- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, I'm not ready yet. It's been gone five days.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I forgot how you do everything year. I forgot where
- 0:07Speaker 1: everything is. Anyway, we've got a lot to talk about today.
- 0:10Speaker 1: So what a Memorial Day weekend? I never saw whether
- 0:15Speaker 1: like that as you're leaving town Friday, the most beautiful
- 0:19Speaker 1: sunny day, as you're coming back last night, most beautiful
- 0:23Speaker 1: sunny evening, and then in between nothing but rain. It
- 0:28Speaker 1: was the worst weather ever for a Memorial Day weekend.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But I mean it was a great Memorial Day if
- 0:34Speaker 1: if you own an umbrella store or something like that.
- 0:36Speaker 1: But a lot to get to today. We're we're going
- 0:38Speaker 1: to get to all the latest on IRAN. We'll run
- 0:40Speaker 1: that down for you. Colbert goes off the air. I
- 0:43Speaker 1: wasn't here for that the next day, but we'll do
- 0:45Speaker 1: the autopsy of exactly what went wrong. New Jersey Governor
- 0:50Speaker 1: Mikey Cheryl getting a lot of criticism for pulling the
- 0:54Speaker 1: cheapest publicity stunt. A lot more to get to anywhere.
- 0:59Speaker 1: To start with, I ran, negotiations look pretty good according
- 1:03Speaker 1: to the President. Now you've got to put an asterisk
- 1:05Speaker 1: on that. That's you know, there is a Donald Trump
- 1:07Speaker 1: exaggeration factor sometimes but it seems to be going well
- 1:12Speaker 1: and they are coming to our you know, our terms
- 1:16Speaker 1: on a lot of stuff. It's pretty much ninety percent
- 1:18Speaker 1: agreement now. Now, of course, remember every agreement around makes
- 1:23Speaker 1: they always break in no time at all. But they've
- 1:26Speaker 1: agreed to give up the nuclear stuff. Yeah, they've agreed
- 1:31Speaker 1: to give up everything nuclear. Now they're sticking point is
- 1:35Speaker 1: they're not yet totally agreeing to never again pursuing any
- 1:40Speaker 1: nuclear material, but that'll come. They tried to pull in
- 1:46Speaker 1: some crap over the weekend, especially yesterday Memorial Day. They
- 1:49Speaker 1: had some suspicious ships out there trying to lay mines
- 1:54Speaker 1: straight of horn Moves in the Gulf. They were trying
- 1:56Speaker 1: to mine the gulf. So our military, our Air Force
- 2:00Speaker 1: and Navy quickly quickly blew them up. So there was
- 2:04Speaker 1: some bombing yesterday as we took out a number of
- 2:07Speaker 1: ships and vessels that were trying to lay mines. They
- 2:11Speaker 1: were completely destroyed yesterday, the US, calling them self defense strikes.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Sent Com spokesperson said the US military eliminated several IRGC
- 2:22Speaker 1: boats that were seen mining the Strait. Also took out
- 2:25Speaker 1: a surface to air missile site in bomder Abbas the
- 2:30Speaker 1: missile site was at Iran's primary naval station. They thought
- 2:34Speaker 1: it was targeting a US warplane. It was quickly taken out,
- 2:38Speaker 1: so that'll help the negotiations a little. Now Here's that's
- 2:42Speaker 1: how it's done. If they give up the nuclear stuff.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It's mostly dust. It's mostly nuclear dust under the rubble
- 2:49Speaker 1: of the nuclear reactors we took out and everywhere else
- 2:52Speaker 1: we thought there was nuclear material, we bombed the hell
- 2:55Speaker 1: out of it. So it's basically dust in the ground.
- 2:58Speaker 1: But it can be extract believe it or not. We
- 3:01Speaker 1: know how to do that. We're very good at that.
- 3:03Speaker 1: We've got teams that actually know how to get in,
- 3:06Speaker 1: get nuclear material and remove it. We had to do
- 3:10Speaker 1: that in Libya after Kadafi gave up his nuclear material.
- 3:14Speaker 1: These teams went in and got it all, scooped it
- 3:17Speaker 1: up and knew how to get it out of the ground,
- 3:19Speaker 1: knew how to transport it out of there. So they
- 3:21Speaker 1: haven't agreed on how this will be done. Option number one,
- 3:26Speaker 1: we will go in get the nuclear material, either destroy
- 3:31Speaker 1: it in Iran, which can be done, or we will
- 3:35Speaker 1: remove it ourselves. Option number two, this is the one
- 3:38Speaker 1: Iran is leading towards. They will turn over their nuclear
- 3:42Speaker 1: material to Pakistan or Turkey or Russia or China or
- 3:48Speaker 1: some other country we can't trust, but they may like
- 3:53Speaker 1: that option.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I don't know if any other country wants to receive
- 3:56Speaker 1: nuclear material and have to store it, it's better if
- 4:00Speaker 1: we just go in and get it out. But again
- 4:04Speaker 1: I like that option. We would just go in and
- 4:07Speaker 1: destroy it. There. There's another third option, which is not
- 4:10Speaker 1: too good. Iran would agree to heavily dilute it. Keep
- 4:14Speaker 1: the uranium, but dilute it. If you want to use
- 4:19Speaker 1: the nuclear material for commercial purposes, for energy purposes, you
- 4:24Speaker 1: enrich it to about twenty percent. For a nuclear weapon,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you got to get it to ninety percent. Well, Iran
- 4:32Speaker 1: headed up to sixty percent and climbing. That's why we
- 4:35Speaker 1: went in when we did, they were getting close to
- 4:37Speaker 1: weaponizing it. So diluting it, I don't know. That would
- 4:41Speaker 1: require very intense international oversight. That'll be subject to more negotiation.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So I like that we go in and destroy it there.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think that's the best option. So we'll see what
- 4:54Speaker 1: happens with that. Hey, this crazy governor New Jersey, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: know if she's crazy, it's just silly. He's kind of
- 4:59Speaker 1: a silly governor, Mikey Cheryl. I don't know why she
- 5:04Speaker 1: needed to do this. She's now the governor early in
- 5:07Speaker 1: her term, seems to be, you know, not having any controversy,
- 5:11Speaker 1: any problems. I don't know why you need these cheap
- 5:13Speaker 1: publicity stunts, but it might be a sign of things
- 5:16Speaker 1: to come. Big ice facility in New Jersey, and if
- 5:22Speaker 1: any official wants to go into the ice facility, it's
- 5:24Speaker 1: easy enough to do. You call Homeland Security, you call
- 5:28Speaker 1: up and you make arrangements to visit and they will
- 5:31Speaker 1: give you a tour of the ice Facility's done all
- 5:32Speaker 1: the time. Robert Menendez Junior did that. Some other local
- 5:37Speaker 1: officials in New Jersey toured the ice vestl. You can
- 5:39Speaker 1: do that, Mikey Cheryl had she called and arranged not
- 5:43Speaker 1: on Memorial Day weekend, but during the week. Come in,
- 5:47Speaker 1: they'll give you a tour. She didn't do that deliberately. Instead,
- 5:51Speaker 1: she just showed up screaming outside the doorway and of
- 5:54Speaker 1: course had a mob with her, and it caused controversy
- 5:57Speaker 1: and couldn't let her in that way too chaotic. And
- 6:02Speaker 1: then she runs around all over to every TV camera
- 6:04Speaker 1: yelling and screaming they wouldn't let her in. They wouldn't
- 6:06Speaker 1: let her in. Well, you know it doesn't work that way.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It's like your NBC News. You wanted to do a
- 6:11Speaker 1: story on Rikers Island, you'd call up Rikers Island officials,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you tell them what you want to do. They'd arrange
- 6:19Speaker 1: for you to visit. They'd have people escort you through
- 6:22Speaker 1: Rikers And that's how it's done. That's how you see
- 6:24Speaker 1: those prison documentaries. You arrange it with the prison to
- 6:27Speaker 1: show up and they'll escort you through there. If you
- 6:32Speaker 1: just showed up outside Rikers Island yelling and screaming with cameras,
- 6:35Speaker 1: of course they don't know what the hell it is
- 6:36Speaker 1: and they're going to chase you away. So Mikey Cheryl
- 6:39Speaker 1: did this fake, phony publicity stunt. She could have easily
- 6:43Speaker 1: arranged to go in, but deliberately didn't. Instead, she shows
- 6:46Speaker 1: up yelling and screaming with signs and protesters, and then
- 6:49Speaker 1: for the publicity stunt, screams about how they wouldn't let
- 6:52Speaker 1: her in.
- 6:52Speaker 3: We've been working with ice to get into the facility.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I was just denied that this morning.
- 6:58Speaker 5: I was hoping that trying. Well, we certainly will.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Uh, But it's obviously just a cheap publicity stunt. You know,
- 7:08Speaker 1: if you showed up here at iHeart downstairs, they got
- 7:11Speaker 1: all kinds of security and if you demand to come in,
- 7:14Speaker 1: you can't come in. But if you called us or
- 7:16Speaker 1: we're supposed to want you to come visit, we leave
- 7:20Speaker 1: your name downstairs, a guest pass you come in. That
- 7:22Speaker 1: that's how it's done. Now here's Robert Menendez Junior. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 1: by the way, he did arrange properly and went in
- 7:29Speaker 1: and toward the facility. But it's a couple of days
- 7:33Speaker 1: later and now they got this great publicity stunt going
- 7:35Speaker 1: were you're going to be on cameraon be all over
- 7:37Speaker 1: the news and get a lot of publicity. So he
- 7:39Speaker 1: pretends he couldn't get access. He's pretending now lying actually
- 7:43Speaker 1: him pretending's a kind word. He's lying that he never
- 7:46Speaker 1: got in, that he never saw the facility.
- 7:48Speaker 6: The reason they want to make this as hard as possible.
