- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: The next thing is I like to call this rules
- 1:02Speaker 3: of engagement. So you can see that I've got pictures
- 1:05Speaker 3: of myself delivering you know, for different audiences. You know,
- 1:08Speaker 3: you've got some of them laughing because you know, I
- 1:10Speaker 3: like to think I'm funny at times, right, And there's
- 1:13Speaker 3: different ways that you can engage your audience, right, So
- 1:15Speaker 3: you know, you've got your games and your ice breakers.
- 1:18Speaker 3: So there's different games that I like to play with
- 1:19Speaker 3: my audience, you know, depending on the size. You know,
- 1:22Speaker 3: you can get games where you get them to stand
- 1:24Speaker 3: up and do things as you can see in like
- 1:26Speaker 3: one of the images as well, you can get your audience,
- 1:28Speaker 3: you know, get on with tasks and activities. Another thing
- 1:32Speaker 3: that I think is so important that I'm really gonna
- 1:35Speaker 3: kind of given this.
- 1:36Speaker 4: A section is energy.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Your energy is so important when it comes to engaging
- 1:41Speaker 3: your audience.
- 1:41Speaker 4: But I'll delve into that later.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Videos are very important as well, because at times what
- 1:46Speaker 3: videos do this is really good, but really good tip. Right,
- 1:49Speaker 3: videos help to give you a break, but also gives
- 1:52Speaker 3: your audience something else to look at visually that is
- 1:56Speaker 3: nice for them.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Naturally, you know, when you when you flick on the video, you.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Almost refocus your audience because where you've been talking and
- 2:03Speaker 3: talking and talking at them for so long. Naturally, as
- 2:06Speaker 3: human beings, we begin to fizzle out and lose focus.
- 2:09Speaker 3: So now when you're now switching the video. The video
- 2:11Speaker 3: can have the message that you want to say, and
- 2:13Speaker 3: it'd be really helpful. And sometimes I just find that
- 2:15Speaker 3: there are messages out there where someone's already created a
- 2:19Speaker 3: video that maybe can just explain the message better than
- 2:23Speaker 3: I can explain the message. So definitely, definitely do not
- 2:26Speaker 3: be afraid to kind of incorporate videos into your presentation. Again, pictures,
- 2:31Speaker 3: so as you can see right now, as I'm presenting,
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm using pictures as a visual aid, especially as this
- 2:37Speaker 3: is being delivered online, but even when I'm in person,
- 2:40Speaker 3: I like to have something in the background just so
- 2:43Speaker 3: that my audience have something that's kind of pleasing on
- 2:46Speaker 3: the eyes.
- 2:47Speaker 4: You know, It's better than staring.
- 2:48Speaker 3: At a plain background and you're just there, right, It's
- 2:52Speaker 3: nice to kind of give some sort of visual aid
- 2:54Speaker 3: with pictures to help you know with the presentation that
- 2:57Speaker 3: you're delivering.
- 2:58Speaker 4: So visual representation is.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Very, very very important when it comes to engaging your audience.
- 3:05Speaker 3: You might be talking about a particular subject, right, and
- 3:08Speaker 3: if you can throw up a picture of what you're
- 3:10Speaker 3: talking about, it just helps to engage your audience. And
- 3:13Speaker 3: it could be something as simple as I'm talking to
- 3:15Speaker 3: you guys about lions and I throw up a picture
- 3:17Speaker 3: of a lion chasing a gazelle. It could be that simple,
- 3:21Speaker 3: but it just helps to connect and you know, engage
- 3:23Speaker 3: my audience with the message.
