- 0:29Speaker 2: He had to melt down for a minute and a
- 0:30Speaker 2: half asking me to take it off. Then the chicken
- 0:32Speaker 2: used the bathroom on his shoulder, and then you threw
- 0:35Speaker 2: it off, So you could have gotten it off yourself.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Don't blame me.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna blame you. Well, we didn't have to go
- 0:41Speaker 3: that route.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Get over it.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Bless you, but I'm still upset.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Okay, get over it. Good morning, Happy Friday. It's the

- 1:04Speaker 2: wife has kids, you better have a plan for this weekend.
- 1:06Speaker 2: If not, you better come up with one before you

- 1:28Speaker 2: the weekend? Good morning? It's what the hell headlines? What
- 1:33Speaker 2: the hell are you talking about? On the Alabama Show,
- 1:37Speaker 2: a lady thought that intruders were breaking into her home,
- 1:41Speaker 2: so she went to investigate, and instead she found two
- 1:44Speaker 2: alligators fighting.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Why.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I mean, we've all had that mix up.
- 1:48Speaker 2: No, no, we have not. This happened in Florida, obviously.
- 1:53Speaker 2: A woman thought that somebody was trying to break into
- 1:55Speaker 2: her house, so she got up to investigate the recas
- 1:57Speaker 2: it was two alligators fighting in the enclosed poor that
- 2:00Speaker 2: her kids play in. Listen to this.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I thought somebody was breaking in because I never thought
- 2:06Speaker 5: that the gators were going to enter my porch. Definitely,
- 2:08Speaker 5: it looked like they were fighting over territory or something.
- 2:11Speaker 5: It wasn't like a mating ritual that I had seen,
- 2:13Speaker 5: because there was blood and it had its some hind
- 2:15Speaker 5: quarters like in its jaws through the door. It was scary,
- 2:18Speaker 5: and I just warn everybody else in the neighborhood, like
- 2:21Speaker 5: watch your kids watch the dogs because it was.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It was fast.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Why the.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Super easy trivia with the Yella Mama.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Show producer Blake, Yes, come on down, okay of COVID.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's play super easy Trivia.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I'm in.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Also if you want to win these family four pack
- 2:39Speaker 2: of passes to Homestead Hollow called the show eight three
- 2:41Speaker 2: thirty five by One Bama producer Blake. Question number one,
- 2:44Speaker 2: what do caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies?
- 2:50Speaker 6: Yep?
- 2:51Speaker 2: What happens to Pinocchio's nose when he lies?
- 2:55Speaker 3: It gets so long?
- 2:57Speaker 2: He gries?
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah, is it not the great first?
- 3:01Speaker 2: I mean, it does get longer, but I needed though
- 3:03Speaker 2: it's growing. Why did it get long? It grew?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yeah because they lied.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Oh my god? What planet is known as the Red Planet?
- 3:13Speaker 3: Mars?
- 3:15Speaker 6: Good job, buddy, Yeah, congratulations, you're a winner.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Thank you. I'm cooking today.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Dutch Bros. Just open their first Birmingham metro area coffee
- 3:37Speaker 2: shop that everybody has been excited about because they have
- 3:39Speaker 2: this whole cult following. It's so good. It is now
- 3:42Speaker 2: open in Alabaster near Baptist Helt Shelby Hospital. So if
- 3:46Speaker 2: you've never tried Dutch Bros, it's an alabaster. I'd go
- 3:49Speaker 2: make a road trip. Trader Joe's just dropped their many
- 3:53Speaker 2: insulated toats for summer. These things sell out every year.
- 3:56Speaker 2: People fight over them. May twentieth is when they'll be
- 3:59Speaker 2: in store for three dollars and ninety nine cents each.
- 4:02Speaker 2: They have six designs this year. They kind of have
- 4:05Speaker 2: like a bright retro look to them. Some of them
- 4:07Speaker 2: have palm trees on them. They're really cool. Trader Joe's
- 4:10Speaker 2: is already warning that supplies are limited, which probably means
- 4:14Speaker 2: you're definitely going to see ladies fighting over these at
- 4:16Speaker 2: Trader Joe's. Mark May twentieth in your calendar. If you
- 4:20Speaker 2: bought an iPhone between June twenty twenty four in March
- 4:24Speaker 2: twenty five, so you that was not me, No, well,
- 4:27Speaker 2: then never mind. You could have gotten money back between
- 4:30Speaker 2: twenty five dollars and ninety five dollars because they promoted
- 4:34Speaker 2: AI functions that did not yet exist at the time.
- 4:37Speaker 2: The total lawsuit is for two hundred and fifty million
- 4:40Speaker 2: dollars and people are getting money. Apple has not admitted
- 4:43Speaker 2: any wrongdoing, of course not. But if you want to
- 4:47Speaker 2: get that money, if you are one of those people
- 4:49Speaker 2: who bought your iPhone between those dates, you'll have to
- 4:52Speaker 2: provide your phone serial number. That's three things you need
- 4:56Speaker 2: to know. More at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Listening to The Alabama Show on demand.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Good morning, Kelsey, what's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:05Speaker 4: So I kicked my mom out of my wedding.
- 5:09Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama. We do our best
- 5:11Speaker 2: to help if you ever have an issue, called the show.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Eight thirty thirty five O one BAMA is the number.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Why did you kick your mom out of your wedding?
- 5:18Speaker 2: What is going on?
- 5:19Speaker 4: I need to know if my mom were reacting because
- 5:21Speaker 4: everyone my family's made me feel like I'm crazy. Okay,
- 5:25Speaker 4: but I married my husband two weeks ago and my
- 5:28Speaker 4: mom I's had an issue with our marriage from day one.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I'm twenty one, he's twenty two, okay, and she keeps
- 5:34Speaker 4: just telling me we're too young, we're too young whatever.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Fast forward to the wedding. It's time for the speeches,
- 5:40Speaker 4: and she grabs the microphone and starts giving a speech
- 5:44Speaker 4: about how my husband isn't right for me. Oh, he
- 5:47Speaker 4: mistake and a few years, I'll come crawling back home crying,
- 5:51Speaker 4: Are you kidding me to take me back?
- 5:54Speaker 2: That was her speech into the microphone.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yeah, in front of everyone, friend's, family, workers, like literally everyone.
- 6:01Speaker 2: We knew, I know, what did everybody do?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Everyone was just like dead silent. My husband was just
- 6:08Speaker 4: like completely devastated.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So what'd you do?
- 6:11Speaker 4: Well? I just went up to my mom afterwards and
- 6:13Speaker 4: I told her say to leave and she was no
- 6:15Speaker 4: longer welcome at my wedding. And she started crying and
- 6:19Speaker 4: was like, I'm just trying to protect you. You're so ungrateful,
- 6:23Speaker 4: and I don't know. Since then, a lot of my
- 6:24Speaker 4: family's been texting me, telling me like I went too
- 6:27Speaker 4: far and I humiliated her. She has been speaking me
- 6:30Speaker 4: and some other family members are taking her.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Side, and Mom, okay, so your mom's not speaking to you,
- 6:37Speaker 2: and you said family members are telling you that you
- 6:41Speaker 2: went too far by asking your mom to leave your wedding.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yeah, like they're basically taking her side.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Call the show. Let's see if we can get some
- 6:48Speaker 2: advice for you. Have you ever had to kick a
- 6:49Speaker 2: family member out of your wedding and what did they do?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Eight three three five I one Bama is the number.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's eight three three five I one two two six two.
- 6:58Speaker 1: There's three things with the Alabama Shaw.
- 7:02Speaker 2: There's so many Mother's Day events going on in Alabama