- 7:49Speaker 6: They won't let the governor in is because they don't
- 7:52Speaker 6: want us to tell the stories of what's happening inside.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Because when we tell the stories, everyone in New Jersey
- 7:57Speaker 6: and people across the country realize this is not who
- 8:00Speaker 6: we are as a country, but a reflection of who
- 8:02Speaker 6: we are in this moment under the Trump administration.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Now, if you weren't sure just about how phony this
- 8:07Speaker 1: guy is, he was just inside the day before he
- 8:09Speaker 1: had a tour. We need to tell the story. You
- 8:12Speaker 1: were there, Tell the story, tell us what you saw. Hey,
- 8:16Speaker 1: let's get to Stephen Colbert. How many of you are
- 8:20Speaker 1: proud to say that in his twenty one years on
- 8:23Speaker 1: television you never once watched Colbert. I mean a lot
- 8:26Speaker 1: of people, probably ninety nine percent of the country more
- 8:30Speaker 1: than that, actually never watched Colbert. It was a loser show.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Now you could argue, oh, it's number one among the
- 8:37Speaker 1: late night shows, but only because the late night shows
- 8:39Speaker 1: had slipped so far down that they had no audience.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He had the tiniest late night audience in the history
- 8:47Speaker 1: of CBS television. But it was enough to beat the
- 8:52Speaker 1: other Jimmy Kimmel is even worse. Fallon has no ratings,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and the other thing was losing forty million a year. Now,
- 9:02Speaker 1: the suspicious part is how did it stay on the
- 9:04Speaker 1: last couple of years losing forty million a year. Now,
- 9:07Speaker 1: there's a you're going to see all over the internet. Today,
- 9:09Speaker 1: somebody has put out a document that's totally fake. They
- 9:12Speaker 1: just made it up. It's a fake financial statement of
- 9:15Speaker 1: the Colbert Report showing that it made one hundred million
- 9:18Speaker 1: a year. Was absolutely no truth to it. It comes
- 9:22Speaker 1: from a guy on substack who just made it up.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Put it up on substack, and every left wing kookside
- 9:28Speaker 1: is putting this financial statement. It didn't even look like
- 9:30Speaker 1: a financial statement. It's what an amateur thinks it would
- 9:33Speaker 1: look like. But it's totally fake. The show lost forty
- 9:37Speaker 1: million a year. The CBS can tell you that. And
- 9:43Speaker 1: what ratings did the big sign off get? How many
- 9:46Speaker 1: people tuned in? Now, that sign off got a hell
- 9:49Speaker 1: of a lot of publicity and actually, by all measures,
- 9:54Speaker 1: by any measure, the sign off ratings were disaster. It
- 9:58Speaker 1: got six point seven ten million people, six point seven million.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It might sound good, well, let's remember David Letterman's sign
- 10:08Speaker 1: off got fourteen million, Conan O'Brien sign off and that
- 10:12Speaker 1: was no big deal. But Conan O'Brien's sign off got
- 10:15Speaker 1: ten and a half million. Jay Leno sign off got
- 10:19Speaker 1: fifteen million. Johnny Carson, now it's years ago, got fifty
- 10:25Speaker 1: five million. Fifty five million, so compare that to six
- 10:29Speaker 1: point seven million, it's really not good. Yeah, so it's
- 10:34Speaker 1: like ten percent of what Johnny Carson got twelve percent actually,
- 10:39Speaker 1: so by any measure, a total total disaster. Now, I
- 10:44Speaker 1: don't know. You gotta remember the other thing. It was
- 10:46Speaker 1: losing money. Everybody inside the business knew was losing about
- 10:49Speaker 1: forty million a year. And that's why nobody else has
- 10:52Speaker 1: offered him a job. It was announced ten months ago
- 10:56Speaker 1: he's being canceled. Well, ABC didn't offer him anything. He
- 11:00Speaker 1: just didn't offer him anything. HBO, Netflix, nobody, nobody, syndicators,
- 11:05Speaker 1: nobody offered him anything. Even Conan O'Brien, who was considered
- 11:11Speaker 1: at his at the time a disaster on The Tonight Show.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Soon as he went off, he was offered immediately show
- 11:16Speaker 1: on TBS every night. Colbert has been offered nothing because
- 11:21Speaker 1: they know the actual numbers, and what company in their
- 11:24Speaker 1: right mind would say, hey, we could lose forty million,
- 11:26Speaker 1: let's get him. So nothing on the horizon. He wrote
- 11:31Speaker 1: a screenplay a sequel to The Hobbit, which the studio loves,
- 11:35Speaker 1: some movie studios, so they've hired him to write that.
- 11:38Speaker 1: That's his next project. Now, The Weirdest thing he did.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't know what this was all about. He's off
- 11:46Speaker 1: the air Thursday night, final show. The next night, Friday night,
- 11:49Speaker 1: he shows up in Monroe, Michigan. It's a small town
- 11:53Speaker 1: in Michigan to go on a local, tiny, local public
- 11:58Speaker 1: access cable show or something. It's called only in Monroe,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and he took over as the host. Monroe has a
- 12:06Speaker 1: population of twenty thousand people, so let's say a couple
- 12:11Speaker 1: one hundred people, maybe a thousand peoplement the most were
- 12:14Speaker 1: watching this thing and he hosted the show for it
- 12:17Speaker 1: was just a weird, weird thing to do, but that's him.
- 12:19Speaker 1: He's a weird, peculiar guy. He opened with a monologue
- 12:22Speaker 1: full of jokes and then talk to a few people.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Asked if the beer Milwaukee's Best was a sponsor. The
- 12:32Speaker 1: actor Steve Bichemy made a cameo. Now apparently it's gone
- 12:36Speaker 1: up online, it's been post it's on YouTube. It's ever
- 12:40Speaker 1: so a lot of people are watching that. Somebody originally
- 12:45Speaker 1: was going after the copyright and pulling it down, but
- 12:47Speaker 1: they decided, who cares, let them let people watch it.
- 12:50Speaker 1: So it was very odd Byron Allen takes over the
- 12:53Speaker 1: time period of Stephen Colbier. It's Comics Unleashed or whatever
- 12:57Speaker 1: it's called. It's not bad. It was pretty good. It's
- 13:01Speaker 1: a change, a complete change from Colbert in that it's
- 13:03Speaker 1: a comedy show where they actually go for laughs. Colbert
- 13:07Speaker 1: never went for any laps he did. It's what they
- 13:09Speaker 1: call clapter, where you say something so ugly about Trump
- 13:13Speaker 1: the audience just starts clapping instead of laughing. They clap
- 13:17Speaker 1: at every joke. They call that clapter. It's an easy
- 13:19Speaker 1: thing to do. It's much tougher to get laughs than clapter.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Clapter's easy. Just say something people are all going to
- 13:24Speaker 1: agree with and they start clapping. So as far as
- 13:28Speaker 1: Colbert on real television, I don't think you'll ever see
- 13:31Speaker 1: him again. I think that's it. Strange, strange sort of guy.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And he was the opposite of every late night host.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Every late night successful host was like an all American
- 13:43Speaker 1: Midwest you know, Johnny Carson, Jack Parr, Steve Allen. They
- 13:47Speaker 1: came from the Heartland. They were like regular guys. Letterman
- 13:52Speaker 1: was that way. Jay Leno, you know, the most regular
- 13:56Speaker 1: guy in the world under a car working on the engine.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He's a regular guy. Colbert was totally different. I mean
- 14:02Speaker 1: he was from some small but he wasn't. He was
- 14:06Speaker 1: a very elitist Northeast leadst son Time sort of a guy.
- 14:12Speaker 7: You know.
- 14:12Speaker 1: He was a kind of a Broadway singing, dancing poofy
- 14:17Speaker 1: kind of a Sonheime kind of a and he loved
- 14:21Speaker 1: sond Time and he would talk about again, that's not
- 14:24Speaker 1: the formula for late night, late night. You got to
- 14:27Speaker 1: be a normal, normal American there we can relate to.
- 14:30Speaker 1: So he's not the type most people would relate to
- 14:33Speaker 1: to begin with, and then he goes super partisan so
- 14:37Speaker 1: that half the country can't watch anyway. It's the dumbest
- 14:40Speaker 1: business model ever in the history of late night TV.
- 14:44Speaker 1: But as Clemenza would say, you won't see him again anyway.
- 14:49Speaker 1: We'll take tison calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 14:52Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three
- 14:56Speaker 1: to two one zero seven ten. Like, Hey, it's Tuesday,
- 15:01Speaker 1: remember that, not Monday. It's Tuesday. We're all back. Everybody's
- 15:04Speaker 1: back today. Let's let's go to the phones. Let's take
- 15:06Speaker 1: some calls. Let's go to John in Florida. John, how
- 15:09Speaker 1: you doing.
- 15:10Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, doctor Florida.
- 15:13Speaker 8: Mark.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I was de sight on Barnie.
- 15:14Speaker 7: They're given Trump a hard time about the ballroom. Republicans
- 15:18Speaker 7: the least they can do for this man who's let
- 15:20Speaker 7: him have his ballroom. They waste more money than any
- 15:24Speaker 7: more people that have caught it up liverpills.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's just whatever Trump wants. They hate Trump's
- 15:30Speaker 1: for it. There against it, the ballroom. The terrible shooting
- 15:34Speaker 1: incident at the White House this past few days, a
- 15:37Speaker 1: gunman opened fire, a lunatic Secret Service had to shoot
- 15:40Speaker 1: him and kill him, and then President calling for the ballroom.
- 15:43Speaker 1: This well, and a lot of people say, what what
- 15:46Speaker 1: does that have to do with the ballroom? How does
- 15:48Speaker 1: he connect it? Well, a couple of reasons. One, when
- 15:52Speaker 1: they do the big events at the White House, they
- 15:54Speaker 1: do him outside in a tent. You don't want to
- 15:56Speaker 1: be out there outside when they're shooting. That's the other
- 15:59Speaker 1: reason for the ballroom. It's totally bulletproof. And the other
- 16:01Speaker 1: reason is it's not just a ballroom. They're going six
- 16:05Speaker 1: stories underground, six floors down. The reason for that is
- 16:08Speaker 1: they're building the most incredible state of the arts security bunker.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Should there ever be a real threat to the President,
- 16:15Speaker 1: he goes in that security bunker. The current security bunker
- 16:18Speaker 1: under the White House is very outdated, not up to speed,
- 16:22Speaker 1: not fully adequate. So they would build a really serious
- 16:24Speaker 1: underground security facility. That's why he keeps connecting this stuff
- 16:28Speaker 1: to the ballroom. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 16:31Speaker 1: how you doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 16:34Speaker 8: I'm doing very well.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Thank you. Mark.
