- 0:17So the Glory Podcast. It's March March Madness season is here, one of
- 0:26the best times of the year in my opinion. But then we get hit
- 0:29with some news today, gentlemen, not so good news here with athletics.
- 0:39Oh really, Dak, I believe your exact words were emergency two part pod
- 0:46question Mark. Oh, I won the second part of the NFL free agency
- 0:50that I can go on for hours about that. See see how long we
- 0:55can go. We'll just let you talk with NFL free agency. Go ahead,
- 0:59okay, you know But Saturday, I was sitting there and I said,
- 1:03if the Vikings don't sign Kirk Cousins, I'll be fine. If they
- 1:06let him, or if they sign him, I'll be fine. They let
- 1:07him go, I'll be fine. You know what. They didn't sign him.
- 1:11I was like, okay, this is all right. Saving money.
- 1:12Guess do we get Sam Donald? Are you shitting me? And what I'm
- 1:19reading this? They want to roll with him. They think they's given me
- 1:22the He's mere a quarterback. So in other words, you're not fine.
- 1:26No, we're not. I would pay I'd cut on my fingers off for
- 1:30Kirk Cousins. Are right now. If I watched Sam Donald. I swear
- 1:34to God give me Jeff Sims good God, Wow, I'd swallow that or
- 1:42hurry. That's the biggest skimp. Ten million dollars for that guy over number
- 1:49one overall pick or no, he was number two. I think I think
- 1:56he went too. He was up there because I got him on my fantasy
- 2:00my dynasty team and I dropped him. And what was his first pass in
- 2:06the NFL? Guess an interception fix six Dak. How are your other sports
- 2:15teams doing? You know, Oklahoma loss today, you're still with you?
- 2:19You got your Celtics shirt on. How are they doing? They're good After
- 2:24the world burned down after two losses, they're doing a lot better now.
- 2:30When they lose, it's like the biggest the whole world just ships on them.
- 2:34It's it's like a super Bowl when they lose. But you know what,
- 2:38they're back stumped out by Dean Wade in the fourth quarter. It's kind
- 2:44of a nerving like, I don't know any way, what else? What
- 2:50else you got? First act? You just how's how's everything going in your
- 2:53sports world? Celtics are still gonna win it all. I'll go on back,
- 3:00well if they may. I don't want to make tournament. Good god,
- 3:02they suck. They somehow pulled out a winningain Cincinnati. I don't know
- 3:07how. And that's the longer as not gonna make it. They would have
- 3:09lost that. I think they probably have been out. They should have lost
- 3:13it. Are still here's yes, they're offense awful, and here's good news.
- 3:22Porter Moses going to Paul, and that's good news for you. That's
- 3:28that's almost confirm. Yes, I don't want that guy, but yeah,
- 3:34that's that. That's about it, thank god. Go to Paul three and
- 3:37three and twenty sixteen. And how are your twins going to do this year?
- 3:45Well, they they went cheap. You're a billionaire owner, you go
- 3:49cheap. I mean they'll be all right. Their division sucks. Would you
- 3:54say, are all owners billionaires? How many are non billionaire owners out there?
- 4:00This guy just goes cheap. I hate him. I can't eve think
- 4:02what his name is, honestly, but I hate him. And they're gonna
- 4:05be They'll make the playoffs because their division sucks. That's about their story.
- 4:14So yeah, it's it's all going good. See in June when I'm on
- 4:17the parade, I I just want you to keep talking about your life.
- 4:21So we want to talk about the US. Oh, I see, I
- 4:26see what you're no one to see how long you could go? It's pretty
- 4:30entertaining life. I was one. I was wondering, know what happened to
- 4:34oscars today? Well, I don't know. You tell us, I think
- 4:41some oil money came into somebody. Yeah, I don't know. I mean
- 4:46that so I don't think that's the case. I don't that That's what some
- 4:53people think, is that A and M bought out Trev and paid him.
