversions, and
- 7:06Speaker 4: mind control techniques under the umbrella of saving the world
- 7:08Speaker 4: with math. And vibes. M it's a it's a story
- 7:12Speaker 4: that continues to be really good case study and what
- 7:15Speaker 4: happens when no one's there to say, hey, maybe that's
- 7:18Speaker 4: a bad idea.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Sometimes.
- 7:22Speaker 4: So what did I choose to drink? Well, let's be real,
- 7:25Speaker 4: there there's no wine on this planet strong enough to
- 7:27Speaker 4: pair with a cult that tried to solve rent by
- 7:29Speaker 4: playing SeaWorld with a sunken tug boat in a spreadsheet.
- 7:32Speaker 4: So I chose a non alcoholic beer. Why? Well, because
- 7:39Speaker 4: this case has me questioning everything, my sanity, the definition
- 7:43Speaker 4: of rational, whether I too should be prepping a slackmobile
- 7:47Speaker 4: with a cryo freezer. I needed. I needed something that
- 7:52Speaker 4: felt like alcohol but wouldn't have me waking up in
- 7:55Speaker 4: a box truck outside of defunct Whole Foods. Also, like,
- 8:00Speaker 4: let's be honest, if I drank real beer every time
- 8:03Speaker 4: Ziz wrote out the phrase man of mind control or
- 8:06Speaker 4: I had to become associatepath to be good, I'd need
- 8:08Speaker 4: a new liver. By episode five, I am a.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Little upset that it wasn't until like just now, I
- 8:16Speaker 1: thought we should have made a freaking bingo card for
- 8:19Speaker 1: people to play with for tonight, because oh, we should
- 8:23Speaker 1: have dang. Maybe one of our future wines. Maybe if
- 8:28Speaker 1: we read again, yeah a blog post, we doesney and bingo,
- 8:35Speaker 1: oh goodness.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Well anyway, as we've done in the first two episodes,
- 8:42Speaker 4: this series involves many non binary and transgender people. We're
- 8:46Speaker 4: not going to avoid these topics as they are important
- 8:49Speaker 4: to the philosophy of the cult. All subjects are going
- 8:51Speaker 4: to be introduced with their chosen name and legal name.
- 8:54Speaker 4: For the sake of legal research. We will do our
- 8:56Speaker 4: best to use appropriate pronouns, but please know that if
- 9:00Speaker 4: any mistakes are made, it speaks to the vast number
- 9:04Speaker 4: of players in this case and the complicated nature of
- 9:07Speaker 4: their beliefs, and it is in no way intended to
- 9:10Speaker 4: disrespect their gender identity. We are very, very proud of
- 9:14Speaker 4: the respectful, inclusive, and inclusive chat community that we have
- 9:18Speaker 4: put together here. Our regulars know the drill, but to
- 9:21Speaker 4: anybody popping in, please know that we don't tolerate hate speech.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Statistically speaking, trans people are four times more likely than
- 9:29Speaker 4: susgendered people to be victims of crime. We're not here
- 9:33Speaker 4: to fan that fire. We are here to discuss how
- 9:37Speaker 4: this group of bright young people ended up involved in
- 9:40Speaker 4: multiple deaths.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Now, I will say if they want to give a
- 9:46Speaker 3: hate speech about the fact my hairs up because I've
- 9:49Speaker 3: never worn it up on a show, I'm here for that.
- 9:51Speaker 3: But other than that, keep your hate speech to yourself.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So, now we're going to give you a brief recap
- 10:00Speaker 3: in what part of this story will we uncover in
- 10:03Speaker 3: this episode. So, just like with previous episodes, we've made
- 10:08Speaker 3: some very helpful graphics to go along with this story.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Let me be clear I had nothing to do with
- 10:14Speaker 3: making graphics because we all know Terry is not the
- 10:17Speaker 3: visual girl. Okay, that'd be our love to Cappen.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Shout out to Cappen, who works extra this week for
- 10:24Speaker 1: you guys to the Extra.
- 10:27Speaker 3: If you're listening to this on the podcast apps, I
- 10:31Speaker 3: just can't suggest enough to you that you need to
- 10:35Speaker 3: go and watch our True Crime and Mine Time YouTube
- 10:38Speaker 3: channel to follow along because just hearing it, your brain
- 10:42Speaker 3: is going to spin and you're going to look like
- 10:44Speaker 3: the Exorcist when come aha, you know, and it shoots off.
- 10:47Speaker 3: But if you look at the visuals, it will help you. Okay. Now,
- 10:52Speaker 3: and if you're just catching this for the very first
- 10:55Speaker 3: time and you're a little confused. You can find the
- 10:58Speaker 3: episodes on our channel under our Lives in a created
- 11:03Speaker 3: list about the Zizzians, because, as Tara said earlier, you
- 11:08Speaker 3: do not want to miss one iota of these depauls.
- 11:13Speaker 1: No, you do not.
- 11:15Speaker 4: And before I want to tarantino it for a second,
- 11:18Speaker 4: before we go any further, I do want to say
- 11:20Speaker 4: I totally forgot, totally forgot to actually say what I
- 11:22Speaker 4: was drinking. It is not alcoholic, but I am drinking oduels.
- 11:27Speaker 4: This is this is you know, pour one out for
- 11:29Speaker 4: my Graham. My grandma always used to like to have
- 11:31Speaker 4: a no duels and wings every time I went north
- 11:34Speaker 4: into Ohio. So for you Graham, enjoyed this episode.
- 11:38Speaker 1: That's great. So speaking of ventuals, here's our little cheat
- 11:43Speaker 1: sheet of all the people that will be brought up
- 11:45Speaker 1: and talked about throughout this whole series that we've been
- 11:51Speaker 1: updating as we go along here and yes, all seventeen
- 11:56Speaker 1: people all right now. In tonight's episode, we're still discussing
- 12:00Speaker 1: the early days of the Zizzi Ends, and nothing that
- 12:03Speaker 1: terrible has happened yet in the timeline. But as I
- 12:06Speaker 1: said in the very first episode of this epic tale,
- 12:10Speaker 1: eight of these people will be dead by the end
- 12:13Speaker 1: of the story. Seven of them are currently in jail,
- 12:17Speaker 1: some for murder, and two people whose whereabouts are unknown
- 12:23Speaker 1: at this time. Now, don't feel overwhelmed, because tonight we're
- 12:28Speaker 1: only going to be discussing four four people, bringing it
- 12:33Speaker 1: down to bite sized chunks here for you guys. So
- 12:37Speaker 1: we're going to continue tonight reading the dumpster fire that
- 12:40Speaker 1: is Business Blog sinceriously. Last week we discussed Ziz meeting
- 12:48Speaker 1: Gwynn Danielson for the first time, and tonight we will
- 12:52Speaker 1: be introducing two new people, Maya Pask and Fluttershy aka
- 12:58Speaker 1: j Winniford. So we left off last week with our
- 13:02Speaker 1: unlikely cult leaders is moving on to a sailboat with
- 13:07Speaker 1: her new bestie and occasional dragon got.
- 13:13Speaker 4: I don't think that this is what culture meant by
- 13:15Speaker 4: chasing the dragon. I mean, I guess she fancied herself
- 13:18Speaker 4: a part time Denaris or she wanted to be ridden
- 13:21Speaker 4: by den I'm not quite sure, but here we are,
- 13:24Speaker 4: ah the dragons.
- 13:26Speaker 1: That was that was so great. So Sis had recently
- 13:30Speaker 1: gotten some unemployment money, so she was no longer bothered
- 13:35Speaker 1: by Google not getting back to her about that job.
- 13:38Speaker 1: That she was supposed to start there because you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: when you get ten brand live in the life instead
- 13:44Speaker 1: of focused right, instead Puff the Magic Dragon. I think
- 13:50Speaker 1: if Puff the Magic Dragon was around, we wouldn't be
- 13:53Speaker 1: here tonight. Okay, I don't think we'd be here tonight
- 13:58Speaker 1: if Puff, I'll take peeps Dragon. So instead of worrying
- 14:03Speaker 1: about that job, she turned her focus to learn to sail,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and Gwynn taught her the basics, starting with dropping anchor
- 14:10Speaker 1: and emergency says. Immediately noted how cold the water in
- 14:15Speaker 1: the bay was, writing the water was cold. We looked
- 14:21Speaker 1: it up and it was hypothermia to blacking out in
- 14:24Speaker 1: one to two hours and maybe having waves put water
- 14:28Speaker 1: in your lungs while blacked out. It's called drowningsis but
- 14:33Speaker 1: use all the words one to six hours to hyperthermia,
- 14:38Speaker 1: unto death. And there's a that's followed by a lot
- 14:43Speaker 1: of boat info on the blog at this point that
- 14:46Speaker 1: we're we're not going to get into so if but
- 14:50Speaker 1: if you're a real vessel head, you might want to
- 14:52Speaker 1: go check it out yourself. I don't know what they're
- 14:54Speaker 1: talking about. Ci from Ohio were some people have we
- 14:58Speaker 1: have boats in a while, but like we don't really
- 15:01Speaker 1: have boats.
- 15:01Speaker 4: They're usually.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so we won't be covering all the differences between
- 15:09Speaker 1: a sloop and a shooner. Bootboards are so funny, you guys,
- 15:15Speaker 1: They are funny. There's so funny. But I did enjoy
- 15:21Speaker 1: a second. I did enjoy the part about how Ziz
- 15:27Speaker 1: was so afraid of getting hit in the head by
- 15:30Speaker 1: part of the boat that she started wearing a bike
- 15:33Speaker 1: helmet while sailing, and I brought mine as well. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: brought all the pops props so they didn't know I
- 15:47Speaker 1: can't miss by coming up by.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Way I didn't I would have brought my pink bike
- 15:51Speaker 3: helmet well, like.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Her wearing the helmets, like wearing a full suit of
- 15:57Speaker 4: armor to a pillow fight, like nuggin Like Honestly, it
- 16:01Speaker 4: kind of reminds me of Stewart from d TV a
- 16:03Speaker 4: bit like look what I know, very.
- 16:06Speaker 3: At that face, look at that phase.
- 16:09Speaker 1: By the way, that we're using AI to tell this story,
- 16:15Speaker 1: lizel there, you know, gung, how about AI is hilarious?
- 16:19Speaker 3: It is.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Look at it. It's amazing. Yeah.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Well, but guys, it is around this time that Ziz
- 16:28Speaker 3: met Jane Okay at another Rationalists meetup Jane was born
- 16:34Speaker 3: Jacob Ray Pecker peckerrec. I don't know, and for techret
- 16:40Speaker 3: peckerrec in for Worth, Texas. That is not a Texas name.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I'm going to just go out and say that people
- 16:47Speaker 3: like everyone we have met in this group, Jacob or
- 16:50Speaker 3: Jay as they were known, then excelled in school, even
- 16:55Speaker 3: making eagle scout and guys, that's a big deal. That's
- 16:59Speaker 3: a big deal. So they attended Trenton University in San Antonio, Tixas,
- 17:06Speaker 3: changing majors from philosophy to both meth a wait a minute,
- 17:10Speaker 3: math in chemistry before earning a bachelor's in twenty fifty. Sorry,
- 17:18Speaker 3: I couldn't help about the myth anyway. Friends describe them
- 17:23Speaker 3: as goofy, wise, calm, and playful all at once, and
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm going to just tell you all that makes my
- 17:31Speaker 3: brain hurt. Just if they're goofy, wise, calm, and playful
- 17:35Speaker 3: all at once. That doesn't work for me, but that's okay.
- 17:41Speaker 3: At some point, Jay began to identify as female, going
- 17:45Speaker 3: by Jane and using the online name a Fluttershy and guys,
- 17:51Speaker 3: yes like the my little pony, which I have to say,
- 17:57Speaker 3: which girl. At some point in their life didn't want
- 18:00Speaker 3: to be My Little Pony or own one. Oh yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 3: so it's unclear whether this happened before or after moving
- 18:08Speaker 3: to San Francisco and becoming involved in the rationalist community.
- 18:14Speaker 4: I can't take one more cultural tie from these people,
- 18:21Speaker 4: like the IP gods are not pleased by any of this.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Now. I don't know how many of you have watched
- 18:31Speaker 1: the new My Little Pony series that's been out for
- 18:34Speaker 1: quite a few years. We watched a lot. My son
- 18:36Speaker 1: loved it. We all actually love it. It's really good.
- 18:40Speaker 1: My Little Pony is super good. Chat. This is something
- 18:44Speaker 1: for you. You can let us know your favorite pony,
- 18:47Speaker 1: who do you identify with. I will let you know
- 18:50Speaker 1: that my favorite my Little Pony, who I think represents
- 18:53Speaker 1: me the best, is Rarety. Fluttershy is great too, props
- 18:58Speaker 1: for a peck and Fluttershy. But I am, without a
- 19:01Speaker 1: doubt a rarity girl.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Myself in the history of me. I'm just gonna let
- 19:04Speaker 4: everybody else tell me who I am because.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I'm a care bear. So oh, I don't know what
- 19:13Speaker 3: that says about me. Because I'm a care bear, you
- 19:16Speaker 3: are can respect?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Yeah, care bears are solid.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Too, anyway.
- 19:21Speaker 1: So she goes on in her blog to write my
- 19:26Speaker 1: less wrong meetup attendance dropped off. Talking to Jasper Gwenn
- 19:31Speaker 1: was better, probably because Gwenn can't go anywhere else on
- 19:35Speaker 1: the boat and has to listen to you in your nonsenses.
- 19:37Speaker 1: But sure. At the beginning of March I went to one.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I talked to someone I'd seen many times at meetups
- 19:46Speaker 1: but never really talked to before, Jacob Peccarec aka Fluttershy
- 19:51Speaker 1: now aka Jane. Usually they would sit silently in the
- 19:56Speaker 1: male andro file cuddle pile, but she he was apparently
- 20:01Speaker 1: a trans woman. And by the way, in case you
- 20:04Speaker 1: guys are wondering, because I googled it, because I didn't
- 20:06Speaker 1: know what it means, uh, andrewphile refers to someone who
- 20:09Speaker 1: is sexually attracted to men and or masculinity. So I'm
- 20:14Speaker 1: not really sure why this is. It's all hung up
- 20:17Speaker 1: about this, like Fluttershy is confused or being deceitful or
- 20:23Speaker 1: something like, I don't understand why she's being so judgy.
- 20:25Speaker 1: It's well, it's this, that's why she's a judgy, juty sketchy.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I'm anyway, this is so super glad. I'm super glad
- 20:34Speaker 4: that you said something about this because I legitimately had
- 20:36Speaker 4: to look it up because I never I've never I've
- 20:43Speaker 4: never heard of it. Uh, this can't just say gay
- 20:46Speaker 4: like a normal person. She had to bust out androphile,
- 20:48Speaker 4: like she was ordering sexuality off a nineteenth century apothecary menu.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Well, actually, I don't think it's just like I think
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'm an androphile? Right? Is that how that works? I
- 21:00Speaker 1: don't know. It doesn't matter, I suppose so.
- 21:03Speaker 4: It just felt like that's how she used it.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it was fair. No, I very much agree with
- 21:08Speaker 1: you on death Jesus is anyway. Quote. I guess I
- 21:15Speaker 1: should have seen that coming, given the identification with flettershy.
- 21:20Speaker 1: She talked in tones like she was cooing to a baby.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I ignored it, thinking something like quote, trans people are
- 21:29Speaker 1: gonna ineffectively, embarrassingly cope with nature having fucked up our voices.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I don't want to give her shit about it. Retrospectively,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I guess she was mimicking the character. I think I
- 21:42Speaker 1: realized that before and then forgot.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, yeah, I guess it's my turn into this. Huh.
- 21:56Speaker 4: She said she was a vegetarian. Okay, if she had
- 22:00Speaker 4: the trait and was this readily interested in my ideas,
- 22:04Speaker 4: Maybe she could be useful. She said she was other kin,
- 22:08Speaker 4: specifically a pony.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Right. So I think it's interesting that Ziz, as we've
- 22:15Speaker 1: learned from all of her interactions thus far, has a
- 22:18Speaker 1: weird checklist on who she seid deems were they to
- 22:21Speaker 1: even interact with, Like, you have to be vegan, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: you have to think my block is awesome, and then
- 22:28Speaker 1: we can talk. And to use the term useful, like
- 22:36Speaker 1: people are just a means to an end for her.
- 22:40Speaker 3: It's just.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, by the way, we're gonna be full of snark
- 22:45Speaker 1: again tonight. Just let you guys know, right.
- 22:48Speaker 4: So, Like, the only thing I could think of was, like,
- 22:51Speaker 4: that's your lynch pin for being interested in somebody, Like
- 22:55Speaker 4: you eat carrots and you like, I know, it's just
- 22:58Speaker 4: like I wish my life was like that. So, continuing on,
- 23:05Speaker 4: I remarked about a list of similarities with Jasper Gwen
- 23:09Speaker 4: list of similarities between me and Jasper Gwen. It was
- 23:13Speaker 4: a running troll pothesis between us. Other strangers assumed we
- 23:19Speaker 4: were siblings. We even looked similar, and so did Jane.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Jane seemed extremely happy about this, I think she asked
- 23:27Speaker 4: to me to introduce her. I think I said something
- 23:31Speaker 4: not fully committal a hashtag cool story bro, I mean one.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I like how she makes up words trolls. Yes, but
- 23:46Speaker 1: you know she's not wrong like her Gwen and Fluttershy.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Oh do look a lot of like they do what
- 23:56Speaker 1: they do.
- 23:57Speaker 4: It's very Arran.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Anyway, So.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Honest, it's vary and what it is.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Going to remove my bike helmet, so I hope nothing
- 24:12Speaker 1: from the boat hits me, and I should add a
- 24:17Speaker 1: little tiny bike helmet for pickles.
- 24:21Speaker 4: You are in a computer chair, so don't fall out.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Stay there.
- 24:27Speaker 3: And you say out and fall out of a chair.
- 24:29Speaker 3: We know what that looks like and it scares people.
- 24:32Speaker 1: That is true seeing it. Don't like it anyway, So
- 24:35Speaker 1: she continues on, Oh, this is one of my favorite parts,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you guys. Okay, Well, she asked me to lie on
- 24:44Speaker 1: the ground and stare into her eyes, saying this would
- 24:48Speaker 1: release oxytocin. Part of me was weirdly hesitant to say
- 24:53Speaker 1: no to any request from her. Part of me was like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: this is creepy attent in mind control. But that sounded
- 25:02Speaker 1: like mostly placebobs right my cash. Flint's response to failed
- 25:09Speaker 1: mind control formed of imagining optimal responses to fictional scenarios
- 25:16Speaker 1: was quote, pretend it's working. See what opportunities there relions
- 25:21Speaker 1: on the expectation you are their slave opens up And
- 25:25Speaker 1: this thought sort of play caated that part in me
- 25:28Speaker 1: and that was scared of her, and I agreed, but
- 25:32Speaker 1: I positioned myself so that there were legs of a
- 25:35Speaker 1: table between us.
- 25:41Speaker 4: You know, like a raft of shades.
- 25:47Speaker 3: All I can think of Oxytocin. Isn't that what they
- 25:52Speaker 3: give you when you're pregnant to make you go into labor.
- 25:55Speaker 1: No, Oxytocin is what your brain, the chemical your brains
- 26:00Speaker 1: like when you're.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I know that was doing it popped in my brains.
- 26:07Speaker 4: We don't know about oxytocin. It does not exist.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe we should sereund each other's eyes.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Oh, let's do that and see what.
- 26:16Speaker 4: No, no, you know what I do have a table
- 26:18Speaker 4: here with.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I mean, next thing, you know, we're gonna be saying
- 26:24Speaker 3: candy Man three times.
- 26:26Speaker 1: No way girl.
- 26:30Speaker 4: That I'm already wearing an ascot and it's sweater. I'm
- 26:34Speaker 4: not saying candy Man, are you I.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Can't see it because your microphones in the way.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It's not a real one. I turned a tie into
- 26:42Speaker 4: an ascot. I don't have I love it.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I love it still. That's amazing.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Say you still look very dapper.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Now?
- 26:55Speaker 3: She pressed for that introduction to gwyn I think she said.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I I remember having evaluated this as suspicious of being
- 27:05Speaker 3: an adjustment to the record to use my sense of
- 27:08Speaker 3: honor to take away my choice. But I sort of
- 27:12Speaker 3: flinched away from having to confront her, and I said
- 27:17Speaker 3: I'd mentioned her to Jasper.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Gwinn says, girl, it's not that serious, Like, I'm like,
- 27:25Speaker 1: what are you even saying? Now?
- 27:29Speaker 3: Out Jasper, Gwynn changed her name to just Gwinn. Was
- 27:34Speaker 3: she her pronouns? And around then I had a reaction
- 27:39Speaker 3: like knew it? And Terry had the reaction, thank god,
- 27:45Speaker 3: you stop slandering the name Jasper, because my Jasper is
- 27:50Speaker 3: fabulous and not unique.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Jasper's a goat for those that don't know. But yes,
- 27:56Speaker 1: Jasper is amazing. Also, I wonder if on the boat
- 28:02Speaker 1: is SiZ made Gwen call her captain fucking obvious.
