- 0:00I'm gonna be telling you 5 facts for surviving a pumpkin patch.
- 0:04This Halloween with people on the Spectrum coming up.
- 0:07Hey, guys, welcome back to the ask me worldwide only discussing
- 0:10five hacks that I've kind of developed or come to create.
- 0:14I'm going to help you in surviving the pumpkin patch
- 0:17thing because it's Halloween. Everybody wants to go check out
- 0:20pumpkin patches and all that kind of jazz.
- 0:22So let's go down with it. Okay guys dang.
- 0:24It's so good. It's so close to Halloween.
- 0:26I think it's like Monday that the 21st October Halloween is
- 0:30like really close. I know you're not watching this
- 0:31on 21st, but this is when this video was shot.
- 0:33It's cool. I love Halloween is like my
- 0:35favorite time of year where I just feel like people are just
- 0:39having a lot more fun with things and then like it's just a
- 0:41bit weird. We can talk about like those
- 0:42stories and all that kind of jazz, but it has no real
- 0:44relevance on you know reality because it's just a bit of fun
- 0:49and that being said, I also understand the importance of
- 0:52having a Halloween witch is safe and I'm happy for everybody
- 0:57inclusive. So it's all about inclusivity
- 0:59and on this. We talked about all the things
- 1:01that we can do to make life easier and better for people on
- 1:03the Spectrum. So I've come up with with five
- 1:05things five hacks that I think that we need to know to remember
- 1:08that this is going to help people on the Spectrum when
- 1:11going like pumpkin patches because I want to do something a
- 1:13bit different. So I want to do something
- 1:14completely different and talk about going to Pumpkin Patches
- 1:17because I feel like this is something that missed, you know,
- 1:19we all want to go and get our pumpkins at pumpkin patches or
- 1:22wherever we go to get a pumpkins and there's always some issue
- 1:26that could arise or spring up and the could be something that
- 1:28somebody on the Spectrum Doesn't like here are my five hacks for
- 1:31dealing with that and I think that you guys are going to
- 1:33really enjoy I'm going to drive them to a pump.
- 1:35Let's get into it. Okay, the first one above
- 1:38Everything plan ahead planning ahead is going to be so much
- 1:43benefit for anybody because what you're doing is you're planning
- 1:46ahead you're saying okay. We're going to go this time.
- 1:48We're going to go, you know that time we're going to put this in
- 1:51the car we're going to take you know, you know Dad mum, you
- 1:54know, the kids are whoever's on Spectrum as well as the parents.
- 1:57Are you plan everything out? So basically planning out the
- 1:59route, Pulling out like you know, how many pumpkins you're
- 2:01going to get. So there's no disappointment
- 2:03because one thing is you need some like list of what you're
- 2:07going to do people on the Spectrum like things to run
- 2:09smoother like them to run in a fashion in a linear format
- 2:13because the ambiguity of things going wrong can really impact
- 2:17the lives of money on the Spectrum.
- 2:19So what I say to do is make a plan plan out the day if you're
- 2:22going to spend a day going to Pumpkin Patch if you have to
- 2:24travel a little bit to get to one of your closest ones because
- 2:26I know not all pumpkin patches are local to everybody.
- 2:29So So plan it out. If you're not going to the
- 2:32pumpkin patch and you go into a store do the exact same thing.
- 2:35These will apply to a store scenario as well.
- 2:37So you plan out your day you plant the morning.
- 2:39You tell every what they're going to expect to happen
- 2:42because the ambiguity is another big thing.
