How To Ask The Universe For A Sign (& Actually Receive One) · The Good Girl Rebellion

• 0:00
SPEAKER_00: Today I want to talk about signs from the universe because whether you believe them or not, they are there.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_00: I know that we have all had those moments in our life when something happens and you think to yourself, was that for me?
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 0:15
SPEAKER_00: Did anybody else see that?
• 0:17
  SPEAKER_00: Did anybody else no?
• 0:18
SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, that must have been for me.
• 0:21
SPEAKER_00: And whether you believe in them or not, I know that you have had one of those moments.
• 0:25
SPEAKER_00: Some people want to call it coincidence, some people want to call it confirmation bias, some people want to call it synchronicity.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_00: But personally, I believe that it is a sign from the universe that you are on the right track, that you're doing the right thing, and that she well and truly has your back.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: Because I've come to believe that signs from the universe are always there if you're willing to see them.
• 0:43
SPEAKER_00: But the beauty of them is that if you decide that they're not true, you won't ever see them.
• 0:49
SPEAKER_00: But if you decide that they are true, you will see them continuously over and over and over again.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready to reclaim your power, reconnect to your wilder self and rise as the woman you were never taught to be, you are in the right place.
• 1:31
  SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the rebellion.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's start with the basics.
• 1:34
  SPEAKER_00: What is a sign?
• 1:35
  SPEAKER_00: What is a synchronicity?
• 1:37
  SPEAKER_00: What does it mean?
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: A sign and synchronicity is something from the universe to prompt to you that you are on the right path, to show you that you are doing the right thing, making the right moves, going in the right direction, just on the right track.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_00: And how can these signs show up in your life?
• 1:55
SPEAKER_00: They could be things like angel numbers, songs, animals, repeated conversations, repeated messages, conversations, deja vu, gut feelings, unexpected experiences, and seeing the same symbol over and over and over again that you just can't ignore it anymore.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_00: It's one of those moments when you see something and you think, okay, no, that was meant for me.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: Like that was meant for me.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: That is something that I've been waiting for.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: That is something that confirms that I'm on the right track and I'm doing the right thing and that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: And whether you want to believe in them or not, I know so many people take the piss as that meme, like, oh, I know everything's gonna be okay because I saw 11-11 on the microwave.
• 2:36
SPEAKER_00: If you want to believe it, then it will be okay.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_00: It's whatever you want to believe is what you believe and it's what will come true.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_00: Because everything, your reality is you pushed out.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_00: Your reality is your perception of reality.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: So if you choose to believe in signs and synchronicities from the universe, you will see them and you will have confirmation that you're on the right track, and then it will give you the confidence to keep going and keep doing things that you may have been afraid to do if you didn't see the signs.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: For an example, I have been waiting my whole life for a butterfly to land on me.
• 3:11
SPEAKER_00: Well, my whole adult life.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_00: Ever since I made this declaration to the universe, that when I'm on the right path, I want you to bring a butterfly into my space and I want it to land on me.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_00: That will show me that I'm on the right path, I'm doing the right thing, and I cannot tell you the amount of butterflies I have followed around in England, trying to get them to land on me, trying so desperately, to be like, tell me I'm doing the right thing, tell me I'm on the right path.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: And I landed in Australia, day two, I'm sat by the pool, and all of a sudden, this butterfly just came and landed on my leg.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: And then I put my finger down and I managed to bring it up, and it just sat on my finger with me for like a good 10 minutes, and I was just like, oh my goddess.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: Okay, if I needed confirmation that I was on the right path, that was my confirmation.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: The minute I left my life behind, the minute I took that big leap into the unknown, moved halfway across the world, I had the confirmation that I've been waiting for for years.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_00: Because a sign and a synchronicity from the universe can truly look like absolutely anything you want it to.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_00: It could be a conversation with a friend that just prompts something inside your head.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_00: It could be an animal that you see recurring, it could be the angel numbers and then what they each mean, because every angel number has a different meaning.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_00: For example, I have 555 tattooed on the back of my wrist because to me, five, five, five, one, it's my life path number, number five.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_00: So it's like change, travel, adventure.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_00: It's something that's really meaningful to me.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_00: If any of you know me personally, you know that travel, change, adventure is something that I love to do, it's something that I thrive in.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_00: I thrive in the unknown.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_00: Even though I love a routine, I also thrive in having complete wildness in my life.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_00: And it's an angel number that I see every time I think, oh, maybe I should just settle down, maybe I should just not do this, maybe I should just do X, Y, and Z.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_00: I see 555 continuously, and it is a reminder that I just need to continue what I'm doing, continue to travel, continue to explore, because this is where I'm supposed to be, and this is what I'm supposed to be doing.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_00: If you want to get a message from the universe and you want to create the signs and synchronicities for yourself, and you don't want to just take them with a pinch of salt, you don't want to put your own meaning to them, you want something with a clear message.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_00: Something that I did recently was I sat in a meditation and in this kind of visualization meditation, what I was manifesting, what I was calling in, I said to the universe, okay, show me a sign to show me that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be, and this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_00: And it showed me a fox.
