  Speaker 1: Hi, Hello everybody.
• 0:13
Speaker 2: Welcome to Week two, and welcome to the NFL Fantasy
• 0:15
Speaker 2: Football Show. It's me your man, MG Marcus Grant, joined
• 0:18
Speaker 2: by Michael F. Floyo and Lakwan Jones. How are we
• 0:21
Speaker 2: feeling start a week two? How are things?
• 0:23
Speaker 3: I pulled a hammy playing slow pitch softball last night
• 0:26
Speaker 3: for those who think we're not athletes on the show,
• 0:28
Speaker 3: so I've been better.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: You're not helping the allegations.
• 0:31
Speaker 3: But I hit a home run, So there it is.
• 0:34
  Speaker 3: I pulled a hammy.
• 0:35
Speaker 1: There it is. Once we hit.
• 0:37
Speaker 4: Thirty, we're considered and we're considered wash.
• 0:39
Speaker 1: So it is what it is.
• 0:41
Speaker 3: Team washed all day.
• 0:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, man, let's go.
• 0:43
Speaker 2: That's why I like those veterans hanging on in the
• 0:45
Speaker 2: league just a little bit longer to make me feel
• 0:47
Speaker 2: kind of better about myself.
• 0:48
Speaker 1: For sure. Lots to do today.
• 0:50
Speaker 2: We're gonna go heavy on some starts and sets, but
• 0:52
Speaker 2: also letting you know, can a couple of rookie pass
• 0:54
Speaker 2: catchers stay hot in Week two? Which start tight end
• 0:57
Speaker 2: might be hitting your bench and some bulpers which include
• 1:01
Speaker 2: some redbirds getting hot down there in the desert. So
• 1:04
Speaker 2: let's dive into the starts and sins, of course. Michael
• 1:06
Speaker 2: lef Floya writes the column every single week on NFL
• 1:10
Speaker 2: dot com. You can find it at NFL dot com
• 1:11
Speaker 2: Slash Starts Sit, and I'm sure everybody just takes it
• 1:14
Speaker 2: in stride and has.
• 1:15
Speaker 1: Just nothing but constructive criticism for you.
• 1:18
Speaker 3: I've did something I should have done. I looked at
• 1:20
Speaker 3: YouTube comments from last week and people were calling out
• 1:23
Speaker 3: the start sit plays before snap was even played. Someone
• 1:27
Speaker 3: said in Mecca Buka, I was very dumb to say
• 1:29
Speaker 3: to start them. Well, they vanished.
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: Yeah, they did.
• 1:33
Speaker 2: Like Homer Simpson on the quand shirt, just kind of
• 1:35
Speaker 2: like you back into the bushes again. You're not gonna
• 1:39
Speaker 2: hear from those people again until week two.
• 1:42
Speaker 3: They're all Week two comments guaranteed. They're like this idiot's back.
• 1:45
Speaker 2: They're all the way back again. So let's dive into
• 1:48
Speaker 2: your starts and sets. Let's start with the quarterback position,
• 1:51
Speaker 2: the guys that you have on the plus side, the
• 1:53
Speaker 2: guys that you have on the negative side.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: Who are your starts and sits at quarterback? This week?
• 1:58
Speaker 3: Just like last week, running with Justin f again, I
• 2:01
Speaker 3: think he is going to run plenty and he looked
• 2:03
Speaker 3: fantastic as a passer. I like, Justin Herbert, you gotta
• 2:07
Speaker 3: wait till Monday night. But he threw a lot more
• 2:09
Speaker 3: than anticipated and looked really good doing so. Kyler Murray
• 2:13
Speaker 3: just has another advantageous matchup this week. And I know,
• 2:17
Speaker 3: usually when you have a team that gives up the
• 2:19
  Speaker 3: run a lot, you're like, that doesn't help a quarterback.
• 2:21
Speaker 3: But it's Kyler Murray, so that helps the quarterback. Dak
• 2:24
Speaker 3: Prescott has a long history of success against the Giants,
• 2:27
Speaker 3: Drake May gets the Dolphins that I think we are
• 2:29
Speaker 3: going to pick on the Dolphins secondary a lot this season,
• 2:33
Speaker 3: and then some sits Jared Goff, I'm really worried about that.
• 2:36
Speaker 3: Olon and the Bears were able to generate pressure in
• 2:38
Speaker 3: Week one. C J Shrouds same thing that Oline did him.
• 2:40
Speaker 3: Absolutely no favors against Lakwan's rams. Aaron Rodgers, I'm not
• 2:45
Speaker 3: buying the four touchdown day, Like, if he doesn't do that,
• 2:48
Speaker 3: you're probably looking at a much smaller fantasy number. Trevor
• 2:51
Speaker 3: Lawrence is only for the desperate. I know a lot
• 2:52
Speaker 3: of people might be considering him because of the matchup.
• 2:55
Speaker 3: And then Daniel Jones like, if I'm not buying Aaron Rodgers.
• 2:57
  Speaker 3: There's no way I'm buying.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Daniel Jones the whole.
• 3:00
Speaker 2: I just say, you look at the four touchdown, that's great.
