- 0:52Speaker 1: Welcome to the month of May in the year 2025. Um,
- 0:58Speaker 1: Thank you for joining me here today. Thank you for
- 1:01Speaker 1: letting me be a part of your life and you
- 1:05Speaker 1: be a part of mine today. Happy Mother's Day. We'll
- 1:10Speaker 1: start with that. We got a nice episode of we
- 1:14Speaker 1: got some Mother's Day stuff. We're going to get into
- 1:16Speaker 1: a little bit of light news. And then we had
- 1:19Speaker 1: a call a few weeks back about grief and loss.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And we had a lot of nice feedback calls today.
- 1:28Speaker 1: and informative, heart-ish, heartfelt contributions. So we'll get into those
- 1:36Speaker 1: in a bit as well. But, yeah, Mother's Day, that's it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Because your mama raised you. Think about that. Your mama, boy,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you was doing nothing, your little ass laying there. doing nothing, boy.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Hunting for a fucking hand tit. That's all you was doing.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You was just hunting for that little hand tit with
- 2:06Speaker 1: your little hands. You was a little slurp lord. And
- 2:11Speaker 1: your mother raised you. First of all, if something came
- 2:13Speaker 1: up to me and started sucking on my breast, on
- 2:16Speaker 1: my tit, or whatever it's called, tit for men or whatever,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I would not then raise it. You have to think
- 2:25Speaker 1: about that. If something started sucking on your tip, would
- 2:29Speaker 1: you take it off and then raise it and grow
- 2:32Speaker 1: it to its full form? Only a mother would do
- 2:36Speaker 1: that type shit, boy. That's some next level. That's some
- 2:40Speaker 1: next level behavior mothers out there. With your ass, too.
- 2:44Speaker 1: A lot of kids never washed their ass. We had
- 2:47Speaker 1: a buddy. His legs just knew his pants so well.
- 2:51Speaker 1: He wore the same pants always. And so you knew
- 2:54Speaker 1: good and well. So nobody was washing his ass, boy.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Not a chance. Even his mom, and she tried. You
- 3:03Speaker 1: see her warm up some water on a stove in
- 3:05Speaker 1: a stove pot and pull his pants back and just
- 3:09Speaker 1: dump it right down the back of his pants, hoping
- 3:12Speaker 1: to even get a half wash or quarter wash on
- 3:15Speaker 1: his ass with that warm water. But damn, your mother,
- 3:21Speaker 1: our mothers did that. And when we couldn't read, imagine
- 3:26Speaker 1: you sitting there with somebody, right? And they can't read,
- 3:30Speaker 1: you know? And you got to teach them to, you
- 3:35Speaker 1: start with the first letter and you show them that.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And it's a picture of like an alligator and a
- 3:42Speaker 1: little kid and the mom's like, what's that? And he's like, lizard, lizard,
- 3:47Speaker 1: or whatever. He can't even say shit. He don't even
- 3:49Speaker 1: say nothing. He just look at you and try to
- 3:52Speaker 1: cop a quick hit off that tit. That's a dumb child.
- 3:56Speaker 1: We were all dumb child. Our mother helped us out
- 4:00Speaker 1: of that. Out of that cavern of knowing nothing. God.
- 4:07Speaker 1: They did a lot of work. And then even on some,
- 4:12Speaker 1: once you were in school, when you had to go
- 4:14Speaker 1: to school and take a test, and you was dumb, buddy.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You was damn dumb. You was a dumb child. And
- 4:25Speaker 1: your mother still hugged you and said, you're going to
- 4:27Speaker 1: do good on it. I remember my mom would be like,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you can do great on your test. I'd look at
- 4:36Speaker 1: her like, really, I am? Yeah, you're going to do great.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And I would leave out the door and I'd peek
- 4:43Speaker 1: back in the window. You could see her just shaking
- 4:45Speaker 1: her head like, he's going to fuck it up. But
- 4:48Speaker 1: that's crazy to send something, know something is going to
- 4:52Speaker 1: not do well on a damn test. Spelling or whatever
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's called. And send it out in the world and
- 5:00Speaker 1: still hug it. And pretend like when they get back,
- 5:03Speaker 1: how'd you do? You fucking know good and well how
- 5:06Speaker 1: they did, mom. They didn't do shit, boy. They didn't
- 5:11Speaker 1: do shit, bro. Opening pants. Another batch of warm water
- 5:16Speaker 1: on that ass. It's spring cleaning. Mother's Day, man, that's
- 5:21Speaker 1: what it is. And that's what it ain't, man. Yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 1: I want to say happy Mother's Day to my mother.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I know she watches this show and I appreciate that. Man,
- 5:33Speaker 1: happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. The
- 5:36Speaker 1: ones that do it by themselves. And some of y'all
- 5:40Speaker 1: have help. Yeah, it's just this. We know you're doing it.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Somebody's doing it. And it ain't us. It ain't us children.
- 5:56Speaker 1: We think we did it ourself. We didn't do shit.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So make sure to reach out to your mother. Hit
- 6:05Speaker 1: her with a happy Mother's Day. Get her something. We
- 6:09Speaker 1: got one of our commercials. They got a good advertising
- 6:12Speaker 1: of something beautiful. You get her some good items or something.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Break her off something. Get your mother something. Drive over there.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Give her a hug, boy. Keep your hands off that breast, though, boy,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you of age, you know. You of age, because that's
- 6:26Speaker 1: always the craziest. You see them nine-year-old at the basketball game,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and he over there. And he up under his mother
- 6:33Speaker 1: wearing a triple XL men's polo shirt just so that
- 6:38Speaker 1: kid can get up under there and knobble off on
- 6:41Speaker 1: that tit. And he fucking nine, bro. Dude, I remember
- 6:46Speaker 1: they had this one kid, Lil Bubby was his name,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and he would go slip up under his mom's shirt.
- 6:51Speaker 1: His mom, I don't know if she was in a wheelchair.
- 6:54Speaker 1: She was just, just, just, just not, you know, kind
- 7:04Speaker 1: of looked like she was in a wheelchair type shit.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And she had them crazy breasts, them kind. It looked
- 7:09Speaker 1: like they cracked open and were kind of flooding out.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Like them bitches was crazy. I don't even know if
- 7:16Speaker 1: they are. At a certain point, it was like she
- 7:17Speaker 1: had them just got. Damn them thing, boy. She had
- 7:23Speaker 1: them fucking bean bag. She had them. She had them damn.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? She could find somebody take
- 7:34Speaker 1: a break right between her breasts. You find two men,
- 7:38Speaker 1: two factory workers over between her breasts. Getting a nap
- 7:42Speaker 1: in and betting on a horse racing. Because she had
- 7:45Speaker 1: them big break time tits, boy. She had them damn
- 7:50Speaker 1: baby bags. She had a fucking damn cow walk up
- 7:54Speaker 1: and try to feed off of them bitches. She had
- 7:58Speaker 1: them front end loaders on her. What were we talking about?
