- 1:46Speaker 4: change your space in a matter of minutes.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Ktoz blinds dot com. All right, still crushing it on
- 1:52Speaker 2: the trampoline outside with those roll up shades.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yes, I mean it's all like it's like we got
- 1:58Speaker 4: that backpatio with the kind of the a baby trampoline.
- 2:03Speaker 4: It's bigger than that, but like fits on the patio.
- 2:06Speaker 4: We dropped the screen. We could watch it from the
- 2:08Speaker 4: living room. It's awesome, really cool, stay clean. Rub was
- 2:13Speaker 4: still skin all right. I got the numbers.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You got the numbers, so wide receivers. I got the numbers.
- 2:19Speaker 4: At least five receivers played one hundred and ninety seven
- 2:24Speaker 4: snaps or more. Okay, So you had Wallace was the
- 2:28Speaker 4: leader at four forty two. Stribbling was second at four
- 2:32Speaker 4: oh four. Lee was third with three forty four deuce.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Alexander played three twenty eight, and then you had Watkins
- 2:40Speaker 4: play one hundred and ninety seven. Then you had some
- 2:43Speaker 4: other receivers that played like twenty one and seventeen eighteen
- 2:46Speaker 4: nineteen plays. So you had five receivers that played one
- 2:49Speaker 4: hundred and ninety seven or more snaps. Okay, not as
- 2:55Speaker 4: big of a spread as I was thinking that there
- 2:58Speaker 4: could be. My theory was because again, if you're just
- 3:02Speaker 4: joining us, we are talking about how the wide receiver
- 3:05Speaker 4: rotation's going to be in the fall. For the LSU Tigers,
- 3:07Speaker 4: there's twelve receivers in the receiver room, and if y'all
- 3:12Speaker 4: remember the portal onedow, it was like we were signing
- 3:14Speaker 4: receiver every single day. It seems like, so it's a
- 3:18Speaker 4: big room, it's bigger than normal room. How's that rotation
- 3:21Speaker 4: going to work out?
- 3:21Speaker 2: And so I had a theory because Lane Kiffin's offense
- 3:27Speaker 2: goes so fast, maybe there's rotational groups of receivers because
- 3:33Speaker 2: when you go fast, the reason why you can go
- 3:35Speaker 2: so fast is because you never sub in and out.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Like once you sub, the refs can come hold the
- 3:40Speaker 2: ball stop with all you got to give the defense
- 3:42Speaker 2: time to sub as well to match your sub. But
- 3:46Speaker 2: if you don't sub, that's how you can go fast
- 3:48Speaker 2: and you create advantage. So, of course, if you're in
- 3:52Speaker 2: the past game, the wid receivers are running NonStop. They're
- 3:55Speaker 2: running non stop sprints with very little rest. Can you
- 3:58Speaker 2: imagine going and running a forty years spread, coming back
- 4:01Speaker 2: with eight seconds rest and doing it again, Like that's
- 4:04Speaker 2: the kind of conditioning that those receivers are going to be.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So I had the theory of, like, okay, rotation one
- 4:09Speaker 2: receivers goes in one drive, empty the tank, they get
- 4:12Speaker 2: twenty twenty five minutes of rest because rotation two is
- 4:14Speaker 2: gonna come in during the next But with the stats
- 4:18Speaker 2: from ole Miss being only with five receivers with one
- 4:21Speaker 2: hundred and ninety plus snaps and then I think the
- 4:23Speaker 2: rest you said were like in the teens, in the
- 4:24Speaker 2: twenties and something like that, that does not my theories busted.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So there's just gonna be there's gonna be a lot
- 4:31Speaker 2: of guys left out. Sorry guys, y'all transfer to for nothing? Yeah? Sorry, guys.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Well that was kind of my point, Like, you know,
- 4:40Speaker 4: you've got a lot of these players that you brought
- 4:43Speaker 4: in and that's fine, but at some point you are
- 4:47Speaker 4: going to want to kind of shore everything up and
- 4:50Speaker 4: have the numbers where might maybe it's six guys like
- 4:52Speaker 4: you were talking about earlier that have an opportunity to
- 4:56Speaker 4: play in. That sixth guy he just might be you know,
- 4:59Speaker 4: a war daddy on teams and he can help you
- 5:02Speaker 4: out if you need him. Because now you talk about
- 5:05Speaker 4: it from a quarterback perspective, because I don't know that world.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You obviously do.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Is there something too, like you wanting to know who's
- 5:13Speaker 4: going to be in there most of the time, because
- 5:16Speaker 4: I don't know if you had eight guys that are
- 5:18Speaker 4: rotating in and this guy's got to run a digro oute,
- 5:21Speaker 4: well dig rot is a digro out, I get it,
- 5:23Speaker 4: but people are going to run that differently.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You want to know, Yes, you want to have that
- 5:28Speaker 2: physical like that chemistry with receivers. Understanding their body language
- 5:33Speaker 2: is a huge thing, understanding how they get in and
- 5:36Speaker 2: out of breaks. There's some receivers out there that are
- 5:39Speaker 2: very talented, but they're really hard to throw to because
- 5:43Speaker 2: they don't their body language is hard to read. You
- 5:46Speaker 2: don't know which angle they're coming out of their break.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They're really good ones. You know exactly what they're doing
- 5:54Speaker 2: when they stick their foot in the ground yep. And
- 5:57Speaker 2: they're very consistent at that. So, but you want to
- 5:59Speaker 2: know all those things. And now what I learned when
- 6:06Speaker 2: I was playing in the NFL, when I was bouncing
- 6:09Speaker 2: around teams, I had an offensive quarterator that said, look,
- 6:12Speaker 2: you're a professional football player. Yeah. I was like, it
- 6:14Speaker 2: doesn't matter if who's out there at receiver. You have
- 6:19Speaker 2: to get to where it's the point where you can
- 6:21Speaker 2: immediately instantly recognize and judge angles and speeds. So it
- 6:24Speaker 2: doesn't matter if the fastest guy out there is running
- 6:26Speaker 2: or out or somebody that's eighty five years old, you
- 6:29Speaker 2: should be able to hit them and shride because you
- 6:31Speaker 2: got to judge their angles and speed. So you know,
- 6:33Speaker 2: you get to that point. I would say the biggest
- 6:36Speaker 2: chemistry and the biggest trust factor that comes with that,
- 6:42Speaker 2: and I'm going to keep I'm gonna air quote the
- 6:44Speaker 2: chemistry thing. Yeah, the quarterback trust the receiver who's going
- 6:47Speaker 2: to be in the right place at the right time,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and understand the concept what they're trying to get accomplished.
