- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Israel goudieires, we have our news, the news, Tamar Derozano,
- 0:27Speaker 1: the heat. That's how he's going to pivot today on
- 0:29Speaker 1: a sad day for Israel. Goudieirez, who loves the Miami Heat.
- 0:34Speaker 1: They are not getting Lebron James because he has chosen
- 0:36Speaker 1: to go to Philadelphia. I think it's the right choice
- 0:40Speaker 1: for the right reasons. But is he put us where
- 0:42Speaker 1: you were?
- 0:43Speaker 3: What was going on?
- 0:44Speaker 1: We haven't spoken to you yet when you found out
- 0:47Speaker 1: the news from Shams that Lebron James was indeed going
- 0:50Speaker 1: to Philadelphia.
- 0:51Speaker 3: So I had gotten back from the gym. I was
- 0:53Speaker 3: at home and I see a text from Taylor while
- 0:59Speaker 3: I'm on the toilet and it said Lebron. It just
- 1:05Speaker 3: gave me the Shams tweet and it was just Taylor
- 1:08Speaker 3: saying wow as an accompaniment, and yeah, that's the appropriate
- 1:12Speaker 3: place on where I felt I should have been when
- 1:15Speaker 3: that happened, because it was surprising. It was surprising. But
- 1:20Speaker 3: if you want more of my thoughts on it, yes,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I believe we were and I was guilty of this
- 1:27Speaker 3: thinking of things in terms of what Lebron has shown
- 1:30Speaker 3: us in the past, right, what he has experienced in
- 1:34Speaker 3: the past, what he tends to sort of lean toward
- 1:37Speaker 3: when it comes to these types of decisions. And what
- 1:40Speaker 3: I'm realizing now is, you know, we can't get in
- 1:43Speaker 3: his head. He is a person who can make entirely
- 1:46Speaker 3: new choices and entirely new decisions. And when you think
- 1:48Speaker 3: about it from that perspective, when you think about it,
- 1:51Speaker 3: if I'm Lebron James and I'm saying, Okay, maybe i
- 1:53Speaker 3: was going to retire, I don't really believe that part
- 1:55Speaker 3: of it. I don't believe he was going to retire
- 1:57Speaker 3: at the end of the season, but if he was
- 1:59Speaker 3: going to make me think about retiring, and then he
- 2:01Speaker 3: said to himself, well, wait a second, look at this
- 2:04Speaker 3: Jalen Brown trade. Look at this team. That is I've
- 2:07Speaker 3: joined super teams before. This is pretty deep. This is
- 2:10Speaker 3: like one through five super team. And when you think
- 2:12Speaker 3: about it, just from this perspective, the Knicks just won
- 2:16Speaker 3: a championship ending how long was the drought? Tailor if
- 2:19Speaker 3: you can even remember fifty three, I mean, listen, you're
- 2:22Speaker 3: in his wheel Hub memory. And then what Rich Paul
- 2:26Speaker 3: said that if the Knicks didn't win, that the Knicks
- 2:30Speaker 3: would be the only team on the list and he
- 2:32Speaker 3: would go to New York and you know, presumably to
- 2:35Speaker 3: get that adoration right to seal the deal with the
- 2:38Speaker 3: Knicks and have them win a championship for the first
- 2:40Speaker 3: time in more than half a century.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I think this decision kind of proves that no, well
- 2:44Speaker 1: that's where I'm going with this is where Philadelphia is
- 2:47Speaker 1: probably maybe not the next team.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I haven't really done the math on who is more
- 2:51Speaker 3: deserving of a championship after so long, but this level
- 2:54Speaker 3: of drought and that level of basketball passion or sports
- 2:59Speaker 3: passional role in Philadelphia. If you're Lebron James and you
- 3:03Speaker 3: get to give potentially a fourth city an NBA championship
- 3:08Speaker 3: and it happens to be this one that has a
- 3:11Speaker 3: you know, that's what Steph Curry did for San Francisco,
- 3:13Speaker 3: for the Bay Area.
- 3:14Speaker 4: This is a great basketball city.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Philadelphia exactly the same way, like the same way it
- 3:19Speaker 3: was for the Bay Area and Steph and the Golden
- 3:21Speaker 3: State Warriors. If he's able to do that, I don't
- 3:24Speaker 3: think like you can't even ask for a better legacy
- 3:28Speaker 3: than that. He's the Oprah Winfrey of sports. You get
- 3:31Speaker 3: a championship, you get a championship, you get a championship.
- 3:34Speaker 3: And so if you compare that to the possibility of
- 3:38Speaker 3: doing it again in Miami, I was thinking that something
- 3:43Speaker 3: familiar was good for him, and I think at this
- 3:45Speaker 3: point in his career, with one or two years left,
- 3:48Speaker 3: familiarity might not be that interesting for him. It might
- 3:51Speaker 3: just be, Hey, I want one or two things that
- 3:53Speaker 3: are new to me, that are exciting to me. And
- 3:57Speaker 3: when you throw on top of that that he is
- 3:59Speaker 3: not responsible for what's going not gonna have to be
- 4:02Speaker 3: that responsible for what happens in Philadelphia. Philadelphia would have
- 4:06Speaker 3: been a championship contender without him, but now with him,
- 4:10Speaker 3: you're looking at him and like VJ. Edgecombe as luxuries
- 4:14Speaker 3: for a team that already has three players in it
- 4:17Speaker 3: Tyres Maxi, Jalen Brown, and Joel Embiid who have either
- 4:20Speaker 3: won an MVP or discussed in the MVP conversation at
- 4:24Speaker 3: some point over the last two seasons. And so you
- 4:27Speaker 3: put all that together, and of course Philadelphia makes sense, right.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I think where people were going with it myself included where, hey,
- 4:35Speaker 3: Joel Embiid, you're really gonna trust his health and that's
- 4:38Speaker 3: what's gonna be your last place. I don't but when
- 4:41Speaker 3: you look at the bigger picture, Okay, Joel Embiid might
- 4:44Speaker 3: not have to be healthy, and this team could still
- 4:47Speaker 3: just absolutely power through the regular season. And if you
- 4:50Speaker 3: have any sort of let's say a month with him,
- 4:53Speaker 3: two months with him, and then you go into the playoffs,
- 4:56Speaker 3: could be an absolute nightmare to match up with. And
- 4:59Speaker 3: so I I think the only familiarity that Lebron James
- 5:02Speaker 3: was going for was the Eastern Conference. Everything else, it's
- 5:05Speaker 3: okay if it's new, because Miami was new, and look,
- 5:07Speaker 3: I won two championships with him.
- 5:09Speaker 5: A lot of people today are doing biggest winners, biggest
- 5:12Speaker 5: losers of the Lebron James signing losers, Miami heat fans,
- 5:16Speaker 5: loser Steph Curry. I don't think there's a bigger winner
- 5:19Speaker 5: today than Stuve Gott thank you.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Because Steve Gotts sailed it.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Since the sixers have been mentioned, Yeah, Stu Gott said
- 5:27Speaker 5: he's going to the sixers. People try to move him
- 5:29Speaker 5: off with the YouTube link with this. With that, Stuve
- 5:33Speaker 5: Gott stayed ten toes down and said he's going to
- 5:36Speaker 5: the Sixers.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yes, I'm the biggest winner today and the biggest loser
- 5:39Speaker 1: is Brad Stevens.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Don't get me started at me.
- 5:42Speaker 1: That's a whole, but Brad Stevens is more popular today
- 5:45Speaker 1: in Philadelphia than he is in Boston.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I mean, how about that.
- 5:49Speaker 3: It's funny that you say that, because Ricardo, do you
- 5:50Speaker 3: have the clip of me saying the exact opposite when
- 5:54Speaker 3: it comes to the Philadelphia seventy sixtions. Because if stuc
- 5:56Speaker 3: Gott's is the biggest winner, yes, the guy that can
- 5:59Speaker 3: reach his fingertips, that's right here, it is probably the
- 6:01Speaker 3: biggest loser. Do you have that regard it?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Do you agree though, of the teams that Lebron reportedly
- 6:07Speaker 1: is considering the team that gives him the best chance.
- 6:10Speaker 1: If we're just doing it by winning NBA titles, what
- 6:14Speaker 1: team gives me the best chance? Is it unfair to
- 6:16Speaker 1: say it's Philadelphia?
- 6:18Speaker 3: To me, it is because what you're doing with Philadelphia
- 6:21Speaker 3: is one you're projecting a team to win two more
- 6:26Speaker 3: rounds than they've ever won with Joel Embiid.
- 6:28Speaker 5: There.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yes, you're projecting joelmb to survive one hundred games or
- 6:32Speaker 3: you know, through the playoffs, which we haven't seen him
- 6:34Speaker 3: do healthy except maybe twenty nineteen. And you're projecting a
- 6:39Speaker 3: team that has two huge new parts to it in
- 6:44Speaker 3: Jalen Brown and Lebron James, with a second year star
- 6:47Speaker 3: in vj Edgecombe, with another high usage guy in Maxi
- 6:51Speaker 3: along with Joel Embiid. And you're expecting Nick Nurse to
- 6:54Speaker 3: figure all that out in one year, and that rarely
- 6:57Speaker 3: happens when you have that mix of new play players
- 7:00Speaker 3: and sort of a new approach. And again, that is
- 7:03Speaker 3: all with the assumption you're getting a healthy Joel Embiid,
- 7:06Speaker 3: when in reality you'll probably be playing about forty percent
- 7:09Speaker 3: of your regular season games without him.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Right, Well, let's not forget they have Dean Wade as well.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Dean Wade might have pushed the Sixers over the finish lines.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Being serious, You guys thought it was a joke and
- 7:18Speaker 1: some basketball expert is he is? Huh?
- 7:20Speaker 3: How about that, Stu.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I want to get to the Brad Stevens point that
- 7:23Speaker 5: you made.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah, because the Sixers sounded like it made so much
- 7:26Speaker 3: sense while I was saying.
- 7:27Speaker 1: No, it didn't make sense, and you're great, but what
- 7:31Speaker 1: I would like board opera wins.
- 7:33Speaker 5: He always wins.
- 7:35Speaker 1: To me, it is can we have that same piece
- 7:37Speaker 1: of sound with me setting it up? And just here
- 7:40Speaker 1: he is he saying to me, it is that's where
- 7:42Speaker 1: it needs to cut off.
- 7:43Speaker 4: You were saying, Taylor, I'm sorry, Brad Stevens.
- 7:46Speaker 5: So when the Sixer season ends against the Knicks, when
- 7:48Speaker 5: they get swept in the playoffs, since then, the Sixers
- 7:51Speaker 5: have swapped Kelly Ubra and Paul George for Lebron James
- 7:55Speaker 5: and Jalen Brown, which doesn't even make sense if you
- 7:59Speaker 5: would have told somebody that at the time. Yes, where
- 8:02Speaker 5: Brad Stevens fault in all this. He basically traded the
- 8:05Speaker 5: seventy six Ers, Jalen Brown and Lebron James for Paul George,
- 8:09Speaker 5: all because he didn't want to part with Hugo Gonzalez.
