- 0:14Speaker 2: Uh, it's things as it should. Uh. You know anytime,
- 0:20Speaker 2: you know, losing stings, especially finishing your season like this.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You know, but uh, you know, it just wasn't our year.
- 0:36Speaker 1: What do you feel like?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Say it again, what do you feel like this year
- 0:48Speaker 2: as well? It just kind of feel that way. I mean, yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I mean it wasn't our year because we we we
- 0:56Speaker 2: lost tonight, that's but you know, oh yeah, battling through injury.
- 1:03Speaker 2: We have some ups and downs X Y and Z.
- 1:07Speaker 2: But you know, I'm proud of our guys that came
- 1:09Speaker 2: out and fought. So, you know, still have a lot
- 1:13Speaker 2: to hang our head about just tonight. Just unfortunately it
- 1:17Speaker 2: sucks nothing to talk about right now. But we'll see
- 1:32Speaker 2: how you know, the next steps and you just kind
- 1:35Speaker 2: of sit back and process and and see what the
- 1:40Speaker 2: next steps are.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You know what this summer does that take time to
- 1:47Speaker 1: go after.
- 1:50Speaker 2: He takes on, you know, sit back and kind of
- 1:55Speaker 2: figure it out. But you know, I'm excited. You know,
- 2:00Speaker 2: things didn't go your way this year. Things didn't go
- 2:02Speaker 2: our way this year, and it's unfortunate, but you know,
- 2:07Speaker 2: we we hold our head up regardless losing to the Knicks.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You know, it feels like death. But you know, I
- 2:17Speaker 2: was always taught that there's life after there's life after death.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So we'll we'll get ready for whatever's next, whatever's next
- 2:24Speaker 2: in the journey. I'll be ready.
- 2:26Speaker 1: For the season obviously, and injury things.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Appreciate what you feel back, Yeah, completely, you know it.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You know, finishing it may feels weird, you know, uh,
- 2:51Speaker 2: definitely not something we were prepared for obviously, you know
- 2:56Speaker 2: Jason his injury, et cetera. I'm sure there's you know,
- 3:01Speaker 2: a lot to process, just as everything you know, this
- 3:05Speaker 2: whole year. But you know, we we we'll meet, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 2: we'll take a couple of days as hard like processing
- 3:12Speaker 2: it all right now in real time you're throwing all
- 3:15Speaker 2: these questions at me. But you know, I'm happy that
- 3:18Speaker 2: our group, you know, stayed together. You know, it was
- 3:23Speaker 2: an honor to share the locker room with a lot
- 3:24Speaker 2: of these guys. You know, it hurt to see, you know,
- 3:29Speaker 2: the emotions of all the guys, you know, being the
- 3:33Speaker 2: leader and you know, not being able to carry everybody
- 3:36Speaker 2: to the Promised Land. It sucks, but it just wasn't
- 3:40Speaker 2: our year. I thought we had a great year. I
- 3:50Speaker 2: thought we had a great year. Joe prepared us as
- 3:55Speaker 2: best he could. You know, we we had a great mindset,
- 3:58Speaker 2: we had a great mentality. We just we had some
- 4:04Speaker 2: unfortunate events. We had some injuries and and things like that.
- 4:08Speaker 2: No excuses, but you know, it just wasn't our year
- 4:21Speaker 2: for sure. Uh. You know, KP has been a large
- 4:24Speaker 2: part of our success, our recent success last year, even
- 4:28Speaker 2: going into this year in the playoffs, you know, he
- 4:32Speaker 2: made it wasn't feeling his best, but we appreciate him
- 4:37Speaker 2: getting out there. And KP's as a tough guy. You know,
- 4:41Speaker 2: he's a he has a great mentality, a great approach
- 4:43Speaker 2: about hisself and his game and his body. You know,
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's it's a tough process for everybody, but you know KP,
- 4:50Speaker 2: you know, from an injury perspective, he was available all
- 4:54Speaker 2: year long. You know, he helped us all year long,
- 4:57Speaker 2: and it just unfortunate that it ended this way. You're
- 5:01Speaker 2: used to not winning the championship, that's the lord, right,
- 5:04Speaker 2: So last year you guys do it with feeling.
- 5:07Speaker 1: What does it feel like now coming up short from
- 5:10Speaker 1: here too? For what was what what it feels different
- 5:18Speaker 1: about not winning now now that you actually know what
- 5:21Speaker 1: it's like.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It should, it feels the same. Man, it almost feels worse.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You know, we were trying to do something special, go
- 5:27Speaker 2: back to back. We had a great group. Uh we
- 5:31Speaker 2: played well all year, so I think this probably stings
- 5:34Speaker 2: even more. We just had some unfortunate events, you know,
- 5:38Speaker 2: some injuries. You know, personally, I had some stuff that
- 5:40Speaker 2: I was persevering through and it just you know, it
- 5:45Speaker 2: caught up to us.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And then.
- 5:47Speaker 2: To play what made this continue on? Just such a
- 5:51Speaker 2: joint play with just a bunch of great guys, you know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: a bunch of you know, great selfless guys about winning.
- 6:01Speaker 2: You know that you know, put their bodies on the line,
- 6:04Speaker 2: that came into work every day that you know, just
- 6:08Speaker 2: just added to the group. Yeah, no situations, no headaches,
- 6:12Speaker 2: you know, no turmoil or anything like that. And you
- 6:16Speaker 2: know that's most important that our group was. We had
- 6:19Speaker 2: a bunch of great days together. It just it didn't
- 6:23Speaker 2: we didn't win in there.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Just do you kind of knock back to do you
- 6:32Speaker 1: have you served as motivation?
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's just kind of a it's a bad.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Are motivating.
- 6:40Speaker 2: The franchise putting.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Back this is this could be.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Absolutely I don't I don't make no excuses Obviously it's
- 6:52Speaker 2: tough the way we went out like tonight, but uh,
- 6:54Speaker 2: the way we finished the year personally, when I finished
- 6:56Speaker 2: the year, you know, persevering through some you know, some
- 6:59Speaker 2: physical stuff that I was battling through. You know, I'm
- 7:03Speaker 2: proud of our group. I thought that, you know, we fought,
- 7:06Speaker 2: you know, we was in a lot of battles, and uh,
- 7:10Speaker 2: it's a lot to be excited for. This journey is
- 7:13Speaker 2: not the end. It's not the end for me. I'm
- 7:15Speaker 2: looking forward to coming back stronger, you know, So you know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: you just take this with the chin up, you know.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I know, Boston, you know, it's it looks gloomy right now,
- 7:26Speaker 2: you know, obviously with JT being now and us you know,
- 7:30Speaker 2: kind of ending the year. But it's a lot to
- 7:33Speaker 2: look forward for. It's a lot to look forward to,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and uh, I want, uh the city to feel excited
- 7:41Speaker 2: about that. Like we this is not the end, so
- 7:44Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to what's next there.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You