• 5:52
SPEAKER_00: It just flashed up in my mind, like the image of a fox.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_00: And in the UK, a fox was one of my animals.
• 6:00
SPEAKER_00: It was an animal that I saw all the time that had some significant meaning to me.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_00: It was something that was very special.
• 6:06
SPEAKER_00: Every time I saw one, it was like a little sign that you're on the right path, you're doing the right thing.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_00: It just showed me that the universe was there with me and it had my back.
• 6:14
SPEAKER_00: In Australia, a fox is not common.
• 6:17
SPEAKER_00: A fox is not something you would see.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, oh, okay, this is gonna be a tough one.
• 6:22
SPEAKER_00: Maybe I should ask for another animal.
• 6:23
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, no, no, no, you can't do that.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: You have to just take what it's given you and you just have to run with it.
• 6:29
SPEAKER_00: So I did, and that was about two and a half weeks ago.
• 6:34
SPEAKER_00: And yesterday I was on a walk in the morning, and I'm walking down the like river path that I always walk down, and I just like look left, and I was like, Oh my god, there is a great big fucking fox painted on the side of this van, and it's just looking at me.
• 6:54
SPEAKER_00: Because the sign and synchronicity, when you ask for it in the form of like an animal, for example, it doesn't have to be just the animal in physical form, it can be anything.
• 7:02
SPEAKER_00: Someone could mention a fox, you could see a picture of it, you could see the actual animal, you could see it on Instagram repeatedly, or social media, or on TV, anything, it could be anything.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_00: Just as soon as you have that kind of trigger in your mind that that was your sign, then you know that that's your sign.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: And I stood there on the side of the road just staring at this fox, like, okay, okay, I get it, I'm on the right path.
• 7:29
SPEAKER_00: I need to just suck my shit up and get on with it and put my head down and get this fucking done.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_00: So that is proof that they are there.
• 7:38
SPEAKER_00: If you choose to see them, you choose to believe them, you choose to actually listen to them and not think of them as some fucking woo-woo nonsense, then they are there to guide you and they're there to help you along your journey.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_00: Because the sign itself isn't gonna change your life.
• 7:52
SPEAKER_00: The sign isn't the thing that's gonna make everything different and you still have to do the work.
• 7:57
SPEAKER_00: You still have to show up, you still have to push through, you still have to take the leap and make the steps.
• 8:03
SPEAKER_00: But the sign is there to remind you you're supported in doing so.
• 8:06
SPEAKER_00: The sign is there to remind you that you're not alone.
• 8:08
SPEAKER_00: The sign is there to remind you that the universe has your back.
• 8:11
SPEAKER_00: Which is where I first came across signs and synchronicities, was in the book The Universe Has Your Back by Gabby Bernstein.
• 8:17
SPEAKER_00: And if you haven't listened to it or read it or however you want to absorb it, I highly recommend it because that book changed the way I think about the world and how the world has my back.
• 8:28
SPEAKER_00: The universe has your back.
