- 3:12be a great so far. It's shaping up to be a great
- 3:14new season. So I'm excited for you all to be
- 3:17here. I'm excited to talk with new
- 3:19people and hear new things and you know, learn new things
- 3:24hopefully. So yeah, man, 2024 is, is
- 3:28already. You've hit the ground running.
- 3:31I didn't get a chance to celebrate around the holidays
- 3:34like a lot of us get to, you know, the New year celebration
- 3:39and stuff. As you might can tell from my
- 3:40voice, I'm still fighting a really bad flu virus.
- 3:46My wife got it and then I got it and it was it.
- 3:51It it was, it was a doozy. I know a lot of you folks out
- 3:55here, a lot of folks that I know too probably have felt the
- 4:01weighty hand of this this plague.
- 4:05So you guys, you know, drink lots of fluids.
- 4:07Drink plenty of fluids. As a matter of fact, you know,
- 4:08you guys see me toasting you guys with with my glass of
- 4:11Scotch like I normally do. This is the first glass of
- 4:14Scotch that I've even wanted in like over a week.
- 4:18And if you know me you know that that is definitely not in in in
- 4:24my character too and I don't even I'm not even like smoking
- 4:28or vaping or doing anything like that because the the upper
- 4:31respiratory strains that stuff like that puts on my on my
- 4:36lungs. I'm still I'm still coughing you
- 4:40know trying to and it's a very tight cough.
- 4:43You know what I mean? Like I'm still trying to get all
- 4:45that stuff broken up and loosened up in my chest and then
- 4:47all that. So I'm OK, I'm I'm, I'm drinking
- 4:51plenty of fluids, plenty of water and and tea.
- 4:56There's a really good immune boost tea with elderberry that I
- 5:00picked up at the store. I've got to breathe easy sort of
- 5:04tea with some eucalyptus and mint.
- 5:06You know, those are helping a lot too.
- 5:08So if you guys are feeling the same way or having the same
- 5:11sorts of things, those types of teas are great.
- 5:14Anything that'll you know, help with your respiratory system.
- 5:17Anything that'll help with your immunity, immune system, help
- 5:20boost it. Take lots of, you know, vitamins
- 5:23as much as you can, like vitamin C, zinc, echinacea, golden seal,
- 5:27elderberry, vitamin E, vitamin A.
- 5:30Be careful with the vitamin A, You don't want to take that all
- 5:34the time. But anyways, take care of
- 5:38yourselves. I'm doing the best that I can
- 5:40and I'm finally feeling up to par for me to be able to come on
- 5:44here and and record season one. And it's not going to be just
- 5:47me, thankfully. So we've got a A guest lined up
- 5:51today. You've seen him here on the
- 5:52podcast before. His name is Blake Russell and if
- 5:55you've not seen him or heard him here on the podcast, you may
- 5:58have seen him or heard him from his Skaldic works project.
- 6:05He is a musician, very talented toggle harpist I guess they're
- 6:09called. He plays the Toggle Harp or
- 6:10Tallaharp and he is in the Huntsville, AL area.
- 6:15Blake and I got a chance to meet earlier or at the end of last
- 6:20year where we were at the High Lung show.
- 6:23So we met in person, great guy. And he had written into the
- 6:28podcast and asked a question about should we as Pagans be
- 6:33spiteful. And he gave an example and I'm
- 6:36going to let him kind of weigh in on it a bit and talk more
- 6:40about it. But that is what today's show
- 6:42was about. So hope you guys enjoy it.
- 6:44If you do, be sure to give the video, if you're watching this a
- 6:48reaction, give it a like whatever.
- 6:49I don't know what the Patreon platform does.
- 6:51I think it's like a heart react. But if you're listening to this
- 6:53and the platform that you're listening to this on gives you
- 6:55the option to upvote or save or download or whatever it is,
- 7:00interact with it in that way, it is greatly appreciated.
- 7:03So let's go ahead and bring Blake from Skull.
- 7:06That works on here. Be sure to check the description
- 7:09and the show notes of the podcast for Blake's links.
- 7:13You know the skull that works where you can find him and
- 7:15support him at. And then check out my link tree
- 7:18links for all the ways that you can support me.
- 7:21So we're going to go ahead and bring Blake from Skull that
- 7:23works here on the show. Episode one, Season 5.
- 7:27Here we go. All right, folks.
- 7:29Well, here we are back on season 5 episode one with Blake from
- 7:35Scald. It works.
- 7:36What's up man? Good to have you back.
- 7:38Yeah, you'll be back. Happy New Year to everybody.
- 7:43Yeah, absolutely. Happy New Year.
- 7:45I was telling everybody before you came on that I didn't get a
- 7:49chance to like, you know, ring in the new Year traditionally
- 7:52with, you know, drinks and parties and stuff, 'cause I was
- 7:54dealing with this, this flu. And I did it in my own way.
- 7:58I did a little private ceremony, like a little ritual, the ritual
- 8:01of my own way. OK, cool.
- 8:04Like year or two, just three and a New Year's.
- 8:06It was my spirit, land, spirits, gods and my ancestors.
- 8:11Then. Then, around midnight, I poured
- 8:13out the drinks or the need that I had offered.
- 8:21Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was. I was just too.
- 8:24I wanted to, man. I was just too, like I was
- 8:26telling him like, you know, the whiskey I'm drinking right now
- 8:29is it's the first glass of Scotch that I've had in over a
- 8:32week. I just didn't have a taste for
- 8:35it. I hadn't wanted to drink
- 8:36anything like that, you know. I was just met me drink tea and
- 8:41and other things more, you know. So this is the first time that
- 8:45I'm getting to kind of just enjoy an alcoholic bread
- 8:48beverage. I had a shot of crown on New
- 8:51Year's. Like when when when it hit
- 8:53midnight, I got to drink something.
- 8:55I got to do something, damn it, you know?
- 8:58First, you didn't lose your voice like I did when I got the
- 9:01Super, the Super flu, you know what I mean?
- 9:05You know what I mean, the Super flu, that's what I mean it's
- 9:08it's I had never got the flu before.
- 9:10But if if you just but the way you describe the flu, that's the
- 9:14way I felt that first day I had had it earlier last earlier last
- 9:19year I think it was. Yeah, this, this, this round.
- 9:23Dude, I don't tell you. I mean, I don't get sick very
- 9:25often. Usually when I start feeding a.
- 9:27Certain way. I can nip it in the bud.
- 9:30I'll start, you know, boosting up my vitamins and and and and
- 9:33all that this. Time.
- 9:37This kicked my ass, man. I was.
- 9:40I I'm glad I was off from work and all that and I didn't have.
- 9:43To take time off. Had the time off because I like
- 9:48even going back to work this week.
- 9:49I'm I'm still like, you know, when I first get up in the
- 9:53morning, I'm like hacking up my lungs.
- 9:55Just it's rough. Yeah.
- 9:58For me though, I was ready to get back to work.
- 10:01Really. I was bored.
- 10:05I mean, I'm not going to be bored to find find myself, you
- 10:08know, busy doing other things rather than, you know, work
- 10:12buddy. I get it.
- 10:13You know, I was not ready to get back to the grind because it was
- 10:17like sitting here all week was like, what to do?
- 10:24Next, right. Yeah.
- 10:26What's going on? Yeah, it's like I had.
- 10:29I had one plan I didn't do because I was just too chicken
- 10:32to do it. Which was what?
- 10:34I was I was actually thinking about doing it a full well uta
- 10:38seta session say that one. More time.
- 10:43I was. I was planning on doing a full
- 10:45UTA seta. Oh, wow.
- 10:48But The thing is, my backyard is not suitable for it.
- 10:52So I'm going to have to either do it somewhere else and finding
- 10:55a place where I wouldn't be disturbed.
- 10:57Yeah, in my Old Town, in my town, because there's no other
- 11:01like parks anywhere else nearby that is like a major, like a
- 11:08like major nature preserve the park have.
- 11:12You ever Have you ever done uta Seta?
- 11:15No, this will be my first. That's what I'm trying to what?
- 11:23I've done something close I haven't.
- 11:24I don't think I've I I wouldn't say what I've done if was
- 11:27officially Utah set to but. Yeah, you know.
- 11:30It's somewhat close to that. Yeah, it was.
- 11:35It was something I was wanting to try for the first time and
- 11:38just to because when my my hoes, because I don't make
- 11:43resolutions. I make hoes myself and stuff is
- 11:48to I'm going to start diving a little bit harder into the
- 11:55spirituality of everything. My my spirituality was more and
- 12:01also into the more mystical side of it as well.
- 12:05OK. Which I'm I'm already starting
- 12:07my path on now. I'm starting to dive more into
- 12:10the ruins and stuff. But I'm all but.
- 12:15The thing is, my, my, my personal learning room is to go
- 12:19is the practice as I go. Because it's like learning an
- 12:22instrument. You can't just study and study
- 12:25and study and then expect to pick up the instrument and then
- 12:28play after. You have to play it as.
- 12:30You have to practice what you play.
- 12:33Oh, practice, play and practice what you learn as you go.
- 12:41Absolutely, yeah. And it's a lifetime worth of
- 12:43learning and. Like with a bike, you got to run
- 12:47with the train wheels on, then take the train wheels off for a
- 12:50while and then you go into the big starts and tricks.
- 12:54Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're not going to be you're
- 12:56not going to be flipping wheelies while you're still on a
- 12:58trice. You know, on on on your training
- 13:00wheels, you know, Yeah, with any great oh.
- 13:05Yeah. So I'm starting with the basic
- 13:07book, The little this little basic book.
- 13:09Of course, you've probably seen this one before, yeah?
- 13:13Yeah, what's who who's that one by?
- 13:17Lisa Chamberlain. Yep.
- 13:20Yeah, I remember. It it's a little star.
- 13:22It's like a little star to get me.
- 13:23I'm going to get me learning it, get me memorizing it, get me
- 13:26learn the some of the, what do you call them, the spread.
- 13:36Oh, OK. Yeah, And then and then as I go,
- 13:39I'll I'll keep reading and reading and reading and learning
- 13:42and learning as I go. Gotcha, gotcha.
- 13:46Well, good luck with that, man. You know, I know when I when I
- 13:50started learning runes and and and all that, it was a it, you
- 13:54know, I didn't like make a resolution to learn.
- 13:56It was more like it came to me as the kind of like a like a
- 14:01declaration like you got to go this route like you.
- 14:04This is the path to take. It wasn't me coming up and
- 14:07saying I'm going to go on this path per SE.
- 14:10It was I. Like.
- 14:12I was told to Hey, this is the path you need to go down, I
- 14:14said. Well, OK.
