- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty, and I'm saying.
- 0:12Speaker 2: This to the president. You know what, have some balls?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Call cash Pttel call him right now, get on the
- 0:17Speaker 2: phone and say, you go arrest Pritzker, and you argue
- 0:20Speaker 2: that he has violated some kind of federal law and
- 0:23Speaker 2: you go handcuff him right now, you gutless wonder you
- 0:28Speaker 2: say he should be arrested, and do it all right?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh and now handle on the news.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle, and good bourdy. Every
- 0:42Speaker 2: red ends footing Friday asks handle anything Friday, Bill Handler,
- 0:46Speaker 2: Here Friday, great fun. Last hour of our show is
- 0:51Speaker 2: my favorite hour. Oh, here we go it. Ann has
- 0:58Speaker 2: a sign up there says let me see happy birthday cono. Hey,
- 1:06Speaker 2: thanks Bill, you're welcome. How's that happy birthday too? We
- 1:11Speaker 2: all say happy birthday to you. By the way, the
- 1:13Speaker 2: happy Birthday song that is owned by a couple of sisters, and.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I think it's back in the public domain.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Oh is it? And they made a fortune because it
- 1:22Speaker 2: you know, at every television show, every movie, Uh it
- 1:26Speaker 2: was it was paid. So anyway, Oh, first of all, Amy,
- 1:30Speaker 2: I know you had a great time last night at
- 1:32Speaker 2: Dodger Stadium. So, and how about them Padres?
- 1:35Speaker 4: Huh stop are you trying to create.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yes, it doesn't even matter.
- 1:42Speaker 5: The answer is yes, tension between yes, Yes, I'm trying
- 1:46Speaker 5: to be nice.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So Amy, I actually caught the last part of the game. Uh,
- 1:50Speaker 2: and it's three zero. It might be a sweep. It
- 1:53Speaker 2: might it could be.
- 1:54Speaker 6: They have they could. If they win tonight, they're headed
- 1:57Speaker 6: to the World Series. If they lose tonight, then they
- 1:59Speaker 6: play tomorrow.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the chances are if three zero, I'm
- 2:02Speaker 2: sure it's overwhelming that the Dodgers are going to take it.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I have a question because you're a baseball fan, and
- 2:08Speaker 2: that is why is it that during the course of
- 2:13Speaker 2: the game, you have a picture on any given team
- 2:16Speaker 2: who has two great innings, right, six up, six down,
- 2:21Speaker 2: and they yank them, they yank them, they bring in
- 2:23Speaker 2: another picture. What is that about?
- 2:25Speaker 6: Well, because they don't they don't want them to get injured,
- 2:28Speaker 6: or they might be showing signs that they're fatiguing.
- 2:32Speaker 2: After two innings. You know, used to be now, I
- 2:35Speaker 2: used to.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Be pulled there, pulled in the first inning because what
- 2:41Speaker 6: it was what the.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Last two innings? Who was it one of one of
- 2:46Speaker 2: the pictures. I don't know their names. I used to
- 2:48Speaker 2: watch what I was a kid. I was a baseball fan.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I was, Yeah, I was a fan. I could tell
- 2:53Speaker 2: you everybody who was on the Dodgers game, on the
- 2:55Speaker 2: Dodger team. But that was way that was in the
- 2:58Speaker 2: fifties and sixties. But you know, the pictures used to pitch,
- 3:02Speaker 2: they go nine innings. They don't don't do that much anymore. No,
- 3:05Speaker 2: the only time it was one maybe save them for
- 3:07Speaker 2: the next game. Yeah, yeah, but it doesn't matter. It's
- 3:10Speaker 2: still you'd have rotating pictures, but they'd leave the picture
- 3:14Speaker 2: in the game, unless you know the picture like Self
- 3:18Speaker 2: Imploded where he gave up a bunch of runs but
- 3:21Speaker 2: gave a bunch of walks. But you go nine innings
- 3:23Speaker 2: a good game, you'd go.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Nine innings, super rare, super rah.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Well, it used to be, I mean it used to be.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I think the only way they'd let a picture continue
- 3:32Speaker 2: on if they're on the way to a no hitter
- 3:34Speaker 2: or on the way to a perfect game, they're gonna
- 3:36Speaker 2: let the picture stay there.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Well they did.
