- 2:34Speaker 3: What does it mean?
- 2:36Speaker 6: It's like it's like a it's like an action word.
- 2:37Speaker 6: It can mean police person, thing, it's a it's a
- 2:39Speaker 6: variety so that it's not necessarily disrespectful. No, not necessarily.
- 2:43Speaker 6: But I'm just saying at this moment, bumba Russ, Okay,
- 2:45Speaker 6: you got it crazy whatever you said?

- 3:26Speaker 4: and shoes, which I'll like to hear from me because
- 3:28Speaker 4: I definitely said my father is from Guyana and my
- 3:32Speaker 4: stepfather was from Trinidad. My stepfather was from Trinidad. Step
- 3:39Speaker 4: because I was raised I didn't say, did I say
- 3:45Speaker 4: I was.
- 3:45Speaker 3: From from this? She said that she but she represents
- 3:48Speaker 3: her stepfather because he was in her life.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Thank you, because his influences.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Culture influence is important.
- 3:53Speaker 2: She's Italian and Trinidadian.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Yeah, she's actually too much. But I can see the
- 3:57Speaker 6: Trinny in her.
- 3:58Speaker 2: How are you gonna see that? You can't see the
- 4:00Speaker 2: trendy of my sister?
- 4:00Speaker 4: You are black a little bit while you did all
- 4:03Speaker 4: that my little Spanish.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Uh. Cultural influence is important. So why lead more with
- 4:09Speaker 3: the Jamaica's Speaking of culture influence, how did y'all how
- 4:13Speaker 3: was your weekend?
- 4:14Speaker 2: What weekends?
- 4:17Speaker 7: Today's Monday? Today's Monday?
- 4:21Speaker 2: It was saturday?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yea, what did you do?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Side of my house?
- 4:25Speaker 3: I love you for that?
- 4:26Speaker 2: What did you do?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Party? And the party? Party from where? Where?
- 4:30Speaker 6: Me?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Where am I from? I'm from Brooklyn?
- 4:31Speaker 6: But you could pay the party was paid, The party
- 4:33Speaker 6: paid the party, Uh something like that, hosting, hosting a
- 4:36Speaker 6: boat ride? So was it was outside a little bit
- 4:38Speaker 6: on Son. You celebrating, celebrating, celebrating July fourth? You know America? Yeah,
- 4:44Speaker 6: I see where he was trying to go with that.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I was trying. I was trying to curve it away,
- 4:46Speaker 3: but I see what he was taking, was trying to
- 4:48Speaker 3: take it. Just you know, a little confused.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Even go get cruise feral into that cleanup clean from
- 4:55Speaker 6: projects from none of them fa from so Yes, celebrating
- 5:02Speaker 6: Americas outside, celebrating America's independent and drink everything this way.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I want this, That's what you wanted to hear.
- 5:10Speaker 6: I got you, got what I want threeteen, I got
- 5:14Speaker 6: you hours is traum? What'd you do this weekend to
- 5:22Speaker 6: party July fourth? Actually celebrated? Because I seen you like
- 5:26Speaker 6: what I said? I seen you like what I said
- 5:28Speaker 6: I'm wondering. It was my friend's birthday party, birthday fourth. Okay,
- 5:32Speaker 6: I respect that you tried. Why would your weekend bathroom
- 5:36Speaker 6: h I clean my bathroom the entire weekend, the entire
- 5:39Speaker 6: fourth is thely weekend.
- 5:40Speaker 3: That well, my ship was a mess. Okay, to clean
- 5:42Speaker 3: my room too, I'm mopped. Okay, you didn't do any
- 5:46Speaker 3: of us former celebrated.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So you did so. You did so.
- 5:49Speaker 4: You did service only.
- 5:53Speaker 3: That's what we was. That's what to the to pay homage.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Y'all seen my video all my life paid homage.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I hear you, bro, that's crazy. Y'all seen the video
- 6:13Speaker 3: I made.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Obviously, we all saw the damn video. I was questioning
- 6:17Speaker 6: why Black Americans celebrate July fourth, the Independence day of
- 6:25Speaker 6: the masters.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I liked it. Cultural programming. Cultural programming. What does that mean?
- 6:32Speaker 6: I mean they get they get Independence Day sales, Independence
- 6:35Speaker 6: Day is working.
- 6:36Speaker 3: But do you get this?
- 6:37Speaker 6: So it's cultural programming. They they drained your mind from
- 6:41Speaker 6: what the reality of independence, you know is give you
- 6:44Speaker 6: some discounts to make you feel like it's something to celebrate.
- 6:47Speaker 5: I would add to that a lot of us are
- 6:49Speaker 5: born from immigrant parents, and they came here to assimilate.
- 6:53Speaker 5: So they absorbed a lot of American culture without necessarily
- 6:57Speaker 5: questioning the origins and things of.
- 6:59Speaker 6: That understanding of it. We grew up, as you know,
- 7:03Speaker 6: the youth absorbing it too. It's time to play with
- 7:05Speaker 6: fire cracks like immigrants. So they come with like it's
- 7:08Speaker 6: the land of the free because of where they're from.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Its accents is frying. Stop this, I have to stop.
- 7:15Speaker 3: It's the end of the free anything. You can do
- 7:18Speaker 3: anything in America.
- 7:19Speaker 6: So I understand immigrants because where they're from is completely
- 7:23Speaker 6: different than they come here for an opportunity, and it's
- 7:25Speaker 6: ten times where they're from, it's ten times. So I
- 7:27Speaker 6: understand that. But it's Black Americans who were here and
- 7:30Speaker 6: really was still enslaves in the back. These motherfuckers, it's
- 7:36Speaker 6: celebrating their freedom. You're in the back, your chains, it's
- 7:38Speaker 6: cutting through your ankles. This is.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Your children, your grandchildren, is celebrating your masses.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Know that this is what this is what I will say.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I will say that we don't want to take it
- 7:55Speaker 4: too far because of your decades. How many of those
- 8:00Speaker 4: decades where you celebrate in fourth of July up until
- 8:03Speaker 4: you learned more about your history and about your past,
- 8:07Speaker 4: so you can't crucify people that are not quite there yet.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Absolutely so I don't want I don't want to do that.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I think I don't think it's anything wrong with At
- 8:16Speaker 4: the end of the day, what was it Saturday? It's
- 8:19Speaker 4: a Saturday. That's an excuse alone to party, to do
- 8:22Speaker 4: whatever you want to do. It was nice outside this
- 8:24Speaker 4: excuse alone to cook out. Like it doesn't really matter.
- 8:27Speaker 4: You celebrate however you want to celebrate. You don't celebrate
- 8:29Speaker 4: how you don't want to celebrate.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I don't.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Same time we talk about that's for the young bucks.
- 8:37Speaker 3: That's not for me. I'm too old.
- 8:38Speaker 6: You You the last person I'm thinking about when it
- 8:41Speaker 6: comes to any protesting, any type of anything. You ain't
- 8:44Speaker 6: with nothing. Why sign up for it today? I didn't
- 8:47Speaker 6: sign up for this.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I just want you to see, like I just want
- 8:51Speaker 4: you to tell you. I want you to see how
- 8:53Speaker 4: because see, you have a perception. This is my daily experience,
- 8:56Speaker 4: because there's a perception of me on the internet like,
- 8:58Speaker 4: oh my god, she always just be spassing on you, right,
- 9:00Speaker 4: But I didn't I get that starting about the third
- 9:04Speaker 4: one end, that's when I starting there's a catalystic.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Some sort of there's the cat.
- 9:08Speaker 6: She's rating the hell out of everybody, and then.
- 9:13Speaker 4: When I come on it, ultimately, what's this clip?
- 9:15Speaker 2: They're like, damn, So she always.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Yells because I be looking at the clips and I'll
- 9:18Speaker 6: be like, you know, she just tear everybody has.
- 9:20Speaker 3: But then I see that nice. I get it now,
- 9:24Speaker 3: I did it.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I was just trying to. I was just trying to
- 9:27Speaker 2: sing it and like like help the other people that
- 9:29Speaker 2: was celebrating. And this nigga said, I don't stand if.
- 9:31Speaker 3: You and for nothing, you fall for anything.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Now who said it?
- 9:35Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I just said, I'm talking about respect, his honesty.
- 9:45Speaker 4: You're trying to use it against me that he don't
- 9:47Speaker 4: even know what Jealous said it.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Nigga.
- 9:49Speaker 4: First of all, I used to go to your four
- 9:52Speaker 4: for July barbecue. He don't know nothing out that might
- 9:57Speaker 4: have barbecue guilty not grilling now all of us that
- 10:02Speaker 4: might happen now all of a sudden, everybody.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Point barb point.
- 10:08Speaker 6: But no, I never I probably celebrated last year, but
- 10:13Speaker 6: I stand for nothing because I'm telling you nothing.
- 10:16Speaker 3: The question I was in my house lift why do
- 10:19Speaker 3: we do it? Who's we people? As people?
- 10:22Speaker 6: Why do we celebrate the master's independence. When they denied
- 10:27Speaker 6: our freedom for another hundred years, just just on paper,
- 10:31Speaker 6: let alone. Whatever happened after that, another one hundred year
- 10:34Speaker 6: whole next, great grandfather's whole lifetime, they denied.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Him, we've said, they rode it into the paper, the parchment.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Yeah, them them, they only three fifths. They take two
- 10:45Speaker 6: of them to equal one of us, and we still
- 10:49Speaker 6: jumping and hooting the U. You think we could light
- 10:52Speaker 6: fireworks on Juneteenth? You think we could do all the
- 10:56Speaker 6: fuckery outside? You think they want us celebrating freedom?
- 10:59Speaker 3: They do.
- 11:01Speaker 2: The accent is crazy, but they just they literally.
- 11:07Speaker 4: They just adopted you on teams as a national holiday
- 11:10Speaker 4: less than maybe less than five years.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Trump taking it back. He's doing his best. He can't
- 11:15Speaker 6: because of Congress.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I read on it.
- 11:17Speaker 6: He can't because of Congress. He taking it with still
- 11:21Speaker 6: open parks, you can. He's doing what he can. He's like,
- 11:24Speaker 6: what can I do? You know he took Martin Luther
- 11:26Speaker 6: king birthday, make it, make that not a real holiday.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Martin Luther King, what was you thinking? Like?
- 11:33Speaker 8: What was you?
- 11:34Speaker 3: What did he do to you?
- 11:36Speaker 2: That's Mary and Negato, that's her guy.
- 11:38Speaker 6: But we celebrating their freedom, and let's be clear, it's
- 11:43Speaker 6: their freedom. It wasn't ours. It was them getting freedom
- 11:47Speaker 6: from Great Britain. It was them saying, hey, we are
- 11:49Speaker 6: no longer property, we are no longer owned by our
- 11:52Speaker 6: sovereign nation.
- 11:54Speaker 3: We our own people, almost the same way as Haiti
- 11:57Speaker 3: did from friends.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Am I right? We we know y'all can't fuck with
- 12:01Speaker 6: us no more? We on our own right.
- 12:03Speaker 3: But they had us in the back.
- 12:05Speaker 6: But what happened is right, You fast forward two hundred
- 12:08Speaker 6: years and they'd be like, yo, Macy's got to sell
- 12:11Speaker 6: for the July. You want to want to fight and
- 12:13Speaker 6: change or you want to go get take part of
- 12:15Speaker 6: As Mouse would say, I'm surviving the system, So I
- 12:19Speaker 6: would it not take advantage of it?
- 12:21Speaker 3: They will?
- 12:21Speaker 6: You got people, You got people that are in a position.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Now we're like, what am I gonna bit over this
- 12:24Speaker 6: the past tw hundred years? I'm gona take this Macy
- 12:26Speaker 6: seal like it's cultural. We've been programming, desensitized to a
- 12:29Speaker 6: lot of things. And when we celebrate, we celebrate our
- 12:31Speaker 6: own impression. We celebrate ours literally celebrated on the pressure.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I agree with you, Charles, but you could argue that
- 12:38Speaker 5: black people helped contribute to America. Build America, it makes
- 12:44Speaker 5: what it is.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Laid the skin off your backs. Nobody, no black person
- 12:48Speaker 6: was like, yo, let's go build this over here. They
- 12:50Speaker 6: was like, get over there, get over there. They cut
- 12:54Speaker 6: your nuts, salt, feed them to your put them in
- 12:56Speaker 6: your mind, and he's talking, he's talking. They did all
- 12:59Speaker 6: types of to make you listen. I wasn't respect what
- 13:03Speaker 6: we went through in order to do it. Let's not
- 13:05Speaker 6: act like it was a choice. They literally flayed the
- 13:10Speaker 6: skin off your backs.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Right BC. Now what happened post slavery.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Let's say you got you working for a huge company
- 13:19Speaker 5: and you don't own the company, you don't even own shares,
- 13:21Speaker 5: but you contributed your contribute to the company's success. You know,
- 13:27Speaker 5: you celebrate the winds because you participated in the winds.
