- 0:01Here's your host, Alex Garrett, and welcome inside to another edition of the
- 0:08Alex Garrett Podcast Network. A week ago, released from the hospital and doing
- 0:14the follow ups as needed, finally got out today and because the Saint John's
- 0:18Red Storm are actually in the regional in Charlotteessville, wanted to stop by Jack
- 0:25Kaiser Stadium and there was no watch party, but it was cool to get
- 0:29a little bit of a picture in front of the stadium. And on my
- 0:33social media you might have heard my call of the game tying single yesterday.
- 0:39I didn't get around to do and play by play today of Saint John's for
- 0:43a highlight reel. But the highlight reel is the Johnnys are alive. So
- 0:48how about that. It's a bright note to a week that's been quite chaotic
- 0:54and quite wild with a president becoming a convicted FELA. And I'll let you
- 0:58decide what you're gonna think on that. I'll also drop in the link that
- 1:03they believe, even the left leaning Intelligencer is saying that prosecutors contorted the law.
- 1:11That's what they write about in a piece about how they got Trump.
- 1:15But they contorted the law. So maybe you'll read that piece as well.
- 1:21But what I really want to focus on tonight, what I really want to
- 1:25focus on, what the energy I got, is what's happening tomorrow. Forty
- 1:33thousand American Israeli American Jews will be lining the streets of Fifth Avenue on Israel
- 1:42Day twenty twenty four. There is ramped up security along the route to protect
- 1:48those Jewish folks from protests that have quite become grotesque. If you ask me,
- 1:56I mean the Brooklyn Museum. Now, are you freaking kidding me?
- 2:01That is a Jewish institution as far as I'm going to know it, it's
- 2:06very steeped in Jewish tradition. And clearly, when you attack a museum that
- 2:15is of Jewish nature, okay, you are anti Semitic. You are anti
- 2:24Semitic. So the very act of going to the Brooklyn Museum is disgusting because
- 2:29they shows you have no respect for even the American Jews. Can we stop
- 2:32kidding ourselves as they do? They don't, And that's why I pray to
- 2:38God today the eve of Israel Day, Day of Israel, down the streets
- 2:44of Avenue, that they are able to march peacefully, that they're able to
- 2:47march uninterrupted, that the NYPD is on it every step of the way to
- 2:53protect the Jewish men and women and children of the city as they honor their
- 2:59home. You know, they're homeland, Israel, their ancestry. I guess
- 3:07I should say also Israel, because the Jewish community is very much a fabric
- 3:17of the diversity of the city, and to even deny them that right would
- 3:24in itself be anti semitic. To protest that right would be anti semitic toward
- 3:30American Jews, who have nothing to do with what's going on in the Cabinet
- 3:37of net and Yahoo, nothing to do with They just want to live their
- 3:40lives peacefully here in New York City. So they should be able to march
- 3:46peacefully up Fifth Avenue and prayerfully without any interruption. That's my prayer tonight on
- 3:55the eve of the Day of Israel twenty four and the forty thousand, because
- 4:09if the and I might sound controls there. But if the Irish can march
- 4:16down Fifth Avenue uninterrupted on March seventeenth, if Italian Americans can march proudly down
- 4:26Fifth Avenue or up Fifth Avenue every Columbus day in October, then why shouldn't
- 4:33those of Jewish descent be able to march peacefully? Why shouldn't they Because Jewish
- 4:50people should be able to march freely in their own city without fear of the
- 4:58braddy snut nose protesters that don't even want the good of the Jewish people of
- 5:05any kind. If they're going to protest even the Brooklyn Museum, that's all
- 5:15you need to know. The encampments are one thing. But when you start
- 5:19going to museums that are rich in Jewish history, that should tell you a
- 5:28lot. It should tell you a lot. If the fact that those of
- 5:33Jewish said couldn't even go to campus after these encampments in Colombia pushed them out,
- 5:42if that didn't say anything, maybe the fact that they're marching now at
- 5:45the Brooklyn Museum and protesting, and more than that, getting clashes, you
- 5:49know, becoming clashing at the Brooklyn Museum tells you a lot, doesn't it.
