Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, guys, this is Teddy Mellencamp and I'm joined by
- 0:04Speaker 1: my friend Emily Simpson for our new spin off show
- 0:08Speaker 1: Popping Off, where we are digging deep on this season
- 0:12Speaker 1: of vander Pump Rules. Hi guys, welcome to another episode
- 0:15Speaker 1: of Popping Off with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And Emily Simpson. Thanks for joining us. I'm hooked on
- 0:22Speaker 2: the Valley. I'm just going to say it. You know,
- 0:24Speaker 2: I am too, and I don't. I don't you know,
- 0:26Speaker 2: I don't watch reality TV, but I do like the Valley.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I do. It's very I like that it's couples. I
- 0:33Speaker 2: think that was smart, and I like that every couple
- 0:36Speaker 2: is unique and different. It adds a lot of layers
- 0:39Speaker 2: and dynamics to the show.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. And on that note, we have to
- 0:44Speaker 1: make an announcement. We threw in the towel on vander Pumphilla.
- 0:48Speaker 1: We're not doing it enough. Tae arm Sean would say,
- 0:53Speaker 1: we're not.
- 0:53Speaker 2: We can't. We cannot recap it. No, we can.
- 0:56Speaker 1: To be honest, I cannot even continue watching it even
- 1:01Speaker 1: I have my boundaries when it comes to making money,
- 1:04Speaker 1: and she doesn't have a lot of boundaries. So if
- 1:09Speaker 1: we put one out there, that's it, and that's no
- 1:11Speaker 1: shade to Lisa vander Pump. It's just not like the
- 1:15Speaker 1: Valley and Vanner Pump rules.
- 1:17Speaker 2: We're good. Okay.
- 1:21Speaker 1: This episode starts with the girls taking a trip to Malibu.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Can we talk a little bit about leading up to
- 1:28Speaker 1: maled Boo, the tension between Brittany and Jack's and how
- 1:31Speaker 1: he keeps bringing up her drinking habits.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you know when they showed those flashbacks where he
- 1:37Speaker 2: consistently makes the rude comments to her. You know, I
- 1:41Speaker 2: don't know how much is editing because I know, like
- 1:44Speaker 2: the first couple of seasons with Shane, they did a
- 1:45Speaker 2: really good job of only showing him being a dick,
- 1:49Speaker 2: even though he can be a dick, but he also
- 1:51Speaker 2: has another side. So I don't know if Jackson is
- 1:54Speaker 2: just always on her case all the time or if
- 1:57Speaker 2: they're just only showing him being on her case all
- 2:00Speaker 2: the time, because I just I mean, knowing that they're
- 2:02Speaker 2: separated now, you know, But.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Also like yes, sober coach Jack's commenting on somebody else's
- 2:10Speaker 1: substance intake, It's like, yeah, tell me more, really, I yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And I feel like he puts an emphasis on, like, well,
- 2:17Speaker 2: she's a mom, but it's like, but you're a dad,
- 2:20Speaker 2: so like a mom is supposed to act a certain way,
- 2:22Speaker 2: but a dad doesn't have to. And it's fine for
- 2:25Speaker 2: a dad to drink in the pool and eat Hamburgers
- 2:28Speaker 2: with flies all over it, but it's not okay. But
- 2:32Speaker 2: Brittany will take care of him. That's what he said.
- 2:34Speaker 2: She'll take care of him.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So but like they even the flashback to I guess
- 2:38Speaker 1: the last time Brittany came home like hungover, and you
- 2:41Speaker 1: can tell she's like walking outside. I think she's like
- 2:43Speaker 1: about to get in the pool or something, and just
- 2:46Speaker 1: his face is like one of pure.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Repulse, like yeah, yeah, I know. It's like he's like disgusted.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Like I mean, I'm not going to pretend that I
- 2:57Speaker 1: would assume Shane is probably the same way, Like if
- 3:00Speaker 1: there's going to be a I mean, Shane doesn't drink
- 3:01Speaker 1: at all.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Edwin doesn't drink very often.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So if I am overserved, there are times where I
- 3:08Speaker 1: don't think Edwin's looking at me with like the most
- 3:11Speaker 1: loving eyes unless he's about to get to have to
- 3:14Speaker 1: have sex. Then he's excited and he's fine with me
- 3:17Speaker 1: being overserved. But there are times where he's like, come on,
- 3:21Speaker 1: like it's enough. Yeah, he's not also acting the same
- 3:26Speaker 1: way I'm acting, right, But.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Does he look at you with disgust? No, but he'll
- 3:33Speaker 2: be like it's time to go. Yeah, Shane's like that too.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I mean, Shane's like the voice of reason when I
- 3:38Speaker 2: have too much tequila, you know, like time to go home,
- 3:42Speaker 2: time for you to go to bed, time to take
- 3:43Speaker 2: a nappy, time for shut up.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But something else Edwin likes to do when I drink
- 3:49Speaker 1: too much is the next day, he likes to recap
- 3:53Speaker 1: all the things.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Does he take video because Shane's took the last time
- 3:56Speaker 2: I got really sick on tequila and I threw up,
- 3:58Speaker 2: he took videos of it.
- 4:00Speaker 1: No, thank god, he's not done.
- 4:03Speaker 2: But now I had to have the car all over
- 4:06Speaker 2: to the side of the road and I threw up
- 4:08Speaker 2: on the side of the road, and he got out
- 4:10Speaker 2: of the car and just videotape the entire thing.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But did you put it in a bag and then
- 4:14Speaker 1: bring it home and leave it in your driveway like
- 4:16Speaker 1: Brettany did. No.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I just puked in the street and it just you know,
- 4:19Speaker 2: ran down into a gutter. Can I have.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Shane's number so I can get the video. Absolutely not, no,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I don't. Will just be like all I already wake
- 4:31Speaker 1: up with anxiety whenever the next day is like, no matter.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm not a thrower upper. I don't tend to be
- 4:37Speaker 1: one that throws up. Unfortunately, it would probably help my
- 4:40Speaker 1: case if I did. But he'll be like, I'll wake
- 4:44Speaker 1: up and be like, I have anxiety. Everything was fine
- 4:46Speaker 1: last night, right, And he'll be like, well you did
- 4:48Speaker 1: say or maybe you hurt so and so was feelings
- 4:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, just say it was fine, because
- 4:55Speaker 1: then I have to like go do recon and like
- 4:57Speaker 1: check in with everybody, and everybody else is like you
- 5:00Speaker 1: were fine, and I'm like, why did you make me worry?