- 13:30Speaker 5: You help get the victories. So it's like, you know,
- 13:33Speaker 5: you feel like you're part of the company. If a
- 13:36Speaker 5: niggas stolen you just.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Don't own it and invested into this company, do you
- 13:39Speaker 6: fally celebrate the company for nis and you get nothing
- 13:43Speaker 6: from it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: They ain't give you no reparations. You didn't get no
- 13:46Speaker 3: forty acres and no mule, no nothing.
- 13:48Speaker 6: To this day, they still trying to take back this
- 13:50Speaker 6: little shit that you worked mad hard for.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Did your people die for? Matt Bell?
- 13:54Speaker 6: Please jump into whatever you want I was allowed to
- 13:57Speaker 6: give im about to give example like if deebo if
- 13:59Speaker 6: Diebe came right and he's like, yo, we can we
- 14:03Speaker 6: can bitch your momma, how beat you up? Or we
- 14:04Speaker 6: can go get some barbecue. What you want to do?
- 14:08Speaker 6: Get the barbecue? I mean I mean some chicken like
- 14:10Speaker 6: and that's literally what what has happened? Like we've been
- 14:12Speaker 6: you know, it was like you want to bitch your
- 14:14Speaker 6: moan about about Slavia or you want to take this
- 14:16Speaker 6: okay with the barbecuing.
- 14:17Speaker 3: But like I feel on like the fireworks and ship,
- 14:20Speaker 3: I think it's a little O.
- 14:21Speaker 6: D really shirt Liz was wearing the USA. She you
- 14:27Speaker 6: had a U s A shirt. She was dancing this ship.
- 14:31Speaker 6: She said, I wasn't celebrated. I just like to dance
- 14:34Speaker 6: in the USA shirt. You got a pictures of it
- 14:36Speaker 6: with the shirt. Look like you've seen it. Let me see.
- 14:39Speaker 6: I want to see. Let me see. I want to see
- 14:42Speaker 6: Trump shot whining in the USA shirt. He was whining
- 14:44Speaker 6: or just list o sorry so a little so sorry,
- 14:49Speaker 6: let me.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yes, And she was.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Like, I was in my house on my couch talking
- 14:56Speaker 4: about that friend Drake and Margaritas.
- 14:57Speaker 6: All right, dogh let me ask you a question?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Real ship? She okay, okay, full us, I see.
- 15:02Speaker 6: Full said, I'm not celebrating. I wasn't celebrating. I was
- 15:06Speaker 6: just hanging out with my friends. That's the celebration is
- 15:11Speaker 6: to me, a little celebrated time.
- 15:13Speaker 3: It's to me.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Reserved questions, right, if I wanted to, if I wanted
- 15:17Speaker 6: to know. I know I've accused you of not being
- 15:21Speaker 6: the front liner. I apologize, just trying to prove a point.
- 15:27Speaker 6: But if I was to ask you, right, if I
- 15:30Speaker 6: feel so much of a way, mal please try and
- 15:32Speaker 6: please yesterday, please yesterday?
- 15:33Speaker 3: How you feeling today? I just found out you're from
- 15:36Speaker 3: North Carolina? Yeah, you know, I foind out things every day.
- 15:39Speaker 7: Brother.
- 15:39Speaker 6: I think nobody can actually be from North Carolina. That's
- 15:41Speaker 6: another conversation. He's an attacking.
- 15:46Speaker 9: It's it's never been me just appeared in North Carolina.
- 15:57Speaker 6: That's it. Where your family from North Carolina?
- 16:01Speaker 3: How? All right?
- 16:03Speaker 6: Anyway, Yesterday, I love you know that I love it.
- 16:09Speaker 6: In today's world twenty twenty six, if I wanted to
- 16:13Speaker 6: if I wanted to protest July fourth, what would I do?
- 16:20Speaker 6: How could I make it a thing right? How could
- 16:22Speaker 6: I make American feeling? Because it's more about the fact
- 16:25Speaker 6: that the government. To me, the reason not this this
- 16:28Speaker 6: bothered me is because of the situation in the White
- 16:30Speaker 6: House today. That's more my problem. The fact that the
- 16:34Speaker 6: Confederate flags. You've always had a problem with this, the
- 16:40Speaker 6: capital I hate. On the day we were we were freed,
- 16:47Speaker 6: proclaim freedom, the Confederate flag, the trees in the States.
- 16:52Speaker 4: You know, they they was carrying flags of the American
- 16:54Speaker 4: flag upside down, So technically that's treeson too.
- 16:56Speaker 3: That's treason. They a't gonna do. That's man down, that's
- 17:00Speaker 3: entry down. That's we've taken it over. They're gonna let
- 17:02Speaker 3: them rock though. They're going it's okay, you can't do it.
- 17:05Speaker 3: It's actually a law, right, but they're not gonna get
- 17:08Speaker 3: in trouble for it.
- 17:10Speaker 6: And they're walking through this the capital again. Question, So
- 17:15Speaker 6: tell your question lies, right, what could you do to protest?
- 17:19Speaker 3: Like, really, what would what would.
- 17:20Speaker 6: As the individually as an individually, as an individuals or
- 17:25Speaker 6: people who felt a way about the mistreatment of marginalized
- 17:29Speaker 6: communities and what it stands for?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Freedom? Life? What is it?
- 17:33Speaker 6: Liberty, justice, flight, celebrity, happiness if you ask my opinion, right,
- 17:38Speaker 6: forget our generation we're talking about just yms, just used
- 17:43Speaker 6: y ms. If Kay Sanod, if Todd Lil If all
- 17:47Speaker 6: these streamers I mean got on there and say yo,
- 17:50Speaker 6: we're protesting this from this point on, everybody would follow,
- 17:55Speaker 6: literally all the all the young kids that have followed
- 17:57Speaker 6: them would literally be like.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you're damn right, you know what I mean.
- 18:01Speaker 6: So's it's about like using that space to do that
- 18:04Speaker 6: that like that. I just I'm just using that that
- 18:08Speaker 6: subcategory of individuals, right, I'm not doing them as an
- 18:12Speaker 6: example to say, like if the people that have the
- 18:14Speaker 6: voice of the ability or the power the power to
- 18:17Speaker 6: conform thought, because some of us are just where we
- 18:21Speaker 6: follow the we follow the point.
- 18:23Speaker 3: I can't think of anybody from the Wayian generation that's
- 18:27Speaker 3: revolutionary that has a platform. They give those and they
- 18:30Speaker 3: know they're not going to they're going to keep the
- 18:32Speaker 3: people dowmb to.
- 18:32Speaker 5: We grew up on public enemy and ship like that,
- 18:34Speaker 5: like where's this generation's now?
- 18:38Speaker 6: The generations platform is given ice spice and so I mean,
- 18:42Speaker 6: that's supposed to be, by the way, no respect, but
- 18:47Speaker 6: I think.
- 18:48Speaker 4: That, yeah, that's right, grat I don't know, I think
- 18:53Speaker 4: that black people, I don't think this is our fight,
- 18:58Speaker 4: and I don't think that we need to to be
- 19:00Speaker 4: silently or abruptly protesting anything, because we are consistently on
- 19:06Speaker 4: the front lines, in the forefront of all of the things,
- 19:08Speaker 4: all of the revolutionary things that have happened in this country.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I don't think this is our fight. I think white.
- 19:14Speaker 4: People need to go talk to other white people about
- 19:16Speaker 4: why they being disrespectful to their country. And I think
- 19:19Speaker 4: that Juneteenth belongs to us just the same way that
- 19:22Speaker 4: like Black History Month belongs to us, like the same
- 19:24Speaker 4: way Women's History Month belongs to women, in the same
- 19:27Speaker 4: like we all have our sub sects of things. I
- 19:29Speaker 4: don't think it's our responsibility, and I really don't want
- 19:32Speaker 4: to see black people in mass doing anything against the country.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Because why, like, what is the why of it?
- 19:40Speaker 3: I agree, you agree, let the patriotic white people fight
- 19:45Speaker 3: with the Confederate flag, white people and have that ye
- 19:49Speaker 3: stay out of the white people's business.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I mean, I'm big on staying out of white people business.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I didn't even say nothing about them. About the white people,
- 19:56Speaker 4: that was more. I didn't say a word because I
- 19:58Speaker 4: don't like I'm staying out of white people business.
- 20:00Speaker 2: At this big age of mine, y'all could do what
- 20:02Speaker 2: y'all want to do.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Belove it.
- 20:03Speaker 6: When when I when that white lady got shot in
- 20:05Speaker 6: Minnesota the other day and we're doing with the time,
- 20:08Speaker 6: and then all the white we started protesting that black
- 20:10Speaker 6: people like, we go sit this one out because we've
- 20:11Speaker 6: been trying to I've been trying to tell you for
- 20:13Speaker 6: a little while, you know me. So here's what I'm
- 20:14Speaker 6: gonna do. I'm gonna just sit home. And it's worse
- 20:16Speaker 6: than that. It's them taking the d I. It's the books,
- 20:22Speaker 6: the black history out of the schools. It's them taking
- 20:26Speaker 6: down monuments or basically saying that we cannot have black history.
- 20:32Speaker 3: They're taking black history from us.
- 20:33Speaker 6: But that also is to subdue us from our kids
- 20:37Speaker 6: and the kids that are coming, to subdue them from
- 20:38Speaker 6: knowing what the real history is. If I take this
- 20:41Speaker 6: away from you to give your iPhones seventeen and say
- 20:43Speaker 6: you get our iPhone seventeen or read this book about
- 20:45Speaker 6: so they read which when you gonna take eleven years old, right,
- 20:48Speaker 6: But that's why that's also so it's about the Confederacy
- 20:51Speaker 6: ship and what's happening in the government, but it's also
- 20:54Speaker 6: about them trying to strip our identity from us.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I don't know if that's necessarily the case, because I
- 21:01Speaker 4: think it's bigger than that, right, because like thinking about
- 21:04Speaker 4: myself growing up, I did not learn a lot about
- 21:09Speaker 4: black history from school or from the curriculum in school.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I learned it from home. I learned it from those
- 21:17Speaker 4: teachers that decided after they were done with curriculum that
- 21:20Speaker 4: they wanted to give us the real They wanted to
- 21:22Speaker 4: tell us more and teach us more and give us
- 21:24Speaker 4: things to read and stuff like that. I learned it
- 21:26Speaker 4: from taking extra courses in college. Like this is how
- 21:29Speaker 4: I learned a lot of the information that I know.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I learned it from even I'm still learning from just
- 21:35Speaker 4: looking at certain things on like Instagram and TikTok and
- 21:38Speaker 4: they recommended certain books to read, so that I'm going
- 21:40Speaker 4: to go out and buy those books. And then like,
- 21:42Speaker 4: these are the things that we have to do just
- 21:45Speaker 4: to make sure that we preserve our history with our children.
- 21:48Speaker 4: But then there's a subsect of black people that still
- 21:51Speaker 4: don't know our full history, that are still shocked in
- 21:54Speaker 4: a poll, that have no idea what's going on because
- 21:56Speaker 4: nobody taught them either. So it's like it's bigger than
- 22:00Speaker 4: and thinking about all of the things that they're taking
- 22:02Speaker 4: away from us. They always said, like the one way
- 22:04Speaker 4: to hide something from a black person is to put
- 22:06Speaker 4: it in a book.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Niggas is not reading.
- 22:08Speaker 4: We're reading at an all time like Loo at the end
- 22:12Speaker 4: of the day is bigger than that, Like they could
- 22:14Speaker 4: take everything in the world away or it could all
- 22:16Speaker 4: be there, Like niggas is not in droves taking eight
- 22:18Speaker 4: kids to the African American Museum or making them rebooks.
