- 0:13Hello you guys, welcome back to another episode of the hawk Girl Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kailee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's
- 0:20a new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day
- 0:22for you to become the Hawkgirl energy you want to attract happy may you,
- 0:27guys, I am feeling so inspired lately. I'm feeling so good going into
- 0:32a new month and entering May immediately gets me thinking of summer. And you
- 0:38guys know how I feel about summer. I am literally so excited to feel
- 0:43the warm weather on my skin and just have a tan and I don't know,
- 0:49just like plant things that you usually do in the summer. It just
- 0:52gets me so excited. And I decided to make a little series of a
- 0:59hawk Girl Summer because I really want to get back into my ideal routine.
- 1:04And I feel like every time I get into the winter season, I feel
- 1:08super unmotivated, but you know, still try my best to stick to a
- 1:12routine that I can work for myself and still focus on myself during that down
- 1:19season. I feel like every time winter comes around, I'm always a little
- 1:22bit more unmotivated and down because of the season. But when the sun is
- 1:26shining. When it's summer, I always feel so somotivated just to get back
- 1:30into routine and also just pump out more content. I don't know if that's
- 1:36a weird thing to say, but for me, for my work, I
- 1:38always feel like I'm so much better at posting consistently and posting more content in
- 1:42the summer. I think it's just because I'm motivated to film my routine.
- 1:46I'm motivated just to push out as much content as I can because the weather's
- 1:49actually nice out so I can film better quality content and all that. So
- 1:53yeah, I'm just so excited to enter a new season, a new month.
- 1:57I'm just feeling so so happy. Before we get into this episode of
- 2:00talking about our Hawkgirl summer prep, I wanted to quickly run through my last
- 2:06week of events because I feel like I haven't done a weekly recap in a
- 2:09long time, and I know some of you guys enjoy hearing a little life
- 2:13update on my end. So as you guys know, I am assumed to
- 2:17be bride. I'm not planning my wedding until the end of twenty twenty four,
- 2:23but obviously a lot of stuff has to happen before then. So we
- 2:25are finally looking for our engagement party venue. And I feel like some of
- 2:30you guys may think, like a venue for your engagement party that sounds kind
- 2:35of bougie, and it does. But the reason why we're looking for a
- 2:38venue is because we are doing a destination wedding, so our wedding is going
- 2:44to be more small and intimate. We're not inviting everybody to the destination just
- 2:47because I also know that I'm not expecting all my guests to pay that much
- 2:52to come to my wedding and all that. So I personally wanted to do
- 2:54a bigger engagement party and then a smaller wedding and just invite like close family
- 2:59and friends to the wedding and then like extended family and additional friends to our
- 3:04engagement party. So we have decided to do a bigger engagement party. So
- 3:07that's why we're getting a venue and all that and kind of making it a
- 3:09big deal because I know some people just do it at, you know,
- 3:14in a backyard or someone's house. We have decided, me and Zach that
- 3:17we're going to do a bigger engagement party, so we're going to need a
- 3:21venue for that. So we have been looking at venues in Ottawa because I
- 3:24have to do it in Ottawa just because we're doing a destination wedding and I
- 3:29just need to make it easy for my guests to get to the venue and
- 3:32all that. So we looked at three this past weekend and there was one
- 3:36that I did actually really like. It was a restaurant and they had an
- 3:39indoor option and an outdoor option unless like a little courtyard patio, which I
- 3:45really really liked. The only thing is is that it doesn't fully match the
- 3:50vision I had. I really wanted it to be in a large outdoor space
- 3:53in like a garden, just like forests kind of vibe, if that makes
- 3:58sense. I recently filmed a vlog of that weekend on my TikTok if you
- 4:00guys want to see that. But I also will be vlogging this week for
- 4:03YouTube on the other venues we visit, because we still have three to four
- 4:08more venues that we want to take a look at before and make our decision.
