- 0:16Speaker 1: live from our Tommy John Holmes Studios. I am Chad
- 0:20Speaker 1: Moment of the Action Network. This is our Sunday Night
- 0:22Speaker 1: episode in which we review the faves five picks we
- 0:25Speaker 1: put into the contest di sect, why we left some
- 0:29Speaker 1: games out, preview the early lines we already like for
- 0:33Speaker 1: week fourteen. I'm joined as always by my co host,
- 0:37Speaker 1: my companion, my Campadre, my BFF professional better Simon Hunter.
- 0:41Speaker 2: At US i'med hello, chat. How we doing?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Dude? Chaos, pure chaos for you and me. In the
- 0:49Speaker 1: final moments today, before we submitted our picks this morning,
- 0:55Speaker 1: we traded out three picks. I don't think we traded
- 1:00Speaker 1: out sixty percent of our picks in our history. That
- 1:04Speaker 1: has to be the most in our history, including a
- 1:08Speaker 1: very late change that worked out in our favor. Will
- 1:12Speaker 1: get to all of it. We are currently sweating the
- 1:16Speaker 1: end of the Panthers in the Bucks. We have the
- 1:19Speaker 1: Panthers at plus six and a half. It's in overtime.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We will know more about our final record when that
- 1:27Speaker 1: game ends. We have the Broncos at five and a
- 1:30Speaker 1: half minus five and a half on Monday night football.

- 2:07Speaker 1: three sixty five. Must be twenty one or older and
- 2:09Speaker 1: present in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia,
- 2:17Speaker 1: or eighteen and older in Kentucky. Gambling problem called one
- 2:20Speaker 1: eight hundred gambler or one eight hundred bets off in
- 2:23Speaker 1: Iowa terms. Conditioned restrictions apply all right, So the games
- 2:28Speaker 1: that we switched out. We had the Colts minus two
- 2:31Speaker 1: and a half the very last second, Simon like, I'm
- 2:37Speaker 1: putting the picks in the app, and you text me
- 2:40Speaker 1: because we hadn't talked about.
- 2:41Speaker 2: The Jags somehow, Yeah, which I feel like.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We both liked. So we put the Jags in at
- 2:46Speaker 1: three and a half. We switched out the Jets for
- 2:49Speaker 1: the Panthers, so we had the Jets plus two and
- 2:52Speaker 1: a half. We put in the Panthers at plus six
- 2:54Speaker 1: and a half. We're still waiting for the final gun
- 2:57Speaker 1: on that one. And we switched out the Eagles a
- 3:01Speaker 1: plus three and a half for the Bengals at minus
- 3:03Speaker 1: three and a half. So that one's painful. And I
- 3:08Speaker 1: feel like we nailed our handicap on the Eagles the
- 3:11Speaker 1: other day. And I don't know why we waffled on this.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think we got overwhelmed by Lamar and sort of
- 3:18Speaker 1: the stats, and but I'm in love with his Eagles defense.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They've been playing better and better. I think you, Mighty,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I don't think you liked them as much as I did.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And there was great fear of Lamar. But let's start
- 3:32Speaker 1: with Pittsburgh at Cincinnati. I get I guess like we
- 3:38Speaker 1: feel like we've been catching a falling knife all season
- 3:40Speaker 1: with the Steelers. Is that how you felt betting them
- 3:44Speaker 1: as dogs, fading them as favorites. We discussed it on
- 3:46Speaker 1: the show earlier this week. We just felt like we
- 3:49Speaker 1: were pressing our luck.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I think a little bit, but I'll eat it it
- 3:53Speaker 2: just I disrespected Russell Wilson too much. I really did
- 3:58Speaker 2: not think he had this game minimum. Honestly, I really
- 4:01Speaker 2: did think that this would big type of game where
- 4:03Speaker 2: the Bengals would put up thirty and they would just
- 4:05Speaker 2: roll offensively. And yeah, the Russell Wilson think, I just
- 4:10Speaker 2: I did not. I'll be the first time I did
- 4:12Speaker 2: not see coming. Man. I think the key threw four
- 4:15Speaker 2: four hundred yards. I mean he started the game with
- 4:17Speaker 2: the pick six and didn't even matter, Like that's a
- 4:21Speaker 2: legit VET seen it all, been there, done it, don't care.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Just a great game. Like it sucks to where we
- 4:29Speaker 2: were on them. I go to Thanksgiving. I still like
- 4:32Speaker 2: them at Thanksgiving, and then you know, I get together
- 4:34Speaker 2: with the guys Friday. So I'm in the house with
- 4:36Speaker 2: a bunch of the runners and a lot of the
- 4:38Speaker 2: guys talking are like, yeah, I like Cincy, and then
- 4:41Speaker 2: I see Doctor Nick's luck rankings. I'm like, oh shit,
- 4:44Speaker 2: so that's another spot to take Cincy. And then I
- 4:47Speaker 2: read Evans trend article and he had an amazing trend
- 4:49Speaker 2: about dogs in this exact spot for his favorites, in
- 4:52Speaker 2: the spot where it's like historically great to take them,
- 4:55Speaker 2: and it's like, okay, this just lines up persons spot.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like I said, the Pittsburgh is due to lose some
- 5:01Speaker 2: game as a dog. I mean now they're five and
- 5:02Speaker 2: oh this season it's incredible. I mean they're they're just
- 5:06Speaker 2: so tough to get a read on, and you know,
- 5:09Speaker 2: they were what the most heavily bet public dog this
- 5:13Speaker 2: week didn't matter. I mean they cash. Everyone had them
- 5:16Speaker 2: on the money line, just like the Eagles and came through.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So yeah, bad miss by me. Bad reading. It's like
- 5:23Speaker 2: brutal where it's like I gained my forced in. But
- 5:26Speaker 2: obviously seeing what happened with Atlanta the Colts, I felt
- 5:32Speaker 2: okay because it was like, those are the two you
- 5:33Speaker 2: were trying to get and I was just like, fuck, dude,
- 5:36Speaker 2: please don't make me put those two in.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess the only thing that sucked, but yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 1: I would have liked. I would have liked if we
- 5:41Speaker 1: had considered the Steelers at three and a half, right
- 5:44Speaker 1: like we did, right, right, right.
- 5:45Speaker 2: But I never would have put them in at three
- 5:46Speaker 2: and a half.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Honestly, we were so locked in. And by the way,
- 5:50Speaker 1: the Bucks just missed the field goal. So now the
- 5:53Speaker 1: Panthers are getting the ball at the forty yard line,
- 5:56Speaker 1: forty something yard line as we continue to wait out
- 5:59Speaker 1: the end of this game.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But don't jenks it, don't mention until the game's done.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Now for him not saying anything, I know, just almost
- 6:04Speaker 2: anything from now on until the game's over, nothing's being said,
- 6:08Speaker 2: I need this win by Carolina.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So we didn't even consider it. Russell Wilson had two
- 6:15Speaker 1: hundred and fifty seven yards in the first half. I
- 6:18Speaker 1: think we failed to consider just truly how bad this
- 6:22Speaker 1: Bucks defense, this Bengals defense is, and he had four
- 6:26Speaker 1: hundred and fourteen for the game.
