Transcript
- 0:25Curry Badshah: Welcome to episode four of Something to Say.
- 0:28Curry Badshah: Today I have a fun topic that I wanna chat about with some awesome guests, and I'm excited to get into it.
- 0:36Curry Badshah: So today's topic is around astrology, Vedic astrology specifically, yes, there's a difference, and human design, and how these elements can actually help you understand yourself and help you cope with the things around you.
- 0:49Curry Badshah: Even if everyone in the world is telling you to do something or pursue something specific and it doesn't align with you, there is a deeper reason for what is meant for you.
- 0:58Curry Badshah: And that thing can also change.
- 1:01Curry Badshah: With astrology and human design, what is meant for you will be as it is supposed to be.
- 1:07Curry Badshah: Just because society says to get married by 25 doesn't mean it is what is correct for you based on your birth chart.
- 1:14Curry Badshah: Just because you're taught to give people a chance, give them a chance and, consider XYZ, doesn't mean you ignore your gut feelings if your human design is to trust your gut.
- 1:25Curry Badshah: Today I have with me Vedic astrologer Julie Taparia and human design expert Pooja Bhatnagar.
- 1:31Curry Badshah: They have also founded Painted, which is a unique personality test that identifies various elements of how you are naturally wired.
- 1:39Curry Badshah: I know I'm curious to know all of this, so I welcome Julie and Pooja to Something to Say because with this, not everyone will agree, but let's say it anyway, astrology and human design matter.
- 1:53Curry Badshah: Julie and Pooja, welcome to Something to Say.
- 1:57Curry Badshah: Tell the people, like who you are, what you do, and how you got into it.
- 2:02Pooja Bhatnagar: Thank you, Amrutha.
- 2:03Pooja Bhatnagar: I am Pooja, and I am a human design practitioner, a holistic wellness coach in 10 different modalities founder of a business called Revel Place, and co-founder of Painted with Julie.
- 2:18Pooja Bhatnagar: I would say at the heart of all of my work is one question, and that is: how do I help people return to themselves?
- 2:26Pooja Bhatnagar: After spending, I would say, a decade in Silicon Valley while navigating major health issues, life transitions, identity shifts I became so deeply curious about, like, why these paths felt forced while others felt more aligned.
- 2:44Pooja Bhatnagar: So human design gave me that language for something I'd felt my whole life.
- 2:47Pooja Bhatnagar: There isn't one correct way to be human.
- 2:50Pooja Bhatnagar: We're all designed so uniquely.
- 2:53Curry Badshah: I love it
- 2:54Pooja Bhatnagar: my work spans from helping individuals understand their design to building communities through Revel Place co-creating Painted with Julie.
- 3:03Pooja Bhatnagar: As Amrutha said, a framework that integrates human design, Ayurveda and astrology.
- 3:07Pooja Bhatnagar: It's basically like a personality test to help people understand themselves better and yeah.
- 3:13Pooja Bhatnagar: It's...
- 3:15Pooja Bhatnagar: Because I believe flourishing doesn't happen, like, when we become someone else.
- 3:19Pooja Bhatnagar: It happens when we become more ourselves, and we understand who we actually truly are and what our design is through human design.
- 3:27Curry Badshah: Yes.
- 3:28Pooja Bhatnagar: and
- 3:29Curry Badshah: love that.
- 3:30Curry Badshah: I'm like,"Put this on a t-shirt." You're saying so many things and I'm like,"Put it on a T-shirt.
- 3:34Curry Badshah: Put it on a hat." Tell the world
- 3:37Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 3:38Pooja Bhatnagar: I know I- I've said human design so many times just to also give an ex- like, just a little small little description of what human design is.
- 3:45Pooja Bhatnagar: Human design is a self-awareness system that helps us understand how we're uniquely designed to use our energy, how we make decisions, how we move through life.
- 3:56Pooja Bhatnagar: It also is a synthesis, to get a little nerdy, it's a synthesis of four ancient systems.
- 4:01Pooja Bhatnagar: It is astrology, Kabbalah, I Ching your Hindu chakra system backed up by genetics and quantum physics.
- 4:08Pooja Bhatnagar: Basically, it's like your user manual telling you how to live based off of your design so you face more success and less resistance
- 4:19Curry Badshah: I love that.
- 4:19Curry Badshah: And I haven't heard the Like, I haven't heard Kabbalah in so long.
- 4:22Curry Badshah: I feel like everyone, like every celebrity was in Kabbalah in like the 2000s.
- 4:28Curry Badshah: And you just said Kabbalah, and I was like,"Oh my God." I haven't heard that in so long.
- 4:32Curry Badshah: I love it.
- 4:33Curry Badshah: And you told me something that I absolutely loved to hear, Is that you got into human design by listening to a podcast.
- 4:41Curry Badshah: And so I'm hoping today, not just me, but other people will also get into human design by listening to this podcast.
- 4:48Pooja Bhatnagar: Yes.
- 4:48Pooja Bhatnagar: It really changed my life.
- 4:50Pooja Bhatnagar: I was driving from LA to Arizona, and in human design I'm...
- 4:54Pooja Bhatnagar: There are different energy types, I'm a manifestor, and this, it, there's something called urges, and I just felt this urge.
- 5:01Pooja Bhatnagar: I'm like,"I need to become a human design expert," I heard that podcast.
- 5:05Pooja Bhatnagar: So yeah,
- 5:06Curry Badshah: I think I will
- 5:07Pooja Bhatnagar: podcast flourishes and does so, so well.
- 5:09Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 5:10Curry Badshah: Thank you so much.
- 5:11Curry Badshah: I love that.
- 5:12Curry Badshah: All right, Julie,
- 5:14Julie Taparia: Hello
- 5:14Curry Badshah: to everybody about who you are, how you got into this
- 5:17Julie Taparia: Yeah.
- 5:17Julie Taparia: No, I'm Julie Taparia.
- 5:18Julie Taparia: I've been studying Vedic astrology ever since I was 33 in 2009.
- 5:24Julie Taparia: So you can probably calculate my age.
- 5:26Julie Taparia: I started doing it on my own, listening to podcasts, like different videos online, reading different books from India, and just like slowly gathering the concepts of Vedic astrology.
- 5:36Julie Taparia: And it's really just about life.
- 5:37Julie Taparia: It's not just about astrology.
- 5:39Julie Taparia: It's about, like, how people live their life in a certain way.
- 5:43Julie Taparia: And, there's different themes that happen, and y- it's just like there's different themes and different timelines in life that kick off different karma.
- 5:50Julie Taparia: And so I got very interested.
- 5:52Julie Taparia: And I actually started a course in 2017.
- 5:56Julie Taparia: No, sorry, 2016 to 2024, and I got my thesis and my degree in Vedic astrology from a university in New Delhi.
- 6:03Julie Taparia: So now I teach in New York City, and I, do readings and podcasts and different seminars, and it's been really cool.
- 6:09Julie Taparia: Worked with Pooja just to discuss, like, how can we make this more accessible for people like us, that just want to understand ourselves much more better and not have to go through years of trying to do trial and error, trying to figure out,"What should I do with my life?
- 6:25Julie Taparia: Where should I be?
- 6:25Julie Taparia: Where should I, When is my good time period?
- 6:27Julie Taparia: When is my bad time period?" So that's where I started, like, digging deep.
- 6:31Julie Taparia: And, Pooja and I really developed this awesome personality test to go deeper within your psyche and say,"Hey, I am who I am because of these energies and because of these my moon sign, how my
- 6:42Curry Badshah: Mm-hmm.
- 6:42Julie Taparia: made up different, what is my soul purpose," and all that sort of stuff.
- 6:46Julie Taparia: So that's where I am
- 6:47Curry Badshah: Yeah, I love that.
- 6:48Curry Badshah: And for those of you who have been following me as Curry Badshah for a while, and also listened to the old podcast, Julie is someone who I had before, and she like...
- 6:57Curry Badshah: We talked a lot about how Vedic astrology can really help, the different facets of it.
- 7:01Curry Badshah: And then there was some bonus content that you can find on my YouTube channel where she read my chart and found out a lot of great stuff.
- 7:07Curry Badshah: Even my mom sat and watched that video, and she was like,"Okay, good.
- 7:12Curry Badshah: I'm hearing good things, but it's just gonna take some time for you." And I- and that's how I personally got into astrology, was by being like, there is no way I am messing up my own stuff all the time.
