- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York. He's on the case the Mark Simon
- 0:03Speaker 1: Show on seven tenor well, hey, we knew her when
- 0:09Speaker 1: she was just Monica Crowley. She is now the Chief
- 0:13Speaker 1: of Protocol of the United States of America. She is
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Ambassador Monica Crowley, Madam Ambassador. How you doing?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hi, Good morning, Mark. I'm doing well.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Although I have to say keeping up with President Trump
- 0:28Speaker 3: is quite the project.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Oh I don't know. I was every in the New
- 0:31Speaker 1: York Times. Apparently he's cognitive whatever, he's falling asleep.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I mean, you know, the propagandaize coming from the mainstream
- 0:41Speaker 3: media just never stop.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It is the exact opposite.
- 0:46Speaker 3: You know, you would think that if they wanted to
- 0:48Speaker 3: lie about President Trump, and they have for the last
- 0:51Speaker 3: eleven years.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Since he became a leader and a candidate and a president,
- 0:57Speaker 2: but you would think that it would have like semblance
- 1:01Speaker 2: of believability. This is like President Trump literally never sleeps.
- 1:06Speaker 2: He is going around the clock.
- 1:08Speaker 3: There is no such thing as a day off, there
- 1:11Speaker 3: is no such thing as a weekend.
- 1:12Speaker 2: It is NonStop with.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Him, and it is all geared to the American people
- 1:17Speaker 3: to bringing America back, making America great again, getting our
- 1:22Speaker 3: economy back, on track, which is why he was back
- 1:25Speaker 3: doing a rally in Pennsylvania yesterday. It is about securing
- 1:29Speaker 3: peace around the world, to make sure that conflicts around
- 1:32Speaker 3: the world are minimized and ended, which brings greater prosperity
- 1:37Speaker 3: to their regions, to the world, and to the United States.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The man never stops.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, if they weren't so corrupt, it's a more fascinating story.
- 1:47Speaker 1: They could be reporting that no president ever behaved like this.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Usually it's a press conference two weeks from Monday. Nobody's
- 1:53Speaker 1: ever had four hundred press conferences a day or just
- 1:57Speaker 1: events around the clock. And do you sometimes not even
- 2:02Speaker 1: know where you're going to be, what city? The way
- 2:04Speaker 1: he moves and keeps moving.
- 2:06Speaker 2: It is nonsense.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Every day I wake up, Mark and I'm like, Okay,
- 2:09Speaker 3: what kind of adventure is going to be coming at
- 2:12Speaker 3: me today?
- 2:13Speaker 2: And it really is an adventure. Every day is a blessing.
- 2:16Speaker 3: But I have to say, at the end of last week,
- 2:19Speaker 3: I in the space of seventy two hours, Mark, I
- 2:23Speaker 3: went from dealing with the President of Rwanda to the
- 2:28Speaker 3: president of FIFA and FIFA legends to Jane Simmons of.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Kiss Yeah, tell us about it.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Literally in seventy two hours. It's just extraordinary.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, tell us about the Kennedy Center. Looked really great.
- 2:43Speaker 1: That's a Sunday night ceremony.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely amazing. So on Thursday last week, the President
- 2:50Speaker 3: presided over a peace deale between the presidents of Rwanda
- 2:54Speaker 3: and the Congo and that conflict has been going on
- 2:57Speaker 3: for thirty five years, so he brokeer that peace deal
- 3:00Speaker 3: and we did that, and then on Friday at the
- 3:03Speaker 3: Kennedy Center, we hosted FIFA for the twenty twenty sixth
- 3:07Speaker 3: final draw for the World Cup next year, which President
- 3:10Speaker 3: Trump heroically brought to the United States back in his
- 3:14Speaker 3: first term. So we did that on Friday, and then
- 3:17Speaker 3: all weekend we celebrated at the Kennedy Center for the
- 3:22Speaker 3: Kennedy Center Honors, which was taped on Sunday, and it's
- 3:26Speaker 3: going to air, I believe on December twenty third on CBS,
- 3:30Speaker 3: so the rest of the country will get to see
- 3:32Speaker 3: what we saw live on Sunday night. And it was
- 3:36Speaker 3: just magical. We had so many acts that are just
- 3:41Speaker 3: purely American icons, like George Strait and Kiss and Gloria Gaynor,
- 3:47Speaker 3: Sylvester Stallone.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It was just absolutely magical.