- 4:59Well, they did do that, well they did, they did do that,
- 5:01But I don't think that's the reason that he left. No, it
- 5:05was the money that enticed him away. The rumors around the internet is the
- 5:13Board of Regents and Governor Pillen, we're not all on board with Trev's vision.
- 5:18There's there there's something going on. I don't. I don't know what
- 5:23that is. I don't. I don't know that this will be the last
- 5:27we will hear a bit. I will say that I think there may be
- 5:30some more stuff coming. I don't. I don't know that. I don't
- 5:35have any inside source, but I just have a feeling that there's more things
- 5:42that will be coming out here around trev Albert's departure today. It happened pretty
- 5:47quick and pretty unexpected, very unexpected, and I don't think it's a good
- 5:56look for Puskar athletics at all or the university in general, and university is
- 6:03just a farm program. Now our president Texas a and m takes our a
- 6:09d a chancellor retire or it just it it's not good right now. And
- 6:16I think a lot of the things that I've been seeing it is much much
- 6:20bigger than sports, and and it's more politics. It's more that's what the
- 6:30buzz is the board and the governor when Tom more conservative leadership at the university
- 6:35because they feel it's leaning to liberal as far as an education institution. And
- 6:41that's why you're seeing all these leaders bounce because they're tired of the board and
- 6:45the governor telling them what to do. That's the rumor. I can't attest
- 6:48to it either way. I want to see this contract is that's that's the
- 6:53main thing. I want to see how much he got paid. We get
- 6:57Austin in my takes over here at all worried about the money, that's all
- 7:00he cares about. Well, that'll that'll explain. If he didn't get like
- 7:06a shitload of money. Then something was up. He will. He will,
- 7:11though, like I don't think that's the question. He's he's going to
- 7:14get paid more. I'm not going to say it's drastically more, but it
- 7:18it definitely, I don't think is the not say definitely, but I do
- 7:23not think that is the sole reason that he's leaving a job. So I
- 7:29didn't want to do this. Do this with you, with us young adults
- 7:32here on the podcast, and do some brainstormer here, Dak this is right
- 7:38right down your rally. So, but when when you're at a job,
- 7:42you're working anywhere any industry, could be part time, full time, what
- 7:49are certain reasons why you would leave dick head boss. Okay, it's a
- 7:59good answer. I would say, pays one. If some other jobs need
- 8:03to pay substantially more than your current job. Yep, hey, Bob hours,
- 8:11your hours are shitty. What else? Austin looking at it again into
- 8:18a more challenging position. You want to you want you want to grow yourself
- 8:26as as an individual. Another one, I think is just the actual substance
- 8:31of the work that you're doing, and then in conjunction with that, the
- 8:37people that you're around you don't get along with or you don't share the same
- 8:43views. What else, anything else you can think of? That's all I
- 8:48got. Closer to family, you know. If you're looking to move,
- 8:56Yeah, location, location. How about here's my hot take number one.
- 9:05So I told these guys. I told these guys that we're just going to
- 9:09bring a couple of hot takes. How About you left your job because you
- 9:13know you're in some sort of trouble. Yeah, And again I'm not saying
- 9:22that it's for sure happened or I know anything, but I just have a
- 9:26hunch. And my hot take is that something went down at the university that
- 9:31did not go through with whether it be breaking the law but maybe ethical,
- 9:39and that I think could tie into what we were saying a little bit earlier.
- 9:43But I am wondering if something happened with the whole situation there that caused
- 9:52tried to say, I don't want to find out what the result of this
- 9:54is going to be while I'm at the university and put myself in jeopardy of
- 9:58getting fired because of something that I did. So he decided to go somewhere
- 10:03else and start searching. Now, one thing that came to mind when I
- 10:07thought of that that I am now kind of going away from is the Paul
- 10:13Ashley Scoggin lawsuit against Amy Williams and and then Trev. Like my my initial
- 10:18first reaction was, oh boy, like, that's got some sort of substance
- 10:22and and again not saying that it was illegal, but maybe the lawyers think
- 10:28they have something on that, and it's going to come down to costing the
- 10:33university and or Trev and Amy like a significant amount of resources. So he's
- 10:41getting program is the one that would break the back? I don't, yeah,
- 10:46And that's why I'm leaning away from that. I'm wondering if there's something
- 10:48else though. My first hot take is that there's Trev got in some trouble.