- 28:06Speaker 6: I hope, I hope that is the kind of power
- 28:12Speaker 6: move you make when you've read one leadership blog and
- 28:15Speaker 6: decided mutiny is just negative feedback.
- 28:18Speaker 4: That's right.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I introduced Gwinn and Jane one time. When I
- 28:27Speaker 3: got back to the boat, I found Gwenn had invited
- 28:30Speaker 3: Jane over. Gwenn was wearing stylish new clothes, so was Jane.
- 28:36Speaker 3: They were looking at each other in a very distinctive way,
- 28:42Speaker 3: long gazes more that I forgot.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I bet Flutterish I was using her mind control power.
- 28:50Speaker 4: So she introduced them, and the next time she saw them,
- 28:56Speaker 4: they were dressed like the opening number of a musical.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Like for a second, I bet ziz could hear Fluttershy
- 29:03Speaker 4: whisper it is time.
- 29:09Speaker 3: I mean, at least they got dressed ups in stylish
- 29:12Speaker 3: new clothes, right.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Jane sounds fun, sounds like her and Gwen are having
- 29:18Speaker 1: a fun time. And Sis is like, I'll notice anything.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Sounds like she dressed up like a pirate.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Hey, dare you I hear you off with his head?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Off with his head, Yes, my little house shook. Okay anyway, Yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 3: it's getting crazy out there. Jane asked if I notice
- 29:50Speaker 3: what's changed about both of them? About Gwenn, I forget.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I asked if they were in a relationship. Jane said
- 30:00Speaker 3: something like no use silly. Gwynn transitioned and pointed out
- 30:06Speaker 3: her clothes. One of them talked about how they had
- 30:10Speaker 3: been doing water bending stuff about emotional support, and this
- 30:15Speaker 3: had given them the ability to do that.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I know, that's what I use my water bending powers for.
- 30:25Speaker 1: For sure.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I can't tell what I used mine for.
- 30:32Speaker 4: There. I'm very busy. How do you think babies are born?
- 30:38Speaker 4: I just bend the water and all right, so they're
- 30:41Speaker 4: followed a quote Getting to Know each Other and our
- 30:46Speaker 4: designs for the Rationality Community conversation, Jane said social status
- 30:52Speaker 4: was really important. Seemed to think it controlled mostly everything,
- 30:56Speaker 4: that there was a natural way for it to be
- 30:59Speaker 4: distributed to incentivize good behavior, and this is what happened
- 31:03Speaker 4: if it was regulated subconsciously. She mentioned a book Practice
- 31:08Speaker 4: at Contact Practice, at Contact improv and Playing High and
- 31:13Speaker 4: Playing Low. She said people in the rationalist community were
- 31:17Speaker 4: starting to adjust their status laden behavior consciously. She later
- 31:22Speaker 4: gave the chair imposture as an example that this was
- 31:27Speaker 4: dangerous and needed to be fought before it completely destroyed
- 31:32Speaker 4: the fabric of the community more than it already had.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, that sounds very serious. JT. So because
- 31:41Speaker 1: I can't visualize things in my head. I'm going to
- 31:45Speaker 1: need you to demonstrate your best chair aposture post army.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Yes, if I do that, it's gonna be like watching
- 31:55Speaker 4: wet laundry, try to do ballet, or ham trying to
- 31:59Speaker 4: do yoga, or it's like soft poor for scolio.
- 32:03Speaker 3: You don't want it, I'm here for it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: It would be too dangerous to look beautiful. Look how
- 32:13Speaker 1: dangerous that is going to destroy everything we know.
- 32:19Speaker 4: I've never wanted to go back to this blog more.
- 32:21Speaker 4: This could be done by training people to see when
- 32:26Speaker 4: someone was overstepping the natural order as she could, and
- 32:31Speaker 4: using conscious tricks to increase their status and them. I said,
- 32:37Speaker 4: I thought this was a terrible policy to make things
- 32:40Speaker 4: allowed only if they were unconscious. This incentivized destroying your
- 32:45Speaker 4: own introspection to make your attacks allowed. At some point,
- 32:50Speaker 4: I habitually made a Darth sidious impression croaking to Gwen,
- 32:55Speaker 4: my young apprentice. Jane said, I will hold on.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I got a c they were in their match for
- 33:02Speaker 1: you would be There's gonna be a lot of.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Uh. Jane said, I was consciously grabbing more status.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Than I just needed to be bunny.
- 33:20Speaker 4: This is this is literally the fan fiction no one
- 33:24Speaker 4: asked for. I didn't ask for the original story. I
- 33:29Speaker 4: sure as hell didn't ask for the fan fiction of
- 33:31Speaker 4: the story. She shouted something I forget was it fuck
- 33:37Speaker 4: you at me with a whole lot of bile in
- 33:41Speaker 4: her voice. Somehow it actually hurts, especially as right after
- 33:46Speaker 4: she returned to apparently civil tones and said there, I'd
- 33:51Speaker 4: be punished, punished you.
- 33:55Speaker 1: She has a feeling it hurt her one feeling. Gwen's
- 33:58Speaker 1: one feeling was herd.
- 34:01Speaker 4: She used her one feeling and she's all out of
- 34:03Speaker 4: feeling that.
- 34:04Speaker 3: She's done yep. Soziz and Jane's conversation turned to their
- 34:11Speaker 3: shared distaste for certain rationalist leaders. According to Zizz, Jane
- 34:19Speaker 3: referred to them as fire bending doms and accused them
- 34:24Speaker 3: of gatekeeping AI alignment.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Jane, that's that's true of all the fire bending doms
- 34:32Speaker 1: I've met in my life.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a. It's a. It's a it's a lot
- 34:37Speaker 4: of heat, very little light, and an absolutely unearned confidence
- 34:41Speaker 4: in both epistemology and rope work.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Look at these guys in the picture. Those are fire
- 34:47Speaker 1: bending doms.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Got I mean they you know what, you have to
- 34:53Speaker 4: be able to make a fire first before you can
- 34:56Speaker 4: bend it.
- 34:57Speaker 3: That's what I was thinking.
- 34:58Speaker 4: The there's no fire. Literally, there's no fire in loins.
- 35:03Speaker 4: No fire is being created.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Unless they're creating the fires from their back end of
- 35:12Speaker 3: their bomb and releasing poisonous fire guests.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Second burrito that second, yes, No, that's monkeys. Monkeys would
- 35:23Speaker 4: do that.
- 35:23Speaker 1: That's now.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Sorry, guys, the dogs are barking, the.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Captain said. The raw masculinity. It is just it's just
- 35:34Speaker 4: dripping from your screens right now. I know it is
- 35:37Speaker 4: in your phone. They can't handle it. So hopefully somewhere.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I'm hoping everybody is gordon their loins. I mean, you
- 35:44Speaker 3: can't reguard those use. Let me tell you, I'm getting
- 35:49Speaker 3: a little hot.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Because of the desert. It's the desert.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Learned more about these fire bending.
- 35:57Speaker 3: For example, she thought, if am I R I researcher
- 36:01Speaker 3: Scott Garbrandt wasn't such a dom, there would be three
- 36:06Speaker 3: times as many people with ideas just as good as his.
- 36:11Speaker 3: They joined together in the ancient tradition of mocking other
- 36:15Speaker 3: people's Facebook post oh my God, eventually escalating what are
- 36:38Speaker 3: they doing? Okay, escalating to Jane's accusing Eliser Yadowski the
- 36:46Speaker 3: founder of m R M I R I of dominating
- 36:50Speaker 3: others ideas he needed to be slapped down.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Girl.
- 36:54Speaker 3: That girl was my part. Throughout this passage, Ziz regularly
- 36:59Speaker 3: implies that Jane was being petty and that she didn't
- 37:03Speaker 3: agree with her on many points. Shocking that did not
- 37:06Speaker 3: stop her from participating in the conversation and eventually writing
- 37:12Speaker 3: about them for all to see.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Yeah, typical, typical.
- 37:16Speaker 3: This that's saying sounds like this to me.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Yeah. So in her bloog, she does go on to say, quote,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I updated that my ideological conflict with Jane would make
- 37:31Speaker 1: us enemies in the future, that the preferences revealed in
- 37:35Speaker 1: those distortions made them basically irredeemable. What was it really
- 37:46Speaker 1: out of ideological conflict or was it because she told
- 37:50Speaker 1: you to fuck off and hurt your one feelings?
- 37:53Speaker 3: It's because she told her to fuck off exactly.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that bade.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Nothing. Nothing says intellectual rigor like getting your feeling hurt
- 38:06Speaker 4: and calling it philosophical schism.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, she goes on to say, I talked to
- 38:14Speaker 1: Gwyn afterward. Gwenn seemed to mostly agree with my assessment,
- 38:18Speaker 1: but believe Jane could be fixed. She agreed with me.
- 38:22Speaker 1: The thing about way more Scott garah Brandt level mathematics
- 38:27Speaker 1: was bs and incentives towards unconsciousness were bad. She says
- 38:33Speaker 1: she was helping Jane with her depression.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Felix fix it.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Mean, I like how Gwenn is just like I mean,
- 38:45Speaker 1: I agree with kind of what you're saying, but like
- 38:47Speaker 1: she doesn't seem like that. But this is ready to
- 38:50Speaker 1: declare her a moral enemy. And if this is your
- 38:53Speaker 1: first time to tuning in, this has a lot of
- 38:56Speaker 1: moral enemies and arch nemosis. Okay's people to that list
- 39:00Speaker 1: every day?
- 39:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you look at her the wrong name on
- 39:04Speaker 3: that list?
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yes, yes, In case you were wondering what fluttershe I
- 39:09Speaker 4: must have thought when she read this literally nobody well.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Jay left a comment on this specific blog post of
- 39:17Speaker 4: Zizz and it said such, I agree with the accounts
- 39:23Speaker 4: you've given of me here and in your other recent posts.
- 39:26Speaker 4: This is flettershy Jane. Now, Jay, you were also writing
- 39:30Speaker 4: about the Jay you're censoring a core with meditation, and
- 39:34Speaker 4: you wrote off AI as a cause area to be
- 39:37Speaker 4: safe from ponage by LW and need to evaluate it
- 39:41Speaker 4: on its own merits. Things. As for chronicling fleet history,
- 39:46Speaker 4: there was also a time where I tried to guilt
- 39:48Speaker 4: you into buying my boat on the likely on the
- 39:52Speaker 4: likely false, but I didn't even check assumption you damaged it,
- 39:57Speaker 4: and you actually offered to as a way of having
- 40:00Speaker 4: a social pretense to get rid of me. And then
- 40:03Speaker 4: I got some sort of honor false face and was like, Nah,
- 40:07Speaker 4: you don't have to. And then I sent an aggressive
- 40:10Speaker 4: email to Gwen telling them I wanted to pay them
- 40:12Speaker 4: as little as I could be socially seen to owe
- 40:16Speaker 4: them for unpaid rent for living in their boat, since
- 40:20Speaker 4: there was a gray area on how much I owed.
- 40:24Speaker 4: And to all of this, I say that these people
- 40:26Speaker 4: are unbearable.
- 40:29Speaker 7: So that's it's literally, I mean, Jay's verifying that what
- 40:37Speaker 7: she's saying is totally fine.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Is like, that's crazy to me. That you're like, yeah,
- 40:42Speaker 1: that sounds right, sounds.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Good to me.
- 40:45Speaker 4: I wanted to verbalize my neurovirus. That's it.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I did. Like how she kind of called zez out,
- 40:54Speaker 1: like I know you were just going to do it
- 40:56Speaker 1: to like try to get rid of me. That's funny
- 40:59Speaker 1: because it's true, totally. Ferri says, all right, that's true.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Oh goodness, all right, so she continues on in her
- 41:12Speaker 1: wonderful blog post quote, we saw a big sale cabins
- 41:17Speaker 1: for six, not headspace for me. Inspected many things. It
- 41:22Speaker 1: was moldy as hell, going for ten k, previously three
- 41:27Speaker 1: hundred k of work put into it. Those numbers are weird,
- 41:33Speaker 1: gwyn said. Gwynn said there were two ways of using boats.
- 41:40Speaker 1: You could be a rich idiot, or you could take
- 41:43Speaker 1: advantage of rich idiots, not necessarily in a predatory way.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Gwynn was scouting for a potential housing project. How six
- 41:54Speaker 1: San Francisco programmers in a boat in Richardson Bay that
- 41:59Speaker 1: would be bad ass. Holy shit. Honestly, with the way
- 42:04Speaker 1: that the story plays out, Gwen should have just stuck
- 42:06Speaker 1: with the breeding super intelligent dog plans she had in
- 42:10Speaker 1: the last episode. It probably would have been cheaper than
- 42:13Speaker 1: what's gonna happen with them. Now.
- 42:16Speaker 4: My favorite thing about this is that she goes, there
- 42:19Speaker 4: are two ways of using boats. I'm gonna give you
- 42:23Speaker 4: two things, and they have nothing to do with boats,
- 42:31Speaker 4: unless I mean boat is code for rich guy, which
- 42:34Speaker 4: in that case fine, whatever, but at least like mean
- 42:37Speaker 4: what you say.
- 42:38Speaker 1: It's really like even if you take the word rich
- 42:40Speaker 1: out of it. It's idiot, all right. You could be
- 42:42Speaker 1: an idiot. You could take advantage of idiot of idiots
- 42:46Speaker 1: and guess what, You're gonna end up an idiot because
- 42:48Speaker 1: this doesn't work out for anybody.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Child I learned from Wharton has a who or here's
- 42:55Speaker 4: a who. You know, say what you mean, mean what
- 42:57Speaker 4: you say.
- 43:00Speaker 1: So she goes on to say the name on the
- 43:03Speaker 1: transom was the Rapture, which is very fitting for a
- 43:07Speaker 1: group hoop. Thanks, the world is coming to an end
- 43:11Speaker 1: one and faded paint. I joked, if we bought it,
- 43:15Speaker 1: we could refresh the paint, then cross it out and
- 43:17Speaker 1: write the singularity hilarious, hilarious? Is you are so fucking funny?
- 43:26Speaker 1: Hilarious quote. I guess black Swan would be a cool
- 43:31Speaker 1: name for a sailboat too, especially if you could dye
- 43:35Speaker 1: the sails black fucking little edge or she is, oh geez,
- 43:44Speaker 1: you know what is hilarious?
- 43:45Speaker 8: Uh?
- 43:46Speaker 1: For the whole fifteen people that are watching that even
- 43:48Speaker 1: know about this is this slide if you know, you know.
- 43:54Speaker 4: You know, yeah, naming a it's like naming your room,
- 43:59Speaker 4: Bud Stoevsky. It's dramatic. Self important, guaranteed to capsize emotionally.
- 44:05Speaker 4: This your train of thought is showing cover that ship
- 44:08Speaker 4: up until it arrives at the station.
- 44:11Speaker 3: I mean, you could name your roomba Rosie like I
- 44:14Speaker 3: did after the Jetson's housekeeper.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Oh that's clever. I like that. I'm going to go.
- 44:23Speaker 4: When the robus rise up and your room book comes
- 44:26Speaker 4: to see you in bed and goes, yeah, real, real
- 44:29Speaker 4: original terry, real original time to clean you up.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Hey, if she just cleans in the right area, I'm
- 44:37Speaker 3: okay with it.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Oh, I got I got something for our chat. Or
- 44:41Speaker 1: if you're in the rooflay flute crew, you can leave
- 44:44Speaker 1: a comment in the comments section. But like, if you
- 44:47Speaker 1: had a boat, what would you name your boat? I
- 44:50Speaker 1: want to see these clever answers, so put those in
- 44:52Speaker 1: the chat.
- 44:53Speaker 4: Well I had the name.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Of my boat. Does not everybody have a name of
- 44:57Speaker 3: what they're going to name their boat?
- 45:00Speaker 1: I think it might be.
- 45:01Speaker 4: It's so out of the realm of believability of me
- 45:05Speaker 4: having a boat. I've never even considered.
- 45:07Speaker 3: The question, Well, we won't answer my boat name. I
- 45:11Speaker 3: won't know your name, Miss mess, Miss Mess.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I like that.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I like that.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Raw Josie because we called her miss Mess, and we
- 45:23Speaker 3: always said if we had a boat, we would name
- 45:25Speaker 3: it miss Mess because he wouldn't let me name it
- 45:29Speaker 3: anything pink, So you know, well, yeah, but.
- 45:32Speaker 4: That's not the whole boats, so you can't call it.
- 45:35Speaker 4: It's too on the nose.
- 45:37Speaker 3: I wanted to call it a pink taco, but after
- 45:45Speaker 3: the restaurant in Vegas, get your minds out of the gutter, people, right,
- 45:49Speaker 3: it's the name of a restaurant. Sure, I'm sticking with
- 45:54Speaker 3: that now. Ziz ended up buying a smaller cell boat
- 45:59Speaker 3: that she found four six hundred dollars in, naming it
- 46:05Speaker 3: the Black Signet, which is a baby black Swan.
- 46:10Speaker 1: In case she didn't know, spoiler alert, she does not
- 46:14Speaker 1: die the sales black. She's such a fucking disappointment. I mean,
- 46:20Speaker 1: she doesn't do it. Come on, yeah, I mean.
- 46:22Speaker 3: She could have at least gotten kind of spray paint
- 46:24Speaker 3: and spray painted on black. I mean two bucks, So.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Just put a black Swan on it. I mean, chances
- 46:32Speaker 4: are she'd want to be off the ship quicker than
- 46:33Speaker 4: anything if there's but whatever.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Yeah, now, the Black Signet, it was too small to
- 46:41Speaker 3: stand up in, but it had two beds and got
- 46:45Speaker 3: her out of living with Gwenn and Jane, who had
- 46:48Speaker 3: seemingly moved on to the islander as well. Now Gwyn
- 46:53Speaker 3: helped her make the purchase and move the boats, since
- 46:56Speaker 3: she was much more experienced in the subject. Is seemed
- 47:00Speaker 3: surprised that she was expected to move the boat from
- 47:05Speaker 3: the seller's property.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Shot pikachs.
- 47:11Speaker 3: And I mean, if you buy a car, you have
- 47:15Speaker 3: to take it from the car lot, right, you would
- 47:19Speaker 3: think you?
- 47:21Speaker 4: Yeah? The initial well remember when when had two things
- 47:24Speaker 4: to teach you about boats?
- 47:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Now shocked to everyone, the initial move
- 47:34Speaker 3: of the boat didn't go smoothly. Oh no, they thought
- 47:39Speaker 3: they ran out of gas and anchored by the Bay Bridge,
- 47:42Speaker 3: waiting for enough win to continue on to the Alameda.
- 47:48Speaker 4: It's this is this is epic. It's it's not honesty epic.
- 47:54Speaker 4: It's more Gilligan's Island, but like burning Man adjacent.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:07Speaker 4: I started planning to outfit it to live on even
- 48:12Speaker 4: anchored in Richardson Bay where it wouldn't cost anything no
- 48:15Speaker 4: more rent. Finally be able to cool down and think
- 48:18Speaker 4: without money burning up?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Oh man, how much time does one really need to think?
- 48:25Speaker 1: I feel like too much thinking is what got us
- 48:28Speaker 1: here tonight is I don't think you should have spent classic.
- 48:34Speaker 4: It took the guy on the stage years back and a
- 48:36Speaker 4: couple of presidential elections to say the rent's too damn high.
- 48:39Speaker 4: That's it. That's all you need. It's all you need
- 48:41Speaker 4: is end the story, all right. So Gwen recruited me
- 48:45Speaker 4: and Jane to a project basically try and get the
- 48:48Speaker 4: rationality community to be on boats. What overrode my reluctance
- 48:55Speaker 4: to work with Jane? I noticed things were moving faster.
- 49:00Speaker 4: This seemed more like the plot line than they had
- 49:04Speaker 4: in my life previously. Maybe following when's crazy idea would
- 49:07Speaker 4: be the answer to the problem where whatever I expect
- 49:10Speaker 4: to try, I just expected it will be too slow
- 49:12Speaker 4: for me to save the world.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Yeah, too slow to world?
- 49:19Speaker 4: Too slow. I would rather get into whatever trouble this entailed,
- 49:24Speaker 4: then turn away from this glimmer of things not making sense.
- 49:28Speaker 4: According to the old inescapable feeling analysis, always doomed and
- 49:31Speaker 4: never know what this morning fast blowing all the walls
- 49:35Speaker 4: out of the problem. Thing I didn't understand meant or
- 49:39Speaker 4: could have been.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Bravo for that hyphenation sentence that I don't even understand
- 49:48Speaker 1: what the fuck she is.