- 6:28Speaker 2: There was Is that a franchise record?
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's the most he's ever thrown for.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I believe it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's incredible to me. There was one sequence that towards
- 6:41Speaker 1: the end of the first half that nails why we
- 6:44Speaker 1: bet the Steelers, why we don't bet the Bengals, and
- 6:47Speaker 1: we lost our way. We should have been smarter. We
- 6:50Speaker 1: learned our lesson TJ. What the Bengals are driving. They're
- 6:53Speaker 1: trading touchdowns back and forth, back and forth, back and forth,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and it really feels like the Bengals can kind of
- 6:57Speaker 1: do whatever they want. Joe Burrow is just dining. TJ.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Watt forces a Joe Burrow fumble. Burrow is stepping up
- 7:08Speaker 1: in the pocket, scrambling to the edge. Burrow chases him
- 7:11Speaker 1: down from behind, knocks the ball loose, and the next
- 7:15Speaker 1: series this the and then later in the later in
- 7:18Speaker 1: so that ends the drive. Right before the two minute warning,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's fourth and one for Cincinnati about midfield. They're going
- 7:25Speaker 1: forward and fourth down, and they actually draw the Steelers
- 7:28Speaker 1: off sides, but the refs because the Bengals offensive line reacts,
- 7:34Speaker 1: they actually call the false start in the Bengals and
- 7:36Speaker 1: you can clearly see the replay that it was the
- 7:37Speaker 1: Steelers who went off side and they were reacting. So
- 7:40Speaker 1: now it's fourth and sixth. They punt the Steelers because
- 7:43Speaker 1: they're veterans and they're good at this, and they take
- 7:45Speaker 1: advantage of mistakes and good calls. This is where the
- 7:49Speaker 1: luck comes into play with a veteran team. All of
- 7:52Speaker 1: a sudden, they're down twenty they're up twenty four to
- 7:56Speaker 1: twenty one, and then they they take the ball in
- 7:59Speaker 1: the start the second half, they're up twenty seven to
- 8:00Speaker 1: twenty one. The Bengals never get closer than three of
- 8:03Speaker 1: the rest of the game. Like good team versus bad teams,
- 8:07Speaker 1: that's the bottom line. And we were enamored with Joe Burrow.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I think we were. I think at the end of it,
- 8:11Speaker 1: it was the Joe Burrow stats more than anything.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm shocking to mention this though. To me, the
- 8:15Speaker 2: game flipped on this really simple possession in the first quarter.
- 8:18Speaker 2: It was fourteen to seven Bengals. They get a stop
- 8:21Speaker 2: and it's fourth and three on Pittsburgh's own thirty eight,
- 8:25Speaker 2: and fucking Tomlin went for it. I was like, holy shit,
- 8:29Speaker 2: did he really just do that? He knew that it
- 8:31Speaker 2: was going to be a gunfight, he really did. I mean,
- 8:35Speaker 2: we talk how lucky he is, how great of a
- 8:37Speaker 2: coach is, Like those are the type of moments where
- 8:38Speaker 2: he has so much equity. Who else can pull that
- 8:41Speaker 2: off in that exact moment. It was crazy how ballsy
- 8:43Speaker 2: it was, and it shook that since the defense because
- 8:47Speaker 2: they realize, oh, you got to stop us in all
- 8:49Speaker 2: four downs. This ain't going to be a three down
- 8:52Speaker 2: type of day. So that to me kind of flipped
- 8:55Speaker 2: the game because it was fourteen seven since he was
- 8:57Speaker 2: about to get the ball back, and yeah, that was
- 9:00Speaker 2: just an incredible move by Tomlin. Yeah, this Pittsburgh team,
- 9:05Speaker 2: they're special. I really can't wait for them in the playoffs.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Like they're this type of team that like we're gonna
- 9:10Speaker 2: get a good number on them when they're playing whoever
- 9:13Speaker 2: it is the Ravens or the Bills or Since or
- 9:16Speaker 2: the Chiefs. It's like they're just this really really fun
- 9:20Speaker 2: team right now where you just nailed it. It's like
- 9:21Speaker 2: their offense showed up, but when they're need their defense
- 9:24Speaker 2: need to make big plays, they made them like that
- 9:27Speaker 2: played by JJ Watt. You know, even the second half,
- 9:30Speaker 2: they just they adjusted really well. Where the Bengals, like
- 9:33Speaker 2: you said, they're a bad team, their defense had no
- 9:35Speaker 2: adjustments to make. They just they have no pieces on
- 9:37Speaker 2: that team.
- 9:38Speaker 1: By the way, the Pittsburgh Steelers have now one nine games,
- 9:41Speaker 1: so again Mike Tomlin has gone over his win total
- 9:47Speaker 1: and they will finish the season over five hundred, which
- 9:52Speaker 1: means he has never finished below five hundred in his career.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I mean, the guy is a freak and he is
- 9:58Speaker 1: a Hall of Fame coach. He just there is all
- 10:00Speaker 1: the accolades, all the credit. I cannot wait to talk
- 10:03Speaker 1: about fading him next week as a big, big home favorite.
- 10:07Speaker 1: We're going to talk about it later in the show. Hey, reminder,
- 10:10Speaker 1: the Favorites podcast watch party is just weeks away. It's
- 10:14Speaker 1: time to RSVP everybody. Thursday, December twelfth, the Wicked Wolf
- 10:19Speaker 1: in Center City, Philadelphia. We're doing free drinks, live Q
- 10:23Speaker 1: and A with me and Simon. Matt Mitchell's gonna be there.
- 10:26Speaker 1: We're gonna hang out six to eight pm and then
- 10:28Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about the games. We're gonna sweat some bets.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Then we're gonna watch the Rams forty nine ers Thursday
- 10:34Speaker 1: Night Football. To our SVP check out the link in
- 10:37Speaker 1: the podcast description page where the YouTube episode description. Simon
- 10:41Speaker 1: and I are going to tweet it out as well.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Space is limited, oursvps are pouring in. Do not delay,
- 10:48Speaker 1: all right, the next game. I wish we hadn't we'd
- 10:51Speaker 1: considered this game, but we loved this game. Thought we
- 10:55Speaker 1: were so smart. Even Raybaund loved this game too. We
- 10:58Speaker 1: talked about it and unconvinced me and convinced me to
- 10:59Speaker 1: take it on the show Tennessee. We added at plus
- 11:03Speaker 1: five and a half at Washington, so the game started
- 11:06Speaker 1: at one PM. I don't know if the Titans actually
- 11:11Speaker 1: knew that, because they didn't show up until two thirty,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and from two thirty to the end of the game.