- 10:54For as much as we all like Trev and and how well of a
- 11:00job he's done, I just think he might have gotten in trouble for this
- 11:03all to happen so suddenly, especially with the way he's talks. And I
- 11:09know people's minds can change, but it's not the money that's pulling them away.
- 11:13Something happened, And whether we will ever get insights into that information or
- 11:20not, I don't know, But that's my first hot take. Treve's in
- 11:22trouble. That is hot. I don't know, that's quick. It was
- 11:26quick. I think it's bad boss. That's what I'm leaning. I'm buying
- 11:31the online chatter, the fact that we don't have a president and we lost
- 11:37our president last fall, so I guess dive into that a little more.
- 11:41I think some people understand and I don't. I mean, I think I
- 11:46kind of understand how a university works, but explain that, like what you
- 11:50mean by bad boss. So typically the athletic director report to the chancellor and
- 11:58president. Correct, well, right now, there is no president. There's
- 12:01an interim president who is basically just an extension of the Board of Regents,
- 12:07which is also heavily influenced by the governor. And so really Truss been reporting
- 12:11to the Board of Regents and the governor. And I'm gonna guess that something
- 12:18happened there that he was getting pissed off off, pissed off about I don't
- 12:22know what, and that's why he was like, He's like, you know
- 12:26what, Texas and him called me, fuck it, I'm there, you
- 12:30go, and I'll go to the weird those weirdos. Because also there is
- 12:35a there is a leaked message that he sent to the staff. I was
- 12:39like, hey, sorry, I could do this the proper way. He
- 12:41could do it in person. It's been great working with you, blah blah.
- 12:43So that makes you know that it wasn't like a I've been thinking long
- 12:46about this. We're leaving on good terms. You know, they're letting me
- 12:50talk to everyone. It's hey, you're out the fucking building. He didn't
- 12:54give it two week notes, that's for sure. Yes, And Truy's done
- 12:58a good job. Right, so for another Power five type conference, it
- 13:03should say power to one of the SEC or Big ten programs to come calling.
- 13:09Is not a surprise because Treuv has done a really good job. I'm
- 13:13and produced some coaches and some leadership here Nebraska that I think has has helped
- 13:18our athletics. So I like to think of it, just to follow up
- 13:26with what Austin said too, is like your border of regents. Like think
- 13:28of it as your It's not completely apples to apples, but a board of
- 13:33directors for a large organization where they may not be you know, direct members
- 13:41of the institution, but they are. They are your board. They are
- 13:43the ones making the decisions for the university. The organization as a whole,
- 13:50and yes, those are those regents are elected and have direct political ties through
- 13:56the government. So there's a lot of messy stuff going on there, and
- 14:03I mean it's unfortunate that people like that have that much power and are able
- 14:09to think in such a way to piss someone like trev Alberts off that much
- 14:13to where he would want to leave potentially, Oh what a bummer. Though
- 14:22Trump was good as back. You think it's the money. You still think
- 14:24it's the money. No, I'm not. That's what I'm leaning towards.
- 14:31But see, I didn't I've been reading like all this stuff people about saying
- 14:37about how something else going on in the university. I didn't know what it
- 14:39was. To you guys said that, and I could see I could see
- 14:45that if they're that stuck up the border agents, I could see him saying
- 14:48through this, I'm dipping yep, Phillamer. I guess moving forward, and
- 14:58I know we have have no say at all, don cook. I know
- 15:03this is where it's going. Well what what what I think is interesting?