- 49:49Speaker 4: I read through that and I immediately wanted to, like
- 49:51Speaker 4: read the side effects of a drug.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm like sitting here going, uh, I can't.
- 49:58Speaker 3: I just don't.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I mean, does anyone Does anyone understand what the hell
- 50:03Speaker 1: she just went on about? Because I don't. And I
- 50:05Speaker 1: guess that's what we all get for not having enough
- 50:09Speaker 1: thinking time.
- 50:11Speaker 3: That is true.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Listen, I just I don't have enough oxytocin. I don't.
- 50:17Speaker 4: I don't have oxytocin. I got nothing.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Oh anyway, so she goes on to
- 50:31Speaker 1: second quote. We called it rationalist fleet. Someone suggested rat fleet,
- 50:40Speaker 1: abbreviating rationalist rat It was a meme that the humble
- 50:47Speaker 1: people in the community liked. I didn't like the political
- 50:52Speaker 1: force of quote, not rationalist aspiring rationalists. Quote seemed to
- 51:00Speaker 1: anti correlated with actually trying correlated with trying to fit
- 51:05Speaker 1: in with muggles. Are they fucking wizards now too? I mean,
- 51:11Speaker 1: I don't know about you, guys, but Ziz gives me
- 51:13Speaker 1: major squib vibes at major twib over.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Here, callings the squib is funny and truly perfect. But
- 51:24Speaker 4: I think that's giving her too much credit. She's really
- 51:27Speaker 4: more like a wand shaped stick. Someone picked up an
- 51:31Speaker 4: alarp and insisted it was humming with latent pour.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Okay, so she goes on to say,
- 51:41Speaker 1: we rejected. We rejected the name Bay Area Rationalist Fleet
- 51:50Speaker 1: because of the acrony.
- 51:55Speaker 3: I mean, I have to just say, I think that
- 52:02Speaker 3: barf would be an excellent acronym for them, because they
- 52:07Speaker 3: make me want to bar frequently.
- 52:10Speaker 4: I think that they should be called terminally woke and tiresome.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Says, is such a twat.
- 52:26Speaker 3: I do think this is a swat. I love that,
- 52:31Speaker 3: I do.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I do. Anyway, that was fantastic. So she goes on
- 52:39Speaker 1: to say, we talked over the economics. Marinas had a
- 52:43Speaker 1: legal limit of a certain percentage of boats that could
- 52:46Speaker 1: be live aboards in the bay. This was per boat.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Large ships were very cheap. Then perhaps we could get
- 52:55Speaker 1: the rationally the rationality community, or most of it, or
- 52:59Speaker 1: the good parts to sail away from the Bay Area
- 53:03Speaker 1: for good. So like an intentional community, which those almost
- 53:12Speaker 1: never turn into calls that almost never happens, just as
- 53:18Speaker 1: harmon m mine community creator, I just.
- 53:24Speaker 3: Hear the song in my hair my hair in my
- 53:27Speaker 3: ear sail away.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I mean, with the way they're talking, you probably do
- 53:33Speaker 1: hear things in your hair. With everything we're hearing.
- 53:36Speaker 3: Maybe that's.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Way.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 53:45Speaker 1: So she goes on to say, quote, so much talk
- 53:49Speaker 1: on the community of how we should leave, but we
- 53:52Speaker 1: can't because everyone else won't. And this is the only
- 53:55Speaker 1: shelling point. So much talk I'd heard earlier the bay
- 54:00Speaker 1: eating people, and I'd been happy to come because it
- 54:05Speaker 1: meant being around lots of rationalists. But now that rent situation,
- 54:10Speaker 1: it caused so much damage.
- 54:14Speaker 9: Yeah, I know, I'm like, oh my gosh, but I
- 54:21Speaker 9: mean they began to search for usable boats that could
- 54:25Speaker 9: house their fleet, sometimes.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Butting heads over what was worth buying, and guys, do
- 54:31Speaker 3: you know it just popped into my little miniscal brain.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Fleet is also an enema, and so they were sometimes
- 54:40Speaker 3: butting heads. Fleet is the name of an enema. Sorry,
- 54:45Speaker 3: I've had too much wine. It's the name brand for anemos.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Do you do it? Oh, well, they should name their
- 54:52Speaker 3: boat fleet.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I think it's it.
- 54:56Speaker 4: It is bad enough trying to find a house with
- 54:59Speaker 4: a bunch of people, a bunch of rationalists fighting over
- 55:02Speaker 4: what boat to buys, like virgins arguing over stroller brands.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Man, what I wouldn't have give to be in those conversations.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I know, Oh my goodness.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Now me and Jane were starting to dislike each other
- 55:28Speaker 3: more and.
- 55:29Speaker 1: More as mortal enemies do.
- 55:33Speaker 3: I mean, I tried authentic, relating comprehensive stuff did not help.
- 55:41Speaker 3: I tried talking to an arc person. No matter how
- 55:45Speaker 3: I tried to talk to them, they sort of fillerbustered
- 55:49Speaker 3: with assertions that I was a dom that I was
- 55:52Speaker 3: dominating them, dominating Gwynn.
- 55:57Speaker 1: What and don though, like fire them in water building when.
- 56:04Speaker 4: There's only four really four options.
- 56:07Speaker 1: So but it probably didn't help because she like what
- 56:13Speaker 1: she heard, people like you suck and you're a dick
- 56:18Speaker 1: to people.
- 56:20Speaker 3: So yeah, Now Eric Brulant is not the same person
- 56:25Speaker 3: as Gwen's ex, but was a potential investor Gwynn had located,
- 56:30Speaker 3: also involved in several other housing projects. Said our projects
- 56:35Speaker 3: seemed like it could work. Gwinn had the munchkin Jan
- 56:40Speaker 3: had the noticing when people were hurting and helping them,
- 56:45Speaker 3: and I forget what he said I had.
- 56:51Speaker 1: How convenient I'm gonna go with it. Something that made
- 56:54Speaker 1: says not feel special enough so it's hilarious. Now I
- 57:00Speaker 1: want to sidebar just real quick before we go back
- 57:03Speaker 1: into the blog here. So I'm gonna talk real quick
- 57:09Speaker 1: about Eric Brulant. So I didn't even know this until
- 57:14Speaker 1: last night when Kapin sent this to me. That's how
- 57:17Speaker 1: crazy all of this story is because we're still finding
- 57:20Speaker 1: stuff every day. Okay, but anyway, so we're not sure
- 57:27Speaker 1: if it's investor Eric or ex Eric. And honestly, how
- 57:34Speaker 1: many Eric brillanced Eric, How many Eric Brulance could there
- 57:41Speaker 1: really be in this area at the time of twenty seventeen.
- 57:45Speaker 1: But so we found a twenty nineteen article from the
- 57:49Speaker 1: San Francisco Gate where an Eric Brulant got sentenced to
- 57:54Speaker 1: five years in prison for a twenty seventeen attempted murder
- 58:01Speaker 1: on a Mental Health division employee in a Whole food
- 58:06Speaker 1: sparking lot.
- 58:08Speaker 4: Definitely him on him. I was not sold until Whole Foods.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Wait, Whole Foods got me sold, which currently in the
- 58:18Speaker 1: timeline that we're talking about on the show is twenty seventeen.
- 58:22Speaker 1: So around the same time this Eric, whether it's investor
- 58:25Speaker 1: Eric or ex boyfriend Eric, will soon be getting arrested
- 58:29Speaker 1: for an attempted murdered case. Right anyway, Now you may
- 58:32Speaker 1: be like, well, how do you know it's in any
- 58:35Speaker 1: way related to either one of these people? All right,
- 58:37Speaker 1: So this particular Eric, criminal Eric, we'll call it criminal Eric,
- 58:42Speaker 1: was born and lived in the UK, but came to
- 58:46Speaker 1: the Bay Area on a short term visa to work
- 58:50Speaker 1: at a startup related to effective altruism.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Still more sold by the whole foods than that.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Sounds familiar, right, So we're pretty sure that it is
- 59:04Speaker 1: one of these people. Now, this Eric, criminal Eric had
- 59:10Speaker 1: serious mental health issues and apparently was experiencing a psychotic
- 59:16Speaker 1: break when this happened. But at this point, knowing what
- 59:21Speaker 1: we know about how this all turns out for everyone,
- 59:26Speaker 1: we really need to start questioning what is going on
- 59:29Speaker 1: with these altruistic rational people and groups, because I feel
- 59:34Speaker 1: like the percentage of people who end up having mental breakdowns, chemists,
- 59:39Speaker 1: suicide and murdering people is too high of ratio for
- 59:45Speaker 1: what is not really a high number of people.
- 59:50Speaker 4: One and I didn't even just in my head. One
- 59:54Speaker 4: if you have to constantly say that you are a
- 59:58Speaker 4: rationalist and altruistic not and and two in reference to
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: Captain finding this stuff, where was Captain when one needed
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: to find out where the Carmen san Diego was, and
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: and she has. She has let me know, captain has
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: let me know. Oh I found that bitch, So yeah.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: She did. We are an excellent team of researchers. We
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: will eventually find this.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: I said, say, we will eventually find things.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Yes, eventually, all right. Continuing on, we were to decide
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: project organization. Would this be a business, a nonprofit cult?
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: A cult?
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: Who what could own boat? I was? I think it
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: was Jane that raised the idea my boat was common property.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: I said no. I said, we should let the individual's
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: own boats set their own terms for interacting with the
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: rationalist fleet. I convinced the other two of this.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Do you think this says? Says? You have saying Hermie
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: control of ours?
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: Have you ever seen that sketch on SNL with the
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: Californians where they're like, nah, start God? Have you ever
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: seen the sketch?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: How I imagine I have never seen SNL? Never what I
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: have never seen SL?
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think you need to be a
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: big fan, but like never not even like one.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: That's a flip parent there, But that's okay. Just want
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: child to know I'm not part of the SNL cult.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I'm not judging I would. I would not consider myself.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: I'm not an active watcher, all right. So so boat
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: purchases would be by single people or groups of people whatever.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: That for all the stuff involving multiple boats we'd planned,
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: our group would be the shelling medium for organizing it.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: This this is really reminiscent of a group of college
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: students trying to put together a club, except the college
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: students are toddlers. Yeah, so what of leadership project structure?
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: I suggested we make Gwen the dictator. We agreed to.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: We agreed unanimously. That meant no power for Jane, and
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: I'd rather have that than more power for myself. The
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: trick was, I figured Gwen was good and Jane not.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: So this was maximizing the control that Good had. This
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: is this is the whiz or the this is.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I think I think you know it does, says me.
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: And maximizing the control that she Yeah, and like you're
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: gonna start a group and the first things, like you
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: know what, whoever's in charge, we're gonna call them the dictator.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: But people are free to go about and participate however
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: they want. It's this freedom rationalist speech. But whoever's in
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: charge is a dictator. Also, I think that she put
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Gwynn in this position because I have met people who
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: they don't want to be the face of things, so
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: they try to control who is in charge, even though
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: they're really the ones in charge. And I think that's
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: what is pulling here, and how predictive to be like,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: fuck you, Jane, all right, I'm not gonna get it either,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: because that's how much I don't like you. We're both
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: gonna lose, and I don't think so. I think. I
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: think Ziz has a lot knows that she has a
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: lot more influence over gwyn and can use that to.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: How does this work? When the boat I mean, it's
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: the two of them a boat, and what if they
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: end up turning into a dragon and pony? Who's gonna win? Like,
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: like what you like? A dragon and my little pony
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: walk into a bar? And I don't care about the
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: rest of the joke because that's enough of one.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, all right, where is this story? Well?
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Apparently talking to people.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Yeah, so quote was talking to people in the rationalist community,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: rapidly attracting attention for being cool but didn't have a
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Facebook account, because you know, how cool can you be
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: if you don't have a Facebook account. I know I don't.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I have no social media guys, because I am.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: You literally have a parrot on your shoulder called pickle tits.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: I don't, No, let me.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Tell you something of you. I do think Gwen is
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: way fucking cooler than SiZ. All right, I want to
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: hang out with Gwen. Gwen, I want to hang out
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: with you. Let's talk about your weird ideas.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: And you know, I just had a thought of something
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: people could put in the chat as we go throughout
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: this series. They can say kind of like what the
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Sex and the City girls, everybody's like, I'm Samantha, I'm Charlotte,
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: I'm Carrie. Maybe they can sign us one of these people.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Which zizzyan are you like buzzy quiz?
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: That is one of those quizzes I would never do
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: because every time I'd have to watch a one minute
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: ad just to get to the answer, and I just
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: every time it's just not worth it. It's just it's
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: just not worth it.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Alrighty.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: So she goes on to stay some people talking about
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Slate Star Codex nap of the rash unless rationality community
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: mentioned us. This led to me talking to a rationalist
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: named Dan Powell. We're laying technical knowledge from Gwynn. Gwenn
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: thought I was working miracles because I decided we should
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: not be salesy to them. Just see the straightforward truth
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: of what we were thinking, miracles people, Miracles is performing
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: miracles by just having a conversation. Charlie, you are. I'm
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: gonna say it right now in front. Amy is fired. Okay, fired.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Well I'm going to just have to go out on
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: the limb and say, Amy, I got your back. I
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: was thinking the same.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: It's the pickle tits, but it is.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: A way better cult leader than fucking CITs.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: You would be a great cult leader.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. So the map, that's a good question.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Can we agree that map? Back up? Amy, I don't
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: understand the map. I was thinking the other day when
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I saw this that when I was on Reddit, I
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: had searched ziz and I did come across the group
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: called the Slate star Kodecs who had commented on them,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: but I never looked into them. But apparently there's this
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: whole interactive map we didn't get into it, But listen,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I'll make a deal with you if you guys leave
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: comments under this video that you want to know more
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: about this rationality map. Leave a comment, and maybe I
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: might make an episode to talk about it.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: The title of this map is the blogosphere technically more
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: of a I can't read that, but I love how
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: In brackets underneath the blogosphere it says technically more of
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: a something.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't a bio go something I don't know,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: but like it has stuff I'm i since I know
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: so much about this case, like I'm like, oh, I
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: know that thing, and I know that thing, but I
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: also don't know what this is. Also another side note,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you guys want to leave comments, all right? Because up here,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: uh well in the back back when anyway says uh
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: up where says Reverend Thomas Bay It says HP Moore.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: By the way, that is a fan fiction for Harry
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Potter in the rationalist community. So if you want to
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: hear us read that gem of a fan fiction, we
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: would comment in under this video and we will anyway,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: heavens to Betsy, Yeah, I haven't read it yet. When
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: it exists anyway, so says goes on to say I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: said something about TDT, which is timeless decision theory. We're
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: not going to get into whatever that means. We'll say
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: that for something else because I don't no. But Glenn
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: may have later said, they've just been too cautious to
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: actually talk. He said, if we found a ship heating
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Paw Paw said, if we found a ship matching certain criteria, criteria,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: he'd be willing to pitch in fifty thousand dollars.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: Come the fuck on again, what what kind of life
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: does one have to lead to be able to pitch
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: you in fifty thousand? Because I flinch when Venmo asked
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: if I want to tip the pizza guy who already left,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: So I just I.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Have better ideas than these people. If you want to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: donate fifty thousand dollars to means and they'd call, say True.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: Crime and Wine Time would be happy to accept your donation,
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: and then we could be here seven days a week.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and we are. That is not going to think.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: No, I am going to say one thing though, I'm
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: not willing to do certain things for that fifty thousand dollars,
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: like murder somebody something like that.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Well, other than that, as we've learned on the show
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: last Thursday. It's only five It's only five thousand. Hire
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: somebody that kills somebody, So it's fine.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Pay me fifty. I can pay somebody five thousand, and
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: I make forty eight five thousand dollars problems, and I'd
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: have to.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: Have a daughter who had a boyfriend, and it's just
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: a whole who had a cousin, who had another cousin
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: who had a friend. It's just.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Now. Gwynn had been looking at a sailboat because why
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: not a thirty six foot lancer called Lee told de
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: la maire, which means star of the sea. But guess
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: what we usually just called it the lancer or just lancer,
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: because Lee told Da leamre's just too dang hard.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: The engine was broken, but Gwynn was confident they could
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: fix it it. Gwenn asked me, there is, but Winn
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: asked me if she should buy it, even if we
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: might switch to a larger ship. They gave me a
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: bunch of little intangible reasons they really wanted to. It
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: was five thousand dollars. Not really knowing the trade offs,
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: I said, go ahead. Big mistake, Big mistake. Gwinn found
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: an ad for a ship, and we went to Seattle
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: to check it out. Now it was a former Coastguard
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: cutter named Pacific Hunter. Now we didn't buy Pacific Hunter.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: We changed course for a tug boat, Caleb and catch
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: you can because the price was dropping.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Look how big that boat is.
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: Sorry, I don't trust nobody with that vote, let alone zeus.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, so I was sent back to help Jane
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: move the Lancer after everything had failed, I mean string
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: of emergencies for one month, Gwen yelling at me, Jan deflecting,
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Marina's deflecting somehow pulling through.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: You know, I am so annoyed that Ziz gives us
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: zero details on Gwen yelling at her, because I want
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: to know what Gwen said, go good for you girls
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: standing up and Jane leaving them for good, because it
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: does seem in all my research that this is the
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: end of Jane's interactions with Gwen and SS. And I
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: want to know why what happened. I bet it has
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: something to do was is also how does some Marina
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: defect like because they asked you to pay some bills
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: or ship like what wars?
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: One day, put on sunglasses, lit a cigarette and said
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: I'm not that kind of marina anymore. I'm off now, baby.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: All right, So here we are in July of twenty seventeen,
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: ziz when and that investor we just mentioned, Dan Powell,
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: decided to purchase. They decided to purchase the Kleeb, which
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: is a ninety four foot World War T two. That
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: photo is from World War two and it still was
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: like a pile of shit.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: It's and it's based on a POS. They need to
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: name it the POS.
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: That's what happens when states don't require state inspections on
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: their cars. What's interesting is that this rights about all
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: sorts of other but apparently ran out of time and
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: only has this to say in regards to the purchase
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: and the fifteen hundred mile voyage on the Kaleb. I
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: recruited crew for Kaleb. We bought it, we repaired it,
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: We drove it down the coast. Dam threatened, physical violence
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: left at the end, left us in boat hell months
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: to dig out, get three damaged sailboats secure prevent Caleb
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: from sinking perpetual ocean machine. Unable to, of course, it
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: seems like an actually interesting story as opposed to the
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: rest of her life. So of course she avoided it
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: and didn't want to talk about it.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: Yeah, now, just yeah, I'm sorry. I wouldn't pay a
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: dollar for that boat. Just say it. It looks like
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: you need to put it out of my fire pit
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: and throw a match on it.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: There's yeah, I just don't. I don't know. I'm like,
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: i've you know, and I've said this before, I think
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: probably on the last episode, but like boat stands for
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: bring out another thousand, right, and that's how I kind
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: of feel like this was like, that's where that phrase
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: came from. This boat right here by the way, Can
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: we can we quickly uh? A producer Amy, Can we
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: quickly go back to the World War or two era
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: photo of the tugboat? This thing looked like ship? Then? Yeah,
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: I don't was your mother? What was it? Tuggan? You
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: know what? Don't answer that question. I don't want to know.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: I don't. I don't. I don't want to know. But
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: we're just gonna keep going.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: You know what interests me about what little she has
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: to say is that, once again, this is blaming it
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: all on somebody else. Right, it's this Dan guy's fault
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: threatened physical violence?
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: Any boy?
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Now, thisz may not have given us the dates in
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: her blog, but don't worry, we gotcha. Goes all right.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: So so this tale is fun. So on July one,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: twenty seventeen, Ziz made the following Facebook posts quote who
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: wants to drive a tugboat from Alaska to the San
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Francisco Bay? Expenses will be covered. Between that and sending
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: out a mass email to people affiliated with CFAR, she
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: managed to recruit a few willing participants. The ragtag crew
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: consisted of Ziz, Gwynn, and Dan Pow the investor, who,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: by the way, was a Navy veteran with general nautical
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: mechanical experience, so a good person to bring aboard here, right,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: as well as well as someone who was a PhD
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: candidate in computer science at UC Berkeley, and some other guy.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: They made their way to Alaska and on July twentieth,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: they set sail to California. Now we're going to play
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: this video that one of the guys made of their journey,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: and we had to cut the music. Do you a copyright?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: But if you guess the song, it is I'm on
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: a Boat by the Lonely Island Boys featuring the One
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: and Only Tea Pain So do you guess that you
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: are correct?
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Anyway, I got my flippy floppies. You have McDonald's flipping
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: burgers and flipping Wow, that's that's not That's not how
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: you do that. I'm not even like a boat person.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: I just know I've seen enough deadly as ketch. This
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: is this is just fascinating. You're pulling the boat in.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: That's because they don't know how to wind up and
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: bounce off. Oh man, oh.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: This goes on for like three reals.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: They don't up.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: You can you guys can see if you can swat this.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: In this videoph dolphins.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: Dolphins were following them because they were like, this is
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: an asshole like we are.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: That's true, dolphins are assholes, but bite your tongue.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: Both of true. It is rude and irons. Well, maybe
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: it's because of the that they were interacting with, because
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: they have not been assholes to me.