- 11:18Speaker 1: In the Chad Millman incredibly optimistic rose colored glasses view
- 11:24Speaker 1: of the world, they totally won and our handicap was
- 11:28Speaker 1: spot on because they beat the Commanders from two thirty
- 11:31Speaker 1: until the end of the game nineteen to fourteen. The
- 11:34Speaker 1: bad news is the Commander showed up at one o'clock
- 11:37Speaker 1: and scored four touchdowns on their four four drives. I
- 11:40Speaker 1: mean that was apocalyptically bad for the Titans. They were dreadful.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and again we'll get to the next game. We
- 11:49Speaker 2: were staying at the time. I went through in the
- 11:51Speaker 2: face and all three bets were looking like awful, awful bets,
- 11:55Speaker 2: like everything like that.
- 11:56Speaker 1: By double digits, they were dead freaking down.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was just sitting there just like holy shit.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Even though we dodge all those other bullets. We are
- 12:04Speaker 2: still just slipping into this mud right now. Like I
- 12:08Speaker 2: was literally sitting there just like, man, I'm struggling this
- 12:11Speaker 2: year obviously, but I was like, I am totally out
- 12:14Speaker 2: of my depth right now, Like I am totally misreading
- 12:16Speaker 2: the board. How could I misread this one so wrong?
- 12:19Speaker 2: And yeah, it was just bad luck. Like now that
- 12:22Speaker 2: we're like going back talk about the Tennessee game. I mean,
- 12:25Speaker 2: how many stupid fumbles happened in that game? Like, dude,
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'll tell you exactly how Pollard's first fumble of the season.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It was just like, Okay, this is that game where
- 12:33Speaker 2: everything's going to go wrong in the flip side, Washington
- 12:37Speaker 2: like a damn breaking you gave them a little bit
- 12:40Speaker 2: of a groove like that running game Robinson, like we
- 12:42Speaker 2: talked about that sets up that whole offense when Robinson
- 12:44Speaker 2: gets going.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Dude, let me answer your question, all right, are you ready?
- 12:48Speaker 1: The first Washington drive three plays, forty yard touchdown run.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The second drive in the first quarter eleven plays, touchdown.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Third drive in the first quarter, after recovering a Titans fumble,
- 13:04Speaker 1: that Tony Pollard fumble, they threw to a wide open
- 13:07Speaker 1: Terry McLaurin. Of all the people that you're gonna cover
- 13:09Speaker 1: for the Commanders, you gotta cover Terry McLaurin. It's honest
- 13:12Speaker 1: to God when I say the Titans didn't know the
- 13:14Speaker 1: game started at one o'clock, I don't even think they
- 13:16Speaker 1: were on the field when he scored the touchdown. If
- 13:18Speaker 1: you're gonna go back and watch the all twenty two,
- 13:20Speaker 1: when you're gonna see everybody who is supposed to be
- 13:23Speaker 1: covering Terry McLaurin is on the other half of the field,
- 13:28Speaker 1: he is so wide open.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's only when those players they're doing a zone
- 13:31Speaker 2: and they got points to him when he's running by them. Nobody, nobody, Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 2: where you pointing to? There's no one there. So yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 2: that was that was awful.
- 13:39Speaker 1: If you look at the play by play, it's crazy
- 13:43Speaker 1: because if you look at the play by play, normally
- 13:44Speaker 1: it's like Commanders Titans, Commanders Titans or whoever, it's like Eagles, Ravens,
- 13:50Speaker 1: Eagles Ravens. Right this there was no Titans section. It
- 13:54Speaker 1: just went Commanders and then Commanders because the Titans fumbled
- 13:57Speaker 1: the kickoff and the Commanders score a touchdown. After that touchdown,
- 14:01Speaker 1: Simon Washington had more plays twenty five than the Titans
- 14:08Speaker 1: had yards. That's how bad it was. And it wasn't
- 14:11Speaker 1: even here's the thing, it wasn't even Will Levis's fault
- 14:15Speaker 1: at that point.
- 14:16Speaker 2: No, Like we just said, though, it was just a
- 14:18Speaker 2: co It's just a ton of bad luck for a
- 14:20Speaker 2: team that is bad. So yeah, just again, I'm just
- 14:26Speaker 2: sitting there in my gosh, I'm just like questioning my
- 14:28Speaker 2: whole life decision.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Wheun.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'm like, this week is going to be a total wash.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But can we get to the glimmer of hope.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We'll get to the glimmer of hope because at this point, Simon,
- 14:39Speaker 1: the Jets who we had taken out were actually kind
- 14:43Speaker 1: of dominating.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that was another one. You were just like, oh
- 14:47Speaker 2: my god, did we mess up?
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, because we had the Jets at plus two and
- 14:51Speaker 1: a half and they were taking a what twenty one
- 14:54Speaker 1: to seven lead, and we're just cruising and so I'm like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: are you and the Colts actually at one point it
- 15:04Speaker 1: looked like not only were we owing three to start
- 15:06Speaker 1: the day, but the games we liked and taken out
- 15:09Speaker 1: and it taken out were actually going to cover easily.
- 15:15Speaker 1: We took out the Colts. We put in the Jacksonville
- 15:17Speaker 1: Jaguars and tell me true. At plus three and a half,
- 15:20Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence was knocked out. Did you just stop paying
- 15:22Speaker 1: attention to the game at this point?
- 15:25Speaker 2: I mean I raged for a good minute like a
- 15:27Speaker 2: ten year old, where I was just like, like, if
- 15:29Speaker 2: that was Jalen Hurts. I'm sure Matt Mitchell feels the
- 15:31Speaker 2: same way if it was Josh Allen. A cheap shot
- 15:33Speaker 2: like that on your star quarterback, it's like the closest
- 15:37Speaker 2: thing to bringing me to tears as a grown man.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Like that and the military commercials of the guys coming
- 15:41Speaker 2: home and surprising their kids, those are the two things.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Like those things get me every time.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Every time. But that cheap shot. It's a reason we
- 15:48Speaker 2: protect these quarterback because it's just like, I can't stand it, right,
- 15:52Speaker 2: even if he slid a little late, he was going
- 15:54Speaker 2: down that guy through forums at his head, ye like
- 15:57Speaker 2: he took a shot to take him out. It was
- 15:59Speaker 2: just so dirty And the stupidest play in the NFL
- 16:02Speaker 2: happens where the team retaliates and they throw an offsetting penalty,
- 16:06Speaker 2: so you don't even get rewarded for your QB just
- 16:07Speaker 2: getting decapitated. It's just I hate it. I hate it
- 16:11Speaker 2: so much. So yeah, no, in that exact moment, my
- 16:14Speaker 2: first law was, well, if they drive and get a
- 16:16Speaker 2: touchdown here, maybe our BET's not totally dead. Instead, it
- 16:20Speaker 2: went onto a run of a field goal, a missed
- 16:23Speaker 2: field goal, and at one point they're down whatever. It
- 16:26Speaker 2: was twenty three to six, and it's just not just.
- 16:28Speaker 1: That, not just a field goal and a missed field goal.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Mac Jones missed two wide open, wide open, wide open touchdowns.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I was like, what is going on today?
- 16:44Speaker 2: He's horrible.