- 22:21Speaker 6: So why not use a moment like that that is
- 22:25Speaker 6: highly heralded to say to make a stance and say, yo,
- 22:28Speaker 6: ours is junetee, we were still slaves this day.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Why not use that in mass.
- 22:33Speaker 2: But we do. We've started.
- 22:34Speaker 6: It's not celebrating that the country's independence and saying no,
- 22:39Speaker 6: you were actually still a slave. That's for them. They've
- 22:42Speaker 6: made it clear that's theirs, this is ours one hundred
- 22:47Speaker 6: years later. That's a stance to make. That's something to
- 22:49Speaker 6: really like think about. It would take a reshaping of
- 22:51Speaker 6: a whole culture, our culture, isn't that what we need?
- 22:56Speaker 6: And then that's again it'll send back to the comment
- 22:58Speaker 6: that I made about somebody like man, that's gonna be
- 23:01Speaker 6: Inky Stadium right using that I got it, I don't.
- 23:05Speaker 6: I don't want to say I don't want to say it.
- 23:06Speaker 6: I want to say so I'm not trying to get sand.
- 23:09Speaker 6: It goes back to that if that person came out
- 23:12Speaker 6: and said, you know what, come July fourth, being everything,
- 23:20Speaker 6: not celebrating like that, you are you gonna be like
- 23:24Speaker 6: yo jay Z said, we ain't outside blocked being outside,
- 23:28Speaker 6: it would it wouldn't be that actually would it would
- 23:31Speaker 6: Beyonce came out and said, nobody move on on July fourth, Well,
- 23:35Speaker 6: Dodge d that's everything. Everything will If all these people
- 23:39Speaker 6: use their ability and their platform, the power that they've
- 23:41Speaker 6: been given for whatever their skill set is, and said
- 23:43Speaker 6: collectively were not staying for, were not celebrating none of
- 23:47Speaker 6: this no more, it shifts the whole tup because everybody
- 23:49Speaker 6: following them and looking at them, whatever they say, we're
- 23:50Speaker 6: gonna do whatever heir stops people thought we're gonna wear
- 23:52Speaker 6: and whatever jay Z puts that we're.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Gonna buy So those people now did that right? Not
- 23:56Speaker 3: just them, I don't. I use them as an obvious example.
- 23:59Speaker 6: What I'm just saying are people that have the platform
- 24:02Speaker 6: and the ability on the hold if they came out
- 24:03Speaker 6: and said, hey, we need to stand for this, everybody
- 24:07Speaker 6: will now follow that lead.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Yeah he's cooking because I feel like, I mean, jay
- 24:11Speaker 7: Z did have the power to tell the NFL to
- 24:14Speaker 7: stop kneeling. So if you have the power to do that,
- 24:16Speaker 7: then you have the power to do other things as well.
- 24:18Speaker 7: So I feel like it works both ways.
- 24:21Speaker 6: I get I get it, disagree why I hear it?
- 24:24Speaker 2: I want to know, No, it's fine, just.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I want to know. I want to know. I want
- 24:29Speaker 3: to know what your thought is.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I just like I said to you before, like I
- 24:34Speaker 4: don't need somebody else to tell me what to do
- 24:37Speaker 4: and what not to do.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Y'all waiting for jay Z and Beyonce stand up?
- 24:41Speaker 4: But you can just go put that ship in your
- 24:44Speaker 4: group chat and tell your family and tell your friends.
- 24:46Speaker 4: And this is why, like you could have a bigger
- 24:48Speaker 4: impact by actually talking to the people that you care
- 24:51Speaker 4: about and explaining why you don't want to do this
- 24:54Speaker 4: thing anymore. Then waiting from a grandiose gesture from a.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Stranger, waiting right.
- 24:59Speaker 6: Yes, I can put that in my group chat and
- 25:01Speaker 6: have my family and reach out to everybody in my
- 25:02Speaker 6: family and friends, group and jazz. You can make a
- 25:06Speaker 6: post and one hundred million people will see it in
- 25:08Speaker 6: a matter of five seconds.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Jay Z don't even make posts, but you understand.
- 25:11Speaker 3: The point I'm trying to make it.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Jay Z can make a post and within five seconds
- 25:15Speaker 6: the NFL boycott. Within five seconds, one hundred million people
- 25:20Speaker 6: or more on this planet will be watching that and
- 25:22Speaker 6: instantly move. At least thirty to fifty percent of them
- 25:24Speaker 6: will be moved by what he says and will follow
- 25:26Speaker 6: what he says to do.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Actually, that's kind of fucking sad. Then, if you want
- 25:29Speaker 4: to be technical, that's kind of sad. Like again, where
- 25:32Speaker 4: my good friend says that I stand for nothing, Like
- 25:35Speaker 4: when we're talking about moral compass. I don't need somebody
- 25:38Speaker 4: to tell me somebody that I admire for music, or
- 25:41Speaker 4: admire for art, or I admire for for literature. I
- 25:44Speaker 4: don't need them to tell me or give me the
- 25:46Speaker 4: moral compass of what's right and what's wrong. Again, fourth
- 25:49Speaker 4: of July, I was sitting in my motherfucking house on
- 25:51Speaker 4: my couch. I don't need an audio. I don't need
- 25:53Speaker 4: to tell nobody what to do. I'm gonna do what
- 25:55Speaker 4: I want to do, what I feel is right. So
- 25:57Speaker 4: whether jay Z come out tomorrow and say y'all say
- 26:00Speaker 4: come out tomorrow and say I'm gonna do the same
- 26:02Speaker 4: thing next year that I did last year, that I
- 26:03Speaker 4: did the year before that, that I did the year
- 26:05Speaker 4: before that, I don't care.
- 26:06Speaker 6: All right, So there's still there's still there's still about
- 26:09Speaker 6: there's still how many black people are in this country?
- 26:11Speaker 3: Give it.
- 26:11Speaker 6: There's about fifty million black people in this country. You're
- 26:15Speaker 6: the one individual that said I will do what I
- 26:17Speaker 6: want to do and I wanted to do cool. There's
- 26:19Speaker 6: about forty nine million other black people that don't have
- 26:22Speaker 6: the same mind frame that you have. That you have
- 26:24Speaker 6: that you have with the power thinking that you have
- 26:25Speaker 6: to say, you know what, I'm gonna stand for something. Nah,
- 26:28Speaker 6: most of them be like Jesu, he said, I'm doing it.
- 26:31Speaker 6: But that's what we do. We follow the actors, we
- 26:34Speaker 6: follow the celebrities. Why people, this is why all the
- 26:37Speaker 6: all the platforms have been taken away from people like
- 26:39Speaker 6: Dick Gregory and the people that you need to hear
- 26:41Speaker 6: that degree die if you forgive me. But I'm just
- 26:43Speaker 6: using those examples and they're giving the people again like ice, spice. Now,
- 26:45Speaker 6: why do you have a platform to lead?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Why? How who's leading our generation of young kids? Let
- 26:49Speaker 3: me play? Let me play this thing right here. Let
- 26:51Speaker 3: me see if he plays a.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Lot of y'all are saying we ain't our ancestors. Y'all
- 26:55Speaker 2: still saying that you know what.
- 26:57Speaker 10: You're right, you're absolutely right, because the smell of Hennessy glaze,
- 27:02Speaker 10: salmon and mac and cheese something to a turkey leg
- 27:05Speaker 10: will put the fight for liberation at a pause with
- 27:09Speaker 10: a swiftness.
- 27:09Speaker 8: You're right, we ain't our ancestors. No, no, we're a
- 27:14Speaker 8: little We're worse than that. We ain't dying about this shit.
- 27:18Speaker 8: They did all the work. We think we got a pause.
- 27:20Speaker 8: We ain't organizing like our ancestors, you know what we're doing. Instead, Instead,
- 27:24Speaker 8: you see a white.
- 27:25Speaker 10: Man jigging, and now you can't run fast enough to
- 27:28Speaker 10: let him know that he's invited to the cookout.
- 27:32Speaker 2: You are absolutely right. We are not our ancestors. Oh no,
- 27:37Speaker 2: we ain't. We soft.
- 27:41Speaker 8: I ain't nobody invited to the cookout?
- 27:45Speaker 10: Let me say, ain't nobody invited.
- 27:48Speaker 2: To the cookout? That's not black.
- 27:49Speaker 8: I don't give a damn if they know the word
- 27:51Speaker 8: to a little boozy salt, or they can do the googy,
- 27:55Speaker 8: or they can corn row.
- 27:57Speaker 10: Ain't nobody invited to the cookout?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Do you hear me?
- 28:01Speaker 3: Okay?
- 28:02Speaker 2: Are we invited to reparations? Oh?
- 28:06Speaker 8: We're still getting lopsided unfair sentences while others are getting
- 28:10Speaker 8: lenien tea.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Oh oh my man.
- 28:14Speaker 10: No, But enjoy your little brunch though, because you know our.
- 28:19Speaker 8: Ancestors were worse than that.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I mean, I shout out the rock Nation brunch. I
- 28:26Speaker 3: don't get it. You don't get it.
- 28:29Speaker 5: I don't get why having a white friend that comes
- 28:33Speaker 5: to a barbecue is equivalent to reparations and other legislation
- 28:40Speaker 5: that she's talking about, Like you could do one, don't
- 28:42Speaker 5: got nothing to do with the other. For one and two,
- 28:45Speaker 5: it's okay to have allies. There are some white folks
- 28:47Speaker 5: that are on the right side of history, and they
- 28:50Speaker 5: can come to the even if the cookout is a
- 28:53Speaker 5: quote unquote cookout, if it's not a literal cookout. I
- 28:55Speaker 5: get what she's saying, right, maybe it's not literally, but
- 28:58Speaker 5: it's okay to have out. In fact, every not every,
- 29:02Speaker 5: but most of the games that we've made as far
- 29:05Speaker 5: as civil rights has come with allies. You have to
- 29:07Speaker 5: have people that are part of the infrastructure to help
- 29:10Speaker 5: change the infrastructure. It's just the way change works.
- 29:14Speaker 7: I think that one of my favorite movies is Mississippi Burning.
- 29:18Speaker 7: I know, Matt Old, but you know when it went
- 29:21Speaker 7: down south and those white people that went down there
- 29:23Speaker 7: to protest the voting stuff and they end up getting
- 29:26Speaker 7: killed alongside the black people.
- 29:28Speaker 6: Right.
- 29:28Speaker 7: I feel like part of the point of when people
- 29:30Speaker 7: say that is there was a level of work that
- 29:33Speaker 7: went in, right, the organizing before the gathering, the buses,
- 29:36Speaker 7: the traveling, the standing out, you know what I'm saying.
- 29:38Speaker 7: So being inducted into quote unquote the cookout wasn't It
- 29:43Speaker 7: wasn't just granted access for nothing.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Basically, you know what I'm saying.
- 29:46Speaker 7: You just look cool, if it feels nice, you said
- 29:49Speaker 7: something cool, so now you're in. No, this was like
- 29:51Speaker 7: a boots on the ground one hundred degree. Whether you
- 29:55Speaker 7: might get killed, you might get pistol, will you might
- 29:57Speaker 7: get thrown in. You know what I'm saying, because you're
- 29:58Speaker 7: standing with us. Okay, you know what I'm saying. I
- 30:01Speaker 7: feel like that's that's what people are talking about. It's like, Yo,
- 30:04Speaker 7: you're inviting niggas to the cookout. We have a cookout
- 30:06Speaker 7: because we're not allowed over there to eat, So now
- 30:08Speaker 7: you bring it. We got xtracog from over there. Now
- 30:10Speaker 7: you bringing the niggas? That racyte just over into o shit.
- 30:13Speaker 6: And it's it's also the fact that they like she
- 30:16Speaker 6: said that doing the douggie or the can like it's like,
- 30:19Speaker 6: just because you adopted hip hop or you act like us,
- 30:24Speaker 6: don't mean you're using your privilege to help us. That's
- 30:27Speaker 6: really what it's about. You understand what I'm saying. Like
- 30:29Speaker 6: to the people that you're talking about that you might
- 30:31Speaker 6: be cool with, how much are they actually willing to
- 30:33Speaker 6: die about you? Because you ain't got no choice when
- 30:36Speaker 6: they come this way, you ain't got no choice. They
- 30:40Speaker 6: are they going to use it? Or are they going
- 30:41Speaker 6: to be like that's fucked up? What happened to tromp?
