- 0:33Speaker 1: Tomorrow We'll probably have our predictions.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We're going to talk about all the games from this past weekend NFL College.
- 0:41Speaker 1: See what's going on.
- 0:45Speaker 1: What are the big, what are some surprises?
- 0:49Speaker 2: I know my surprise.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it was yours.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Double flip Niners.
- 0:56Speaker 2: No man, I knew that was happening.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It was at the college level.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: The Ramblin wreck.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, again, north Carolina.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, what, what man.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I guess that defense is now back in Georgia Tech.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Man you ranked.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You're ranked.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Watch out, yeah, 0 and 4 or own five against teams that aren't ranked in the ACC.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Four and O against ranked teams.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Glad we don't play him.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 2: But if you're North Carolina season, pretty much down the toilet.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Got a chance at 10.
- 1:34Speaker 1: The ACC is wide open for that second spot.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Lord of Stake can wrap up a spot in Charlotte with a win this Saturday at Pitt.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Louisville plays Virginia Tech this this coming week.
- 1:47Speaker 1: That'll be a big game.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We're going to look ahead to all those games later in the week.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Kansas upset Oklahoma that was the upset.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Washington look sluggish again at Stanford.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I thought Oklahoma, kansas, that should have been the upset alert from old Herb Street.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I mean that you know, just even on paper looked like it was a potentialism.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Some high jinks man.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Well, Texas looked OK with the quarterback out.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was right about Oregon statement game and they took care of Utah on the road and kind of showed that they they are the best team in the Pac-12 regard.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I think, even though they lost to Washington, you kind of see Washington starting to slip up a little bit.
- 2:38Speaker 1: If they get a rematch I think Oregon has a good shot if they went out.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah that, that conference is just eating each other, though.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And the outdoor cocktail party.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You picked Florida to win.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That was really dumb of you.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Florida came out scored first and that was about it, as George has dominated the rest, the first three quarters, I mean they got it just an absolute John Stockton like assist from Billy Napier, though early on in the first quarter.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You talking about the decision to go for it?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I agree.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The dumbest things I've ever seen.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I agree.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And Norvelle did something not as egregious.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I mean, even though the situations were similar, you're holding the point, but it matters where you're playing that game and who you're playing.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You're playing the top ring dogs in the cocktail party.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Right, the number one, where you had the ball.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you're down three points, right Dude?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Oh man, all right.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And his explanation was even worse.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Right, that game was over at half 26, seven.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was over, and as soon as they put that touchdown in after they didn't get it right.
- 3:50Speaker 1: The explanation was worse.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He was saying that he had a number of points that they knew they had to score.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Well, that's not the best way to go about doing it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: What about points you're going to give up when you don't get this?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 2: But yeah just coach speak man.
- 4:05Speaker 2: They did, they got.
- 4:06Speaker 2: They got pushed around Georgia.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Looks like they're going to be that number one, no question.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, florida State was taking on the Deeks and a team that has given FSU problems.
- 4:20Speaker 1: In the beginning Florida State looked a little sluggish, even on the first drive that they scored a touchdown but they weren't yeah, they weren't sharp.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But other than that, though, the defense played sound, they gave up a big run.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That seems to be.
- 4:37Speaker 2: That was yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You know you had 128 yards rushing for Wake Forest.
- 4:41Speaker 1: You know that seems to be it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know you get 51 of it off of quarterbacks aren't doing anything.
- 4:49Speaker 1: No, no, mitch Griffiths.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Six to 16.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That's three for 82 yards.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Three games in a row now where the starting quarterback has been held under 100 yards passing.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Right, that's the side of it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yes, you've had, you've allowed some rushing yards, but that's three games in a row.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You haven't had the quarterback throw for over a hundred.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That's huge.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Like we said, with the reaction show man it's secondary.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's kind of big More about the yards per carry with Wake Forest 2.6.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I mean a hundred yards, great, but they carried it 50 times.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And you know, trey Benson didn't.
