- 0:00SPEAKER_00: All right, welcome back to the podcast.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Happy Thursday.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: And this episode marks the conclusion of Spooky Lake Month.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Boom.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: We'll be revisited.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: There's lots of lakes around here.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: But next week we'll kick off our spooky season October episodes.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Got cooking up something real good for that, trust.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: But today we are gonna be reading Reddit stories that have to do with Spooky Lakes.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: So not just Pacific Northwest or No, no, no.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, of course.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: That just No Loch Ness.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: No.
- 0:36unknown: No.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: That almost counts as Northwest.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: Not northwest to the US, but Northwest to what?
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Or is it like Scotland?
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, well, northwest of the of the UK.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, well.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: They have similar environments.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: So maybe Luckness special episode will be in the future.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: It should count.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Not near future, but this first one's in response to just someone asking for their spooky stories and creepy supernatural phenomena.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: This person says, Went camping in the woods close to Crater Lake, showed up to the campsite late, like one in the morning.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Campsite was completely empty, and this was near the end of the season.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: No moon, pitch black, dead quiet, no one else within miles of us.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: We got the spooks immediately after leaving the car and while setting up our tent, like we were being watched, like there was something just beyond our view.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: We got our tent set up, unfurl our sleeping bags, and climb in.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Not five minutes later we hear this super eerie groaning noise in the distance, like tortured, pained groaning.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And because we were in the woods, it echoed very loudly, so it sounded like it was coming from every direction.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: We had no clue what the hell it was, if it was a bear or something else more paranormal that was coming to tear us limb from limb.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: We barely got any sleep because the sound would start and stop throughout the night.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I gripped the bear spray in my hands for hours.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Thankfully, nothing happened to us, and the sound finally stopped around three or four in the morning.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Whatever it was, we thought must have moved on.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: We roll out in the morning, groggy and tired, and start driving towards Crater Lake.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: We round a bend in the road and find out what it was.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Right outside the woods is a big ranch with hundreds of cattle.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: We were hearing and getting freaked out by cow moods all night.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can see how that could be creepy though.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: I mean when it's dark and you're in the middle of nowhere, you know, you just you're not really thinking rationally.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: And you wouldn't think cows.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: I almost wish they would have left that open-ended, like they didn't say a thing about the cows.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: It's funnier that it's cows though.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean kind of kills the mystery though.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Kills the mystery.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, what do you think though?
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: If you were in their shoes, creepy level.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: If you went camping in the woods by Crater Lake and you didn't show up until like one in the morning, it was dark, it was quiet, there is no one else there, and you hear these noises, what would your creepy level be?
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Um if I was in that situation, I guess.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, probably a seven or an eight, something's making noise in the woods.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: It could be the the Sasquatch's mating again.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Correct.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: So you never know.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Especially if I'm in the woods.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no thanks.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Just pitch black.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And I mean, believability, I guess I would say this is a ten.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Dude, it's cows.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: No, I know, but I believe that this is.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: Hey man, couldn't be me.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Maybe it was a minotaur.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: One or two, and then they just blend it in, they turn in the cows and blend it in with the I see.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's a like an SW and it turns into a cow.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, it was already half cow, like he doesn't have to do that much work.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: Half cow, half bull, whatever one.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, I wanted to start with that one because it wasn't like wasn't too scary, but could be.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, cows could do some damage.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: This next one was posted in R slash crawler sightings, which is creepy in itself.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And it says potential encounter at Rim Rock Lake, Southern Washington.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: To set things up, me 19 female, and my boyfriend 26 male, both have extensive expensive.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: I knew you were gonna say I knew you were gonna say something.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: I knew you were scary enough.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: Hey, 10 out of 10.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: I knew you were gonna say something.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Anyways.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: I've been dating for five years.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: 1421.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: We both have extensive experience in the woods.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I hiked across the PCT from Ashland to the Bridge of the Gods at the border of Washington, and that took six weeks.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: Bridge of the Gods?