- 4:11We have a hard deadline on this Sunday to make our decision as to
- 4:15where we're going to do it, because we're already in May. We're planning
- 4:19to have this engaging party in August, so I need to start sending out
- 4:23invitations. I need to start getting all that information out to my family and
- 4:27friends. So we need to figure out a location by this Sunday. So
- 4:31anyways, that has been my week in last week is just really like figuring
- 4:36out locations that we have to visit, emailing people, you know, getting
- 4:41quotes all that. So a lot of my time has been put towards that.
- 4:45And then once we've secured the venue, I guess it's time to do
- 4:48the other searching, which is like a photographer, address, you know,
- 4:51catering, decor, all that. So definitely going to be a busy summer
- 4:57with all that. I'm also helping my best friend, not too much with
- 5:01her wedding, but her bachette's coming up. I think I've mentioned it before
- 5:04on the podcast. It's literally three weeks away, so I've been prepping all
- 5:08her outfits and just the events that are going to be taking place that weekend.
- 5:12And if you guys want me to let you guys know how the bacherette
- 5:15went after the fact, I'm happy to share, like the themes we did
- 5:18and you know, things I bought by the bacherette all that. If you're
- 5:23in that era in your life where you're hosting Bachette parties like me and helping
- 5:28it all out, I'm more than happy to share little itinerate that we did
- 5:31for that weekend. But yeah, clearly entering, you know, my wedding
- 5:35and bridal era right now. I'm feeling it right now, and it feels
- 5:39so crazy to actually be in it and planning and all that. So yeah,
- 5:44and so funny. My sister actually got me a wedding planner for my
- 5:46birthday, which was so kind of her, and I've been really loving it
- 5:49so far. I think it's going to be super helpful once we get closer
- 5:53to the actual wedding venue searching all that. But yeah, I'm so excited,
- 5:58and I know some of you guys actually message I posted a little hint
- 6:01of our wedding destination. I still am not one hundred percent sure on the
- 6:04exact destination, but we are planning to go visit it this summer to start
- 6:09touring venues and all that, because we need to obviously again secure a date
- 6:13as soon as possible to let our guests know well in advance. But I
- 6:16will share out more details on that once we figure out the exact location.
- 6:19We're still in the beginning stages of really like going on Pinterest and going on
- 6:24Google just to look at different venues and different destinations. I have a lot
- 6:29in mind, obviously, but I really need to keep in mind of like
- 6:32where would my guests go. I don't want it to be a destination that's
- 6:35too far, just because like long flight times and all that are not obviously
- 6:41key for everybody. I know a lot of people, you know, don't
- 6:43enjoy flying or you know, like grandparents and all that, Like we really
- 6:46would like to have our grandmas and grandpa's there. So we're just trying to
- 6:51keep in mind a destination that will work for everybody. But that's a little
- 6:57update on my side. Just all wedding talk all nothing else is really going
- 7:00on in my life, to be honest, Like I was so focused on
- 7:04Coachella in LA and now like as soon as I finished that trip, I
- 7:08was like, Okay, we need to talk wedding. I still have so
- 7:11much to do in my house as well, Like there's still like little projects
- 7:14I want to get done. I really want to eventually film a house tour,
- 7:16but I don't want to film it until everything's done with that I'm happy
- 7:21with. So there's still like little things that you guys will see in the
- 7:25coming weeks of little projects that we'll be doing throughout the house, like my
- 7:28office, our basement, our backyard all that. So we still have little
- 7:32things to do there. But that's a little life update on my end.
- 7:36So again, before we get into this episode, this kind of has a
- 7:40relation to the Hawkgirl Summer prep but I wanted to share my healthy habits that
- 7:44I'm getting back into for May because we used to do this all the time
- 7:46where I would share my goals for each month, and I feel like I
- 7:50really stopped doing that. I don't know why. I think I just haven't
- 7:55really filmed an episode that was close to the beginning of the month, so
- 7:58I kind of slacked on that. So my apologies on that. But since
- 8:01it is May second, I'm going to share three things that I'm making a
- 8:05huge priority this month. And I think it's just also going to better my
- 8:07mental health, help me get back into a routine because I think I was
- 8:11really lacking on my routine coming back from travels. It was really hard to
- 8:15get back into it. But I'm feeling so much better going into these past
- 8:18two weeks and feeling like I'm finally back to my old self. I'm feeling
- 8:22like I'm getting my routine in and a lot, And one big, big
- 8:24thing that I'm making a priority for May is waking up early again. I've
- 8:28been waking up at like seven fifteen, seven thirty usually in the winters,
- 8:33I always like sleep in a bit because obviously it's super dark at like six
- 8:37am in the morning, and I don't enjoy waking up in the pitch block.