- 14:16Yeah, that's the way it was like earlier or later this last year
- 14:20it was like this is the path that I need to go down.
- 14:22I need to learn all this stuff. I need to go down multiple
- 14:25paths, spiritual paths and try them out like even including
- 14:30things like shamanism, even even non even related things like I
- 14:35may even try to get a certification in what it's
- 14:38called ray tie which we have a big thing.
- 14:42We have a good community of that here as well locally the
- 14:47practitioners. So I was like.
- 14:49What was that? What was it you said, Reiki?
- 14:53Reiki. Yeah.
- 14:54Reiki. Oh, it's called Reiki as well.
- 14:56Thanks. Yeah, yeah.
- 14:58I can't remember exact the exact denunciation, but you'll call it
- 15:01Reiki or Reiki. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:05Potato, potato. Right tomato.
- 15:07Tomato. Wherever it's wherever you can
- 15:11utilize in your in your practice that wherever I can utilize as
- 15:16in my practice as a modern. Yeah, it seems to be at least
- 15:22around here. And I don't know if it's just in
- 15:24the the Pagan circuit in general, but it seems to be a
- 15:27very popular direction to go in from Mystics and spiritualists
- 15:34and and animists even. You know, they'll they'll you're
- 15:38into the Reiki side of things, which again, you know is not a
- 15:42Norse or Northern tradition sort of thing.
- 15:45But nonetheless, it's still something that seems to find
- 15:48itself in in the repertoire of a lot of folks you know.
- 15:52I think, I think if if the Northern tradition would have
- 15:55been weapons, well, not undeserved but not completely
- 16:00banned, you know, by the Christian faith and stuff, they
- 16:05were up to Evolve on its own bikes and stuff, they probably
- 16:08would have adopted that today. Yeah, yeah.
- 16:11Very, very, very possible, you know, because.
- 16:13It probably, they would probably involve the something completely
- 16:16different over here like in the states like say like there was a
- 16:22whole bunch of Vikings, the Vikings actually completely
- 16:26settled here or the North completely settled here, you
- 16:31know? Yeah, certainly.
- 16:35Yeah. Or or they were to continue on
- 16:38and then they came in as immigrants.
- 16:40You know with the rest of the immigrants of the United States.
- 16:44You know as a well they like they have Scandinavia, but
- 16:49they'll probably like I think it's mid Midwest.
- 16:53Oh, sure, yeah. Big Norwegian, Scandinavian,
- 16:58Swedish settlements in, you know, Minnesota and and
- 17:03Wisconsin. And yeah, they're in the Midwest
- 17:07up there. Yeah.
- 17:08Yeah, and so you have to think, if they were to even come down
- 17:13here to the battle, they would probably have different The gods
- 17:17may have been transformed to something else.
- 17:21Oh yeah. I mean, syncretism is a thing
- 17:23too, you know, But everywhere, you know, where you go and and
- 17:26where the people, what the people are doing, where where
- 17:29you end up going, you know, Oh that.
- 17:32Was it was made to say name? Hard to say names, or close to
- 17:37say names, but the stories would have been completely different.
- 17:42Right. Yeah, there's pictures at the.
- 17:43Landscape, right, right. That's a whole different kind of
- 17:49worm. We can go in that.
- 17:52We can go in that whole different episode.
- 17:55You're telling me, man, you're telling me it's it's it's it's
- 17:57just, it's this. Ever the never ending can of
- 18:00worms. You know, you think you're going
- 18:04to talk about one thing, and then you say you say a word and
- 18:07you say a phrase, and then next thing you know you're going down
- 18:09that rabbit. Hole Rabbit hole, yeah.
- 18:11Where do we? Where were we at now?
- 18:13Where? How do we end up here?
- 18:15It's it's it's like my my words very, very, very fast and
- 18:19frequent. It's like or fast, fast and
- 18:23crazy and out there it's like, I don't.
- 18:27I don't. I don't.
- 18:28They got outside the box. I destroyed that sucker.
- 18:33You. Know that horse to death, right?
- 18:35I'm trying to. I'm trying to get.
- 18:37I'm trying to get keep the key here.
- 18:42Oh yeah, well, we did actually have a topic today.
- 18:45Funny enough. You you wrote in and this is
- 18:51months ago now that you wrote in.
- 18:53Well, it wasn't all that long ago, but I think by the.
- 18:56Time. Yeah, it was last.
- 18:59Yeah, it was last month. But I think what you wrote into
- 19:01me about it pertained to something that happened to you
- 19:05months or or maybe even longer prior to you.
- 19:11Yeah, so you were you were talking about, you know, should
- 19:16pagans be spiteful? Should we as Pagans as you know,
- 19:21and Heathens, however you want to label yourself, or should we
- 19:24be spiteful? Yeah, I.
- 19:26Remember responding back to you and giving you kind of like my
- 19:29quick answer, a quick response, but I was, I was hoping if you
- 19:33wouldn't mind kind of leading off and talk.
- 19:37A little bit. Yeah, the story behind why you
- 19:39came to that question or what what that came to your mind for.
- 19:43Yeah. OK.
- 19:44For a whole back story contact here I work at a highly
- 19:49Christianized business like the owner's Christian.
- 19:56A lot of people that work there are part of the Christian part
- 20:01of Christian saying and they will go on and sometimes one of
- 20:07them are like really right wingly right leaning.
- 20:10So I get a lot of political stuff on the on that end as
- 20:14well. But they were.
- 20:16I think they I was overhearing a conversation between people
- 20:20about somebody talking about somebody who has.
- 20:25Either like the the pentagram or the pinnacle and stuff and and
- 20:33they were talking about it in like a negative context or in
- 20:36the negative context stuff. So I thought to myself, like,
- 20:41wouldn't it be weird if I just showed up to work wearing that
- 20:44wearing attendant with that on there?
- 20:47And then I was like, but The thing is, I got got.
- 20:50But what came in my head though is I don't really associate
- 20:54myself with that symbol as a North North Pagan.
- 21:00Or even I didn't associate myself with like the pinnacle or
- 21:07the pentagram because that's kind of either a Wiccan or
- 21:09Universal Pagan Pagan. But The thing is in my mind is
- 21:15like, I could wear this thing there.
- 21:18It makes them cringe and they couldn't say nothing about it
- 21:23because religious Right kind of thing, right?
- 21:29I. Can pull.
- 21:31I can pull the legal card on them.
- 21:33Yeah. Now don't you, I mean where you
- 21:36work and and all that. I mean do you do you wear
- 21:38anything? Is there any, any identifier
- 21:42that outwardly would I, you know, if people saw it would be
- 21:46like, what is that like? You're not a Christian.
- 21:50That doesn't look like a Christian symbol.
- 21:51Do you wear your hammer? Do you wear anything open?
- 21:55And visible I I've been wearing my, I've been I've been wearing
- 21:59my millionaire all a lot. I have.
- 22:00I have that, that big one that I have actually hanging over
- 22:05there. My old one put the big chain,
- 22:09the big stained one I used to have, but now I'm wearing my
- 22:13little small one here, which I wear around my neck right here.
- 22:18And then recently I've been wearing a wearing this thing
- 22:22because I just like to wear it, to wear it.
- 22:24And I wear a deer hammer on my neck as well, but it doesn't.
- 22:31Mean, you know that? I mean a lot.
- 22:32I mean hunters. I mean, you know, that doesn't
- 22:34necessarily, you know, associate you with any, like alternative
- 22:39religion or spirituality per SE, But the hammer definitely would.
- 22:43And it's just curious to me, right?
- 22:45Like, have they seen your hammer?
- 22:48Oh yeah. They actually, they actually
- 22:49know that I am is I live in in my department, right.
- 22:56Because my because we were like a department of like 8 or 9
- 23:01people. And so they I'm kind of a little
- 23:07bit open about it sometimes but not to everybody in the in the
- 23:11company. But I was because I'm open to
- 23:14them, because I talked about what I do or not what I do, but
- 23:18what I'm what my plans are on tomorrow for the weekend or
- 23:21something like that. You know, So when.
- 23:23So when a ritual comes up, like, OK, I'm doing me and a bunch of
- 23:27people are getting out together and doing this thing.
- 23:30Yeah, yeah, at at this thing. It was.
- 23:35It was just the. It was just the the symbol of
- 23:40the pinnacle or the pentagram whichever it was they're they're
- 23:44they're different things. I've we know that right.
- 23:46One is a Pagan Celtic Pagan symbol of actually I think the
- 23:52the and I and I'm no expert on this so I don't want to like
- 23:56start this and then end up having a back pedal but I want
- 24:00to say that there's some some Christian origins to one of the
- 24:05symbols. I think it's the pinnacle, but
- 24:08the pentagram is the is the inverted one, right?
- 24:11So the pentagram is the. The pinnacle is the pentagram
- 24:15with a circle. Around it.
- 24:17OK, I'm thinking maybe that. All right, so then, yeah.
- 24:20So whichever the one is, that's usually associated with like
- 24:23Satanism, right? Where it's the inverted.
- 24:24The inverted pinnacle or inverted pentagram, Yeah.
- 24:28Yeah. So it'd be a pinnacle if it's
- 24:31got a circle around it. It'd be a pentagram without the
- 24:33circle around it. OK then, yeah.
- 24:36They were they associated with like Christians associated
- 24:39nowadays with witchcraft or take care of them depending on the
- 24:42orientation the orientation that it's sitting.
- 24:46But we don't know that even in witchcraft if it's orientated in
- 24:49reverse, it means that you're drawing that energy onto
- 24:54yourself. OK.
- 24:56So you're you're putting the energy that you're trying to put
- 24:59in on yourself and then when you're when it's that's what I
- 25:02was that's what I weren't You know through watching a lot of
- 25:07different YouTube and collective pagans and stuff on YouTube that
- 25:11they are the that the IT was pointing not inverted but it was
- 25:16pointing right side up. It's putting the energy out into
- 25:19the universe. OK.
- 25:22That that will be. I just want it interesting that
- 25:24they they they they they want to hone in on that symbol or
- 25:29symbols. Yeah, and.
- 25:31And and and draw a conclusion you know off of that and and
- 25:37totally ignore the fact that you're you know that you got
- 25:40this hammer around your neck and you're also.
- 25:43Most people in the most people around me are completely
- 25:47oblivious to the to the, to the mule near.
- 25:50Yeah. Yeah, it's like, it's not.
- 25:53It's not. It's not a very recognized
- 25:56symbol of Paganism, especially where I'm at, really.
- 26:01It's like, yeah, we don't. A lot of people don't will will
- 26:06realize what what I'm wearing half the time unless it's unless
- 26:10they are a part of the. Community.