• 3:02
Speaker 2: His average air yards per attempt like four point three,
• 3:05
Speaker 2: Like that was I mean just extended handoffs from Aaron
• 3:09
Speaker 2: Rodgers to his pass catches. Five percent of his passing
• 3:12
Speaker 2: yards were a yards after the catch. One of the
• 3:15
Speaker 2: thames on here, Justin Herbert Lakwan. We came into the
• 3:18
Speaker 2: season thinking the Chargers are going to be really run heavy.
• 3:20
Speaker 2: They threw the ball sixty of the time in Week one.
• 3:24
Speaker 2: Wile do we maybe have to readjust our evaluations on Herbo.
• 3:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, it looks like they got a new DNA over there,
• 3:31
Speaker 4: you know in LA, the other LA team. But I
• 3:33
Speaker 4: do feel like, you know, this being the week one start,
• 3:36
Speaker 4: they started off bounds fifty pass and run last year
• 3:41
Speaker 4: in Week one, I think this is a new formula
• 3:43
Speaker 4: of having Keenan Allen added to this passing group. He
• 3:46
Speaker 4: has another reliable wide receiver on this offense, and I
• 3:49
Speaker 4: think they might lean into that. And also seven rushing attempts,
• 3:53
Speaker 4: he looked good with the wheels getting out of the pocket.
• 3:55
Speaker 4: So I do feel very comfortable having Justin Herbert on
• 3:58
Speaker 4: my rosters, and he's going to be a start and
• 4:00
Speaker 4: forget for me if he comes out of this week
• 4:02
Speaker 4: shining how he did in Week one.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: I do want to correct you on one thing.
• 4:06
Speaker 2: The Chargers are actually the original LA team.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: The Rams came from Cleveland. I'm just putting that out there.
• 4:14
Speaker 3: All I know, my history brother, no coach loves their
• 4:18
Speaker 3: quarterback more than no one. Did you see Harborough's quote
• 4:21
Speaker 3: the other day? He was like, Herbert took a hit
• 4:23
Speaker 3: that would have killed a lesser man. I had tears
• 4:25
Speaker 3: in my eyes, like it's the funniest quote I've ever heard.
• 4:28
Speaker 2: Find someone who loves you the way Jim Harbor loves justin.
• 4:33
Speaker 3: Herbert the reason to his players, I hope he doesn't
• 4:36
Speaker 3: have sons because they got replaced.
• 4:41
Speaker 2: As we dive into this this Charger offense a little
• 4:44
Speaker 2: bit more, I know, we sort of went back and
• 4:46
Speaker 2: forth about who's the alpha between Lad McConkie and Keenan Allen.
• 4:51
Speaker 2: Let's also not forget Quentin Johnston though in this offense.
• 4:54
Speaker 2: I know we'll talk about some wide receivers a little
• 4:56
Speaker 2: bit later on, but are we looking at a situation
• 4:58
Speaker 2: Florida where now there are three legit pass catchers to
• 5:02
Speaker 2: take into account with the.
• 5:02
Speaker 3: Chargers, I think so, I think Quinton Johnston is going
• 5:06
Speaker 3: to be a little bit more volatile than the other two.
• 5:09
Speaker 3: I feel the floors are much safer with Keenan and
• 5:12
Speaker 3: with lad but the passing volume was funneled through these
• 5:17
Speaker 3: three guys, and I don't see. You look at the
• 5:20
Speaker 3: rest of their roster and like, I don't see a
• 5:22
Speaker 3: reason for that to change. Like Quentin Johnston, say what
• 5:26
Speaker 3: we will about him, but something I pointed on Fantasy
• 5:29
Speaker 3: Live is like, even when he was struggling in the past,
• 5:32
Speaker 3: he was getting open. He was just dropping them, you know,
• 5:35
Speaker 3: like he's now. The catch rate is the biggest thing
• 5:37
Speaker 3: that changed from week one compared to past years. And
• 5:40
Speaker 3: he's their go to guy in the red and end zone.
• 5:42
Speaker 3: So touchdowns alone are probably gonna keep him a float
• 5:45
  Speaker 3: most weeks.
• 5:45
Speaker 2: I'm not trying to say he's DeVante Adams, but let's
• 5:48
Speaker 2: remember DeVante Adams his rookie year.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: Had major issues with drops and.
• 5:52
Speaker 2: Packers fans were ready to be done with him, and
• 5:54
Speaker 2: he just instead blossomed into one of the top receivers
• 5:57
Speaker 2: in the league. So you know, sometimes you can work
• 6:00
Speaker 2: on a problem and you can get better. And maybe
• 6:02
Speaker 2: that's what Quinton Johnston is doing. That's all I'm saying.
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: Yeah, the right.
• 6:07
Speaker 2: Oh wait, one real quick thing. Tremor Lawns is on
• 6:10
Speaker 2: the sets. Where is he on the middle meter? And
• 6:12
Speaker 2: does he move up in the middle meter? You think
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: this this week?
• 6:15
Speaker 4: The middle meter needs to be updated. It needs to
• 6:18
Speaker 4: based down here where I can extend the board to
• 6:20
Speaker 4: T low because boy, week one was terrible, so hopefully
• 6:25
Speaker 4: in week two we can actually get some movement here.
