- 0:02Speaker 1: To everything there is a season, and a time to
- 0:07Speaker 1: every purpose under the heaven, a time to weep, and
- 0:12Speaker 1: a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a
- 0:16Speaker 1: time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3, 1 and 4 Dear Lord,
- 0:24Speaker 1: you have made everything beautiful in its time. Help us
- 0:29Speaker 1: to recognize the value of each moment that you grant
- 0:33Speaker 1: us and use it wisely. May we trust that though
- 0:39Speaker 1: we may not understand why, you ordain every season of
- 0:44Speaker 1: life for a purpose. With your guidance, we can find
- 0:50Speaker 1: joy even in the hard times as well as the easy.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We know that if we wait patiently on you, you
- 1:00Speaker 1: will renew our strength and grant us hope. We give
- 1:05Speaker 1: ourselves to you, trusting that in due time, you will
- 1:11Speaker 1: address all that concerns us. Thank you for the gift
- 1:15Speaker 1: of faith that enables us to look forward with trust
- 1:20Speaker 1: and hope. In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you for joining
- 1:30Speaker 1: me in prayer. Stay tuned for today's free podcast, Meditative
- 1:34Speaker 1: Prayers with Zach Clinton, where you can draw close to
- 1:37Speaker 1: God and find strength in Him.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Welcome to your meditative prayer on healing grief. To get
- 1:48Speaker 2: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every
- 1:50Speaker 2: day and make prayer a priority in your life. My friends, again,
- 1:55Speaker 2: our goal for today's meditative prayer is healing grief. So
- 2:00Speaker 2: in this time of sorrow, take a second to simply breathe.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Look for a comfortable and quiet place. Maybe a place
- 2:12Speaker 2: where your focus today can be on this moment of restoration.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. And as you exhale,
- 2:26Speaker 2: envision the pressure releasing around your heart. Today we'll be
- 2:32Speaker 2: meditating on Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 1 and 4 from
- 2:37Speaker 2: the King James Version. They read, to everything there is
- 2:42Speaker 2: a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven,
- 2:47Speaker 2: a time to weep and a time to laugh, a
- 2:49Speaker 2: time to mourn and a time to dance. Now take
- 2:54Speaker 2: a moment just to pour out your adoration to God
- 2:57Speaker 2: for this season. God, I praise you even in this
- 3:03Speaker 2: difficult moment. God, I worship you for in every season
- 3:08Speaker 2: of my life you have designed a purpose and plan.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I praise you for your comfort in this time of
- 3:18Speaker 2: grieving and I exalt your name for I know you
- 3:23Speaker 2: have planned a time of joy to come. There's a
- 3:28Speaker 2: season for all, and there's a purpose in every season.
- 3:33Speaker 2: This can be a hard truth, though, to accept and
- 3:35Speaker 2: to process. Why? Because loss is a difficult thing to
- 3:40Speaker 2: experience and to feel, and it can fill our hearts
- 3:45Speaker 2: with sorrow and frustration. Hold on to the truth that
- 3:50Speaker 2: this too shall pass. There will be better days. Other
- 3:56Speaker 2: opportunities will come. You will have new beginnings and you
- 4:03Speaker 2: will smile again. Take a moment to reflect on what
- 4:08Speaker 2: is grieving you. Gather all the loss, the disappointments, the
- 4:13Speaker 2: pain and place them in the hands of Jesus right now.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Confess to the Lord your feelings of helplessness sadness, and discouragement.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And let the Holy Spirit minister to your heavy heart.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Take a moment now to thank God for His work
- 4:34Speaker 2: in your life. Think on past seasons of growth, moments
- 4:41Speaker 2: of victory and defeat, of joy and of sorrow, of
- 4:46Speaker 2: beginnings and events. God was in control of each moment
- 4:53Speaker 2: and each one served a purpose in your life. Recollect
- 4:58Speaker 2: the lessons learned, both easy and hard. Thank God for
- 5:04Speaker 2: the ability to improve and mature as a person. Thank
- 5:09Speaker 2: Him for manifesting His purpose in your life. Thank God
- 5:14Speaker 2: for the blessing of past lessons learned and for those
- 5:18Speaker 2: yet to come. My friends, do not forget, God is
- 5:24Speaker 2: present and he's listening to you. You do not have
- 5:30Speaker 2: to learn these lessons alone. Jesus promised to be with
- 5:35Speaker 2: you every step of the way. So pray to him.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Ask him for his help through all of it. Through
- 5:43Speaker 2: every gain and every loss, through every smile and every tear,
- 5:48Speaker 2: through every victory and every defeat, Ask the Holy Spirit
- 5:52Speaker 2: to teach you how to be strong in the midst
- 5:55Speaker 2: of trials. Ask Him to fill you with hope and endurance. Remember,
- 6:02Speaker 2: there's a purpose and a season for everything in life.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Do not be discouraged by your grief. Even in the
- 6:10Speaker 2: midst of hardship, happiness can be had. God loves you,
- 6:17Speaker 2: and He will help you get through every season in
- 6:20Speaker 2: this life You can depend on him for support and encouragement.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You will get through this. My friends, be blessed. Thank