- 8:15Speaker 3: We forgot about him.
- 8:16Speaker 5: We had expectations for Hugo Gonzalez.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yes before this, Yes, now that one.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Of the casualties in all this is Lebron James going
- 8:26Speaker 5: to the Philadelphia seventy six ers and making the sixers
- 8:29Speaker 5: probably co favorites with the Knicks to make it to
- 8:31Speaker 5: the NBA Finals. Hugo Gonzalez before he had to be
- 8:34Speaker 5: Bob Coosey. Now you got to be ten times the
- 8:36Speaker 5: player Bob Coosey is.
- 8:38Speaker 3: To make.
- 8:40Speaker 4: The other big winner is Bob Myers today.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I mean, I mean yeah, I mean, let's stay with
- 8:45Speaker 3: Boston here for a second. Please, that has to be like,
- 8:49Speaker 3: this has to be one of the biggest I would
- 8:51Speaker 3: say slip ups in front office history.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Right crazy? What what Brad Stevens did?
- 8:57Speaker 6: It?
- 8:57Speaker 3: Really is, how do you not convince that Boston is
- 9:01Speaker 3: the best spot for you when you have everything that's
- 9:04Speaker 3: in front of you, right, everything from the last several years,
- 9:06Speaker 3: you have the championship. All you have to do is
- 9:09Speaker 3: tell jan Is, Hey, as long as you're better than
- 9:11Speaker 3: Jalen Brown in your mind, we're going to win a championship.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And they mess.
- 9:15Speaker 4: That up, by the way, it might get them Lebron.
- 9:20Speaker 3: And then they trade them. They trade him within the division,
- 9:23Speaker 3: which at the time a lot of people said, oh,
- 9:26Speaker 3: that's old school thinking, what is a division? Anyway? Who cares?
- 9:30Speaker 3: How many times you see these people No, that stuff
- 9:33Speaker 3: matters because if you're just automatically letting a team leapfrog
- 9:37Speaker 3: you in the standings, it's a bad idea. Yes. And
- 9:40Speaker 3: then on top of all that, they get Lebron James
- 9:43Speaker 3: in this situation, and Boston just has to be absolutely
- 9:46Speaker 3: kicking itself because it's most likely a financial decision why
- 9:51Speaker 3: they traded Jalen Brown. So if it's going to be
- 9:53Speaker 3: a financial decision, at least make it a smart basketball decision,
- 9:57Speaker 3: which they absolutely did not.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Were you surprised that Lebron agree to a two year
- 10:01Speaker 1: deal but the player option for a third No?
- 10:03Speaker 3: No, Because this is my other point on this whole thing.
- 10:06Speaker 3: If anybody wants can can you bet on a team
- 10:09Speaker 3: to not win a championship? Because I'm going to put
- 10:11Speaker 3: money down in Philadelphia not to win a championship Philly
- 10:15Speaker 3: not to win a championship because of all the other
- 10:18Speaker 3: things that I said in terms of I would have
- 10:20Speaker 3: the Nicks ahead of the Heat, of all the other
- 10:22Speaker 3: things that I said in terms of how often it
- 10:25Speaker 3: really works out when you bring this level of talent
- 10:28Speaker 3: together on a one year situation, like not even the
- 10:31Speaker 3: Big three of the Miami Heat won that championship, and
- 10:33Speaker 3: so there are teams that are more together and frankly, look,
- 10:37Speaker 3: I'm not afraid defensively of a team with Joel Embiid
- 10:41Speaker 3: a little bit slower, with Lebron James forty one years old,
- 10:44Speaker 3: and with you know, a couple of young, smallish guys
- 10:47Speaker 3: on the perimeter that to me feels like it needs
- 10:50Speaker 3: a year to figure out, especially especially and I can
- 10:53Speaker 3: check this box too. If Joel Embiid misses a bunch
- 10:56Speaker 3: of regular season games, yeah is he? This?
- 10:59Speaker 5: This lineup still feels like a video game lineup of
- 11:01Speaker 5: we don't have to work on the chemistry, just get
- 11:03Speaker 5: the best five you could get turn off injuries where
- 11:08Speaker 5: I'm having a problem right now. You look at Dean
- 11:11Speaker 5: Oliver on Twitter. He put everybody's usage rate from last year.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Lebron was at twenty seven percent, Tyres Maxie was at
- 11:17Speaker 5: twenty nine percent, Edgecum nineteen percent, Jaylen Brown thirty five percent,
- 11:22Speaker 5: Joel Embiid at thirty two percent. At equals one hundred
- 11:25Speaker 5: and forty. So the percents have to be cut down
- 11:29Speaker 5: a lot. I have a conspiracy what I think is
- 11:32Speaker 5: happening here.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I love this.
- 11:35Speaker 5: In this era of athletes being online. Yeah, you can
- 11:37Speaker 5: make the argument that no athlete has been more online
- 11:40Speaker 5: than Joel Embiid. He hasn't tweeted anything, he hasn't posted anything.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Jalen Brown has since tweeted throw the ball up. There's
- 11:48Speaker 5: a video of Tyrese Maxey that Tyrese Maxey posted of
- 11:51Speaker 5: him going crazy. We're getting radio silence so far from
- 11:54Speaker 5: Joel Embiid, and now I'm starting to wonder maybe Joel
- 11:58Speaker 5: Embid's not in these plans.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I mean, to be honest, I was, you know, scouring
- 12:03Speaker 3: the internet and I saw a bunch of old joelmb tweets,
- 12:06Speaker 3: and so I wasn't sure, you know, if there was
- 12:09Speaker 3: something new or if they were just sort of if
- 12:11Speaker 3: he was just retweeting his old stuff just to be funny.
- 12:14Speaker 3: But to hear this, yeah, I mean that was an
- 12:16Speaker 3: actual conversation that I remember other people having before this.
- 12:20Speaker 3: It's hey, would the Sixers move on from Joel Embiid?
- 12:23Speaker 3: Is that what Lebron James is waiting for? That to
- 12:26Speaker 3: me sounds insane. It sounds crazier than him wanting or
- 12:30Speaker 3: waiting for Kyrie Irving or Anthony Davis to say, hey,
- 12:33Speaker 3: let me move off from this MVP talent when what
- 12:36Speaker 3: you're doing with Joel Embid in this scenario is not
- 12:39Speaker 3: requiring that much of him. It's like, hey, buddy, get healthy,
- 12:43Speaker 3: be as you know, as prepared as you are for
- 12:46Speaker 3: fifty percent of the season will be good. We will
- 12:48Speaker 3: figure the difficult part out and then you can come
- 12:51Speaker 3: join us and we'll figure that out. That seems a
- 12:53Speaker 3: lot more reasonable than hey, go get a fair trade
- 12:57Speaker 3: for Joel Embiid right now.
- 12:58Speaker 1: If Brad Stevens will to further embarrass himself, he should
- 13:01Speaker 1: call Bob Myers and see what he has to give
- 13:04Speaker 1: up to get Joel Embiid.
- 13:05Speaker 5: They got Mitchell Robinson.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Oh that's right, they have Mitchell Robinson. They don't need them.
- 13:09Speaker 3: If I were to tell you right now, hey, the
- 13:12Speaker 3: Sixers are going to trade Joel Embiid for Anthony Davis,
- 13:16Speaker 3: you would think they're crazy. I think they're absolutely insane,
- 13:19Speaker 3: because even Anthony Davis is more injury prone than Joel Embiid.
- 13:23Speaker 3: So I just don't see that. I feel like Joel
- 13:25Speaker 3: Embiid is probably out somewhere working out and preparing for
- 13:29Speaker 3: playing alongside a very demanding teammate in Lebron Jays.
- 13:33Speaker 5: At what point do you get worried that Joe Embiid
- 13:35Speaker 5: still hasn't commented though tomorrow.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I can tell you what Joel Embiid is not doing.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And I respect your opinion a lot. You know that,
- 13:41Speaker 1: but he's not working out.
- 13:43Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. That's exactly what I'm saying.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 13:50Speaker 2: Live weekday said three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 13:54Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Taylor set up the game.
- 13:58Speaker 4: What do we have here?
- 14:00Speaker 5: So this is a game?
- 14:02Speaker 7: Jes call it up.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Yeah, pitch or paint?
- 14:05Speaker 4: Picture paint.
- 14:07Speaker 5: I'll give you a name and you have to say
- 14:09Speaker 5: whether they played in the Summer League or they played
- 14:13Speaker 5: in the World Cup.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Ah, that's.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Your picture in the paint. I thought it was pitched
- 14:22Speaker 3: like you're a pitcher, so you're playing baseball. That's what
- 14:24Speaker 3: I thought be a good game.
- 14:27Speaker 7: Outside corner painter, Is that a guy?
- 14:31Speaker 4: I think so?
- 14:32Speaker 3: Yes?
- 14:33Speaker 5: So I have you each will get this painter. You
- 14:36Speaker 5: guys will each get ten names each. The order will
- 14:39Speaker 5: go Mikey, Izzy and Stu Gotts. All right, Mikey A
- 14:45Speaker 5: the first name up, Nick Martinelli?
- 14:49Speaker 3: Oh, I know that one.
- 14:51Speaker 8: Oh that's uh, that's got to be a paint.
- 14:57Speaker 5: That is right. Yeah, I knew not to give Stu Gott.
- 15:00Speaker 5: It's the Northwestern guy.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he's friends with my daughter. I think he led
- 15:04Speaker 1: the big tenant scoring. I think they Nicks drafted him
- 15:06Speaker 1: and then traded him afterwards.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Right, there's no way they drafted him.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I think they next drafted him. Look it up, Nick Martinelli.
- 15:13Speaker 1: That would have been a good name for New York.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Nick, Huh?
- 15:16Speaker 5: Is he next name up?
- 15:17Speaker 3: A couple of Nicks? All right?
- 15:20Speaker 5: Victor locking hmm?
- 15:23Speaker 3: Can I ask any questions? Can you spell the last.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Name for me? I could? I could use it in
- 15:27Speaker 5: a sentence.
- 15:28Speaker 3: If you want.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Please locked In.
- 15:30Speaker 5: I saw Victor locked In crossing the street.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Okay, so if he was crossing a street, then he
- 15:38Speaker 3: I'm going to go pitch.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I would have absolutely went pitched. There a great soccer name. Yes,
- 15:49Speaker 1: Stu Gott's your name? Aiden O'Neill pitch pain.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Oh, I know that one, Aiden O'Neill. Paint. It's a
- 16:04Speaker 4: tough one. I'm gonna say, pitch for Aidan O'Neill.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Yes for Australia. Wow was that a fake? I knew
- 16:12Speaker 5: it from Mikey No.