- 8:00Speaker 1: What were we talking about, Easton? Mother's Day. Mother's Day.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That's it, man. That is it. Sorry, I went off
- 8:09Speaker 1: on a tangent. Oh, but I remember they had this kid, LaBubby,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and he would go over by his mom's, by his mom.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He'd get up, he'd get him a damn candy bar
- 8:16Speaker 1: and get up under that shirt and get on that tit.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You'd see him in there. He'd have to pop his
- 8:22Speaker 1: head out to catch more breath, to catch more air.
- 8:26Speaker 1: He'd be like, he'd stick his head out and then
- 8:30Speaker 1: back under there, candy and then tit, candy and then tit.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Under there, damn nine years old, brother. You're going to
- 8:36Speaker 1: do good on your test, son. No, we ain't. That
- 8:39Speaker 1: kid's damn dumb, baby. Happy Mother's Day. I don't know
- 8:46Speaker 1: what I'm going to get my mother. Well, I'll get
- 8:48Speaker 1: my mother some, I'll send her a card. And I
- 8:52Speaker 1: sent that thing on Monday, boy. So it's going to
- 8:56Speaker 1: be there. Because for years, I'm that guy sending that
- 8:58Speaker 1: late card, you know. I send that bit. She'll get
- 9:02Speaker 1: that bitch On Father's Day She gets that bitch And
- 9:05Speaker 1: she did both jobs anyway So They should make that
- 9:09Speaker 1: They should make that Mother Father's Day card The two
- 9:12Speaker 1: in one hitter now They should get that thing released
- 9:15Speaker 1: out there Cause you've heard me say it before man
- 9:17Speaker 1: The hardest working man I've ever met Is my mother
- 9:23Speaker 1: Big facts Happy Mother's Day to you And to your
- 9:25Speaker 1: mothers Make sure to get that love line Hit her
- 9:27Speaker 1: with that love line Do something Get over there Tickle
- 9:30Speaker 1: her You know what I'm sayin' Buy her a bra
- 9:33Speaker 1: that says keep out on it. And honor those words.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Because you too tall to be titting. You know that shit.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Type shit, boy. What's going on? Feeling a little injured today?
- 9:46Speaker 1: I picked up something at the gym. Bam. Injured. Didn't even.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And it was that kind of thing where your back
- 9:55Speaker 1: locks up in your lung. Like that. Just. It's like
- 10:04Speaker 1: the wind Got knocked out of your back And you
- 10:08Speaker 1: know And your friend's like What's going on And you're
- 10:10Speaker 1: like You can't even talk You just So I just
- 10:16Speaker 1: left I don't know what they thought I had cancer
- 10:17Speaker 1: or whatever But yeah injured myself I went to the
- 10:21Speaker 1: massage place over here, and I go to the Chinese
- 10:24Speaker 1: shop over there, that chop shop. It say right on
- 10:28Speaker 1: the sign, chop shop, you know? And they selling fucking
- 10:32Speaker 1: rice right out the back of that bitch, boy. They'll
- 10:36Speaker 1: remodel your spinal column. They'll fucking unjanga that bitch and
- 10:43Speaker 1: then hit you with that damn two grams of rice
- 10:45Speaker 1: when you roll out the door. They got that shit
- 10:48Speaker 1: in there. And whenever I go get that massage at
- 10:53Speaker 1: the Chinese place, I ask for the big guy. I
- 10:57Speaker 1: want big guy. When I call him on the phone,
- 11:01Speaker 1: he knows me. My buddy Yang over there, I call
- 11:03Speaker 1: him on the phone. He say, you coming? I said,
- 11:07Speaker 1: big guy. You got big guy? Sometimes he got him,
- 11:12Speaker 1: sometimes he don't. Because I've had the second string. They said,
- 11:16Speaker 1: big guy. Big guy gone. Big guy gone. That's what
- 11:21Speaker 1: he said. I don't know what he meant. But I
- 11:23Speaker 1: think he was trying to say big guy gone, right?
- 11:26Speaker 1: And I spot him a letter if he ain't got
- 11:27Speaker 1: it all, bro. He from another country, you know? That's
- 11:30Speaker 1: the kind of guy I am. I'll fucking give you
- 11:31Speaker 1: a vowel. Big guy gone. Gone. I got you. I
- 11:37Speaker 1: got you with that E, twin. So, yeah. He said
- 11:40Speaker 1: big guy gone. So I went in there and they
- 11:42Speaker 1: had a second big guy in that bitch, bro. The second...
- 11:46Speaker 1: And he ain't that big, bro. He kind of... He just.
- 11:51Speaker 1: He trying to like make his neck long. Just trying
- 11:53Speaker 1: to look big or something. You know, he put on
- 11:55Speaker 1: mittens and shit. Because Asian, they try to trick you
- 11:58Speaker 1: when you're looking at them. They trick you. They visual.
- 12:02Speaker 1: They're the fucking. They're the bok choy David Blaine's baby.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Them bitches are fucking. They trick you, bro. They'll put
- 12:14Speaker 1: a piece of rice over each eye and tell you
- 12:15Speaker 1: they sleeping. That's who they are. They tricks just like that.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But I said, big guy. He said, well, big guy gone.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But I showed up anyway. I took that second, that
- 12:27Speaker 1: fucking other big guy, bro. And he wasn't shit. This
- 12:31Speaker 1: little motherfucker, this little fucking woodpecker. He couldn't do shit.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He would fucking hammer, just trying to hammer on me, bro.
- 12:39Speaker 1: He just put one of his arms out and was
- 12:41Speaker 1: just like that. Just woodpecker me with that elbow. Didn't
- 12:46Speaker 1: do shit. I'm fucking still hurt. But anyway, what else?
- 12:50Speaker 1: Big guy. I want to be gay. Dude, I'll tell
- 12:55Speaker 1: you this, bro. So one time I'm in there and
- 12:58Speaker 1: I was getting a massage at this other joint. I
- 13:01Speaker 1: went to this other joint and I'm in there, bro.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And I do the massage where it's like this chair
- 13:08Speaker 1: thing that you sit kind of forward on. Easton, can
- 13:10Speaker 1: you bring that up for me, brother? Yeah, I got you.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And we're borrowing Easton today. He's helping us produce. And
- 13:16Speaker 1: blessings to you, man. And Easton works on John Chris's podcast.
- 13:22Speaker 1: What's it called?
- 13:23Speaker 2: Net Positive.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Net Positive with John Chris, if you want to tap
- 13:27Speaker 1: in with him. What did I ask Easton?
- 13:30Speaker 3: Do you remember?
