- 0:11Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Handle here on a Foody Friday and ask Handle anything. Friday,
- 0:17Speaker 2: December fifth, twenty twenty five, we are anxiously waiting for
- 0:22Speaker 2: the draw. The FIFA Trump Games are going to happen
- 0:27Speaker 2: and it's going to be well, we have one that's
- 0:31Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six, that's coming up next year, so
- 0:37Speaker 2: we've got and so they draw to see which countries
- 0:39Speaker 2: are going to get it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We knew as twenty eighteen we were going to get it.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Okay, it's time for Foody Friday with Neil and we
- 0:46Speaker 2: do that for a couple of segments. Okay, let's start
- 0:51Speaker 2: right now, and we'll start with the first topic, and
- 0:54Speaker 2: that's Honeybake's new prime Rib. Now honey Bake is known for,
- 0:59Speaker 2: of course their hams. They're extraordinary spiral cut, sugary, maple
- 1:06Speaker 2: crusted hams which are just absolutely spectacular. Uh and they
- 1:10Speaker 2: have turkey too and have for years. Is now it's
- 1:14Speaker 2: prime rib that they're offering.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Neil absolutely, and this is a really not People are
- 1:21Speaker 3: always calling the show and looking at other options. Than
- 1:26Speaker 3: just what might normally be on the table. And although
- 1:30Speaker 3: you said turkey and ham that they're known for their
- 1:33Speaker 3: honey bake and if you've ever had a honey baked ham,
- 1:37Speaker 3: I mean.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Now a commutely delightful Yeah, they are.
- 1:41Speaker 2: To be real, you have a choice between a honey
- 1:44Speaker 2: baked ham or a new car.
- 1:46Speaker 1: They're pretty pricey, but they are.
- 1:50Speaker 3: They can't bes of meal.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Oh but that is. But it's a spectacular ham.
- 1:59Speaker 4: So they're no for those things.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And they really absolutely do it perfectly. They put this
- 2:06Speaker 3: stuff together quite well. And in this particular case, they're
- 2:10Speaker 3: adding this new prime rib offer and it's this well
- 2:15Speaker 3: seasoned roast, easy to prepare, it's got clear instructions, simple
- 2:20Speaker 3: salt and pepper, garlic rub. It starts at twenty six
- 2:25Speaker 3: bucks per pound, and it's fully roast.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Isn't that reasonable?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Well, it's if you get like one tenth of a pound,
- 2:34Speaker 3: I think you're pretty okay. But it you know, if
- 2:41Speaker 3: you want to have something and not go through the
- 2:44Speaker 3: intensity of fully cooking it your way, this is a
- 2:49Speaker 3: nice convenient and you're paying for that convenience because he's
- 2:54Speaker 3: way between three and eight pounds each.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so yes, yesterday I did a cost run, of
- 3:00Speaker 2: course I did, and I bought two of the Costco
- 3:03Speaker 2: chickens at five bucks apiece. And you talk about some
- 3:07Speaker 2: spectacularly seasoned chickens, best chicken I know about there, and
- 3:13Speaker 2: it's not twenty six dollars a pound, but you know,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you pay for it. You go to turkeys, for example,
- 3:20Speaker 2: pre cooked turkeys at some of the major markets, and
- 3:23Speaker 2: I'm talking about the high end stuff Gelson's and Bristol Forums,
- 3:27Speaker 2: et cetera. Those are eighty one hundred dollars for a
- 3:31Speaker 2: twelve to fifteen pound turkey.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Well, the reality is for places like Costco, though, those
- 3:39Speaker 3: are lost leaders.
- 3:40Speaker 4: They're just to get people in the door. They're not
- 3:42Speaker 4: making one dime.