- 3:37Speaker 6: They had the who was It wasn't Snell? Who was
- 3:40Speaker 6: the picture? I can't remember, but he pitched a full game.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Oh yo Yo Mamoto.
- 3:45Speaker 6: He pitched a full game and that was the first
- 3:47Speaker 6: time that Dodger had pitched a full game in a
- 3:50Speaker 6: playoff series since two thousand and four. I mean, so
- 3:52Speaker 6: they just don't do it anymore.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I remember when when the Dodgers won with Sandy Kofax,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and it was like fifteen or sixteen strikeouys. That's how
- 4:00Speaker 2: far back I go. But those were the pictures that
- 4:05Speaker 2: you know, they they stayed and then you'd see afterwards
- 4:08Speaker 2: he'd be interviewed in the locker room and his shoulder
- 4:13Speaker 2: was wrapped in ice and it'd be in an ice
- 4:15Speaker 2: bath for two hours. Anyway, Amy, congratulations.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Thank you very excited.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you are very excited. And by the way, I
- 4:24Speaker 2: have a question, Amy, and this is reference to Will.
- 4:27Speaker 2: When did Will become a traffic specialist?
- 4:32Speaker 4: He's always been a traffic special.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Will did you do you have an undergrad degree in
- 4:36Speaker 2: traffic specialty? No, it's just before me.
- 4:40Speaker 7: She called Nick traffic specialist, which I think she adopted
- 4:43Speaker 7: from can let me ask you something?
- 4:45Speaker 4: She didn't adopt it. I created that.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, in terms of the complex, sophisticated job you do.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You look at a screen, correct, and you say, here's
- 4:54Speaker 2: what's going on. The freeways are either red or they
- 4:59Speaker 2: are green. Do I have that right? Let's trade some morning.
- 5:02Speaker 7: I'll sit there and you know, talk about my dog
- 5:05Speaker 7: wing on my leg, and you can come do.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Traffic I would love to do.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I've done that.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm trying to fill in for the Jesus Show Marginal
- 5:14Speaker 2: spiritual advice and they will not let me.
- 5:18Speaker 8: Really, there is no other job you or John Cobelt
- 5:22Speaker 8: could do. What you do is what you guys do,
- 5:24Speaker 8: and that's it. You couldn't fill in for any of us.
- 5:28Speaker 8: You couldn't fill in for any of us while we
- 5:30Speaker 8: were sleeping.
- 5:32Speaker 2: All right. So before Ann gets all pissed off at me, Cono,
- 5:36Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Late Neo Neo, Hello, Amy, congratulations, and Ann,
- 5:43Speaker 2: who's about to flip me the bird? Now? Before we
- 5:45Speaker 2: get there, one other piece of news. JB. Pritzker, who
- 5:49Speaker 2: is the governor of Illinois, was in Las Vegas and
- 5:53Speaker 2: he plays blackjack one one point four million dollars playing blackjack.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Really yeah, and boy, I'll tell you it's gonna change
- 6:04Speaker 2: his life completely because he's only worth four billion dollars
- 6:08Speaker 2: he's an heir to the Hyatt, the hotel chain. So
- 6:12Speaker 2: the guy is not suffering. But why, I mean, that's
- 6:14Speaker 2: who the hell wins one point four billion dollars. I
- 6:16Speaker 2: guess someone who or one point four million. I guess
- 6:18Speaker 2: someone who bets big, big numbers. Okay, that's it with
- 6:22Speaker 2: the News at least that part, and now we're gonna
- 6:26Speaker 2: go to the real News handle on the News on
- 6:30Speaker 2: a Friday with Amy Neil and me Lee story. John Bolton,
- 6:37Speaker 2: former National Security advisor, has been indicted on eighteen counts
- 6:41Speaker 2: and he could theoretically do one thousand years in prison,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and he is He is accusing Trump of weaponizing the