- 30:45Speaker 3: Right? You understand it's a valid point I had.
- 30:51Speaker 6: I had a long week last week, and the only
- 30:52Speaker 6: reason I'm gonna bring it up is because mel Vibes
- 30:55Speaker 6: brought up the streamers. My godson was murdered last week.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Brisko b Is a droll rapper out in Coney Island.
- 31:06Speaker 6: A couple of god I did hear about that? Yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 6: my gosa yep. A couple of days later, there's a
- 31:13Speaker 6: eight person shootout right a corner.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I'm assuming it's related. You know what I'm saying, Get
- 31:21Speaker 3: back and.
- 31:25Speaker 6: Well for me, I want I want to know what
- 31:29Speaker 6: us men in this room are due actually doing to
- 31:34Speaker 6: change the circumstances of our communities. What do we actually
- 31:39Speaker 6: do because these the women, they right there with these
- 31:42Speaker 6: kids every single day, every single day. Some of us
- 31:46Speaker 6: might be you know, Trom, you and i A both fathers.
- 31:48Speaker 6: We're there right this one is actually in the community.
- 31:51Speaker 6: That one's actually in the community. Do the men that
- 31:57Speaker 6: know better do we owe boar? Do we owe our
- 32:01Speaker 6: communities for not being there for all that time? Or
- 32:05Speaker 6: like to offset what the fuck we see.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Going on out there?
- 32:10Speaker 6: I do think I do think it's our obligation once
- 32:14Speaker 6: we understand the game and how it really works, to
- 32:16Speaker 6: play it forward. Because at some point when you was twenty,
- 32:19Speaker 6: there was a forty year old dude for the fire
- 32:20Speaker 6: was trying to speaking to you.
- 32:21Speaker 3: He was like, what's right now? I'm pretty sure.
- 32:24Speaker 6: Absolutely, but but you know, now we're in that person's
- 32:28Speaker 6: shoes and we're looking at it like I see what
- 32:30Speaker 6: they were trying to show us and trying to kind
- 32:31Speaker 6: of kind of malect it from when he came and
- 32:33Speaker 6: got me. I went though. They had the Crown Heights
- 32:36Speaker 6: Youth Collective over there. There was a dude who took
- 32:39Speaker 6: a fancy to my mom's bad. My pops wasn't around,
- 32:43Speaker 6: but he came and he dragged my ass over there,
- 32:46Speaker 6: and the funk was it?
- 32:48Speaker 3: I don't know. It's like.
- 32:51Speaker 6: They grew their own fruit and like that. They had
- 32:53Speaker 6: their own class market tea, you know what.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I'm saying, like a community garden, commut.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Like community like type ship they had to make, put
- 33:00Speaker 6: us to work and educated, read and shit like that.
- 33:03Speaker 3: You know, I went because of it.
- 33:06Speaker 6: Than that I really didn't have I'm not gonna say
- 33:07Speaker 6: I didn't have no choice, But it was a dude,
- 33:09Speaker 6: older dude that took interest. I didn't have no men
- 33:11Speaker 6: around me, and you know, I mean it took me
- 33:13Speaker 6: and put me in a community. How much of that
- 33:14Speaker 6: are we actually doing, especially now that we getting two dollars.
- 33:19Speaker 3: There's there's a lot of that happening.
- 33:20Speaker 6: It's not as broadcasted as everything else, or it's not,
- 33:25Speaker 6: as I want to say, I don't say publicized. Yeah,
- 33:28Speaker 6: it's not as publicized as everything else and the things
- 33:30Speaker 6: that are negative. But there are a lot of us
- 33:33Speaker 6: that are trying to make differences, that are trying to
- 33:35Speaker 6: teach that the are trying to impart in whatever ways
- 33:37Speaker 6: we can. Me specifically, I try to use my comedy
- 33:41Speaker 6: as a as a way to drop the medicine in
- 33:44Speaker 6: the food right because I know if I say the
- 33:47Speaker 6: things I want to say, I'm going to get black balled.
- 33:49Speaker 6: I'm going to get my wingle get clipp before I
- 33:51Speaker 6: get off the ground. So I find ways to, you know,
- 33:54Speaker 6: disarm you with the humor and then teach you and
- 33:56Speaker 6: enlighten you in some sort of way, shape or form.
- 33:59Speaker 6: You may not like everything that poster or my content
- 34:01Speaker 6: with the cases, but if you pay attention, there's always something,
- 34:03Speaker 6: some little gem that I'm trying to post, even if
- 34:05Speaker 6: it's in my stories about everything that's going on, like
- 34:06Speaker 6: everything that's going on around us, just as humanity, black, white,
- 34:10Speaker 6: and every individually speaking back on the community stuff again, condoulces.
- 34:14Speaker 3: To your godson.
- 34:18Speaker 6: I hate to sound like this realistically, but it's so
- 34:21Speaker 6: much beyondes it. It's as in our hands as we
- 34:24Speaker 6: feel it is.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Son.
- 34:28Speaker 6: I was scared of him, as in our hands as
- 34:30Speaker 6: we feel it should be. I was scared him. I'm
- 34:33Speaker 6: gonna keep it rod with you.
- 34:34Speaker 3: He was. I remember when he was controllable.
- 34:37Speaker 6: But I was so worried about getting my life like
- 34:39Speaker 6: I had just come home from prison, so I was
- 34:41Speaker 6: trying to get my shit together because I was on
- 34:43Speaker 6: the mission to take care of my kid and not
- 34:45Speaker 6: be a loser.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Like I was trying to figure it out.
- 34:48Speaker 6: I ain't have no real way, I didn't have no degree,
- 34:50Speaker 6: but I was trying to figure it out.
- 34:51Speaker 3: When I came back around, who the fuck is this
- 34:56Speaker 3: nigg became a monster? Who is this nigga? The monster?
- 34:59Speaker 6: And I remember Drew, don't clip this my access that
- 35:02Speaker 6: I told y'all, yo, you gotta go get him, and
- 35:05Speaker 6: he said, my son going to learn in the street
- 35:08Speaker 6: like I learned in the street. Y'all. Remember I told
- 35:11Speaker 6: the story on the show. I'm watching some niggas sent
- 35:15Speaker 6: me a video or then pumping his chest as he
- 35:17Speaker 6: bled out, And I never forgot that, Like damn, we
- 35:21Speaker 6: actually gave up on this nigga. I was scared of him.
- 35:25Speaker 6: I'm telling you the real truth, Nigga. When he died,
- 35:29Speaker 6: we had a group chat.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Me and a bunch of street niggas back in the days.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Whatever it may be, niggas like yo, I'm not reposting that.
- 35:35Speaker 3: The little niggas is looking to see who we posted it.
- 35:38Speaker 3: How fuck your niggas is even y'all scared to repost
- 35:41Speaker 3: your own? Because these little niggas is crazy. They will
- 35:44Speaker 3: knock your head off quick in the comments talking about
- 35:47Speaker 3: we knock your head off quick, come to the funeral,
- 35:52Speaker 3: nig up the grave, shoot the shoot.
- 35:57Speaker 6: So you over there right and you're saying, what can
- 35:59Speaker 6: we do as men to stop this? And then they're
- 36:02Speaker 6: getting pumped king von music and drill music in their head,
- 36:05Speaker 6: non stop, run down on ops, blick on ops, spin
- 36:08Speaker 6: the block on ops all day long. That's all they hearing,
- 36:10Speaker 6: that's all they're being fed into. And you come and
- 36:12Speaker 6: try and say, hey man, why don't you go to
- 36:14Speaker 6: school and do some positive bro? And you're looking at it,
- 36:16Speaker 6: and they looking at you like I gotta fuk, I
- 36:18Speaker 6: gotta draco. What are you talking about? So it's very
- 36:21Speaker 6: it's a very child and I and I speak on
- 36:23Speaker 6: that the way I do, whether you clip this or not,
- 36:25Speaker 6: because I'm a father of two boys, right and unfortunately
- 36:29Speaker 6: I'm in a situation where the court is involved and
- 36:32Speaker 6: I don't communicate well with the other side. So it
- 36:37Speaker 6: limits as black men our ability to protect our own
- 36:40Speaker 6: because realism, it is a design for them to fall down,
- 36:43Speaker 6: fall down, that's slippery slope.
- 36:45Speaker 3: That's by design.
- 36:47Speaker 6: Yeah, your god son didn't die to by chances, by designs.
- 36:50Speaker 6: But the way the music is constantly think about the
- 36:52Speaker 6: music that we listen to on radio all day long,
- 36:55Speaker 6: think about and I use, I use to say power
- 36:57Speaker 6: one of five. Remember when Sexy came out with your
- 37:02Speaker 6: whole Brown The first time you heard it as a
- 37:03Speaker 6: girl like trash, no respect to anybody's art.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I'm just being real. First time you heard you like,
- 37:11Speaker 3: what is this?
- 37:12Speaker 6: And then whoever's in control of that kept it spinning
- 37:15Speaker 6: so that after a while you was you driving the
- 37:18Speaker 6: car like So it's literally it's programmed into you, and
- 37:23Speaker 6: they programmed it's it's so deeper than we can ever imagine,
- 37:28Speaker 6: and it's so much hard. It's old hard to fight
- 37:29Speaker 6: because you're trying to show that, hey, you're not going
- 37:32Speaker 6: to get far, you're.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Going to die. And they looking at you like what,
- 37:35Speaker 3: I got a draco? What are you talking about? What?
- 37:39Speaker 3: It's almost like it's almost like it's almost.
- 37:40Speaker 6: Like I do feel like though, I'm sorry if I'm
- 37:43Speaker 6: skipping it right now, y'all, y'all input, but I think
- 37:50Speaker 6: what you said you were father two kids. There was
- 37:53Speaker 6: a conversation on it. It just just very quickly that
- 37:55Speaker 6: niggas was like, yo, would you would you snitch if
- 37:58Speaker 6: Gucci like, oh, he was trying to leave and they
- 38:01Speaker 6: lifted Drake up up on you.
- 38:03Speaker 3: But you was the street I said, Bro, I'm calling
- 38:06Speaker 3: the cops immediately.
- 38:07Speaker 6: As I go outside. I'm not a street nigga. I'm
- 38:10Speaker 6: a father. I'm a husband. Like that's how I that's
- 38:14Speaker 6: my identity, all that other shit trying to prove that
- 38:19Speaker 6: my dick is big as that nigga, My ego is
- 38:22Speaker 6: as big.
- 38:22Speaker 3: As him, and he ain't gonna Bro, you.
- 38:24Speaker 6: Go deal with the people, them and the twelve. You
- 38:28Speaker 6: go deal with them, right because there's gonna be repercussions.
- 38:31Speaker 6: I'm actually doing your favor. The other route is, you
- 38:35Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, and I don't owe you that.
- 38:38Speaker 6: I don't owe you my life in exchange for yours.
- 38:40Speaker 6: My nigga, all right, but I look at the fact
- 38:44Speaker 6: that Mal just said, Yo, I'm a father again, Drew,
- 38:48Speaker 6: don't clip this. My best friend he died right hustling
- 38:54Speaker 6: last year. His son in jail. My other best friend
- 39:00Speaker 6: he going through his morning process right now. His son died.
- 39:04Speaker 6: My other one just came home from vision. His son died.
- 39:08Speaker 6: Don't clip this. I'm glad they don't listen. But it's like, Yo,
- 39:12Speaker 6: we was all just standing around on the corner, not
- 39:14Speaker 6: raising our kids.
- 39:16Speaker 3: None of us was that.
- 39:18Speaker 6: Involved in our kids. That accountability now has to be
- 39:22Speaker 6: had in this moment.
- 39:23Speaker 3: When I was in jail, somebody asked me, this today
- 39:25Speaker 3: completely separate. Just on some.
- 39:27Speaker 6: Books hear it changed. But I was actually bugging out
- 39:31Speaker 6: in the street, right, I'm bugging right. Went to trimpt,
- 39:34Speaker 6: I went to try for tempted murder and just took
- 39:37Speaker 6: the please for the other small accounts of drugs whatever.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Went upstate. When I went upstate, my mother brought my
- 39:43Speaker 6: daughter to come see me on the visiting floor.