- 16:13Speaker 7: I remember the Australia game.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I think he plays for MLS.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Wait, but you remember the Australia game and you remember
- 16:19Speaker 1: a player from the Australian team.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Sure, I don't believe I'm calling BS. Sounds like it'd
- 16:26Speaker 3: be like the Scottish team or something.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Mike yea your name? Noah?
- 16:33Speaker 7: Oh wow, I'm going I'm going back to the paint A.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Mike is getting hot right now.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I hadn't watched much Summer League. I should have watched
- 16:48Speaker 3: so much more.
- 16:48Speaker 5: A stupid World Cup.
- 16:50Speaker 7: You know what catch up to us?
- 16:51Speaker 3: Is he?
- 16:54Speaker 5: Next name up? Is he? Harry Wessel's Harry?

- 17:04Speaker 3: his pitch.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Oh wow, he's over to Yes, just like softball, you're
- 17:11Speaker 1: giving me the harder one.
- 17:12Speaker 3: A walk doesn't count, doesn't it?
- 17:14Speaker 7: Bad stude?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Mikey A wait wait?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Wait?
- 17:18Speaker 4: Who is that?

- 17:21Speaker 5: Good call? Good call? He's summer leak.
- 17:24Speaker 3: What do you mean? Good call was a fact? I

- 18:02Speaker 7: You want me to stay paint here, but I'm gonna
- 18:04Speaker 7: go pitch.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yes, I needed that. That's a heater. That's even more local. Really, yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 3: blood he was on the team last year. I'm witch

- 18:25Speaker 3: Nico pause, pause pause, pitch.
- 18:35Speaker 5: He is one for three Argentina.
- 18:37Speaker 3: His first hit the Nico is what made me think pitched.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Axel whitzele, Axel whitsle, odd name.
- 18:55Speaker 4: I'm gonna say pitches.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I think I know what Taylor was doing there. He
- 19:00Speaker 3: was trying to make you think of Yaxa Landenberg. I
- 19:03Speaker 3: think it's definitely paid. He almost did Mikey A. Gabe Madson, Wow,
- 19:13Speaker 3: Gabe Madsen.
- 19:16Speaker 7: I'm gonna go back to the paint.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Damn it's is anybody else. I maybe this World Cup
- 19:21Speaker 3: has affected me too much or the world in general.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Whenever they hear mikey A, think of Turkey A, because
- 19:27Speaker 3: that's all I think when I hear mikey A.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Now he was Mikey and I renamed him Mikey.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah, now it's Turkey A. Yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Is he next name up?
- 19:35Speaker 3: All right?
- 19:36Speaker 5: Mama do sar man, Mama do so?
- 19:40Speaker 3: Mama do can be an either hang sport yep ye yep.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Sounds like a trend here with every game.
- 19:46Speaker 3: But absolutely, but there's an Alex Saar in the NBA. Yes,
- 19:51Speaker 3: So I'm going to say, brother plays soccer on the pitch.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, get back logic for friends.
- 20:00Speaker 7: Stu needs this one to keep pace.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Two for three? Is he? How about that? First time?
- 20:04Speaker 3: For everything? I keep making the same softball joke.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Go ahead, maxim rao, vaccine reno, maxim rain.
- 20:15Speaker 3: No, vaccine ray No.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Sounds like a soccer player so much so I'm gonna
- 20:21Speaker 1: say paint.
- 20:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Is he a Nick?
- 20:26Speaker 5: No, it's from Stanford. I remember him at Stanford.
- 20:29Speaker 3: That was Nick Martin Elly.
- 20:31Speaker 5: I still don't think he was a nick if he.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Was drafted, look it up. Sacramento Kings Mikey traded afterwards.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Christophe Tilly, Christoph Tilly legend.
- 20:48Speaker 7: I'm going pitch.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Christoph Tilly?
- 20:51Speaker 4: Who is that Summer League legend?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Do I not know the NBA?
- 20:57Speaker 7: You can just hear somebody go ahead, Kelly with the
- 20:59Speaker 7: cross up?
- 21:00Speaker 5: Yeah, is the next name up? Hiroki Ito?
- 21:06Speaker 4: Wow, like Judge Edo man.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I feel like this is who wants to be a millionaire.
- 21:14Speaker 3: So I'm gonna talk my way through this. I couldn't
- 21:17Speaker 3: think of maybe the South Korea or Japan teams would
- 21:20Speaker 3: have an eto on it, right, probably Japan, but I
- 21:25Speaker 3: think that's where you want me to go with this,
- 21:26Speaker 3: So I'm going to go paint Yeah, wow, team Japan.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I was with you, dang it.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I overthought it.
- 21:34Speaker 1: This is for the lead, Yeah, for the lee, for
- 21:36Speaker 1: the wind right now there's more one more, kat you more?
- 21:41Speaker 5: The next name Upstu Gotts Yeah, Otega Oh way you

- 21:50Speaker 3: No, this one, I don't know.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say no way there, Taga away.
- 22:02Speaker 3: This is big. I'm gonna say pitch.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Oh no way from Kentucky.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah okay.
- 22:11Speaker 10: Oh.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Willie Carley Stein is coaching now.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Mikey y Nathan Saliba.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Oh wow, that has to be paint.
- 22:23Speaker 8: That sounds absolutely like a soccer player. So I'm gonna say, paint.
- 22:29Speaker 5: Canada for it? Wo?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Is he did?
- 22:34Speaker 7: I did? I fell into Izzy's trapped?
- 22:36Speaker 1: See Trump wants to sue Canada for all the smoke
- 22:38Speaker 1: coming to America that you got it smoke to deal with?
- 22:43Speaker 5: Is he young Young Lee?
- 22:46Speaker 3: Oh wow? Man? If that doesn't sound like a South
- 22:53Speaker 3: Korea soccer name, I don't know what does.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Or a baseball pitcher.
- 22:58Speaker 3: I'm going paint it up?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Should be pitch pitcher or paint Stu Gott's next name up?
- 23:11Speaker 3: Who's winning?
- 23:13Speaker 5: Everybody's at three?
- 23:14Speaker 7: Three?
- 23:15Speaker 3: Yep? Okay?
- 23:17Speaker 5: Mulos? Who's on?
- 23:22Speaker 1: Mulos sounds like a guy who can hit threes from
- 23:25Speaker 1: a long distance or swing a corner in or swing
- 23:29Speaker 1: a corner in.
- 23:30Speaker 7: You know Mulos can do a header.
- 23:32Speaker 4: I'm gonna say paint.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Wait he Ricardo incorrected that.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Negative one for confuse?
- 23:42Speaker 5: What thumbs up?
- 23:43Speaker 3: Man?
- 23:46Speaker 4: Is that possible?
- 23:50Speaker 3: Stu's correct?
- 23:51Speaker 5: All right, we're gonna do We're gonna do one more
- 23:53Speaker 5: round here.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Winning, so I am leading going into the final round.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Stu needs to hit it or both of us need to.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Miss it for the game, Okay, Mikey A Turkey, Kobe Mayo.
- 24:08Speaker 8: Kobe, you know what I'm gonna say.
- 24:13Speaker 7: I'm gonna go pitch.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Wow England, I'm forcing forcing a sudden.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Death here may no, huh. We gotta get him on.
- 24:22Speaker 1: There's gotta be a game there. Maybe may know something.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I don't know any of the names.
- 24:30Speaker 5: This is for you to tie Stu Gotts right now,
- 24:33Speaker 5: all right or yeah, staying in the conversation.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You guys, Well, Mikey got is right, so I have
- 24:38Speaker 1: to work regardless, right, Nicola Las, I feel.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Like there's too many.
- 24:49Speaker 7: Tall our brooking Knights.
- 24:53Speaker 3: I'm I'm gonna go pitch.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Yeah, making me work so the worst I can do?
- 25:02Speaker 5: Yeah, you do you have a a We'll go to
- 25:05Speaker 5: sudden death, sudden death round.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Oh. I almost want to get there Stu Gotts, just
- 25:09Speaker 3: to see how he's gonna decide this.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Yes, I'm also meant to say he's on Croatia.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Who who is? Thank you?
- 25:17Speaker 5: Not needed, but thanks Steve Gotts to win it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Luca, I can't tell you how many different ways
- 25:30Speaker 1: I want to get this wrong. But I have a
- 25:34Speaker 1: fifty to fifty shot of getting it right? Can I
- 25:36Speaker 1: hear the name again.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Lukavuskovich in a sentence I meant, wow, look over there,
- 25:42Speaker 5: it's Lu.
- 25:46Speaker 1: That helps I'm gonna say, uh, I'm gonna say pitch.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Clutch Stu.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Can we hear how you would have settled this if
- 25:58Speaker 1: it went to overtime?
- 25:59Speaker 3: Though?
- 25:59Speaker 4: Had I gotten one wrong?
- 26:00Speaker 5: I just have more names.
- 26:03Speaker 4: I'm glad I got it right.

- 26:24Speaker 4: Our thanks to Jeff Passion for joining us.
- 26:26Speaker 1: We will get to the top one hundred baseball players
- 26:29Speaker 1: of all time. According to a guy named Jake, the
- 26:31Speaker 1: one hundred greatest dot com is the name of his website.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Taylor has not stopped fighting with Ricardo.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Born out Ricardo about Tony gwyn and I cannot believe
- 26:42Speaker 1: Jeff Passing just kind of agree with you about Luis.
- 26:46Speaker 3: How do you say his last name?
- 26:47Speaker 7: Ariz Luis?
- 26:49Speaker 1: I mean Jesus Christ, but Luis, how do you say
- 26:53Speaker 1: it again? Yes, being a poor man's Tony Gwinn Passing agreed,
- 26:57Speaker 1: I was shocked.
- 26:57Speaker 5: My larger point is that if Louis Rise was on
- 27:01Speaker 5: the inaugural Marlins team.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it should be Araz. But anyway, go ahead.
- 27:05Speaker 5: If Luis A. Rise was on the inaugural Marlins team,
- 27:07Speaker 5: he would be mister Marlin instead of Jeff Cones.
- 27:11Speaker 1: There's debate as to whether Jeff conan and should be
- 27:14Speaker 1: mister Marlin and a cup of coffee.
- 27:18Speaker 3: There's no chance he would have been mister Marlin.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yes, yes, Mikey was very upset that pass in even
- 27:23Speaker 1: dare to agree with Taylor on his take. But Mikey
- 27:28Speaker 1: has been enamored with Tony Gwynn over the last twenty
- 27:31Speaker 1: four hours or so, and he has a top five
- 27:33Speaker 1: Tony Gwinn stats.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Of all time for us. I'm very excited about this.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Before we continue with our list from Jake, let's go
- 27:40Speaker 1: to Mikey A's top five Tony gwyn stats.
- 27:43Speaker 4: What do you got for us?
- 27:45Speaker 8: All right?