- 5:22Speaker 1: He had four catches, a hundred yards in a touchdown.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He can do it From anywhere on the field.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Ten carries as well, for 55 yards in a touchdown.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Jordan Travis had seven carries again and he just opens up the offense.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Another touchdown for him as well be the longest receiving touchdown by a running back in the program history.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Maybe not.
- 5:45Speaker 2: There might be a one longer.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It was 80 yards.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I know Dalvin had one that was 69.
- 5:51Speaker 1: That's what you want to see when you're short-handed on the receiving end with George Johnny Wilson out, and so you want to see that they get the ball of the playmakers.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just, and he just focused on that one play and that the fact that that guy is 230 pounds out there in space Breaking tackles and then accelerating like he did, to just outrun everybody that that was elite stuff, right here.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Your linebackers, bethune and Deloach, continue to Be the tacklers both they had nine for Bethune, eight tackles for Deloach.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Both of them had four solo tackles.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Both had tackles for loss.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That's a.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That's a big reason why the yards per carry was so low for Wake Forest.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That big run that they hit and blocked it Well, you could see it right as it developed.
- 6:41Speaker 2: You know, they just they blocked it really well and each prung it man.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And when you punt the ball it doesn't go for a score exactly you give.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You give Conrad Hussie a chance to.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I think they might have won it down.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they scored but, again.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You know it, you live ranked 12th and red zone defense in the nation and fifth and offense in the nation.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's huge.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, really yeah that's so big because if you're gonna Feel position matters, give up big play, be able to hold them down and get hold of field goals.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's huge.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and, and defense does that well they've taken heat this season, that the team overall with not looking, you know, not looking clean and crisp and playing, but it's, I Mean you just look at the numbers, man, it's, you got to look at all four quarters of the game.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, the covers spread again yep.
- 7:34Speaker 2: There's dicey there for a minute.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you know it should have.
- 7:37Speaker 2: There should have been another touchdown on the board, man, I felt bad, for there was some bad.
- 7:42Speaker 1: There was some question will put calls by the refs.
- 7:45Speaker 1: They didn't call it both ways at all.
- 7:48Speaker 1: They Seem to be really ticky tack, just personal fouls and necessary, necessary roughness, unnecessary roughness against Florida State.
- 7:56Speaker 1: But I mean, jordan Travis was clearly horse collar and they didn't throw flight there, so that's a little.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And you you, we talked about that, you knew that was coming.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, just be able to do that and just keep keep fighting.
- 8:10Speaker 1: They answered every, every time.
- 8:14Speaker 2: That's it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: You know, wake forest, they worked, they work.
- 8:17Speaker 1: The officials clauson knows what he's doing at home, especially so that's second quarter, though, for FSU is one of the best that we've seen them all season.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's right up there with the third quarter and the initial game against LSU, but overall I thought it was a well played game.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It was definitely the best road performance the team has put together.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah and you'd like to see that you got another one next week.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Against a team they got just cute.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Against Notre Dame they got some.
- 8:49Speaker 2: They got some things going on up there in Pittsburgh with that program.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I don't know if you saw Pat Narduzzi's comments after that game against Notre Dame.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I did.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But what?
- 8:59Speaker 1: Go ahead and tell us about him.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I think what was it?
- 9:01Speaker 2: He said we lost a lot of great players, you know from last season.
- 9:06Speaker 2: We thought we would replace them.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Obviously we didn't do a good enough job.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so as soon as that hit the Twitter X machine, out there in the internet land a lot of pit football players sort of chimed in several starters and Various phrases and terminology, kind of expressing their disbelief and disappointment with the head coach.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So that's definitely something to monitor.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I mean, you're talking about a team that's already they're two and six.
- 9:40Speaker 2: They got problems at quarterback.
- 9:42Speaker 2: They can't really stop anybody, whether it's effort or just talent.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they got some issues going on.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Even without it, florida State should be able to go up here and take care of business.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Well, you know, that was a really good performance for Jordan Travis.
- 10:03Speaker 1: He needed the stats.
- 10:05Speaker 1: He got those stats.
- 10:07Speaker 1: He was over 300 yards, passing 22, 35, 359 yards, three touchdowns, zero picks.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I mean he also had another rushing touchdown.