- 8:43It's just a preference. And I know in the summer, typically when
- 8:45I wake up at six am in the summer, the sun is out and
- 8:48I feel like she motivated to get stuff done around the house, get work
- 8:52done, whatever. So I am making it a priority for myself to start
- 8:56waking up at six am again, or at least six fifteen. I've graduate
- 9:00at least started to put my clock at six forty five. Right now,
- 9:03I've done six forty five for the past three mornings, and it's been really
- 9:09really good to wake up at that time. But I'm gradually going you know,
- 9:13I'm gonna go to six thirty probably in the next few days, and
- 9:15then I'll go down to six fifteen and then six and whatever. So I'm
- 9:18trying my best to get back into that early morning schedule because I really enjoy
- 9:24waking up early, getting my greens in, going for my daily walks,
- 9:26especially in the summer. We have a little trail by my house and I
- 9:31always love to walk by the pond and I just find it so therapeutic and
- 9:35I find it so Yeah, it's just like one of my favorite things to
- 9:37do in the summer. And I feel like, obviously going into the winter,
- 9:41it's definitely hard to keep up longer walks since it is so cold.
- 9:43So I know Freddie's going to appreciate these longer walks again. And I started
- 9:48to get back into walks in the mornings last week and it felt really really
- 9:54good too, go back to the pond, go back to my happy place
- 9:56and just do that long walk. And yeah, it's just making me so
- 10:00excited to continue that routine and get back into it for the summer. So
- 10:03this one kind of goes into it. But one of my goals was my
- 10:07daily walks. I feel like I really slacked on that in the winter.
- 10:11Like I said, I just feel like as the season gets colder. I
- 10:13almost make an excuse of, you know, not going for longer walks just
- 10:18because it is cold, and honestly, I should really be getting a warmer
- 10:20winter jacket and actually bundling up and just sucking it up for the walk,
- 10:24but Kaylee didn't do that this winter. So Kaylee is making it a priority
- 10:28to just make her daily walks a priority in the mornings in the summer.
- 10:33And yeah, that's just like one of the big things that I'm really trying
- 10:37to prioritize is daily walks and waking up early. The last thing that I'm
- 10:41making a huge priority in May is just sticking to my routine because I feel
- 10:46like these past few months, I've really just been like on and off.
- 10:50I feel like there's some weeks where I'm like on it, I'm feeling great,
- 10:54feeling good on my routine, and then there's weeks where I fall off
- 10:58the track and I'm feeling, you know, unmotivated to get out of bed,
- 11:01I'm feeling like I don't want to do a workout. My mental health
- 11:05is just like not in a good space whenever I'm totally out of routine or
- 11:09when I'm just overwhelmed with work and I can't keep up with you know,
- 11:13content, or I can't keep up with whatever I have to get done for
- 11:16work, ads, et cetera. So it's normal to feel that way,
- 11:20and that's okay. It's good to know that, you know, not you
- 11:22know, always having waves in your routine is normal. It's not going to
- 11:26always be perfect, and I know that. But if I can do my
- 11:28best to stick to my routine and just stick to that healthy schedule, like
- 11:33healthy sleeping schedule, healthy you know, routine and all that, that is
- 11:37my biggest priority this may is just to really stick to a good routine that
- 11:41feels good for me. And yeah, just also when it comes to like
- 11:46my work routine, like I have different routines for different things, like my
- 11:48workout routine, my like actual job routine, my you know, I guess
- 11:54you could say my mental health routine, like just doing things that makes me
- 11:56feel good for my mental health, my skincare routine, like just those little
- 12:01routines that I do every morning that make me feel so good are just little
- 12:05steps that I find make my day so much better. And so if I
- 12:07prioritize that this month, I think it will really give me a good start
- 12:11to my summer and just really allow myself to make it feel more natural and
- 12:16just continue on in the summer and enjoying my routine. All right, so
- 12:20let's get into this episode, the Hawkgirl Summer Prep. You guys know we're
- 12:24all about hawkgirl shit on this podcast because it is a Hawk Growl Energy podcast.