- 16:45Speaker 1: At one point, you know, I I bet with all
- 16:50Speaker 1: my buddies and they'll send me their money and I'll
- 16:54Speaker 1: bet for them for the season. And this has not
- 16:57Speaker 1: been a great year for us. And so at one
- 17:00Speaker 1: point a buddy texted me just said he just said man,
- 17:06Speaker 1: because he follows in the app he goes man rough day,
- 17:10Speaker 1: but I still love you, and I just texted back,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm like, we're not done yet, and a big exclamation
- 17:17Speaker 1: point and the Jags if this is the movie, this
- 17:21Speaker 1: is when like we start our comeback because Mac Jones,
- 17:27Speaker 1: this is not what we expected. But it's why you
- 17:30Speaker 1: play the number and why we decided to put this
- 17:33Speaker 1: game in. Are you ready? In the final two drives
- 17:38Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter, we were down twenty three to six.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The only way we cover is two touchdowns and at
- 17:46Speaker 1: least one two point conversion in these final two drives.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Mac Jones. I counted this. I went into the play
- 17:57Speaker 1: by play and counted this. Thirteen of seventeen for one
- 18:01Speaker 1: hundred and twenty nine yards, two touchdown passes, and on
- 18:06Speaker 1: the second touchdown drive, a two point conversion. Yeah, but
- 18:12Speaker 1: the game he was only twenty to thirty two for
- 18:15Speaker 1: two thirty five, So basically thirteen of his twenty completions
- 18:21Speaker 1: happened in that run of two drives. Not what we expected,
- 18:26Speaker 1: but we'll take it.
- 18:28Speaker 2: No, it's just again we always talk about you need
- 18:31Speaker 2: a little bit of luck for what we do here,
- 18:32Speaker 2: and we've just been really unlucky this season, just mainly
- 18:36Speaker 2: about the kickers, Like that kicker missing that field goal.
- 18:38Speaker 2: In these type of games, when you have the backup
- 18:40Speaker 2: coming in, you're usually not going to cover. It's just
- 18:42Speaker 2: like you can't not have those points, right, and just
- 18:46Speaker 2: that that's a formula for you to lose those type
- 18:48Speaker 2: of games. I mean, that's what just happened to the Panthers, right,
- 18:50Speaker 2: Panthers probably should have won that game if they had
- 18:53Speaker 2: a kicker, And the same kind of thing goes here
- 18:54Speaker 2: with the Jacks team, where if they had a kicker
- 18:56Speaker 2: and Taylor Lawrence played a full game, they probably still
- 18:59Speaker 2: win that game. Their defense played really well.
- 19:01Speaker 1: They were playing they were playing really well. Their defense
- 19:03Speaker 1: was playing great, and even though they were losing early
- 19:07Speaker 1: with Trevor, I felt like we're in this, like we
- 19:10Speaker 1: got it. We got a pretty good shot here.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and like they kept stopping the red zone again.
- 19:14Speaker 2: It was six nothing when he went out and his
- 19:15Speaker 2: team was driving. But like you said, that's just we
- 19:19Speaker 2: played the number. And thank god you checked your phone
- 19:22Speaker 2: because we literally got the call. Just like you know,
- 19:24Speaker 2: I'm heading out to the book to go make some
- 19:26Speaker 2: bets and get ready for the games, and I'm like,
- 19:28Speaker 2: oh my god, how did we not even talk about
- 19:30Speaker 2: this team where it was like literally my second biggest
- 19:32Speaker 2: brother day with the Jaguars. But we always talk about
- 19:36Speaker 2: the numbers, the key and if it was three or
- 19:38Speaker 2: two and a half, we don't play it because we
- 19:40Speaker 2: still have the hook and the contest. It's like we
- 19:42Speaker 2: got to get the three and a half in there,
- 19:44Speaker 2: and yeah, I don't know who you texted, was Matt
- 19:46Speaker 2: Mitch whoever it was. They they changed the Colts out
- 19:49Speaker 2: put in the Jaguars, and that flips us from being
- 19:53Speaker 2: one and three right now to two and two.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Brother, Yeah, too bad. We didn't keep that theory with
- 20:00Speaker 1: the Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Otherwise we'd be having
- 20:04Speaker 1: an entirely different conversation. But it all evens out like
- 20:10Speaker 1: in the end, we wouldn't have had the Jags and
- 20:12Speaker 1: we wouldn't have had Carolina. We would have been with
- 20:15Speaker 1: you know, the Steelers and the Eagles and the Jets
- 20:19Speaker 1: and the Colts, and we'd be two and two and
- 20:21Speaker 1: sitting on the Broncos on Monday night, you know what
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't be fate. We were stuck to and
- 20:27Speaker 2: two no matter what we did.
- 20:28Speaker 1: We were going to be two and two, no matter what.
- 20:30Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 20:31Speaker 1: There's no sliding doors here. We're just two and two.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You miss. You mentioned the missing Kickers, the kickers, missing
- 20:39Speaker 1: Jesus Christ Eddie Pinero. We had Carolina plus six and
- 20:43Speaker 1: a half and they dominated the first half like Baker
- 20:46Speaker 1: was seven sixteen seven and sixteen with a late first
- 20:50Speaker 1: half pick that led to a field goal for the Panthers.
- 20:55Speaker 1: But Eddie Pinero, he missed from thirty eight, he missed
- 20:59Speaker 1: from forty five, squeaked one in barely from twenty seven
- 21:04Speaker 1: to and a half. And this was after we kind
- 21:06Speaker 1: of got robbed by the refs on a touchdown who
- 21:09Speaker 1: said Adam Thielen did not catch a ball that looked
- 21:13Speaker 1: very caught in the first half or a touchdown Like
- 21:19Speaker 1: Bryce is getting better every week and he's elevating his
- 21:21Speaker 1: game from like manager to straight baller. He is facing
- 21:25Speaker 1: down blitzes, He's thrown dimes while on the run, like
- 21:29Speaker 1: he had nearly two hundred yards passing in the first half.
- 21:32Speaker 1: They lost that game. They didn't lose it because of Bryce.
- 21:35Speaker 1: They lost it because their defense couldn't stop Bucky Irving
- 21:39Speaker 1: in the second half, who finished the day with nearly
- 21:40Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty years rushing, and they fumbled in
- 21:44Speaker 1: overtime while they were driving for the game winning field goal.
- 21:47Speaker 1: So I feel like this Panthers team is finally the
- 21:51Speaker 1: team that we thought they would be early in the year.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Definitely inn't even a defense. I mean, they played really well,
- 21:58Speaker 2: like you said they had the turnovers, they had sacks,
- 22:00Speaker 2: ton of pressure on Baker, but the kicker just he
- 22:05Speaker 2: ruined the whole game because they should have been up
- 22:06Speaker 2: a nine and a half and you don't. We're not
- 22:08Speaker 2: here talking about bucket, Irvon. They could. When you're only
- 22:10Speaker 2: down by three, you don't have to change anything you're
- 22:12Speaker 2: doing offensive. You can lean on the run. If you're
- 22:15Speaker 2: down nine, it's gonna put more into Baker, which we
- 22:17Speaker 2: won it. Honestly, this is a this is a really
- 22:19Speaker 2: bad Baker game. Like when Baker's off, he is really off.