• 6:27
Speaker 4: So I do kind of want to move him up
• 6:30
Speaker 4: in this matchup, but then he has to prove me wrong,
• 6:32
Speaker 4: you know, then we'll see.
• 6:33
Speaker 3: He should start in the middle and.
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: Week to week.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what if we if we can offer
• 6:40
Speaker 2: a revision you have you have T law, T mid
• 6:43
Speaker 2: and then T low and you can go from like
• 6:45
Speaker 2: low to law eventually or something like that.
• 6:47
Speaker 4: I mean, after week one performance, we can revise the
• 6:50
Speaker 4: board and he will be at T low of the
• 6:52
Speaker 4: deep depths of the Earth's core.
• 6:55
Speaker 3: Right, it's not even Trevor Midlaw.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: We're going Trevor Trevor Low.
• 7:00
Speaker 2: This is it's kind of where has him right now?
• 7:03
Speaker 2: All right, let's let's move over to the running backs.
• 7:05
Speaker 2: As we look at the starts and sits there, who
• 7:07
Speaker 2: you got up, who you got down?
• 7:08
Speaker 3: I'm playing Breeze Hall because the Bills were ran all
• 7:11
Speaker 3: over and he has a history of success against him.
• 7:14
Speaker 3: O Marion Hampton dominated volume and touches and pass game usage,
• 7:17
Speaker 3: and people still were complaining it's ridiculous to me, Traveon Henderson.
• 7:22
Speaker 3: I know week one wasn't what we wanted, but I
• 7:25
Speaker 3: think this is a kind of matchup where the big
• 7:27
Speaker 3: plays come. Tony Poller just dominates volume and I think
• 7:30
Speaker 3: that's enough to make him a strong start in fantasy.
• 7:33
Speaker 3: And same thing with Travis Etn. Travis Etn was so
• 7:36
Speaker 3: good that they were like, we're gonna trade your competition away.
• 7:39
Speaker 3: And then the sits. It really pains me, Isaiah Pacheco,
• 7:42
Speaker 3: but the usage really frightened me in week one, and
• 7:45
Speaker 3: the matchup is scary. Kenneth Walker did not like the
• 7:47
Speaker 3: usage at all for week one. Not a must sit,
• 7:50
Speaker 3: more option dependent. RJ. Harvey just I know lq's gonna
• 7:55
Speaker 3: be upset with me over this. I want Harvey to
• 7:57
Speaker 3: be a thing. But seven touches and so few snaps
• 8:01
Speaker 3: it's hard to trust the Browns running backs if Quinn
• 8:05
Speaker 3: Shawn Jupkins plays, If not, Samson could be in play
• 8:08
Speaker 3: as a flex option. And then Nick Chubb. Look, I
• 8:11
Speaker 3: know he had a few good runs in the preseason,
• 8:13
Speaker 3: but that old line is gonna tear everything down.
• 8:16
Speaker 2: I think it broke my brain to look and see
• 8:18
Speaker 2: Brown's rbs and then Nick Chubb intwo separate. I was like, wait,
• 8:24
Speaker 2: that's right, that's right. Not used to seeing that at all. Okay,
• 8:28
Speaker 2: lakwan with R. J. Harvey, do you want to tell
• 8:31
Speaker 2: Florio to his face why he's wrong? Or do you
• 8:33
Speaker 2: want to get on your burner and go to the.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: Want Tom do it?
• 8:37
Speaker 4: Listen, this is I'm gonna take this from Michael Scott.
• 8:39
Speaker 4: Why are you the way you are?
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: Why?
• 8:42
Speaker 4: Why? How do you watch this man lead his team
• 8:45
Speaker 4: in scrimmage yard See how explosive he is and he
• 8:47
Speaker 4: has that home brank Look we got the clip, yes,
• 8:50
Speaker 4: let's go, and that's in between the tackles. Everybody was
• 8:53
Speaker 4: crying about him bouncing outside too much. That's in between
• 8:56
Speaker 4: the tackles and he's still getting a field. I think
• 8:58
Speaker 4: Sean Payton is gonna unleash him this you know why,
• 9:00
Speaker 4: because Manti is my Sean Peyton whisperer. Okay, Manti, I
• 9:05
Speaker 4: want to shout you out, because if he goes off
• 9:07
Speaker 4: this game, all the credit goes to him. He is
• 9:10
Speaker 4: going to be ramped up in these touches, and I
• 9:12
Speaker 4: think this game he's going to bounce outside because exactly
• 9:15
Speaker 4: what bres Hall was able to do last week. I
• 9:17
Speaker 4: think that you know, we're going to see a revamp
• 9:20
Speaker 4: of the electric going into r J.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: Harvey. Wait, how did Manti tayl become the Sean Payton whispers.
• 9:26
Speaker 3: Because yeah, yeah, I was wondering where that tie.
• 9:29
Speaker 4: Listen. He knows a little bit that I don't want
• 9:31
Speaker 4: to disclose yet, but he knows how Sean Payton actually
• 9:35
Speaker 4: operates as a coach. So I just want to put
• 9:37
Speaker 4: that out there that Manti's my whisper when it comes
• 9:40
  Speaker 4: to r J. Harvey.