- 10:17Speaker 2: These are the kind of it's always nice when you can throw touchdown passes that are like five yard tosses and let the other guy do.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But that one Coleman.
- 10:25Speaker 1: He just was perfect Right on the shack shoulder, turn around, boom that was right there.
- 10:29Speaker 1: One handle helps to have him, but that was a great throw.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and dare I say, man, I don't knock on wood, but they seem to kind of be developing a little bit more.
- 10:40Speaker 2: You know, synchronicity, cohesion out there, that makes sense.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It's the first season, yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 1: And that's the upside.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I guess you know the downside.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You never want to lose a guy about Johnny Wilson, but you have.
- 10:53Speaker 1: This is your clear number one target now.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Young Coleman is.
- 10:58Speaker 2: And I think there was enough there with the other receivers stepping up that I you know.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Do Spann had another good kickoff return.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he did.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Kentron had a couple of nice catches.
- 11:09Speaker 1: One of them should have been a touchdown, that's right.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I feel bad man.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He would have been on top 10 on Sports Center.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That would have helped.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That was a good catch.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So you know, like you said, man, it's about as dominant win as they've had on the road in a while.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Jaheem Bell.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Another solid game for Bell Four catches, 51 yards.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Blocks his tail off man.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Right Moorlock had two big catches for 45 yards and he's blocking two.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah Well, you know, the knock that the whole South Carolina take on Jaheem is that he'll get lazy, won't block if he's kind of held in check in the passing game.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I haven't seen any of that up to this point.
- 11:44Speaker 2: No, not here.
- 11:45Speaker 2: No.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I think he's realized what he can.
- 11:50Speaker 1: His best asset is being versatile, being multiple.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 1: You know, look at a guy like Shanahan or something going back to the Niners.
- 12:01Speaker 2: They could as much as the middle of the field is the key in the NFL.
- 12:03Speaker 2: If you can get guys that are mismatches you have, you've got a shot at playing.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Perti, let me down.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Perti, let me down.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Let's go back to the NFL.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Go back to college.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We're going to jump back.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Well, let's, let's, yeah, let's get to the end.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Let's get to Brock.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we had.
- 12:19Speaker 1: The Niners have lost three straight now.
- 12:21Speaker 2: They have.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm going to.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about Brock first.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I don't think he should have been playing.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Mm hmm, I thought they were going to go with the backup with Donald.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he cleared protocol late in the week.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It's just always just man I even.
- 12:36Speaker 2: If he does, let's just sit him for a game.
- 12:39Speaker 1: One of the turnovers is right there at the goal line, and it was a pretty damn hell of a play by the defend it was.
- 12:45Speaker 2: But if you go back and watch the replay, that passes not going anywhere near.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Okay, kyle juice, check, it's not going anywhere near him, it's going into the belly of a linebacker.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So essentially two guys would have had a shot at it for the Bengals.
- 12:57Speaker 2: But you know Brock's kind of?
- 13:00Speaker 2: He's kind of looking like he did it Ohio State now or he can look really good, I was state Iowa State.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, excuse me, some of those interceptions are just killers, man Killers really are, but the 49ers.
- 13:12Speaker 2: you turn the ball over and the reason they've lost three straight is because they don't have the same defense.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's not the same pass rush.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Whatever, steve Wilkes is running with the zone.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Bengals are hot too and, yeah, burrows getting better and they have that one of the best combos in the league.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you expect to lose to Cincinnati, but Minnesota did the same thing to them.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Kirk Cousins did the same thing.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Turnovers, they will lose it.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 2: But you know, by week maybe they get better, maybe not.
- 13:39Speaker 2: But it's a battle for the division, for them, man.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Seattle is number one in that division.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm telling you.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Seahawks keep winning.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It's you know, kyle, kyle Shanahan want that number one the chiefs lost to the Dagum Broncos.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Everybody saw that coming.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody saw that coming.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Panthers got to win.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Panthers got to win their first win of the season.
- 14:01Speaker 1: It's the NFL, you know.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You never know.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The Chargers actually won a game.