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: You I gotta go there.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like um there and Mount Storm King.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's in the it's in the gorge.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: It's like on the way to Multnomah Falls.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: Oh day.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I've always enjoyed the outdoors and I've never felt unsafe, even when getting close to wildlife, such as bears.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: My boyfriend grew up in a rural area surrounded by farmland, so he's also comfortable with the outdoors.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Not comfortable enough to be chilling with bears.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: No, yeah.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: No, bears aren't safe.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: Got snow white out here.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: We decided to go camping at Rimrock Lake, which is about 45 minutes away from Yakima, Washington.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: And this region of Washington has an abundance of Native American land, history, and Native people, of course.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Not sure if it's relevant, but I thought I'd add it.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: We ended up going to the lake at about 10 45 p.m.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: What's up with these people getting to their places so I don't know.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: Can't be that far away.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: As we pull into the entrance, I immediately get a bad feeling.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: I've only felt something like this a handful of times in my entire life.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I tell my boyfriend basically, this place is giving me a v bad vibe.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: And he just says, I'm scared of the dark, utterly dismissing my feelings.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, red flag.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: Creepy level uh 12 out of 10.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: As we round a curve, I'm stuck with the reality that I've had a dream about this place, his car, the specific shape of the road, the light from his headlights, and it wasn't deja vu.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: It was straight out of a dream I had when I was maybe 12 years old.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I tell my relax.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: Hey, how long has she known this guy?
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: I tell my boyfriend I've dreamt about this place, everything about it.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: I go into more detail then, but you get the idea.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: In my dream, there is a pale, creepy face with reflective eyes staring at me through the trees, and I just remember running as fast as I can down the road, from it down the road.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Again, he considers what I'm saying, but ultimately disregards it.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Bro.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: We pull up to the campsite and set up pretty fast.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe fifteen minutes and we got a ten our ten up, a fire going, and my boyfriend has a cigar lit, since he's terri terribly addicted to the nasty things.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: This guy sounds A what?
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: A cigar.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: He's addicted to cigars.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: I've never even heard of that before.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: As we sit around the campfire, he's puffing away and suddenly we hear this wildly loud screaming.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: It sounded like a group of college kids screaming their drunken asses off, but it didn't quite sound right, if that makes sense.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: It sounded like men and women screaming in perfect unison, the high and low screams melding together.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: I instantly try to rationalize the strange sound.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: It was maybe a mile away, just over a hill, possibly.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Moments later we hear it again, but in the opposite direction, and it's closer.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Not probably a half a mile away.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I swear to God it sounded more disturbing, realizing the sound was not human at all.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it was more distorted and alien, or if the proximity allowed me to hear it better.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: We begin to quietly discuss how that sound is not normal.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Neither of us in all of our years of hiking and traveling have ever heard something remotely like that.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Moments later, the sound is not further than a football field away.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: My boyfriend puts his cigar down, grabs his gun, and we agree to ignore it and only to speak of it for the rest of the night.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: We hop in our tent and wake up to a gorgeous sunny day.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: His cigar is missing the next morning.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: We talked about it a bit that day and it still freaks us out thinking about it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: I believe that when it sounded far away, it was actually very close.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: These creatures have an ability to sound far away when reality they're not far at all.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: I heard from some people that the farther away they sound, the closer they are.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Thoughts, feelings, opinions, story is a hundred percent real.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: Dude, creepy level.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: 15 out of 10.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: After talking with some people on R slash SW, apparently a handful of people have had an eerily similar experience and experiences in this exact area.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Stay away from Rim Rock League.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: And they all have the bummiest boyfriends?
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Probably it's so weird.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: I still can't can't get over how this guy's addicted to cigars.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Of all nicotine products, cigars, bro?
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Dang.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: Could have been anything else.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Pouches, chew.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And it was missing the next morning.
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: Good riddance.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: I mean the SW came and took it.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Dude, he probably put it out.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: Hey man, this thing stank.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Actually, someone else commented and said these things do like tobacco.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: A lot of sightings from people that go out to smoke at night.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I mean that's oh this another person says, I know that tobacco has a lot of spiritual relevance to Native American people, so I wonder if there's a connection to that.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: Native Americans have the Cubans.
- 10:07unknown: Okay.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: And traditionally they would set out tobacco leaves as gifts for the creatures.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, nah, hold up.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: Hey, hold on now.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: What's the difference between a crawler and an SW?
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: Is a crawler just like a zombie?
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Like walking dead?