- 26:13I've had somebody one time Well, the the the type of hammer that
- 26:18that I wear right right now is it's not very easily
- 26:21distinguished as a hammer like it.
- 26:24It kind of looks like a hammer, but it the one that I used to
- 26:27wear and I still have my wife got me from a distance it looks
- 26:33more it's it, it looks more like an inverted cross.
- 26:36Yeah. And I've had like, years ago
- 26:40when I was still on talking terms with my family in New
- 26:43York, you know, like my mom was like, is that an inverted cross,
- 26:45Which really pissed her off because we were raised
- 26:48Christian, you know what I mean? I'm like, no, no, no, no, Mom,
- 26:50this is a this is, it's called Mule near.
- 26:52It's Thor's hammer. It's totally different, you
- 26:55know, and well. Some people, I mean there's a
- 26:57lot of people I know that know it's mule near, but they
- 27:00associate with like Marvel meal near as well of course or they
- 27:06know it's feeling near the actual meal near.
- 27:08But they they know. Everybody knows who Thor is
- 27:12everywhere now, you know, because of Marvel and
- 27:15everything. Lot of war, the Assassin's
- 27:19Creed, all the pop culture things, you know.
- 27:22Right. Oh yeah.
- 27:23And so it's it's more easily recognized.
- 27:28They don't see it as like there's a lot of people I've
- 27:31probably seen that wear it that aren't even Pagan at all.
- 27:37Yeah, I've seen that too, man. You know, I, I, I wear these
- 27:45symbols for for a couple of reasons.
- 27:49You know, like, for me, they're they're an expression of my
- 27:53identity. They're they're they're how I
- 27:56identify it in in my religiosity.
- 27:58You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 28:00You're also a way I feel for if there are others like me, right.
- 28:06It's a conversations, right? Because.
- 28:08Yeah, it's connected with others like you.
- 28:12It's like like like like here, like, hey, here I am, approach
- 28:16me, talk to me. You know, right.
- 28:21There's a commonality between There's a commonality enough
- 28:25between you and I. If you wear a hammer and I wear
- 28:28a hammer on the surface at least we we could have a conversation
- 28:32and start a a conversation where that conversation goes if it
- 28:35goes anywhere valuable or or anything happens remains to be
- 28:38seen. But it can be a conversation
- 28:42starter and it can kind of help like you say you know identify
- 28:46you in the crowd or or amongst other people that are maybe
- 28:49looking because in the South at least.
- 28:51You know a a lot of folks and I've come to find this out are
- 28:54are still very very private and quiet about their Heathenry or
- 28:59about their paganism because of it being such a Christian
- 29:04dominate dominant religion area. You know what I mean like it's
- 29:10even though there's a there's there's a lot of pagans around
- 29:13here man and I'm not just talking Heathens like Germanic
- 29:17or whatever. I mean I'm talking there's
- 29:19there's all kinds of of of non religious folks up in this.
- 29:23Area you need to North Alabama though because one you got the
- 29:26meter, you need to clarify. They are and they are a big they
- 29:32are a big deal and they've been featuring a lot of articles and
- 29:36stuff. Yep, which is great.
- 29:39I love the. Press that they're getting, you
- 29:40know what I mean? Because like, not, not all
- 29:43meteries. Like, let's face it, like not
- 29:45all meteries are a heathen business.
- 29:48It's just not right. Like not all the breweries are,
- 29:52you know, the same way, right? So but just because you're
- 29:55making me doesn't necessarily mean you're you're Pagan or
- 29:58heathen. But it's cool You've got a
- 30:01meadery that is a heathen run business in the area and that
- 30:04the press that they're getting is like you guys did the Burning
- 30:09Man. I say, I keep saying Burning
- 30:10Man, the Wicker Man, You know, this just was a few weeks ago,
- 30:15or two weeks ago, something like that.
- 30:17Yeah, they had to delay it for the fire.
- 30:19Yeah. I I, I joked with Rue the other
- 30:23the other day before it was the one that's paying that out.
- 30:27I was like, are we switching the bear to the goat to a goat this
- 30:29year? That.
- 30:36Would be like we we got a strong goat instead of a bear.
- 30:39This is this is close to the yuletide season.
- 30:42Heck. Yeah.
- 30:44One of the big Yule, I thought it was funny that the GABA goat
- 30:47this year didn't. It didn't survive.
- 30:49But it wasn't because of fire. It was because of birds.
- 30:51It said birds. Yeah, birds this year says it's
- 30:57being wit on fire. It was they they ate down to the
- 30:59frame because they because of a bad harvest or the way it was
- 31:06harvested. There was still seeds in the in
- 31:09the straw. Oh, gotcha.
- 31:10Gotcha. First we're taking it out.
- 31:16That's new. Somebody was joking.
- 31:21It was like, it was like fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire
- 31:25Sage. Fire sage birds.
- 31:31But yeah, that was, yeah, the way he was there.
- 31:37And the first thing we were calling it Burning Man, and some
- 31:39people just called it Burning Bear.
- 31:43Well, the effigy this year was a bear, wasn't it?
- 31:45Yeah. They call it burning barefoot as
- 31:48as a way to joke around. Yeah, I think that thing lived
- 31:52beautifully by the way it went straight from the top down and
- 31:55it didn't. Collapse.
- 31:57Yeah, yeah. So if everybody watching and
- 32:00listening, whatever. If you go to, we're talking
- 32:02about a meadery, it's it's Ravenwood Meadery and they're in
- 32:06Huntsville, AL. You go to their Facebook page,
- 32:09they've got a website, but you go to their Facebook page,
- 32:12you'll see pictures and videos and stuff of what we're talking
- 32:16about here. It was Blake was there.
- 32:19You got to Were you performing anything like I saw pictures of
- 32:22you with the town I. Was just freestyling.
- 32:25I was just freestyling on it because it was like a different
- 32:27drone circle kind of thing. We were just playing random
- 32:30stuff and I just jumped in and joined in.
- 32:34Dude, you got to come up here man, to an event and bring it
- 32:37with you because that is 1 sound that I have not heard live in
- 32:42person anywhere and it's something to to had it here at
- 32:46an event. Yeah, you know, Well, certainly
- 32:49I'm bringing, I'm bringing everything on one of my
- 32:50instruments. Well, that that definitely gets
- 32:54ours. I don't think that's a good
- 32:55place for it. But there is like this finally
- 32:59get what you what, what what's called a gym bag.
- 33:04Hopefully you carry a gym bag. By the way, I have the handle.
- 33:09There you go. Just bring them all, man.
- 33:11Just bring them all. Bring them the whole thing.
- 33:15I'm fixing the I'm fixing the main There's a woman here that
- 33:19runs a local like esoterical shop in Athens.
- 33:23It's a tea shop kind of thing and she likes to make make like
- 33:28frame drum. So I'm gonna make my own.
- 33:32So that's gonna be that's gonna be fun.
- 33:35Excellent. Oh yeah.
- 33:37She's. I don't.
- 33:37Think man you know like you were asking about should we be
- 33:43spiteful you know for for those sakes.
- 33:47And I I think I remember saying to you you know, like I don't
- 33:51know. You know in in certain cases I,
- 33:53I, I always try to measure it up to like what's why would I, why
- 33:57should I be doing what I feel like I want to do right.
- 34:00Like, what's the purpose? Is there any, I'm going to, you
- 34:03know, get any benefit out of doing this?
- 34:06Is there anything good going to happen, or am I just trying to,
- 34:08you know, stir the pot, stir shit up, right?
- 34:11Yeah, it looks like me. I used.
- 34:14I sometimes will get vindictive like crazy just to think of ways
- 34:20to get revenge or get or just to stir the pot, as you said, or
- 34:27get somebody riled up. Yeah, and then, but that's not
- 34:32been my path here lately. This is, it's like I try to go
- 34:35on this path of healing of of not only myself, but to also
- 34:43spread the healing to others. Then The thing is, I'm mostly,
- 34:48again, I'm mostly a tribal type person.
- 34:50I don't care about somebody over 5000 miles away from me, that I
- 34:56don't know, but if I can, but I will care about somebody who I
- 35:02meet in real life. And that's what I'm starting to
- 35:07be more like, because I used to be picked on a lot growing up,
- 35:13especially with my with some even later in earlier in my
- 35:18early young adulthood. I used to work from a mom at one
- 35:21point with her business and I get picked on a lot because I
- 35:24was the elder son and that kind of made me that the spiteful
- 35:30person that I was because I was trying to defend my one with my
- 35:35condition. I have a self-defense mechanism,
- 35:39fight or flight and not usually choose fight.
- 35:42Oh yeah, and and that's just not way I want to be that way
- 35:47anymore. I don't want to be that angry
- 35:49person. Well, do you think it's because
- 35:51maybe you felt like you were under attack and that was like
- 35:54a, like you say like a defense mechanism?
- 35:56And so. The fight wasn't to be like, I'm
- 35:58not trying to pick a fight, but you're trying to defend
- 36:01yourself, end up for yourself, yeah.
- 36:03Exactly. Stand up for myself, you know,
- 36:06because I wasn't, I wasn't good with using my words.
- 36:10I was mainly just becoming rebellious.
- 36:13You know it's like like I had this, I got that this this
- 36:21anarchy anarchist type mentality that like down with a man type
- 36:28thing and then now I'm now that I'm grown.
- 36:31It's a little even older. About nearly a decade and a half
- 36:36later I I've wise and gotten wiser in my years.
- 36:42You have you know feel like I'm saying I'm old but you know, but
- 36:47I'm not. I'm I'm pushing 40 but still.
- 36:53I'm turning 40 this year myself, dude.
- 36:55And. I got I got two more years.
- 36:59Some something about that. I don't know like it Numbers
- 37:02have never been a thing for me. It's like, I know like one of my
- 37:05uncles, man like when he turned 40, he like he about lost his
- 37:10mind, you know. Like I can't believe I'm turning
- 37:1240 and then he did the same thing when he turned 50.
- 37:14I can't believe I'm turning 50. Like having to come apart.
- 37:17I've never been that way. Like I you know.
- 37:20When I turn the third year like even that, it seems like
- 37:24yesterday I was, I was having my first sip of alcohol as a, as a,
- 37:32as a, as an adult. Right, Yeah.
- 37:35Which I don't. I never drunk that much anyway,
- 37:37but still, it's. Maybe I may be turning 40 this
- 37:40year, but I still like in my heart, in my mind, like I still
- 37:43feel like I'm a 20 year old. You know what I mean?