- 2:43So if you don't like if you don't tell someone what's going
- 2:45to happen, like we're going to go there we're going to pick two
- 2:47pumpkins. Maybe the person who is on the
- 2:49Spectrum. We want to get three pumpkins,
- 2:51but that don't understand why you're only buying two pumpkins
- 2:53or if you know, there could be a level of confusion and that
- 2:57anger frustration there, which I think can be definitely avoid It
- 3:00massively avoided and I would highly recommend every void, you
- 3:03know, any kind of unnecessary anxiety or stress or anything
- 3:06like that. So plan ahead make sure
- 3:07everybody knows and then make that list you got my plant list,
- 3:11you know exactly what to do, whatever time and also like
- 3:14everything else. I say you make a plan B and a
- 3:16plan C in case the things don't fall into perfect sync because
- 3:20you don't want to have like an upset issue where it goes off
- 3:24plan and you don't have a plan b or c and then it's going to get
- 3:26really really sticky. Okay.
- 3:28So hack number two. Two is preparing lunch and
- 3:32snacks like one of the biggest things for me and I think like
- 3:35every can agree deal with people on the spectrum.
- 3:37Is that like if you don't eat at certain times, then it becomes
- 3:40like a really big issue like you could knock your entire day.
- 3:44I know for instance, like if if you're hungry it's going to turn
- 3:47into hungry but hungry for someone on the spectrum is kind
- 3:50of like really intense and I can't explain that feeling but
- 3:53it just isn't anybody out there watching this and got kids on
- 3:55the Spectrum when you think like, oh you miss a meal or you
- 3:57miss a snack, you know, there's some consequences.
- 4:00So I highly advise everybody to plan out how they are going to
- 4:03do their food. Like you know, what I would say
- 4:06is that you bring a packed lunch with you and then you bring
- 4:08snacks as well so that even if you're stuck in traffic on the
- 4:10way to the pumpkin patch or you're around other people and
- 4:12it's like lunchtime anything in. Oh my goodness.
- 4:14You know how we're going to do you want a date to go smooth as
- 4:16possible. You want to be prepared?
- 4:17So bring a lunch with you even if that you end up going to like
- 4:21somewhere else and to sit down and eat at lunch.
- 4:22If you don't manage that and you have to do there and then you
- 4:26have that option that is always one of the the make like to me
- 4:29if 'well if people are and not preparing lunch and not bring
- 4:32snacks then becomes difficult because in another thing added
- 4:35to your list, you know, if something goes wrong and then
- 4:38you're left with like oh, this is gone wrong.
- 4:40Oh goodness. You're not now we're going to be
- 4:42late and will be delayed getting food where we going to get food
- 4:45from where we going to get lunch from and we're gonna sit becomes
- 4:47a huge catastrophe and then you have complete chaos that's going
- 4:50to about to unveil so like if you are the mop up basically the
- 4:55this is the line the more prepared you are with every
- 4:57situation the better the experience is going to become
- 4:59Includes lunch and snacks and everybody can benefit from that
- 5:03a it's tidy for your mind. It's better for the day and it's
- 5:06helpful your wallet always a thumbs up.
- 5:08Okay guys hack number three is cool be aware that there may be
- 5:12other people and noise. So like this is one of the
- 5:15things I always forget when I go somewhere there's there's loads
- 5:18of people so I think I'll shoot. You know, I should have brought
- 5:20my my a defending headphones. I should have brought like
- 5:23another coat of mirror hoodie or sunglasses or something and I
- 5:25always forget but you have to be aware that when you go into a
- 5:29pumpkin patch, What to expect what do you expect when you get
- 5:31their world expect it's going to be it could be tractors going
- 5:34around there. There could be other animals on
- 5:35the farm that could be like bad smells from those animals
- 5:37because you know, they're just animals in today.
- 5:39There could be a hundred people trying to pick out their
- 5:41pumpkins and maybe other kids and Rowdy people could be groups
- 5:45of people having fun and a lot of pumpkin patches have kind of
- 5:48like a small like Fairground thing that goes on there like
- 5:51the, you know, the kids can go and play and there's different
- 5:53things going on and it's like kind of like a fair like an
- 5:55attraction thing not just going out and picking up pumpkin.
- 5:57So just bear that in mind and Be aware that those things will
- 6:01happen and also, you know explain after the person who's
- 6:04on the Spectrum before going there what to expect from that
- 6:06place because the unexpected that's going to cause you all
- 6:09that like paying and issues and then Mountain potential
- 6:12everything else and all that stuff which isn't good.