- 15:09And we talked about the media and our fans a lot on this podcast,
- 15:13and you know my opinion on our fans, how I think we're just constant
- 15:18kool aid drinking. I have no logic or reason when it comes to a
- 15:24lot of things that deal with Husker athletics. But Tom Chattel wrote an article
- 15:30today I'm one of the local media guys that said the regents take advantage of
- 15:35our fans because they support no matter what, they support anything. And I
- 15:43think that's a very valid statement, like there is no because here here.
- 15:46I also saw Larry the cable guy put his big post on Facebook or Twitter
- 15:50or something that basically said didn't really bash Trepp, but kind of did said
- 15:56if you're gone, then by see you and we're going to move on without
- 15:58you, and we're gonna move on to the next night. That that is
- 16:02a very next play, move on type mindset. But you're not gonna You're
- 16:07not gonna solve anything if we don't we don't want that guy anyways, and
- 16:11if we don't look at it from a university standpoint of saying, what the
- 16:15hell that we mess up on? I mean, we just lost someone that
- 16:18had has a lot of our programs moving in the right direction. So I
- 16:22don't know if anything's gonna get fixed because of this. But it all comes
- 16:26back to like Chautell said to me a little bit is the fans, like
- 16:30it ties back to just the constant, over the top support and not really
- 16:37caring about the issue or the problem and just saying, Nope, we just
- 16:41believe whatever whatever's gonna work is gonna work, and we're the quote unquote best
- 16:45fans ever. Like, I think that's still part of the problem when it
- 16:52comes to stuff even like this that is so distanced from an actual event.
- 16:56But I think there's ties there that go all the way back down to the
- 17:00fan base of Nebraska. Yeah, but there's also but I don't know,
- 17:08because like what are you supposed to do? Like it's like, well,
- 17:11I guess, like I have no control over any of that. You just
- 17:15hope that it doesn't leak into the other programs. Like how long's Rule gonna
- 17:21be around? Is he gonna leave now that Albert's gone? Right, Because
- 17:23that was the chain there was. Rule came because of Alberts, who came
- 17:26because of Chancellor Green. So it's mm hmmm all the way down. Yeah,
- 17:33I mean, who knows it? You're telling me that if Rule gets
- 17:36an offer from not saying Texas A and M, but another school like that
- 17:41in the sec that he's not gonna go all right, well that sounds great.
- 17:48I don't know, but maybe I mean John Cook active you know,
- 17:53active head coach and the basket volleyball athletic director question mark. Maybe I don't
- 18:02know. Yeah, I think for someone like that, who I thought probably
- 18:11got along very well with Trev. Mm hmm, there's gonna have to be
- 18:15a big change of direction from our regents and our governors, all that stuff
- 18:23that you talked about for John Cook to accept that position and think that he
- 18:29can do something that Trev couldn't. Because clearly something on Austin's take frustrated Trev
- 18:37to get him out of here. So we'll see, we'll see if that
- 18:41was the case where there is something more that comes out of it, like
- 18:44I think might be the case as well, it doesn't trickle down the wrong
- 18:48way where we lose all of the good things going for us, where the
- 18:52head coaches, you know, John Cook retires and Matt Rule leaves and Read
- 19:00leaves. You know, you just hope that that's not what's going to happen.
- 19:03And this is the best you felt about your basketball football team in a
- 19:06while, and you could just went down the shitter yep, well, I
- 19:11don't know football program. I'm still TV. I mean it's the best you
- 19:15felt about it since Frost probably took over. We've got a five star quarterback.
- 19:21Yeah, I guess is it's one of my hot takes. But Delan
- 19:23Roula got Trev Alberts to be a top ten paid athletic director commission. I
- 19:30was just doing your hot take. Is that n Rayola is the reason Trev
- 19:36got paid? Yep, that's not my one of my actual hot takes,
- 19:41but I mean it's probably partially true. Yeah, So moving on, Let's
- 19:47let's get off of this bloom and doom topic until we hear more. We
- 19:52do got to talk about in Braska basketball and what they're doing. Guys.