- 27:45Speaker 7: For the for time. I'm just gonna do number five
- 27:48Speaker 7: and leave out my olies.
- 27:50Speaker 8: Number five, Tony gwyn hit three hundred in nineteen straight years.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Your boy Luisa Riaz did it three times.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Wait ahead. So these are comparing stats, not just no.
- 28:03Speaker 8: I just wanted to make sure that mister poor man's
- 28:07Speaker 8: Tony Gwynn.
- 28:08Speaker 7: No.
- 28:08Speaker 1: But let's not slander or a rise. He didn't say it,
- 28:11Speaker 1: Taylor said it. It's a ludicrous. But Passing agrees. So
- 28:14Speaker 1: what are we gonna do?
- 28:14Speaker 7: I mean, well, they could both be wrong.
- 28:17Speaker 8: How many seasons for Gwinn nineteen straight every year but
- 28:22Speaker 8: his rookie year he hit over three hundred?
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead, in.
- 28:25Speaker 5: The years Luis Rise didn't back three hundred. What Mikey's
- 28:27Speaker 5: leaving out is he batted two ninety four and.
- 28:30Speaker 3: That's not three hundred though, that's not three hundred. Yep.
- 28:33Speaker 1: And Gwynn Quiquin Quinn Gwinn was a career three thirty
- 28:38Speaker 1: eight hitter, I believe.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I mean, that's ridiculous.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Think about that, five years over three point fifty. That
- 28:43Speaker 8: didn't even make them.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Nobody talks four. Well, that was Passing's point. It's why
- 28:47Speaker 1: you agree with Taylor. I can't believe it, as if
- 28:50Speaker 1: Tony Gwynn couldn't learn how to put some power into
- 28:52Speaker 1: his wig go ahead.
- 28:55Speaker 7: Number four.
- 28:56Speaker 8: Tony Gwynn recorded forty five games with four or more
- 28:59Speaker 8: hits and only one game in which he struck out
- 29:02Speaker 8: three times.
- 29:05Speaker 4: That's pretty good. Number three. Number three.
- 29:09Speaker 8: Including postseason play, Tony Gwynn faced eighteen pitchers that would
- 29:14Speaker 8: later go into the Hall of Fame in five hundred
- 29:17Speaker 8: and forty one appearances, roughly a season's worth of at bats,
- 29:20Speaker 8: he hit three thirty three.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Like I say, he could hit anybody against the best
- 29:25Speaker 3: of the best.
- 29:26Speaker 7: Yes to that point is this is just an addendum
- 29:29Speaker 7: to that.
- 29:30Speaker 8: Against Greg Maddox, Tom Glavin, John Smoltz and Pedro Martinez.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Tony Gwinn struck out three times.
- 29:38Speaker 8: That should be number one. That's that's still part of
- 29:41Speaker 8: number three. I haven't even gotten a number two yet,
- 29:43Speaker 8: all right, number two. Number two. Tony Gwinn could have
- 29:46Speaker 8: gone oh for one thousand, one hundred and eighty two
- 29:50Speaker 8: with one thousand, one hundred and eighty two strikeouts and
- 29:54Speaker 8: still maintained a career batting average over three hundred and
- 29:57Speaker 8: with those hypothetical strikeouts, his strikeout rate rate would remain
- 30:02Speaker 8: lower than Derek Jeter.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I'm not sure what you just said there, but sounds good.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I have a stat too, Yeah, Tony Gwyn eleven and
- 30:10Speaker 5: sixteen in the postseason. Yeah, that's a good stat.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, his record or just supporting Jeter, that's all he's
- 30:16Speaker 1: doing there.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I mean, that's it.
- 30:17Speaker 4: He was over.
- 30:18Speaker 8: He could have got ot for what Mikey one thousand,
- 30:21Speaker 8: one hundred and eighty two.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Wow, that's Izzy and softball.
- 30:29Speaker 3: The four times I made the joke.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Keeps doing it to him.
- 30:33Speaker 3: It's been over for months.
- 30:34Speaker 5: That one I didn't see coming at all.
- 30:36Speaker 3: That was, yeah, you got that a good stick dagger received.
- 30:43Speaker 1: He would think that is he doesn't see the softball
- 30:46Speaker 1: number two, number one, number one.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I'm sorry, my parasites, My mind's on number two.
- 30:53Speaker 4: The parasites a go ahead, nice number one.
- 30:58Speaker 8: In the entire nineteen nine, he struck out one hundred
- 31:01Speaker 8: and eighty eight times across across twelve hundred and seventy
- 31:05Speaker 8: three games. For reference show, Hey, Otani struck out one
- 31:08Speaker 8: hundred and eighty nine times in twenty twenty one when
- 31:11Speaker 8: he won the MVP.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Yeow, different game. Yes, I'll say I'll take show hey
- 31:15Speaker 3: any day.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Exist all these stats and then you look at Tony
- 31:19Speaker 5: Gwinn's postseason success. Oh think maybe maybe baseball analytics people
- 31:23Speaker 5: have a reason for their analytics.
- 31:25Speaker 3: All right, everybody calmed down. Everybody calmed down. We got
- 31:29Speaker 3: another list to get to. Yes, Mikey A. Turkey A,
- 31:32Speaker 3: can you please give us number eighty five from Jake's
- 31:36Speaker 3: list of the best baseball players of all time? Al Neuhauser,
- 31:41Speaker 3: what ahead of Tony Gwynn?
- 31:45Speaker 5: Even all town should be ahead of it.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I don't know who Al Newhuser is, but I think
- 31:50Speaker 3: it's the perfect way to end the segment because we
- 31:52Speaker 3: have no time for more.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Yeah, the one hundred greatest dot com his name is Jake.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Bring it up with him. We'll pick it up tomorrow
- 31:59Speaker 1: at number eight four.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Congrats out Neuhauser.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 32:06Speaker 2: Live weekday sit three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 32:10Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 32:15Speaker 3: For over forty years, Tirak has been helping customers find
- 32:17Speaker 3: the right tires for how, what and where they drive.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Shipped fast and free back by Free Road Hazard protection
- 32:22Speaker 3: with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tireraq dot
- 32:26Speaker 3: com the way tire bike should be. It's time now
- 32:28Speaker 3: for our tire Raq Player of the day, and this
- 32:30Speaker 3: one's courtesy of the World Cup on Fox.
- 32:32Speaker 10: Pooro chance to cross hoax it and Williams badly knocks
- 32:36Speaker 10: it down.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Stuve, I'm gonna give you a little little nugget that
- 32:46Speaker 3: might help us predict where Lebron James is going.
- 32:49Speaker 5: You ready, okay?
- 32:50Speaker 3: In twenty ten, who won the World Cup? I have
- 32:52Speaker 3: no idea Spain, Okay, where did Lebron choose to go
- 32:55Speaker 3: in twenty ten? Miami? Who just won the World Cup?
- 32:58Speaker 3: In twenty twenty six, Spain the free agent about to
- 33:01Speaker 3: decide where he's going to go in the NBA. It's
- 33:02Speaker 3: a segment I like to call loose connections.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Right now, people are all given a lot of flowers
- 33:09Speaker 5: to Torres for that goal. I think we need to
- 33:11Speaker 5: give more flowers to Nico Williams for the pass. That
- 33:14Speaker 5: pass was maybe the most underrated pass in sports history.
- 33:17Speaker 3: And I feel like his little ponytail gives him an
- 33:19Speaker 3: advantage because if he misses it with his head, he
- 33:21Speaker 3: can still whip it with that ponytail and get a good, good,
- 33:24Speaker 3: you know strike on it.
- 33:26Speaker 8: Was that pass better than Jalen Brunson's pass to Og
- 33:29Speaker 8: for the tipping.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Or Messi's pass in the semi final.
- 33:32Speaker 5: I mean, Bronson one was a good pass because a
- 33:35Speaker 5: lot of people have simple minds and don't think it
- 33:37Speaker 5: really was a pass.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The pass to Og that he shot it up in time,
- 33:44Speaker 1: so Og had time to tip it back in after
- 33:47Speaker 1: he missed.
- 33:47Speaker 3: It backflips to give Jalen fronts in credit.
- 33:51Speaker 4: So you have Lebron coming to Miami based on Spain.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I used to, well, based on that, based on strictly
- 33:57Speaker 3: you know, coincidence. But I used to like think that
- 34:00Speaker 3: he was definitely gonna come here because it made the
- 34:03Speaker 3: most basketball since And then I started saying, well, I
- 34:05Speaker 3: feel like it's a narrative based and he wants to
- 34:07Speaker 3: end it in Cleveland. And now every time somebody has
- 34:10Speaker 3: a good inkling on where he's gonna go, people that
- 34:13Speaker 3: I follow will show the Calshie projections on and I'm
- 34:16Speaker 3: just like, this is too much. It's too much. I
- 34:18Speaker 3: just need him to decide. I don't want to be
- 34:20Speaker 3: teased every single time somebody has you know a potential
- 34:23Speaker 3: landing spot for him.
- 34:24Speaker 1: It is a Mount Rushmore Monday, and we'll get to
- 34:27Speaker 1: it in just a second. We have an update coming up.
- 34:29Speaker 1: But what is the what is the topic here for
- 34:32Speaker 1: Mount Rushmore Monday? Who is the it's been a minute
- 34:34Speaker 1: since we've all been in studio. Who was the last winner?
- 34:38Speaker 1: And what is this week's topic?
- 34:39Speaker 5: I'm the defending champion for Mount Rushmore Monday. The I
- 34:44Speaker 5: went off the board here trying to get a topic
- 34:46Speaker 5: for what the Mount Rushmore Monday is gonna be. It's
- 34:48Speaker 5: gonna be movies that Will Ferrell was in. So it
- 34:52Speaker 5: doesn't have to be Will Ferrell's best roles. It just
- 34:55Speaker 5: has to be what movies Will Farrell's been in. Because
- 34:58Speaker 5: right now he's dominating. He's got his new show on Netflix.
- 35:01Speaker 5: He was Home Run Derby, he was at the World
- 35:03Speaker 5: Cup Final. But I think people are starting to look
- 35:05Speaker 5: at Will Ferrell a little differently because it feels like
- 35:09Speaker 5: feels like he kind of jumped the shark. And I
- 35:10Speaker 5: don't know if that's us changing him changing or what
- 35:14Speaker 5: happened there.
- 35:14Speaker 1: So when you say they're looking at him differently, like
- 35:16Speaker 1: he's not funny anymore.
- 35:17Speaker 5: Yeah, Like his jokes just really aren't hitting anymore, and
- 35:20Speaker 5: you're watching him on the SP's and it's like, yeah, man,
- 35:23Speaker 5: what happened? I used to think this guy was the
- 35:25Speaker 5: funniest person in the world. Like again, did I grow up?
- 35:27Speaker 5: Did my sensibilities change in terms of humor?
- 35:30Speaker 3: Did he just run out of jokes?