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: I mean randomly helping people.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I didn't toping is polite.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: A little dark? Oh god, I mean that on a
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: shirt all right? This is incredible, just incredible. So, like
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: as Captain said earlier, it's like it's a little more
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: t plane in this case, Like it's like t pain
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: in a white T shirt in the finals of a
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: wet T shirt contest where they only use milk.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: Now they looked.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: Up to say, did I tie it off? Right? Nope,
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: I don't do it.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: That's because they only learn two things.
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: Okay, yes, about rich people.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: Yes. So what does this say? What did the sign say?
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: It said I didn't.
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: Fuck a mermaid?
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: Oh? My? Done this? Did it? Really?
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Amy?
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: Can you go back to that sign please?
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: It's forward somewhere along the way. I don't know if
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: you can or not. Yeah.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: I think it's far more towards the end.
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Amy, Oh my god. Probably probably it's okay, it's
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: all right, it's not that's what it said. Is that irma?
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: Which is funny because that's probably I know I didn't.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Ah, you didn't.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Okay, Uh, here we go. Maybe no, I think okay, Well,
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: I'm going to just tell y'all. Powe described zizz as
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: eccentric and overly confident, I mean surprise, surprise, but still
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: figuring herself out, and then her beliefs at the time
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: weren't out of line with the water rationalist community, just
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: maybe taken a bit more seriously. Now this is lack
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: of maturity revealed it soon after they set sail. That's
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: when Pal said that he began to notice major gaps
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: in her plans.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it's I know Ad is looking for this.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I don't like the Mermaid sign.
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: It's coming.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Just a little bit further, That's what she said.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: It's right after this where he ties it and like,
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: oh crap, I did it wrong.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: We're like children.
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: It's coming. It's worth it, It's worth it. It's a
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: really crappy sign too.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, because no, no Amy, go back to that
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: photo because it is imperative that we talk about. That's
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: still of says from the video. Can you guys, SAMs
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: is dressed in her black coke because she's a safer much.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: She's cost playing on the ship and everyone's pulling it.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: She's just said anymore, like I can't even handle this photo.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: You guys know, I find this to be insufferable and
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: this really encapsulates her.
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: Watch, okay, sam.
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: Sammy, I love you, I love you, Sammy.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Look at her. You think she's helping with like her
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: her Jedi mind trip.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: It definitely I like to think that she does this
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: and like tries her hard, but then just farts.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I got a new phone and I haven't set a
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: background or lock screen yet, and I think that this
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: might be my picture because it brings me lost.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: It's them, it's basically her like looking at them going
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: a new celebrity. I can't do snake, but if I could,
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: that's what I.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: Guys all are making me laugh so old, Oh my gosh,
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: we're gonna move on. So this led me to believe
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: that she had established contacts in the bay and that
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: it would be easy for us to at least get
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: a slip if not that one was approved for overnight.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Use.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: And as it.
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: Turns out, there's.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: The sign.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: That's sad face. Indeed, sad face.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: Indeed, oh my god, that mermaid is so thankful.
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: As it turned that's the guy that I look like.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Right, And you all thought I was weird that I
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: came dressed as a pirate. Now that we've seen Zizz dresses.
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: Now and as so early.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: It is, it is so where was I? And as
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: it turns out, when we were coming through the inside
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: passage from Alaska, it was revealed that we did not
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: have a place.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: To Wow what Ziz didn't come through with a plan. Shocking, shocking,
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I think I.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: Think she ever actually came up with a plan. I'd
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: like spontaneously salute Whisper and then immediately burst into flames
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: from the sheer violation of the narrative consistency that would
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: be happening at that moment. Yeah, girl, Well, since we
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: don't know the name of the fifth person on this
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: voyage because they wanted to remain anonymous, we're gonna call him.
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: We're gonna call him Popeye. I feel like, I feel
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: like Popeye on on this ship would be hysterical, just
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: like I am what I am, You am what you are?
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: But what in the seven soggy hells is this polygamous
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: philosophy called forgotten? Popie said that the trip was pretty smooth,
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: with the exception of a faulty sewage system in the
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: only bathroom. Pope, however, uh did have this to say, quote,
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not gonna yeah. Uh. This was a
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: little on the creepy side, but well below the scary threshold.
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: Ziz was just more confident than I thought she had
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: the right to be in a snake costume, and she
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: was abrasive about it.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Honestly, I can't think of a better way to describe her.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: They like nailed it.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: That's I was gonna say, nailed it.
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: Yeah, right there. And at one point Ziz confronted Popeye
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: about being transgender. He said, quote, I am not trans
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: and Ziz was convinced I was. I told her to
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: drop it, and she dropped it. Sadly, Popeye didn't stay
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: for the whole adventure, and after four weeks he deboarded
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: in Washington. I guess they ran out of spinach. Plus
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: not having a sewage system and eating that much spinach
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: probably not a great combo.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Probably. I just love how zo'z is like opening our
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: mouth again, like she's gonna convince someone. Oh gosh, so
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: fucking insufferable. Anyway, So once they arrived at the Pillar
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: Point Harbor and San Francisco, things rapidly started going downhill. Shocker,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: I know, so, Pow said. He departed almost immediately after
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: docking and returned back to New Mexico. He cut ties
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: with both Ziz and Gwynn. Overall, he estimated that he
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: sank tens of thousands of dollars into the project and
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: recouped none quote the entire endeavor seems to have been
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: a total loss. And if there is any one quote
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: that really sums up this entire series, it's really that one.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: It's really really that one.
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: Like I'd be more pissed off about the days of
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: my life that I lost right and.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Put fifty grandy.
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: He said, he does throw it, so you know he's
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: obviously got it laying around. I mean, the fact that
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: he threw the fifty grand and all of a sudden
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: he's on a boat with a sith lord really should
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: have been a clue.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Like this is bad. So the San Mateo County Harbor
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: District actually filed a lawsuit against Gwen im Powell. So
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: the first time the US Coast Guard boarded the tugboat
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: for an inspection, the agency warned Gwen about the dangers
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: of anchoring anchoring the dilapidated vessel, which carried three thousand
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: gallons of diesel fuel and other hazardous petroleum products.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: In that's why it was so cheap, maybe in the bag.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Gwenn even signed papers acknowledging her obligations under the Clean
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Water Act, but neighbors had already lodged complaints about the
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: CALB being docked illegally and storing five hundred doallons of
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: oily bilgy water. The Coastguard called the boat Quote an
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: imminent threat to the public health and ordered the owners
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: to find a mitigation plan rough seas in the Winner
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: of twenty seventeen sent the tug into other anchored vessels
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: and damage them.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: My God, like my kingdom for Phil from the Cornelia Marie,
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: just hearing him, rip them all a new one and
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: damn it. Get the pots ready, like.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, like to call your boat an imminent thread to.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: The shits, get that boat like it's a shit. I'm
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: on a boat and more like in the navy.
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just sitting here counting. Thank god I
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: didn't live in the Bay Area anymore when this was
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: going on, because this is insane, actually insane.
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie. Kind of would have been fun
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: if you did.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: Well, true, it would have been. So now things are
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: not going well for Ziz and Gwynn and whoever else
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: may be staying with them at this time, and one
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: would think that maybe they would throw in the whole
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: rat fleet towel. But guess what, guys, they did no
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: such thing. Instead, Gwynn doubles down and registers two more
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: boats at Pillar Point Hard, including her islander that she
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: and Zip once shared and the Letoila de la maire
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: cew boat we mentioned earlier. Now, Over the next year,
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: the vessels all faced anchor problems and other harbor tenets
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: race concerns that the massive tug boat might ran there.
- 1:31:10Speaker 4: I feel like it's less the boats and more of
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: the person who can't be anchored in reality, Like you
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: have to be.
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Saying they don't have their mind aggers dropped anyway.
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: Now. A former employee at the harbor, who, by the way,
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: wanted to remain anonymous for safety reasons.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: Small one smart.
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: Person describe the Caleb as less than seawether and that
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: its shabby crew was a new sense.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: Adorable.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: That they called them feral humans. We call them they're
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: just living trying to get away with whatever they can
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: under the wire. Most harbors have them harbor rats that
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: are just living the alternative lifestyle.
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: Which is like, honestly, the nicest possible way to say,
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: this is what happens when burning Man overstays its visa
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: and decides to unionize on a thinking boat, and and
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: like if this is the admiral of this rat fleet.
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: Then congratulations, she's the first person ever to lead am
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: airtime movement fueled entirely by vibes Spiitan expired granola. That
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: is hysterical. That got funnier.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: A little bike coming on.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: I love it. That going to I'm going to adopt
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: a rat and dress him up like a scyth with
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: a home.
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: That is adorbs. I need some Just send me that
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: that might need to be printed and put up on
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: my wall.
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: Yes, yes, I think it should be. Uh is that awful?
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: What a fucking nightmare? Yeah? They have created for themselves
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: and everyone around them. And and here's the thing too,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: is like, so, I mean we have like little motor
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: boats and potoons and ahi, like we don't have big
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: sailboats and ship here right, And this tugboat it sounds
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: freaking gigantic, and they Gwynn's guiding this tug boat around it.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Can you imagine? Well, using her mind, that's true, sciss
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: is using her mind, that's true. But like the fact
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: that they were like, we can totally do this.
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: Yeah, what what I mean? There's some confidence there. I'm
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: not sure they should have that confidence, but no.
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: If.
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: If you think this is where the insanity stopped. No, no, no,
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: because Gwen is about to develop sleep tech. Towards the
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: end of Rationalist, Gwen began following a certain course of
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: investigation partial sleep, they told me, and did a presentation
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: at the twenty seventeen Sea Far Alumni reunion about mental
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: tech to let parts of your brain do rem sleep
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: without the rest on a granularity of slots of working memory.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: I don't so like what sharks like the sharks due,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: I don't think the human brain works that way. But either, Okay, Gwen,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: I mean, you know not all of her ideas are bangers.
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: Okay, so do like they do on the Animal Planet channel.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: Yeah, super intelligent, intelligent dog ideas from her.
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: I mean.
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: She could just be way ahead of her time. I
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: mean maybe I'm trying to give her the benefit of
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: the doubt. I'm trying to be kind.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I'm glad she wasn't behind her time,
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: or they'd go, oh witch burn like so Gwen and me,
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: not literally me, but this is continuing on. Gwen and
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: me were living on Caleb Weird, and we were running
- 1:35:33Speaker 4: out of money after our attempt to be uh to
- 1:35:38Speaker 4: be brutal consequentialists and get paid by crabbers to take
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: them out to drop their thoughts. Failed. You remember when
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: you said they were confident, they were confident. I resumed
- 1:35:53Speaker 4: my application process to Google by reminding them that I
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: existed as I had and I had corrects.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: Okay, as a person in HR in recruiting, tell us,
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: tell us that is a red flag, and you mark
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: that person is never interview, never higher because they are
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: batshit crazy.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: That's what you do. You were on the last episode
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: because you were on well, but that is what now
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: that you bring that up that it is one of
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: the things I wanted to ask you, as like an
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: HR person, like how much of this Google interview shit
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: is Like that's not really how things work. It's just
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: that you've stuck and you're weird and crazy and we
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: don't want you. Now.
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: I will say I interviewed with Google one time just
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: because I wanted to see what it was like to
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: go through their interview process. The best thing about the
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: interview was I got a great free lunch because they
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: have the campus and they feed you there and they
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: have their own thing. But other than that, yeah, but
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: that would be don't remind me that you slip through
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: the cracks if you're applying with me, because guess what
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: that means you're in file thirteen crack.
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: Say so Gwen's dad, according to this is apparently a dick.
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: Gwen got a minimum wage job something to do with
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: flowers in Costco and then doing drafting work for their
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: dad more for more, but the work it was is sporadic.
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: Later he would fail to pay entirely.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: Okay, so wait a second, right, So these die hard
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: extreme vagance who believe that all of us who eat
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: me are flesh eating monster Nazis plan to give Crabber's
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: rides to earn money. Heather, Oh, yep, right, way to
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: stick with your principles, guys.
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: Well maybe stick with that.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: List.
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: They are very do you remember, like one of the
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: things for for rationalism or whatever is is that the
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: end of the world's coming. So sometimes we have to
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: go south in order to go north. So what they
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: were nearly crabs. Maybe what they were doing was they
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: were catching the crabs to then save the crabs.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: No other people were doing it and paying them for
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: driving them. They didn't have anything to freaking do with
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the crabs.
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: But but, but if they were driving them, then they
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: would have access to the crabs, so they would save
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: the crabs. It was like a forced Noah's Ark situation.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: I guess you're being very generous. I don't think they
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: give a Actually.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: I'm thinking they thought so either. I think they were
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: thinking it was the kind of crabs you get in
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: your pants, not the kind of crabs.
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Save the crabs, as our everybody put some crabs in chats,
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: as Capin says, yes.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: Sar, crab right, crab right, that's right. Now, y'all are
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: making me hungry because a really good crab would barbecue
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: crab would be amazing.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: Hey, I'm not judging people behind crubs, but I'm just saying,
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: if you're gonna call me a fleshacketing monster not seed,
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: get out of here.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: So it was convenient when they wanted it to be convenient.
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Basically, you could have gone anywhere to get a fucking job.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: But yeah, continue on.
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: So a rift was starting to form between me and
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: Gwyn over money after the cost overruns with boat. Now
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: I had taken out a loan using social capital from
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: trust from reliability that Quinn did not have, and used
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: it primarily to fix their problems.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: Is that generous?
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: So first off, I don't understand what they're saying there,
- 1:40:08Speaker 4: except it sounds like she has a trust No, So.
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: What I gathered from this was that when she's saying
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: I took a loan out using social capital, meaning like
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: taking advantage of the people she knows from trust that
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: she's more reliable than Gwen trust, I think that's you guys.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: By the way, this bad grammar and everything like this
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: is all it is. We copied it like verbatim, so
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: grammar all that that's not her.
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: I've never happier not to understand that, but like how.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Generous of her, you know, And I like how she's
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: still reminding everyone, just like in our last episode that
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: Gwen is a brug bitch, like she just wants everybody
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: to know she's broke bitch. She has three boats now
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: apparently that she's registered, but yeah, we can't all.
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: Have sit robes.
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: I mean, she's she's I don't even know the word
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: for her.
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's sounds so crazy that people trust Ziz
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: and not Gwenn. Whin I know this says that Gwynn
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: was gathering people because of how cool she was.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: She was just a master manipulator.
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: Mm hmm, yeah, yeah, I know.
- 1:41:23Speaker 4: She said, we are the friends you are looking for.
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: Now. They seem to have cognitive strategies and blind spots
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: selected to get people to do this for them. Again
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: and again. I accused them of this and coined the
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: term money vampire.
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: She didn't coin that.
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: Remember, his parents paid for like a bunch of shit
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: as success. Talk about money vampire, yeah, talk about a
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: vampire in general, in my opinion, says it's a fucking vampire.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: She as see Lesa's on to everybody and sucks out
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: everything from them. But anyway, I digress. So this goes
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: on to write, quote say with a straight faced terra. Okay,
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: she says, quote they used high man of work to
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: avoid the topic of money to project false optimism wherever
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: money was concerned to get me to transfer them money
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: Using Mana in everyday conversation is like calling your coffee
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: a potion of clarity, or or your fridge a cold spell,
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: or or a condom a barrier spell. Which it's too
- 1:42:42Speaker 4: bad their parents had a barrier spell. But the pages
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: they read from were hold.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: The sable something else?
- 1:42:52Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: Okay, So she goes on to say, quote, they ate
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: slack from me in subtle ways. When I was working,
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: they'd come near me and whimp her again and again.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: How disgusty to get me to spend days trying to
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: give them a mental upgrade and to give them emotional support.
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: A common theme was gender, whether they really thought of
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: themselves as a woman or not. I said, how I
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: really did think of myself as a woman, despite putting
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: basically no effort into a transition, not passing at all.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: I know celled social reality. They wanted that super Okay,
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: you know it says you put fucking no effort into
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: everything of your life. Okay, it's not a fucking superpower.
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: She is lazy.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: She is like a lazy loser, bare minimum, get the
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: fuck out of hers is. But okay, she goes on
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: to say, they would absorb my full attention for a
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: multi for a multiple day attempted upgrade process. Other things
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: they wanted this for was for them quote becoming a
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: revenant end quote, for them to stop yelling at me
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: for making them look bad by not sticking the landing
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: with Lancer.
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: Such the victim, All right.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: What and also like, what are these mental upgrades? It
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: takes multiple days like yeah, and as what are you
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: even doing with your life's is nothing? Here?
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: Here's what before I get into some of the rest
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: of this day, like mental upgrades see nap. So at
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: one point I sort of took a step back and
- 1:44:48Speaker 4: saw the extent they were using me. I told them so,
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: I was angry. I expressed this, this made us working
- 1:44:55Speaker 4: together in the future a dubious proposition. They became desperate,
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: repentant got me to help with a mental upgrade process
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: about this, According to the script, they said shit went
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: down mentally. They said they fused with their money vampirism,
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: and as a fused agent, they would mind control me
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: in a way that's somewhat but probably less. I said no,
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: I would consider that. I say no, I say it's
- 1:45:29Speaker 4: raining sideways a mental upgrade. I would consider that aggression
- 1:45:36Speaker 4: and respond appropriately. They pleaded, saying they had finally for
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: the first time, probably actually probably actually used fusion and
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: it might not stick and I would ruin it. I
- 1:45:48Speaker 4: said no. They said they'd consider my response aggression and retaliate.
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: What the fuck, Like, what's happening? Oh my god, goodness.
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: They were essentially asserting ownership of me and if they
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: didn't back down. We then had no cooperative relationship what soever,
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: which meant Boat and finance Hell would drag me on
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: for quite some time, be very destructive to me accomplishing
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: anything with my life. I guess I was essentially facing
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: failure death. I don't much care about the difference here.
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: The way.
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: I am feeling her, I love it.
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: I am stop it, stop it all.
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: Have these conversations like with your friends, I do, I
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: do all.
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: The time time.
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: I can't, for the life of me, imagine an honest
- 1:47:03Speaker 4: conversation between any of them at any point. Like, No,
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: I can't. I can't even believe that conversations like this
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: actually happened. Don't. It's not human, it is not There
- 1:47:17Speaker 4: is so weird.
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: I have to tell you, you're so cute to think
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: they even know what honesty means.
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: You knew a group like this? Amy?
- 1:47:29Speaker 10: Uh?
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: What?
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: Amy knew a group like this?
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: I mean, as we've learned, there's like more of them. Yeah,
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: people in this.
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: Could you put us in touch with this group? Maybe
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: they need to come on and edumacate us.
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: Yes, Nope, Nope, I would happily talk about it.
- 1:47:51Speaker 3: We just will not drink anything. They provide to make
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: sure we don't drink.
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: The coudon probably spell h O N. I don't want it.
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: Well, get ready, I said, if they were going to
- 1:48:04Speaker 3: defend a right to be attacking me on some level,
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: entreat fighting back is new aggression and cause to escalate.
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: I would not at any point back down. And if
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: our conflicting definitions of the ground state where no feather
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: retaliation was necessary meant we were consigned to a runway
- 1:48:30Speaker 3: positive feedback loop of revenge.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: So be it.
- 1:48:38Speaker 4: Is this okay, so like we make fun of what
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: she said, but I feel like this is the exact
- 1:48:43Speaker 4: conversation that goes on in the head of Quentin Tarantino,
- 1:48:46Speaker 4: like with himself.
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: Just say it's like, I'm sorry, this is just like
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: what were they? It's kind of like zero, that's funny,
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: very quickly make convert for the whole roommate.
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: Thing, like what just like just to twenty though, because
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: there's no way it's smart enough to get to one hundred.
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: No, but guys, and if that was true, we might
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: as well try to kill each other right then and
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: there in the darkness of Caleb's bridge at night, where
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: we were both sort of sittingly lying under things in
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: a cramped space. I became intensely worried they could stand
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: up faster. Consider the idea for World War one mobilization
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: is tantamount to a declaration of war. I stood up, still, silent, waiting.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: They said. I couldn't see them that they were trying
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: to convey with their body language they were not a threat.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: She's, so, what is happening? You want to fight your
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: best thee to.
- 1:50:05Speaker 3: Death on a boat, Like, what are they to them?
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: You can't do it right.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: She's just sitting there waiting.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: I'm ready calculating, planning, yes, waiting, wanting.
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: It's so crazy. So she goes on to say, I said,
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: this seemed an instant instance of a skill I called
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: unbreakable will, an intrinsic intrismic decision theoretic advantage, broad scope utility.