• 9:41
Speaker 2: Moving forward, well, I guess they were probably in New
• 9:44
Speaker 2: Orleans together, Yeah, trying like where they would have crossed pass.
• 9:47
Speaker 4: After the charger after New Orleans.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: There you go, all right, that makes some sense.
• 9:52
Speaker 2: We'll get back to some more starts and says a
• 9:53
Speaker 2: little bit later on in the show, we want to
• 9:55
Speaker 2: turn our attention to some of the Marquee prime time
• 9:58
Speaker 2: games in Week two, starting with Sunday Night Football. The Falcons,
• 10:03
Speaker 2: after losing a heartbreaker, they go to Minnesota to take
• 10:05
Speaker 2: on the Vikings, who pulled one out against the Bears
• 10:08
Speaker 2: on Monday night. You can see that game on Sunday eight,
• 10:11
Speaker 2: twenty e Eastern time on NBC and at Universo as well.
• 10:17
Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy Florida was really good in the second half
• 10:19
Speaker 2: of that game. Would you consider starting him in one
• 10:23
Speaker 2: QB leagues option dependent?
• 10:26
Speaker 3: I think, like, obviously you're not playing him over any
• 10:30
Speaker 3: of the top five quarterbacks that were drafted. I'm not
• 10:32
Speaker 3: playing him over Justin Fields. I would rather play Kyler
• 10:36
Speaker 3: Murray this week. I would rather play Dak. I like
• 10:39
Speaker 3: Drake may like if you have like him or Goff,
• 10:43
Speaker 3: I still think I would play.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: We should playm over Caleb because you know, like that
• 10:51
Speaker 2: they were the guys that went to the head last week.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, I would, Okay, I like the matchup better, Okay, all.
• 10:57
Speaker 3: Right, but it's close. It's it's very close, all right,
• 11:00
  Speaker 3: all right?
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I think.
• 11:03
Speaker 2: Falcon pass rush is underrated, But you know, let's also
• 11:06
Speaker 2: not forget what we all believed Kevin O'Connor will put
• 11:08
Speaker 2: his quarterback in a position to succeed, and that's what
• 11:11
Speaker 2: we saw in week one.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: You gotta believe he could do it again.
• 11:13
Speaker 3: The thing I always say with JJ is like, you're
• 11:15
Speaker 3: not trusting him, You're trusting Koc Justin Jefferson, Hawkinson and
• 11:19
Speaker 3: all that around him exactly exactly.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: And look he's at home and it's a Yes.
• 11:24
Speaker 2: The Falcons have a good pass rush, They're still not
• 11:25
Speaker 2: as good defensively as the Bears, so maybe reasons to
• 11:29
Speaker 2: be optimistic there. Looking at the first touchdown odds for
• 11:32
Speaker 2: the Sunday night game between the Falcons and the Vikings,
• 11:36
Speaker 2: you will not be shocked to learn that John Robinson
• 11:39
Speaker 2: has the best touchdown odds.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: No, no way.
• 11:41
Speaker 2: It's hard to believe right that you know a guy
• 11:43
Speaker 2: who's one of the best running backs in the league
• 11:45
Speaker 2: has the first has the best.
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Wild though, I will say, or.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: Number two. Did you put this list together out? Yes,
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: I feel like.
• 11:56
Speaker 2: The fact that Jordan Mason is ahead of Justine y
• 12:00
Speaker 2: Person is a little bit wild. Jesse Jefferson is third
• 12:03
Speaker 2: at plus six fifty, Aaron Jones is number four, and
• 12:06
Speaker 2: then Drake London both Jones and London.
• 12:09
Speaker 1: Coming in at plus nine hundreds. We still got plenty
• 12:13
Speaker 1: left to go through.
• 12:14
Speaker 2: Still got a couple of Monday night football games that
• 12:16
Speaker 2: we want to dive into, plus some more of the
• 12:19
Speaker 2: Stardoms and Sidams, wide receivers and.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: Tight ends, plus some bold predictions, all still to.
• 12:23
Speaker 2: Come here on the NFL Fantasy Football Show. Continuing on
• 12:32
Speaker 2: through our look at the week two primetime games. We
• 12:35
Speaker 2: got a pair of Monday night games coming up this week.
• 12:37
Speaker 2: The first one the Buccaneers at the Texans. You can
• 12:40
Speaker 2: see that Monday, seven pm Eastern on ESPN ABC and
• 12:43
Speaker 2: ESPN de Portes. Baker Mayfield a guy we were drafting
• 12:48
Speaker 2: as a top five, maybe top six, probably top six,
• 12:51
Speaker 2: top seven quarterbacks, probably a little bit more accurate with
• 12:53
  Speaker 2: a Baker Mayfield.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Decent start in Week one. The touchdown numbers certainly helped. Lakwan.
• 12:59
Speaker 2: Would did you consider Baker I start this week? I
• 13:02
Speaker 2: guess the really physical Texans defense.
• 13:05
Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm worried about that pass rush. I'm worried about
• 13:07
Speaker 4: them getting takeaways from Baker. So I'm kind of pivoting
• 13:10
Speaker 4: in my own personal leagues from putting Baker in this
• 13:12
Speaker 4: week because look, my Rams might have gotten the win,
• 13:15
Speaker 4: but it was a very close game, a very ugly win.
