Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Every week brings another headline, another outrage, another crisis, another apology.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: But the real story isn't what just happened.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: It's why the same things keep happening again and again.
- 0:12SPEAKER_02: This show isn't about chasing the news.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: It's about understanding the pattern shaping our culture, the consequences they leave behind, and how we can stop being pawns in the social political games.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: Together, Elsa Kurt and Clay Novak slow it down, connect the dots, and tell the truth.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: No spin, no theater, and no apologies.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Welcome to the show.
- 0:36SPEAKER_05: Well, hey, stranger.
- 0:37SPEAKER_05: How you been?
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: I'm good.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: Welcome back.
- 0:39SPEAKER_05: Thank God you're thank you.
- 0:41SPEAKER_05: It's good to be back.
- 0:42SPEAKER_05: It's good to be back.
- 0:42SPEAKER_05: So, as usual, I I pull a fast one on Clay.
- 0:46SPEAKER_05: Pull a fast one on myself, really.
- 0:48SPEAKER_05: I mean, I don't know what I'm doing from time to time.
- 0:50SPEAKER_05: So uh two weeks ago when we were together on here, um, we agreed that we were both gonna be away, uh busy, occupied for the next week's show, last week.
- 1:03SPEAKER_05: And um, I didn't think anything of it until about uh, I don't know, two days before my flight.
- 1:10SPEAKER_05: And I said, wait a minute, I got that backwards.
- 1:13SPEAKER_05: I'm I'm actually, or I was I was still here and I was gone the following week.
- 1:19SPEAKER_05: So I messed up.
- 1:20SPEAKER_05: I mean, what guys?
- 1:22SPEAKER_05: I travel every just about every month.
- 1:26unknown: Yeah.
- 1:26SPEAKER_05: It's not like a set day every month.
- 1:29SPEAKER_05: Like I sometimes I don't book my flight until like two weeks before, three weeks before.
- 1:35SPEAKER_05: I don't know if I'm coming or going.
- 1:37SPEAKER_05: I I mean, I don't know.
- 1:38SPEAKER_05: But Clay, as usual, just you know, shrugs and and rolls with everything.
- 1:43SPEAKER_05: So thank you.
- 1:44SPEAKER_05: I appreciate you.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: But always better to have you or the both of us.
- 1:50SPEAKER_05: You know, thank you.
- 1:51SPEAKER_05: And I followed by myself.
- 1:53SPEAKER_05: But you know, I s I swear this is like a thing.
- 1:57SPEAKER_05: You got the topics that I was dying to talk about when I saw your topic.
- 2:03SPEAKER_05: So I was like, I want to be on so bad.
- 2:06SPEAKER_05: Do you think you'll mind if I just pop in with a gaggle of kids climbing all over me and popping me on the head?
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: Anytime.
- 2:15SPEAKER_05: Could you imagine?
- 2:16SPEAKER_05: Actually, it would have been pretty funny if I just popped in and I was like, hi.
- 2:21SPEAKER_05: Oh my goodness.
- 2:23SPEAKER_05: That's all right, though.
- 2:24SPEAKER_05: You know, no, there's no offense to this week's topics.
- 2:28SPEAKER_05: As always, um, you got some really good ones here that we're gonna be talking about and uh asking for your input on too, guys, right?
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, as always.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, I think we're what are we, six, seven this week?
- 2:44SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, something like that.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: But uh yeah, as we say, you know, the news cycle never fails us.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: It always provides plenty of material and it's always uh the most up-to-date and current stuff.
- 2:54SPEAKER_03: I mean, you even added one five minutes ago.
- 2:57SPEAKER_05: I did.
- 2:58SPEAKER_05: A last last minute runner up is getting thrown in there, mostly because I'm just shooketh.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: But today is Wednesday at 5 p.m.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: uh east coast time.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: So there's there's your date timestamp.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: You guys know when we're reporting.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: So if something cut happens between now and release of the show tomorrow evening, you will know why we're not talking about it.
- 3:22SPEAKER_05: Yes, absolutely.
- 3:23SPEAKER_05: All right, guys, we're gonna get into it right after this.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Both day bringing the truth.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: This is the else.
- 3:57SPEAKER_05: All right, Clay.
- 3:58SPEAKER_05: Somewhere between tens of thousands of people pouring across Spain's border in New York trying to dress federal agents, Cuba going dark again, and Washington, Washington requesting another mountain of money uh for Iran.
- 4:13SPEAKER_05: Um, Sophie Cunningham may be the only person this week whose plan is easy to understand, which is protect women's sport, sports, tell the truth, and accept that somebody is definitely going to boo.
- 4:26SPEAKER_05: Um, but right off the bat, we're gonna talk about Spain.
- 4:29SPEAKER_05: My goodness.
- 4:30SPEAKER_05: So, do you see that all happening in in essentially real time?
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I saw it uh as soon as the reporting started, I saw it, and and I knew like this just watching that first camera shots, I was like, this is tens of thousands of people.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: What I didn't understand necessarily was the where they were going into.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: So that I I mean, I'm not you know, I'm not Spanish, I've never been to Spain, I'm not familiar terribly with all of the geography, but right, so they was like I think it was the 31st or even the first this happened.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Um, and they went into uh Suta, I think is the name of it.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: I don't know if that's pronounced correctly, but uh so that little province, that little enclave in Spain is about 86,000 people.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: That's what lives there.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: And the numbers are a little fuzzy, but the estimates are somewhere between 60 and 72,000 people mad.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: All I I I don't know, I haven't heard a single report of a woman or a child under the age of probably 15.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: Um all what we would refer to as military age males came rushing across the border.
- 5:53SPEAKER_05: Um you know what's interesting to me when I was uh I'm sorry, when I was reading uh reading up on this, one of the reports, so to speak, that I got was saying children, children being separated and blah blah and all this stuff.
- 6:09SPEAKER_05: And I was like, that's interesting because I I saw quite a bit, I'm sure you did too, quite a bit of footage.
- 6:17SPEAKER_05: And and here's just a you know a sampling of the footage that I saw.
- 6:22SPEAKER_05: And you tell me if you see any children or women for that matter, here's this.
- 6:30SPEAKER_05: I mean I'm not seeing any children.
- 6:34SPEAKER_05: I'm seeing exactly what you said, Clay.
- 6:37SPEAKER_05: Um military-aged men just pouring through the gates there.
- 6:46SPEAKER_05: Uh just crazy, crazy, crazy.
- 6:49SPEAKER_05: And then uh one of the more just I don't know, disheartening, upsetting, frightening uh videos was this one here.
- 7:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 7:12SPEAKER_05: So uh I mean this is what's going on.
- 7:16SPEAKER_05: And um I wanted to show this one too.
- 7:20SPEAKER_05: This one's like super shocking.
- 7:22SPEAKER_05: Um let me see if I can put that up there.
- 7:25SPEAKER_05: Hang on.
- 7:27SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 7:29SPEAKER_05: Look at that one.
- 7:32SPEAKER_05: Hmm.
- 7:34SPEAKER_05: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 7:35SPEAKER_05: That one it was actually Texas.
- 7:38SPEAKER_05: Sorry, my bad.
- 7:40SPEAKER_05: My bad.
- 7:40SPEAKER_05: That was actually Texas, guys.
- 7:42SPEAKER_05: Yes, I did that on purpose.
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: Yes, I did that to make a point that uh that was uh all a big fat thank you to Biden.
- 7:52SPEAKER_05: So, you know, when we look at that footage footage from Spain, which is absolutely shocking and and frightening to watch because uh there were quite a few people that that died um in this.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: That the number is somewhere around 86.
- 8:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: Um that's no like, you know, in a in an enclave of 86,000 people, 86 people die.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: Like that's a that's a big deal.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: Um you know, and so that you're you're right.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: That clip that you put up there of Texas, this this border between Morocco and Spain is very, very similar to the Biden era, Texas, Mexico, Arizona, Mexico, New Mexico, Mexico, California, Mexico, that whole southern border during the Biden administration.
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: And what generated all of this was erroneous um postings on social media, specifically TikTok, saying that Spain had or was going to change their border and immigration policy.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: And so that drove this mass of humanity to these border crossing points.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: Um and for whatever reason, the Spanish officials there opened the frigging gates.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: Um, and and so, you know, they they rush over.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: Um, again, 86 people killed in this mess, hundreds of businesses burgled, vandalized, you know, um looted, broken into.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: Most of them, and even the ones who weren't, most of them shut down.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: So now they're not just you know trying to protect themselves, they're not supporting the people that live there.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: A whole bunch of people who live there evacuated, they got out of there as fast as they possibly could.
- 9:40SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 9:40SPEAKER_03: Um, and so it impacted travelers through the region.