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, it must be different if there's a whole nother subreddit.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: SWs are malicious human shapeshifters from traditional Navajo folklore, while crawlers are emaciated pale humanoid cryptids popularized by modern internet culture.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, so an SW can look like anything, like an animal.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a skinwalker.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Whoa.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: They're also known to mimic Cuban voices or faces to allure people.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: And then crawlers are tall, thin, and paler, grey skinned with long limbs, sharp claws, and large slendermen.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And large black reflective eyes.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Spooky.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: They're famous for letting out blood curdling screams.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Spooky.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say it must be pretty significant if there's the difference between the two, if there's a whole subreddit dedicated to them.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, so creepy level on that one.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Dude, 15 out of 10.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: If I'm hearing screaming in the woods, I'm not gonna just ignore it and go to sleep.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: Well, 13 of that's from just the relationship itself.
- 11:41SPEAKER_02: So it's really like a three out of ten.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man, that relationship's scary.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: Dude's addicted to cigars.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, okay.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Addicted to cigars.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: It's ignoring his girlfriend when she's concerned.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: Seven years older.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: If they've been dating for more than two years.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: No, more than one year.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: What does that 26-year-old won't have to want to do with a 19-year-old?
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Nothing good.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: Nothing good.
- 12:13SPEAKER_02: Hey, hey, pipe down there, little missy.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: You're just a little kid.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Believability.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: Hey, stop playing with those dolls.
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: Like a two out of ten.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, unless he was trying to save this girl from the from the cigar smoking bum.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: But yeah, no, I don't think so.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: The dream is weird, but I mean, people can get deja vu for a lot of stuff.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I go into more detail now, but you get the my dream.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: There is a pale, creepy face with reflective eyes staring at me through the trees.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: And that's what a crawler is.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: That's that's spooky.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I mean, she's 19, so yeah, I mean, she was she was on the internet when Slender Men was like a really big thing.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: So it probably just got like she just read about it at night before bed, had a dream about it, and then the deja vu it when she was in the same space.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it could be.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, this next one.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Someone asked if they had any like weird experiences in the forests of eastern Washington, just because they got like a weird vibe.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: So they were wondering if anybody else has not anything weird.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, bro, I'm sure.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: This person says, I spent most of my childhood in the 90s camping in Colville National Forest, and the most unsettling thing I ever witnessed was what I would describe as a moose that walked on its hind legs.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: We usually camped above Power Lake in a huge meadow that ran between the road and creek as it was my late grandma's favorite place to go.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: One evening at dusk, I saw what at first appeared to be a moose walking through the meadow behind our camp spot heading towards the road.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I've never seen one in that area before, so the big guy drew my family's attention.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: It was angling kind of towards us, which would have been further up the mountain from where he had came, but there was something off about it.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: After a few seconds more of watching, we realized it was on its hind legs.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: It walked that way through the meadow and up across the road.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: Dang.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Do they have moose in Washington?
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: First we had two foot Bigfoot or two-legged Bigfoot just walking around, and now we got this.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: Oh no, it was four-legged Bigfoot.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Quadruped Bigfoot.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: So it's the reverse.
- 14:42unknown: Oh yeah.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: The quadrupeds go into a biped.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: An estimated 5,000 moose live in Washington State.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: Moose are big.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Moose are moose are just scary, period.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Big.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: But like walking on its hind legs.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: I didn't know they were in Washington, wow.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I didn't eat that.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: That's why I looked it up.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: Dude, I think it would be like what?
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: 25 feet tall standing up?
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: 20 feet tall?
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: No, thank you.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: Those things are long No.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: No thank you.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, I'm I'm okay.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so believability of that one?
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Do you think believability of it being a moose?