• 13:17
Speaker 4: But it was one of those games where the Texans
• 13:19
Speaker 4: defense was fierce on that defensive line, and I'm not sure.
• 13:22
Speaker 4: With Baker struggling last week in the passing yards, it
• 13:25
Speaker 4: looked like it was just mass in his fantasy performance
• 13:27
Speaker 4: by a three touchdowns, which is great, But this Texans
• 13:30
Speaker 4: defense is definitely gonna be physical. They're gonna be fast,
• 13:33
Speaker 4: flying around. They're gonna be getting that pressure on Baker.
• 13:35
Speaker 4: So I'm pivoting to other options this week.
• 13:39
Speaker 2: I also was looking at the wide receiver matchup there
• 13:42
Speaker 2: for a Mecca Abuka, who was fantastic in Week one.
• 13:46
Speaker 2: I would imagine he's gonna line up on Derek Stingley
• 13:48
Speaker 2: a few times. Stingley one of the top corners in
• 13:50
  Speaker 2: the NFL. I don't expect Stingley's gonna travel like I
• 13:53
Speaker 2: don't think he's gonna travel around with Mike Evans h
• 13:55
Speaker 2: so he may line up on Abuka.
• 13:56
Speaker 1: I think this is gonna be his first real test
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: ye wide receiver.
• 14:01
Speaker 2: If I have Baker, I'm probably starting him, but I'm
• 14:04
Speaker 2: kind of with you on I'm not super excited about
• 14:08
Speaker 2: what it could be this week for him, for sure.
• 14:11
Speaker 2: The other money nine game Chargers in Las Vegas is
• 14:13
Speaker 2: take on the Raiders and you can see that game
• 14:16
Speaker 2: ten pm Eastern on ESPN and also on ESPN Deportes.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: Ashton Gent not great in Week one. He scored the
• 14:23
Speaker 2: touchdown which definitely kind of helped boost his numbers. The
• 14:26
Speaker 2: Chargers have a good run defense. Shouldn't we be worried
• 14:28
Speaker 2: about Gent this week?
• 14:30
Speaker 3: I'm not at that point yet. He played eighty six
• 14:33
Speaker 3: percent in the snaps last week. He had twenty one opportunities.
• 14:36
Speaker 3: He got the goal on work. To me, that's what
• 14:39
Speaker 3: I care about most in week one is opportunity, and
• 14:42
Speaker 3: he had all of it. Now, I get it tough
• 14:45
Speaker 3: Chargers run defense week Raiders O line. But if genty
• 14:49
Speaker 3: is the talent that we think he is, he'll be
• 14:51
Speaker 3: able to overcome stuff like that.
• 14:52
Speaker 2: And I should definitely clarify like, I don't think this
• 14:55
Speaker 2: is something like panic he's a bust or whatever I
• 14:58
Speaker 2: think he had, you know, didn't have a great in
• 15:00
Speaker 2: Week one. I just think he's a tough matchup in
• 15:01
Speaker 2: Week two. I think over the long haul, Ashton Gent
• 15:04
Speaker 2: is going to be fine. If you spent a first
• 15:06
Speaker 2: round or early second round pick on him. I'm not
• 15:09
Speaker 2: telling you should freak out and try to like trade
• 15:11
Speaker 2: him or anything like.
• 15:11
Speaker 3: There were people freaking out on Twitter though.
• 15:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think we're at that point.
• 15:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, like we're we're a long way from that long season.
• 15:20
Speaker 4: If you're panicking in week one.
• 15:21
Speaker 2: If you're panicing already, exactly, it's just I just look
• 15:24
Speaker 2: at it as a tough matchup and you know, hey,
• 15:27
Speaker 2: maybe you know, he just didn't get off to a
• 15:28
  Speaker 2: good start.
• 15:29
Speaker 3: Someone on Twitter was like, is Terry McLaurin done for?
• 15:31
Speaker 1: And I was like, no, name, what are we doing.
• 15:36
Speaker 3: It's a reminder that like not everyone you know, they're
• 15:39
  Speaker 3: they're they're living in.
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: Week to week.
• 15:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, which game? But man, sometimes just just take a
• 15:47
Speaker 2: deep breath. It's gonna be all right.
• 15:48
Speaker 4: Last I saw, yeah.
• 15:50
Speaker 2: Remember your pressure points. Let's get back to the starts
• 15:54
Speaker 2: and sits. Looking at the wide receivers. A lot of
• 15:57
Speaker 2: names on this side here, who are your starts and
• 16:00
  Speaker 2: sets here?
• 16:01
Speaker 3: I'm going with Travis Hunter, who led the team in
• 16:03
Speaker 3: targets and catches last week in a game that I
• 16:06
Speaker 3: think the Jaguars have to throw a lot more Ricky Pearsall.