- 16:36Speaker 9: We know President Trump just completed his trip to China.
- 16:39Speaker 9: What I'm asking is will Air Force one be retired
- 16:42Speaker 9: and replaced with a new aircraft before the end of
- 16:46Speaker 9: the President's turn.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I'm not sure there is a new aircraft, a new
- 16:51Speaker 1: air Force one coming. I don't know if it'll be
- 16:52Speaker 1: ready by the time the President gets done. But good question, Dave.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You know it takes years to build these things. That's why.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Remember the Saudis or Dubai whoever was going to lend
- 17:03Speaker 1: him that special jet. That's why. That's why he wanted it,
- 17:05Speaker 1: because the new Air Force one may not be believe
- 17:10Speaker 1: or not. It can take three, four or five years
- 17:12Speaker 1: to build those things. Let's go to Kate in Queen's Kate.
- 17:15Speaker 1: How you doing, Hi, Mark?
- 17:17Speaker 10: I love your show. Thanks that guy for real who
- 17:22Speaker 10: puts out the fake financial saying Colbert took in a hundred.
- 17:26Speaker 8: Million, I cracked up.
- 17:28Speaker 11: Yeah, they would never get rid of them.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Is the guy in knit with No it's just the
- 17:33Speaker 1: left wing like loves fake documents. They put out fake
- 17:36Speaker 1: stuff all the time. It's a guy on substack who
- 17:37Speaker 1: made up this fake financial statement showing Colbert made up
- 17:41Speaker 1: run with it. Yeah, yeah, it's good. You're gonna see
- 17:44Speaker 1: it all over the place. Every left wing kook site,
- 17:47Speaker 1: media site, all the left wing kook sites, Daily Beast,
- 17:51Speaker 1: all the real left wing wacko sites, they'll they'll start
- 17:55Speaker 1: publishing it. It did not mean this. First of all,
- 17:57Speaker 1: there's no show in television that makes a hunt millionayere,
- 18:00Speaker 1: no primetime show makes a hundred million year anymore. I mean,
- 18:03Speaker 1: that's the thirty year old ideas. But it's a totally
- 18:06Speaker 1: fake financial statement, doesn't even look like a real one.
- 18:10Speaker 1: But I already see the left wingers posting it all
- 18:12Speaker 1: over Facebook today. If he was making a hundred million
- 18:15Speaker 1: a year, first of all, they wouldn't have canceled it's.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Second of all, if he was making a hundred million year,
- 18:20Speaker 1: every network in the world, every streaming service would be
- 18:23Speaker 1: calling him to get him on. Let's go to Jan
- 18:27Speaker 1: in New Jersey, Jan, how you doing?
- 18:29Speaker 10: Oh, Mark, not so good. I'm very discouraged about the Mets,
- 18:33Speaker 10: and I was hoping that you might have some advice
- 18:35Speaker 10: for Mendoza to help us Mets sad chan.
- 18:38Speaker 1: See you said, oh not good. I was so worried
- 18:40Speaker 1: you were sick something awful, and now it.
- 18:42Speaker 11: Turns out, well, it's just as awful.
- 18:44Speaker 10: How bad the Mets are doing.
- 18:46Speaker 1: How long You've been a Mets fan since I was.
- 18:49Speaker 10: A little girl.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You should be used to it. You get nervous when
- 18:53Speaker 1: they win. They always lose every season. It's Mets tradition.
- 18:57Speaker 10: Well, don't you have any advice from I don't have
- 19:01Speaker 10: advice for you.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Become a Yankee fan. If you've been a Yankee fan
- 19:04Speaker 1: all these years, you have twenty seven World championships, be
- 19:09Speaker 1: a Yank.
- 19:10Speaker 10: Know what what me and my brother were remembering? We
- 19:12Speaker 10: were singing the old Mets theme song, and that kind
- 19:15Speaker 10: of cheered us up. Do you remember it? The old
- 19:17Speaker 10: Mets song?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:18Speaker 8: Ingle?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Where are you from?
- 19:19Speaker 10: Originally Staten Island?
- 19:21Speaker 1: No, well, aren't Staten Island people usually Yankee fans?
- 19:25Speaker 11: No?
- 19:26Speaker 1: No, no, no, I mean Queen's Long Island. They tend
- 19:29Speaker 1: to be Mets fans.
- 19:31Speaker 10: Yeah, we're discouraged. We need to be encouraged.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Well, the Yankees always win, the Mets always lose. What
- 19:38Speaker 1: is it you love about the Mets?
- 19:40Speaker 10: O meet the Mets, Greet the Mets.
- 19:44Speaker 8: Step right up.
- 19:45Speaker 10: And meet the Mets. That old jingle that's encouraging.
- 19:49Speaker 1: How much would you charge not to sing? Anyway? Thanks
- 19:53Speaker 1: for claw. Let's go to uh Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe,
- 19:58Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 20:00Speaker 4: I told you from the beginning, she's a clown. Now
- 20:03Speaker 4: we were talking to Mickey Shirley and there's an estimated
- 20:10Speaker 4: one million illegals in New Jersey, And why don't you
- 20:14Speaker 4: concentrate on getting our taxes down and getting our utilities
- 20:18Speaker 4: down instead of worrying about Let Ice do your job.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Yeah, stop fighting law enforcement. It's law enforcement illegals. They're
- 20:26Speaker 1: here illegally, they're breaking the law. And that's one reason
- 20:30Speaker 1: your taxes are so high. You got millions of illegals
- 20:32Speaker 1: you're financing. That's why everything's high. Your tax your property,
- 20:35Speaker 1: tax expenses, everything. That's the job number one of the
- 20:40Speaker 1: job number one of a governor. Get taxes down, make
- 20:44Speaker 1: the place livable again, get all these costs down. You know,
- 20:47Speaker 1: it's like we'll talk about this in the next hour.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Are these supermarkets, these Mamdani supermarkets. You know the reason
- 20:54Speaker 1: they can sell it cheaper. They have no property tax,
- 20:56Speaker 1: they have no regulation they have That's why they can
- 20:58Speaker 1: lower the price. Supermarkets Just make suspend their property tax,
- 21:04Speaker 1: take away their property tax and all their costs, and
- 21:07Speaker 1: they'll sell it cheaper for you. Then you won't have
- 21:10Speaker 1: to spend twenty billion building all these supermarkets. Hey, when
- 21:13Speaker 1: we come back, the greatest columnist in the world, Michael Goodwin,
- 21:16Speaker 1: will be with us next. Well, Michael Goodwin the best
- 21:20Speaker 1: columnists in America. You can read them every Sunday and
- 21:23Speaker 1: every Wednesday in the New York Post and all of
- 21:26Speaker 1: his columns are up on the New York Post website.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You can go there and read them. And he's with
- 21:30Speaker 1: us now. Michael Goodwin. How you doing okay?
- 21:33Speaker 2: Mark?
- 21:33Speaker 7: Thank you?
- 21:34Speaker 1: Hey? You wrote about the Democrats did a big autopsy
- 21:39Speaker 1: to figure out what went wrong in the election of
- 21:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. It is the phoniest, fakest, most ridiculous
- 21:48Speaker 1: non autopsy you've ever seen. What are they thinking?
- 21:52Speaker 12: Well, the one truth is that it was written by
- 21:56Speaker 12: a part time, temporary work. I mean, this is this
- 22:02Speaker 12: is the way I guess for the party to distance itself.
- 22:06Speaker 2: From the product.
- 22:08Speaker 12: But you're overall, you're correct, it's a disaster and it
- 22:13Speaker 12: doesn't really point a way to any real solutions.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I focused on the one issue.
- 22:21Speaker 12: That I think it did get right, and that was
- 22:25Speaker 12: that the Tamaa Harris has sunk herself with that video
- 22:32Speaker 12: showing her supporting surgery for transgender criminals, No questions asked,
- 22:40Speaker 12: everybody's entitlement, and Donald Trump turned it into an ad
- 22:46Speaker 12: and it's a great ad in which recounts her words
- 22:50Speaker 12: and then the voiceover says she.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Is for they them, Donald Trump is for you.
- 23:00Speaker 12: And I think it was a brilliant summation, and to
- 23:04Speaker 12: its credit, the report did go into some detail talking
- 23:08Speaker 12: about how posters how Trump spent so much money running
- 23:12Speaker 12: his ad over and over in the Swing States, and
- 23:15Speaker 12: posters agreed it was very effective.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, except it looks like they haven't learned their lesson,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you know, with these crazy extremist positions. They're taking even
- 23:25Speaker 1: more of them. They're talking about AOC for the nominee.
- 23:28Speaker 1: It sounds like they're going even further the left what
- 23:31Speaker 1: are they thinking.
- 23:33Speaker 12: Yeah, I agree, I mean that you're right to extent it.
- 23:37Speaker 12: They seem not to have learned anything about the American voters, and.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I think that it does point up the fact mark
- 23:45Speaker 2: as you say, they're moving further and further left.
- 23:50Speaker 12: I mean we see that in New York right with
- 23:53Speaker 12: Hamamdani is kind of dragging HOCAL and the legislature into
- 23:59Speaker 12: into socialism camp. And of course Montdanni on the anti Semitism,
- 24:06Speaker 12: I mean that is a that's a feature of.
- 24:09Speaker 2: The new left.
- 24:10Speaker 12: So yeah, we're seeing it all the country in the
- 24:13Speaker 12: Blue States, the Blue cities, and we'll see how the
- 24:18Speaker 12: Democrats do in the midterm. But also quickly followed by
- 24:23Speaker 12: the lineup for the twenty twenty eight presidential election. Right now,
- 24:28Speaker 12: you know, Deavin Newsom, Mahoc, I mean, who's going to
- 24:32Speaker 12: be their candidate.