- 7:23Curry Badshah: Like I can't be 100% wrong all of the time.
- 7:26Curry Badshah: Like, that's just, that doesn't seem correct.
- 7:29Curry Badshah: And that's how I got into astrology myself, not just by my parents saying"Oh you know, this is, this such and such astrologer said that this is what's destined for you this year." I wanted to know this what was going on.
- 7:41Curry Badshah: And I needed some answers.
- 7:42Curry Badshah: And,
- 7:42Julie Taparia: to understand.
- 7:43Julie Taparia: I think the With Sanskrit tied into it, no one understands our religion.
- 7:47Julie Taparia: There's nothing about us today that understands what Hinduism or all the, even Jainism, what does it really mean?
- 7:54Julie Taparia: All of these words are in Sanskrit.
- 7:56Julie Taparia: So I took it upon myself to learn a lot about what the meaning is behind every single mantra, every single thing in Vedic astrology, and the Rig Veda has a lot of this information too.
- 8:07Julie Taparia: So it took seven years, but it was fascinating, and it's really
- 8:11Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 8:11Julie Taparia: nothing what we live like.
- 8:13Julie Taparia: The perceptions of, what you should do versus when you should get married, what you should do.
- 8:18Julie Taparia: It's not really...
- 8:20Julie Taparia: That's a very cultural thing in modern day.
- 8:21Julie Taparia: But, I think Vedic astrology lists out your karma will play out and when you're supposed to do certain things at a certain time.
- 8:28Julie Taparia: Nothing happens all in one day or in the
- 8:30Curry Badshah: Yes
- 8:31Julie Taparia: So that's really reassuring when we start seeing different types of lives, different types of people, what they do for a living, where they live, how they live.
- 8:41Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 8:42Curry Badshah: That's what helped me, that I finally was able to get some answers and be like,"Okay, there you go.
- 8:47Curry Badshah: It's because this is not meant for me right now," or,"I'm meant to have this, like, period of, tumultuousness and then it's gonna end up being much better, you know at X, Y, and Z timeline." And it helped me just come to terms with it and just unclench and relax and be like,"Okay, it's all gonna happen." We're all gonna make our little efforts towards it, but at the end of the day, it's just gonna happen when it's supposed to happen." And I know my mom has always said various things of there was some karmic debt that you had to do and so that's why X, Y, Z happened." Even if it's"Oh, I came into some money because of whatever reason," and then of course, like, that's when my car breaks down, and I have to use that money.
- 9:23Curry Badshah: And so she's like, it wasn't your money to keep.
- 9:25Curry Badshah: You owed some debt somewhere and that's why it happened, and you had to lose the money again." So little things like that, it really...
- 9:30Curry Badshah: I went from being like,"Ma, that's dumb," like,"Stop," to being like,"No, yeah, that makes sense." But I really wanna dive into human design, Pooja.
- 9:40Curry Badshah: You said that you're a manifestor, and I'm curious how, where...
- 9:45Curry Badshah: what's the best place to get started with human design?
- 9:48Curry Badshah: Like, where do you get...
- 9:49Curry Badshah: Like, where can someone go to be like,"Let me figure out what my human design is," and how does someone figure out, like, that they're a manifestor?
- 9:56Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 9:57Pooja Bhatnagar: So there are free websites online.
- 9:59Pooja Bhatnagar: There is Jovian Archive, I can't think of it all on the top of my head, but there are a few websites.
- 10:04Pooja Bhatnagar: And you would have to just put the exact same thing as you put w- for your astrology.
- 10:08Pooja Bhatnagar: You just put your birth date, birth time, birth place, and you can find out all the information.
- 10:15Pooja Bhatnagar: It may not make sense but When you see it, that your energy type, you'll see your profile, you'll see...
- 10:22Pooja Bhatnagar: And again, I know these words don't really make sense right now, but you'll see your authority, and you'll see just so many different components and aspects of human design.
- 10:31Pooja Bhatnagar: It can get, there's the surface level, like, where, you have your signs in astrology, that's energy types, and then it gets deeper and deeper.
- 10:39Pooja Bhatnagar: Just pla- like peeling a layer off an onion.
- 10:42Pooja Bhatnagar: Every time you're like,"Oh my God.
- 10:43Pooja Bhatnagar: Oh my God," you learn more and more.
- 10:44Pooja Bhatnagar: And yeah, so a manifestor is one of the five energy types that exists out there, and then there's four more.
- 10:52Pooja Bhatnagar: And I think you are a projector from what I, when I was researching earlier.
- 10:57Curry Badshah: that's so sad
- 11:00Pooja Bhatnagar: is that what you were...
- 11:00Pooja Bhatnagar: Did you see that you were a projector?
- 11:02Curry Badshah: No, I don't.
- 11:03Curry Badshah: I honestly, I've looked it up a couple of times and I don't recall.
- 11:07Curry Badshah: For some reason it doesn't stick in my brain the way like astrology stuff does.
- 11:10Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 11:10Pooja Bhatnagar: thing for me with astrology.
- 11:12Pooja Bhatnagar: It doesn't stick in my brain the same
- 11:15Curry Badshah: 'cause like I really got into astrology, so a lot of that just like finds the spot in my brain and just takes its place.
- 11:20Curry Badshah: But human design for some- I think the only thing, I think you mentioned authority.
- 11:25Curry Badshah: I think there's like a splenic authority or something like...
- 11:28Pooja Bhatnagar: So
- 11:28Curry Badshah: I think that's the only thing that stuck with me that I know and like I looked it up and I was like,"Oh, that means I the gut, like I tr- have to trust my gut." And that's where I get that from where I'm like,
- 11:38Pooja Bhatnagar: so that's different.
- 11:39Pooja Bhatnagar: So
- 11:39Curry Badshah: "Oh, that's pretty neat.
- 11:40Curry Badshah: I don't know."
- 11:41Pooja Bhatnagar: gut and trusting your splenic or tr- your splenic is your intuition.
- 11:47Pooja Bhatnagar: Is a full body experience, and that's what a lot of generators and manifesting generators your have, have.
- 11:52Pooja Bhatnagar: Projectors actually don't have the gut defined, but
- 11:56Curry Badshah: Oh
- 11:57Pooja Bhatnagar: yeah.
- 11:57Pooja Bhatnagar: And that is like your, that's like the go go energy.
- 12:00Pooja Bhatnagar: That's like your creative energy.
- 12:02Pooja Bhatnagar: It's usually it's the generators and manifesting generators.
- 12:05Pooja Bhatnagar: Any generator has that gut experience.
- 12:08Pooja Bhatnagar: Manifestors and Projectors and reflectors don't even have the, it's called sacral, and it's not it's undefined.
- 12:14Pooja Bhatnagar: So
- 12:14Curry Badshah: Okay
- 12:14Pooja Bhatnagar: defined by your splenic, which is your intuition.
- 12:17Pooja Bhatnagar: So like you, it's not even, it's not a full, it's,
- 12:20Curry Badshah: Oh, it's not a gut thing.
- 12:21Curry Badshah: It's an in-
- 12:21Pooja Bhatnagar: a gut.
- 12:22Pooja Bhatnagar: It's, yeah, so gut is a full body experience.
- 12:24Pooja Bhatnagar: Intuition is
- 12:25Curry Badshah: I like now knowing that there's a difference
- 12:27Pooja Bhatnagar: I just kn- yeah, I just know it's happening
- 12:29Curry Badshah: I couldn't...
- 12:30Curry Badshah: Okay, I didn't know that there was a difference.
- 12:32Curry Badshah: I always felt like your intuition told your gut,
- 12:34Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah
- 12:35Curry Badshah: I thought that there was a connection there, but you're saying that there isn't, and that they're two completely different things.
- 12:40Curry Badshah: It's if you're in a sketchy situation and your gut is like,"This is not great, you need to leave," like that's a whole body experience that's different
- 12:47Pooja Bhatnagar: feel something in their body.
- 12:48Pooja Bhatnagar: They'll be like oh." They'll feel it.
- 12:49Pooja Bhatnagar: And but
- 12:50Curry Badshah: Uh-huh.
- 12:50Curry Badshah: Okay.
- 12:51Pooja Bhatnagar: it's actual real intuition.
- 12:53Pooja Bhatnagar: Your spleen, which is your intuition, is defined.