- 22:22Speaker 2: He could not find like his picks were terrible. The
- 22:25Speaker 2: one he threw incredibly late the end of that first half,
- 22:28Speaker 2: like you're talking about the one the second half, I
- 22:30Speaker 2: mean he put it right into a guy's chest after
- 22:31Speaker 2: he pretty much had gotten injured to play before. So
- 22:35Speaker 2: bad Baker game. Tampa found a way to win, right
- 22:38Speaker 2: like you just said, the little things went their way
- 22:41Speaker 2: where they had the missfield goals on the Carolina side,
- 22:44Speaker 2: then the fumbleing overtime after they had missed the field goal,
- 22:46Speaker 2: and yeah, it's a huge game for them. Now. I
- 22:49Speaker 2: mean we talked about they dropped those games to Atlanta,
- 22:52Speaker 2: but there's still an outside chance that can see this
- 22:55Speaker 2: division and anyone like me that's a SIKO that really
- 22:57Speaker 2: wanted Carolina win this game. They were like forty to
- 23:00Speaker 2: one to win this division before this game. If they
- 23:02Speaker 2: would have won this, that would have dropped to like
- 23:04Speaker 2: what fifteen to one, twenty one, like it really would
- 23:07Speaker 2: have jumped up because this would have been a huge
- 23:08Speaker 2: win for them. And I'm so happy we haven't checked
- 23:12Speaker 2: out on this team because it's it's what three straight
- 23:14Speaker 2: weeks now we bet them and they keep coming through
- 23:17Speaker 2: for us, So maybe we hop off, but they're clearly
- 23:20Speaker 2: a different team right now and the books haven't caught
- 23:22Speaker 2: up to it yet.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I listen a couple of things on that I don't
- 23:26Speaker 1: know if we're going to hop off, because the number
- 23:28Speaker 1: next week for their game, which we'll talk about in
- 23:29Speaker 1: week fourteen, is massive. Caroline has covered four straight and
- 23:36Speaker 1: you're right, like, we walked away from them because there
- 23:39Speaker 1: was we felt so badly betting them. They were not
- 23:44Speaker 1: living up to what we believed their capabilities were based
- 23:49Speaker 1: on our prognostication for the beginning of the year, so
- 23:52Speaker 1: we couldn't conceivably bet them and feel good telling people
- 23:54Speaker 1: to bet them, but they've been sneaking back the past month.
- 23:58Speaker 1: We didn't choose them. Think the first time we bet them,
- 24:02Speaker 1: but we liked them, and then we did choose them.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think the past two or three weeks people aren't
- 24:08Speaker 1: paying attention like it. At one point they did an
- 24:11Speaker 1: overhead shot of the stadium and it was pretty empty,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and like I said to my I said to my son,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I'm like, God, it's so empty. Do people not know
- 24:21Speaker 1: that the Panthers are balling right now and that Bryce
- 24:24Speaker 1: Young could actually be a really good quarterback and he's
- 24:27Speaker 1: throwing accurate passes while getting chased and rolling out of
- 24:31Speaker 1: the pocket, and he's been amazing. He looks at me,
- 24:34Speaker 1: he goes, I don't think that stadium's going to be
- 24:38Speaker 1: full in your lifetime. I felt really bad for the
- 24:43Speaker 1: Panthers because ladies are better. They're a fun team. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: like their coach, their quarterbacks playing well. Get on a badwagon.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Obviously, I don't feel bad for Caroline. They had a
- 24:53Speaker 2: great role with Cam Newte. I mean that twenty fifteen year,
- 24:55Speaker 2: what was that fifteen to one? They went to the
- 24:56Speaker 2: super Bowl and obviously losing this rule was brutal, but yeah,
- 25:01Speaker 2: they had their time to shot. I mean they had
- 25:03Speaker 2: they sold off to the stadium a little bit a
- 25:05Speaker 2: long time ago. But you're right, like it's it's not
- 25:08Speaker 2: shocking when you see they're staying empty right now. They're
- 25:10Speaker 2: just totally abandoned by their fan base.
- 25:13Speaker 1: People got to get on the bad wagon. This team's
- 25:15Speaker 1: coming around. We're gonna be talking about them a lot
- 25:17Speaker 1: next year. Uh, this was my favorite thing. So, like,
- 25:22Speaker 1: you know, we're regretful about the Steelers not putting them in.
- 25:25Speaker 1: We're regretful about uh, the Eagles and taking them out,
- 25:29Speaker 1: but we're super glad that we put the Jags in.
- 25:35Speaker 1: We're super glad that we put the Panthers in. We're
- 25:38Speaker 1: super glad to be two and two.
- 25:40Speaker 2: You're not remember for all the Chargers though you love
- 25:42Speaker 2: the Chargers on Tuesday and then today you were totally
- 25:44Speaker 2: off of them.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what those are.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Foxhill or your exact decision, right, it was one of.
- 25:48Speaker 1: The foxhol and here, Honestly, we keep fucking doing this
- 25:52Speaker 1: And I don't know why. I need to do a
- 25:53Speaker 1: better job of paying attention to my notes from earlier
- 25:55Speaker 1: in the week. Yeah, because we were so like so
- 26:01Speaker 1: on the Steelers, on the Eagles, on the Chargers, and
- 26:06Speaker 1: I feel like when you and I are doing the
- 26:08Speaker 1: handicapping Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, we're on it and we're good
- 26:13Speaker 1: and we are getting I think because like there have
- 26:16Speaker 1: been some unlucky bounces for us and maybe some bad handicaps,
- 26:19Speaker 1: and we got behind the eight ball earlier in the year.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I think we're leaning too much into what we're hearing
- 26:25Speaker 1: and some trends and not focused on what we know
- 26:30Speaker 1: and when we have clarity, and I think we're we're
- 26:35Speaker 1: getting antsy later in the week, and I like.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I still think it's just been bad luck. I mean,
- 26:40Speaker 2: like we just said, we've been capping the good games,
- 26:42Speaker 2: but the charges one just it's just brutal because exactly
- 26:45Speaker 2: what we talked about happened. We just said, that's their
- 26:48Speaker 2: style of defense is the one that gives huge problems
- 26:50Speaker 2: to Kirk Cousins. He threw fucking what foreignerceptions today? He
- 26:54Speaker 2: was brutal.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess my issue with that was I was
- 26:57Speaker 1: really worried that the they were so injured on defense
- 27:04Speaker 1: and JK. Dobbins was out and their.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Well offense look different without them, right, they only put
- 27:09Speaker 2: up ten points today without the six.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I was just that was my concern, is like I
- 27:15Speaker 1: got antsy about sort of all of the injuries. I
- 27:19Speaker 1: think DJ Reid speaks for all of us. Did you
- 27:23Speaker 1: see what he did after the Jets lost to the
- 27:26Speaker 1: Seahawks sent out a tweet tagged the NFL officials, y'all
- 27:30Speaker 1: fucking suck. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I think
- 27:35Speaker 1: it's going to cost him. Yeah, but these games are excruciating.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I honestly, like it's so frustrating to watch every There's
- 27:46Speaker 1: got to be a study about between the penalties and
- 27:49Speaker 1: the injuries. There must be thirty to forty percent of
- 27:53Speaker 1: the game is stopped be in relation to the plays
- 27:58Speaker 1: because of all the penalties injuries. It's just excruciating to
- 28:02Speaker 1: watch these games. One more thing for you. Nick Westbrook Akina,
- 28:08Speaker 1: who played football at the playoff bound Indiana University playing
- 28:14Speaker 1: for the Hoosiers twenty catches this year, eight touchdowns, including
- 28:18Speaker 1: four touchdowns in the past three games. That's crazy, Scott,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I mean balling out for the Tennessee Titans. Was it
- 28:25Speaker 1: showing up at one o'clock when everyone else is showing
- 28:27Speaker 1: up at two thirty.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I think I saw was a Valdez Scaling. There's I
- 28:31Speaker 2: think it's someone for New Orleans who just got traded
- 28:33Speaker 2: to him. He has four touchdowns in like four straight games.