- 6:53Speaker 2: On offense, They're going to understand what the defense is
- 6:56Speaker 2: trying to get accomplished and know how to beat that.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's not just the guy like you can't find you
- 7:01Speaker 2: can't trust the guy that just runs exactly what the
- 7:03Speaker 2: playbook says, the exact way every single time he runs
- 7:06Speaker 2: at full speed. There's not many routes out there that
- 7:09Speaker 2: get run completely full speed. It's not like you're you're
- 7:13Speaker 2: the forty yard dash for receivers a little bit misleading
- 7:17Speaker 2: because not there's not a lot of times a receiver
- 7:19Speaker 2: has to run a four to three during a football game, right.
- 7:22Speaker 2: They have to understand because sometimes you can over overrun
- 7:26Speaker 2: a window, out run a window, you can get to
- 7:28Speaker 2: the spot, like if you're number three in the progression,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you can't be running a four to three.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's which we talked about with Aaron Anderson
- 7:36Speaker 4: last year. Yeah, how to kind of glide into those windows,
- 7:40Speaker 4: slow down, speed up, whatever he had to do.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yep. Now my Aarn Anderson take has gone a little cold.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I don't think he's gonna be the first LSU Tiger
- 7:48Speaker 2: drafted this year. Well, look run it to myself for
- 7:52Speaker 2: a minute.
- 7:53Speaker 4: They also didn't help him out very much either. No,
- 7:57Speaker 4: a didn't help our guys.
- 7:58Speaker 2: But yeah, that's uh, that that's kind of what it is.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's but the air quote chemistry can be worked on
- 8:05Speaker 2: with all twelve guys, like I expect every every single
- 8:08Speaker 2: quarterback should be able to hit every single all twelve
- 8:11Speaker 2: of those receivers in stride on every single pass route
- 8:15Speaker 2: in routes on air in individuals and seven on seven
- 8:18Speaker 2: versus air. It's the guys that are gonna play that
- 8:22Speaker 2: build that trust because they're in the right place at
- 8:24Speaker 2: the right time. They understand what's trying to be accomplished
- 8:27Speaker 2: within the offense, they understand what the defense is trying
- 8:29Speaker 2: to do, and they are in the right place every time.
- 8:33Speaker 2: And that's what the that's how the real chemistry and
- 8:36Speaker 2: that trust is built between quarterback and receiver and offensive
- 8:40Speaker 2: coordinator and receiving. Oh for sure, I.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Mean it, but it applies to every position. Like it's
- 8:45Speaker 4: so a running back. It's not just like certain runs,
- 8:48Speaker 4: like you're gonna have runs that you run better. I
- 8:50Speaker 4: felt like I ran gap scheme runs you know, well
- 8:53Speaker 4: with something like powers and counters.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I like that.
- 8:57Speaker 4: You know zones, you gotta have a feel for a
- 8:58Speaker 4: zone without question, Like you got to be able to
- 9:00Speaker 4: see the backside cut without seeing it.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You have to feel it.
- 9:04Speaker 4: It's like coaches know, at least they should who does
- 9:07Speaker 4: the who you know who does that? Well, who's gonna
- 9:09Speaker 4: run zone extra and know exactly where to go without
- 9:12Speaker 4: having to see it. Also like running backs and running
- 9:15Speaker 4: routes all right, it was like, well, this guy runs
- 9:18Speaker 4: a rail route really well, can't you know, can't run
- 9:21Speaker 4: an angle to save his life.
- 9:22Speaker 2: But he can run. So you have to as a coach.
- 9:25Speaker 4: You have to find ways to get that guy on
- 9:27Speaker 4: that route and also not do what fall into tendencies.
- 9:30Speaker 4: And every time Eighteen's in there, that guy's running a
- 9:32Speaker 4: rail route. Like you got to be smart about it.
- 9:35Speaker 4: And I remember in two thousand and seven we would
- 9:37Speaker 4: always talk about it because, well, Croton put me in
- 9:42Speaker 4: a fullback and the ball's coming to me, you know
- 9:44Speaker 4: what I mean.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Like it's like we got to find something different. I
- 9:47Speaker 2: remember it was Josh Henson.
- 9:50Speaker 4: It was like, hey, Gary, like every time eighteen's in
- 9:53Speaker 4: a fullback, we're giving him the ball, Like we gotta
- 9:56Speaker 4: he's gotta do some blocking.
- 9:57Speaker 2: We gotta do some things to switch it up. He's
- 9:59Speaker 2: got to be like a ummy.
- 10:00Speaker 4: So like I would motion and just run a rail
- 10:03Speaker 4: and you would throw it underneath that. Because people were
- 10:05Speaker 4: starting to bail with that and we started to do
- 10:07Speaker 4: some of those things because you do something well, that's
- 10:10Speaker 4: the part of it. Okay, Now the coach has got
- 10:12Speaker 4: to do something well and marry that with you know,
- 10:16Speaker 4: getting you the ball, but not falling into those tendencies
- 10:18Speaker 4: where every time you're in this position you're doing this,
- 10:20Speaker 4: and so like that's the chess match of making sure
- 10:23Speaker 4: you have the right playmakers and the.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Right play Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake. Just remember, don't fall
- 10:27Speaker 2: into the trap that people try to do. People on
- 10:30Speaker 2: defense are not very smart. You can you can overthink
- 10:34Speaker 2: it as an offensive. You could chase some ghosts because
- 10:38Speaker 2: you're like, there's no way they're not going to figure
- 10:40Speaker 2: this out. But you gotta remember, defensive people are just
- 10:44Speaker 2: just flat out dumb.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yeah I got a depth and the uh I got
- 10:51Speaker 5: this gap?
- 10:51Speaker 2: I got that gap? Which way did he go?
