- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's all that's to Netflix, romcom regular, and Yvonne Orgyp, who still seems an insecure,
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: We are talking about the wrong Paris, as I mentioned, it's now on Netflix.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: The movie is a contestant played by Miranda Cosgrove, signs up for a Parisian dating show in lands in Paris, Texas instead, plotting an early exit until feelings complicate the plan.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna talk audition choices, including a full throttle Southern accent.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna talk improv on set, playing and viciously passionate reality show personas.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: And how Yvonne's hosting on real life dating shows informed her in film MC.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: There's also backstage chaos, bull riding bruises and a whole lot more.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: So let's just jump into it.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about the wrong Paris out now on Netflix.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's Kyle and Meredith with Yvonne Orgy, Hannah Stucking and Madison Pettis.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_04]: Hi, Kyle.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_04]: Now, do you have a question?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_04]: Is consequence built with the K?
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: with a sea.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, you missed off of the cat.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_04]: You're going to the cat, the cat is right there.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: They literally, you know, I'm only going to play.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't get to write the rules this time.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: But when I start my own empire, there it is.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: There it is.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, he said, man, I just work here.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_05]: Cat the cat.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: Cat the cat.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, traitors.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_04]: Hello, traitors.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_04]: Hello, traitors.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I like it.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_04]: Cat that with Kyle?
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: We'll sell him back to him for a million.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: How did I come out so far?
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: I just arrived.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so good morning.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: Hello, Kyle.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: Good morning.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: It is a pleasure to meet you all.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Congrats on the movie.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: This was a lot of fun to watch with the wrong Paris.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really interested because each of you all have this outlandish character that you get to play.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: And especially with the contestants, I think everybody's got their own version of crazy.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: What was the audition process?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: How do you decide or who decides for you, who you're going to be in this type of situation?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_05]: I did one take in my audition with a normal standard accent and one with the southern accent because they weren't sure if they were going to go southern yet and I think the southern just immediately brought her to a different place.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_05]: It was a two different level and then in my comeback with the director she was like, we love the accent but just do like a little twang just like a 30% I was like oh yeah, we can tone it down and then we got to Vancouver to the table rate and she said 100%.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_05]: Just go for it and I was like, okay, I know what we're doing now.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_05]: Like that sets the tone for me that that immediately maybe click into it
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: So the accent really does make the character for you.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_05]: It does, to me, it read really differently at the one I just didn't, her normal accent.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_05]: There's a, there's a, there's a bless your heart missed to her.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_05]: That's like somehow the things you're saying are so mean, but with your sweet little accent, I think she was just nice to me.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what just happened.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_05]: Like it has a different little layer to it.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_04]: And we all know bless your heart is cold for us debut, and you sleep.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_05]: I hate you with all my hair.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, sure.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_04]: Is that too much?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_04]: No, is that too much?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's so condescending, but it really is.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_04]: What's the movie?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: Was it with Mandy Moore?
- 5:23[SPEAKER_04]: The Bible?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_04]: Was it saved?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're right.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_04]: And she was just like, I love you with the love of the Lord.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: It's painful.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_04]: That's preference there.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm old.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: Er.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know I said crazy.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Is it playing crazy?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Is that what it is?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_03]: You could call it crazy or authentically myself.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm not normally exuding ovulation, but I am, you know, I love hard.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: I love bomb a lot in real life, and maybe I'll stalk a little bit.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: But just a little light.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_03]: Just a little light.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like Miller light stalking.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_04]: You're my aunt.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_03]: You're kept up.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_03]: You're kept up.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: You're kept up.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're kept up.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I feel like when men call women crazy.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like that's just the default.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like you crazy I know she's eclectic woman that knows what she was saying it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, what did you do to cause that?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, which part of me?
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: It was not crazy for I met you and now oh, I'm so crazy Well, you like crazy because we've been together.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, I'm just saying when men say crazy as a default I feel like we just need to use our words better
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: I can do that.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, to your point, too, it's like, I didn't think anybody was bad.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they were very driven in a, I will do anything.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_04]: They were, they were in, they were in viciously passionate.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Chris.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, thank you.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_04]: It was a, that's what it was.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_04]: Come on.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: Let me know it for me, my apologies.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's why that, you know, that's why diversity is important.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_04]: You think we need a female driven child allowed men to learn how to use their words.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: You're welcome Kyle, we'll come to questions.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: and we'll be right back right after this.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's Kyle Meredith with Madison Pettis, Hannah Stalking and Yvonne Orgy.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'll fish this one too, because you boasted reality, right?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you base a character like this on someone?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_02]: Or is this just pulled from your own experience?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_04]: Well, the two shows that I have hosted, so I did my mom, your dad, and I've had the balloon.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: And I always go in with like the like full hearts, and like in my mind open eyes, like I really want me to find love, like I'm like,
- 7:56[SPEAKER_04]: Parents finding love and their kids are the ones pulling the strings or pop the balloon It's like and then it's just like there's there's I'm learning that in bedded in most reality There's a inherent messy or chaos to which that's not how I was in my life So I'm I always go in like full of help and I'm like, wait, what's this?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: What's going on?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like people being people like all of the characters and so it is for me I'm just like I want like Rachel how Rachel ends the movie is literally how I enter all of these shows Like I'm always like I want hope.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: I want love.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_04]: I want joy.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_04]: I want I want to win at the end So it felt good to get that like redemption song
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's interesting.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think for any actor too, because you know, you go into a character choices are made, right?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, how often for you all, maybe is that?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like, when you're looking at a character, is it easier to sort of start embodying someone at the beginning?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've obviously got a lot of music posters behind me.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: I always kind of use that as a reference too.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, when you're first learning to be a sung writer, you're mostly emulating.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then you find your way.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: And is that the same when you go into a character at all for
- 9:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I can take time to find a character.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like the more time you spend with her.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like TV you get more time with a character and really get to like, see them, Evan Flow.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_05]: These like type of quicker shoots where you go in a month.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_05]: You gotta try to find it before you get started.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it is kind of like music.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_05]: I like that analogy.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_04]: When I read a script, I'm if I can like see my lines and like embody them and they feel like natural coming out of my mouth like if they feel like okay I know her.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_04]: I know a version of her.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_04]: I can tap into this person.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_04]: Then yeah, for me.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like oh easy money easy money Um, but it's like who is?