- 5:03Speaker 2: But he never throws your mother in my face. But
- 5:06Speaker 2: I also not doing it with my children. Yeah, I
- 5:09Speaker 2: think that's crossing a line. Well, you're a mother, like
- 5:12Speaker 2: a mother has a certain way they're supposed to behave. Yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean mean moms, we do need a night out
- 5:18Speaker 2: every once in a while.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, I mean Edwin did say you're a mother type
- 5:22Speaker 1: comment to me, not about drinking. But Dove's about to
- 5:26Speaker 1: join a new preschool and they have this and it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: like for pre K. So she's leaving preschool going into
- 5:32Speaker 1: pre k and they have their like tuition schedule, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: then it says like, if you're willing to do this
- 5:39Speaker 1: many hours of the baked sale or this money have
- 5:42Speaker 1: to pay, right right. So Edwin on a group text
- 5:47Speaker 1: with our accountant guy that like pays our stuff, is like, well,
- 5:51Speaker 1: that's up to Teddy, And I was like, Haha, you're funny,
- 5:56Speaker 1: Like you're just as capable to host the bake sale
- 5:59Speaker 1: as I. So, no, that's really on YouTube, buddy, Like,
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't like that's on Teddy me.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Right, you mean like that's not only a mom job,
- 6:09Speaker 2: Like that is a mom and dad job.
- 6:12Speaker 1: We both have busy job. We both have multiple jobs.
- 6:16Speaker 1: We both are always working and traveling. Like, no, don't
- 6:19Speaker 1: just put that's on Teddy.
- 6:21Speaker 2: No, that's on us. I just five hours. I don't.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I just know. I just write the check. Also, I'm like,
- 6:30Speaker 2: I can't think of anything worse than doing that many
- 6:32Speaker 2: hours trying to sell candy like or whatever it may be.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I was like, listen, I'm excited for her to go
- 6:37Speaker 2: to the school, but at the end of the day,
- 6:40Speaker 2: it's cheaper just to pay it. Yeah, and other moms
- 6:44Speaker 2: that are probably going to be more liked to sell it. Yeah, no,
- 6:48Speaker 2: I know, haven't they heard about you? Yeah?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And plus the moms that put like their kids like
- 6:54Speaker 1: girls Scout cookies for sale on their Instagram.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They get eaten a live like you have all the
- 6:59Speaker 2: money in the world.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you just pay for the blah blah blah.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Like I forgot who did it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Maybe it was like Hillary Duff or Jennaa Wann or
- 7:06Speaker 1: like one of those really likable people did one of
- 7:09Speaker 1: those things on their kids. And I just saw the
- 7:11Speaker 1: comments of everyone like that's rich coming from you, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: it's like, you want us to go door to door
- 7:18Speaker 1: selling these candies.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Okay, get back to the recap mine. This just happened today.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's fresh for me. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Kristin thinks she may be pregnant. Michelle doesn't want Kristin
- 7:32Speaker 1: to be pregnant because they don't Michelle's quote they don't
- 7:36Speaker 1: need more of her around.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That was so shady. I was like, but yeah, they
- 7:41Speaker 2: need a lot more jesses, right. I was like, Okay,
- 7:46Speaker 2: that was rude, Like you should never reproduce. Also, do
- 7:51Speaker 2: you agree that Kristin is an impath? You know, I
- 7:56Speaker 2: don't feel like I know kris And well enough to
- 7:57Speaker 2: say if she's an impath or not. I mean, they
- 7:59Speaker 2: did the whole flashback glage of her being I don't know,
- 8:04Speaker 2: crazy or fighting or arguing or whatever. But I love
- 8:08Speaker 2: everyone's reaction at the table to her saying she's an EmPATH.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Clearly no one's sitting at that table agreed with her,
- 8:14Speaker 2: but no one said anything. I was waiting for someone
- 8:17Speaker 2: to call her out, but nobody said anything. No, everybody
- 8:20Speaker 2: was just like Yeah. It was just like all the
- 8:22Speaker 2: strange looks and eye rolling, and I was like, is
- 8:25Speaker 2: anyone going to say anything? Okay?
- 8:27Speaker 1: But I also think there's a difference between being an
- 8:29Speaker 1: EmPATH and somebody that can read the energy of when
- 8:34Speaker 1: somebody's upset at them. Like I think maybe what she
- 8:38Speaker 1: means is she at that moment, probably particularly because I
- 8:41Speaker 1: think half of them more upset with her. Yeah, she
- 8:45Speaker 1: could feel that energy and it makes her nervous.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So being nervous makes her an EmPATH.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Well, knowing that people are mad.
- 8:54Speaker 2: At you being in an awkward situation at a table
- 8:58Speaker 2: made her an EmPATH. But I was there are some people.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I'm sure there's people that you film with that shouldn't
- 9:04Speaker 2: feel awkward in a moment and don't know.
- 9:06Speaker 1: To feel awkward, probably right, Like there are some people
- 9:11Speaker 1: that are just sit right down like everything's great, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: really it's not so great.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I could think of a few, Yeah, maybe one. Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 2: I was thinking the same. But then Nia. I really
- 9:25Speaker 2: felt for Nia this episode. Yeah, absolutely, I mean you
- 9:30Speaker 2: could tell that she's in a very difficult space. Did
- 9:34Speaker 2: you ever have postpartum depression?
- 9:37Speaker 1: I had postpartum anxiety, and which can led to like
- 9:42Speaker 1: some depression, but like kind of even the way that
- 9:46Speaker 1: Shina talks about the planning and that kind of thing,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I would obsess about what my days would be when
- 9:52Speaker 1: I had two little kids, and like how we were
- 9:55Speaker 1: going to fill the days, and if I didn't know
- 9:57Speaker 1: how I was going to fill the day, like I
- 9:59Speaker 1: would says to the point where I'm like, you don't
- 10:03Speaker 1: need to go to forty five things with your kids
- 10:05Speaker 1: every day, like just be And I was really struggling
- 10:09Speaker 1: just being, yeah, and it made other people around me
- 10:14Speaker 1: crazy because I couldn't just be.