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: A moose is only 10 feet long.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: No, but they're tall.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean they're they're like five to seven feet.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: They're big.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: Well, their antlers add a lot of height too.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's true.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: So they just look terrifying.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Um, creepy level, uh this one might be a solid eight.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: Seven or eight.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Like just slowly realizing that it's not walking on its four legs.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'd be pretty scared.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: Even if that thing was just like sitting down.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: I I don't want to see it.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: I mean, believability.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: I believe it happened.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: I believe it even more than that now that I know moose are actually in Washington too.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: Maybe maybe a six.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Could be a seven, I don't know.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: I like he could have stumbled onto his hind legs for for a couple seconds.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: It's doing a handstand.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, something like that.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: We're pretty we're pretty high numbers so far.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean the last one doesn't really count though, because like the boyfriend.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Dude, 19 and 26.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Damn.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: Call me crazy, but okay.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: This is a sketchy experience at a cabin.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: This was one of the most creepy slash traumatizing things that has ever happened to me.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: I was staying with my family, my mom, my dad, my grandma, and my grandpa, in an A-frame slash chalet style cabin in northern Washington.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Washington has a lot of forests and densely wooded areas.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: The cabin was also on a lake, and we brought our small lake boat with us.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: This trip was mostly so we could try out our new boat.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Everything was going well, and we were having fun in the lake, hanging out with family, and just generally having a good vacation.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: My family decided to go to a convenience store and leave me alone in the cabin.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: This happened a while ago, but I was old enough to stay home alone.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: The nearest convenience store was about 30 to 45 minutes down a dirt road.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: As you may have expected, this is where it started to go wrong.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: They leave.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: I volunteered to stay home because I'm relaxing and don't want to get in the car.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: About 15 minutes after they leave, it started to get dark.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I'm walking around listening to music and enjoying the sunset, perfectly framed over the lake.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Challeys generally have pretty large windows, and this Pacific cabin did not have curtains.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: This made watching the sunset pretty enjoyable, but did not help once the sun fully set.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Washington is known for its force and also is known for Bigfoot.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: The story is not related to Bigfoot.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: I'm just pointing it out for a reference.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: God bless.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: So at this point, I'm messing around and exploring the cabin more because the sun is now set and there isn't really much besides dark, kind of creepy forests in the lake outside the window.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: As I'm messing around, something catches my eye.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: I swore I could have seen very slight movement down by the small boat dock about 125 meters down a small windy path.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: I didn't really think much of it as I was in the forest, and there are many animals that could have been moving around.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Deer, moose, etc.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, moose are in Washington.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: I guess that's a widely known thing.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: At this point, I had forgotten about the movement I saw and headed to the bathroom, which is down a hallway away from the window.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: While I was in the bathroom, I just got this terrible feeling like something was wrong.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: I wanted to go check to see if there's anything inside the cabin or anything outside.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I couldn't do this, however, because I was using the bathroom.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: The longer I stayed in the bathroom, the worse the feeling got.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Every drop of rain landing on the roof felt like the tick of a clock counting down to the end of the world.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: That's kind of crazy.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: I quickly finished up in the restroom and practically sprinted down the hall.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I looked at the large set of windows and saw nothing but the lifeless forest and the moonlight reflecting off the lake.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: I then start to feel a stereotypic feeling of being watched.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: Generally nothing is even watching you, or so you think.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: This time there was something watching me.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: I turned around and looked down the hall at the other clear glass door at the end of the hallway.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Standing on the other side of that door is a freaking deer standing on two legs.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: My mind instantly screams, SW.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: I try not to acknowledge it.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: I close my eyes and sprint back to the bathroom, locking myself in as the only as it's the only room without windows.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: I sit there in silence, barely breathing for what felt like 12 years.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: My family finally got back and I came out of the bathroom.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Nothing was there, and after checking the next morning, there were no signs anything had ever been there.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: You can choose whether to believe me or not, and you can choose whether to believe that it was all in my head or not.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: But even if it was all in my head, it still truly was a scary a scary experience.
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: Impending doom, I think I think bro had like the onset of anxiety.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: Hit them all in once.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: Taking time bomb and the raindrops, that's crazy.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, maybe I mean I can see how everything would have made.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Even if I don't know, she saw something cute outside like a squirrel.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe it would have been like SW.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: I mean Dude, run for a weapon, run for the bathroom and lock yourself in.
- 20:51SPEAKER_02: What are you gonna do?
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: What are you gonna do when a deer walks in like Bojack Horseman and just unlocks the door and right?
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: It isn't normal for a deer to be standing up on its two hind legs.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Again, the legs thing.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: But it's also not normal for a deer to come up to the back door of your house and like stare inside at you.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, it just saw some movement.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Full glass window, there's lights on inside.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Dude, if I see a deer on its hind legs, I'm out.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Even if it's just Yeah, what's it doing?
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: Bucking up like a kangaroo?
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: SW, bro.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Ready to swing?
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: I tried not to acknowledge it.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: Hey, bro.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I think it saw you.
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: It might have seen you.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: It's right behind me.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, bro.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, they must have been pretty young, just running into the bathroom.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: That's like getting super scared at night, and you just like hope the covers protect you.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: What are they gonna do?
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, what do you think that says on a believability scale?