- 10:53Speaker 4: That's how That's how I feel like Bobby Carpenter's season offense,
- 10:57Speaker 4: no question.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I got this gap or yep, yeah I'm not. And
- 11:02Speaker 2: if you play on defense or you coach defense, I
- 11:04Speaker 2: don't apologize you're dumb. We love you, Blake, do love
- 11:12Speaker 2: you Blake, and we know that you can't get on
- 11:15Speaker 2: the microphone to defend yourself either. That's right, that's right
- 11:18Speaker 2: because Lane doesn't let you talk to the media. I
- 11:24Speaker 2: think you're talking to you know in real life.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I've got to get a breakdown. One time we were
- 11:34Speaker 4: doing radio. Ben Hartsock, who played Forever in the NFL
- 11:37Speaker 4: was with with me and he did like a whole
- 11:39Speaker 4: like three minute bit on defensive guys and how not
- 11:44Speaker 4: smart they are.
- 11:45Speaker 2: It was electric. It's good, we love you defensive guys.
- 11:54Speaker 2: We're just kidding somewhat. Did you see that? Okay I don't.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Did you see that tweet? Was it a week or
- 12:04Speaker 2: two ago by Antonio Brown about DJ Pickett?
- 12:07Speaker 6: Yes, he said you have to have the worst hands
- 12:11Speaker 6: in the world to be a six to five corner.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yeah. I said you must have the worst hands in
- 12:15Speaker 2: the world if you're a six five corner. I don't
- 12:19Speaker 2: know if that's true or not, but it was really funny.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I didn't want to laugh at like an LSU guy
- 12:23Speaker 2: about that, but like it feels about somebody else, it
- 12:25Speaker 2: be really funny. Yeah, that's probably true.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Also, I can say, though, to defend DJ, there's not
- 12:34Speaker 4: many six four corners walking this earth either.
- 12:36Speaker 2: No, that's because I think the point that Antonio Brown
- 12:39Speaker 2: was making usually you're a receiver at.
- 12:42Speaker 4: That point if you're a six y four six y five, right,
- 12:44Speaker 4: But I think he's made himself. He's going to make
- 12:47Speaker 4: himself some dollar dollar bills because of his lengthy and.
- 12:50Speaker 2: The joke for defensive backs as always, it's their failed
- 12:53Speaker 2: receivers most of them. Yeah, which that's not true, but
- 12:57Speaker 2: that's the joke. Okay, take these things too seriously. Not
- 13:04Speaker 2: all defensive people are doing. How's all ab doing? Pretty good?
- 13:07Speaker 6: Pretty strong, very controversial, but pretty entertaining on Twitter as well.
- 13:15Speaker 6: I mean, that's just it's got a lot of awards
- 13:16Speaker 6: he likes to give out he does.
- 13:21Speaker 2: What are those? Yeah, I can't remember. Now you can't remember?
- 13:25Speaker 2: I got you? Who is Taylor? Who are the top guys?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Is there any is there any distinction at practice right
- 13:40Speaker 2: now of who the air quote top receivers are?
- 13:45Speaker 6: Well, I mean it was it was Jackson Harris and
- 13:49Speaker 6: Jason Brown, but again yesterday Jason Brown down at the
- 13:52Speaker 6: second team because Malik Elsey has made play after play.
- 13:56Speaker 6: Say what do I mean you listen to anybody that's
- 14:00Speaker 6: been you turn on the highlights that LSU's posting. Roman
- 14:03Speaker 6: mother shit, the six to five receiver from Troy. Seems
- 14:07Speaker 6: like he always makes plays and like he hasn't ran
- 14:09Speaker 6: with the first team a lot. He's been more second
- 14:12Speaker 6: team running with who's on Long Street? But he continues
- 14:15Speaker 6: to make plays. I mean, there's there's four or five
- 14:17Speaker 6: guys out there, But I mean Jackson Harris has kind
- 14:20Speaker 6: of been the most constant as far as the ones,
- 14:22Speaker 6: the big transfer from Hawaii, So I mean, maybe that's
- 14:26Speaker 6: like your guy, but there's four or five guys out
- 14:28Speaker 6: there right now that have kind of.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Separated, and it is there are there separation As far
- 14:36Speaker 2: as reps. He think it can't be separational reps. That's
- 14:39Speaker 2: kind of pretty reps. Though.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Again, until yesterday, you're starting three was Jason Brown, Jackson, Aris, Winston,
- 14:46Speaker 6: Watchetts hadn't changed a ton. I mean, you saw a
- 14:48Speaker 6: little bit of Eugene Wilson in there, sprinkled here and there, but.
- 14:52Speaker 7: It was kind of those three.
- 14:53Speaker 6: Like Elsie entering that starting lineup was kind of the
- 14:56Speaker 6: surprise of practice just because.
- 14:57Speaker 7: He had been there.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And let's not get it twist either. You got twelve
- 15:00Speaker 2: receivers fighting for playtime, but Trade has Green is gonna
- 15:03Speaker 2: be He's gonna be out there, He's gonna be playing
- 15:05Speaker 2: the receiver position.
- 15:07Speaker 4: He was about to Yeah, he was about to come
- 15:09Speaker 4: up for me as well. Because we're talking about trust,
- 15:11Speaker 4: we're talking about route running and guys that the quarterback
- 15:14Speaker 4: can go out there and say Okay, I know this
- 15:15Speaker 4: guy's going to go make a play for me.
- 15:17Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what any of these receivers do.
- 15:20Speaker 4: And I don't say that in a bad way, but
- 15:23Speaker 4: they're not going to be trade as Green. He's a
- 15:26Speaker 4: cheat code. He's a unicorn. H He's going to be
- 15:30Speaker 4: that guy. He is absolutely a cheek code.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:35Speaker 6: So so going back to that, Matt, I know there's
- 15:38Speaker 6: just been this tight end discussion with Kenyon Sadik in
- 15:41Speaker 6: the NFL trade as has a good year, lines up,
- 15:44Speaker 6: a tight end, lines up outside, would you take him
- 15:47Speaker 6: in the first round?
- 15:50Speaker 2: Trade as.