- 39:47Speaker 3: This girl is.
- 39:48Speaker 6: Six years old, little princess, little girl, and I hadn't
- 39:52Speaker 6: spent much time with her because I was always in
- 39:54Speaker 6: the street, ripping and running. I wasn't thinking about it.
- 39:56Speaker 6: Mother's job to raise kid. I ain't thinking about that.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Right with the CEOs. It's walking around being dicks.
- 40:04Speaker 6: You'll move at you can't have that right there, No touching,
- 40:06Speaker 6: no hands, you're you know, I'm talking to my daughter
- 40:08Speaker 6: like you right. And I look, I'm sitting there and
- 40:13Speaker 6: I'm looking around at this little last girl in this penitentiary.
- 40:20Speaker 3: And in my head, I said, you're teaching her that
- 40:24Speaker 3: this is okay. This is where you come to see died.
- 40:27Speaker 6: This is where you're gonna wind up seeing your boyfriend.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Now you're gonna you're gonna marry.
- 40:31Speaker 6: And when my mom's left, I got on the silver phone,
- 40:34Speaker 6: the silver jack, and I said, don't bring her no
- 40:37Speaker 6: more right, And I went and laid in myself and
- 40:41Speaker 6: my life changed right there, right there.
- 40:46Speaker 3: When I hit the streets. The first thing I went and.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Did was go get her bags in my hand, walking
- 40:52Speaker 6: with her in the street, learning who she is, the
- 40:55Speaker 6: understand what I'm saying that moment actually stoke cracking, that
- 40:59Speaker 6: she fucked me up to, but that moment actually changed
- 41:03Speaker 6: me from who I was before that that moment, in
- 41:06Speaker 6: that and on that visiting floor, you understand what I'm saying.
- 41:10Speaker 6: But now I look and I said, fuck bro All,
- 41:13Speaker 6: like all our kids is dad, my godson, my other son, YO.
- 41:19Speaker 6: One is in prison. That guy's still alive, but he
- 41:22Speaker 6: going for ten fi teen years. The other one they
- 41:25Speaker 6: put him down on Chauncey years ago. Like damn, bro
- 41:30Speaker 6: y'all diying know with nothing. It's not even like that,
- 41:32Speaker 6: No will you never even you haven't seen the world yet,
- 41:34Speaker 6: you haven't, you haven't even traveled. It looks like this
- 41:37Speaker 6: is just the bed sty in Brooklyn is the Senter universe.
- 41:41Speaker 6: And it's like, there's so much bigger than this, There's
- 41:42Speaker 6: so much more than this.
- 41:44Speaker 3: But we was worried about chasing the Joneses, all of us.
- 41:48Speaker 6: We wasn't even knowing nothing but buying ship and spending
- 41:51Speaker 6: it and going to the club and doing whatever, all
- 41:54Speaker 6: of us. And look at out look at our offspring,
- 41:57Speaker 6: and I'm just like I'm wondering. I'm saying, I'm saying this,
- 42:00Speaker 6: and I might get balked on by my friends, and shit,
- 42:03Speaker 6: I understand that, but I also feel like there's a
- 42:05Speaker 6: lesson to be learned by any man that's out here.
- 42:08Speaker 6: You don't want to see that video of them, pump
- 42:11Speaker 6: my man had to go identify his son.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Bro.
- 42:13Speaker 6: They shot him in the face, shot him in the chest,
- 42:15Speaker 6: and they walked over and they hit him. You know
- 42:18Speaker 6: how these Joe Lingers is they bucked out. They walked
- 42:20Speaker 6: them over and walked over to him and hit him
- 42:22Speaker 6: all in the face to disrespect him. I see the
- 42:26Speaker 6: video or the police trying to You don't want your
- 42:28Speaker 6: kid to You don't want to see your kid like that.
- 42:30Speaker 3: I don't give a.
- 42:31Speaker 6: Fuck what you're thinking that you gotta do in life.
- 42:34Speaker 6: I don't give a fuck what you think is important.
- 42:36Speaker 6: Do you think is gonna be that important? When they
- 42:39Speaker 6: send you that video or you get that call he
- 42:44Speaker 6: identifies as a father, That means something. I've been saying
- 42:48Speaker 6: this on the show for a long time. That means something.
- 42:51Speaker 6: We need to realize how important that is.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Bro. I created the whole mal vibes person.
- 42:58Speaker 6: Sorry, y'all, that's actually that's These are things that actually
- 43:01Speaker 6: need to be discussed right and need to be heard
- 43:04Speaker 6: for people that are in our positions. And I tell
- 43:07Speaker 6: people all the time like I created male vibes or
- 43:09Speaker 6: the thought process of mal vibes so I can show
- 43:11Speaker 6: my kids you could do anything to put your mind
- 43:12Speaker 6: to right. And at the time my first time was
- 43:14Speaker 6: being born, Takashi six nine was hot, Like Takashi six
- 43:17Speaker 6: nine was the thing right before he got the whole
- 43:19Speaker 6: thing with tray Away and all that. And I was
- 43:21Speaker 6: thinking myself, like, it's Takashi six's nine gonna raise my kid.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that was literally.
- 43:26Speaker 6: My thinking when Kayden was born, like you know, it's
- 43:28Speaker 6: it's Takashi six' nine really going to be the influential
- 43:32Speaker 6: respect of what my kid looks up to from like,
- 43:34Speaker 6: it because no matter how much your parents influence, you
- 43:37Speaker 6: like you're gonna look up to the people that you
- 43:40Speaker 6: see ON tv or the. Cases i'm, like you know,
- 43:42Speaker 6: What i'll be a damn fool IF i didn't put
- 43:45Speaker 6: my hat in the ring and say let me have
- 43:47Speaker 6: a say outside of this house, too. Right and also
- 43:50Speaker 6: If i'm telling you as a as A i got
- 43:52Speaker 6: to say as a father first BEFORE i even, say black,
- 43:54Speaker 6: man you could do. Anything you put your mind to
- 43:56Speaker 6: AND i don't do. It that's like me smoking crack
- 43:58Speaker 6: and tell you not the smoke cigarettes in front of.
- 43:59Speaker 6: You i'm not doing my service If i'm not going
- 44:02Speaker 6: out there saying all, RIGHT i am going to do,
- 44:05Speaker 6: it put my best foot forward and do, things And
- 44:07Speaker 6: i'm telling you you can do. It learn how to
- 44:09Speaker 6: crack the algorithm SO i can teach it to you
- 44:10Speaker 6: so you can skate through. This and because this is
- 44:12Speaker 6: a slow, them there's life, ship especially as black as
- 44:15Speaker 6: black kids and me being haven't been arrested amount of
- 44:18Speaker 6: Times i've been the, rested haven't been going to court
- 44:20Speaker 6: as much As i'm going to court and understanding how
- 44:22Speaker 6: it's truly. Designed our duty is to teach them as
- 44:25Speaker 6: much to every absorb everything we can and feed it
- 44:27Speaker 6: back to them the right, way so the whole male vibe,
- 44:30Speaker 6: saying while it may be great for some people that
- 44:32Speaker 6: love the, comedy some people that love the, music the
- 44:34Speaker 6: old thought process is my kids going to have internet one, day,
- 44:36Speaker 6: right and they're gonna look and say when my dad
- 44:38Speaker 6: ain't out here doing dumb, shit and my dad is
- 44:40Speaker 6: kind of, known SO i could do. Either it isn't
- 44:43Speaker 6: IF i can tell you the steps and, say, hey
- 44:45Speaker 6: don't worry about. That don't worry about them on the
- 44:47Speaker 6: corner because they don't really they not come to see
- 44:49Speaker 6: you when you get locked up and then when your
- 44:51Speaker 6: homeboys came to.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Check you on a visiting. Floor, no he, did he actually. Did. Major,
- 44:55Speaker 3: sorry Well.
- 44:57Speaker 10: I'm.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Saying i'm just.
- 44:58Speaker 6: Saying i'm, saying like street ship like THEY i shouldn't,
- 45:02Speaker 6: disagree but he, said that's why you're sitting.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Here But i'm just really long. Trip butman magazine and all,
- 45:12Speaker 3: that that's why we do came a butt.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Magazine but you, know to answer your, Question i'm gonna
- 45:19Speaker 5: steal from both y'all because both of y'all ended WHERE
- 45:22Speaker 5: i was going to start to answer your, question like
- 45:24Speaker 5: what could we? Do the first thing is get your
- 45:28Speaker 5: own mind, right you know WHAT i, Mean like you
- 45:29Speaker 5: had to get your mentality right with your, daughter and
- 45:34Speaker 5: that's where it. Starts you can't be an example to.
- 45:36Speaker 5: Anybody you can't be a mentor to anybody if mentally
- 45:39Speaker 5: you're not in the right, place because what type of
- 45:42Speaker 5: what are you going to? Say what are you going
- 45:43Speaker 5: to do as an? Example if you're not moving in
- 45:45Speaker 5: the right. Direction so that's the first thing as far
- 45:48Speaker 5: as what we could do as OG's in our. Community
- 45:51Speaker 5: and we was talking about this before we, start before
- 45:54Speaker 5: we hit, record, like AND i was, saying, like not
- 45:57Speaker 5: everybody is meant to do everything, right BECAUSE i got so.
- 46:00Speaker 5: Dudes that's Really Brookn, Combine Kenny Phil. Manzu they like
- 46:05Speaker 5: work in like juvenile detention. Centers they work with the
- 46:10Speaker 5: kids that's in trouble and try to. Reform they teach them,
- 46:14Speaker 5: Skills they teach them, photography they teach them all types
- 46:16Speaker 5: of shit legal stuff to give them skills so when
- 46:20Speaker 5: they get out they have a better.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Life.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Right not everybody is built for that in the trenches
- 46:25Speaker 5: type of, stuff but everybody could do, something even if
- 46:28Speaker 5: it's just being a good dad or or there's a
- 46:31Speaker 5: younger kid on the block that you just put under your,
- 46:34Speaker 5: wing you know WHAT i. Mean so just simple things like,
- 46:37Speaker 5: that black, MAN i just want you all to show
- 46:40Speaker 5: up in your, community whether it's on your black whether
- 46:43Speaker 5: it's with your, family your little. Cousins just be an
- 46:46Speaker 5: example for, kids you know. It don't not everybody gotta
- 46:51Speaker 5: be in the school systems and be as hands on
- 46:55Speaker 5: as some of us. Are but let say, this it's
- 46:57Speaker 5: not the.
- 46:59Speaker 6: Statement a lot of black men are showing up and
- 47:02Speaker 6: also agree are not getting, recognized not that they're doing
- 47:05Speaker 6: it for, recognition but there's a lot of black men
- 47:09Speaker 6: that are showing up that are willing to do the,
- 47:11Speaker 6: work that actually, fight that are actually going to battle
- 47:13Speaker 6: for their own in for ones that look like. Us
- 47:15Speaker 6: and it's not highly, publicized, right it's highly publicized the
- 47:18Speaker 6: many you slip out a line black, men.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Men, lord the black, men they sent us out here doing.
- 47:26Speaker 6: It but there's the ones every day that are doing it,
- 47:30Speaker 6: unsung with no QUESTION i, asked not asking for some
- 47:33Speaker 6: sort of, recognition not in any of that, stuff because
- 47:35Speaker 6: it needs to be done and it's the right thing to.
- 47:36Speaker 6: Do the black men out here that's getting the shit
- 47:38Speaker 6: done for people that look like, them even whether AND
- 47:42Speaker 6: i could take race out of this for just one, minute,
- 47:44Speaker 6: right just from a humanity, standpoint there's men out here
- 47:47Speaker 6: that are literally trying to do the right thing for
- 47:50Speaker 6: people as a. Whole let me get back in the
- 47:52Speaker 6: black men and black men that have it equally stuff
- 47:55Speaker 6: because every time we step, outside you and, me we
- 47:57Speaker 6: don't got to, worry but we got to worry about
- 47:58Speaker 6: not just the you girls gott worry about the. Police
- 48:01Speaker 6: we gotta worry about if a woman feels uncomfortable with
- 48:04Speaker 6: walk next to. Them we gotta worry about a whole
- 48:06Speaker 6: lot of shit that makes it very difficult for us
- 48:07Speaker 6: to just be at. Peace and they are black men
- 48:10Speaker 6: that are still showing up day after day even when
- 48:14Speaker 6: it is. DIFFICULT i, can AND i can, AGAIN i
- 48:16Speaker 6: can speak to this Because i'm. Living this is a
- 48:18Speaker 6: situation even when a court tells you you can't see a,
- 48:21Speaker 6: kid the baby that you, raised That god gave you
- 48:23Speaker 6: AND i put, together put the bed every, night and
- 48:25Speaker 6: all of a sudden you're involved in telling ME i
- 48:27Speaker 6: can't see.