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: Like, I guess this, you know, enclave for those that travel from Spain into Morocco, this was one of the points where it was like the last stop in Spain.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: So people would stay overnight in a hostel, they would, you know, eat some food or whatever, and it was a transition point.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: So all of those facilities closed.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: So anybody who was traveling through the region didn't have that available.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: Um, but I guess the driving factor, all kind of exacerbated by the um social media posts, was that youth unemployment, youth male unemployment specifically in Morocco, and that is from like 18 to 25 or 18 to 30, is at 37%.
- 10:28SPEAKER_05: Really?
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: So when you've got 37% of that demographic, that age group, males in that age group, which is exactly what we saw in all that film footage you provided, when they have nothing to do and and they're unemployed and they're desperate, this is what happens.
- 10:45SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: Um there is there are reports.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: I this is impossible.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: I I find it absolutely impossible, and I don't believe it for a second, but there are reports that all of them have been returned to Morocco.
- 10:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no way, no way, no way, no way, absolutely no way.
- 11:02SPEAKER_05: And you know, I saw, and I don't know if you saw this, uh, but uh apparently Nick Shirley was there doing his uh investigative, and he was actually, he and his film crew were um, you know, chased and threatened uh with murder, and this was after they were supposedly all gone, you know, with with just a few left in there.
- 11:24SPEAKER_05: And uh, you know, his video footage shows shows otherwise.
- 11:28SPEAKER_05: So, you know, it what we're being told and what's happening, you know, not that this is the first time, nobody should be surprised by that, but the thing that is well, I guess this isn't surprising either.
- 11:39SPEAKER_05: It's just yet another disheartening um fact.
- 11:43SPEAKER_05: I I saw a lot of reports of people saying a lot of posts, I should say, of people saying things like, I I talked to my liberal friend, relative, neighbor, whatever, uh, about this, and lo and behold, they knew nothing about it.
- 12:04SPEAKER_05: Meaning that the mainstream media isn't showing them this, much like they're not probably showing them the Fauci hearing and all of these things, you know.
- 12:14SPEAKER_05: So I don't don't ever be disillusioned, guys.
- 12:17SPEAKER_05: This is still, no matter, you know, how many times that they've been caught out for doing this stuff and reprimanded for it, and are they getting called out daily for it?
- 12:26SPEAKER_05: They're still doing it, they're still um, you know, misleading the the the masses uh with their lies and BS.
- 12:36SPEAKER_05: So another case of that is this.
- 12:38SPEAKER_05: And it's so crazy to me that such a major event, such a catastrophic event was going on, and so many people are completely oblivious to it.
- 12:50SPEAKER_05: Isn't it crazy?
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: Beyond beyond just not paying attention, which I mean, we you know, we have plenty of people guilty of that, right?
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, not keeping themselves aware or up to date, or um, you know, there are people who avoid the news, they do it on purpose.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: But yes, for for those that are you know news watchers or are trying to stay abreast of things going on globally, to not know about this is appalling, but again, at the same time, not surprising.
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: So um, you know, interestingly too, there is uh mixed reaction inside the Spanish government, which is baffling to me.
- 13:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:27SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, the the president is pointing fingers, um, you know, some of their I don't know if it's parliament, whatever they call it, whatever their lawmaker body is, they're pointing fingers.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: Some of them are okay with this, some of them are not, you know, some of them have the typical like left-wing sympathy.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: Oh, poor people.
- 13:48SPEAKER_03: And they're not talking about the Spaniards, you know, they're talking about the Moroccans, oh, those poor people.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: They just they're so desperate and unemployed, you know, we should allow them to come in and all this other stuff.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: So um, these are the kinds of things, folks, that um are going to break the EU.
- 14:07SPEAKER_03: Uh, when you've got this happening to Spain, and then you've got the other European nations looking at this.
- 14:14SPEAKER_03: One, you've got Poland over there going, We told you so.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we told you.
- 14:19SPEAKER_05: Um Poland is all about holding the line, man.
- 14:23SPEAKER_05: How about Poland?
- 14:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: But now you've got Italy saying they're gonna close their borders completely.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Right, there will be no more migrants.
- 14:31SPEAKER_03: Um, and so that's progressing through the EU.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: Um, and and you know the deal, it's like water, it's like the flow of water.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: So if they can't go to Poland and they can't go to Italy, like they're gonna flood themselves into other places.
- 14:46SPEAKER_03: And if they're they get into Spain, they're not gonna stop at Spain, they're gonna go to France, they're gonna go to Portugal, they're gonna go to those places, and you know, you're gonna start seeing fractures in the EU specifically, more fractures, specifically because of individual countries' border and immigration policies changing as rapidly as they're as they are right now.
- 15:10SPEAKER_05: It's mind-blowing that any other country can look at what just happened there.
- 15:14SPEAKER_05: I mean, look what happens in any country, in any region where this happens, to look at that and go, yeah, but it's not gonna be like that here.
- 15:23SPEAKER_05: And we gotta be nice.
- 15:24SPEAKER_05: We gotta let them in because it's the nice thing to do.
- 15:27SPEAKER_05: And you know, we're if if we're nothing else, we're nice and we care about migrants.
- 15:34SPEAKER_05: You know, it's so crazy.
- 15:35SPEAKER_05: And and to your point with that, like uh both realities are are true.
- 15:40SPEAKER_05: Like desperation doesn't create unlimited right to enter another country, and enforcing a border doesn't erase the humanity of those attempting to cross it.
- 15:50SPEAKER_05: Like it's that little crazy little word called balance.
- 15:54SPEAKER_05: Like there is a balance, and there's a reason for a door and a gate.
- 15:59SPEAKER_05: It's so that people can go through them in the proper channels.
- 16:04SPEAKER_05: Like I we need to stop, or they, not we, they need to stop pretending that a door is like uh, you know, um a cruel, a cruel thing to have because you got one in your house, you you know, you you have one, you don't just let people barge in, uh, strangers, random people barge through your front door.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: Why would you let that that be the case for your country?
- 16:32SPEAKER_05: It's just absurd and it's just ridiculous.
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: And you know, and for anyone, because there's always that one person that comes in and says, it's very unchristian of you, Elsa.
- 16:41SPEAKER_05: I thought you were a Christian.
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: You call yourself a Christian, but you don't believe in, you know, compassion for listen, the Bible is filled with with uh nations and gates and laws and stewardship and obligations and all of these things.
- 16:56SPEAKER_05: Compassion doesn't mean that uh handing our our keys over to the the burglars and the smugglers and the murderers um just because we want to be nice.
- 17:05SPEAKER_05: It's not it's not a deal.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, every place of worship in the United States has doors that lock.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: Every one of them.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: Like I don't care what faith you are, I don't care denomination, I don't care.
- 17:22SPEAKER_03: They all have doors that lock, and it's not an accident, right?
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, I love it when people throw that at you because they always do.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: It happens every single time.
- 17:32SPEAKER_05: Every single time.
- 17:33SPEAKER_05: And and listen, I've done it before, and I have shared Charlie Kirk's uh amazing, just beyond master class in correction for somebody who, you know, made a similar accusation that, like, well, you know, or he wanted him to separate um church and government and and all of that stuff.
- 17:54SPEAKER_05: And he just went down this entire long list of um citing Bible passages and and chapters and verses and everything that um completely confirmed that yes, we definitely should have borders.
- 18:10SPEAKER_05: Yes, as a Christian, you are responsible and respectful to the laws and and governing bodies of your place of residence.
- 18:20SPEAKER_05: Like it is in the Bible, it's there.
- 18:22SPEAKER_05: And if you're gonna say that it's not, you're just telling me that you're not reading your Bible and you're just cherry-picking things, you know.
- 18:29SPEAKER_05: So, but yeah, all of that.
- 18:31SPEAKER_05: And um, I I just think it's just so wild to me that um one, that there are people who don't even know that it happened, two, people that see that it's happening see these videos, the same ones we watched and more.
- 18:47SPEAKER_05: I actually saw a video uh, you know, damn that X, because they always, you know, there there's no restraints on stuff there until it's too late.
- 18:57SPEAKER_05: But uh there was actually a video I actually came across where it was uh on the streets of this uh small town, village, whatever town, um a guy getting stabbed by one of these, you know, they're just flooding down the street and just stopped, and this guy tried to, you know, kind of stop this other guy as he's running past, and he just stabbed him right in the neck, and that was that.
- 19:20SPEAKER_05: So that's what's going on to look at that, to see these things, um, and go, yeah, but there's no yeah but there just isn't.
- 19:29SPEAKER_05: So pull it together, people.
- 19:32SPEAKER_05: Thank God for uh thank God for the Trump administration um stopping all of that from happening here.
- 19:39SPEAKER_05: I mean, it already happened, obviously.
- 19:41SPEAKER_05: And they tried to keep us oblivious of it as much as they could, but watching that was like watching the the last video that I showed.
- 19:49SPEAKER_05: You know, it's like really like it's literally what was happening here, and people are oblivious.
- 19:55SPEAKER_05: Crazy, crazy, crazy.