- 12:28So we're getting into our Hawkgirl summer Prep. The first thing we're going
- 12:33to be talking about is mental health tips, but we're also going to be
- 12:37talking about self care. We're going to be talking about outfit inspo as well
- 12:41as getting back into summer activities. There's definitely a lot more that we will
- 12:45be talking about, but those are the four things that we're going to be
- 12:48talking about in this episode specifically. And then make sure to keep us on
- 12:52your notifications because we will be posting a part two next week as well.
- 12:56So mental health tips. Always find going into summer, my mood is always
- 13:03so good. As I already mentioned, like, I just feel the adrenaline
- 13:07is so good. I feel excited, I feel motivated. I just feel
- 13:11like everything is so much better because the sun is out. When the sun
- 13:16is out, I feel good. And one thing that I know for a
- 13:18fact that helps my mental health so so much is just enjoying the fresh air,
- 13:22going on my daily walks, being outside, like finding ways to do
- 13:28the things that I enjoy while I'm outside. So one thing that I always
- 13:31try and do is I always trying and to have my morning coffee outside.
- 13:33I am so excited just to wake up, do my whole morning routine,
- 13:37do my skincare, get ready for my day, go downstairs, make a
- 13:41coffee, and sit on my backyard porch and just enjoy the sunshine, just
- 13:46journaling outside, taking that time to plan my day and my planner outside,
- 13:50like just enjoying that fifteen minutes of sun before I start my work day.
- 13:54I'm so excited for that. So if you're someone that's trying to find ways
- 13:58as to how to get fresh air during the day, if you're someone that
- 14:01works in an office, definitely recommend making a coffee and just sitting outside for
- 14:07like ten minutes and just enjoying that fresh air, or getting a daily walk
- 14:11in and turning on a podcast. You can also if you work from home,
- 14:15you can work outside, you know, just get a patio chair and
- 14:18just sit outside and work from outside. I will definitely be doing that this
- 14:22year is just getting as much editing done and work done as I can while
- 14:26I'm outside getting a tan at the same time as well. It's always a
- 14:30competent boost when you have a tan, so I will be taking advantage of
- 14:33my tan time as much as I can while the sun is out. I
- 14:37feel so much better when I have a tan. My competence just always is
- 14:41boosted when I have one. And I'm telling you right now that sunshine is
- 14:43just the key for a mood booster. Like I'm not even kidding. I
- 14:48just find walking outside and just trying to prioritize things outside like activities with your
- 14:54friends or just anything in general, is just so important special in the summer.
- 15:00I just find it's one of my favorite things to do obviously in the
- 15:05summer, and I just definitely find it helps my mental health personally and may
- 15:09not help yours, but for me, I know when I prioritize time and
- 15:13I make you know, being outside a huge priority, and I know it's
- 15:18because I'm getting fresh air and I'm taking care of my body and I'm allowing
- 15:20it to you do things that I enjoy in the outdoor environment. Okay,
- 15:26so now we're going to go into a bit of self care and I'm going
- 15:28to talk about certain things that I do in the summer that allows me to
- 15:35feel good. And we're going to be more specific here in terms of like
- 15:37makeup, skincare, nails, all that. So one thing for skincare that
- 15:43is literally essential going into the summer is SPF. SPF will be your best
- 15:50friends, guys. Please do not forget that into your skincare routine. I
- 15:54think it's so so important, Like I still wear SPF and I literally will
- 15:58wear a hat like when I'm tanning, when I'm outside, like walking around,
- 16:02like I don't always wear a hat, Like I'm not that psycho.