- 48:28Speaker 3: It, yeah SO i still Gotta AM i going to crash?
- 48:30Speaker 3: Out or AM i gonna?
- 48:30Speaker 6: Quit AM i going to still show? Up i'm gonna
- 48:32Speaker 6: show up for your, Kid i'm gon show up for your.
- 48:34Speaker 6: Daughter i'm gonna sure it for your, son because it's
- 48:37Speaker 6: the right thing to. Do it's what it's literally what
- 48:39Speaker 6: the ancestors want us to be. DOING i can use
- 48:41Speaker 6: CAN i say that comfortably is what the ancestors are
- 48:44Speaker 6: giving us a platform like this to keep, doing to,
- 48:47Speaker 6: enlighten to teach to give. Opportunity there's a lot of
- 48:50Speaker 6: black men that don't get a. Recognition they need to
- 48:51Speaker 6: and they need to start getting. Recognized For, josh first of,
- 48:55Speaker 6: ALL i apologize for hitting the trauma, button and that's.
- 49:01Speaker 6: Needed sometimes that's your. Time these conversations are super healthy to.
- 49:05Speaker 6: Have they haven't need to be.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Heard like you work with kids every, day work with the.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Boys the, boys those are my. Babies what?
- 49:12Speaker 6: Shit what do you what are you feeling about this?
- 49:15Speaker 4: Convo, Listen i've said it, Before i'm gonna say it.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Again there are several things that black men need to
- 49:22Speaker 4: do and need to start.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Doing, one y'all gotta get in these.
- 49:27Speaker 4: Schools AND i don't know how many TIMES i gotta say, it,
- 49:30Speaker 4: like y'all have to get in the, schools and y'all
- 49:32Speaker 4: have to be more than the gym, teacher like teach,
- 49:37Speaker 4: math teach E, la teach, history like you have to
- 49:41Speaker 4: go to school and care about your own education and
- 49:44Speaker 4: then use that as a catalyst to go get these
- 49:46Speaker 4: kids and get them to care about their. Education because
- 49:50Speaker 4: the the the brass facts of it, is in ten
- 49:54Speaker 4: years That i've been in, education it is very women
- 49:58Speaker 4: dominated and our boys need this a little bit more
- 50:02Speaker 4: than our girls right.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Now that's number. One number two.
- 50:08Speaker 4: You WHEN i say father your sons and father your,
- 50:11Speaker 4: kids it's bigger than just. Yours y'all gotta start being
- 50:15Speaker 4: a neighborhood. Dad y'all need to start being like that
- 50:19Speaker 4: father that all of the friends can come to that
- 50:22Speaker 4: safe space for all of the, friends like getting your
- 50:25Speaker 4: kids and all of their friends and knowing who their
- 50:27Speaker 4: friends are and making positive examples with the, community because
- 50:31Speaker 4: you can't just do it in a vacuum alone with
- 50:34Speaker 4: your child and just raise your child one, way and
- 50:37Speaker 4: then they go out and have influences from all of
- 50:39Speaker 4: these different, people and then your way is not gonna.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Work you gotta get all of. Them like one thing
- 50:45Speaker 4: that my Brother greg does AND i think it's like
- 50:48Speaker 4: so dope is he'll like make days to bring all
- 50:51Speaker 4: our kids together to do. Something it's just Like Uncle greg.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Day he, like, yo are taking all the kids and
- 50:56Speaker 4: we're all gonna go, here we all gonna go do
- 50:58Speaker 4: this or, That like we're about to do a bowling
- 51:00Speaker 4: day and like two weeks AND i can't wait for
- 51:02Speaker 4: that cause then the kids they get. Together you have
- 51:04Speaker 4: like minded people you have the kids that you know
- 51:07Speaker 4: if their dad is not as prevalent in their life
- 51:10Speaker 4: or just the days that all of fall this take
- 51:12Speaker 4: it's like daddy daycare all of. All just take all
- 51:14Speaker 4: the kids and the. Moms we can just go do
- 51:16Speaker 4: whatever the fuck we want to. Do like y'all have
- 51:17Speaker 4: to start doing more of. That niggas could play on,
- 51:19Speaker 4: vacations they could buy bottles in the, Club but what
- 51:22Speaker 4: are y'all doing for y'all children and y'all children's, Friends and,
- 51:26Speaker 4: LIKE i understand that co parenting and things like that are,
- 51:30Speaker 4: difficult but fighting for your kid is like the most
- 51:35Speaker 4: important thing in the. World and not only resting and
- 51:39Speaker 4: relying on the mother or the relationship with the mother
- 51:42Speaker 4: to get.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Information like parent teacher.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Night you should know when it is your, kids, doctor
- 51:47Speaker 4: your kids fucking.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Teachers you should know their.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Names you should be at the school, too like it's
- 51:55Speaker 4: y'all not just there for disciplinary, things like you show,
- 51:59Speaker 4: up drop your kid, off pick your kid up up
- 52:02Speaker 4: into high. School like stop thinking that after elementary school
- 52:05Speaker 4: that parenting is over and the kids, like oh they
- 52:07Speaker 4: they old enough that they, Could, no they're. Not middle
- 52:11Speaker 4: school is the most important time in a kid's, life
- 52:13Speaker 4: especially a young black. Boy i've seen. It i've seen
- 52:16Speaker 4: it time and time. Again and when you're talking about
- 52:19Speaker 4: being in the trenches or me being, there LIKE i
- 52:21Speaker 4: remember last, year my, kids some of my boys had
- 52:26Speaker 4: beef with kids from a neighboring, school AND i heard
- 52:31Speaker 4: that they were getting, jumped like a couple of blocks
- 52:34Speaker 4: away from my. SCHOOL i swear to god it was
- 52:37Speaker 4: me and three other dudes against twenty YAN i SWEAR
- 52:43Speaker 4: i was just, like oh my, god this is about
- 52:45Speaker 4: to be some bullshit and like And i'm in the
- 52:47Speaker 4: trenches And i'm in, there like grabbing my kids up
- 52:51Speaker 4: out of like My CenTra. HOODIE i still can't wear.
- 52:53Speaker 4: IT i still got blood and that. Shit that shit
- 52:55Speaker 4: do not come out Like i'm, Like I'm i'm in.
- 52:58Speaker 4: There i'm In i'm there with it's my. Kids i'm
- 53:00Speaker 4: on the ground with my. Kids AND i can tell
- 53:02Speaker 4: you none of them boys fathers came to that. School
- 53:06Speaker 4: none of them boys. Fathers AND i called them BECAUSE
- 53:09Speaker 4: i like to Call. DAD i don't want to call.
- 53:10Speaker 4: THEM i want to Call.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Dad the mother showed. Up not one father showed up
- 53:17Speaker 2: for them.
- 53:17Speaker 4: Boys AFTER i, said what happened AFTER i called and, said,
- 53:20Speaker 4: like and that shit is like disheartening because the boys
- 53:25Speaker 4: get a lot of mothering in, school they get a
- 53:28Speaker 4: lot of that like feminine, energy that that love and,
- 53:31Speaker 4: care but they need that from the men. Too and
- 53:34Speaker 4: WHEN i look, around it's not a lot of. Them
- 53:37Speaker 4: it's not a lot of black men in these.
- 53:38Speaker 6: SCHOOL i spoke about, this AND i THINK i spoke
- 53:41Speaker 6: about my failures as a father. MYSELF i spoke about
- 53:44Speaker 6: it on My, instagram and it's, like and this is
- 53:48Speaker 6: not an, excuse it's just. Experience this is my. Experience
- 53:53Speaker 6: this this this this thing WHERE i don't want to,
- 53:58Speaker 6: say you don't find. It for all of the fathers
- 54:00Speaker 6: out here that disagree and that understand, it please understand
- 54:04Speaker 6: is everybody has different. Experiences i'm just literally speaking from my.
- 54:07Speaker 6: Experience for, ONE i NEVER i didn't grow up with.
- 54:11Speaker 6: DAD i didn't grow up with no men in my.
- 54:13Speaker 3: Family.
- 54:15Speaker 6: Yep like there's men, around but one is a hustle over.
- 54:18Speaker 6: HERE i never seen him with his. Kids the other
- 54:20Speaker 6: one lives In, Orlando, florida you know WHAT i. MEAN
- 54:23Speaker 6: i didn't see my uncle IN la he was, gay
- 54:25Speaker 6: you know WHAT i? Mean and they had a he
- 54:27Speaker 6: had an interesting relationship with his where his son was,
- 54:31Speaker 6: there but they had an interesting, relationship, Right so it
- 54:34Speaker 6: wasn't one THAT i would have emulated for whatever reason
- 54:37Speaker 6: and loved them.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Both BUT.
- 54:42Speaker 6: I WHEN i came home from prison AND i had a,
- 54:45Speaker 6: child or WHEN i was in the, STREET i just
- 54:47Speaker 6: didn't have that intimate connection with being a. FATHER i
- 54:50Speaker 6: was more concerned with being. SUCCESSFUL i just wanted to
- 54:55Speaker 6: be somebody that was, respected even SOMEBODY i could look
- 54:58Speaker 6: at in the, mirror whether it was WHEN i was the,
- 55:00Speaker 6: street whether it's WHEN i came home from, prison WHEN
- 55:02Speaker 6: i was trying to find my.
- 55:03Speaker 3: WAY i don't have no.
- 55:04Speaker 6: DEGREE i had failed so much growing up THAT i
- 55:07Speaker 6: didn't really have a certain belief in my system and.
- 55:09Speaker 6: MYSELF i just really wanted to be, somebody and raising
- 55:14Speaker 6: the kid didn't seem like the thing for me to
- 55:18Speaker 6: be super focused.
- 55:19Speaker 3: On, yeah yeah it.
- 55:21Speaker 6: WAS i was wrong for, that BUT i just didn't
- 55:24Speaker 6: have that intimate connection with being a dad the WAY
- 55:28Speaker 6: i would look at my Baby mama's both of, them
- 55:31Speaker 6: they mothering came, first and they did everything around being a,
- 55:35Speaker 6: mother going to get this, job going to, school, whatever
- 55:40Speaker 6: hustle they had it all revolved around being a, mother whereas,
- 55:45Speaker 6: me you asked, me or why you KNOW i need
- 55:47Speaker 6: you to come to the. SCHOOL i gotta go to.
- 55:48Speaker 6: WORK i gotta go to.
- 55:50Speaker 2: WORK i LOVE i love.
- 55:51Speaker 4: THEM i love the when when parents say, that BECAUSE
- 55:53Speaker 4: i had to really like spaz on a parent at
- 55:56Speaker 4: some point in.
- 55:56Speaker 2: My, career, like, OH i have to go to.
- 55:59Speaker 4: WORK i can't show up for my, SON i, said
- 56:02Speaker 4: were all at, Work so what are you, saying come
- 56:05Speaker 4: get your? Kid, like come get your, kid or he
- 56:08Speaker 4: can't come to school tomorrow and then and then you
- 56:10Speaker 4: really can't go to.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Work so what you're gonna?
- 56:11Speaker 4: DO i beat here in two hours exactly exactly because
- 56:16Speaker 4: it's so it's so easy to make excuses to pass
- 56:19Speaker 4: off and pacify why you Can't why did everybody?
- 56:22Speaker 2: Works we all got to raise these. Kids everybody. WORKS
- 56:25Speaker 2: i don't care that you have to go to.
- 56:27Speaker 4: Work your child needs to become a priority at some,
- 56:30Speaker 4: point And i'm gonna tell you make make your kid a.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Priority i'm the one that's going to be on the
- 56:35Speaker 2: phone on hots with.
- 56:36Speaker 6: You did y'all always have an intimate relationship with being a, Father?