- 12:56Pooja Bhatnagar: And it sometimes it can come off as fear, sometimes it can come off as a knowing.
- 13:00Pooja Bhatnagar: So again you have to there are certain aspects within it.
- 13:05Pooja Bhatnagar: There's your gates, there's your channels that are defined.
- 13:07Pooja Bhatnagar: Obviously we're not gonna go so into detail, but you'll see sometimes you can say,"Oh, shit, that's a fear," but no, let me change that to a knowing.
- 13:16Pooja Bhatnagar: So a lot of the human design is, let's say something's going wrong with your coworker, something's going wrong with your relationship and the way that you communicate, and you can look at the center, look at your channels, look at your gates, see what's defined, how do you change it, how do you make that a fe- how do you make that a knowing instead of a fear, and how to make that communication better.
- 13:34Pooja Bhatnagar: And so human design is all about communicating better, creating better situations that are out there so to face more success.
- 13:43Curry Badshah: I love that.
- 13:44Pooja Bhatnagar: of your life.
- 13:46Curry Badshah: Oh my God, I love that so much.
- 13:47Curry Badshah: See, this is the...
- 13:48Curry Badshah: This is gonna be, this is gonna be my own podcast that starts getting me into it where I'm gonna listen to, I'm gonna listen to this back and be like,"Ugh, so great." And I'm gonna start diving even deeper because by the time this comes out, my conversation with Aparna would have also come out.
- 14:04Curry Badshah: And Aparna and I also talk, you know, and you both know Aparna, and she knows both of you.
- 14:08Curry Badshah: And we did, her and I did talk a little bit about human design, and I believe it was off-camera that we did this, that sh- she like made me look up all the stuff.
- 14:17Curry Badshah: And but she was able...
- 14:19Curry Badshah: Such a great she, like, read me so she has such a great read on people, and that's what I felt, that she just, like, instantly was like, did you wanna edit, or did you wanna stop, like, she was immediately able to read me in, like, the best way, in the nicest way, that I was like,"Thank you for recognizing.
- 14:35Curry Badshah: Yes.
- 14:36Pooja Bhatnagar: She's
- 14:37Curry Badshah: I would like to take a moment."
- 14:39Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 14:39Pooja Bhatnagar: She we were manifestors.
- 14:41Pooja Bhatnagar: So you and Julie are projectors.
- 14:42Pooja Bhatnagar: Me and Aparna are actually manifestors.
- 14:44Pooja Bhatnagar: So
- 14:44Curry Badshah: okay
- 14:45Pooja Bhatnagar: But to talk about, we can we, we can talk a little bit more about what a projector is, or we can go into something else.
- 14:50Pooja Bhatnagar: But I- usually projectors, you know how you s- you were saying that like people have different timelines, right?
- 14:56Pooja Bhatnagar: And so like projectors, you guys are like the new CEOs of this world.
- 15:00Pooja Bhatnagar: So it feels like you're not...
- 15:03Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah, so I w- I always say a projector, they're like the guides, they're observers.
- 15:06Pooja Bhatnagar: Like Obama is a projector.
- 15:08Pooja Bhatnagar: The people that are making like the MySpace to the Facebook, Facebook to the Instagram to the TikToks.
- 15:14Pooja Bhatnagar: Like you're not like the bigger, you're like the smaller, like this podcast in itself, right?
- 15:19Pooja Bhatnagar: Like you're, you have your own timeline.
- 15:21Pooja Bhatnagar: You're not here to work like 10 hours a day.
- 15:24Pooja Bhatnagar: You're here to work like three to four hours and then just, see and guide and observe and come up with your own small little and, you're just, you're the new CEOs of this world.
- 15:34Pooja Bhatnagar: And that's, I always define projectors as that.
- 15:36Pooja Bhatnagar: And so like you're busy always like doing that.
- 15:39Curry Badshah: Yeah, I am already
- 15:39Pooja Bhatnagar: have your own time- you all have your own timeline.
- 15:42Pooja Bhatnagar: And the other energy types have also their own timeline as well.
- 15:45Pooja Bhatnagar: Not, no
- 15:46Curry Badshah: I love that
- 15:46Pooja Bhatnagar: not
- 15:47Curry Badshah: because I feel like you hear the word projector, and you think about, like, projecting your insecurities onto someone.
- 15:51Curry Badshah: That's the first thought.
- 15:52Curry Badshah: So when I hear projector, I'm like,"Is that bad?" But then I guess your human design can never actually, quote,"be bad," it is just who you are and how you are and how you're literally designed to be, and it just means that you are the type of person whose behavior is X, Y, and Z by, you know, typically speaking.
- 16:11Curry Badshah: And so, okay, yeah.
- 16:12Curry Badshah: This does...
- 16:13Curry Badshah: This whole, like, busy and always trying to find out little things makes a lot of sense in the times where, like, my career is on a dip on a low, That's when I'm, like, somehow the, still the busiest person because that's when I take on all the other projects that are sitting a little dormant.
- 16:27Curry Badshah: And then I'm like,"Okay.
- 16:28Curry Badshah: I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna do that, and I'm gonna do 10 different things," to where, like, miraculously now I have zero time available.
- 16:34Curry Badshah: And people are like,"Aren't you unemployed?" And I'm like,"Yes, but, like, I have 17 projects going on." So every spare time is spent in figuring those things out or, like, trying to make the most of all of those situations.
- 16:49Curry Badshah: But you mentioned timelines, so I wanna jump to Julie about timelines and astrology and all of that.
- 16:55Curry Badshah: Like, Julie, you helped me realize that, Based on my Vedic chart, on my birth chart, that, like, I'm not supposed to get married until after 35.
- 17:04Curry Badshah: And I was like,"Oh, okay," so I can just release my grip on the need to find a husband and just not hold on to this timeline definition of oh my God, and if it doesn't happen by 35, like, something's wrong with me or I'm broken or whatever like that.
- 17:23Curry Badshah: But I would love us to get into, like, the timelines of people because, like I said in my intro, like, society's always saying, like, these are the things that have to happen within this timeline, but we talked about how that's very much just a cultural thing versus, like, what's meant for us.
- 17:41Curry Badshah: Can you talk more about that and elaborate on various aspects
- 17:44Julie Taparia: So Vedic astrology, and all of us live in a certain time period.
- 17:48Julie Taparia: You are in a different time period than I am.
- 17:51Curry Badshah: Mm-hmm.
- 17:51Julie Taparia: is in a different time period than h- than all of us.
- 17:53Julie Taparia: We...
- 17:54Julie Taparia: This is what's interesting about Vedic astrology, is that Vedic astrology, it's a predictive astrology.
- 17:59Julie Taparia: It can actually tell you what year you'll find your spouse, when you'll have a child, when you'll actually have your job, when will you peak at your career, when will you have a health issue.
- 18:09Julie Taparia: Everything.
- 18:09Julie Taparia: There's timings, and not everyone has the same timing.
- 18:14Julie Taparia: So for example, there, the timings are called dasha, and dasha's Know, a season of life.
- 18:20Julie Taparia: So when you see a lot of people who get married in their 20s and find the love of their life and get married and get pregnant and then have children, that's usually a time period where it might be a Venus time period for a lot of women, or a Moon time period,'cause Venus is love.
- 18:35Julie Taparia: Moon is actually a very nurturing planet.
- 18:37Julie Taparia: The Moon, the Moon is people talk about emotions when you have the Moon.
- 18:41Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 18:42Julie Taparia: there's connotations to every planet in Vedic astrology.
- 18:45Julie Taparia: So imagine when we didn't have anything but the sky to look at.
- 18:49Julie Taparia: The characteristics of the planet is represents of what in the sky.
- 18:54Julie Taparia: So for example, Saturn, y- there's rings, right?
- 18:58Julie Taparia: There's rings around Saturn, lots of air, lots of dust.
- 19:02Julie Taparia: It's far away from the Sun, so it's a cold planet where lots of rocks are rotating Saturn.
- 19:08Julie Taparia: So if you think about, it's a very windy planet with no light.
- 19:11Julie Taparia: So when Saturn, if you're going through a Saturn time period, it's called shani in, in Sanskrit.
- 19:17Curry Badshah: Oh, very familiar
- 19:19Julie Taparia: yeah, you're going through a period of, like, where it's a little bit you don't see the light.