- 35:31Speaker 5: Or did he yes? Or did he age out of comedy?
- 35:33Speaker 5: Because Will Ferrell Saturday Night Live, you could put his
- 35:37Speaker 5: peak with anybody.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Yes, put it on the pohletailor at Stegatt seven ninety
- 35:41Speaker 1: on X. Did Will Ferrell run out of jokes? It's
- 35:48Speaker 1: a great question. Mount Rushmore Monday. The order I am
- 35:52Speaker 1: told is mikey A, myself is he and Taylor, and
- 35:57Speaker 1: we are doing Mount Rushmore of movies Will Farrell has
- 36:01Speaker 1: appeared in that started in just heard it? Okay, very
- 36:05Speaker 1: important because I'm struggling to find four movies that would
- 36:09Speaker 1: make up a Mount Rushmore for Will Farrell. I mean,
- 36:12Speaker 1: I really am he has jumped a short, he's run
- 36:17Speaker 1: out of jokes.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Mikey A, take it away.
- 36:19Speaker 4: You are up first here.
- 36:22Speaker 7: I hate this.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Do you find yourself needing a picking up as you're
- 36:30Speaker 2: dragging in your cubicle to start the week. Are you
- 36:35Speaker 2: ready to put the sports back in sports talk? Well,
- 36:39Speaker 2: then you're in luck because every Monday we climbed a mountain.
- 36:44Speaker 3: We talked the legends, and we argue about.
- 36:47Speaker 7: Things the truth. You just can't handle the truth.
- 36:51Speaker 2: That absolutely do not matter and are completely subjective.
- 36:55Speaker 7: This is mouth rushmore Monday Monday.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Now it is officially mikey A. My apologies. I needed
- 37:04Speaker 3: to get to the imaging. I love imaging. I knew
- 37:06Speaker 3: there was imaging for this.
- 37:07Speaker 7: I blew it.
- 37:08Speaker 3: That's on me.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I want to say, matt Rod Moore, Monday is like
- 37:11Speaker 1: riding a bike, but it's not Tahoe.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Yeah, he gets you parasites. You're parasites by the way,
- 37:21Speaker 3: mine are thriving. They're really living it up in there.
- 37:26Speaker 3: All right, Well, I hate this pick.
- 37:28Speaker 7: I hate having this pick. I did not want the
- 37:30Speaker 7: one pick.
- 37:31Speaker 8: And now we have Jason who's actually going to be
- 37:33Speaker 8: deciding our winner.
- 37:34Speaker 7: And he describes.
- 37:35Speaker 8: Himself as a quote film buff, which when I look
- 37:38Speaker 8: at Will Ferrell's catalog, I do not see many films.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Yes, yes, Dan is out today, he's playing golf, so ep.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Jason is our judge.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Monty cannot be the judge because she is clearly biased.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Okay, Yes, that being said, I'm just gonna go with.
- 37:57Speaker 7: The thing that I immediately think of when I think
- 38:00Speaker 7: of will Power. I'm gonna go with old School.
- 38:04Speaker 5: I had this as the one one, did you.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't think I've seen it start to finish.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I mean the next one's obvious. For me.
- 38:11Speaker 1: It's Anchorman, think much about It's the only other movie
- 38:14Speaker 1: I know.
- 38:18Speaker 3: I was thankful that you both took those two and
- 38:20Speaker 3: that those would be the two that you picked, because
- 38:22Speaker 3: while we are supposed to try to win this thing,
- 38:25Speaker 3: I'm really only picking Will Ferrell movies or performances that
- 38:28Speaker 3: I actually liked. And number one is the one that
- 38:30Speaker 3: I've seen the most by far is elf Yep.
- 38:35Speaker 5: It's a good movie.
- 38:36Speaker 3: It's fantastic.
- 38:38Speaker 7: I considered it.
- 38:39Speaker 5: You're limited in the window because it is a Christmas movie, Like,
- 38:42Speaker 5: I'm not gonna pop on elf In in June?
- 38:45Speaker 3: Why not? It makes you think about Christmas. Who doesn't
- 38:47Speaker 3: want to think about Christmas?
- 38:49Speaker 7: Well, some people, people who have a lot of gifts about.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Jewish people.
- 38:54Speaker 5: Wow, I love how this board has fallen to.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Me thinking about Howika though I gotta tell you have
- 39:00Speaker 1: two here, Taylor.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Yep, back to back pixel for the Snake Draft. I
- 39:04Speaker 5: have my number two and three on my board still,
- 39:08Speaker 5: I mean double check, yes, I do wedding crashers.
- 39:11Speaker 11: Yeah, I thought that would have been one, to be honest,
- 39:17Speaker 11: great line, great role from I think I know your
- 39:20Speaker 11: next pick is too and they were on the list,
- 39:24Speaker 11: so this might.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Be not who you're thinking, is he? Because this is
- 39:28Speaker 5: my favorite movie, my most rewatchable movie. I think Will
- 39:32Speaker 5: Ferrell's best role in movie. The other guys really, Yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 5: I love the other guys. I think I could have
- 39:38Speaker 5: got a bigger movie in terms of name value here,
- 39:42Speaker 5: but I would have kicked myself if I didn't get
- 39:45Speaker 5: the other guys.
- 39:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 3: I almost didn't even write down the other guys because
- 39:48Speaker 3: I'm so not a fan.
- 39:49Speaker 5: Of well you shot Derek Jeter.
- 39:54Speaker 3: But even though, man, I don't know which one of
- 39:56Speaker 3: these movies I liked better because I've got two that
- 39:58Speaker 3: are just yelling at me right now. Yeah, but I'm
- 40:01Speaker 3: gonna go ahead and take the one that is probably
- 40:04Speaker 3: more popular and quotable and say step Brothers. Okay, it's
- 40:10Speaker 3: a good pick. I think it was a toss up thought.
- 40:13Speaker 1: If Stue knows which other one I was talking about,
- 40:15Speaker 1: Talladagan Knights you got. I mean, that's one that is
- 40:20Speaker 1: one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. H And
- 40:23Speaker 1: so I'm feeling pretty good about my chances of you know,
- 40:25Speaker 1: when I have Anchorman and Talladega Knights.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but when you see how funny Talladega Knights is
- 40:31Speaker 5: and then you see Will Ferrell popping up for the
- 40:33Speaker 5: home run Derby, does a part of you go like, Man,
- 40:36Speaker 5: this is sad.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Yes, it's also worse. Nobody's gonna go visit the Will
- 40:40Speaker 3: Ferrell Mount Rushmore and be like, Wow, he's got such
- 40:44Speaker 3: a future ahead of him. No, they already know his
- 40:46Speaker 3: best work is already passed. All right, Mikey, you're up here.
- 40:52Speaker 7: This is why I didn't want one one.
- 40:53Speaker 8: This is this is the exact spot I didn't want
- 40:56Speaker 8: to be in, all of.
- 40:57Speaker 7: The all of the things I was hoping to fall
- 40:59Speaker 7: to me to not come back.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I feel like there's two remaining though that stand out
- 41:03Speaker 1: a bit I did.
- 41:04Speaker 7: I bet you do, but I disagree.
- 41:07Speaker 8: So the first one I'm gonna take, We're gonna go
- 41:10Speaker 8: in the way back machine and we're gonna he had
- 41:13Speaker 8: a bit roll in it.
- 41:14Speaker 7: We're gonna take Austin Powers.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Wait, which the international man of mystery. You got to
- 41:19Speaker 3: be a specific because he made a couple. He was
- 41:22Speaker 3: a good pick.
- 41:23Speaker 5: I thought I was gonna be able to sneak that
- 41:24Speaker 5: bad people.
- 41:26Speaker 7: Yeah, we're going with the movies. So after that, I'm
- 41:30Speaker 7: gonna go with I'm gonna take Zulander.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Wow.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Wow, I don't think i've seen that one.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Funk starts Samuel.
- 41:42Speaker 10: That I'm quietly I'm quickly judging here. I'm quietly judging you.
- 41:48Speaker 10: I know your Will Ferrell hatred.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Sam If you had to pick right now, just based
- 41:53Speaker 1: on what we've selected, who would you select?
- 41:55Speaker 3: This is unfair.
- 41:56Speaker 7: You do not do that.
- 41:57Speaker 10: I'm asking the weeds here, but I haven't easy easy
- 42:01Speaker 10: Mount Rushmore for Will.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Ferrell answering my question.
- 42:05Speaker 10: Yes, now, Jason's the judge. I'm just here quietly judging.
- 42:08Speaker 10: I'm just asking it hypothetically if you were the judge,
- 42:11Speaker 10: I can't even remember who picked what. I'm just disappointing you,
- 42:14Speaker 10: guys for all.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Your normally normally Dan Bayer has a golden ticket, I
- 42:18Speaker 5: actually have the opposite of a golden ticket. A rotten egg. Really,
- 42:22Speaker 5: if you pick it, you should automatically get to squad.
- 42:24Speaker 3: At the opposite of a golden ticket.
- 42:26Speaker 6: I was gonna I was gonna tell you guys that
- 42:27Speaker 6: I have a golden ball and I also have a
- 42:30Speaker 6: Pooh Emoji. Both have been taken. The Golden Ball has
- 42:33Speaker 6: been taken and the Pooh Emoji movie has been taken.
- 42:36Speaker 7: What happens if the same person takes both.
- 42:38Speaker 12: Then I have a decision to make.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Nope, you go out here on the clock, all right?
- 42:43Speaker 1: My third movie here, I mean, it's the best movie
- 42:46Speaker 1: remaining I think on the list.
- 42:48Speaker 4: I'll go old School.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Old School was the first.
- 42:51Speaker 7: Also the one I took first.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Oh, you took that. It's off the board. That's unfortunate.
- 42:57Speaker 1: If in agreements, and like I was, Sam, I don't
- 43:01Speaker 1: know who selected what.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Stuart should try to draft Lebron James with the fifteen
- 43:07Speaker 5: of the twenty two thousand and three NBA.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Draft them there for me.
- 43:12Speaker 10: When I'm hearing is he being like I didn't even
- 43:14Speaker 10: finish some of these movies, I'm just like, this is outrage.
- 43:17Speaker 3: I demand an investigation. Could it finish what it's oted?
- 43:23Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 43:24Speaker 3: It's great it is.
- 43:25Speaker 4: It just came out out after nine eleven.
- 43:26Speaker 3: That's why people didn't watch it. No one wanted to play.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Well you stopput Sam Jay and Silent Bob strikes bats
- 43:33Speaker 1: on my list.
- 43:34Speaker 3: That's where I'm going that I have no you don't
- 43:38Speaker 3: know the same Jay and Silent Bob movies just heard.
- 43:40Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 43:41Speaker 7: I don't hate it.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I hate that pic. I'm semi torn here. I've got
- 43:48Speaker 3: of the remaining movies by far, my favorite Will Farrell movie.