- 7:09Speaker 2: Day tea. The Birmingham Museum of Art has a brunch.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Alabama Safari Park they're giving moms a free feedbucket for
- 7:17Speaker 2: all moms to feed the animals. Helena Hollow has a
- 7:20Speaker 2: Mother's Day rodeo. There's so much more. Go to Google

- 7:25Speaker 2: Ai Generator we'll tell you all this stuff going on
- 7:28Speaker 2: all over the state. The Presidential Physical Fitness Test is back.
- 7:33Speaker 2: That's the old school fitness test that phased out in
- 7:35Speaker 2: twenty thirteen for easier fitness test. Now it's come back
- 7:38Speaker 2: with part of the Make America Healthy Again push. It's
- 7:41Speaker 2: now mandatory at schools on US military basis, but officials
- 7:45Speaker 2: are encouraging public schools to bring it back to so
- 7:48Speaker 2: it may be back next year for all the schools.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Have you seen these Pokemon pop tarts?
- 7:54Speaker 3: You have no idea how many people have sent me this?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Are you a Pokemon player.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I'm not. I don't know why. Thank you getting them.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They're the whole thing right now. It's Pokemon theme pop tarts.
- 8:03Speaker 2: They cost three dollars at Target. People are buying them
- 8:06Speaker 2: all out and selling them for twenty five dollars a box.
- 8:12Speaker 2: They're like they're and they're stealing in store Pokemon displays
- 8:16Speaker 2: and selling them too. So now there's shortages and stores
- 8:19Speaker 2: nationwide because people are freaking crazy.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Ever Pokemon people gotta chill with this man.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But I made as So if you can buy something
- 8:27Speaker 2: for three dollars and sell it for twenty five, that's
- 8:29Speaker 2: like one thousand percent profit.

- 8:33Speaker 4: I know.