- 16:06I guess you could say, like I don't. I like to have the
- 16:07sun on my face for sure, but I don't like to have the sun
- 16:11on my face for longer than like fifteen minutes, just because I don't want
- 16:15like any skin damage or anything like that. And for me personally, my
- 16:18face burns so easily, Like my cheeks get so burnt in my nose,
- 16:23so I just get burnt really easily on my face. Everywhere else I do
- 16:27not burn. I don't know why my face is so sensitive. So and
- 16:32I put like fifty on my face, Like I put a really strong sp
- 16:34off on my face. So it's not like I don't wear SPF. It's
- 16:37just my skin is I don't know, it's very sensitive on my face for
- 16:40some reason. So for me, I always like to wear a hat,
- 16:42wear sunglasses, and just try to avoid a tan on my face as much
- 16:45as possible. And I feel like I get a lot of questions about how
- 16:48I keep my face tan compared to my body, because my body is extremely
- 16:52tan compared to my face. And what I typically do is I actually use
- 16:56a skin tint. I use these skin tint by Summer Fridays. It is
- 17:02so good, you guys, It's so sheer. It literally feels like you're
- 17:04wearing nothing on your face. And I actually mix that in with my sunscreen,
- 17:07which is also by Summer Fridays. I think I've talked about it before.
- 17:11It's like probably my Holy Girl product. I just put that on every
- 17:14day, and I find it gives my skin the perfect match to my body
- 17:18because I always find like my face is always paler than my body no matter
- 17:22what. And I'm okay with that. I don't really like to use like
- 17:25any self tanner. Or anything like that, just because I feel like my
- 17:27skin gets bumps on it or just like reacts to the tanner. And I
- 17:33think a lot of people could agree with that, even like if you have
- 17:37acne prone skin, it's not really good to put self tanner on your face
- 17:41or anything like that. So personally, for me, I like to just
- 17:42put a skin tint on. I rarely wear a foundation in the summer unless
- 17:48I'm like going out for dinner. My everyday makeup is like what I just
- 17:52said, which is SPF skin tint. I will put a bit of concealer
- 17:56under my eyes, sometimes add a bit of blush. I love blush so
- 18:00much. I also love bronzer, so I always put a little bronzer on
- 18:03just to give again a bit more of a sun kissed, sunburnt look.
- 18:07And honestly, that's it. And oh, you guys know what else.
- 18:11I always put my summer Fridays vanilla beige lip bomb. That is a must.
- 18:15But that is like my goat to like everyday natural makeup look in the
- 18:21summer specifically as well. But I just find it's like, yeah, it's
- 18:25perfect, you don't need to wear all that makeup every day. In my
- 18:27opinion, everybody is beautiful. I also just find natural makeup in the summer
- 18:32just hits different, probably because of your tan and all that. I don't
- 18:34know, So that's like my goat to like self care skincare routine during the
- 18:41summertime. Another thing I'd like to point out when it comes to skincare in
- 18:44the summertime is I always like to use like lighter moisturizers. I don't like
- 18:48to use my thick one in the winter that I use just because my skin
- 18:51isn't as dry going into the summer season. One that I can highly recommend
- 18:56is the Drunk Elephant one. They have a sheer one. The whipped cream
- 19:02is like the thicker one, but there's just like their regular moisturizer, I
- 19:04believe, and it's more of a sheer one and it's so so good.
- 19:07I really like using that as like my moisturizer for the summertime. Okay,
- 19:11when it comes to nails, because you guys know, I get my nails
- 19:15done every month. It's a priority, which literally reminds me that I need
- 19:18to book a nail appointment for this week because my nails are so grown out.
- 19:22But I love to keep my nails basic like always, always, always.
- 19:26Sometimes I like to do a fun color in the summer because obviously bright
- 19:30colors in the summer like blue, lilac, baby pinks, all that,
- 19:34so I'm sure I will have some fun colors for the summer as well.
- 19:38I don't have exact names of the colors that I use, but I will
- 19:41give exact names for ones that I use all the time, like Bubble Bath
- 19:47and just the Funny Money, which is like a light white. Those are
- 19:52both by OPI, and I really really like those. For like a neutral
- 19:55nail color, that's what I typically ask for. I also ask for almond
- 19:59sh ape, and I like to keep them a bit long. I can't
- 20:03really say like the exact length that I do, but I typically ask for
- 20:07narrow almond shape with a neutral nail color like bubble Bath or Funny Bunny.