- 43:53Speaker 3: But there's another one that's got a couple of lines
- 43:55Speaker 3: in it that I love. Right, Wait, your favorite Will
- 43:59Speaker 3: Farrell move still out there? The one that's remained, Like,
- 44:02Speaker 3: my favorite Will fare movie is out I already had it, okay,
- 44:04Speaker 3: but of the remainings, this one's my favorite, and I'm
- 44:07Speaker 3: gonna choose it anyway. All right, I'm going with Mega Mind. Wow, Yes,
- 44:11Speaker 3: Mega Mind.
- 44:12Speaker 7: I don't hate that.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Hilarious.
- 44:13Speaker 7: I don't hate that.
- 44:16Speaker 3: I don't know that you don't Mega Mind.
- 44:19Speaker 5: Oh my god, animated?
- 44:22Speaker 3: All right, hilarious.
- 44:25Speaker 7: Azy.
- 44:26Speaker 5: I am so glad you picked Mega Mind there, because
- 44:28Speaker 5: I thought you were gonna steal my pick here. Give
- 44:32Speaker 5: me the movie that has Mike Dick, give me the
- 44:34Speaker 5: movie that has give it to the Italians. It's kicking
- 44:37Speaker 5: and screaming, great movie. Once he starts coming addicted to
- 44:40Speaker 5: coffee and then for my snake pick when it's coming
- 44:44Speaker 5: back around. This is a get a cameo in this movie.
- 44:47Speaker 5: But again, I might not have the greatest movie palette.
- 44:51Speaker 5: But if you ask me what's my favorite movie of
- 44:53Speaker 5: all time, this movie is gonna be in the conversation.
- 44:56Speaker 5: It's Vince Vaughan, Owen Wilson, The Internship, the interne trying
- 45:01Speaker 5: to save Google.
- 45:03Speaker 7: Wow.
- 45:03Speaker 5: Google. It's about the people. It's about the people at Google,
- 45:06Speaker 5: not about the technology.
- 45:07Speaker 3: All right, So my other one that I was debating
- 45:09Speaker 3: between Mega Mindan is still there, and I'm gonna take it,
- 45:12Speaker 3: but I almost feel a little bit nervous about it.
- 45:13Speaker 3: So I'm gonna need Sam to confirm here for me.
- 45:15Speaker 3: All Right, Sam, all right, which of the Austin Powers
- 45:19Speaker 3: movies did Will Ferrell drop this line? The wound is
- 45:23Speaker 3: beginning to smell like omens. That's got of me. Austin Powers,
- 45:28Speaker 3: the spy who shagged me? Right? Uh, well, that's the
- 45:32Speaker 3: one where he was like he gets burnt.
- 45:35Speaker 10: I believe it doesn't he get ejected into the seat
- 45:37Speaker 10: from the seed into the fire, the furnace pit or
- 45:40Speaker 10: whatever boilers in the.
- 45:41Speaker 3: First one, but also the second one. Yes, So the
- 45:43Speaker 3: second one is when he fell off a cliff and
- 45:46Speaker 3: he was down there. That's the one where he's like
- 45:48Speaker 3: he had to say everything three times, right, three times?
- 45:51Speaker 3: But we are currently So I'm going with Austin Powers,
- 45:53Speaker 3: the Spy who shagged me because Mikey picked the wrong
- 45:56Speaker 3: Austin Powers film.
- 45:58Speaker 7: Better movie better? Will Ferrell spot? You have the better?
- 46:02Speaker 7: Will Farrell spot? I have the better movie?
- 46:04Speaker 3: So old school has been taken.
- 46:06Speaker 8: Huh yeah, Stu, what was your first pick?
- 46:11Speaker 3: Anchor? Man?
- 46:13Speaker 7: Doesn't it have a sequel? It does?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Boy?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Isn't there one movie in particular where he went out
- 46:19Speaker 3: with other another SNL guy and they were dancing a lot?
- 46:22Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey, hey, I was thinking about both of
- 46:26Speaker 1: those movies. Hey, no, I was. But I'm gonna go
- 46:30Speaker 1: with Barbie about that. There you go, Yeah the film
- 46:34Speaker 1: buff That's a good one.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Yeah, Barbie sneaky pick there.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Well, I've seen it three times. I mean.
- 46:43Speaker 8: All right, So last pick for me Blades of Glory,
- 46:47Speaker 8: Lego Mingo movies.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Yeah, hard let me prove, Dick.
- 46:52Speaker 7: I'm gonna I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Night at.
- 46:54Speaker 3: The Rock, Night at the Rock. Wow, no one taking Dick. Huh.
- 46:59Speaker 5: I think, Mikey, you mentioned Get Hard. I think if
- 47:01Speaker 5: you look at Will Ferrell's IMDb, hey, Get Hard was
- 47:06Speaker 5: the moment where Will Ferrell jumped the Shark. I think
- 47:08Speaker 5: that movie was the first movie that I watched him
- 47:10Speaker 5: where I'm like, Okay, he used to be throwing ninety nine.
- 47:14Speaker 5: He used to be the Miz throwing one oh five.
- 47:17Speaker 5: He's currently throwing like ninety four.
- 47:19Speaker 8: Here see, here's the problem. When he actually jumped the
- 47:22Speaker 8: shark was when he tried to save the office when
- 47:25Speaker 8: Steve Carell left, D'Angel came on and he tried to
- 47:28Speaker 8: beat D'Angelo Vickers and it just it wasn't funny. It
- 47:32Speaker 8: didn't work. So yeah, I think that's the moment Will
- 47:35Speaker 8: Ferrell jumped the Stark. But let's get to a EP
- 47:39Speaker 8: Jason and see what he asks.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Real quickly.
- 47:43Speaker 1: When you said the Miz, I know you weren't talking
- 47:45Speaker 1: about the Mizz. He shows up the Lake Tahoe the wrestler,
- 47:48Speaker 1: but I was imagining as Ryan Fox is going to
- 47:50Speaker 1: join us tomorrow, the Open Championship winner. I was imagining
- 47:53Speaker 1: him Taylor playing a round of golf at the speed
- 47:56Speaker 1: he likes to play at, but playing.
- 47:58Speaker 5: With the miz because I made date something has to give.
- 48:05Speaker 3: He is the slowest golfer I have ever seen. All right,
- 48:08Speaker 3: e p.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Jason Oh is the winner of today's Mount Rushmore Monday.
- 48:13Speaker 6: You have made me think. And like I said, I
- 48:15Speaker 6: had a golden ball, and there was taken. It was
- 48:18Speaker 6: taken in the first round. Stu picked Anchorman my golden ball,
- 48:22Speaker 6: and my pool emoji was taken in the first round
- 48:25Speaker 6: as well. Izzy chooses Elf.
- 48:28Speaker 7: Not a fan.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Happiness and joy and Christmas and everything else.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Probably a little too old. Do enjoy elf? My son
- 48:35Speaker 6: loves Elf. I think that says a lot. Okay, so
- 48:38Speaker 6: it basically what Stu has to finish in the top two.
- 48:41Speaker 6: But to quote Ricky Bobby, if you ain't in first
- 48:43Speaker 6: year and last, yes, so I'm gonna put Izzy as
- 48:47Speaker 6: my fourth pick. I'm gonna put mikey Uh coming in third.
- 48:50Speaker 6: Those were those were solid, but the Austin Powers was
- 48:53Speaker 6: a little too early for my taste. Stu finished his
- 48:56Speaker 6: second and again going back to back Taylor winning and
- 49:00Speaker 6: the other guys Farrow nails those parts and the kicking
- 49:04Speaker 6: and screaming internship are very underrated. Taylor with a very
- 49:08Speaker 6: very good selection. Taylor's my winner today.
- 49:10Speaker 3: So niche such a niche list. I mean, anybody who
- 49:14Speaker 3: watches Mega Mind and doesn't crack up, I mean, come on, step,
- 49:18Speaker 3: Metro City step, thank you.
- 49:21Speaker 5: My rotten egg. That didn't get picked was Holmes and Watson.
- 49:24Speaker 5: Holmes and Watson the only movie that I've ever gone
- 49:26Speaker 5: to where I walked out.
- 49:27Speaker 3: Frankly, that wasn't even on the IMDb list that I saw,
- 49:30Speaker 3: so I can't imagine it was any good ep.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Jason.
- 49:33Speaker 3: If I chose Dick, what I have won? Oh my goodness.
- 49:36Speaker 5: You know.
- 49:36Speaker 6: I give you credit actually for going Barbie. That was
- 49:38Speaker 6: like an OSCAR nominated movie that I've totally spaced on.
- 49:41Speaker 6: So credit for that. But the industry to question.
- 49:44Speaker 3: No.
- 49:44Speaker 12: Taylor wins US one hands down.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
- 49:50Speaker 2: live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 49:55Speaker 1: I'm wondering, Yeah, before we get to the calls here,
- 49:58Speaker 1: I am wondering. And Chris for the update, Taylor, how
- 50:01Speaker 1: do you feel about the Red Sox winning fourteen consecutive
- 50:04Speaker 1: games as a Yankee fan?
- 50:05Speaker 3: Just wondering, kind.
- 50:07Speaker 5: Of rolls right off my shoulder. If go good for
- 50:09Speaker 5: the Red Sox.
- 50:11Speaker 4: Mikey, how do you feel about it?
- 50:13Speaker 8: I love when the Red Sox are good. Wants their
- 50:16Speaker 8: rival to be down so that all those games are meaningless,
- 50:19Speaker 8: like let's have some fun.
- 50:21Speaker 5: And the better the Red Sox are, it forces the
- 50:23Speaker 5: Yankees to try to raise their level. It's it's kind
- 50:26Speaker 5: of like a Yin and yang, like a batman needs
- 50:28Speaker 5: his joker.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Right, I understand when the Heat were good. Did you
- 50:31Speaker 1: enjoy when the Knicks were also good?
- 50:33Speaker 3: Is he? I still believe that the league's more fun
- 50:36Speaker 3: when the Knicks are good, but no, I like when
- 50:38Speaker 3: the Knicks are terrible.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Let's go out to the calls here before we get
- 50:42Speaker 1: to the update eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Let's go to Chris, who's in Phoenix today? Chris, go ahead,
- 50:46Speaker 1: you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 50:49Speaker 7: To answer the question.
- 50:50Speaker 4: No, I don't think anyone should be checking.
- 50:52Speaker 7: Out MLS after they're watching the World Cup.
- 50:54Speaker 3: It's kind of like watching the advertisements for the G
- 50:57Speaker 3: League by the NBA.
- 50:58Speaker 8: After the finals.
- 50:59Speaker 1: It's just a lower level, so you're not inspired. The
- 51:04Speaker 1: World Cup did not inspire you at all. Huh because
- 51:06Speaker 1: the MLS they have it from here. But Tim Reim,
- 51:09Speaker 1: thank you for the call. Chris, Yes, put it on
- 51:12Speaker 1: the poll. But Tim Reim, let's go to Chris in
- 51:19Speaker 1: Sherman Oaks, Chris for a sports update.