- 6:14So if you actually have a in outlined a basic idea the
- 6:19thought process that this is what we may expect anything else
- 6:24would be a bonus. So always go in with like the
- 6:25things that you want to happen to be noise.
- 6:27It could be bad smells like that could be loads of people and all
- 6:29that kind of stuff. Because if you don't and they
- 6:31expect it to be completely fine and empty and you know, people
- 6:34expect that people on the Spectrum.
- 6:35I just going to know you know what you're thinking that's not
- 6:38how it works people on the Spectrum think well, you're one
- 6:41of the pumpkin patch to pick up pumpkins.
- 6:42We've only mentioned a pumpkin patch and pumpkins and my family
- 6:45members and that's all you kind of Envision.
- 6:47I'm sure like, I would until someone says, oh you gotta
- 6:49remember that could be other people and you go.
- 6:51Okay. And so it's that thought process
- 6:54that is going to be the game changer.
- 6:56So be aware and make sure you do that.
- 6:58I'm telling our guys. That's a game changer.
- 7:00Okay, guys number four is bringing a change of clothes.
- 7:04This is like okay may seem like a bit of a weird one, but this
- 7:06is but hear me out hear me out. Okay, so and even I do this,
- 7:09okay, so sometimes I go places and I just love what I'm
- 7:13wearing. I'm like, I'm really comfortable
- 7:14what I'm wearing. I like really comfortable and
- 7:16because picking clothes is like a thing that I do and the
- 7:19clothes that I wear have to be comfortable takes me a while to
- 7:21get trained change in the morning get ready and the
- 7:23feeling of that day has to reflect the feeling of the
- 7:25clothes on me. So when I'm out and about if
- 7:29something happens Like a spill something on my clothes and I'll
- 7:32have a change in me. I'm like, oh my goodness.
- 7:33It's a completely ruined and I can like flip especially for
- 7:35getting wet or dirty. It's like it it's not a good
- 7:38combination. So my advice is this bring a
- 7:40change of clothes with you for the person who is on the
- 7:42spectrum because simple things like if you're going to a farm
- 7:45or a pumpkin patch, there may be a possibility that you are going
- 7:49to get a little bit muddy a little bit dirty a little bit
- 7:53wet. Maybe maybe it's raining, you
- 7:55know, all those things can can trigger some of the inspection
- 7:59what we're trying to do. He will try to do with
- 8:00everything in life is we're trying to reduce the amount of
- 8:02triggers reduce the amount of stress reducing a lot of
- 8:04negative outcomes so that you feel way better and you can go
- 8:07about your day with a bit more ease that is super super
- 8:11interesting just try it and this is a hack.
- 8:13I mean not just for like this video but like going forward why
- 8:17not try and like go to like a anywhere but bring a change of
- 8:24clothes at you because you always have that like I don't
- 8:26worry about this at I know if this gets dirty or what Can rely
- 8:30on the back up close so cool idea OK guys.
- 8:32So that brings me to the fifth thing that I'm going to tell you
- 8:35guys V hack if you will. Have fun.
- 8:39Remember that going to a pumpkin patch and picking up pumpkins
- 8:41are doing anything halloween-related.
- 8:42This is all for fun. It shouldn't be a stress.
- 8:44It shouldn't be something that is negative.
- 8:46It should be a task. We should be a chore.
- 8:47It should be. Hey, we're in the family going
- 8:49to go hang out. We're going to do this.
- 8:52We're going to do that and it's going to be great using those
- 8:54tactics. I just told you and have fun
- 8:56with it because if you're worrying about all these things,
- 8:59You never going to have fun, but you need to remember to have fun
- 9:02and I think like a lot of people forget this.
- 9:05I think that's like one of the main things that people forget.
- 9:07So take my advice down from the astral world says have fun this
- 9:11year at Halloween in the pumpkin patch or wherever you are and
- 9:13I'll see you next time guys. Peace.