- 19:57SPEAKER_05: Um, here's a not crazy.
- 19:59SPEAKER_05: Well, I mean, there's crazy parts to it.
- 20:02SPEAKER_05: Man, oh man, I love this girl so much.
- 20:04SPEAKER_05: I just love her.
- 20:06SPEAKER_05: And I don't watch it, I don't watch basketball.
- 20:08SPEAKER_05: I don't watch any basketball, men's or women's, but boy, oh boy, they're uh this girl and um what the heck's her name?
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: Caitlin Clark.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 20:17SPEAKER_05: Um they are you know pretty close to single-handedly bringing up those numbers and that viewership for they it's them, and it's yeah, and it's only them.
- 20:26SPEAKER_03: And yeah.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: So Sophie Cunningham in an interview this week was asked, or in this past week, was asked about uh or the topic came up about trans athletes, and she took the hard line very publicly and said, shouldn't happen, shouldn't be here.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: Little girl, keep them out of little girls' locker rooms, they shouldn't be playing sports together.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: You know, she she went down that entire line.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: And um, you know, she got a lot of support.
- 20:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, there were the two young girls I talked about last week that uh, you know, sat there at the Seattle game with their sign and said, Thank you, Sophie.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: Um, there are tons and tons and tons of um, you know, mom, girl moms, and and girl dads that are out there at the games now, um, telling Sophie thank you uh for protecting young girls and young girls' sports and all these things.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: And at the same time, she's getting tons and tons and tons of backlash.
- 21:28SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 21:28SPEAKER_05: And so in a within the whole league itself, and of course the fans.
- 21:33SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: And so even in a given an opportunity in a post-game, I think it was a post-game, she was in her uniform, she was in a hallway.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: It looked like it was a post-game interview.
- 21:43SPEAKER_03: They asked her, like, are you sure?
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: Is this what you really meant?
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: And she goes, I said what I said.
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure.
- 21:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I have that actually.
- 21:51SPEAKER_05: Let's watch it.
- 21:51SPEAKER_05: I have it.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: Sorry with ESPN.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: You talked about wanting to protect young girls who shouldn't have to go against biological men.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: Just can you expand your viewpoint?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think I said what I said.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: I think it's kind of common sense.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think I always believe in that.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: I think it's really important to protect children.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's uh little girls uh who are also involved in that category.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: And so um I I stand on what I said and um I always believe that.
- 22:18SPEAKER_05: Love that.
- 22:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, love, love, love it.
- 22:21SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, you know, so uh let me ask you about this.
- 22:25SPEAKER_05: So I did see uh a clip of Caitlin Clark uh after the fact also being questioned about this.
- 22:33SPEAKER_05: And the post about it that I saw, their their caption or their comment regarding her response was that she was being cowardly and that she dodged the question and she took the safe route.
- 22:48SPEAKER_05: Uh I have mixed feelings about that.
- 22:51SPEAKER_05: But I want to know what you think of Caitlin Clark kind of playing the middle on that.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: I I have no problem with athletes staying apolitical and not putting their personal politics out there.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: I I really I have no problem with that.
- 23:07SPEAKER_03: I actually prefer that.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: I don't care what your politics are as a professional athlete, because so many of them are insulated, so many of them truthfully are uneducated, they're ill-informed, they're all of those things.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: So I but they and unfortunately they also have very big platforms.
- 23:24SPEAKER_03: So if they choose not to, that was always the um the knock on Michael Jordan.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: Everybody always said that Michael, who is the most you know, popular athlete in the world since Muhammad Ali, should have he had an obligation to take on causes, which he never did.
- 23:40SPEAKER_03: Um and he always said, Hey, white kids wear my shoes too, right?
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: And and that was always his thing.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, and then you've got the guys like Charles Barkley, who's like, I'm not a role model, I'm a basketball player.
- 23:52SPEAKER_03: Um, so I I don't have any problem with Caitlin Clark staying out of politics.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: Good for her, um, if that's what she chooses to do.
- 24:02SPEAKER_03: Now I know people are, like you said, calling her cowardly and that she has an obligation and all, and she doesn't.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: No, if she if somebody says she has an obligation uh to be political, to take a stand, to take a stance aside, whatever, um they're they're investing way too much into another person's opinion.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Uh and and so I I think it's garbage.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: The problem is that in the league, there are four coaches, including Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark's coach, who, when asked what her opinion is on this topic, she said, Well, I'm not educated enough in the science of all this to really have an opinion.
- 24:49SPEAKER_03: And it's like, you're a woman.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: This is about women's.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:52SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 24:53SPEAKER_03: You have the knowledge.
- 24:54SPEAKER_03: It's kind of biology for you.
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: So she avoided it.
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: Now there's been other, I think three other coaches that have made statements.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: There's even one who wore a t-shirt that said, you know, something about trans trans kids.
- 25:08SPEAKER_05: Something or other trans kids matter or something.
- 25:11SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 25:14SPEAKER_03: Her team played Indiana with Sophie Clark and or Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark.
- 25:20SPEAKER_05: Which is insane to me, by the way.
- 25:22SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 25:23SPEAKER_05: Insane to me.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: One, the league should have find her.
- 25:26SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: Truthfully.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: But it's an activist league.
- 25:30SPEAKER_03: It's not a sports league.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: It is go way gone from being a sports league.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: One, it's got the worst officiating anyway.
- 25:37SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's terrible.
- 25:39SPEAKER_05: Terrible.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: And two, it is not a professional league.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: It's an activist league.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: And here's how I know this to be true.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Most people don't know, or at least a good portion of people don't know.
- 25:51SPEAKER_03: Sophie Cunningham has admittedly come out and said she's bisexual.
- 25:54SPEAKER_03: Or at times in her life, asexual.
- 25:57SPEAKER_03: Like she doesn't care.
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 25:59SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 25:59SPEAKER_03: But because of this stance against trans kids, trans athletes, she has been called anti-LGBTQ.
- 26:10SPEAKER_03: She is the B, right?
- 26:12SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 26:13SPEAKER_03: Um, but also been called a racist because the they're claiming the stance or the statement is that the WNBA has been built by black lesbian athletes.
- 26:26SPEAKER_04: Oh, geez.
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: If you don't support black lesbian, or if you don't support the LGBTQ rainbow, then you are clearly a villain.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: And so that right there tells me that it has nothing to do with sports anymore.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: Nothing to do with athletics, nothing to do with ability.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: It is all about your politics and your activism.
- 26:48SPEAKER_03: And that right there is why the WNBA is going to die.
- 26:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 26:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 26:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 26:54SPEAKER_05: And I think they have um, you know, you we can liken it a bit to, of course, the NFL and go back to the Colin Kaepernick uh days where, you know, all of that nonsense.
- 27:07SPEAKER_05: And for many people, including myself, it it destroyed, it ruined the love of football, uh, professional football for me, for us.
- 27:17SPEAKER_05: And I've talked about many times, it was a big thing for us.
- 27:20SPEAKER_05: This was our Sunday, you know, the jerseys, the the food, all of the things.
- 27:25SPEAKER_05: Um, and once they started allowing that, uh I was done with.
- 27:30SPEAKER_05: I was disgusted enough to truly be done with it, and I haven't gone back.
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: And uh, and that makes me sad because I did enjoy it, but they ruined it for me.
- 27:38SPEAKER_05: Listen, if you could, if y'all, whoever's watching, be like, oh, you're a big baby, toughen up, watch it.
- 27:42SPEAKER_05: If you like it, it shouldn't matter.
- 27:44SPEAKER_05: It does matter.
- 27:45SPEAKER_05: I I love this country uh when you disrespect it by the the kneeling and all of that crap, and your league does nothing about it, and you disrespect um you're allowed to openly disrespect law enforcement, uh Colin with his pig socks, um, all of these things.
- 28:01SPEAKER_05: You are telling me very clearly that you do not want my business, my money, my support, any of those things.
- 28:07SPEAKER_05: And that's fine.
- 28:08SPEAKER_05: You know, we can part ways.
- 28:10SPEAKER_05: I'm not asking anybody else to to follow suit.
- 28:12SPEAKER_05: You do what you want to do.
- 28:13SPEAKER_05: But for me, it's a it's a hard no.
- 28:16SPEAKER_05: My point being, now you come to a fledgling uh league that is already struggling to just have relevance, and you have these two players that are putting a massive spotlight on on the sport and encouraging and empowering these young girls to follow in their footsteps, and you are going to let activism and ideology and BS destroy something that has the potential for incredible um positive impact.
- 28:51SPEAKER_05: And and it's so sad, it's so predictable, it's so ridiculous.
- 28:56SPEAKER_05: Um, it really is.
- 28:57SPEAKER_05: And and to have this this ridiculous line of um being pro-girl is being anti-trans is crap.
- 29:09SPEAKER_05: It's garbage.
- 29:10SPEAKER_05: You can care, right?