- 37:46My body doesn't. But my mind still says it seems
- 37:49like yesterday I was 20 years, 20 years 21 years old and now
- 37:53but but the see that's the reason why 30s was such but my
- 37:5830s was such. There has been such a a reality
- 38:02check is that my body starts to break down.
- 38:06You know, I've I've got carpal tunnel at the Yin Yang right
- 38:09now. It's like, I mean I've had
- 38:12carpal tunnel for a while even when I was in my 20s.
- 38:15But it's gotten worse. But like, it's now surging up
- 38:18from Yeah, it's like surging up to my elbows and my shoulders.
- 38:23And like last night it prevented me from sleeping like.
- 38:28It's crazy dude, man. Like you know, and I don't deal
- 38:31with stuff like that, but I I do deal with just, you know, the
- 38:35the, the growing pains or the OR the aches and pains of age, I
- 38:38guess is it is what it comes down to, you know?
- 38:40And I'm not even that old. I got, I get to reflecting
- 38:43sometimes. And I'm thinking, you know, man,
- 38:45the age that I'm turning this year is the same age that my dad
- 38:50was when we moved off of Long Island to the house that my mom
- 38:54lives in now. And he spent, you know, he spent
- 38:59three or four months of the summer of 97 the year that we
- 39:03moved up to that house. He spent every day and I'm
- 39:07talking like 1012 hours sometimes 1416 hour days, six
- 39:12days a week for for months renovating that house because he
- 39:16was a Carpenter by trade, you know.
- 39:18And but I'm just thinking I'm like, damn, man, I'm the same
- 39:21age now that my dad was then and he was doing all that stuff with
- 39:27a family and I'm like what a bad ass, you know?
- 39:32And and it it helps you I think put things in perspective too
- 39:36going back to like you know the whole you know things out of
- 39:39spite. You know I think the older we
- 39:41get I think the wiser we get hopefully because we we we pause
- 39:46and we we don't we're not we're not like yeah you jerk.
- 39:49And we're gonna, you know, be like 4 and just, you know, act
- 39:53first. Think later kind of thing.
- 39:56We're gonna have a little bit more, hopefully some more, some
- 39:58more attacks, some more wisdom to to to realize that you know
- 40:04why? Why would I go and do something
- 40:07out of spite? When there's What good is it?
- 40:10What good is it going to bring? Right what?
- 40:12What benefit is it going to bring?
- 40:14Is it going to bring me any benefit?
- 40:15Is it going to bring them any benefit?
- 40:17What? Wrong.
- 40:18Have they actually done to me to deserve me being spiteful
- 40:21towards them? Right.
- 40:22I mean, like there's so many things that you can measure all
- 40:26of that up against. And I think you know in as a
- 40:28general rule to answer the the question of the hour is you know
- 40:32should Pagans be spiteful as I I should I would say no at least
- 40:36not in most cases. You know what I mean if if
- 40:38there's if there was a legitimate wrong done against
- 40:43you or your loved ones or something and there needs to be
- 40:46a recompense or a wear Guild or something like that.
- 40:48You know what I mean. If the occasion calls for that
- 40:51sort of thing and there you know that type of action requires,
- 40:58you know the the the that that that those types of steps to be
- 41:01taken, then then that's one thing.
- 41:03But to just, you know be like oh you don't like this.
- 41:07You know it. You know it reminds me of those
- 41:10kids like back in you know back in the day where it was like you
- 41:14know and and and this goes for every generation I'm sure.
- 41:18But you know if if the parents didn't didn't like something
- 41:20that the kids were doing, what did the kids do?
- 41:22They do it even harder or they do it even more.
- 41:25What? Turned out that you even louder.
- 41:29You know what's going on with today's world, even today it's
- 41:32like, what do you like? You're in that make up for it.
- 41:35They'd wear even more put on another hand.
- 41:38Shirt whatever. Like you just have it down his
- 41:40rope kind of like it's like that rebellious sized like yeah.
- 41:46And to me it's me with my condition.
- 41:49It part of that comes with what they call it's called PDA which
- 41:54is pathological demand avoidance.
- 41:58It's the profile of autism. And I didn't know that was a
- 42:02thing until recently. And like I didn't know that was
- 42:07I would have something like that.
- 42:10You know, it's like I'm like that whenever, whenever, when my
- 42:16whenever one of my somebody who I feel like is my equal peer.
- 42:21You know the seniority, not not in age, but in seniority that
- 42:26given something that sounds like orders, it's like, no, I don't
- 42:30want to do it. Yeah, now what was the thing?
- 42:35Called again, say it, say pathological demand avoidance.
- 42:39OK. Pathological demand avoidance.
- 42:45Interesting. It's a you can look at that
- 42:47that's it's one of the profiles of like people with autism and
- 42:52ADHD OK, which I got the shorten the second gap both.
- 42:58You're just extra special that way.
- 43:00Yeah, it's that's what the roller coaster ride is like,
- 43:07battling my mind. It's like it's it's like I need
- 43:12to want to be organized or I just don't give a crap.
- 43:16And that's what I've been less than what I've been like.
- 43:18I've been trying to force myself to be less organized, actually,
- 43:20because I'm trying to be more like fluid in my life.
- 43:26Just going with the flow for things because I have to quit
- 43:30worrying about things being a certain way of being rigid.
- 43:36Yeah, be a little bit wall loose and I need to be, you know,
- 43:41that's been the theme. That's been the theme for the
- 43:43past couple of months. It's just being because I went
- 43:47to a bowl before it was supposed to be the liquor man event back
- 43:53in October. It was like the day after the
- 43:55Hang on concert. I've actually discussed this is
- 43:58our last episode that I was here.
- 44:03She said that right now my weird does not put off.
- 44:08It's straight that means whatever I decide, whatever it's
- 44:14not it's not either the right or wrong decision it's just the
- 44:17decision. So it's my my.
- 44:23So I'm on the right path no matter whatever I choose right
- 44:26now And that's The thing is I've been if something breaks or
- 44:31something like one time I have AI have a thing in my altar that
- 44:35I always kept. There was a gift for my aunt at
- 44:38one point and I just kept it with me and it's a a knife that
- 44:43split nap out of Obsidian. Obsidian.
- 44:47Uh huh. Yeah.
- 44:48And I was hanging. AI bought AI have a rack.
- 44:51I bought a rack of antlers of the I was nailing it to the wall
- 44:55and it knocked it off and then the whole thing shattered and
- 44:59I'm like interesting. So I was like what I'm trying to
- 45:05figure out now is if this is part of the acidion is still
- 45:07good, should I shape into something else and destroy the
- 45:10rest of it or destroy the whole bank.
- 45:15So I figured sort of figure out how for myself because it's
- 45:20still good chunk of acidia in there that can be used and
- 45:24reshape the something else reformed have a different
- 45:28purpose. Yeah, there's been like we've
- 45:32used Obsidian. Argo the wolf.
- 45:36He he he brought a huge chunk, biggest chunk of Obsidian I've
- 45:40ever seen. You know, almost about like
- 45:45probably 1 1/2 sizes in my hand, you know what I mean?
- 45:50Huge Obsidian rock. And it had.
- 45:55It had. It was a, it was a ritual stone
- 45:58that was part of an of an even bigger piece of Obsidian that
- 46:02had broken off in in a ritual fire with him and somebody else.
- 46:06Right. So he brought that and he had
- 46:08brought it out here for our ritual purposes.
- 46:13And then it was, it was put into the fire And and then he said,
- 46:19you know, you know, the next day he's like after everything cools
- 46:23off, he's like, you know, let me know what you find.
- 46:27And there were, there were of course various shards and chunks
- 46:30of Obsidian that had busted from the fire, from the heat.
- 46:35You know you could hear the the, the, the stone in the in the
- 46:39fire in the heat. And from those shards of that of
- 46:43that rock that had busted several large stones had been
- 46:49procured and he polished them and and and made pendants for
- 46:52for different people. Some of us in the tribe and
- 46:55other friends and stuff like that he made, you know so it's
- 46:57like you know the the the thing served its purpose under one
- 47:02version of itself and then it another purpose for another and
- 47:06it even continues to serve purposes doing other things
- 47:10right. So it's a.
- 47:12So basically, if you're reshaping obsaying, you're
- 47:14actually destroying it to to reshape it.
- 47:18Yeah, without even trying, 'cause I mean, you're just
- 47:20letting the fire do it's thing or you know, Yeah.
- 47:22Or if you're if you're renapping it, or if you're polishing it,
- 47:25you're just taking off the edges and reshaping it into a
- 47:28different warmth, you're it's destroying its current form.
- 47:31But there's nothing about obsaying or stones, any stones
- 47:34like that, like crystals or whatever.
- 47:36You can destroy it and reshape it into something new.
- 47:39And it has a different purpose in in your original.
- 47:43In your original and stuff. Yeah.
- 47:46Yeah. Because somebody told me I was
- 47:47trying to figure out why I could use this ritually for on my
- 47:51altar. And somebody told me that since
- 47:53a thing is good at getting rid of the negative in your life, we
- 47:56insist on the ship of a knife. We use it.
- 47:59We were you going to say we're going to use it to cut out the
- 48:02bad energies in our life? Bad idea.
- 48:05Yeah. There's a whole.
- 48:07That's a whole, that's a whole specialty area, man.
- 48:11You know, crystals and stones of people.
- 48:15Some people that are really, really smart with stuff like
- 48:17that, that know their stuff when it comes to stones and crystal,
- 48:21all that. I mean, I still use.
- 48:23I use a little bit in my practice.
- 48:25Sometimes I I will have carry a little bit with me for one, you
- 48:30know for either protection or for for the help with like
- 48:38wanting some of my energies and stuff at one point which I've
- 48:42lost one of them and I don't know where it went.
- 48:45It had to be somewhere in this house.
- 48:47But I know myself. I just accepted that I don't
- 48:51need it anymore right now. And when it turns up, that's
- 48:55probably around me again. That's where I come to the
- 49:00conclusion. I think it was a midstone.
- 49:02Actually, I. Get certain.
- 49:07Yeah, it's service purpose for now, but it's not completely
- 49:11gone. It's just hidden somewhere out
- 49:15on my range. But doesn't want to be with me
- 49:17right now because it serves, it serves the purpose and I think
- 49:23whatever it did, whatever its purpose was no longer needed.
- 49:29Yeah, so that's kind of cool. The other thing I keep, the
- 49:34other thing I keep in there was a gift for me from again, what
- 49:38was supposed to be Wicker Man. But it was the rain ceremony and
- 49:42they gave me. I think it was Amethyst or
- 49:46something or not. Like a purplish in color.
- 49:52I think it's Amethyst. Yeah.