- 19:23Julie Taparia: You're always working.
- 19:24Julie Taparia: It's a lot of wind, right?
- 19:25Julie Taparia: Anxiety.
- 19:26Julie Taparia: When you're breathing really heavy, it's anxiety, right?
- 19:29Julie Taparia: It's wind.
- 19:30Julie Taparia: So imagine the characteristics of the planet, and then there's a Saturn time period where you're always working really hard.
- 19:36Julie Taparia: You're, just a very much going through the motions of The grit of life and Annoying, right?
- 19:42Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 19:43Julie Taparia: Saturn period's over, which is a very long time, then you
- 19:46Curry Badshah: Seven yea- isn't it usually seven, seven and a half years?
- 19:46Curry Badshah: 'Cause I had one
- 19:49Julie Taparia: Oh,
- 19:49Curry Badshah: of the...
- 19:49Julie Taparia: Sade Sati.
- 19:50Julie Taparia: That's something different, but
- 19:51Curry Badshah: Oh God.
- 19:52Julie Taparia: thing.
- 19:52Julie Taparia: It's a very
- 19:52Curry Badshah: Goodness
- 19:53Julie Taparia: but Saturn is on top of your mind.
- 19:55Julie Taparia: And when that happens, you have anxiety, you have some life lessons, like things happen, but it's a shorter period.
- 20:01Julie Taparia: But then after Saturn happens is that it's, it changes completely.
- 20:05Julie Taparia: Then a new phase starts, and it's I believe it's Mercury.
- 20:09Julie Taparia: So Mercury is Mercury retrograde.
- 20:11Julie Taparia: Everyone's about communications, right?
- 20:12Julie Taparia: Like it's a fast-moving planet in the sky.
- 20:15Julie Taparia: It's the fastest moving planet around the sun.
- 20:18Julie Taparia: So it's almost like a child.
- 20:19Julie Taparia: A child runs really fast.
- 20:20Julie Taparia: It's like a playful time in
- 20:22Curry Badshah: That's why chaos, like...
- 20:23Curry Badshah: Oh, maybe not.
- 20:24Curry Badshah: You just said playful and I said chaos
- 20:26Julie Taparia: your toys on the ground, right?
- 20:28Julie Taparia: It's y-
- 20:28Pooja Bhatnagar: that was me last week
- 20:29Julie Taparia: yeah, you're throwing toys on the ground, and you're like very playful.
- 20:31Julie Taparia: It's like fast.
- 20:32Julie Taparia: Like kids are fast.
- 20:33Julie Taparia: Like it's very, they're very talkative.
- 20:35Julie Taparia: And then after that...
- 20:36Julie Taparia: Like there's different phases.
- 20:37Julie Taparia: So when people go through a Venus phase, maybe a lot of women in their twenties and thirties might have go, going through a twenty-year Venus cycle.
- 20:45Julie Taparia: That's when you'll get, see them get married.
- 20:47Julie Taparia: That's what happens.
- 20:48Julie Taparia: But if your Venus cycle is in your forties, you're gonna get married in your forties most probably because that's when your Venus cycle happens.
- 20:55Julie Taparia: Another period that women can get married is Jupiter.
- 20:58Julie Taparia: Jupiter cycles are, I believe, seventeen to sixteen years, and that's a time period where you'll see a woman find her husband, f- have her children, all within that sixteen-year period.
- 21:09Julie Taparia: But other things do happen, but it's really the, the spirituality comes into place'cause Jupiter is just that planet of abundance.
- 21:15Julie Taparia: Why is it abundance?
- 21:16Julie Taparia: 'Cause Jupiter is filled with gas, and it's a weird thing, but Jupiter is a very gassy planet, so gas expands.
- 21:24Julie Taparia: It's very
- 21:24Curry Badshah: Uh-huh.
- 21:25Julie Taparia: this, but when you look at things that expand, Jupiter expands your life, expands prosperity, expands your whole lineage.
- 21:32Julie Taparia: You get children.
- 21:33Julie Taparia: You get married.
- 21:34Julie Taparia: So this is where I think a lot of dashas come into place, activate certain events in our life.
- 21:40Julie Taparia: So ther- therefore, you can see a lot of women get married during moon.
- 21:44Julie Taparia: It's a nurturing planet with emotions.
- 21:46Julie Taparia: Jupiter is very like abundance, and Venus is
- 21:49Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 21:50Julie Taparia: of love.
- 21:50Julie Taparia: So that's
- 21:50Curry Badshah: Okay, I have a question for you that I don't know if it's silly, but that's the whole point of this, right?
- 21:55Curry Badshah: Ask the silly questions also.
- 21:56Curry Badshah: So why not?
- 21:57Curry Badshah: All right.
- 21:58Curry Badshah: You told me that I have a real- really great Jupiter placement.
- 22:01Curry Badshah: You're like,"You're very lucky.
- 22:02Curry Badshah: Your Jupiter is, like really good." And so I had gotten a ring with a yellow stone because of Jupiter.
- 22:09Julie Taparia: Right.
- 22:09Curry Badshah: mom was like,"Good.
- 22:11Curry Badshah: Make sure you wear that.
- 22:12Curry Badshah: It's a yellow gemstone, Jupiter," all this stuff.
- 22:15Curry Badshah: Recently, it broke.
- 22:18Julie Taparia: Okay
- 22:18Curry Badshah: that a good sign or a bad sign?
- 22:21Julie Taparia: That's just
- 22:22Curry Badshah: The stone didn't break.
- 22:23Curry Badshah: The ring itself broke.
- 22:24Curry Badshah: I will define that.
- 22:25Curry Badshah: Like
- 22:25Julie Taparia: that outbreak, right?
- 22:26Curry Badshah: the gem did not break.
- 22:27Curry Badshah: The gold band broke.
- 22:29Julie Taparia: Okay
- 22:29Curry Badshah: and I was trying to wear it still'cause I was like,"Oh, I didn't even notice it broke for a while." But then it got caught on something and pulled, and I was like,"Now it hurts, and I can't..." But then I was like,"Oh my God, I'm not wearing it." Is my Saturn...
- 22:40Curry Badshah: Is my...
- 22:41Curry Badshah: Or sorry, my Jupiter.
- 22:42Curry Badshah: Is my Jupiter gonna, like, the...
- 22:44Curry Badshah: Is my luck gonna change for the worse?
- 22:46Julie Taparia: I
- 22:46Curry Badshah: Okay.
- 22:46Julie Taparia: is where omens are.
- 22:48Julie Taparia: Like, you can see omens.
- 22:49Julie Taparia: Omens are a big part of Vedic astrology.
- 22:51Julie Taparia: Like, when something breaks, it's just not the right time to wear it.
- 22:54Julie Taparia: Maybe it's a time for something else, and you go back to it later.
- 22:58Julie Taparia: So maybe you need to wear it later.
- 22:59Julie Taparia: But I think omens are pretty fascinating, and it's nice that you picked up that signal, the external signal.
- 23:06Julie Taparia: When...
- 23:08Julie Taparia: there's all sorts of omens you can find, and-
- 23:11Curry Badshah: Yeah, because this ring has been actually a little bit annoying since purchasing it.
- 23:16Curry Badshah: And I'm starting to wonder, I'm like,"Am I even supposed to have this ring?" Because first there was a whole situation where a prong needed to be fixed, and then I was leaving town, and there was, like, chaos to get it back.
- 23:27Curry Badshah: I told my mom, I was like,"No, it's okay.
- 23:29Curry Badshah: You hold onto it," and she's like,"What is the point of getting you a ring for your luck if you can't wear it for the next six months?" Like,"What do you mean, like, you're gonna leave town without it?"
- 23:37Julie Taparia: Yeah, that's just one remedy.
- 23:39Julie Taparia: Huh?
- 23:40Pooja Bhatnagar: That's happened to me too as well with the ring.
- 23:42Pooja Bhatnagar: So I didn't know about the omen.
- 23:44Pooja Bhatnagar: That's good to know.
- 23:45Pooja Bhatnagar: Sorry.
- 23:45Pooja Bhatnagar: That happened to
- 23:46Curry Badshah: oh, okay.
- 23:46Curry Badshah: Yes.
- 23:46Curry Badshah: Continue to educate us, Julie
- 23:48Pooja Bhatnagar: I was like- Yeah it happened to me with an opal.