- 10:17Speaker 2: And then but I didn't.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I don't think I was very emotional in front of
- 10:21Speaker 1: other people, and I probably should have been, because then
- 10:24Speaker 1: maybe I could have.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Gotten help quicker for it. Yeah. Well, then I guess
- 10:28Speaker 2: you would say it's good that she's talking about it
- 10:30Speaker 2: and opening up. She's talking to her friends about it,
- 10:32Speaker 2: she's talking to her husband about it, and he seems
- 10:34Speaker 2: very empathetic.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Like I.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Enjoyed the interaction between the two of them, because even
- 10:40Speaker 2: though Shane is a great husband, I wouldn't say that
- 10:42Speaker 2: he would like wipe tears from my face, you know, right.
- 10:46Speaker 2: He doesn't have that kind of softness to him. I
- 10:49Speaker 2: feel like he would listen and then he'd be like, well,
- 10:51Speaker 2: I hope that works out for you, and then you
- 10:53Speaker 2: would walk away. Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I mean, I think Danny realized real quick when he
- 10:56Speaker 1: was like Danny thought he was having a being funny mon.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He's like, what no dinner on the.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Table for the husband? And then MEA's like and He's like, shit, Okay,
- 11:09Speaker 2: this is not the time for jokes, right.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And sometimes when you are feeling that way, it's not
- 11:13Speaker 1: the time for jokes, especially from your husband.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Absolutely, but.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I don't remember a time where we've really seen somebody
- 11:24Speaker 1: on one of these shows kind of show it in
- 11:26Speaker 1: such a raw way.
- 11:28Speaker 2: And can we also talk about how pretty she looks
- 11:31Speaker 2: while it's like, while she has, you know, this depression
- 11:36Speaker 2: and she has this postpartum issue and she has three
- 11:39Speaker 2: small children, and her condo looks ramped, and yet she's
- 11:46Speaker 2: like glowing and beautiful. I know, and damn.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Her, damn her, but also like the amount of pressure
- 11:55Speaker 1: that she's probably putting on herself to be perfect and clearly,
- 12:01Speaker 1: I mean, as great of a husband Danny is. Every
- 12:04Speaker 1: single time Nia is away from Danny, he needs her back,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and he needs her back asap.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so let's talk about that. So when he
- 12:13Speaker 2: was texting and what did the air conditioning have to
- 12:15Speaker 2: do with it? Just because it was hot? Yeah?
- 12:18Speaker 1: I mean, I guess the guys are all at the barbecue.
- 12:20Speaker 1: They find out Danny can't come because as Ac went out.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But why would if you're acy is out, why wouldn't
- 12:26Speaker 2: you want to leave? Why would you want to stay there? Well,
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm guessing this is just a complete guess. I have
- 12:33Speaker 2: no idea.
- 12:34Speaker 1: My guess is that he didn't have childcare at that
- 12:37Speaker 1: point in time, and I would imagine it would be
- 12:39Speaker 1: quite difficult for him to leave the house with three
- 12:43Speaker 1: with the twins so I think are two months old
- 12:45Speaker 1: and and a child under two to go hang out
- 12:48Speaker 1: at Jackson's house.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I get that. I guess maybe that would have been
- 12:51Speaker 2: the excuse as opposed to my air conditioning doesn't work.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I thought maybe he was waiting on like a repair
- 12:57Speaker 2: man or something to fix the air conditioning. And the
- 13:00Speaker 2: air conditioning continues not to work because then he reaches
- 13:02Speaker 2: out to her while she's in Malibu having a girl's night,
- 13:06Speaker 2: and then he asked her to come home. And did
- 13:08Speaker 2: she leave in the middle of the night, Like how
- 13:10Speaker 2: late was it? That's what I mean.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Want to know she left before they all appeared to
- 13:15Speaker 1: get pretty hammered and do the.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Dancing like dark out right, like they all have pajamas on.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I wonder if the plan was always for her to
- 13:23Speaker 1: leave before bedtime, like before they went to sleep, and
- 13:27Speaker 1: just let the other girls sleep there. But clearly, I mean,
- 13:30Speaker 1: none of them really wanted to sleep there that bad.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Like Kristen got up at six am. She had left
- 13:35Speaker 1: so quickly she left her wallet, her phone, on all
- 13:38Speaker 1: her belongings. I was like, is she on the run?
- 13:51Speaker 2: Okay? So the guys are having a barbecue at Jack's
- 13:53Speaker 2: and Britney's while Brittany is away. Jesse says that the
- 13:56Speaker 2: couple's therapy is a disaster. I mean, I love his honesty, right, Yeah,
- 14:01Speaker 2: Like he doesn't even try to sugarcoat it or anything,
- 14:03Speaker 2: like we're working on things, like we're going to work
- 14:06Speaker 2: through it, and he's like, it's a disaster.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Yeah, He's like, it's an absolute disaster. Then he shares
- 14:12Speaker 1: that Michelle applied for an apartment a year ago and
- 14:16Speaker 1: told Jesse she was leaving.
- 14:21Speaker 2: My question is, why why did she not leave? Do
- 14:23Speaker 2: you think I mean to go through those steps of
- 14:26Speaker 2: actually finding an apartment, building out the application, and then
- 14:30Speaker 2: not leaving.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I mean it could be there's this new show The
- 14:33Speaker 1: Valley that oh.
- 14:40Speaker 2: That makes sense. She's like, oh, okay, one shot, one
- 14:46Speaker 2: last ditch effort, all right.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But I can say, being a realtor or not a realtor,
- 14:52Speaker 1: if I were to spend multiple days with another man
- 14:56Speaker 1: that was straight at the Chateau more, a.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Famous wealthy man, a.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Famous wealthy man that they were like every time they
- 15:07Speaker 1: said his name, which we've narrowed down from Twitter, that
- 15:10Speaker 1: it's either Quinn Tarantino or Michael Bay. I wonder if
- 15:14Speaker 1: they're gonna rely or it could be neither of those people.
- 15:17Speaker 1: But I've seen Quentin Tarantino out a lot, but it's
- 15:21Speaker 1: never at Chateau Marmont. I see him at the Peninsula.