- 49:54He said it was. He gave it to me and I still,
- 49:56he'll still owe him a gift. So I have to figure out what to
- 50:00get found the perfect gift for him because like because I
- 50:04didn't have nothing in the moment to give him so like I
- 50:09have to finally eat something because.
- 50:11That's always a that's always an interesting, you know,
- 50:15circumstance to find oneself in. Especially for heathens, you
- 50:19know when. When a gift, when a gift comes
- 50:21to us, you know. A gift demands a gift in return,
- 50:25you know. And.
- 50:27It's almost like, man, you know what can I give?
- 50:30And I think a lot of the times, at least I've fallen victim to
- 50:33this mentality is that I've got a gotta find something, you
- 50:37know, you know, extravagant or ornate or whatever, like an
- 50:42object, You know what I'm saying?
- 50:44And one of the things that I've had to learn, you know, is that
- 50:48not all gifts are material things.
- 50:52You know, the gift of time, the gift of knowledge, gift of song,
- 51:00the gift of speech, the gift. Like there's so many ways of
- 51:04gifting some. Yeah, to.
- 51:07Someone. Most of my gifts have been
- 51:10usually for myself, like for myself, you know, like I found
- 51:15like I've been giving, like I've been a musician myself and the
- 51:20things of things I have for that I anybody can play is jaw
- 51:24hearts. And I've been giving a bunch of
- 51:26them away because I have a whole bunch.
- 51:29I have a whole collection of my like this is a good gift idea.
- 51:35It's the gift of music from me to somebody who can't, who
- 51:41probably can't play music or play instrument.
- 51:44You know they can learn to play because you can learn this.
- 51:48You can just put easy instrument to learn.
- 51:51Well, difficult to master, but you can learn.
- 51:53Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or writing a song for them or
- 51:57something. You know what I mean?
- 51:58Like just, you know, poetry. Like there's so many.
- 52:01I guess all I'm saying is like there's so many options out
- 52:05there for the gift as it can as as, as it as it can be
- 52:09manifested that have to be restricted of like, oh, you gave
- 52:13me a rock now I need to give you a stick.
- 52:15You know what I mean? Like have to be exchange of
- 52:18material things per SE anymore there's there's so many things
- 52:22that can be seen as as gifts and and those gifts are you know as
- 52:28simple as they may seem and as basic as they may appear they
- 52:35are truly the treasures that are that that carry no price tag.
- 52:40You know what I mean? Like there's nothing that anyone
- 52:43could give me in exchange for a gift that a friend has given to
- 52:46me that I would want to be like I I'll give you this for X
- 52:49amount of dollars. And like, no, this is priceless
- 52:52to me. You know what I mean?
- 52:53Because if came from a position of kindness, of genuineness,
- 53:00right of generosity, of true purpose, you know, of knowing
- 53:04that it came from their heart and all that like that's that to
- 53:07me is, is what makes it so. Make that.
- 53:11Makes the it's like it's like one of my friends though he he's
- 53:16a yeah it is a gift that I gave him for a yield gift The biggest
- 53:26one I gave him was the gift of practice I gave him a little I
- 53:32made I made him a pocket pocket halter I gave him I got bottle
- 53:38box for him got got a couple tea light candles and some small
- 53:42instance and a little tiny instance for about that big and
- 53:47technically it can actually hold actually instant sticks it's got
- 53:49holds the six of them but it holds the cones as well a cones
- 53:53as well and I'm like this will be a good tool set up we're in
- 53:56the first practice I like just got nature's worship system yet
- 54:00doesn't have his own space his own household yeah.
- 54:05I bet that I bet that really meant something to him, man.
- 54:08Oh yeah. You know, 'cause I like a lot of
- 54:11folks that don't know where to start getting those essential
- 54:15items, as it were, right? Those those, those seeds to
- 54:18plant, you know, it's got to feel so good.
- 54:21You know, and I get to and I and I also get to them my old altar
- 54:25cloth. So you can use just either as a
- 54:27casting cloth for like rooms if you want to do it or if you want
- 54:31to use that to stay outside. You know, it was the smaller one
- 54:34because I got a bigger one now for my my Ulta table.
- 54:41Yeah. And so I kind of retired it.
- 54:43But since I was tired, I'm like, well, just get I it says just
- 54:47destroy it. I just gave it to somebody else
- 54:49that needed it. Yeah.
- 54:51And give it give it new purpose. I think the gifts of that that
- 54:57come, you know, from like, like what you're saying.
- 55:02Like you gifted somebody something that used to belong to
- 55:05you, that was something that you at one point used.
- 55:10It had a purpose. It served the purpose for you.
- 55:13You know and and and then you saw it.
- 55:17You know fit to gift it to them. Those.
- 55:20Types of gifts to me are like that.
- 55:22You can't put a price tag on things like they're they're
- 55:26invaluable. My wife recently, like when I
- 55:30went to fire on the mountain last year, she had been talking
- 55:34for months about this one particular style of necklace
- 55:37that Papa Allison would wear occasionally.
- 55:42And it was a sun wheel made out of milk.
- 55:45OK. And I so, like, I talked to him
- 55:49about it ahead of time. I'm like, hey, man, you ever get
- 55:52any more pieces of bone? Right.
- 55:54And. And you could craft, you could
- 55:56craft a new sun wheel necklace. My wife would really like one
- 56:00kind of like the one you've got. Right.
- 56:02He's like, yeah, sure. I'll keep it in mind.
- 56:03Right. So I go out there and I said,
- 56:07yeah, you know, do you happen to have, actually, I don't even
- 56:13think I brought it up. He said, you remember, he said,
- 56:15you remember the necklace that your wife really likes the, you
- 56:20know, the elk bone sun wheel. And I'm like, yeah, he said,
- 56:23well, he said I just haven't, I haven't had any extra bone come
- 56:30up in in in the shop. You know, he's like, so here you
- 56:34go and he takes it off and he gives it to me to give to her
- 56:37and I'm like, dude, I can't, he's like here you can.
- 56:40He's like she likes it and and she can have it and I'm like see
- 56:45that is that is such a beautiful gesture of yeah, yeah.
- 56:53And passing it down like knowing where it came from and then when
- 56:56she got it, like she wears it not all the time.
- 56:59She wears it for certain occasions, you know.
- 57:01But she loves it and and and that's what matters you know, is
- 57:05it's the genuine, the genuine the the the gin.
- 57:09What do you call it? The.
- 57:12Generosity. Genuineness of it.
- 57:14Genuineness, yes. You know where it comes from the
- 57:18heart, that it's not like some show of kind of like, you know,
- 57:23in in an opposite way. It's it's, you know, not done
- 57:26out of spite. It's it's not done for show.
- 57:28You know, you don't do things just to try to get a reaction
- 57:31out of somebody. You do it because it's the right
- 57:33thing to do and it's the meaningful thing to do in it, in
- 57:36it, and it really solidifies a bond between you when you do
- 57:41these things with people. Yeah.
- 57:43You know, if you're gonna go out.
- 57:45That's a thing. It's like, that's the reason it
- 57:50goes back even to being like spiteful, you know, trying to
- 57:52trying to circle back to the topic.
- 57:54Yeah. But I mean I've, I mean it goes
- 58:00back to even doing like things things with petty things like
- 58:04like one time I remember we're seeing a couple of a couple of
- 58:08episodes ago you were talking about cursing and stuff and like
- 58:16I don't ever when I as I go down the Mystic path and stuff you
- 58:22know I'm learning magic and stuff.
- 58:24I'd like to learn curses until until later my focus is on
- 58:28healing, but but to do like curse somebody that'll fight,
- 58:36you know, because you. Oh.
- 58:40Yeah, boy that's that's one thing about me is I'm the
- 58:43quickest to forget like the friend I told you about that I
- 58:47guys, you guys get the altar. Little pocket altar we I went.
- 58:53I've casted inside like two or three times, but I've always
- 59:00brought them back in because the stuff that he's done was was so
- 59:06petty. It's not it's nothing to outlaw
- 59:10him for, you know. I mean I don't have I never
- 59:14outlawed him completely. I just like broke off because of
- 59:17like dude, you need to work on yourself and so he's starting to
- 59:23show some improvement stuff. I mean he's got what I have.
- 59:27Was it worse? Sometimes he's got agoraphobia.
- 59:29He don't want to be around people.
- 59:32And I've been trying for a while to get him to come out to
- 59:35rituals and stuff with me and places.
- 59:39And I think this year doing these little small rituals with
- 59:45him because I did one like on the full moon.
- 59:50I did a scobby ritual with him. You know, I was like, man, you
- 59:55won't come over, utilize this full moon with me.
- 59:58He said like sure because he was off work and.
- 1:00:02So I lit the fire pit and we did a ritual of Scotty and that was,
- 1:00:13and that I think that kind of like said things into
- 1:00:15perspective for him. If he said he felt better after
- 1:00:20that, I'm like, you do feel better after ritual like that.
- 1:00:24And so hopefully I can get him because he won't even eat out,
- 1:00:31even eat out in a restaurant because he's there's like people
- 1:00:34staring at him or something. I get it.
- 1:00:37I mean, I get it. I get it.
- 1:00:39I mean I've had to force myself to get with.
- 1:00:41I'm getting out and into the community and stuff like that
- 1:00:45before. And that's The thing is I I I do
- 1:00:51things to him whenever I separate myself.
- 1:00:54For him it's well, I'm not not fight it or malice or anything
- 1:01:02like that, you know, It's I do things because I care about him
- 1:01:08deeply that I and I wish him the best and I'll hope.
- 1:01:11But you can't change, you know I can't waste my breath on you.
- 1:01:16Yeah. But he's showing you.
- 1:01:23You know, as long as you're showing your genuine side
- 1:01:27towards people, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:28If you, if you genuinely care for someone's well-being, then
- 1:01:31that's what's going to come out. That's what's going to show.
- 1:01:34That's that's how it's going to manifest.
- 1:01:36And that's that's why that's your why in the world.
- 1:01:39You know, that's that's your purpose.
- 1:01:40That's what you're going to do for the reasons you're going to
- 1:01:42do it. It's it's not to be, you know,
- 1:01:47you know, the some, some, some sort of, you know, charlatan.
- 1:01:52You're not trying to make a buck.
- 1:01:53You're not trying to just, you know, get some light some
- 1:01:56whatever this or that, right? I mean.
- 1:01:59Yeah. When, when, when you're genuine
- 1:02:02about it, that's it's going to show you can't, you can't hide
- 1:02:07truth. Yeah, like just like you can't
- 1:02:16like he like some of the things he's done.
- 1:02:18I've accused him of things that he says he did not do exactly.
- 1:02:24You know which kind of seems that way.