- 29:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, did you see Clay Travis, what Clay Travis has done?
- 29:15SPEAKER_05: I did not.
- 29:16SPEAKER_03: So um Clay Travis uh bleacher report, I think.
- 29:21SPEAKER_03: Um so he so first of all, there's been a bunch of the pendulum is swinging because there's been a bunch of people that have come out in support of what Sophie Cunningham said.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: One of them, Brian Erlacher, former Chicago Bear Hall of Famer, um, has said she's right, it's common sense.
- 29:37SPEAKER_03: The number one female tennis player in the world, uh, in a press conference, said the same thing.
- 29:44SPEAKER_03: Shouldn't be any trans athletes, right?
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: Um, and then of course you've got Clay Travis, who has done two things.
- 29:50SPEAKER_03: One, uh, the guy's a you know a bajillionaire, he's got a lot of money.
- 29:54SPEAKER_03: He has said that he wants to buy a WNBA franchise, uh, an expansion franchise, and he is going to field it with nothing but trans athletes.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: Nothing but the coaching staff, the all the players, all of that.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: And he and what he knows will happen is they're gonna destroy the league.
- 30:15SPEAKER_03: They're gonna beat everybody.
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: Um, so that's one thing.
- 30:19SPEAKER_03: And he's dead serious about it.
- 30:20SPEAKER_03: Like he's thrown it out there, but he's he is serious.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: The other thing he has done is he has offered the WNBA ten million dollars to bring the who is it, uh Las Vegas Aces, who won the WNBA championship.
- 30:36SPEAKER_03: I had to look it up because nobody knows.
- 30:38SPEAKER_03: Um I didn't know they won the championship last year, offering them ten million dollars to play a state champion boys high school team of his choosing.
- 30:50SPEAKER_05: Whoa, they won't take them up on that.
- 30:52SPEAKER_03: If the NBA, if the WNBA wins, then the team and the league get the$10 million.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: And if they lose, and the boys, the high the high school boys win, which is what'll happen, he is gonna take and distribute the money to charities and some other things.
- 31:06SPEAKER_03: So it's a win-win, truly.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 31:09SPEAKER_03: And you know that the WNBA loses regardless.
- 31:12SPEAKER_05: That's never gonna happen, right?
- 31:14SPEAKER_03: And there has been zero, and he's been super public about this, but there is zero response from the WNBA.
- 31:20SPEAKER_03: Nothing.
- 31:22SPEAKER_03: What a surprise.
- 31:23SPEAKER_03: They all know it's a sham.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: It's all activism, it's all garbage, it's a total joke.
- 31:29SPEAKER_03: Um, and Steve Sophie Cunningham knows it too.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: They can't I saw the other day, yesterday, the player the collective bargaining agreement between the players and the league, right?
- 31:43SPEAKER_03: The players union and the league is 409 pages, right?
- 31:47SPEAKER_03: Written by lawyers.
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: Okay, written by lawyers, defines absolutely everything.
- 31:53SPEAKER_03: Regular season, you know, postseason.
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: Um, it defies everything under the sun, except for the definition of a woman.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: It's not in there.
- 32:07SPEAKER_03: Surprise.
- 32:09SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 32:10SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 32:10SPEAKER_05: There's there you have it.
- 32:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 32:13SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 32:14SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's so, you know, it's just it's uh another one of those exhausting things.
- 32:20SPEAKER_05: And uh I'm I'm pleased to see, and this has been going on now for for a while, and it's building and building and building that people are just done.
- 32:28SPEAKER_05: They're completely done with playing along with this, um being bullied into silencing their own beliefs.
- 32:37SPEAKER_05: Um it's just it's done.
- 32:40SPEAKER_05: And they they haven't obviously they haven't fully gotten the memo yet, you know.
- 32:44SPEAKER_05: And I do hope at some point in our future, preferably our near future, but I don't see that happening, that you know, we come to this middle ground.
- 32:53SPEAKER_05: There's the word, my word of the week again, balance, this balance where you know you can you can say correctly and fairly and rightly that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and kindness and compassion and respect and all of those things.
- 33:11SPEAKER_05: And you can also say in the very same breath that boys, biological boys and men do not belong in women's sports and spaces.
- 33:22SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 33:22SPEAKER_05: Period.
- 33:23SPEAKER_05: That's not being mean, that's being honest, and that's being protective of women and girls.
- 33:29SPEAKER_05: And you know, if anyone doesn't see that and doesn't like it, it's just gonna simply become a you problem, not an everyone else problem, which is the way that it should be, you know.
- 33:42SPEAKER_05: And I love the idea, and this is stuff that's been floated around, you know, half joking, half serious, uh, regularly, that, you know, well, why don't you, you know, if you feel that transgender people aren't being allowed the opportunities to participate in sports, and and I get, I get that.
- 34:00SPEAKER_05: Let's be objective and let's be fair.
- 34:02SPEAKER_05: If you are a transgender person and you want to play a sport, pro level, I don't know, uh amateur level, uh high school level, whatever the case is, you want to play a sport, where do you go?
- 34:15SPEAKER_05: Who do you play for?
- 34:16SPEAKER_05: If you're a biological male and you play with women, it's unfair to the women.
- 34:22SPEAKER_05: If you're a biolog, I can't even, it's too confusing, but you know where I'm going with it.
- 34:26SPEAKER_05: It's just too many, too many variables there to figure out.
- 34:29SPEAKER_05: But all I know is everyone would be served better if there was an entire league for each sport for transgender men and women.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: I mean, or you can always play up.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: I saw somebody on social media with a great explanation.
- 34:49SPEAKER_03: You can all in every league everywhere, right?
- 34:52SPEAKER_03: In every sport, youth sport, amateur sport, you can always play up, right?
- 34:58SPEAKER_03: So, in other words, if you're a seventh grade kid, boy or girl, and you're an excellent basketball player, you can like maybe your school district allows you to play high school, even high school varsity if you're that good.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: What you can't be is a high school senior who plays at it down in the junior high, right?
- 35:17SPEAKER_03: It's right wrestling with weight classes.
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, if you're 105 pounds, you can wrestle all the way up to 200 pounds if you really want to.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: But if you're 200 pounds, you can't wrestle the 105, right?
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: You can't you can't go down, you can always go up.
- 35:33SPEAKER_03: Um so I I think the default, if they don't want to do a transgender or a asexual, non-binary, whatever the hell you want to call it.
- 35:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, whatever you want to call it.
- 35:45SPEAKER_05: Sure.
- 35:46SPEAKER_03: If they don't want to do just plain old co-ed, because that's really what it boils down to, then play, then play the men's division.
- 35:52SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 35:52SPEAKER_03: That's the default.
- 35:53SPEAKER_03: Play up, right?
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: And and if you can't, then you can't.
- 35:57SPEAKER_03: And then you can't.
- 35:58SPEAKER_03: You can't play down.
- 36:00SPEAKER_05: Listen, I want to be a ballerina, but I don't have the skill.
- 36:04SPEAKER_05: I am not in the age bracket, I am none of the things.
- 36:08SPEAKER_05: So, you know, should I just be allowed to join, you know, what is it, the new New York Ballet Company?
- 36:14SPEAKER_05: Shouldn't I be allowed to join that?
- 36:16SPEAKER_05: Because I want to.
- 36:18SPEAKER_05: I imagine myself.
- 36:20SPEAKER_05: I identify as a ballerina.
- 36:23SPEAKER_05: So shouldn't I get a fair chance?
- 36:26SPEAKER_05: You know, I mean, come on, we can go all we've gone all the routes with this.
- 36:30SPEAKER_05: We've heard all of the things.
- 36:31SPEAKER_05: That one just came right off the top.
- 36:33SPEAKER_05: I don't even actually want to be a ballerina, to be honest with you.
- 36:36SPEAKER_05: It was just using it as an example.
- 36:38SPEAKER_05: I I am graceless when it comes to dance, so not on my list of things, but you get the point.
- 36:45SPEAKER_05: Um, so yeah, uh I don't, I mean, I don't know what to say about it anymore.
- 36:50SPEAKER_05: Uh other than I I tr I really, really uh love Sophie.
- 36:56SPEAKER_05: You know, I don't like to throw the word hero around.
- 36:58SPEAKER_05: I know we're all very free with that word.
- 37:00SPEAKER_05: Um, but it was or brave, um, those kind of words.
- 37:04SPEAKER_05: But it it was, you know, given given the lane that she's in and what kind of impact that can have on her, I applaud her greatly for her very bravery and standing up for what she believes in.
- 37:16SPEAKER_05: Um, I simply wish, and and it's echoing you, Clay.
- 37:20SPEAKER_05: I simply wish um that politics and cultural beliefs um were kept out of sports, period.
- 37:30SPEAKER_05: And that includes the things that I agree with.
- 37:32SPEAKER_05: I I would like for you to just um do what you're paid to do, which is play your sport.