• 16:09
Speaker 3: I know Brock Purdy isn't going to be playing, but
• 16:11
Speaker 3: I still think he's in play as the top target
• 16:14
Speaker 3: for the forty nine ers Niners min Irwin, I'm a
• 16:18
Speaker 3: believer he's the top option for Josh Allen. He's the
• 16:21
Speaker 3: end zone option. Ameca Abuka, I know here everything you
• 16:25
Speaker 3: guys were saying. I still think he's gonna see a
• 16:27
Speaker 3: lot of time at a slot. And the Texans gave
• 16:29
Speaker 3: up the third most slot yards. I know that's pooping Nakua,
• 16:31
Speaker 3: but still Calvin Ridley, I think is just gonna have
• 16:34
Speaker 3: a much better day because he's not gonna have Pat
• 16:36
Speaker 3: Sirtan on him for over eighty percent of the snaps.
• 16:39
Speaker 3: And then I also have Marquise Brown and Keenan Allen
• 16:42
Speaker 3: as starts the sits Jalen Wattle because man, it's getting
• 16:46
Speaker 3: ugly fast in Miami, Jerry Judy, the Brown spread the
• 16:51
Speaker 3: ball out a lot last week, and the Ravens defense
• 16:53
Speaker 3: I think is a lot better than it looked in
• 16:55
Speaker 3: Week one. Michael Pittman Junior. For the same reason that
• 16:58
Speaker 3: Calvin Ridley had a bad game in Week one, probably
• 17:00
Speaker 3: gonna have a bad game and Week two for Pittman
• 17:02
Speaker 3: because of Patrick's Aerten and then Cooper Cup. Like, I mean,
• 17:05
Speaker 3: I don't even know if Sam Darnold knows Cooper Cup
• 17:08
Speaker 3: is a thing right now.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: I I know he only got the three targets. I
• 17:12
Speaker 2: think they're gonna start spreading it out a little bit more,
• 17:14
Speaker 2: just gonna have to. Like Jackson, Smith and Jagba had
• 17:17
Speaker 2: thirteen targets, the rest of the Seahawks had nine combined,
• 17:19
Speaker 2: and like, that's just not sustainable the course of a
• 17:22
Speaker 2: full season. You're we'll go a little bit off menu here, Lakwan, Yeah,
• 17:27
Speaker 2: I know. We were going back and forth about who
• 17:29
Speaker 2: is the alpha in the Chargers passing game? Is it Ladd,
• 17:33
Speaker 2: is it Keenan Allen? I feel like this is not
• 17:35
Speaker 2: gonna be the last time we have this conversation. But
• 17:38
Speaker 2: that being said, Keenan came back to Los Angeles and
• 17:41
Speaker 2: reminded you of who he was all those years with
• 17:44
  Speaker 2: the Chargers.
• 17:44
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he did, man, And just looking at the stats, man,
• 17:47
Speaker 4: thirty five percent of his routes he was targeted on.
• 17:49
Speaker 4: He only played sixty one percent of the snaps, So
• 17:51
Speaker 4: that just heightens his attention that he brings on the
• 17:54
Speaker 4: field and the comfortability with Justin Herbert. I know Ladd
• 17:57
Speaker 4: is there as well, but he is a compimary piece
• 17:59
Speaker 4: to this all offense. I think he makes a lot
• 18:01
Speaker 4: of decoy decisions for a lot of defenders making business
• 18:04
Speaker 4: decisions to obviously cover him because he is just as good.
• 18:07
Speaker 4: But when Keenan Allen's on the field, he has been
• 18:09
Speaker 4: nothing but an alpha his entire career. I think there
• 18:12
Speaker 4: is still a lot of juice left in Keenan Allen.
• 18:15
Speaker 4: His target separation rate is still above league gabage it
• 18:18
Speaker 4: was last season as well, generated one hundred targets with
• 18:21
Speaker 4: the Chicago Bears with Kayla Williams. I think that he's
• 18:23
Speaker 4: still going to be the Keenan Allen that we known
• 18:26
Speaker 4: in love when he was in that Chargers uniform.
• 18:27
Speaker 2: Moving forward, I thought was interesting that he played a
• 18:31
Speaker 2: lot out wide. I think we just got so used
• 18:34
Speaker 2: to him being a big slot receiver and doing damage there,
• 18:37
Speaker 2: But I spent a lot of his time out wide
• 18:39
Speaker 2: in Week one, was heavily used, was pretty much almost
• 18:42
Speaker 2: exclusively used in three wide receiver sets. Now again, the
• 18:45
Speaker 2: offense a lot more pass heavy in Week one than
• 18:48
Speaker 2: we anticipated, so that definitely.
• 18:50
Speaker 3: Helps forgetting every ounce of Keenan Allen out. So when
• 18:52
Speaker 3: those legs get wobbly late in the year, you.
• 18:56
Speaker 2: Know we're gonna have We're gonna have that week right
• 18:58
Speaker 2: where Keenan's like on the end report and he's gonna
• 19:01
Speaker 2: be like, I'm gonna play this week and then he'll
• 19:02
Speaker 2: get like two targets. He's gonna be like a decoy
• 19:04
Speaker 2: out there or something like that. Like we always have
• 19:06
Speaker 2: one of those weeks with Keenan Allen.
• 19:08
Speaker 4: I do expect him to ramp it up with him, man,
• 19:10
Speaker 4: I do expect that sixty one percent a snap just
• 19:12
Speaker 4: kind of gets up there higher and hire man because
• 19:14
Speaker 4: he can still ball and he's shown this to that and.