- 1:02:27Like I I accuse him of cheating or cheating on my one of my exes
- 1:02:35or at one point because the way it looked you know because it
- 1:02:40was after break up 14 hours later he got with her or they
- 1:02:44got together kind of was suspicious but they they The
- 1:02:50thing is it's all water in the bridge now it's we don't have
- 1:02:57any no boy between us and that's good.
- 1:02:59Whatever I do I wish him the best.
- 1:03:02I wish he would change sometimes, but you can't just
- 1:03:06force people to change. No, no, dude, I know I'm.
- 1:03:11I could, I could write a book on that, but.
- 1:03:15Nobody's going to if somebody who's dead setting their way is
- 1:03:19not going to change at all that was that was your breath to just
- 1:03:24try to force them onto using your way.
- 1:03:30They're going to do things in their own time.
- 1:03:32Yeah. And then their.
- 1:03:34Own way, you can, you can try. You can try it first, you know
- 1:03:37you can try it first. But once they start them showing
- 1:03:42that resistance and constantly show resistance, you just got to
- 1:03:46not waste your breath on it. Yeah, you there.
- 1:03:49There comes a point where you've got to decide when to take the
- 1:03:56ship into harbor, let them off and continue sailing, and either
- 1:04:03they're going to, either they're going to be there when you come
- 1:04:06back around and pick them up again, or they're not.
- 1:04:08Yeah, that's the way it's going to be, my friend.
- 1:04:11It's even with my friend he's like he's showing some promise
- 1:04:14now like that's the way he he says he's he'll do this and do
- 1:04:19this and this and this but I don't know.
- 1:04:22But but it's worth a shot you know and time tails and
- 1:04:28hopefully hopefully this this you coming you'll celebration
- 1:04:33with him he'll put in a little bit bigger perspective.
- 1:04:36That's the reason why I wanted to do it a lot just to just hand
- 1:04:39in another friend or just a couple of friends with small
- 1:04:43friends doing. He's in vain, yeah.
- 1:04:46Right, man, Right. Exactly.
- 1:04:48Really want to be people who would say they want to be
- 1:04:50heathen who never actually came out to a Heathen's event and
- 1:04:56like, well, here's your chance. Here's your chance.
- 1:04:59What's this, dude? Just what's that?
- 1:05:00Just that. So you don't have to be around
- 1:05:01people. Yeah.
- 1:05:03You know, man, like, what's up with that?
- 1:05:05You know, you do what you talk about.
- 1:05:06All you know that that's. I've seen that too, right
- 1:05:09people? That everybody wants to be
- 1:05:11heathen until it's time to do heathen stuff?
- 1:05:14Yeah, it's like everybody wants to be.
- 1:05:17Everybody wants to do the everybody wants to dance until
- 1:05:22it's time to dance. Yeah, you know the curtain call
- 1:05:28comes on and when when it's when it's time for the metal to meet
- 1:05:30the meet, you know, and everybody that was all this,
- 1:05:33they're all, they're flapping their jaws talking a big game
- 1:05:36when it. Comes to.
- 1:05:37Put the metal to the meet and put the boots to the ground.
- 1:05:39Where the heck are you? That's.
- 1:05:41The reason why? That's one of the reasons why my
- 1:05:43old fried kind of fiddled out. It's because we were trying to
- 1:05:47put a lot of effort and energy into getting people to cut.
- 1:05:50Just we were trying to be like an open type hop place, you
- 1:05:53know, for people to learn, come and learn and every time we get
- 1:05:59people interested because we didn't put our, we don't put, we
- 1:06:04didn't put our private address out.
- 1:06:05It was a private address, a private property.
- 1:06:08We didn't put it out there for everybody.
- 1:06:10We would give it to them privately and when they asked
- 1:06:14for the address, they would not show up.
- 1:06:18It's like people say where is this at?
- 1:06:20Where address is that? Then we give them the address
- 1:06:22and they don't even show up or even let us know they're not
- 1:06:24coming. Yeah, and that's where we like.
- 1:06:28And so we decided to spam because it was putting too much
- 1:06:34toll on. It's a lot.
- 1:06:38It's a lot of. Things at the grassroots level
- 1:06:42and there's not a lot of, you know, and I'm not trying to I'm
- 1:06:45not, I'm not trying to diminish the the the doers, right.
- 1:06:50I mean 'cause there are definitely people out here that
- 1:06:52are putting in the work putting in a lot of work and it shows
- 1:06:58and it shows well for them, right.
- 1:07:01Their their reputation is growing their their might and
- 1:07:03their main is, is is is growing exponentially, right.
- 1:07:06And that's all great, but there's there's so much else
- 1:07:11that I that I tend to see too. That's it's like, man, you know,
- 1:07:14if if you're asking about stuff, if you're wanting to know about
- 1:07:17stuff, then why aren't you putting in the effort?
- 1:07:22To. Follow up on the things that are
- 1:07:24happening. In your area.
- 1:07:26Even if it's in, you know, within an hour or so of.
- 1:07:28Your area. Granted, it's not going to be
- 1:07:30like, oh, it's not just two doors down.
- 1:07:33I can't just walk into my backyard.
- 1:07:35It'll be there. Like, no, of course not.
- 1:07:36Like you got to get like, there's put some effort into
- 1:07:41this. Prove your worth, people.
- 1:07:45Are I don't like their worth you?
- 1:07:47Prove your worth to them. They're proving their worth to
- 1:07:49you. There has to be this mutual
- 1:07:52Worthing that takes place between people for us to happen
- 1:07:56like that's. Fundamental either I'm not.
- 1:07:59I'm not put peace though is I don't care how people say or how
- 1:08:03people do their their practice. You know, you know, my my thing
- 1:08:10is, my thing is they need to actually do practice.
- 1:08:13Yeah, you're not calling yourself heated unless you're
- 1:08:15doing heat and shit. You know I mean if if there's a
- 1:08:20group if there's a thing that's happening and and it's you know
- 1:08:24you know open to the public or or or at least an invite only
- 1:08:28sort of thing to do stuff and and you were the one invited.
- 1:08:33You. Realize that there are probably
- 1:08:34others that wish they were invited that didn't get invited.
- 1:08:37And then you didn't show up and the others missed out on the
- 1:08:40opportunity because why? Why Why didn't you show up?
- 1:08:44Why 'cause you were too lazy. You didn't feel like it.
- 1:08:47Like what's? What's a good reason why you
- 1:08:49can't, you know, show up for the thing?
- 1:08:53When you've been. When you've been invited, When
- 1:08:55you've been called upon. Or you've been talking about it.
- 1:08:59We've been talking about that you're going to come out and do
- 1:09:01this and you want to is you believe in this, this, this.
- 1:09:04Well, don't call yourself a practitioner of of it.
- 1:09:10Unless you actually do the practice, actually go out there
- 1:09:13and do it right, it won't be done.
- 1:09:16Yeah. Don't call.
- 1:09:18Yourself. The thing if you're not doing
- 1:09:19the thing. Like I'm calling you both, man.
- 1:09:24Yeah, 'cause we'll see it. We'll we'll we'll see it.
- 1:09:30We'll be like, Hey, you say you're this, but your deeds show
- 1:09:36otherwise. Oh yeah, and see me.
- 1:09:39I'm, I'm, I'm coming more out of my shell now.
- 1:09:41I used to be like a reserve type person, even ritual.
- 1:09:44Now I'm just, I'm going full hang out.
- 1:09:49I was like like this this year was like, I want to get out and
- 1:09:53actually start howling at the moon or what's left of it.
- 1:09:58That's such a good feeling. I'll tell you that fire on the
- 1:10:01mountain when when we had our drum circle up there underneath
- 1:10:08the moon, there was howling. There was howling.
- 1:10:12Come on, dude. Yeah, I would.
- 1:10:14I would love. I would love to be a part of a
- 1:10:16group where we have have shoulder.
- 1:10:19Did you see that that that was that.
- 1:10:23I mean that was an awesome video too.
- 1:10:26I mean I because the video. I still got it on deck because
- 1:10:30every now and then I'm just like, I got to play this thing
- 1:10:32because it reminds me how awesome it was.
- 1:10:35But The thing is I one thing is I was wanting to do is I wanted
- 1:10:39to get to a point where we have kids at tribe.
- 1:10:43Tribe events that are coming of age especially around this time
- 1:10:47of year which is the time of year to do coming of age
- 1:10:50ceremony where they get out and they they they transfer the
- 1:10:54fellows into wolves and just terrorize the neighborhood, the
- 1:10:58village, the women of the village you know and that and
- 1:11:02it's becoming a very certain like we could do that in our
- 1:11:05groove is like we'll just get these pull the pull the get the
- 1:11:09young teenagers aside and we teenage men aside and then start
- 1:11:15terrorizing all the girls. So that's fun.
- 1:11:18It was it was really fun. It was like, you know, it's just
- 1:11:24like like how people went around saying it's like their version
- 1:11:28of going around on Halloween and and say and setting back to
- 1:11:33people on fire. Right.
- 1:11:36Yeah. Just a just a good just a good
- 1:11:40bit of ruckus, you know what I mean?
- 1:11:41Yeah, good ruckus. Like that's what we need.
- 1:11:44That's where it means a lot more ruckus.
- 1:11:48In the, in it, in its proper applications.
- 1:11:52Ain't nothing wrong with that, you know.
- 1:11:54Oh yeah. And then when everybody knows
- 1:11:55it's going to happen, too, when you when everybody's expensing
- 1:12:01it. Oh yeah, But I just like.
- 1:12:06We reminds me of the fire on the mountain man where like one
- 1:12:11night me and Papa and Zeb, we were we were awake and most
- 1:12:18everybody else had fallen asleep, you know, and we were
- 1:12:22still awake and we were, we had been feasting earlier that day.
- 1:12:30We had like, elk sausage and reindeer meat and cheese and
- 1:12:37crackers and wine, meat and beer and all kinds of stuff out there
- 1:12:41at the campsite, right? Oh yeah.
- 1:12:43So everybody had to fallen asleep except for the three of
- 1:12:48us and we're like, hey, let's go raid our let's go raid the camp
- 1:12:53and steal all the food and let's bring it back to our own camp
- 1:12:56and let's feast again. So we did.
- 1:12:59We were like, we were like skulking around out there in the
- 1:13:02night, like just taking food and and and pillaging our own
- 1:13:07campsite. Well, you know, I mean it was
- 1:13:08all in fun, but it was like, they're they're asleep.
- 1:13:11We're like, haha, you idiots. You know we got your food.
- 1:13:18That would be like something you we can do for shadow mood or
- 1:13:21something like that. Just go to the campsite.