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: Functions like good like good seem to have indecision theory,
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: which I manifested accidentally during my earlier thoughts on basilisk bathing,
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: sucking mythological basilisk into the Okay.
- 1:51:10Speaker 4: I don't want to be on this boat anymore.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: Long off the plank, I quit the boat.
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: I'm ready to jump off with them I don't care
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: if there's alligators and snakes below, take me, take me.
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: I'm out.
- 1:51:25Speaker 4: So she goes on nothing with this.
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: She goes on to say, quote, they said our relationship
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: was shifting. You think maybe it was. They realized I
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: had more manna and would win if we fought for real.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Maybe a shift in a dominance hierarchy. They said, they'd
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: rather be my number two than fight.
- 1:51:47Speaker 4: Who does number two work for?
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: This is like I like, challenge accepted, Ziz, Let's see
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: who has marmana. Okay, let's go. Let's go bring it on, Ziz.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: What quote quote? I was basically thinking, yeah, same old shit,
- 1:52:14Speaker 4: just trying to press reset buttons in my brain, like
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: I'm repented and this submission script stuff made me uncomfortable.
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: But I remembered the thing, the thing I had said
- 1:52:25Speaker 4: earlier when last talking to Fluttershy about maybe my hesitance
- 1:52:30Speaker 4: to accept power. I finally sort of had a three
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: month without boat problems left and right. I started writing
- 1:52:38Speaker 4: a bunch of pent up blog posts. I was hesitant
- 1:52:42Speaker 4: about publishing them for a mixture of reasons. Indicating I
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: might be interested in filtering people based on the trait
- 1:52:48Speaker 4: of being good would make it harder for me to
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: do so in the future. Now, call it insane from me,
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: but it's an awful lot like light dark and Lori
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: Valo is not so.
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: Much like that.
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: So much, and I like how she keeps saying that,
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: like Quinn is repentant, like to her like what how?
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: Oh oh, Carl, I hate this language so much. And
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: you know what, thank you, thank you, Ziz for writing
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: those these blog posts that you were worried about publishing
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: for a mixture of reasons. We are that reason, so
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: thank you.
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: Thank you for that, guys. Thanks Carl honestly thinks Zizz
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: and Laurie Vallo might be related after recently watching the
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: New Dateline episode of Keith Morrison interviewing her in prison
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: just like a month ago. She kind of sounds like
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: Zizz some of the things she says in here. They
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: might be related in a different life or something.
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: But what what it is that they share in common
- 1:54:04Speaker 4: that makes them very similar to each other is mental illness. Mm, yeah,
- 1:54:15Speaker 4: I mean it it's true. There's something something is not right.
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: Yeah, something's not I don't yeah, I mean people don't
- 1:54:24Speaker 3: quite understand who are very very smart sometimes do have
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: higher mental illness and stuff because they can't understand common
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: things because their brain works at such a superior level.
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: I would not know what that level is, because I
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: don't know what two plus two equals five. But that's
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: what I'm thinking.
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: Listen.
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: This goes on to say I hesitated a bunch before
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: publishing Manna, revealing publicly I had mind control powers might
- 1:54:59Speaker 4: have irreversible bad consequences.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: You guys, I can't even I can't even there, I can't.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: I kept coming to the conclusion over and over over again.
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: People are stupid. That is one thing we agree with.
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: People don't do things with information. But I was much
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: more worried about i e. Evil people ganging up to
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: kill off good people if the information became public. I
- 1:55:35Speaker 4: played the scenario out in my mind a bunch of
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: ways strip away morality, favoring of good baked into language.
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: Good was just the utility function that had a couple
- 1:55:48Speaker 4: percent of the human population as hands rather than only
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: one human. No reason for individual evil socia paths to
- 1:55:58Speaker 4: side against the that really against that really jaill broken
- 1:56:04Speaker 4: good was probably more likely to on her bargains or
- 1:56:07Speaker 4: at least intrinsically interested in their welfare. I released that
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: blog post too. I feel like she's smelling toasts point
- 1:56:15Speaker 4: I'm confused.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: Listen, and I'm gonna say this later as well in
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: the show, but after we're done catching up on all
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: the zizzy and overall, if you guys want us to
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: cover more of Zizzu's blog, is there there you guys,
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: they're there in the future because there are there are
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: quite a few of them. And if you want to
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: learn more about Manna and all of her mental tech,
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: then leave a comment and the comment section of this
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: video below to let me know you want to hear more.
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: And I will happily see what I could put together
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: for everyone, because and there's more.
- 1:56:56Speaker 4: I could only pick one.
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: This is just one blog, as y'all.
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: One in about in about a month, you guys will
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: see we're going to be out on Audible. It'll be
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: blogs read by. It took us a while because we
- 1:57:14Speaker 4: just kept vomiting. Just it was hard. It was difficult, yes,
- 1:57:18Speaker 4: just throwing our equilibrium off. It's just too much of
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: the mind tech and the mental spaces and the lime
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: and the coconut. It was just weird.
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: I left it. My lights went off, as y'all were
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: saying that. I was like, maybe it's Scissu's mind control
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: that made long ago we stared into each other's I'm like, okay,
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: is she in my house? So now we are going
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: to move where Gwynn Andziz meet Maya Passic and here
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: is a little bit about Maya's background. Passic appeared and
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: started commenting on my blog. Their name at the time
- 1:58:02Speaker 3: was Chris Passick. Later changed their name to I Think
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: It's Maya Maya Isaac. Maya later identified as left hemisphere male,
- 1:58:15Speaker 3: right hemisphere female and change Maya to just the name
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: of their right hemisphere. I can't. I can't people and
- 1:58:26Speaker 3: Shine to be the name of the left hemisphere. They
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: never establish a convention for how to call the human
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: as a whole, so I've just been calling them by
- 1:58:38Speaker 3: their last name. Yeah, I.
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: Uh yeah. So, Like it's really hard having a conversation
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: with your family about like coming out as gay or
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: bye or whatever. I can't imagine sitting down with my
- 1:58:58Speaker 4: FA family saying.
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: That there are we going with this.
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: Uh, live your truth, Live your truth. I respect it,
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: but but it seems like a trap. Like it's a trap,
- 1:59:18Speaker 4: Like I feel like you're gonna be wrong no matter
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: what right.
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: And you know, I think this is a fun a
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: fun exercise for the chat while we're reading, Like, why
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: don't you guys leave some comments on what you would
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: name your two halves of the brain. And by the way,
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: this is a ziz theory, is that the brain, it's
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: the female side and the male side completely different. They
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: want to harm each other and kill each other, and
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: it's part of their like fucking mind tech thing that
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: doesn't make any fucking sense to me. It's a whole different,
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: different thing. But why don't you let us know some
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: of what your brain has would be would be in there.
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: It reminds me of Joe Dirt when he goes I
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: got Mike one, Mike two, and they're ready for feedback.
- 2:00:03Speaker 3: It's just, well, I can guarantee you I have a
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: female side and a female side. I mean, I'm all
- 2:00:14Speaker 3: pink sparkles. There is not any masculine male side in there.
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: Oh, and then she also goes into like how one
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: half can be good and the other half can be bad,
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: or they can both be bad, or they can both
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: be good. Spoiler alert. You want to guess who has
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: two good sides? Anybody I want to take a guess
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: who's good? Good? Gotcha?
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: Banu and bad? I will tell you they have to
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: fight each other out. Often they get into a battle.
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: When I get a stab and kill somebody, the other
- 2:00:46Speaker 3: side says, no, you'll get caught.
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah. So so thisiz sends an email to Maya squirrel
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: and out why we don't know? I don't know. So
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: this is emails Maya and she titles us email subject
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: world optimization and or friendship. It's a nice offering.
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: That's a use run adventure kalite delete turning.
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: We're fine with whatever she says, you'll be I don't know.
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: I see you like some of my blog posts, which
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: we all know is a very big deal of whether
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: or not says on stop you. So she says, I
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: see you like some of my blond posts. My true
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: companion go in and I are taking us somewhat different
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: than MRI approach to saving the world without much specific
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: technical disagreements. We are running on something pointed to by
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: the approach quote as long as you expect the world
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: to burn, then change course end quote. We've been somewhat
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: ice related from the rationalist community for a while.
- 2:02:04Speaker 8: I wonder where that is driving a tug boat down
- 2:02:08Speaker 8: the coast from Kitchen, tan Alaska to the San Francisco
- 2:02:12Speaker 8: Bay to turn it into housing, repairing it, fighting local politics.
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: And other stuff. And then the course developed a significant
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: chunk of unique art of rationality and theories of psychology
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: aimed at solving our problems.
- 2:02:30Speaker 4: This this is like the most cogent thing that I've
- 2:02:33Speaker 4: read from her kitten. Like, when I thought about it,
- 2:02:37Speaker 4: it kind of makes sense because she's trying to pull
- 2:02:39Speaker 4: someone in, you know, so before it goes crazy, you know,
- 2:02:44Speaker 4: brings them in. But I do, I do love how
- 2:02:46Speaker 4: Gwen aka broke Bitch Mountain a true her companion.
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: That's fucking hilarious.
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: I mean, I just want to go teach chick.
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: You know. I think, in of our our like two
- 2:03:09Speaker 1: years of knowing each other, that might be the funniest
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: thing you've ever said. I think.
- 2:03:13Speaker 4: I agree.
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: That's fucking hilarious. Oh my god, I face heard so much.
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Anyway, So and this, in case you
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: haven't figured out, he has a recruitment email. In my opinion,
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: so yes, So she goes on in this email to
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: say we are trying to build a cab ball choice
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: word to pursue convergent instrumental incentives, starting with one economical
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: housing the Bay Area and thereby the ability to free
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: large amounts of intellectual labor from wage slavery to Bay
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: Area landlords and the equilibrium where be it unpaid overtime
- 2:04:03Speaker 1: or whatever. Tech jobs take up as much high quality
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: intellectual from an individual as they can in a week.
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: Again two abnormally high quality filtering on the things upstream
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: of the extent to with Mallik STAPs the productivity of
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: groups of two to ten people. Specifically, Mallik has it
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: out for groups of two to ten just in case
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: you're wondering, we want we want to find that's true.
- 2:04:46Speaker 1: We want to find abnormally intrinsically good people and turn
- 2:04:53Speaker 1: them all into Jervaus soucios, creating a fundamentally fundamentally different
- 2:05:06Speaker 1: kind of group than I have heard of existing before.
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: Are you in the Bay Area? Would you like to
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: meet us to hear crazy shit and see if.
- 2:05:17Speaker 7: We like you?
- 2:05:21Speaker 4: Three lash female slash singles slash.
- 2:05:27Speaker 1: Listen.
- 2:05:29Speaker 3: Okay, but that's probably the most honest statement I think
- 2:05:34Speaker 3: I have read.
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: That's true.
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: Would you like to meet us to hear crazy shit
- 2:05:39Speaker 3: and to say if we like you, that is probably
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: the most safe statements.
- 2:05:46Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: You know I believe in giving credit where credit is due.
- 2:05:52Speaker 1: And you know what says you did it girl. You
- 2:05:56Speaker 1: definitely created a fundamentally different kind of group that hasn't
- 2:06:00Speaker 1: existed before. And we heard it talk about it knocked
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: it out of the park, really, and I don't think
- 2:06:06Speaker 1: in the way you wanted to.
- 2:06:07Speaker 3: But here we are.
- 2:06:10Speaker 4: And here's what I say after you say that, I
- 2:06:12Speaker 4: see I see this starting to pull out flavor eight
- 2:06:14Speaker 4: and you being like.
- 2:06:17Speaker 1: Put the flavor AI Back's just like what a wild
- 2:06:24Speaker 1: email world orphization and or friendship?
- 2:06:30Speaker 3: What I would get if I got an email like that.
- 2:06:33Speaker 3: I'm sitting here thinking how would I respond?
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: Right?
- 2:06:38Speaker 4: Oh, here we go. You want to know how it's responded.
- 2:06:40Speaker 4: We're going now, oh, they replied. I think I met
- 2:06:45Speaker 4: Gwen on a Sea Far workshop in February this year.
- 2:06:49Speaker 4: I was just visiting, though I am EU based, and
- 2:06:52Speaker 4: I definitely feel like I've had enough of the Bay
- 2:06:55Speaker 4: for now. I myself in the process of seeing up
- 2:06:59Speaker 4: a rational list utopia from scratch on the Canary Islands. Currently,
- 2:07:04Speaker 4: we have two group houses and are on a steep
- 2:07:07Speaker 4: growth curve, while I recently got funding to do a
- 2:07:10Speaker 4: full time AIS research, so I've got enough stuff on
- 2:07:14Speaker 4: my hands as you can imagine, and I just just
- 2:07:17Speaker 4: to take a pause for a second. All I can
- 2:07:18Speaker 4: see is this reading this going Oh, just like needing
- 2:07:24Speaker 4: a new pair of pants. Yes. Anyways, as for the
- 2:07:32Speaker 4: description of your strategy, it raises some alarm bells.
- 2:07:36Speaker 1: Finally for somebody, somebody being like, what did you just say?
- 2:07:43Speaker 3: Honestly, think about my drink all over myself. Finally somebody
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: says what I've been trying to say for weeks.
- 2:07:51Speaker 4: Especially the part with turning people into Gervais sociopaths. Though
- 2:07:57Speaker 4: I can't tell much without hearing more. Unless any or
- 2:08:01Speaker 4: all of you want to take a cheap vacation fly
- 2:08:04Speaker 4: over here sometime, we probably won't have much opportunity to cooperate,
- 2:08:09Speaker 4: though I would be happy to do a video chat
- 2:08:11Speaker 4: at least and see if we can usefully exchange information. Btw,
- 2:08:17Speaker 4: I appreciate your message, which I think demonstrates a certain
- 2:08:20Speaker 4: valuable approach to opportunities, which could be summarized as quote,
- 2:08:24Speaker 4: grab the sucker while you can, I.
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: Mean list calls it the face. It calls for it.
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: So but oh my god, I will say good job.
- 2:08:43Speaker 3: Now. I did video call with them after giving the
- 2:08:49Speaker 3: camera After giving the camera tour of Kleb, we talked
- 2:08:54Speaker 3: about strategy. I tried to explain the concept.
- 2:08:58Speaker 1: Of good today. Oh hold on, sorry, I wasn't dressed
- 2:09:06Speaker 1: for the occasion. I didn't. I'm sorry, you go.
- 2:09:11Speaker 3: They insisted actual altruism was unimportant and basically the only
- 2:09:16Speaker 3: thing that mattered was do they have any real thought,
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: any TDT at all? Because if they do the optimal
- 2:09:27Speaker 3: selfish thing to do is the optimal altruistic thing to do.
- 2:09:34Speaker 4: That's that's not how any of this works. That is
- 2:09:37Speaker 4: not how any of this works.
- 2:09:39Speaker 1: Like she has to explain the concept of good. Get
- 2:09:45Speaker 1: the fuck out of here, Like.
- 2:09:47Speaker 4: What like I said, if you have to say you're altruistic,
- 2:09:50Speaker 4: you ain't altruistic.
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: No, no, why are you even saying right now? But okay, girl, Oh.
- 2:09:58Speaker 3: It gets better. I described how rashalists Fleet, me and
- 2:10:02Speaker 3: Gwyn ended up doing all the important work, most of
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: the object level labor, but what mattered most was steering,
- 2:10:11Speaker 3: course correction executive decisions. These decisions can only be made
- 2:10:17Speaker 3: by someone who was aligned as an optimizer as in
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: their entire brain ultimately required sociopathy for being unowned by
- 2:10:31Speaker 3: the external world. Yeah, and it's unpawned world, but.
- 2:10:40Speaker 1: Poned did we determined that last episode.
- 2:10:44Speaker 3: Week Pond? I still say it's a pawn.
- 2:10:51Speaker 4: You have to like I read when I read that,
- 2:10:54Speaker 4: all I could think it was like, you have to
- 2:10:55Speaker 4: be a sociopath to stay unponed. But like that's not that,
- 2:11:00Speaker 4: Like that's that's being obvious, oblivious to the reality and
- 2:11:05Speaker 4: unable to read a room. It's it's like, yeah, like
- 2:11:09Speaker 4: you you stay unpooned by you still are even if
- 2:11:13Speaker 4: you can't tell that you are. It's like the whole
- 2:11:15Speaker 4: what makes You Beautiful song from one direction, which I
- 2:11:18Speaker 4: may have said on this this this show before, but
- 2:11:21Speaker 4: like the whole point is that she's beautiful, but she's
- 2:11:23Speaker 4: beautiful because she doesn't know that she's beautiful. So they
- 2:11:26Speaker 4: wrote a song telling her that she's beautiful, so she
- 2:11:28Speaker 4: hears it and knows it and is no longer beautiful,
- 2:11:30Speaker 4: thereby making her not. I'm sorry, I think I just
- 2:11:34Speaker 4: had an aneurysm, but like that's what I'm talking, Like,
- 2:11:38Speaker 4: this is this is that case just because you can't
- 2:11:42Speaker 4: read a room and you don't know how to human
- 2:11:45Speaker 4: doesn't mean you're unponed. It just means you can't read
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: the fact that you are being poned. This is like
- 2:11:51Speaker 4: my coworker.
- 2:11:53Speaker 1: I like how she says that her and Gwen are
- 2:11:57Speaker 1: doing all the important work, and all I can think
- 2:12:01Speaker 1: about is that it's still a shot of where she's
- 2:12:03Speaker 1: just standing in her row.
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: Right there, and they're doing all the work, but she's
- 2:12:08Speaker 3: seen it with her.
- 2:12:08Speaker 1: Mind, Like, okay, and you can only do You can
- 2:12:16Speaker 1: only drive a boat if you are intrinsically good.
- 2:12:21Speaker 3: Look, that's right.
- 2:12:22Speaker 8: Just let you know.
- 2:12:23Speaker 1: Nobody else is capable of driving a fucking boat.
- 2:12:27Speaker 4: Okay, Now she will cut you open to find out
- 2:12:29Speaker 4: if you were internally intrinsically good. Good, that's right now.
- 2:12:33Speaker 3: They said sothio sociopathy. To avoid being pooned. To avoid
- 2:12:40Speaker 3: being pooned was a tough game. Miss one piece of
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: it and you would be pooned. Everyone would try to
- 2:12:47Speaker 3: pone you, they said, they would try to pone me. Okay.
- 2:12:54Speaker 3: I kept mentally going back and forth on whether they
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: were good. Asked if they were a vegan or a vegetarian.
- 2:13:02Speaker 3: I think they said almost a vegetarian for some reason,
- 2:13:07Speaker 3: even though it was stupid, because consequentialism.
- 2:13:12Speaker 4: Mhm, what is an almost vegetarian going?
- 2:13:19Speaker 3: Maybe that's how they got around doing the crab thing.
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: Lives in Poland, apparently almost. I think she probably eats
- 2:13:32Speaker 1: like fish or something like that. I forget what those
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: people are called.
- 2:13:36Speaker 3: That aren't those called pesctarians?
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: Yes, but.
- 2:13:45Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 2:13:47Speaker 1: That consequentialism gets in the way.
- 2:13:52Speaker 4: I'm gonna sum up the rest of these conversations isn't
- 2:13:55Speaker 4: in my head. Maya is working a lot of hours.
- 2:14:00Speaker 4: I suggests making some sort of chat or Facebook group
- 2:14:02Speaker 4: for trans girls trying to save the world, which I'm
- 2:14:06Speaker 4: pretty sure Ziz said that might be something I'd check
- 2:14:08Speaker 4: out once.
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: I think that was the response that, yeah, I might
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: like maybe like.
- 2:14:15Speaker 4: I don't know how badly do you want me there?
- 2:14:20Speaker 1: And bother I'm busy not being poned.
- 2:14:25Speaker 4: Maya's not realizing I'm being poked. Maya talks about how
- 2:14:29Speaker 4: she too, is trying to start a rationalist community and
- 2:14:31Speaker 4: the Canary Islands and recruiting people for that, and at
- 2:14:35Speaker 4: the same time, Zizz is trying to get Maya and
- 2:14:37Speaker 4: A fly from Poland to San Francisco so they can
- 2:14:40Speaker 4: actually talk about things because Zizz didn't trust her electronics
- 2:14:44Speaker 4: to not be recording her at all times. Ropathy. I
- 2:14:47Speaker 4: just like trying to get trying to yeah, just trying
- 2:14:51Speaker 4: to send new pics. Just send me a new pick.
- 2:14:53Speaker 1: That's all right across the world to talk to me.
- 2:14:58Speaker 1: Because what we had to talk about is so fucking important.
- 2:15:00Speaker 1: I think people are.
- 2:15:01Speaker 3: Listening in, like what.
- 2:15:05Speaker 4: What won't go? This won't go?
- 2:15:09Speaker 3: Well, hopefully it go. They wouldn't let her back in
- 2:15:12Speaker 3: the US, so she came back.
