- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Today is all about mental attitudes, versus mental
- 0:35capacities. So your mental capacity has
- 0:39absolutely nothing to do with your mental attitude, and vice
- 0:42versa, mental attitudes, obviously are all about mindset,
- 0:47mental, capacities are all about what you can learn, not what you
- 0:51have learned, but what you can learn your capacity and
- 0:55sometimes we get very confused between the two of these.
- 0:58And, you know, obviously I I am a firm, believer.
- 1:02I am a 100% firm believer that you should always be learning
- 1:06something. Always be learning.
- 1:08Something doesn't matter what it is.
- 1:10But if you're always learning something, you're inviting a
- 1:13different energy into your body and you're increasing, your
- 1:15mental capacities all the time, you're talking about the fact
- 1:19that you're pushing your brain to be able to grow.
- 1:22So you're keeping your neuroplasticity, you're pushing
- 1:25the edge of the volume on that and that's what's so important.
- 1:29The capacity, He's for it actually diminish.
- 1:32When you don't use it which is what's so funny about it.
- 1:35And we all know, like I have a lot of clients who are realtors
- 1:39and what's funny about that is they'll often talk about the
- 1:42fact that a house was not lived in, and one would think that if
- 1:46the house was not lived in, it would be pristine.
- 1:49But you know what happens, the house actually starts to fall
- 1:51apart the house actually starts to suffer from neglect.
- 1:55Now, the people that lived in the house might not do anything
- 1:58with it, they might not be doing anything at all with it.
- 2:00But all of a sudden, a house that doesn't have energy in, it
- 2:04starts to just diminish, and it starts to fall apart.
- 2:08Well, guess what? That's what actually happens to
- 2:10your mental capacities. If you are not pushing yourself
- 2:14with them, all the time, nothing is more important than learning
- 2:18new things. Because when you do that, it
- 2:21comes with a whole different energy comes with a whole
- 2:23different understanding it comes with just, I mean, to me, it's
- 2:26just Grand outcomes. If you can't tell, I'm always
- 2:28very excited about learning new things.
- 2:30And it doesn't matter what it is.
- 2:32It's why I paint. It's why I this year I'm taking
- 2:35on fermenting things differently, kombuchas and
- 2:39working towards making bread sounds so silly.
- 2:41But bread bread is a science. Well, once I finish this whole
- 2:4430 then I can make bread and right now.
- 2:47No, none of that. So the point is you have you
- 2:52have to realize that the capacities that you're looking
- 2:55for come with a push. So first part of this is push.
- 2:59Push push. Learn something new.
- 3:02I had a client recently, who took I recommended a book to?
- 3:05And he said to me, boy, this book is hard for me to read.
- 3:08I'm not enjoying it and I said, if it's hard for you to read,
- 3:11that's the exact reason. You should be reading it because
- 3:14you want to push yourself. It doesn't matter if you don't
- 3:16understand it, there have been plenty of times Neville.
- 3:18Goddard, one of my most favorite mentors out there, read his
- 3:22books and you will your brain will hurt your head actually
- 3:26hurts from reading the stuff. This guy wrote, It's just
- 3:30Credibly deep and you have to pause and really be present with
- 3:34it, but that push that shove is there, I will read it and then I
- 3:39will say I have no clue what I just read and I will go back and
- 3:42reread it and I will do that over and over and over and over
- 3:45and over and over and over. I have spent years just reading
- 3:48Neville, nothing else because I didn't I didn't grasp it the
- 3:52way, I knew it should be. And even to this day, I will
- 3:55still go back and read and listen to his books because I
- 3:58know I missed things. And I push my mental capacities,
- 4:02so it's learning new things that are easier.
- 4:04Learning new things that are harder pushing yourself into
- 4:07being a better person, first part of that.
- 4:10Now, mental attitudes. Well, that's all about the
- 4:13mindset piece and we talk about that all the time, but your
- 4:15mindset is so critical to everything that you do every
- 4:21single thing that you do has to be run through the filters of
- 4:25what you decide is, right? You what you decide and you have
- 4:28to realize that the more or you decide that you're going to have
- 4:32a positive attitude, the more that you decide, you're going to
- 4:35be the person that is focused and happy and joyous and
- 4:40grateful and have that good attitude.
- 4:42The more great things are going to come to you.
- 4:44And the more you're going to be able to put yourself into the
- 4:49place of receiving them because you have that great attitude.
- 4:53It is fundamental, my friends fundamental.
- 4:56So if you really want to make the biggest shift in your life,
- 5:00you have to recognize that the two things, the mental attitude
- 5:04versus the mental capacities. Yes, they're two completely
- 5:07different things and you need them both, you need to
- 5:11constantly be pushing that neuroplasticity, you need to
- 5:15constantly be pushing yourself so that you can attain what
- 5:20you're looking for. So, I hope you have a blessed
- 5:23day. Go, learn something fabulous
- 5:24today and have a great attitude about it and I will see you all
- 5:27tomorrow. Bye.