- 3:25Speaker 4: That I'm saying.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So these are just some simple tools and tips that
- 3:29Speaker 3: you can incorporate into any sort of presentation. Now we're
- 3:33Speaker 3: going to get into the juicy part of things, right,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and that is how to connect with your audience. I
- 3:38Speaker 3: don't know if any of you have ever given a
- 3:41Speaker 3: public speech, a presentation and you feel like your audience
- 3:46Speaker 3: is not engaged with you, or they're disconnected, or you
- 3:49Speaker 3: feel like are they even enjoying what I'm saying? Right,
- 3:52Speaker 3: There's so many things that you can do as a
- 3:55Speaker 3: speaker to help you connect with your audience. Then the
- 3:59Speaker 3: one thing is is know your audience so you can
- 4:02Speaker 3: build rapport. So I touched on this earlier. For example,
- 4:05Speaker 3: once I know my demographic, once another type of audience
- 4:08Speaker 3: I've got, I know exactly what I can prepare for
- 4:10Speaker 3: them in terms of stories, if I'm going to tell
- 4:13Speaker 3: a joke, in terms of visual aid, It's so important
- 4:16Speaker 3: that you know the audience that you have in front
- 4:19Speaker 3: of you. So even when you're asking questions for them,
- 4:21Speaker 3: you're asking questions that your audience can relate to. Also,
- 4:26Speaker 3: tell your audience something about you. People love learning about
- 4:31Speaker 3: the person that is speaking to them, right. People don't
- 4:35Speaker 3: like it when you know you're giving them instructions, you're
- 4:38Speaker 3: telling them to do things, and they have no clue
- 4:41Speaker 3: about who you are as a person.
- 4:43Speaker 4: You know. Another thing you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Can do with your audience is, you know, talk about
- 4:47Speaker 3: current affairs. So things that are happening in the country,
- 4:51Speaker 3: things that's happening in the news right now. Feel free
- 4:53Speaker 3: to bring that into your presentation. So for example, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 3: when we were going through the thick of COVID naturally,
- 4:59Speaker 3: I was making a lot of references to COVID to
- 5:02Speaker 3: lockdown to you know, going through the pandemic at that time.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Why because it was a current affair.
- 5:07Speaker 3: So feel free to you know, connect with your audience
- 5:10Speaker 3: with current affairs. You know, there was times when I
- 5:12Speaker 3: was making jokes with my audience, like, hey man, how
- 5:14Speaker 3: many of you can't get toilet roll at your local supermarket.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I go to my local supermarket and order toilet roll
- 5:20Speaker 3: is you know, cleared off the shelves, and people are
- 5:22Speaker 3: laughing like yeay man, it's the same for me, and
- 5:24Speaker 3: that's how you can almost make a current.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Affair that This episode is brought to you by P

- 7:18Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 7:22Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 7:26Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 7:30Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 7:34Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 7:38Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 7:42Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 7:47Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over

- 7:52Speaker 2: Have been arrested.

- 8:12Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 8:19Speaker 3: So sensitive, lighthearted at the same time, but connect with
- 8:23Speaker 3: your audiences at the same time, because hey man, we're
- 8:26Speaker 3: all going through lockdown at the same time, right then.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You know, another way to connect with your audience is facts.
- 8:32Speaker 3: It's figures, it's finding.
- 8:34Speaker 4: No.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I love it when people educated me, especially as a speaker.
- 8:38Speaker 3: So you know when you hear stuff like hey, seventy
- 8:40Speaker 3: percent of this is this, I'm like, oh wow, okay,
- 8:44Speaker 3: you're dropping some game on me right now. You give
- 8:46Speaker 3: me some jams, okay, and you know you start to
- 8:48Speaker 3: take note. You're looking. People love learning, right, people love learning,
- 8:53Speaker 3: So feel free to drop some facts on them.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Some figures some finding and again, man, stories, stories, I'm
- 8:59Speaker 4: going to keep banging on about stories. Stories are just
- 9:02Speaker 4: one of the most powerful ways to connect with your audience.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Now I watch this, I want to say this right.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Because one thing that has happened with a lot of
- 9:09Speaker 3: speakers right is don't.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Be a robot.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I'm going to say it again, guys, don't be a robot. Oh,
- 9:15Speaker 3: mister Peter says stories. So let me make sure I
- 9:19Speaker 3: have a story in my presentation. Now have a story
- 9:22Speaker 3: in your presentation if it makes sense.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Because I've been to so many seminars and I'm.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Talking to some of the top speakers in the world,
- 9:29Speaker 3: you know Tony Robbins, I've been to the four day
- 9:31Speaker 3: Seminars Unleashed It. I've been there when I've had speakers
- 9:34Speaker 3: come in and I'm like, oh, this is what this
- 9:36Speaker 3: guy's doing.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Oh this is the part way.
- 9:38Speaker 6: And now he's going to tell a story because now
- 9:40Speaker 6: after the story, he wants to sell a product.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I get it right.
- 9:44Speaker 3: So what he's trying to do is connect with me emotionally.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But it's manipulation because he's connected with me emotionally, so
- 9:50Speaker 3: he can sell a product.
