- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome back to the North Florida sports network.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It's snake big time we got out with us so bad.
- 0:24Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 0:30Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 0:31Speaker 2: It's snake big time, so let's come on with it.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yes, sir, you were in Huntsville last week.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Rather big win 42-28.
- 0:40Speaker 1: 42-28.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Beautiful day in Huntsville, about 16,000 people in attendance.
- 0:46Speaker 2: First off, I want to shout out Mr Howard, who was a very, very nice gentleman he's over me Over there and Ms Claudia Pritchard, who was the assistant to the vice president.
- 0:58Speaker 2: So very, very great hospitality Bulldogs.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Hey, one thing about them they show, even though they bulldogs, they got good manners.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Well, what happened on the defense?
- 1:12Speaker 1: They were able to get a lot of points and yards against that dark cloud defense.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 2: But here's the thing the rattlesjump not 17-0 in the first quarter, real fast was a little like he's going to hang at least 60 points on them.
- 1:25Speaker 2: But I've been in Alabama before and I know how some bulldogs are.
- 1:30Speaker 2: They do all that kind of stuff.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So they came back with that barking and biting man.
- 1:35Speaker 2: They put the dark cloud defense to the test.
- 1:38Speaker 2: But what I like to see in my favorite thing of the game, that I really noticed the defense was struggling.
- 1:46Speaker 2: The offense stepped up, yes, so that is a complete team.
- 1:51Speaker 2: The rattles are getting more real rounded as we go into the later of the season, man.
- 1:56Speaker 2: So it was a good showing, believe it or not.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Stepwise the game looked a lot closer if you go by stats.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Sammy had 348 total yards versus 339.
- 2:06Speaker 2: For the Alabama A&M Bulldogs Sammy Rampon 103, alabama A&M 58.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Moosa pass to 245 on 14 of 14 of 27.
- 2:15Speaker 2: He had one to one, one in the inception and one touchdown, and the Bulldogs had 281 passing yards.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So on paper, numbers wise it looked like Alabama and it would be the winner.
- 2:28Speaker 2: But the rattles for real.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Well, they're number nine in the FCS polls, man Top 10.
- 2:37Speaker 2: This number nine?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Listen, the rattles are number nine right now.
- 2:39Speaker 2: What jersey I got on number nine?
- 2:42Speaker 1: I see.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I see Pat Barnum, in my opinion, the greatest quarterback in family history.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, one year pass for Obam.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Almost $5,000 in one year.
- 2:56Speaker 2: So anytime you get close to this, I put it on my favorite, my favorite rattler all the time besides Wally Williams, of course is Pat the mad Barma Bonner.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So I'm hearing that a moosa Is it might not start this week.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, moosa might not start going into this game because we're playing Lincoln University.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I want to say they haven't won a game yet If they did the only one one.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So I think we should sit, moosa.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I think it's a good decision to even have it on the table, um, just to sit in and let another person start, because you got to remember we have to have life at the moosa.
- 3:40Speaker 2: And one thing I would like to see that a great coach does start implementing getting this back of quarterback acclimated when you don't have to see it.
- 3:47Speaker 2: That's going up.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So this is the perfect time to let the back of quarterback start, because you have a favorite in this game this week.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But one thing I can say the rattler playing the tub is team they ever played.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Every single week.
- 4:01Speaker 2: New team, new week, tough opponent.
- 4:05Speaker 2: We got the target on our backs.
- 4:07Speaker 2: The road to Atlanta comes through Tallahassee's sweat championship December 2nd.
- 4:12Speaker 2: So, like I said, the road to Atlanta goes to Tallahassee.
- 4:17Speaker 2: That we are on.
- 4:18Speaker 2: We are our worst enemy.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We can beat it ourselves, so we can't slip or we can't overlook anyone.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But you're playing against an O and 11 team.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Oh and 11.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 4:31Speaker 2: They haven't even won one.
- 4:33Speaker 2: They come in and I hope they're looking to win.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You just got to execute.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You want to execute, it's going to be the back of quarterback for FAMU.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yep.
- 4:48Speaker 1: All right, what else you got for me?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Hey, it's a great time to be a talent.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Have you got a sort of thing you?
- 4:57Speaker 1: know what's up is.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Uh, so you're thinking about the celebration bowl, right, man?
- 5:02Speaker 1: Who's the matchup?
- 5:03Speaker 1: What's it looking like?
- 5:04Speaker 1: What are the?
- 5:04Speaker 1: What are the matchups looking like after?
- 5:06Speaker 1: But after the, uh, after the thing could be, they look at our center.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Look at, look at our center.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Currently right number seven, we're at number nine.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Um, they got a great.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I can say they got great uh office, a wonderful office Period, I guess.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I guess it's going to be a good matchup, If you even that's going to be probably the best celebration bowl matchup, probably in the history of celebration.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Well, I'll say what, coach you know, that's amazing for the.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I mean, the celebration bowl has got to be a static, but I just can't help to think that both of those teams should be in the playoff.