- 14:06Speaker 2: They should have dominated the Bears Right Bears, Bears man.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Well, you know that puts a in the Jaguars right here in North Florida.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, going on the road and beat the Steelers.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, quietly.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Watch out Sneaky.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Underrated team Sneaky tied for first place with six and two Now.
- 14:25Speaker 1: next week the Dolphins play the chiefs in Sunday morning in Germany.
- 14:30Speaker 1: That would be a huge game.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the Jags just All right.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Good, good NFL and coffee.
- 14:37Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll be.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get up for that.
- 14:39Speaker 1: But the NFL is getting interesting.
- 14:43Speaker 1: The AFC.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Tell you what.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Miami, Kansas City and Jacksonville.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I was just about to bring up Jalen Ramsey.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Jalen Ramsey came back at a pick.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It's a different team when they're really is if they can get Howard back.
- 14:58Speaker 1: They're a different team at home.
- 15:00Speaker 2: My Super Bowl predictions.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'm standing pat with it the Eagles, eagles, eagles, dolphins.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I mean, sam Howell looked great, he really did.
- 15:08Speaker 1: He looked really good.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I mean the QB man yeah, the command.
- 15:12Speaker 1: The commanders always give the Eagles a tough game, but it was just like the first game.
- 15:16Speaker 1: The Eagles outlasted him and beat him and the big surprise, I guess, was the Kansas City.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean, who sees that coming, you know, mm-hmm?
- 15:28Speaker 2: Well, you know what?
- 15:31Speaker 1: They just don't have the weapons.
- 15:34Speaker 2: There's no wide receivers.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Right, they have Kelsey.
- 15:37Speaker 2: You hold Kelsey in check and then you know, if you can score points, you'll outscore them.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And Mahomes was a little turnover prone.
- 15:43Speaker 2: And he is Like that's the thing, it's like he's really, he's obviously, he's great man, you know, and but he'll throw multiple picks in a game.
- 15:51Speaker 2: You know, you, you, you run them, you pressure them.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Cowboys look good.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Yeah, super Bowl pick.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I think the Rams are going to kind of fall apart here.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and the McDivay is going to take the TV job.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, You'll see man who Chargers of the Rams.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Who's Lincoln Riley going to coach?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Well, I don't know.
- 16:13Speaker 2: They're going to be USC.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Tell you that right now.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah Well, any, let's go back to college.
- 16:20Speaker 1: More surprises other than North Carolina losing to Georgia Tech.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Oh, surprises.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I was surprised that Miami did not beat Virginia, that's right, soundly, that's right.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Um, I think Tyler Van Dyke might be a little bit more banged up than than is being talked about, but you know they won the game.
- 16:45Speaker 2: That's all that really matters in the end, you know when you're in that stage of program building.
- 16:50Speaker 2: It's about just winning at this point.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Um, I mean, I thought Florida would be a little bit better.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 2: That wasn't as much as.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I was, and I think Georgia just showed everybody they're still number one.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I don't know about quality, wins and rankings and everything, but they look like it and the eye test should.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, don't poke the beast.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yeah, if you got to play Georgia, don't poke the beast.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Don't Kirby smarts hoping they're not ranked number one.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, god, that's his dream, right?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Um, you know, surprises not, not a whole lot of surprises.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I mean Ohio State kept it rolling, but you know they've really solidified.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Harrison now is there.
- 17:29Speaker 1: He had another big game 123 yards, two touchdowns.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He's going to be in Heisman contention.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's probably the only player that's not a quarterback.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Jordan Travis has to go up there.
- 17:39Speaker 1: He has he had a solid game Um Phoenix once he if he remains undefeated, he'll stay up there.
- 17:47Speaker 2: But yeah, I think you're starting to see a bow, nick's with a solid performance, yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Bo Nicks is going to be there until the end.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Um as long as they have Jaden Daniels, if they keep winning and put.
- 17:57Speaker 1: He keeps putting up big numbers at LSU.
- 18:00Speaker 2: That's, uh, that you know.