- 19:56I was listening to a National Action Network sports betting podcast for conference tournaments,
- 20:03and the favorite pick to win value pick to win the Big Ten tournament by
- 20:07all three guys was Nebraska, And I'm like, what world am I living
- 20:11on? Baby? See? See told me there plus eight hunters. Where
- 20:18are they fifth? Best to odds? Probably fifth or sixth? No,
- 20:22I think they were actually third? Really? Yeah? Okay, that that
- 20:27is good value because Purdue Purdue is like even money. Oh fuck, so
- 20:34that's why you got to be brain dead at put any money on that,
- 20:38Jesus. But I mean, look at Purdue side. I mean they're they
- 20:42have a banged up Northwestern and I mean they're almost to me, almost guaranteed
- 20:45in the championships. So yeah, you only got to win three, have
- 20:51you? Is this the first time in double buy for the Oscars in the
- 20:53Big Ten? No, we made it back in finished since in the ten.
- 21:00It is, yes, yeah, best finish in the Big Ten.
- 21:03We were double by in twenty eighteen four seed. We did not make the
- 21:07tournament that year, but huh here we are most likely projected to be in.
- 21:14And something else that I saw on Instagram too. We according to some
- 21:19Joe Lenardi metric, we are one of twenty one teams I can win the
- 21:23Big Dance based on like nine stabs that we meet. I can't just get
- 21:33just get a head chicken. We just want one win. The state might
- 21:38burn down if you win one game. No, I do think that Nebraska
- 21:45basketball is safely in the tournament. And I say that with about I mean
- 21:51ninety five ninety nine percent confidence just looking at everybody's projections and bracktology and then
- 21:59We just looking at the team that we have and how we're playing right now.
- 22:03We're playing very well and winning on the road at Michigan like we should
- 22:07have on Sunday, and then punching our ticket to getting the three seed double
- 22:14by and now get the winner of Indiana and Penn State or Michigan. I
- 22:21think they're playing right now, So yeah, I like that matchup in more
- 22:26in a good position. I do think even if we lose, I don't
- 22:29think we will actually lose. I think the way we're playing, we should
- 22:32we should win those games. Indiana is playing better, but we went to
- 22:37Indiana and beat them just a few weeks ago, so I think I like
- 22:41our chances even getting to the semi finals and maybe making some noise. So
- 22:48it is a very good spot for basketball right now, and it's exciting to
- 22:52see what this team can do come tournament time next week. Yeah, I
- 23:00don't get oh good for DK. I don't think there's any shot even if
- 23:06they lose by thirty and that that game is the quarterfinal game. I don't
- 23:11think there's any shot they're not in. But how in the hell is Michigan
- 23:15State and projected nine seed Nebraska is ten the Michigan State's like nineteen and fifteen
- 23:22or something like that to this Michigan State. Yeah, it's it's all about
- 23:26names in college. I'm I'm looking at some of these teams. Even Oklahoma
- 23:30they're a nine projected eight nine. There's no way in the hell they should
- 23:33be. Yeah. I mean Nebraska's non conference. You look at our schedule,
- 23:37it was not super strong, and Case State looked like to be a
- 23:41really good win. Case State's now on the outside looking in hoping they can
- 23:45still make it. But we didn't have much in the non conqueras. Those
- 23:48teams did play and won a couple of those games, so you do have
- 23:53that. But I do think that Nebraska is as deserving, if not Mortars
- 24:00were being than teams like that. The other one that I saw is like
- 24:03the higher seed than that as Boise State. In Boise State's like in the
- 24:07top twenty five or just outside and I just pulled it up randomly. They
- 24:10haven't played anybody all year in the Mountain West and they've won a couple Like
- 24:15I'm like, why is a team like that who has the same wrecord as
- 24:18us ahead of us playing whoa whoa? WHOA? Hold up? No mount
- 24:22West landerd here, Mountain West is freaking good? Yeah, yeah, I
- 24:26know every year, goddamn BA, that's one of my hot takes. Someone
- 24:30from the Mountain West and winning it at all, winning it all? Yep.