- 3:44Speaker 2: No, it's costing them money, you're right, But it's if
- 3:47Speaker 2: you go in and just buy chickens, you're gonna be
- 3:49Speaker 2: in good shape.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yes, if that's all you're looking for. I just thought
- 3:53Speaker 3: this was really interesting. Great for those that want this
- 3:58Speaker 3: particular item as an option. If you're the type that
- 4:02Speaker 3: goes there for turkeys, goes to honey Bake for turkeys
- 4:06Speaker 3: or for him you know, I, I know we just
- 4:10Speaker 3: had Thanksgiving a you know, a week and a day ago,
- 4:14Speaker 3: but I'm already craving turkey and mashed potatoes and ham
- 4:20Speaker 3: and the whole thing again when I have to go
- 4:22Speaker 3: to talli Rand, one of the only places that serves
- 4:25Speaker 3: year round Thanksgiving. But yeah, so I think this is
- 4:29Speaker 3: just a neat addition. It is expensive. We'll see. I
- 4:34Speaker 3: don't know if they deliver it. I keep trying to
- 4:37Speaker 3: look to see if they're going to deliver this. You
- 4:38Speaker 3: can obviously order it in advance online.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Well you have to, I mean during Christmas and Thanksgiving
- 4:44Speaker 2: you have to order the honey baked in advance.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Yo.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you get like.
- 4:48Speaker 3: It's one of my pet peeves because sometimes if someone
- 4:51Speaker 3: comes in and once one you don't get it. On
- 4:54Speaker 3: more than one time I ordered it and it wasn't there.
- 5:01Speaker 2: All right, Fruity Pebbles is bringing back flavor of from
- 5:10Speaker 2: the nineties fruity Pebbles. Now, I'm not a big fan
- 5:13Speaker 2: of fruity Pebbles to begin with.
- 5:15Speaker 4: But now they're they're like, uh, yeah, I.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Know, but you know the color. I know the colors,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and it's just I'm just not crazy about them. Joy
- 5:24Speaker 2: happy Yeah, yeah, I said there makes people too happy.
- 5:27Speaker 2: But let's talk about what they're bringing back.
- 5:29Speaker 3: They're releasing a new cinnamon Pebbles flavor.
- 5:33Speaker 4: So it's got the cinnamon.
- 5:35Speaker 3: People love cinnamon, they love cinnamon, toast, crunch, all these things. Uh,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and they're putting it together in this this new Cereals
- 5:45Speaker 3: baked with cinnamon flavor notes of vanilla. People are already
- 5:49Speaker 3: freaking out about it, and it'll be on the shelf soon.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Now, pebbles.
- 5:56Speaker 2: By the way, the name pebbles does not come from
- 6:00Speaker 2: what was found in those boxes, and it had to
- 6:03Speaker 2: be a recall back in the nineties, it was No,
- 6:08Speaker 2: pebbles is based on.
- 6:09Speaker 1: What neil actual pebbles.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Well, no, if I'm not mistaken, okay, if I'm not mischild, Yes,
- 6:19Speaker 2: the child in the.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Fred Fop after pebbles.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's I think that's where the pebbles
- 6:26Speaker 2: came from. Which pebbles or pebbles are people? No, pebbles
- 6:31Speaker 2: are friends.
- 6:33Speaker 3: In the nineties and even back in twenty seventeen, they had,
- 6:38Speaker 3: you know, cinnamon pebbles.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I like seed for quite some time. Yeah, I
- 6:42Speaker 2: like cinnamon flavor cereal.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I do like it. Yeah, but you know the problem,
- 6:47Speaker 1: are you? Yeah? But the problem with cereals in general.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I use whenever I eat cereal for me and a
- 6:53Speaker 2: lot of people I think agree, it's the granola type
- 6:56Speaker 2: because they don't get soggy like your your normal rice
- 7:01Speaker 2: and corn cereal that you pour milk into. And ones
- 7:05Speaker 2: that don't get soggy. Yeah, like grape nuts. Yeah, they
- 7:09Speaker 2: have to grape Yeah. Now they have to stay crispy.
- 7:12Speaker 2: They have to stay crispy.
- 7:13Speaker 4: A listener, by the way, turns me on.