- 15:26Speaker 1: So that made me question, maybe it is Michael Bay
- 15:29Speaker 1: because I don't really go to Chateau Marmont, so who knows.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I feel like like now we have to stalk Chateau Marmont.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Now we have so many places we need to be
- 15:38Speaker 1: all the time, between Jackx's.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And the Sandwich Place and Yeah Schwartz and Sandy's.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I mean like the fact that we never want it's
- 15:47Speaker 1: a full day and night outing. We need an adventure.
- 15:50Speaker 1: We should do a road trip podcast. Oh my gosh,
- 15:54Speaker 1: going to all the places. Yes live the problem those closed,
- 15:59Speaker 1: Sandwich live from Jacks Hammered at his self named bar,
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yes live from where they now serve brunch at Tom
- 16:10Speaker 1: Tom Live from Chateau Marmont.
- 16:12Speaker 2: We have no idea who we're looking for, but we
- 16:14Speaker 2: are here.
- 16:16Speaker 1: We are here by the looking for a rich director
- 16:19Speaker 1: that's friends with an A list actor.
- 16:21Speaker 2: We have a photo of Michelle we're showing everyone do
- 16:24Speaker 2: you know this woman? Do you know this woman? Do
- 16:26Speaker 2: you know this woman? Do you know this woman? Oh?
- 16:31Speaker 1: It's just so good. But then we're back to Malibu.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They're doing a good job of switching back and forth.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm really wondering, is this actually even the same day.
- 16:43Speaker 1: But if it's not, like I'm believing it.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I'm buying it.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But Michelle and Brittany are having a heart heart I'm like,
- 16:50Speaker 1: this hard to heart, is not. It's hard to ask
- 16:53Speaker 1: for marital advice in this group. I would say, maybe
- 16:57Speaker 1: ask Nia.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Me and I know, especially like you know, when Brittany's
- 17:01Speaker 2: giving marital advice and you know they're not together anymore,
- 17:04Speaker 2: it's hard to take it seriously. But I feel badly
- 17:07Speaker 2: for her when she opens up about like not having
- 17:10Speaker 2: sex for six weeks. But then I think it came
- 17:13Speaker 2: out that it's way more than six weeks. I think
- 17:16Speaker 2: that then they it was maybe like a year. I
- 17:20Speaker 2: could get this wrong, but I feel like it made
- 17:21Speaker 2: like later in the press it came out in this episode. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 2: like I think they were fudging the truth at touch
- 17:27Speaker 2: with this. Just say six weeks that sounds good.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean later we'll talk about their actual conversation
- 17:33Speaker 1: when they get into sexy time. But Michelle says she
- 17:37Speaker 1: started to feel the same way she did a year
- 17:39Speaker 1: ago when she almost left Jesse, and she feels like
- 17:44Speaker 1: it would be happier and healthier for her daughter to
- 17:47Speaker 1: see them just co parenting, well together, verse together and unhappy.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That I do agree with if you're absolutely fighting, But
- 17:58Speaker 1: I not that I would feel any differently if I
- 18:02Speaker 1: was married to Jesse. But I don't feel like the
- 18:06Speaker 1: way she's spoken, she ever was in love with Jesse.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, because I don't feel like there's a lot of
- 18:12Speaker 2: emotion into it. And I feel like if you were
- 18:14Speaker 2: actually in love with this person at one point and
- 18:16Speaker 2: now you have lost that love and closeness, that you
- 18:21Speaker 2: would be more upset by it. She doesn't seem to
- 18:24Speaker 2: have a lot of emotions about it. It seems very
- 18:27Speaker 2: pragmatic when she talks about it. But it kind of
- 18:31Speaker 2: was just going to leave him a year ago.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yeah, like robotic, But it kind of feels like that
- 18:36Speaker 1: with every conversation she's had, Like no wonder Jesse was
- 18:40Speaker 1: turned on when she got mad and threw the chair
- 18:42Speaker 1: down dinner because she showed an emotion.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, so yeah, maybe she is just
- 18:50Speaker 2: very on a tone and robotic through life. So I
- 18:53Speaker 2: don't know. Yeah, I don't really know either.
- 18:57Speaker 1: But then we zip right back to the barbecue, this
- 19:00Speaker 1: little pep talk between the two really functional marriages, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: the guys are still talking about Jesse and Michelle's relationship.
- 19:10Speaker 1: He says Michelle consistently hangs out with the director she
- 19:12Speaker 1: met at chateaum Rmont. Jesse said, Jesse not being bothered
- 19:17Speaker 1: by it was also.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I find that weird Shane would be bothered by it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I mean even Jack's admits he would be bothered by it. Yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 2: like I feel like being bothered by that is reasonable
- 19:29Speaker 2: if you're hanging out with a wealthy director in the
- 19:32Speaker 2: Hollywood wood who is a straight man, like your husband
- 19:36Speaker 2: should be bothered by that. And also when you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Use the realtor comment, like, wouldn't they not be hanging
- 19:42Speaker 1: out at chateaum Ormont, wouldn't they be hanging out at
- 19:44Speaker 1: open houses and going to look at places for him
- 19:47Speaker 1: to purchase? Yeah, like, we don't hang out at the
- 19:51Speaker 1: I mean I've never hung out with my realtor by
- 19:53Speaker 1: the pool.
- 19:54Speaker 2: No, no, in a beginning, llo, but.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You can see Luke Colorado in the jacuzzie, like with
- 20:04Speaker 1: his miller light, like the way I'm with my candidate
- 20:06Speaker 1: dry and he's like.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, now, okay, So how does Luke know this?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Is this?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Because Michelle told Christen something a while ago. I guess.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, my guess is that Kristen and Michelle and Luke
- 20:19Speaker 1: have had a pretty close friendship prior to leading up
- 20:24Speaker 1: to this, and they know all the dirty deeds.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, And Luke wants to say it so badly, he
- 20:30Speaker 2: wants to, but he just can't. But I think he's
- 20:33Speaker 2: going to. I mean, I think I think we're pretending.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I mean because even in the scene, he kind of
- 20:41Speaker 1: looks at Jesse and he's like, so, if something were
- 20:46Speaker 1: to have happened, would you have gotten over it?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Jesse says, you absolutely not, right right?
- 20:52Speaker 1: And then then the confessional he was like pitting out.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so you think Michelle's cheated? I mean, what else
- 20:58Speaker 2: could it be?