- 24:36I'm not gonna say who, but someone from Mountain West canna win it
- 24:38all? Well, that transitioned well into your hot take there, Dak,
- 24:44didn't it? Yeah? I don't know where it's gonna throw that out there?
- 24:48But a good basketball conference? Who all do we got out there?
- 24:53That's that you think could win it? I mean, who are your protections?
- 24:59You and l New Mexico, San Diego State, there's getting there's projected
- 25:08six Boise State. Yeah, is Colorida State projected? They're twenty three and
- 25:15nine regular season? I bet they're projected. They got the seventh seed in
- 25:19the tournament I saw in their Mountain West tournament. If they always win the
- 25:30twelve five, eleven, six upset make a run to the sweet sixteen,
- 25:34they do every year. I think San Diego State did. Is that last
- 25:37year or two years ago? Championship? Yep? I don't know. You
- 25:47don't mean to throw my other hot tike? I got there right now?
- 25:49Just throw it out there. Just give it to a stack. Right now,
- 25:52Kansas is losing first round. Everybody put that in their bracket. They
- 25:56suck as what seed? To get more detailed? Two seeds? They will
- 26:02be a two seed and they're gonna lose first round. You think they're going
- 26:06to be that high. Well okay, okay, well never mind three seeds.
- 26:15There'll be a three or four seed and you're calling me up I thought
- 26:19they were highing that. But no, there, whatever seed they are,
- 26:23they're getting upset and must say fall away to eleven then they can't. But
- 26:29Kansas was a sixth seed in the Big twelve tournament. Yeah, they're they're
- 26:33asked when they're losing right now, and they're they're very banged up too.
- 26:37I know. I don't think hundred Dickinson's played tonight. I know they're very
- 26:41banged up. It's a good, good one, Dak. I like it,
- 26:45Pencil, I've said that. I've said that all year. It wasn't
- 26:48just after this loss. They are not that good. They're down by thirteen
- 26:52at the end of the half against Cincinnati, so pretty good start for you.
- 27:00What else Nebraska basketball? Do we have anything else where we jump into
- 27:03more just general March Madness talk. No, I feel good, I optimistically
- 27:11good. Where are you ready to travel? To? Brooklyn? I think
- 27:14is where I saw it at? So yeah, that was the only other
- 27:18thing. Just looking at locations, I'm guessing will be anywhere from a seven
- 27:23to a ten seed depending on wins and losses. Omaha only hosts one seven
- 27:30to ten, so the chances of Omaha are I think very slim. I
- 27:34think eight to nine are most likely. So destinations that are looking probable are
- 27:44Charlotte, Memphis, Brooklyn, Salt Lake City. I don't think Spokane's an
- 27:51option anymore. I didn't see a Pittsburgh option. Oh, Indianapolis is another
- 27:56one that I think is still possible. But yeah, I'm excited. It
- 28:02should be fun. I just hope they play on Friday, not Thursday's all
- 28:07I want if they better play Friday. Are you guys the type of people
- 28:15that take days off work just to watch March March Madness? Or that I
- 28:19started tradition last year? I have, Yes, I have. I did
- 28:22last year, but I did and I did during COVID, Because what's the
- 28:26freaking point it was COVID? You know I'm already seah, I have this
- 28:33year, I am because I'm going to the games started Dristan last year,
- 28:38go to Barry's eleven am, stay all day doing it again. This year,
- 28:45you better make sure you can watch the Huskers play that night. I
- 28:48know that's a bad part is last year the eight o'clock games, they let's
- 28:55just say they didn't get watched. Should we shout out the lady Huskers on
- 29:00their big ten finish? Yes, runner up almost got it done. I
- 29:07couldn't quite close it out though they're they're playing well. I watched them in
- 29:14the tournament their last three games pretty much start to finish, and I can't
- 29:18say I've watched him super closely. This year. I'm impressed with with what
- 29:25we have. We have. Markowski is a very strong inside and out post
- 29:30player. There's a lot of high draft pick for the w n B A
- 29:36not something you talk about too often you're in Nebraska, and I would I
- 29:38would not be surprised by that at all. I mean watching her play even
- 29:42against I mean Iowa is one of the best teams in the country. She
- 29:45dominates the side, especially from a rebounding perspective on both ends and and Josh
- 29:52Shelley is the real deal. I mean, you're going to talk about just
- 29:56having every part of her game be super solid and and has the ability to
- 30:00go off scoring and passing and very impressive. And then and then when our
- 30:06other girls shoot it the way they did in the tournament, I mean,
- 30:10we can play with anybody, as we've shown play with Iowa. But we've
- 30:15also seen times too this year where that hasn't gone like that as well.