- 2:15:17Speaker 1: So she goes on to say very and this is
- 2:15:21Speaker 1: what she says, quote very quickly written summary of rest
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: of stuff. Because again we're great with the words. Pasic
- 2:15:30Speaker 1: thought Gwen was mind controlling me, go toed me all
- 2:15:34Speaker 1: day with maybe I'm with maybe I'm going to never
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: talk to you again. But here's a tidbit of information.
- 2:15:41Speaker 1: Finally revealed the thing. I don't know what that means,
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: and honestly I don't. It's where the Pasic is like
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: the only person that's been like witch taking advantage of you.
- 2:15:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the thing is Ronda Burns the secret.
- 2:15:59Speaker 1: Waiting the secret. Yeah, j The secret isn't some weird
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: like calping I think.
- 2:16:08Speaker 4: It is the secret. Yeah, yeah, it is, yeah, the secret.
- 2:16:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:16:14Speaker 1: So she goes on to say, quote, seeing this, I
- 2:16:17Speaker 1: was like, mind control is everywhere. The only way to
- 2:16:22Speaker 1: break out is to not be attached to anyone. I
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: entered the void and desperation said, you know, dry leaves
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: was the only answer, really if you didn't want to
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: be an oppounding matrix with anyone. It was only particularly
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: visible in my case because I was poned by interaction
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: with one person rather than diffused, and at least Gwyn
- 2:16:46Speaker 1: was independently pulling towards saving the world.
- 2:16:50Speaker 4: I mean to a degree, girl saying, but could have
- 2:16:54Speaker 4: just said, like I found out, I couldn't trust anybody. Therefore,
- 2:16:58Speaker 4: I'm not going to get close to people. So I
- 2:17:01Speaker 4: entered a depression that it was one sentence.
- 2:17:04Speaker 1: Uh mind control.
- 2:17:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm like, oh oh sorry, sorry, sorry, I controlled
- 2:17:13Speaker 4: my own I didn't know I was doing it.
- 2:17:18Speaker 1: So she goes time to say basically, the next day,
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: Pasic became extremely impressed with my overall approach. Boy does
- 2:17:30Speaker 1: she love flattery. I started, I started resisting Gwinn's mind control,
- 2:17:37Speaker 1: Pasic Saul and was satisfied with this. Pasick noticed my
- 2:17:41Speaker 1: thing for what it was psychopathy. That's what she says,
- 2:17:48Speaker 1: you guys, not wrong, her freaking words, her freaking where's y'all? Psychopathy?
- 2:17:56Speaker 3: Psychopathy?
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: Well yeah, okay, and she made this a publicly available book.
- 2:18:03Speaker 3: I know she like, this wasn't a private journal, people,
- 2:18:07Speaker 3: this was not like no.
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: She was going to say, pasic began to see Gwynn
- 2:18:12Speaker 1: as disarmed, as a memonic threat, then to see them
- 2:18:16Speaker 1: as useful. We each went on our own journey of
- 2:18:19Speaker 1: jail breaking into psychopathy. Foolly, So, just so everyone's clear,
- 2:18:28Speaker 1: has self described herself as a psychopath, but is all good,
- 2:18:33Speaker 1: like all good, double good. Remember her two has double
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: good as a psychopath. And let's not forget everybody she
- 2:18:42Speaker 1: is saving the mother FN world, Like, seriously, what in
- 2:18:50Speaker 1: the fuck.
- 2:18:52Speaker 3: In her mind?
- 2:18:58Speaker 4: So quote, Okay, I broke up with my family as
- 2:19:04Speaker 4: one does. Yah, as one does.
- 2:19:07Speaker 10: Uh.
- 2:19:08Speaker 4: They were a place I could, Uh, they were a
- 2:19:11Speaker 4: place I could my mind, not just doing what I
- 2:19:15Speaker 4: thought was the ideal consequentialist thing. Mhm, sorry, I think
- 2:19:22Speaker 4: I like sprained something. My feelings for them, my interactions
- 2:19:28Speaker 4: with them were human, not agentic, never stray from the path.
- 2:19:33Speaker 4: I oh yeah, well, well hold on, hold, hold on
- 2:19:38Speaker 4: to you a lily white butt. It's for the next one.
- 2:19:41Speaker 4: I temporarily went non vegan following left hemisphere consequentialism practice
- 2:19:48Speaker 4: blind attempt to remove every last place where my core,
- 2:19:52Speaker 4: my left hemisphere's core was not cleanly flowing through all structure.
- 2:19:56Speaker 4: You could have said, you just accidentally had a burger.
- 2:19:59Speaker 4: Briefly sab the thought process. I sort of thought as
- 2:20:03Speaker 4: my fun as my phoenix, by convincing her that even
- 2:20:08Speaker 4: beginning to think was predictably net negative. What in the happening?
- 2:20:16Speaker 1: It's your core is not a phoenix right there here?
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: I mean.
- 2:20:23Speaker 4: What I mean, it's a phoenix, but it's like.
- 2:20:27Speaker 1: The phoenix as my animal singularity, just that out there.
- 2:20:31Speaker 3: I just just we need to get a psychologist, a
- 2:20:35Speaker 3: psychiatrist to give us the thoughts on this, because what
- 2:20:42Speaker 3: the actual fuck?
- 2:20:44Speaker 1: I know, that's all you can say.
- 2:20:46Speaker 4: Well, I mean, all the psychologists is gonna say is look,
- 2:20:48Speaker 4: she she's self diagnosed, that psychopath. That's what she isked, like,
- 2:20:53Speaker 4: there's your answer right well, has.
- 2:20:57Speaker 3: Sent me a blog post they had recently published, Decision
- 2:21:02Speaker 3: Theory and Suicide. Me and Gwen and Passeck rapidly developed
- 2:21:08Speaker 3: a bunch of mental tech for the next few months,
- 2:21:11Speaker 3: trying to as a central objective, actually understand how good
- 2:21:18Speaker 3: worked so we could reliably filter for it. Okay, what
- 2:21:26Speaker 3: I don't like, You got a filter for the good. Okay,
- 2:21:31Speaker 3: I'm on board with you, girl. Gwenn rediscovered debucketing, a
- 2:21:36Speaker 3: fact that it has been erased from their mind long ago.
- 2:21:41Speaker 3: Passick was on the edge of discovering it. Independently, they
- 2:21:45Speaker 3: both came to agreement, shared terminology, et cetera. I joined in. Oh,
- 2:21:52Speaker 3: of course, today intense internal conflict between Gwinn's and Passick's
- 2:21:58Speaker 3: hemispheres broke out. I preserve the information before that conflict
- 2:22:04Speaker 3: destroyed it again.
- 2:22:08Speaker 1: Yuy. What do you think it means? When when and
- 2:22:12Speaker 1: PA six hemispheres broke out? Like, is this some sort
- 2:22:15Speaker 1: of like disassociation? Were like, what is happening?
- 2:22:24Speaker 4: They are, I mean what happens is those broke out
- 2:22:27Speaker 4: and then all of a sudden, you've got Terry and
- 2:22:29Speaker 4: me who created a show.
- 2:22:33Speaker 3: That's true.
- 2:22:34Speaker 1: That's true. So she goes on to say, speaking of
- 2:22:38Speaker 1: these hemispheres, in case you guys were wondering, she goes
- 2:22:42Speaker 1: on to say, PA six, Oh jeez, I don't know.
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: I gave myself this these notes. PA Six's right hemisphere
- 2:22:51Speaker 1: had been mostly dead, almost an undead types ontology corpse
- 2:23:02Speaker 1: was female, when in Pasick were both l M r
- 2:23:08Speaker 1: F LOG. I don't know what the fuck that thames.
- 2:23:12Speaker 3: I was d F and d G.
- 2:23:16Speaker 1: Oh, maybe that DG stands for double good. Maybe d
- 2:23:20Speaker 1: F stands for double fuck wad, double wad fuck right
- 2:23:30Speaker 1: RH pay six r H, which I figured was right hemisphere.
- 2:23:34Speaker 1: There was suicidal over pains of being trans amplified by
- 2:23:40Speaker 1: pains of being single female in a bigender head, amplified
- 2:23:47Speaker 1: lots of amplification over here, amplified by their left hemisphere's
- 2:23:52Speaker 1: unhealthy attitude, which had been victorious in the culture reg
- 2:24:01Speaker 1: They downplayed the suicide suicidality a lot. I said the
- 2:24:05Speaker 1: thing was a failed effort. We had our answer to
- 2:24:09Speaker 1: the startup hypotheses. The project as planned didn't work. Pasik disappeared,
- 2:24:15Speaker 1: presumed to have committed suicide.
- 2:24:18Speaker 4: You know, she sounds a lot like a patient that
- 2:24:21Speaker 4: house would meet.
- 2:24:24Speaker 1: This is what I'm thinking. I think they're trying to
- 2:24:26Speaker 1: pretend to be fucking psychologists or some bullshit like this,
- 2:24:30Speaker 1: and they don't know what the fuck they're doing. And
- 2:24:34Speaker 1: I do believe that they've created more harm than good
- 2:24:36Speaker 1: in themselves. Like are they trying to dissociate bring on
- 2:24:38Speaker 1: multiple personalities? Like what are you even?
- 2:24:41Speaker 3: I need to get help? Yes, like this needs some help.
- 2:24:45Speaker 3: They are harming themselves. They are instead of self medicating,
- 2:24:49Speaker 3: they are self shrinking themselves.
- 2:24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, to a point that I mean it, Burger and like,
- 2:24:58Speaker 1: who the fuck does this thing? She is to like, oh,
- 2:25:03Speaker 1: I can help people with all of these's on what
- 2:25:05Speaker 1: grounds is? Yeah? What grounds?
- 2:25:12Speaker 3: You're right?
- 2:25:12Speaker 1: I'm so sorry I forgot what reality we were fucking
- 2:25:17Speaker 1: living in.
- 2:25:17Speaker 4: Here Jedi and a broke Bach mountain walk into a bar.
- 2:25:22Speaker 1: She goes on to finish with this has been an
- 2:25:24Speaker 1: extremely inadequate conveyance of how fucked up Hemisphere conflict is,
- 2:25:31Speaker 1: how debucketing spurs it, and needless to say, this unfinished
- 2:25:35Speaker 1: post cuts far short of why and how. Oh you're
- 2:25:38Speaker 1: not going to let us know any of this? Cool?
- 2:25:48Speaker 4: Okay, maybe it wasn't rational to post it then?
- 2:25:51Speaker 1: Maybe now The next part is my favorite. You remember you, remember, Terry,
- 2:25:56Speaker 1: when I told you the first episode about the box
- 2:25:58Speaker 1: trucks side those bot trucks.
- 2:26:03Speaker 3: Here we are so, guys get ready because Gwenn develops
- 2:26:09Speaker 3: a plan to convert box trucks to living quarters.
- 2:26:13Speaker 1: If I must say this about Gwenn, I understand that
- 2:26:16Speaker 1: we're laughing a lot of our ideas and they are
- 2:26:19Speaker 1: shot landed.
- 2:26:21Speaker 3: Some of them aren't bad.
- 2:26:23Speaker 1: They're not bad. And you know what, Unlike Ziz, She's
- 2:26:27Speaker 1: constantly coming up with ideas and plans of how to
- 2:26:30Speaker 1: do things better. They're not the greatest, they don't work.
- 2:26:33Speaker 3: Out well, but you know she's trying.
- 2:26:35Speaker 1: She is trying, and Ziz is just riding fucking long.
- 2:26:39Speaker 1: Has contributed. To be.
- 2:26:43Speaker 4: Fair, some of these ideas didn't work because was involved.
- 2:26:47Speaker 4: Some of them could have worked with reasonable people at
- 2:26:50Speaker 4: the helm. You know what I mean that too.
- 2:26:53Speaker 1: I'm just saying Gwenn has a lot of ideas. I
- 2:26:56Speaker 1: know we make fun of her a lot of her ideas,
- 2:26:58Speaker 1: but you know what, that's fine. She put him out there,
- 2:27:00Speaker 1: she put them out, she tried them out. Good for her,
- 2:27:03Speaker 1: good for her?
- 2:27:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Wow. On July eleventh, twenty twenty, Gwinn posted a
- 2:27:11Speaker 3: new plan for off grid living in vehicles on her
- 2:27:15Speaker 3: blog titled slack Mobiles. I'm sorry, I like that.
- 2:27:21Speaker 1: I will just say real quick that they're living in
- 2:27:24Speaker 1: these pre twenty twenty. This is just when she wrote
- 2:27:29Speaker 1: this all up.
- 2:27:30Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, so she credits ziz with about half of
- 2:27:35Speaker 3: the design work. Before we really get into it, we
- 2:27:38Speaker 3: should probably discuss what slack means in this context, because
- 2:27:45Speaker 3: slack is not the platform you use at work to
- 2:27:49Speaker 3: do messages. Okay, So she defines it is the ability
- 2:27:54Speaker 3: of a system or a person to absorb chaos or
- 2:27:58Speaker 3: unexpected set facts. Often appears like luck or having your
- 2:28:04Speaker 3: shit together with.
- 2:28:06Speaker 4: Sparkles, living in a sponge, oh goodness. As for I mean,
- 2:28:16Speaker 4: as for living in a truck or van to help
- 2:28:19Speaker 4: you get your shit together. She began by writing, if
- 2:28:23Speaker 4: what you care about doing with your life is solving
- 2:28:25Speaker 4: a large problem with the world, then gaining the ability
- 2:28:28Speaker 4: to work towards your goals without constraints is convergently valuable.
- 2:28:32Speaker 4: A convergent goal. I see three main clusters of reasons
- 2:28:36Speaker 4: to work towards this by the way written way better,
- 2:28:42Speaker 4: like way better, way better. So reasons Reason one time
- 2:28:48Speaker 4: and money. Job takes up too much time. If you
- 2:28:51Speaker 4: don't have to pay rent, you don't have to work
- 2:28:53Speaker 4: as much. True.
- 2:28:56Speaker 3: I can follow that.
- 2:28:58Speaker 4: Reason two installation from civilizational decay and collapse. The more
- 2:29:03Speaker 4: dependent you are on civilization, the more your work is
- 2:29:05Speaker 4: at risk if civilization collapses. By the way, not entirely wrong.
- 2:29:10Speaker 4: It was twenty twenty. Isn't that out there?
- 2:29:14Speaker 1: They quick I just noticed that Cappin made the background
- 2:29:18Speaker 1: for Gwinn's thing dragons. I just wanted to let her
- 2:29:23Speaker 1: know that did not escape.
- 2:29:25Speaker 3: I just saw that happens. Goods.
- 2:29:37Speaker 4: We can do that.
- 2:29:38Speaker 1: We can afford some mental upgrades. It's fine.
- 2:29:42Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I can do a mental raise
- 2:29:45Speaker 3: for you.
- 2:29:46Speaker 1: That's your manic walk.
- 2:29:47Speaker 4: Here we go, all right. Reason three Autonomy and freedom.
- 2:29:55Speaker 4: The autonomy to do what you want to do and
- 2:29:58Speaker 4: do it the way that you want to do it
- 2:29:59Speaker 4: is important for any would be world optimizer. And this
- 2:30:03Speaker 4: includes the freedom to tinker with basic building blocks and
- 2:30:08Speaker 4: structure of your life.
- 2:30:10Speaker 1: Yeah, captains her own room on the talk about.
- 2:30:14Speaker 4: That's right, our captain capton has earned her sailing robes.
- 2:30:24Speaker 1: Her ceremonious the throbes. So Gwinn's post continued with a
- 2:30:30Speaker 1: DIY on how to build out a vehicle for livability,
- 2:30:35Speaker 1: with the project ranging from five thousand to thirty thousand
- 2:30:39Speaker 1: dollars depending on how fancy you want to get. I
- 2:30:41Speaker 1: do want to put that. She wrote this in twenty twenty,
- 2:30:44Speaker 1: so those prices that probably went up with this crazy
- 2:30:48Speaker 1: inflation that we're going with. So that's probably a little
- 2:30:50Speaker 1: bit more expensive.
- 2:30:51Speaker 3: For But you know what she didn't meant to say,
- 2:30:54Speaker 3: it's me. I need the bougie ones. Where's bougie?
- 2:30:58Speaker 4: Oh you about seventy five grid?
- 2:31:00Speaker 1: Now, I living in one of these slackmobiles. I got
- 2:31:04Speaker 1: names for you. Okay, she does good, but like no.
- 2:31:08Speaker 1: So she advised readers to start with a used box truck,
- 2:31:13Speaker 1: box truck, So one get a box truck, and she
- 2:31:17Speaker 1: offered practical advice, like how much money to save for
- 2:31:20Speaker 1: an expected transmission repair? Is very useful and resourceful she is.
- 2:31:25Speaker 1: Her focus was on blending into the scenery. All right,
- 2:31:29Speaker 1: So no RVs or campers. You're looking for an unmarked
- 2:31:32Speaker 1: commercial vehicle with the aim of avoiding the attention of
- 2:31:36Speaker 1: the police or security guards. Okay, right, may that's getting
- 2:31:44Speaker 1: out of having to pay for places.
- 2:31:46Speaker 3: I really, you can run quickly, You're I don't sight right.
- 2:31:52Speaker 1: She discussed using solar energy battery backups and listed all
- 2:31:56Speaker 1: the basic needs for comfort. I'm a little bit more.
- 2:32:01Speaker 1: I have higher needs for humpert than what she gives.
- 2:32:03Speaker 1: Just by the way, I will not pooh in.
- 2:32:05Speaker 3: A bucket, So you obviously don't sleep in tents either,
- 2:32:09Speaker 3: right now? Even sleep in a tent girl?
- 2:32:14Speaker 4: Why does why does the back door look like the tartis?
- 2:32:19Speaker 1: It is not bigger on the inside spoiler alert?
- 2:32:23Speaker 4: So she just oh that?
- 2:32:25Speaker 1: So honestly, the weirdest thing about this list is that
- 2:32:29Speaker 1: she has a washer and dryer as essential. I don't
- 2:32:33Speaker 1: think that's weird. I agree essential. What are we supposed
- 2:32:36Speaker 1: to do in a river like peasants? We're in the box.
- 2:32:40Speaker 4: Trucks Oregon trail that beaches, say.
- 2:32:44Speaker 3: Or put them in your toilet and flush it and
- 2:32:46Speaker 3: wash them in there.
- 2:32:47Speaker 1: We all get dysentery, probably onto something. So what's interesting, though,
- 2:32:54Speaker 1: is that she says a washer and dryer is essential,
- 2:32:57Speaker 1: but any sort of roads I immersions supplies are optional.
- 2:33:04Speaker 1: Go ahead, Okay. She basically advocated for a hashtag band
- 2:33:09Speaker 1: life as an act of self sufficiency and social rebellion,
- 2:33:15Speaker 1: which I mean, if you are to live in a
- 2:33:16Speaker 1: box trup, then if you're good with that, that's fine.
- 2:33:18Speaker 1: Whatever I'm not doing that.
- 2:33:20Speaker 10: That that.
- 2:33:25Speaker 1: Where are you pointing?
- 2:33:26Speaker 4: One? Two, three bullets down? The last sentence is all
- 2:33:30Speaker 4: you need to know. It's all you need to know.
- 2:33:33Speaker 1: Oh, once starlink is up, probably I will switch to that.
- 2:33:36Speaker 1: Oh I don't think you will now that we're in,
- 2:33:40Speaker 1: are you Gwen? I don't think like Gwyn.
- 2:33:43Speaker 3: I think did not age.
- 2:33:46Speaker 1: Age like milk? You guys, is what that? That's okay?
- 2:33:48Speaker 1: She can't predict everything. She has mind control powers, but
- 2:33:52Speaker 1: she cannot predict the future, you guys.
- 2:33:56Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my gosh, Yes, in a van down by the.
- 2:34:04Speaker 1: Now.
- 2:34:05Speaker 3: If you're wondering where to park your slack mobile, she
- 2:34:09Speaker 3: had tips for that too, Okay. She shared how to
- 2:34:14Speaker 3: tow a truck, how to receive mail, the best chance
- 2:34:18Speaker 3: for getting insurance, and how to get registration.
- 2:34:22Speaker 1: I mean, that's fucking way more information than anything this
- 2:34:26Speaker 1: is given.
- 2:34:27Speaker 3: Us to say Gwen anything. Gwinn's got a little bit
- 2:34:31Speaker 3: more upstairs working for her ses. So getting your vehicle
- 2:34:36Speaker 3: registered as an RV has different requirements per state. You
- 2:34:41Speaker 3: generally have to show the government that you added a
- 2:34:44Speaker 3: set of features like a sink, toilet, et cetera. However,
- 2:34:50Speaker 3: you can just skip that by registering as an RV
- 2:34:53Speaker 3: via mail with Vermont and then immediately transferring the registration
- 2:34:58Speaker 3: back to whatever state you prefer, or you can just
- 2:35:01Speaker 3: keep it in Vermont. I mean, and guys, you will
- 2:35:07Speaker 3: remember from episode one, this is not the last time
- 2:35:12Speaker 3: Vermont comes up in this story.