- 13:31Speaker 4: Pull up a chair picture.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Get that massage chair, that forward leaning. Let's go with that.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the kind they have right there. They put
- 13:42Speaker 1: your face in a little... It's like a little soft
- 13:45Speaker 1: little toilet seat, but it's soft, but it's little. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Put your face on that, and then they just start
- 13:54Speaker 1: getting at you. Anyway, so yeah, I'll go in. He's
- 13:56Speaker 1: got one of those chair massagers. So I sit in there,
- 13:59Speaker 1: and big guy, big guy, big guy here, big guy gone,
- 14:06Speaker 1: big guy here. Big guy starts rattling on me, doing
- 14:10Speaker 1: his big guy shit, fucking leaving sweat on my back.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I can feel it. Every now and then I know
- 14:14Speaker 1: he's really popping back there. If I feel a bead
- 14:16Speaker 1: of sweat hit my fucking neck. So he back there popping, right?
- 14:21Speaker 1: And then I, there's, I look over, dude, in the
- 14:23Speaker 1: chair next to me, there's a kid getting a massage, right? For,
- 14:30Speaker 1: I didn't even, I didn't know this could happen, right?
- 14:32Speaker 1: It's like a, this kid looked kind of like the Rizzler, right? Like, uh,
- 14:36Speaker 1: probably nine-year-old, maybe nine, and like kind of Rubenesque, you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: chubbish or whatever they call it, this chubbish little kid.
- 14:48Speaker 1: And there's a guy just like rubbing over, just like
- 14:52Speaker 1: massaging him, you know? And I didn't know a kid
- 14:55Speaker 1: could get him. I didn't know. And I'm like, am
- 14:57Speaker 1: I watching like a, like what am I watching? Like
- 15:01Speaker 1: is this a kid getting a massage or is this
- 15:03Speaker 1: like a, like is it, legal or you know I
- 15:09Speaker 1: just didn't know yeah I'm like and like how long
- 15:13Speaker 1: do you watch it's just a massage like if you
- 15:16Speaker 1: know but yeah this kid but it was so crazy
- 15:19Speaker 1: this kid was getting a massage like this kid got
- 15:20Speaker 1: a massage or was getting a massage this kid so
- 15:24Speaker 1: they're massaging a kid it's during the school day so
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'm like what is how you know what rich little
- 15:30Speaker 1: kid skip school to get a fucking massage bro Anyway,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so we're sitting there, and at some point, somebody did
- 15:40Speaker 1: a fart, you know? Somebody did a fart. And I
- 15:45Speaker 1: think it was this kid, right? It was crazy, dude.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm there. It's already weird enough. Somebody's massaging the kid.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'm getting fucking big guy. Big guy is over there
- 15:55Speaker 1: fucking working me in, and the little dude's over here
- 15:58Speaker 1: getting fucking chopped out. You know, this little fucking sixth,
- 16:02Speaker 1: fifth graders or whatever. This little fifth grader, he's getting
- 16:05Speaker 1: over there fucking chopped out by Chim Chop, your boy, right?
- 16:09Speaker 1: And I'm like, can you even massage a kid? I'm thinking,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and then somebody just started a fart out of their body.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And I think it was the kid, right? Because I think, look,
- 16:22Speaker 1: if you massage a kid, they're going to fart. They
- 16:24Speaker 1: got to strike back somehow because it's illegal to touch them. So,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and it sounded like, it sounded like, I don't know.
- 16:33Speaker 1: It sounded like somebody was drinking milk and then just, like,
- 16:37Speaker 1: it was just, it sounded like a, it just sounded
- 16:43Speaker 1: like a ghost wearing booty cologne that had just climbed
- 16:47Speaker 1: out of that child. And I'm not saying it was
- 16:49Speaker 1: definitely the kid who was in there doing farts or whatever, but,
- 16:53Speaker 1: you know, I don't know, you know. I'm no farting
- 16:56Speaker 1: Luther King or whatever, but I have a, Even if
- 17:01Speaker 1: somebody fighting in here. But there was another guy in there.
- 17:07Speaker 1: So it could have been other guy, you know, whoever
- 17:10Speaker 1: that was. Louis Farticon. No, it's just a activist joke. Anyway, no, yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: it could have been this other guy in there. I
- 17:21Speaker 1: don't know. Because there was another guy in there. Just
- 17:24Speaker 1: a guy like worked at a bank or something or
- 17:26Speaker 1: was like cheating on his wife. Some guy, right? And
- 17:31Speaker 1: they were over there shining him up. They over there
- 17:34Speaker 1: really getting into his shoulders and neck. You know, he
- 17:36Speaker 1: had two kind of medium guys. He didn't have no
- 17:38Speaker 1: big day. Like I did, bitch. But they chopping into him.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But at some point, the room started to smell bad.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Somebody chopped off a real fart. And it sounded like
- 17:52Speaker 1: somebody had put like milk on, just like their butt
- 17:57Speaker 1: had been drinking milk and then just fart, just did
- 17:59Speaker 1: a fart, bruh. It just sounded like somebody had taken
- 18:07Speaker 1: a tight foot out of a wet boot, you know?
- 18:11Speaker 1: Out of a wet rubber boot. But anyway, what is that?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Happy Mother's Day, bro. That's what I'm telling y'all. I
- 18:22Speaker 1: got a massage, and you got to take care of
- 18:25Speaker 1: yourself when you get them. When I go in a
- 18:27Speaker 1: massage place, first thing I say, no pop pop. I say, no, pop, pop,
- 18:34Speaker 1: touch the wing, tap on my wiener two times, pop, pop, no, pop,
- 18:37Speaker 1: pop for me. That's what I say when I say,
- 18:43Speaker 1: when I go into those places. We got an episode. Oh,
- 18:50Speaker 1: and that means don't touch me. Don't touch, no, don't
- 18:55Speaker 1: touch this, you know, don't, don't wiener, don't stay off
- 18:58Speaker 1: my wiener. That's what I say, you know. Stay off
- 19:01Speaker 1: my small guy, huh? Stay off my small guy. Big guy.
- 19:08Speaker 5: No, no.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Medium guy. But I tell him right when I walk in,
- 19:13Speaker 1: don't jerk me off. I do that myself. I do
- 19:16Speaker 1: it at home. I do it under, you know, I
- 19:18Speaker 1: do it with closed blinds or whatever. Music on, music off, whatever.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I don't jerk off with the fan on. I say
- 19:26Speaker 1: that point blank. You see some dudes, bro, I know.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I got buddies. You walk in their room, they smell
- 19:33Speaker 1: in there like they've been jerking off. And the fan
- 19:37Speaker 1: is on, bro. Have some respect, bro. You out there
- 19:42Speaker 1: drying out your root or whatever, and you out there
- 19:45Speaker 1: popping off, bro. You out there freaking earning pearls out
- 19:49Speaker 1: of your own pocket. own ween out there. So, praise God.
- 19:56Speaker 1: We'll get to an ad in just a second. We
- 19:58Speaker 1: got a new pope. Is that right there, Easton?
- 20:01Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And what did you think about it? What's the news
- 20:04Speaker 1: on him? You got any information on him?