- 18:01Speaker 2: That's why this coming weekend is big Um Alabama LSU.
- 18:05Speaker 2: You you could see him, I think, even catapult up to number one if he goes and beats Alabama and he's going to have I mean, you know how he's going to have to do it and he's going to have to outscore him.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Well they, phoenix is back for the weekly odds update on the Heisman.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Phoenix goes back slightly ahead, I mean barely ahead.
- 18:27Speaker 1: He's plus two, 75, and then JJ McCarthy at plus 300.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Um, you know the?
- 18:34Speaker 1: And then Jaden Daniels is right there at third.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Like I said, bo Nicks at fourth in the odds.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And then Jordan Travis has moved up, well, actually moved down.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He was four last week but five this week.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But you just have to keep winning.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you go undefeated.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You're going to New York.
- 18:54Speaker 2: You're going to be in New York as a candidate.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Whether you can win it, Um, who knows?
- 18:58Speaker 1: you would need team other teams to lose because I think the other quarterbacks are going to have better numbers.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So if they have the same record, yeah, yeah, Uh, but again he's not looking in for that.
- 19:10Speaker 2: No.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I mean one.
- 19:12Speaker 1: If you get it to where you're up against, you know, jaden Daniels, and it's Jordan Travis versus Jaden Daniels.
- 19:19Speaker 1: We've talked about that Then you have a head to head matchup, which I think has to take weight.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I know it's an individual award, but yeah, I mean, I think you're right you would have to look at that.
- 19:31Speaker 2: But again for Florida state he hasn't played anybody.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, For Florida state to go undefeated, Jordan Travis is going to have to have at least he's going to have to play efficiently.
- 19:42Speaker 2: One more, probably multiple more games, like the game against Wake Forest.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Uh, whether it's, the stats are the same.
- 19:48Speaker 2: It just that kind of command of the offense.
- 19:51Speaker 2: So we'll see, man, they, uh, you know, I'm just glad they're going to be in that, that playoff ranking here tomorrow night.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 1: So if you had to guess what your top four be?
- 20:05Speaker 2: I think Georgia would be clearly number one.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I think they will put Ohio State at number two just because they didn't have a bye week and Michigan did.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Right, well, and they have better and they played people.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Come on.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Michigan, hasn't they say, they value wins.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Well, what wins do you have, Michigan?
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think it's a lot easier to do that when Michigan hasn't just beaten somebody by five touchdowns, six touchdowns, you know, this past weekend.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I wanna see the human element and see if any of the any of that's influenced by the latest allegations.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You know, are they gonna weigh in, you know?
- 20:40Speaker 1: I mean that would honestly.
- 20:42Speaker 1: When you tie that in and then they haven't played anybody, I mean that's number one for me, like you have to.
- 20:49Speaker 1: We know this, we knew this.
- 20:51Speaker 1: When they beat the teams at the end of the schedule, boom, I'm fine with them jumping people and I think that's what's gonna happen in the rankings.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 1: With teams like.
- 21:02Speaker 2: The real question is gonna be that three or four, I think.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I think Georgia and Ohio State are gonna clearly be one and two.
- 21:09Speaker 1: So you think Michigan and Florida State.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I think there's a real possibility Florida State could be ahead of Michigan just because of you know who they've played, who they've beaten.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 21:19Speaker 2: The fact that they played again this week, you know, got another win, looked very, you know, if we would have gone in there and won by a field goal over Wake Forest, then it's a different conversation.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Now you bring up a good point about that human element and the allegations and everything like that.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I would think that if they're gonna take that into account, then you might see Washington sneak up into the fore instead of Michigan, that they would just leave them out altogether.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Until they get a better, more clear understanding, I don't think they're gonna do it.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Right, it's Michigan.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna do that.
- 21:53Speaker 1: We have a question Shoot, all right.
- 21:56Speaker 1: We have a question from Dundin, is that right?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Dunedin.
- 22:02Speaker 1: All right.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Louisville has one loss, Notre Dame has two losses.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Why is Notre Dame ahead of Louisville?