- 24:35Speaker 2: It's not a very talent rich Field.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Yeah. And why are they talking about redoing our government,
- 24:41Speaker 1: redoing democracy again? Really, electoral college, stacking the Supreme Court,
- 24:47Speaker 1: making Puerto Rico and DC state. Why are they talking
- 24:51Speaker 1: so radically?
- 24:53Speaker 12: Well, they want what they want, and apparently the county
- 25:00Speaker 12: insitutions stands in their way, and the amendments of free Speaks.
- 25:06Speaker 12: All these things blocked the total mindset takeover of.
- 25:12Speaker 2: The far left.
- 25:13Speaker 12: This is a look you and I talk about this.
- 25:17Speaker 12: This is a perilous time for the country. When you
- 25:21Speaker 12: think about just since World War Two, what the world
- 25:27Speaker 12: would look like if America were not the country it
- 25:31Speaker 12: has been strongest military, you know, a beacon.
- 25:37Speaker 2: For freedom around the world. If you take all of
- 25:40Speaker 2: that away, what do you have left.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you think the fact that Mamdannie won so easily
- 25:50Speaker 1: in New York is encouraging them, and they don't realize
- 25:53Speaker 1: that's just crazy New York that the rest of the
- 25:55Speaker 1: country is not going to vote for radicals like that.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I think.
- 26:01Speaker 12: They're playing sort of a long game mark wherever they
- 26:05Speaker 12: can get a win, they'll take it and go to
- 26:08Speaker 12: the bank on it and.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Then move up the ladder.
- 26:11Speaker 12: I mean the way Mom Donnie has convinced the HCAL
- 26:17Speaker 12: that she should.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Go along with him.
- 26:19Speaker 12: I mean he's calling the shots in Albany, and she's
- 26:24Speaker 12: doing it, of course, because she believes that's how she'll
- 26:27Speaker 12: win her election in the fall. So that's how it happens.
- 26:32Speaker 12: God of one election at a time. The takeover is proceeding.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, when the Deblasio got elected, the radical Deblasio,
- 26:45Speaker 1: he started catering to the billionaires, to the business crowd.
- 26:48Speaker 1: They all got his cell number. He was taking good
- 26:50Speaker 1: care of them. So he pretended to be radical. But
- 26:53Speaker 1: meantime those guys loved them and they made sure he
- 26:55Speaker 1: got reelected. We don't see Mom Donnie following that same
- 26:58Speaker 1: path to.
- 27:00Speaker 3: No.
- 27:01Speaker 12: I think you're I think you're right that, uh de
- 27:04Speaker 12: Blasio is kind of a fake faith socialist, right.
- 27:08Speaker 2: He liked to sleep in.
- 27:11Speaker 12: You know, he didn't really want to work, all that
- 27:13Speaker 12: kind of stuff. Give him a little money, you'll get
- 27:16Speaker 12: what you want. But I think Mom Donnie to that
- 27:22Speaker 12: in that regard is a true believer in the cause.
- 27:27Speaker 12: And we see all the different tentacles of that cause.
- 27:32Speaker 12: They're all destructive to the world as we know it.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Hey, the Israel Day Parade is coming up. Mom Donnie
- 27:39Speaker 1: looks like he's not gonna go. That's probably a smart decision.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I don't think he should, and I don't think anybody
- 27:44Speaker 1: wants him there, do they.
- 27:46Speaker 2: No.
- 27:46Speaker 12: I've just reading a speech this morning from a Rabbi
- 27:51Speaker 12: Mark Schneier on the East Side, and he said thank you,
- 27:55Speaker 12: thank you for not come. We don't want you. And uh,
- 27:59Speaker 12: you know you're you're out for Judaism, You're not. You know,
- 28:04Speaker 12: a little scenario is so ridiculous. So I think I
- 28:08Speaker 12: think the broke, the break with large parts of the
- 28:12Speaker 12: Jewish community is pretty complete.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Of course, there.
- 28:15Speaker 12: There are those Jews who do support him, and probably
- 28:20Speaker 12: some who are sitting in the middle and in between
- 28:23Speaker 12: the two groups. But yeah, I think it's this issue
- 28:27Speaker 12: has not run its course, that's for sure.
- 28:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You know what's funny, he was at the Knicks game.
- 28:32Speaker 1: As soon as the Knicks won last night, he tweeted out,
- 28:34Speaker 1: that's not very socialist, is it too? That's that's not
- 28:39Speaker 1: the real hymn, is it?
- 28:41Speaker 12: No? I look, I think to a certain extent, you know,
- 28:46Speaker 12: he's kind of a creature of his own swamp in
- 28:50Speaker 12: the sense that.
- 28:52Speaker 2: He follows, you know, he follows.
- 28:54Speaker 12: Is whatever whichever way the wind is blowing on certain
- 28:59Speaker 12: certain happier issues. Yeah, like all politicians, he wants to
- 29:03Speaker 12: be in the parade. And you know, I once earned
- 29:07Speaker 12: someone to describe a politician's parade. Watch a politician watches
- 29:13Speaker 12: which way the parade is going. In the runs, they
- 29:16Speaker 12: get in front. Yeah, and I think gotcha what he's
- 29:19Speaker 12: doing with poppilar issues like the next I mean, he
- 29:23Speaker 12: can't be against the Knicks right now in New York.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Well, Michael Goodwan, great stuff. Your next
- 29:29Speaker 1: column is tomorrow. Michael Goodwin is every Sunday and every
- 29:33Speaker 1: Wednesday in the New York Post, and all his columns
- 29:36Speaker 1: are up on the New York Post website. Great talking
- 29:38Speaker 1: to you, and we'll do it again soon. Thanks for
- 29:40Speaker 1: being with us, Mike Pleasure, Mark, thank you. Take care. Hey,
- 29:45Speaker 1: a beautiful Sonny Day. It's gonna be like this all week.
- 29:48Speaker 1: It's gonna be Sonny eighties, you know, around eighty. It
- 29:51Speaker 1: can be like that this week through the weekend. Well,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I guess it makes up for that Memorial Day weekend. Hey. Now,
- 30:00Speaker 1: now the fact that it was raining all weekend that
- 30:02Speaker 1: usually helps the box office. The fact that it's a
- 30:06Speaker 1: rainy weekend makes everybody go to the movies that you
- 30:10Speaker 1: know was on the fence about it. So but still
- 30:13Speaker 1: the Mandalorian and Grogu not good. Not good for a
- 30:20Speaker 1: Star Wars sequel record low opening just eighty one million.
- 30:27Speaker 1: That's not good. Well, actually, if you had in memorially,
- 30:30Speaker 1: but ninety seven million. But that's not good for a
- 30:34Speaker 1: Star Wars franchise movie. And considering it rained all weekend
- 30:39Speaker 1: all over the Northeast, that should have helped the box office.
- 30:41Speaker 1: It didn't, so it had a rough, rough, rough weekend.
- 30:47Speaker 1: You know, it's not George Lucas anymore. He's out of it,
- 30:50Speaker 1: so it's not the same thing anymore. Lucas, you know,
- 30:54Speaker 1: the original Star Wars. He didn't want to do it,
- 30:56Speaker 1: but they got him to do it, and he made
- 31:00Speaker 1: a deal. He agreed to do it for very low money,
- 31:02Speaker 1: which they couldn't believe. He just wanted the rights to
- 31:06Speaker 1: the merchandising and back a million years ago, the movie
- 31:09Speaker 1: studio said, what does he want that for? So they
- 31:12Speaker 1: gave the merchandising rights. Who cares about that? And he
- 31:14Speaker 1: did it for low money, well off the merchandising. He
- 31:18Speaker 1: literally became a billionaire, a billionaire and still makes a
- 31:22Speaker 1: fortune to this day off all the merchandising. So it
- 31:24Speaker 1: was a brilliant move. Michael Jackson movie is the box
- 31:28Speaker 1: office king right now. It's up to about three hundred
- 31:30Speaker 1: and fifty million already, and Michael Jackson music is selling
- 31:34Speaker 1: like crazy and downloading like crazy all over the place
- 31:38Speaker 1: as a result of the movie Big Comeback. Hey, we
- 31:41Speaker 1: got a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'm back ten to noon every day and of course
- 31:47Speaker 1: the podcast anytime back after the news seven to ten.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Wo Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Seen wr.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Hey, a beautiful day to day. It's gonna be like
- 32:02Speaker 1: this all week. Remember it's Tuesday, it's not Monday. It's Tuesday.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Everybody's back to work. President Trump is as we speak,
- 32:10Speaker 1: at Walter Reid Hospital getting his annual physical and they'll
- 32:16Speaker 1: release the results, I guess later today, probably today, And
- 32:21Speaker 1: you know when it's Trump physical, they always release the results.
- 32:23Speaker 1: The healthiest president ever in history, unbelievably healthy, the greatest,
- 32:27Speaker 1: the body of a twenty. But they do put out
- 32:33Speaker 1: the actual lab reports, you know, blood pressure, cholesterol, They
- 32:37Speaker 1: put out the actual numbers, so you can look at that.
- 32:40Speaker 1: And he is in great shape, always in pretty good shape,
- 32:43Speaker 1: strong like a bull. His father was the same way.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Good genes, and it's not gonna be that Well, how
- 32:52Speaker 1: long is it physical? Like an hour? Two hours? When
- 32:55Speaker 1: you go to Walter Reed, they do a lot of
- 32:56Speaker 1: real testing. Well, you know, all that equipment. It's a
- 32:58Speaker 1: really great hospital, and they have a special presidential wing.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He doesn't go into the regular Walter. We read this
- 33:05Speaker 1: special presidential wing, and the rooms and everything are beautiful.
- 33:10Speaker 1: They look like the finest suite in the Ritz Carlton.
- 33:12Speaker 1: They look amazing. But I'm looking at his schedule for today.
- 33:17Speaker 1: He has a policy meeting at the White House at
- 33:19Speaker 1: one thirty, so I guess he'll be out of there
- 33:21Speaker 1: pretty soon. We'll be back in action. Schedule today one thirty,
- 33:26Speaker 1: a policy meeting, two thirty, another policy meeting five point thirty.