- 23:49Pooja Bhatnagar: I was like,
- 23:50Julie Taparia: was it opal?
- 23:50Pooja Bhatnagar: I was like, yeah, an opal happened to me as well, and I it was such a
- 23:54Julie Taparia: umbrella.
- 23:55Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 23:55Pooja Bhatnagar: Just,
- 23:55Julie Taparia: I think there's some omens.
- 23:57Julie Taparia: It might not be the right time.
- 23:58Julie Taparia: I also think that some stones, you don't know if it's supposed to...
- 24:02Julie Taparia: The effect of wearing that stone, does it really make a positive or negative effect?
- 24:06Julie Taparia: You might have to try it out for 40 days, they say, to really see the effect of it.
- 24:10Julie Taparia: If it doesn't do anything, then maybe it's not the right time,'cause it activates the energy that's supposed to be there.
- 24:16Julie Taparia: Let's say you're going through a Jupiter cycle.
- 24:18Julie Taparia: It should activate it and make it stronger.
- 24:20Julie Taparia: If you're not going through a Jupiter cycle, it just might give you, like, more wisdom,'cause that's what it does.
- 24:24Julie Taparia: It gives you wisdom, gives you some spirituality, but it might not give you that husband right away.
- 24:29Julie Taparia: But I think what I found more stronger is, it's a physical thing.
- 24:34Julie Taparia: I think the going internal and fixing the, doing the mantras are much more powerful.
- 24:41Julie Taparia: We were talking about this earlier.
- 24:42Julie Taparia: Doing the mantras on a daily basis Does have an effect on your mind, and then when you have that effect on your mind, it changes everything.
- 24:49Julie Taparia: Your mind is...
- 24:50Julie Taparia: The next thing is the, an action.
- 24:52Julie Taparia: The next thing is a result.
- 24:53Julie Taparia: The next thing is an outcome.
- 24:54Julie Taparia: Those are different things that can change the way you view things.
- 24:57Julie Taparia: It makes you get up from work.
- 24:58Julie Taparia: It makes you get up from the bed and do something different.
- 25:01Julie Taparia: So I Is a very powerful tool,'cause mantra is mun- manas.
- 25:06Julie Taparia: is mind, and tra is tool, so it's a tool for your mind.
- 25:10Julie Taparia: So that's how..
- 25:11Julie Taparia: 'cause people didn't have money back they, back in the day.
- 25:14Julie Taparia: They couldn't purchase a diamond.
- 25:15Julie Taparia: They couldn't purchase an opal.
- 25:17Julie Taparia: So To?
- 25:17Julie Taparia: They go to their mantras, their tool to activate the certain chakras in your body and activate the certain planets in your chart, and that actually does work very strongly,
- 25:28Curry Badshah: yeah, I feel when I was, at least like last year, I know I was like dedicatedly meditating every morning.
- 25:36Curry Badshah: And it's a 10-minute guided meditation.
- 25:37Curry Badshah: I use an app, like, and I always felt better for doing it, and it was just it I started doing it by habit stacking.
- 25:44Curry Badshah: I was like, if I brush my teeth, I have to, you know, as soon as I finish brushing my teeth, I meditate.
- 25:48Curry Badshah: Only then do I make my coffee and go about my day, and all that stuff.
- 25:51Curry Badshah: So I had to fit it into all of my morning habits.
- 25:54Curry Badshah: And so I felt like I was my most intuitive, like, last year.
- 25:59Curry Badshah: I feel like I was very, like, I just feel like this is right, and I just gotta do it, and I feel And I remember people asking me, like,"How do you know when you came into the..." And I'm like,"I really think something about meditating just taught me how to listen to inside." And as someone who, like, diagnosed ADD as a kid, like medication my entire life, like my brain jumps everywhere.
- 26:23Curry Badshah: It's probably also why I'm a constantly busy person, because I need things to do.
- 26:27Curry Badshah: Sitting around, like, I can only sit around and be lazy for so long.
- 26:31Curry Badshah: And so I always need some- like, I need things to do and...
- 26:35Curry Badshah: But but that was a time where I was like, I've Somehow I can just figure out that this feels right and I'm gonna do it, or that seems right and I'm gonna do it, and can't really give you a solid reason why, or I can give you a list of things and It's not gonna make sense to you, but it makes sense to me, and so that's what I'm gonna do.
- 26:52Curry Badshah: And I think that's another whole thing of this entire discussion, where sometimes, like, I'll talk to my parents and tell them I've made this decision for a reason, that it just seems right, and they're like,"You're an adult.
- 27:02Curry Badshah: Like, I don't know, like, we don't know what else to say.
- 27:04Curry Badshah: We're gonna tell you something and you're not gonna listen because you're an adult and you feel this way about something, so therefore you're just gonna do it." Or my brother, and we're very close, and he'll say"Yeah, that's not a decision I would make, but you seem pretty str- pretty strong about it, so I support you."
- 27:18Pooja Bhatnagar: So
- 27:19Curry Badshah: then I find myself being, like, party of one in this belief.
- 27:22Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah
- 27:22Curry Badshah: But I really do believe that when I was dedicatedly meditating all the time, that it was just, for some reason I was so certain about so many things.
- 27:30Pooja Bhatnagar: So to go back, to even talk about to talk about y-you are going to enhance your intuition.
- 27:36Pooja Bhatnagar: You are defined by your splenic, which is your intuition.
- 27:39Pooja Bhatnagar: Meditating, it's gonna get stronger, and stronger, and
- 27:42Curry Badshah: okay
- 27:43Pooja Bhatnagar: you're gonna know what to do, actually.
- 27:46Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 27:46Pooja Bhatnagar: You will...
- 27:47Pooja Bhatnagar: And you-- obviously consistency is key to anything and everything in life, which
- 27:52Curry Badshah: Yes, of course.
- 27:54Curry Badshah: Yes
- 27:55Pooja Bhatnagar: with you being a projector, and I know Julie knows this, Your strategy in life is to be invited do things.
- 28:03Pooja Bhatnagar: It's not initiation.
- 28:05Pooja Bhatnagar: It's not res- It's to be invited.
- 28:07Pooja Bhatnagar: But it
- 28:07Curry Badshah: I love that
- 28:08Pooja Bhatnagar: you're just waiting for the invitation.
- 28:10Curry Badshah: No
- 28:11Pooja Bhatnagar: You're doing your things.
- 28:12Pooja Bhatnagar: You're, like, studying, you're researching, you're doing nothing.
- 28:15Pooja Bhatnagar: Whatever it is that you need to do, but it's the invitation is what's gonna be the most successful in any area of your life, from
- 28:24Curry Badshah: I love that.
- 28:26Curry Badshah: It feels like it makes a lot of sense because I keep...
- 28:29Curry Badshah: I've talked a lot many times about it's just nice to include people, and my whole thing is about inclusion.
- 28:36Curry Badshah: Like, I'm just like ev- like, sometimes I'll invite friends to things and I'm like,"You don't even live in town, and I know you're not gonna be able to make it, but I'm inviting you because it's nice to be invited, and I want you to know that I want you to be there." But
- 28:48Pooja Bhatnagar: it's you to be invited.
- 28:50Curry Badshah: for me, and that's where it's like that's how I see the world, so when the world doesn't see it like that for me
- 28:55Pooja Bhatnagar: okay
- 28:56Curry Badshah: I've matured since and stopped being like, you know, a butt about it and being like,"Eh, then you can invite..." I'm just like,"All right.
- 29:02Curry Badshah: Whatever" You know?
- 29:03Curry Badshah: Like I've learned to come to around a reason.
- 29:05Curry Badshah: But I'm like, I just want to be included.
- 29:08Curry Badshah: I wanna be invited.
- 29:09Curry Badshah: I wanna be considered.
- 29:10Curry Badshah: And n-not, I mean, we haven't talked really about, like, r-relationships or romantic relationships, but I've started to say"No, I wanna be pursued." And and people are like how are you making yourself available?" I'm like,"I'm putting myself in a bar, in a cafe with a book or, like, some...
- 29:27Curry Badshah: or, like, sitting somewhere and just people watching." And I'm like, this is me being like, I'm out here.
- 29:31Curry Badshah: I'm ready.
- 29:32Curry Badshah: I would...
- 29:32Curry Badshah: I don't mind.