- 9:33Speaker 2: I don't want to do farm life anymore.
- 9:35Speaker 3: What happened on the phone?
- 9:36Speaker 2: I quit? Literally, I've given all my animals away today.
- 9:40Speaker 2: If anybody is listening and you want some peacocks, ten
- 9:43Speaker 2: of them?
- 9:45Speaker 3: What did they do?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 9:49Speaker 2: producer Blake.
- 9:49Speaker 3: That's me.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I bought a house with some land a few years ago.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I decided I was going to raise some farm animals somehow.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Now I'm at four dogs, four cats, fifty chickens and
- 9:59Speaker 2: ten peacocks.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 2: This started with two chickens and two dogs, and I
- 10:03Speaker 2: was it. I don't know how we got here.
- 10:05Speaker 7: I do.
- 10:07Speaker 2: You can't stop my neighbors complaining about the peacocks getting
- 10:10Speaker 2: on his ruth. You've heard me complain about him. They
- 10:12Speaker 2: keep making all the what's happening Facebook groups. Yesterday I
- 10:17Speaker 2: get a call from a lady who lives a mile
- 10:19Speaker 2: away from my house. Yeah, I gave her my number
- 10:23Speaker 2: because my peacock's runnering yard a few months ago. Okay,
- 10:27Speaker 2: I live off of a highway, Like I'm a mile
- 10:30Speaker 2: away from you wouldn't think that my peacocks will get
- 10:33Speaker 2: to the highway. You know what highway I'm talking about.
- 10:35Speaker 2: You've been to my house. It's a two lane highway,
- 10:37Speaker 2: but people will still drive like seventy miles an I
- 10:39Speaker 2: wear on this highway.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:41Speaker 2: The lady calls me yesterday, Hey, are you at home? No?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Why your peacocks standing in the middle of the highway
- 10:51Speaker 2: with his feathers up, dancing for nothing, And there's a
- 10:54Speaker 2: traffic jam and all these cars are stopped and they're
- 10:57Speaker 2: all running around the middle of the highway trying to
- 10:59Speaker 2: catch them. No, lady, I'm at Alta. I was thirty
- 11:05Speaker 2: minutes away at Alta trying to get eyeshadow for this bird. Gala.
- 11:08Speaker 2: We're going to tonight. I had to call my neighbor
- 11:12Speaker 2: and say, hey, can you drive down a mile down
- 11:16Speaker 2: the road and see if my peacock's in the middle
- 11:18Speaker 2: of the highway and get them out.
- 11:20Speaker 3: You've got to get a handle on these birds.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That other lady was like, I'm in my yard playing
- 11:25Speaker 2: peacocks sounds from my phone, and eventually he went to
- 11:28Speaker 2: her house. I don't know, I do I quit, I'm
- 11:33Speaker 2: over it. I had no idea what I was doing
- 11:35Speaker 2: when I got peacocks. Last year, I got two for
- 11:37Speaker 2: my birthday. I inherited a bunch more. Now I'm at ten.
- 11:41Speaker 2: It's mating season. They fly like they fly to the
- 11:44Speaker 2: top of a roof. I can't catch it. I don't
- 11:47Speaker 2: know how I'm gonna catch it, and how am I
- 11:49Speaker 2: gonna catch all ten? And they just disperse. They have
- 11:52Speaker 2: like a two mile radius where they go everywhere and
- 11:54Speaker 2: go in. Half of my neighborhood throws food in their
- 11:57Speaker 2: yard for them, and the other half is like, can
- 11:59Speaker 2: you get your peak out of my yard. I don't
- 12:01Speaker 2: know what to do. I don't want any fort more
- 12:04Speaker 2: farm animals. This is stupid, it's not peaceful. It sucks.
- 12:08Speaker 3: You're telling me you finally hit the conclusion that you
- 12:11Speaker 3: need to stop getting in on.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I've hit my breaking point. I'm done. I'll probably have
- 12:14Speaker 2: a goat next week. I don't care.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It sounds like you're gonna have the law at your
- 12:18Speaker 3: house animal control.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I posted a video about this on TikTok. It went viral,
- 12:24Speaker 2: and then all these people started commenting about their pets.
- 12:26Speaker 2: One lady said, I have a dog that gets out
- 12:29Speaker 2: and goes to the neighborhood bar and sits at the
- 12:31Speaker 2: bar and they give it snag.
- 12:32Speaker 3: That's okay, that's kind of cool, though, I.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Know if you have a pet that likes to roam
- 12:38Speaker 2: and it is the bane of your existence. Called the show.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Eight three three eight five oh one Bama is the
- 12:44Speaker 2: number you were.

- 12:51Speaker 2: week on the Alabama Show.
- 12:53Speaker 3: This is the greatest blessing. I think that I've been
- 12:55Speaker 3: gifted with another day.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Producer Blake said, I'm going to take maternity leave.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It's not an option.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have that option, buddy. Hey, we're done.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Have a great weekend, Happy Mother's Day. If your mom
- 13:07Speaker 2: listening to the show, we appreciate you. For what you