- 6:51Speaker 2: Department of Justice to fight weaponization, which is really interesting
- 6:56Speaker 2: because Trump he even said it. Trump said, I am
- 6:59Speaker 2: going after my enemies. He's got an enemy's list, he
- 7:02Speaker 2: published it, he said it, and he's going after them
- 7:05Speaker 2: with a passion. Now Tom Homan, who head of ICE,
- 7:11Speaker 2: it's being reported the FBI has a video of him
- 7:15Speaker 2: accepting fifty thousand dollars in cash. Don't know if it's
- 7:18Speaker 2: true or not, have no idea, but if it's true,
- 7:22Speaker 2: what ended up happening is the Department of Justice said
- 7:25Speaker 2: They've investigated it with the FBI, and there there's nothing
- 7:29Speaker 2: more to investigate. If you're a friend of Trump's, you're
- 7:32Speaker 2: in great shape. If you're not, you are screwed. The
- 7:37Speaker 2: only thing you have to give him credit for he's
- 7:38Speaker 2: totally honest about it. There's nothing under the table. Nixon
- 7:42Speaker 2: had his enemies list, but he never published it. Trump says,
- 7:46Speaker 2: these are my enemies, and these people I'm going after.
- 7:50Speaker 3: He has their names in gold on the wall of the.
- 7:53Speaker 2: On a coin, on a coin. No, but you're right,
- 7:57Speaker 2: is a big wall. Placard ner he crosses a That's
- 8:00Speaker 2: a good point, Okay, Moving.
- 8:02Speaker 4: On National Guard being held back in the Windy City.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Speaking of JB. Pritsker, a.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Federal appeals court in Chicago has left intact a district
- 8:18Speaker 6: judge's order that bars the president from deploying troops into Chicago,
- 8:24Speaker 6: pending the outcome of an appeal. Of course, this is
- 8:27Speaker 6: all tied up in the courts right now, but the
- 8:29Speaker 6: three judge appellate court unanimously agreed with a district court
- 8:34Speaker 6: judge who said that there was no evidence that the
- 8:37Speaker 6: president needed troops to help enforce immigration law or quell
- 8:40Speaker 6: any kind of organized rebellion. They said, political opposition is
- 8:44Speaker 6: not rebellion.
- 8:46Speaker 2: What is interesting about this is the term great deference
- 8:50Speaker 2: is used legally where the judiciary gives the president virtually
- 8:55Speaker 2: unlimited power to declare martial law, to declare rebellion. But
- 9:01Speaker 2: the court said, there is no rebellion. There are no
- 9:04Speaker 2: facts here. He is making up the fact that there
- 9:07Speaker 2: is a rebellion. Now there's opposition. There have been protests
- 9:11Speaker 2: that in fact have gotten fairly serious. Uh, and there
- 9:16Speaker 2: was there was some criminal activity. It's gone beyond just
- 9:19Speaker 2: piece of protests, but it's little, tiny places.
- 9:23Speaker 3: You know.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Open rebellion is a term where you have well, open rebellion.
- 9:30Speaker 2: There is no rebellion here. You don't have thousands, you
- 9:33Speaker 2: don't have hundreds of thousands trying to overthrow the government.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You know, protests out there that you have a few people,
- 9:40Speaker 2: you know, throwing rocks at the cops is not open rebellion.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And that's and that's exactly what the court said. Effectively,
- 9:49Speaker 2: the court said to the to Trump, you're making this
- 9:52Speaker 2: up and we are not going to allow this to happen.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Very unusual, and I'll tell you when it goes it
- 10:00Speaker 2: goes up willis Supreme Court here. It probably not uh,
- 10:03Speaker 2: and this is probably the end of it. They'll be
- 10:05Speaker 2: the merits of the case. And Trump's gonna lose. He's
- 10:08Speaker 2: gonna he has to argue that the city of Chicago
- 10:13Speaker 2: is an open rebellion against the against the United States.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Ain't happening.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Okay, all right, how about a couple of tomahawks and
- 10:23Speaker 3: some sugar.