- 56:44Speaker 5: YEAH i mean you you helped me out a. Lot you,
- 56:46Speaker 5: know you had your, daughter my god daughter, first and
- 56:51Speaker 5: you know you helped me through the fatherhood, things you
- 56:55Speaker 5: know WHAT i. Mean and LUCKILY i had good. Examples
- 56:57Speaker 5: you my, brother my pot but you.
- 56:59Speaker 3: Came from it's your parent household.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Too, yeah but even still it Wasn't it's not as,
- 57:05Speaker 5: instinctual you know WHAT i mean. THAT i was just
- 57:09Speaker 5: having this conversation the other, day, like you, know maternal
- 57:12Speaker 5: Instinct Obviously i'm not a, WOMAN i don't, know BUT
- 57:15Speaker 5: i feel is more instinctual than paternal. Instinct SO i
- 57:18Speaker 5: feel like we needed that, push that guidance on how
- 57:22Speaker 5: to be a, father how to be, active you know
- 57:24Speaker 5: WHAT i, mean and things like. That so LUCKILY i had,
- 57:26Speaker 5: that you know WHAT i.
- 57:27Speaker 6: MEAN i THINK i just think that that AND i
- 57:30Speaker 6: don't know if he was, finished BUT i also THINK
- 57:31Speaker 6: i see that you. Disagree BUT i also think that
- 57:34Speaker 6: that kind of happened in the last fifty years BECAUSE
- 57:37Speaker 6: i think there was always been paternal, historically and we
- 57:40Speaker 6: knew what we had to.
- 57:41Speaker 3: Do men knew what they had to.
- 57:43Speaker 6: Do and after the crack, whatever the separation of men
- 57:47Speaker 6: from the, household.
- 57:49Speaker 3: We're offspring of that of.
- 57:52Speaker 6: Society like it's just not the same For Black, americans
- 57:55Speaker 6: by the, way BECAUSE i think that In West indian
- 57:57Speaker 6: coaches it's still not it doesn't impact them the same.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Way that's not. True, Listen there's two Things i'm gonna. Say,
- 58:05Speaker 4: one there is a misconception that motherhood and maternal instinct comes,
- 58:14Speaker 4: naturally because for some women it. Doesn't it's not, like
- 58:17Speaker 4: oh my, GOD i just had this baby and NOW
- 58:19Speaker 4: i have this undying connection to.
- 58:21Speaker 2: It like that's not true at, all at, all at.
- 58:25Speaker 2: All they are, no, no, no, no, no that is not
- 58:29Speaker 2: psychological telling me as a woman what it is and
- 58:32Speaker 2: what it's.
- 58:32Speaker 4: Not i'm telling you it's not for all. WOMEN i am, no,
- 58:35Speaker 4: NO i am speaking for all, women because What i'm
- 58:37Speaker 4: saying is it is not something that is innate within.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Us there are some women that gravitate towards motherhood way
- 58:46Speaker 4: faster than. Others but it's not, like oh my, god
- 58:49Speaker 4: the baby is born and all women are automatically connected
- 58:52Speaker 4: to this. Baby that is absolutely not the. Truth like
- 58:55Speaker 4: some people have it, naturally some people. Don't some people
- 58:58Speaker 4: grow into, It LIKE i talk this all the time
- 59:00Speaker 4: with my, Sister like WHEN i came home With, parker
- 59:04Speaker 4: my baby fresh out a day and a half. OLD
- 59:07Speaker 4: i left her with my sister AND i left the
- 59:09Speaker 4: house like straight home from the.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Hospital my brain LIKE i just could.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Not it took me a couple of, Weeks LIKE i
- 59:19Speaker 4: went AND i literally went to the hair salon around
- 59:22Speaker 4: the corner to get a washing set because this was
- 59:24Speaker 4: my first time walking around in my body by myself
- 59:29Speaker 4: in months AND i don't, know like that shit fucked me.
- 59:31Speaker 4: Up and my sister was in the house With parker
- 59:34Speaker 4: for like two hours straight home from the hospital BECAUSE
- 59:37Speaker 4: i needed a minute to like grapple with everything that just, Happened, like,
- 59:43Speaker 4: YO i JUST i just had a, baby like that
- 59:45Speaker 4: shit took me a, Minute like, YO i really just
- 59:47Speaker 4: had A like that's, Crazy LIKE.
- 59:48Speaker 2: I don't even know what's happening right.
- 59:50Speaker 4: Now so it's not something that, like especially if you're
- 59:53Speaker 4: going through the baby, blues you go through, postpartum like
- 59:56Speaker 4: like you have to really connect with your baby and
- 59:59Speaker 4: it takes. While if god, forbid if you breastfeeding and
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: that baby is not latching and you feel like it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: something wrong with, you you had a, Problem like it's
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: so many different things than feelings that.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: HAPPEN i also feel like you get society pressures you
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: to have that connection more than it pressures men.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: To it not only pressures you to have that, connection
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: it pressures you to cosplay and not be okay with
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: saying THAT i don't have that. Connection and that's and
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: that's saying it makes you, like oh my, god is
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: this the happiest day of your? Life, actually, No i'm
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: terrified what The i'm?
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Doing.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Well people need to be honest about, that and.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: That's when you go through like the depressions and the
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: things like it takes a.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Lot BUT i also think that.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: The say, it it would make me feel more comfortable saying.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: It, yeah but you have to, realize like there's a
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: way to say this the right, way BUT i don't
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: want to say it the right. Way i'm gonna say
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: it my. Way you gotta, realize like you can't be
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: pussy about your, feelings and a lot of people are
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: a lot of people do not know how to sit
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: down and really articulate how they really, feel even when
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: it's like something that is not going to be wildly
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: receptive by the, Masses like you can't you could coseplay
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: and be, like oh my, God, yes this is the
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: happiest day in my. Life and you, Know i'm so
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: happy being a. Mom this is The my kid is
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: the best thing that ever happened to. Me love that
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: nigga down will do anything for, her don't, However, COMMA
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: i will.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Say, no, NO i don't. Care i'm. Gangster y'all can't
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: do nothing to.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: Me, However, comma if this was ten years, ago when somebody, say,
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: hey you gonna do it, Again i'll be, like, NAH.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: I told you not to do.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: It you, did like all the, way all the.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: Way.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Nah super love, her like that's that's my.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Everything LIKE i can't even articulate the LOVE i.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Have but there is always.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: Gonna be a morning of a life THAT i feel
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: LIKE i could have had IF i didn't have, kids
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: especially to the pretenses THAT i had a kid like
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: that shit was actually diabolically crazy mental.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Illness one on.
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: One BUT i will also, say just because people grow
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: up in a two parent household does not mean that
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: they grew up with a, Father like.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: There was your dad was in the.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Household dad was, there.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Because i've seen.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: It and then like a lot of people say, that
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: like when you think about Like caribbean households or Even african, households, like,
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: yeah that nigga there every, day but.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: That nigga will talk to, you he'll know. You he
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: don't ask you about your, day he never helped you
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: with your. Homework he's just. There he's just another body
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: in that.
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: House so then we some of us have like, this
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: this this notion of like some people come from a
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: two parent. Household, yeah but that doesn't mean THAT i
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: had a two parent household experience because at the end
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: of the, day my mom was just a, married single.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: Mother and that's something that we see play out a
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: lot in a lot of different dynamics and households.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Too i've seen it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Read single, Mothers yeah right, Now i've seen.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: It i've seen it in my.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: Family i've Seen i've seen it like odds with my,
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: grandfather that nigga was never not, home he was there every.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Day i'm just, like, yo what do you do?
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Here like you just here, Though And i'm the, Teenager
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: LIKE i remember having a conversation with my stepfather, like,

- 1:03:29Speaker 4: know my best, Friends LIKE i speak to you all the.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Time, like you don't know what's going? On what's my favorite? Color? Nigga,
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: like do you?
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: Know and the answer is, No ask my. Mom she
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: could tell you all these things you was. Around, yeah,
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: cute but it's not the. Same sometimes it's better off
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: not even having an extra nigga in the house because
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: then you grow up thinking that that's what love. Is
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: love is, disconnect love is just being at the table
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: or just being in the, house when at the end
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: of the, Day i've never seen love from these two.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: PEOPLE i don't even think your niggas like each other for.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: REAL i just think y'all both here because it's.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Cheap of the keeper that. Way she was sick in
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: the situation that, Way.
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: Kelly, yeah it's a tough it's a tough situation the
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: identity of, father especially. SOCIETALLY i keep saying the word
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: society BECAUSE i think it's important that women and men
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: understand the pressure that we're put under to be successful
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: and to, provide and we're not held under the same
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: scrutiny to raise our children as women are facts WE'RE
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: i THINK i feel like we're looked at as less
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: than a. Man if you are not, successful or if
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: you do not provide for your. Family that just right,
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: there and that means any be, honest any woman that you're.
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: Around you're looked at as less successful if you don't
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: Have AND i think that starts around eleven years, old
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: twelve years. Old your, sneakers your, shorts your, shirt whatever it,
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: is your friend, group, whatever and maybe your book, bag
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: your hat with it starts.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: There AND i don't think.
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: That i'm not sure if, women AND i just don't
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: think that y'all face the same societal pressure to be
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: anything but.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Respectfully. Pretty i'm sorry for saying. THAT i don't. KNOW
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: i don't know what societal pressure y'all.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Have much more than y'all sometimes.
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: Pretty and maybe good, Mothers but even, THEN i don't
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: look at the world will ship on a nigga for
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: not being. Successful the world will literally like amvaluable you don't, Have.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: But the world will also ship on a woman for
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: being honest about how she really, feels or shot on
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: a woman for for doing things like Like i've said for,
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: years like, mothers single, mothers give these kids, today, fathers
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: by The tommy's kids is ten eleven years, old get
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: these kids to their dads like and that's the daughters and.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: Sons you gotta.
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Society the minute the woman that you're a bad, mother
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: and you're a bad. Mother the minute the kid lives
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: with the, father they ask where's the? Mother they think about,
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: it they like it's literally when a woman is dating
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: a man and the woman tells the, man oh, yeah
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: my child lives with the, father the man immediately looks
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: at her, like let, me let, me let, me let
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: me say two things real. Quick and it may be taken,
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: wrong but understand What i'm about to try to. Say
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: if women stop giving pussy the men that didn't take
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: care of their, kids he would hold a lot of
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: the men.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Accountable we already know that.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: You ain't say.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: None, well let me just intersect real quick and then
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: you can.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: FINISH i think a lot of men start becoming better
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: fathers because of social, media because now you're holding the,
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: time health the. Task now you're, health you're getting healthy.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: Task now if, women if women say you know, WHAT
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: i see you here every. Day you got a, kid
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: AND i SEE i see you at my crib all the,
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: time BUT i never you, NEVER i never.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: See you running. SCHOOL i never see you Running. Jimmy
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: but you always hear laid up blah blah.
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: Blah it would change a lot of the ship and
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: whole men. Accountable same THING i can say with men
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: if men started holding more women women accountable in today's, society,
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: women some women have to sharpen this shit.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Up hell, yeah plain in facts right?
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: Yep also men, too real quick inter set? Again, yeah
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: why don't we hold out male friends that? Can, Actually
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: first of, ALL i don't do business WITH i don't
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: interact with. Anybody if you have kids and you don't
- 1:07:42Speaker 6: take your, kids you can't be a part of my.
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: Life but like you feel thinking right, now WHY i
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: ain't never had? Autism back barbecue for my. Kids my
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: son is, autistic sending a letter to the to the
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: to the, school email to, School, yo bring the kids,
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: over have a.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: BARBECUE i don't know how to spend the money on
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: as a.
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: CONVERSATION i, mean you're gonna have you understand what a
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: conversation actually over and or call my friends, Like, yo
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: we're doing a barbecue or. Whatever i'm doing something, cheese
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: whatever may. Be exactly pull up and make it more. Fashionable.
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: RESPECTFULLY i know that's a hard. Word actually that's a
- 1:08:12Speaker 6: bad probably bad word to actually.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Breathe around your.