- 29:33Curry Badshah: I'm not on my phone.
- 29:35Curry Badshah: I'm not on a laptop working'cause those signify, like, maybe I'm waiting for someone, or I'm just, like, at working on something.
- 29:42Curry Badshah: Like, I'm here and that, and I put myself in a situation, even if it's for an hour, and if someone approaches me, that's exactly what I want to be included in someone's, you know, pursue and not keep constantly doing the pursuing'cause I did it for years.
- 29:57Curry Badshah: I did it for years, and I considered myself a very strong, independent woman who's like,"If I want a man, I'm gonna go get him." And I did all of those things, and I was told, like,"The women should make a move and not be..." I'm like,"Damn straight.
- 30:09Curry Badshah: You wanna hook up to..." Like, I did all of that, and it had its other sides of benefit.
- 30:14Curry Badshah: You know, they worked in one way, but not in the way that I now have come to be like, I would like...
- 30:21Curry Badshah: I just want the person who wants me to let me know, to come find me and bring me along with him because then together it's gonna really work.
- 30:31Curry Badshah: And I tell people this that, you know, I'm like,"Maybe it sounds crazy, and maybe you're saying, like, you should still continue to make the move." I'm like,"I am putting myself in places, and I'm keeping my heart and mind open, and I think that's what feels right for me."'Cause every time I've tried what society and community keeps saying you should try X, Y, and Z, I'm like, I tried it all.
- 30:51Julie Taparia: Yeah.
- 30:51Curry Badshah: worked.
- 30:52Curry Badshah: Times that it, the times that I've had a nice relationship have come out of the blue where I wasn't chasing it, And they started conversations with me, and all of a sudden I went,"Huh, I like this"
- 31:05Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 31:06Curry Badshah: And I'm like, I think that's just what I'm supposed to do.
- 31:09Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 31:09Pooja Bhatnagar: The other way won't work, right?
- 31:11Pooja Bhatnagar: Oh, go on
- 31:12Julie Taparia: But it also no it talks about the fifth house versus seventh house in Vedic astrology.
- 31:15Julie Taparia: This is like what you're saying, like finding a relationship.
- 31:19Julie Taparia: So some people have a very hard time getting into a relationship.
- 31:23Julie Taparia: does not mean your marriage karma is doomed.
- 31:26Julie Taparia: relationships dating is different than marriage.
- 31:29Julie Taparia: Dating is your fifth house.
- 31:31Julie Taparia: Imagine there's 12 areas of your life, and one of the areas is actually for romance, and children, and love affairs, and even day trading.
- 31:41Julie Taparia: That's the same place.
- 31:42Curry Badshah: And day trading.
- 31:43Julie Taparia: tra- day trading, like gambling.
- 31:46Julie Taparia: If you have
- 31:47Curry Badshah: Uh-huh.
- 31:47Julie Taparia: Dating is like gambling, right?
- 31:48Julie Taparia: You shoot a dice.
- 31:49Julie Taparia: You're like,"Oh, is this guy right or It's a gamble.
- 31:52Julie Taparia: But that, and you can have good, really good gambling luck and, or you can have kinda not so good, like very
- 31:59Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 32:00Julie Taparia: But then you look at your marriage karma, it, that's a very different place in the chart.
- 32:05Julie Taparia: That is your seventh house.
- 32:06Julie Taparia: Seventh hou- house, how is it different?
- 32:09Julie Taparia: It's a business partnership.
- 32:11Julie Taparia: Marriage is a signed agreement that you will be with that person.
- 32:15Julie Taparia: I can sign an agreement with Pooja Bhatnagar and you, and we could have my marriage house get activated again because it's a business relationship.
- 32:23Julie Taparia: Now, how are my business, how is your business relationships working out?
- 32:27Julie Taparia: That is karma that's very different than your love affairs and gambling.
- 32:32Julie Taparia: So you can have terrible dates.
- 32:35Julie Taparia: Like, but then you can get married, and it's completely fine because the karma is different.
- 32:40Julie Taparia: So people really get down about"Oh, no one likes me.
- 32:43Julie Taparia: No one's asking me out." But then how do you get from a boyfriend to a marriage?
- 32:48Julie Taparia: That's where the arranged marriage system happened for a long time in India.
- 32:52Julie Taparia: And that's how maybe sometimes what happens, that you meet a person, kinda checks all the boxes, then you get married.
- 32:58Julie Taparia: There's not really the romance.
- 33:00Julie Taparia: Because the love later, and that's okay because it's different karmas.
- 33:05Curry Badshah: Mm-hmm.
- 33:06Julie Taparia: So it's very interesting to not get hung up on"Oh, this did not work out for me," because you don't know if that person good marriage karma or not.
- 33:17Julie Taparia: They could just have good relationship karma and romance karma.
- 33:22Curry Badshah: True.
- 33:22Julie Taparia: it's,
- 33:23Curry Badshah: enough.
- 33:23Julie Taparia: tricky, we can't...
- 33:24Curry Badshah: Yeah, when is life not tricky?
- 33:25Curry Badshah: E- even if it's predetermined and predestined, when is it not tricky?
- 33:29Curry Badshah: So the whole point of life
- 33:33Julie Taparia: Exactly
- 33:34Curry Badshah: what were you saying about the whole thing that I went off on?
- 33:39Pooja Bhatnagar: To being invited.
- 33:41Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah, so I would say you- it's, it would work, let's say, if you approach someone, but it's, I don't know how successful it would be in the way that you would want it to be, right?
- 33:51Pooja Bhatnagar: It, and it might not align as much as you would want it to align.
- 33:55Pooja Bhatnagar: It would work.
- 33:56Pooja Bhatnagar: Again, like human design is not telling you have to do this.
- 33:59Pooja Bhatnagar: It's just a way for you to change up things to see oh, is this actually working because this is my design?
- 34:05Pooja Bhatnagar: You're not designed based off, like, how your parents told you to do things, or even how your friend does things, right?
- 34:10Pooja Bhatnagar: You are so different from both of them.
- 34:12Pooja Bhatnagar: One, like for me, I'm a manifester, and I am supposed to be initiating, and I actually don't.
- 34:18Pooja Bhatnagar: I'm supposed to be up to a guy and saying,"Hey let me, can I date you?" And that's mine.
- 34:24Pooja Bhatnagar: That's also a part of design.
- 34:25Pooja Bhatnagar: But your design, Julie's it's to be invited, and to sit there and read that book, and do your craft, and to be pursued,'cause that
- 34:33Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 34:33Pooja Bhatnagar: more aligned
- 34:35Curry Badshah: I have a list of of fun questions that I hope you'll be able to answer.
- 34:40Curry Badshah: I'm sure you will.
- 34:41Curry Badshah: Okay.
- 34:41Curry Badshah: So for both of you human design Vedic astrology is so specific, it's attuned to the person.
- 34:50Curry Badshah: What is, or is there at least one particular element that you think everyone should know about their human design or their chart that if there's one thing that you follow, it should be this
- 35:04Julie Taparia: That's exactly what we did for Painted.
- 35:06Julie Taparia: Yeah
- 35:06Pooja Bhatnagar: that's exactly what we differentiated, yeah.
- 35:08Pooja Bhatnagar: There
- 35:08Curry Badshah: Oh my God, y'all get a Paint'd, get Paint'd analysis
- 35:11Pooja Bhatnagar: so yeah, so for human design, it's your energy type and how you are, basically it's like how you operate in this world, and the- it's the Types that I went through.
- 35:19Pooja Bhatnagar: And yeah, the second one is your profile and that is basically your personality.
- 35:24Pooja Bhatnagar: It's just how the world views you and how you view the world.
- 35:27Pooja Bhatnagar: So there's two numbers and yeah, so it's your energy type and your profile I would say are the
- 35:33Curry Badshah: Okay, cool.
- 35:33Curry Badshah: So for human design, energy and profile.
- 35:36Curry Badshah: Like those are the, if there's...
- 35:38Curry Badshah: Even if you don't believe, just check it out and just try it.
- 35:41Curry Badshah: Just read it and keep it in the back of your mind.
- 35:45Curry Badshah: Okay.
- 35:45Curry Badshah: Julie, for Vedic astrology, what's one thing that like,
- 35:50Julie Taparia: so I
- 35:50Curry Badshah: what's one thing to walk away with?