• 8:30
SPEAKER_00: Whether you believe it or not, the universe is always working in your favor.
• 8:34
SPEAKER_00: If things don't make sense, it's because they haven't fully unraveled yet.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_00: It's like the universe always has your back.
• 8:40
SPEAKER_00: And if you want to have a communication with it, you want to talk to it, you want to know that you're on the right track, all you have to do is ask.
• 8:46
SPEAKER_00: All you have to do is ask for a sign, and the universe will deliver if you're on the right track.
• 8:51
SPEAKER_00: And if you ask for a sign that you're not on the right track, the universe will also deliver that.
• 8:55
SPEAKER_00: It's just about listening, and then it's about using it to guide you however you see fit.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_00: If you want to take that as a sign that you're not on the right track, and you want to completely shake up your life and do something different and step out of the life that you're living, that's your sign to do it.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_00: And if you want to ignore the sign and see what happens anyway, that's also well within your right.
• 9:17
SPEAKER_00: The universe is just there communicating with you in however way you want to communicate with it.
• 9:21
SPEAKER_00: If you don't want any communication with it, then it won't be there.
• 9:24
SPEAKER_00: But if you do, then just ask and it shall be given.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so if you have never asked for a sign before, you have never entered this realm of signs and synchronicities from the universe, you've never opened up any line of communication from the universe.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_00: This is what I want you to do.
• 9:40
SPEAKER_00: I want you to go away from this podcast.
• 9:42
SPEAKER_00: I want you to sit down in a quiet space, and I want you to close your eyes.
• 9:46
SPEAKER_00: And I just want you to quiet your mind, try and allow any thoughts to come in to just pass through.
• 9:53
SPEAKER_00: Do not focus on them, do not let them to guide you or lead you or take you down any rabbit holes.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_00: Just try and bring your mind quiet.
• 10:01
SPEAKER_00: As Abraham Hicks says, let the cork float.
• 10:04
SPEAKER_00: Just imagine you're a cork on the ocean, there's nothing holding you, you're just bobbing along.
• 10:09
SPEAKER_00: Just whatever comes, comes, whatever happens, happens.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_00: When you're in that space, you can bring your attention to your breath.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_00: You can just focus on your breath.
• 10:18
SPEAKER_00: Inhales and exhales for a few rounds, bringing your attention down into the body, bringing yourself really down into the present moment.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_00: And then I want you to quiet your mind.
• 10:26
SPEAKER_00: And I want you to ask a question.
• 10:29
SPEAKER_00: You could ask, am I on the right track?
• 10:31
SPEAKER_00: Am I in the right job?
• 10:33
SPEAKER_00: Am I doing the right thing in this relationship?
• 10:36
  SPEAKER_00: Am I supposed to be X, Y, and Z?
• 10:38
SPEAKER_00: Whatever it is you want to ask, just ask the universe and then say to it, if I am on the right track, I want you to give me a sign and I want you to show me this sign now.
• 10:49
  SPEAKER_00: Then don't think.
• 10:50
  SPEAKER_00: Don't think.
• 10:51
SPEAKER_00: Just let something come to your mind.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_00: Something will come up, something will pop.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_00: An animal, a number, a conversation, anything.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_00: Something will come into your mind.
• 11:01
SPEAKER_00: For me, it's always animals, but I know that people are different.
• 11:04
SPEAKER_00: Some people see numbers, some people have conversations with people, some people have like this real kind of strong intuition gut feeling of like um deja vu and stuff like that.
• 11:15
SPEAKER_00: So whatever comes to you is what is supposed to come to you.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_00: So just don't overthink it, don't change it.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_00: When it comes, you just have to take it and you just have to say, okay, thank you.
• 11:27
  SPEAKER_00: I understand.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_00: When I see this sign, I will know I'm on the right path.
• 11:31
SPEAKER_00: And if you don't see this sign, then you're not on the right path.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_00: But if you do see this sign, you will know instantly in that moment, like me with the fox, you will know that that was your message from the universe.