- 33:30Speaker 1: There's a policy meeting seven o'clock. There's a Rose Garden
- 33:34Speaker 1: club dinner. They do those now in the warm weather.
- 33:38Speaker 1: They have these beautiful dinners out in the rose Garden.
- 33:41Speaker 1: You know, it was the rose garden had some roses.
- 33:43Speaker 1: It was a big grass field with a couple of
- 33:45Speaker 1: roses around it. And then he decided to transform it
- 33:49Speaker 1: into the most beautiful, majestic place, just like at mar
- 33:52Speaker 1: A Lago. He put in this beautiful They call it
- 33:55Speaker 1: a deck, a patio. They say he paved it over.
- 33:57Speaker 1: It's not pavement. It's like the finest tile. It's beautifully done.
- 34:03Speaker 1: If you look at the detail in it, even the drains.
- 34:05Speaker 1: He put drains all around it so that you never
- 34:09Speaker 1: have a problem with the water there. It always drains immediately.
- 34:11Speaker 1: But if you look at the drains, the vents in
- 34:14Speaker 1: the drain or shaped like the American flag, it's really
- 34:17Speaker 1: well done. And the old Roast Garden, it was just
- 34:20Speaker 1: a grass field, kind of muddy, kind of wet, and
- 34:22Speaker 1: they throw some folding chairs on it. This new Rose Garden,
- 34:26Speaker 1: it's the most beautiful tile, it's majestic, and they put
- 34:29Speaker 1: the most beautiful outdoor furniture you've ever seen, the most
- 34:32Speaker 1: beautiful chairs and tables and umbrellas, and it's magnificent. Now,
- 34:36Speaker 1: of course the left wing yelling and screaming that he
- 34:38Speaker 1: ruined the Rose Garden put it back to a muddy
- 34:41Speaker 1: grass field. It looked horrible before. It looks majestic. Now
- 34:46Speaker 1: it looks very presidential. And they do these dinners many
- 34:49Speaker 1: many nights when the weather's nice. But he invites different piece.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a members of Congress, sometimes it's different groups.
- 34:56Speaker 1: But it's absolutely beautiful and it's outdoors. Remember Washington, DC
- 35:01Speaker 1: doesn't have skyscrapers, so you can see the sky. You
- 35:03Speaker 1: can see the stars for miles. Absolutely beautiful out there.
- 35:07Speaker 1: So a Rose Garden Club dinner later tonight, and I
- 35:13Speaker 1: think you'll probably not hear anything about Iran the rest
- 35:16Speaker 1: of the day. You'll hear some more tomorrow. But they're
- 35:18Speaker 1: working on it. They're picking up the nuclear material and
- 35:22Speaker 1: getting it out of there. Hey, before he left for
- 35:25Speaker 1: Memorial Day weekend, well actually he didn't leave. He returned
- 35:28Speaker 1: to the White House. But Friday morning they swore in
- 35:31Speaker 1: Kevin Walsh. He is the new FED chairman. He's everybody's choice.
- 35:37Speaker 1: It's who everybody wanted. It came down to Scott Bessett
- 35:40Speaker 1: would be the best, but they couldn't lose him as
- 35:42Speaker 1: Treasury Secretary. Next would be Kevin Hassett, but again he's
- 35:47Speaker 1: at the White House Economic Advisor. They can't lose him
- 35:50Speaker 1: from that job. But in that group was Kevin Warsh.
- 35:52Speaker 1: That was the other one. Everybody wanted. Great choice for
- 35:55Speaker 1: FED chairman. He was sworn in on Friday.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Thankfully, Unlike some of his predecessors, Kevin understands that when
- 36:01Speaker 3: the economy is booming it.
- 36:03Speaker 8: Is, that's a good thing.
- 36:06Speaker 3: We'd have to go crazy just let it boom.
- 36:08Speaker 5: We wanted to boom.
- 36:09Speaker 1: He'll do a good job. I know, Kevin worshe is
- 36:11Speaker 1: a great, great guy.
- 36:13Speaker 13: When we pursue those aims. By the way, when we
- 36:16Speaker 13: pursue those aims with wisdom and clarity, independence and resolve,
- 36:22Speaker 13: inflation can be lower, growth stronger, real take home pay higher,
- 36:29Speaker 13: and America can be more prosperous.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Again, a very fine guy. Not the most exciting guy,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but a very fine guy. You know. The president and
- 36:38Speaker 1: the first term, they took a cell phone away. In
- 36:41Speaker 1: the first term, they gave him the official presidential cell phone,
- 36:45Speaker 1: which has got nothing in it. It's a very secure,
- 36:48Speaker 1: safe phone. It has no apps, there's nothing in it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He can't hack into it. It's a But this time
- 36:54Speaker 1: around he kept his own cell phone. He's got his
- 36:56Speaker 1: own real iPhone and gives a cell number to millions
- 37:01Speaker 1: of people and they're always calling him. Joe Scarborough reveals
- 37:05Speaker 1: this morning Joe Scarborough Morning, Joe reveals that he called
- 37:08Speaker 1: him to discuss Iran with him. Then one thing about
- 37:11Speaker 1: President Trump, he's a very nice guy in real life.
- 37:15Speaker 1: He's nice to you know. He sometimes he's attacking people
- 37:18Speaker 1: and says all kinds of vicious but he's a really
- 37:20Speaker 1: nice guy. Even if you're Joe Scarborough, his worst enemy.
- 37:24Speaker 1: If Joe Scarborough calls, he takes the call, he talks
- 37:27Speaker 1: to him for ten minutes, pretends he's listening to the advice.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Scarborough says he gave all kinds of advice on Iran.
- 37:33Speaker 1: He advised him stop listening to Lindsey Graham, stop listening
- 37:36Speaker 1: to this guy. Don't here's what you need to know.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Here's what now. Knowing the President, I'm sure he had
- 37:43Speaker 1: the Yankee game on and was watching that. He'd probably
- 37:47Speaker 1: hit mute and let Scarborough talk. And then when he
- 37:50Speaker 1: ever heard Scarborough pause, he unmute and go yeah, yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: oh it's interesting. What else? And then he'd hit mute
- 37:56Speaker 1: again and keep watching the Yankee game. But I don't
- 37:58Speaker 1: know why Scarborough brags about this on his show, that
- 38:01Speaker 1: he's talking and he's calling Trump and discussing things with him.
- 38:04Speaker 1: That's not good for his or his audience would hate that.
- 38:08Speaker 1: But he gives a cell number all kinds of it.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Mom Donnie calls now and then you know that Hockel
- 38:12Speaker 1: calls them all the time. I don't know why, what's
- 38:16Speaker 1: he going to do for her? He can't stand her.
- 38:18Speaker 1: But it's interesting. He's really good at that, at buttering
- 38:21Speaker 1: these people up. Even if he hates you, he can
- 38:23Speaker 1: butter you up like crazy. You're the best, You're the best.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I'm hearing great things about you. I love you, and
- 38:28Speaker 1: they believe it. They all fall for it. But even
- 38:31Speaker 1: admitted Hockel calls all the time.
- 38:33Speaker 13: She calls me up a lot.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I immediately know it's her because I do have friends
- 38:37Speaker 3: in Buffalo, but they haven't called me too much. Lightly
- 38:40Speaker 3: says Buffalo and said, Hi, mister President's Kathy, Hi, Hi,
- 38:45Speaker 3: could you help me here? Could you help me there?
- 38:47Speaker 3: And we're having a little problem getting this and we're
- 38:50Speaker 3: trying to get that. Could you give me a little hand?
- 38:52Speaker 3: I say, Kathy, you're always killing me. What the hell
- 38:54Speaker 3: would I give you a Well, I just thought i'd try. Okay,
- 38:57Speaker 3: thank you very much.
- 39:00Speaker 1: But he's very good at that. When she's on the phone, Hey,
- 39:02Speaker 1: anything you need, you call me anytime, anything you need Okay, goodbye.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Then he turns everybody you believe this idio, But she
- 39:09Speaker 1: keeps calling. I guess it feels good to keep calling him.
- 39:13Speaker 1: So Hokeel getting nothing done. Bruce Blakeman will be the
- 39:17Speaker 1: next governor. Fate will take care of this. Bruce Blakeman
- 39:22Speaker 1: will do a great, great job. And it's just it's
- 39:28Speaker 1: going to be a tough race. They're going to hit
- 39:30Speaker 1: him with everything. Now you could see Democrats actually get
- 39:34Speaker 1: wiped out in November. It's not looking good for them everywhere.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It's you know, this always turns a corner. There's radical, radical, radical,
- 39:43Speaker 1: way too far to the left kind of all these
- 39:46Speaker 1: crazy positions. At some point it turns a corner. Some
- 39:49Speaker 1: people feel that it's starting to turn that corner. Now
- 39:52Speaker 1: there's these crazy guys billionaires. The left claims they hate billionaires,
- 39:57Speaker 1: but they love billionaires. They love them. The billionaires are
- 40:00Speaker 1: who runs them, George Soros, those type of billionaires. So
- 40:05Speaker 1: they got two big ones. They got Soros and the
- 40:08Speaker 1: other guy is in Singapore. This is Neville Roy Singham.
- 40:12Speaker 1: He's the other Soros. Now he spends hundreds of millions
- 40:17Speaker 1: financing all this crap, all the most radical democratic crap
- 40:20Speaker 1: in this country. And Democrats now have a good thing going.
- 40:24Speaker 1: They got Soros, who's very very old the sun is
- 40:27Speaker 1: trying to take over as the crazy financier of all
- 40:31Speaker 1: the left wing kook stuff. But now that they got
- 40:33Speaker 1: this Singam. They're kind of pitting the two guys against
- 40:36Speaker 1: each other, you know, starting a competition who can spend
- 40:39Speaker 1: the most. So Soros a Singam is given tons and
- 40:42Speaker 1: tons and tons of money funding every left wing Kouk movement.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Hassan Piker, the radical anti Semite, big part of the
- 40:52Speaker 1: left wing, has actually said publicly he was talking about
- 40:54Speaker 1: it on the Area, admits A Singham is the financier
- 40:57Speaker 1: of these political movements, pump tens of millions into this.