- 5:56I think it does. And that's why I'm saying this day that I
- 6:02pray tomorrow and what they're calling it is the Celebrate Israel Parade. MIPDU news
- 6:27saying NPO the Office will be on the scene. UFICI US officials will be
- 6:31implementing heightened security. This is all happening, uh, tweeting on x The
- 6:38parade occurred between sixty second Street and seventy fourth Street, and even an a
- 6:47mayor Adams has stepped in and said, Okay, here's how we're gonna keep
- 6:50the Jewish community safe as they celebrate Israel, their homeland tomorrow. So I
- 7:02hope this podcast out in the universe says we hear you. God says I
- 7:09hear you, and I will protect those of those who march in the parade
- 7:14with all my might so that they may parade freely, and then it could
- 7:21be literally just another parade of celebrating the culture of our city. The Jewish
- 7:30population is part of our culture in New York City and that must be celebrated
- 7:34and honored without interruption. That's all I'm asking for tomorrow, because my fear
- 7:46is while they only while the quote unquote Free Palestine Movement wanted to just glue
- 7:57themselves down in the Thanksgiving Day parade last year, when it comes to actual
- 8:01Jewish people, the rhetoric isn't just protest. That's my issue. So now
- 8:11tomorrow, forty thousand of Jewish folks celebrating Israel. Pray for them. We
- 8:22need to pray for them so they are not harmed in any way, shape
- 8:28or form. Thanks be to God. One last thing, because I see
- 8:41it's in the news today. While some might find and I don't like the
- 8:46hang of the flag upside down on the Trump conviction. But while some might
- 8:54find what happened Thursday injustice for those who feel that way, I've got some
- 9:00justice that will serve the entire city for the better. Son of Sam serial
- 9:07killer David Berkowitz was for the twelfth time denied parole this week, denied parole
- 9:20for the twelfth time, and I pray, okay, I pray that those
- 9:26denials will carry over into cop killer parole deadlines. If we can keep Son
- 9:41of Sam locked up, so too we can keep any cop killer locked up,
- 9:52because that's just the right way to honor the fallen in the line of
- 9:56duty, out of the families of the fallen, so that those like Detective
- 10:09Ramos and Lou and now Johnathan Diller are not dying in the line of duty
- 10:20with vain. But there deaths show that we have to and and the harsh
- 10:35penalties and harsh punishment against the cop killers show that cop killing is no longer
- 10:41acceptable in New York. That's what we have to show. And every time
- 10:48a cop killer is up for parole, there seems to be some idea that
- 10:52they're going to be released, and that's not the message we want to send
- 10:56in such a heated anti cop defund the police era. So Son of Sam
- 11:05can say behind bars, so too can the killer of Detective Diller, of
- 11:13detectives Ramos and lou Of also cops killed thirty years ago. The justice,
- 11:26no matter how long time is gone, will be to keep these cop killers
- 11:31behind bars, just like the efforts to keep Berkowitz and Sir Hans Sarhan behind
- 11:41bars. A cop killer must be treated with such punishment if Son of Sam
- 11:52and Saran Sarran are not released either. And I'm gonna post the story of
- 12:07the one I believe the very first victim who spoke with the New York Post
- 12:20this week alone, who lost her eye after being shot five times by David
- 12:30Berkowitz. Her name is Wendy Savino, who on Everyone ninth in nineteen seventy
- 12:39six, Berkowitz waltz up to her car and started laughing as he shot her
- 12:45five times. She lost her right eye in the shooting, but is finally
- 12:54recognized as one of Berkowitz's victims. Do you know how long Miss SEVENO,
- 13:01who does not have her eye, right eye, has been carrying around the
- 13:13sketch of David Berkowitz? Are you ready for this one? From the day
- 13:28I was shot, which was April ninth, nineteen seventy six, she has
- 13:35sketched, had a sketch artist with LENYPD to sketch out the details through her
- 13:50tracheotomy, through her track in nineteen seventy six. So this is now served.
- 14:00I think for Wendy Savino as being recognized, I think this is a
- 14:11part where we see the justice system does work. But let's make it work
- 14:16a little more, folks. Can we do that? Let's make it work
- 14:20a little more, as in if these paroles and these deadlines are denied,
- 14:35you know, if if parole is denied for Berkowitz and Sir Haan Sirhan,
- 14:41that's the best kind of justice for victims of David, for victims, and
- 14:52we should extend that justice. Yes, extend that justice for families of loved
- 15:00ones who die in the line of duty. May a copular never see the
- 15:07light of day, because that is true justice. I'm Alex Garrett. Enjoy
- 15:18the weekend. If you are going to celebrate Israel tomorrow, please be safe,
- 15:24and I know the NYPD will step up and do their damnedest to keep
- 15:28our city safe from the tyranny that is these rabid protesters, who are more
- 15:37grotesque than protesting. Enjoy the Rangers tonight. We'll talk to you soon on
- 15:45the Alex Garrett podcast Network