• 11:43
SPEAKER_00: That was your sign that you're on the right path, and that is the sign not to give up or to do whatever it was you asked for permission to do.
• 11:49
SPEAKER_00: And the key here is that you can't hyperfixate on this sign.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_00: You can't go looking for it.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_00: Because when you really, really, really, really, really want it, it's not gonna come.
• 11:59
SPEAKER_00: You have to wait for it to come into your space.
• 12:02
  SPEAKER_00: It will come.
• 12:03
SPEAKER_00: If it's meant to be, it will be.
• 12:05
SPEAKER_00: But do not force it because when you really, really want to see something, that is rarely when you will see it.
• 12:10
SPEAKER_00: And I know that some people will say it's not the universe or God or whatever it is you want to call it, it's just your mind.
• 12:17
  SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
• 12:18
SPEAKER_00: If it is your mind, great.
• 12:21
  SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
• 12:22
SPEAKER_00: If you believe it and you want it to mean something to you, it will mean something to you.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_00: It's like the placebo effect.
• 12:28
SPEAKER_00: It's like using crystals to heal.
• 12:30
SPEAKER_00: It's like having a belief in anything and then it coming true because you truly believed in yourself and you truly believed that it would happen, it happened.
• 12:38
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter whether people outside of your life think it's real or not.
• 12:42
SPEAKER_00: It's whatever you decide is real, is real.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_00: If you want to believe in the signs and synchronicities from the universe, if you want to believe that the universe is in communication with you and that it has your back and that it's showing you you're on the right track, then you will get it.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_00: Because why does it matter if a butterfly is a universal sign or if it's just something that is going to remind you to do the right thing and follow the right path and stay on track?
• 13:06
  SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter.
• 13:07
  SPEAKER_00: None of it matters.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_00: All that matters is that it means something to you, and that you understand what it is you're asking for and you understand the signs that you're waiting to receive from the universe.
• 13:17
SPEAKER_00: But I think the biggest thing I've learned about signs and synchronicities and messages from the universe is that it isn't about the sign itself.
• 13:26
SPEAKER_00: It's about what the sign represents.
• 13:28
SPEAKER_00: It's about the trust in yourself, it's about trusting your intuition, it's about trusting in your path, it's about trusting in your own abilities to do what it is you've asked the universe to give you permission to do.
• 13:38
SPEAKER_00: It's about trusting that even when you can't see the full picture, you know that life is unfolding exactly as it's supposed to.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_00: You know that everything is going exactly as a plan, you are on the right path, you just can't see the full staircase, you're just on the right step, and then the next step, and then the next step, and then the next step.
• 13:54
SPEAKER_00: But it's about knowing that everything is working out exactly as it's meant to.
• 13:58
SPEAKER_00: And the universe is backing that up with the signs and synchronicities.
• 14:01
SPEAKER_00: Because maybe the signs have always been there.
• 14:03
SPEAKER_00: Maybe the signs that you've asked for have always been there, but maybe you've just never been present enough to notice.
• 14:08
SPEAKER_00: So I encourage you, notice, ask the questions, do that meditation, ask for a sign from the universe and see what comes up.
• 14:15
SPEAKER_00: See what happens when you start paying attention.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_00: And I want to know in the comments if there is anything that ever happened in your life like my fox situation that you have asked for a sign or you've just seen something and you've gone, oh my goddess, that was supposed to be.
• 14:30
SPEAKER_00: That was meant to be.
• 14:31
SPEAKER_00: I cannot make out like that was anything other than exactly what it was.
• 14:35
SPEAKER_00: It was a sign directly from the universe.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for listening to today's episode.
• 14:40
SPEAKER_00: If this resonated with you, then make sure to share with the guys and girls who need a little reminder that the signs and synchronicities are always there to prompt them along the right direction.
• 14:50
SPEAKER_00: If you haven't already, make sure to subscribe or follow wherever you are listening to the podcast or watching along if you're on YouTube.

• 15:06
SPEAKER_00: Thank you again so much for listening, and I will see you again on the podcast next week.
• 15:11
SPEAKER_00: As always, all my love.