- 41:02Speaker 1: So all of a sudden, Soros announces he's giving another
- 41:05Speaker 1: thirty million to uh Now. He claimed it's the group's
- 41:08Speaker 1: fighting anti Semitism and other bigotry, but meantime it all
- 41:14Speaker 1: ends up in the wrong hands and doesn't do anything.
- 41:16Speaker 1: So you got these two guys competing like crazy. Hey,
- 41:21Speaker 1: everybody's worried about AI. You know what these college commencement speeches.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Anytime a speaker talked about AI or the future with AI,
- 41:29Speaker 1: the college kids all booed. It was fascinating. Whenever they
- 41:33Speaker 1: heard AI, they would boo like crazy, and even the
- 41:35Speaker 1: speaker would looked a little shocked. He couldn't believe, couldn't
- 41:39Speaker 1: believe how much they these college kids hate AI. You
- 41:42Speaker 1: would think a group grown up with this would hate it,
- 41:45Speaker 1: but they don't, except for one. Apple co founder Steve
- 41:50Speaker 1: Wozniak actually got applause. I guess he just said it
- 41:54Speaker 1: the right way. Oh no, actually, no, wait a minute,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I got it wrong. He was against AI, That's why
- 41:58Speaker 1: he got applause. He started talking about it. But basically
- 42:02Speaker 1: he said, you don't need it. You got you have
- 42:03Speaker 1: your own AI. It's called actual intelligence. Forget the AI,
- 42:08Speaker 1: use actual intelligence. So they were cheering him like crazy.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Uh so these college kids hate AI. Now you got
- 42:17Speaker 1: Pope Leo, who for some reason issued a dire warning
- 42:21Speaker 1: about the threat of artificial intelligence. It's kind of an
- 42:25Speaker 1: unusual stand for a pope. What does this have to
- 42:28Speaker 1: do with the pope with the But he really went
- 42:31Speaker 1: after AI. It's the worst thing. It's worse than the
- 42:33Speaker 1: bigger threat than the Tower of Babel. I mean this,
- 42:36Speaker 1: I mean this is a very very left wing pope.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I don't know what all that means, but he's really
- 42:42Speaker 1: coming out against AI. But a very very left wing pope.
- 42:48Speaker 1: You know, you issued the first papal apology for the
- 42:51Speaker 1: Vatican's role in legitimizing slavery. Well, first of all, slavery
- 42:56Speaker 1: was terrible, but it existed all over the world back then.
- 42:59Speaker 1: It wasn't the US, it was everywhere. It was just common.
- 43:04Speaker 1: That was the way it was done back then. So
- 43:06Speaker 1: thank god it's gone and it's over. But the pope
- 43:08Speaker 1: apologizing for it absolutely ridiculous. Now, I guess one of
- 43:12Speaker 1: the reasons college kids would hate AI. I guess they
- 43:16Speaker 1: think because you would leave in college supposedly you want
- 43:18Speaker 1: to go to work and get a job and have
- 43:20Speaker 1: a career, and they're worried that AI is going to
- 43:22Speaker 1: replace all of them. And I mean, let's be honest,
- 43:26Speaker 1: there's some truth that a lot of jobs are going
- 43:27Speaker 1: to go because of AI. Jamie Diamond, the greatest CEO
- 43:31Speaker 1: of all JP Morgan, actually said we're hiring from now on,
- 43:36Speaker 1: We're hiring mostly AI brainiacs, not bankers, a lot less bankers,
- 43:40Speaker 1: more AI brainiacs. But Jamie Diamond did say we're not
- 43:45Speaker 1: going to fire people over AI. Well, simply let natural
- 43:49Speaker 1: attrition do the job. He said, about thirty thousand workers
- 43:54Speaker 1: quit or retire every year. They'll just won't replace them,
- 43:57Speaker 1: so they'll do it that way. You know, they have
- 43:59Speaker 1: about three hundred employees JP Morgan Chase three hundred thousand,
- 44:03Speaker 1: so ten percent a year quit or retire. They just
- 44:06Speaker 1: won't replace them, so it'll be a lot of AI.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Now you've got to remember this has happened before. The
- 44:13Speaker 1: Industrial Revolution put an enormous chunk of people out of work,
- 44:17Speaker 1: and eventually they found other jobs. Of the careers, there's
- 44:20Speaker 1: a transition time before they do that. It can be
- 44:22Speaker 1: five years, ten years. And the same thing happened in
- 44:26Speaker 1: the beginning of the century when the Internet and the
- 44:28Speaker 1: digital stuff came in a lot of people were suddenly
- 44:32Speaker 1: out of work as a result. It takes time, but
- 44:35Speaker 1: eventually you adjust. Now, every time something new is invented,
- 44:38Speaker 1: everybody fears it. They fear AI. They feared the internet
- 44:43Speaker 1: back then. Remember when electricity was invented, people were afraid
- 44:46Speaker 1: of it. It was the same thing as AI. Believe
- 44:48Speaker 1: it or not. When electricity was invented, they thought it
- 44:51Speaker 1: was evil, terrible, it was going to kill us all
- 44:54Speaker 1: destroy us. That's why Mary Shelley at the time wrote
- 44:57Speaker 1: the book Frankenstein about the evils how dangerous electricity might be.
- 45:02Speaker 1: It created a monster or something like that. So people
- 45:05Speaker 1: always get afraid and terrified. But come back in ten
- 45:10Speaker 1: years you might see a whole different picture. Hey, which
- 45:14Speaker 1: city is becoming very hot right now? Nashville that's already hot.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Austin already became hot, Believe it or not. Hartford, Connecticut,
- 45:24Speaker 1: you know, it's been a terrible city for years. People
- 45:27Speaker 1: have been fleeing Hartford for seventy five years, filled with crime.
- 45:30Speaker 1: A lot of these you think, Connecticut, all these beautiful places.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Bridgeport's bad, Waterbury's mad. Hartford's been horrible, but it's changing.
- 45:39Speaker 1: People are starting to move into Hartford. A lot of
- 45:42Speaker 1: the homes are now going for above asking price. Prices
- 45:45Speaker 1: are rising, average home price way up. Hartford all of
- 45:51Speaker 1: a sudden taken off. You know, keep an eye on Hartford.
- 45:54Speaker 1: You know, nowhere else. Buffalo, Yeah, Buffalo. I mean it's
- 45:59Speaker 1: the worst weather in the world. You can get eight
- 46:01Speaker 1: feet of snow. New York City is doing very well.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Believe or not.
- 46:05Speaker 1: New York City is rising. Don't believe anything you hear.
- 46:09Speaker 1: New York City real estate is booming. Apartment sales are
- 46:13Speaker 1: high as ever and going They're higher than last year.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Rentals are totally sold up. You can't even get a
- 46:20Speaker 1: rental anymore. People are moving into New York like crazy,
- 46:24Speaker 1: and rentals are important. Those are people coming in for
- 46:26Speaker 1: the first time renting and then usually many of those
- 46:29Speaker 1: renters start to buy a year or two later, so
- 46:32Speaker 1: those are often the future buyers. Commercial real estate in
- 46:36Speaker 1: New York, this is a real indicator. Now listen to this.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Commercial real estate in New York. Fifteen million square feet
- 46:44Speaker 1: were released already this year. That's up fifteen percent from
- 46:48Speaker 1: last year. Commercial real estate up fifteen percent from last year.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Now I know you keep hearing, Oh well JP Morgan.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Oh they're opening in Texas, they're moving people to Tampa. Yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 1: that's true. But you got to remember they always did that,
- 47:02Speaker 1: all these big companies like JP Morgan, they always had
- 47:05Speaker 1: a footprint in Texas, a foot the back office stuff.
- 47:08Speaker 1: They put it down there because it's cheaper. But New
- 47:11Speaker 1: York is booming. Hottest neighborhood right now, Upper West Side, Brooklyn,
- 47:16Speaker 1: parts of Brooklyn, and the hottest the flat Iron District.
- 47:20Speaker 1: It's booming. They used to call it Park Avenue South,
- 47:23Speaker 1: Now it's the flat Iron District. That's where all the
- 47:25Speaker 1: most expensive new apartments, restaurants, everything opening down there. Hey, well,
- 47:29Speaker 1: take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one zero
- 47:33Speaker 1: seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three two one
- 47:37Speaker 1: zero seven ten. Well, let's take some calls. Let's go
- 47:42Speaker 1: to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you.
- 47:44Speaker 14: Doing, Good morning, Mark, welcome back.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 47:49Speaker 15: You have to guess that the president's visit to Walter
- 47:51Speaker 15: Reed for his annual physical is going to be unlike mine,
- 47:54Speaker 15: where he goes and sits in the waiting room for
- 47:57Speaker 15: an hour, because is the other ten people they had
- 47:59Speaker 15: the same ten o'clock appointment, and there are a bunch
- 48:01Speaker 15: of old farts coughing, and none of whom can hear
- 48:04Speaker 15: their name when they're called.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Well, that's Florida. Uh, let's be honest. You don't have
- 48:11Speaker 1: the greatest doctors in Florida.
- 48:12Speaker 14: Do you. You know it's they're all corporate now, they're
- 48:16Speaker 14: all work. They will work for the Cleveland Clinic.
- 48:19Speaker 8: Or some associations.
- 48:20Speaker 14: Very few private practitioners anymore.
- 48:22Speaker 1: They're all yeah, but you got to remember something like
- 48:24Speaker 1: New York, he got the greatest doctors in the world.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Florida they're not so great. But then they say, oh,
- 48:29Speaker 1: but the Cleveland Clinic just opened here. Oh, they don't
- 48:32Speaker 1: realize the Cleveland Clinic opens down there by hiring a
- 48:35Speaker 1: bunch of the same local doctors. They don't bring it.
- 48:37Speaker 14: That's what they do. Yeah, that's exactly what they do.
- 48:41Speaker 14: And it's not the Cleveland Clinic and clinic in Cleveland.
- 48:43Speaker 1: You know, they're not sending the top doctors down there.
- 48:47Speaker 1: They're opening down there with their name and hiring the
- 48:49Speaker 1: same local doctors so precisely.