- 7:15Speaker 3: To uh they just did the new camera update. It
- 7:22Speaker 3: turned me onto the cereal. If you like good crunchy cereal.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I've become a new fan of this and it is
- 7:30Speaker 3: standing by crap. I don't have it on here, I'll
- 7:34Speaker 3: get it for you. But it is such a crunchy
- 7:36Speaker 3: cereal and milk is no match for it. It's a
- 7:40Speaker 3: brand cereal, but it's very very good. Okay, okay, all right,
- 7:43Speaker 3: So that's coming January. Look in your favorite store. The
- 7:47Speaker 3: next one is people love baking during this time of year,
- 7:52Speaker 3: and all recipes dot com, which is a great website,
- 7:54Speaker 3: by the way, they talked to professional bakers and they
- 7:59Speaker 3: all agree, And this is the one that I recommend
- 8:01Speaker 3: to people. So I was excited to see that I'm
- 8:03Speaker 3: in touch with that, and that is the AP flower
- 8:06Speaker 3: or the all purpose flower unbleached by King Arthur. Huh,
- 8:12Speaker 3: the baking company. They're fantastic and they've got great recipes
- 8:16Speaker 3: on their website. But this is the flower that I
- 8:19Speaker 3: use in our home as well.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and let me ask you, because I've always thought
- 8:22Speaker 2: that all purpose flower was sort of it's a compromise
- 8:29Speaker 2: between the flowers that you really need or use for
- 8:34Speaker 2: even high end baking, because they have many different flowers
- 8:37Speaker 2: and they tell you use flower number one or flower
- 8:40Speaker 2: number three or whatever the hell they there is in
- 8:43Speaker 2: terms of specific baking needs.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Well, you have you know, bread flowers that have leavening
- 8:49Speaker 3: agents in them, or have higher protein in there, they
- 8:55Speaker 3: have more gluten in there. Yes, I use high gluten
- 8:58Speaker 3: flower when I'm making you know, pizza dough or something.
- 9:02Speaker 3: And i use cake flour, which is very fine flour
- 9:06Speaker 3: when I'm making homemade cakes. But really, the vast majority
- 9:09Speaker 3: of what you're gonna use for most things in a
- 9:13Speaker 3: kitchen is AP flower. And it's not a bad flower,
- 9:16Speaker 3: and it's not a you're not settling. It's a great flower.
- 9:21Speaker 3: You just want it to be unbleached and all of
- 9:25Speaker 3: those things. But the vast majority of what you're gonna
- 9:29Speaker 3: use is gonna be a p flower. So, for example,
- 9:32Speaker 3: in a pizza okay, you're making pizza dough, you can
- 9:34Speaker 3: make that with ap flower.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And would there be would there be a difference between
- 9:39Speaker 2: a high gluten flop flower?
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yes, because ap flower has less gluten. You know, I know,
- 9:48Speaker 3: I get to to eleven percent where you're gonna get
- 9:52Speaker 3: up to like fourteen percent in a high gluten or something.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Here's where I was gonna go with that, is there
- 9:59Speaker 2: is there a deser difference in terms of the pizza
- 10:03Speaker 2: dough that you want to create between the two flowers.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, depending on the type of dough you're making, like
- 10:10Speaker 3: depending sure, of course, uh, you know in double zero
- 10:14Speaker 3: is gonna be even finer. And but but for most
- 10:17Speaker 3: things you're gonna be making pie cress, all these things
- 10:20Speaker 3: you're it's it's gonna be a p flower.
- 10:22Speaker 1: That's fair enough. Main flower. Okay.
- 10:24Speaker 2: The last one is world markets. I don't even know
- 10:26Speaker 2: they're still in business. World model.
- 10:28Speaker 4: My god, you know what world market? Uh?