- 35:51Julie Taparia: lot of people just wonder what are they doing in this world, and what are they doing in their life purpose.
- 35:55Julie Taparia: It's called Atma Karaka.
- 35:57Julie Taparia: It's, Atma
- 35:57Curry Badshah: Ooh.
- 35:58Julie Taparia: soul, What your purpose.
- 36:00Julie Taparia: What is your sole purpose?
- 36:01Julie Taparia: So is it like, for example, is it Mercury?
- 36:05Julie Taparia: Like Mercury is communication.
- 36:06Julie Taparia: So like it's a planet that kinda des- defines it.
- 36:09Julie Taparia: So mine is Mercury actually, so that's why I started, having this to speak up about certain things and certain beliefs and certain systems that I'm learning right now.
- 36:20Julie Taparia: Human design, Vedic astrology, Ayurveda, like Vastu, all that stuff fascinates me, and I wanna learn and teach people.
- 36:27Julie Taparia: And I think it's very easy to get this knowledge.
- 36:30Julie Taparia: It's not hard, and I want people to make it readily available to them.
- 36:34Julie Taparia: So I feel like that is my sole purpose.
- 36:37Julie Taparia: If it's Jupiter, it could be like, oh, your sole purpose is to get wisdom, marriage, children.
- 36:44Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 36:44Julie Taparia: is spirituality?
- 36:45Julie Taparia: Like everyone has a purpose
- 36:47Curry Badshah: It has every...
- 36:47Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 36:48Curry Badshah: Like those people who are like,"I want, I'm meant to be a mom," it's like, great.
- 36:51Curry Badshah: Like, there's nothing wrong with that.
- 36:53Curry Badshah: Like, be- Yeah.
- 36:54Curry Badshah: Like, and if it's in your chart, like go off.
- 36:56Curry Badshah: Like, go be a mom.
- 36:57Curry Badshah: Like
- 36:57Julie Taparia: One, two
- 36:58Curry Badshah: that could be your whole thing.
- 36:59Curry Badshah: So, so the takeaway there is that if there's one thing from Vedic astrology, it's just like your Atma Karaka.
- 37:05Curry Badshah: Find-
- 37:05Julie Taparia: are walking around aimless, like what are they doing?
- 37:07Julie Taparia: They
- 37:08Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 37:08Julie Taparia: but deep down it might be something else that's
- 37:11Curry Badshah: Unfulfilled.
- 37:12Julie Taparia: Exactly
- 37:12Curry Badshah: Yeah, I love that.
- 37:13Curry Badshah: Okay, now here I have a few things that I've pulled from Sex and the City because of course I'm Carrie Bradshaw and I have to.
- 37:19Curry Badshah: So there's an instance where Carrie Bradshaw asks, you know, she does those voiceover things.
- 37:24Curry Badshah: She asks out loud"Can you make a mistake and miss your fate, or do our mistakes make our fate?" So I wanted to know, and I guess this is to whoever can feel like they answer the quest- they can answer the question.
- 37:37Curry Badshah: Is that possible?
- 37:38Curry Badshah: Can we miss our fate, or do our mistakes make our fate?
- 37:43Julie Taparia: I believe it's all fated.
- 37:45Julie Taparia: So there was a weird example, and this is gory, but we learned this in astrology.
- 37:49Julie Taparia: Let's say you're kidnapped, and there's two kids kidnapped.
- 37:52Julie Taparia: One of the kids doesn't have the willpower to get out, and one of the kids has the willpower to get out.
- 37:56Curry Badshah: Mm-hmm.
- 37:57Julie Taparia: luck in that area, but one of them survives, one of them doesn't survive.
- 38:01Julie Taparia: One survive?
- 38:02Julie Taparia: It's that-- it's their planet, their, maybe their will to fight and
- 38:07Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 38:07Julie Taparia: out, and like maybe it's that luck in that moment that they found a s- a moment to get out.
- 38:12Julie Taparia: And that shows that everything-- the mistakes are not mistakes.
- 38:17Julie Taparia: 'Cause there's multiple chances to get married.
- 38:19Julie Taparia: It's not just one time.
- 38:20Julie Taparia: You can see people, multiple marriages,
- 38:22Curry Badshah: for the people in the back.
- 38:23Curry Badshah: It's not just one time.
- 38:24Julie Taparia: Yes
- 38:25Curry Badshah: it's okay
- 38:26Julie Taparia: we all know that, right?
- 38:27Julie Taparia: We've seen multiple, second marriages, third marriages.
- 38:29Julie Taparia: We've seen multiple relationships.
- 38:31Julie Taparia: And it's normal.
- 38:31Julie Taparia: It's human life.
- 38:32Julie Taparia: But
- 38:33Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 38:34Julie Taparia: that's why I don't think you're really making a mistake.
- 38:36Julie Taparia: I think you-- the point of life is to reap the rewards of your good karma and past life deeds and also learn and grow from your weaknesses or mistakes, whatever you wanna say about that.
- 38:48Julie Taparia: But
- 38:49Curry Badshah: Okay
- 38:49Julie Taparia: keep going on doesn't work.
- 38:51Julie Taparia: You have to grow in this lifetime to out- overcome your weaknesses.
- 38:55Julie Taparia: Feel like there's no such thing as a mistake.
- 38:57Julie Taparia: Should've, could've, would've, that's
- 38:58Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 38:59Curry Badshah: They make you, they're lessons.
- 39:02Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah
- 39:02Curry Badshah: we learn the, we learn the quickest by making a mistake.
- 39:05Curry Badshah: You touch a hot plate, you realize don't touch the hot plate.
- 39:07Curry Badshah: Like, you learned a lesson immediately
- 39:09Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah.
- 39:10Pooja Bhatnagar: I love Sex and the City, so if I really think about every woman that represented a different expression of womanhood in Sex and the City they all flourish through many different things.
- 39:21Pooja Bhatnagar: They're all made for...
- 39:22Pooja Bhatnagar: They're all designed for different things, and this is their fate.
- 39:24Pooja Bhatnagar: Like Charlotte, what is...
- 39:25Pooja Bhatnagar: What Charlotte, I would say, through tradition.
- 39:28Pooja Bhatnagar: Maybe Samantha through freedom Through ambition, and Carrie through exploration.
- 39:32Pooja Bhatnagar: None of them were
- 39:32Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 39:33Pooja Bhatnagar: They're all, They're all...
- 39:33Pooja Bhatnagar: They were s- they were just simply different.
- 39:35Pooja Bhatnagar: And so human design, I would say, is, suggests something similar.
- 39:39Pooja Bhatnagar: There isn't one blueprint for being human.
- 39:41Pooja Bhatnagar: We're all we all look so different and so unique, and that's the best part about our design and people.
- 39:47Curry Badshah: Absolutely.
- 39:48Curry Badshah: I even had a whole moment of like even like Charlotte, she's rooted in tradition and she wanted the knight in shining armor, her Prince Charming and all this other stuff and she got that out of her first marriage.
- 39:58Curry Badshah: Technically she got the handsome like, you know, whatever her Connecticut vibe, upper East Side, whatever.
- 40:04Curry Badshah: She got the whole thing- and then didn't have a great marriage.
- 40:06Curry Badshah: 'Cause I just recently saw a clip her second marriage and or even falling in love with Harry like he's like the short, pudgy, like sweaty, bald guy that she was like People are questioning how like, you know, why you're with me or I, why I'm with you, like do, when people see us together.
- 40:24Curry Badshah: And- Yeah but at the end of the day she had to let go of that and be like,"I love him the way that he is because he like gives, like he's everything else that I wanted." Just because looks-wise he is not checking off all the boxes, at literally in every other way he does and I was like, we love it.
- 40:43Curry Badshah: We love the conti- the continued pearls of wisdom that Sex and the City doles out, but I also think it takes like maturity in life for you to pick up on those lessons from a s- from a show like this.
- 40:54Curry Badshah: I have, and then one more there's a thing that says or that Carrie says"It's a rule of life that everything you've always wanted comes the second you stop looking for it." That, and she constantly always believes that when you surrender not pursuit that's how the universe delivers.
- 41:09Curry Badshah: Now we talked, Pooja, about like being that type of person that it either you know, initiate or you get invited.
- 41:16Curry Badshah: So my question was going to be is there truth to this or is there something about us?