- 20:12I also have been loving French nails too. I used to do that all
- 20:15the time in high school, and I felt like I started to get back
- 20:19into French nails last year, and I did French like recently back in February,
- 20:23and I was obsessed with them. So I don't know what I'm going
- 20:26to do this week going into May maybe I'll do French, maybe you'll do
- 20:30like a baby blue something fun. But typically I personally like to keep my
- 20:33nails simple. I just love a good basic, neutral nail. I just
- 20:37find it always looks so so clean, so so fresh, and I always
- 20:42just feel so so good with a nice, clean, simple set. Okay,
- 20:47So next is summer outfit and SPA always fine going into new season.
- 20:51I'm always feeling motivated to update my wardrobe, add new things all that.
- 20:55Like, I am in desperate need for some summer pieces. I feel like
- 21:00I was, you know, trying to put an out put together for wedding
- 21:03venue touring last week because it was so so nice, it was so beautiful
- 21:07out and I'm like, I literally don't know what to wear, and that
- 21:10sounds embarrassing. I know, you guys aren't really like Killy. You probably
- 21:12have so many clothes. Yes, I do have so many clothes, but
- 21:15you girls get me. When you go in your closet and you're looking for
- 21:18somebody to wear, You're like, I have nothing, Like I don't know
- 21:21what I'm gonna wear. Like I feel like girls are always like that,
- 21:22where they just obviously have a lot of clothes, but they always feel like
- 21:26they have nothing to wear. I don't know, it's just the mentality that
- 21:29I have, maybe specifically, I hope you guys feel the same way.
- 21:32But anyways, I was looking at a Ritzia actually for some summer outfit inspo,
- 21:37just some cute tops, you know, some new pants, skirts,
- 21:41all that, and they have some really good stuff out right now. So
- 21:44if you guys don't know Ritzia, it is by far my favorite fashion brand.
- 21:48They just have the best basics, the pricing is so affordable in my
- 21:52opinion, it's really not that expensive, and the quality is so so good,
- 21:56you guys. I'm also gonna recommend Zara because I feel like Zara is
- 22:00a hidden miss with their quality, but they do have a really good trending
- 22:03and fashionable pieces that I do do love. I've been shopping at Zara for
- 22:08so so long, but if I was to compare Zara and Aritzia, I
- 22:11would say Aritzia is probably my go to just because the quality is so much
- 22:15better. In my opinion, you do pay a bit more than Zara pieces
- 22:19I find, but there is some really good affordable options as well at Ritzia
- 22:22that are totally worth the hype. In my opinion. Other places that I
- 22:26typically buy from is Revolve. Revolve does have some good stuff. Again,
- 22:30it can be pretty pricey, but I try my best to try and find
- 22:33things that are like at decent price points that I personally find are worth the
- 22:38hype or worth the investment or anything like that. Yeah, I know some
- 22:44of you guys find Revolved quite expensive, and I totally understand, like it's
- 22:47not. There's not everything that's cheap on there, but I do love to
- 22:51get a lot of good basics from there that I feel like you're going to
- 22:52last a long time, like a good pair of staple jeans, you know,
- 22:56some good basic teas or crop tops or like that, or jackets.
- 23:00I just find there's a lot of good things there that you can find that
- 23:03are honestly worth the investment. They also have just really really cute, like
- 23:07outfits for vacation. So if you guys have any vacations coming up, Revolve
- 23:11is a really good spot to look at for like really nice dresses, summer
- 23:17dresses, all that for going out for dinner or anything like that. Like
- 23:19I wish I had like a European trip planned for this summer because I feel
- 23:23like Revolve has so many good like summer dresses or anything like that. So
- 23:27if you guys are going to Europe, I highly recommend looking at Revolve.