- 30:19But we're hot, we're playing well, We're hot going to the tournament.
- 30:23It makes you excited for next year. We we get Britt Prince, That's
- 30:26honestly part of it. And I think it will be a very very smooth
- 30:33transition from Jazz to Britt at point guard spot, and I think BRIT's gonna
- 30:37have some things that Jazz didn't and vice versa as well. So I think
- 30:42it will that will benefit a lot for the program to a lot, a
- 30:47lot of momentum, Just hoping that all that extra crap with the lawsuit stays
- 30:52out of the situation and Amy Williams to keep building ingrated coach Williams and runner
- 30:59up Big Ten, runner up the women Huskers what a surprise, and the
- 31:06men could do it too this year who knows what a crazy world. I
- 31:11don't know lick about the women's basketball team. What see or they projected?
- 31:15I actually saw we were This is before the tournament final. So the women's
- 31:22Big Ten Tournament is the first conference tournament for the women's that's done. So
- 31:26Iowa was the first one to punch their ticket. We were the sixth seed
- 31:30or the fire the five seed in the Big Ten Tournament. What I saw
- 31:36in some bracketology, at least the ESPNS, we were like an eight or
- 31:38nine well right against play matchup against Kansas round one according to ESPN in bracket
- 31:45So that actually might be okay if that one girl gets suspended for several games
- 31:51from South Carolina, if there's ever a time to face South Carolina. Where's
- 31:56that at? Where's the location of that at? Albany, Oh, Columbia?
- 31:59There we go? Wow, what if I could? I wonder if
- 32:02I could make it work? Where I went and watched the men's and women
- 32:07in Colombia, that would be incredible. That could happen? Could happen?
- 32:15Austin, You gotta have two hot takes. I still have one left,
- 32:19minds gonna. I do have hot takes. But it was really tough to
- 32:21slip them in there and do I believe them? But they're hot, baby,
- 32:25so they're hot. Hold lot you hot takes that you don't believe?
- 32:29That's not a hot I don't know if I necessarily believe in them. I
- 32:32can see all my takes. I don't believe that's true. Dak knows.
- 32:37I believe football players should have to play both offense and defense at every level
- 32:44of the game. Wow, are you actually athletes? Are you just specialized
- 32:51ambition? Like, what's the point high schoolers? Do it? Come on?
- 32:54Okay, the next one. I don't even like that one though,
- 32:59for you. No, I mean that's good. It just is so random
- 33:02and well, I was you do, like, give two hot takes?
- 33:07I was like, I don't know if I have any spicy ones lived around?
- 33:09Well, how about anything with the current sports? But like I get
- 33:13like current of gambling was recently legalized. I believe fantasy football saved professional football.
- 33:22Professional football would be the same place as baseball is right now. Fantasy
- 33:24football didn't exist in the last thirty years. Okay, honestly, I kind
- 33:28of believe you. I kind of believe that. I mean, there's our
- 33:31games. They're not super rea, there's not as many teams that are regionally
- 33:36driven fan bases and fantasy Why didn't fantasy baseball save the MLB too long?