- 10:30Speaker 3: Is a fabulous market. Not only do they sell furniture
- 10:34Speaker 3: and things from all over the world. They are a
- 10:37Speaker 3: great place during the holidays because they have small sizes
- 10:41Speaker 3: of things that are great for you know, stocking stuffers
- 10:44Speaker 3: in the light, but really wonderful spices, pizza or pasta, sauces,
- 10:52Speaker 3: all kinds of olive oils and candies. And it is
- 10:57Speaker 3: not to mention ornaments and beautiful things from around the world,
- 11:00Speaker 3: but if you haven't been to a world market and
- 11:03Speaker 3: some time get out there, they really are a fun
- 11:06Speaker 3: place to just go and look around. You can find
- 11:10Speaker 3: little toys there, and I mean just anything and everything there,
- 11:15Speaker 3: but just fun many containers of little food stuffs that
- 11:20Speaker 3: you can put into people's stockings as well as hard goods.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I always find great stuff when I go to a
- 11:27Speaker 3: world market.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Now, is world markets like one of those stores where
- 11:33Speaker 2: it changes whatever you're buying or shopping for and that
- 11:38Speaker 2: they have buyers and grab deals or is it basically
- 11:41Speaker 2: the same stuff being brought in all the time.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I would say it's a mix, a healthy mix. So
- 11:48Speaker 3: when you look at their stuff, there is stuff that
- 11:51Speaker 3: seems to be in there fairly regularly, but especially during
- 11:54Speaker 3: the holidays. I've found stuff that I've never seen anywhere
- 11:59Speaker 3: else ever. Okay, they'll change through. But yeah, they've got
- 12:04Speaker 3: one at at the at the grove of the farmers
- 12:07Speaker 3: Market there Glendale. They're all over the place.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't been. You know, I never lived near
- 12:14Speaker 1: a world market, so it's worth you TI. They just
- 12:17Speaker 1: did really cool, funny Yeah. I liked it when I
- 12:20Speaker 1: was there. Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And I love looking at the furniture because they have
- 12:24Speaker 2: furniture from baskets from India and things from Thailand and stuff.
- 12:29Speaker 1: From Germany and.
- 12:32Speaker 3: And it's lovely and good prices. Yeah, it's a fun place,
- 12:35Speaker 3: big fan.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Okay, Well, we are done with foody Friday, by the way,
- 12:42Speaker 2: tomorrow it's the Fork Report from two to five pm
- 12:46Speaker 2: that Neil hosts. It's all about food. And that's one
- 12:49Speaker 2: of the shows that I actually listened to. Well, I
- 12:52Speaker 2: listened to all of them. No I don't, but it
- 12:55Speaker 2: is one of the my favorite shows.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Sure it doesn't poor you Bill.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Well, no it does. That's why I don't listen to
- 13:02Speaker 2: it very long. I didn't say how long I listened
- 13:05Speaker 2: to the show. I just said I listened to.
- 13:08Speaker 1: The show dummy.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, Friday, last two segments just one
- 13:14Speaker 2: of my favorite topics. Or segments ask handle Anything, and
- 13:19Speaker 2: the rules are always the same. People record the questions,
- 13:24Speaker 2: and what Neil does is choose the questions that are
- 13:28Speaker 2: the most embarrassing and humiliating for me generally. And so
- 13:32Speaker 2: let's get started with the first question of ask handle Anything.
- 13:36Speaker 6: Sometimes I just wonder if you ever get tired of
- 13:39Speaker 6: being an ass? I mean, you do this shock factor thing,
- 13:43Speaker 6: and do you really think it's funny some of the
- 13:46Speaker 6: things you say, because a lot of people don't. But
- 13:51Speaker 6: I will say this, sometimes you can be very entertaining.
- 13:56Speaker 2: No, and no, I do not get tired of doing this,
- 14:01Speaker 2: and I do not get tired of being an ass
- 14:04Speaker 2: and do a lot of people think that I'm not funny,
- 14:09Speaker 2: So go screw yourselves.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And the rest of them. Okay, next question.
- 14:15Speaker 3: I love how at the end though, she goes, but
- 14:18Speaker 3: I do find you entertaining.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I know, all right? Moving on, Hey Bill, this.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Is Ellison from Los Angeles.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I love your show so much. My ask no question.
- 14:28Speaker 1: When it comes to traff reporters, why is Angel from
- 14:31Speaker 1: Conway the only traffick reporter that participates in the show.
- 14:35Speaker 1: For example, Pedro Moreno or other chopp reporters.
- 14:38Speaker 7: We never hear their stories of them participating in the shows.
- 14:40Speaker 1: But Angel is the only one.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I want to hear what Pedro Moreno's all about.
- 14:44Speaker 7: I want to get to know some of the other
- 14:45Speaker 7: Shock reporters.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Love your show.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Thank you, guys.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I have no idea who those people are.
- 14:51Speaker 4: You don't know Pedro Moreno?
- 14:52Speaker 1: No? Do you what do you think? I listened to
- 14:54Speaker 1: this state.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I don't know if this guy is a thing.