- 20:59Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if she's cheated or if
- 21:01Speaker 1: she's just saying she's interested. I don't know if it's
- 21:03Speaker 1: an emotional affair. I cannot speculate at this point. But
- 21:07Speaker 1: I did see the scenes for next week where it
- 21:10Speaker 1: seems we're about to find out more, right, But do
- 21:14Speaker 1: you think it's going to be Luke that spills it
- 21:16Speaker 1: or I know he'll probably get it.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Christ will probably do it in some way. Kristin's such
- 21:22Speaker 3: an impact, she's going to have to I know that's right,
- 21:26Speaker 3: because she feels it deeply. So she's going to have
- 21:28Speaker 3: to say something. She can't hold on to it. She
- 21:32Speaker 3: can't hold onto it. She'll know what it'll affect the
- 21:34Speaker 3: energy in the room exactly. But everyone's going to get
- 21:39Speaker 3: mad at her. She's always the messenger.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I still do not understand why Michelle isn't upset with
- 21:45Speaker 2: whoever said the original comment Janet about the whole You know, well,
- 21:50Speaker 2: I remember what it was.
- 21:51Speaker 1: She's a Republican, she's a publican and a rasis like
- 21:54Speaker 1: all those things.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Like we never actually got to the point where she
- 21:58Speaker 2: was upset at the actual person who said it. Like
- 22:00Speaker 2: I like how Janet just kind of she just kind
- 22:03Speaker 2: of gets through, gets by with everything.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Janet's able to kind of make everybody feel.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Like they're her best friend.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I mean, even didn't on the podcast with Katie Maloney,
- 22:16Speaker 1: didn't she say I like Janet and Jesse.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yes, she did, and.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I was like, like, out of first couples, that's what
- 22:22Speaker 1: you go for first. Well, first I had to google
- 22:25Speaker 1: who's Janet and Jesse?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Who's Jesse?
- 22:27Speaker 1: But then I once I got through that part, then
- 22:30Speaker 1: I was like, oh, okay, but.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I guess I mean it makes sense. They seem like
- 22:34Speaker 2: a funny couple.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Just they seem like a funny suited couple as well,
- 22:38Speaker 1: but they seem to have.
- 22:39Speaker 2: A good Janna and Jason. Oh my god, is Jesse
- 22:43Speaker 2: Janet and Jason? Hold on?
- 22:45Speaker 1: But didn't she say Janet, Oh no, Jesse's the other
- 22:47Speaker 1: dude's side, Because then I asked her, what do you
- 22:49Speaker 1: think of Jesse?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Oh right, that's what it was. Okay, so Janet and Jason.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Sorry, sorry, But then Luke and his confessionals says, yeah,
- 23:00Speaker 1: I am holding a secret that could ruin everything. I'm like,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I hate to break it to you, Luke, it's already
- 23:05Speaker 1: been ruined.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not. They're not the epitome of a happy,
- 23:10Speaker 2: happy marriage.
- 23:11Speaker 1: So but what was he implying when Jesse, Oh, well
- 23:17Speaker 1: not what was he implying? But what about when Jesse
- 23:19Speaker 1: goes he tell his daughter that his mom everything up.
- 23:23Speaker 1: It's the battle for who's the worst this EPI like,
- 23:27Speaker 1: why is that really what you would.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Say to your daughter? I know, you know what. I
- 23:31Speaker 2: was going to ask you what you thought about that comment,
- 23:33Speaker 2: because Michelle makes all these comments about hell Jesse's a
- 23:36Speaker 2: good dad, but like, I don't see it. Is he
- 23:38Speaker 2: your good dad? Well?
- 23:40Speaker 1: They Jesse also said when Isabella is around Michelle, she's
- 23:47Speaker 1: completely different. Isabella seems like a perfect like she entertains herself,
- 23:51Speaker 1: she's playing around, She doesn't seem to be I don't
- 23:55Speaker 1: know what happens in the dynamic when all four of
- 23:57Speaker 1: them together, because I'm still stuck on the one bike ride.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I saw the rest of the time they're apart. You're
- 24:03Speaker 2: going to ride the bike, get on the bike. We're founding,
- 24:06Speaker 2: ride the bike. But yeah, I all I.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Was thinking, was I really hope that Jesse doesn't say
- 24:17Speaker 1: this a merchant his daughter. Yeah, when this does come out,
- 24:20Speaker 1: because we know that it's out now they are broken up.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I hope that wasn't the conversation he had with a
- 24:25Speaker 2: three year old. He sat her down and was like, look,
- 24:27Speaker 2: your mom, everything out? Do you need your passy to soothe?
- 24:35Speaker 1: But I also, you know, kind of During this I
- 24:38Speaker 1: was wondering about how Luke and Kristin got together, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: also how they got to.
- 24:46Speaker 2: The point of knowing this was all going to blow up.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Like how does this all happen? We know Luke and
- 24:50Speaker 1: Kristin met at a wedding blah blah blah, but how
- 24:53Speaker 1: did this closeness start? Like how did these people meeting?
- 24:58Speaker 2: Because they're in two separate geographical locations and hold, so,
- 25:03Speaker 2: how did they build a relationship where they're so close
- 25:06Speaker 2: and so into each other? Yes, I don't know, that's
- 25:09Speaker 2: a good question. I mean a lot of texting. I
- 25:13Speaker 2: don't know. The thing is that kills me about their
- 25:15Speaker 2: relationship is that they talk so much about having a baby,
- 25:19Speaker 2: but they don't talk about the logistics of how that's
- 25:22Speaker 2: going to work. I feel like they've made it clear
- 25:24Speaker 2: that they're both going to live in two separate places
- 25:26Speaker 2: and he's not willing to move to la and she's
- 25:28Speaker 2: not willing to live in Colorado. But they just keep
- 25:30Speaker 2: this conversation going about having a child, and I just
- 25:33Speaker 2: keep thinking about how is this going to work?