- 33:44And you gotta pay attention every single day? It's it's not you gotta payttention
- 33:50your lineup and people get injured, take people out every single day in and
- 33:52out. Fantasy football I think saved it up till this point. Now gambling
- 33:57is just gonna take it over and it's gonna just rule every thing. Fantasy
- 34:00football is easier for the masses to participate in. I want, maybe maybe
- 34:06you have. They'll watch eight hours of football on Sunday just to watch their
- 34:09fantasy players. They don't care about their teams anymore. I want the history
- 34:15of fantasy football. Next podcast, all right, I'll look I'll look into
- 34:19that one that was I want to I want to know where it came from.
- 34:23There's probably just some guys who looked up. They would read the newspaper
- 34:27and assigned points. I don't know, I'll look into it. The other
- 34:31added element to that is daily fantasy that has become a thing a lot more
- 34:37recent. It's something I like doing a lot too. So my brother and
- 34:42I were saying that with this new professional volleyball league, we need to be
- 34:44the first ones to really capitalize and create a professional volleyball fantasy league. M
- 34:49hmm, I'll play. I got to see if that catches enough. I
- 34:53know it's doing well I think here in our area, knowing the volleyball state
- 35:00that we are. But see if that catches traction thenues to build into Yeah,
- 35:13guys, this is, like I said, one of the best times
- 35:15of the year. It's March Madness, the Masters is coming up, Saint
- 35:23Patti's Day is also my birthday on Sunday. H whoa, what else happens?
- 35:31Yeah, huh, well, what kind of you dah damn. That's
- 35:37an easy on this. This is this is a hot take, I guess.
- 35:44But we're a prediction. You say I knew that that you did?
- 35:47Yeah? Uh? What else happens on Sundays? Guys? In the sports
- 35:55world, every Sunday, what happens in sports? Golf final round always happens
- 36:05on Sundays. There's been one guy here that's played well. So right now
- 36:08for people that don't really follow golf as much, they are finishing up what
- 36:14they call a Florida swing, so they go to Florida. They play in
- 36:17like three or four tournaments in Florida. They finish up with players, which
- 36:23is this weekend. And one particular guy has played very well all up until
- 36:30the final round on Sunday the past two weeks and kind of shit the bet,
- 36:36but he still has a third place finish in a fourth place finish the
- 36:38last two weeks. Well, this guy happens also to be from Ireland,
- 36:45and he's very much Irish, and Sunday is Saint Patti's Day. Shane Lowry
- 36:52will win the Players Championship this week. I believe he's about it at plus
- 36:55twenty six one hundred odds around there, So get in on that. It
- 37:00is the luck of the Irish. She's playing well and all he needs is
- 37:04the Sunday to go right for him. It's Saint Patti's Day. What a
- 37:08storyline that's going to be. As far as it takes, goes pretty mild.
- 37:14That's just a prediction. Who's going to win? A prediction. It's
- 37:15not a take, it's a prediction. I'm mad. I can't put my
- 37:20fifteen dollars on Tiger Woods. Why you saved fifteen dollars? I told him
- 37:28every single every single tournament he plays the rest of his rest of his life.
- 37:32I'm going fifteen dollars. I'm to win, and eventually it'll cash out
- 37:36and it'll come back. I'll be a winner because the odds are so big.
- 37:42If you have I won't lose that much, or you'll lose fifteen dollars
- 37:45for the rest of your life, for the rest of Tiger's playing career,
- 37:50I should say, which might be might be next month? All right,
- 37:57Well, we are going to do a gut reaction initialt reaction to the bracket
- 38:01release on Sunday, so we will be back here in a few short days
- 38:06seeing where Hoiberg and Nebraska falls out in the tournament as they should, and
- 38:12hopefully dak Sooners are there too. Oh if they play Oklahoma, I sort
- 38:15of God, I know that will be their first one and it's just gonna
- 38:19be hell. All right, go Bigarette if you are the boomer sooner,