- 14:58Speaker 3: And I'm not implying anything for because he's called more
- 15:01Speaker 3: than once and the other time he mentions Will that
- 15:04Speaker 3: Will is on a part of the show.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Will is And he just mentioned that Will is
- 15:09Speaker 1: not that only paid that.
- 15:11Speaker 3: He called and did his second one, But I will
- 15:14Speaker 3: Patro's a great guy.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't know. He's a great guy. I may have
- 15:20Speaker 1: met him. I just forget. I just forget if I
- 15:22Speaker 1: have or not recently married, good good guy.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Yeah, he's a great guy.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And I that makes him. He makes him a good guy.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Recently married makes him a good guy. That's my will.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Because you do anything for you handle Okay, moving on.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Hi, Bill, at your barbecue, will you be providing security?
- 15:43Speaker 1: And also will you be doing drug testing at background checks. Yes,
- 15:47Speaker 1: and yes.
- 15:48Speaker 2: The barbecue is what Neil and I donated to Katerina's
- 15:53Speaker 2: club and where we've actually six people are going to
- 15:57Speaker 2: be joining us for our ive at barbecue, which will
- 16:01Speaker 2: be broadcasting. It'll be a fork Report broadcast. And the
- 16:05Speaker 2: answer is yes, there will be security uh and yes
- 16:08Speaker 2: there will be uh a search background search, and there
- 16:12Speaker 2: will be a cavity search.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely so excited.
- 16:15Speaker 3: He went out and got a whole big packet Costco
- 16:18Speaker 3: of late Tex gloves.
- 16:19Speaker 4: He's the cavity searches himself.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yeah I am. Yeah.
- 16:23Speaker 8: Okay, next question, Hi, Bill, If I went to Pastasa
- 16:29Speaker 8: on auction to go to your house, will you make
- 16:31Speaker 8: me meet at a neutral location where you'll blindfold me
- 16:34Speaker 8: and spin me around five times so I don't know
- 16:36Speaker 8: where you live, just like they did.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Mission impossible. Sounds like fun.
- 16:42Speaker 2: What the hell do you think we're gonna have a
- 16:44Speaker 2: pinata party? What are you just like out of your mind?
- 16:47Speaker 3: But are you going to like throw a like a
- 16:50Speaker 3: burlap black burlap?
- 16:51Speaker 1: No? No, no, we're gonna No.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Those people paid a good chunk of money or donated
- 16:57Speaker 2: a good chunk of money.
- 16:58Speaker 4: You know where you live? Are we gonna Outnate.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yah. Well, no, he's got a point. No, he's got
- 17:03Speaker 1: a point.
- 17:03Speaker 2: We're gonna go to a neutral place, gonna put a
- 17:05Speaker 2: uh some kind of a bag over their heads and uh,
- 17:10Speaker 2: just with a blindfold and take him to my house. No,
- 17:12Speaker 2: they're gonna come to my house for a barbecue. They're
- 17:14Speaker 2: gonna be. We're gonna treat them very very well, and
- 17:16Speaker 2: they're gonna be. They they paid or they donated a
- 17:19Speaker 2: pile of money.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I'd pay eleven to get that close to you again. Yeah.
- 17:24Speaker 2: By the way, just to let you know, the six
- 17:27Speaker 2: people who did donate, it came to forty one tho
- 17:31Speaker 2: forty two thousand dollars. Uh to be part of it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I'm very proud of that. I am very proud of that. Okay, Yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 2: they're gonna be.
- 17:41Speaker 1: They're gonna be treated all.
- 17:42Speaker 2: They're gonna be trased, they're gonna be treated like gold
- 17:46Speaker 2: and are gonna be our guests of honor for sure.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Okay, but thanks for the point. Uh, Cono, do we
- 17:54Speaker 1: have more or are we out?
- 17:57Speaker 4: No more?
- 17:58Speaker 1: I don't want to go to break or if you
- 18:00Speaker 1: want to keep going, No, we'll do one more.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Hello, this is Terry from Maryland. Does Anne dislike Bill?
