- 0:00Speaker 1: We hope to help you get over the hump for
- 0:03some others. And we always say this Wednesday might be Monday,
- 0:07or it might be Friday, whatever it might be, We're
- 0:10glad to have you with us. Welcome to the program
- 0:11this afternoon here on Sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone.
- 0:15My name is Craig Way. Glad to have you with us.
- 0:18US today has a different designation. If you were listening
- 0:24to the program yesterday, you heard the erstwhile producer of
- 0:31this radio program, Cameron Parker, detail a most unfortunate thing
- 0:37that happened to him. I believe on Monday evening he
- 0:40was lifting weights and either put too much on the
- 0:44bar and didn't have someone to spot him, or just
- 0:48did something wrong while weightlifting. As a result of that,
- 0:53it has incapacitated him. It has actually debilitated him to
- 0:59the point where and I'll tell you the story of
- 1:04just how debilitating it was for him coming up and
- 1:07inconceivable because it kind of belongs in there.
- 1:09Speaker 2: But the bottom line isn't I'm.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Making fun of him. I hope he's gonna be getting better.
- 1:13That the doctors are on my He's not here today,
- 1:16and hopefully he'll be able to return tomorrow. A reminder,
- 1:20I'm going to be out tomorrow and Friday, this being
- 1:22the open date week. You've got some personal things that
- 1:27I'll be taking care of, and Linda and I will
- 1:28be heading up to the Dallas Forward Metroplex as well
- 1:30for the weekend. So I'll be out tomorrow and Friday,
- 1:33but hopefully Cam will be back tomorrow and also Andrew
- 1:40Zimma will be checking in also with him tomorrow and Friday.
- 1:43In the meantime, speaking of firstwhile our guy behind the
- 1:50counter today, if you will, on the board, is the
- 1:54talented producer of the Morning Kickoff, which you hear each
- 1:58and every weekday morning mon Day through Friday, seven am
- 2:02to nine am here on Sports Medio AM thirteen hundred
- 2:05the Zone. He is the eyes and ears and the
- 2:09production value that brings you my cardball hard and the
- 2:14world's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. But it's Khalil Randall who's
- 2:19the secret sauce to the whole deal. It's good to
- 2:20have you with us going. We do get comfortable with
- 2:22that microphone there like you do with those guys. You
- 2:25don't think I was gonna waste your vocal talents today.
- 2:27While you're stepping in, did you.
- 2:29Speaker 3: I did not think I would be speaking today.
- 2:31Speaker 2: No, you're going to be speaking. You're going to be speaking.
- 2:34I'm glad to have you with it now.
- 2:36Speaker 1: First of all, because I did several years of work
- 2:38in morning drive, so I know that the kind of
- 2:41toll that can take on a body.
- 2:43Speaker 2: How are you feeling right now? You're holding up all right?
- 2:45I'm holding up all right.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I have some days where I just randomly pass out
- 2:49in the middle of the day, and then there are
- 2:51other days where I can just wake up about four
- 2:53and then go to sleep at you know, midnight, and
- 2:55I'm just fine and you're good to go. Today is
- 2:57one of those days.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah. See, that's because you're young. He still kind of
- 3:01think it doesn't hit you like a ton of bricks.
- 3:03So that's good. I'm glad to have you.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Thank you for stepping in today because you know it
- 3:08was tough on Cam. Hopefully he'll be able to turn
- 3:11things around. Here's what's going on that we're gonna tell
- 3:13you about. Coming up with a few minutes. We're gonna
- 3:16be joined by a gentleman who was on with you
- 3:18guys yesterday morning, Bob Ibock and He's got a pretty
- 3:22unique offer, does he not?
- 3:23Speaker 2: It does.
- 3:24Speaker 3: It's actually very very interesting, very incredible, and I think
- 3:28you should definitely tune into the next segment if you
- 3:30want to find know what it is.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Okay, all right, this is a guy I've known for
- 3:33a long time when I was here doing my first
- 3:35tour of duty with iHeart, even when it was called
- 3:40Clear Channel Radio before it was iHeart, even when it
- 3:44was something before iHeart. Clear Channel purchased it all the
- 3:48way back to the Butler broadcasting days of nineteen ninety seven,
- 3:53my first year work. In the first go around from
- 3:55ninety seven through twenty sixteen, nineteen years, I had this
- 4:00on several times because he deals in collectibles, and they're
- 4:06very unique collectibles and they're really marketed toward specific fan bases.