- 20:07Speaker 4: He's the first American pope.
- 20:09Speaker 1: No way.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Yes, he is from Chicago, Illinois.
- 20:12Speaker 1: The Bears, boy. Wow.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I'll pull up his name here. He's going by Pope
- 20:21Speaker 4: Leo XIV, and his name is Robert Prevost.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Bobby Prevost, baby. And who do the Packers have? Aaron Rodgers, dude.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It's a wrap, bro. Jordan loved it, dude. Nobody. The Pope. Ding, ding. Dude,
- 20:41Speaker 1: we got the Pope, huh? Go Cubs go. Hey, Chicago,
- 20:48Speaker 1: what do you say? We got the Pope today. Gang, boy,
- 20:53Speaker 1: we right here. Big gay. Big gay. Damn, bro. Hope
- 21:01Speaker 1: he stops the massaging of children. You know what I'm
- 21:03Speaker 1: talking about? We shut it down, brother. I don't know
- 21:09Speaker 1: if we can say that. And how do we know
- 21:11Speaker 1: when they pick the pope?
- 21:13Speaker 4: So they, I guess all the cardinals, there's like a
- 21:16Speaker 4: bunch of, I don't know how many. They all like silently, secretly,
- 21:20Speaker 4: like you know that thing you did in school where
- 21:22Speaker 4: you let it like close your eyes and raise your
- 21:23Speaker 4: hand and the teacher counted? I guess it's like that
- 21:25Speaker 4: where they like secretly vote.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Oh.
- 21:28Speaker 4: And they don't decide until I think it's like a
- 21:30Speaker 4: two-thirds majority.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Like heads up, sovereign up or whatever? Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 4: So if the pope, I guess every day they do it,
- 21:36Speaker 4: and if the pope hasn't been chosen, they do, like,
- 21:38Speaker 4: black smoke out of the chimney. And then if the
- 21:41Speaker 4: pope does get chosen, then it's white smoke that comes
- 21:44Speaker 4: out of the chimney.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Oh, really? So how long did it take them to
- 21:46Speaker 1: choose this pope?
- 21:47Speaker 4: I think just, like, two days. Because yesterday it was
- 21:50Speaker 4: black smoke, or two days ago it was black smoke,
- 21:52Speaker 4: and then yesterday it was white smoke.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Damn. So it's only two days. Have we ever had
- 21:57Speaker 1: a black pope yet? No. Wow, bro. That's what we
- 22:03Speaker 1: got to get that black Pope boy. Big gay. What
- 22:08Speaker 1: about an Asian Pope? Have we had it? Oh, we
- 22:11Speaker 1: got to get a damn low Asian Pope boy. Just
- 22:17Speaker 1: a little bit of prayer fried rice boy. You feel me?
- 22:21Speaker 1: I want to say thank you to mom for having
- 22:24Speaker 1: all the answers. She had them all. She didn't. Sometimes
- 22:28Speaker 1: they were wrong yet, but she had them all. Imagine
- 22:32Speaker 1: something just asking you questions for 18 years and more.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And you do your best to answer every one. Yup,
- 22:41Speaker 1: that's a mom. But this year we're answering for mom.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And the answer is we're going to give them flowers
- 22:51Speaker 1: plus a real break. Because moms are at it 24-7.
- 22:55Speaker 1: And flowers, it's nice, but you know what they really
- 22:59Speaker 1: want is a break. from everyone's questions, from the endless
- 23:04Speaker 1: to-do list, from momming. Oh, I still ask my mom
- 23:09Speaker 1: so many questions. I will call and ask my mom
- 23:13Speaker 1: what shoe size I wear. I could look in my shoe.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I could do a ruler against my foot. But I
- 23:22Speaker 1: will call my mom, and if she doesn't answer it
- 23:25Speaker 1: when I call, I will just not know what my
- 23:29Speaker 1: shoe size is for the day. Oh, if I was
- 23:31Speaker 1: a mom, I would just put earplugs in. That's what
- 23:34Speaker 1: I would do. I would tell my kids I would
- 23:36Speaker 1: have like one of those lights that taxis have above
- 23:38Speaker 1: them on the top of a taxi that says when
- 23:40Speaker 1: it's available or not. I would turn the light off,
- 23:43Speaker 1: not available. And then I would, what would I do if.
- 23:48Speaker 6: I were a mom?
- 23:49Speaker 1: Oh, I would get in a big bubble bath. That's
- 23:54Speaker 1: what my mom used to do. She would yell. She'd
- 23:57Speaker 1: yell at us and say something. And say we weren't
- 24:01Speaker 1: going to be able to have something, then you'd hear
- 24:04Speaker 1: her slam her door. And then every now and then,
- 24:08Speaker 1: you'd hear her get in that bubble bath right there.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And maybe crack open a cold beer or something. A
- 24:15Speaker 1: cold little can of milk or whatever. You'd hear her
- 24:18Speaker 1: crack it open and get that bubble bath going. Sud
- 24:22Speaker 1: so high you couldn't see, hear nothing. Is she in there?
- 24:26Speaker 1: I don't know what she would. And I think she
- 24:27Speaker 1: would just sit in there in the bubbles and have
- 24:30Speaker 1: a little sip of beer or cold milk. Something to
- 24:34Speaker 1: get her through the day, man. So if I was
- 24:35Speaker 1: a mother, I would do that. Oh, and I forgot
- 24:37Speaker 1: to add. This Mother's Day, when you buy your mom flowers,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you'll get up to $ 75 as a Dash Pass member
- 24:44Speaker 1: or up to $ 50 as a non-Dash Pass member towards
- 24:47Speaker 1: a family meal that mom doesn't have to cook. a
- 24:51Speaker 1: fun activity so mom can play without planning, or a
- 24:54Speaker 1: self-care retreat in case mom just wants some me time. Yep,
- 24:59Speaker 1: that's Theo50, T-H-E-O, number five, number zero, to get 50%
- 25:06Speaker 1: off up to a $ 15 value when you spend $ 15
- 25:10Speaker 1: or more at local florists, convenience, grocery, and retail stores
- 25:15Speaker 1: on DoorDash. And starting May 9th through Mother's Day weekend,
- 25:19Speaker 1: your flowers order We'll unlock credit towards select gifts that'll
- 25:23Speaker 1: take cooking, planning, and more off of mom's plate. Make
- 25:28Speaker 1: this Mother's Day special with DoorDash. Terms apply. All right.
- 25:36Speaker 1: You know, one of the last episodes, the last solo
- 25:39Speaker 1: episode we had called Chili Boy or something like that.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Was it Chili Baby? Chili Boy. Chili Baby. Chili. Oh,
- 25:49Speaker 1: Pickle Chili. And it was about a month ago, and
- 25:52Speaker 1: a man called in who had lost his girlfriend to cancer.
- 25:58Speaker 1: So we're going to take a quick listen to that.
- 26:06Speaker 6: Hey, Theo.