- 22:09Speaker 2: It's a combination of who they lost to and when they lost Right.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I guess it's because Louisville lost a pit, yeah, and it was after.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And it was after it's also.
- 22:19Speaker 2: You take into account how high Louisville you know, they didn't even get ranked until what Like week four.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Notre Dame was pre-season top 10.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Like that, and that's one of those things I think as the season rolls out.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Once, if Louisville continues to win, they'll jump Notre Dame.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Ultimately, though, what it comes down to is that you know they're Notre Dame and Louisville.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:43Speaker 1: But if you're a Louisville fan, you just take care of business.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I mean, if you go if you win out, you're going to be in Charlotte and then if you beat Florida State you're, they're not they'll put you ahead of Notre Dame.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the math will work itself out.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Right now Notre Dame is ranked highly.
- 22:59Speaker 2: To pad the other teams resume, you know mainly Ohio State.
- 23:04Speaker 2: You know the.
- 23:06Speaker 2: The loss to Louisville by Notre Dame was, you know, worse than any other loss in the top 12.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I believe, I don't know.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I don't know the rankings, I'm just talking.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It wasn't a good loss.
- 23:17Speaker 2: No it wasn't.
- 23:18Speaker 2: They didn't look good getting beat like that.
- 23:20Speaker 2: We'll see, man, they're going to go and spank Clemson this week.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Notre Dame will probably be in the top eight even with two losses.
- 23:35Speaker 1: You think, yeah Well, notre Dame really spanked Pitt.
- 23:39Speaker 2: They did.
- 23:40Speaker 2: They did Like I said.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Florida State shouldn't have any trouble Again.
- 23:44Speaker 2: It's Pitt.
- 23:45Speaker 2: If they do, it's going to be.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Speaking of another spanking right here, it was homecoming FAMU with the big win 45 seven over prayer view.
- 23:54Speaker 1: That's where Willie Sims got his coaching debut.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I mean, they looked good.
- 24:00Speaker 1: They wrapped up the Swack East.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I believe he won five and oh, in the swag Coach prayer view to their first winning season, if I'm not mistaken 17 in a row at Bragg man.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's huge.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 24:18Speaker 1: You're not coming in there.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Who's going in there and winning?
- 24:20Speaker 2: Nobody.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I don't know when.
- 24:22Speaker 1: When's that coming?
- 24:23Speaker 2: Nobody.
- 24:24Speaker 2: No, I mean, you told me, man, what are you?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Some three stars, four star recruits there you know, taking in the game like that's.
- 24:32Speaker 2: He's got it rolling man.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, he does.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Well, you know what else we got here.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Let's do my top four.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I got Georgia number one, Ohio State number two, Florida State number three, Michigan four, and that's the same as big time Knowles.
- 24:55Speaker 1: He sent me his, but.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I think I would agree.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Like Ohio State has the two best wins, like ranked wise, so you got to give him credit for that.
- 25:04Speaker 1: But Georgia eyeball test OK, and they have.
- 25:07Speaker 1: They played some opponents and they dominated those opponents.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so what they?
- 25:11Speaker 1: did to Florida and Kentucky.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Those two games alone I have the number one.
- 25:15Speaker 1: And then, you know, ohio State went on the road and beat Notre Dame, who was a good team and saw it yesterday.
- 25:24Speaker 1: They went in there and they beat him at the end and they beat Penn State, who I mean say what you want about?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah, they're still, they got good players.
- 25:33Speaker 2: If people are going to keep, if you're going to keep ranking Penn State high right, then they're going to get.
- 25:37Speaker 2: So I got them into.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Florida State has beaten Duke and they beat LSU.
- 25:41Speaker 1: That that win against LSU keep remains to, as they continue to win.
- 25:45Speaker 1: They're playing Alabama this week.
- 25:47Speaker 1: That'll.
- 25:47Speaker 1: That'll be a huge game in the Heisman race and in the SEC West.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So we'll have that.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'm going to.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I'm going to be interested because nobody has been able to stop LSU.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, since week one, since Florida State game.