- 23:30They have some really really cute stuff, Like I'm looking at Revolve for my
- 23:33engagement party dress to be honest, because I finally have really good stuff when
- 23:37it comes to special events like that. So if you guys have anything coming
- 23:41up this summer, like weddings or anything like that that you're you know,
- 23:44being a guest for or something, Revolve is a really good spot to find
- 23:48stuff like that. And then the last place that I actually really like shopping
- 23:51at is a website called sense I think that's how you pronounce it. It's
- 23:53based in Montreal, but again it's very similar to Revolve. I find it's
- 23:57just a lot of like well known fashion brands. Alo Yoga's on there,
- 24:03Annie Bing's on there, the Frankie Shop, just like higher end designers.
- 24:08But I sometimes I like to invest in good quality fashion pieces, as I
- 24:12said, just because I personally find some of them are worth the investment.
- 24:15But that's just my personal opinion. But if I had to pick like the
- 24:18best affordable spots for your go to summer wardrobe, I would say Zara and
- 24:23Aritzia are by far my favorite places when it comes to bathing suits. I
- 24:29feel like bathing suits are always something that's hard to shop for, especially in
- 24:33the summertime, because there are so many bikini brands, and there's a lot
- 24:37of bikini brands that are like stupidly expensive when it's like, why would I
- 24:42pay that much for a bikini shop in a bikini bottom. So some of
- 24:47these places I will recommend are stupidly expensive, but they are good quality and
- 24:52worth the hype in my opinion, and some I find are in my opinion,
- 24:57more affordable. So one is four three seven. I personally think four
- 25:00three seven is a pretty affordable brand for the top and bottom quality is so
- 25:06so good, like so so worth it in my opinion. They have such
- 25:10cute workout sets as well cute beach where all that. So four three seven
- 25:15is the brand. Another brand that I recently discovered when I went on my
- 25:18trip to Mexico, I was actually wearing the bikinis the whole entire time I
- 25:22was there. It's called Nude Swim. It is so good, you guys.
- 25:26They have matching headbands with their bikinis, which brilliant like I thought that
- 25:30was the cutest little fashioned idea ever. And they have cute little sarongs and
- 25:34all that, and they just came out with a bunch of new styles and
- 25:37again very similar pricing to four three seven, not too crazy, but they
- 25:41have really really good basics and the way they fit on your body, at
- 25:45least on my body. I literally was so obsessed with them, like I'm
- 25:49definitely going to be buying more this summer. Just overall the quality is really
- 25:53really good. I find it very very flattering and again in my opinion,
- 25:57worth the investment all right. Now, getting back into summer activities, I
- 26:03love to find ways again to be outdoors and still be active and still doing
- 26:07fun things, especially if there's like things that you want to do on your
- 26:11bucket list or like things that you want to do that you might be on
- 26:15a budget for. So obviously, like going into summer, you want to
- 26:18keep your weekends busy. You want to keep your weeks busy just doing things,
- 26:22being outside as much as you can all that. So one thing that
- 26:25I like to do that Zach and I are actually going to get into on
- 26:26the weekends is rollerblading. I love rollerblading so much I obviously skate. I
- 26:33play ring at if you guys didn't know that, So I love to skate.
- 26:37So rollerblading is a fun little activity to do. And we have an
- 26:40ice cream shop that's kind of close to our house, so I think it'll
- 26:41be really fun to go rollerblading. Go'll get some ice cream and just make
- 26:45it like a Sunday night thing where we do that together. So I think
- 26:49that will be really fun. Another thing I like to do is I like
- 26:52to go biking. This is something that I used to do with my parents
- 26:56and my sister when we're in the COVID lockdown situation. Every Sunday we would
- 27:00go biking around our neighborhood and just like look at nice houses. I don't
- 27:04know, I find that it's always fun when you go in like a nice
- 27:07neighborhood and ride your bike and just like admire the pretty houses. But I
- 27:11love biking so much. It's a great workout and it's just a fun activity
- 27:15to do in the summer. One thing that I'm super excited about that I
- 27:18always love to do with my sister during the week is going on a picnic
- 27:22on the beach, watching the sunset, ordering a pizza, or getting your
- 27:26favorite sandwiches, maybe bringing a few you know, drinks, wine, whatever,
- 27:33and just watching the sunset is my favorite thing in the entire world.