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: Run for the gun, brother.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: Um, believability.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, I believe that that they saw it.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure that that deer was actually I mean it might have been on Titan Legs too, I guess, but I think they just got spooked by an animal that was at their back door and they were already anxious or something was going on.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: There was some other looming deadline or something.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Looming deadline.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: There was something.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Could be.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, creepy level.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: Um, I would be pretty creeped out if I was alone in a cabin in the woods with nothing around, and I saw a deer on its hind legs just posted up outside my front door.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: No, no blinds, all windows, no blinds.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I'll give it an eight.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: That's pretty high.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: No blinds is crazy.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, it's uh it makes viewing the sunset really nice.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: Dude, you can just put the blinds up.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Put them down when it gets darker.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was probably like an Airbnb or something, but okay.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: This one's kind of a longer one.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: This is posted eight years ago in R slash backwoods creepy.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: And it's titled Piano in the Woods.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, no, thanks.
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: That's like stairs in the woods.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Stairs.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Staircases.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I want to find that thread again and maybe do an episode on that.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: I wonder if those have happened anywhere around here.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Or just like search and rescue stories, stuff like that.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Those are always creepy.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: A little bit of background about myself.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: I worked my entire adult life in the Pacific Northwest Woods, over 15 years in total, with about seven years of that being for the Park Service at Olympic National Park.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Many, many experiences over the years could warrant the title of creepy.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: This one in particular has always stuck with me.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Many, many, many, many, many.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: While working for the Park Service, one of my jobs was that of a restoration carpenter.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: We had traveled to old backcountry historical cabins, emergency, emergency shelters, homesteads, and chalets, test tasked with repairing and restoring them to the original historic accurate states.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: This was a wonderful and demanding job.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I'd spent eight days at a time living off the beaten path, usually deep in the backcountry.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we'd be flown in supplies, sometimes we'd use llamas or mules to pack our gear, all while sleeping in thinly walled single tents, cooking over a fire or a whisper light stove, using the same tools and techniques the original homesteaders had at their disposal in the late 1800s to construct and survive in this unforgiving environment.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: One late fall, I was assigned to work near Lake Ozet at an old homestead off the trail near the constructed boardwalk.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: For those unfamiliar with the area, Lake Ozette is eight miles long and three miles wide.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: It sits as the largest unaltered natural lake in Washington.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Lake Ozette has a long and rich history of Native American culture.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: The Macaw Tribal Center in Neo Bay houses discoveries found in the area dating back 2,000 years, along with a local village that was well preserved over 300 years ago by a mudslide that left most of the artifacts intact.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: The Ozette Loop Trail, which the homestead was directly adjacent to, is approximately 9.4 miles through and through.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: The man-made boardwalk takes you under giant cedar groves, meanders through huge patches of chest healal before delivering you to Alstrom's Prairie around 2.5 miles from the trailhead.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Alstrom's Prairie, a giant soggy meadow, was once farmed by two Swedish immigrants.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: They constructed a small cabin and some outbuildings on a 150-acre bog.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: With cattle, sheep, vegetable gardens, and the help of a little Swedish ingenuity, they managed to etch out lives for themselves here over 50 years ago.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Over time, the forest, as it does, decided to take back what was once its own.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: The now decades long abandoned farm was hardly recognizable.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Our job was to beat back the encroaching forest, put new windows in the main cabin, pipe in new stove, apply of fresh paint, and fix up portions of the semi-dilapidated barn.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: The ultimate goal being to allow guided tours to take place sometime in the future.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: Haunted tours now.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: For about three weeks we stayed at the Ozette bunkhouse while working at Alstrom's Prairie.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: This was good duty for us.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: We weren't sleeping under the rain, our beds were warm, our hike was short, and the train was not difficult.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: We even had a TV.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: The bunkhouse was located near the highway and ranger station.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: We would hike the five-mile loop every day, bring with us boards, tools, paint, and everything else we needed on our backs.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: These were full 10-hour days, 10 plus hour days, usually starting our morning hike around 7 o'clock and beginning our evening return hike back to the bunkhouse around 5 o'clock, I believe as well.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: 1700.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: At one point during the fall, there were four of us working this project, but at the time of this event, there were only two of us remaining.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Most of the hard work had already been finished.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: We needed to hike the last few boards into the prairie to complete a portion of the woodshed before we called the job done.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: I volunteered to be the pack mule for the day, my only job being to carry as many boards as I could muster in each trip to the prairie before returning to the ranger station for the next load.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: It was late in the season for hikers at this point.