- 48:52Speaker 14: And it's also strange that there's nobody no doctors with
- 48:55Speaker 14: you know, when you know, with the wits or a
- 48:56Speaker 14: berg at the F to the end of their name.
- 48:58Speaker 14: That takes some adjusting to get used to.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Oh you don't have that, No, not where I am.
- 49:03Speaker 14: Maybe down in Palm Beach or Miami, you know, there's
- 49:06Speaker 14: more Jewish doctors, but where I am in Port Sainte Lucy,
- 49:09Speaker 14: it's very rare.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Oh oh that doesn't sound good. All right, Well, no,
- 49:13Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Well that's why people moved to Florida.
- 49:16Speaker 1: But when they really need a real doctor, they fly
- 49:19Speaker 1: back to New York for it. Let's go to rich
- 49:21Speaker 1: in Myrtle Beach. Rich How you doing.
- 49:23Speaker 8: Hey, Thanks, Mark, I hope you had a good weekend.
- 49:26Speaker 8: You know, all these congress people and the Senate people
- 49:29Speaker 8: that have been suckling at the teet of the US
- 49:31Speaker 8: taxpayer for decades and decades and will continue to do
- 49:34Speaker 8: so for decades. You have to retire or all the
- 49:36Speaker 8: people complaining about all the stuff that Trump is doing
- 49:39Speaker 8: to the White House and the ball in the Rose
- 49:41Speaker 8: Garden that he's paying for through private donations. That doesn't
- 49:44Speaker 8: cost us a penny to anybody. It's all free money,
- 49:48Speaker 8: and he got nothing to do but complain about it.
- 49:51Speaker 8: But at the same time they're going to suck on
- 49:52Speaker 8: our teeth for the rest of the election.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but apparently there will be some tax payer money
- 49:56Speaker 1: in it. But the ballroom is just one part. The
- 49:58Speaker 1: other the ballroom is one and then they're going six
- 50:01Speaker 1: floors down to put in a real serious security stuff
- 50:05Speaker 1: bunker and all of that stuff. So it's a good point.
- 50:09Speaker 1: There's a bunker security facility under the White House. Now
- 50:12Speaker 1: apparently it's very outdated, not up to speed, not state
- 50:16Speaker 1: of the art. So under this ballroom they would build
- 50:19Speaker 1: an ad That's why the price rose too. By the way,
- 50:21Speaker 1: they're going to put absolute state of the art security
- 50:23Speaker 1: bunker situation, all that stuff down there, much better than
- 50:27Speaker 1: what they have. Now, let's go to Maria in Terrytown, Maria.
- 50:30Speaker 2: How you doing, hey, Mark.
- 50:33Speaker 11: A popular topic on the internet this weekend was that
- 50:37Speaker 11: Biden hired eighty seven thousand IRS agents who couldn't find
- 50:43Speaker 11: the Somali fraud. Meanwhile, you have Mike Shirley, Nick Shirley
- 50:47Speaker 11: finding it right away.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Very good point, excellent point that. Yeah, I think they
- 50:53Speaker 1: got rid of those eighty seven thousand agents. I think
- 50:55Speaker 1: Trump let them all go. Biden hired eighty seven thousand
- 50:59Speaker 1: arms with guns, high err S agents to go after people,
- 51:04Speaker 1: and they were basically targeting Republicans Conservatives. You're right, they
- 51:09Speaker 1: didn't find the Somali fraud. This twelve year old Nick
- 51:12Speaker 1: Shirley with a camera with his iPhone found like a
- 51:16Speaker 1: trillion dollars with a fraud already in Minnesota, now in California.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Apparently Ohio is next to going to find it all
- 51:23Speaker 1: over the place. This fraud is massive. What tells her name?
- 51:28Speaker 1: Elon Omar from Minnesota looks like she was adjacent to
- 51:32Speaker 1: all this fraud and according to Marco Rubio, they are
- 51:36Speaker 1: close to deporting her immigration violations. Apparently they'll get her
- 51:42Speaker 1: and most likely get rid of her the porter once
- 51:46Speaker 1: and for all. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 51:49Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 51:49Speaker 7: Good morning Mark, Good morning Mara. They should also check
- 51:53Speaker 7: the Tri State area because the medicaid fraud is massive
- 51:58Speaker 7: in the Tri State. Anybody who likes to fly a
- 52:02Speaker 7: lot and who has to check flight arrivals in departure
- 52:06Speaker 7: times should love AI. Because last week I had a
- 52:10Speaker 7: check on the arrival time of somebody coming into the state,
- 52:14Speaker 7: and I called up this major carrier and the first
- 52:17Speaker 7: thing when the phone immediately got answered and the voice said,
- 52:22Speaker 7: this is your blank blank AI assistant, How can I
- 52:26Speaker 7: help you? And I just said arrivals, they said, And
- 52:30Speaker 7: the voice said, the AI voice said date and time
- 52:34Speaker 7: and flight number. I'd put it in immediately. All that
- 52:37Speaker 7: flight is in the air, it'll be here in four minutes.
- 52:41Speaker 7: Much better than speaking to a human being.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Well, but sometimes AI get things very wrong. You know,
- 52:47Speaker 1: if your Google or AI, somebody.
- 52:49Speaker 7: You go, I'm not talking about I'm not talking about
- 52:51Speaker 7: Googling AI. I'm talking about I called up an eight
- 52:55Speaker 7: of one hundred number of the carrier and the AI answered,
- 53:01Speaker 7: And it's a very simple thing. They're listening to your
- 53:03Speaker 7: voice commands and everything was okay as far as I
- 53:08Speaker 7: was concerned. They got it right, Mark.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Instead of that, why don't you get I'm looking for
- 53:14Speaker 1: it on my phone. There's a great app. I think
- 53:16Speaker 1: it's called flight Tracker. You can look at every flight
- 53:18Speaker 1: where it is exactly. You can bring it up on it.
- 53:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I had last year. I had that. A friend
- 53:28Speaker 7: sent me that on a screen and I immediately got
- 53:31Speaker 7: rid of it. I immediately got rid of it out of
- 53:34Speaker 7: my phone. Well, because I don't want stuff like that
- 53:38Speaker 7: out of my phone.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Oh, it's tracking the flights, not you.
- 53:41Speaker 7: Well, anyway, that being said, I can't help but wonder
- 53:47Speaker 7: who's playing Who are the Iranians playing Trump or his
- 53:51Speaker 7: president Trump playing us? With these constant extensions of deceased
- 53:57Speaker 7: fire agreement, the latest one is sixty days ceasefire. We
- 54:02Speaker 7: have the framework of a possible agreement, but it doesn't
- 54:07Speaker 7: include the nukes. As General Jack Keane said on Larry
- 54:11Speaker 7: Kudlow's show over the weekend, does anybody think, no matter
- 54:16Speaker 7: what deal is inked, that they're gonna live up to it?
- 54:20Speaker 2: No?
- 54:21Speaker 7: Really, And I'll go as far as saying it was
- 54:25Speaker 7: bad enough that the Kebash wasn't put on this wharf
- 54:30Speaker 7: for Memorial Day. If this goes past Labor Day, and
- 54:34Speaker 7: this thoughts to affect people's heating bills. I don't care
- 54:38Speaker 7: how many primaries Trump candidates.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I know, but give President Trump a chance.
- 54:43Speaker 7: All right, well, let's see.
- 54:45Speaker 1: We gotta go do the news. But all right, all right,
- 54:48Speaker 1: Trump's the master negotiator. It goes up and down, but
- 54:51Speaker 1: in the end he always seems to win. Hey, when
- 54:53Speaker 1: we come back, Bill O'Reilly's not here. He's actually in Ireland.
- 54:57Speaker 1: He'll be back next week. But we'll talk to Ed.
- 55:00Speaker 1: You want to know how the midterms will go, how
- 55:03Speaker 1: these primaries will go, how the elections will go. He's
- 55:05Speaker 1: the probably the expert of the world on elections and
- 55:09Speaker 1: primaries and midterms. We'll talk to him next on seven
- 55:12Speaker 1: to ten WR Mark.
- 55:14Speaker 11: Simon Show on sevent ten WR.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Well, let's talk to the Dean himself, Ed Rollins. Nobody's
- 55:23Speaker 1: run more campaigns, or more successful campaigns, or worked with
- 55:26Speaker 1: more presidents and politicians, and it's great to him with us.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Ed Rollins, how you doing, good.
- 55:32Speaker 8: Morning, How are you. Today's a big day for Republicans,
- 55:35Speaker 8: the big Texas Texas Senate race primary. The President just
- 55:40Speaker 8: endorsed a week ago, but probably will influence the race greatly.
- 55:45Speaker 8: With those consequences, we should talk about.
- 55:47Speaker 1: And what do you think will happen today?
- 55:50Speaker 8: I think that Paxton will probably win it. These attorney general.
- 55:55Speaker 8: He came a second in the primary before to John
- 55:59Speaker 8: Cornyn's a there's a fourth term former leader. Republicans very
- 56:06Speaker 8: popular in Washington, but I think the president's endorsement probably
- 56:10Speaker 8: makes the difference there. The consequences is though, if Paxton wins,
- 56:15Speaker 8: he's got a lot more controversy in his background. His
- 56:18Speaker 8: most expensive primary history, over one hundred and sixty five
- 56:21Speaker 8: million dollars has already been spent, and it's very in
- 56:23Speaker 8: the primary. Probably another three hundred million and four hundred
- 56:26Speaker 8: million dollars that we spent by the time this thing
- 56:29Speaker 8: is finished, maybe more. I think the critical thing here
- 56:33Speaker 8: is the White House political team had better start counting
- 56:37Speaker 8: votes because Corner is a very popular guy. He was
- 56:41Speaker 8: the deputy leader, and and you now have a couple
- 56:45Speaker 8: of these senators who've President's gone it and defeated, and
- 56:49Speaker 8: obviously they still get to vote till January third next year.
- 56:53Speaker 8: Oh yeah, so you know the margins are close, and
- 56:59Speaker 8: obviously the President's got a lot of he wants done,
- 57:01Speaker 8: including his billion dollar ballroom. So my sense is this
- 57:06Speaker 8: one's gonna have consequences either way.