- 26:07Speaker 7: Hope you're doing well. I'm calling you today to see
- 26:11Speaker 7: if I can get your perspective on something. My girlfriend
- 26:16Speaker 7: of four years, she passed away. five and a half
- 26:21Speaker 7: months ago. She, it wasn't, not a surprise, but, you know,
- 26:26Speaker 7: she had cancer. We thought that she had a little
- 26:29Speaker 7: more time. But, yeah, since then, I've spent most of
- 26:35Speaker 7: my time doing nothing. You know, I would visit her
- 26:39Speaker 7: grave every day for months, which is good, I guess,
- 26:44Speaker 7: for getting help.
- 26:45Speaker 1: He goes and visits her grave every day, you would say,
- 26:48Speaker 1: for months onward? And thank you for sharing this brother.
- 26:52Speaker 7: My apartment. Um, but I would just let the time pass,
- 26:56Speaker 7: you know, but, um, recently I've started, uh, going back
- 27:03Speaker 7: to school full time and, uh, working again. And honestly,
- 27:07Speaker 7: I feel like I'm just doing it because it's, uh,
- 27:10Speaker 7: expected of me, you know, from like people around me,
- 27:13Speaker 7: my family and my peers. Um, I guess in other words,
- 27:18Speaker 7: that is, I'm, I'm pretty young, but, um, so maybe
- 27:22Speaker 7: some people just expect me to move forward pretty fast,
- 27:26Speaker 7: but you know, I, I don't want to, you know, um, yeah. Um,
- 27:31Speaker 7: I just, you know, sometimes you feel like you're like,
- 27:35Speaker 7: I feel like I was like left behind, you know?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Um, yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Thank you for the call brother. And, um, and we, we,
- 27:42Speaker 1: we discussed this on a previous episode, but we had,
- 27:44Speaker 1: we got some calls that came in and, I wanted
- 27:47Speaker 1: to listen to some of them here just so you
- 27:49Speaker 1: can get an idea. As always, the hotline guide is 985-664-9503.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And here's a call that came in about grief. We
- 28:00Speaker 1: asked callers if they had any suggestions for that gentleman.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And here's some of the responses that we got.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Hey, Theo. Man, I love your show, bro. Listen to
- 28:13Speaker 5: you every day or every time you make a podcast.
- 28:16Speaker 5: I'm actually listening to Pickle Chili right now, and I
- 28:19Speaker 5: heard the caller call in about he lost his girlfriend
- 28:23Speaker 5: or whatever, and you asked some people to call in,
- 28:26Speaker 5: give some ideas of how maybe he can handle this situation. And, look,
- 28:30Speaker 5: I actually lost my daughter five years ago to this
- 28:33Speaker 5: day from a brain aneurysm. And I guess the only
- 28:39Speaker 5: advice I can say is, like, man, don't let nobody
- 28:41Speaker 5: tell you how long you should grieve. It's going to
- 28:44Speaker 5: be different for everyone. Because not every situation is going
- 28:49Speaker 5: to be built the same. So do it at your
- 28:53Speaker 5: own speed, man. There's going to be a lot of
- 28:56Speaker 5: people that's going to want to get involved and tell
- 28:58Speaker 5: you how you should do these. But you have to
- 29:00Speaker 5: experience this the way that you need to experience this
- 29:04Speaker 5: to make it right for you. I have dreams about
- 29:07Speaker 5: my daughter often, man. And it's funny because, like, in
- 29:10Speaker 5: my dreams, I know she's passed away and I know
- 29:13Speaker 5: she's not with her. So while I'm dreaming, I just
- 29:17Speaker 5: try to hug her and talk to her and make
- 29:19Speaker 5: that dream last as long as I can. You know,
- 29:25Speaker 5: and look, bro, miss her. Miss her every day. I
- 29:28Speaker 5: talk to my daughter. I miss, I mean, every night
- 29:31Speaker 5: before I say a prayer, I talk to my daughter,
- 29:34Speaker 5: and I've been doing that since the day she's passed away.
- 29:37Speaker 5: And look, last but not least, bro.
- 29:40Speaker 3: It doesn't get easier.
- 29:42Speaker 5: It really doesn't. It just becomes a new type of normal.
- 29:46Speaker 5: If that makes some sense, bro.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Man, Theo, gang, gang, love you, bro.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Love you too, bro. Thank you, man.
- 29:53Speaker 7: Man.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Man, that's just, that's a lot, you know, it's, that's
- 30:08Speaker 1: nice of him to call. He called out of Louisiana.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I see that area code 337 over there. And you
- 30:12Speaker 1: can hear the bayou in the back of his drool
- 30:15Speaker 1: right there. Yeah, I remember after my dad was gone,
- 30:19Speaker 1: even still, sometimes if I'm having like a tough day
- 30:21Speaker 1: whenever I go to sleep at night, I'll, yeah, I'll
- 30:26Speaker 1: hope that I get to see him or that he
- 30:27Speaker 1: shows up, you know. And then sometimes it's like gets
- 30:30Speaker 1: to be further. Sometimes it's like further and further between times.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And then, yeah, and it's just like you just wish some,
- 30:41Speaker 1: like you hope that somebody will be there. But then
- 30:43Speaker 1: sometimes they are in your dream. And, yeah, that's awesome, man.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That's a really nice sentiment to share. Thank you for
- 30:53Speaker 1: that call. Let's take another call here.
- 30:58Speaker 6: Hey Theo.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Hey man.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Just wanted to call in, uh, in response, listening to
- 31:04Speaker 6: the pickle chili podcast and, uh, the guy.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Thank you for listening, man. I appreciate that. Thank all you,
- 31:11Speaker 1: all anybody who listened.
- 31:13Speaker 6: I lost his girlfriend and after five months wanted to
- 31:18Speaker 6: respond to somebody that's been through that too. Uh, lost
- 31:22Speaker 6: my fiance, um, high school sweethearts, um, yeah day before
- 31:28Speaker 6: my birthday she was in a car accident and uh
- 31:32Speaker 6: it's tough man it's somebody that you've been with for
- 31:35Speaker 6: seven years um at a young age i was uh
- 31:40Speaker 6: 21 she's 20 so it's kind of rough but just
- 31:44Speaker 6: wanted to respond to him and let him know the
- 31:46Speaker 6: things that have helped me and maybe it'll help him
- 31:48Speaker 6: and somebody else and the biggest thing is i got
- 31:52Speaker 6: all those the same symptoms as him um you know,
- 31:56Speaker 6: didn't want to do anything, you lose your purpose in life.
- 32:00Speaker 6: And some things that you touched on, Theo, you know,
- 32:04Speaker 6: you want to dream, you want to feel all that again.