• 19:16
Speaker 2: Yeah he's thirty three though, step dude, we're thirty three.
• 19:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not trying to play sixty percent in the
• 19:24
  Speaker 3: NFL game.
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
• 19:25
Speaker 3: I pulled my hand. He's playing slow pitch softball.
• 19:28
Speaker 4: I'm just saying, that's not old to me.
• 19:29
Speaker 1: Man, we stay out here kicking. I ain't washed in
• 19:32
  Speaker 1: real life.
• 19:32
Speaker 3: No, it's what we it's not old for the Earth's
• 19:34
Speaker 3: not too old for the Earth's old.
• 19:37
Speaker 1: That's what it is all right, let's move over to
• 19:39
Speaker 1: the tight ends. Florida. Who are your starts?
• 19:42
Speaker 3: And since now that seed is just gonna run my
• 19:45
Speaker 3: head all day, Tyler Warren is a mustard already. I
• 19:48
Speaker 3: don't even think I have to explain that one. Uh
• 19:51
Speaker 3: Evan Ingram we the weirdest injury thing, Like we're not
• 19:53
Speaker 3: getting any news on him. If he ends up playing
• 19:56
Speaker 3: this week, I think he's solid. If not, obviously you
• 19:58
Speaker 3: got to go in another direction. Hunter Henry is just underappreciated,
• 20:02
Speaker 3: and again I want Patriots in this matchup. Jake Ferguson
• 20:05
Speaker 3: was the number two target for DAK last week, and
• 20:07
Speaker 3: I think he is a safety blanket. And then Juan
• 20:10
Speaker 3: Johnson I think is just the apple of Spencer Rattler's
• 20:12
Speaker 3: eye for whatever that means, since the Swifties are gonna
• 20:16
Speaker 3: come for me. But I don't love the matchup. I
• 20:18
Speaker 3: don't love the Week one usage, I don't love the
• 20:20
Speaker 3: production going back to last year. So if you have
• 20:22
Speaker 3: another tight end you like, I think try to get
• 20:24
  Speaker 3: away from Kelsey.
• 20:25
  Speaker 1: Tucker.
• 20:26
Speaker 3: Craft is super touchdown dependent, at least with the Week
• 20:28
Speaker 3: one volume, and even with the touchdown, he didn't have
• 20:31
Speaker 3: ten Fantasy points. Dal Kincaid had a big game, but
• 20:34
Speaker 3: I don't think it was four targets. You can't really
• 20:36
Speaker 3: rely on that, Harold Fan and Junior. I want on
• 20:38
Speaker 3: as many rosters as I can, but I want to
• 20:41
Speaker 3: see it a second week and against the tough defense
• 20:44
Speaker 3: like the Ravens before. I just blindly put him in,
• 20:46
Speaker 3: but again that's a little bit more option dependent. And
• 20:49
Speaker 3: then Colson Lovelin, like I want him to be a thing.
• 20:52
Speaker 3: But Cole Comet was the tight end one on Monday Night.
• 20:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was absolutely wild over on the start side,
• 20:57
Speaker 2: Quhan are feeling furgolicious this week?
• 20:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I like that.
• 21:00
Speaker 4: That's kind of a wild man. But Fergie Fergi is, Yeah,
• 21:04
Speaker 4: he's part of this Cowboys offensive game plan. Like I
• 21:08
Speaker 4: was really impressed with his target share eighteen percent, and
• 21:11
Speaker 4: I honestly think that when you look how this season
• 21:13
Speaker 4: is going to look, it's gonna be the trio of
• 21:16
Speaker 4: Cede Lamb, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson. This is everything
• 21:18
Speaker 4: Isaiah Stanback has been telling us all his time when
• 21:21
Speaker 4: Good Morning Football, explaining how this Cowboys offense is going
• 21:25
Speaker 4: to be operating. That is Dak's security blanket. And we
• 21:27
Speaker 4: have to remember in twenty twenty three he let all
• 21:29
Speaker 4: tight ends in red zone targets. With twenty three, I
• 21:32
Speaker 4: could see this ramping up as the season progressed, once
• 21:35
Speaker 4: they get all in sync and George Pickens's role is
• 21:38
Speaker 4: in stone of what he's actually gonna be. I do
• 21:40
Speaker 4: think that Jake Ferguson just goes under the radar for
• 21:42
Speaker 4: a lot of folks man, and he can ball when
• 21:44
  Speaker 4: he's healthy.
• 21:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's gonna be better. I think he
• 21:48
Speaker 2: gets some more help from his teammates soon. That's just
• 21:50
Speaker 2: gonna help everybody around him in that passing game.
• 21:52
  Speaker 1: All right.
• 21:53
Speaker 2: For more of the Startup sitt, of course, you can
• 21:55
Speaker 2: go to NFL dot com slash Starts sit and see
• 21:57
Speaker 2: the entirety of Michael Florio's column. Now, get you ready,
• 22:01
Speaker 2: get that, get that We're shot. I get that glass
• 22:03
Speaker 2: of milk, and it's time for hot takes. We're gonna
• 22:05
Speaker 2: close out the show by getting a little bit spicy, lakwan,
• 22:08
Speaker 2: what is your hot take for the week.