- 15:52Speaker 6: Like, let's say he has you're trying to get me,
- 15:55Speaker 6: let's say he has eight hundred yards, eight touchdowns, lines
- 15:59Speaker 6: up inside, lines abouts.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I know what you're doing, and I respect it because
- 16:04Speaker 2: I said I wouldn't take tight ends or corners in
- 16:06Speaker 2: the first round. That's why I've I have postured my
- 16:10Speaker 2: position to say he's basically a receiver, right and I've
- 16:14Speaker 2: also said that he's going to be. He could be
- 16:16Speaker 2: if they utilize him correctly and we have good luck
- 16:20Speaker 2: with health, that he could be the most dominant offensive
- 16:24Speaker 2: player in college football next year. So yes, because of me,
- 16:31Speaker 2: wisely saying he's going to be basically received. Now he's not.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Let's see, we'll we'll see how many like I'm not
- 16:41Speaker 2: going to discern between a why tied end and what
- 16:45Speaker 2: was the other one you used? And why for us
- 16:49Speaker 2: was a fullback because it starts with that letter. Well
- 16:51Speaker 2: the f was just and the offense it's twelve ferson.
- 16:55Speaker 4: No, it was developed a full back. Then it changed
- 17:01Speaker 4: a little bit, but just the letter in our offense.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, m offense didn't win many playoff games, number
- 17:15Speaker 2: one offense in the NFL twice so regular season. Yeah,
- 17:19Speaker 2: weird is what it is.
- 17:23Speaker 4: We're still the bush league bolts that didn't go away.
- 17:27Speaker 4: We can put us some yards in points ball. All right,
- 17:30Speaker 4: we'll take a break. Uh more otb uh luger this right?
- 17:38Speaker 7: What does it say?
- 17:39Speaker 2: Uh? Are great friends over at? Uh? Sure? All right?
- 17:45Speaker 2: Why not? I'm down for a good time more OTV
- 17:48Speaker 2: when we come back.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Off the bench, and I'm gonna enjoy some I school
- 17:53Speaker 4: those seconds during that good time. It's Friday, so you
- 17:56Speaker 4: know Tiger's playing the Rebels in Oxford.
- 18:00Speaker 2: You're gonna watch that with nothing in your hand?
- 18:03Speaker 4: I hope you're gonna watch that with an ice cold
- 18:06Speaker 4: dose Sekis in your hand. It's always a great time
- 18:09Speaker 4: to go for dose. Current in the future. In the
- 18:15Speaker 4: past doesn't matter. At the timeline, it's always a great
- 18:18Speaker 4: time to have an ice cold do sechi.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So go for dose.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Enjoy the weekend, enjoy the baseball, and enjoy the refreshing.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, every time it's a good time. You're like, oh no, Matt,
- 18:29Speaker 2: it's only eight point fifteen, you can't drink beer. Well,
- 18:31Speaker 2: maybe you're at the airport. Then you can drink beer
- 18:34Speaker 2: at anytime during the day because it doesn't matter. The
- 18:37Speaker 2: rules of time do not matter at the airport. That's
- 18:39Speaker 2: a great beer. You're gonna do it. Make sure you're
- 18:41Speaker 2: drinking responsibly. But get ready for that weekend with that
- 18:45Speaker 2: ice cold, delicious Mexican lager with a fresh squeeze lime,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and my goodness, I can taste it now. Drink do
- 18:51Speaker 2: sexis do sickies?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers? This is off to bend cheap there,
- 19:02Speaker 1: who's all on my own?
- 19:07Speaker 2: I had a heart there, but the.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Queen has been overthrow.
- 19:15Speaker 2: And I'm not sleeping.
- 19:19Speaker 4: The dog gets too hot to beat and I'm not keeping.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Its start me to bus.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Me you show them license stopping to stop me shine
- 19:36Speaker 5: when I.
- 19:39Speaker 6: So much.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Dreaming my last.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Speah live golf people, yeah, lib golf, Hey Landra. What
- 19:53Speaker 2: kind of genre would you say this is?
- 19:55Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I have a hard time with a lot of new music.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Besides which genre it goes into. This is like the
- 20:04Speaker 2: same genre of like dua lipa. But I'm like, what
- 20:07Speaker 2: is she? Is she pop? I think so like dance
- 20:11Speaker 2: pop just has such like a bad connotation to me.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I guess maybe just because I grew up in the
- 20:17Speaker 2: nineties about dirty pop. I mean that's what it is.
- 20:28Speaker 2: It is popular.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that's pop.
- 20:31Speaker 4: I think.
- 20:33Speaker 2: That's a big just a big category.
- 20:35Speaker 7: It is so many things can be pop.
- 20:40Speaker 2: We need to create a new category. What would you
- 20:43Speaker 2: put this under? I don't know. We need to create one.
- 20:45Speaker 2: We didn't make one up.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Vibes vibes pop, no, little pop, little techno pop no, Okay, I.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Don't hate it. I don't hate it either. I don't
- 20:55Speaker 2: love it. I think.
- 20:57Speaker 7: Or top techno.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Stop you going to just make it worse. Yeah, you were,
- 21:02Speaker 2: you were good. You were in a pocket.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Now the Texedos are seeming a little messed up.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Our Little Master's Update. Wyndham Clark is through four and
- 21:19Speaker 2: it's three under on his round. See is birdied three
- 21:22Speaker 2: of the first four holes. Which is the guys on
- 21:24Speaker 2: Friday who are playing in the morning, they're the guys
- 21:26Speaker 2: that played in the afternoon on Thursday. So the guys
- 21:29Speaker 2: that played in the morning yesterday, we'll play in the
- 21:32Speaker 2: afternoon today. And with no rain in the forecast, these
- 21:35Speaker 2: afternoons are going to be the hardest time to play.
- 21:38Speaker 2: That's when the winds start to pick up. That's when
- 21:40Speaker 2: these greens will dry out and become very hard. And
- 21:44Speaker 2: if you know anything about Augusta National, the greens have
- 21:47Speaker 2: a lot of different levels, a lot of different hills.
- 21:49Speaker 2: There's a lot of different little platforms that they'll put
- 21:51Speaker 2: these greens on. You have to hit the right spots
- 21:53Speaker 2: of the green. The morning is going to be traditionally
- 21:57Speaker 2: the times you're gonna get the best scores. So it's
- 22:01Speaker 2: their time to shine. So Wyndham Clark, who was a
- 22:04Speaker 2: former I believe it was US Open, if I'm not mistaken.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Winter kind of came out of nowhere a couple of
- 22:09Speaker 2: years ago. Been a really good player, been on the
- 22:11Speaker 2: US Ryder Cup team, he has. He is three hundred
- 22:16Speaker 2: three four. One of these guys that played in the
- 22:18Speaker 2: afternoon yesterday wasn't able to put up a good red number,
- 22:24Speaker 2: but he stayed even part yesterday, played well. He just
- 22:27Speaker 2: was hitting his spots on the green yesterday, but with
- 22:30Speaker 2: the winds and the dried out greens and the hard greens,
- 22:33Speaker 2: like he just wasn't able to get it close enough
- 22:35Speaker 2: to make some birdie putts. But he played well yesterday.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Well it comes out this morning playing well again, hitting
- 22:40Speaker 2: his spots. But the greens are a little bit more forgiving.