- 32:07Speaker 6: And it's all true. But the thing that helped me
- 32:10Speaker 6: the most is surround yourself with friends and family. And
- 32:17Speaker 6: those things right there, the people that love and support you,
- 32:20Speaker 6: I'm still close with her family. And those things help
- 32:23Speaker 6: you get through it, man. So anytime I'm having those
- 32:26Speaker 6: rough days and weeks and, and you just, like you said,
- 32:31Speaker 6: get out, surround yourself with people that love you and
- 32:36Speaker 6: your friends, go do some things.
- 32:37Speaker 3: With your friends.
- 32:38Speaker 6: They're always there for you. And, uh, I got a dog,
- 32:41Speaker 6: you know, and that really helped me get through that too, man.
- 32:43Speaker 6: You always got somebody excited to see you when you
- 32:45Speaker 6: get home. And, uh, That's it, man. That's really the answer.
- 32:50Speaker 6: You'll never forget. You'll never move on completely. You hope
- 32:54Speaker 6: to have a normal life. But the things that help
- 32:59Speaker 6: you push through it are going to be just love.
- 33:02Speaker 6: Surround yourself with people who love you.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Amen, man. Yeah, there's a song I love. There's a
- 33:13Speaker 1: song by this guy, Stephen Wilson Jr. Thank you for
- 33:15Speaker 1: that call. And thank you to the caller previously too.
- 33:17Speaker 1: And thank you guys for both sharing your experience with loss. Yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 1: there's this song, Grief. Is that by Stephen Wilson Jr.?
- 33:28Speaker 1: And it's grief is only love that has nowhere to go.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And I thought about that. I thought about that since
- 33:41Speaker 1: that gentleman called in. Because love is like, love is
- 33:46Speaker 1: this feeling that it has to land on someone or
- 33:49Speaker 1: an object. It has to land on something, right? Like
- 33:53Speaker 1: a person, place. Love has to have a place to
- 33:56Speaker 1: land if you love. Like you can love yourself, but
- 34:01Speaker 1: that's more like integrity and confidence. And then it can
- 34:05Speaker 1: even drift into ego or whatever. But when you really love,
- 34:10Speaker 1: you love someone, you know? And so love is really,
- 34:15Speaker 1: it's an outward thing. It's, it's not, it's yours, but it's,
- 34:22Speaker 1: if it's active, it's not yours. It's, it's a, like
- 34:28Speaker 1: a bridge almost kind of. And then, yeah, once that
- 34:33Speaker 1: recipient is gone, once that place where it was landing,
- 34:37Speaker 1: is gone. It's like, um, it almost becomes, it's crazy
- 34:42Speaker 1: that something that is so wonderful can become so painful
- 34:47Speaker 1: because then you had the, all these same feelings, but
- 34:49Speaker 1: they don't have the place to land. Um, yeah, I
- 34:54Speaker 1: remember when my father died, I remember I just, I
- 34:58Speaker 1: was at his funeral and it was like the most
- 35:00Speaker 1: like scariest thing ever. There was people there that I
- 35:02Speaker 1: didn't even, I didn't know any of them. And, uh,
- 35:05Speaker 1: my name, um, this family that I just moved in with,
- 35:10Speaker 1: the dad took me over there and, uh, and some
- 35:14Speaker 1: of our neighbors went with me. And I just remember like, uh,
- 35:19Speaker 1: it was all these feelings that I think I didn't
- 35:21Speaker 1: even know that I'd had that I wanted to be
- 35:24Speaker 1: for my father. And I didn't even know I had them.
- 35:27Speaker 1: And now it was just like, they were, they hit
- 35:29Speaker 1: a dam, you know, they just would never have a
- 35:31Speaker 1: place to go. And I just remember like just so
- 35:34Speaker 1: much tears and like, crying and like it would be
- 35:38Speaker 1: like going into the cracks of the floor and I
- 35:40Speaker 1: just wanted to I just wanted to be one of
- 35:43Speaker 1: those tears I wanted to just disappear let's take some
- 35:52Speaker 1: other calls man and we're not trying to make that
- 35:54Speaker 1: like I guess it can't help but be like sad
- 35:59Speaker 1: but I think it's real right and it's real this
- 36:04Speaker 1: is you know life is real And it's full of
- 36:07Speaker 1: real things. And I'm just glad we don't have to
- 36:10Speaker 1: go through them alone. So that's a nice thought to
- 36:13Speaker 1: have right now.
- 36:15Speaker 6: Hey, Theo.
- 36:17Speaker 2: I'm replying to the gentleman that had recently lost a girlfriend.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I had lost my girlfriend back in 2018. So it's
- 36:27Speaker 2: going on seven years now.
- 36:32Speaker 5: It's tough.
- 36:33Speaker 2: And it sounds like he was looking for... answers when,
- 36:39Speaker 2: you know, the only thing that I could say is like,
- 36:42Speaker 2: it sounds like he's on the right track.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And if I was him, I.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Would just choose to live through the memories that they
- 36:51Speaker 2: shared together. Um, I remember my girlfriend always telling me that,
- 36:56Speaker 2: you know, she thought I was a good teacher. And
- 37:01Speaker 2: so now I'm in a field where I'm able to
- 37:03Speaker 2: teach people things and, um, I just feel like every
- 37:07Speaker 2: time I do, I just, it reminds me of her
- 37:11Speaker 2: and there's just like, it's no longer a sadness anymore.
- 37:15Speaker 2: There's a happiness in it.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And yeah, you know, it's funny. Um, thank you.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'm belting out a little bit of Celsius, but, uh,
- 37:31Speaker 1: thank you for the call, man. Yeah. I remember my dad,
- 37:34Speaker 1: like one thing I, like one of the only things
- 37:36Speaker 1: I remember he said to me ever in my life
- 37:37Speaker 1: was that I was a survivor. He used to always
- 37:39Speaker 1: say that you're a survivor, you know? And maybe he
- 37:42Speaker 1: knew that because he was so old that it was
- 37:44Speaker 1: be something that I would need.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:46Speaker 1: But it's like, it's like one thing that I just
- 37:53Speaker 1: feel like, you know, I relate to or something, um,
- 37:58Speaker 1: you know, like I'm going to get through this, I guess,
- 38:00Speaker 1: you know? So I think that's really magical that when
- 38:04Speaker 1: you act out something that somebody who loves you told
- 38:07Speaker 1: you you were, when you do those things, that you
- 38:12Speaker 1: are kind of servicing that relationship that's no longer there.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Like if she says that, where you said this part.