- 51:23Speaker 12: I consider myself a very big soccer fan.
- 51:25Speaker 9: I don't no, no, I am, I am, I just
- 51:28Speaker 9: I don't think, even even in that context, MLS is
- 51:31Speaker 9: still beneath me at that point.
- 51:33Speaker 12: It is I'm not going to call a g league,
- 51:35Speaker 12: but it is definitely not oh.
- 51:36Speaker 4: My god, got checking out a Galaxy game.
- 51:38Speaker 3: It is.
- 51:39Speaker 9: It is some miserable, miserable football out there, especially especially
- 51:43Speaker 9: when we got Premier League around Like That's the other
- 51:45Speaker 9: thing is like I want to take a bit of
- 51:46Speaker 9: a breather. We've got like three weeks before like the
- 51:49Speaker 9: actual real big boys in the European clubs actually start,
- 51:52Speaker 9: so give me a break on we'll take it from here.
- 51:54Speaker 12: I do want to see an LAFC game every now
- 51:56Speaker 12: and then, but that's.
- 51:57Speaker 4: Your soccer snob, aren't you.
- 51:59Speaker 7: You are?
- 51:59Speaker 9: No, no, no, I got I mean I got crownded
- 52:01Speaker 9: here in Sherman Oaks is the biggest soccer snob and
- 52:03Speaker 9: biggest soccer fan, the same thing in one. But at
- 52:06Speaker 9: the same time, Uh, I want people to enjoy this game.
- 52:10Speaker 9: I want people to enjoy this game because I was
- 52:12Speaker 9: not allowed to enjoy it as a kid. I was
- 52:14Speaker 9: called very nasty things by pe teachers because I enjoyed
- 52:18Speaker 9: soccer and had my masculinity. I was my masculinity was
- 52:23Speaker 9: was basically is like you you're not You're not a
- 52:25Speaker 9: man for liking soccer, which is ridiculous.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Well it is ridiculous, but just so we're clear, you
- 52:31Speaker 1: want people to enjoy it, but you're saying they can
- 52:33Speaker 1: enjoy it if they're attending an MLS game.
- 52:36Speaker 9: You can enjoy it an MLS game, but you could
- 52:38Speaker 9: enjoy also like a slider from White Castle, I'd rather
- 52:43Speaker 9: have a gourmet burger. I'd rather have a smash burger,
- 52:46Speaker 9: Thank you very much. All Right, this almost feels like therapy.
- 52:54Speaker 9: It's it's it's American. I know we should like it,
- 52:57Speaker 9: but it's it's hard for us to admit that we
- 52:59Speaker 9: just do not have a good product in this sport
- 53:01Speaker 9: right now. Like I mean, maybe it gets better. Maybe
- 53:04Speaker 9: you intract more big names, but it's still a retirement league.
- 53:06Speaker 1: At the end of the inter Miami would like a word,
- 53:08Speaker 1: I meanty days away from the NFL.
- 53:10Speaker 9: I mean, how about that inter Miami basically being back
- 53:13Speaker 9: to the hill by MLS to get Lionel Messi. They
- 53:15Speaker 9: wouldn't be able to afford him otherwise.
- 53:17Speaker 4: So all right, thank you, Chris. We have a game
- 53:22Speaker 4: coming up.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I have no idea which game we've decided to play,
- 53:25Speaker 1: because we play so many games around here, and all
- 53:28Speaker 1: of them are really different variations of the same game.
- 53:31Speaker 1: So Taylor, what game are we playing today?
- 53:32Speaker 5: No, they're all very different.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 53:35Speaker 5: I bet this game today though, we're gonna play do
- 53:38Speaker 5: me a favor?
- 53:38Speaker 3: Oh wow?
- 53:39Speaker 1: All right, wow, I have to ask for it. Iowa
- 53:42Speaker 1: Sam on his game.
- 53:44Speaker 3: How about that?
- 53:48Speaker 7: All right?
- 53:48Speaker 3: Do me a favor?
- 53:49Speaker 7: Here?
- 53:49Speaker 4: Who's gonna go first?
- 53:50Speaker 7: Taylor?
- 53:51Speaker 3: You want to?
- 53:51Speaker 4: You want to go first? Set the table for us, Taylor.
- 53:53Speaker 5: I'll kick off the proceedings. Okay, new Kentucky head coach
- 53:58Speaker 5: will sign do me a favor. He came out during
- 54:01Speaker 5: SEC media days and said Kentucky will win big because
- 54:04Speaker 5: of me. Do me a favor and just win. I
- 54:07Speaker 5: don't have to hear You're gonna win big because of you.
- 54:09Speaker 5: If you could be Mark Stoops at Kentucky where you're
- 54:12Speaker 5: five hundred every year, your Kentucky football is just like
- 54:16Speaker 5: a placeholder until Kentucky basketball. Will Stein, let's talking, do
- 54:21Speaker 5: me a favor?
- 54:22Speaker 4: Is this Willy hally Stein?
- 54:25Speaker 3: Different? Interesting? A couple of Stein's.
- 54:28Speaker 5: This is uh Oregon's oc from last season?
- 54:33Speaker 3: Why are you laughing? He's just because I would this
- 54:36Speaker 3: be Willy Coley Stein. I mean Willie Stein.
- 54:38Speaker 5: You hear will Stein? And here Kentucky, you do think
- 54:41Speaker 5: Willy Colley Stein just got.
- 54:43Speaker 4: I mean, thank you Taylor, right, you hear will Stein.
- 54:45Speaker 3: That's what you think? Well, and in fairness to you.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Willy colly Stein was in the news recently because he
- 54:50Speaker 3: talked about something after Brandon Clark passed away in Memphis,
- 54:53Speaker 3: on how simple it could be for somebody else to
- 54:55Speaker 3: fall into drugs. So I guess, yeah, if you.
- 54:58Speaker 5: Got a notification from Sean and it said Willie Cauley
- 55:02Speaker 5: Stein is dropping the Lee Calley believable. He's just gonna
- 55:07Speaker 5: go by will Stein from right.
- 55:08Speaker 1: It's a better head coaching name yes, coach Stein, mikeye,
- 55:16Speaker 1: go ahead, do me a favor.
- 55:20Speaker 8: Enough with the uniforms and the new helmets and stuff,
- 55:23Speaker 8: the Jets are all excited.
- 55:25Speaker 7: We unveiled the new white out uniforms. You know what,
- 55:27Speaker 7: how about you unveil a win.
- 55:29Speaker 8: How about you do anything to get us excited besides
- 55:32Speaker 8: adding a different color to a uniform for a team
- 55:36Speaker 8: that we're no team that is below five hundred should
- 55:39Speaker 8: get a new uniform and have some big unveiling.
- 55:42Speaker 7: We don't care. We just want to see good football.
- 55:45Speaker 7: Enough with it, I mean.
- 55:46Speaker 4: Look good, feel good, play good, you know you.
- 55:49Speaker 7: Know what, play good, and then you can do all
- 55:51Speaker 7: the round.
- 55:52Speaker 5: I did like Mikey's suggestion there, though, you have to
- 55:56Speaker 5: win a certain amount of games a certain win percentage
- 55:59Speaker 5: before or you could kind of cross the threshold of unlocking.
- 56:03Speaker 5: It's like when you go into a video game and
- 56:04Speaker 5: everything starts unlocked or locked, and you have to unlock
- 56:07Speaker 5: it step by step. I think NFL teams should have
- 56:10Speaker 5: to win a certain amount of games before they could
- 56:12Speaker 5: start unlocking alternate helmets. It's like worry about the meat
- 56:16Speaker 5: and potatoes.
- 56:16Speaker 3: Right, it should be play the browns look the same.
- 56:19Speaker 4: It should be play good and you're gonna look good
- 56:22Speaker 4: and feel good.
- 56:23Speaker 5: Right, It's like a chicken or the egg.
- 56:25Speaker 4: Well, it doesn't matter what uniforms you're wearing.
- 56:28Speaker 1: If you're playing well, no one's getting it masks everything
- 56:31Speaker 1: it does.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Winning does that? Playing well does that? The Jets have
- 56:34Speaker 4: never done that.
- 56:35Speaker 8: Congratulations Jets, who have more helmet variations than you do wins.
- 56:39Speaker 5: And remember the Bucks creamsicle jerseys from when they first
- 56:43Speaker 5: debuted those. Weren't they one of the worst teams in
- 56:44Speaker 5: the league when they were wearing those?
- 56:46Speaker 3: Yeah, they looked good, they felt good.
- 56:47Speaker 4: They played poorly.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yep. I don't mind a bunch of different helmets as
- 56:51Speaker 3: long as you have one go to that you go
- 56:54Speaker 3: to more regularly than the rest of them. Because I'm
- 56:57Speaker 3: not buying helmets, I don't care. It's not a way
- 56:59Speaker 3: to make me spend money. If it's jerseys, that's a
- 57:02Speaker 3: whole different story. Way too many jerseys. But the helmets,
- 57:05Speaker 3: you can mix it up all you want.
- 57:07Speaker 4: What's the Dolphins go to helmet?
- 57:09Speaker 3: It should be that throwback that they should be. That's
- 57:12Speaker 3: just beautiful. Yeah.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I could think of plenty of teams who played well
- 57:16Speaker 1: and look bad. I can think of plenty of teams
- 57:20Speaker 1: who look good and played terribly like the Bucks.
- 57:22Speaker 3: You can't tell me that the Florida State Seminoles have
- 57:25Speaker 3: ever looked good that I hate that color combination. I
- 57:28Speaker 3: hate their uniforms, but they were really good for a while.
- 57:30Speaker 1: I love their uniforms, and yeah they look good, but
- 57:34Speaker 1: they're recently played poorly.
- 57:36Speaker 5: You know, I think the best example ever in sports
- 57:39Speaker 5: history of a team looking bad but playing good like that,
- 57:44Speaker 5: that difference the Pittsburgh Steelers throwback uniforms where it's like
- 57:49Speaker 5: the shripe uniforms. Ben Roethlisberger, great quarterback, those Steeler teams, orderline,
- 57:55Speaker 5: great Steeler teams, but that throwback uniform Oh god, awful, Furnam.
- 58:00Speaker 7: They look like nineteen thirties prisoners.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Yeah, they won two championship.
- 58:07Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 58:07Speaker 5: I don't know what I was doing there with the Steelers,
- 58:09Speaker 5: like historically a very great team, a great run franchise,
- 58:14Speaker 5: and it felt like I did kind of sideswipe them
- 58:15Speaker 5: on my way to try to make that point.
- 58:17Speaker 4: You absolutely did.
- 58:19Speaker 1: You're thirty nine days away from North Carolina's opening football
- 58:22Speaker 1: game against DCU.
- 58:23Speaker 3: How do you feel you.