- 37:40SPEAKER_05: You know, play ball.
- 37:42SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 37:43SPEAKER_05: I mean, just play ball for heck's sake, and um, you know, and you can't blame the Sophie Cunninghams of the world or the uh Aaron, uh, what's his name?
- 37:51SPEAKER_05: Aaron Rodgers um yes, yes, the Aaron Rodgers and the, you know, who are and the Tim Tebows, and you know, don't get mad at them for for pushing back on all of this stuff.
- 38:04SPEAKER_05: Be mad at your Colin Kaepernick's and your NFL and your WNBA and all of these organizations for letting that Pandora's box be opened in the first place.
- 38:16SPEAKER_05: You should have put your foot down way back then because now what's good for the goose is good for the gander and is bad for all of us.
- 38:25SPEAKER_05: Like all we want is just for you to do your job.
- 38:27SPEAKER_05: That's it.
- 38:28SPEAKER_05: Whatever.
- 38:30SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 38:32SPEAKER_05: Next, next, uh, this one.
- 38:34SPEAKER_05: This was crazy.
- 38:35SPEAKER_05: This happened while I was uh still in Florida and I was only kind of like catching, you know, little bits and pieces of it.
- 38:41SPEAKER_05: So um, so if you don't know, a madman opened fire at an in and out in Idaho.
- 38:50SPEAKER_05: I've never been to an in and out.
- 38:51SPEAKER_05: I know this is a ridiculous side note to a serious story, but um, I've never been to one, have you?
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: Yes, California.
- 38:58SPEAKER_05: You have?
- 38:58SPEAKER_05: Okay, I've never been.
- 38:59SPEAKER_05: Uh someday maybe I will.
- 39:01SPEAKER_05: Anyhow, but before the whole national debate over, you know, gun control and all of that stuff gets started up, um, a here's that word again.
- 39:10SPEAKER_05: A hero stepped up and stepped in and um did did the thing that we need heroes to do.
- 39:19SPEAKER_05: And um, this is a little peek of that part of it.
- 39:23SPEAKER_05: Um, so this gentleman here, he'd been waiting his whole life for this.
- 39:33SPEAKER_05: So he's um he's returning fire as a video of a gentleman.
- 39:37SPEAKER_05: Do we know his name?
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that was one of the things that I was gonna bring up, and it goes with what you were saying earlier about the media.
- 39:44SPEAKER_03: So um the shooter, that the guy who opened fire is a 24-year-old lunatic named Chad Williams.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: They still don't have a motive uh for why he did this.
- 39:54SPEAKER_03: Um, but he opened fire at uh a brand new In N Out burger in Idaho.
- 40:00SPEAKER_03: Uh, and that man, along with an off-duty state trooper, uh jumped out and started returning fire.
- 40:10SPEAKER_03: So that guy is that guy named Jordan Salinas, who is a um truthfully, you know, there's a little thing going on in the 2A, the gun community, which I'm a member and and I watch a lot of things.
- 40:23SPEAKER_03: This this guy is in the crowd of people that would have been made fun of just a few weeks ago because he is a guy who listen, he goes to the range and he trains.
- 40:33SPEAKER_03: And when he trains, he trains with body armor on, he trains, you know, without it, he trains with his rifle, he trains with his pistol, you know, he trains all in all kinds of scenarios, and he does it himself.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: Like this is not a guy who you know necessarily goes to different classes, whatever, but he he does it and and he films himself and it's out there on the internet.
- 40:55SPEAKER_05: Um I've seen him, yeah.
- 40:57SPEAKER_03: He he jumped out, like you said, he was in line.
- 41:00SPEAKER_03: I think he had his wife with him, um, and jumped out with his pistol and and went after the guy.
- 41:05SPEAKER_03: And so what he did do, he didn't kill you know Chad Williams.
- 41:11SPEAKER_03: Chad Williams coward took the cowardly route and killed himself.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: But between the off-duty state trooper and Jordan Salinas, they stopped him from shooting at other people, is what they did by shooting at him, driving him away from the the the area far enough where he decided that this has gone bad enough and he's just gonna kill himself.
- 41:32SPEAKER_03: Um, so they they intervened, which is what we would all ask.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: It's a good guy with a gun.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: This is the argument.
- 41:39SPEAKER_03: This is exactly the argument.
- 41:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, absolutely.
- 41:43SPEAKER_05: And you know, uh this is always the thing, right?
- 41:47SPEAKER_05: You know, the the gun control freaks are gonna tell you that, you know, all guns should be banned and nobody should have a gun ever.
- 41:54SPEAKER_05: And because they live in, you know, they want utopia that doesn't exist.
- 41:58SPEAKER_05: The rest of us live in reality.
- 42:00SPEAKER_05: And we know that the the the bad guys and the monsters under the bed are real and they're not under the bed.
- 42:05SPEAKER_05: They're driving around looking for peep people to shoot at, and they're not gonna obey the laws.
- 42:11SPEAKER_05: All of your little gun laws and your restrictions and your bans and and you know, this is a safe space.
- 42:17SPEAKER_05: We don't have guns here, blah, blah, blah.
- 42:19SPEAKER_05: All of that is a neon sign for, you know, let me, being some deranged lunatic um with severe mental illness, um, let me go shoot up these people because they're defenseless.
- 42:32SPEAKER_05: Well, I am so grateful and and proud to not only uh be married to one, but also to be one who who has uh their their permit and uh would not give it up for anything in the world ever.
- 42:46SPEAKER_05: Pry it from my cold dead hands is how that goes, right?
- 42:53SPEAKER_03: Unfortunately, in all this, there were three people killed.
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: There were seven injured.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: Um, the three killed were uh a man named Dale Schultz, who's 66 from Salt Lake City, uh Christopher Claunch, who's 59 from Hagerman, Idaho, and talk about being in the wrong place.
- 43:12SPEAKER_03: A young lady named Ashley Garabay, uh, 23 from Stockton, California.
- 43:18SPEAKER_03: She was the um in and out employee.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: This is such a new in-and-out burger that she came from her in and out that she worked at in Stockton, California, to Idaho to train the employees at this new in and out burger.
- 43:36SPEAKER_03: She didn't work there.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: She worked for In N Out, she didn't even work there.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: Um, and she got caught in the crossfire uh tragically, that young lady killed by uh Chad Williams and uh and and so those are the three people who died in this incident.
- 43:51SPEAKER_03: Very, very sad.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: So still searching for a motive.
- 43:55SPEAKER_03: I know that I saw film footage where he was like shooting up a Tesla or two.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: In the parking lot.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: No one knows if it's a political statement of any kind.
- 44:04SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: Um, but you know, the guy's a lunatic.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: He is he is the lunatic, uh, or was appropriately so.
- 44:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I I you know, I I think what consistently happens, at least when it comes to the mainstream media or the alphabet media or whatever you want on a legacy media, we can give them all the names, but y'all know who I'm talking about.
- 44:24SPEAKER_05: Um, as soon as they take a look at the demographic, I don't know, of the uh of the shooter in each one of these cases or the attacker, however the attack goes, um, they they look at the background, you know, get whatever information they can, and as soon as it doesn't fit their preferred narrative, uh, it gets dropped, right?
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: So I guess it's all this is the preferred narrative, which is interesting.
- 44:51SPEAKER_03: So they focused a lot on the shooter because he's a white male, he's young, he used an AR-style rifle.
- 44:57SPEAKER_03: Like it hits all of the things that the anti-gun movement and the anti-gun media um want.
- 45:04SPEAKER_03: But to your point earlier about media coverage, I had to go through because now we're a few days separated from the incident, but I had to go through seven, I'm not kidding, seven articles before I found Jordan Salinas' name.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: The guy who interviewed.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: There was Good Samaritan, there was Armed Civilian, there was uh a lot of things, but his name was excluded from, in fact, and even mention of him in a couple of them, but um his name, it took me seven articles to find his name.
- 45:37SPEAKER_03: Example and awarded as a hero.
- 45:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 45:41SPEAKER_03: Uh and they they can't even put his name out there.
- 45:43SPEAKER_03: It's terrible.
- 45:45SPEAKER_05: Oh well, if they're uh they're they're nothing if not consistent, right?
- 45:50SPEAKER_05: Nothing if not consistent.
- 45:53SPEAKER_05: Um speaking of being consistent with their nonsense, right?
- 45:58SPEAKER_05: Uh New York tried to tell federal immigration officers what they could wear on the job, and Obama-appointed judge replied in judicial language, that's not actually your department.
- 46:10SPEAKER_05: Uh federal judge May D.
- 46:12SPEAKER_05: Agostino temporarily blocked portions of a New York law that prohibited federal immigration and other law enforcement officers from wearing masks and required visible identification.
- 46:24SPEAKER_05: She concluded that New York was likely interfering uh unlawfully with federal operations under the Constitution's supremacy clause and intergovernmental immunity principles.