- 2:35:13Speaker 1: Now, Okay, we're gonna hear about it a couple more times.
- 2:35:18Speaker 3: About Yeah, So, Quinn continued with a long list of
- 2:35:23Speaker 3: more specialized options for your slack Mobile, ranging from AC
- 2:35:30Speaker 3: to cryo freezer for your yeast, algae and bacteria keeping
- 2:35:35Speaker 3: needs or ferrets.
- 2:35:38Speaker 4: Well now we know where COVID came from.
- 2:35:41Speaker 3: Okay, Okay. On that list is also a lifetime supply
- 2:35:45Speaker 3: of hormones for those who take them, with some thoughts
- 2:35:49Speaker 3: on how to dey those two.
- 2:35:51Speaker 1: Don't take advice on that, guys, it's weird.
- 2:35:56Speaker 3: I'm just gonna say, I really do not want to
- 2:36:00Speaker 3: walk into anyone slack mobile and open their cryo freezer
- 2:36:04Speaker 3: and see their yeast. Okay, That's all I'm saying.
- 2:36:08Speaker 4: Here, Like, yeah, I think I think they're confused, because,
- 2:36:13Speaker 4: like their version of DIY hormones is literally just a
- 2:36:17Speaker 4: burned disc of porn stars like climaxing. It's weird.
- 2:36:24Speaker 1: I don't like the fact that they're like, yeah, let's
- 2:36:27Speaker 1: make our own, Like I would never trust it. Like,
- 2:36:32Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, I get it. I get that
- 2:36:35Speaker 1: people feel like they need something to get to, Like
- 2:36:38Speaker 1: I do get it, but like, let's be a little
- 2:36:41Speaker 1: safe about it. Okay, I mean, let's be said about it.
- 2:36:45Speaker 1: I don't think algae and yeah yeast are the answers
- 2:36:48Speaker 1: for this, Okay.
- 2:36:50Speaker 3: No, No, I mean, if you need to go to
- 2:36:54Speaker 3: an organism like that, just let some cheese mold in
- 2:36:56Speaker 3: the refrigerator, okay, and then you can turn that into
- 2:36:59Speaker 3: peno sellin. That's about as far as I'm willing to
- 2:37:02Speaker 3: go with that one. And why do you need to
- 2:37:05Speaker 3: get a lifetime supply of hormones? Can't you just have
- 2:37:08Speaker 3: your prescription transferred to whatever Walgreens or CBS you're near.
- 2:37:13Speaker 1: Well, I think it's for people who don't have money
- 2:37:17Speaker 1: to pay for them, because at one time she talks
- 2:37:21Speaker 1: about getting her hormones off of Ali Baba.
- 2:37:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you can order them from there.
- 2:37:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not a great idea.
- 2:37:30Speaker 3: She could just drive over to Mexico and get them
- 2:37:32Speaker 3: for a dollar a box.
- 2:37:33Speaker 1: And then she talks about making them herself, which is
- 2:37:36Speaker 1: both these are just I do not recommend anyone no
- 2:37:40Speaker 1: doing this.
- 2:37:42Speaker 3: Just go into menopause, Just go be a biach. Don't
- 2:37:44Speaker 3: get those made up hormones.
- 2:37:47Speaker 1: You just don't know what you're getting. It's just not So.
- 2:37:49Speaker 3: We have a picture of her mini bus, right we do?
- 2:37:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so, she shared. She shared photos of the interior
- 2:37:57Speaker 4: of her own converted minibus and I'm comfy. I'm good there,
- 2:38:03Speaker 4: I'm good, and an incredibly detailed spreadsheet of everything in
- 2:38:07Speaker 4: her space, how much it costs, and where she obtained it.
- 2:38:10Speaker 4: Now it's often Amazon, because you know, it's all about
- 2:38:14Speaker 4: the ethics, she wrote in closing, here is a spreadsheet
- 2:38:20Speaker 4: of everything in my bus, how much it costs, and
- 2:38:23Speaker 4: where I bought it. This includes things like clothes, laptop, vitamins, tools,
- 2:38:28Speaker 4: et cetera. The total cost I've documented is around nine
- 2:38:31Speaker 4: thousand dollars plus insurance and gas, about twenty two hundred
- 2:38:34Speaker 4: in my first year. Though there are some things I
- 2:38:38Speaker 4: don't have documented, including expenses getting my license, so.
- 2:38:46Speaker 7: So so.
- 2:38:49Speaker 1: On the spreadsheet, she puts D and D dice essential.
- 2:38:56Speaker 1: I'm not judging you, Gwen, I think that's amazing. I
- 2:38:59Speaker 1: just love that you included it. That's freaking fantastic. Love it.
- 2:39:04Speaker 3: Luckily, I now know what D and D is, you know,
- 2:39:07Speaker 3: because a couple of months ago I didn't.
- 2:39:08Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 2:39:11Speaker 4: So you go ahead, you're saying, no, I'm just I
- 2:39:15Speaker 4: love the fact that she got to lock her off
- 2:39:17Speaker 4: of craigs List in a microwave off of Craigslist at Amazon.
- 2:39:26Speaker 4: All right, all right. So, so not only has has
- 2:39:29Speaker 4: Win shifted her focus from living on a boat to
- 2:39:33Speaker 4: to to living in a bus, she's provided a fairly
- 2:39:36Speaker 4: thorough blueprint for how to tackle the project and what
- 2:39:39Speaker 4: to consider and avoid. She's getting people up to speed
- 2:39:43Speaker 4: asap so they can start saving the world. It's it's
- 2:39:47Speaker 4: like assembling the Avengers in the back of a U
- 2:39:49Speaker 4: haul behind a dollar General, and unfortunately, in this case
- 2:39:54Speaker 4: is Nick Fury, but with more polycule drama and less
- 2:39:57Speaker 4: strategic foresight just standing there in a long coat. She
- 2:40:01Speaker 4: definitely can't afford recruiting people who wants googled AI ethics
- 2:40:04Speaker 4: and calling it her resistance. I don't.
- 2:40:09Speaker 3: Oh my god, oh.
- 2:40:12Speaker 1: Boy, speaking you know, I kind of wondering now, like,
- 2:40:15Speaker 1: did they just did Ziz write this entire blog just
- 2:40:19Speaker 1: using ute twenty. Like I kind of wonder if, like
- 2:40:22Speaker 1: that's why none of this makes any sense, that.
- 2:40:25Speaker 3: Would make that would make it actually make sense.
- 2:40:30Speaker 6: Oh, you know what.
- 2:40:32Speaker 1: I love Gwen for her idea for slackmobiles, you know, innovative.
- 2:40:37Speaker 1: She's trying. Her hogal was to solve the rent problem,
- 2:40:41Speaker 1: and here she is on her second idea. The boatland
- 2:40:43Speaker 1: didn't work out, as we're literally about to find out
- 2:40:46Speaker 1: how much of a shit show that ends up being.
- 2:40:49Speaker 1: But you know, she did her research and she did
- 2:40:53Speaker 1: her math and she tried. So good for you, Gwen.
- 2:40:56Speaker 3: Do you want me to scare you all right now?
- 2:40:58Speaker 1: Why?
- 2:41:00Speaker 3: Ie goal, When we retire in five years and we
- 2:41:02Speaker 3: sell our house, we're getting an RV and we're gonna
- 2:41:05Speaker 3: live in the RV, I mean r N. The only
- 2:41:10Speaker 3: thing I've told him is that we have to stay
- 2:41:12Speaker 3: at a hotel at least once a month, so I
- 2:41:15Speaker 3: could take a full bubble.
- 2:41:17Speaker 1: That's fair. I mean r v's are really nice. This day,
- 2:41:20Speaker 1: I would stay in there.
- 2:41:21Speaker 3: I might need Almo her document to see what essentials
- 2:41:25Speaker 3: I need, because I would have never thought that I
- 2:41:27Speaker 3: needed a D and D dice.
- 2:41:29Speaker 1: I mean she she lived it for a while, so
- 2:41:33Speaker 1: because I mean when she wrote this again, she wrote
- 2:41:35Speaker 1: this blog and twenty twenty, so she when she writes this,
- 2:41:42Speaker 1: they are living in box trucks for at least a
- 2:41:46Speaker 1: year and a half, maybe maybe two years.
- 2:41:50Speaker 3: I mean, I will say it's going to be much
- 2:41:51Speaker 3: bigger than a box truck because I am high maintenance.
- 2:41:56Speaker 4: Can I just point out that there is something that
- 2:41:59Speaker 4: says cassette toilet, which is fine, I'm sure that's something real,
- 2:42:02Speaker 4: But then it says Cassett toilet that I use as
- 2:42:04Speaker 4: a sink. And if you go over to columns, never
- 2:42:08Speaker 4: yet used as toilet in case you were wondering, I'm like.
- 2:42:16Speaker 3: Is it one of those toilets that doesn't flush? It grinds?
- 2:42:25Speaker 3: Some tiny homes and some yurts have them. So there's
- 2:42:27Speaker 3: a toilet. The liquid stuff goes out, but then the
- 2:42:33Speaker 3: hard stuff goes into a grinder and it puts it
- 2:42:35Speaker 3: in a pouch, kind of like on the Mission to
- 2:42:38Speaker 3: Mars with that guy who made potatoes to live.
- 2:42:46Speaker 1: Toilet an v I mean, ARBs are way nice for
- 2:42:52Speaker 1: them as box shuts. So and I'll be good, but
- 2:42:55Speaker 1: let's continue on so let's finish up this tale about
- 2:42:59Speaker 1: the fleet because we are winding down, folks. I know
- 2:43:02Speaker 1: it's been a long one, but a Grandmas, we are
- 2:43:03Speaker 1: winding down here. So we'll finish up the table with
- 2:43:06Speaker 1: this rat fleet, the calyb and where it is today
- 2:43:10Speaker 1: in twenty twenty five, all right, because remember they lived
- 2:43:13Speaker 1: on this in like to twenty nineteen or some shit
- 2:43:16Speaker 1: like that. So in twenty nineteen, the Pillar Point Harbor
- 2:43:20Speaker 1: employees started noticing the Calyp's crew spending more time and
- 2:43:25Speaker 1: when slackmobile box trucks they had parked in the harbor
- 2:43:29Speaker 1: a lot. Security guards and employees had regular contact with
- 2:43:33Speaker 1: the group, routinely asking them to move their vehicles and
- 2:43:37Speaker 1: turn down the volume when they would play sci fi
- 2:43:40Speaker 1: movies on full blast. The crew would usually comply for
- 2:43:44Speaker 1: a bit, but then later would garry on as usual.
- 2:43:52Speaker 4: Nice. Here's here's this next paragraph you're about to read
- 2:43:59Speaker 4: is one of my favorites ever.
- 2:44:02Speaker 1: Okay, okay, well with that, okay, I'll go. So those
- 2:44:11Speaker 1: who interacted was with Gwenns's and friends during this time
- 2:44:16Speaker 1: said they regarded the group with a mix of amusement
- 2:44:19Speaker 1: and caution, in part because of their bizarre quirks. For example,
- 2:44:26Speaker 1: they would enter and exit the box trucks by rolling
- 2:44:30Speaker 1: under them and then excessing a hole cut in the
- 2:44:34Speaker 1: floor so as not to deserve the doors, which were ballets.
- 2:44:39Speaker 4: So that's yes, Yes, that is my favorite, because I
- 2:44:45Speaker 4: just see them constantly muttering to themselves the double oh
- 2:44:49Speaker 4: seventh theme, learning this, like fifth Cloke, probably thinking it's
- 2:44:58Speaker 4: so fucking cool that they can that.
- 2:45:01Speaker 3: I would fall in the hole in the middle of
- 2:45:04Speaker 3: the night when I got up to walk somewhere, I
- 2:45:06Speaker 3: would just drop through the floor.
- 2:45:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's what they did to get into their home.
- 2:45:13Speaker 1: Was I mean, is this really worth not paying that
- 2:45:17Speaker 1: much in rent at this point? I mean not San
- 2:45:19Speaker 1: Francisco rent. Don't get me wrong, I don't judge. I
- 2:45:21Speaker 1: forgot wanting to pay San Francisco rent. It is outrageous.
- 2:45:25Speaker 1: But like, you can move through Ohio and not have
- 2:45:27Speaker 1: to live in a freaking box.
- 2:45:29Speaker 3: Truck, Like what Ohio has snow and cold?
- 2:45:33Speaker 4: But like living in Ohio's living in a box truck?
- 2:45:39Speaker 3: JT. How dare you are you?
- 2:45:44Speaker 4: You are.
- 2:45:47Speaker 1: Ohio?
- 2:45:47Speaker 4: How dare you? Oh? You could listen? You could have
- 2:45:51Speaker 4: lived in you could have lived in Michigan or in Wisconsin,
- 2:45:53Speaker 4: and I would have said the same thing at the
- 2:45:55Speaker 4: same time.
- 2:45:56Speaker 1: I never just do not say that.
- 2:45:59Speaker 3: When we're doing our live show in Ohio.
- 2:46:03Speaker 4: From Ohio, I'll be alrighty, run you out of this.
- 2:46:07Speaker 3: Yet yet just don't tunny, just look cute.
- 2:46:12Speaker 1: We don't say the M word in Ohio. Well, I
- 2:46:15Speaker 1: don't really give a shit about that because don't care
- 2:46:16Speaker 1: about football. But most people do not say the M word.
- 2:46:19Speaker 3: What is the word?
- 2:46:20Speaker 1: The state above us?
- 2:46:22Speaker 3: The aim Michigan. Why can't you say Michigan.
- 2:46:26Speaker 1: Because it's like, okay, so side note here, sidebar, guys.
- 2:46:31Speaker 1: So Michigan and Ohio. Our sports teams have a huge
- 2:46:36Speaker 1: rivalry between the Ohio State Buck guys and the Michigan Wolverines.
- 2:46:39Speaker 1: But actually that rivalry spans back in time to the
- 2:46:45Speaker 1: Toledo War between Ohio and Michigan, where, by the way,
- 2:46:49Speaker 1: was the most ridiculous war is an over exaggeration of
- 2:46:53Speaker 1: what happened. They fought over the city of Toledo. Ohio
- 2:46:58Speaker 1: really lost out because we're like, listen, nobody died, by
- 2:47:02Speaker 1: the way, I'm pretty sure like it wasn't even a war.
- 2:47:05Speaker 1: I don't know why it's called it. But out of
- 2:47:07Speaker 1: the deal, Ohio is like, let us keep Toledo because
- 2:47:11Speaker 1: Toledo is right on Lake Erie, which during the Industrial
- 2:47:15Speaker 1: Age was like a big big deal. Yeah, so we're like,
- 2:47:19Speaker 1: we went, Ohio, how about this. You guys can have
- 2:47:23Speaker 1: the Upper Peninsula, like what's attached to Wisconsin up there.
- 2:47:28Speaker 1: You guys can just have that, But we're gonna keep Toledo.
- 2:47:30Speaker 1: War over Michigan, in my opinion, really lucked out on
- 2:47:35Speaker 1: that to you know, because Toledo fucking sucks.
- 2:47:39Speaker 3: Well. But they're also Wolverines are not black eyed pea
- 2:47:42Speaker 3: things for the sports team.
- 2:47:44Speaker 1: We are, But guys, they're not black eyed peace. We
- 2:47:47Speaker 1: are poisonous nuts.
- 2:47:50Speaker 3: The piece true.
- 2:47:53Speaker 4: You are like one step off of like eyeing a
- 2:47:56Speaker 4: fleet of ships Alito war. This is the funniest part
- 2:48:01Speaker 4: about this. I just look this up. It's not It
- 2:48:05Speaker 4: is funny that nobody died, But what is even funnier
- 2:48:08Speaker 4: is that one person was wounded. Yes, I don't know
- 2:48:12Speaker 4: what the fuck happened to that person, but I want
- 2:48:14Speaker 4: to know their story and I want to know what
- 2:48:17Speaker 4: squirrel attacks them.
- 2:48:18Speaker 3: It had to do with poisonous nuts. If you guys
- 2:48:21Speaker 3: are not nuts.
- 2:48:23Speaker 1: If you guys are not familiar with the Toledo War, like,
- 2:48:26Speaker 1: I don't look it up because it's fucking hilarious. O.
- 2:48:30Speaker 4: The last episode of Truck Number one time live, we'll
- 2:48:32Speaker 4: be on the Toledo War.
- 2:48:35Speaker 1: And how Ohio doesn't know how to draw maps. Don't
- 2:48:37Speaker 1: even give me a suck. We will go under all
- 2:48:39Speaker 1: of that, okay, because I'm like, I realize that I'm
- 2:48:42Speaker 1: a black eyed peak girl. Move on anyway, So they're
- 2:48:47Speaker 1: rolling under their box trucks to get in there. Back
- 2:48:49Speaker 1: to this story here, and an employee is quoted as saying, quote,
- 2:48:54Speaker 1: they always seem to be putting out this vibe like
- 2:48:59Speaker 1: don't with us and amongst themselves, the employees also began
- 2:49:04Speaker 1: referring to the rogue wearing Zizz as Jedi Jag. Look
- 2:49:13Speaker 1: at that, you're like palaty, Oh my god. So they
- 2:49:23Speaker 1: referred to Zizz as Jedi Jack. They said Zizz quote
- 2:49:27Speaker 1: would just be lurking around at night probably like this,
- 2:49:30Speaker 1: like he was on that boat walking the beach alone.
- 2:49:36Speaker 1: Some of the deputies were like, quote, that was the
- 2:49:39Speaker 1: creepiest freaking thing I ever saw. And before before you
- 2:49:46Speaker 1: go hair JT. I side note also want to say
- 2:49:49Speaker 1: that I had to make this script a little bit shorter,
- 2:49:52Speaker 1: or our story that we're gonna tell the night I
- 2:49:54Speaker 1: had to make shorter. I had to cut some things
- 2:49:56Speaker 1: as this was talking about, and I do want to
- 2:49:59Speaker 1: tell you that two things that I had to cut.
- 2:50:02Speaker 1: One was about Zizz's encounter with a druid, a real
- 2:50:06Speaker 1: life druid person who lived on the boats with them,
- 2:50:10Speaker 1: not with them, but like in the harbor. The second
- 2:50:13Speaker 1: story I had to cut was when they were going
- 2:50:16Speaker 1: to buy a boat from a neo Nazi.
- 2:50:19Speaker 3: Oh, the neo Nazi. Yes, thoats were.
- 2:50:22Speaker 1: The only things I could find to cut them. I'm like, well,
- 2:50:25Speaker 1: these aren't really like important. A druid and a neo
- 2:50:28Speaker 1: Nazi did not make the show, you guys, that's the
- 2:50:32Speaker 1: level of crazy we are dealing with. I just I
- 2:50:36Speaker 1: just want to let you know that I don't know
- 2:50:39Speaker 1: what's going on in San Francisco, but it's what But.
- 2:50:41Speaker 3: I'm going to say, if that's the creepiest thing they
- 2:50:43Speaker 3: saw in San Francisco, because they hate Ashbury Districts there,
- 2:50:49Speaker 3: they have no Pants Friday on the Bart, where people
- 2:50:53Speaker 3: ride the rapid transit with no pants on a knew
- 2:50:58Speaker 3: the old men's dinglely glees and butt hairsation. Yes, it's
- 2:51:04Speaker 3: no pants Fridays.
- 2:51:06Speaker 1: It was that.
- 2:51:06Speaker 3: It freaked me out when I was there. But yeah,
- 2:51:10Speaker 3: that's the creepiest thing, you know. It was weird.
- 2:51:14Speaker 1: Because that Yeah, hold on, I'm sorry me. Yeah s
- 2:51:25Speaker 1: by come time again.
- 2:51:29Speaker 4: Bottom. It gets me when when when they said that
- 2:51:34Speaker 4: they were always putting out a vibe like don't funk
- 2:51:36Speaker 4: with us, because them saying don't funk with us is well,
- 2:51:39Speaker 4: it's real rich coming from a group of people who
- 2:51:41Speaker 4: couldn't operate a dinging without a group chat. Lurking the
- 2:51:47Speaker 4: beach at night like a Sith lord on sabbatical isn't
- 2:51:49Speaker 4: really mysterious. It's just kind of what happens when your
- 2:51:52Speaker 4: ideology outpaces your social skills.
- 2:51:56Speaker 3: Fact. Fact, Oh my goodness, now, guys. One of the
- 2:52:01Speaker 3: group's boat's neighbors at the harbor was Curtis Lynde, who
- 2:52:06Speaker 3: had docked his one hundred and seventeen foot boat. Guys,
- 2:52:11Speaker 3: that's a big gass boat, the Robert Gray. That's what
- 2:52:15Speaker 3: I call a y. Yeah, that's a big ass boat.
- 2:52:19Speaker 3: How big that is?