- 9:44[SPEAKER_04]: And what the, I don't know if you wanted to do this, like what are these words, you know?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_04]: And so that it is like trying to figure out like can I see myself in her, can I bring myself to her?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_04]: And or is she teaching me something new about myself?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm always like looking for that.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and for me, I feel like in real life, I keep many different types of people as friends.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: And so, like, I have a friend that's exactly like Eve.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_03]: And so, when I first read it, I was like, oh, it's her.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: And so, I just kind of embodied that persona.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_03]: So she knows that.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't see that coming to the bar.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, girl.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I'm Eve.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm your special friend.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_04]: I know you're wondering why your words are in this character.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's so pretty to me.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you for being my friend.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you have a line today, I get one step closer to breastfeeding.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you're holding your go.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I want to be that friend.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Or maybe I want to know that friend though.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to know that friend.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, no it's for cool.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: She sounds fun.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I loved I loved filming this because they allowed a lot of room for improv and just I got to pitch one lineers all the time and it was just really fun laying in bed every night thinking of um
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: Not for me.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like, ovulating lines like that.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: They're for me.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking of horny lines all night.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: One lineers.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: I like that you also just took the weight away from your friend right there and put it all on improv instead.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: Me, wow.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_04]: Can't believe he's gonna be at the premiere.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_04]: I know what you did last summer.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_04]: Like, wait, what?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_04]: No worry about it.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: She shows up pregnant.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_04]: How are you wishing?
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: and we'll be right back right after this.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's Kyle Meredith with Madison Pettis, Hannah Stalking, and Yvonne Orgy.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yvonne, you mentioned a minute ago, the way you go into this, with hope, like when you go into your own shows, with hope and everything.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's when we're looking at a movie here that is satirical, sure.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a lot of those questions, right?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: You've seen the inside.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you believe real love can happen on a show like this?
- 11:58[SPEAKER_04]: I think, for the, I think there are people who come into reality TV with some good intentions and then, you know, maybe similar to my co, my co host producer, they kind of fall into that thing of like, this is what sells.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_04]: And this is what, you know, the show requires our needs for it to be a success and I think sometimes people just fall into that because they're like, well, this is what I'm supposed to do, right?
- 12:24[SPEAKER_04]: And then you have the people who don't do reality because they're like, well, I'm not gonna do that.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_04]: And because I wanna find, I want them to like me for me.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that sometimes people do come in with good intentions and then the lure of what the machine is creates a certain personality and image for better for worse.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_04]: And then I just think some people also just wanna, like, they're 15 minutes of fame and they're like, this is it.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_04]: This is it, this is it and I'm going all the way and baby and so yeah, I think it's just there's some people I mean people say this thing about like comedians, they're like people who have comedians have deep drama or trauma in their past then Yeah, I agree Me now, but it all started when I was three
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: Madison, do you want to remember reading right that you're the one front, you're actually from Texas, right?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, yeah, we haven't really done.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: like how, you get to play the expert, like how, how actually do they get it?
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: Are you called out during the shoot?
- 13:29[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty accurate.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_05]: The only thing is that Vancouver where we filmed it does look a bit different from Paris, Texas.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_05]: There was, we were those beautiful sprawling property and I look at the Pacific Northwest Skyland.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, those mountains are stunning.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_05]: Texas is the flatest state on Earth.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_05]: And now we're going to remove those and post something.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_05]: All right, moving magic, we're good.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we've got it, but everyone's accents are really good.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_05]: If you're some dude to create Southern accent, Miranda's got that twain like if that was really fun, everyone was easy to play off with with the accents.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy to correct that stuff, so if you can get it.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_05]: For sure, yeah, you can go like, really stereotypical with it and it's not authentic.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I feel like everyone did a great job.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Kentucky, there's a version of it I can slip in.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, yeah, different vibes, but yes, still Southern Southern siblings for sure.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_05]: How, what did you like most about the movie?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: What did I like most about the movie it really you know, I'm I'm hitting on it again.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: It really was seeing the different type of characters
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: And just to what extent that they would push themselves in that role.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I enjoyed watching a lot of that.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: I enjoyed watching just the stuff like, you know, knowing how movies are made.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like what you're wondering is the bullwriting, you know, the real.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: And in all of that.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_05]: Real.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_05]: Her knee, her knee muscle stance.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_05]: The core strength that I have.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_05]: It took a lot out of me, Fisher.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: Now, there is a lot of fun parts in this movie, and I really did appreciate that.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate the work that you all put into it as well, and I'm grateful for the time you've given me to ask all about it today too.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Josh.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: Kyle's fun talking to you.