- 4:13I still have a basketball, one of the collective collective
- 4:17basketballs from when the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA title
- 4:20in twenty eleven. Oh wow, through Bob Eyeback and this
- 4:23group Nico Sports. So we'll hear from him coming because
- 4:28this will specifically appeal to long corn football fans. All right,
- 4:32So there's that the Wildcard series continue today. Houston Astros
- 4:38raise some eyebrows by virtue of their loss yesterday, as
- 4:44they fell yesterday to the Detroit Tigers in game one
- 4:48of that wildcards here, So they have to win the
- 4:50day or the season ends. And if they do win
- 4:52the day, there'll be one more game, all right now,
- 4:53I can tell you it's scoreless in the bottom of
- 4:55the second inning in Game two.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Will keep you updated on that one.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Also Game two, Kansas City and Baltimore playing at Oriel
- 5:02Park at Camden Yards. KC won Game three. Of the
- 5:05four teams on the road won yesterday. Detroit beat Astars
- 5:10three to one. Kansas City beat Baltimore. On the road
- 5:15won nothing. Bobby Witt Junior had the key hit at
- 5:17RBI single in the sixth inning, and the Royals bullpen
- 5:20made it stand up. The New York Mets, who spotted
- 5:24Milwaukee a couple of leads, had a huge seventh inning
- 5:30and came all over sixth inning and came all the
- 5:33way back and won the ball game. The brewer of
- 5:36the Mets beat the Brewers eight to four, so the
- 5:38Mets winning in Milwaukee.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Now, last night business was usual.
- 5:41Speaker 1: San Diego Padres, who might be the most dangerous team
- 5:43in all of Baseball shot out the Atlanta Breys four
- 5:45to nothing, so they were the only home team to
- 5:47win yesterday, so they're up one game to none. Game
- 5:50two of their series is tonight, so all of these
- 5:52game twos are being played. The thing about the Wildcards
- 5:54series is you have three games.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It's the best of three series.
- 6:01Speaker 1: If it goes three games, but they play all back
- 6:05to back to back, there's no travel. It's at one
- 6:08ballpark in this case, in the case of Houston, all
- 6:11three games. If it gets to three, we'll be at
- 6:14minu at May Park. Same thing in Baltimore, same thing
- 6:17in Milwaukee, and the same thing as well in San Diego.
- 6:20Then when you get to the Division series this weekend,
- 6:23it gets to a best of five where it's two games,
- 6:26the first two games at the higher seeded team, and
- 6:29then it could be as many as two games at
- 6:31the lower seeded team, and if there's a fifth, if
- 6:34necessary game, it'd be back at the higher seeded team.
- 6:36You have that, then the NLCS and the ALCS those
- 6:40are best of seven series, and then of course the
- 6:42World Series, which is best of seven.
- 6:43Speaker 2: So that's how that goes. We'll keep you updated on that.
- 6:47Speaker 1: We'll also hear from log Horn's hit football coach Steve sarkisha, Yes,
- 6:51it's a bye week. Yes, his only local media availability
- 6:56was on Monday, the press conference that we brought TOILL
- 6:59Live and of course Hardball Mike card jed I are
- 7:03down there along with Cameron Parker down there. Khalil is
- 7:07running it all back here and we bring you Sark's
- 7:11news conference every Monday morning at eleven thirty is part
- 7:14of our LONGRRNE Monday presentation. We begin our coverage at
- 7:17eleven and then the press conference starts at eleven thirty.
- 7:20And this week, because it's an open date on the schedule,
- 7:23the bye week on the schedule, it's the only local
- 7:26media availability for Sark. There will be no local Thursday
- 7:30zoom media availability like he normally does. However, however, Wednesday
- 7:35is SEC teleconference day. So Sark, even on a bye week,
- 7:39participated that we have some audio for that, so so
- 7:42we'll bring that to you. So we've got that all right.
- 7:44So those are the things there with that, and we'll
- 7:46here's some more from Rodney Terry, long worn men's basketball coach.
- 7:50We'll hear from him as well on what's going on
- 7:54with Texas basketball. There was a media availability yesterday. We've
- 7:56got to bring you some of the sound from that,
- 7:58so we'll do that as well. So a lot to
- 8:00get to. But up next, Bob Ayeback joins us and
- 8:03he'll visit with us. We'll do that when we continue
- 8:05here on sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone and
- 8:08where you always listen to us for free on the
- 8:09iHeartRadio app.