- 3:52Speaker 3: To see all of these phenomenal acts get their due.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Michael Crawford of course, get their do with tributes and
- 4:01Speaker 3: then tribute performances. So I encourage everybody to watch on
- 4:05Speaker 3: December twenty third on CBS because.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You will love the show.
- 4:08Speaker 3: But really, Mark, that's another project that President Trump has
- 4:13Speaker 3: taken under and turned around.
- 4:15Speaker 2: He has saved the Kennedy.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Center, which is one of America's great cultural institutions.
- 4:21Speaker 2: He has saved it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you know a lot of stuff is going on.
- 4:24Speaker 1: People don't realize. Apparently the infrastructure was crumbling at the
- 4:27Speaker 1: Kennedy Center. He had to fix that. He's fixed up
- 4:30Speaker 1: every inch of the White House, the entrance to this,
- 4:33Speaker 1: the that, not to mention the ballroom and all that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But the boy, he doesn't get any credit for that.
- 4:40Speaker 2: He really, No, he doesn't, but I'll tell you he will.
- 4:45Speaker 3: He will because he really believes said our capital city, Washington,
- 4:50Speaker 3: d C. Should be a sparkling gem. And that is
- 4:54Speaker 3: why he is moving on all fronts to turn our
- 4:57Speaker 3: capital city into that shining city on a hill that
- 5:00Speaker 3: Ronald Reagan talked about when he talked about America. But
- 5:04Speaker 3: President Trump really believes that the entire country will follow
- 5:08Speaker 3: suit if our capital is cleaned up and made safe.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And that's why we have the National Guard on the streets.
- 5:16Speaker 3: And we had that horror happened right around Thanksgiving where
- 5:20Speaker 3: we had two National guardsmen shot and one unfortunately passed away.
- 5:25Speaker 3: One is struggling for his life still.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But he has.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Actually ratcheted up the National Guard present since that horrific shooting. Washington,
- 5:36Speaker 3: d C now is incredibly safe, much safe for them
- 5:40Speaker 3: where you were now sparkling, and it does extend to
- 5:43Speaker 3: our institutions as well, like the Kennedy Center. He has
- 5:47Speaker 3: done all of that while turning the US economy around,
- 5:53Speaker 3: while brokering peace deals around the world.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Again, the man never stops for good.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Hey, now, Monica Crowley, as Chief of Protocol, all the
- 6:03Speaker 1: world leaders come to the White House, they first meet
- 6:05Speaker 1: with you, and we see you greet them, and you're
- 6:07Speaker 1: sitting with them and you're talking with them. What do
- 6:10Speaker 1: you notice they all have in common, all the different
- 6:12Speaker 1: world leaders, as far.
- 6:14Speaker 2: As that's a really yeah, that's a really interesting question. Mark,
- 6:18Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yes, I mean my office and I've got an absolutely
- 6:24Speaker 3: phenomenal team.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I cannot do any of this without them. They are
- 6:28Speaker 2: just incredible.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And what we do is manage the diplomatic engagements for
- 6:33Speaker 3: the President, the Vice president, and the Secretary of State.
- 6:37Speaker 3: So I am I am obviously hooked to the President
- 6:40Speaker 3: and these world leaders.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And I have to say.
- 6:44Speaker 3: That most of them, not all, but the vast majority
- 6:49Speaker 3: of these world leaders.
- 6:50Speaker 2: First of all, they.
- 6:52Speaker 3: When they come in, they all have a sense of
- 6:55Speaker 3: awe of the President and the White House in America.