- 18:08Speaker 6: Sometimes her response to him makes me think that she
- 18:11Speaker 6: does not like Bill.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna let Anne answer that. Uh does an dislike Bill?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Depends on the day. I love you so much and
- 18:21Speaker 2: sometimes I can't stand you. Okay, that sounds like a listener,
- 18:24Speaker 2: doesn't it right? Yeah, it sounds like you know.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Yeah, balanced, No, it.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Is, and that is That's what our show is about.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Unlike unlike Fox, we really are fair and balanced in
- 18:38Speaker 2: the hate category.
- 18:39Speaker 1: We do have a wonderful working relationship. I must say,
- 18:42Speaker 1: we do argue.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Lindsey, your new wife answered the exact same way.
- 18:47Speaker 2: That is correct also and sometimes no, sometimes I hate
- 18:51Speaker 2: him and sometimes I hate him more more questions of
- 18:55Speaker 2: ask handle anything?
- 18:57Speaker 1: Hey Bill, This is Dave. Hey man.
- 18:59Speaker 7: I just wanted to tell you I tried your Zelman's
- 19:02Speaker 7: mint and it's sure enough. They got rid of the zachlies.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You know what exaclyes are. That's when your breast smells
- 19:09Speaker 1: exactly like their butt.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Just thought i'd let you know.
- 19:15Speaker 1: That's our new commercial.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, that is the new Zelman's spot.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Get rid of the one hundred percent. It gets rid
- 19:26Speaker 2: of the Zachlyes. Wow, thank you for that. Usually it's
- 19:30Speaker 2: a question that's asked because I don't take statements.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But sir Neil, you're right that that absolutely deserved.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Is Yeah, that deserved to mention as well as my
- 19:41Speaker 2: new Zelman spot.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Okay, moving on, Hey.
- 19:47Speaker 7: Bill, this is Jean ju Ju. I'm Jewish just like you.
- 19:51Speaker 7: I hate jew bagels. And my question is why do
- 19:54Speaker 7: our Jewish people think that we're Jewish because our mother
- 19:58Speaker 7: was Jewish when SI typically of our DNA comes from
- 20:03Speaker 7: our dad.
- 20:05Speaker 2: That's actually a good question. I'll tell you why. I mean,
- 20:07Speaker 2: this is a serious answer. You don't usually I just
- 20:10Speaker 2: have a ripper in good time. Because historically, and this
- 20:13Speaker 2: is history, is that Jews have been persecuted all over
- 20:20Speaker 2: the world, as you know, and for example the Pogrims
- 20:24Speaker 2: in Europe, poland parts of Russia. What happened is the
- 20:30Speaker 2: armies would come in and rape the women and rape
- 20:34Speaker 2: the Jewish women. So you couldn't tell who the father is,
- 20:36Speaker 2: but you could always tell who the mother is. So
- 20:38Speaker 2: that's why Jewishness flows through the mother and it has
- 20:43Speaker 2: nothing to do at all with the genetic background.
- 20:48Speaker 4: No.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Well, and on that note, by the way, it's it's
- 20:52Speaker 3: fifty to fifty your genetics.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Oh okay, well, yeah, that's true. That's true.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's that's right. This guy doesn't know what
- 20:58Speaker 2: he's talking about, but it's a good question. And that's
- 21:01Speaker 2: why Judaism someone being Jewish flows through the mother because
- 21:07Speaker 2: of well, you know the issue that I just talked about.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Well, you always know who the mother is.
- 21:13Speaker 2: That's exactly the point. That's the point. And you have
- 21:17Speaker 2: as a father some crazy ass Cosak that has gone
- 21:20Speaker 2: through and raped the women and pillaged and burnt down
- 21:23Speaker 2: homes and killed everybody.
- 21:25Speaker 1: All right, cosak Pi that liked lollipops from.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, that was Kosak.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Okay, okay, moving on.
- 21:35Speaker 8: Bill, This question is I don't know, maybe he's kind
- 21:38Speaker 8: of going to the archives of your brain, your mind,
- 21:40Speaker 8: but I don't know how long you've been like.