- 5:40Speaker 1: They do.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I mean, goodness gracious, You're talking about two top 10 teams and they're not even going to be participating in the playoff.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean, what are we doing?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:51Speaker 1: We've been talking about that for a while.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, cause one thing, yeah, cause we listen, you can go down and grab a hold about that.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Because one thing about FCS playoffs you have to put up money to go on the road, you have to put up money to host the game.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So it's it's bitter sweet that the rather won't be going into the playoffs Northern Carolina center Eagles um, because both teams will make a very good run and, um, if you see football, it's gotten much, much, it's gotten much better.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It was great at the center in the nines with air McNair, pat bond, things like that.
- 6:22Speaker 2: He has to move around and do different things now.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So, um, it's a wonderful thing to keep going and you know, let's just keep, keep.
- 6:30Speaker 2: We just we got to do something.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Also, we need to be coming out of me and in the sweat.
- 6:34Speaker 2: So hopefully we'll do that and stop playing a consolation game but it's not a consolation game, cause both teams get school, I mean get money from, from, uh, from sponsors and stuff like that.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So right now, financially, um, it might be the best decision.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Um for everything's run by money.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Man, it just says a football fan you want to see the best teams compete and you want to.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And then you know, I mean, I don't know, I just feel like the players deserve a shot, you know they do, they do, they put a lot into it and they're a good team and you know that's to him.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You know you put up a record.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You know you're going to be able to go play for a championship.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And uh, yeah, hands down, because I'm going to be honest and I'm going out on the limb and I'm going to say this because I am who I am.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I am Mr Snake bit, I am Mr Sam.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I'm going to say I'm going to say this because I'm going to say this, because I am who I am.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Since the Billy Joe team that lost up in Illinois, we had to do after that.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Oh, john, I was like Tressel was the coach.
- 7:42Speaker 2: No, that's the after that they lost the truck.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's a great quarterback I want to honor, but this is the best.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We get back to that type of football we haven't seen this type of football since the late nineties, or two dollars from the rattles and we hear baby shot the coach.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Coach shot going in the show going.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You heard it here first.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That's the name for coach shot going in the show going.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Hey well hey man.
- 8:06Speaker 2: He's doing it.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Oh, you heard that.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You heard it.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That's our ride, but we got a couple of minutes before we get on out of here.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yep, we got to go.
- 8:17Speaker 2: But the thing is you've got to understand right.
- 8:18Speaker 2: The name coach said it.
- 8:19Speaker 2: He said this is the best team I've probably ever had.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 8:23Speaker 2: He has put it in his bowl and we could bite it, man.
- 8:26Speaker 1: They're.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Just look back at that USF game.
- 8:28Speaker 1: A couple of mistakes, you know, but they were in it.
- 8:32Speaker 1: This is a good team man.
- 8:35Speaker 1: The Rattlers shotgun Simmons has something going over there.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to next year already, but we still got.
- 8:43Speaker 1: We still got a couple of games left and you got the big game in Orlando.
- 8:49Speaker 2: You got a class coming up against the Batoom Cooking Wildcat.
- 8:53Speaker 1: How are they this year?
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to that.
- 8:57Speaker 2: My first thing is first Lincoln University this Saturday.
- 9:00Speaker 1: We'll talk about that.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you got in and we got to do NFL picks later, man.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So, yeah, two o'clock, all right, man, y'all need to stay tuned for that.
- 9:10Speaker 1: We got that.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Then we got a lot of big games.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Fam you with the old school type game against a nobody.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I remember that, like this back in the day, they would put this game like on, you had to do pay per view or something to get it.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, remember that.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but it's going to be out and it was six o'clock.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and it really will just give you, take the late.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Well, you can get on out there to the home of the Florida High School State.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Playoffs is right down at Bragg too, so that's right, and it's going to be one of the most hostile and violent FCS.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Oh man, you don't come in there, it's going to be rolling.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yep, we told him.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I got to get rolling on these picks.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Man, I don't think I'm going to win that Latin judge this year.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Oh man, I think so.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I think you have a shot.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You got a shot.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I'm going with it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: All right, man, you got to drink some milk out of it.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That they do after the races, you know Florida.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Go for it.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Hey, Logan, back to give it to the next page.
- 10:22Speaker 1: All right.
- 10:23Speaker 2: No, it was a bad choice.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yes, it was Well.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I appreciate you coming on out.
- 10:28Speaker 1: As always, we'll be watching the Rattlers and the backup quarterback.
- 10:33Speaker 1: This weekend we got FSU Miami.
- 10:37Speaker 1: This weekend you got a bunch of NFL games.
- 10:39Speaker 1: We're going to watch them all.
- 10:40Speaker 1: We'll react to them all when talking to you next time, right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Roger that.