- 28:36Speaker 1: That's my other note. Marquez Veldez Scaling has four touchdowns
- 28:39Speaker 1: and four games with.
- 28:39Speaker 2: This sounds that is so bizarre.
- 28:42Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about some Week fourteen games. We
- 28:46Speaker 1: talked about Carolina Carolina before we came on air, so
- 28:50Speaker 1: I don't know if the line has moved. Was a
- 28:52Speaker 1: thirteen point underdog at Philadelphia?
- 28:56Speaker 2: Still thirteen? Yeah, they just said in our chat still thirteen,
- 28:59Speaker 2: So yeah, it's how do we not bet it? That's
- 29:01Speaker 2: that is incredibly high. But this is one that I
- 29:04Speaker 2: could bet it now, and I wouldn't be shocked if
- 29:07Speaker 2: I moved off this position right now once I've read
- 29:09Speaker 2: in more into it. But because Carolina is I don't
- 29:15Speaker 2: know how they stop Saquon that. I mean, we just
- 29:17Speaker 2: saw what happened to you with Buck Irphen and that's like,
- 29:21Speaker 2: I mean, Saquan again today, that's a really good run
- 29:24Speaker 2: defense in the Ravens. I think you'reran for over one
- 29:26Speaker 2: hundred yards today, Like he really is out of this
- 29:29Speaker 2: playing out of this sport right now. This Eagles team
- 29:31Speaker 2: is just so dominant, not just offensively, we defensively. They
- 29:36Speaker 2: held a really great offense in the Ravens and check today.
- 29:38Speaker 2: So yeah, they're complete teams. So I get why they've
- 29:41Speaker 2: opened this at thirteen, but I think me and you
- 29:43Speaker 2: both agree this feels like too many points to open
- 29:45Speaker 2: with it.
- 29:45Speaker 1: It does, I do, I do worry about the line
- 29:50Speaker 1: of scrimmage and the Eagles just dominating. Yeah, they're so
- 29:56Speaker 1: freaking good defensively.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Three seven? Is that? That?
- 29:59Speaker 1: To me?
- 30:00Speaker 2: The fear with these type of games where it's like
- 30:01Speaker 2: if Carolina kicks three field goals and the Eagles got
- 30:05Speaker 2: three touchdowns and it's twenty one to nine, Yeah, we
- 30:07Speaker 2: know that it could just be a steamroll in the
- 30:09Speaker 2: second half. That's definitely a fear. Like you're mentioning.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Uh. The other game I wanted to touch on that
- 30:16Speaker 1: we talked about earlier. Cleveland is a six and a
- 30:19Speaker 1: half point underdog at Pittsburgh. So a couple things here. One,
- 30:27Speaker 1: as good as Tomlin is as a dog, he is
- 30:30Speaker 1: as bad as a favorite. This is a very good
- 30:33Speaker 1: defense for the Browns going into Pittsburgh. We just had
- 30:39Speaker 1: this game. We expect these games to be relatively close,
- 30:44Speaker 1: and it will be I expect Jamis to stink against
- 30:50Speaker 1: the Broncos, which means he will come back and be
- 30:52Speaker 1: good against the Steelers. So I haven't bet it yet,
- 30:58Speaker 1: but that feels like line and we want to take
- 31:00Speaker 1: the Browns.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm gonna wait just just because we're we're
- 31:04Speaker 2: heavy on the Broncos here, like I I'm hoping for
- 31:07Speaker 2: a double digit We just roll Broncos game, but we
- 31:10Speaker 2: know it's gonna be a sweat probably come down last possession,
- 31:13Speaker 2: get the cover. But if it is a game, they
- 31:16Speaker 2: blaw their rolling. And we just saw Pittsburgh have the
- 31:19Speaker 2: best game of the year. I mean that was incredible
- 31:22Speaker 2: how good they were offensively. So be patient. They should
- 31:26Speaker 2: they should. They should give us a seven right now.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Like I just said, though, if you want to grab
- 31:30Speaker 2: it early before it moves, you know, there's two books
- 31:34Speaker 2: or yeah, two really public books that should be legal
- 31:36Speaker 2: in your state that have six and a half's right now.
- 31:39Speaker 2: If you want to grab it now, go ahead, But
- 31:41Speaker 2: this this to me should go up to seven.
- 31:44Speaker 1: LA Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. Chargers are four and
- 31:46Speaker 1: a half.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Yeah, another interesting number. They open to that high like
- 31:51Speaker 2: that's it feels like it's only gonna come down, right,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I can't see getting any higher than that. This is
- 31:58Speaker 2: a really good Chargers team. I mean they're what they
- 32:02Speaker 2: have eight wins now, they might have eight wins at
- 32:05Speaker 2: this point. So yeah, this this Chiefs team. You know,
- 32:10Speaker 2: they played early in the year. The Chargers had literally
- 32:13Speaker 2: known their whole team was banked up at that point,
- 32:15Speaker 2: and me and you took them I think at plus
- 32:18Speaker 2: seven and a half landa RTT in the seven right,
- 32:21Speaker 2: we got that cover and by a kickoff it had
- 32:23Speaker 2: gone down to six and a half. So most people,
- 32:25Speaker 2: unfortunately didn't get the cover of the Chargers team. So
- 32:28Speaker 2: you know, that just shows how much healthier this Chargers
- 32:31Speaker 2: team is now on the flip side of the Chiefs team.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I think public reception is just, yeah, they're gonna win,
- 32:37Speaker 2: but they're not going to cover. So that's the fear.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Chat is Like, me and you have just been fading
- 32:41Speaker 2: this Chiefs team basically every week and it's been really
- 32:45Speaker 2: good to us. I don't mind going it again because
- 32:47Speaker 2: it's four and a half, I'm gonna grab that now.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But if it's three and a half come contest time.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I don't know if we forced that winning, because it's
- 32:54Speaker 2: like it feels like this should be the number. To me,
- 32:56Speaker 2: it feels right, it's four here, four to four and
- 32:58Speaker 2: a half. I'll take the value four and a half
- 33:00Speaker 2: right now, bet three six five.