- 22:44Speaker 2: They got a little bit of do on them. They're
- 22:47Speaker 2: holding their line a little bit better and certainly playing well.
- 22:52Speaker 2: So look for some guys that played in the afternoon
- 22:56Speaker 2: yesterday that are just hanging around at that plus two
- 22:58Speaker 2: to one even maybe minus one area. Look for them,
- 23:02Speaker 2: some of those guys to put up some scores this morning.
- 23:05Speaker 2: So we got a little put right here when I'm
- 23:07Speaker 2: Clark for Parler, no surprise made it. And some of
- 23:13Speaker 2: these guys that like like, like Burnsey and McElroy, they went,
- 23:16Speaker 2: they went and did what they needed to do. Playing
- 23:18Speaker 2: in that morning group win shot minus five under yesterday.
- 23:23Speaker 2: This is their hold On day. They got a hold
- 23:25Speaker 2: onto that. Don't have anything bad happen because they're gonna
- 23:28Speaker 2: have some win this afternoon. It's gonna be dry, but
- 23:31Speaker 2: it's gonna make for some extraordinarily entertaining golf this weekend.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Can't wait? Can you imagine no rain all four days
- 23:40Speaker 2: at Augusta National coming down Sunday afternoon? You can hardly
- 23:46Speaker 2: contain myself. Wow, Jake, can't wait? You can't wait to
- 23:54Speaker 2: go watch some guys from eat On play a little footy. No,
- 23:58Speaker 2: they're not my favorite style of sucker. I wouldn't watch them.
- 24:02Speaker 2: I really don't like national team list. It's our national team,
- 24:05Speaker 2: to be honest with you. Oh yeah, let's snore to
- 24:09Speaker 2: the game that never stops. What does that mean? Didn't stop?
- 24:14Speaker 2: What does that mean? It runs? Well, it stops when
- 24:16Speaker 2: they bring out the stretcher for they gather Actually five
- 24:19Speaker 2: minutes back, the game stops. Yeah, you said the clock.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I think that's kind of dumb that the clock doesn't stop.
- 24:28Speaker 2: By the way, I don't like it. Well, you like
- 24:31Speaker 2: everything that's dumb about soccer? Yeah, because you like because
- 24:36Speaker 2: there's a lot of dumb things about soccer and the
- 24:38Speaker 2: three rules in soccer. Don't touch it with your hand,
- 24:43Speaker 2: don't cherry pick, and don't be an a hole? What's
- 24:46Speaker 2: cherry pick? Like all sots? Like you can't just hang
- 24:48Speaker 2: out by the goal? Nobody knows that. No, what is
- 24:52Speaker 2: what cherry picking is? Like in basketball? Pick up basketball?
- 24:57Speaker 2: Am I wrong? Maybe I am? Cherry pick is like
- 24:59Speaker 2: you you get like you always pick the best, like
- 25:03Speaker 2: you get the first pick. But you just said it
- 25:04Speaker 2: was off sides. Yeah, that's one of the rules.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, cherry just hang out by the goal like you
- 25:09Speaker 4: have to have a defender behind you, just like in hockey,
- 25:11Speaker 4: same set of rules, three rules in soccer.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I don't know how we just went from talking about
- 25:17Speaker 2: a great sport to crop sport. Yeah, you're right, the
- 25:21Speaker 2: world's most popular sports. So crap. Not in the best
- 25:26Speaker 2: country in the world. I'll bet you a dollar to
- 25:30Speaker 2: a donut.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Every US World Cup game outdoes the ratings for this,
- 25:35Speaker 4: every one of them, all three of them in group play.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Not in America, No, I bet in America. I don't know.
- 25:42Speaker 4: I've never looked at the Radians. Well, if you feel
- 25:45Speaker 4: so confident about like I do, I feel confident.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I just said it. Okay, I don't feel confident. That's
- 25:51Speaker 2: my point. I'm pretty confident that soccer stinks compared to
- 25:59Speaker 2: go off. Okay, I'm very confident in the Rats, the Seagal,
- 26:08Speaker 2: Windham Clark right there, just cherry picked that shot right there.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Mm hmm. You're gonna try to go to any World
- 26:19Speaker 2: Cup games? I would love to.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I don't know work schedule, I don't know how that works, sure,
- 26:27Speaker 4: but I would love to. I'm playing in Houston, it's
- 26:30Speaker 4: right down the road. Remote.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah, no, actually I would. I'd go. I'd like to
- 26:42Speaker 2: go to the game. Well, I s you can hate, No,
- 26:47Speaker 2: I would enjoy it. I would. I would enjoy going
- 26:49Speaker 2: to the game by the US is playing on the
- 26:53Speaker 2: like I think La and Seattle. Yeah, it's I don't
- 26:57Speaker 2: think i'd want to go to any other games just
- 27:01Speaker 2: for the scenes. I'd want to go with my face
- 27:06Speaker 2: painted with American flag tied around my neck like a cape.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'm assuming you can do that, right you can? Where
- 27:19Speaker 2: is that disrespectful? Do what? Like? Like tied an American
- 27:24Speaker 2: flag around you?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Like?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they can do that. Yeah, Because there's there's
- 27:27Speaker 2: certain there's certain things you're not supposed to do. Of course,
- 27:30Speaker 2: don't tear it, don't drop it, don't touch it to
- 27:33Speaker 2: the ground. But I don't want to disrespect it by
- 27:36Speaker 2: tying part of it.
- 27:37Speaker 7: No, I think you're good.
- 27:39Speaker 2: You're not.
- 27:39Speaker 7: You're not like tearing it to tie it or anything
- 27:44Speaker 7: what what they call it defiling it? You're not doing that,
- 27:48Speaker 7: all right?
- 27:50Speaker 2: I feel better?