- 41:22Curry Badshah: But it already got answered in yeah, actually if you find out your human design there's a chance that like you might just be doing things wrong and instead of continuously pursue, either you do need to be in pursuit or you need to be the one pursued.
- 41:36Pooja Bhatnagar: Yeah, totally.
- 41:37Pooja Bhatnagar: The one pursuit, and there's other ones too.
- 41:39Pooja Bhatnagar: You can respond and, every energy type has something different.
- 41:43Pooja Bhatnagar: And
- 41:44Curry Badshah: you
- 41:44Pooja Bhatnagar: but at the same time, I still think we're here s- to surrender, right?
- 41:48Pooja Bhatnagar: Like in, in that like we have our way to our strategy
- 41:52Curry Badshah: Mm-hmm.
- 41:53Pooja Bhatnagar: do things, but then we also have so much open time, and like we have And not overthink during that time.
- 41:59Pooja Bhatnagar: So for you
- 42:00Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 42:00Pooja Bhatnagar: ignited,
- 42:01Curry Badshah: so yours has been done.
- 42:02Curry Badshah: You can't
- 42:02Pooja Bhatnagar: and if you're like thinking about it and"I need that person to come while I'm sitting here", let it go.
- 42:08Pooja Bhatnagar: Just
- 42:09Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 42:09Pooja Bhatnagar: You know?
- 42:10Pooja Bhatnagar: During that time,
- 42:12Julie Taparia: Yeah.
- 42:12Curry Badshah: It's so hard
- 42:13Pooja Bhatnagar: so you So it's like you have both.
- 42:15Pooja Bhatnagar: So you have that strategy, but you're also here to surrender.
- 42:19Pooja Bhatnagar: Because then if you're thinking of, you're thinking of the outcome, and you're thinking of"Oh my God, is this gonna happen?
- 42:24Pooja Bhatnagar: Is it Then is it gonna happen?" Like you're Let's just surrender, and it will happen
- 42:29Curry Badshah: Yeah.
- 42:29Curry Badshah: I think that's so hard for me is to, like, I know in some ways I'm like,"Okay, I'm gonna surrender and let, you know let the chips fall where they may." But yeah, I do have that sense where when I go I'm like, I'm hoping that, you know, even if I take my book, like I'm, I go and I grab a drink and I hope that someone's gonna talk to me.
- 42:47Curry Badshah: But I'm also like, but my worst case scenario is that I've gone and I've read three chapters of my book and had a great cocktail and I went home.
- 42:54Pooja Bhatnagar: That's
- 42:54Curry Badshah: Like, I'm like, that's my best worst case scenar- like worst case in the sense of like I didn't meet the guy but I had a nice little date to myself.
- 43:01Pooja Bhatnagar: Amazing.
- 43:02Curry Badshah: Okay.
- 43:02Julie Taparia: But another thing and I do wanna talk about that, is that what is...
- 43:06Julie Taparia: can see your dasha without even knowing your dasha.
- 43:09Julie Taparia: You can see your timing without knowing your timing.
- 43:11Julie Taparia: So it's actually your observation and your awareness of what is happening in the past three months.
- 43:18Julie Taparia: Are you working a lot?
- 43:19Julie Taparia: Are you doing small projects?
- 43:20Julie Taparia: Are you going on many dates?
- 43:22Julie Taparia: What is the theme of the last three months or six months?
- 43:24Julie Taparia: And that is your dasha.
- 43:26Julie Taparia: If you see an i- uptick in guys chasing after you or guys wanting to be with you, that's the time where it might be a relationship dasha.
- 43:37Julie Taparia: If you're going through a lot of small projects and writing and talking and communicating, it might be a time for making your personal brand.
- 43:46Julie Taparia: So there is, you know in your heart you don't have to pigeonhole yourself or you Like you have to be a certain person Know what is going on in your life during those events that are happening without even you realizing it.
- 43:59Curry Badshah: Yeah, I have noticed it's like
- 44:02Julie Taparia: that's kind
- 44:02Curry Badshah: of a sudden there's a little bit more attention on me and I'm like,"Oh, okay."
- 44:06Julie Taparia: Yeah, and it could grow.
- 44:07Julie Taparia: But that period, it...
- 44:08Julie Taparia: do you feel star- Are you starting to feel something?
- 44:11Julie Taparia: 'Cause a lot of people can always have guys in their life, but then they don't feel anything.
- 44:14Julie Taparia: It's not a Right?
- 44:15Julie Taparia: It's a marriage time period when they start feeling like,"Oh, this is intense for me and I feel this gut feeling about it." But they've had guys their whole entire life, but this is different, and that could be the signal.
- 44:24Curry Badshah: Yeah
- 44:26Julie Taparia: I'm just saying know yourself.
- 44:29Julie Taparia: You know yourself better than anyone else, so know your in- your interactions, your experiences, and map them out in a journal, and you can find out kind of what is your time period.
- 44:38Julie Taparia: I know it's weird, but it works,
- 44:39Curry Badshah: thank you both.
- 44:40Curry Badshah: I could talk, I could dive deeper and deeper into all of this with both of you.
- 44:44Curry Badshah: I'm definitely gonna get a painted analysis done because, like, now that we've had this conversation, it's, like, at the top of my mind, and I have so much that I'm gonna take home with me.
- 44:53Curry Badshah: I hope everyone else also learned a little something today.
- 44:56Curry Badshah: And I hope this is the podcast that you know, y'all are listening to and say,"Oh my God, maybe I will dive a little bit deeper.
- 45:02Curry Badshah: Maybe I will check out what my human design is.
- 45:04Curry Badshah: Maybe I will check out what my birth chart says.
- 45:07Curry Badshah: And maybe I will get a painted analysis." Maybe you're gonna, you're gonna say that to yourself as well.
- 45:11Curry Badshah: But thank you so much, Pooja and Julie, for taking the time here to chat with me about all of this.
- 45:17Julie Taparia: curious, wonderful young woman
- 45:19Pooja Bhatnagar: cute.
- 45:19Pooja Bhatnagar: Oh my God, yeah.
- 45:20Pooja Bhatnagar: You're amazing.
- 45:21Pooja Bhatnagar: You're
- 45:22Curry Badshah: thank you so much.
- 45:23Curry Badshah: That,
- 45:24Pooja Bhatnagar: loved it
- 45:24Curry Badshah: just here yapping about some shit that just in- interests me, and I hope...
- 45:30Curry Badshah: I'm like, I can't...
- 45:31Curry Badshah: No, no one is alone in their thoughts and preferences of stuff.
- 45:34Curry Badshah: So-
- 45:35Julie Taparia: yeah.
- 45:36Curry Badshah: yeah, so I'm like there's gonna be more people who are just as curious as me and wanna know how they can, tell aunties that like,"Hey, this is just...
- 45:44Curry Badshah: I am this way because of this reason, or this is my fate for this reason," and be able to give an answer.
- 45:49Curry Badshah: But again, thank you so much for being here.
- 45:52Curry Badshah: I, I hope everyone else also, like I said, has something to take away from this, and we'll catch you next time
- 46:03I don't know if you could tell, but I had so much fun talking about all of this.
- 46:07And when I was editing, I edited out about, like, 10 minutes, uh, or so of tangents, uh, that all this information took me in.
- 46:17Um, but I have not yet gotten a painted analysis because I have been informed that they are actually reworking their offerings.
- 46:26Uh, but if you are interested in diving deeper into human design, please follow Pooja Bhatnagar, um, Pooj Bhatnagar on Instagram and lifeofpooj on Tik- TikTok.
- 46:36She has a few different offerings like clarity sessions, practitioner blueprint, and Revel Place, which is to help connect folks with more practitioners.
- 46:45Julie is available via email and through theancientblueprint.com to get your Vedic chart read.
- 46:52I highly recommend her.
- 46:54I mentioned she read my chart, and it definitely feels less intimidating to go with her than some random uncle that your family would be using out in India because I've had my parents, like, trickle the message down to me, and I'm like,"I have follow-up questions to these." So it really does help to kinda just be able to put my questions to her and have her just, like, directly respond in a way that does not feel intimidating at all.
- 47:22If you continue to follow me, there will be some discount codes available, uh, for the painted profile once that gets set up.
- 47:32And all the information that I mentioned for Pooja and Julie will be available in the description of this episode.
- 47:39I hope you did enjoy that, and thanks again for listening, and I'll catch you on the next one.