- 10:24Speaker 8: Ukrainian President Voladimir Zolensky's gonna meet with US President Donald
- 10:30Speaker 8: Trump two day in Washington. And basically the point of
- 10:35Speaker 8: the conversation is Zelenski wants some tomahawks and these are
- 10:41Speaker 8: the real deal. You're talking two hundred two thousand, five
- 10:46Speaker 8: hundred colors.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, they are. And all Putin has to do
- 10:50Speaker 2: is a suage Trump's ego, and that's fine, you know,
- 10:56Speaker 2: that's what he does. You know, Trump has said on
- 10:58Speaker 2: several times, several times, there will be all kinds of
- 11:01Speaker 2: sanctions against Russia. He's back. He has backed down every
- 11:04Speaker 2: single time. And we'll see. They just another conversation, didn't Yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 2: we're a Putin called the president to congratulate him on
- 11:15Speaker 2: the piece accord. Well, Lisa, ceasefire, and hey, you're a
- 11:20Speaker 2: great guy. Hey, your good look and that hair is
- 11:22Speaker 2: really nice and it's working and it's working. I mean,
- 11:27Speaker 2: it's one thing about the president. He likes to be
- 11:29Speaker 2: told he's great. I mean, there's no question about it.
- 11:32Speaker 2: You can buy drugs on Trump RX and you can
- 11:36Speaker 2: invest five hundred thousand dollars and become a get a
- 11:41Speaker 2: green card on Trump programs in the names of them.
- 11:45Speaker 2: You know, what do you figure? And let's not forget
- 11:47Speaker 2: Trump on coins now a US Treasury love it. All
- 11:53Speaker 2: you have to do is just say you're a great guy.
- 11:57Speaker 2: In the meantime, it is going to change if President
- 12:00Speaker 2: Trump does allow Tomahawk missiles to do that. Yeah, that
- 12:04Speaker 2: could that. I don't know if it changes the war,
- 12:07Speaker 2: but man, it certainly changes the war because the damage
- 12:12Speaker 2: they can do they can launch, well you've seen those
- 12:14Speaker 2: on those Tomahawk missiles coming off of ships, American ships,
- 12:18Speaker 2: and they go up and then they sort of jiggle around,
- 12:21Speaker 2: and you know, they seem like to go in different
- 12:23Speaker 2: directions and then they you know, sort of get their
- 12:27Speaker 2: bearing en off they go.
- 12:28Speaker 4: They jiggle around.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Technically, jiggle around. That's a technical term. That's that is
- 12:33Speaker 2: a legal term that she was in the military. Yes,
- 12:36Speaker 2: they jiggle around.
- 12:40Speaker 4: A monster makes a plea.
- 12:43Speaker 6: You remember when little seven month old Emmanuel Harrow disappeared
- 12:48Speaker 6: from a parking lot at a Big five in u
- 12:52Speaker 6: Kaipa and his mom said, oh, he was kidnapped. Somebody
- 12:54Speaker 6: came up behind me and took the baby. Well, the
- 12:57Speaker 6: father of the baby has now pleaded guilty to second
- 13:01Speaker 6: degree murder in the.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Case without a plea deal, without a deal with the government,
- 13:09Speaker 2: which yeah, I mean, it's usually you get some kind
- 13:12Speaker 2: of a plea deal almost always, like ninety nine percent
- 13:14Speaker 2: of the time. You know, they'll cut loose with some
- 13:17Speaker 2: of the terms or some of the counts, or will
- 13:20Speaker 2: take the death penalty off the table if you plead
- 13:24Speaker 2: guilty for a life imprisonment without parole. This one, he
- 13:28Speaker 2: just pled straight guilty. Now his wife is screwed because
- 13:32Speaker 2: if he testifies that his wife was part of it,
- 13:35Speaker 2: it's over for her too. Her defense attorney can't argue,
- 13:40Speaker 2: you made a deal, didn't you with the government, And
- 13:43Speaker 2: that's always brought up and instantly it's some doubt with
- 13:46Speaker 2: the jury. Is he's saying something just to help the
- 13:50Speaker 2: prosecution this one. If he says she was part of it.