- 38:23Speaker 2: I remember my girlfriend always telling me that she thought
- 38:27Speaker 2: I was a good teacher and So now I'm in
- 38:31Speaker 2: a field where I'm able to teach people things.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I could totally see that, man. That by then
- 38:37Speaker 1: teaching that you feel like you're honoring her. And it
- 38:41Speaker 1: makes you feel that same way that you felt when
- 38:44Speaker 1: she told you it was something that you did really well. Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 1: It's interesting how we figure out how to keep going
- 38:57Speaker 1: in the world, all of us. And that we want to,
- 39:03Speaker 1: that's one thing that I think is amazing about life, uh,
- 39:06Speaker 1: is this will to survive, right? It's like you have
- 39:10Speaker 1: a man that lost his daughter and he's, you know,
- 39:14Speaker 1: and there's, it's like he wants to go in at
- 39:17Speaker 1: least wake up and see the day every day because,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you know, probably through his eyes, his daughter somehow gets
- 39:24Speaker 1: to see the day as well. You know, I think
- 39:26Speaker 1: there's just something in us that wants to survive so much. Um,
- 39:32Speaker 1: And I don't even know what to say about that
- 39:34Speaker 1: or what I think about that thought. But thank you
- 39:39Speaker 1: for that call, man. Thanks for sharing that. All right.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Let's take one more call.
- 39:45Speaker 6: Hey, Theo.
- 39:46Speaker 3: This is Tyler from Cincinnati.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Hey.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Hey, Tyler, thank you for calling, dude. Cincinnati over there.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Will the Bengals have a decent defense? I don't know.
- 39:56Speaker 1: All the money's on the offensive side of the ball.
- 39:58Speaker 1: It feels like if they let Trey Hendrickson go. Now,
- 40:02Speaker 1: with that said, is it a Joe Burrow make or
- 40:05Speaker 1: break year? We'll see about that, baby. Onward, brother.
- 40:10Speaker 3: I don't have personal experience with a loss of an
- 40:14Speaker 3: immediate loved one, but I've walked next to someone who has.
- 40:18Speaker 3: And our church offers counseling around that. And one of
- 40:21Speaker 3: the resources we use is this book called Dark Clouds,
- 40:25Speaker 3: Deep Mercy. I highly recommend it to everyone who is
- 40:30Speaker 3: dealing with loss. And I buy it for anyone close
- 40:33Speaker 3: to me that I hear has a loved one who
- 40:35Speaker 3: they've lost and they've found some peace from that book.
- 40:42Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Hopefully that can be a resource to some people who
- 40:45Speaker 3: are listening.
- 40:46Speaker 6: Thanks, Spike.
- 40:49Speaker 1: All right, yeah, thank you for that suggestion, man. I
- 40:51Speaker 1: know there's a lot of grief books out there and stuff,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but it's just like, how do you go through it? Yeah,
- 41:00Speaker 1: it's interesting, the young man who called earlier, the first call,
- 41:03Speaker 1: the original call was saying that he felt like he
- 41:05Speaker 1: got left behind. Yeah, it's just, it's all kind of fascinating,
- 41:16Speaker 1: even though it's so sad. The other day this came
- 41:27Speaker 1: up on my feed when I was thinking about grief.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And it's Jim Carrey once said, or this site attributes
- 41:38Speaker 1: it to him. Grief is not just an emotion. It's
- 41:42Speaker 1: an unraveling. A space where something once lived but is
- 41:46Speaker 1: now gone. It carves through you. leaving a hollow ache
- 41:51Speaker 1: where love once resided. In the beginning, it feels unbearable,
- 41:55Speaker 1: like a wound that will never close. But over time,
- 41:58Speaker 1: the raw edges begin to mend. The pain softens, but
- 42:02Speaker 1: the imprint remains, a quiet reminder of what once was.
- 42:08Speaker 1: The truth is you never really move on. You move
- 42:10Speaker 1: with it. The love you have does not disappear. It transforms.
- 42:14Speaker 1: It lingers in the echoes of laughter and the warmth
- 42:17Speaker 1: of old memories. In the silent moments where you still
- 42:20Speaker 1: reach for what is no longer there. And that's okay.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Grief is not a burden to be hidden. It's not
- 42:27Speaker 1: a weakness to be ashamed of. It is the deepest
- 42:30Speaker 1: proof that love existed. That something beautiful once touched your life.
- 42:35Speaker 1: So let yourself feel it. Let yourself mourn. Let yourself remember.
- 42:41Speaker 1: There is no timeline. There is no right way to grieve.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Some days will be heavy and some will feel lighter.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Some moments will bring unexpected waves of sadness, while others
- 42:53Speaker 1: will fill you with gratitude for the love you were
- 42:55Speaker 1: lucky enough to experience. Honor your grief, for it is sacred.
- 43:01Speaker 1: It is a testament to the depth of your heart.
- 43:04Speaker 1: And in time, through the pain, you will find healing,
- 43:07Speaker 1: not because you have forgotten, but because you have learned
- 43:10Speaker 1: how to carry both love and loss together. Man, that's
- 43:14Speaker 1: pretty powerful. Yeah, whenever I had heard that quote, that, yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 1: that grief is only love that has no place to go.
- 43:26Speaker 1: It's a great song too by Stephen Wilson Jr. I
- 43:31Speaker 1: don't believe that the quote is his, but it's a
- 43:34Speaker 1: great song. Yeah, like you have memories and sometimes even
- 43:40Speaker 1: just telling a funny story about someone that's gone can
- 43:46Speaker 1: almost make you have the same feeling as if they
- 43:50Speaker 1: are still alive sometimes. but yeah thank you guys for
- 44:00Speaker 1: anyway listening to that I know some of that stuff's
- 44:01Speaker 1: kind of heavy and stuff to think about but it's
- 44:03Speaker 1: nice to take moments to think about people and just
- 44:07Speaker 1: hear what just be alive yeah it's nice to just
- 44:14Speaker 1: be alive yeah I don't mean that I just mean
- 44:18Speaker 1: it's I don't know what I mean Anyway, yeah, thank
- 44:23Speaker 1: you everybody who made some calls and called in. There
- 44:27Speaker 1: was a lot of nice calls and suggestions and we
- 44:30Speaker 1: tried to put some together there. You know, I wanted
- 44:35Speaker 1: to say something. There's been something that's just been kind
- 44:37Speaker 1: of on my heart and so I feel like I
- 44:39Speaker 1: should bring it up. There is, you know, we've had
- 44:44Speaker 1: people on the podcast in the past to talk about
- 44:46Speaker 1: it and there's just a, there's a conflict that's been
- 44:54Speaker 1: happening in the middle East. People know about it, um,
- 44:59Speaker 1: between Israel and Palestine and some of the areas over there,
- 45:02Speaker 1: the Gaza area they talk about. And, uh, and I
- 45:07Speaker 1: just think it's, it feels to me, I don't know
- 45:11Speaker 1: if I, it just, it feels to me like it's
- 45:13Speaker 1: a genocide that's happening while we're alive here in front
- 45:17Speaker 1: of our lives. Um, And I don't, sometimes I feel
- 45:26Speaker 1: like I should say something. I'm not a geologist or
- 45:31Speaker 1: geographer or anything like that, you know? So I don't
- 45:32Speaker 1: know a lot of the, some of it I do
- 45:37Speaker 1: know though. Like I know the basics of the issues
- 45:39Speaker 1: over there, but for me, it's just like how I
- 45:42Speaker 1: feel like you see all these photos of people, just children, women, people,
- 45:52Speaker 1: body parts, just people like putting their kids back together.