- 46:36SPEAKER_05: She left in place New York's separate prohibition against local governments entering certain cooperative immigration enforcement agreements with ICE.
- 46:46SPEAKER_05: Um So listen, we already know where I'm where would I stand on this.
- 46:52SPEAKER_05: And and because right, I mean, listen, because they are um consistently being threatened and harassed with uh being doxxed and their families literally being threatened with being found and murdered by these people.
- 47:07SPEAKER_05: Um, this is a no-brainer.
- 47:09SPEAKER_05: This is a no-brainer that that this has to be allowed.
- 47:12SPEAKER_03: And constitutionally it's a no-brainer, and thankfully, this judge applied law what's going on.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: In other words, he looked at it and said, you know, that like you said, the supremacy clause.
- 47:24SPEAKER_03: In other words, states don't tell federal what they can and can't do.
- 47:29SPEAKER_03: Like, that's not how it works.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: But at the same time, you know, the second part of that was she said that ICE or that local slash state law enforcement are not obligated to comply or coordinate and support ICE operations.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: Like you don't you can't stop ICE from doing work, but you don't have to help them either, because that's the state's decision or local ordinance decision on whether or not they're gonna cooperate.
- 47:57SPEAKER_03: And that's okay, right?
- 47:59SPEAKER_03: You know, that's why that's why we have local elections, that's why we have state level elections.
- 48:03SPEAKER_03: If that's what you want to do in your state, those are states' rights.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: Do I agree with it?
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: No, but that's what the state of New York has decided, and she upheld that.
- 48:12SPEAKER_03: And that's cool, it's fine, that's the way it's supposed to work.
- 48:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:16SPEAKER_03: At the same time, New York doesn't get to tell federal law enforcement how to operate.
- 48:21SPEAKER_03: So I I think the judge got this a hundred percent right on both sides, whether I agree with it or not, but she definitely hit it the way that it's supposed to be done legally.
- 48:32SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 48:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 48:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, absolutely.
- 48:35SPEAKER_05: And listen, you know, I'm fair enough to to say, you know, if you are a law-abiding citizen, uh, uh a good person, I have no doubt that it's it's terrifying.
- 48:45SPEAKER_05: Listen, if I'm if I'm out on the street somewhere and a bunch of masked men with, you know, guns and looking big and scary um come storming down the street, my instinct is to be scared.
- 48:57SPEAKER_05: I get that.
- 48:58SPEAKER_05: It it's a frightening sight, it's an alarming sight.
- 49:01SPEAKER_05: Um, but at the same time, like listen, I I I'm sorry that that's a scary experience, but there are scary bad people out in the world, and it's their job to protect you from it.
- 49:13SPEAKER_05: So just hang tight.
- 49:14SPEAKER_05: You'll be okay.
- 49:16SPEAKER_05: Just get through it, get out of the way and get through it, and you'll be you'll be okay.
- 49:20SPEAKER_05: And uh yeah, it'll all work out.
- 49:23SPEAKER_05: Just, you know, don't don't be an idiot.
- 49:26SPEAKER_05: How about that?
- 49:27SPEAKER_05: Don't don't challenge them, you know, don't do stupid things and and stupid, you know, what is it?
- 49:32SPEAKER_05: Uh don't play stupid games and you won't win stupid prizes, right?
- 49:36SPEAKER_05: How about that?
- 49:37SPEAKER_05: Um, but yeah, that's that's kind of the extent of where my my compassion and understanding goes with that.
- 49:43SPEAKER_05: You know, again, I'm always I'm always gonna side on uh the the good men and women behind the badges.
- 49:50SPEAKER_05: Um, you know, obviously that excludes the the dirt bags that um you know break their oath or or don't do the right thing.
- 49:59SPEAKER_05: So it should be a given, but I'll say it for the I'll say it for the one guy in the comments section who's gotta say something stupid.
- 50:06SPEAKER_05: So um so this one, oh my gosh, Clay and I were of course just talking about this before um before we came on air.
- 50:16SPEAKER_05: Uh, because I threw it in.
- 50:17SPEAKER_05: This is the one that uh uh Clay let you know that I threw in last minute.
- 50:21SPEAKER_05: If you don't know what I'm talking about, how could you?
- 50:23SPEAKER_05: Because I haven't even told you yet.
- 50:25SPEAKER_05: Talking about uh celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
- 50:30SPEAKER_05: Um some of you may not know who he is, some of you will.
- 50:33SPEAKER_05: He um was a big um, I don't know, a celebrity, I guess, in his own right for what he his style and everything.
- 50:42SPEAKER_05: Um more so probably like in the I don't know, like early 2000s or so, probably.
- 50:49SPEAKER_05: Um, and his style was always actually pretty mean.
- 50:52SPEAKER_05: He's, you know, kind of like a celebrity gossiper and and kind of vicious and all of those things.
- 50:59SPEAKER_05: Um let me just tell you what happened first, and then I'll I'll give you a little bit more of his timeline.
- 51:06SPEAKER_05: So he was hospitalized after an apparent after apparently, it's not even apparently, it was live streamed, um, but he was engaging in self-harm during a TikTok live stream from his Miami area home.
- 51:21SPEAKER_05: I actually contest that a little bit.
- 51:23SPEAKER_05: I think there was another report that he was actually at an Airbnb.
- 51:26SPEAKER_05: I don't think it really matters much, but just for just for facts, facts.
- 51:30SPEAKER_05: Um, viewers, people who were watching this live stream were horrified and alarmed at what they were witnessing.
- 51:38SPEAKER_05: Uh, many of them were like in disbelief, thinking that this was maybe it wasn't real.
- 51:43SPEAKER_05: Um, because uh apparently I fortunately did not see it.
- 51:47SPEAKER_05: Uh, I saw a couple stills from it, which were horrific by by themselves.
- 51:52SPEAKER_05: Um, and I'm not sharing them here.
- 51:54SPEAKER_05: If you want to try and find them, you are more than welcome to it, but I'm not doing that to you guys.
- 51:59SPEAKER_05: Um, but anyhow, he uh had a a large knife and he was cutting himself um on this live stream.
- 52:07SPEAKER_05: He was covered head to toe in blood, he was completely naked.
- 52:11SPEAKER_05: This uh live stream went on for approximately 10 minutes before TikTok cut the stream, finally.
- 52:19SPEAKER_05: So 10 full minutes uh people were unwittingly being subjected to very, very traumatizing.
- 52:27SPEAKER_05: I I saw over and over again um people, of course, posting about it afterwards, saying that they just saw this live and they're still in shock and they're completely traumatized and they can't get the images out of their head.
- 52:40SPEAKER_05: Uh, all of those things.
- 52:41SPEAKER_05: So um, the last that I know as of this moment, it's been actually a couple hours since I've you know looked up anything on this.
- 52:50SPEAKER_05: Um, he apparently is still alive.
- 52:52SPEAKER_05: Um he was barricaded in his home or his wherever he was at for a period of time before they were able to get him out.
- 53:00SPEAKER_05: And he is, to the best of my understanding, he is hospitalized and getting care and treatment.
- 53:07SPEAKER_05: No word as to what happened, like what triggered this, what was going on.
- 53:13SPEAKER_05: Uh I I'm aware that uh that same day he was posting on social media earlier in the day, nothing out of the ordinary from his normal posts, uh, what he usually does.
- 53:25SPEAKER_05: Um, so this appears to have come completely out of the blue, and and people are calling it a psychotic break.
- 53:31SPEAKER_05: Obviously, we're we're not um part of this whole thing, so we don't really know what happened.
- 53:36SPEAKER_05: Um, but that's that's the phrase that's being you know thrown around pretty freely that this was like a psychotic break that he apparently had.
- 53:43SPEAKER_05: Um so here's a little backstory.
- 53:45SPEAKER_05: So I told you a little bit that he um has been a celebrity blogger.
- 53:50SPEAKER_05: That's been his shtick uh all along.
- 53:52SPEAKER_05: He's made a living off of that.
- 53:54SPEAKER_05: Um, not a very well-liked guy because of his style and the things that he would say about people.
- 54:01SPEAKER_05: Um then at some point he kind of started softening his delivery um in the things that he was saying.
- 54:09SPEAKER_05: And then just recently, now within the past six months, this guy uh had a major medical crisis.
- 54:16SPEAKER_05: Um, he actually went into sepsis and was hospitalized for like three weeks.
- 54:21SPEAKER_05: When he came out of the hospital, he went on um social media and said that he had not an epiphany, but uh a vision.
- 54:33SPEAKER_05: He says that he saw God, Jesus.
- 54:37SPEAKER_05: He saw Jesus.
- 54:38SPEAKER_05: Jesus came to him in his hospital room, and it was and this vision caused him to repent, to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
- 54:49SPEAKER_05: Uh all of these things.
- 54:51SPEAKER_05: So he did this in incredible like turnaround um and was talking about his spiritual journey, all these great things.