- 27:55Speaker 4: Okay, buddy, do you sym ups up if you think
- 27:59Speaker 4: you can upset me at this point in our life.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Just seem quiet over the long time and just letting
- 28:04Speaker 2: y'all get the talk out. I'm good, you seen it.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm excited to pick up. We're gonna we'll have
- 28:15Speaker 4: teams for the World Cup. For the turnover chain coach
- 28:19Speaker 4: Sean Hudson, l SHU soccer coach is gonna come in
- 28:23Speaker 4: the women's soccer coach man because they don't have a
- 28:25Speaker 4: men's team. But if they did, I'm gonna ask you.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I ask you the coach of the men's team the
- 28:30Speaker 4: other day, and you were trying to give an answer.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But you can imagine what would be like if we did.
- 28:36Speaker 2: We'd buy the best men's coach in the country. We would.
- 28:42Speaker 2: There's no doubt. There's no doubt. Oh there's you got
- 28:46Speaker 2: right there. We asked about Johnson. You said something about Johnson.
- 28:49Speaker 2: That is Zach Johnson. What Johnson were you asking about?
- 28:53Speaker 2: This is Johns. Where's that guy at? Well? He was
- 28:56Speaker 2: plus one yesterday. I'm sorry he kind of lost a
- 28:59Speaker 2: little bit of his his work ethic when he went
- 29:01Speaker 2: over to live because he.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Just feel like he vanished. Like he's still around.
- 29:05Speaker 6: I saw him in the picture of the Master's dinner
- 29:07Speaker 6: and I was like, I haven't thought of Dustin Johnson
- 29:10Speaker 6: in two years.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Right, Well, when you get nine figure contract nine on
- 29:15Speaker 2: the front end.
- 29:16Speaker 7: Didn't he married to Wayne Gretzky's daughter, Yes, yes.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Sure is. What's her name, Paulina? I think ms Gretzky,
- 29:29Speaker 2: No Johnson, slash Johnson. I don't know. She might be slash,
- 29:33Speaker 2: she might be hyphenated.
- 29:36Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break. We do have our guy,
- 29:39Speaker 4: Devin snow still like join us, uh, nine to fifteen.
- 29:42Speaker 4: We're gonna got Friday suits him.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I do too.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Well, we did Monday for such a long time because

- 32:07Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTV. A lot from the
- 32:10Speaker 4: Raisin Kanes studio. Banger going And I you know, Matthew,
- 32:16Speaker 4: I was sitting here and I was thinking. Last year
- 32:19Speaker 4: I wrote an article in Louisiana Sports Done Net about
- 32:22Speaker 4: my draft day experience.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Okay, what it was like for me and when we
- 32:25Speaker 2: were getting drafted.
- 32:26Speaker 4: It was rounds one and two and one day three, four, five,
- 32:29Speaker 4: six and seven on the next day. And I've told
- 32:32Speaker 4: my draft story about I got drafted before our party
- 32:35Speaker 4: started because we screwed up the time zones, and it
- 32:37Speaker 4: was a lot of fun. By the time everybody got there,
- 32:39Speaker 4: we were well hydrated and having a great time. I
- 32:42Speaker 4: don't think i've ever heard your draft day story of
- 32:45Speaker 4: when you got selected by the Green Bay Packers and
- 32:48Speaker 4: how that day played out for you and maybe what
- 32:50Speaker 4: your expectations were.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It was, okay, very exciting stuff. I'm gonna give you,
- 32:57Speaker 2: since none of our guests will do it. Good question,
- 33:01Speaker 2: really good question. Than so, on my diraft day, like
- 33:04Speaker 2: the having the big party was kind of all the rage.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Certainly my family came and my parents came down. I
- 33:12Speaker 2: didn't want to have a party. I wanted to just
- 33:15Speaker 2: go play play golf of the fellas.
- 33:17Speaker 4: I actually, funny enough, I don't play golf, but I
- 33:19Speaker 4: went and played golf in the first and second round.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Did you I did, Yeah, just to kind of get
- 33:23Speaker 4: away and some of my high school buddies, my father
- 33:25Speaker 4: in law, my brother in law.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yea. So my favorite course in college was the Bluffs
- 33:33Speaker 2: because that was like you tried to kill me, yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 2: try to kill you. Yeah. The bluffs was beautiful at
- 33:38Speaker 2: that time. If anybody ever played the Bluffs listening out there,
- 33:43Speaker 2: you know at the at the peak, like the Bluff
- 33:45Speaker 2: was the buss was the greatest course in the state.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Like it was gorgeous. It's a beautiful track, beautiful piece
- 33:51Speaker 2: of property, and when it was kept up the right
- 33:53Speaker 2: way at that time, was incredible. So good for you.
- 33:57Speaker 2: The golf course I went to wasn't like that. No,
- 33:59Speaker 2: it wasn't like it.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Same to the one in the Port City that is
- 34:02Speaker 4: no no longer open, okay, And it was one where
- 34:05Speaker 4: the guy teeing off in front of us had on
- 34:07Speaker 4: Timberlands jean shorts and a cutoff shirt.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yep, now watch his drive exactly. So good for you. Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 2: So I go out there and I call the Bluffs
- 34:16Speaker 2: and we tell them the situation. I'm like, hey, can
- 34:18Speaker 2: you just block out like two hours of tea times? Y? Yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 2: because I'm gonna bring I got ten people. We're gonna
- 34:23Speaker 2: play a tensum and like it's a special situation, like
- 34:27Speaker 2: we'll pay for it whatever, Like, well, let's just give me,
- 34:29Speaker 2: give me two hours of ten times blocked out because
- 34:31Speaker 2: we are going to be slow. It's gonna be a
- 34:34Speaker 2: fun six seven hour round. We're gonna have some ice
- 34:37Speaker 2: called bevies. Yeah, we're just gonna We're gonna hang out
- 34:40Speaker 2: with the fellas and so we all. I mean, it's
- 34:42Speaker 2: like a eight carts drive it out there with people
- 34:45Speaker 2: and we're just some people playing some people not and
- 34:49Speaker 2: tough part was is what I didn't think about on
- 34:52Speaker 2: the front end was it was it a great cell
- 34:55Speaker 2: phone service out there. Part of the deal is you
- 35:00Speaker 2: have to talk on the phone to teams when they call. Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So I got drafted the seventh round. I probably was
- 35:08Speaker 2: trying to get They were probably trying to draft me
- 35:10Speaker 2: in the third or fourth. They just couldn't get hold.