- 25:36Speaker 1: I also keep thinking they talk about sex a lot,
- 25:39Speaker 1: and listen, I'm happy to talk about sex as much
- 25:41Speaker 1: as the next person. But I also need to point
- 25:44Speaker 1: out something and this isn't I'm not throwing shade, but
- 25:47Speaker 1: like she keeps saying you need to be with a
- 25:49Speaker 1: thirty two year old, I'm like, you guys all look
- 25:51Speaker 1: at the same age, So just so we're clear, it's
- 25:57Speaker 1: not like we're looking at Schwartz's girlfriend at this point
- 26:01Speaker 1: and we're like, whoa like? And then I started to
- 26:04Speaker 1: really question my own self, like that man is ten
- 26:07Speaker 1: years younger than me and seventeen younger years younger than you.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Oh, thank you for pointing that out. I appreciate that.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'm just saying you had that math ready to go.
- 26:18Speaker 2: This was premeditated. I did the math.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I've been so so good.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Right, that was the fastest math I've ever seen you too, Yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 2: but you knew it extrictly how much older I was?
- 26:33Speaker 2: Thank you for that. Oh gosh. Yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Well, well here's the thing. It's like, well, I was
- 26:44Speaker 1: I right, I don't know. I can't even do something
- 26:46Speaker 1: to howl.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Are you at school? I'm forty eight, so what's the math?
- 26:51Speaker 2: Sixteen years? So I'm solved by one. Okay, I don't
- 26:55Speaker 2: even know.
- 26:57Speaker 1: All right, Then the girls are drinking wine and having
- 27:00Speaker 1: which I don't like this game where the jinga game
- 27:04Speaker 1: where they all.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Write their questions.
- 27:06Speaker 1: It's the same questions, like just the same as any
- 27:09Speaker 1: Housewife show where there's a card game you throw out
- 27:12Speaker 1: or that never have I ever like.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, just wait till you watch I really
- 27:18Speaker 2: these questions give like just talk ask questions like you
- 27:24Speaker 2: and I can ask each other questions. Why is there
- 27:26Speaker 2: always had to be a game involved? But Brittany, I
- 27:31Speaker 2: mean the question did lead to Brittany's poop story. And
- 27:34Speaker 2: I know how much you enjoy a good poop story.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I do enjoy a good poop story.
- 27:39Speaker 1: But I have to say, at one point in time,
- 27:42Speaker 1: Jax must have been very attracted and very in love
- 27:45Speaker 1: with Brittany, because if I asked Edwin to get in
- 27:48Speaker 1: the ocean so I could ship next to him and
- 27:51Speaker 1: walk away with my ship following.
- 27:54Speaker 2: He would be like, the sais ate the poop? What
- 28:00Speaker 2: are they called? Sea rays? Are sea ray? Stingrays? Yes,
- 28:04Speaker 2: sea rays like the ste ate the poop.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Like, listen, I may not be the biggest environmentalist, but
- 28:14Speaker 1: what did those stingrays do to deserve me?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Ma's cheese all over?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Them, like I just and also I want to know,
- 28:23Speaker 1: like if I have been in a situation. I grew
- 28:25Speaker 1: up on an island, so like I've been in a
- 28:28Speaker 1: situation where I've had to shit on a boat.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Do you think I told anyone? Oh, but that boat
- 28:33Speaker 2: had no restrooms so she had to go walk out
- 28:35Speaker 2: into the water and stop. Learly.
- 28:38Speaker 1: No, any of the boats that I grew up riding
- 28:41Speaker 1: around on with my friends didn't have but we'd be
- 28:43Speaker 1: on like a sand dune, and then you just go
- 28:46Speaker 1: far away from everybody and they assume you're ping, and
- 28:49Speaker 1: if accidentally you had to poop and run, that's what
- 28:51Speaker 1: it is. But please don't invite your significant other.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Or tell the parents. Well, no, the parents they now know,
- 29:00Speaker 2: but they didn't know at the time. Apparently she said
- 29:02Speaker 2: she didn't know. If they knew at the time, Yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 2: but if he were pretending they didn't know.
- 29:07Speaker 1: But then Michelle saying she doesn't even Michelle must like
- 29:11Speaker 1: Jesse a little bit. If she's not even willing to
- 29:13Speaker 1: shit in the same hotel room that he's in, she's
- 29:15Speaker 1: willing to.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Go to the lobby. I just want to know how
- 29:20Speaker 2: it happens at home, Like does she wait for him
- 29:23Speaker 2: to not be there.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Well, what I do know is I didn't need the
- 29:27Speaker 1: editors to show the flashback of Jack shitting on the toilet.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I didn't need to see that either with the door open.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yeah, didn't need it.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Didn't need it on the phone, Like I know, everybody
- 29:39Speaker 1: sits as Jerry's I give this shit a five point five.
- 29:46Speaker 1: It's not full banana shit.
- 29:47Speaker 2: But he's like, hey, this is Jack's uh to doe
- 29:50Speaker 2: it my cameo while I take a shit. Yeah.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Then Brittany tells the girl she hasn't had sex in
- 29:58Speaker 1: a month and a half and how Jack consistently puts
- 30:01Speaker 1: her down, which that consistently putting down.
- 30:06Speaker 2: She really does lift Jack's up.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I mean she may shit on boats with Jack's but
- 30:10Speaker 1: she really does lift him up and have his back,
- 30:13Speaker 1: even when he invited Kristen's.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Ex to he did. She has played. She does take
- 30:19Speaker 2: up for him and make excuses for him a lot,
- 30:22Speaker 2: but clearly she's not getting any reciprocation.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Then they show Malibu the morning after Janet says Girls'
- 30:38Speaker 1: Night was a success. They all seem violently hungover, so
- 30:43Speaker 1: like they can't they can't even look except for Michelle.
- 30:46Speaker 1: She doesn't seem to hungover. She seems interested in having
- 30:49Speaker 1: a what are they called, oh bloody Mary Mary?
- 30:52Speaker 2: Because she was going to head to shoutow Mormont. I know,
- 30:54Speaker 2: I was just going to say that she's just going
- 30:56Speaker 2: to go to shoutou Mormant, so she needed to get
- 30:58Speaker 2: the party started. What kind of bag did Britney pukein?
- 31:02Speaker 2: Do we think?
- 31:03Speaker 1: Do we think it was the chip bag because they
- 31:05Speaker 1: were eating chips the day before, or like, why did
- 31:08Speaker 1: it need to be left in the driveway? Isn't there
- 31:10Speaker 1: trash can outfunt?