- 13:54Speaker 2: What is she going to say? No, of course, but
- 13:57Speaker 2: where's the credibility.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Well, he has a history of abuse.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, he said he's a bad guy. I mean,
- 14:04Speaker 2: that's that's a given. No one's going to argue that.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Well, but so is he just going to admit to it.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Maybe she covered up for it.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, he's already admitted to doing it.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So now it's a question of him testifying against her.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And I don't think he can take the fifth because
- 14:22Speaker 2: it may incriminate him. There's no longer anything to incriminate,
- 14:26Speaker 2: at least I think so. I mean, not a criminal lawyer.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I'm not much of a lawyer anyway.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Are they married? Yeah, Well I didn't know you.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Could testify against a spouse.
- 14:37Speaker 2: No, y's your No, you can, it's you. You can't
- 14:40Speaker 2: be forced to testify. You can always opt to testify.
- 14:48Speaker 2: You can just claim a privilege. Ain't talking. In this case,
- 14:53Speaker 2: he's already been convicted, and they can bring him up
- 14:55Speaker 2: and start questioning, and he could argue the privilege because
- 14:59Speaker 2: they're married and and there is nothing to argue at
- 15:01Speaker 2: this point. All right, moving on more, Yeah, let's do
- 15:05Speaker 2: one more. Absolutely, okay, USC.
- 15:08Speaker 8: Was given the the I don't know the possibility of
- 15:13Speaker 8: a Trump administration offer that was offered to eight other
- 15:17Speaker 8: schools about money and research, and the university at this
- 15:22Speaker 8: point has turned it down. The interim president jongsu Kim
- 15:27Speaker 8: said in a statement that he had sent a letter
- 15:29Speaker 8: to the US Department of Education turning down.
- 15:32Speaker 2: The draft, saying no thanks. I'm going to do more
- 15:33Speaker 2: about that at seven o'clock because this is a big,
- 15:37Speaker 2: big deal when it comes to education and the government
- 15:41Speaker 2: leaving education alone. We'll talk about that at seven o'clock.
- 15:44Speaker 4: The new ghost gun.
- 15:47Speaker 6: Gun safety advocates and law enforcement officials are warning that
- 15:51Speaker 6: a new generation of untraceable weapons could soon eclipse ghost
- 15:54Speaker 6: guns that have already flooded US streets. They're worried that
- 15:58Speaker 6: as the three D plinter printers become cheaper and more sophisticated,
- 16:03Speaker 6: and blueprints for guns are easily found online, the US
- 16:08Speaker 6: could be on the brink of another wave of unregulated,
- 16:10Speaker 6: homemade WEA weapons that can evade serial number tracking.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Neil, Neil can print almost anything three
- 16:20Speaker 2: D printing. As a matter of fact, Neil, what you do?
- 16:23Speaker 2: You made a three D printer artillery piece didn't you.
- 16:28Speaker 8: But look, I can show you right here as a
- 16:30Speaker 8: three D printed gun. It's non fireable. It's a replica
- 16:34Speaker 8: of a Star Wars gun.
- 16:35Speaker 2: But you can make it. It can be a fireable gun.
- 16:37Speaker 8: It's not a problem right nowadays this one couldn't.
- 16:40Speaker 3: But yeah, you could.
- 16:42Speaker 8: You could absolutely create with very simple tools gun.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yeah, amy idea. I mean you follow up on this
- 16:50Speaker 2: now because I don't know is are there any regulations
- 16:54Speaker 2: for three D printed guns limiting them? And if there are,
- 16:58Speaker 2: the have the advocates un advocates filed Second Amendment lawsuits already?
- 17:03Speaker 4: I do not know.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Okay, I don't think it's legal period, and so have
- 17:09Speaker 2: there been lawsuits arguing that if it's illegal, it's the
- 17:13Speaker 2: Second Amendment violation? I don't know the answer to that.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Well, there.