- 33:02Speaker 1: How are the Chiefs tackles going to protect Patrick Mahomes.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We saw what they did against the Raiders could not
- 33:12Speaker 1: do it and nothing is going to change. And maybe
- 33:14Speaker 1: DJ Humphrey gets back. But does that make that big
- 33:17Speaker 1: of a difference. I don't know. I'm willing. I'm willing
- 33:20Speaker 1: to bet the four and a half that it doesn't
- 33:22Speaker 1: right now. It won't be a full unit, it'll be
- 33:26Speaker 1: smaller just to get the four and a half. But
- 33:28Speaker 1: it is interesting to me. Two more games that are
- 33:31Speaker 1: interesting to me. Ready, Dallas plus five and a half
- 33:38Speaker 1: at home? I think it's on Monday night versus the Bengals.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I agree with you. At first glance, it's like, yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 2: this this Bengals defense, who can they stop? The answer
- 33:51Speaker 2: might be Cooper Rush.
- 33:53Speaker 1: But it's the right number. Like I think it's inflated.
- 33:58Speaker 1: It's probably inflated by it is at least a point
- 34:01Speaker 1: and a half.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I just love that your eyes immediately went to that game. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 2: it's it's a giant home dog against a defense I
- 34:09Speaker 2: can't stop. And I agree, take take the six. This
- 34:11Speaker 2: is definitely gonna come down.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Is it at six? Are you seeing six?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yeah? I'm about through six. Five it's it's at six.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Wow, then then you have to take it. What am
- 34:21Speaker 1: I missing?
- 34:23Speaker 2: I'm shocked you didn't mention your Bears.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So much to say about the Bears.
- 34:29Speaker 2: There's still six plus six and a half minus one twenty.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I mean, we love a good coaches fired team, especially
- 34:36Speaker 2: a team where apparently your whole team was in the
- 34:38Speaker 2: locker room telling this guy he's a fucking idiot after
- 34:41Speaker 2: that game. I don't if you obviously you've heard all
- 34:43Speaker 2: the rumors, but this was huge. An organization has a
- 34:47Speaker 2: fire to coach midseason, And is it true it's one
- 34:49Speaker 2: hundred years they have never done it.
- 34:50Speaker 1: They've never done it, dude, Honestly.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Six and a half grab it.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I have. I have anecdotes and insight from this playing
- 35:00Speaker 1: the Niners by the way on the road apparently, and
- 35:05Speaker 1: I have been able to confirm this, but it's not libelous.
- 35:08Speaker 1: So I'm happy to say it. The Bears had Ebra
- 35:14Speaker 1: Flues do the nine am press conference postgit the day
- 35:18Speaker 1: after they lost, as if he was still going to
- 35:20Speaker 1: be there, and then they fired him at eleven o'clock. So,
- 35:24Speaker 1: of course, like I'm texting with my buddies, and the
- 35:28Speaker 1: first thing someone responds is clearly, time management is a
- 35:34Speaker 1: systemic issue within the organization. Number one. Number two the
- 35:39Speaker 1: Instagram post after they announced the firing. The first comment
- 35:43Speaker 1: for the Bears Instagram feed was from a fan who said,
- 35:47Speaker 1: do we get to keep the time out or does
- 35:49Speaker 1: ebra Flues get to take that with him? Which was amazing,
- 35:53Speaker 1: But apparently this is sourced by my father who told
- 36:01Speaker 1: me this story yesterday morning when I call him on
- 36:03Speaker 1: Saturdays when I'm walking the dog. That the one of
- 36:06Speaker 1: the reasons for the timing issue is that the Bears,
- 36:10Speaker 1: who have never fired a coach in the middle of
- 36:11Speaker 1: the season because they're so freaking cheap they don't want
- 36:14Speaker 1: to have to hire someone new. They had to get
- 36:18Speaker 1: the permission of Virginia McCaskey, and she either was not
- 36:22Speaker 1: awake or was not available before the press conference, and
- 36:26Speaker 1: so then it happened after the press conference when they
- 36:30Speaker 1: could finally get Virginia CASKEI to sign off on firing
- 36:33Speaker 1: him mid season.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I wonder how many more, how many new Virginias are
- 36:38Speaker 2: being born nowadays. I feel like that's an old old
- 36:40Speaker 2: name not to be.
- 36:41Speaker 1: She's one hundred years old.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, let's get the ones that jump out to
- 36:46Speaker 2: mirror away, Chad. I would love to hear your viewing
- 36:47Speaker 2: this Miami. I feel like Tua even last week that
- 36:52Speaker 2: loss was on him against Green Bay. That was kind
- 36:55Speaker 2: of like their whole team sucked. They're now at home
- 36:57Speaker 2: against this Jets team that that was their best shot.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Like Rogers looked actually good in that game. He was
- 37:04Speaker 2: moving well. And then whatever it is, I mean, maybe
- 37:07Speaker 2: it's his age. He just falls off this cliff where
- 37:10Speaker 2: he misses he throws or he just like, I mean,
- 37:13Speaker 2: you know, he missed a touchdown. The next play he
- 37:15Speaker 2: throws a pick. Like it's just been that type of
- 37:17Speaker 2: season for him. You can still get six and a
- 37:20Speaker 2: half right now in Miami and a half. That's a
- 37:23Speaker 2: line that jumps out to me.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Before we went on the air. That was at seven.
- 37:27Speaker 1: That's why I didn't say it. That's why I didn't
- 37:30Speaker 1: fly it is because it was his seven.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yeah, not shocking the professionals. I mean, we got sucked
- 37:34Speaker 2: in last week you saw. I mean Evan told talked
- 37:37Speaker 2: about it. Since they had this new head coach, they've
- 37:40Speaker 2: been a favorite every week, right even when they're a dog.
- 37:43Speaker 2: The line has moved basically every week then being a favorite,
- 37:46Speaker 2: and they've covered what that one game against Houston and
- 37:50Speaker 2: that's it. Every other one they're just getting ruined. So
- 37:53Speaker 2: I'm so happy we didn't just force that one back
- 37:55Speaker 2: in because that was a game You're right. When they
- 37:57Speaker 2: were up, I was like, how did we switch down that?
- 38:00Speaker 2: Because I did bet the two and a half. I
- 38:02Speaker 2: did bet their money line when they were a big dog.
- 38:04Speaker 2: But luckily the fighty senses went off with us and
- 38:06Speaker 2: we were just like, nah, nah, this numbers move too much.
- 38:09Speaker 2: They suck. I'm not. I feel like I'm gonna try
- 38:12Speaker 2: to hold my ground this week with it where it's
- 38:14Speaker 2: like this is a good matchup for this Miami team
- 38:17Speaker 2: and this every game for them is a playoff game Miami,
- 38:21Speaker 2: but like this is really a game where we should
- 38:24Speaker 2: see that they are a better team than the Jets.