- 55:01SPEAKER_05: Now, people who are in the like Christian community, of course, are saying this is spiritual warfare.
- 55:06SPEAKER_05: Um, and he was at, you know, this was like a demonic attack on him because he was um, you know, changing his ways and and turning to Jesus.
- 55:16SPEAKER_05: Uh, people who are not of that mindset are just saying that he's bonkers and that's that, you know, uh like you know, you you you call it whatever you want to call it because it's gonna be whatever it's gonna be.
- 55:29SPEAKER_05: Um, I don't exactly have an opinion yet on any of that.
- 55:33SPEAKER_05: What I do, now after giving you all of that, what I do really want to talk about is the whole, like the fact that this was live broadcast.
- 55:43SPEAKER_05: And, you know, and this of course they're completely unrelated, but it makes me think right away of Charlie Kirk's murder.
- 55:51SPEAKER_05: Um, that, you know, this was something that so many of us witnessed, um, not necessarily live unless people were like live streaming it, but immediately after it was all over social media.
- 56:04SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna tell you right off the bat, I don't have an answer.
- 56:07SPEAKER_05: I don't know how you fix this.
- 56:10SPEAKER_05: There are things that we should not see as a general population.
- 56:16SPEAKER_05: There are people who are better equipped to handle these things, but the general population really is not.
- 56:21SPEAKER_05: So, one of two things is gonna happen.
- 56:23SPEAKER_05: You are gonna be so traumatized and have such PTSD from it, or you're gonna be so desensitized to real horrors.
- 56:31SPEAKER_05: And I think that is a real consistent problem that we have.
- 56:34SPEAKER_05: People are so desensitized to the human condition.
- 56:37SPEAKER_05: I mean, we could go on for hours about that.
- 56:40SPEAKER_05: Um, but I don't know, Clay.
- 56:42SPEAKER_05: Do you I mean what do we do here?
- 56:45SPEAKER_05: Like how you get into this lane of like they have all these bots, right?
- 56:52SPEAKER_05: The these social media platforms, like TikTok specifically, you know, so much of that stuff is done by bots.
- 56:57SPEAKER_05: So if the the bot, the system, um I don't know, if they hear some kind of like trigger word in your live or something triggers it, the it'll automatically get cut.
- 57:07SPEAKER_05: You know, I don't know how his didn't get cut for 10 full minutes of people like, you know, but they have keywords and trigger and things that are supposed to be kind of like breaks in the system.
- 57:20SPEAKER_05: Um, but the argument against that is like, you know, sometimes the bot gets it wrong because it's not a real person, obviously.
- 57:27SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 57:28SPEAKER_05: I mean, what is there even a solution?
- 57:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think first things first, everybody who is like, oh, I sat there and I watched the whole thing and I'm traumatized, it's like, well, turn it off.
- 57:38SPEAKER_03: Turn it off.
- 57:38SPEAKER_03: Step on the right.
- 57:39SPEAKER_03: Step one.
- 57:40SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 57:40SPEAKER_03: Step one off.
- 57:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Um, but it in the the algorithm sense, listen, computers do, although AI is changing the dynamic a little bit, computers do what they're told to do.
- 57:51SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 57:51SPEAKER_03: So when the algorithm does that, um you know, you're probably right.
- 57:58SPEAKER_03: It was probably like my guess is like uh somebody with a low-end platform, a couple of hundred or a couple of thousand followers.
- 58:07SPEAKER_03: If you said some of the things that he said, you'd get cut out because you're you're not of value.
- 58:12SPEAKER_03: But when you're somebody like him who has probably millions of followers, yeah, like there's probably a lot more leeway allowed in there, um, in which case it didn't cut off, it didn't hit any of the triggers it should have hit to have him cut off.
- 58:26SPEAKER_03: Um, this is uh I knew of the headline.
- 58:29SPEAKER_03: You and I talked about this right before the show.
- 58:31SPEAKER_03: Um, I knew of the headline, I didn't know really of any of the details or the past history or anything that led up to it.
- 58:38SPEAKER_03: So, you know, it's um it's a challenge.
- 58:43SPEAKER_03: Like there are the live streams are the danger, right?
- 58:46SPEAKER_03: Content that's being posted has tons of filters.
- 58:49SPEAKER_03: You and I both generate content.
- 58:51SPEAKER_03: We both know that it goes through a lot of scanning and and all of those things before it gets posted.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: It's the live stuff where things like this happen that are you know that become challenging.
- 59:03SPEAKER_03: So yeah, somebody much smarter than the two of us put together with computer skills is probably gonna have to be the person that does some my guesses, some image um identification.
- 59:15SPEAKER_03: So it can't just be keywords, it's gonna have to be images, and so the images are now gonna have to be the generator of the cutoff, sure, or images in concert with words or something like that.
- 59:28SPEAKER_03: But I can promise you this the social media world and the platforms will learn from this, yeah, and they will adjust.
- 59:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, they're gonna have to because um, you know, there's and not that they should be, but there's a lot of young people on these platforms, you know.
- 59:45SPEAKER_05: I mean, we know that that's the case, and and there's no real guardrails for that, of course.
- 59:50SPEAKER_05: And this is not the first incident of something like this happening on a live where somebody has either been murdered or somebody is self-harmed or um, you know, any type of violence or inappropriate uh pornographic um, you know, images and stuff like that.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_05: And they, you know, somehow they're getting past and they're getting through and they're and they're being allowed to stay up for long periods of time.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_05: And then of course people are screen recording it and saving it and then sharing it and doing all, you know, I mean, there's a whole thing about that, you know, that people are doing that.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_05: So um, yeah, I agree with you, you know, something, you know, with these live streams that needs to be there's gotta be some kind of breaks.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_05: I don't know, shouldn't there be maybe like a uh television stuff, like uh the seven-second delay.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_05: How about a seven-second delay?
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_05: Maybe even a little bit longer, a ten-second delay.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_03: On any of the lives, I'm sure there probably should be.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_05: Maybe that's the solution.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_05: Maybe we just came up with it.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_05: I don't know, but um, I just I just know that it's uh tragic and appalling.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_05: Um the irony of of uh his content um for years and years, and that he made a living off of basically humiliating, you know, people's most like embarrassing, humiliating moments.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_05: Um, and uh the irony of his you know most horrific moment being on live streamed is is pretty wild in itself.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_05: Regardless, he does have small children.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_05: Uh I know he's a father of either two or three small children.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_05: Um so uh our my my prayers uh go out to them and and to him, you know, for for recovery and and uh his mental health and my goodness.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_05: So yeah, so that's that.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_05: And uh, you know, I apologize if you could care less about whoever Perez Hilton is and you have no idea, uh, but he is a he is a public figure.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_05: Uh this was a very public uh event that you know a lot of people were were witness to in one way or another.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_05: So yeah, so that was that.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_05: Um let's move on.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_05: We we've got very little time left, but I do want to touch on these because they're um they're pretty wild.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_05: The coalition that shouldn't work.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_05: Go ahead, Clay.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, there's a weird and so there were some Democratic, there were some primaries last night, and and they, you know, are are revealing some alliances within the Democratic Party, but also some fractures at the same time.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_03: So what you've got are what is on the rise is the not just communist socialists, you know, the DSA, right, the Democratic Socialists of America, but this alliance they have with uh radical Islamists, right?
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_03: So they're they're all on the far left fringe.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: So you've got the momdanis and the Bernie Sanders, um, and then you know they're in conflict with the mainstream Democratic Party.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: So, like you had Sri Thanadar, that really weird looking, the guy looks like a ventriloquist doll.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that guy lost his seat uh in the primary, so he he's uh you know a dead duck, uh lame duck for the the last few months of his term.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: He lost to a socialist.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_03: So while he was a minority millionaire, super left liberal, he lost to a socialist in the primary.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_03: But then you've also got El Sayed uh won the primary for the Senate seat against a white female in Michigan who was the incumbent, right?
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_03: She had the seat.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_03: He's the guy.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_03: El Sayed is the like the US um deserved 9-11.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_03: Like this guy is a radical Israel.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_05: It's a whole video of that whole interaction, yeah.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_03: Um, and then you've got Corey Bush, who was part of the squad, lost yet again to a guy named Bell, who is, you know, this is in in Missouri, who is a mainstream dem.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_03: Um, so the the Islamist communist socialist uh alliances counter to the straight liberal dems um inside the party, and then you've got the idiot Chuck Schumer who's like, we're just a big tent party party.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_03: Like everybody's under the tent, and no, it's not, Chuck.
- 1:04:09unknown: Right?
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_03: No, this is not it.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_03: Dumb old fool.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_03: And it just proves that power is what matters, right?
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and really what he's gonna end up doing is he's gonna he is going to sacrifice his party, the Democratic Party, for these alliances, and it's all gonna crumble.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_03: But right now, we are watching in real time as the Democratic Party breaks apart.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_03: And listen, folks, inside the Republican Party, there's challenges too, right?