- 21:42Speaker 1: In southern California. But my curiosity or my question is
- 21:45Speaker 1: where did you shop before Costco arrived? And by that
- 21:49Speaker 1: I mean maybe you shop like at Zodi's or White Front.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yes, I shot the Zodi's.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I remember Zodie's, and I remember Kmart, and there were
- 22:00Speaker 2: bunch of stores. There's Akron that was here, Alpha Beta.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Do you remember that market? Alpha Betas matter of fact,
- 22:08Speaker 2: I broke into broadcasting at an Alpha Beta store when
- 22:12Speaker 2: I was a box boy, and they let me announce
- 22:15Speaker 2: the chickens on sale just before the show.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Closed, or before the store closed. Ladies and gentlemen, the
- 22:23Speaker 1: store's calling closing in half an hour.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Chickens are now on sale, And I would they let
- 22:28Speaker 2: me do the Inner brown.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Bag or Fazzio's. No, No, those were two Southern California.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah don't.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I don't remember those, But yeah, I mean I shopped
- 22:39Speaker 2: at all those places. Of course, white in Southern California, Kmart,
- 22:44Speaker 2: I don't remember Gemco, I don't.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Okay, do we have more?
- 22:50Speaker 5: Bill says when he retires he wants to live in Italy.
- 22:53Speaker 5: He said he was brought here by his parents in
- 22:55Speaker 5: nineteen fifty seven when he was eleven years old. Period.
- 23:00Speaker 5: That makes Bill well past retirement age period. How long
- 23:05Speaker 5: does he plan to live to be able to really
- 23:08Speaker 5: enjoy a retirement in Italy?
- 23:11Speaker 1: Period? Period? Okay, Well, I think she was texting.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I know well, Bill thinks.
- 23:19Speaker 1: First of all, Bill wants to do some math.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I came here in nineteen fifty seven I was not
- 23:25Speaker 2: naturalized as an American until what five years later, so
- 23:32Speaker 2: that's when I became an American citizen. And when do
- 23:35Speaker 2: I plan on retiring? I got to tell you, it's
- 23:39Speaker 2: what the hell do I do? I have no hobby,
- 23:43Speaker 2: no friends, I hate my family. I don't play cards.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I don't play golf with anybody. I seriously, I don't
- 23:52Speaker 2: know what I would do. And you know, and this show,
- 23:56Speaker 2: I mean, it's a you know, it's a good gig.
- 23:58Speaker 1: It really is.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Every time Gary Hoffman's not nice to you, you extend
- 24:03Speaker 3: your contract by five years.
- 24:05Speaker 1: That's correct.
- 24:06Speaker 2: And my commute it's a thirty foot commute, so it's
- 24:12Speaker 2: not bad.
- 24:12Speaker 1: That's actually a very good question.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yes, I'm gonna spend part of them when I retire,
- 24:16Speaker 2: I'm going to spend part of the year in Italy.
- 24:18Speaker 1: And they go, You're gonna buy a house.
- 24:19Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna rent, and I'm gonna be part time
- 24:22Speaker 2: there and part time here, hopefully part time there for
- 24:24Speaker 2: six months and one day. Because we have the issue,
- 24:28Speaker 2: of course of taxes state income tax, which we have
- 24:32Speaker 2: among the highest in the country. And then you can
- 24:34Speaker 2: do that if you've gone for over six months all right, guys,
- 24:37Speaker 2: I think we're done. That's it. It is a Friday.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Pretty good questions this time around, Neil. Some of them
- 24:44Speaker 2: were moronic, which I really enjoy. Some of them made
- 24:47Speaker 2: me maronic, which I enjoy even more. And we're absolutely done.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Gary and Shannon are on next. And I want to
- 24:57Speaker 2: thank my Morning crew. Well, let me put it this way.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I should thank my Morning crew for helping me with
- 25:05Speaker 2: this award winning show, but I will not be doing that.
- 25:09Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, I will never be doing that.
- 25:12Speaker 3: You want to hit us up with how much money
- 25:14Speaker 3: your auction item raised again before we go?
- 25:17Speaker 4: Of course you're a little outdated on Monday.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Forty two thousand dollars my auction money or my auction raised?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 25:29Speaker 2: All right, Monday morning we start all over again with
- 25:32Speaker 2: Amy and Will and then of course Neil and I
- 25:35Speaker 2: come aboard from six to nine, and Cono and Ann
- 25:39Speaker 2: are always there to make the show run as well
- 25:42Speaker 2: as it does, runs as well as they does.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Fie, you've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Catch My Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 25:56Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