- 26:01Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You know it's Alabama, you figure has as good a shot as any, but we'll see if they can do it.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Man, jane Daniels is really good.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Those receivers are really good.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I'm glad we played him in week one.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Yeah, okay.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So, um, top four that's mine, and then I have mission in the Florida state three, and then Michigan would be four.
- 26:23Speaker 1: They just haven't played anybody.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I think that's going to be what it is.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I think if Michigan had played this past week and kicked the crap out of somebody, that they would put us or put them over Florida state, um and and that's.
- 26:34Speaker 2: You know.
- 26:35Speaker 2: That's just because it's an overreaction every week of looking at box scores, right?
- 26:41Speaker 1: So there you go and.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I think you'll be right, though I think that's going to be it.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But you just have to keep winning.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And then, because it's going to change, it's a huge week coming up.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of big, a lot of big games, a lot of big games.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I mean the big 12, I mean you have Texas and Oklahoma right now.
- 26:58Speaker 1: They don't even hold control their own destiny.
- 27:01Speaker 2: No, it was, it's Oklahoma state and Iowa state, iowa state.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Both had bad out of conference losses.
- 27:07Speaker 2: But Ohio and South Alabama.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Right Southern Alabama drummed the.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Cal Pokes but they really turned it around.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I who's going to watch out for Kansas state.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 2: They're starting to they're starting to beat the crap out of people.
- 27:24Speaker 2: They got healthy.
- 27:25Speaker 2: We had to go.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Tray Sean's doing some things now.
- 27:28Speaker 1: All right, all right.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So big week coming up, a lot of big games in college and in the NFL.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Halloween is tomorrow.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I got to get the candy out of hide it, man.
- 27:47Speaker 1: They went to a.
- 27:48Speaker 1: My kids went to a Halloween party and throw the candy.
- 27:52Speaker 1: It's really cool, but you know they already got.
- 27:55Speaker 1: They already got so much they're going to go get more.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's turned into like a multi day event of candy.
- 28:02Speaker 1: We were growing up.
- 28:04Speaker 2: It was a good idea Now you can.
- 28:05Speaker 1: maybe I'm going to see if I'm going to have to trade it in and give them like a, something like a book.
- 28:12Speaker 2: They didn't have anything growing up for the kids that couldn't trick or treat Right?
- 28:16Speaker 2: No, they didn't have any of that.
- 28:17Speaker 2: You just S O L man.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Candy everywhere.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Candy everywhere now.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to watch it.
- 28:25Speaker 1: They always think dad's going to take the candy.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Take the candy.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I am trying to do it for your own good.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I'm trying to keep you from having to get your foot cut off when you're 14.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Okay, I'll eat the Snickers.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yep, it's going to be a fun one this week.
- 28:42Speaker 1: There are a lot of big games.
- 28:44Speaker 1: We're going up to pit.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to that game, looking forward to the trip.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Also, a lot of games to watch while we're up there in college and the NFL.
- 28:55Speaker 1: We're going to have a lot of stuff going on, got to scout, scout the next opponent, man Right.
- 29:00Speaker 2: We're almost to Miami.
- 29:01Speaker 1: They got Miami's, got to go to NC State.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Hey, the Wolfpack would be Clemson.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You called that.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I called Oregon.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You know I don't see any, but, like what's going to happen with all these, you know who's going to be the one, who's going to be my.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'm not interested to see in the playoff rankings who obviously who the top four is.
- 29:24Speaker 1: But another thing is who's going to be the top one loss team, because right now, based on the performance yesterday, that's Oregon.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Oregon is number six in the AP poll.
- 29:33Speaker 1: We'll see how the how the committee looks at it.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I think the contenders are your usual suspects Oregon, alabama, texas.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You have head to head there for for Texas over Alabama.
- 29:46Speaker 2: But that is true, man.
- 29:48Speaker 2: The back end of that back 10, there's going to be a lot of bitching back and forth.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It's going to be huge.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It's going to be huge because I think you have it the undefeated power of the conversation will go.
- 29:57Speaker 1: But who's going to be that top one loss team go, but we'll see it, we'll react to it and we'll talk to you next time, right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