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: The weather had turned and we'd be lucky to see two or three people a day during doing the loop.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: After on my fourth or fifth trip, I was pretty wiped.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: It was getting late in the evening now, around 1600, 4 o'clock, and my coworker called had called it a day.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: I thought I could get one more trip in before it got too dark, my rationale being that the more trips I did today, the less I'd have to do tomorrow.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: We passed on the trail and I told him my intentions and continued on.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: I delivered the last of the boards for the day, took a look around the prairie as the sun started to tuck behind the trees, and I started my hour hike back to the ranger station.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: The lighting on the boardwalk was quite low at this point, with cedars blocking most of the ambient light left by the setting sun, making visibility quite diminished.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: I'm not a nervous hiker and fail to spook easily, having solo hiked for weeks on end in backcountry.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: I've been stalked by cougars, confronted by Kodiak bears in Alaska, even ran into a few demented hillbillies over the years.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: As I left the prayer that evening, the hair in my neck stood on end.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Goosebumps erupted on my forearms.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: An uneasy feeling swept over me.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Suddenly I wanted to walk faster, jog, then sprint.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I didn't.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Instead, I convinced myself I'd be reading too many fantasy novels before bedtime.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: I walked another five minutes or so before I started to hear something faint, something that sounded like music.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Impossible, I told myself, I'm the only one out here, and still at least two miles from civilization, that quote unquote civilization in reality being likely the only other soul out there, my coworker.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: Sure enough, however, I heard music, more specifically a piano.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: It started out so faint I had to stop moving to actually hear it, the steps in the wooden boardwalk being too loud.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Every time I paused to hear it, it became unmistakable.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: It got louder.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I stood there, sun now fully hidden behind the horizon, in total silence other than this piano.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: I became aware that there are no longer noise of life, no birds, no insects, no wind, no rustling of the leaves or underbrush, absolutely nothing other than the piano.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: As if everything was being weighted down by the fog of emptiness of some sorts.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: I've encountered this quote unquote dead time before in the woods.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Certain places have it, but this was different somehow.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Unique to this place, unique to this moment in time.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: I tried to focus on the cues, but I couldn't recognize the composition, unsurprisingly, as I mostly listened to Metallica and corn at the time.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: It was playing with a purpose, it was controlled, in tune, thoughtful.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: It was a song, and somehow I felt like it was meant just for me at that moment.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: I started walking again, almost on cue, the music once again got louder.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: As my pace increased, so did the tempo of the keys, still in tune, never faltering.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: It reached its climax, the perfect combination of my haste, my dread, my heartbeat, and the tempo of the music.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Then, as quickly as it came, the piano stopped, whooshed away in the fraction of a moment.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: It didn't trail off, it didn't fade into extinction, it was just gone.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Suddenly everything that was absent was swept away as if by a gust of wind.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: The stillness was gone, the gloom, the stagnation, and the weight of everything was lifted.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: My next step on the boardwalk was once again in reality.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: The evening was just as absent of light as before, but I felt like life somehow was once again injected back into the forest, and the wood seemed normal again.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: I didn't hear the piano again that night, nor since.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: I told my co-worker every detail when I reached the bunkhouse, and he showed no signs of disbelief.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: We didn't talk about it again until years later, when something similar happened to another park service employee.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: When I told my grandfather about what happened, as he was a retired park ranger who had worked nearby at Mora the next station over.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Without the least bit of hesitation, he asked, Did you hear the bagpipes along with it, or was it just the piano this time?
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: The bagpipes.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: It seems as I've learned and experienced since then, there's a lot more to that place, a lot more to the Olympics in general than anyone really knows or is willing to admit.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: Dude, I want a whole composition.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: I want the piano, the bagpipes, the drums, the the violin.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Give me the whole uh You want the whole symphony?
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Bruh.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: Creepy.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: I don't want to hear a piano in the woods.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, that'd be kind of cool though.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Cool?
- 31:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: You think?
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, nothing happened.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: They're just a little soundtrack soundtrack to your life.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I guess.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Man, I went to this person's profile to see if they had any other posts, but they don't.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, whoever wrote that's like a good writer.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: I don't know how believable that makes it though, because it seems pretty pretty embellished, but it seems like too perfect.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: You think?
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: You doubt when people are good writers.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: I doubt when good writers make their way to Reddit to share stories instead of like making a book out of it.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: I was like gonna see if there are any other stories about pianos in the woods.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: Cause it seemed like this is a pretty he talked to multiple people about it.