- 17:18Speaker 6: There are regulations for it, and federal rules require background
- 17:22Speaker 6: checks and serial numbers for kits, so you're not supposed
- 17:27Speaker 6: to do unlicensed three D printing.
- 17:30Speaker 2: People are like okay, My question is okay? That helps?
- 17:34Speaker 2: And then are there suits already claiming that those regulations
- 17:39Speaker 2: or a violation of Second Amendment? I don't know the answer,
- 17:41Speaker 2: all right. Moving on, Oh, interesting story about what happened
- 17:47Speaker 2: during the playoffs.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Yeah, this is right up.
- 17:52Speaker 8: Amy and Anne's ali because they like to fight about sports.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I do, well, yeah you do.
- 17:58Speaker 4: And likes to fight about sports.
- 18:00Speaker 8: You've you've threatened Anne's life.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, You've threatened to call Ice on Ann and have
- 18:07Speaker 2: her recorded.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: No, she does it in a weird, sneaky way.
- 18:12Speaker 5: She shows up with like Dodger donuts and goes here
- 18:15Speaker 5: you want one? Or oh my god, I'm having to
- 18:19Speaker 5: wear all my Dodger stuff because they just keep planning,
- 18:23Speaker 5: you know, she's that girl.
- 18:25Speaker 8: Interesting story though, that was here, So it began as
- 18:29Speaker 8: banter between fans.
- 18:32Speaker 3: You know, it's a contentious playoff.
- 18:34Speaker 8: And you have the Brewers, uh and the Dodgers, and
- 18:38Speaker 8: you had fans in the stand and one was a
- 18:41Speaker 8: Latino and the other was not. And one woman threatened
- 18:46Speaker 8: to call Ice on a Southern California man during a
- 18:51Speaker 8: I mean that's it's probably that's screaming.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I mean that's fans stuff. You say stuff, and she
- 18:58Speaker 2: loses her job, and she also steps down for from
- 19:03Speaker 2: make a wish uh foundation or make a Witch chapter.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I you know, I think at some point people just
- 19:09Speaker 2: yell and that's fan stuff. So but it gets it
- 19:12Speaker 2: gets ugly, Yeah it can, but then it gets ugly anyway,
- 19:15Speaker 2: the only play part where it doesn't get ugly. I
- 19:17Speaker 2: went to a Packers game at lambeau Field and they
- 19:22Speaker 2: made it really clear you will act respectfully. And then
- 19:26Speaker 2: I was sitting next to a guy or down a
- 19:28Speaker 2: few rows away where some guy is screaming at the
- 19:33Speaker 2: referee yelling, you don't know what you're effing doing. They
- 19:36Speaker 2: throw him out cost them, So just wanted to point
- 19:41Speaker 2: that out. But I you know, I'm I'm not that
- 19:44Speaker 2: offended because people say, you know, you should be killed
- 19:47Speaker 2: or you know, they just say weird things. So you know,
- 19:52Speaker 2: for me, no big deal.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Another project delayed in LA.
- 19:57Speaker 6: What USh chucker the much anticipated who says it's much anticipated?
- 20:03Speaker 6: The extension of LA's Metro underground subway has been delayed
- 20:08Speaker 6: to next year.
- 20:09Speaker 4: The first of.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Three Metro d line extensions into West LA was supposed
- 20:13Speaker 6: to open later this year, which would have expanded the
- 20:16Speaker 6: subway line by about four miles with three new stations
- 20:19Speaker 6: along Wilshire Boulevard, and the construction is mostly complete, about
- 20:23Speaker 6: ninety eight percent complete, but earlier this week Metro said.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Testing is taking longer than expected.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I have a question. I've never written the Metro. Have
- 20:34Speaker 2: any of you written the Metro? And I'm going to
- 20:36Speaker 2: guess no, because you're still alive me once.