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: Kids the show up in places with your child because the, moments.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: But also the intention out send the mothers, away like
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: let mothers be like, listen this is not for, you
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: this is not a mom. Day like drop these kids.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: Off i'll tell you when to pick them. Up cool
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: and go go on your. Way go do whatever it
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: is that you want to. Do you don't see it
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: enough and it needs to.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Happen is that.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: WHEN i love just. COMING i GOT i got, TWO
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: i got two, Sons kat and the. Camera right when
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: my first son was, born OR i found out that
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: she was bringing my first.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Son the immediate switch one.
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: ON i don't know if it makes sense for some,
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: men but there was like a switch that just kind
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: of immediately kicked in because it's, like, WELL i got
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: to protect this little. LIFE i gotta teach, HIM i
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: gotta feed. Him and there's nothing but wolves and sharks,
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: outside all, right and the scumbags of this planet or
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: pedophiles on. RAPISTS i feel like they should be walked
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: across the de militariation zone Between North korea And South
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: korea and just blow them all, up or we use
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: them as target practice for. MILITARY i agree STRAIGHT i
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: murdered pedophile. QUICKLY i hate. Anyway my first time was
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: born be meet. It WHEN i held that boy for
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: the first time in the, hospital as soon as he came,
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: out as soon as he popped out the. Pussy, NO
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: i don't mean to sound as, derogatory, right but soon
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: as he popped out AND i held this land for
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: the first, TIME i don't know what it. Was it
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: was some sort of feeling that came over me of
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: undescribable love that doesn't that you can't, explain you can't,
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: describe you can only. Feel and the immediate thought PROCESS
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: i have to protect this. CHILD i have to, teach
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: so that means every daycare he went. To first of,
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: all he wasn't going to. Daycare he was coming to
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: my house until he was old enough to go to
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: daycare and can speak and tell me who took.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Me to the bathroom?
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: Today what time he went to the bathroom today with the?

- 1:10:07Speaker 6: day so you. Understand but that's what we can't get
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: away with the. Bullshit AND i write letters like white.
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: Women SO i will have your whole, administration from, top
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: your director to regional. Everybody everybody going to get c
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: seed to let you. Know And i'm a big black
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: motherfucker THAT i get, angry But i'll get busy by.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: Mine so the fact of me having this child for
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: the first, time ALL i could think. Of No one was, like,
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: SHIP i want him to look like. Me he's gonna play.
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: SPORTS i want to play For Notre. Dame you're gonna

- 1:10:40Speaker 6: This we're, like, yo, yeah and my first, SON i literally,
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: said my first. Time he's gonna be the first ROUND nfl.
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: Pick AND i try to throw this thing at the.
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: Football he be, LIKE i hate, Football, Dad BUT i
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: JUST i JUST i just fully say that to, say, LIKE,
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: yo having a child changed the structure of my dynamic
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: and thingking and, psyche, right and that's what it's it
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: naturally is supposed to do. That but you said something
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: that's true instinctally for everybody that's not three hours it
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: Happen not everybody wants to have. Children not everybody wakes up, like,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: Yo i'm gonna be a dad one. Day not Every,
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: no some dudes just busting nothing and it didn't work,
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: out and they was, like, well guess what we hear,
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: Now so what are we gonna?
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: Do?
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: Right some women just be, like, Well i'm gonna get
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: to get to my. Mom i'm gonna live my. Life
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: and some women that literally got six months old boot
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: And i'm on the plane and them out and, yeah
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: my mom gonna figure it.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: Out so that's not for.
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: Everybody me on the other, hand WHEN i had mine
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: and when the second one, came it's because you were.
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: Cancer that's why. YOU i want to know EVERY i
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: need to know every facet you. KNOW i, mean, unfortunately,

- 1:11:41Speaker 6: now where unfortunate the course are.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: Involved SO i got to kind of just, say you know, What,
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: YEAH i got, IT i got. It But i'm gonna
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: wait on the side like this and watch Watch. Jesus
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: but y'all got. It y'all got. It when you're, ready call,
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Me nah.

- 1:12:03Speaker 6: across the street from my. CHILDREN i bought a house
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: across the street from them to take them full. Time
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: that's what that.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: Was that was the. Agreement but you, know things. Happening things,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Happening and it was, like now you're in.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: Corporate why are we here IF i live across the.
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: Street IF i live across the street and, said give
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: me the two, children let me raise. Them i'm here
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: with give me the two. Children why are we? Here
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: why are we seeing a? Judge did you disagree with
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: doing the child? Support DO i disagree with? IT i
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: have no problem taking care of any child that is, mine, financially, emotionally,
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: mentally if it's my, child it's mighty out of.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: This give me.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: THAT i don't mean it, sounds But i'm being VERY
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: i didn't from up hereavy, boys let's go to.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: Break IF i had one another, THING i say say
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: What i'm trying to. Say so that's my.
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: Thing that's my thought process in terms of like some
- 1:13:09Speaker 6: people that say that's like no for, me, dog it
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: was like it was like a light.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: Switch it was like there's no turning.
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: Back, now there's no turning back BECAUSE i got to send
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: this child out to the, world got of BUT i
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: die or something like.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: That this kid is not prepared for what the world
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: really has the store for.
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: You So i'm gonna do every fucking Thing I'm i'm
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: gonna get on every, song every, comedy every, movie, everything
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: WHATEVER i gotta do to put myself in. Position i'm
- 1:13:26Speaker 6: one to not have to work for the system to
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: provide some mine or. Create so it teach to my, Kid,
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: hey you don't have to work for you can. Create
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: you can think outsie of the. Matrix the matrix designed
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: to keep you in. Trap but guess WHAT i think
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: a little bit outside of that. BOXING i promise you you're
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: gonna be. Ayes so this is What the only thing
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: THAT i have to retort to, that And i'm not,
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: disagreeing is that was always my, play. RIGHT i gotta
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: make SURE i. Provide just REMEMBER i said, That and
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: a lot of your fathering statement came from making sure
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: they have and making sure you're successful that you could
- 1:13:56Speaker 6: show them they need you on it, daily they need.
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: You they need you the same LIKE i didn't do
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: the diapers AND i didn't do the things BECAUSE i
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: was busy doing the things worried about your, family worried
- 1:14:09Speaker 6: about you, know being.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: This but because y'all keep thinking that other space.
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: Right, right there was too much empty space of time
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: that should have been, bonding should have been, talking should
- 1:14:23Speaker 6: have been, teaching should have been, walking should have been,
- 1:14:25Speaker 6: showing should have been, relating, right that was filled up
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: with all of this other. Information And i'm speaking about
- 1:14:32Speaker 6: my godson right, now AND i also speak about my,
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: daughter but me and her speak a lot more, now,
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: Right but there was there was too much space WHERE
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: i was thinking about this grandiose idea of providing and.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: Father what's to look?
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: Like but she was getting all of this information from
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: other places WHERE i was supposed to be. There you
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: understand What i'm. Saying and so for the, men we
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: have to for lack of a better, word, mother it's
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: not just for you have the, parents it's not just for.
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: Them all of those, things all of those moments should
- 1:15:04Speaker 6: be shared experience between, parents not just the mother do
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: this and the father do. That they're gonna say What i'm,
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: Saying AND i think we don't realize.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: What fills up the empty space when we're. Out we don't.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: Realize it's difficult question So dodge pointed, out like middle
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: school is a very impressional, age AND i, Agree, Right
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: is there a, point you, know speaking on your, godson
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: my condolences by the, way and just in general to,
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: you to you, towbo is there point where it might
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: be too? Late like is there a point where we
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: have to step in before a certain age or? Else
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: it's like they're already who they.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: Are, oh you want to ask me? That BECAUSE i
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: got to. ANSWER i just want to ask the. Room go, ahead,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: honestly between fourth grade and seventh, grade that is that's your.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: Window sixth grade and seventh, GRADE i promise you that's your, window,
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: remember because that's when that's what you have to, Understand
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: like that's when boys they start feeling themselves like they,
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: yes like all of these things start, happening like the
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: the social aspect of, it and the girls come into,
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: play and your homeboys and having to put on and
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: then like thinking about grades and thinking about school and
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: the importance of and thinking about how you look like
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: all of fourth grade to seventh. Grade if you ain't
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: got your son locked in by seventh, grade you want
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: a different type of uphill, battle because by eighth grade
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: they swear that they hot.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Shit they think that they've grown.
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: Like because in their, heads, right they walked into middle
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: school and they was, little they were still little. Babies
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: now they, taller they might have a little facial. Here
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: they boys didn't got deep and they probably didn't have
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: their four first. Girlfriend now by eighth, grade we're thinking about, it,
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: Right they don't realize how little they are until they
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: go to high.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: School in eighth.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: Grade you big man on campus in middle, school so
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: you're not thinking, like, yo, Like i'm really a little
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: nigga in, here like because by the TIME i go
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: to high, school Now i'm around grown men for. Real
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: But i'm the grown man in. HERE i walk around
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: here a certain type of, WAY i move a certain
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: type of. Way And i'm gonna tell, y'all LIKE i said, before, drugs, vapes, sex, porn,
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: gangs all of.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: That ship start in fifth. Grade all that shit started
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: grade fifth.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: Grade is either you already know about it and you
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: about to start trying, it or you see it for
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: the first time and now you get into.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: It part of me For, Interjecson but, so what if,
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: anything can we do to the high school boys that's
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: going down the wrong, path like what do you do?
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: See high school boys is a little bit different because
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: you can you can catch. No, no, NO i. DON'T i
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: don't want us to ever give up on our young black. Boys,
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: mmmm that's not.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: TRUE i.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Lie some of them told.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: You and that's the.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: One that's the one that that is the that is
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: the biggest lesson THAT i learned in education was like
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: you you have this this theory like you can save
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: them all and like you're gonna get them. All and
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: then once you it's that, broken heartened experience where you,
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: realize LIKE i cannot save all of. Y'ALL i can
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: save WHO i can, save and the rest of y'all
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: is really up to, You god and your. Parents at this,
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: POINT i CANNOT i can't fuck with.
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: Y'all like.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: That high school is a little bit. Different you gotta
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: work a little bit harder to figure out how to
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: pull them away from what's easy for. Them and that
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: is a big pull because you're looking at somebody that's
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: damned near grown and like you're trying to like, again
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: you're compating all of the different things that they already,
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: know the, norms the people that they hang out. With
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: so that's WHY i, say, like especially middle going to high,
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: School like y'all gotta be the safe space for these.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Kids like the kids they should not be in the.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Streets they should be at.
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: Your, House like you should have the fucking big screen
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: TVs and all of the fucking games in the world
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: and all of the snacks in the, world and you
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: should be like pouring into the like you gotta keep
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: these kids super close to you as men and be
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: that neighborhood, dad that neighborhood, uncle because if, not it's
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: so easy for them to slip into the cracks and
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: be outside too late with the wrong, people doing the wrong.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: Thing and you gotta work super. Hard if you don't
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: get them by seventh, grade you gotta work ten times
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: harder to reel them back. In and that's that's, difficult
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: and which is WHY i think THAT i personally like
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: my life's devotion is to that short sweet spot between
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: fifth grade and seventh grade WHERE i try my best
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: to get. THEM i try my best to get, them
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: keep them and hoold them close because eighth, grade they
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: they're fucking.
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: GONE i kind of. DISAGREE i don't.
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: DISAGREE i just feel, like, yeah our balls, drop our
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: balls get filled up with.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: Testosterone fourth, grade.
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: Right and so when you said, that the voice, changes
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: the world gets. Bigger so she's absolutely right that fourth
- 1:20:18Speaker 6: to seventh. Grade when you go from sixth grade to
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: seventh grade or eighth grade to ninth you're now you
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: didn't even know.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: How big the world was.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: Before all of a, sudden you got friends From, queen's
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: you got friends from over, here and now you got more.
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: Freedom Friend lebron James, Dad Lebron james's dad or some
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: shit like.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: That you know What i'm.
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: Saying you got all of this. Information you understand before
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: that you just saw. Cars now you know where the
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: bends is and THE bmw is and a, camera you
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: know the you know, what the small deep buggy that
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: nobody thinks it's.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Cool and you know What i'm.
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: Saying you, know all of a, sudden when you was
- 1:20:56Speaker 6: Wearing Patrick ewens on your feet, before and now you

- 1:21:18Speaker 4: Mids like what kind of life you want this child to?
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: Live like?
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: That before can we get the black? Out i'm, like
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: just like four hundred, dollars, Bro you're Not you're gonna
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: grow out in two.