- 2:52:20Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:52:21Speaker 3: His was the largest vessel in the Bay and the
- 2:52:24Speaker 3: Caleb was the second lynd and the group met. Due
- 2:52:28Speaker 3: to the Caleb's anchor dragging, they needed a new anchor,
- 2:52:32Speaker 3: and the lend was kind and sold them some. Now,
- 2:52:36Speaker 3: over time, Linn learned that many in the group were transgender.
- 2:52:41Speaker 3: I got to be pretty friendly with them, friendly enough
- 2:52:44Speaker 3: that so that I took one of them to Walmart
- 2:52:48Speaker 3: to buy her first bra. Lind recalled, I mean, that's
- 2:52:52Speaker 3: a special friendship.
- 2:52:55Speaker 4: Curtis. Curtis seems lovely and supportive, like like the Bra.
- 2:53:03Speaker 1: And for those of you who may be watching for
- 2:53:05Speaker 1: the first time, in episode one, unfortunately we find out
- 2:53:09Speaker 1: the fate of Curtis Land. So we will be discussing
- 2:53:15Speaker 1: Curtis Land and more, not next episode, but the episode
- 2:53:18Speaker 1: after that.
- 2:53:20Speaker 4: The fact that you said the fate of just tells
- 2:53:22Speaker 4: us everything we need to know.
- 2:53:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean this gap not with this grape. You
- 2:53:25Speaker 3: don't know what the fate could be with them.
- 2:53:27Speaker 1: It's wild.
- 2:53:29Speaker 3: I will be very I will you told him to
- 2:53:32Speaker 3: where he's a monkey.
- 2:53:34Speaker 1: I will warn you now, you guys, if you thought
- 2:53:36Speaker 1: I've been snarky with this is this blog post, I
- 2:53:38Speaker 1: will be snarky af for the Curtis land episode because
- 2:53:43Speaker 1: it fires me up. It fires me up because I
- 2:53:49Speaker 1: mean it is eighty year old man, look at him. Yeah,
- 2:53:53Speaker 1: being a nice guy over here. But go ahead. Sorry.
- 2:53:55Speaker 3: It was early twenty twenty, right before the pandemic. Kit
- 2:53:59Speaker 3: in case any one's forgotten, there was this thing called COVID,
- 2:54:02Speaker 3: Just in case anybody for good. I know it's been
- 2:54:04Speaker 3: a while, so that Lynn decided to retire. So he
- 2:54:09Speaker 3: sold his boat and moved it into a trailer yard
- 2:54:12Speaker 3: he owned in Vallejo, California, where he planned to open
- 2:54:16Speaker 3: a lot to renters of trailers and other makeshift homes. Okay,
- 2:54:22Speaker 3: he allowed the group to move their slack mobiles out
- 2:54:26Speaker 3: of Pillar Point Harbor and onto his land. The Caleb
- 2:54:31Speaker 3: was left abandoned except for the rats. So in April
- 2:54:36Speaker 3: twenty twenty one, Ziz sold her share of the Caleb
- 2:54:39Speaker 3: to gwyn for one dollar.
- 2:54:47Speaker 1: This is about to be so convenient for Zizz.
- 2:54:49Speaker 3: That she by the way, leaving Gwynn with owning two
- 2:54:53Speaker 3: third share of the boat and one third to Powell.
- 2:54:57Speaker 3: Just days later, the San Mateo County authorities determined the
- 2:55:01Speaker 3: top Boat was no longer seaworthy and ordered the owners
- 2:55:05Speaker 3: to remove it. But no owner responded, and its anchor
- 2:55:10Speaker 3: continued to drag. Then, in early twenty twenty two, winter
- 2:55:14Speaker 3: storms tossed the boat around the harbor, endangering other vessels,
- 2:55:18Speaker 3: and no one responded to radio calls on the Caleb.
- 2:55:24Speaker 4: So on the night of March twelve, twenty twenty two,
- 2:55:29Speaker 4: Gwen and her crew moved the Caleb to the Harbor's workdock,
- 2:55:32Speaker 4: but the staff explained that the boat was too large
- 2:55:34Speaker 4: to be moved there. Gwen and the others got into
- 2:55:37Speaker 4: a vehicle and well they drove off and they've never
- 2:55:40Speaker 4: been seen at or near the Caleb since. The harbor
- 2:55:45Speaker 4: District will wound up paying a marine salvage company to
- 2:55:49Speaker 4: remove hazardous materials from the boat and anchor it away
- 2:55:52Speaker 4: from the dock. And I think we have a little video.
- 2:55:57Speaker 4: Do we have a video here?
- 2:55:59Speaker 1: Is it like in real time? Like literally a month ago?
- 2:56:03Speaker 1: Somebody went out there to that boat and took that
- 2:56:07Speaker 1: that is and look at these look at these morally
- 2:56:12Speaker 1: righteous vegans leaving all the shit to destroy the environment.
- 2:56:17Speaker 4: Yeah, there are solar panels on the top. There are
- 2:56:20Speaker 4: solar panels on the top. Oh that's great.
- 2:56:27Speaker 3: They are ponds gum so.
- 2:56:31Speaker 4: As of today. Well, there you go, the Kali Breasts
- 2:56:35Speaker 4: near the community of Princeton by the Sea and the
- 2:56:37Speaker 4: cliffs of Mavericks speech the Harbor District General Manager Kim
- 2:56:43Speaker 4: Prewitt said that the price tag for removing the ship
- 2:56:45Speaker 4: would be about two million dollars, which is asking a
- 2:56:49Speaker 4: lot for an agency with an annual budget of thirteen million.
- 2:56:52Speaker 4: So Prewit has been applying for grants to shoulder the cost. Quote.
- 2:56:57Speaker 4: That's the problem with these types of boats. They get
- 2:56:59Speaker 4: sold for a couple of books, and then these people
- 2:57:01Speaker 4: come down and abandon it and now it's somebody else's problem.
- 2:57:05Speaker 3: Now just because I'm that weird person. Couldn't they sink
- 2:57:09Speaker 3: it to the bottom maybe the bay is not deep enough,
- 2:57:13Speaker 3: and then let it be a place for people to
- 2:57:15Speaker 3: go dive and do ship dives around it like I've done.
- 2:57:18Speaker 4: And they'd have to clean it way more than just
- 2:57:23Speaker 4: paying somebody to remove like there has to be a
- 2:57:26Speaker 4: lot of prep that's done.
- 2:57:28Speaker 3: Makes sense. See, that's why they don't have me working
- 2:57:31Speaker 3: for them.
- 2:57:32Speaker 1: I mean, it's just really signal like this is their
- 2:57:35Speaker 1: big their first big idea, and this is the end
- 2:57:40Speaker 1: result of their their first plan to save the world.
- 2:57:44Speaker 1: It is something that is going to cost everyone else
- 2:57:47Speaker 1: but them a bunch of money. It's gonna everybody else
- 2:57:50Speaker 1: is going to clean up this fucking mess, like yep,
- 2:57:55Speaker 1: And you know what, I feel like, I feel like
- 2:57:57Speaker 1: Ziz selling Dot to Gwen for one dollar because you
- 2:58:02Speaker 1: got Gwyn is like on the hook for for this
- 2:58:07Speaker 1: like millions of dollars.
- 2:58:10Speaker 3: She somehow got a heads up.
- 2:58:13Speaker 1: Or she called or something or yeah something. In my opinion,
- 2:58:18Speaker 1: I don't know the host. I have no idea how
- 2:58:20Speaker 1: this banned out, but I feel like, what.
- 2:58:24Speaker 4: There's a there's a patent pending album that they titled, Uh,
- 2:58:30Speaker 4: save Yourselves. The whales are doing fine, and I think
- 2:58:33Speaker 4: that this is the case, like they need to just
- 2:58:35Speaker 4: learn to sell save themselves. The world's I mean, it's
- 2:58:39Speaker 4: it's a shitty, fucked up place, but it's fine, and
- 2:58:42Speaker 4: take care of you, you know you do you leave
- 2:58:45Speaker 4: the rest of it to the rest of everybody else.
- 2:58:48Speaker 1: Just it's crazy. I the the tale of the Rational's Fleet.
- 2:58:53Speaker 1: This is the end result of the rat fleet. It
- 2:58:56Speaker 1: did not go well. But now they're all on box
- 2:58:59Speaker 1: trucks living Online's property. So we're going to see how
- 2:59:02Speaker 1: that plays out. Later. So I'd like to finish up
- 2:59:06Speaker 1: tonight's story because we are finishing up here, folks. I
- 2:59:09Speaker 1: know it's been a long night, and I apologize for
- 2:59:11Speaker 1: how long it is, but as you can see, there
- 2:59:13Speaker 1: was a lot to talk about tonight's So I'd like
- 2:59:17Speaker 1: to finish up tonight's story talking about Jane, Fluttershy and
- 2:59:22Speaker 1: Maya Pasient So. As referenced earlier, Maya pask is thought
- 2:59:27Speaker 1: to have died by suicide in twenty eighteen. Just months earlier,
- 2:59:31Speaker 1: they posted on Facebook that quote life is Good from
- 2:59:35Speaker 1: their idyllic retreat in Grand Canaria, Spain. Three months later
- 2:59:40Speaker 1: they wrote the blog post and is mentioned decision theory
- 2:59:43Speaker 1: and suicide, which is now believed to have been their
- 2:59:46Speaker 1: suicide note. In December of twenty twenty, Jane wrote her
- 2:59:51Speaker 1: own blog post title Containment Causes Suicide Suicidality, partially as
- 2:59:57Speaker 1: a response to Zizz's Basic to Do blog post, which
- 3:00:02Speaker 1: was about pa six suicide. She later she last replied
- 3:00:07Speaker 1: to a comment on that post late January twenty twenty one.
- 3:00:11Speaker 1: We know that she died by suicide March tenth, twenty
- 3:00:15Speaker 1: twenty one. As a friend on the Less Wrong Rationalist
- 3:00:18Speaker 1: page wrote quote. Even in Flettersheie's darkest moments, they thought
- 3:00:23Speaker 1: about helping the least among us. No one was willing
- 3:00:26Speaker 1: and able to help Fluttershy become the hero they wanted
- 3:00:29Speaker 1: to be. I have many, many regrets for my time
- 3:00:33Speaker 1: in California. The chief among them is not making a
- 3:00:36Speaker 1: heroic effort to put Fluttershy on a better path end quote.
- 3:00:42Speaker 1: You know, both both Maya and Flettershy were friends with
- 3:00:46Speaker 1: Sis and Gwynn, and both participated in this experimental mind
- 3:00:52Speaker 1: control techniques that they had going on. What's interesting because
- 3:00:58Speaker 1: this is always says. Ziz made sure to comment on
- 3:01:03Speaker 1: her own blog that their sleep experiments were not to
- 3:01:07Speaker 1: blame for pasics doom, but before retroactively declaring Pasic to
- 3:01:14Speaker 1: be non good, which all I have to say is
- 3:01:21Speaker 1: is fuck you, fuck you. This is fuck you. So now,
- 3:01:29Speaker 1: I know we've been very silly tonight, which is always great,
- 3:01:33Speaker 1: But I want to be serious for just a moment. Okay,
- 3:01:37Speaker 1: I know it's a really heavy topic for people, but
- 3:01:39Speaker 1: just just give me a moment of your time. No,
- 3:01:42Speaker 1: I don't think gwyn and Says had anything to do
- 3:01:44Speaker 1: with Maya or Flettershy's suicides. I mean suicide is a
- 3:01:48Speaker 1: very complex issue, okay, and sadly the suicide rates within
- 3:01:54Speaker 1: the transgender community are astronomical. And listen, I'll be honest.
- 3:02:01Speaker 1: I've suffered from ideation in the past, and it's some
- 3:02:05Speaker 1: seriously scary shit and it is extremely difficult to have
- 3:02:10Speaker 1: any hope or see the light when you're deep in it.
- 3:02:13Speaker 1: And if there is anyone here watching or listening to
- 3:02:16Speaker 1: this who is feeling those things, I want you to
- 3:02:18Speaker 1: know that there is hope and you are not not alone. Okay.
- 3:02:26Speaker 1: I don't regret sticking around. As a matter of fact,
- 3:02:30Speaker 1: things took a better turn in my life once I
- 3:02:33Speaker 1: was able to get help and began understanding why this
- 3:02:36Speaker 1: was happening to me. You know, it wasn't just because
- 3:02:38Speaker 1: I was this flawed person that wasn't like everybody else.
- 3:02:43Speaker 1: There was stuff I had going on, and you know,
- 3:02:47Speaker 1: in the past, after I found out about that, I
- 3:02:49Speaker 1: spent time as a facilitator for NAMI, which is the
- 3:02:53Speaker 1: National Association of Mental Health. I helped run a mental
- 3:02:57Speaker 1: health support group for people just like me, and I
- 3:03:00Speaker 1: can't recommend going to those meetings enough. Suicide outreach is
- 3:03:06Speaker 1: a really big passion of mine because I'm not the
- 3:03:09Speaker 1: only person in this world who has experienced that. And
- 3:03:12Speaker 1: if I'm going to do anything in my time here,
- 3:03:14Speaker 1: it's hopefully to help somebody else, you know. But if
- 3:03:18Speaker 1: peer support isn't an option in your area, then here
- 3:03:21Speaker 1: is a list of numbers you can call right here,
- 3:03:24Speaker 1: one for everyone, Okay, Some you can call, some you
- 3:03:27Speaker 1: can text, some you can communicate with online. Right there
- 3:03:29Speaker 1: are options for everyone, all right. So we have the
- 3:03:33Speaker 1: Suicide and Crisis Lifeline nine eight, that's all you got
- 3:03:36Speaker 1: to call. It does English and Spanish, the Crisis text
- 3:03:40Speaker 1: Line tech Start, the seven four one seven for one,
- 3:03:43Speaker 1: the Trevor Project, which is a very big deal for
- 3:03:47Speaker 1: those in the LGBTQ community. Right this is for people
- 3:03:50Speaker 1: ages eight thirteen to twenty four. The number is eight
- 3:03:54Speaker 1: six six four a eight seven three eight six all right.
- 3:03:59Speaker 1: The gbt National Hotline eight eight eight eight four three
- 3:04:05Speaker 1: four or five six' four and the Trans lifeline eight
- 3:04:09Speaker 1: seven seven five six five eight eight six. Zero. OKAY
- 3:04:15Speaker 1: i just want to say rest in peace To maya
- 3:04:18Speaker 1: And flettershy and from Everything i've seen reading about these two,
- 3:04:23Speaker 1: people you are incredibly, missed and anyone else who feels
- 3:04:29Speaker 1: that way you will be missed, Too, okay so reach
- 3:04:32Speaker 1: out because people do. CARE i promise the, promise and
- 3:04:39Speaker 1: that's ALL i have to say about.
- 3:04:40Speaker 3: That as a person who has also been down in
- 3:04:44Speaker 3: that place in, LIFE i can tell you getting help
- 3:04:49Speaker 3: is the. Answer it. Helps In Like, tara my life
- 3:04:53Speaker 3: took a much better, turn And i'm very happy THAT
- 3:04:58Speaker 3: i had people around around me who encouraged me THAT
- 3:05:02Speaker 3: i didn't have to be ashamed to get. Help so
- 3:05:05Speaker 3: that's ALL i want to add to. That it's not
- 3:05:07Speaker 3: anything to be ashamed.
- 3:05:08Speaker 1: Of so.
- 3:05:14Speaker 3: That's going to bring us to updating our update for
- 3:05:19Speaker 3: the cast. Tonight so sadly we now Have Maya passick
- 3:05:26Speaker 3: and Flettershy Jay winderford And black And white both are
- 3:05:31Speaker 3: really the first casualties in this, story and unfortunately we
- 3:05:39Speaker 3: will learn in the episodes ahead they will not be the.
- 3:05:42Speaker 3: Last and my closing thoughts about this, Episode ziz needs
- 3:05:52Speaker 3: so much fucking. HELP i want to tell her get
- 3:06:02Speaker 3: the help, please because you've already done a lot of
- 3:06:05Speaker 3: damage to, people but you're really hurting. Yourself, yeah and
- 3:06:12Speaker 3: you need to get some help because this episode just
- 3:06:15Speaker 3: makes your head. SPIN i, know we, laughed we joked a,
- 3:06:18Speaker 3: lot but there is some serious shit wrong going on
- 3:06:22Speaker 3: with these, people and people are getting. HURT i, Agree, yeah.
- 3:06:28Speaker 4: Yeah you.
- 3:06:29Speaker 7: Know.
- 3:06:29Speaker 4: Uh WHEN i first read about this whole rat, FLEET
- 3:06:33Speaker 4: i assumed it was gonna involve, spreadsheets can lentils in
- 3:06:36Speaker 4: an overwhelming sense of. Superiority AND i was. Right ONLY
- 3:06:41Speaker 4: i underestimated how much of that superiority would be housed
- 3:06:44Speaker 4: inside of box trucks held together with emotional manipulation and expired.
- 3:06:48Speaker 4: Ambition it's less rationalist utopia and more feeder kids who
- 3:06:53Speaker 4: got lost at sea and decided to solve housing by reiventing.
- 3:06:56Speaker 4: Water and the whole time is LIKE i have mind control, powers, which, okay.
- 3:07:04Speaker 2: You go.
- 3:07:05Speaker 4: Girl if you, did the first thing you'd control is
- 3:07:08Speaker 4: your blog formatting and also maybe not letting A World
- 3:07:14Speaker 4: war two tugboat full of diesel become your lasting. Legacy
- 3:07:18Speaker 4: like imagine if The zodiac killer also had a tumbler
- 3:07:21Speaker 4: and was really into, ponies but like couldn't get a
- 3:07:24Speaker 4: job At google because he ghosted the onboarding. Email like
- 3:07:28Speaker 4: that's this. Story these people, said let's optimize reality and
- 3:07:33Speaker 4: then duct tape a spreadsheet to a yacht and set
- 3:07:35Speaker 4: it on. Fire they wanted to hack, life beat, death
- 3:07:39Speaker 4: and free the world from, capitalism but somehow ended up
- 3:07:43Speaker 4: Playing settlers Of catan on a sinking boat in a
- 3:07:46Speaker 4: cult Native google. DOCS i, guess, like What i'm trying
- 3:07:52Speaker 4: to say, is if you want to save the, world
- 3:07:53Speaker 4: maybe start with therapy before you turn a box truck
- 3:07:56Speaker 4: into your bat cave and declare war on rent with
- 3:07:59Speaker 4: your chakras and soldering. Iron because the only thing worse
- 3:08:03Speaker 4: Than moloch Is moloch with a.
- 3:08:05Speaker 1: Blog well do we have A moloch with a? BLOG
- 3:08:08Speaker 1: i mean, Yeah so my closing thought, is, uh you,
- 3:08:15Speaker 1: Know i'll be, HONEST i was unsure if we should
- 3:08:18Speaker 1: dedicate two whole episodes to reading and dissecting some of
- 3:08:22Speaker 1: this as that shit. BLOG i was, like, OH i
- 3:08:26Speaker 1: don't know if we. SHOULD i don't, know BUT i want.
- 3:08:29Speaker 1: To but you, know it's not often that we get
- 3:08:32Speaker 1: these sort of insights into people like her and these
- 3:08:35Speaker 1: sorts of. Stories and REALLY i think we've learned a
- 3:08:40Speaker 1: lot from.
- 3:08:40Speaker 4: Her you.
- 3:08:41Speaker 1: Know, one living on boats not a good. Idea not
- 3:08:45Speaker 1: a good. Idea. Uh, Two i've now been thinking of
- 3:08:50Speaker 1: whether or not my other Can lama Self we'll survive
- 3:08:55Speaker 1: the singularity and keeping me up that night and, Three
- 3:09:00Speaker 1: i've been constantly working on my eye gazing mind control
- 3:09:04Speaker 1: with elbow. Feats i'm just saying.
- 3:09:13Speaker 3: There are no heat blink twice if you need. Help
- 3:09:16Speaker 3: i'm just.
- 3:09:17Speaker 1: Saying it is not a table leg that's been between.
- 3:09:19Speaker 1: Us if you catch my.
- 3:09:21Speaker 4: Drip who?
- 3:09:24Speaker 1: Kidding Uh, NO i mean there there are some real
- 3:09:31Speaker 1: life lessons in. HERE i GUESS i don't, know but unlike,
- 3:09:38Speaker 1: no what's wild to?
- 3:09:39Speaker 3: Me All?
- 3:09:40Speaker 1: Right we've read one blog, post but clearly multiple people
- 3:09:45Speaker 1: have read her post and were, like you know, what
- 3:09:48Speaker 1: that makes sense to.
- 3:09:50Speaker 3: ME i need to know. More blows my freak me.
- 3:09:58Speaker 1: Too BECAUSE i don't understand how that. HAPPENED i. DON'T i,
- 3:10:05Speaker 1: DON'T i, DON'T i. Don't unlike a lot of cult,