- 45:58Speaker 1: And I just can't believe that we're watching that and
- 46:00Speaker 1: that more isn't said about it. And so I'm not
- 46:05Speaker 1: saying anyone else needs to say anything, but I think
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm just that more isn't said about it by me.
- 46:10Speaker 1: So I just, I want to be able to speak
- 46:13Speaker 1: up about that, that I think we're watching probably like,
- 46:18Speaker 1: you know, one of the sickest things that's ever happened. And, uh,
- 46:23Speaker 1: and I'm sorry if I've kind of haven't said about it,
- 46:26Speaker 1: I've tried to talk about it and learn about it. Um,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but I don't know, maybe I just want to, I
- 46:33Speaker 1: just wanted to say something. I don't even know what
- 46:34Speaker 1: to do, you know? And it's crazy because our country
- 46:38Speaker 1: is also complicit in, in, you know, it's, uh, in,
- 46:41Speaker 1: in it and has been for a long time. And, um,
- 46:45Speaker 1: and it's just kind of interesting because then you just realize, oh, well,
- 46:47Speaker 1: I'm just a, yeah, I'm a member of this country,
- 46:49Speaker 1: but I'm just, what we want sometimes doesn't matter, you know,
- 46:55Speaker 1: and you just have to be a member of a
- 46:58Speaker 1: place and your government is making other choices. So I
- 47:04Speaker 1: don't know if I've, I don't know if I said
- 47:06Speaker 1: that correctly, or I don't even know exactly what I said,
- 47:08Speaker 1: but I just, I just have, it just like been
- 47:11Speaker 1: making me really sick. And I feel like I just
- 47:13Speaker 1: needed to say something that I think you don't have
- 47:16Speaker 1: to think that I'm not asking you to do anything. Um,
- 47:24Speaker 1: but I just have to say that. So I'm not
- 47:26Speaker 1: sitting by, you know, there's that peace inside of me. Like, why,
- 47:31Speaker 1: why wouldn't you, can you say something? You know, there's
- 47:34Speaker 1: people that can't even speak and you can say something,
- 47:37Speaker 1: you know? And so that's how I, I just had
- 47:40Speaker 1: to just speak up anyway. I think maybe it's starting
- 47:43Speaker 1: to make it about me there at the end, but, um, yeah.
- 47:46Speaker 1: So just praying for those people and just the grief
- 47:49Speaker 1: that that is all going to cause. You notice like,
- 47:57Speaker 1: what are we doing? And I know that this has
- 48:05Speaker 1: happened to other ethnicities and other cultures. I know that
- 48:07Speaker 1: it's happening to other places too. I just don't see
- 48:11Speaker 1: that as much. And so, yeah, anyway. Anyway, that was
- 48:17Speaker 1: kind of a downer ending, but... Big guy!
- 48:26Speaker 2: So.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Mother's Day is a good day to just be reminded
- 48:30Speaker 1: to love people, whether it's your mother or a kid
- 48:32Speaker 1: or a puppy or a little alligator, whatever you got
- 48:38Speaker 1: over there. Even if it's a memory. Get a picture
- 48:42Speaker 1: out of somebody that was a member of your life
- 48:44Speaker 1: or that loved you. And spend a few moments with them.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Or that's what I'm going to try to do. I
- 48:53Speaker 1: got a couple pictures of my dad. I think there's
- 48:55Speaker 1: a couple memories that I keep of him that are like,
- 48:59Speaker 1: That are just mine, it feels like, you know? Yeah,
- 49:07Speaker 1: there's a couple memories of him that I feel like
- 49:08Speaker 1: are just mine. And so, yeah, you can spend time
- 49:13Speaker 1: with those. You're the only two people that have those
- 49:16Speaker 1: in the world is you and that other person. So
- 49:18Speaker 1: that's a really...– that's one of a kind. So that's
- 49:23Speaker 1: really something cool that you can do. But anyway, this
- 49:27Speaker 1: is getting long. Happy Mother's Day. Thanks for letting me
- 49:33Speaker 1: be a part of your life today. Thanks for being
- 49:34Speaker 1: a part of my life today. And– I don't even
- 49:41Speaker 1: know how to end this, what to do. I don't
- 49:43Speaker 1: even have any music on today, so. Big day. Yeah,
- 49:49Speaker 1: big day. Yeah, big day. But yeah, anyway, quit listening
- 49:56Speaker 1: to me. Text your mom, even if you hate her,
- 49:58Speaker 1: text her and be like, hey, ma, love you. And
- 50:03Speaker 1: then just send a wink emoji after it. That's how
- 50:05Speaker 1: you look, hey. It's a start, right? You guys be
- 50:10Speaker 1: good to yourselves, baby. Praise God. Thank you. Oh, and Easton.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Easton, for helping us out today.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Dude came over. We never even met. We never even met.
- 50:21Speaker 1: What are you getting your mom for Mother's Day, Easton?
- 50:22Speaker 4: I think me and my siblings went in on something.
- 50:26Speaker 4: I don't really know what it is yet.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:28Speaker 4: I'll find out on Mother's Day as well.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Type shit. Dude, the craziest is when you buy something
- 50:33Speaker 1: to your siblings, right? They picked it out. They show
- 50:36Speaker 1: up with it. Mom opens it. She likes it, but
- 50:38Speaker 1: you don't fucking like it.
- 50:40Speaker 4: It's happened a few times.
- 50:41Speaker 1: That's crazy. Dude, that's one of the– that's why being
- 50:48Speaker 1: a mom has to be so crazy. Something crawls out
- 50:50Speaker 1: of your body, right? Hangs out in the kitchen for
- 50:53Speaker 1: probably 15 years, right? And basically– I don't get it. Sorry.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I don't, there wasn't an ending to that, but, uh, yeah, dude,
- 51:06Speaker 1: that would be the thing. Somebody got my mom, one
- 51:08Speaker 1: of those boat in a bottle thing, ship in a bottle.
- 51:13Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about?
- 51:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Yeah. We all gave my sister some money and she
- 51:19Speaker 1: was going, she was, she'd been using or whatever, or
- 51:22Speaker 1: mountain climbing or whatever she called it. But she, um,
- 51:25Speaker 1: we gave her the money. She shows up. We each
- 51:27Speaker 1: gave her like 80 bucks. She shows up. She was
- 51:29Speaker 1: supposed to have something nice for her mom. She got
- 51:31Speaker 1: her one of those fucking ship in a bottles, dog.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Had no change with it. Like, bitch, give me that
- 51:42Speaker 1: fucking change, bitch. Come on, big guy. All right, man.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Thank you, Easton, bro. Much obliged. Appreciate you. And make
- 51:53Speaker 1: sure to check out Net Positive with John Crist and
- 51:56Speaker 1: Easton on there. And you guys be good to yourselves, okay?