- 9:51Speaker 6: That's not what I'm here to do right. When you
- 9:54Speaker 6: tell a story, make sure it comes from the heart.
- 9:57Speaker 6: Make sure it's authentic.
- 9:58Speaker 3: So when I tell stories about my person, life and
- 10:00Speaker 3: my family, I ain't setting no product to you. I'm
- 10:03Speaker 3: tending it to you because I I ain't trying to
- 10:05Speaker 3: hide from you. I ain't trying to be fake with you.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I'm trying to keep it real with you. Right to
- 10:10Speaker 3: tell stories that make sense. But don't be no salesperson.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Don't don't don't don't don't, don't.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Don't.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Don't use stories as a form of manipulation. Because one
- 10:17Speaker 3: thing we appreciate as people, we appreciate it when people
- 10:21Speaker 3: keep it real with us. You know, tell me a story,
- 10:23Speaker 3: not because you're trying to sell me a product. Tell
- 10:25Speaker 3: me a story because you're trying to change my life.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Tell me a story because you're trying to add some
- 10:29Speaker 3: value to me. Right, It's so important, And watch this man.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Do not underestimate the power of telling jokes.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Now, hand me up. Guys. No, you do not have
- 10:39Speaker 4: to be a comedian.
- 10:40Speaker 3: No, you don't have to have jokes pre written, right,
- 10:43Speaker 3: but don't be afraid to tell jokes. And I don't
- 10:46Speaker 3: care if you work in a corporate environment. I've done
- 10:49Speaker 3: many corporate talks, many very formal talks where I run
- 10:53Speaker 3: joke with those people. I run joke with my orders,
- 10:56Speaker 3: with these big ce ohs, these professionals, these.
- 10:59Speaker 6: Millionaires out I don't care who you are. I'm gonna
- 11:01Speaker 6: make you laugh. Why because it's so important. Right, we'll
- 11:05Speaker 6: human at the end of the day, and that's what
- 11:07Speaker 6: people need to remember. And I don't know about you,
- 11:09Speaker 6: but as human beings, we love to laugh.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Right, So don't think, oh, because I'm corporate, because I'm
- 11:14Speaker 3: in a shirt and I'm gonna tie, and I'm in
- 11:16Speaker 3: this formal environment.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Do you know what?
- 11:18Speaker 3: Deep down, these corporate people, they love it when someone's
- 11:22Speaker 3: you know, you know, confident enough to be different and
- 11:25Speaker 3: be informal in their talks.
- 11:27Speaker 4: So I'll always drop some joke with them. I'll go
- 11:29Speaker 4: with them, give them a high five. It's like, oh,
- 11:31Speaker 4: this is different.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Yeah, you're right, it's different because I ain't trying to
- 11:35Speaker 6: be like everybody else. Guys, I'm gonna tell you jokes,
- 11:38Speaker 6: I'm gonna run game when you We're gonna have a
- 11:40Speaker 6: good time.
- 11:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna treat you like you're one of my friends.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I'm gonna treat you like your family. Why, But I
- 11:45Speaker 3: know that I've got value to add and what I'm
- 11:47Speaker 3: trying to do whenever I'm delivering a talk, whenever I've
- 11:50Speaker 3: got an audience in front of me, I want it
- 11:52Speaker 3: to be a pleasant experience.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Right. I don't look at it as a gig, whether
- 11:57Speaker 4: you're playing me for it and not that this is
- 11:59Speaker 4: very important. Right.
- 12:00Speaker 3: When I got into motivational speaking, right, guys, I never
- 12:03Speaker 3: even knew it was a career. I never knew people
- 12:06Speaker 3: got paid for it. I didn't even know it was
- 12:08Speaker 3: an industry. So I feel like my ignorance to speaking
- 12:12Speaker 3: was one of my biggest blessings, right because I was just.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Keeping it real with people.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I was just giving people advice that you know, I
- 12:20Speaker 3: wish I had when I was their age. I was
- 12:22Speaker 3: giving people advice that I knew that I would appreciate.
- 12:26Speaker 3: I've never been to a speaking camp. I ain't goal university,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and you know, get a degree in speaking. Speaking is
- 12:34Speaker 3: my gift, guys, Speaking is my gift. Right, So I said,
- 12:38Speaker 3: you know what, I'm going to use my gift to
- 12:40Speaker 3: connect with people and help people.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Right, So feel free to just be yourself man.
- 12:46Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