- 57:09Speaker 1: So in that recent round of endorsements, the president was
- 57:12Speaker 1: thirty seven, and oh, did that surprise you that he
- 57:15Speaker 1: was so good at that.
- 57:18Speaker 8: He's good at picking Republicans in the primaries and particularly
- 57:25Speaker 8: in places where independiso get to vote, which is like
- 57:28Speaker 8: the last last one or what was the publicly only
- 57:32Speaker 8: But there's but there's consequences. I think to a certain
- 57:34Speaker 8: extent that the combination of what's going on in the
- 57:38Speaker 8: Middle East and what's going on in the sense of
- 57:41Speaker 8: domestic politics, this slush run is advocating almost one point
- 57:47Speaker 8: eight billion dollars slush run and billion dollars for the
- 57:51Speaker 8: ballroom that no one, nobody wants. Nobody anywhere outside of
- 57:55Speaker 8: his inner camp wants either one of those things. So
- 57:58Speaker 8: I think to a certain extent, they're gonna take a
- 58:00Speaker 8: price for them, and they may not get the resources
- 58:02Speaker 8: for them. The Senate. The president wants to send a
- 58:05Speaker 8: sent on a message sending can easily send a message back,
- 58:08Speaker 8: and that's not good for the president rogres.
- 58:11Speaker 1: So but wait, wait, a minute, I want the ballroom.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I like the ballroom.
- 58:16Speaker 8: Well, it's good. You can take some of your take
- 58:18Speaker 8: some of your bonus. You're rich enough to have to
- 58:23Speaker 8: make a couple million dollar contribution to a billion dollar Uh.
- 58:26Speaker 8: But it's certainly not it's certainly not something that's people
- 58:31Speaker 8: see as necessary today.
- 58:32Speaker 1: And it's a very hard cornic, but you spent a
- 58:35Speaker 1: lot of time in the White House. The idea that
- 58:37Speaker 1: the big, large presidential gallows are held outside in the
- 58:41Speaker 1: lawn and a tent that's kind of cheese.
- 58:43Speaker 8: Well, well if they're not. You know, the bottom line
- 58:47Speaker 8: is is very few that are held outside. And that's
- 58:49Speaker 8: a decision, you know, it is what it is. It's
- 58:54Speaker 8: there's other other things that you wanted to have. There's
- 58:57Speaker 8: a pension building which is a couple blocks away, is
- 59:00Speaker 8: every bit as large as the new ballroom. And I
- 59:03Speaker 8: think the reality is, you know, spending a billion dollars
- 59:06Speaker 8: plus on a ballroom that the president promised he was
- 59:08Speaker 8: going to pay for himself and is not now I'm
- 59:10Speaker 8: not going to do that is causing people who are
- 59:13Speaker 8: out there struggling to make against meet. It's going to
- 59:18Speaker 8: be biggest, it's going to a big issue in every
- 59:20Speaker 8: every campaign, I promise you.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's the government. They waste a billion dollars
- 59:24Speaker 1: every second on something.
- 59:25Speaker 8: But I understand that. But the the premises you're not
- 59:28Speaker 8: supposed to be wasting money, premises you're supposed to go
- 59:30Speaker 8: in there and and fix those things and not not
- 59:33Speaker 8: waste money. And obviously every every poll I've seen that
- 59:37Speaker 8: there's there's no support for this ballroom.
- 59:39Speaker 1: All right, let me try one other argument. If you're
- 59:41Speaker 1: going to build a ballroom, why not do it when
- 59:43Speaker 1: you're president happens to be an expert at building ballrooms,
- 59:47Speaker 1: He's done it all over the world.
- 59:48Speaker 8: You'll never have the realities. Well, if you want to
- 59:53Speaker 8: build hotels around the world and the price is also
- 59:55Speaker 8: an expert hearing that that's it's the worst environ meant
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: to try and do this. So I'm telling you it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: don't underestimate. I mean, if you talk to anybody out
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: around the country that this is this is one of
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: the key issues, and it would be a gigantic issue
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: in this campaign.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Let me ask you one more thing, spending. You've spent
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: so much time in the White House, the Rose Garden,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: It's much better now with the beautiful patio than the grass.
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: Some people think that. Some people like the old rose,
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: so you know, I'm going to some people think so,
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: some people who think the changes in the White House
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: are great. Some people think it's all very tacky. So,
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: but I think right now people would rather have their
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: money being spent on things that obviously, UH, keep taxes
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: lower and basically keep keep ordinary people more in line
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: with the President's focus on I think people getting tired
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: of the Middle East paddles they're talking about in the Cuba,
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: talk of getting in the Greenland and all that kind
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: of stuff. Focus on getting this thing fixed and get
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: this economy moving positively towards Americans is a much better issue.
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: I would hate to be I have to run campaigns
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: all over this country, uh, Congressional and Senate, presidential. I
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: would hate to be out there defending these things. Uh.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: I think it puts this as fast as the president
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: is the communicator, it's going to why waste his time
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: based basically he's not going to be there where the
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: ball and was finished, and there's certainly no demand by
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: any of the candidates. UH.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: Argument I.
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: Pended to put more billionaires in the in the ballroom.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: One more question. You've spent a million hours in the
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Oval office. When you see it now, with five million
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: paintings all over every inch of the wall, and that gold,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: gold ornate gold, every it is a little too much,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: It's tacky. I mean I every time I watch it,
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: I get the writing of a holiday and a holiday in,
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: and then that renders the holiday in. But it's just
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: not it's you know, it's a very special place. And
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: I think, to a certain extent, this is what the
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: president I used to do. Obviously, I'm sure walks in
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: every room he's ever in and says I could fix
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: this or I could fix that. But there's too many.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: It's every time I see it, there's a new gold
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: something or other somewhere, new trophy, and and it's a
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: certain extent that's not it's it's a it's a very
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: special place and and historically it needs to be created
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: as a special place.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: All right, Well you tell him. I'm not going to
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: tell him, but uh uh hey, let me ask you this.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Uh there's some Democratic candidate. You've got this guy Platiner
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: in Maine, big Nazi tattoo right on his chest, a
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: history of saying the most disgusting things of how what
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: happened that they're now going with candidates like this and
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: they're all.
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: Back in them. Well, he's a big personality, it's it's
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: a race has become competitive. He's kind of an unknown
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: guy and he's he's now become a very popular candidate
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: and to a certain extent. Uh, you know, how do
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: we get the mayor of New York? He doesn't have it,
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: He doesn't have a tattoo on a ship. It doesn't matter.
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: You know, Socialists is across his forehead. And you know,
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: you and I a year ago and never thought he
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: had been elected. So there's a lot of strange candidates
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: out there that there's a lot of disaffection for the
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: establishment and the Republican establishments, particularly so identified hard and
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: this thing is going to be a knockdown, drag out collection.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: I do think the president has got tremendous resources money wise,
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: and if they spend it well, they may make it
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: better than people anticipate today. But that's certainly holding the
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: House and now the Senate being in play is not
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: what you want the last two years of the administration.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Have you ever seen it like this bad way? Any
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: party is so far extremist to the Democrats, so far left.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Have you ever seen that before in any era?
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Not my air?
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: And certainly I go back fifty years and I studied
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: history and I've taught courses, so I pretty much know
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: the political world for a long time, from at least
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: the history perspectives. And I think to a certain extent,
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: this presidence of a different personality. He's, uh, he's bigger
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: than my personality, you know. And I think to a
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: certain extent, some people life and some people don't. You know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: the worst polling numbers of any president in modern history,
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: and he's he's got someone has to count, you know,
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: the bottom line, and you're not gonna win here if
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: not just Republicans and they're starting to be a little
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: anger there. But the independence are plurality of voters today.
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: Independence were a big part of his his nomination and
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: his win, and I think to a certain extent they
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: got to get those independence back.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Well Ed Rowlands, great stuff, always great talking to you.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Keep up the good work and we'll talk again soon.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: And how much you're going to send to the uh, well,
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: I have to stay neutral on this, Okay, stay neutral.
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: All you get you'll get invited no matter what.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us. Take care great ed Rowans, Hey,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: don't forget at noon today, Buck and Clay, everybody's back.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: It's remember it's it's not Monday, it's Tuesday. Today's Tuesday.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: But everybody's back today. Sean Hannity, that most listened to
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: radio show in the world, also back at everybody's back.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: And you know, Curtis is now here. You can hear
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Curtis Leewa every morning six to ten right here on
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: seven ten.
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: W r.
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: It's gonna be a beautiful week. It's gonna be sunny
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: like eighty today. It's gonna be like this all week
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: and through the weekend unless the weather forecast changes. But
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: right now for the next six seven days, absolutely beautiful,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: perfect weather. I guess that makes up for Memorial Day weekend.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: So hey, Don Junior, Donald Trump Junior got married over
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the weekend to Bettina Anderson. Tiny ceremony. It's just forty people,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: mostly family, you know, brother, sister, siblings, they're kids. But
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: right there, that's forty people. But President Trump did not
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: attend the wedding. He was in New York on Friday,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Rockland County speaking and then today had to go back
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to He was supposed to go to Bedminster for the weekend,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: but that changed because of the Iran situation, although I
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: think it also changed because they saw the weather forecasting.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: It was a pouring rain all weekend. There could be
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: no golf. So with no golf, what's the point of Bedminster.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I think that's the other reason he went back. But
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: I love he was well. I guess because of Ran
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: he couldn't go to Don Junior's wedding. Yeah, but from
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: what I hear, nobody is too thrilled with this wife
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: he's marrying. But Tina Anderson, I mean, he's even in
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Palm Beach, kind of a questionable character. They're not exactly
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: thrilled that he's marrying her. That might be another reason
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: he didn't get to the wedding. Anyway, we're out of time,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: but I'm back every day ten to noon, and don't forget.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You can also listen anytime. If you can't listen ten
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to noon, or you missed the show or missed an hour,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: he can always get the podcast place you get podcasts,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you'll find this show and you can hear it anytime.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I'll see you tomorrow ten have a great day. Seven
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: ten Woir