- 6:58Speaker 2: They all understand where they are, and.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Even if they're meeting with the President elsewhere, like President
- 7:04Speaker 3: Putin of Russia met with President Trump in Alaska, so
- 7:08Speaker 3: not in the White House, but there is a fundamental
- 7:12Speaker 3: understanding that they are dealing with the world's superpower. And
- 7:16Speaker 3: President Trump is one of the few presidents in recent
- 7:19Speaker 3: history to understand the importance of American leverage and knows
- 7:25Speaker 3: how to use it. He knows he's sitting atop the
- 7:27Speaker 3: world's superpower militarily, economically, diplomatically, politically, culturally, and he leverages it,
- 7:35Speaker 3: and he knows how to leverage it. This is why,
- 7:37Speaker 3: you know, coming out of his business background is so invaluable.
- 7:42Speaker 3: But these world leaders understand, and I would say almost
- 7:45Speaker 3: all of them have said to me and to others.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You know, even if we disagree with President Trump on policy,
- 7:54Speaker 3: even if we have serious policy differences with the administration
- 7:59Speaker 3: with the United State, we all appreciate a strong American president.
- 8:05Speaker 3: They all appreciate that he is strong and that he
- 8:10Speaker 3: tells them the truth. Now, they may not like the truth,
- 8:14Speaker 3: they may not like what they're hearing from him, they
- 8:17Speaker 3: may disagree right, and they may want to counter it,
- 8:20Speaker 3: but they all understand that having a strong American hand
- 8:25Speaker 3: in the White House, sitting atop the country, they know
- 8:28Speaker 3: exactly where they stand. They don't have to waste time
- 8:32Speaker 3: guessing what does the president believe, where's American policy going.
- 8:36Speaker 3: They know exactly where they stand, and then they can
- 8:39Speaker 3: operate from there, and they all appreciate that more than
- 8:43Speaker 3: you know.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Wow, well, hey, we only got about thirty seconds left.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You got the most important, glamorous job. But tell the truth.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You miss us, you miss New York, you miss the
- 8:52Speaker 1: radio and TV, don't you.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Well. I am so blessed to be in this job,
- 8:57Speaker 3: and I thank God every day, and I thank the
- 8:58Speaker 3: President for having the confidence in me to do this job.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It is incredibly important and I'm just so grateful. But
- 9:05Speaker 2: I am a New Yorker.
- 9:07Speaker 3: So while I'm in DC doing this job, while President
- 9:09Speaker 3: Trump is in office, as long as they will have me,
- 9:12Speaker 3: I am still a New York girl, and I pray
- 9:15Speaker 3: and hope that we will survive the Mondommie years and
- 9:19Speaker 3: that he will moderate because you know, New York City
- 9:22Speaker 3: is the capitalist gem, the cultural gem of this country,
- 9:27Speaker 3: and it cannot go the way of a San Francisco
- 9:31Speaker 3: or a Seattle or Portland. It cannot be gutted. And
- 9:34Speaker 3: so I hope him pray that while you're all there,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you guys, every New Yorker will work hard to save
- 9:40Speaker 3: our city.
- 9:41Speaker 1: All right, Well, Monica Crowley, keep up the great work. Hey,
- 9:44Speaker 1: next time we'll talk about this coming year. You got
- 9:45Speaker 1: the biggest events and coming this next year. But great job,
- 9:50Speaker 1: Monica Crowley, Ambassador, Monica Crowley, Chief of Protocol of the
- 9:54Speaker 1: United States. You're doing a great job. Thanks for being
- 9:56Speaker 1: with us.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Thank you so much much.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Mark and Christmas, all right, Merry Christmas, take care. Hey,
- 10:03Speaker 1: don't forget coming up at noon, it's Buck Sexton and
- 10:06Speaker 1: Clay Travis with an excellent show. And then you got
- 10:10Speaker 1: the most listened to radio show in America. Sean Hannity
- 10:12Speaker 1: at three, Jesse Kelly at six, and you should be
- 10:15Speaker 1: listening now. Every night at nine, we got a fabulous
- 10:19Speaker 1: new show. Every night at nine, it's Jimmy Fayla. On
- 10:22Speaker 1: seven to ten, wor