- 1:13:25See I know I'm trying to convince my friend that I'm
- 1:13:27telling you about he. I'm trying to I'm thinking to
- 1:13:29get him on board to become the shadow mood.
- 1:13:32Shadow mood with me and stuff. And yeah, and I I show them from
- 1:13:38the video of it of that last one that you had you know, and he
- 1:13:43felt he he sounds like he's he's all down for it.
- 1:13:46Well, let's go, man. Because I just said the only
- 1:13:49time we get they get real wild and stuff.
- 1:13:52You don't like when people get too wild, like party wild
- 1:13:55sometimes. But all right.
- 1:13:56Well, there's some days it's going to get that way.
- 1:13:57But sometimes it's it's serious business.
- 1:14:01Yeah, I mean, Shadowmoon is kind of one of those things where, I
- 1:14:03mean, yes, it's family friendly, but, you know, and and and
- 1:14:06there's also, you know opportunities at least, you know
- 1:14:09one night for for the adults to to be adults, You know what I
- 1:14:13mean? With respect to to to everybody,
- 1:14:15I mean there's rules. Everybody play, There's a Griff
- 1:14:18Stead, I mean everybody and all that.
- 1:14:21But yeah, it's a it's a it's it's a Ripper on good time,
- 1:14:24dude. Oh yeah.
- 1:14:26We should make. It up I think.
- 1:14:27I think he would. I think he would have some
- 1:14:29aspect that he would like to be a part of and others he would we
- 1:14:35enjoyed more like the song ritual and stuff like that.
- 1:14:39Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:14:43Hell Blow is is one of the best rituals I've seen performed,
- 1:14:51been a part of you know attended that sort of thing.
- 1:14:54Like just everything about the last two years.
- 1:14:56Their. Their.
- 1:14:57Their hell bloat is. Oh yeah.
- 1:14:59So beautiful. It's it's so amazing.
- 1:15:02Yeah. It's.
- 1:15:03I can't. I can't.
- 1:15:04It's hard to describe in words, but it's it's you just got to
- 1:15:07experience it to to know what I mean, so oh.
- 1:15:11Yeah, but yeah, I'm, I'm kind of looking forward to that and and
- 1:15:16also getting looking forward just to sitting down with you
- 1:15:18and just chatting up and talking wisdom like this, you know,
- 1:15:23picking your brain. Yeah, man, it was so good to
- 1:15:26meet you in person last year at the show.
- 1:15:29Yeah, I. Wish I had more time with you
- 1:15:31though. Because I was about to say, you
- 1:15:32know, unfortunately the the circumstances didn't afford us
- 1:15:35more time to actually hang out and and socialize.
- 1:15:38The down, the down and do stuff. Yeah.
- 1:15:40But I mean I I thought even bad in that inviting you just to
- 1:15:45stay at my house. I mean it would be on air mat.
- 1:15:49It would probably be on air matches that I would have to
- 1:15:51acquire from somewhere. But and you have a dog.
- 1:15:56You have a dog running around and stuff, but.
- 1:16:01You ever feeling froggy man and and and you you find yourself up
- 1:16:04in this area. You know, we, you know, we got a
- 1:16:07spare room you. Know you.
- 1:16:09You can spend the night we it's no problem.
- 1:16:12So I'm. Gonna I was gonna.
- 1:16:14I didn't make it this year, but I was gonna invited the year
- 1:16:17before. But I went to the room fair up
- 1:16:20there. Yeah.
- 1:16:22Yeah, we didn't plan for me up there one day, just one weekend.
- 1:16:28It's a good time. I've been a couple of times
- 1:16:30there to that one and it's. Yeah, it's at least it's better
- 1:16:34than the one that's here that we have.
- 1:16:36We have just, we don't have, we don't even have horses and ours
- 1:16:40and oh really, we don't even have a joust Joust.
- 1:16:46How can you call it a Ren fair without a joust?
- 1:16:48I know it's like a it's like it's a small.
- 1:16:52It's lovely. It's just vendors and shows.
- 1:16:55Yeah. And then I can't say it too
- 1:16:57long, huh? Like a medieval?
- 1:17:02Yeah, it's a it's basically a rain festival.
- 1:17:05It's in the Florence. It's only three days.
- 1:17:08It's only two days out of the year.
- 1:17:10Y'all have a full week. You have like a full month of
- 1:17:13it. Yeah, it's, I think it's every
- 1:17:16weekend leading up to Memorial Day.
- 1:17:20I think is is when ours is right.
- 1:17:22Yeah. Let's say at the same time of
- 1:17:25year, it's the same, exact same time of year as the one they
- 1:17:28have in. I think it's in Georgia.
- 1:17:31They have it the same time of year.
- 1:17:34Yeah, I think so. I prefer the ones in the like
- 1:17:39towards the end of the year usually like Labor Day or
- 1:17:42whatever there's and then then then there's there's the whole
- 1:17:46the Viking experience in in North Carolina.
- 1:17:49That's that's the thing I want to go to.
- 1:17:52I didn't know there was such a thing.
- 1:17:54I'd I'd say when you bring something like that down here,
- 1:17:57like I want to buy 155015 to 30 acres of land and just just to
- 1:18:03use as recreational land to put a rent there in a Viking
- 1:18:07festival here. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:09No, they have a they have a thing in North Carolina.
- 1:18:12It's called the Viking experience, TVE.
- 1:18:15But if you go on Facebook or whatever it's called, it's the
- 1:18:17Viking experience. Papa Olson's vended there.
- 1:18:19Zeb's, you know, Hogamore's been there.
- 1:18:22Yeah, it's a big, huge to do. I wish we had something like
- 1:18:28down here is it that was like as big as mid guard spots in
- 1:18:33Europe. That'd be that'd be hella cool.
- 1:18:36I still want. To go there I I'd like to say
- 1:18:37this is one of my like lifelong bucket list items is to go to
- 1:18:41midgards bloat. That and wagons.
- 1:18:44Yeah. Oh, two, yeah.
- 1:18:46Well, I want, I want, I want. I was over that play on.
- 1:18:49If I go to wagon, I want to go camping.
- 1:18:51There's a full camping experience and everything I.
- 1:18:53Mean. You'd have to.
- 1:18:54I mean like you're you're there in Germany in the middle of a
- 1:18:57freaking field. I mean you you have to the
- 1:19:01rainy. Seasons.
- 1:19:03Right, right. It's always, it's always raining
- 1:19:07there sometimes. That's just the nature of the of
- 1:19:12the of the land, man. That's.
- 1:19:13Gotten now gotten what's it called a Hellfest in UK?
- 1:19:18Yeah, Hellfest. It's either is it?
- 1:19:21I think it's Hell is that? Is it in a it's?
- 1:19:23Is it France Hellfest, I thought.
- 1:19:26It was in the UK, you know, I came back.
- 1:19:27To the UK? Yeah, it's one of them.
- 1:19:30Somewhere in there, yeah, yeah, there's another one.
- 1:19:34It's another one that Mara Morris usually likes to go to a
- 1:19:37lot because it's when they get this, their first starting
- 1:19:39festival, I forgot what it was. It's they like they go back to
- 1:19:47it like every year or something. Well, they've been at vodka in a
- 1:19:51few times. They don't even walk vodka as
- 1:19:54well, but it's a it's a different festival that they
- 1:19:58that that that's where they got their biggest start at.
- 1:20:01Yeah, man, Europe. Europe wrote the book on open
- 1:20:04air festivals, man, they they got that shit laid out.
- 1:20:07Yeah. Why can't we?
- 1:20:09Have that here like big big ones here like that we we used to
- 1:20:15have like. Man, we got no culture here.
- 1:20:18We used to have festival. Or is that like the Rock Star
- 1:20:21Energy Festival but in the van of Warped Tour?
- 1:20:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. Poor chance of greatness.
- 1:20:31Oz Fest used to be the thing man.
- 1:20:32Oz Fest, Oz Fest and then not Fest used to be the used to be
- 1:20:36the jam for the USI guess. But well, dude, man, this has
- 1:20:41been a great conversation. The Great.
- 1:20:44Great. We got our topic along a lot,
- 1:20:46but it kind of it kind of intermediate weed in there.
- 1:20:49Dude, I think we I think we I I think we played.
- 1:20:52I I think we played ball pretty well.
- 1:20:54I think we covered all the bases.
- 1:20:55I think we. Yeah, there was, there was,
- 1:20:57there was. It was just simple.
- 1:20:58It was like, there's not a whole lot to be said on it, you know?
- 1:21:01Yeah, we said we're going to be said.
- 1:21:04It was then. That's it.
- 1:21:05You know, It's like we can't be spiteful towards people.
- 1:21:07We got to, yeah, live with another man.
- 1:21:12You can be, but to what end, right?
- 1:21:16Yeah. Ultimately, is going to happen
- 1:21:19when. You.
- 1:21:20Yeah. I don't think it's just like
- 1:21:22saying like you want to you want to do some, like you want to do
- 1:21:29something in front of a bunch of Christians and stuff like that,
- 1:21:32you know? Or I forgot one.
- 1:21:34I said one thing. I was joking, only one doing one
- 1:21:36thing. What time is like, Oh yeah, it
- 1:21:40was there was this one person on Instagram that found found these
- 1:21:44people running around campus and these like duck tubes, you know
- 1:21:49and they're just acting like duck tubes.
- 1:21:53I would have to send you the the video that it's funny.
- 1:21:57I'll, I'll have to I'll have to send that to you.
- 1:22:01Share that with you. I still have it saved on my
- 1:22:03Instagram and I was like, I'll say and I said like I wouldn't
- 1:22:07mind doing this in front of, you know, like a like a church in
- 1:22:10front of a church gathering or something like that.
- 1:22:12It's like she's like, Nah, I don't wish that on anybody.
- 1:22:16Isn't coming from a a Pagan as well, Yeah, but.
- 1:22:22Yeah, I think for the most part, you know, Pagans and and and you
- 1:22:26know, have have a heart that wants to steer away from doing
- 1:22:32things in a way that we feel might somehow backfire.
- 1:22:40Yeah, like I would like, I would like to say what kind of example
- 1:22:44would I would like to set for the people, for people that
- 1:22:47don't accept that example for us?
- 1:22:50Yeah, Or something that has gotten that.
- 1:22:52It's like like what kind of leave, leave for what kind?
- 1:22:59Do I want to be a better person and be above these people that
- 1:23:03keep shunning us? Right.
- 1:23:05Yeah and that's The thing is one of the things is about the
- 1:23:11people I work with. A lot of the the Christians I
- 1:23:13work with are tolerant of me. You know, they don't want me to
- 1:23:19talk about my paganism all the time.