- 31:13Speaker 2: I don't know why. I guess you just she didn't
- 31:15Speaker 2: pull over. See I would pull over and make her
- 31:17Speaker 2: get out and puke. I wouldn't want her to puke
- 31:20Speaker 2: right next to me into a bag while I'm driving.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Well maybe it happened multiple times and she was they
- 31:25Speaker 1: were driving, and she was like, they didn't want to
- 31:27Speaker 1: puke to splatter all over the back of the car,
- 31:29Speaker 1: so they put the.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Bag and I don't know, I'm not a puker. Then
- 31:36Speaker 2: we get back.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Then it's a we get from puke to hangovers to
- 31:40Speaker 1: Nia talking to Danny and just once again I didn't
- 31:45Speaker 1: expect to have such a real, honest, helpful conversation to
- 31:48Speaker 1: appear on this show. So thank you Nia for being
- 31:51Speaker 1: open and vulnerable and you know, for not puking in
- 31:54Speaker 1: your driveway.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah, classy, She's a classy lady.
- 31:58Speaker 1: We appreciated it, Nia, And I'm glad that Ac got
- 32:02Speaker 1: fixed because the valley is hot.
- 32:05Speaker 2: The valley is hot, especially it looks like it would
- 32:07Speaker 2: be super hot in a condo with three little children,
- 32:11Speaker 2: and no Ac, I would die.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Also, when Jesse was talking about how much he despised
- 32:17Speaker 1: the valley, I'm like, Jesse, now that you're divorced or
- 32:20Speaker 1: getting divorced, you may be living in the valley soon enough,
- 32:23Speaker 1: my friend, So I wouldn't be.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Talking to that much, right.
- 32:28Speaker 1: We all think we're going to stay somewhere and then
- 32:30Speaker 1: everybody ends up over here.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 1: But then jack talks to Brittany about her heavy drinking
- 32:36Speaker 1: when she goes out.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Brittany doesn't want her in Jackson's relationship to end up
- 32:41Speaker 2: like Michelle and Jesse's, which this conversation is actually hard
- 32:45Speaker 2: to watch because we know that they end up separated,
- 32:48Speaker 2: and I felt like Brittany was like trying to be
- 32:51Speaker 2: real enthusiastic about that's never going to help happen to us.
- 32:54Speaker 2: We're biggest things, right right, every best friends, I am
- 32:58Speaker 2: your ride or die. That's never going to happen to us.
- 33:01Speaker 2: And I felt like she was really trying to, like,
- 33:03Speaker 2: you know, right, write Jacks and he.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Just well, And then Jack's like the D word doesn't
- 33:08Speaker 1: exist in his family. They don't think it will ever
- 33:11Speaker 1: happen to them. But then they start to talk about sex.
- 33:16Speaker 1: But meanwhile he's.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Like, I don't busy. He's like, I got aletach and
- 33:22Speaker 2: I'm so tired. I have all these cameos to do,
- 33:26Speaker 2: like I probably have. What is it when like meat's undercooked?
- 33:31Speaker 2: I have salmon? Like I, well, what do you think
- 33:36Speaker 2: it is? Do you think he's not attracted to or
- 33:38Speaker 2: anymore and he's just checked out? Is that? Because that's
- 33:41Speaker 2: what I get from it.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I think that oftentimes, whether people want to admit it
- 33:49Speaker 1: or not, there are times in your relationship where it
- 33:53Speaker 1: may pivot in the attraction level. In order to get
- 33:57Speaker 1: yourself back on track, you have to like make the
- 34:01Speaker 1: effort to have sex. If you don't and too much
- 34:05Speaker 1: time passes, you just stop having sex. So whether it
- 34:10Speaker 1: means that he's attracted to her or not, or whether
- 34:12Speaker 1: it means that they've just gotten out of habit of
- 34:15Speaker 1: making an effort to be together in any sort of
- 34:19Speaker 1: intimate way. I mean, I have friends and that have
- 34:23Speaker 1: gone years because now it's so uncomfortable for one of
- 34:28Speaker 1: them to make a move. And I can say after
- 34:30Speaker 1: I had my son cruise edwhen I went for a
- 34:33Speaker 1: while without and then it got to the point where
- 34:37Speaker 1: I started feeling insecure and started feeling like Edwin wasn't
- 34:41Speaker 1: attracted to me, and we went through.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Like that was our roughest time in our marriage.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So if you don't talk about it and you don't
- 34:47Speaker 1: work through it, you can't just pretend it's going to
- 34:51Speaker 1: get better on its own. Yeah, I guess my takeaway
- 34:55Speaker 1: from that conversation was that Britney was committed to talking
- 34:58Speaker 1: about it and making it better. I don't feel like
- 35:00Speaker 1: he was fully invested in the conversation or making it better,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Like he doesn't seem interested to me. And I hate
- 35:06Speaker 1: to even ask this, but I just need to know
- 35:08Speaker 1: your thoughts. Do you think this means he's having sex
- 35:10Speaker 1: with somebody else or he's just taken that Like I'm
- 35:14Speaker 1: not having sex with it, Like because I'm not having
- 35:17Speaker 1: sex with my wife, I'm just like out of sight,
- 35:20Speaker 1: out of my mind, I'm.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Not having sex. I don't know. I just I can
- 35:23Speaker 2: only compare it to my relationship with Shane. And Shane
- 35:26Speaker 2: we've been together fifteen years, and he always wants to
- 35:29Speaker 2: have sex. There's never a time period when he doesn't.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Even when I was at my heaviest or when I
- 35:34Speaker 2: gained forty pounds, he still was attracted to me and
- 35:36Speaker 2: he still wanted to have sex all the time. So
- 35:39Speaker 2: to me, based upon my experience, when a man is
- 35:42Speaker 2: in a committed relationship but it goes a long period
- 35:45Speaker 2: of time without having sex, that doesn't make sense to me. Yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 2: and he's getting it somewhere else.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah, or unless you're struggling and you have to work
- 35:55Speaker 1: through something. But no, I mean there are but there
- 35:58Speaker 1: are times like I'm a very attracted to Edwin, Like
- 36:01Speaker 1: I love him, you know, he's my best friend. He
- 36:04Speaker 1: doesn't exist in this one.
- 36:05Speaker 2: But are you fakest Thames more thickest Thames?
- 36:08Speaker 1: But like he was going out of town and it
- 36:11Speaker 1: was like late and Edwin started.