- 20:40Speaker 8: I've readen it a couple times, but it's been a
- 20:43Speaker 8: long time, the Metro.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yeah, from my other job, I used to read the Metro.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And will do you ever report on Metro? In which
- 20:54Speaker 2: direction the Metro is going? And how take another street?
- 20:58Speaker 7: Well, if something's broken down, train is broken down, I
- 21:01Speaker 7: might mention it. But yeah, I've taken the Metro. It's convenient,
- 21:05Speaker 7: especially if you're going downtown in your drinking.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably true. And you ever taken the Metro? No?
- 21:09Speaker 2: I have not. Yeah, I know it's just weird. It's
- 21:13Speaker 2: not weird. I mean it does make sense because traffic
- 21:15Speaker 2: is so dense in various areas like downtown, because there's
- 21:19Speaker 2: no parking either. But still, yeah, it's a great place
- 21:22Speaker 2: to go. All right, What a weird story.
- 21:25Speaker 8: So you've got California authorities getting coming together trying to
- 21:29Speaker 8: track down the whereabouts of a nine year old girl,
- 21:33Speaker 8: and it seems that this girl was homeschooled by her mom.
- 21:38Speaker 8: This girl's name is Melody, Buzzard. And when you homeschool,
- 21:45Speaker 8: I guess you do need to check in with a
- 21:47Speaker 8: school or there is a process to make sure the kids.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Are You have to report and you have to Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 2: you have to follow the syllabus the state environments.
- 21:55Speaker 8: Well, they're saying that they've had a prolonged absence. No
- 21:58Speaker 8: one's seen this girl in about a year. And the
- 22:04Speaker 8: Sheriff's department went to the home and Melody and her mom,
- 22:08Speaker 8: Ashley Buzzard, weren't there. No clear explanation was provided where
- 22:13Speaker 8: Melody was. Then on Wednesday night, the deputies go back
- 22:18Speaker 8: to the home. Now Ashley Buzzard was there, but Melody
- 22:22Speaker 8: was not. No one else for no one knows where
- 22:26Speaker 8: she is. And so they're asking anybody to reach out
- 22:33Speaker 8: to the Barbara Sheriffs if they have any idea as
- 22:38Speaker 8: to where this girl is or if they've seen her
- 22:40Speaker 8: within the last year.
- 22:42Speaker 2: But I'm assuming the authorities are spending a good line,
- 22:47Speaker 2: a good long time talking to mom.
- 22:50Speaker 3: You'd imagine, yeah, you would think.
- 22:53Speaker 6: The La County Department of Public Health has confirmed another
- 22:58Speaker 6: case of MPOC, which is a more severe strain. It's
- 23:03Speaker 6: a local patient who has no known history of traveled
- 23:08Speaker 6: areas where the virus is usually found, which is why
- 23:10Speaker 6: it's so unusual. Two local cases believed to be the
- 23:14Speaker 6: only more severe version of the infection in the country,
- 23:20Speaker 6: involving people with no known history of travel.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Jim and I spoke about, you know, the political
- 23:27Speaker 2: correctness of the name IMPOS they had to use. Now
- 23:32Speaker 2: it's MPOs as opposed to having sex with monkey pox.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Well, you know what's weird about that?
- 23:39Speaker 8: Imagine this when you were a kid, Bill, did you
- 23:42Speaker 8: get seapawks?
- 23:44Speaker 2: I know I got chicken pox. That's very offensive. See,
- 23:48Speaker 2: you're rightly, you're right.
- 23:50Speaker 3: It just is weird.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah, do you remember do you remember when gon ahea
- 23:56Speaker 2: used to be not anymore?
- 24:00Speaker 3: I don't remember gonorrhea.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Anyway. It's one of the that's one of the big STDs.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It's one of the fun that was before a that
- 24:11Speaker 2: was never had an STD. Unlike you, it's don't knock
- 24:15Speaker 2: it until you've tried it. Okay, they now call it the.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Applaud Yeah, Smuckers is suing Trader Joe's, so they have
- 24:26Speaker 8: you know, Smuckers has the uh, the Encrustables or whatever
- 24:30Speaker 8: they are.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they're horrible.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I love them.