- 27:37Like, we do not have nice beaches here, I will be honest.
- 27:40We have some nice parks, but I just love I just love watching the
- 27:44sunset, Like no matter where I am, Like it could be the crappiest
- 27:47location and I would still enjoy just sitting down with a glass of wine or
- 27:51with you know, some ice cream or whatever and just watching the sunset.
- 27:53It's something that just makes me feel so so good. So I'm definitely looking
- 28:00forward to sunset nights with my sister. I think it's gonna be so fun.
- 28:03Or with your best friend or with your partner, whoever it is,
- 28:07it's definitely gonna be a good time. This also gets me really excited is
- 28:11patios, Like going out for dinner with your partner or your best friend again
- 28:15and hitting up a patio, or even after work, just hitting up a
- 28:18patio with your best friend getting drinks, Like, oh my god, that
- 28:22just makes me so excited. I love being on a patio. There's just
- 28:26some type of good feeling that you have on a patio that just makes me
- 28:30so happy. Another thing that makes me think of summer is summer nights,
- 28:33and I think about having a fire, making smores, roasting marshmallows, Like
- 28:38my parents have a fire pit in their backyard and I just love having a
- 28:42fire. Like the perfect night to me would be watching the sunset, eating
- 28:48my pizza, drinking some wine, and then heading back home, having a
- 28:52fire and making smores and just like chilling in the backyard like that to me,
- 28:57Oh and maybe picking up ice cream too. I don't know. The
- 29:00perfect night for me is something around those nights where you have to have a
- 29:03sunset involved, you have to have a fire involved, you have to have
- 29:07smores involved, and oh my god. And then also barbecue season, like
- 29:11eating like a nice you know, hot dog or hamburger or steak or chicken
- 29:15kebab or anything like that. Like even like thinking about barbecued recipes, Like,
- 29:21guys, you know, I'll be filming some barbecue recipes on my TikTok
- 29:25and Instagram, Like I'm so excited for barbecue season. That is going to
- 29:29be some good food like corn on the cob Let's talk about corn on the
- 29:32cob Let's talk about those foods that you eat in the summer watermelon, Like,
- 29:37oh my god, I can't, I can't. I'm getting too excited.
- 29:38The next episode is going to be more specific to healthy recipes, so
- 29:42again, stay tuned for part two, but we're going to get into healthy
- 29:45recipes that I personally love to have in the summertime specifically. But that's a
- 29:49bit of a sneak peek of some stuff we're gonna be talking about. But
- 29:53barbecue season gets me so excited. And then the last few activities are like
- 29:59driving movies that's always a fun thing to do at night, I find instead
- 30:03of just a typical movie theater. Visiting cottages on the weekend, like I'm
- 30:07very excited for that. Zach's family has a cottage, and then my best
- 30:10friend also has a cottage that she just recently bought. So a lot of
- 30:14cottage weekends will be in my near future, probably starting in June when may's
- 30:18a bit hectic for me, so I feel like June will be a little
- 30:21less busy and there'll be a lot of cottage weekends lined up. And then
- 30:23honestly, just a beach day, like taking a day off on the Saturday
- 30:27and just going with your best friend to the beach and just enjoying your time
- 30:32by the water with your best friend like that just sounds like the perfect day
- 30:37in my opinion. So that's just some things that I recommend to prep for
- 30:41your Hawk Girl summer. These were more so not about health and wellness,
- 30:45but just about things to keep in mind going into summer, like finding,
- 30:49you know, some outfit inspo for your summer days and summer nights, keeping
- 30:56up with some good self care habits, focusing on your mental health, as
- 31:00well as just some summer activities to get back into and get you excited for
- 31:03summer. But next week's episode is really going to be more focused on healthy
- 31:08recipes, summer workouts, how to keep yourself motivated during the summer's season,
- 31:14and just again more healthy recipes and my personal plans for the summer as well.
- 31:18So make sure to stay tuned for part two. But thank you guys