- 58:24Speaker 5: Have Bill Belichick, do me a favorite, get out of
- 58:27Speaker 5: Chapel Hill, stay in Ireland.
- 58:29Speaker 3: You gotta hate that it's on the stage by itself
- 58:32Speaker 3: right to start at the college football season. Didn't they
- 58:34Speaker 3: do that last time as well?
- 58:35Speaker 5: Is you could have stopped that sentence that you gotta
- 58:38Speaker 5: hate because I hate everything that North Carolina and Bill
- 58:40Speaker 5: Belichick do right.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Now, okay, thank you, But if they win against DCU,
- 58:45Speaker 1: I mean.
- 58:46Speaker 5: Historically the the Ireland opening game has been like a
- 58:51Speaker 5: loser leaves town game, where whoever loses that game something
- 58:55Speaker 5: about that trip coming home, your season just unravels. Like
- 58:59Speaker 5: last year Kansas State came in with pretty big expectations
- 59:03Speaker 5: and like by the time Kansas State was losing that game,
- 59:06Speaker 5: Avery Johnson, their quarterback, his family was like fighting in
- 59:08Speaker 5: the parking lot.
- 59:09Speaker 3: But in this scenario there in Ireland, so both teams
- 59:12Speaker 3: leave town regardless of who wins or who loses.
- 59:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it's kind of like a double loser leaves town.
- 59:17Speaker 5: Like you're everybody's leaving town. But once you get back home,
- 59:22Speaker 5: leave your leave your current town. Like once North Carolina
- 59:24Speaker 5: gets back to Chapel Hill, Bill Belichick, then you're leaving town.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Did you say Avery Johnson yep, the former Spurs point
- 59:32Speaker 1: guard or.
- 59:33Speaker 5: No, he didn't come back to college to play football
- 59:35Speaker 5: his SI, Avery Johnson, and Willie Cauley Stein. Very four
- 59:41Speaker 5: different people on this equation. Will Stein, Willy Caley Stein,
- 59:45Speaker 5: Avery Johnson the Kansas State quarterback, Avery Johnson, the former
- 59:49Speaker 5: basketball coach.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Better name a Berie Johnson, not that better name for
- 59:53Speaker 1: a college basketball coach Willie Stein or Willie Cauley Stett.
- 59:59Speaker 3: But that on the pole, Taylor.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: But he's also coaching football.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: My bit football? Yes, that throws everything off.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Yeah, which make it even weirder. For why Willy Cally Stein.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Yes, but it's now making more sense as to why
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: is He was laughing so hard when I asked if
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: it was Willy Caley Stein.
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: Ye, would you rather have Willy Stein coaching your football
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: team or Willy Coley Stein coaching your basketball?
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: That's what we put on the pole. Good job, mike Ya.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I had no idea we were.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Talking about football until just now? Go ahead?
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: Is he?
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Oh Man, do me a favor, folks, Yes, just slow
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: down on the conspiracy theories just a little bit. Everything
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: is not a conspiracy, Stu. I don't know if you
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: heard this one. But there is an image or a
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: video of the Argentina players before the match the final
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: coming out looking a little sad, looking like that. There
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: might have been one or two people, maybe even crying
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: or had like red eyes. And it was you hear
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Leo Messi saying in Spanish, Hey, forget about that, don't worry,
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: let's just go play. You know what that's turning into, stude,
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: what a conspiracy theory that they were told in the
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: locker room. Hey, you guys aren't gonna win this one,
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Sorry about that. And yeah, and this has already decided,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Spain's gonna win it. And then you follow that up
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: with a clip I forget the name of the player,
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: but one of the players who basically didn't mark his
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: man on Spain's game winning goal or World Cup winning goal.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: And then you do a little bit of research and realize, yeah,
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: that dude had a twisted ankle and was not really
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: running very well. But everybody's convinced. They've changed the conspiracy
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: theory from fix it for Argentina to oh, Argentina was
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: told before the mats that they were before the game
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: that they weren't going to win. It's just a little
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: out of control with all the conspiracy theories.
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: Is he I am firmly I've always been firmly in
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: the camp of Neo Messi is the goat in soccer
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: when it comes to the Messi Ronaldo debate.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: He started to lose me though. In that World Cup
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: Final way. Kukarea covers his mouth for like zero point
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: two seconds and then Leo Messi runs back and tattles
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: to the referee saying, hey, he covered his mouth. He
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: covered his mouth, and Cooker is like, I just put
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: my hand on my mouth for a second. It looked
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: like it looked like Kuckhat could have been just wiping
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: something off his mouth. That's how quickly his hand was
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: to his mouth. I think Messi. I'm looking at Messi
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: a little differently when it comes.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: This is where people lose me with that argument. Is
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: did you see how quick it was just like a hey, hey, hey,
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: and he just didn't really follow up. It's not like
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: he actually spoke to the official about it. It was, hey,
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: you want to come talk to me like that, I'm
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: going to give a signal just to give it right back.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Stu Michael Jordan's not doing that.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: No, he never asked for it. He didn't actually ask
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: for Coucarella to get taken off, No, but he wanted
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: var to review it. He did. It's like snitching. He
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: also wouldn't have happened if they weren't down a man already.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, but imagine imagine the NBA Finals a Keem
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: versus Michael Jordan and Keim says something under his breath
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: to Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan turns around and says, hey,
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: ref did you hear what he's People would be looking
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: at Michael Jordan differently.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: You know who would do that? Lebron. Lebron would absolutely tattle, right,
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: which is why he's not Michael Jordan.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: I'm serious though. These conspiracy theories just lose me every time. Man,
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: Like so, the world has just decided that Argentina was
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: gonna win it until they didn't, and then they're just
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: gonna reverse course entirely because of one image. You have
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: no idea what could have happened in there could have
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: been a couple of teammates was probably what happened. A
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: couple of teammates just going at it and them just saying, hey,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: forget about that stuff. Let's just move on.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Might do me a favor. Was gonna be about Messy,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: but we spoke about him a lot. It was gonna
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: be twice soccer. Don't take two games off. But I
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: have a different one here for all you fake cops
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: out there, do me a favor. Stop being a snitch.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: You know who I'm talking about. It's guys driving around
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: in vans with their fake sirens, with stickers that say
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I report suspicious activity. Are you out of your bleeping minds?
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Reporting suspicious activities with your fake siren does not make
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: you a police officer. Stop scaring me, Stop tailgating me,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Stop making me think you're something that you are not.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: You are not a police officer. You're a glorified security person.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: I'm unfamiliar with these folks.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Look, they're all over South Florida.
- 1:04:23Speaker 12: Dude.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: The look you're getting right now is three people who
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: have never encountered anything that you're talking about.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Right, But you guys have never seen seen this? All right,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you guys need to come to Deerfield Beach. There are
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: multiple vans out there, Okay, They just drive around the neighborhood.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: They have fake sirens. Occasionally they'll turn them on. They
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: make themselves look like law enforcement, and they actually have
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: stickers that say I report suspicious behavior.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: They're telling you no suspicious behavior.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: You know what I do when I see those guys,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: I'm walking around Deerfield Beach, I give them the finger
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: and I light.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Up a jay. Do you live on a movie set?
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: How's that for suspicious behavior?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: And no one's ever reported me enough, So we.
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: Just got a text message from our producer, Jason from
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: Sherman Oaks. He said, is this a Florida thing? I
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: turned to Ricardo and I said, port of Ricardo, have
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: you ever heard what Steve Gotts is talking about? And
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: he goes, not even close.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Well, they're all over the place that I'm telling you
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: be careful.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: This feels like a test run in your neighborhood. Specifically,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: now that I've lived here in my entire life, and
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: I have never experienced that.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: They're like MESSI I mean, they will snitch you out.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: What they do is they were bridged to the cops. Huh,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: because the cops can't see everything, and so these people
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: volunteer to report suspicious behavior to the cops.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: I don't need it. So it's like a bunch of
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Karen's basically volunteering. By the way, what good is the sticker?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Why are you telling me that you report suspicious behavior?
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: Do me a favor?
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: Stop?
- 1:05:51Speaker 10: Is he?
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: What this sounds like is security in a very gated community.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: I think it's even got Sam thinking, what do you got, Sam?
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: This is like, yeah, like a neighborhood watch a neighborhood snoop.
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: I don't know if it's actually legal to like blair
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: sirens unless you're like an emergency responder.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: It's a while west down here, Sam, so no one cares.
- 1:06:14Speaker 10: I've I've seen like vehicles with like like lights spinning
- 1:06:17Speaker 10: around stuff.
- 1:06:18Speaker 12: But man, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: I was driving in front of a car that had
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: like yellow and white lights flashing behind me, and I said,
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I don't have to respect that. I have no idea
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: what that is. I was also then there was three
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: ambulances and a fire truck all just going about fifty
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: five miles per hour on the Expressway in the middle lane,
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: and I was like, I don't think I have to
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: address them either. I'm just gonna fly right past.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I love that tailor just made it a wacked hut
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: security van.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: I mean.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: It might as well be because nobody knows what you're
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: talking about.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I mean the volunteer cops that aren't cops. They have
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: nothing better to do than scared. I was pulled over
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: by one.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: Wait, you're really pulled over by that's that's all leak.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: And what did he or she say to you? He said,
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: show me your license? I said, show me your badge.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Citizens arrest, talk about a time to stand up for yourself.
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: Who are you?
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: He asked for my license?
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: I gave my middle finger. I'm pretty sure you, sir,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: are unconstitutional.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I mean, these are people who volunteer to kind of
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: look over, you know.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: They look over They look over the town, the city, the.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: Stream, and an expensive neighborhood. I live right next to
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: Leo Messi and we don't have those people.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: He should play soccer though, right, I.
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: Mean, nobody in America has what Stu Gotts is talking about.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Listen, you just don't know that there now, Colin.
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: If you've ever heard about what Stu Gots is talking.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: About eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, these volunteer
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: fake cops, Okay, there's that.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: Authority to pull you over?
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Well, no, you fall for it. I fell for it.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: I thought it was a real coy.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: I will say, in today's America, there seem to be
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: a lot of people who want to arrest other people,
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: just even if they're not cay. So, yeah, that would
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: it would make sense to find a few people willing
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: to volunteer to do that.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I realize it's odd to pull over when a guy
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: in a flatbed who turns on his fake sirens pulls.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: You over, but I did. I didn't know what else
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: to do.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: I was confused.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I think you have to report him to the cops
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: because I don't.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: Think turned on his disco light. You got pulled over.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: Man, They're everywhere, That's what I need to tell you.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: And I'm just telling you be careful, be careful of
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: what you say in the streets out there, because someone
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: is listening and they will report suspicious activity. Uh is
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: he has a word for him? Our our friends over
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: at Fandel I have no idea what happened there. The
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: music petered out, the segment was over. I was enjoying
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: myself and suddenly we had to pay the bills.