- 38:26Speaker 2: That one jumps out. Would love to hear your view
- 38:29Speaker 2: on this Green Bay game.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I flagged it. I wrote it down Green Bay plus
- 38:35Speaker 1: four at Detroit Thursday night. Detroit's got eighteen people on
- 38:40Speaker 1: the defensive side of the ball that are on the
- 38:42Speaker 1: injury list right now. Yeah, I don't know how you
- 38:47Speaker 1: bet on Detroit. This just feels like a game. Obviously,
- 38:52Speaker 1: they need it, Like Minnesota is right behind them, Philadelphia
- 38:57Speaker 1: is right behind them. They can out of Ford to
- 39:00Speaker 1: lose any ground at all if they want to be
- 39:02Speaker 1: able to stay in Detroit throughout the playoffs. But man,
- 39:08Speaker 1: this team is struggling and they they should have won
- 39:11Speaker 1: that game forty two or nothing. They could not score
- 39:14Speaker 1: in the red zone, they kicked field goals, they fumbled.
- 39:18Speaker 1: You know, it's it's so frustrating because we love the
- 39:21Speaker 1: lines in that game and they really dominated. But in
- 39:24Speaker 1: the second half, every other play someone got injured. And
- 39:27Speaker 1: if not for ebra Fluse not understanding the you know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: rules of clock management, the Bears might win that game
- 39:36Speaker 1: because the lines didn't have anybody left. So I feel
- 39:41Speaker 1: like the Packers are confident. It's a great spot for them.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'd lean Packers on Thursday night at four.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's down a three and a half.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Every book now so it's.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Like, I'd still take the three and a half. I'm
- 39:52Speaker 1: getting the hook and I to me, it's about me too.
- 39:55Speaker 2: It's just one that jumped out here right away because
- 39:56Speaker 2: it's like, why is this three and a half? Because
- 39:58Speaker 2: I totally agree with everything just said this. This is
- 40:01Speaker 2: not the same Detroit team is even just two weeks ago,
- 40:04Speaker 2: Like these injuries have just piled up, and it's a
- 40:06Speaker 2: lot of key starters. It's not just special teams, guys.
- 40:10Speaker 2: These are like, okay, you're d n You're starting linebacker,
- 40:13Speaker 2: starting cornerbackers, starting safety. It's like, oh my god, man,
- 40:15Speaker 2: Like this is.
- 40:16Speaker 1: They're signing Jamal Adams to the practice squad. That's how
- 40:19Speaker 1: terrifying that it is right now for them.
- 40:22Speaker 2: So that I'm with you chat, I one that jumps
- 40:24Speaker 2: out where it's like I'm gonna take that three and
- 40:26Speaker 2: a half now while it's still there, because this line
- 40:30Speaker 2: that's gonna dip but moves enough will come on the
- 40:33Speaker 2: other side. Like I'd much rather be Undertroit honestly than
- 40:35Speaker 2: Green Bay and this spot, especially if it gets a
- 40:37Speaker 2: two and a half, because like me and Chad have
- 40:40Speaker 2: experienced it, it's it's not fun betting against Detroit, like
- 40:43Speaker 2: they're just such a high powered offense. They're really one
- 40:46Speaker 2: of those few teams that only they beat themselves like
- 40:48Speaker 2: that Bears game. I me mean you talk about they
- 40:50Speaker 2: beat themselves there, like that opening half. If if any
- 40:54Speaker 2: one of those field goals a touchdown, they cover the
- 40:56Speaker 2: nine and a half. But that was the only reasoning
- 40:58Speaker 2: to cover is because they kicked four fields. They missed
- 41:00Speaker 2: the fifth one, so.
- 41:03Speaker 1: On the five yard line.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and the funbel on the fire, so that's when
- 41:06Speaker 2: they jumped out. Interesting gave jumps on another one. Kirk
- 41:10Speaker 2: Cousins on the road in Minnesota. Are we getting lazy here?
- 41:14Speaker 2: We're going to play the revenge factor this man, it's
- 41:17Speaker 2: not I was going towards this old team.
- 41:20Speaker 1: To me, I looked at that one too, and it
- 41:24Speaker 1: felt you say lazy. I was going to say fascile.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But it's the same thing like it just it's lazy.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Take this week. It's like, oh, Kirk plus four and
- 41:32Speaker 2: a half dog against his old team.
- 41:34Speaker 1: It's to me, it's not about that. It's about Look,
- 41:39Speaker 1: the Vikings defense has not been as good as it's.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Plus six at one. I can't say the name of
- 41:46Speaker 2: the book. It's plus six right now. One book.
- 41:48Speaker 1: If it's plus six, you gotta take it. Like to me,
- 41:51Speaker 1: we got on air it was a plus five, and
- 41:53Speaker 1: I thought that was like two.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Books plus four and a half or plus five. But
- 41:57Speaker 2: this one book, one very public book is plus six
- 42:00Speaker 2: right now. That's that's too much respect for the Minnesota Vikings.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yes, Minnesota Vikings, So I agree with you.
- 42:13Speaker 2: And then just a game that caught my eye right away,
- 42:16Speaker 2: Buffalo minus three and a half against La Rams. I
- 42:21Speaker 2: have lost a small house this year betting this Rams
- 42:26Speaker 2: team at home as a dog in this exact spot.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I mean the Green Bay game, the Eagles game. This
- 42:32Speaker 2: I'm not. I can't get sucked her in it once again?
- 42:33Speaker 2: Can I?
- 42:34Speaker 1: Like?
- 42:34Speaker 2: This is literally I keep thinking this is the exact
- 42:36Speaker 2: spot this Rams team covers, and I think we're kind
- 42:38Speaker 2: of figuring out now where It's like now they're good
- 42:40Speaker 2: against really bad teams, and they just get rolled by
- 42:43Speaker 2: talented good teams. So I am fighting the demons right now,
- 42:47Speaker 2: and I'm gonna try to take this Buffalo team at
- 42:49Speaker 2: minus three and a half just in case they roll
- 42:51Speaker 2: tonight and this goes up to four to four and
- 42:52Speaker 2: a half.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not even that good against bad teams. They
- 42:58Speaker 1: barely beat the same today. There's something about that. They
- 43:02Speaker 1: are weirdly ineffective for lengthy moments of the game. They
- 43:09Speaker 1: were losing six to nothing in the first half. They
- 43:11Speaker 1: had a great opening drive, then kind of disappeared, then
- 43:15Speaker 1: they scored again, like they did not have any sustained
- 43:19Speaker 1: momentum or build on their foundational drives at all.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I love our listeners. Alana's already down the five and
- 43:28Speaker 2: a half of that book I was talking about. I
- 43:30Speaker 2: just watched it move so best, you sons of bitches.
- 43:32Speaker 2: I was really going to try to hit that myself,
- 43:34Speaker 2: so already gone.
- 43:35Speaker 1: This is what we do. We give, and we give,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and we give a lot of games on the board