- 35:11Speaker 2: They couldn't get through, they couldn't get a hold of me.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So I'm sitting there and I'm watching we're playing golf,
- 35:17Speaker 2: and like, so you were actually on the course when
- 35:19Speaker 2: you got drafted. I was on the course. Actually pretty cool.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I was on the course, and I think I was
- 35:24Speaker 2: on the whole thirteen. But we go and I'm I
- 35:29Speaker 2: don't know what to expect going into that day because
- 35:31Speaker 2: your agents saying some people, have you have you heard
- 35:34Speaker 2: the fifth round four to six some people? Yeah, but
- 35:38Speaker 2: I'm confident I'm going to get drafted. But then I
- 35:41Speaker 2: start like, the draft keeps going on and there's no call,
- 35:45Speaker 2: and fifth round comes by and I see like the
- 35:47Speaker 2: people that are getting drafted in front of me, and
- 35:49Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, get a little upset. Yeah,
- 35:54Speaker 2: I get that, Lacey was you know. See I'm getting set.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Maybe serve me and a sure cold pop. Yeah, you
- 36:01Speaker 2: know what I mean. So We're going throughout the day,
- 36:03Speaker 2: and it was a long day, a little agonizing. Yeah.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Now I thought I would cut the ag like that
- 36:10Speaker 2: part because I'm golf with the fellas. But at a
- 36:13Speaker 2: certain point, once we got to that, about mid sixth round,
- 36:16Speaker 2: I started getting pissed and and then I have told
- 36:22Speaker 2: the story though, when the Green Bay Packers did finally
- 36:24Speaker 2: call me to draft me, they call me and say,
- 36:30Speaker 2: you know, hey, congratulations, blah blah blah, and they put
- 36:33Speaker 2: me on the phone the guy that handles like all
- 36:34Speaker 2: the all the flights and all the details like jersey
- 36:38Speaker 2: numbers and everything, and he asked me, Hey, what jersey
- 36:40Speaker 2: would you like to wear? And I'm like, I like fifteen.
- 36:44Speaker 2: And he's like, hmm, you don't really know much about
- 36:47Speaker 2: the Green Bay Packers, do you. I'm like, I mean
- 36:50Speaker 2: I do like I like pred Farv and he's like, well,
- 36:53Speaker 2: part star kind of had that number retired. Yeah. I'm
- 36:57Speaker 2: like okay, well what do you got into double Diggi's
- 37:00Speaker 2: and he's like ten. I was like, perfect, let's ride
- 37:03Speaker 2: with Tim. But I actually funny story, like funny enough,
- 37:08Speaker 2: like the day before I did not want to go
- 37:11Speaker 2: to a cold Weather team. Yeah, Coldwater City. So Brian
- 37:15Speaker 2: brom got drafted in the second round to Green Bay
- 37:17Speaker 2: and like when he got drafted in the second round,
- 37:20Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, another one off the list, another
- 37:22Speaker 2: one off the list. Check it off the list. Not
- 37:24Speaker 2: going to Green Bay, let's go. But when they called
- 37:29Speaker 2: me to draft me, I was like as excited as
- 37:31Speaker 2: I would have been anywhere.
- 37:33Speaker 4: The quarterbacks taken in two thousand and eight, first round,
- 37:37Speaker 4: third overall pick Matt Ryan, who is now the president
- 37:42Speaker 4: basically of the Atlanta Fister president, first round pick eighteen,
- 37:46Speaker 4: Joe Flacco, who's still playing in the NFL. Let's see,
- 37:50Speaker 4: you had Brian Brohm, who you just mentioned. After that,
- 37:54Speaker 4: then you had Chad Henney yep, who we played with,
- 37:58Speaker 4: played with him at the Senior Bowl.
- 38:01Speaker 2: He just hung it up to the Dolphins. Yes, Then
- 38:04Speaker 2: you had in the third round.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Kevin O'Connell to the Patriots, who's now, of course, the
- 38:09Speaker 4: head coach for the Minnesota Vikings.
- 38:11Speaker 2: In the fifth round. Let's see, there was four fifth
- 38:15Speaker 2: round picks I believe at quarterback. Can you name them all?
- 38:18Speaker 2: Colt Brennan, Josh Johnson, You're not gonna name them all.
- 38:25Speaker 4: John David Boodie, my high school quarterback, was one of them.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Dennis Dixon out of Oregon. You mentioned Josh Johnson. You
- 38:34Speaker 4: got that one right out of San Diego, not State,
- 38:36Speaker 4: just San Diego. Eric Ainge from Tennessee in the fifth round.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Then Cole Brennan was in the sixth round. Andre Woodson
- 38:44Speaker 4: from Kentucky was in the sixth round. And there was
- 38:47Speaker 4: two seventh round quarterbacks, Matt Flynn, Alex Brink, and Alex Brink.
- 38:54Speaker 4: So I remember train You remember Alex Brink. I've never
- 38:56Speaker 4: heard of that human.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Washington State, I believe, yeah what? And Andre Woodson awesome dude,
- 39:06Speaker 2: by the way, great guy. So I trained with him
- 39:10Speaker 2: at senior. He was a great dude. You know his
- 39:15Speaker 2: team came on Hope and triple overtime against us. He
- 39:19Speaker 2: was training with me in Orlando at the wide World
- 39:22Speaker 2: of Sports for the combine and hung out with him
- 39:24Speaker 2: a bunch. Really good dude. He had a camera crew
- 39:28Speaker 2: following him because he was a top quarterback pick. He
- 39:31Speaker 2: had a camera crew. Like not that he I mean
- 39:34Speaker 2: he probably wasn't hired by him. It was a camera
- 39:36Speaker 2: crew doing a story on Woodson and like the build
- 39:39Speaker 2: up to the draft blah blah blah, and like we
- 39:42Speaker 2: would work, we would do quarterback stuff after like every day,
- 39:46Speaker 2: and that camera crew is falling him blah blah blah,
- 39:48Speaker 2: and it was just funny. So it was like good
- 39:49Speaker 2: motivation for me to work outy oh, this guy's got
- 39:51Speaker 2: a camera blah. And I think he ended up going
- 39:54Speaker 2: like five picks in front of me. He was like
- 39:55Speaker 2: the very last of the sixth round. Let's see, uh,
- 40:02Speaker 2: eleven picks in front of you. Yeah, he was one
- 40:05Speaker 2: ninety eight. You were two oh nine. But like, based
- 40:07Speaker 2: on the camera crew, it's like first rounder. I don't
- 40:11Speaker 2: know many guys that got picked one. Well, if it
- 40:19Speaker 2: makes you feel.