- 24:33Speaker 4: They're awesome.
- 24:36Speaker 8: I don't know what you're talking about. The grape ones
- 24:38Speaker 8: forget about it anyways.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Uh.
- 24:42Speaker 3: The JM.
- 24:43Speaker 8: Smucker Company issuing Trader Joe's because they have a new
- 24:45Speaker 8: freeze frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwich that's super similar
- 24:50Speaker 8: to Smuckers and Crustables in the design, the packaging, the
- 24:55Speaker 8: way the little crimp, you know, crimped edges and things
- 24:59Speaker 8: like that. So you know, he said, hey, if they said,
- 25:03Speaker 8: if you're going to sell something, we get it, you do.
- 25:06Speaker 2: That's a simple fix. That's a simple. Yeah. They just
- 25:09Speaker 2: changed the shape a bit and they'll be fine. Maybe
- 25:12Speaker 2: a corner of a crust some constables, yes, just call
- 25:17Speaker 2: it a little crustables. Yeah, I mean that's the easy
- 25:20Speaker 2: where they want oh yeah, and they're arguing that everything
- 25:24Speaker 2: should be returned and we want a pile of money
- 25:26Speaker 2: and yeah, yeah, that's ridiculous. As always.
- 25:32Speaker 6: Bank of America and the Bank of New York Mellon
- 25:35Speaker 6: are both being sued by Jeffrey Epstein accusers. Two class
- 25:40Speaker 6: action lawsuits have been filed in federal court on behalf
- 25:43Speaker 6: of a Jane Doe and another woman who have accused
- 25:47Speaker 6: Jeffrey Epstein of abuse.
- 25:49Speaker 4: They say that.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Epstein's trafficking operation wouldn't have existed without the banks that
- 25:56Speaker 6: provided special treatment to Epstein and his co conspiracy.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a question about this. I don't get it.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I really don't. Maybe they provide a special treatment because
- 26:06Speaker 2: he spent so much money with them and had such
- 26:10Speaker 2: huge accounts, and you get special treatments. Are they actually
- 26:13Speaker 2: arguing is the bank should have known that that money
- 26:16Speaker 2: was going to be used in furtherance of his sexual escapades.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I don't know the answer, but I'm trying to figure
- 26:24Speaker 2: out how. And the story says JP Morgan and Deutsche
- 26:28Speaker 2: Bank have already admitted wrongdoing, which okay, and JP Morgan
- 26:34Speaker 2: agreed to pay two hundred ninety million dollars. Deutsche Bank
- 26:37Speaker 2: agreed to pay seventy five million. I don't understand this story.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I don't well how they are connected other than they
- 26:44Speaker 2: held accounts. And the argument maybe is they knew where
- 26:49Speaker 2: the money was going and knew he was a child
- 26:51Speaker 2: molester and therefore furthered his furthered his actions. I don't
- 27:00Speaker 2: get it. And let's finish up Neil.
- 27:02Speaker 8: Founding guitars for Kiss Dead at seventy four and it
- 27:09Speaker 8: sounds like he had had a fall and then some
- 27:11Speaker 8: health issues. He had canceled the twenty twenty five tour
- 27:16Speaker 8: dates and at.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Seventy four, he has passed in New Jersey.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah. That's you know, when you start reaching that age
- 27:27Speaker 2: group and all of a sudden people start popping off. Yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 2: it's a little troublesome in terms of how you view life. Wow.
- 27:37Speaker 2: So the statement from his family went on to say
- 27:39Speaker 2: the magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions and
- 27:42Speaker 2: beyond comprehension. I don't know, I comprehend it. The guy died. Wow,
- 27:51Speaker 2: it's not like it doesn't happen. And epic proportions. Okay, sure,
- 27:59Speaker 2: why not?
- 28:00Speaker 3: You don't think when you pass that it's going to
- 28:02Speaker 3: be the end of an error.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I no, that's funny. That is very funny. Okay, we
- 28:10Speaker 2: are kind I wish I thought of that, all right,