- 1:23:22But I was like OK, they don't talk about Christianity all the
- 1:23:24time. It's a it's a equal two way St.
- 1:23:28man. Yep.
- 1:23:29Exactly. I mean, it goes both ways.
- 1:23:33You know what I'm saying? It's I don't need to bring
- 1:23:35myself down to your level and and and hate something out of
- 1:23:39ignorance or or be spiteful because just because I don't
- 1:23:43need to bring myself down to that level, I'm.
- 1:23:47I'm more informed, I'm better, I'm a better person for not
- 1:23:51bringing myself to that level, you know?
- 1:23:53What I mean? You know, they're not doing
- 1:23:55anything harmful to me. They're not doing anything
- 1:23:57harmful to us. So what if they don't like it?
- 1:23:59It ain't no skill. It's kind of like who Who said
- 1:24:02it? Like you know, I forget, but it
- 1:24:04was, it was a it was a stand up comic, you know, years ago.
- 1:24:07And it's kind of been the ongoing theme, even up to today,
- 1:24:09you know, So what if you get offended, right.
- 1:24:13Oh my God, you know, you know. Was it was it the was it George?
- 1:24:20Oh, what's his name it? Wasn't George Carlin, but it was
- 1:24:22Carlin. I missed that guy, man.
- 1:24:26He was like. Yeah, he was another one man.
- 1:24:28He was. He was.
- 1:24:29He was a gym. But he.
- 1:24:30Was like he was like he was like he was before Satan was cool.
- 1:24:37Facts. Facts, you know, but nothing.
- 1:24:40When you get offended, nothing happens.
- 1:24:42Not like, Oh no, you know, I'm offended and now I've got
- 1:24:45leprosy. No, nothing like that happens
- 1:24:48You. Know the only thing I can offend
- 1:24:52anything is that somebody constantly does something, you
- 1:24:59know? Like for this it's like if I'm
- 1:25:01all just like if somebody makes fun of me, like calls me slow or
- 1:25:04some of that, it constantly does that knowing that I'm on the
- 1:25:08spectrum. I'm going to be like, dude,
- 1:25:11first time I let you slide after the 4th, 5th time.
- 1:25:15That's not cool man. I mean doing it knowingly.
- 1:25:22Somebody in spite, Yeah. I think Spike had spite, deliver
- 1:25:29spite or something like that. Like it it it would be like a
- 1:25:36never ending cycle. We just kept trying to.
- 1:25:43Yeah, you'd never say it never would be satiated, you know?
- 1:25:46Oh yeah. I say pick your battles, you
- 1:25:51know, figure out like what's this all about and and does it
- 1:25:53even I, you know, I have to do that almost every day, you know?
- 1:26:01Just. Life, you know, and especially
- 1:26:03with as much social media presence as we get saturated
- 1:26:09with, you know, and then myself, as as someone who has a presence
- 1:26:14online, you know what I mean? Like, there's so many, there's
- 1:26:17so many opportunities for me to just be like, Nope, not doing
- 1:26:23this, not doing this, you know? Yeah, it's like, I want, I want
- 1:26:27to put somebody in their place online and they're like, but no,
- 1:26:31just let it slide because they're not going to, they're
- 1:26:33not going to hear me out. They're going to constantly come
- 1:26:35out with an argument. Is this somebody that can
- 1:26:37probably come in with a better argument, a kind of argument
- 1:26:39from my end, than I can because I stuck an argument?
- 1:26:45Yeah, well, I mean, if it's an argument, if it's a debate, you
- 1:26:47know what I mean? Like, look, you don't have to.
- 1:26:50I don't. I'm fine with people disagreeing
- 1:26:53on certain points, especially when it comes to like Heathenry
- 1:26:58related stuff because there's so much that we don't know and
- 1:27:01there's so much that we're continually still learning
- 1:27:05about, you know what I mean? So if I say something and then
- 1:27:08somebody else says, well, actually this that thing or the
- 1:27:10other and I go, well, well, what do you mean by that?
- 1:27:12Don't you mean this thing? And we start debating and we
- 1:27:15start right. I don't we don't have to agree
- 1:27:19on everything 100% of the time. We don't that's that's OK you
- 1:27:27know so but other times you know when you when you when you went
- 1:27:31up man I saw something earlier today and I'm just going to I'm
- 1:27:37going to wrap it up after this because I saw something earlier
- 1:27:41today and it was an article that somebody had shared to a group
- 1:27:44that I'm in and it was something on the lines of is is how did
- 1:27:48the Vikings celebrate birthdays. And I'm going I don't even want
- 1:27:52to click on the link because I know where this is going to go
- 1:27:56when I start and I start but I did I clicked on the link and
- 1:27:59I'm reading and I'm going Nope wrong wrong wrong, wrong, wrong,
- 1:28:03wrong. I'm just like and I'm like I I'm
- 1:28:06trying to to, like, reel myself back from the desire to want to
- 1:28:11go back to the person who posted this and going, first of all,
- 1:28:15where do I start with you sharing this bullshit of
- 1:28:18information, right, 'cause that's what I wanted to do.
- 1:28:23That's the I mean that's the right that's the way my one of
- 1:28:25my old friends with the with the what we call it where we can put
- 1:28:28there the Getty on my other group of my last five she would
- 1:28:32go online and try to correct everybody and she's like I'm
- 1:28:36more that she's more Recon than I am.
- 1:28:42I'm like, but The thing is, I was also, I was also based on
- 1:28:46myself at one part, but about somebody on a Facebook post
- 1:28:51talking about going to Valhalla, it's like if I want to go to
- 1:28:56Valhalla, that's where I'm going to go, you know and like,
- 1:29:00because. That's your decision, yeah.
- 1:29:03Yeah, it's your decision. Yeah, you could try.
- 1:29:06You could try. You could try as you might to
- 1:29:09get in, but you're not going to get it.
- 1:29:11Probably get it the way you're going, like go join the
- 1:29:15military. You know, I'm just I I.
- 1:29:20You know, it's it's it's more and more.
- 1:29:22To the point where I get to the to this realization that I just
- 1:29:26need to sit back and watch a lot of times and watch and grab a
- 1:29:32grab a bowl of popcorn. Yep.
- 1:29:34And just observe. You know if, if you.
- 1:29:39You know, it's just like. Me, I'm, I'm kind of welcome to
- 1:29:42the apocalyptic events that come like, sometimes, you know, Yeah,
- 1:29:47it's like they're talking about, you know, how they're talking
- 1:29:49about lately a massive solar storm may hit the Earth.
- 1:29:52I'm like, bring it on. Is that?
- 1:29:58Great, actually, actually, may be.
- 1:30:00Beneficial because it may take us back to good time.
- 1:30:03A better, a better, a better sense of better time.
- 1:30:07It might be just what we need. Yeah, you're you're off the.
- 1:30:10Internet, you know a good. Dose.
- 1:30:12Of reality of remember that we remember.
- 1:30:15How not all that long ago. None of this.
- 1:30:18Mattered. Didn't even.
- 1:30:20Wasn't even a thing. Didn't matter.
- 1:30:21Didn't we Didn't need it. Yeah, we.
- 1:30:25And that's the problem. Is is.
- 1:30:27We've become. We've we've unfortunately become
- 1:30:31a society that does need it. Yeah, for.
- 1:30:35I mean, I'm not saying you and I need.
- 1:30:36It or what I'm just. Saying like.
- 1:30:38You know, a lot of people would would crumble, would fall apart
- 1:30:45at the seams if the Internet was gone.
- 1:30:50Yeah, every Gen. Z or.
- 1:30:54Late millennial would be like panicking like crazy.
- 1:30:59Yeah, give me. One is that I think like when
- 1:31:04some people take. Have got their phones take away
- 1:31:06it'll seem just air scrolling like this just in their.
- 1:31:12Sleep I'm like I. Mean I'm guilty of scrolling and
- 1:31:16doing the scroll dance myself but I mean I grew up in I grew
- 1:31:20up in point on the cusp of technology coming out like that.
- 1:31:27I remember like when social media first came out I needed
- 1:31:30that dose. This was before cell It was on a
- 1:31:33cell phone, like I had to get back to my computer, right?
- 1:31:38And I'm like. And I was like, and myself now
- 1:31:41like. What am I doing?
- 1:31:43Yeah, it's like. Because I wanted to show my.
- 1:31:47Phone sometime. Grab a nine iron and just.
- 1:31:52Whack the shit. Out of it and do it fine.
- 1:31:57I hear you, man. I hear you.
- 1:31:59Hold, hold on one with the. Samsung.
- 1:32:06I got I got one of them. Was it the the Motorola I?
- 1:32:09Got another I got a Motorola because the the the old LG phone
- 1:32:13that I had, they don't even make them anymore.
- 1:32:17And I'm like, this thing was a beast.
- 1:32:18It was great. I owned, I had it for like 3
- 1:32:21years. It worked phenomenal.
- 1:32:22And then I thrown off of a vehicle and I landed on it and
- 1:32:26it bent and it broke. So I'm like, I got to get a new
- 1:32:28phone. I'm like, can I get another one
- 1:32:30like this? So like, oh, they don't make
- 1:32:31those anymore. LG doesn't make phones anymore.
- 1:32:33I'm like with the devil. Well, I I didn't.
- 1:32:39Make them cheaper now for like straight talk.
- 1:32:42Still, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:32:44The. The one, the.
- 1:32:45One the reason why I have a Samsung right now.
- 1:32:47I mean, I've had Samsung on and off, even for like for straight
- 1:32:51talk and stuff like that, but the one I got was a Christmas,
- 1:32:55Christmas gift for my mom a couple of weeks years back.
- 1:32:59And The thing is, before that I got, I got my ex's old Motorola,
- 1:33:06which was more state-of-the-art than the Sam.
- 1:33:08And it's like like I have a good phone now and then all of a
- 1:33:13sudden like like two or three weeks or two or three months
- 1:33:16later my mom surprised me with with this phone here.
- 1:33:20And I'm like, Oh well, it's better because it's got 3-1
- 1:33:24more, two more cameras on it than my other one because the
- 1:33:28dancers had four cameras. My son had four cameras.
- 1:33:32It's a little Italian one. That's the night vision camera.
- 1:33:35It's crazy, the technology, what they're what they're capable of
- 1:33:38now, but. But yeah, man, I think we're
- 1:33:41going to wrap it up now because we've been, we've been, we've
- 1:33:43been cranking this episode. Out, which I appreciate.
- 1:33:47Everybody like imagine, imagine if you were just sitting here
- 1:33:50stoned. With you for hours?