• 22:10
Speaker 4: I'm buying tickets to the Kyle Pits Breakout Show, and
• 22:13
Speaker 4: I'm expecting a top five performance. I'm not all the
• 22:17
Speaker 4: way back I'm going to check it out. The night
• 22:19
Speaker 4: one reviews were cool, they were calm, collected, but with
• 22:21
Speaker 4: Drake Linon banged up, Michael Pennix kept his word that
• 22:25
Speaker 4: Kyle Pits will be involved in this offense. And I
• 22:27
Speaker 4: love how Zach Robinson is using him in this offense.
• 22:30
Speaker 4: So they're creating opportunities for him to get open and
• 22:33
Speaker 4: not making them work too hard. So I'm expecting a
• 22:36
Speaker 4: top five performance from Kyle Pitts SR.
• 22:40
Speaker 1: Man. I just I want to believe it.
• 22:41
Speaker 2: I'm I feel like I have less faith in the
• 22:43
Speaker 2: Falcons this week than a lot of other people, but
• 22:44
Speaker 2: I'm ready to be proven wrong.
• 22:46
Speaker 1: I will be glad to be wrong.
• 22:48
Speaker 3: I stream Pits in the league last week. It worked
• 22:50
Speaker 3: out then, yeah, a little bit.
• 22:51
Speaker 1: A little bit work.
• 22:52
Speaker 4: I can tell you different views when I get back
• 22:54
  Speaker 4: from the show.
• 22:55
Speaker 1: Sounds good, Florido, what's your hot take for the week.
• 22:59
Speaker 3: I think this is gonna Drake Mayn's breakout week because
• 23:02
Speaker 3: of the matchup against the Miami Dolphins and Daniel Jones
• 23:05
Speaker 3: and everything that the Colts did last week. So Drake
• 23:08
Speaker 3: made three hundred passing yards and three touchdowns. And when
• 23:12
Speaker 3: I submitted my bold prediction this week for for NFL
• 23:15
Speaker 3: dot Com, I called my shots on who the three
• 23:17
Speaker 3: touchdowns are gonna be Keishawan Bouti, Okay Hunter, Henry Traveon Henderson.
• 23:25
Speaker 2: I was waiting for a Pop Doug. I was waiting
• 23:26
Speaker 2: for a pop Douglass in there. But all right, I'll
• 23:28
Speaker 2: take that. I'm down with that for sure. My my
• 23:32
Speaker 2: hot take right now. I'm gonna I'm actually up the
• 23:35
Speaker 2: ante because what I originally said was that both Cardinals
• 23:37
Speaker 2: running backs score a touchdown, right that James Connor Trey
• 23:42
Speaker 2: Vinson each have a touchdown. I'm gonna add some spice.
• 23:45
Speaker 2: I'm gonna drop another little uh, you know, a couple
• 23:47
Speaker 2: of halapagnos. Maybe a ghost, not a ghost. Pepper's not
• 23:49
Speaker 2: quite that hot. But Kyler Murray also has a rushing
• 23:52
Speaker 2: touchdown in this one. So you get a rushing or
• 23:55
Speaker 2: receiving touchdown from the running backs, you get a rushing
• 23:57
Speaker 2: touchdown from Kyler Murray as well. The Panthers last year
• 24:02
Speaker 2: statistically the worst run defense in the league. They give
• 24:06
Speaker 2: up like six hundred and fifty more yards and the
• 24:08
Speaker 2: next worst team. They also were tired for the second
• 24:11
Speaker 2: most rushing touchdowns allowed and in Week one, they didn't
• 24:13
Speaker 2: get any better. So I think you're gonna see a
• 24:17
Speaker 2: run heavy game script. You know, Kyler Murray can get
• 24:19
Speaker 2: out of the pocket and do damage with his legs
• 24:21
Speaker 2: as well, so I think we're gonna see a lot
• 24:23
  Speaker 2: of that coming.
• 24:24
  Speaker 1: Up this week.
• 24:24
Speaker 3: And you know the Cardinals game plan ways to not
• 24:26
  Speaker 3: get touchdowns.
• 24:28
Speaker 2: Yes exactly, So they're gonna right in line, they're gonna
• 24:31
Speaker 2: get right, they're gonna get inside the five, and then
• 24:34
Speaker 2: they're gonna run the football.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: So there you go.
• 24:35
Speaker 3: THO like Tray go down't fall down, fall out of
• 24:39
Speaker 3: the two so we can run it in.
• 24:40
  Speaker 1: That's what we're gonna do. That's a good spot for
• 24:42
Speaker 1: us to wrap it up. That is it. We are done.
• 24:45
Speaker 2: We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
• 24:48
Speaker 2: You know the drill. Tell two friends to tell two
• 24:49
Speaker 2: friends rate review and remember fries or salad sums up
• 24:53
Speaker 2: every adult decision you have to make, be safe to
• 24:55
  Speaker 2: carry yourselves.
• 24:56
Speaker 1: Enjoy week to everybody, and we'll talk to you again
• 24:58
  Speaker 1: on Monday.
• 25:00
  Speaker 4: Wow.
• 25:01
  Speaker 2: Warm