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: So Yeah, but you know how a lie is like often more detailed than the truth.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, I can I can understand that.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: I feel like if something like this happened, you wouldn't remember a lot of the fine details.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: And it would be more of like a like a dream almost.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: Cause you just be running trying to get away.
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: You're not taking in everything that happens with like all five senses.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: I'd be dashing out of there.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was trying to.
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: Not fast enough.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: If something like that was happening to me, I'd want it to be happening to someone else along with me too.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: It'd be nice to have uh have a homie with you.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: I guess piano horror stories are a thing.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: And it's kind of similar to the stairs.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'd rather see I'd rather hear the piano.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: The stairs are just creepy.
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: A piano is something cool.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: Cooler.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, so what would you give that believability-wise?
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: I give it like a two.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 33:20SPEAKER_02: I mean, creepy stuff happens in the woods.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: I believe that.
- 33:24unknown: Okay.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, there's just too many details in the story.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: It's too it's too composed.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: Something about it is just off.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: Yum, okay.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: It reads like like a novel.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: That's fair.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: Alright, and the keys were playing along with my heartbeat.
- 33:48SPEAKER_02: Chill, dude.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: There's no way.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: There's no way.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: You get scared enough you can't even feel your heartbeat.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: Like you're just in.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Believe creepy.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: I mean, if that happened to me in the woods, I'd probably be pretty creeped out.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: I mean, it'd be cool.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: I got a soundtrack to my life.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: I'd honestly probably just think it was my like internal radio.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: What?
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: Going on.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: Like, oh yeah, this is a cool tune.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, maybe maybe I cook this up somehow.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: But if I started talking to other people and they were like, yeah, that happened to me too.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: And they're still alive, I feel like it gets less creepy.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: Like it's it's it's a shared experience.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: It's kind of cool.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: So if it is real, I feel like the creepiness is pretty low.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Creepiness is pretty low?
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't be disturbed if you heard music in the woods.
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: I mean, music's like a pretty human thing.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: I feel like if I heard music, I would just assume it's someone else or But there isn't anybody else.
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean that's cool too.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: They just come and go as they please.
- 34:55SPEAKER_02: That's fine with me.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: As long as they go pretty quick.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: I just don't know if it'd be that creepy, like, especially if I'm seasoned like that.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Like that guy's been out there doing five mile hikes one way for how many days now?
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: Like Yeah, right.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean you gotta be used to it at a certain point.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: He could be exhausted or I just feel like it's more cool than creepy.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Didn't touch him, didn't hurt him, didn't make him see things, he didn't see anything.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: Like So you you count that as a win?
- 35:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a win.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: Got out scot-free and got to take home like a cool tune with you.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: But yeah, no, I mean it's not believable, so unfortunately.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, this will be Um This will be our our last Our last one.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: This is in response to another post asking for people's scary stories camping.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: This person said, I was camping at a cape campground like thirty minutes outside of Eugene with my boyfriend and a friend of ours.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: There wasn't very many people at this campground because it was a random weekday at the end of summer, so we were basically the only people there.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Eventually we decided to walk down towards the lake where there was an awesome view of the stars.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: We were sitting on this log staring at the sky when suddenly we see this incredibly bright orange light appear out of nowhere and just start floating in one spot above the mountain in the distance.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: We were thinking it's just a bright star, but suddenly this light starts quickly floating sideways in a perfect line.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: It stops again and quickly shoots upward, once again in a straight line.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Keeps floating, goes sideways again, shoots upwards again, floats, and then it just disappears behind the mountains.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: With the way it would just abruptly stop and float and shoot off in different directions, we know it couldn't be a star or a satellite.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: It was moving what I'm talking about.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: It was moving way too fast.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: It was awesome.
- 36:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, tic-tac.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: I think it's that this person's head is a fern ridge, I believe.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Is there a lake there?
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: So aliens.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Man, apparently aliens just love the whole submerged UFO and lake thing.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Potentially, yeah.
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: Got like whole colonies in there.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: I guess.

- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Could have been a plane, could have been a helicopter, could've been anything.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Could have been aliens too, I'd be down.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: I'd like to see UFO or two.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: You would like to see a UFO or two?
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.

- 37:51SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't like to get abducted and like get experimented on, but But you'd be down just to to see would you want to see an alien or just a UFO from a distance?
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: We could probably make that happen.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: I mean, an alien would be pretty cool too.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: What do you mean make that happen?