- 36:14Speaker 2: And I was like, babe, and he.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Was like please, and I was like, okay, you.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Know, like I gave in.
- 36:21Speaker 1: It wasn't like on the top priority list for me.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I had already done all my nighttime activities and I
- 36:26Speaker 1: was ready for night night. But I still was like, okay,
- 36:29Speaker 1: you know, like he is going out of town, like you,
- 36:32Speaker 1: you make allowances for maybe the moment, and then I'll
- 36:35Speaker 1: joke about I'll be like I took one for the
- 36:36Speaker 1: team there.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Just for the record. I'm sure he appreciates hearing that.
- 36:40Speaker 2: He was like you did, and I appreciate it, thank you.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You know, but like you should be able to laugh
- 36:46Speaker 1: and have real conversation, not just well, if you wanted
- 36:48Speaker 1: to last more than two seconds, we have to do
- 36:51Speaker 1: butt stuff.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I think, yes, I'm sure she was like yay. I
- 36:58Speaker 2: don't know, maybe she was. Maybe she was like I'll
- 37:00Speaker 2: take whatever I can get. Do you think they had
- 37:04Speaker 2: sex though?
- 37:05Speaker 3: No?
- 37:05Speaker 2: No, don't you think they just did that scene and
- 37:08Speaker 2: they were like, oh, yeah, let's go, let's do some
- 37:10Speaker 2: butt stuff. Then they were like in scene, all right,
- 37:12Speaker 2: you go back to the couch. I'm gonna go upstairs,
- 37:14Speaker 2: yeah and watch Netflix. I don't even know that they've
- 37:17Speaker 2: had sex since that scene.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Probably not, Like, I just don't think that conversation because
- 37:24Speaker 1: she was also laughing about it, because you could tell
- 37:26Speaker 1: she's feeling bad about it. She's laughing about it. He's
- 37:30Speaker 1: making excuses on how tired he is from running a
- 37:32Speaker 1: bar and apparently leaf blowing his backyard. Like, I just
- 37:37Speaker 1: didn't feel that connection and there was no touching. Normally,
- 37:41Speaker 1: when you're about to have sex, there is some sort
- 37:43Speaker 1: of like physical intimacy of any kind, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 1: what about the Jesse has now cried? We have now
- 37:56Speaker 1: seen Jesse's shed of tear.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Do you feel like he just like reached over, grabbed
- 38:00Speaker 2: an onion and then cried.
- 38:02Speaker 1: You think he like took his Starbucks cup and jiggled
- 38:05Speaker 1: at the eyeside.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I actually think in that moment, maybe because he's so
- 38:11Speaker 1: obsessed with himself, the idea that somebody else isn't obsessed
- 38:14Speaker 1: with him is heartbreaking.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes sense. I'll go with that.
- 38:18Speaker 1: But I do think he says he knows he wants
- 38:23Speaker 1: to make it work, and then completely deadpan, she's like,
- 38:28Speaker 1: I can't really make any promises on my end.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yeah, no emotion, no.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Motion, He's crying and then coming up next week, we
- 38:38Speaker 1: see Michelle's secrets are going to be aired to the
- 38:41Speaker 1: entire group. Yay, yay, But also do we think that
- 38:48Speaker 1: some of these issues between Michelle and Jesse have to
- 38:53Speaker 1: do with just the way he acts in general? Or
- 38:56Speaker 1: do you think there has been Do you think this
- 39:00Speaker 1: michelle secrets being aired? Do you think this is the
- 39:03Speaker 1: first there's been secrets or do you think their entire
- 39:05Speaker 1: relationship has been secrets? But just getting the vibe off
- 39:10Speaker 1: the two of them, I don't know. I mean, she
- 39:14Speaker 1: has so little emotion, it's hard for me to read her.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Like I don't know if she went into.
- 39:19Speaker 2: This marriage very calculated knowing it wouldn't work out, or
- 39:23Speaker 2: if she actually was committed and had some emotions at
- 39:26Speaker 2: some point and now she's just she met she met
- 39:30Speaker 2: the guy at the Chateau Marmond. I don't know. Yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 2: I have no idea. I also wonder, how do you
- 39:38Speaker 2: come onto a reality show knowing that people know secrets
- 39:41Speaker 2: about you that you're on a show with unless you're
- 39:44Speaker 2: okay with it coming out When that person is Kristen, right,
- 39:48Speaker 2: like you know that's going to come up, Like I yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 2: I mean there are certain people in my life that
- 39:56Speaker 2: I feel like would hold a secret for me.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I'm not sure that person would necessarily be Christian, like
- 40:04Speaker 1: when you just see historically throughout all of the years.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Do I like watching Kristin? Yes? Do I have I
- 40:11Speaker 1: been around her and she's a lot of fun. Yes,
- 40:13Speaker 1: as she always been nice to me.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Yes. Would you tell her your deepest started secrets and
- 40:19Speaker 2: then go on a television show with her? No? I
- 40:24Speaker 2: don't know. So Okay, Well, so here's my question. Do
- 40:27Speaker 2: you think because Michelle is on a reality show, she
- 40:30Speaker 2: knows that people on the show with her know the
- 40:32Speaker 2: secret about her? Do you think she's making the relationship
- 40:35Speaker 2: look worse so it looks reasonable that she had an affair,
- 40:39Speaker 2: possibly allegedly. She would be very if that is the case.
- 40:43Speaker 2: She is very smart. Jesse started.
- 40:46Speaker 1: But Jesse does a pretty good job of making himself
- 40:48Speaker 1: look like an asshole without Sean needing.
- 40:50Speaker 2: To do that.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't really need help in that area. Well,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I have a question for you then, Yeah, just a
- 40:56Speaker 1: hypothetical question. If I were to share with you the
- 41:00Speaker 1: dark at secrets, because we talk all the time on
- 41:02Speaker 1: the pod, if I were to share with you and
- 41:04Speaker 1: then next year I was on Real Housewives of Orange County?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Would you tell them?
- 41:08Speaker 1: Absolutely so, don't tell me shit, all right, guys, thanks
- 41:25Speaker 1: for tuning in to another episode of Popping Off. Make
- 41:27Speaker 1: sure you tune in later tonight because we will be
- 41:29Speaker 1: dropping another episode with Katie from vander Pump Rules and
- 41:33Speaker 1: it's juicy juicy