- 40:20Speaker 4: Better, I mean Matt Ryan obviously great career, Joe Flacco
- 40:23Speaker 4: literally still playing.
- 40:25Speaker 2: You had a better career than Brian Brohm.
- 40:27Speaker 4: You had a better career than Kevin O'Connell, John David Bodey,
- 40:30Speaker 4: Dennis Dixon, Eric Age, Andre Woodson, Cole Brennan, and Alex Bring.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'd say you had a better career than Josh Johnson.
- 40:38Speaker 4: He's just played for a lot of teams, right, does
- 40:41Speaker 4: he have a game where he threw for a Brazilion touchdowns?
- 40:44Speaker 2: Ultimate respect for Joshohnson, No doubt. I loved that. I
- 40:47Speaker 2: was well. I was teammates with him in Uh, there's
- 40:50Speaker 2: no doubt, y'all. Y'all cross past somewhere. We did work
- 40:53Speaker 2: out against each other for the Cowboys one point. At
- 40:56Speaker 2: one point, do you remember that when I came with
- 40:59Speaker 2: my free agent is it to Seattle? One of these
- 41:02Speaker 2: quarterbacks that I just named was there working out? Really?
- 41:06Speaker 4: Yeah, you were already signed and one of the quarterbacks
- 41:10Speaker 4: that I just listed was there working out.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Now, I was on a free agent visit. He was
- 41:14Speaker 2: like on a workout visit. I'm going I'm gonna make
- 41:19Speaker 2: up just like, if it's not Josh Johnson, it's not
- 41:22Speaker 2: it's got to be. Was it O'Connell? Was he still
- 41:26Speaker 2: in the league at Kevin O'Connell. Is he still Kevin O'Connell?
- 41:29Speaker 2: Was there trying to work out, trying to get a spot.
- 41:35Speaker 6: Wait, you said you and Josh Johnson worked out against
- 41:38Speaker 6: each other in Dallas.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well they didn't pick him either, for who they picked, Okay,
- 41:42Speaker 2: So so I was just thinking it was twenty fifteen.
- 41:46Speaker 2: This is the year I ended up with the Saints.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Romo got hurt and they bring in four quarterbacks. They
- 41:54Speaker 2: bring me Josh Johnson, Christian Ponder and Bethesda or something
- 42:00Speaker 2: like that. There's a there's another guy, tough, tough ning
- 42:04Speaker 2: to pronounce and remember, uh, we all go and work
- 42:09Speaker 2: out to the other in front of them, because it's
- 42:10Speaker 2: like a Tuesday Monday or Tuesday like work out. You
- 42:12Speaker 2: bring in guys. So they work out and we throw
- 42:16Speaker 2: and they're evaluating. Well, they keep me there. They send
- 42:20Speaker 2: the three guys home. They keep me there because I've
- 42:23Speaker 2: had a good workout, and I say there, I'm sitting
- 42:27Speaker 2: in the locker room for it. This is like mid season.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I'm sitting in the locker room for probably six hours.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Why have my agents negotiating the contract and trying to
- 42:35Speaker 2: like figure it out. But they're really just biding their
- 42:37Speaker 2: time because really they're negotiating with Matt Castle and they
- 42:44Speaker 2: bring Matt Castle like I'm there, and my agent's like,
- 42:47Speaker 2: get you're you're we're about to sign this. You're gonna
- 42:49Speaker 2: be the Cowboys quarterback next week. I'm like sweet and
- 42:52Speaker 2: then huh until they're like, you know what, what what
- 42:55Speaker 2: just happened was what had happened was we're talking to
- 42:58Speaker 2: Matt Castle, and so Matt Castle went't started the rest
- 43:00Speaker 2: of the year, So.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I was almost the Cowboy quarterback, Taylor, and he would
- 43:05Speaker 4: have loved you as much as he loves Dak. All right,

- 45:12Speaker 2: that is very true. I'm not bitter about the Cowboys
- 45:15Speaker 2: decision though, No, not at all about I was telling
- 45:17Speaker 2: Taylor too, like I was playing pretty good football that
- 45:20Speaker 2: that year of my career, not every year, was very
- 45:23Speaker 2: like my best year playing like it.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Is funny you remember the ones that like didn't work
- 45:28Speaker 4: out almost as much as the ones it did.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I remember my bad plays more than I
- 45:32Speaker 2: remember my good places. Oh, no doubt, not.
- 45:36Speaker 4: Even like I still I'm still pissed a Chicago didn't
- 45:40Speaker 4: sign me in twenty twelve. He signed Ryan Grant, who
- 45:44Speaker 4: dropped like seven balls in the workout.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Like, oh, this guy's done. Rgie's my guy. Though, Oh
- 45:51Speaker 2: he was great.
- 45:51Speaker 4: He was great, but he dropped seven balls and I
- 45:55Speaker 4: had like the best workout of my life. Thankfully didn't
- 45:58Speaker 4: work No, I was. I got to play with Peyton.
- 46:00Speaker 4: I would have had to play with bad body language Jay,
- 46:02Speaker 4: So it worked out.
- 46:04Speaker 2: You know what, I mean the worst body language. I
- 46:08Speaker 2: was thinking about Ryan Grant yesterday for some reason. I
- 46:09Speaker 2: don't know how it came up in my brain, but
- 46:11Speaker 2: I remember like during the Notre Dame thing, Notre Dame
- 46:15Speaker 2: like bailing out, I had tweeted something about it and
- 46:18Speaker 2: he responded to me and saying like, you don't understand
- 46:21Speaker 2: blah blah blah it all works. So I was like, hey, Ryan,
- 46:23Speaker 2: if you were captain, what would you what would you
- 46:24Speaker 2: have voted for? I didn't get a response. Oo, he's
- 46:29Speaker 2: a Notre Dame guy. Yeah, quiet huh.