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_03: You've got the centrists versus not versus, but uh, you know, in opposition a little bit with the MAGA crowd, pro-Trump, anti-Trump, you know, you've got rhinos and all these other things.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_03: So the fractures are there, but what you've got inside the Democratic Party is hardline ideological fractures, right?
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_03: Um, which truthfully, in some cases, are anti-American.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_03: They're anti-capitalist, they're anti, you know, um constitutional, they're like everything that the United States stands for.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_03: So we're watching that happen in real time.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_03: So we got to really keep track of this all the way through November when the elections actually happen and we see when these radical dems are put up against Republicans in some of these uh primary race, in some of these races.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_05: And I'm, you know, uh, as much as I would love for our party to not be uh fractured um the the way that it is, that I actually also take comfort in that too, that we don't just all fall in lockstep and you know recite the same talking points and and everything.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_05: Um, however, having said that, you know, I would like to see some kind of um, you know, collectivism here, for lack of a better word, in uh understanding that we have to do what we have to do to defeat them, you know, because that is their strong point all every single time over us.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_05: They may have their their own fractures.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_05: For sure, but they sure as heck come together when it's time to, you know, put their put their party forward and and do what they have to do.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_05: So we need to be um much better.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_05: We need to, we said this a while back.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_05: We need to take a page out of Spencer Pratt's book in um, you know, self-marketing and really be super, super aggressive with winning people over.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_05: Um, because let's let's face it, I think we can all understand why and how like young people are angry about you know rent and groceries and uh expenses and gas money.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_05: And I I get it, you know, and you have these people who are trying to figure out how they're gonna make a living and how they're gonna, you know, survive and make money.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_05: And of course, you you've got all of these, you know, scumbags, for lack of a better word.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_05: That is a good word for it, um, whispering, not whispering very loudly in their ears, telling them like that's not fair, you know, it's not fair that you don't have this and you can't have that.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_05: You should get it for free.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_05: You know, it should be yours.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_05: You have these people telling them that.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_05: So they're what what else are they gonna do?
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_05: Because we're not we're clearly not offering them something better as far as they believe in their minds, you know.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_05: They don't so we have to do better to show them and explain to them that um what we're offering is better, you know.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_05: It may not be immediately uh better, you're not gonna get that free cell phone or that free this or that or whatever the case is.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_05: Um, but you're going to have actual freedom uh, you know, for life if you choose wisely.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_05: So um, yeah, best way to sum it up is exactly what you said.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_05: Just uh keep paying very, very close attention.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_03: Because your alternative is Cuba.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_05: Cuba is I mean, talk about a perfect segue, Clay.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_05: That was so good.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_05: That was so slick.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_03: So Communist Cuba, right?
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah where um Elsa's family, right?
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_03: Family from there.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_03: Um, they're in their sixth blackout of the year.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_03: And when we say blackout, this is not the power went out in your neighborhood because a tree branch hit a power pole or a transformer went out.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_03: These are national blackouts, right?
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_03: Um, and it's the sixth one this year.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_03: So what you've got is state-owned electrical power.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_03: Um and their problem is it's so antiquated because they have no money that it runs off of petroleum products, it runs off of oil.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_03: Uh, and when you are aligned with Venezuela, and that's where you get your oil from, and then Venezuela can't send you oil anymore, then you have a problem.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_03: Um, so communist Cuba is it's in it's it is in its call, it the death throes of Cuba, right?
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_03: This is the culmination of communist Cuba.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_03: We're seeing it in real time, and you know what?
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_03: All of these people who continue to elect communists and socialists will not acknowledge that this is the end state of every communist and socialist uh country in the world.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_03: But that's what's going on in Cuba right now, folks.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_03: Nobody's power and it is just wrecking people.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_05: It's just awful.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_05: And you know, as as you said, uh, you know, my family, uh half of my family is from Cuba.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_05: They fled this to come here for a better life, like pretty much every single other legal and illegal immigrant.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_05: Um, everybody comes here because they know that it is better.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_05: And these people want to convince you that this place is so terrible.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_05: Uh there nobody's flocking to Cuba.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_05: Nobody's running to, you know, any of these other places.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_05: So let's be real.
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_05: Let's not buy into that crock of you know what.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, you know, socialism isn't um, you know, it isn't what these little latte drinking, soy latte drinking soy boys are are talking about over their Starbucks.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_05: You know, it is not that at all.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_05: And if they want to see what it really is, take a look at Cuba, take a look at Venezuela, take a look at any one of these places throughout history and right this minute, and you will come to understand very quickly your democratic socialism.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_05: It's uh you could put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_05: I mean, that's all I could tell you, right?
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_05: So yeah.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_03: Last one, real quick.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_05: Last one, let's do it.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_03: So it's the thing we've been talking about for I think we're on three months now.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_03: Maybe I think we are four.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_03: And it's still going on.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_03: Secretary Heggs just went in front of Congress and said, hey, um, all this money that we spent on rockets and missiles and bombs and all these other things.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_03: Um, we need that money back to replenish, but we need more money, and that's not even part of the$1.5 trillion defense spending uh defense bill that he has requested.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_03: So he asked for, I think specifically, he needed a supplemental, which you had up there was$88 billion, but I think$70 billion of that goes to Iran, either current operations or replenishing what's been expended uh in the in the operations thus far.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_03: So I think we're at a$70 billion tally at the moment for Iran.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_03: And Congress's only question is okay, how does this end?
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_03: And he he can't answer the question.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_03: He keeps going back to, well, Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon and they'll never have a nuclear weapon.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's great.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_03: How do we stop bombing Iran?
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_03: How do we get them to the table?
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_03: How do we get them to stay, you know, all of those things?
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_03: Um, and oh, by the way, how do we get the Strait of Hormoes back open and we get gas prices back down?
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_03: Is the next question?
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_03: So, and he can't answer any of them.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_03: So these are the same things that you and I have been talking about for weeks and months on end is that there is no planned end to this.
- 1:12:17SPEAKER_05: And this is what we've been saying all along, right from the get-go.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_05: Like, what's the plan?
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_05: What's the plan?
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_05: What's the end game?
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_05: How do we close this chapter?
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_05: And you know, the answer has always been kind of the same thing.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_05: Like, with these people, you can't.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_05: Like, you can't.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_05: Not with there's there is only one actual way out of this, and it's the way that of course nobody actually wants, you know, which I and what I'm saying obviously is just bomb them all to hell.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_05: Um, it it that's not gonna happen.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_05: I don't expect, you know, maybe I'm wrong.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_03: Or boots on the ground, and we don't want people to be there.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_05: And we don't want that.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_05: We don't want that.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_05: None of us have ever wanted it, and it there's obviously already a large number of people, growing number of people, conservatives, who are very, very angry about this, and you can understand why.
- 1:13:09SPEAKER_05: You know, the the promise made um is not the promise kept.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_05: And you know, I I'm objective about it, I think.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_05: Um you know, I'm not naive about Iran.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_05: I I understand fully that this is uh a uh regime that is hellbent on death to Americans, America.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_05: Um, you know, so I I do believe that something has to be done and continuously done.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_05: I I just don't like I just don't like our options.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_05: I just don't like them.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_05: That's all.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:13:45SPEAKER_05: Um well what I do like is that this was uh another great show, another great uh evening full of really big conversations about all the things that are going on in the world.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_05: And as always, we uh highly, highly encourage and hope that you will join in in the conversation in the comments.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_05: Uh, we love hearing from you and hearing your perspective, uh especially when you agree with us 100%.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_05: That's my favorite.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_05: Uh, we also uh our other favorite is is when you like, share, subscribe, follow, tell a friend all of the things about our show.
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_05: Um, Clay, you go ahead and give him those uh final writes.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_05: That's waffle.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_05: Sorry.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_03: Hey folks, so this is like three years for Elsa and I.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_03: I think we were talking about it right before the show, August uh three years ago.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_03: We started doing this on the regular.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_03: And so uh this is awesome for us, and we appreciate all of you that have been along, whether it's one episode or three years worth of episodes.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_03: We appreciate you guys uh tuning in every week, listening, tagging along, providing comments and feedback.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_03: Um, Elsa and I can have these conversations on our own every week, but uh we prefer to do it with you guys.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_03: So uh that's why we keep doing this, and we will keep doing this until somebody tells us to stop.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_03: So that's right.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_05: And we probably won't listen if they do.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_05: Probably not.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_03: So uh, as always for me, uh, we'll see you next week and uh keep moving, keep shooting.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_02: Take care, guys.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_02: The headlines will change by tomorrow, but the patterns won't.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_02: Thanks for spending this time with us.
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_02: We'll be back to keep asking the harder questions and telling the quieter truths.
- 1:15:23SPEAKER_02: Until then, stay grounded, be discerning, and we'll see you next time.
