- 1:04Speaker 3: of the past. We will talk about this in this episode,
- 1:08Speaker 3: but first we have our trivia question of the day.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Are you ready for it? Here? It is what does
- 1:16Speaker 3: the word regret mean in its most basic sense? We

- 2:35Speaker 3: Welcome back. Do you know the answer to this week's
- 2:38Speaker 3: trivia question? The question was what does the word regret mean?
- 2:42Speaker 3: In its most basic sense, The answer is to feel
- 2:47Speaker 3: sorrow or disappointment over something that has happened, especially something
- 2:51Speaker 3: we wish had gone differently. Regret is the emotional response
- 2:55Speaker 3: we have when we look back and wish we had
- 2:57Speaker 3: made a different choice. It can be an natural feeling,
- 3:01Speaker 3: but if we hold on to it too long, it
- 3:04Speaker 3: can keep us stuck in the past. Learning from regret
- 3:07Speaker 3: can be healthy but living in it can prevent us
- 3:10Speaker 3: from moving forward. Now you know, letting go of yesterday's
- 3:19Speaker 3: mistakes is important because you cannot move forward well if
- 3:23Speaker 3: you are always looking backward. Mistakes can teach us, but
- 3:27Speaker 3: they were never meant to become permanent chains. When we
- 3:31Speaker 3: keep replaying past failures, we drain today of peace, confidence,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and hope. Growth begins when we accept that the past
- 3:39Speaker 3: cannot be changed, but the future can still be shaped.
- 3:43Speaker 3: One way to let go is to learn the lesson
- 3:46Speaker 3: and name it. Ask yourself what the mistake taught you.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Then carry the wisdom forward instead of the shame. A
- 3:53Speaker 3: second way is to practice self forgiveness. Speak to yourself
- 3:56Speaker 3: with honesty, but also with grace. Remember bring that everyone
- 4:00Speaker 3: falls short. Sometimes. A third way is to focus on
- 4:05Speaker 3: today's next right step. You do not have to fix
- 4:08Speaker 3: everything at once. You only need to choose one better thought,
- 4:12Speaker 3: one better action, and keep moving forward. As we close
- 4:27Speaker 3: out this week's episode, I'd like to leave you with
- 4:30Speaker 3: this final thought. Your past may have shaped you, but
- 4:33Speaker 3: it does not have to define you. Yesterday's mistakes can
- 4:37Speaker 3: become tomorrow's wisdom if you are willing to learn, grow,
- 4:41Speaker 3: and keep going. As c s Lewis said, you can't
- 4:44Speaker 3: go back and change the beginning, but you can start
- 4:47Speaker 3: where you are and change the ending. So until next time,
- 4:51Speaker 3: stay positive today and every day.
